The refrigerator from Viking was nice and I liked it but Im going through a little problem with it right now. When I pull the white bowl out where the ice is, it sticks and I tried to get someone to come out since last year but nobody has contacted me yet. Nevertheless, I love the price and the product.

The last one I had was a Viking Range. We had it for 18 years and it finally kept locking and wouldnt open so we couldnt keep it because it was really a nightmare. The company that sold me the oven at the store were responsive but they said they didnt service them. They gave me the numbers of some Viking dealers and nobody called me back. I kept contacting Viking directly and it took a long time. Finally I had to call the dealer back and say, “Look, you gotta help me here.” And they did. They found me somebody to service within the area. It was great but Viking itself is hard to access. They need to be more user-friendly. Getting treatment for the one that was broken and wouldn’t open was impossible. We got a new one because it was the only thing that fit into the space that we have on short notice because I was giving a party for about a hundred people. However, I wanted something that was easier to clean and the stove top is awkward to clean. Im getting to the point where I care less about aesthetics anymore but convenience.

This is the worst refrigerator on the market. In the 2.5 years we have owned the unit, we have had the following issues: handle broke off the ice drawer, handle broke off the vegetable crisper drawer, the hinge that keeps the door from hyper-extending has busted twice, the fan went bad, AND on top of that there is a faulty design with the circulation system that is supposed to circulate air from the freezer to the refrigerator -- it causes everything on the top shelf of the refrigerator to freeze, so we cant put anything on the top shelf (I talked to many Viking employees who admit they are aware of the problem and theres nothing they can do about it)! I just called customer service to plead for a new crisper drawer since our warranty just expired and it is clearly a faulty design. The handle is not secure on the drawers and breaks off very easily and they said, No, you will have to pay $213 PLUS shipping and handling for a new plastic drawer. The last refrigerator we owned cost $10,000 less and we didnt have a single problem in 10 years. Please dont buy a Viking refrigerator!

Aside from the Viking name, we purchased our range for the three-year warranty which was a really big thing. The sales people were very knowledgeable. The quality of the product is great and we are blown away by how much more power the Viking has compared to our previous gas stove. Were very satisfied.

We got a Viking refrigerator that was a brand new floor model even though I’m a die-hard Sub-Zero girl and I only like Sub-Zero. If I would have paid about $10,000, then I wouldn’t have been super thrilled. Then during delivery, we got a leaking seal on the freezer that we needed to deal with. But I haven’t dealt with that yet and I’m assuming that’s under warranty. Also, if they were gonna sell a $10,000 fridge, then they have to make sure that it has dual compressors where one gets the fridge and the freezer. So while I’m not super happy with the Viking, its overall quality of the refrigeration is good. My produce seems to keep not quite as long as the Sub-Zero but the Viking is better than a standard refrigerator one buys at Home Depot. The lighting is also very bright and good.

The first two years with the Viking refrigerator was a nightmare. They came out 10 times. First, it was the wheels. Then it was the compressor. Then it was the coils. Something happened when it was put in. The people were inexperienced or they manhandled it. We told them to give us a new one and quit repairing it. It went back to Ferguson and they got us a new one. The install went better but the second refrigerator had a problem with the cooling fan. It was noisy from the second they plugged it in. Eventually, we got someone out. There were four or five different trips to repair this second one and sure enough, it was the fan. After two years, two refrigerators and 15 visits, the Viking refrigerator is working like it should. Its a nice refrigerator, but we went through a lot of troubles. Between two refrigerators and the repair, every time they repair it, you gotta take all the food out and I probably got scuffs on the floor. We wont get Viking again. We paid four or five times as much purely because Viking has such a good reputation but the worst thing about our house was this refrigerator. It got so bad that we called the attorney general of Minnesota who stepped in on the case. Viking’s been very polite when we call them up. The problem is there are different groups to work with - my contractor, Vikings, Ferguson, the person who installs it and a different person who repairs it.

Weve already had three issues with the range. First, the wiring harness for the burners that they installed was wired backward so they came and fixed that. Then, the thermocouple in the oven was bad and it cycled way too frequently. It took a long time to get parts but its fixed. The third issue, which isnt resolved yet, is theres a warp in one of the panels. As the oven heats up, that warp kicks loose and we hear a bang. These issues should have been caught by decent quality control and they werent. But the oven works and I love it. I love how easy it is to clean and maintain and it cooks amazingly.

Our house came with Viking appliances. The refrigerator/freezer VCSB423SS started thawing food in the freezer. The Viking authorized repairman diagnosed the problem as a floating restriction and quoted us $4,000 to decontaminate each unit that uses freon (evaporator, heat expander, etc.). That amount is only for labor since the unit is still under the 12 year warranty. I cant believe it will cost $4,000!!! Can someone from Viking verify this amount?

We had Sub-Zero in our previous house and we were thinking about buying Sub-Zero again but Viking had a promotion, which was if you bought so many appliances, for every dollar over $10,000 that you spent, you get a 10% rebate. It pushed the cost in our favor so we got their unit. The first fridge that they sent had some damages on it and was making a loud noise. The damages were in the white parts on the inside of the unit, and it was something they could not repair. ApppliancesConnection.com, the place where I bought the unit, asked me to send pictures, and I did all that. Then, they sorted all that to the Viking rep. Viking made me an offer, but it was not a large enough discount to make me want and take it. I told them that if they want to make a more substantial financial offer, I would consider taking the damaged one. However, they never got back to me. I had to chase them down for weeks. I called again and again and they told me that the woman who was working on it doesnt do that anymore. Finally, I was like, “You know what, forget it, I’m not taking the offer. Just come out and replace it.” So they came out and took care of its replacement and the new one they sent has been fantastic. Overall, Im satisfied with my experience. Everything got handled pretty quickly and got fixed. However, if there was any way that Vikings could make a refrigerator that has filtered water, that would be a bonus. That was the only feature that we could not get in the Viking fridge and we really miss having it.

I bought an upgraded Viking gas oven with the highest quality cooktop/burners. I opted for this upgrade mainly for the burners and the self cleaning feature of the oven. The FIRST TIME the self cleaning feature was used, the oven door would not unlock! Evidently, the oven door locks when the self cleaning feature is activated to prevent a child from opening the door and getting burned. Makes sense (except any opening of the door while in use would result in burns). One would think that a distortion of a bi-metal plate would enable this locking feature. Viking, however, uses some electronic mechanism (some cheap piece of crap) which breaks down when exposed to heat! GENIUS! This mechanism evidently breaks down often and the Viking-recommended repair man suggested breaking the lock mechanism to enable opening of door rather than repairing since it would break again! HERES the KICKER -- THE SELF CLEANING FEATURE WILL NOT ENGAGE ever again because the self locking door is inoperable. PATHETIC. Viking should be ashamed of themselves. As in all these other reviews. Buyer beware. DO NOT BUY!!!!

