I’ve owned several “high end” dryers and was disappointed every time. This Amana dryer is super energy-efficient and quiet! For the price, it’s the best dryer I’ve ever owned!

First and foremost DO NOT PURCHASE AMANA anything!!! I made that huge mistake when purchasing my oven and bottom freezer refrigerator in 2004. Compressor was dead within 5yrs of purchase. The stove was and is a nightmare!! Of course this stove is no longer made and good luck trying to find parts. This stove retail was approximately 1100.00 middle of the road price but for all the error codes it throws out, it makes one think how dumb was I to even THINK about buying this model or brand!!Replaced two oven sensors, temp regulators now door does not shut correctly therefore heat escapes from oven and get ready because when that happens the timer/clock control board melts!!! Really???!!! AMANA is blind to this and will ignore all of your complaints!!! You might as well just hold a match to your money when it comes to AMANA!! One will have difficulty finding parts for a discontinued model on anything but this is how AMANA conducts business!!! I totally understand with time all things need to be replaced and simply run its course. However, 4 to 5 yrs life expectancy is max on all AMANA anything! Just tell yourself AMANA is no longer being made and save yourself the aggravation.

We had a brand new house built two years ago. The builder installed Amana appliances, except the fridge and washer and dryer, which we furnished. Our dishwasher gave out after only a year and a half. It was more effective to buy a new one than to have the part replaced. 6 months later, our oven just gave out as well. Itll cost half the price to have someone to come look at it as it will to replace it, and if nothing is wrong were out $200 off the bat. Horrible customer service and horrible product integrity, what an awful company!

It is too cramped, much of the size is on the outside, not the inside. The shelves are inadequate and the inner construction of both shelves and drawers is flimsy. The real problem is my better half has looked at alternatives and they are no better. I could best call it all flash and no fire.

I purchased a brand new washer and dryer set, just over a year the washer quit working. I called Amana and they covered it under warranty, 2 weeks later it quit again doing the exact same thing it was doing before, and now they wont cover it again because Im out of warranty time coverage. So Im stuck with a broken washer thats just over a year old. ***BUYER BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM AMANA***

I have had this microwave for about 32 years. It is still working. Doesn't look too good because of age. Wish I could find another one that would give this type of service.

This refrigerator cost me around $400 over 25 years ago and is still going strong. I've broken several pieces to it and it still is kicking. I can't get this fridge to quit! It's as cold as ever and keeps everything great.

We bought and set up the Amana ART316TFDW in our house in October 2017. It came with a one year limited parts warranty and no option for a 3 year extended warranty. In August 2019, less than two years after purchase, the refrigerator repairman said it was leaking Freon and would be expensive to fix. He recommended buying a new fridge. Thats about the time we lost our cool too.

My microwave splatters really easy even when food is covered my a paper towel. It melts plastic easily. I have to pay closer attention when I use any plastic product. I like to microwave and leave while cooking. I cannot do this.

I purchased an Amana stainless steel refrigerator with freezer drawer on bottom in December 2010 for $1,200. Just five months past, the 12-month warranty freezer defroster stopped functioning and water would pour out from freezer all over kitchen floor. Repair cost $250 to install a heater rod that the repair company (REO Appliance in Norwalk, CT, where we purchased the product) told us used to be installed in the units by Amana at the factory but chose to stop using them to save money. The heater rod cost $20. The rest of the cost was for the service call and labor. Amana refused to refund our money. The unit is expensive and obviously faulty from the way it is manufactured, but Amana refuses to make good on it. They apparently believe once you are past the 12-month warranty, you are on your own. We will never buy Amana again. The stuff is junk.

Contacted Whirlpool/Amana regarding my 95 year old mothers washing machine. She purchased in February 2014. She uses the machine once or twice a week. During the rinse cycle, the water pumps in and out at the same time. No agitation. One year warranty on machine, so the company will not replace for free. My brother and I have contacted them repeatedly with no solution.

We purchased a new home in 2013 and had Amana appliances put in home. We figured since Amana had been around so many years that they would be a great choice! WRONG! The washer is a nightmare! It will not spin clothes on any cycle without going into a huge across the floor thumping dance! It doesn’t matter what size load either! It simply will not spin without going unbalanced. It slams so hard it has scratched up the dryer sitting beside it! NEVER will I purchase another Amana product! From the sound of these comments, it will do no good to contact the company! And this thing has been doing this straight out of the box!! Dont buy Amana!!! Very disappointed from Cottonwood, Alabama!

The Amana washer and dryer came with the apt we rented. The apt had been renovated with new cabinets and appliances. Only the washer and dryer are Amana. Both the washer and dryer (side by side) are full size. The washer takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to wash a normal size load. The dryer takes 2 hours to dry a normal size load. The maintainence people told me Amana machines are very slow and there is nothing they can do. My electric bill is almost $300 a month. I have had many washers and dryers over the years. Never have I experienced this. A normal size load should not take more than an hour. NEVER buy either the Amana washer or dryer. I am actually considering buying my own washer and dryer. Even though having these are part of my rent. I even tried washing a very small load and it still took over an hour to wash and an over an hour to dry in these awful appliances. BEWARE!!!

We have only had this Heat Pump/Air conditioner for about two weeks--so far so good. It is easy to operate and does the job as expected. Bell Air Conditioning was very easy to work with and did an excellent job. We are pleased, so far.

French doors are great. The cover over the meat keeper broke and can’t be repaired or replaced. Freezer is nice, but I struggle to find anything in it, however the two sliding drawers are nice. Great ice maker, keeps up easily.

Washer machine take a long time to wash. Dont know if it rinses cause its always in wash. Have never had a problem with any other brand but this one has been the first washer that I hate. I want my money back.

This washer has been with me about 20 years and keeps on keeping on. Does a good job on spin out. Not too loud.. It's got three load sizes. If I buy another one it will be this kind. I bought it at Lowe's.

