I have been using this dishwasher for about 2 months. My last 2 were the more expensive stainless steel tub type...they were 4x the price and lasted less than 3 yrs each, so we decided to go with a less expensive dishwasher. I am happy with the decision so far. The soap works just fine in this one, but in my last one I had to alter the soap and add borax...this cleans with the regular stuff quite well.

Its a good machine. Competitively priced. Good water conservation implemented. It is attractively designed with fool-proof control settings... puts operator in drivers seat for a positive outcome...When paired with Amanas matching dryer, it is a bargain purchase.

Since the purchase of the Amana fridge, installed 4/2014 has been repaired 3 times and now the icemaker has failed again. Called to schedule a repair and was told that the policy has been cancelled for non-payment. The extended warranty and unit are paid in full at the time of purchase! Of all the appliances Ive owned in the last 45 years, this is undoubtedly the worst of the bunch. Am I required to go through the hassle of making a copy and sending it to prove the warranty is still in force? No! What a runaround! DO NOT PURCHASE AMANA PRODUCTS! Unless you want a lemon and have to make your own ice. To date, the water pump and icemaker has been replaced. 1st replacement of the icemaker was put in wrong and had to have service tech come back to fix that issue.

I purchased a washer machine a year ago. I even got the extended warranty on it; which doesnt run out until 2018. Ever since I have had this washer there has been problem after problem. I have even had new parts such as the transmission put on there, but the washing machine is still messed up. I have had to go to the laundromat to wash clothes and to my sons house. That should not be when I have a washer at home. I do not recommend this company to anyone. If I could return it I would but unfortunately my 30 days are long over. Im stuck with a washer that stays broke more than it stays working. Thank you for the worthless merchandise.

Ice maker has had to be repaired twice. Now we just dont use it. Food keeps falling down behind shelves in the gap behind the shelves. Door does not stay open wide enough.

I purchased a stove/oven a few years ago. I hardly ever use it and the issue is the grates on top of the burner that you place your pots/pans on melted horrible. IT IS A STOVE...Flame comes out of the burner ..You cook on it..Seriously..it melts the burner???? The entire finish burnt off the burners. I would never buy another product from them..A stove top that melts. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Amana washing machine model NTW465OYQ. We bought this Amana washing machine after losing our shore house in hurricane Sandy. It is only 2 years old and is rarely used since it is in a vacation home. The machine already needs a new control board since the cycles do not advance. It will wash over and over forever and never advance to rinse or spin, even when the dial is turned manually. Between the repair call and the cost for the new control panel, the total to fix it is more than we paid for it. The customer service representatives stated it doesnt matter that you rarely use it, if it is over 2 years old there is nothing we can do for you. Will NEVER buy an Amana again!!

Purchased fridge about 2 weeks ago. My main issue is that it is very noisy. The compressor and fan are too noisy. For the price I paid I expected a quiet fridge. If it wasnt such a pain to take it back (I brought it home myself) I would return it. I am going to contact Amana and go from there. I am very disappointed.

I purchased a refrigerator in 2008, Amana. In 2013 the refrigerator failed and stopped working. I called and of course the warranty is no longer valid. In order to fix the 5 year old refrigerator I had to purchase another warranty for 347.00. So here we are 2 years later and again the refrigerator is not working, so I called them and they cant help me - only if I buy another warranty for now 414.00. These people are scam artist and I think we all should start a class action suit against Amana. They are crooks.

We bought the most recommended fridge (Consumer Reports) the Amana Model AFF2534FEW 1 (or maybe 11... the Amana people cant quite figure out what the model number is... check it out). After very little use the fridge stopped working. Diagnosis... bad thermostat... blocking the coils. Thermostat replaced. A year later (and more ruined food) same problem... Again the thermostat was replaced. And guess what... it happened again. Third time... dont even bother asking the Amana group for help. They cannot even figure out the correct model number and they are not interested in helping in any way. This product and the company are not worthy of your hard earned money. I will NEVER purchase Amana again.

We purchased an Amana ref from our local appliance store in the Renton Highlands, a model A9RXNGFYW. In 2011, during its warranty, we called store about the overheating problem. Told that needs to be addressed to the Amana people. Called them. They say this is normal operations. Now I am talking about heat that burns when you touch anyplace around the freezer seal & side of fridge. Just want to hear if anyone else has this problem. Thank you.

It is too cramped, much of the size is on the outside, not the inside. The shelves are inadequate and the inner construction of both shelves and drawers is flimsy. The real problem is my better half has looked at alternatives and they are no better. I could best call it all flash and no fire.

After moving in to a new home and seeing a brand new stove installed, I was excited to get cooking. I noticed that the stove grates were bent from the middle (the grates are long and the front burner and back burner are connected on the same grate). I didnt think this would be an issue because maybe the pans/pots I use would be heavy enough to compress the grates down. I was wrong to think that and the pots/pans will slide when put on the grates because of how they are angled. I have spilled a full pan of oil (luckily not heated to a dangerous temp yet) when the pan was placed squarely in the middle of the burner and it just slid forward and off the stove top.Amana was called to try and get replacements for the brand new appliance but they told us that the bend in the grates is on purpose and they will not be fixing the danger their appliance puts us in. I now can only use the back burners (one of which is very small) or I run the risk of hurting myself with hot falling pots and pans. They are confident this is normal and are fine with the dangers. Do not buy from Amana as they will sell you a dangerous product.

This refrigerator has been a good choice for us. We love the freezer being on the bottom. So much room on the top and easy to get anything out of the freezer. It has the one door, not the split two.

So far, we are very pleased with our new furnace, air conditioner and air cleaning system. The installation process went very smoothly and we are impressed with the overall system's operations. We are especially pleased with how quiet it is and have already noticed that our home is less dusty. The air cleaner also did a great job of keeping the smoke our of our home during the nearby fires in the northwest of the United States.

My elderly parents purchased a new clothes washer in January and now in May it has flooded their laundry room. Because it is under warranty their plumber said they had to call manufacturer. Amana said it would be 4 days before they could get anyone out and it is still leaking water and my mom uses a walker. Ive called emailed and have been on hold for more than 1/2 hour - no one cares.

Amana front load washer - This machine is 4 years old and has broken down three times due to code ND for not draining. I called tech, and $250 later and new drain pump, it worked for about 6 months. Interface board went out and I paid $200 for the part, which I put in myself. It worked okay for 1 year. Another drain pump is out and I paid $125 for the part. Eight months later, another interface board went out. It is time to junk this new washer and buy another brand. I could have paid for another machine for what it cost me to keep it running. These machines are junk.

