After 2 years of excessive repairs on our original DCS stove that we bought
After 2 years of excessive repairs on our original DCS stove that we bought with the home we decided to end the misery and buy a new one. Well 3 months after buying this beautiful new 48 inch gas range it too turns out to be of poor quality. The large oven failed to work. This is the same kind of failure on my old stove. It took 3 weeks later the service tech came out to fix it after many calls and escalations! Well he was to come from 1-3 pm, he came at 8 PM! And was shocked to see the stove, he was unable to move the stove much less fix it! Well after 2 hours of pulling my new stove apart and struggling to put it back he left with a promise to come back. I called the company and sure no one answered. The distributor was even more evasive. The owner of the store I bought the stove, refused to talk to me. Today being July 4th, we still are unable to cook in the oven and I have no clue when the stove will be fixed.

I bought a Fisher and Paykel refrigerator. It was one of the few fridges that had the right size dimensions to fit in my kitchen. In terms of performance, there are some good things about it and there are some things I’ve been disappointed about it. I like the quality of the shelving, that it’s glass and that there’s metal on the doors. The fan inside the refrigerator is a little loud, that’s one of my complaints. The other complaint is that it doesn’t make very much place and I wish the freezer was a little larger. It’s kind of funny, sort of V shaped. Because of that, it doesnt hold as much as it could than if it was more like a traditional square shape. This F&P refrigerator did not meet my expectations considering the price.

I purchased a washer and dryer set on 9/17/08 with some life insurance money that was left to me by my father. The sales person stated that there was a 2-year warranty. I figured that if anything happens to a $1700 set in two years, the company/item is not any good. Well, close to that time I never received anything about maybe purchasing an extended warranty (as Sears always calls). Now on 9/27/11, my washer began to not wash. A little water began leaking from the front of the washer (underneath). I didnt think much of it as I work 60 hours a week and did not have time to call. But now the motor control in the display area is fried. And the people that Fisher Paykel recommended charged me $80 to come out (mind you, they never stated that the service call was that much) and tell me that it was gonna cost me another $485 for a $950+ washer. I thought, Um, no thanks. So I pulled apart and all I need is that part. I cannot find it anywhere other than the Fisher Paykel website and it is a $182+ rip-off! I will not purchase another Fisher Paykel item even if they are discounted to $1.

Consumers be warned. Do not waste your money on Fisher Paykel products (DCS). Remodeled kitchen went with all Fisher Paykel products. Experienced product failure with the Dish Drawer and FP refused to replace the manufactured parts that were faulty saying the product was out of warranty. I pushed back stating if the failed items were due to misuse or normal wear and tear, I would agree but these were parts that failed due to poor manufacturing. Coated parts that broke down and rusted out. FP did not care. Then experienced problems with the motor on one of the dish drawer. Tech came out twice and the second time the unit worked worst when he left, telling us the noise level was normal. Normal? It didnt sound like that when he got there, and it didnt sound like that when we first installed it. Experienced problems with the double ovens. Used the self-cleaning function four times and the broiler coil burned out. The tech replaced the broiler coil and then told us not to use the self-cleaning function because the broil coils will burn out again. Told us to use an oven cleaner, which FP instruction manual says not to. Experienced problem with the cooktop. Followed the instructions for cleaning. Then the igniters stopped working, or when you turned on one, a different one would attempt to ignite. Tech came in told us not to follow the recommended cleaning process. Told us to use simple cleaner and soft sponge. Cooktop looks like crap now. Experienced problems with noisy microwave. Too disgusted to bother calling for repair. Do not waste your time or money. FP will not support you and will look for any reason or ways to get out of spending their money to make things right when you likely as I did, spent big bucks to purchase their product.

We purchased the Fisher and Paykel EcoSmart Washer and Dryer set from Lowe’s in November of 2008. Last year, I had a problem with the dryer drying the clothes. After two weeks, the repairman finally arrived and fixed the problem within 10 minutes by flipping the safety switch. I wish someone would’ve just told me what to do to fix the problem. Now, I have had no problems with either since then and I love my washer and dryer. Tonight, I went to take the clothes out of the dryer and notice water on the top rim and dripping down the front of the outside drum. I’m wondering if this is a problem thats an easy fix, like my dryer was, or will it be necessary for me to wait possibly two weeks for a repairman to come see about it. My husband is in Afghanistan working and I have three kids, if that lets you know how bad I need my washer. Thank you and I look forward to your response.

A girlfriend of mine had the two drawer dishwasher that she bought about 5 years ago and I just loved that. So when we went to remodel our kitchen, we put in Fisher & Paykel dishwasher. We also have the DCS stove and microwave or cooktop, microwave & oven. All of our appliances are Fisher & Paykel. Everything was good until just recently when we were not too happy. We had to wait 3 weeks to get a part for our oven that stopped working and its only 6 months old... We like the actual appliances. Its just the fact that its so long to get any kind of parts in and then we had also paid for the extended warranty on them so we paid quite a bit extra just to have them and then had to deal with waiting.

I got a washer and dryer by Fisher & Paykel. I went to Fletcher’s Appliance here in Nashua and I have a good friend. He was a repairman there for the company. And one day, we were looking at different things and I asked him what he thought. He told me Fisher & Paykel is one of the best. He says they have no transmission and explained different things about the machine. He also said that a nursing home had one for 13 years and they just finally got it repaired. And I liked the features of it. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the dryer door. The way it opens. I think it’s kind of old-fashioned. The newer ones fold down so that you can use the door if you need to set a pair of socks or something on it. I’m partially handicapped so I sit on a chair to do the laundry. I was hoping to go on and put my chair there. But other than that, the machines are fantastic. They run great. I’ve had no big problems so far with them in the short time I’ve had them. I’d say they’re wonderful. It’s funny the guy that delivered it couldn’t get the washer to work to pump the water out. And he left and my older son went down and one, two, three, he made it work. Otherwise, they would have sent out a repairman for the first day that it was delivered. And I said to myself, “This is crazy. I bought a brand new machine and now I need a repairman? This is just isn’t working out so good.” But it was just something that they messed up on.

We purchased the refrigerator on July 2, 2013. Fisher Paykel seems to be one of the few manufacturers with boxes narrower than 35. Today is July 6, all is set up. Its been running for 3 days. However, the cold water dispenser is not dispensing ice water. The water is at 62.5 degrees Fahrenheit. That is the same temperature of the water from the tap. We have well water which comes out at 62.5 degrees Fahrenheit. So the water is not being chilled. I may as well drink from the tap. How do you get this water colder? It wasnt necessary for us to purchase this model if the cold water dispenser doesnt chill the water. What is the design rate of ice cube production?