I have an Amana refrigerator that is less than 1 year old. It makes a very loud chattering noise. I have been trying to get it serviced since Jan 31. There is no certified service in Clatsop County. After 3 months of phone calls with Amana They told me to find my own. I finally called Sears and a tech came out. Now I have to pay all the costs and wait to be reimbursed. Horrible customer service.

I bought an Amana stove 2 years ago. It has been in service 5 times within the last year. The temperature control board keeps messing up. Called customer service. They said to reset it. Which I had to do 3 times and still couldnt finish making dinner. It was last fixed in November and its out again. They really dont care. Told me buy extra warranty for 400$. REALLY!!! Lets just say my response was not nice. I told them since they didnt care I would let people know about my bad experience and terrible product, she hung up on me. Now I have a useless stove because it cost just as much to fix it than what I paid for it. I would never recommend this company or product to anyone.

This is the worst washing machine Ive ever used! You cannot soak any clothes because if you walk away with the lid open during the filling cycle and you do not close the lid within 10 minutes it pumps the water out. There is no way to delay the wash cycle in order to soak a load of clothes. The rise cycle fills with cold water, does not agitate, and immediately pumps the water out. When it has finished pumping the water out (there is no way to stop this action) I then need to turn the selector knob to rinse in order to rinse the clothes. This results in my using twice the water for the rinse. Talk about a crummy machine. I had a repairman out to replace the control board, but it only worked for a week. My advice - DO NO BUY AMANA PRODUCTS!

I have Amana Washer in my apartment. When I first used it I noticed my clothes werent clean so I did some research to make sure I was using the right detergent. I was using the right detergent. No water ever entered the washer. It only sprinkled the clothes with water. I had to rewash the clothes by hand to get them clean. This has gone on over a year. Management claim that they called a licensed Amana dealer. I took pictures and sent them to Amana and to the apartment managers. The apartment managers have even came out and have been aware of the machine not working. We had an outage in December and the machine now makes a terrible noise. So the guy that cleans the yard came and unplugged it. After a year of not working properly and never being fixed and now they want me to replace machine that was already damaged. The guy that works here claims he cant remember it not working. This guy stood there and actually lied. If you look at the pictures there is very little water. You have to have water to wash clothes. These were taken in January 2015.

I have to wait till the washer finishes to add fabric softener. So that means I use more water, and that means my bill goes up!! If I try to pause it, it stops and I have to start all over again!! That washer SUCKS!!!! And the handle on the dryer is broken!

On Sept 26, 2011, when the fridge part of my Amana Refrigerator, Model # ABL192ZFES, Serial # 10379497JX, was not cooling properly, I phoned Trail Appliance where I purchased the fridge. They gave me the number of W3 solutions, a contract service company at 1-866-913-1350, and I was given the Extended Warranty Order # G09264, claim # 95199095. The freezer was working fine at this time. A week later, a technician came and told me he needed to order parts to correct the problem.On Nov 7, 2011, a technician came and told me that he would replace the compressor and relay and that the fridge would work fine for many years to come. On Nov 8, 2011, I awoke to find my fridge and freezer not working at all and all the food in the freezer melted. I phoned the technician all day and left messages, on his answering machine, but there was no reply. On Nov 9, 2011 at 10am, I phoned W3 solutions at 1-866-913-1350 and let them know what was happening. The representative then issued a new work order and told me it would be10 days before anyone got back to me. I lost around $200 worth of food and phoned Trail Appliance to complain and try to recover the cost of the food I lost. They told me they could not cover the food cost and I should contact W3 Solutions. I am now without a fridge and not scheduled for an appointment with a technician until Nov 16, 2011.I stayed home all day on Tuesday Nov 15, 2011 but there was no phone call. On Wednesday Nov 16, 2011, at 11 am, I received a phone call from the technician. He told me he had been on a vacation to Hawaii for a week and had received a dispatch for service on my fridge the day before. He told me that the brand new compressor that he had installed on Nov 7, had completely seized up, and he would have to order a new one. I asked him how long that would take and he replied a few daysI am living on canned food at the moment, being without a working fridge or freezer. I made this clear to the technician and he said that this was the best he could do. Its not good enough!It is now 2 months since I initiated the service call and have struggled without a working fridge. There seems to be no accountability for the technicians doing the work, since the technician who installed the compressor and relay would not return my calls. If there is a problem after a technician leaves, the only option is to phone W3 Solutions to book another appointment with a technician to start the process all over again. Then if a technician has to order parts, you wait for the parts to come by snail mail to the technician and service can take months. It would seem that they are trying hard to wear the customer down so as to purchase a new appliance, and skip the service calls. This is ridiculous and I am not happy with Trail Appliance, Whirlpool or W3 Solutions who do contract service for Whirlpool. Its unacceptable!

I purchased an Amana HVAC system and in a little over a year- in the middle of summer it has broke 3 times. We have gone without an AC in Texas for 12 days. I contacted their corporate office and they were no help. I also contacted the distributor and they put me in contact with the regional tech and he told me I needed to be willing to spend some money to try to find the problem. This is unacceptable in my opinion. I am very frustrated and would never recommend this brand.

I purchased a stove/oven a few years ago. I hardly ever use it and the issue is the grates on top of the burner that you place your pots/pans on melted horrible. IT IS A STOVE...Flame comes out of the burner ..You cook on it..Seriously..it melts the burner???? The entire finish burnt off the burners. I would never buy another product from them..A stove top that melts. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

The Amana is good sized, refrigerator on top, freezer on bottom. Shelves have good sizing, everything fits well. It is easy to clean. It is not overly loaded, so it runs pretty well. The compartments are comfortably sized and the drawers are easy to take out to clean.