We bought an Amana Refrigerator in May 2005. It is now 6 1/2 years old and began making noises recently It died last night and the repair will be about $800 or more. This fridge was working fine until recently. Over the past two years my parents and my wifes parents both bought this same model as they liked ours. Hopefully theirs wont die as well. We called a repairman who said that, that year (2005), there were problems with the compressors.From reading other complaints it seems that it is not limited to that year. From researching different refrigerators last night, it appears that the Amana, Maytag and Whirlpool are all exactly the same refrigerator with just a different nameplate on them. Whirlpool bought Maytag in 2006 and Maytag had already bought Amana prior to that. So much for Amish people in Iowa making a decent appliance. We are disappointed in Amana. We had my grandmothers refrigerator when I was in high school. It must have been 35 years old and ran fine.

Amana dryer, less than 2 years old, doesnt heat anymore. About a $300 repair for a $600 product. Do you remember your parents replacing appliances as often as we have to? I dont. Garbage in and here is your garbage out Amana/Whirlpool. At first when I called, I was told they dont even make the model even after I repeated several times off their own sticker. Then all of a sudden, they do make it once I mentioned that Home Depot may be selling knockoffs of their products. All of a sudden, oh yes, here it is. What a joke. They keep telling me that they are all consumers too and understand my frustration. They arent willing to do anything about it though. In December of 2003, I purchased a drop-in Amana range model #ACS4250. The oven recently abruptly stopped heating. The repairman informs me that the part needed to repair the oven (electronic control #77001240) has been discontinued.Who does that? Who discontinues parts? I called Amana and they helped me immensely. They connected me with the sales department. As if I would be fool enough to buy another product from a company who discontinues a small part that is vital to the operation of one of their major appliances in order to force a customer to replace that appliance. I dont think so.I am an 81-year-old woman who takes extraordinary care of my appliances. This range looks as though it should be on the showroom floor and now it’s junk. The only help I got from Amana was an offer to sell me a new range or a suggestion to call around and try to find someone else who might have that part lying around.By the way, I spent most of the afternoon on the telephone doing exactly that – all to no avail. That part cannot be found. Amana should be ashamed. One of the persons I talked to actually had the nerve to tell me that I needed to understand that this is The wave of the future. This is technology.I hung up.My new range will be anything but an Amana – Maytag, Whirlpool – or anything connected to them. They are a disgrace.

I bought a washer/dryer set. I started to wash a small load of cloths and the drum was banging around. Ok... so I thought the clothes were off center and NOPE they were not! The drum has a lot of play and IS THE WORSE WASHER EVER!!!

I purchased an Amana refrigerator 3 years ago and so soon the compressor went out. I had a 4-year warrant from Home Depot. Some guy, he was not with Home Depot but from an appliance repair store, they hired came out and he was very rude. I would ask him a question about the freon and he would shrug his shoulders. I think this was because he is white and Im Spanish. Lately, since the apartments next door have been empty for a year, roaches have come to my home from there. Because I keep up on roach control, we did not have them before. He found two roaches on the floor and put down we were infested, which we are not. Now Home Depot says they will not fix it. But another repair person says that’s absurd. Even if you have them roaches, they can not get in the compressor.I blame Amana for making cheap refrigerators. Did you know they put cardboard to cover the back of the refrigerator? And I blame Home Depot for not delivering what they agreed. We are going to have to put another tent over our house to get rid of the roaches.

Amana Front Loading Washing machine Model NFW7200TW suddenly stopped filling. Received an error code of tE indicating an issue with the Thermistor. Began checking wiring and discovered several severed wires at the control panel. Contacted Amana Customer Service and was advised that they would send someone out but because the FL was no longer under warranty, I would be responsible for costs. I advised Amana rep that I was more concerned with a potential fire hazard and that was putting them on notice of the issue. The Rep basically said that they had no reports like this and that there were no recalls and nothing they would do. So anyone with this washing machine, beware!

I purchased the dryer and it STINKS! They will come out to look at it, but saying there could be an $88 charge. Im already LESS than impressed with Amana and now they want to charge me MORE money. This is a horrible experience. I would recommend everyone looking to buy elsewhere as Amana does not stand behind their products and their products are crap.

My wife and I bought this Amana washing machine & dryer as a set from Best Buy in Green Bay, Wisconsin, little over two years ago as a Christmas present from me & Linda, to myself & Linda. Just last week (2/9/2016), the wife was doing some laundry. When she closed the door it wouldnt lock, so the machine couldnt start its washing cycle. She asked me to come down. I looked at it, unplugged it, and waited a few minutes, thinking that it would reset itself. I plugged it back in and had the same issue. I turned the dial and there was a huge light, followed by the tell-tale noise of electrical components arching. Then there was a flash of light (from the back of the control panel, followed by a cute little mushroom cloud). I called Best Buy and informed them of what had happened. They said that there wasnt much they could do then transferred me to the customer service manager. She gave me the customer service number to Amana. Upon calling them, I had the feeling like I was bothering them (cold shoulder routine). Like the other complainant stated, Amana has been around for years, figured it was a solid, dependable product. Obviously, it isnt - quantity, not any quality anymore!!! After what seemed like an hour had passed, I finally hung up. Totally disgusted & frustrated with my experience. We both feel like we have been duped. My advice, DO NOT BUY ANY AMANA PRODUCT WHATSOEVER!!! Thanks Amana for nothing. I will not recommend your product to ANYONE!!! Pull your heads out of your **!!! We are a single couple with few loads to run. After 3 years our Amana front load washer circuit board went out. It was replaced with a three hundred dollar new one. 3 years after the replacement was installed, the replacement went haywire. This is a circuit board part that everyone says is no longer available because the manufacturer doesnt want to replace anymore.So, long story short: Original cost of new Amana front load originally: $560. Cost of first replacement circuit board $385. (Replacement part lasted 2 years). New cost to replace our Amana washer $600. New cost to haul off Amana washer $50. Wow! My total $1,595. It used to be that Amana was a great name. Ill never buy from them again.

Would not fix my oven less than a year old with purchased warranty for their faulty mother board. Used once and went out. Repairs are as much as the oven cost.Gave no reason why or what the warranty covers. If not the mother board, elements???? How cheap. I can change those myself.

