I bought my Amana Ntw4650yq0 washer new about 5 years ago and it wont spin. I do not recommend the 4600 series and I will never purchase another Amana product because you cant actually contact them.

From day one, it hasnt been a good purchase. Barely dries anything, you have to slam the dryer door to get it to close. Wrote Amana and even 3 days after purchase, would not guarantee a free service call to fix the door problem. My mistake was not returning the piece of crap to Home Depot and buying another brand.

I bought an Amana dishwasher model ADB1500AWW3 in early 2011 from Home Depot. I had originally chosen another brand, but the sales clerk told me that the Amana would last longer than the one I had chosen. What she did not tell me was that the control panel would not last one year. A couple of cycles, it stopped working early on, but being I didnt use those much I thought I would see what happened. Then it stopped working altogether. I called Home Depot and was told that being it was over one year they could not do anything about it. I will never waste my money on Amana products again.

I have a Amana dishwasher in my rental house and it stopped circulating water at about a year and half - I tried to get some type of concession from Amana for parts and labor going through their service outlet. The answer was a complete NO due to the fact that it was out of warranty. This dishwasher just stopped circulating water one day and didnt get the dishes clean due no water spraying on the dishes. I personally went underneath the dishwasher and gently tapped the circulation pump and it began to work. My years of experiences in the automotive field tells me that this is a manufacture defect with their motors where the manufactured motor has a flat spot in the rotor that will stop in a certain location and stop working at times. This failure was produced at the manufacturer and if I am right they too know that it is their responsibility to take care of the defect but the almighty profit or dollar cost is more important than customer service of honesty. To this I say I hope Amana goes out of business because I think it wont be too long that it will go out of business due to the fact that they are already under Whirlpool. I learned my lesson - if the product is cheaper than everyone else what can you expect? It sure wouldnt be your moneys worth, not even at a year and half use.

We are a single couple with few loads to run. After 3 years our Amana front load washer circuit board went out. It was replaced with a three hundred dollar new one. 3 years after the replacement was installed, the replacement went haywire. This is a circuit board part that everyone says is no longer available because the manufacturer doesnt want to replace anymore.So, long story short: Original cost of new Amana front load originally: $560. Cost of first replacement circuit board $385. (Replacement part lasted 2 years). New cost to replace our Amana washer $600. New cost to haul off Amana washer $50. Wow! My total $1,595. It used to be that Amana was a great name. Ill never buy from them again.

We purchased this washer on 11/11/10 because my washer finally let go after 18 years of wonderful service. I have had A&E at my house 6 times to fix this washer the main problem was it was chewing up and shredding my clothes and leaking then the seal around the door would come off that has been replaced multiple times. The mother board and transmission also have been replaced. Now 15 months after I purchased this machine and 6 visits later, it has happened again. The machine has ruined my daughter’s brand new coat along with my postal uniform. I have finally become angry so I call up my extended warranty (thought it was a good idea to get an extra 4 years of coverage just in case). The woman I spoke to was very nice and actually tried to get me a brand new washer but because I only used the extended warranty once, I have to give them another chance to fix it before she can do that. So she scheduled me an appointment with electronic services. The gentleman calls me and asked me what was going on with the washer. I give him all the details and he tells me it is an ongoing problem with that model and they made a replacement part for the one that has been broken so he went and ordered it. The next morning, he called me just a surprised as I am to tell me that the warranty department has denied the claim. Wow! So I call back Home Depot warranty dept and tell her what is happening now. So as of right now, it’s a waiting game. She is calling corporate to see what they can do for me. So hopefully Home Depot does the right thing and stands by their sale since Amana was nothing but nasty to me and very unhelpful through this whole thing. My next step is contacting an attorney and finding other who has received the same outcome because then we can go after Amana full force.

I purchased an electrical oven from Buddys Appliances - something went wrong and they replaced it with the Amana Electric Oven. I had troubles with it the entire time Ive had it, and noticed whenever I put it on self clean it did a horrible burning smell and would smoke out the house - something awful. So after cooking dinner I put it on self clean and it did the usual, I didnt think much of it till I noticed the inside of my oven was in flames. Lucky my son-in-law and his friend pulled it out of the house, I couldnt put it out myself being that it went on to self lock. It was so hot the boys burned themselves pretty bad by trying to get it out of the house. Im waiting to hear back from both companies Amana and the store I purchased it from, this happened on 30 minutes ago, I just thought this could help others.

I really like my new Amana electric range / oven. I bought it as part of an Amana packaged deal from Best Buy which included a refrigerator and dishwasher. Like the other appliances in the Amana package, the range not only looks great, but is also highly functional and efficient. As I wrote in my previous review of my new Amana refrigerator / freezer, I got a great deal at Best Buy and I am glad I made the purchase. Highly recommended! P.S. About 2 months before this purchase, I bought an Amana washing machine. My positive experience with my new Amana washing machine led to my purchase of the Amana kitchen appliance pacakge.

Our three year old Amana bottom freezer fridge did not cool the upper fridge. After checking coils, etc. called a repairman who took about 5 minutes to diagnose the problem: control board failure. $200+ (Canadian) for the part, $135 service call, plus tax. Just under $400. Ive suggested to Amana/Whirlpool that they consider building a better product. Repair guy sees it often. He carries the boards in his van. He did say that Whirlpool brands are getting worse, but couldnt say who was getting better. Sad and annoying and just bad business by a company that could do better, but probably wont.

We bought a smooth top Amana range in October of 2015. Recently the glass top shattered...sounding like gun fire. One of the burners no longer functions. Is this a common problem? The replacement top will cost more than half of the cost of a new range.

We have had our washer and dryer for 3 years and they have never been any good. My washer timer stopped working so we are having to sit and listen out for the machine to complete or it will continue to repeat the cycles all over again if we dont stop it ourselves. The washing machine also knocks so loudly that even the dogs next door begin to bark. Our dryer timer has also stopped working causing the heating element to not blow heat.