In the summer of 2018 we bought an Amana gas dryer. For 2 years it worked great then suddenly no heat. On 11/3/20 I researched the parts we would need to fix this issue. We found, through research, that we would need either a new solenoid or a new thermal fuse and new thermostat. We decided to replace all 3 rather than choose wrongly and have to wait for the correct part.On 11/3 I contacted Amana support via the email provided on their website because their website did not list our particular model of dryer in order to determine part #s. On 11/11 they responded asking for my address, phone number, serial #, date of purchase, etc. On that same day I responded and said, No just give me the parts #s so we can move on with our lives. Finally on 11/21, they responded with a link to parts #s. The problem was we already replaced the dryer. We understand fully that Covid is causing delays everywhere in responses to emails but 18 DAYS??? This was utterly ridiculous. We will not be buying any further Amana products to ensure we will not have to deal with this customer service department again.

Amazing furnace! Got some sweet upgrades like UV light to clean the air and WiFi connectivity so I can control the system from where ever we are. It’s been night and day difference this summer compared to last summer on the ease of keeping our home cool! We love our Amana furnace!

We are a single couple with few loads to run. After 3 years our Amana front load washer circuit board went out. It was replaced with a three hundred dollar new one. 3 years after the replacement was installed, the replacement went haywire. This is a circuit board part that everyone says is no longer available because the manufacturer doesnt want to replace anymore.So, long story short: Original cost of new Amana front load originally: $560. Cost of first replacement circuit board $385. (Replacement part lasted 2 years). New cost to replace our Amana washer $600. New cost to haul off Amana washer $50. Wow! My total $1,595. It used to be that Amana was a great name. Ill never buy from them again.

Ice maker on Amana ADT 2105 BW refrigerator/freezer. Ice maker no longer available and NO substitute available. Contacting the company...same thing. So Amana is telling me, Tough luck, sucker.

My washer has given me multiple problems within the first year! It always gets stuck on rinse, which raises my water bill. I have four children and one week before school, my washer stopped working. The technician was supposed to come between one to five. I got home and one of my neighbor said the tech was here at 12:00. He didnt even come back. They were supposed to then come the next day - no show, no call! They have given me nothing but rudeness. Do not buy from this company.

The Amana gas range was installed new in late 2013. The stovetop flames do not have enough adjustment, either the flame is too high or too low, theres hardly any just right flame settings. We already had to replace the igniter for the oven. That detent position for the oven door where you can leave it cracked open a little and failed within a month or so. I would certainly never buy another one.

We bought our Amana fridge from Sears when they first came out with the freezer drawer, at the bottom. Thought it was the coolest thing ever. 3 months after getting it the freezer handle fell off, so my husband screwed it back on. Again it came off. Needless to say it keep coming off. Finally I just got fed up with it and stuck it in the garage. My husband put it back on again. it was on for maybe 6 months, then came right off in his hands again. Well Ill never own a Frigidaire again and I will add Amana to that list too now. Had this fridge for 16 yrs. My next one will be a Samsung.

I currently own an Amana French door refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. I have had these products for a little over a year and the warranty on these products is a year. Recently, my Amana dishwasher model # ADB1500AWS3 panel went out. I have used this product about 20 times. I contacted Amana customer service and they said that even though the warranty expired, they would cover the part and I would have to pay for service and labor. With that understanding, I arranged service on the dishwasher. The repair guy replaced the part for $150.00 and I got a total bill for $243.00 for service, labor, and part. I contacted Amana to ask them what the next step was to get reimbursed for the $150.00. Well long story short, Amana backed out of their word and said that they were not going to cover the part now, even though a supervisor orally agreed to cover the cost of the part. I lost a lot of trust and respect for Amana and their products today. I will never purchase another Amana product again.

We have had our Amana refrigerator for over 26 years and it is still going strong. I have always been pleased with its performance and will be sorry when I have to replace it. They dont make them to last anymore.

When we had purchased our house almost 2 years ago there was a fairly new and barely used Amana range. I use it all the time and never had any issues at all, also like the idea that it is self cleaning even though I hadn't used that feature as of yet but plan on it very soon.

Warning do not accept delivery of stove if when its plugged it says F1E1. It means the stove control panel is broken and oven will not work! An Amana electric stove was ordered online via Home Depot. Delivery time a week. A week passed no stove. Phone call made told they were out of stock and would be in a few weeks. Got a call after a few weeks, delivery would be in the next 2 hours. 4 hours later calls made and no stove would be delivered on next day in a 4 hour open window. Stove arrived, mover said See it works and turned on top burner, was in a hurry and disappeared. Finally a stove top & oven. Went to grocery store did the big shop roasts, baking goods, quiche supplies etc. Got home prepared food for oven. Started preheat and nothing seemed to click or change. Thought it might be user error entering in temp, bake, time etc in wrong order. Called Amana they are not open Sat and Sun. Called Home Depot not helpful since store did not sell it to me, was bought online. Provided a Maytag number called that. Rep wanted model number it was on the stove. It was not on the directions. I read off what was on the stove front and saw no model. Tried oven door, no, no model number. Finally she asked a colleague and said Look in the pull out drawer. No not there but I noticed a thin metal stamped striped hidden by the drawer. Down on my knees, head upside down tried to read print. Too tiny. Gave her model number based on Home Depot photo but then she needed a serial number, on the thin strip. Could not read it. I asked her as I had asked Home Depot what the code meant and had I entered in bake the wrong way and why did it say F1E1. Finally she said I needed a technician since that meant the control panel was broken but without a serial number nothing could be done. That was on a Sat. Tue someone stopped by and was able to write the number down using a flashlight. Called back in and next appointment if keep by Amana will be in a week.Summary a basic stove, no special adaptions, was ordered and it will be between 4-6 weeks before it might be useful. Food had to be thrown out, other items quality diminished by freezing. Why a new stove is delivered with a non working control panel is unacceptable. No remuneration was offered by Amana nor Home Depot for inability to cook, time wasted for delivery and now technician. If your product is not available and does not work you should not be advertising it.