An Amana furnace and air conditioner were purchased in Dec 2013 after my 21 year old furnace died. The Amana furnace first broke down and stopped cycling Feb 2014. The air conditioner first broke down and blew warm air in June 2015. Since the first breakdowns the air conditioner broke again in June 2015, it was making a leaking sound. Air conditioner broke again in June 2016, blowing warm air. Furnace broke twice Jan 2017, no heat. Air conditioner broke again May 2017, blowing warm air. Furnace broke again Jan 2018. And lastly, the air conditioner broke again July 2019 and I am currently waiting for a new evaporator coil. Evaporator coils are not covered under warranty so nearly $800 out of pocket. Wish I had more time in Dec 2013 to research furnace and air conditioners but when it is 20 below zero outside all I wanted at the time was heat!

This refrigerator has been really a good one since 1993. The only complaint is that now it is falling apart. The door handle has broken apart as have some of the cabinetry inside.

I havent even had this Amana washer one year. It quit working. I guess when you buy a product that is lower priced than the rest you think itll be short lived, but 1 year! Doesnt start, nothing. Piece of crap. It never got the clothes as clean as other machines Ive had. Never again Amana! I bought it a Menards in Minnesota.

My washer has given me multiple problems within the first year! It always gets stuck on rinse, which raises my water bill. I have four children and one week before school, my washer stopped working. The technician was supposed to come between one to five. I got home and one of my neighbor said the tech was here at 12:00. He didnt even come back. They were supposed to then come the next day - no show, no call! They have given me nothing but rudeness. Do not buy from this company.

Beware the Amana company. I dont like to give bad reviews to companies but the time has come. Our church bought a new side by side Amana refrigerator/freezer in August. It worked until the middle of December and then it started warming up. It was turned up to the coldest settings and still continued to not do its job. Frozen foods are cold but not frozen. January 3rd I called Amana and a technician came out on the 14th. He said, It needs fixed but I dont have to tools to do it.About 10 days later another tech came out and said, It needs a new part but I dont have one with me. The next week he came and replaced the part but it still didnt work. I called Amana again and told them since its still under warranty, we want a new appliance. I was told they dont do that unless a technician comes 2 times and he has to say it doesnt work. We had 3 visits. She said she would send out their top technician because he would know what is going on. Apparently the others didnt. He was supposed to come on Thursday but they called and canceled because they had scheduled the wrong technician. Rescheduled for today, Monday February 25 but cancelled because their truck broke down. We are finding it very inconvenient to have an appliance that hasnt worked for over 2 months, wouldnt you? Now scheduled for Friday. We will see. The only help I got was when I went to the manager of Home Depot about it and he got after them about it but still far from resolved. I imagine that Amana has some good appliances and we got a lemon. The appliances are questionable but the company is terrible to deal with.

We have only had this Heat Pump/Air conditioner for about two weeks--so far so good. It is easy to operate and does the job as expected. Bell Air Conditioning was very easy to work with and did an excellent job. We are pleased, so far.

We purchased an Amana side-by-side refrigerator-freezer seven years ago with an integrated water and ice dispenser. Several months ago, I woke up at night to the sound of running water. When I reached the kitchen, I saw that the appliances LCD had burned out and water was flowing from the water dispenser. A design defect allows the switch that controls the water to open when the control panel fails. Our home has inch hardwood floors in the kitchen and adjoining living room and dining room. Unfortunately, the floor boards with the standing water bowed; Where the water had gathered in the dining room, the water seeped into the boards and required replacement. The entire floor had to be refinished, stained, and sealed.

Purchased an Amana top loading washer and two days the door lock light was flashing and the unit was buzzing. The washer smelled like wires were overheating. 5 service appointments later the unit was replaced by Amana. Less than a week later the problem I had with the first unit is now happening with the New replaced model. Amana stated that they have no recalls or complaints on this model NTW4605EW0.

My dryer of 7 years broke down so I purchased another from a different store different brand (new). The purchased was made the end of October. This dryer was terrible at drying my clothes. It took forever for one load to dry. Finally it started taking more time. Finally it went out. It had a warranty but couldnt get the company the warranty was with to fix it so the furniture store I made the purchase with sent me a new one and this new dryer isnt any good either. I bought it May 26 2017. l have a lot of trouble with it. They came and put a new part in on 28th of Aug 2017 because it was freezing everything. They said that should do it. Now 2 weeks later the same thing freezing everything again. Been trying to get them to take it back. They just keep passing me to someone else. So if you are looking to purchase a fridge dont buy a Amana. They are garbage and here is the model number ART316TFDW01 so think before you buy this fridge. l bought mine at the brick and they not helping me. lm still trying to get it replaced. Amana (made by Whirlpool) washing machine broke just after 1 year warranty had elapsed. Trying to get thru to extended warranty people with Whirlpool took 45 minutes on hold, then was told they could be there tomorrow. When local repair company (Appliance Hospital) called, they could not be out for 3 weeks. NO communication between the 2 companies. Worthless washing machine, worthless warranty, worthless company overall. I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool appliance.

Our Amana refrigerator ART316TFDW serial # VS62254299 purchased in 2016 failed in late 2019. The cost of parts to replace the evaporator and compressor is C$816.13 + labour + tax. The original unit cost was about C$725 + tax. We contacted Amana Canada about this. They said that since we dont have an extended warranty, there is nothing that they are willing to do. They apparently arent bothered by the fact that their product did not even last four years. That is not a good product and that is not good service. We will be buying another fridge, but can you guess whether it will be from Amana/Whirlpool Corporation?

I purchased an Amana refrigerator with bottom freezer about 4 years ago. Recently noticed water leaking from under the freezer onto the laminate floor. Upon further investigation noticed ice build up on the floor of the freezer. The lower basket would scrape on the ice as the door basket was pulled out. Checked out the problem on the internet and noticed a number of similar complaints. At that point assumed maybe there was a recall for a certain part causing the problem. Called the store where I purchased the appliance and a repairman was out within a day. He was knowledgeable and knew what the problem was. It appears to be fairly common. The replacement part has been fixed to remedy the problem. Because this is what I was told, I inquired about a possible recall. I was told that the part had been modified since I purchased my refrigerator. If the part has been changed or modified then it seems Amana is aware of the problem. The part is a drain tube. The cost to me including labor was almost $200.00. I felt that Amana should cover the cost as there are a number of complaints about this issue. The serviceman suggested I call Amana so I did. Even though the representatives were nice and professional they offered no resolution or satisfaction to my complaint. I spoke with a supervisor too. I fully explained my reason for calling and my dissatisfaction with Amana but really felt that they could care less. I stated that they would lose me as a customer if they could not stand behind their product especially knowing this was not a new problem. I guess customer satisfaction doesnt count for much today. Too bad but that is the last Amana product I will buy.