For the love of God, do not spend your hard earned money on Viking applianc
For the love of God, do not spend your hard earned money on Viking appliances. I purchased an entire kitchen appliance set from an authorized dealer in 2009, spending about $20k. Within the first year of purchase, my top-of-the-line built-in fridge stopped working and it took them more than a week to repair and thank God it was under warranty. A couple of weeks ago, my dishwasher, which I have used maybe 20 times, stopped functioning. I called Viking and discovered that it only came with a 1-year warranty and that I was responsible for the labor portion. **, I spent almost 2 grand and you need to tell me that it only comes with a 2-year warranty. The following represents my email conversations with the Viking rep who basically doesnt give a ** about a customer who just 3 years ago gave them so much business:My first email to them: “Purchase Date: 08/05/09; Type of Appliance: Dishwasher; Model Number: VDB325SS. Dear Sir/Madam: Less than 3 years ago, I purchased an entire kitchen appliance set consisting of fridge, stove, hood, and dishwasher totaling close to $20k. However, I am writing to you today to express my dissatisfaction with the purchase of the dishwasher referenced above. While we have only used it about 20 times, I discovered that your company only warrants the parts for 3 years and not the labor portion. Consequently, I had to pay $305 in labor to repair the unit. To be specific, through Viking, I contacted Airflo in Van Nuys, CA, and their technician came out and upon inspection, he stated that, due to lack of frequent use, the circulation pump had gone bad. He said this was common for this type of model and to use the dishwasher at least once per week.”“The technician further stated that had I purchased the appliance just months later (early 2010), Viking would have covered both parts and labor for 3 years. Upon hearing that, I became extremely upset at the fact that here, I spent almost $2000 for a professional brand dishwasher that came only with a 1-year labor coverage which seems kind of unreasonable as this warranty is comparable to basic units costing $200. I honestly do not think I should be obligated to pay the $305 especially when months later, you decided to extend your coverage. In all fairness, taking into consideration the extraordinary circumstances, Viking should reimburse the labor charge which I paid. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon.”Their response: Im sorry for the issues you have encountered with your dishwasher. As far as the warranty, the changes to the Viking warranty were implemented on 05/01/11 not in 2010. Im sorry for the misinformation you have received. Your unit would have a full 1-year warranty from your purchase date. At the end of your warranty period, you would be responsible for the charges. Thank you.”My response: I believe my concern was not the exact date when Viking implemented the change in their warranty policy but rather your company selling a defective product, specifically, the circulation pump in my unit. It seems this is a bit too common issue based on my readings online and according to your Viking authorized repair technician statements. In fact it is so common, that the technician always carries around a couple of circulation pumps in the van when he goes out for service as more than likely, this model dishwashers stop working because of the circulation pump. In any instance, this is not a monetary issue for me, but rather a principle one. Also I dont appreciate the corporate response I received from you since as a customer, I think I deserve more. Thank you.As of yet, it has been more than one month and no response. Anyone considering purchasing Viking Appliances better think twice. This company, through its retailers, promise you the world but when you have any issues, they are nowhere to support or address your concerns. I am going to make sure that all my friends, family, co-workers, etc. know about their dirty tactics.

Installed Viking appliances in our brand new home and it didnt take long for problems to start. The dishwasher model #VD8200SS started leaking and not drying after the first wash. I had the unit serviced twice to finally find out the entire soap dispenser piece needed to be replaced. The unit stopped leaking, but still wont dry. The serviceman was dumbfounded. The unit began smelling and stopped working all together. The service discovered it needed a brand new drain pump. Drain pump installed and turns on, but it still smells and the washer still refuses to dry anything. Double oven model #VED01302TSS now makes humming noise while the unit is off. The serviceman went back out to the house and said it needs a transformer and advised me Viking ovens are pretty much a joke and suggested to not use the self-clean function. He said it only greases up the inside wires and gadgets, and is very expensive to replace after the warranty expires. Out of the 7 Viking appliances I currently have, the stove top and toaster are probably the only two which didnt see a lot of problems with. Dishwashers, stoves, fridge, beverage centers and microwaves - forget it. Viking is simply overpriced and a total joke. Viking, you can pretty much stick it. Ill never buy another Viking product and Ill pass along my experiences with Viking every chance I get. Dont buy this crap!

My stove had a manufacturing defect and failed to work properly from the outset. The oven would not hold a temperature and could not be calibrated. It took weeks and many, many phone calls and threats to get it repaired. After many requests and escalation to Viking customer relations, Viking finally agreed to send the necessary part by overnight mail. However, they did not make good on this promise. The part did not arrive for another week. We were exceedingly unhappy with the initial defect and with the very poor customer service. We are long-time Viking customers and would think hard before buying another Viking stove.

But unfortunately, even in the short time that I had it, we had problems with the oven and refrigerator. And the more I talked to people about it, the reputation has really turned bad like Viking is pretty poorly made now. Knowing what I know now, I would never buy a Viking again unless I hear that theyve really improved their quality. However, I like the refrigerators Dutch doors where its open on each side. In the last month (September 2018), I have had three door containers fall off the door and shatter on the floor when I opened the refrigerator. All three door containers broke about one week apart. In addition, my cold storage drawer handle broke (plastic). What is going on with these components? Has anyone else experienced failure. This refrigerator was purchased in 2012, along with five other stainless Viking appliances. No problems with them. Viking says there is no recall and my warranty has expired. I would expect other things to malfunction but not solid plastic pieces.

When we went to the store here, we were going to try and get a Viking stove. We had to get a Wolf. We were looking at a refrigerator, too, and when we saw the Viking refrigerator, we thought it looked cool, so we got it as well. It’s expensive and costs more than a regular refrigerator, but its nice. We like the look and the layout - the top and bottom with two doors on the top. It feels kind of solid, plus, we like the way it lights up on the inside when we open the door. We also like the dashboard in the inside of the door where we could look at all the different stuff we could do. Weve only had it a short time and so far, so good. We got a Sub-Zero in our other house and it’s comparable to that.