I had a Fisher & Paykel drawer dishwasher, and when we upgraded our kitchen the theme was steel. We just went with the same brand because we really liked it. I liked the style and the refrigerator seemed to have the most room inside it for a counter-depth refrigerator. I had a counter-depth fridge before and you couldnt get anything in it. It was ridiculous. This one just seems to have a lot more room because the water and stuff are not bulky in the door unlike other refrigerators. The Fisher appliances are nice, with clean lines. We dont need all the bells and whistles. I just want things with space that are clean and seem to work really well. I love the gas range. It seems to have lots of space inside the oven. I enjoy the appliances. Im pleasantly surprised with them.

I purchased a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher in 2001 because I thought that the two drawers would be great since there are just two of us at home. Directly out of the box, this dishwasher had a dented stainless steel panel on one of the drawers. The water sensor was defective in the other, which caused noisy alarms and error messages. It only got better from there. Both drawers seals were defective and replaced multiple times in the first year. When the seal again caused alarms to go off after the warranty, the bill was over $150.00 each time this happened. These drawers were lemons from the start and should have been replaced. I have not used the machine for eight years. My husband and I do our dishes by hand. However, my current horror with this product is that now, to add insult to injury, the two drawers take turns in making beeping and/or clicking noises and the lights flash. This leads us to turn off the circuit breaker. Since my trash compactor is also on that circuit, I am unable to use everything in the kitchen that is also on that circuit--unless I go to the basement and turn on the breaker. This product is not worth the effort of purchasing. After the first year of keeping the machine running, I was told that the changes were made to the drawers that improved the quality and reliability. This purchase has been a horrible experience and I would never recommend this product to a friend. Just the thought of paying another $1,800.00 to some company for a machine to wash my dishes gives me pause to say the least. I am extremely disappointed in every aspect of this product. Certainly, the design, workmanship, quality control, value and servicing have failed to meet its intended purpose.

I bought my Fisher-Paykel dishwasher in 1/09. It worked fine for a few months, but started beeping and would stop running. I contacted Fisher-Paykel and they recommended I use the dishwasher cleaner, which I did. It ran fine for a while but again started beeping. This time I contacted Jeffers-McGill in Columbia, where I bought the dishwasher. They were very unconcerned and gave me the name of a repair company. I have had 2 technicians come, neither seemed to know how to fix it, and after paying $132, I still dont have a dishwasher that is running correctly. One of the technicians indicated it had been installed wrong. I have now spent over $200 for a $1,000 machine, and still dont have a dishwasher I can depend on. In fact, the 1st dishwasher I bought from Jeffers-McGill started giving me problems after only 2 years, at which time I bought the Fisher-Paykel. I will never buy another appliance from Jeffers-McGill, nor will my family, former good customers of theirs. What do I do now? I am very upset about spending so much money on an elite appliance that is not living up to its reputation.

Took months to get appliances and now it is taking months to fix my 5 year old dishwasher. Paid over $2200. A dishwasher this expensive should last longer than 5 years when it is kept well by owners. Both drawers dont work even though only one is broken. Their suggested repair guy said that the circuit boards used to be separate now there is one for both machines, so if one goes, they both go. Neither he nor I were impressed. After 2 months of waiting for part I called to complain and after an hour on hold was put through to customer service, who were supposed to call me back. I did receive a call that day, but could not hear person, I told them and asked them to call back. You guessed it! Have not heard back from this crappy company. Love, love, love my dishwasher drawers, even though it doesnt clean well consistently. Just nice having two dishwashers. If I could find another company that makes them I would switch. This is not a good company. Plus, my oven is so small, my pizza pan would not fit in this oven and the fridge dints terribly. Do not buy this brand. Go with KitchenAid. Maytag dishwashers suck too. My nice, working KitchenAid dishwasher is sitting in basement. But its white, so doesnt match. But I never had a problem with my KitchenAid fridge or dishwasher. Kenmore oven died, thats why I replaced everything. Wrong choice...

The power of the internet - I would have never guessed that the internet co
The power of the internet - I would have never guessed that the internet could change the result of a bad experience to a good one, as this was my first experience in writing a complaint online. On July 19, 2012, I wrote a complaint regarding a Fisher & Paykel washing machine I purchased just two years ago and how I had ongoing problems with the machine, starting at about the fifth month. I called the service company twice while under warranty and they were unable to figure out what was wrong with the machine. I have since learned that it was because the company that Sears uses was inexperienced with this product. I also called the Fisher & Paykel main office and unfortunately was turned away as my machine was no longer under warranty. I even tried to explain my experiences and how the service men were unable to repair it. So after two years of frustration with a non-functioning washing machine, we decided to purchase a 30-year old Speed Queen washing machine and take the newer Fisher & Paykel machine to the landfill. Before taking it to the landfill, I wrote my complaint on this website. That was July 19th. On August 3rd, much to my surprise, I received a generic response from Fisher & Paykel asking me to contact their Customer Service Manager. I called the phone number the next day, left a message and the manager called me back. Although she did not personally read my online complaint, she was genuinely concerned that I had a bad experience and wanted to make it right. She offered at their cost to have a local, experienced repair company come to my house to fix the machine. Within 5 minutes, the local repair company called me to set up an appointment. They came out, fixed the machine in 5 minutes with a $15 part. What?! Thats all it took, 5 minutes and a $15 part? How could the other repairmen not get this one right? The total repair, if I had to pay for this service call, would have cost approximately $165. The only reason we didnt take this route to begin with is because we already tried two repairmen and two years of frustration. So, we gave up and were cutting our losses. But now, I have a washing machine that is working flawlessly. Its amazing! Although I didnt get the service I expected from the company in the beginning, it goes to show that a bad experience could change into a good one when someone with authority wants to make it right. Thank you, Fisher & Paykel for coming through on this one. I hope to have this machine for many years to come.