Purchased an Amana top loading washing machine in December 2018 from Home Depot. It worked well for about a year. Then after that the issues began. Stopped cleaning clothes completely, leaving them soaked and dirty. Began making horrible loud sounds constantly, it would get stuck on certain cycles and not complete others, it stopped agitating clothes all together. The control panel was completely out of whack by August 2020 and basically beyond repair (per more than one repairman). It stopped functioning altogether by December 2020, which is exactly 2 years after the original purchase date. So I was then forced to purchase yet another washing machine (not Amana). Amana washing machines are a total waste of money and they do not last!!! I regret purchasing one big time...I learned the hard way how poor quality they really are. Do not buy.

I purchased an Amana Washer on 2/13/2015 from a dealer in appliances here in Oldsmar, FL. I bought this Washer and Dryer due to the fact these items were Made in America. The paint on inside of the top lid of the washer is chipping off, peeling off, etc. and some of these flakes of paint drop into the washer on my clothes and only will only get worse with time. I called Amana and since I did not like what the sales rep said I asked for a supervisor which stated to me that he could not help me to replace the top piece of the washer. He could only send me a bottle of touch up paint. This guy also needs to send me a large brush with a quart of paint! This washer is only a little over 3 years old and should not be peeling like it is. Not like a bunch of people use this washer as it is being used by 2 adults. No abuse or rough treatment on this appliance. Lousy paint job! Where was the inspector for the painting of this washer? Not doing his job most likely because if he had done a half-way decent inspection he would have noticed the bad paint job. The sample bottle would not cover the areas without paint. I cannot believe that this was made in America as some 3rd world country would do a much better paint job. Dryer is OK but washer a mess. I will never buy a Made in America washer or dryer again. The foreign appliances will be on my list to purchase from now on especially since these manufacturers in the US make these defective items and charge you many dollars for junk. Never will recommend Amana to anyone for anything as they do not stand behind their work.

I purchased Amana fridge (model AFD2535DEQ) on 12-4-2008. Excellent looks, cooling, and energy conservation. Loved the bottom freezer. On December 2011, the fridge’s cooling lost efficiency. The repair tech says top compressor is not working. The cost to repair is half the cost of the fridge. To date the top fridge is keeping at 39 degrees while set on coldest setting. Freezer works fine. For the forty years of my marriage I have purchased and used Maytag and Amana products. Never again! A refrigerator that costs over a thousand dollars and lasts only three years is not a good investment. As a side note, my daughter had the same problem with her Amana at only five years old. She replaced with Kenmore.

I guess I would say it is a high 5 but it is June and I have not used the heat portion of the system yet. The AC works great so far and sounds efficient. The calling mechanism is instant.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator about 2 1/2 years ago. Right after the 1 year warranty ran out, I started having problems. A strong nasty burning chemical smell was coming from the appliance and making me and everything in the house stink. Plus, the smell was making me sick, irritating my nose and eyes. The repairman replaced the relay on the compressor and told me that would take care of the problem. Well, 1 year later, we are experiencing the very same problem. The smell is so bad, I am going to have to unplug the appliance and store all the food at a friends until the repairman can get here next week. It is getting into my hair and clothes, so that I smell it all day when I am at work. I will never purchase an Amana appliance again.

Performs satisfactorily. Outdoor unit is bit louder than expected. We built our house in 1990 in Central V. Passive solar with 6" framing and 24" of insulation in the attic, At 11 degrees F. the Auxiliary Heat never came on over the course of 4 hours.

We had our Amana fridge freezer fitted in January 2009. After 6 years and 6 months this appliance has broken down and is unrepairable. We paid £3,800.00 for the fridge, and would have expected at least 10 years service from it, as we have had 10/12 years service from fridges that we have paid a fraction of this cost for. We have contacted Whirlpool, who manufactured the fridge, and have had a very unsatisfactory response so far. We are still fighting our case, and we are prepared to take this all the way, to make sure that no-one else buys an Amana product. If we had been advised that the expected lifespan of this appliance was so short and would be unrepairable, we would never have bought it.

What I like best is the way the inside is organized. The door have various sized compartments and hold a lot of smaller items as well as tall items. I have a freezer on the bottom and it is much bigger than my former standard fridge. The pull out drawer makes things easy to find. The only problem I have is that food easily slips behind the shelves and falls below the shelves.

I purchased a washer March 2013 and November 2014 it wont even start. The plug and socket was checked and they are working. So now close to Christmas I have to purchase a new washer. This time it will definitely not be an Amana brand. I wish I had read the reviews from others before making this purchase.

In 2007, I purchased an electric ceramic top slide in range model acs4250-aw. It was installed in a vacation home and used four to eight weeks per year and is still in pristene condition. In July 2011, the ERC timer panel short circuited and burned, rendering the unit nonfunctional. We have made extensive inquiries through the internet and through other sources by phone and have failed to find a replacement panel which we come to find is no longer available.After talking to Whirlpool Corporate Office, as a last resort, we were advised unceremoniously and without the least attempt to appreciate our dilemma that the part was no longer available, and that they had no process to mount a search for this part and that there was nothing they could do to help. So, we had purchased a $1800.00 plus range bearing the AMANA name which is now useless except to hang towels on. We will never buy a product from the Whirlpool group of companies again.

Purchased an Amana washer and dryer 4 years ago and the washer has broke down. I only do laundry once a week and it is only my husband and me, not a lot of washing to do and it has already broken down. Went back to Teppermans to see about a new machine but the nice salesman asked if we had purchased an extended warranty and he checked for us and we still have a year left on the warranty. The salesman then told me that they would repair it or replace it. Apparently he isnt aware of the horrible service from the company handling the extended warranties. 45 minutes after I called they sent me an email stating that my claim was denied because of the items that arent covered by the warranty. I guess they have magical powers to be able to diagnose the problem without anyone looking at the machine. Very disappointed with the Amana and will never purchase any of their products again.