We chose Viking over Sub-Zero and Thermador because of the look. We bought a pretty cool one. It’s a cobalt blue color and the fridge is fine overall. But the ice maker didn’t work originally. It took somebody to finally come out and fix it. There was an issue with the light in the freezer too. It went off for no reason and then it came back on for no reason. But the dishwasher was really upsetting. It came with the fridge as a free giveaway but it didn’t work. I called Viking and complained about it. But two of the people that they had wouldn’t come out for over three weeks. After calling again, we were able to get somebody to come out relatively soon, within a week. They looked at all the units that needed fixing but they wouldn’t replace the dishwasher. They really didn’t stand by it. They said everything was working according to how it was supposed to be. But when we opened up the dishwasher, the dishes were soaking wet and cold. It never ran the detergent either. When you open up the dishwasher after full cycle, the detergent would still be physically in the door. If thats how it was meant to be, then that’s stupid. Why did they even make it? At the end of the day, we had to buy another brand even though it came for free. To get a decent dishwasher was another 900 bucks plus I had to go through the whole rigmarole of getting one.We bought a stovetop from them too but I had to buy a separate propane conversion kit. For the price that you pay, the little orifices that you attach to change the way the fuel comes in should just come with the unit. You shouldn’t have to go and buy a separate kit. It wasn’t terribly expensive but it was silly for them not to give that with the brand-new unit. It was a little confusing too. I got a plumber to come out but they couldn’t get it to work. I had to get a Viking technician to come out.

Viking was on sale and that led us to have a look at it. The construction of the range and the write-ups on it seemed generally good. Although, the one in Consumer Reports sucked and so it caused us to think about it. But I chose to ignore their relatively negative reports on the range. The sales representative was a very knowledgeable guy and took us through not only the Viking Ranges, but several of the other competitor ranges to look at the different features, trade-offs, and sort of helped with getting rid of some of the marketing stuff that doesnt matter as much as the functionality. We love it. Its been nice to use and cooks really well. The only thing that were having some trouble with is a piezo igniter on the front left. I was wondering what to do about that because it doesnt work very often at all. I might need to have somebody come, have a warranty look at it. But other than that, its fabulous. Weve had the Viking refrigerator since ’07 when we remodeled the kitchen.
Weve had the Viking refrigerator since ’07 when we remodeled the kitchen. Unfortunately, weve had a number of issues with the unit since we bought it. The compressor went out within the first three years and although it was covered, the hassle of having a refrigerator not working was not desirable. We also had something else similar go out that we had to cover labor on. Then we had an icemaker go out and it got replaced. Then back in July, it stopped refrigerating. We had a leak in a tube for the Freon. This tube system had a little pan that had water in it so it corroded and that was where it leaked. So we had a guy come in and do a repair on it. But that was only a temporary repair. In August, it failed again. We realized that the unit was still covered for parts although not for labor because it was a six-year parts and labor then a 12-year parts warranty. At that point, the refrigerator was just under 11 years. So we called about having the part covered but the guy that we had through that one repair that failed said the he couldnt submit that to the factory because he was not factory-authorized. So I looked up an authorized repair center which was located in Wisconsin, about 60 miles away from us. But we were told that at that point, our warranty was null and void because the repair was done by an unauthorized repair guy and he did something that the factory would not have authorized. When we contacted Viking, they confirmed that the repair that was done, which was putting a sealer into some Freon, was not really authorized and it could cause other parts to fail. I also talked to two technicians and when the customer service person came back, they offered us a different unit, a brand new unit, at a 25% discount. But it was still gonna be a lot of money. Plus the new unit did not have some of the features we had. It did not even have a water dispenser. Then I contacted this other repair guy. He said that he was pretty sure he knew what was wrong. He came back and fixed it, and its been working fine ever since. Hailey, from the unit factory, contacted us and she was a very nice person. My wife explained to her what had happened and that we were just gonna stay with what we had and see how it goes. So the refrigerator had four different repairs and the door ripped on it as well. There is no perfect but you would think some of these things would be more long-lasting than what they had been. The design is really poor unfortunately. While we like the unit, were disappointed with the quality of the high-end appliance that we paid a premium price for. We initially paid somewhere in the $5,000 range for it and the fact that it has gone out so many times is disappointing.

We are building a brand new house, so we went to the appliance store and they showed us all kinds of different options. I knew I wanted the 36-inch or I want it bigger and I want the more commercial-like because I like to cook and I like to bake. The Viking range is what the sales guy had and he showed us. We were interested in the dual because I know an oven is nicer to have electric for baking and stuff like that and the gas for the top. Its very nice. But weve had problems right from the get-go. We love the top, but the oven part is where we having all the issues. The installer noticed an issue with the fan being super loud whenever we run it on convection. He started the claim for us. The installer worked with the store that we bought the range from and was gonna have them come out and take a look at it. Weve had the guy out here twice and we still dont have it fixed. The guy said he was gonna order some parts and he would be back out. He came back out and he said it was not the right thing. He went back and we havent heard from him since.Weve had it since October so the known problems have been since then and we cant get anybody to fix it. We cant even get them now to return our calls. My husband tried to reach out to him a couple of times and havent gotten a callback. The range seems to run really hot. I keep burning stuff in it and Im kinda irritated. I purchased the range from a small store and everyone there was extremely friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very happy to show me all of the wonderful features. They were fantastic and made sure I was happy. I also love the range. Its the best stove. The burners go all the way down to a tiny steamer and thats one of my favorite features. I love the telescopic shelves in the oven, too. I have some back issues and with the way they pull out, its easier for me to get things in and out.

We just moved into a new house with a Viking refrigerator. This model has a pull-out freezer drawer on the bottom and today, when my daughter had a friend over, they opened the door to the refrigerator while the freezer drawer was ajar and the unit was so top and front heavy that it fell forward, nearly crushing both girls. Luckily, we have a kitchen island that is about 2 feet from the fridge that stopped its free fall. We only lost most of the contents of the refrigerator and spent an hour cleaning up broken glass and spilled food instead of rushing to the ER or calling 911. This isnt the first problem weve had with this fridge despite the fact that weve only had it for about a month. The freezer leaks almost constantly into an overflowing drip tray and is ruining the hardwood floor beneath it. After todays incident, I went to the basement to discover that water was pouring from the ceiling light fixture directly beneath the fridge. Ill be replacing this unit ASAP as Im afraid to let my children open the door by themselves.