After saving for a few years we purchased a DCS duel fuel range model Rds366ss. The stove was $5695, the vented hood was another $1295 and the back panel and shelf kit was another $395. Since purchased, the oven would heat higher than the required temp and after several tech visits with no results, we decided to live with it, adjusting the temp as we cooked. Then after a couple of years I had to repair all six of the spark igniters. Now after nine years, the stove has quit working altogether and after another tech visit we were told the oven thermostat had failed and needed a new one, part#210766. Calling DCS customer care for a replacement we were told the part was no longer available and there were no replacement parts for it. After checking many websites we found that the part was indeed obsolete with no substitute parts that would work in its place.Calling DCS back and speaking with a customer service tech we were told that maybe the part could be found used online. Another option was maybe we should consider buying another stove! Are you kidding me. After spending all this money on a stove we thought would last at least twenty years, were told we should think about buying a new stove after only nine years. We are so mad at ourselves for not researching this stove before purchasing it and now after reading nothing but negative reviews for the products made by Fisher-Paykel. We are stunned that a huge company like this can getaway with this consumer robbery. Wish there was some way to warn people about buying from this company and its total disregard for customer satisfaction.

Reading magazines like Bon Appétit, just going to stores and checking them out… I ended up buying a F&P DSC 305 Dual Fuel several years ago. It’s a a stove range. But then we moved and I wish I had taken it with me. But we moved again and I said, “That’s it, I’m getting another one.” My previous unit was very similar to what I have now. I bought it because of the quality last time and because the stove is a 5-burner and all of the burners, you can slide one from the other. Price was very good and certainly the BTU is where I want it to be, only this time the quality wasn’t as high. The oven wasn’t as hot as I would have liked it because the electric doesn’t get as hot as a gas would have. So it’s an excellent range, but a disappointing electric oven.

I had a side-by-side fridge removed and I only have so much space in my kitchen and nothing else would fit except Fisher Paykel (although later I found out that Whirlpool also has one this size). I really like the bottom of the unit as it is and couldn’t care less about the bottle chiller or the quick freeze or whatever that is and the water dispenser is also okay. However, how could they make a fridge without any place to put lunchmeat? There’s no deli drawer! Our two drawers, they’re not for lunchmeat; they’re for putting lettuce or whatever. There are two containers on the doors on the top that I’m using one for cheese and one for butter but nothing specific for lunchmeat or cheese. Also, my daughter said she doesn’t like that the doors don’t ever shut, which is true. I must close it, slam it every time. It’s really getting to be a pain. I do think that there is some way to raise the front of the fridge because every time I open the door, it tweets or whatever. It makes a chime that the door is not closed. Aside from that, I don’t know how I’m going to handle that distilling thing in the back (but apparently, that’s only like once or twice a year) and I don’t like that the ice cubes freeze together at times. And they do… I just have to throw them all out. One other thing I don’t like is that fingerprints show so much - they weren’t supposed to.But even though this fridge is from New Zealand and when I have questions I don’t understand them and they don’t understand me (lol), we’re satisfied with it and I think it’s a good instrument. I think perhaps I’m not technologically savvy. If I were more into that, maybe I’d find more efficient use of it than I am.

The reason we picked Fisher & Paykel refrigerator is because we have a built-in space and we had to have a certain width. This one came close. I could not find any other in the stores around here. I went to Lowes and asked them if they could order it and they said yes. Our Sub-Zero had gone completely out. Weve had it for about 30 year. I was used to the old one but I love this one. I love the interior and everything except for one thing. There is no meat tray in it. And my husband would like it if a jug of milk could fit into the door. When it was delivered it had marks on the door and I got in touch with Fisher & Paykel about it. They told me theyre going to send someone to redo the doors or give us new doors. These were blemishes and theyre getting it taken cared of.

We recently purchased a Fisher Paykel Double Dish drawer. It is extremely quiet even when both drawers are being washed at the same time. My wife enjoys the fact that she can use either one or both drawers and have clean dishes in one and put dirty dishes in the other drawer. She also likes that the dishwasher heats the water during the wash cycle. The dishes are clean at the end of the dishwashing cycle and come out clean without pre-cleaning. The drawers have good capacity. The only downside is that you have to be careful that you dont put any handle or dish above the top of the drawer as it could jam the drawer and make it impossible to open after the dish drawer is run (We have never had this happen, just a precaution). I would definitely recommend this to others.

My F&P washing machine kept getting stuck and not draining. I had a repair come out and $380 fixed it. Six months later, same thing with machine not draining. I took to the internet and found out that the drain pump was likely plugged. I was able to fix it myself, which wasnt easy, turning machine on its side, pulling out the coin that was clogging the pump, etc. This happened four more times, me fixing it each time. Then the last time, there was nothing clogging it. Repairman said $400 to fix. I said, Forget you, and tossed the machine. Now I have an LG which I love. My F&P dryer is now squeaking and making a horrible noise. Its less than five years old. I refuse to put any more money into these pieces of junk, so unless me replacing the bearing myself works, it will also be joining the washer in appliance heaven (oops, maybe hell). FYI, customer service is also horrible and offers you no help once your warranty is up. Big surprise there.

We bought the Fisher Paykel dryer at Lowes after being told it was one of the best dryers on the market. Soon after, we had problems with the way it dried (not drying many loads) the control panel cracking and breaking and we couldnt even turn it on. Now it is making the squeaking noise which is probably the bearing. It is now out of warranty and to fix it I could invest in a better dryer than have to pay to have it fixed every year. The technician keeps saying to us as, “Well, that it is the vent, etc.” I had other dryers using the same vent for more than 20 years and they worked just fine until they were older than 10 years. Tonight is the third time that my washer has stopped working. It does not drain now and will not power on. This washer has been nothing but trouble since purchased. I regret ever getting rid of my old washer. It was dependable. I think this is a sub-standard product and after reading the reviews here, I see that I am not the only person that feels this way. You should not have to have service on such a new product as often as you do on this. I am in good mind to just junk it and go buy a cheap regular washer that I can depend on. I am very frustrated and I am telling everyone that I know to stay away from this product. I have called customer service and left messages, but so far I have not had a return call. The oven malfunctioned 2 months after purchase. We cook almost every day but use the oven less during the summer and had been out of town much of July so it was only used a few times before the malfunction. After 2 months, multiple service visits and calls to Fisher & Paykel, the unit was replaced under warranty. My impression is that it took considerable effort by myself, the warranty service provider, and the store I purchased the unit from to make any progress. (I never did hear from the rep who was supposed to contact me within 24-48 hour following calls to Fisher & Paykel). The two malfunctions came on days we were hosting dinner guests (naturally) and we are worried about it working for a family gathering at Thanksgiving.

When my wife remodeled our kitchen fully, we chose to purchase the DCS appliance by Fisher & Paykel. We have the 36-inch range top and had the used dual dishwasher. So far so good. I had to do one repair with the used dishwasher but that was no big deal. It works out fine. My wife loves the burner. They are so good that it used to take her 12 to 15 minutes to boil water and it only takes like 2 now. So I know she’s happy with that.