I purchased an Amana Side by Side (24.9 cubic inch) in March 2017... In Dec., I noticed 2 visible cracks on both sides of the shut where ice falls to be dispensed from the freezer to outside. Also the cheap plastic on shelves & drawers has cracked. My husband & I are both in our 60s & are not rough on our appliances. The refrigerator gets opened maybe 4 times a day. A repairman came out to look & stated we were under warranty, however WHIRLPOOL refuses to fix the inside of freezer door... said its cosmetic. NO, ITS NOT. Even the repairman said it was defective from the factory & will continue to only get worse. WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER THING FROM THEM.

This is the worst washing machine Ive ever used! You cannot soak any clothes because if you walk away with the lid open during the filling cycle and you do not close the lid within 10 minutes it pumps the water out. There is no way to delay the wash cycle in order to soak a load of clothes. The rise cycle fills with cold water, does not agitate, and immediately pumps the water out. When it has finished pumping the water out (there is no way to stop this action) I then need to turn the selector knob to rinse in order to rinse the clothes. This results in my using twice the water for the rinse. Talk about a crummy machine. I had a repairman out to replace the control board, but it only worked for a week. My advice - DO NO BUY AMANA PRODUCTS!

I bought a new Amana washer in Feb 2014 at ABC warehouse. I had call the service tech out to my house 3 times. The last time I call bbb. ABC replace it with another Amana - I receive that one in 10/14. On 12/7/14 the machine stop washing.

My Amana Range model no. ARTSC8651SS - I purchased the above stainless steel range, matching microwave, and refrigerator. It was under warranty and started beeping with an F-1 code flashing. I called and it was fixed. Then, I bought an extended warranty and it failed again but was fixed again. I did not get (because it was getting too expensive) another extension and now it failed again. When I contacted Amana customer service, Melanie ** said that the range is old and they do not have the panels. What got me angry was that I called a company here in Toledo, Ohio and they have the parts I need. Amana should have recalled that range and admitted that Amana is junk. Now, they sell junk and also lie to cover their lack of good workmanship products. I will never buy Amana products again! How can you get these people to stop ripping off the customers?

Purchased a new Amana Washing Machine, top loader. Repair personnel just left. Oil was leaking from underneath the front. They said, Two to three weeks for new motor and other parts. I was told to continue to use it. My concern is that if there is no oil how can the motor work and the motor is the main part with additional parts. How can I continue to use it? This is a safety concern. If motor has to be replaced because the oil is gone, wouldnt it overheat causing a fire hazard, or further damage to the appliance?Updated on 09/25/2015: The repair technician just left, after a six week wait for six new parts including motor. Everything below the top. It had leaked oil onto the floor. No water damage. Just the motor and all its internal parts. This was a brand new product not a refurbished product, so I paid full price. After the ninth load of clothes this happened and less than ninety days I had go without using my washer. To my dislike I havent been offered a new product replacement nor reimbursed for my inconvenience. Im having Trust issues even right now on using my newly repaired new product. This is concerning to me. It is for this reason that I would have to rate this product a ZERO.

I have wanted a 2-stage HP for years so when our 22yo 10SEER AC was nearing EOL, we jumped at the opportunity for a high-performance unit. My expectations have been exceeded: We love the dehumidification feature, the ECM air handler is able to reach the furthest corners of our house, I have to go outside to check if the condenser is running sometimes even though the unit is right outside our kitchen window, and the heat pump uses ~1kW less electricity while in the 2nd stage than our old unit. ComfortNet/Bridge took some learning but if you have patience and like to read then you'll be tuning your system in no time. Honestly, I ended up going back to many of the defaults because the whole setup is already quite efficient. We recently had a few <50F mornings so I have also been able to test the heat in action and am now looking forward to a cold winter to really stretch the system's legs!

I thought Id done adequate research through Consumer Reports, etc. My Amana French door refrigerator model # AFD2535FES worked fine for the first year. Then, the food compartment wasnt as cold as it should be and food began to spoil, although the food in the freezer drawer was rock solid and snow started forming on the inside. Id purchased an extended warranty, so I thought having it repaired would be a non-issue. The repairman said it was due to too much food in the freezer, so air couldnt circulate into the food compartment. He said to defrost the freezer, which I did. It seemed to work OK for two weeks and the same thing happened again--all the food spoiled again, even with minimal food in the freezer. The second repairman came out, this time he said it needed a new heating element. I waited another week for the part to arrive (more time off work) and then he returned and replaced it. Two weeks later, the same problem happened. Spoiled food again, and time off work. I am expecting the repairman later today.This fancy stainless steel behemoth is a lemon and needs to be recalled. The temp inside is 65F and makes storing food impossible. It has been a huge expense and a great inconvenience. I will never buy another Amana appliance and I will advise everyone I know to boycott their products.

I purchased this Amana washer in March 23, 2015. In February 27, 2016, this problem occurred: I turn on the washer, but as soon as the wash fill ups with water, it does not move to wash and it does not lock to start the wash cycle. The water drains and then I have to start the wash all over again. So I thought it was the lid switch, and my solution was to push down on the lid hard enough until I heard a click sound. This worked for several months. Another problem occurred on August 12, 2016: my load would complete the cycle, but when I open the lid, I clearly see that the clothes are soaked so this means that during the drain/spin cycle, the speed was too slow to fully squeeze out all of the water from the clothes. So my next solution was to start the drain/spin cycle only, but again. With all these problems that keep coming up, we decided to use our warranty, so we called in to have the washer repaired.We called HHGregg to repair the washer, and we gave all the detailed information as to the problems and the possible fixes to it. Their representatives solution was to replace the washer because they deemed the necessary repairs to the washer as costing more than the value of the washer. Well, we were shocked, because this washer is only 18 months old, so how could its value decrease so quickly in under 2 years? I researched and found that the drain/spin and lid switch is a very common problem with Amana washers. So we understood that we got what we paid for. So back to the washer replacement with HHGregg. They shipped us a new washer for around the same price of our old purchase.Again, we purchased the first washer in March (we got a St. Patricks Day Sale Price), and now were getting this new washer that is smaller and still is an Amana. HHGregg refuses to repair it, they would rather give us a washer that is smaller in capacity and would most likely last for a year but no more than 2 yrs. In a nutshell, we were screwed over by HHGregg, because they saved on repair costs, and gave us a washer of lesser value than what we originally started with. Oh ya, we had to pay on taxes, obviously, so they profited from that too. AMANA WASHERS ARE TERRIBLE!!! Save your money and purchase a more reliable washer!!!