Our cabinet maker thought that Viking was a good product and I bought my Viking appliances though him. I went to a mobile Viking showroom event and looked at all the Viking appliances for a new home. And if I did my whole kitchen in Viking, they would double the warranty. Instead of having the three-year warranty, it came with a six-year warranty. It was a great deal especially considering that Ive had to have them come out repeatedly to fix things that’s been wrong with the appliances. Apparently, the quality of Viking has gone down considerably in the last several years and I hadnt realized that. Ive got two refrigerators and the parts are just cheaply made. One of them was delivered totally damaged. The shelving does not stay in place. The drawers don’t function properly and the components bend too easily. The refrigerators are less than two years old and half of the parts in each one of them are bent, have totally fallen out or had to be replaced several times already. It’s very poor quality. When they installed the dishwasher, they didn’t put the bottom plate on the dishwasher correctly. Some of the parts have fallen out of it as well. They’ve also had to come out several times and fix the valves in the dishwasher. But the worst is the range, which has never functioned properly. It’s terrible considering I now have $40,000 worth of useless appliances in my home. The person that I contacted to get warranty service was extremely helpful and walked me through the process of getting everything registered. The problem was that they did not want to honor the double warranty on my appliances. Luckily, I had saved the original invoice and was able to forward it to them so that they could put into my record that it was covered for six years. Ive told everybody that Ive come in contact with to stay away from Viking, which is sad because my husband is a home builder. We could sell tons of Viking appliances. But we buy all of the appliances for the homes that we build from Ferguson here in Raleigh and they have quit carrying the Viking appliances because they have so many problems with them. Plus I will never have another thing that’s Viking in my home. It’s terrible. We’ve had problems with everything Viking.

I bought a refrigerator and I feel very good about it. The dishwasher which came with the refrigerator was kind of faulty so we had to change that off. Viking promised us when we bought them that there was a 10% cash back but we havent received that cash back yet. Also, my fridge got delivered in three months. It did not come at a reasonable time when it was supposed to come and it was difficult to chase anybody. Viking could be better in communicating things. Some of the shops I went to gave me heads up not to buy Viking as it will take months to get the fridge. I still wanted to go with Viking because I heard good things about it. We like the product quality and the product themselves for now.

It’s been the worst nightmare that I’ve ever experienced on an applianc
It’s been the worst nightmare that I’ve ever experienced on an appliance with this amount of money. I had a Hardwick oven when I bought my house in 1985. I replaced it because we couldn’t get parts with it, and I needed a whole kitchen. So I figured I’d buy really good high-end appliances. So I bought an Electrolux refrigerator and then a Bosch dishwasher. I got a Viking electric wall oven, convection microwave, and a range. I’ve had problems with the range coming in cosmetically. There were a lot of inherent little scratches, and they took care of that. I couldn’t get it to work as well. For some reason when you put it on convection bake, it shuts off. It’s got a mind of its own and this is a $5,000 appliance. Thank God I bought it from ABW because they’ve been wonderful to deal with. After a year and a half, I had every single part replaced three times including cosmetic parts. The other thing is every time they come in and they would take it apart, the repairman would inherently scratch the surface or would chip on the bottom because it’s porcelain-lined and has to take the bottom out. I also have to check and put my hand over the vent to see if the heat is going on and I shouldn’t have to do that. So I finally convinced them that it’s a lemon. Viking had their representative come out from another repair place because they didn’t believe that the people at ABW were handling it properly. The representative replaced the part and it still didn’t work, so Viking replaced the range. The second one was a little better. Then when I turned it on and off, I still have the same kind of issues but I can’t go through a repairman coming in my house for another two years. They need to fix it. It’s a damn oven and it doesn’t work on the convection bake cycle. I like the convection bake cycle, that’s why I bought it.I probably have the biggest file on them. What’s really bad is that I found out later from another guy who delivered that this Viking range has problems and they just wouldn’t admit it. There’s something wrong with it and its motherboard but I have no idea what it is and I need it to work. It only came with a one-year warranty, but they promised to give me a two-year warranty on the replacement because of the issues that I had with it, and I haven’t heard anything from Viking. I reported it to them because I thought it would be a learning experience. The other thing is the cooktop. We bought it because it has steel burners and a porcelain back top. I cook nothing but the condensation of the water. With the other top I had, it stained in two places when the condensation of the pot hit the water. It was a mess. But this one seems to be better. I haven’t had problems with the convection and I haven’t had operational problems with the electric, but this gas has been a huge disappointment. If it lasts how long it lasts, I will never buy another Viking product again. It’s like it’s possessed. It’s supposed to be high end and not a cheap appliance. I wish I had my 30-year-old Hardwick back. Otherwise, I’ve had no problems. It’s a beautiful-looking appliance. I would never recommend to a friend to buy a Viking. They’re coming on Friday and would be replacing the two cosmetic parts that were scratched upon delivery. I have to stay home from work again for them to come over. This has been going on for almost two years. I have my daughter who’s an attorney and I was going to sue them. They had two contractors who came out and two different companies who said that there’s nothing they can replace it with anymore. They replaced it, but it was a fight.

We bought a house that had a Viking stove installed by the contractor. We are happy with the stove. The range that we have, the stove unit and the hood, is fine. It lights when I turn the gas on and works good, but we were a little disappointed that our brand new Viking refrigerator had to be serviced within a year. Plus, we have a dishwasher that has never worked at all. There’s a warranty provided but its been a real disappointment. We’ve had much cheaper washer that performed ten times better than this one.

I went to Barry’s Appliance in Bridgewater, New Jersey, and they had all different brands on there. I liked the style of the Viking range. It looked nice. I thought it fit well in my kitchen that we had just put in. We got the hood, and it was very good. I like the convection oven a lot and the quality of the range is excellent. However, the door doesnt look like it closes all the way but they told me that’s ‘cause of the gasket that’s on it. It almost looks like it’s a little open on the side but they said that all the Viking Ranges are like that. There was also a problem with one of the gas jets when we first got it. There was a loose connection inside. They sent a repair guy down and took the whole stove apart. We tightened every connection in it. He was there for three or four hours and I haven’t had problems since. My experience with Vikings is great and I would recommend the Viking range.

Four years ago, we were redoing our kitchen and I saw the Viking refrigerator at the appliance store we were at. At the time, Viking seemed to have a better warranty. The Viking refrigerator is a good product and were pleased with its quality. It does a good job keeping things fresh longer than our previous refrigerator. It was a little difficult though to get the Viking reps on service when we had to get the refrigerator serviced, but they eventually got around to it. I had to wait over a week for an appointment. And then, they had to order a part which actually never came in. And so, after about six weeks, they ultimately replaced the refrigerator rather than try to find a part. They did the right thing in the end.