We have been the proud owner of a two-drawer for approximately 9 years. We liked the design so much we bought the dishwasher in another state and transported it to Florida of installation. We have turned a deaf ear on the fact that it is noisy due to the fact that we liked the convenience of it so much. Well, things have started to go wrong with the unit which include losing the backlighting on one of the displays, total breakdown of the plastic trim plates and failure of the drawers to drain. At times, the bottom drawer has in excess of one inch of water after completion of the cycle. The other day, I called the customer service number and spoke to a lovely young lady who attempted to address my concerns, took down all of my identifying information and advised me that she would attempt to obtain some sort of assistance for me toward the purchase of a new dishwasher. My wife and I agreed that based on the age of the unit, it is probably not worth the expense of having a repair person visit, diagnose the problem and obtain all the parts that would be needed to get it running and make it look good again. To my dismay, I called back today, provided all of my identifying information and learned that my call was not on file and therefore, nothing had been done on my issue. What a shame because even though these units do not get great reviews in the United States, my wife and I were willing to take another chance on a new one instead of buying a conventional one. We had had a pretty good experience with our unit and are just hoping we can get some assistance, as these dishwashers are very expensive. I would think that a company with the good reputation of Fisher and Paykel would want to ensure that their customers are satisfied for the life of the appliance. I am getting the feeling that they are really not interested in helping me at all!

I purchased an FP washer and dryer from Lowe’s on 12/26/2011 for a second home in Palm Springs. I used it once. When we returned in February 24th, 2012, the machine would not even turn on. It was scheduled for repair on next visit. It’s not very promising for reliability after literally one use for a load of towels. I plan to work with Lowe’s in April to determine a return/replacement. It’s very disappointing.

DEC27C and wL26CW1 - I have had a couple of problems with my units. However, two occasions they were covered by warranty (the washer). I just had a problem with my dryer. The bearing on the right side of the drum went bad. I called F&P and talked to the very nice rep who took my order for a new bearing assembly and sent it out to me UPS ground. The rep was kind enough to tell me that if I were handy, yes I could fix it myself and she was right. After the part arrived, it took about 15 to 20 minutes to repair. Wee, the dryer is back in service. My problem is the $250.00 of ruined clothing and the price of the part and shipping. I did contact a F&P authorized repair service, but the service is not what I would call great. When I called the tech and told him I thought it was the belt, he said It is not the belt; it is the bearing. You do what you know how to do and I will fix the dryers. That was a little insulting to say the least. He then told me the squeaking would not harm anything and I could continue to use the dryer, but it may spit out grease (hence the damaged clothes). Well, my wife used the dryer and ran a load of dressy whites and they came out with little spots all over them. So F&Ps authorized repair person gave me bad information. Live and learn. But as a whole, F&P on my dealings with them have been good. It is a shame that the face of F&P is who is giving them a bad name - the repair techs and their offices.

I booked a service with Fisher and Paykel for a repair of my dish drawers, purchased in 2017. The repair cost $334 and it broke 2 days later. When I phoned, the customer service representative hung up on me when I asked for a refund. When I called back, I was only offered a partial refund and I am still $118 out of pocket for a repair that lasted 2 days. The dishwasher cost over $1500 so I certainly expected better. Unfortunately this is not the first issue Ive had either. Beware.

I bought this washer (Fisher & Paykel Washing Machine) as a highly recommended low maintenance machine. At the least, I am dissatisfied; at the most, angry. I am retired and live on a fixed income. I did research myself as to possible causes of the constant drip of 6 inches of hot water into the tub and the low level screeching of the tub as it spins. As for repair, I was only able to find one resource for a possible part that caused the dripping. When I called, I was treated rudely and they refused to help me and stated Id have to pay a large fee just to have it diagnosed. So, I asked what the charge would be if it was found to need a hot water valve leaking and if the screeching was a bad bearing. I was told the bearings never go bad and that I didnt know anything. Then, the woman from the shop hung up! I love being treated badly! Your customer service is nasty and non-existent!

Our Fisher & Paykel Induction stove/Electric Range is apparently a dud.
Our Fisher & Paykel Induction stove/Electric Range is apparently a dud. It is less than 3 years old and so you would not think these sorts of things would happen. The oven began shutting itself off, during its use, for no apparent reason. Sometimes it would shut off within seconds, other times during a cycle and so there would not be any warning, I would just come around the corner and see the light flashing and know that it had shut itself off. F&P suggested I contact the nearest authorized service tech. I had to explain, to 3 different people, (even sent a map) that the person they were recommending was a 10 hour drive, with a 2 hour ferry ride.I finally found a local person who is willing to look at my range but only if he can obtain a service manual so he can look the product over first, before coming out. Fisher & Paykel say only authorized people can have a copy. This person is willing to fix my range and they wont let him. Now a new problem appeared today. I suddenly have 2 elements not operating. There is an error code coming up, on the 2 elements on the same side, even though I am only trying to turn 1 of them on. And, the kicker is, there is no such error code in their consumer manual that is displayed on my stovetop. I strongly recommend people stay away from Fisher & Paykel.

We have the drawer version of the dishwasher and I am unimpressed with the performance. I have experimented with different dishwasher soaps, loading methods, rinse/wash cycles but I simply cannot get my dishes clean. I have had an ancient dishwasher previously with no issues; switched to this brand and it leaves food particles on dishes, cloudiness on my glasses and grease sitting in the bottom of the unit. I wash the dishes off before putting them in, but no improvement. The wash cycle also takes over 2 hrs which is impractical for the smaller apartment unit that is designed to run frequently with small loads.