Our Amana/Whirlpool electric dryer failed a month before the warranty expired. It was repaired under warranty. Two years later, the heating element failed. I can fix this myself. I just ordered the part that will cost $136. We are a family of three and we dry clothes outside on a clothesline in the summer, so we didnt wear out this appliance.

I have enjoyed the washer and dryer for the 8 years I have had them. The part that I am very unhappy with is the cost of the parts to fix the problems I have had; heating element that cheapest was one appliance store for $75 (rest online and other store was over $100), worked two times drying clothes then stopped working with going around. Told probably the belt, but again no belts around and had to be ordered, and also told from all appliance stores that old being $56 is higher than other dryers. The belt was not needed so not opened so will be seeing if I can have my money back for it. Told its either the door switch, that would be $25.99, or the board that would cost $200.80. Again, I enjoyed the way it was, but the cost to fix the problems is higher than buying a new one. Very unhappy to spend so much time and so much money along with being told having to order parts shows it is happening quite a lot from owners; annoying and unhappy.

Bought my Amana top-loading washer in April 2014. Most of my laundry isnt deeply soiled, so didnt think much of it for a while. However, becoming more obvious now that my clothes are not getting clean enough. I garden and have a dog, so sometimes get socks soiled and dirt on clothes when dog jumps up. My whites are not white and the soiled areas dont come out. I had my previous Whirlpool washer over 20 years and didnt have this problem. Have checked the manual to be sure Im using right detergent and loading the washer correctly, but hasnt solved the problem. I liked the price, capacity, and no-frills model of the washer I bought, but not happy with the cleaning results. Dont want to have to buy another one, and always thought Amana was a reliable brand, but I personally could not recommend to others.

I bought my Amana Ntw4650yq0 washer new about 5 years ago and it wont spin. I do not recommend the 4600 series and I will never purchase another Amana product because you cant actually contact them.

The dryer stopped working right after the warranty. Replaced the motor. Still doesnt work. Replaced the fuse and again it still will not work. The only thing that I have not replaced on this pile of crap is the buzzer and that still works and its the only thing that does.

Works exactly like an oven should. No problems so far. Has good features and we use it every single day. Easy to clean and easy to use. Doesnt take forever to heat up and maintains heat as it should. The stovetop is also easy to clean and heats up very quickly even though it is electric.

Replaced old 4ton unit with Amana AVXC20 5ton Air Conditioning, like the variable speed compressor and how quiet the unit is when its running.

We bought the Amana washer and dryer 8 months ago. We were very pleased at first as to how silent the washer was. Then we started to notice that the washer was taking longer than usual to wash a regular load of clothes. I didn’t think anything of it until it started making the worst noise I have ever heard, it sounded like the drum was going to come out of the whole shell. I called ABC Warehouse where we bought the set and they told us that it was under manufacturers warranty and to call the warranty service. I called and they set us an appointment for the service repair center, which is Lewis Appliance in my area, which these people are worthless. He came in and lay on the floor and did some things to it with a machine and told me that they had to order the part and it should only be a week or two but I could use it in the meantime. It has been a month and a half and I am still waiting to get it fixed and it is still beating itself to death worse than ever. I called Whirlpool today and got into a screaming match with the customer service department and then the supervisor, to no avail. I told them its beating itself to death. They told me that if anything else breaks on it then they would continue to fix it until it is pretty much no longer repairable. DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS. THEY ARE JUNK!!!

Bought all new, Amana stainless steel appliances oven is 100 degrees less than what you set it on and the dishwasher will not even wash the dishwashing soap off the dishes. I have tried powered, liquid, tablet, it leaves all brands and types all over the dishes. I have had these appliances for 3 months now and I hate them. Dont waste your money! P.s dont even get me started on the cook top.

My washer has pre-set programmed settings for the water level! My clothes barely get wet and the washer stops adding water and starts washing! I bought the washer approximately 4 years ago! It is almost useless! I have to add water by hand and I wash certain items twice! My washer leaks periodically as well. Had repairman come and he told me I had to tell him where it was leaking from to be FIXED. So we couldnt get it to leak while he was here so it was never fixed and still leaks! He also said there is no way to change the pre-set water levels! Thank God my washer is in the garage or my house would have been flooded dozens of times! Jax, Fl D.

They were no help to me at all about reimbursing me anything on both washer and dryer, which were not that old. I had terrible problems with both. Would never buy a front loader again. The company wanted to give me a percentage off of my new dryer (this broke down first) which had cost so much less. I did not think that was fair.

I bought a washing machine from Amana in November and my first service call was in December. They came 3 times and havent fixed it yet and its April 26 and Im waiting for another service call. Why do I have to suffer. I bought a new machine and it hasnt worked. They dont care at all.

I purchased the Amana 25.1 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator in Stainless Steel, Model# ASD2522WRS from Home Depot 15 months ago, in September 2010. Two weeks ago, all my food in my fridge spoiled. I noticed while I was pouring milk in my sons cup, something told me to taste it because it didnt smell fresh even though it had over three weeks until expiration. It tasted like sour cream. I am so glad my child didnt drink that. I almost threw up. Also, I had four-day old ice tray in my freezer that was still liquid, my ice cream softened and all my sons popsicles crumbled to my touch. I had to throw away majority of our food and weve been eating carry outs since. I contacted Amana and they told me the warranty was only good for 12 months. They scheduled for a technician to come to my house for repairs. I was suppose to be priority since I was stuck at home without food. I waited all day for technicians to come and/or call. I even tried to call and couldnt get through since their lines were busy. I left a message and received a return call the next day. Amana gave them the wrong phone number. I wasnt given a quote so I asked the technicians directly for a estimate and they said they were going to charge me $129 just to come to my house + charges. Say what now? That is ridiculous.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator with a bottom freezer four years ago. I have now found out it needs $250 worth of repairs because the computer board has gone out and it was not going into the defrost cycle. As a result the bottom freezer was frosted up and the refrigerator was not working properly. Yes the repairs are cheaper than a new refrigerator, but I am still disappointed. This was not a cheap unit. I have had Amana appliances in the past and was pleased with them which is why I purchased this refrigerator. The model number of my refrigerator is ABB1924WEW1 with a serial number of K11438301.