We bought an Amana oven from Home Depot in July 2010. We did not purchase the extended warranty package. You would think when you buy an appliance that you would get, at least, five plus years out of it. Well, in September 2011, our oven stopped working. We had the gas company come to check out the gas that we smelled. He said that the fire ignition is no good. So, we are two months past the warranty and this oven needs to be repaired. Needless to say, we are not happy and the gas representative said that he would never get an Amana oven.The consequences are that we have to pay someone to fix this and it will probably cost about $250. Does Amana make these to break down on purpose after the warranty period ends? Seems like an incredible coincidence to me. We may just get a new oven at this point and it will not be an Amana. When you purchase an item like this, you should have the confidence that it will give you a decent amount of time and 14 months is not acceptable.

We have only had this Heat Pump/Air conditioner for about two weeks--so far so good. It is easy to operate and does the job as expected. Bell Air Conditioning was very easy to work with and did an excellent job. We are pleased, so far.

The washer and dryer are a nice size, nice colors. However not a whole lot detail on the door locks which is nice but afraid to open it if I need to add softener. Also I would like it to be a little more quietly.

We bought an Amana Top Loading Washer (NTW4605EW0) on July 22, 2016 to replace a front load Whirlpool Washer that had its control module go up. Big mistake! 9 months and 2 days later... what do you know same issue that we were having with the Whirlpool! The washer would not drain. Turned it off and unplugged it. Now it wont power back on and drain. I had to hand drain the washer as far as I could get it and pull all my soaking wet clothes out to finish hand washing them! I am beyond frustrated with all Whirlpool Corporations various holdings (Amana, Maytag, Whirlpool, and many more) washers. Never again will I buy any washer made by a single company owned by Whirlpool!

Our old heat pump died and we needed a new one. I did a great deal of research and we chose this Amana model as the best value as it had a great price and great quality.

I have had a new top load HE washer now for just a few months and I regret I ever bought them. List of problems: (1) This will be the 3rd service call in just a few months. (2) NO SOFTENER DISPENSER, what rocket scientist would design a washer without a softener dispenser??? Its not like it would cost anymore to the company! You have to either stop the machine right when it’s filling up for a rinse cycle or...buy a softener ball which stains clothes and does an ineffective job at best! (3) My electric bill has not dropped one penny, do not tell me that these machines are more efficient, thats just politics, so that congress can say they are being more environmentally safe! HE (high efficiency) is not true!!!(4) The washer does a terrible job of cleaning clothes. It does NOT agitate properly, it just winds back and forth a little and makes a weird little noise. My old washer (Kenmore) was a superior product and I wish I had never got rid of it... If you own an Amana top load, just wash your clothes in deep water, so they at least wash better. (5) This is our 3rd service call as I said in the beginning in just a few months, the first 2 service calls were with the dryer and this one is for the washer. The motherboard is bad in the head of the unit. Buyer beware, these are not old time washers that you could open up any time or adjust water levels during the operation or just open up anytime you wanted to add clothes or more soap... No... These are very sensitive electronics that have issues when the washer process is disturbed in any way!!!(6) This is the way you have to treat these washer, pay attention... Open up lid, add soap, put clothes or whatever your washing on sticky soap. Add softener ball if you (unknowingly) bought a washer without a softening dispenser. That was us... Never buy from ad in paper, go see it, who knew washers are now made WITHOUT softener Dispensers!!! Then close lid and set settings from left to right and hit start program button. The reason I said program button (Start) is because these junk washers are now like cyborgs, part computer with junk electronic boards as electronics to control functions and operations of a washer which are just basic.After you do that, do NOT disturb in any way! Otherwise YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS AND REGRET YOU EVER BOUGHT THIS PIECE OF JUNK. Resetting only works so many times when it does have problems. I bought this from a local vendor through a sale paper ad. The vendor is not the problem, this is a Amana Corporate issue. Shame on you Amana, I will never buy a Amana product again... Trying to reinvent the wheel?

I bought a washing machine from Amana in November and my first service call was in December. They came 3 times and havent fixed it yet and its April 26 and Im waiting for another service call. Why do I have to suffer. I bought a new machine and it hasnt worked. They dont care at all.

On 2/15/2010, I purchased an Amana Refrigerator for $1019. My old refrigerator was noisy. I had my new Amana for 7 months before it starting making loud noises. Had it repaired under my warranty. 11/25/2011, the refrigerators main part no longer was cooling, although the freezer was still working. Amana now wants $65 for a house call, plus labor and parts or $312 for a one year warranty which would include this repair. How disgusting is this to pay that much for an appliance and have it work for approximately 18 months, and then have the manufacturer want additional money it repair this lemon. After reading some of the reviews, I would never pay an Amana repair man and or buy Amana again. The consumer should be able to get relief from companies like this.

Very sample microwave to use. Was very easy to install. The price was great being that I purchased it as an open box it was great condition.

I bought an Amana clothes washer in December and it died on March 6th. I have contacted the company about trying to get a refund and got a form letter and a rude customer service person... Im sending them a certified letter and then filing in small claims court to try to get my money back. So save yourself a hassle and buy another brand.