I bought washer dryer fridge combo from Home Depot and 16 months later, the compressor goes out in my frig. and needs $900 repair and lost all my $400 plus in food. Thanks for caring, Amana and Home Depot that you shot our holiday. We have no more money to fix or replace our food crackers for our holiday. Can we all get together and sue them both? ???? Amana Whirlpool Whirlpool Customer Care Center. The whole 4 MONTH experience to have our fridge replaced has been a joke. We have had 4 service technicians come out in order to decide we need the whole refrigerator replaced. Then it couldnt be shipped out for a whole month. Now it was supposed to be delivered today June 5th 2020 between 1:30-5:30pm. Only to be told that J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. Couldnt deliver it when they scheduled to because the driver ran out of hours, not blaming the driver. I blame the company for putting too many on the load so it couldnt be delivered on a 3 day ahead scheduled appointment.It absolutely should not take 4 freaking months to get a refrigerator much less during COVID-19 putting my family in more Danger to have to go to the store more for our needs for a family of 6. Not to mention both my husband and daugthers medications have to be kept cold. THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD WITH A WARRANTY ISSUE. I personally expected better from every company list because we have had issues with each department leading up to not have a working refrigerator for 4 months.. I just had to replace the controller board in my Amana French Door Refrigerator, which is just 2 1/2 years old. The cost was $300. I had a Kenmore before this that lasted over 20 years. Im extremely unhappy. I would never buy an Amana product again.

Purchased a microwave on 11/28. Had it installed on 11/29. Does not work. They would not replace. I was told I had to go through their process to order parts. Today is 12/21. Service guy came out and cannot fix. Now I have to wait for their process again for them to replace. This is terrible. Christmas is in 4 days and Ill have been a month without a microwave.

I bought this refrigerator 35 years ago and it has been reliable and hasnt given me any problems to date... The ice cubes still come out (crush or whole). It has a huge freezer capacity. The only thing needing changed is the water filter.

We inherited an Amana refrigerator which was about 10 years old. Per the previous owner, it’s been worked on before since warranty companies refuse to replace an item regardless of repair cost. Our compressor went out. 900+ dollars to repair. I’ve never had a such issues with a refrigerator but I also usually buy Kenmore or Maytag. Also the ice maker doesn’t work regularly but we can’t get that looked at until the compressor issue is resolved. Our last refrigerator, a kenmore, lasted 26 years with no problems.

I bought a house last year that came with new a new Amana washing machine and new Amana dryer (matching set). They are both junk, this is the worst brand you can buy. The washing machine is the worst, my clothes come out dirtier than they were before running the wash. The technology also does not allow you to start running the water before putting the clothes in, which is a design issue and it may contribute to the reason the clothes do not get clean. The other problem, which is huge, it puts holes in new clothes and linens, without fail. All of my stuff is coming out with holes. I am going to put negative reviews out everywhere I can to warn people not to buy these junky products.

Had nothing but problems and the unit was 5 years old. We got tired of having it worked on and breaking down over and over. Decided to bite the bullet and have another local contractor install a different furnace and very happy now. They let just about anybody sell the Amana product it looks like.

On November 23, 2011, my 2007 Amana French door, bottom freezer refrigerator model # AFI2538AES began making a loud popping noise, touch pad panel lights flashing, and cooling stopped. The popping noise was from the ice maker flap opening and closing. The HV board needs replaced, Whirlpool Manufacturer #12920710. I contacted Amana to order the part. The service rep said it is on backorder until February because they have been pulled from the shelf and are being revamped. When I asked if the part would be covered by Amana, since a part needing revamped was essentially defective, I was told no. Requested to speak with supervisor, who states she didnt know where I had heard that the part is being revamped but occasionally, they have difficulty finding manufacturers to produce parts and was certain this was the circumstance. I was told there were no other complaints like mine documented. Amazingly, however, the supervisor was able to locate the backordered part, which the service rep, the parts department and two independent repair shops were unable to find. I expressed my concern that the part found, only three in stock, may be leftover from the stock requiring revamping, rather from the previous manufacturer and not of the same quality of the part which may be produced and available in February. I suggested they reimburse for the part. They declined. I suggested they reimburse should the replacement part need replaced. They declined. I thought of more suggestions but didnt feel they were appropriate to express. Whirlpool/Maytag/Amana should recall the bottom freezer refrigerators with the HV board #12920710 due to defective or faulty part or incompatibility with these refrigerator models.

We bought an Amana refrigerator #ABD2533DEB in Dec 2004. We have had it for 7 years. Its just 2 adults in our house, so the fridge is like new. We just paid $95 to find out the compressor is shot. The cost to repair will be $800, $300 for the compressor and $500 labor. We were told that the compressor that failed had been made in China and that there have been many issues with these compressors! We were assured that all new after market compressors are now made in Korea with far fewer issues. We lost everything in the freezer and most of the fresh food in the fridge. Amana & Maytag need to do a much better job standing behind their products! Based on what Ive read, we will never buy another Amana! We will also advise any friend looking to buy a new appliance.

I recently bought a new home where the appliances were part of the package. They were all brand new so I figured that all was well. I bought liquid fabric softener to put in my rinse cycle, but I ALWAYS kept missing that cycle. I finally sat upstairs next to my laundry room and waited and listened. My washer NEVER fills up with water for the rinse cycle. My clothes have been having soap residue on them for months! This is BS! Plus, the lid always locks so that you can NEVER see how the machine actually washes your clothes. After realizing that my washer never rinsed my clothes I got online to see what other complaints I could read about this company and Im not the only person who said that their clothes never rinse. What sense does this make??? A washer that doesnt rinse??? This company should be ashamed of themselves. Now every time I wash my clothes I have to go upstairs and do a separate rinse cycle. How stupid is that?

We bought an Amana washer and dryer set 3 years ago, the washer wont advance to rinse/spin and sometimes wont unlock unless the unit is unplugged. The dryer is also failing, before the washer started having issues the dryer stopped working efficiently and has to be run for 120 minutes to get clothes dry. Im dissatisfied and disappointed!

