- Heat Pump Condenser Dryer: Instead of a condenser, these dryers use heat pumps to remove the moisture from clothing. They work by using the air around them and then transfers it to the heat pump. And use a combination of hot and cold coils. Once the hot coils are heated up, the cold coils condense the air releasing the dampness and producing heat. After a moment, the air's temperature rises and goes back into the drum. Since these dryers use recirculated air, they require less energy to operate, making them more energy-efficient than other models.
The other thing you should consider when looking at dryers is the size. If you have a large family, you will want one with a larger drum. But if it's just you and one other person, you can get away with a smaller unit.