There were a couple other brands that we were looking at that had added features that we didn’t need. We chose Viking for the price and it was what we needed. I really like the pizza pocket thing in the refrigerator, which is really awesome. Its cool that I don’t have to rearrange my entire refrigerator for that. I also like the humidity-controlled drawers because we don’t keep meat in the house, so we have a lot of vegetables. They tend to stay better longer than in other refrigerators through that. It seems like Viking has really thought this product through. Stuart, probably the store owner or a manager, was really knowledgeable and was able to direct us. He was able to show us the things that make all the difference with the price tag between Viking and the other high-end or low-end products. His sales technique was really good and he was very respectful. The only thing that was a little irritating was for the price tag of the refrigerator, better communication should have come from him. We seemed like an afterthought once he got the money and we werent sure when the refrigerator was coming in or when it was going to be delivered. We expected a certain level of service and Stuart seemed like he dropped the ball after we paid him. I had to chase him down and lock in a date instead of him communicating with us. Other than that, everything else was really great and were really happy with our fridge. The delivery team was amazing and they were quick and very careful with our house and with our refrigerator. There was a little hiccup with the installation. The guy said they’ll troubleshoot it and see if they can make it work, and they did. People are really impressed when they come over and see that we have a Viking.

Weve only had the Viking Range for a couple of weeks. In another home in North Carolina, we’ve got a Wolf stove in there. The same company makes Wolf and Vikings but we wanted the Viking Range as it was the best fit for our kitchen in our new house. The dealer was great. On the day that we were supposed to get the range, they pulled the old one out and my husband realized that he had told them the wrong kind of gas fittings that we needed. The dealer, Cummins, told my husband that the one they had fittings on the floor, the one he had looked at, had actually the right ones. So they went ahead and connected that one instead. In the end, they were able to make sure were getting the right thing. So far, Ive been loving the Viking Range. Everything about it is great. I like the way the burners come off. It’s quiet and seamless. Its oven takes the “tsk, tsk, tsk’’ then winks a couple of seconds for it to come on. Everything’s instantaneous. The dials, the knobs and everything’s easy to figure out. Overall, the range is really well done.

We have a unit that has the freezer at the bottom and then the upper unit is the refrigeration unit. The double-door unit is really good. Its a definite upgrade from our previous refrigerator in our old home and definitely a lot cheaper and a lot bigger than our previous refrigerator unit.I had no issues with the dealer. But I noticed that after a year, we got invitations from the deputy on board or the integrated maintenance feature refrigerator to replace a water filter and air filter so I purchased those through the Viking website. We recently had it installed, and it was really easy to do. Viking has very well built quality products. In fact, we have the kitchen full of Viking products. We have a Viking gas stove range as well as a double-oven. Were very satisfied with all of the products.

We have had Viking Ranges since they pretty much came out. We are on our third Viking Range. When we remodeled our house, my husband wanted to get me something high quality because I’m a baker and I cook a lot. So we’ve researched and thats what came up. I like the way the Viking Range looks. We also renovate houses since the 80s and we always put a Viking Range in there. We flip higher end houses and people wanted Viking look or Wolf. We bought one Wolf and I hated the Wolf. I was like, Forget it. I don’t have to buy another Wolf. Weve bought plenty of Viking Ranges. The first one I had was a gas range and I loved it. And then we traded that for a dual fuel electric oven which I hated. The oven was much smaller and I couldnt fit all my baking pans. I couldnt even fit a turkey in it. I was really disappointed in that. It also started arching, spitting and shooting flames out the vent and the top. Wed called Viking to find out if there was any root cause. And they said not that they are aware of. So we ended up going through our insurance company in getting a new one. I got the Dual Fuel Viking Range. Its the four-burner. They did change the oven so its much bigger. Ive baked four cakes already with it and its only been a month. I wish they would have had one on the floor so I could have looked at it. But most people arent caring them because theyre so expensive. The people that I talked to at Viking have been very nice. But I wish we could have gotten more information about the other one that had started the fire. They didnt seem very interested and we still have that oven. They werent also going to take the oven so we figured we just hang on to it and see. Were thinking of making an outside kitchen and just tearing the oven apart and turning it into an outside stove. They also have people who came to hook a Viking Range up but hooked up the electric cord wrong. So then we didnt have an oven for a week cause it wouldnt work. Somebody came to fix it. They replaced the cord and took it right one on and that works great.

We have known for years that Viking a quality appliance, and we chose to go with them because of the name recognition. We also wanted a good quality product. However, there have been some hiccups. One of the refrigerator doors was damaged during the installation. It was installed a couple of weeks before we moved in, and that was when I notified them right away. They came to replace it in about three to four weeks after we moved in. And so, a new one was ordered, but the new one was worse than the one we had on, so we are still waiting on that. A couple of weeks back, I opened the refrigerator door and one of the parts, the locking mechanism to make sure that it does not open all the way broke off. I did not slam it open. It is like a cast metal part, so Im thinking that there had to be a crack or something in there. Fortunately, it is covered under warranty, but if it had not been, that would have been a very disappointing month and a half usage.I did my research, kind of on my own. We were to go through Builders Supply warehouse. Their prices were extremely marked up compared to what I could go get it from Pacific Sales. I had to show them documentation about the rebates and things that were going on, and I was willing to just buy the appliances myself and have them installed after the house was done. But the builder did not want that. So, basically, I was stuck at having to pay thousands more for the same product. That was frustrating. In the initial installation, they had one gentleman and his son installing it. I think that was very poor planning because that was a $10,000 refrigerator that was wobbling and coming off the trailer. He was also struggling to get it off the trailer, It was not enclosed, so it was open to the elements, and that was a little disheartening. I think that their installation should have shown a little more pride of ownership.