I just purchased Amana Dishwasher Model # ADB1700ADS through HD online. As noted by another reviewer, this model has a serious engineering flaw. It does not have an exterior handle attached to the body of the door. The model has been designed so that you are forced to pull on the underside of the black plastic control panel. You can see the panel flex outward (more than .25 inches) under the pressure needed to open the door. I tried opening the door by pulling on the outer door corners and from the top edge without success. There is absolutely no question the plastic control panel will break due to material fatigue - and it will break either fast or slow depending on how often you pull on it and how hard you pull. I recommend you buy your own stainless steel door handle from any appliance parts store and install it yourself. It will cost you about $30. Amana may have saved themselves $10 (for this same part) but they will take a ding to their reputation and have a lot of unhappy customers in the future. If Amana took into consideration that in buying a dishwasher, it is not just the cost of the dishwasher for the buyer - it is also the cost of time lost from work waiting for an install that never happens within the time frame given, install fees, taxes, delivery and haul away fees. There is a lot of time, effort, and money involved in buying a dishwasher. So much so, that the buyer would not blink to pay that $10 with an upcharge to prevent the destruction of the control panel of a daily use item they dont want to have to repair or replace for years to come. As others have noted, this particular failure will not be covered under the manufacturers warranty. Otherwise, the dishwasher is noted to work properly, is better suited for a smaller family, holds fewer dishes than others of the same size, has a very long cycle, and is hoped to be of similar quality to that Amana has been noted for in the past -- with the exception of this one very serious defect. We dont really know about the quality, because it has not been out long enough to have proven itself. I would have given the dishwasher a 2.5, a 2 is too low and a 3 is too high, considering the time, effort and expense I have put into purchasing it, the day lost for install, and finding and installing a handle to safeguard the most expensive component to repair - the control panel. Once the control panel goes, it will be cheaper to buy another dishwasher than to repair it, IMO.

Amana Wide Dryer - I have purchased the dryer less then 50 days ago and the timer is already bad. This is the customer service ladys response after I say the timer is bad and they still have to order the part so it will be a few more days before it is fixed. I have already had to go to the laundromat once because 5 people live in my home and 2 of them are boys that are 8 years old. It has cost me more money at the laundromat than it does on my electric bill in 2 months. Im sorry but if you spend hundreds of dollars on something, it should work more then 50 days and you should understand not everyone can afford $40 twice a week to go to the laundromat. I will never ever purchase a appliance from Whirlpool (Amana) again after the way I was treated on the phone today. Her best response is We are gonna fix it. Its under warranty. Well yeah duh, I paid for a warranty. On the plus side, ABC Warehouse was so embarrassed that they gave me a extra year warranty on them. Sad I wont be telling my friends anything nice about you company but ABC is tops at customer service. Maybe Whirlpool employees need a course. Im not asking for my money back but give me a different dryer or give me the money to go to the laundromat. Ugh, people stink.

We purchased this washer on 11/11/10 because my washer finally let go after 18 years of wonderful service. I have had A&E at my house 6 times to fix this washer the main problem was it was chewing up and shredding my clothes and leaking then the seal around the door would come off that has been replaced multiple times. The mother board and transmission also have been replaced. Now 15 months after I purchased this machine and 6 visits later, it has happened again. The machine has ruined my daughter’s brand new coat along with my postal uniform. I have finally become angry so I call up my extended warranty (thought it was a good idea to get an extra 4 years of coverage just in case). The woman I spoke to was very nice and actually tried to get me a brand new washer but because I only used the extended warranty once, I have to give them another chance to fix it before she can do that. So she scheduled me an appointment with electronic services. The gentleman calls me and asked me what was going on with the washer. I give him all the details and he tells me it is an ongoing problem with that model and they made a replacement part for the one that has been broken so he went and ordered it. The next morning, he called me just a surprised as I am to tell me that the warranty department has denied the claim. Wow! So I call back Home Depot warranty dept and tell her what is happening now. So as of right now, it’s a waiting game. She is calling corporate to see what they can do for me. So hopefully Home Depot does the right thing and stands by their sale since Amana was nothing but nasty to me and very unhelpful through this whole thing. My next step is contacting an attorney and finding other who has received the same outcome because then we can go after Amana full force.

When there were manual controls, you could set a machine to do what you want and leave, knowing the wash cycle that you selected, regardless of your reasons, would do what you asked and come back knowing it was done. With the electronic controls, I must fight with the stupid machine to get it to rinse or spin as needed, fill as required, or whatever (wash really dirty gardening clothes well or wash hockey equipment). The automatic settings get it wrong regularly. Very frustrating.

What I like best is the way the inside is organized. The door have various sized compartments and hold a lot of smaller items as well as tall items. I have a freezer on the bottom and it is much bigger than my former standard fridge. The pull out drawer makes things easy to find. The only problem I have is that food easily slips behind the shelves and falls below the shelves.

We have had our washer and dryer for 3 years and they have never been any good. My washer timer stopped working so we are having to sit and listen out for the machine to complete or it will continue to repeat the cycles all over again if we dont stop it ourselves. The washing machine also knocks so loudly that even the dogs next door begin to bark. Our dryer timer has also stopped working causing the heating element to not blow heat.

I thought Id done adequate research through Consumer Reports, etc. My Amana French door refrigerator model # AFD2535FES worked fine for the first year. Then, the food compartment wasnt as cold as it should be and food began to spoil, although the food in the freezer drawer was rock solid and snow started forming on the inside. Id purchased an extended warranty, so I thought having it repaired would be a non-issue. The repairman said it was due to too much food in the freezer, so air couldnt circulate into the food compartment. He said to defrost the freezer, which I did. It seemed to work OK for two weeks and the same thing happened again--all the food spoiled again, even with minimal food in the freezer. The second repairman came out, this time he said it needed a new heating element. I waited another week for the part to arrive (more time off work) and then he returned and replaced it. Two weeks later, the same problem happened. Spoiled food again, and time off work. I am expecting the repairman later today.This fancy stainless steel behemoth is a lemon and needs to be recalled. The temp inside is 65F and makes storing food impossible. It has been a huge expense and a great inconvenience. I will never buy another Amana appliance and I will advise everyone I know to boycott their products.

Performs satisfactorily. Outdoor unit is bit louder than expected. We built our house in 1990 in Central V. Passive solar with 6" framing and 24" of insulation in the attic, At 11 degrees F. the Auxiliary Heat never came on over the course of 4 hours.