About 5 years ago we lost our house to a fire. We lost everything so had to purchase all new appliances. We purchased a 2-drawer dishwasher and fridge. After approx. 2 years the fridge quit and lost all our frozen content. To be fair the company paid for the repairs. Just recently the dishwasher keeps filling up with mold. Called a repairman and he said it would cost approx. 350.00 to repair the sensors which make the heat come on all the time-so the mold. Cant turn it off. Every time it is opened the heat comes on. The next day our fridge did the same thing as 2 years before..Again we again called Fisher Paykel on both occasion dishwasher and fridge. We were told that appliances have a 4-5 year life and the problem was ours. Both these appliances were very expensive and should have a longer life. I WOULD NOT PURCHASE THEM AGAIN NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THEM TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Fisher-Paykel has apparently spent the majority of their resources on engineers that design a product to last no more than 2 years. I purchased a VERY expensive Fisher-Paykel refrigerator, model number RF175WDRUX1 from Lowes in Lake Worth, Texas on January 17, 2013. In late November of 2014 the fridge stopped working. After reviewing the paperwork, I discovered that Fisher-Paykel offered a 5 year limited warranty.Called Lowes, they put me in contact with a repair facility, called Fisher-Paykel (super nice folks on the phone, but all good con-artists need a good front operation). It is now 6 weeks since my service call: Parts are still on backorder. THIS IS A SCAM MANUFACTURER. There is no excuse for a 6-week backorder in a day when I can order anything from China and have it on my doorstep within 3 days.As I write this, Lowes has me on permanent hold. So, my advice: DO NOT BUY FROM LOWES AND DO NOT BUY FISHER-PAYKEL PRODUCTS. The sad part is that no matter how nice or patient you are, you will not get any traction with Lowes or Fisher-Paykel unless and until you are prepared to file a Deceptive Trade Practices lawsuit.Fisher-Paykel is an insult to New Zealanders...they make products engineered to fail and engage in ongoing deceit on U.S. Consumers. Classic Deceptive Trade Practices by Fisher-Paykel. Texas consumers should avoid their products.

My mother had a F&P dishwasher and she loved it very much. Then I had a F&P refrigerator. So when I moved in to my new house that I bought, I decided to go with the Fisher & Paykel again because I really loved that refrigerator. I got the newer model basically the same as the one I had in my apartment.First of all, it’s stainless steel. It’s hard if you have a small kitchen but this one fits perfectly. I love the bottom freezer drawer, and the front of it is so sleek and shiny, very simple. There’s only one thing - it didn’t have the egg carton thing like the little egg rack. And I didn’t want an ice maker so I’m so glad it came without the ice maker. This was the only one that fits the bill. It’s really hard to find nice, counter-depth refrigerator that aren’t humongously wide so it’s absolutely perfect! I love looking at it. I am in love with my refrigerator.

I already had one of the F & P double-drawer dishwashers at our other house before we moved here and we gathered the whole kitchen here. I put a single-desk drawer on each side of the sink and then a regular storage drawer below so I don’t have to bend over. I chose the Fisher & Paykel appliance because I was fascinated by the concept of the desk drawers and design-wise, doing things a little different. And then when we downsized from a 6000 square foot home to a 3000 square foot home, my husband and I both said we wanted to get them again. So we went 90 miles away to get them. I have purchased all these items and they have all malfunctioned just when out of warranty. I believe this is deliberate. The cost of repair is prohibitive to the extent that I have not bothered with the fridge or dryer however the dishdrawer showed an error code saying to call for a technician. I did this only to find that it worked again when the technician came out. I was forced to pay the call out fee for this. Most recently I wanted a new cutlery basket - not of my model but for the most recent one. I called and thought I had ordered the part - what arrived was one piece out of three. I called again and said I had not received all the parts and explained what I needed. I was then sent the same part that I already had again! I then called back and explained the 2 parts (each different) that I needed. I was then sent 2 of the same parts. I then called again and was told they could not work out which part I needed. We agreed I would send a photo and they would call me back when they got the photo. I received no phone call and called back. I was then sent a diagram to look at which I did and I explained which part I needed. I said that my dish drawer was 7 years old and I wanted the basket that came with the new model. I was then told that the part in the photo clipped onto the side of the cutlery basket. I explained that it was actually inserted into the cutlery basket. The man angrily repeated that it clipped onto the side and told me that it was the part I already had and did not need. I said that if read my email he would see that it was actually the part I needed. He then asked me for the serial number of the dish drawer. I said it would not help as the part I wanted actually came with the new model. He repeated angrily that he needed the serial number. I said that it would not help as my serial number was for a seven-year-old model. I said I would like to speak to someone else as he was upsetting me. I was then put on hold for 10 minutes. I then hung up. I rang again and spoke to Customer Care. I explained what had happened and advised that I still needed the part. I was told I would be called back about it. After 3 days I called back to be told that there were notes on the record to say that I had been called back that morning and a message had been left to say that the part would not be provided to me. I was near my phone at the time and there definitely was no call as verified by my phones missed call record. Ive now called again and am on hold - at this stage its been 35:07 minutes... I paid AU $1800 for my dish drawers 7 years ago - hardly a cheap product. My advice to anyone is: dont ever buy this brand. The appliances are designed to break and the after sales customer service is extremely poor. I have been treated with utter disrespect for my time and a complete lack of care for my feelings.

I surprised my wife with a brand-new Fisher Paykel double-drawer dishwasher because I got tired of cleaning and servicing her old one. They are not inexpensive. Within one month, the start button receded into the chassis. The service person found that the lighted collar around the start button was made of cheap plastic and had simply broken making the machine inoperable. I would think for the amount of money that durn machine cost, they could afford to at least make the plastic parts durable enough to last more than a month.

Just bought a new Fisher refrigerator 6 months ago. I looked for a review in Consumer Reports but didnt find one. Let me save you the time: Noisy piece of crap that has equal service backing. Let me describe the 24 hour noise combination: constant gurgling, constant whirring, constant groaning, constant grinding. Refrigerator shuts off 10 minutes in 24 hours while set on the warmest setting. Customer service? The positive side - they answer the phone. The negative - you will never get anything resolved. Call backs are nonexistent. DO NOT ACCEPT it when they say they will call back, they will not. This holds true with regional service reps. I could go on for pages of my nightmare but I have already wasted hours upon hours pursuing a fix with no results. This piece of crap is going to the curb, sick of it and cant take the noise any longer. Im done.