On November 23, 2011, my 2007 Amana French door, bottom freezer refrigerator model # AFI2538AES began making a loud popping noise, touch pad panel lights flashing, and cooling stopped. The popping noise was from the ice maker flap opening and closing. The HV board needs replaced, Whirlpool Manufacturer #12920710. I contacted Amana to order the part. The service rep said it is on backorder until February because they have been pulled from the shelf and are being revamped. When I asked if the part would be covered by Amana, since a part needing revamped was essentially defective, I was told no. Requested to speak with supervisor, who states she didnt know where I had heard that the part is being revamped but occasionally, they have difficulty finding manufacturers to produce parts and was certain this was the circumstance. I was told there were no other complaints like mine documented. Amazingly, however, the supervisor was able to locate the backordered part, which the service rep, the parts department and two independent repair shops were unable to find. I expressed my concern that the part found, only three in stock, may be leftover from the stock requiring revamping, rather from the previous manufacturer and not of the same quality of the part which may be produced and available in February. I suggested they reimburse for the part. They declined. I suggested they reimburse should the replacement part need replaced. They declined. I thought of more suggestions but didnt feel they were appropriate to express. Whirlpool/Maytag/Amana should recall the bottom freezer refrigerators with the HV board #12920710 due to defective or faulty part or incompatibility with these refrigerator models.

Really like my new Amana High-Efficiency Modulating Variable Speed Gas Furnace (97% efficient). With fan in "on" position, it quietly circulates the air from the basement and throughout the house. I noticed the air conditioner does not kick in as often and the temperature is more consistent. No comparison to the old mid-efficiency furnace that was replaced, Amana is much better made and will reduce our Natural Gas costs.

I bought the set at Menards April 2016. The washer is absolutely awful. It never gets the clothes clean, never! It never has enough water in it no matter what setting I have it on no matter how big or small the load. You cant leave the lid open for a pre soak or it resets itself. Ive tried all the recommended steps Amana added to the instructions. Im so disappointed. I will never buy an Amana or Maytag product again. Yesterday I went to take clothes out of the dryer and I havent had an issue with the dryer until I pulled the door open and the handle on the dryer broke.I felt when I was making this purchase that Amana was a trusted brand. So I didnt listen to my feelings and I bought this product anyway. Money dont come easy for me so Im stuck using this monster that dont get whites, white and wont fill with water according to my load. All the complaints on this website are true. I wished I had of looked first. Dont buy this set people. Model # NTW4605EW0. Youll be wasting your money and frustrated like my family. Youll know us by the dingy whites.

I bought an Amana gas dryer less than a year ago, the paint on the inside started peeling off and messing up our clothes. So I get a hold of customer service and they tell me it dont cover anything after 30 days!!! I purchased this fridge 9/2010, and the compressor is already shot. I see from other complaints that compressors have been a problem, but Amana Whirlpool has done nothing to help out customers (unless they agreed to the extortion of the extended warranty). I guess Amana Whirlpool is only for people who can afford to buy major appliances every year or pay huge repair bills as soon as the product is out of warranty, or pay for protection (does this remind anyone else of bribing cops to do their job?). My previous fridge was an Amana. my next will not be.Ive lost work time, food, and money. Its odd when the automated recording asks if youve had the product for longer than 12 months, and then asks if you purchased the extended warrant. And you said yes to the first and no to the second, why dont they just disconnect you? I am a renter. The apartment space came with a basic Amana gas range. I experienced large flare ups. Come to find out the previous tenant tried to clean by lifting the top - like every other stove in the world and broke the fittings causing a gas leak. There were no instructions available to indicate that this stove cannot be cleaned, and the very act of lifting the top, which is not restricted in any way, breaks the tubing that houses the gas. How are people supposed to stay safe with this stove? It will be repaired, what about the next tenant? There were several flare ups, almost explosions. The repairman said we were lucky.

We bought an Amana refrigerator #ABD2533DEB in Dec 2004. We have had it for 7 years. Its just 2 adults in our house, so the fridge is like new. We just paid $95 to find out the compressor is shot. The cost to repair will be $800, $300 for the compressor and $500 labor. We were told that the compressor that failed had been made in China and that there have been many issues with these compressors! We were assured that all new after market compressors are now made in Korea with far fewer issues. We lost everything in the freezer and most of the fresh food in the fridge. Amana & Maytag need to do a much better job standing behind their products! Based on what Ive read, we will never buy another Amana! We will also advise any friend looking to buy a new appliance.