This is my second review of the Viking 36-inch all refrigerator. Ice formed inside the unit and this interfered with the fan. Water collected on shelves and under refrigerator. The first unit was repaired a number of times. Viking then replaced it with a new refrigerator. Same problems. We insisted that Viking refund money to the dealer and we now have a Sub Zero. Finally, after almost six months, we have a refrigerator that works. While the interior design of the Viking is better, their engineering is poor. When we did a complete remodel of our kitchen in 2018 we purchased Viking range top, downdraft vent & dual wall ovens. Viking had a promotion going where they threw in the dishwasher. The dishwasher stopped working in late January 2019, about 8 months after installation. We called the Viking authorized appliance repair company. They sent a service tech out 8 days later. He informed us the dishwasher had a bad water pump and circuit board. Told us it would take a week or two to get replacement parts. Never heard back so after two weeks I called the service center and was informed the parts would be in late March which means were out of a dishwasher for over 2 months.I am a general contractor with over 40 years in the business and have never experienced a dishwasher failure. I guess that is why Viking is giving them away! I may go ahead and purchase a Miele and throw this Viking unit out. I dont know how Viking can justify two month wait times for parts. Im really happy that it wasnt the cooktop or oven with a problem but now wondering if we do have an issue with either of those how long will it take to get parts.

My 36 gas range is 10 years old and the oven has never operated properly. I was told that the gas smell was because our propane was running low. The oven takes forever to come to temp. Now the oven is shot and Viking will not stand behind their product. The gas company came to my house last week and I discovered that two of the ignitors do not work. The heat shield is warped and split on the one side because that ignitor was working so hard on that side. The porcelain is chipped at the back of the oven. There are small holes in the burners, hence the gas leak. And if that is not enough, the springs on the door are not working. I sent pictures to Viking and their reply was, Sorry but here is the name of the repair company in my area (three hours away) and they can fix these problems as long as I pay in advance of their service call. Beware of purchasing Viking Appliances!!! We purchased a Viking Range, double oven and beverage from Macon Appliance Store in Franklin, NC and spent almost $18,000 only to find out that Viking only carries a 2 year warranty. We had Blossom Gas come out to inspect our gas and they discovered there was a leak coming from the gas range. We contacted Macon Appliance and a repairman contacted us and set up a service call. It was discovered that the gas range had a gas leak and parts were ordered. On 10/31/19 the serviceman returned with the parts to repair our gas range. It was at this time that he informed us that we owed $670.00 because the 2 yr warranty had expired. Needless to say I was livid as what company sells such expensive appliances with a 2 yr warranty. The appliances were delivered in Aug 2017 but our home was not completed until the later part of September. I have also read other reviews from customers that had the same problem with a gas leak so this is obviously a problem with Viking gas ranges yet your company wants to gauge customers that are paying high prices for these appliances with a warranty that is worth nothing. Even Lowe’s, Home Depot and other companies offer a 5 yr warranty and much better service. I will NEVER purchase another Viking appliance again and will ensure that I let people know about the terrible quality of service that Viking provides. It is a shame that a company like yours takes people for their money. I contacted your customer service to report this only to speak with a representative that was rude. I asked her to have a supervisor contact me and I never received a callback. I am also contacting the BBB to report this matter!

I purchased the Viking range in the summer and it has been physically operationally working for about three months. I had to have my kitchen redone, so we started with appliances first, then we installed it once the kitchen was pre-configured. It was a stand-up oven as opposed to a countertop. We’ve used it on several occasions and it has been great. The unit is very solid, has high BTU efficient, and has the gas top as well as the oven. It is a convection oven, which we never had before, so it has enhanced some of our food preparations by far. The appliance is quite heavy but that is part of the solid construction. Also, we haven’t used the self-cleaning function yet and we haven’t used the unit to a great extent. The prices of Viking are fairly high in range, like Wolf, Milan, and other manufacturers and the price of the unit I purchased was much higher than I wanted to spend. The particular stove model we purchased is being discontinued, which didnt bother me because the product itself is what’s important and it doesnt mean it’s not gonna be supported by the manufacturer.

I had my Viking range and stove delivered and set up. I used the burners right away. They are fantastic, provide a HUGE amount of heat, are quiet, and easy to keep clean. The oven, which I would now rate a 5 out of 5, made a terrible grinding fan noise the first time I used it. Lakeview Appliance came out, their tech tightened a few things in the back, and it was quiet for 3 days. The horrendous noise came back, and this time we recorded the noise from several angles with my Wifes smartphone. This time when the tech came out, he listened to the recording, checked a few things on the back of the oven, and stated that he was ordering a new cooling fan. This did the trick! The oven is now quiet, powerful, and works like a charm! Overall I would rate the unit a 5 out of 5 now that it is fixed. It is a great looking unit, very professional in appearance, and the stainless surfaces are easy to keep clean.

Viking service providers have put band-aids on this issue 3 times, the latest 4 months ago. These have helped for a short period of time, but eventually have all failed. When I called Viking today to let them know that the issue is happening again, neither Viking (nor the service provider) would stand behind the product or the work that was done to fix it. The customer care department told me that I would need to pay for the service, and then Viking would decide whether or not it was a quality issue. They would not escalate the issue to a supervisor, claiming that there was no such person. I am writing the review here in the effort to get some resolution.

I was at an open house and saw Vikings range. It looked pretty good. I talked to some customer families and they were happy with their appliance. The range was fine, but the hood sucked. Although the range doesn’t have as many features as the other ranges on the market, it feels solid and commercial. Plus, it provides consistent burning. However, it lacks the innovation that other products on the market have. Im hoping for more functions, like a timer. It even took me time to realize that you have to set the ovens temperature and wait for the light to turn off so you know its at the right temperature. Its not as convenient as my previous GE profile range. The GE didnt look as nice but it had a feature that tells the ovens current temperature, a timer, and more. The hood generates so much noise that I feel like Im next to a jet engine. I need to call them about that, but the customer portal is pretty poorly defined. I had to jump through a lot of hoops to set everything up. I just finished that and now I need to figure out a way to report a problem.

We purchased a complete Viking kitchen package from Pacific Sales and it was delivered on 11/04/2008. Appliances were installed in late November. So far in less than 4 years, we have had problems of malfunction with every single appliance. But by far, the worst is the 30 stove # VGCC5304BSS. On March 31, 2012, we had to have the convection oven motor replaced at a cost of $661.19. After it was replaced, we realized from the sound of it that the motor had not been working properly from the start. We also asked the repairman to look at why the oven would sometimes ignite and other times, nothing for days. He was not able to recreate the problem and left about 4 pm. At 5 pm, I went in to turn the oven on to cook for a party and, no oven. He returned the next day and said he thought it was the control board. He returned on 5/5/2012 and at a cost of $447.36, replaced the control board. Less than four months later, 9/4/2012, I went in to cook dinner and turn the stove on and, once again, nothing. I have tried repeatedly over the last few days but zilch! I had a cheap Hotpoint for 20 years that worked better than this piece of **! I am once again waiting for the repairman to come out this Saturday and I fully expect I will once again be asked to shell out several hundred dollars. I think everyone who has a problem with Viking should complain to the store where they bought it until Viking gets heat (no pun intended) from the places they expect to push their garbage off on people who still believe in the Viking name. As, for me, never again!