I bought an Amana stove 2 years ago. It has been in service 5 times within the last year. The temperature control board keeps messing up. Called customer service. They said to reset it. Which I had to do 3 times and still couldnt finish making dinner. It was last fixed in November and its out again. They really dont care. Told me buy extra warranty for 400$. REALLY!!! Lets just say my response was not nice. I told them since they didnt care I would let people know about my bad experience and terrible product, she hung up on me. Now I have a useless stove because it cost just as much to fix it than what I paid for it. I would never recommend this company or product to anyone.

Washer machine take a long time to wash. Dont know if it rinses cause its always in wash. Have never had a problem with any other brand but this one has been the first washer that I hate. I want my money back.

French doors are great. The cover over the meat keeper broke and can’t be repaired or replaced. Freezer is nice, but I struggle to find anything in it, however the two sliding drawers are nice. Great ice maker, keeps up easily.

We bought an Amana Refrigerator in May 2005. It is now 6 1/2 years old and began making noises recently It died last night and the repair will be about $800 or more. This fridge was working fine until recently. Over the past two years my parents and my wifes parents both bought this same model as they liked ours. Hopefully theirs wont die as well. We called a repairman who said that, that year (2005), there were problems with the compressors.From reading other complaints it seems that it is not limited to that year. From researching different refrigerators last night, it appears that the Amana, Maytag and Whirlpool are all exactly the same refrigerator with just a different nameplate on them. Whirlpool bought Maytag in 2006 and Maytag had already bought Amana prior to that. So much for Amish people in Iowa making a decent appliance. We are disappointed in Amana. We had my grandmothers refrigerator when I was in high school. It must have been 35 years old and ran fine.

I have had several gas stoves, ovens and this one seems to work perfect for me it doesnt have a bunch of bells and whistles its a plain Jane and I love it. I purchased a brand new stainless steal Amana refrigerator 6 months ago for 1200. The day it arrived I had issues. The doors do not line up. One door is 2 inches below the other. I called Amana and they told me this was due to a crooked house! The refrigerator sits perfectly level. Within hours we realized that the ice machine had design flaws. Water and ice cubes fail to land in the cup. Ice goes all over the floor. We have resorted to opening the freezer door and scooping ice out.About two weeks in to owning the refrigerator both of the sliding fruit and vegetation drawers were cracked. They are made of very brittle plastic. The drawers do not have castor wheels or a slide system. They just sit plastic on plastic. This causes major friction and difficulty shutting the drawers leading to them breaking. Amana offered to ship new ones but did not offer a fix. The refrigerator in the show room had extra freezer shelves and a meat cheese drawer. Mine came without them and I was told these are add on by Amana customer support. I will never again purchase an Amana product. Very dodgy craftsmanship.

I bought a Amana electric stove 4 years ago. Im extremely picky with my stuff so I just now decided to clean the oven. I ran the self cleaning mode on the stove twice even and the oven looks terrible. Honestly it looks worse than it did before I cleaned it. The bottom of the stove looks like its a real old stove. So disappointing, never again will I buy from this brand!

I ordered and received the Amana Model AZF33X20DW03 Upright freezer in March 2020 and received it in toward the end of May 2020. The freezer cost $913.50 and lasted one year and quit freezing. There was just over $400.00 worth of food destroyed. Rona Hardware said they will not cover the freezer as it is just off warranty. Given there are really only a few appliance manufacturers globally it seems they finally cornered the market by removing the competition from the equation. How are consumers supposed to afford replacing brand new appliances on a yearly basis?

My fridge is seven and a half years old. It is an SS Amana side-by-side. About three years ago, so it was five years old at the time, the fridge stopped cooling. And when the repair man came, out the freezer coils were all frosted up. At this time, he replaced the defrost timer but said he did not feel comfortable that that was it. That was in June. In November, it happened again. We replaced it yet again. Well, it now happened at least every three to four months. Sometimes we can reset the timer and it will work for a while again. I have read all the reviews and they are so numerous I cannot even read them all. Obviously, something with this product is extremely faulty. I have asked them to come out and get to the root cause of the problem, and they insist on charging me just for the service call. Thats not to mention the part cost. I really wish I could afford a new fridge because this one is a real pain in the neck. I’m so frustrated. I will never ever buy an Amana product again.

The oven just quit working. It started beeping and displayed F1. I have to turn it off at the breaker box because the constant beeping is insanely horrible!

My washer has given me multiple problems within the first year! It always gets stuck on rinse, which raises my water bill. I have four children and one week before school, my washer stopped working. The technician was supposed to come between one to five. I got home and one of my neighbor said the tech was here at 12:00. He didnt even come back. They were supposed to then come the next day - no show, no call! They have given me nothing but rudeness. Do not buy from this company.

I had an Amana gas stove/oven, and replaced approximately 4 thermostats over 5 years. I decided to get rid of it and get a new stove oven. When I went to buy the new oven, I thought maybe my Amana oven was somehow a lemon. Knowing that Amana used to mean quality, I stupidly bought another Amana gas stove/oven, which is a better model, and now more digital, and have had it since last fall. I used it the other day, and the same thing happened as it did with the other one I had, when the temperature reaches 400. All of a sudden, it ignores the 400 and keeps rising. I only knew it was happening, because my food started to smell too hot, and when I looked at the oven thermometer I have inside, it said 600 degrees. I hate that I cannot trust Amana anymore, and would really like to return this product and buy anything other than Amana.

I purchased an Amana Washer and Dryer from McKinneys Appliance in September 2014. Sometimes it works - but more often it does not. It does not clean the clothes, but it does get them wet. I put a load in, press the start button, and it sits there - finally a ding and the door locks and the cycle goes directly to spin - and no water in the tub. The circuit board has been replaced twice - the repair lasts one month, and the problem comes back again. I contacted Amana and waited 6 weeks for a repair person from Appliance Repair - the company was in another city.