Replaced old 4ton unit with Amana AVXC20 5ton Air Conditioning, like the variable speed compressor and how quiet the unit is when its running.

This is the worst stove I have ever used. 70-100 degrees off in oven, takes forever to preheat. Top elements wont heat properly, cant boil water unless a lid is on. Do not recommend this product. The first stove I sent back, replacement is no better. Would be ok for someone that does not cook.

I am writing regarding my Amana microwave AMCS101AAS purchased 4 years ago. I am really disappointed with it. The inner paint on the walls and under the plate has basically all peeled off. Now it is starting to rust around the glass in the door. It is used by a retired couple. So, it is not heavily used. But I feel the paint should not be letting go.

We have used this microwave oven for more than 14 years and still works. It is not very powerful like the new models, but it does the job for us. It is very easy to operate and clean. It is big enough but very heavy.

I bought an Amana stove 2 years ago. It has been in service 5 times within the last year. The temperature control board keeps messing up. Called customer service. They said to reset it. Which I had to do 3 times and still couldnt finish making dinner. It was last fixed in November and its out again. They really dont care. Told me buy extra warranty for 400$. REALLY!!! Lets just say my response was not nice. I told them since they didnt care I would let people know about my bad experience and terrible product, she hung up on me. Now I have a useless stove because it cost just as much to fix it than what I paid for it. I would never recommend this company or product to anyone.

My husband and I bought a brand new Amana front load washer in May of 2009. Last week, March 5, 2011, it broke. It began buzzing. When I went to check it, the washer has an “ND” code and it would not open. The first girl I spoke with was Samantha. She told me that she couldnt find that code in her computer (on the net is says it means no drain, most likely true), but she told me how to get the washer to unlocked. Eventually, it did work. My washer still had dirty water and soap in it. I handled the soapy mess and later washed my clothing at my in-law’s house. When I called back to talk to them about why my washer wouldnt work and what they could do to help me, I was told nothing. I spoke to a manager and was told the same thing. The only thing they were willing to do was give me a warranty plus one. Meaning, that I get this repair fixed and one-year warranty on the piece of junk in my basement. My washer wont be 3 till May. There is no reason for it to be broken. I also did my own research and many people have complained about the same problem. I feel that this washer should be recalled or at least the company should fix it at no cost to the consumer. This seems to be an on-going problem with this model. We bought thinking this we were buying from a good company. Now, Im stuck with a scrap pile till I get the repair guy to come out, thanks to a warranty that I have to pay for out of pocket.

I purchased an Amana Side by Side refrigerator in November 2017 and the freezer quit working after 4 months. Service Technician came out to repair and said that the workmanship involved at the factory was awful and he had to replace coils/condensing unit. Needless to say the next day the refrigerator and the freezer quit working. Another service company came out a week later and said that the first company did very poor work and they were to blame for the new problem. Needless to say they had to take refrigerator to their shop to break it totally down to find out all that is wrong. Called Amana customer service to request a brand new refrigerator only to be told NO! Without a refrigerator for three weeks and counting! Is this acceptable? Ask Amana and they will say yes! NEVER BUY AN AMANA unless this is what you want. Thanks AMANA. I hope your business survives because with this type of service I know my company would not last very long and I do not think yours will either.

Five week old Amana refrigerator is broken. ‘They’ cannot repair for two days. Over 200$ of food thrown out. House is on market. What a mess. Amana does not care about food loss. Amana does not care about 2 hours spent throwing out food, washing containers; and refrigerator.

We bought an Amana atb2136arw refrigerator in 2006. This is a very basic style top freezer model. In 2011, we ran into the first problem with the food section not maintaining a good temperature. The compressor fan had to be replaced. That repair cost $175.00. Less than two years later, its same problem: The freezer seemed to be okay but temps in the food section couldnt get much below 50 degrees. But this time, the Amana was declared dead by our repair technician. He determined that half the coils in the refrigeration assembly were not working - at all. Basically, the only way to fix it would be to replace the entire refrigeration coil assembly - something that cant practically be done once this model leaves the factory. In other words, it isnt even repairable. When you add up the initial price paid, plus the cost of one repair, this POS appliance cost us $200.00+ per year of use. Needless to say, the replacement refrigerator we purchased was not manufactured by Amana.

We bought our Amana fridge last year...it is still under warranty. Three days ago it stopped working...very warm inside. The first person I spoke to at Amana/Whirlpool said I would have to wait a week for service. She was very unhelpful, couldnt have sounded less interested. I found a local repairman who said he could do warranty work for Amana & could come at once but needed a dispatch number. When I phoned Amana again I got a more helpful person & the repair man came that day. However the fridge needs a new part & so I still have to wait until next week. Luckily were having very cold weather so all my food is out in Mother Natures refrigerator! Having read all the above reviews Im hoping that I dont have a total lemon. We bought the fridge because it was the only one that fit the space we have...but Im very disappointed.

Purchased an Amana washer and dryer 4 years ago and the washer has broke down. I only do laundry once a week and it is only my husband and me, not a lot of washing to do and it has already broken down. Went back to Teppermans to see about a new machine but the nice salesman asked if we had purchased an extended warranty and he checked for us and we still have a year left on the warranty. The salesman then told me that they would repair it or replace it. Apparently he isnt aware of the horrible service from the company handling the extended warranties. 45 minutes after I called they sent me an email stating that my claim was denied because of the items that arent covered by the warranty. I guess they have magical powers to be able to diagnose the problem without anyone looking at the machine. Very disappointed with the Amana and will never purchase any of their products again.

My daughter purchased a washer in August 2015. Two months later in October 2015 the lid locked and could not be opened. She called Amana for service. It took 2 weeks for someone to come to her house and look at it. He ordered parts, 2 weeks later he put the parts in. Still didnt work. Without all the details, it is three months later and six visits from the repair men and the washer is still not fixed. Now they are saying the repairman is only in her area twice a week and only in the mornings. She works mornings and is available afternoons. This very poor service and product that Amana is providing. This washer should have been replaced with a new one by now. NEVER again will our family purchase an Amana product.