The first time I heard about F&P was when we lived in Charlotte… Guess I heard it advertised. And then the company that we always did business with, Plaza Appliance, were the ones that started carrying them in Charlotte. Actually, our appliance repairman recommended them because he said they’re so easy to fix and dependable and everything and they really did turn out to be true…We had to shop for new appliances because when we moved out of Charlotte the people who bought our house wanted our appliances so we couldn’t take them with us and the first thing we bought from F&P was a washer in 2004 (almost 10 years old). Then in 2008 we purchased a dishwasher. It’s just a little bit different… I got the two-drawer dishwasher and the top drawer is a little deeper. They were equal on the other one we had. But oh, I love the drawers! I heard that they were actually making them for other high-end companies. But I don’t know if they’re still doing it, but when they first came out, I think they premiered the double drawer. Lastly, back in May, we bought a dryer because our old Kenmore after 39 years died. People didn’t think I’d get that out of a Fisher & Paykel, but you never know… I really didn’t consider buying anything else other than F&P since we’ve already had these for such a long time. As far as what I’ve had in the past, we tended to keep things a long, long time until they just died. So we absolutely love the washer and never had a minute’s trouble; the dishwasher was 5 years old and we never had a minute’s trouble. And so, hopefully, it will continue to be that way…

We bought a dual drawer Fisher & Paykel dishwasher in 2009 for a house that we were building. Due to problems with the builder, the dishwasher sat unpacked in a garage for a year. When it was finally installed, it didnt work! First, the bottom drawer didnt drain. We called a plumber to come look at it. He called the Fisher & Paykel appliance rep. They recommended that we install two separate drain lines. It still didnt drain. The appliance guy and plumber each came out again and we even tried a different plumber. Now the bottom drawer drains but the top one doesnt, which completely defeats the purpose of having a dual drawer dishwasher. We contacted Fisher and Paykel and Lowes where we purchased the appliance and neither would offer any assistance as the warranty had expired. We have only used the machine 20 times. I would not recommend anyone to buy your products, because I have been very disappointed with your products. I still say that I have a lemon and that I should have been given another one in the beginning. That is what happens when you buy a lemon automobile. When we moved into our new home in May of 2008, we had to leave behind our dryer. As wed had good luck with a Fisher & Paykel washer, we just assumed that a DE09 dryer would be a natural conclusion. What a mistake! It has been a lemon since the day we put it in the basement. It constantly turns off during a dry cycle and takes forever (when it decides to actually run) to dry a load of clothes. Were not talking a large load either. We are vigilant about keeping the vents cleaned out, even going so far as taking the tube from the wall and cleaning it out from both the outside vent and the inside vent. Nothing does any good. It still shuts off randomly at will. I can guarantee that my next dryer purchase, as soon as it can happen, wont be a Fisher & Paykel. Id have better luck just tossing the clothes on the driveway and hoping the sun does the job.

I love the fridge. We just bought it and I would have another one in a New York minute. But our fridge is having a problem and were hoping to get it fixed. The problem is that my crispers below are not meeting the thing on the top that closes them off. Weve gone to the people we bought it from. They came here to look at it, they forgot about it again, they came back again, now theyre coming tomorrow, hopefully to fix it. And I hope they can because I have lost a lot of veggies and stuff. Other than that this is an amazing fridge, the rest is great, its very, very quiet. I dont have to worry about hearing it. The ice cubes are pure and clean and nice. Its just great and it looks fantastic in my kitchen. It’s a counter sunk so it fits so well. It’s a good fridge.

A Fisher and Paykel technician came to my home to replace rear wheels of my refrigerator. Somehow he broke the coolant chamber that released gas and liquid anti freeze. He became irate loudly swearing. He informed me that my refrigerator would be replaced. That was on Tuesday the 23 June. I have not received a replacement and have been told that I would be paid what I paid for the refrigerator when the damaged one is picked up. I am a senior citizen with limited income and cannot afford to pay what it now cost. I feel that I am made to suffer for the technicians incompetence. I need someone to advocate for me please.

I was washing a load of laundry, I went down to throw them in the dryer. When I lifted the washer lid, there was a burnt smell! I lifted up to look under the washer to see the pump wet and on closer look, burnt! There is no power to the machine now. I called customer service to let them know Ive called around and found tech to fix it. He told me to call them to get authorization and the customer service agent told me, I dont know why youre calling us. I called the service tech back, now I have to pay for parts and service call on a machine that is only 2 years old! After looking up this washer and all the complaints on this company, I will never purchase this brand again!

My fridge became faulty and I called a Fisher & Paykel (F&P) technician. He recommended that I replace the fridge and gave me a voucher that entitled me to a Loyalty Bonus if I chose the same brand again. I did and submitted my claim for A $50 Gift Card which I was to receive within 48 days. When I did not receive it I contacted F&P who advised that they had already sent it, by ordinary mail. I requested F&P to send me another but they did not accept responsibility for the loss as the Gift Card had been redeemed by somebody. It was their decision (based on their internal policy) to send a Gift Card (which is just as good as Cash) by ordinary mail. Note that postage costs $1 for ordinary and $4.80 for registered mail. I am amazed that an established organization such as F&P acknowledges that they are aware of some issues in recent times where mail has been stolen out of mailboxes but continues to take risks with Gift Cards. They do so knowing very well that it will not be cost-effective for a customer to make a formal claim in a tribunal or court. So when mail gets stolen or lost F&P does not take any responsibility. I have decided that going forward I will not give F&P a single dollar in business because I do not deal with those who are more focused on playing the blame game. F&P may have saved $3.80 in postage but has lost a customer, bought themselves adverse publicity and jeopardised future sales. Good luck to them!

We bought a brand new Fisher Paykel dryer at Lowes. When we went to hook it up, it did not heat. When we called Fisher Paykel, they said it was no longer under warranty because it was manufactured in 2007. Lowes would not stand behind it either. When I tried to get a service person to look at it, everyone told us they would not work on Fisher Paykel products. Now, I have a brand new dryer that doesnt heat and cannot get repaired. Would never buy an F&P product again and would recommend others to think twice before purchasing one.

All the indicator lights were off. The outside of the heating element inside the drum was so hot to the touch it almost burned me. The exterior of the dryer was very very very hot particularly on the backside of the heating element. Fisher and Paykel offered to send a technician at my expense. I purchased a Fisher Paykel dishwasher 6 months ago. I took out a store credit card and paid it off in 6 mo. The last time I turned the dishwasher on it started flashing and did not work, and then turned completely shut off, never to turn on again. I am not on week 7 -without a working dishwasher, I have spent countless hours calling fisher Paykel, at first they sent a repairman out asap, only because they tried to say it would take 1 week, I said that was unacceptable - he came the next day, only to tell me that he needed a part, came back 1 week later. My husband called me and told me the dishwasher could not be fixed and that it would need to be replaced. One week went by, I called the customer service number, on hold for 40 minutes. I was told the new dishwasher request had been denied. It took hours to get the supervisor Richard to call me back. He said he did not know why it had been denied, though I was told he was the person who denied it and he said that he would order me a new dishwasher, that he was a consumer and understood how things went wrong in this day and age. A few days later I heard from the appliance store where I bought the dishwasher and was told it would take 1-2 weeks. It has now been over 2 weeks, so I called this morning, on hold for 40 minutes, spoke w/ Cindy. She said I would be updated today. I called Richard 2 days prior and left him a message the next day too, never returned my call. Today he called me, I missed his call, emailed me he was in meetings and unreachable. Did not hear from Fisher Paykel, so I called the appliance store. They told me Fisher Paykel said the dishwasher was sent to be there on July 23. Today is July 28, and it is not there. We have a problem, not like Fisher Paykel has noticed. I called Fisher Paykel around 4pm, got through immediately, spoke w/ Cindy. She said that I was not speaking to her in a nice way. I explained how frustrating it has been dealing w/ her company and nobody follows through. She said she was going to follow up w/ Richard and get back to me. Never heard from her. This is has been a horrible experience - I have wasted countless hours on this issue. I am still without a dishwasher and am shocked at the horrible customer service. This is a very expensive appliance. I expected so much more. This is the 3rd dishwasher in 17years, all Fisher Paykel dishwashers that I have replaced. I should have learned my lesson.