We were looking for new appliances and we went to look at Viking ranges. They had a deal where you buy a range and you get a free dishwasher tossed in so, we went for that. We like the range a lot. It is of high quality, better quality than the other ranges that we looked at. Plus, the Viking dealers people were very, very helpful and they did everything on time. Now, my wife uses the range and she likes that she can control the flames so carefully from high to low. Its very controllable. Im glad that we bought the Viking equipment. We plan to stay here in the house for many, many years and we hope that all these appliances last as long as we do.

The refrigerator appeared to be nicely made, and it had a very nice exterior finish and design. It also had a good price point relative to other built-in fridges and a very nice incentive plan in effect when we made the purchase. I went from a freezer combo to this 42-inch side-by-side refrigerator. I love opening a smaller door whenever I go into the refrigerator. I really like the interior lighting and the space at the very bottom which allows you to put in a full pizza pie or deep-dish thing in there. Even though its a very shallow fridge, its got a fairly open spot at the very bottom, which I like a lot. All the bins seem to be very nicely made. Im pretty happy with the fridge. The only issue I have with the freezer is that the cold air from the freezer compartment coming into the refrigerator comes in at one spot at the top. So things next to that will have a tendency to freeze, especially if something warm is put somewhere else in the fridge.I bought the Viking refrigerator from Best Buy and they were helpful. They had difficulties in the delivery mostly because of supply shortages and also in terms of getting here in the time frame that my association allows. The biggest issue I had was that they didnt install the refrigerator properly. They never screwed it in. They left about a 3/4-inch gap above the fridge in the cabinets. I went online and figured out how to jack it up, which I did, and leveled it and screwed it in. So all looks great now. But I did most of the installation myself because the guys didnt know how to do it. It didnt bother me that much because I didnt pay a separate installation fee. But it would have been more helpful if they told me the truth that they arent gonna install it and I should hire someone to do it.

We had a Garland in a big farmhouse 45 years ago, then we moved to Viking about 30 years ago. Its an upgrade cause Viking has the burners. This cant leak all the crud down around the burners, so this is much better. However, purchasing it was terrible. We were getting ready to do our renovation, and my husband had to spend quite a bit of time tracking things down. Our stove has just been installed and we love it. Its our second one and its beautiful. Its a good solid stove.

Weve purchased a whole lot of Viking in our past two houses and Im done. We bought an 8 burner dual fuel range when we remodeled our house. Within one month of when we could start using it, we had problems. In the 3 years since the remodel started, weve had service out a minimum of 10 times and they cant nail down a problem. They suggested keeping a log of issues which we did for a year. Showed dates and issues documenting a routine problem with the temperature not seeming right, uneven heating, self-cleaning doesnt work, pre-heat takes an hour and over fan takes more than an hour to turn off. Fixed several different pieces and STILL have such uneven heating that nearly everything comes out burned on the outer edges before the inner part will be cooked. Forget making a cake. The middle will be raw when the outside is done. Nobody from Viking will help. The regional manager called once while I was at work and wont return any calls after 5 attempts. Clearly just trying to look good on a report, not actually help. What I want to know is what about my written warranty AND the implied warranty of fitness for purpose (i.e., being able to cook things normally) that is supposed to be the law?! Not only will I never buy another Viking product. Im warning everyone I know against it also.

I love the quality of Viking Ranges. My husband had a restaurant before so we had some of their products. We picked it because there’s no electronic stuff. It’s very simple. We tried different stoves and they have electronic components in them and they went bad quickly. On the last one we had, the little plastic with all the stuff that they have where they push the button burned. So, we got fed up with it. Our favorite feature so far with our Viking is the burners. You can put four pots and pans, big ones at a time, and have enough space to cook without having to move anything. Also, the lady who helped us at the dealer was super nice. Not only did she know what she was talking about when we asked for stuff, she showed us a couple of them. Viking is worth the money that youre spending on it.

I havent gotten to using it, but Im very excited. I love everything. It really fits my house. It looks like everything is really good quality. AJ Madison was pretty good on the Viking products. However, they had a convicted felon deliver my products and steal my stove. AJ Madison and the freight company they subcontracted out to didnt do background checks and they hired a felon. When we decided to purchase a new fridge, there were only a couple of choices - GE, Sub-zero and Viking, so I went with the better choice. We also got a Viking dishwasher, stove and hood, and so far, they have been okay. But we had a problem with the freezer down below. Someone came and fixed it, but it took a long time. Other than that, its still in good shape and its doors are nice. Ive had other brands and the Vikings quality seems okay. I wouldve preferred to have a mostly full refrigerator and a small freezer, and didnt wanna have one with a freezer below because the ice maker was also below, and I dont freeze a lot of stuff. I have had several issues for the last 3 years with my Viking fridge icing up. It will either ice up at the top or the bottom. On two different occasions it stopped cooling and I lost all of my food. My warranty company has finally after doing repairs since August 2016 deemed it not repairable. You would think if you spend over 8k on a fridge you would get more than 10 years out of it. Now I am stuck trying to find a match that isnt a Viking fridge that looks similar to my 30 inch build in Viking freezer. I will never buy a Viking appliance again.

Technician returned two weeks later and replaced the thermostat and internal computer. Still 25 degrees discrepancy from the dial reading. I used to live in the downtown Denver area and had a loft that I refurbished down there. I had all Viking everywhere. Then I moved into a new home north of Denver. I had to buy my own refrigerator because it was a brand-new home. I decided that the Viking fit in the space the best and I also liked my Viking purchases previously back in 2000. I’ve been pleased with my Viking refrigerator. I can’t believe how long food stays fresh in it. I can leave food in there for weeks on end, and it still comes out as if I just bought it from the supermarket so I’m very impressed. I think there’s truly something going on in that box. I also like the industrial nature. It’s all heavy-duty stainless and the moving parts are very fluid and easy to operate. I’m extremely satisfied and I really enjoy owning Viking. The problem that I have is that the ice maker arm doesnt stop the ice tray from overfilling - when you open the door ice falls in the back and the arm drops -making additional ice, this causes the cubes to drop in the back of the freezer. Theres not enough space to remove the fallen ice and it also causes issues closing the door. The refrigerator is very good otherwise. Looks like a built in.