I bought a Amana washer and paid over 400.00 dollars for it brand new in the box. It last 1 year before the door that automatically latches the door on top broke and on the front of the control panel its flashing and says door latch. Its going to cost me 90.00 for a new lock. If thats the problem - if not, they said its the circuit board. It cost 230.00. I will never buy another appliances under this name.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH AMANA AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM!!! I have owned Amana central air conditioning systems in a number of homes, and always thought they were of the highest quality. In fact, I installed a central system at our summer beach house, which operated reliably and without any problems whatsoever in a high salt-air, highly corrosive environment, and it served us well for more than a decade. As a result, when we were building our new house in 2009-10, I specified five Amana systems for our 7500 square foot home. WHAT A MISTAKE! This summer, we have learned that three of the five evaporator coils are leaking, and further learned that the HVAC subcontractor NEVER REGISTERED the warranty with Amana. Simple fix, right? Just call the Customer Service department and explain the problem. No... the Amana organization has totally ignored us, in what may be the poster child for horrible customer service.They have stonewalled us, and have not replied to phone calls and emails. Their local distributor has refused to give us the name of their local rep in an effort to find someone who cares about our problem. No help, no solution. I have to fix the problem and pay for what should have been warranted repairs out of my own pocket, because the cost of the service calls coupled of an electricity bill that has skyrocketed while trying to get help from Amana has me with no choice but to fix it myself. If you buy an Amana air conditioning system and need factory support, forget it. You are on your own, and they will not stand by their products!!!

Finally decided to replace freezer door gasket as its cracked; dug through my receipts and was surprised that we purchased it new, in 1992. Around the time that free trade started, so ordered it from USA through Buffalo, delivered to my front door and uncrated. I dont think there are too many appliances that run 28 years and going strong without a problem. Replacing the gasket is an easy fix.

One they do not stand behind their products. I have been delivered an Amana washer that the sensing device does not work in it. Did not even agitate to wash the clothes and it is actually had to be turned off and turn back on to get the water out to get my clothes out. I called the company and they do not stand behind their products at all and they dont care that it will be another 4 weeks before I get another washer and I certainly will never want another Amana washer.

It is an electric 4 burner glass or ceramic top model with a range. One of the burners has 2 settings to match the size of the pan or pot being used. The control settings can be confusing on both the stove top or the oven.

My Amana ABBB2222FEW refrigerator is five and a half years old. Great refrigerator, till this weekend when the compressor quit - it will cost over $700.00 to repair and I was informed that the repairman couldnt guarantee the board would not conk out so I opt out of fixing it. It has been over 2 months now that I have went without my washer. It isnt even a year old yet. First time I called Amana it was a runaround. The person I talked to was very rude, didnt even send over my information to IAM Appliance in Piqua, Ohio. So I had taken the day off work to wait for someone. When they didnt show, I called IAM and asked why no one showed. They said they didnt have any information that they were supposed to be out. So I called back to Amana and the guy I talked to was very rude and said, Looks like it wasnt sent over. So he told me I had to call another place, that he couldnt call them, I had to. So I called and no answer so I called back to Amana and they again was very rude. So finally they send my information over to IAM appliance. A week later, on Tuesday a tech came out. He looked at my washer after I had already explained what was wrong, it was the lid lock not locking, it would fill and that was it. So the next Tuesday, he came out and ordered a lid lock, the board, and another part all the parts worked but the lid lock. So here is to another week of waiting. Came out again that following Tuesday that lid lock didnt work. Each time he came out something didnt work. Then the board didnt work the new one he had replaced. This happened for over a month. So I called corporate. Talked to a lady last Monday. She said she would send me a new washer. Got my new washer today. They told me I was getting a Whirlpool but I go another Amana same model number. They took the old washer today and this washer doesnt work, it doesnt wash clothes. It fills the drum doesnt wash clothes or spin, and the lid lock works but when finished the clothes are dripping wet. So this is another lost. I will not recommended Amana or Whirlpool to anyone. Since they have been around for a while now I figured they would be a great appliance. Guess not. So now Im out of a washer and here goes to washing my clothes in the tub again!! Very unhappy!! DO NOT BUY AMANA.

Im generally pleased with my Amana products. However, Ive had an Amana refrigerator for a number of years and the crossbar which supports the vegetable crispers is constantly breaking. Ive recently replaced it for the fourth or fifth time, at a cost of approximately $70. a clip. It just broke again six months since I last replaced it! My Amana side by side had continual problems with the gaskets wearing out, cracking, and failing. I had to replace them 3 times in 18 years. The ice maker never really worked successfully. Would have replaced it with a bottom freezer if I had the $$.

It had problems to begin with ie: pushing the start button had to push 13 times. They kept fixing it, finally changing the computer part. Had 5 service calls. Also kept stopping mid-wash cycle. BOTTOM LINE: DONT GET THIS DISHWASHER!!

I purchased Amana fridge (model AFD2535DEQ) on 12-4-2008. Excellent looks, cooling, and energy conservation. Loved the bottom freezer. On December 2011, the fridge’s cooling lost efficiency. The repair tech says top compressor is not working. The cost to repair is half the cost of the fridge. To date the top fridge is keeping at 39 degrees while set on coldest setting. Freezer works fine. For the forty years of my marriage I have purchased and used Maytag and Amana products. Never again! A refrigerator that costs over a thousand dollars and lasts only three years is not a good investment. As a side note, my daughter had the same problem with her Amana at only five years old. She replaced with Kenmore.

In July or 2015 I purchased a side by side ref from a small dealership. The ref was delivered 1st part of Aug. Called dealer a few days later stating ref was not working properly - wasnt making enough ice and cubes were small. Dealer came out and adjusted ice maker. Called back few days later requesting my money back. Still having issues with ice maker and ref was sweating and dripping moisture on panel between ref and freezer. He came out again said a cardboard panel had to be replaced in back of ref. Also stated getting my money back was not an option as he was not going to be stuck with a used ref.When he returned with cardboard panel he found out that they had sent wrong replacement part. After that he would no longer come out and refused to take my calls. So I began calling Amana direct. I first asked for my money back since the ref was less than 30 days old when I started having trouble. I was told that my warranty only covered repair or replacement. They arranged for a repairman to come out.In Sept. the ref was deemed unrepairable and a replacement was ordered and arrived Oct. 8. Within a week or so I was again calling Amana. This ref was not cooling properly. Ice was forming on inside wall of freezer and ref compartment was too warm. To keep this from going on forever let me say 2 repair companies and at least 8 repair trips later this 4 month old ref is still not working. One person from Amana suggested that I just keep my food in another ref. All the other representatives sympathized with me and called to schedule a repair appt. All I can say is that this ref is poorly designed and Amana Makes JUNK. I will never buy another Amana product and I am sorry I paid cash for this one.