About a month ago I purchased a double wall oven made by Fisher & Paykel. I was a little worried by the reviews I read, but I know that more people who are unhappy with their purchases tend to write reviews because they want to air their grievance. I love my FP ovens. They work perfectly. They have about 10 different settings depending on the type of food you are cooking. The ovens work perfectly. They hold the correct temperature and everything I have made in them has come out perfectly. I love that the shelves move in and out at the gentlest touch. No struggle to get heavy pans in and out of this oven. The only thing I havent tried is the cleaning cycle. That was the problem with my Thermador ovens. The high heat of the cleaning cycle burned out the circuit boards---three times. No more Thermador for me. So far I am a happy baker.

I did so, and continued to have the same issues. After going back and forth, Fisher Paykel said there was nothing more they could do. They didnt even send out one of their techs to look at it. I saw a Fisher & Paykel commercial about the type of dish washer that I wanted and from what I understand, theyre pretty much the only ones the make those now, the drawer ones. So when my refrigerator quit working, I decided to buy one although it was much more expensive but it had the drawer option that I wanted. The company has been very good so far. As far as I know, I dealt with just the company that I bought it from in the store, but as far as my happiness with the dishwasher, Im not really pleased. To begin with, we had the one that I ordered and laid for to be in stock and it was put in and for some reason it leaked immediately. Right after the delivery guy left, it started leaking, at least twice. Its been three times its flooded my kitchen floor, my hardwood floor. They called me that they were going to contact the company of Fisher & Paykel and find out if they were going to do anything about my floor, but I havent heard anything. Then they bought me a stainless steel one and put it in to replace the one that I ordered, which was a couple hundred dollars more and they didnt make me pay the extra money, which was nice. I have my dishwasher and I was happy. But since then, its only been less than a year and probably six months or so but the pieces inside where you stack the dishes are already breaking. I have to find another piece that I could put there so that I could get my dishes in there. Plus the fact that the chimes are so close together that you cant get anything in there except for a flat dish, unless you just take all of the things out and just have an open drawer. Our complaint is that nothing fits in them right and it doesnt clean as well as I thought they would. I thought they would be very good for what we spent on them. I put less and less in them just thinking itll get cleaner and cleaner because theyre in such a compact area. But they dont really seem to. And I follow all the rules on what they say to do and stuff but even so stuff is not as clean as I thought it would get. So I dont know what it is that keeps it from being clean, but I keep trying.

Fisher-Paykel washer, replaced the pump twice. Works great after more than 10 years. Price has gone up, I would look to other brands for a replacement though. This washer is easy to repair and very reliable. I have replaced the agitator once, about $100, did it myself. The design lends itself to easy repair by the owner. I would recommend the deep clean cycle with washing soda at least once per month for optimally clean clothes. Just program the clean cycle, dump in the washing soda and turn it on.

I heard of Fisher & Paykel from Lowe’s. I chose them because of the look and the size. I went with the French drawer refrigerator. It’s 20 cubic foot. I was remodeling the kitchen. I’m enjoying it so far. My favorite feature is that everything is right there in front of me when I open it up. I have one critique that I wish they would do better. When you have to open both doors to access the vegetable tray or the meat tray, it would be nice if you can open either one or the other door, if the drawers have been cut in half and you can open one door and take one half the tray.

Buyer beware. What a lemon. Or do they sell orchards full of lemons? I have had nothing but trouble from my Fisher Paykel fridge. No help from customer care. An automated machine would be more sympathetic. In July 2010, fridge overheated. The technician came and took 5 minutes to crimp brackets. Cost is $121. In February 2011. The fridge overheated. The technician came and took 5 minutes. Fan wire had separated and detached due to ice building up. Cost is $125. In November 2011, the fridge overheated. The technician came and the fridge was sent away for two weeks. I had new refrigeration unit put in and only three months later, in February 2012, the fridge overheated. The technician came and replaced fan. Cost is $125. I did ask for a different technician and was told I had to wait three weeks. How can anyone go without a fridge for three weeks? I purchased a Dish Drawer dishwasher for a kitchen remodel in 2008. I was lured by the fact there are two (2) independent washer units; one on top of the other which allowed flexibility in cleaning as well as potential addition kitchen utensil storage. Troubles began within the first 90-days. I have summoned kitchen appliance repair companies listed as authorized by Fisher Paykel numerous times with the last service attendant indicating there are serious design flaws with the appliance. At this date the following had been experienced: The bottom dishwasher unit is completely non-functional, the touch wash controls in the operating unit do not work correctly; and now are stuck in one washer cycle. I was informed by one of the techs that came out there is a design flaw that allows water to seep into the controls. For $1,500 for a dishwasher I would have expected more. What is more alarming is the sales rep when I bought the appliance indicated the manufacturer also made kidney dialysis machines. If this is the case (and my research indicates this is true) there are numerous fatalities if the quality of the dialysis machines is the same as the Dish Drawer. Do not under any circumstances purchase anything this Company makes. The quality is terrible!!!

This is the third F+P 2-drawer dishwasher we bought; two of them are in our rental flats in London, England. Both have been okay and the service in London was excellent. The one we have in Pennsylvania, I knew when it was problematic there would be no service. These hicks here dont even know what the brand name is.F+P New Zealand recommended two service companies. First, one guy never heard of the equipment but booked his in law to do the service. On the day of the service after waiting a week, the wife of the guy said he has the flu and must cancel. We have been down since Christmas day and its now the 9th of Jan. She didnt know when he could reschedule. The other one had an answering service and I left a message 10 days ago and again twice today, the 10th. The service leads you to a message that says leave your number which I did now 3 times. And if we want faster service, email them at a certain address which we did only to get a message that 10 days ago they changed their address to something else. Still no calls. This is hopeless and I do not recommend anyone to buy this unit in the US unless you are in the bigger cities where service companies are plentiful and they know the products. I loved the unit until I tried to get it serviced. I will never buy another and we own 46 properties.