I got this product installed in my rented house by the landlord. The machine stopped working on the first week right before Christmas. We waited 10 days for repair guy to come and fix it. The machine is new so he billed $340 the insurance or whatever. Two laundry loads later the machine is dead again. I ruined my laundry because I put the detergent and the bleach and had to wait another week for another repair guy to come. Im not going to be surprised if it dies again soon after... I wonder if all the happy customers reviews are actually submitted by the customers. I also wonder if my review will be screened out and removed from this site. Im gonna post it everywhere though. Save your money and save yourself from the troubles. Get something that is not so cheaply made.

I bought a new town home which comes with an Amana refrigerator. This is a very bad experience. The fridge never ever works properly on any settings. The freezer is always freezing or producing snow ice that blocks the flow of ice and the ice keep on coming out of the place where its supposed without stopping. Water leaks all night from the water flow place... the worst appliance I have ever had.

I purchased a rental house that had a 16-year-old refrigerator. My brother was upgrading his appliances to stainless steel, so he offered me his 8-year-old Amana refrigerator. I thought it would be a good idea to reduce the risk of having to replace an old unit. Im now on my third major repair in less than two years. I bought an Amana washer from Best Buy in January 2015 which has a 1 year warranty. I realized it doesnt rinse on any cycle. It runs water in to rinse but as soon as it fills and stops running water in, it runs the water out and spins. I have called the # for it to be repaired but we are still waiting for a repair man. I just hope it will be repaired before the warranty runs out. Dont know what else to do.

I brought an Amana washer and dryer set in 2015. Four years later, the washer works great, the dryer quit, so now I have to replace a dryer that should have lasted a lot longer than four years. If youre in the market for a new washer and dryer, dont buy Amana. I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy.

Amana has more than met my expectation, in function and in appearance. I have enjoyed the bottom freezer. The only exception is the quality of the handle, broke within two years.

Dryer spews lint out from around the lint trap door. It has since we bought it and has progressively gotten worse. The lint trap door is on the top of the dryer. Whole house ends with a layer of dust every time laundry is done. Laundry room gets a nice layer of lint in it as well. Since this is a gas dryer, I have concerns about this being a fire hazard. Didnt fully appreciate the quantity of lint being spewed until after warrant was expired. Didnt contact company due to this, but it has been this way since it was delivered, just has gotten worse.

Purchased an Amana washer nine years ago, and the washer is only used once a week. And you would think it would last longer. Were talking about two loads a week. It will cost $300 to repair. What has happened to the craftsmanship of some of our appliances? And I have noted that if I had a family, it would have malfunctioned sooner, but if its only me, it would take longer. All of the complaints that I discovered so far are mostly about the seal and the leaking water from the bottom. So I spent $75 to have a repairman tell me it would cost $300. How can Amana continue to manufacture these washers without having a recall? The model number is NAV2330AWW, serial number NO1004341EG. I have seen this model mentioned in several complaints. I will never buy another Amana brand item. It is not fair when a company has existed forever and continues to manufacture poor quality products. Who can you trust, who stands behind their name saying we are the best, who knowingly manufactures and sells a product with a short service life? That is Amana. It is all about the profit and not about a positive reputation. It is my fault for not Googling about Amanas complaints regarding their washers. It would have saved me at least $75 for the diagnostic repair fee.

I wasnt familiar with the brand name but decided to take a gamble. I purchased the stove and fridge in May 2017 new. The stove is rusting along the bottom of the stove door and the pieces are falling apart. This started last year. The fridge shelf that holds the bottom bin has broken. There is only my husband and myself living here. No children to break it! Im am very upset and now I hate my appliances. I would not recommend Amana to anyone. They need to be replaced. The stove especially.

I purchased a Amana refrigerator stainless steel on December 14/2015. Two weeks after use stopped to work. I called to Flamingo repairs as recommended by the factory. They ask two weeks to come and see. When the technician came he said the compressor is death and we have to wait two more weeks to arrival of the new compressor. Ok fixed. But two more weeks later stopped again. I called again the Flamingo repair and they did the same procedure. After a lot of stress because many food lost they finally fixed. But two weeks later stopped again. So far Im waiting the technician to come again and fix it. Im very unhappy. I realize that I bought a garbage, waste of money. Each time that stop about Us 200,00 in a garbage. A lot of stress. Three months and just 4 weeks with refrigerator. Please do not buy Amana!

This machine does not wash clothes very well. Everything must be hand washed beforehand. So for lightly soiled items, it would be nice to be able to just rinse and spin/dry. But even this small feature is impossible to isolate. The spin cycle leaves clothes quite wet. The rinse cycle adds more water than the wash cycle does and takes forever. Remember that I am getting the dirt out by washing the clothes by hand. The wash cycle does such a poor job. When I put the bed cover in for a wash, the water level did not wet more than half of the cover. So I manually filled it with water from the sink. The washer released the water out. So I wasted all that soap and effort. I took the cover to the laundromat. This machine does not wash laundry well. It has one reason for being in the house: to wash laundry, and I am doing clothes by hand or going to a laundromat. #fail.

My less than 2-year-old, Amana, built-in microwave, model amc2206bas has cracking and peeling ceiling paint. I called customer service and was told there is nothing they can do as it is outside the 1-year service. I am very angry that this defective product can be dumped on consumers. I intend to contact my State Attorney General to see if anything can be done.

My microwave splatters really easy even when food is covered my a paper towel. It melts plastic easily. I have to pay closer attention when I use any plastic product. I like to microwave and leave while cooking. I cannot do this.

My refrigerator was just 11 months old when it started falling apart. All the plastic pieces, shelves, meat bin, crisper drawer, cheese drawer, door shelves, etc., began cracking, splitting and falling. I complained to Amanda and was told all these pieces are cosmetic, and didnt affect the operation of the refrigerator. After several complaints and letters, I was sent, as a 1 time courtesy, one shelf, and one drawer which also promptly broke. Tonight the door bin fell off taking another bin with it. A jar of pickles landed on my toe, and a bottle of hot sauce broke, and a cherry soda exploded. I would say that affects the function of the product. I also have a Whirlpool (same company) microwave and the plastic door cracked and split all over. Again, I was told it was just cosmetic. Never have I had such poor quality in a product that cost so much!

Brand new oven/range had one burner that didnt work. Called for a service call that was supposed to be sent out today and got a call an hour before they were supposed to arrive saying there was an error in the way the zip code was put in and that they dont actually service the area where Im located. Now Im trying to reschedule yet another service call.