In late 2001 or 2002, I purchased a drop-in electric Amana Kitchen Range, model #ARTSC865OE. The touch pad control panel was replaced twice by the merchant where I purchased it. On the third occurrence, he suggested that I deal directly with Amana for another replacement. I used a local repair shop that replaced the panel again at my expense. Part of the local knowledge repair was to put insulation behind the front panel with the control panel and knobs to keep heat away. In addition, the high temperature crystals on the knob panel continue to break off. One repair call to replace them cost me $75 and now 2 more are broken. I assume the heat makes them brittle. Now, the top broiler element is not heating. Since this is Labor Day, were out tomorrow to replace the stove and matching microwave. It wont be Amana, Maytag etc. Also the local small business retailer that sold this to us has lost our recent appliance purchases of over $5,000.

When my Amana fridge was delivered I noticed a lot of scratches on one side and a dent on the other. I immediately contacted my salesmen and sent him pictures of damages. Waited weeks for response and was offered a small credit. They were not willing to replace the fridge. I contacted Amanas customer service and got no satisfaction at all. When there were manual controls, you could set a machine to do what you want and leave, knowing the wash cycle that you selected, regardless of your reasons, would do what you asked and come back knowing it was done. With the electronic controls, I must fight with the stupid machine to get it to rinse or spin as needed, fill as required, or whatever (wash really dirty gardening clothes well or wash hockey equipment). The automatic settings get it wrong regularly. Very frustrating.

I bought the set at Menards April 2016. The washer is absolutely awful. It never gets the clothes clean, never! It never has enough water in it no matter what setting I have it on no matter how big or small the load. You cant leave the lid open for a pre soak or it resets itself. Ive tried all the recommended steps Amana added to the instructions. Im so disappointed. I will never buy an Amana or Maytag product again. Yesterday I went to take clothes out of the dryer and I havent had an issue with the dryer until I pulled the door open and the handle on the dryer broke.I felt when I was making this purchase that Amana was a trusted brand. I will never buy an Amana product again. We purchased an Amana gas stove three years ago. I cleaned it one year after we got it and the glass in the door looked like something leaked inside. I called about it and they stated that the seal came loose and there was nothing they could do about it. We could replace it for some ridiculous price. Now, we are having trouble with the glass because it gets moisture in there and there is mold growing. Again, we have to pay to have it fixed.When you pay over $500.00 for an appliance, I expect to have some type of warranty. Needless to say, we need to get a new door, instead, we are getting a new stove and not an Amana. Another complaint I have is that the burners do not clean up nice like they say they do. I hate this stove! I would not have even given it 1 star but you had to. It would have no stars marked if it was up to me.

We purchased Amana Refrigerator model# ABB2222FEW on 8-15-06. We replaced control board when the refrigerator was only 2 yrs & 4 months old and it cost $216. Well guess what, it just went out again. The part cost me $111. My husband will try to replace it. If he cant, we will have to dish out another $100. This is ridiculous. Amana needs to step up and have a recall on this product. I bought a matched set Amana Washer and Dryer in 2000. I have washed and dried three loads a week since I got the machines. They are still in use and working well. I have never had to call a repairman. Thats dependability and quality. Love It.

Bought this on 5/1/2018, was delivered 5/8/2018. Called service because of how wet things were and dishwasher walls were extremely wet. First repairman said there was nothing wrong. Called the company and they sent a different repairman who found that it needed a new control panel, that the heater was not coming on. That was replaced on 5/24/2018 and I am still having issues with wet dishes and very wet walls when the cycle is done. I have had other dishwashers and none of them were wet when done. I think I got a lemon and have been trying to get the company to give me a replacement, even if I have to spend a bit more money. I am disgusted with the performance of this Amana product and would never recommend it to anyone.Updated on 06/15/2018: So disgusted with my new Amana dishwasher. After calling and having repairmen out 4 times I was told nothing more can be done. The is fact that my dishes and silverware have to hand dried after the cycle is done and the interior of the dishwasher is very wet. The last repairman told me its because of the thin plastic that is used and the heat is not as high is the problem. He said that after it is used for a while the walls will become seasoned. While I know Amana is a cheap dryer it is what I could afford (for my rental home) and I thought well it should last at least 5 years. HA HA HA jokes on me. I had lots of problems with the Amana slide in range, with Model #ACSE350AS, from the get go. Where to start? Here’s a list of the problems: the control panel got really hot on high heat or broil causing the plastic layer over the buttons to warp; the burner labels (front right, back left, etc) chipped off; you need to press buttons that poked through the plastic; uneven heating and the temperature was never accurate; it took awhile to preheat; the heating elements needed to be replaced; and finally, the panel just gave out, caught fire, and we had to call the fire department! We will not buy Amana again!

In December of 2003, I purchased a drop-in Amana range model #ACS4250. The oven recently abruptly stopped heating. The repairman informs me that the part needed to repair the oven (electronic control #77001240) has been discontinued.Who does that? Who discontinues parts? I called Amana and they helped me immensely. They connected me with the sales department. As if I would be fool enough to buy another product from a company who discontinues a small part that is vital to the operation of one of their major appliances in order to force a customer to replace that appliance. I dont think so.I am an 81-year-old woman who takes extraordinary care of my appliances. This range looks as though it should be on the showroom floor and now it’s junk. The only help I got from Amana was an offer to sell me a new range or a suggestion to call around and try to find someone else who might have that part lying around.By the way, I spent most of the afternoon on the telephone doing exactly that – all to no avail. Last February 2006, I purchased an Amana Top Refrigerator Bottom Freezer. For 5 years, this is the third time I replace its Control Board. And today (9/2011), I was told that I need my THIRD Control Board ($300) replace again. I got no help from my local retailer or Amana. I will never buy this junk again. Gentlemen I buy all my appliances on July 2013 on Home Depot and in Oct 2014 my washer machine does not work. I call the company and they replace the computer, now 6 month later all the paint was rust and peeling. My refrigerator since the first day the Home Depot installs never delivery water on the door, and now the icemaker water conduct is freezing every two days and dont make ice. I will have a very bad experience with your products and never ever will buy again.