I purchased an Amana Washer and Dryer 4 months ago and just now moving into my house. I connected it it worked well on first wash. Now it wont spin, drain, had to unplug because it stopped in middle of wash. The sensor lights wont come on just to have a washer full of wet clothes. We tried to turn on now washer wont work. We wasted 800.00 on this set just to have to go somewhere else and purchase another set. This is ridiculous and upsetting. I am going public with our local news station for selling this mess. It was purchased at Handy TV Appliance in Centerpoint Al ( Birmingham).

The interior paint is peeling off in big flakes now. Before they were small, but a large part of the paint on the bottom of the oven is gone. I have contacted Maytag Corp. and was told to call a service person. From what I have seen online, this is an inherent problem with this product and the company should issue a recall and make an effort to fix it at no expense to the owner. The microwave still operates perfectly, but the fear of fire or paint in food prevents me from using it.

Purchased a brand new PTAC for my apartment. Unit was professionally installed and vibrates so bad it rattles the grates inside the window the unit is mounted under. The unit is less the 30 days old and Amana claims I will have to pay for the diagnostics and labor to fix or replace the unit. Their claim is the unit cannot be returned after it is installed. The warranty is worthless if you get a defective unit, and you will be paying something to have it repaired when it breaks or if it even works correctly after installed.

I love my old Amana side by side, bought in 11/2001. But what I cant find in the new ones is the milk keeper with the door. That is the best part of the refrigerator. If I cant find that and after reading these reviews I will find a different brand.

I am very unhappy to write this because I thought Amana product is good brand and product since very long time but I was wrong. Its total garbage and wastage of money, I bought the combo dryer and washer from Leons on boxing day. We purchased a basic model Amana refrigerator A9RXNMFWB01 in June 2010, delivered in July 2010. The refrigerator was making a lot of noise the past few months. We didnt realize the fan was not working properly. When the fan quit, the food was still frozen in the top freezer. But the refrigerator compartment would not go below 50 degrees. I called for the Amana technician. A & E couldnt make it over until the following week, so we called a local repairman. $182 later, new fan, the refrigerator is fixed. Its only 15 months old! Our old Amana is still running since 1997. We have never had troubles with a refrigerator in our 35 years of buying appliances. Now I see on reviews of compressors going bad. Appliances are not made well and we will be lucky to get 8 years out of this Amana with cheap parts. There go our landfills. What can we buy that wont cost hundreds to fix? We have never had to buy extended warranty. This is a money maker for Amana (Maytag, Whirlpool). It’s a lesson learned. I’m very dissatisfied. I feel we deserve to be compensated for this breakdown, especially since it acted up during the 1st year of warranty. We shall see if Amana can make it right.

My dryer of 7 years broke down so I purchased another from a different store different brand (new). The purchased was made the end of October. This dryer was terrible at drying my clothes. It took forever for one load to dry. Finally it started taking more time. Finally it went out. It had a warranty but couldnt get the company the warranty was with to fix it so the furniture store I made the purchase with sent me a new one and this new dryer isnt any good either. It is Amana Washer & Dryer that came with my house. Does very good job and I can choose water level for small loads. (Newer models do not allow in Calif.) It has second rinse option and dryer works great. Do not want front load washer or fancy model. This is really good for money paid.

Our three year old Amana bottom freezer fridge did not cool the upper fridge. After checking coils, etc. called a repairman who took about 5 minutes to diagnose the problem: control board failure. $200+ (Canadian) for the part, $135 service call, plus tax. Just under $400. Ive suggested to Amana/Whirlpool that they consider building a better product. Repair guy sees it often. He carries the boards in his van. He did say that Whirlpool brands are getting worse, but couldnt say who was getting better. Sad and annoying and just bad business by a company that could do better, but probably wont.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator on 3/22/2010, model # ABB2222FEB3, serial #K00561248. Purchase price of the unit is $1,225.10. Less than two years later, 3/6/2012, the circuit board that monitors when to defrost the cooling system failed. Service call price is $68, labor and replacement parts $432, tax $35. Total repair bill is $530. I called Amana customer service dept to learn while they stand behind their product, they will not pay for repair. So products shoddy workmanship, lack of quality control are the customers problem. Never buy another Amana product in this lifetime.

The fridge has a bottom freezer, 25 cu. ft. of capacity and fits in the opening. We have owned it for 14 year. The one we had before was an Amana 21 cu. ft. which we owned for 18 years but we had to leave at our other house. Neither one has ever had any problems.

I called another service company - more than the first. I sought Amana online and called toll free. They confirmed there is nothing they can do due to past 1 year warranty. I called my friend who bought the same fridge; she had the same problem and invested much money into fridge, which never worked correctly. I then found many customers online having the same problem at 4 years; compressor quits! This should not be with a new fridge. I called the Amana toll free number back and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke with Sherri, ID# **. After putting me on hold, she advised she would sell me an extended warranty for $392.39 to fix the freezer! This should not be; I told her I should pursue a class action suit as many customers have had the same complaint.

I bought an Amana fridge with our tax money just over a year ago. Its was a hard decision to spend over $1,000 on a fridge, but here we are just over a year later and the crisper drawer has crumbled and disintegrated on the slider edge. Bad design and bad choice of materials. Amana, of course, says the drawer is not covered under any warranty. They want well over $100 for a new drawer. That’s 10% of the original price. To hell with Amana. I won’t make that mistake again. Pass the word: Don’t buy Amana! I’m stacking fruit/veggies on top of the bottom drawer for now. I’m searching the web in vain to find a cheaper drawer. I’m really, really pissed off!