A Viking refrigerator was already installed in our house when we bought it about five years ago. The refrigerator was built-in and custom-made for the area. And then, the freezer is separate from the actual refrigerator so its got two separate doors. Though very expensive, Viking is a good quality refrigerator. In the last couple of months however, all of a sudden, our refrigerators cooling was not being controlled by the digital display. Its not working even if we tried to actually increase the cooling. So, the technician came in and put in some gas as a refrigerant. And then, he told us to monitor it for another week and if everything will be fine, it’ll remain fine. If not, there’s apparently a small leak somewhere. And then he also told us what it would take to replace the refrigerator if needed or if the same refrigerator has to be replaced with the parts.

I was very familiar with The Viking Commercial Ranges and when I remodeled my kitchen I decided to go with the Viking and expected to get same quality product. I have owned it now for 3 years and been sorry about my decision ever since. The oven doesnt have a temperature display and you never know what the temperature is. The controls are mechanical and connected to a electronically controlled board that fails after short use. The oven does not retain temperature and takes extremely long time to heat up. The cooking time is much too complicated for normal use and even the clock and timer are no simple task. To top it all, it is price at double the price of a Kitchenaid or a GE that do a much better job. I would stay away from Viking, save some money the agony.

Delivery was OK, however delivery man could not turn-on the fridge, they told me to look at the manual. Called Viking, they told me the local service person would fix the door and the lights, I should get a call from the service person in 2 days. Called back Viking, asked for another service person, was told that I would get a call back from Viking in 2 days.2 days later no call from Viking, so I called them, recited my story, was placed on hold for a good 15 minutes and was told that another service person, would be at my house the same afternoon. That afternoon service person fixed the lights, and repositioned the freezer door. I expected better service from Viking after spending $3,500.00 on one of their refrigerator. I have a large family, I cook a lot and I needed something strong and durable. I got the Viking stove and its very powerful. However, I have a problem inserting the racks. I make a cake, slide the racks out and the racks stick and go off the track. They dont slide in and out comfortably. And then, I have a vent above the stove and I have glass in the back of the stove instead of stainless steel. My husband pushed the stove too close to the glass so the first time I used the oven, the glass exploded. Also, its very busy to keep the top clean because it doesn’t have sealed burners. It has grates that I have to take in and out and steel wool in between every little crevice there on the top. I have adult sons that are slobs when it comes to cleaning so it’s an extra effort for me to keep this range clean on the top. I would have looked at something different and paid $1,000 extra and gotten a sealed burner. But I got what I got and I use S.O.S Steel Wool to keep the top clean every day. Viking Ranges is one of the brands you’d look at if you’re looking for a professional-style range. Ive checked them out as I was doing a kitchen renovation. I’ve got a bit of an older model from them. It looks more clean and it’s not as fancy-looking. Its just simple, and I want it to work well and not look pretty. Performance-wise, I like how much heat it can put out and the consistency of that. It’s a lot more powerful. I like the high heat of it and also its ability to keep it below simmer. You can get it really low. Most ranges can’t hold such a low flame. The range has been great and I’m getting adjusted to cooking with it. One of the things that I think was a bizarre design of the range is when you have the oven on and it gets to a temperature, it cycles on and off. And it seems like it cycles rather frequently. It’ll shut off and then you’ll hear, “Tick, tick, tick,” and then it will all fire back up. I thought there was a problem with it, so I called Viking just to understand. From what I understood, the newer models have this glow bar, and it’s a little bit different. I think they fixed that but changed the mechanism. The Viking customer service were helpful and was okay. I had some problems at first when I got the range. When I was trying to get it troubleshot and have someone come out and take a look at something that there was a problem, it took them almost two weeks before they were able to get someone to me. That was just a little bit long, especially considering I just got the product. For people who likes to cook and can afford a range like Viking, I think it would be a good range for them to get.

The range came with our house and the quality is not very good. It is not self-cleaning, which I dont like. It cooks food. But they can upgrade the design. It’s a large oven but its insufficient to put two standard sized cookie trays side by side. So you get this bigger oven but theres no benefit of the oven, only the benefit of the extra burners on top. We had to get an extra oven. Maybe their top-of-the-line models are better. This is an entry level model but its still a $5,000 oven. Its three years old and its already had two service calls. The warranty is only two years. The oven wouldnt light and the burners on top are sporadic in their lighting. Ive had cheaper ovens that are way better. I’d never buy another Viking. The service people were great to a degree. They were responsive. They came out and they charged me for the replacement pieces. They were gonna look into whether they could get a courtesy warranty on another part, but they never followed up. The people at Viking themselves who I contacted because there was a recall on some of these ovens confirmed my recall was not there. Even though I found some other parts that were not adjusted correctly at the factory and I had to pay to have the service guy readjust them, they said, “Thats too bad. It’s out of warranty.”

I like the ease of use of all our Viking appliances and the cleanup is minimal. For my Viking range, we have five burners that are of different sizes. I like having the middle one, which is like a warmer. It works well. All of the burners have a very good solid flame and its evenly distributed across the entire burner.

I own a heat and air company so we work on these refrigerator units and Viking is a middle-grade nice refrigerator. Then other brands, like Sub-Zero, have two pieces of refrigeration. They have a separate unit for a freezer. So I chose Viking. Besides, the floor-plan price for this unit was $7,500. I was going there thinking I was gonna spend about $17,000. But I bought this from Plugs and although this one is normally $12,000, the guy there said he would sell it to me for 7,500 bucks. I told him I didnt want a year-old model. I wanted to have a new one and he said that it was a brand new model. But I later found out that it was a year- or two-year-old unit sitting on the floor. The way it was sold to me is my only problem. But as far as the unit itself, it’s fine. I like everything about it.When we had a water leak problem, I had my son go look at it and it was bad water inlet valve. It was no big deal. But when I called the factory, they said that it was not under warranty. I told them that it was though. It was brand new and it had not been in the house for four weeks at the time. It took three months but I finally got a water inlet valve. The salesman from Plugs got involved with his Viking representative so he got it for me. However, if I have a problem tomorrow, what’s gonna happen with my warranty? I gotta call that dude back now at Plugs and ask about that. But now, I’m having a problem with everything freezing on the front shelf. It’s just on the top shelf though, where the air blows out of the evaporator. And they have a fix and it doesn’t cost me anything. I recently found out Viking actually makes a piece of duct, that I just need to call in the factory to get.