I purchased a brand new Amana 3.5 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer with Dual Action Agitator (model NTW4516FW2) in July 2018 from Home Depot. The product has completely stopped working after just over 2.5 years of normal usage in a small household of 2 people. According to the repair representative, the controller has stopped working and needs to be replaced at a cost of more than $500 which would be more than the price paid. The product lasted less than a quarter of the expected lifespan of 12 years. A call to the company that owns Amana (Whirlpool) provided no reprieve such as a discount on a replacement purchase or credit towards other Whirlpool products.

I bought an Amana range & the burners are constantly heating up then cooling down, so it either takes forever for something to cook or it burns it. Ill never buy another Amana product.

The interior paint is peeling off in big flakes now. Before they were small, but a large part of the paint on the bottom of the oven is gone. I have contacted Maytag Corp. and was told to call a service person. From what I have seen online, this is an inherent problem with this product and the company should issue a recall and make an effort to fix it at no expense to the owner. The microwave still operates perfectly, but the fear of fire or paint in food prevents me from using it.

Amana microwave brand new lasted 17 months. Cheaper to replace than have it fixed - labor and parts service call. Amana dishwasher brand new had it four years. First issue was the clasp on door. When you close it it broke. Second issue water did not drain out and no power. Fuse need to be replaced plus the mother board needed to be replaced. Labor parts and service call cheaper to replace. Last appliance gas oven. When you turned oven on to preheat it would never reach the desired temp. I would turn oven off and turn it back on and temp. would be what I had set it at. The.problem was the.panel at the top of oven where the clock and temp settings are that needed to be replaced. Same thing with parts, labor and service call. I feel like the quality of the.product was poor. When we bought our home in March 2011 the home had been remodeled and the appliances were new and still had the tape on them. We have had to replace all the appliances and the new appliances are not Amana. Thank you.

I cant stress enough how disappointed and upset I am, not only with the brand new refrigerator (model A9RXNMSWS01) breaking after 16 months, but nonsense communication, attitude, and difficulties Amana customer service just displayed! Warning: Do not purchase the top freezer, 2-door, stainless steel Amana refrigerator. The compressor will die soon after 12 months. The contracted repair person mentioned this is not uncommon with this brand. So, after spending $866 on this junk, we had to shell out another $300 in repair costs.Then the repair failed to work! Amana CS was awful, combative and couldnt communicate a clear sentence. These are lemons!

In 2006, I purchased all new Amana products, $1500 French Door Refrigerator AFD2535DEB bought 5yr extended warranty now another 3yr warranty. What a joke! I have lost over $800 in food and no one will fix it. The freezer works but the refrigerator in warm. Takes over two weeks to get a repair man to the house and when he gets there, its working again. Then they want to charge you for a service call because they couldnt get there when it wasnt working! Do not buy Amana! Same thing happened with the range. It was only 4 years old. Paid $900. I purchased a rental house that had a 16-year-old refrigerator. My brother was upgrading his appliances to stainless steel, so he offered me his 8-year-old Amana refrigerator. I thought it would be a good idea to reduce the risk of having to replace an old unit. Im now on my third major repair in less than two years. This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. We bought it in May of 2014 and to my dismay found that it did not fill on the rinse cycle. My clothes always had soap residue left on them. I read the manuals carefully and it did indicate that when manually adding softener, to let the rinse tub fill. It never did. We called the repairman who re-calibrated it, so supposedly it would work properly. He no sooner left when the red lock lid button started blinking. It was off-cycle again. It still does not fill. I have to go to another rinse drain cycle to rinse my clothes. My advice to anyone...DO NOT BUY AN AMANA WASHER, THEY ARE JUNK!!!

Amana Front Loading Washing machine Model NFW7200TW suddenly stopped filling. Received an error code of tE indicating an issue with the Thermistor. Began checking wiring and discovered several severed wires at the control panel. Contacted Amana Customer Service and was advised that they would send someone out but because the FL was no longer under warranty, I would be responsible for costs. I advised Amana rep that I was more concerned with a potential fire hazard and that was putting them on notice of the issue. The Rep basically said that they had no reports like this and that there were no recalls and nothing they would do. So anyone with this washing machine, beware!

This is our second Amana microwave. We have owned it for 20 plus years had it for 20 years & works great. Would recommend it and buy another anytime. Thats enough for me, I give it all fives or tens, terrific!

I just bought a Amana top loader washer a few weeks. So far it is doing a great job. Two years ago I spent over $2000.00 on a Maytag Bravos washer and dryer. After two years the washer started to sound like a jetliner taking off. I called Maytag and it would cost over $400.00 to repair. I did a lot of research on this and found that most the washer do this. I think Maytag should do a recall on them due to a default in the design of the washer. Until then I will stick with the Amana which is made by the same company. How funny.

Amazing furnace! Got some sweet upgrades like UV light to clean the air and WiFi connectivity so I can control the system from where ever we are. It’s been night and day difference this summer compared to last summer on the ease of keeping our home cool! We love our Amana furnace!

Our Kenmore Elite (made by Whirlpool) upright freezer died after 5 years. To me thats a short lifespan. We purchased a new Amana upright freezer (also made by Whirlpool) to replace it February 18, 2018 and today (June 11, 2018) now refuses to freeze anything. It runs constantly but will not freeze even though its set to deep freeze. Called for a repair which is coming tomorrow so Ill see how this plays out. Probably a nightmare. In addition and while dealing with the freezer our Whirlpool refrigerator has now also died at 9 years. Again doesnt this seem a bit short? So right now we have no freezer and no fridge and it’s going to take days to figure out what the next move is... replace??? So who pays for all the food product we have lost?? I’m absolutely disgusted with Whirlpool products. In communicating with Whirlpool their attitude was lack-lustre. It goes through a process that takes days to complete and weeks to get a replacement if they even agree to do that. In the meantime we have lost hundreds of dollars in food and no-one cares. Never again will I buy Whirlpool.