I had an Amana washer for 3 years and it broken down 4 times. I got a Sears warranty on it in June and its December now and its broken again. My clothes are locked in and I had the control panel replaced 3 times. I was told that this was a great washer, but I have been having a great problem with it. It broken down after buying it a month. I got it repaired 4 times and I think I will sell it because its not any good. Dont waste your money and time with this product. I feel I have been robbed by the company because of this defective product.

My wife and I bought this Amana washing machine & dryer as a set from Best Buy in Green Bay, Wisconsin, little over two years ago as a Christmas present from me & Linda, to myself & Linda. Just last week (2/9/2016), the wife was doing some laundry. When she closed the door it wouldnt lock, so the machine couldnt start its washing cycle. She asked me to come down. I looked at it, unplugged it, and waited a few minutes, thinking that it would reset itself. I plugged it back in and had the same issue. I turned the dial and there was a huge light, followed by the tell-tale noise of electrical components arching. Then there was a flash of light (from the back of the control panel, followed by a cute little mushroom cloud). I called Best Buy and informed them of what had happened. They said that there wasnt much they could do then transferred me to the customer service manager. She gave me the customer service number to Amana. Upon calling them, I had the feeling like I was bothering them (cold shoulder routine). Like the other complainant stated, Amana has been around for years, figured it was a solid, dependable product. Obviously, it isnt - quantity, not any quality anymore!!! After what seemed like an hour had passed, I finally hung up. Totally disgusted & frustrated with my experience. We both feel like we have been duped. My advice, DO NOT BUY ANY AMANA PRODUCT WHATSOEVER!!! Thanks Amana for nothing. I will not recommend your product to ANYONE!!! Pull your heads out of your **!!! Front left burner is not working properly. Only outside rings of coil are heating up. Took forever to boil but never came to a rolling boil. My pasta was a big pile of mush. Worst stove I have ever owned!

Our new Amana furnace is so quiet and efficient! We love it. We aren't nervous to enter the long winter months. We know we will be warm and comfortable until spring.

I bought it May 26 2017. l have a lot of trouble with it. They came and put a new part in on 28th of Aug 2017 because it was freezing everything. They said that should do it. Now 2 weeks later the same thing freezing everything again. Been trying to get them to take it back. They just keep passing me to someone else. They are garbage and here is the model number ART316TFDW01 so think before you buy this fridge. l bought mine at the brick and they not helping me. lm still trying to get it replaced. We have had our Amana Furnace and air conditioning for about a month. We have not needed the furnace so far, but the air conditioning has been beyond expectations. Coupled with the Ecobee thermostat, the system is much quieter than any HVAC system that we have ever had. The thermostat runs the fan every 15 minutes and the whole house comfortable.

After moving in to a new home and seeing a brand new stove installed, I was excited to get cooking. I noticed that the stove grates were bent from the middle (the grates are long and the front burner and back burner are connected on the same grate). I didnt think this would be an issue because maybe the pans/pots I use would be heavy enough to compress the grates down. I was wrong to think that and the pots/pans will slide when put on the grates because of how they are angled. I have spilled a full pan of oil (luckily not heated to a dangerous temp yet) when the pan was placed squarely in the middle of the burner and it just slid forward and off the stove top.Amana was called to try and get replacements for the brand new appliance but they told us that the bend in the grates is on purpose and they will not be fixing the danger their appliance puts us in. I now can only use the back burners (one of which is very small) or I run the risk of hurting myself with hot falling pots and pans. They are confident this is normal and are fine with the dangers. Do not buy from Amana as they will sell you a dangerous product.

Great space, great seals on the doors. Bottom freezer hold everything I need to be frozen. I have the stainless steel and on the side of refrigerator it is gray so it blends in nicely. Everything about this refrigerator is just great.

I’ve had this dishwasher for over 8 years now and it’s very noisy. Also the interior is getting discoloured. It takes long for a normal cycle to come to a finish. Overall it does the job, but don’t run if youre trying to sleep.

We purchased this machine last year from Coast Wholesale. It washes the clothes fine, however it makes a horrible noise. We were told by a company employee that this was normal. Well, I am 76 years old and started out with wringer washers and over the years have purchased many machines, never have I owned anything like this. I have heard quieter cement mixers. I dont expect anything to be done about this, however I just had to VENT my displeasure with the product. I WOULD NEVER BUY AN AMANA PRODUCT AGAIN.

We purchased this washer on 11/11/10 because my washer finally let go after 18 years of wonderful service. I have had A&E at my house 6 times to fix this washer the main problem was it was chewing up and shredding my clothes and leaking then the seal around the door would come off that has been replaced multiple times. The mother board and transmission also have been replaced. Now 15 months after I purchased this machine and 6 visits later, it has happened again. The machine has ruined my daughter’s brand new coat along with my postal uniform. I have finally become angry so I call up my extended warranty (thought it was a good idea to get an extra 4 years of coverage just in case). The woman I spoke to was very nice and actually tried to get me a brand new washer but because I only used the extended warranty once, I have to give them another chance to fix it before she can do that. So she scheduled me an appointment with electronic services. The gentleman calls me and asked me what was going on with the washer. I give him all the details and he tells me it is an ongoing problem with that model and they made a replacement part for the one that has been broken so he went and ordered it. The next morning, he called me just a surprised as I am to tell me that the warranty department has denied the claim. Wow! So I call back Home Depot warranty dept and tell her what is happening now. So as of right now, it’s a waiting game. She is calling corporate to see what they can do for me. So hopefully Home Depot does the right thing and stands by their sale since Amana was nothing but nasty to me and very unhelpful through this whole thing. My next step is contacting an attorney and finding other who has received the same outcome because then we can go after Amana full force.