I was told in the store that the Fisher & Paykel refrigerator was a very quiet model, but its not. Its noisy and I did have to call them because since I got it, I cant sleep at night. Its cycling continually and extremely loud, like a jet taking off. The technician came out and said that I didnt have much in my freezer and suggested putting in jugs of water. But since then, I do have a roommate who uses the freezer and its a bit quieter, but not as quiet as I thought it would be. I had been concerned that my old ref was not energy efficient and thats why I got rid of it and got this one and it seems to be functioning okay, but I dont know how much energy its saving me. I am disappointed with the noise and I check back at the store and they said well, the new appliances do cycle on and are sensitive to drops in temperature. This is a continung saga from my earlier complaint.OK, so I called in the service repair person recommended to my by F&P Customer Service. Now mind you I had absolutely no choice in the matter because, F&P would not allow me to talk to their service personnel unless I was an official appliance repair organization sanctioned by them. The dilemma is as follows: The washing machine was 4 years old and stopped in the middle of a wash cycle. The display panel was dead so I could not read any codes. I Call F&P for advise on how to diagnose the problem. They refused to let me talk to their service personnel. My background is 30 year in computer a EE degree and of those 30 years I spent 4 years fixing large mainframes. So I know a little about electronics, control board, electricity, motors etc. This did not matter to F&P, ok fair enough but why refuse me the option to solve my own problem at my own risk.In addition a new machine would cost me about $550. Now the price tag I was looking at to fix the machine was about $300 to $400 for parts and if you add in a repair person: $100 for diagnosis and then another $250 for labor your talking $700 tops for parts and labor on a machine that lasted only 4 years and cost me approx $500. If I could eliminate the middle man then I could get away with $200 to $300 parts only. Because F&P service would not talk to me I would have to eat the cost for both parts which I speculated could be the problem. They would consider both part and not be restock able. Oh if they had just talked to me.Cutting to the quick the repair person confirmed that the motor control board was bad and, now heres the gem, I also have a burned out pump. To diagnose the pump problem the repair person called F&P service and they instructed him to ohm out the pump. Now I could have done that. So the end result was I was looking at $280 for part and, $250 for labor. On top of that the repair person also offered to buy the machine if I decided to junk it and, buy a new one. So now let me ask you, is there a problem with his scenario. So I called F&P parts and they are shipping me the parts for a grand total of $210 and that includes, shipping. But, there still remains a problem. If I install the part I void the part warranty and if I have the repair person do this then it cost me $250 maybe more because now they loose the part markup. So my position is as follows should I pursue a legal option. F&P recommended the service person I called and had them come is for a cost to me of $100. He diagnosed the problem to be the motor control board and the pump, the latter being assisted by F&P service. If I install both parts, pump then motor control, dont want the pump blowing the motor control again and, the machine does not work, I will conclude the repair person did not meet their obligation and, either I will request a refund for poor service (i.e. I will chase them down using the AGs office first then, take them to small claims) or ask them to further diagnose the issue at no charge. Count on it I will be there when they come in. I know my way around electronics. As for F&P they need to think further about how to deal with product repair. Their customers are being fleeced and F&P is complicate. Now heres a bonus. The repair man told me that the reason the pump went bad, which burned out my motor control board, hmmmm, was because, I used liquid detergent. Yes folks take a look at your grocers shelves and tell me what sort of detergent is being promoted? Thats right, liquid. Appears that liquid detergent breaks down the motor seals. The repair person recommended we use powder. My wife had to search hard to find a powdered detergent. So folk your washer is doomed from day one. Now I dont make these machines but I was wondering if there could be a class action suit in here.Oh and by the way those dryer sheets you put in to make your clothes smell good. Well they can coat your dryer and start a fire and if you have small children well those same sheets will remove the fire retardant material from their clothes.

I purchased a 2 drawer Fisher Paykel dishwasher approximately 1 1/2 years ago. My contractors correctly installed the dishwasher and from the beginning, there were large pools of water at the bottom of the top drawer. Five service calls later and a call to (I use the term hesitantly) FPs customer service department, my dishwasher was supposedly fixed. Each time the repairman came, he found something he thought was causing the issue. When I spoke to customer service, they told me my contractors did not install the dishwasher correctly. I had my contractors come back to ensure they installed it correctly (this was confirmed by the repairman). Customer service refused to do anything for me (this was after waiting on hold for 45 minutes). My dishwasher no longer has pools of water on the bottom; however, the dishes are NEVER clean and I basically have to wash dishes by hand before putting them in the dishwasher. I called the appliance store where I purchased the dishwashers a number of months ago to again complain about the dishwasher. The salesman said he would follow up with FP. I again followed up with the salesman a few weeks later and again, nothing was done. I would never purchase a FP product again. I am now looking for a new dishwasher. The experience has been horrible and very frustrating. I would never recommend anyone purchase this product.

Phenomenal service from F&P - We purchased a F&P Ecosmart washing machine from Lowe’s in August 2008 at the salespersons behest. We didnt purchase the store warranty as our previous Amana washing machine lasted for 13 years. A few months before the 2-year manufacturers warranty expired, the washing machine stopped working. We contacted F&P and they quickly had it fixed at their expense with a pump replacement. Well, it happened again this week, only now its four years from date of purchase and we have no warranty. So last night, I was surfing the web about problems with these machines and came across this site. I thought wed just be stuck with a lemon since there are so many complaints, so we had resolved to just get rid of the machine and buy another brand instead of having anyone try to fix it. But in reviewing this site, I saw someone from F&P posting to every complaint, apologizing to the customer and giving a phone number to call. So I called the number last night and left a voicemail, not really expecting to hear from anyone. Well, someone from F&P (Lisette) called me back first thing this morning! And less than four hours after speaking with her, I am sitting here at home listening to the sound of my working washing machine again! She sent someone out at F&Ps expense. He replaced the defective pump with a newly designed pump that he assured me should last a very, very long time. He said we shouldnt have any more problems with it at all. So I am quite amazed at F&Ps quick and caring response! So even though we would do a lot more research before buying another F&P machine, I can personally testify that at least they stand behind the problems their machines have! Id like to think that an American company wouldve done the same, but something tells me otherwise. Thank you very much Lisette!