Purchased a brand new PTAC for my apartment. Unit was professionally installed and vibrates so bad it rattles the grates inside the window the unit is mounted under. The unit is less the 30 days old and Amana claims I will have to pay for the diagnostics and labor to fix or replace the unit. Their claim is the unit cannot be returned after it is installed. The warranty is worthless if you get a defective unit, and you will be paying something to have it repaired when it breaks or if it even works correctly after installed.

Our new Amana furnace is so quiet and efficient! We love it. We aren't nervous to enter the long winter months. We know we will be warm and comfortable until spring.

We bought an Amana Dishwasher (division of Whirlpool) Model ADB1400PYW in March of 2014. This is just to let consumers know that they should check to make sure new parts are in a new appliance. In February of 2016 we had to replace the control panel board because it was not completing a full cycle and the Clean Light would blink. We did the troubleshooting first before calling our repairman. When he removed the old control board he noticed something odd. He showed me and my husband a little sticker on the part. It said RECONDITIONED. Why was a reconditioned part in a new appliance? No wonder it broke down after not even two years of use. I called Whirlpool and they had no explanation and of course could not offer me any reimbursement because we put a replacement in. Whatever. So beware when buying an Amana appliance or any Whirlpool for that matter.

Since day one this piece of junk that they call a stove has never worked properly. The door for the oven continues to fall off. Ive watched I dont know how many how-to videos. None of it helps you. Talk to Amana. Its out of warranty even though I just bought it from the store not even 6 months ago. I would never buy anything from this company again.

The lint trap was not working. It’s the water levels were not filling up. Another hot water is this going into the machine and don’t know why. It’s only four months old and I think our guarantee is over.

Im generally pleased with my Amana products. However, Ive had an Amana refrigerator for a number of years and the crossbar which supports the vegetable crispers is constantly breaking. Ive recently replaced it for the fourth or fifth time, at a cost of approximately $70. a clip. It just broke again six months since I last replaced it! Bought an electric dryer, model #NED4655EW on 11/22/18. It was delivered on 11/27/18. Used it on 11/28/18. Went to use it on 12/4/18 and it wouldnt dry. Called company and they stated it was past the 48 hr window for return and they would have to send a technician out to service it. I stated to them that I had used it only once and it should fall under the lemon law. Will never purchase another Amana product. Brand new but already needing service after one week. So everyone please know that Amana sells junk!!!

Amana Gas Range AGR5630BDS - We purchased this range from Home Depot and took delivery in Dec 2014. In October 2016 the oven began to shut down after about 30 minutes cooking time and an F2 code showed in the display. Weve had the service tech here 3 times. An oven temp sensor was replaced but the problem was not solved. We then replaced the top ECR module and still the problem exists. Now however when the oven shuts down there is a spewing of natural gas and we have to manually shut the oven off and throw open a window. We are stuck with a stove that wont work and is unsafe, and we are out of about $300 over the price of the stove. We cannot sell it and are hard pressed to afford a new stove. We called Amana and they had a so what attitude. I know that we will never buy any Amana/Whirlpool product again.

In September of 2009, I purchased an Amana refrigerator, model # AFD2535DEB Serial # KY287062. In September of 2011, the crisper draw center rail broke. The draws were not overloaded. We are a two-person adult home with perhaps a daily draw usage. I replaced it with the appropriate part on September 11, 2011. On November 5, 2011, the replacement rail broke in less than two months. The draws were not overloaded. I purchased my first replacement from Appliance Parts Pros. The current one was ordered from a link directly from the Amana web page. On 3/3/12, it has broken again. Each time, this has to be replaced, it cost $25. According to other reports, Amana is not covering the replacement. Are we to believe we must spend $100 a year for the life of the fridge?

The fridge is new & set at recommended settings. Things in fridge froze. The temperature control indicates cold on BOTH ends instead of colder on one end thus it is not clear how to adjust it up or down!!! Even the Amana chat told me to turn it down but could not indicate which way until completing a long chat!!!!

Best bang for your buck? We have had it for 6 months and so far have had no problems and is actually huge inside and fits a lot of dishes. I do recommend the drying agent. It does work wonders. Dishes are dry without water spots.

Sometimes the fridge section freezes foods, sometimes it is not cool enough. Odors tend to stay in the fridge and linger indefinitely. Parts of the veggie drawers have broken off over time. I do love that it is a side by side, and will buy another like it. I wont buy an Amana again.

Amana freezer (AQF2013TEW03) - I purchased a 20 Cu Ft upright freezer in February 2011. I had a repairman here in March 2011 because I could see light around the outside, right side of the seal. Because the light was on continuously, it kept the inside warm therefore, the freezer ran nonstop for 6 weeks. Now, the inside keeps frosting up on the top. Because it is no longer in warranty, I called a different repair company. The person who came out said that the whole inside of the door is falling part, defective mold and its sagging. The seal at the top of the door is not straight across nor never was. Because the inside door is sagging, the seal was and is continuing to sag. I called customer service for the third time today. They said because it is out of warranty, they wont do anything about it. I told them its been a problem since I bought it and they said that I should have told them within 90 days of the first repair that it wasnt correct. How was I supposed to know that the door/seal werent made like that since I bought it new? They told me Id have to purchase a new door for $403.44 plus tax and shipping. They kept bringing up the no warranty and that it would be fixed if Id have had an extended warranty. I was not offered an extended warranty when we purchased it (which I told them) and they said I should have gotten a postcard reminding me that the warranty period was up soon. I never received the card and and their customer service department doesnt believe me. This is terrible customer service and they dont stand behind their product. Four months out of warranty and Im stuck with a very large boat anchor. Their customer service is awful to say the least. The supervisor is just as bad and they dont give a crap about anything. I will never purchase another Amana/Whirlpool product.

I get the best price i love my dryer... This is my first time i buy in this store i love it.