I purchased a new Amana stove for a rental property in GA at the beginning of Sept. It has NEVER worked. When I called they said they could only speak to the tenant, when she called it was past the 48 hours of delivery and since I didn’t get the warranty they would have someone come out and repair it... ok fine. The company was a no-show and no call twice. Then I get a letter from the GA housing authority that I am required to have a working stove within two days. I was forced to purchase a second stove for the renting family. I called and called Amana to pick up the useless stove and credit my account. They were extremely rude on the phone and refused to take it back. Not when I call the new repair company told me it would be fixed the day after Thanksgiving, following up today they now say the part is on backorder until next month. This will be three months now that I purchased the stove and fortunately am paying zero interest on through HD. I cannot believe the lack of customer service with Amana. I will NEVER EVER do any business with them again!!!

This refrigerator cost me around $400 over 25 years ago and is still going strong. I've broken several pieces to it and it still is kicking. I can't get this fridge to quit! It's as cold as ever and keeps everything great.

Purchased a brand new PTAC for my apartment. Unit was professionally installed and vibrates so bad it rattles the grates inside the window the unit is mounted under. The unit is less the 30 days old and Amana claims I will have to pay for the diagnostics and labor to fix or replace the unit. Their claim is the unit cannot be returned after it is installed. The warranty is worthless if you get a defective unit, and you will be paying something to have it repaired when it breaks or if it even works correctly after installed.

The Amana unit came with a ten year warranty and the condensing coil started leaking after 5 years. It was replaced at no cost to me as far as parts and labor.. It is now 7 years old with no other problems and we have been very pleased.

In 2002 bought Amana Distinctions top load washer and electric dryer. They worked great for 11 years with zero problems. The dryer still works. The washer died because when I started hearing a strange noise a couple of weeks ago, I didnt do anything about it and kept using the machine. Then during a load it started smoking. Turned out a bearing or gear or something went bad and the belt got out of alignment and running like this killed the transmission. I really wish I had called the repair person when I first heard the noise because the repair is too expensive to justify. I have really loved the no frills controls, stainless steel wash tub, and extra-large capacity. So disappointed. :(

Im generally pleased with my Amana products. However, Ive had an Amana refrigerator for a number of years and the crossbar which supports the vegetable crispers is constantly breaking. Ive recently replaced it for the fourth or fifth time, at a cost of approximately $70. a clip. It just broke again six months since I last replaced it! Im wondering if anyone else has experienced similar issues with their Amana refrigerators. Leonard **.

On February 4th 2009, I purchased an Amana front load washer and since September 29th 2010, we have had it serviced four times to replace. First, the door latch sensor; second, the door itself; third, the front panel and fourth, a new motor was installed on August 30th 2011. Now, we still have the error code 3e, which was supposed to be for the motor pop up again on September 3rd and I had to put in a fifth service. This is the worst appliance I have ever bought. I do not recommend anyone to purchase this item. I dont know what I was thinking when I went to the Home Depot. In the past, I have always purchased my appliances from Sears Kenmore and I still have my 12-year-old dryer which is still going strong.

We have an Amana refrigerator model ARB2557CSR. We have had it for 8 years. We have had a few repairs over the years, but last night took the wind out of all of us that witnessed the door fall off the hinge and break the contents that were on the door. If anyones foot would have been in the area, it would had sliced it off or crushed terribly. The door was opened and for unknown reason, dropped off onto our slate floor. If our grandson would have been near, he could have been crushed. I checked the hinges and sprockets, and it still didnt make sense.After reading other remarks about doors in consumer reviews, I am one to be added to the list. This door was one large door, not double door. It was heavy. Please be aware of this defect. I am looking at other models, yet similar malfunctions have occurred that reviews have stated. Really a frightening experience. We will be looking at other models, yet not really confident about any. Hope this helps.

I purchased an Amana Refrigerator Model; #ASS2222FEQ with Serial#1156842NA on 3/25/2008. On 7/13/2009, second incident of freezer not working in a refrigerator not yet 1-1/2 years old. I called 877-342-1446. Frantic that I was going to lose a freezer of food, I was advised by Kim that a repairman would arrive at 7/15 between 8am-12n. I called 800-628-5782, which was another number I had for Amana and spoke with Jamila. After explaining the problem, Jamila advised me that there was no service call request in the computer, so she initiated and advised that a repairman would be here on Wednesday, 7/15/09. I did tell Jamila that a second freezer failure in less than a year is totally unacceptable.7/15/09, a repairman arrived right around 8am, discovered some problem with paperwork; I called 877-342-1446 and spoke with Mark, who was able to advise me that I had called the manufacturer and the extended warranty numbers advised are separate and do not have shared computer programs. Mark said that he could take care of it, gave me a confirmation number to the repairman and was going to Fax sheets to the local office.On 7/16/2009, the local repair business called me to say that Maytag Dependability Plus was refusing to pay the bill because they authorized another company for the repair and that company called after the first repairman had left. Amana Dependability Plus will not change the work order from A&E Factory Service (who did not come or perform any service) to Convenient Appliance Service, who came and rendered service. Jim, at the 877-3542-1446, would not give me the names of any supervisor nor would he transfer me to anyone else. He said no one there has any more authority than he had. I then called the 800-628-5782 and asked for the name of the president of company. Lisa did not know the name of the Amana president, and said all she could do was to transfer me to Dependability Plus, because I have an extended warranty, endless, repetitive cycle. I advised all parties that I had not realized I was speaking with two different departments, but since the service was Ok’d, I do not understand the big deal to cancel the work order to A&E Factory Service and transfer it to Convenient Appliance Service. Oh no, this can’t possibly be done!Not only do I apparently have a faulty piece of equipment, this is a company dedicated to providing customer frustration. This could have been so easily solved, but agents have dug their heels in, and will be damned if they will help the customer. This is the very last Whirlpool/Amana product I will purchase. Remember, this is the second time the freezer stopped freezing in less than 1-1/2years. Customer service is a joke and we wonder why jobs go overseas? I am stuck with a $97 bill, my freezer problem is still unresolved and I have wasted an entire day. My B/P is soaring. I regret ever purchasing an Amana product and certainly an extended warranty.

It is near impossible to boil water on my newly purchased stove. I’ve had a medium sized pot of water on the burner for half an hour on high and it’s never reached a boil, WTF! Phoned customer service and received no help. What a waste of money this piece of ** is. Will never buy an Amana again.

We recently replaced our old air conditioning unit with a Amana. We went for a 20 SEER Amana. We love it. We love it’s two stages, energy efficiency, quiet operation and warranty.
