The Viking is not a minute fraction of what I think it should have been and expected. The customer service is absolutely miserable, had multiple problems from the start, and buying from Pacific In Store at Best Buy was a HUGE mistake. The Viking Experience which I literally looked forward to for YEARS is a massive let-down. The only positive is, I LEARNED and since I am selling my house and moving to Iowa I get to buy a high end range all over again and have it NOT be Viking! Like a nice WOLF, Thermador or Capitol. Viking can get **.

Viking VMOS200 died after 7 years of very little use - repairs quoted in the $200-$250 range... not worth it. So now had to find exact same size replacement because of its existing Viking Trim Kit ($400+ by itself) and which matches other trim kits in kitchen. Anyway, only new Viking unit that fits our trim kit is the VMOS201 unit - at a fixed price of $689 plus local tax. Took old unit apart and discovered its basically a Sharp 2.0 cubic foot R530ES model... also obsolete. Note that the current Viking VMOS201 is also Sharp inside.Did some research and found that Frigidaire uses the same Sharp box, model FGMO205KF - and its half the cost of the Viking/Sharp VMOS201. All you give up is the heavier Viking stainless steel door and the Viking emblem. And if you must have the Viking emblem to match other appliances, just remove it from your old unit (use a hot hair dryer and saw the adhesive away with dental floss) and swap with the Frigidaire label. Hope this help other folks that dont want to pay $400. Too much for a commodity Sharp microwave.

I ordered from Viking Ranges online and they held the appliances for us for six months since we were remodeling. It was delivered from Texas to Minnesota and it took five business days. My other commercial ovens have an all seamless steel top but this one has shiny black, which is harder to keep clean than the others. Still, we’re very happy with the quality of Viking Ranges.

I’ve been in the restaurant business for so many years and Vikings name has been around. It’s quality product and all that good stuff. I’ve watched them over going to Best Buy and thought that one’s beautiful. My recent purchase was a single oven, microwave steam convection oven, all in one dishwasher, gas range and the refrigerator. So far so good but I kind of wish Viking offered a filtered water system through their refrigerators but they don’t. But it does make ice which is nice. I’d definitely recommend their product to a friend. But Viking is top of the line, top dollar. It’s not for the average consumer. I didn’t buy it to make my house value go up because what I’ve heard is all the high end kitchen equipment doesn’t really hold value because not everyone takes pleasure in that. But I wanted the best I can have and my choice was Viking.

We just moved our belongings over to Bangkok, including a brand new Viking range which can handle gas canisters. The oven safety switch keeps switching off the oven, just like other have problems with, and the stove top click, click, clicks constantly. I thought this was a quality product. Now I have to find a Viking dealer in Thailand. The professionals that handle commercial stoves came over to our home and they also cant figure it out. How can such a good looking product be so absolutely unreliable? More to come.

My wife knew about the name Viking and saw it in the stores when we were looking for refrigerators that had a reputable name. However, the Viking refrigerator we have makes a vibrating noise all the time and thats very annoying. They had people come out here twice and there was nothing they could do about it. One person from their support group said that its a manufacturing problem and that theres nothing they could do about it. He said its not a Viking problem and it doesnt make sense to me. I asked him if theres someone else I could contact and he said no. That was very discouraging. I finally tried on my own to find somebody high up, but I couldnt get it. Nevertheless, the refrigerator itself is nice. It has a lot of room and it works well.

My Viking refrigerator is of excellent quality. I like the functionality and the design. The efficient use of space has been my favorite.

I inherited the Viking Range on the house that we bought. Its great and the convection feature in the oven is nice, except that it does some weird things. The electronic igniters sometimes will just keep clicking even after the burner is lit. The technician said it happens when its wet or when its more humid. Ive never ever had that happen before and with Viking being top-of-the-line, I would not expect that. Still, Viking is durable and it looks nice too.

I like my new refrigerator and the way it keeps everything cold in each area. There are no warm spots and it fits the space that we have perfectly. I wasnt gonna get a refrigerator with a rollout drawer on the bottom but it seemed to be made well so I opted to go with that instead of the side-by-side. People should do some research into what features each one has and then pick the one that fits overall what their needs are because one of the other reasons we didnt go with the side-by-side is because Viking makes them too tall. We couldnt have something that tall in our space. We only have 70 inches and a lot of those side-by-sides are 72-plus, and thats not gonna fit in the space. Wed have to take the cabinets out at the top and I dont wanna do that because I use those cabinets. So, it would be nice if Viking would make them a little smaller in a side-by-side too. I know two other people who are struggling with the same thing. They have this standard spot that contractors made in their house for the refrigerator, and theyre only about 70 inches tall. When you read the specs, a lot of those refrigerators want you to give them a 2-inch clearance at the top for air and we dont have that. Ours is smack way up to the top but we have air on each side. We havent had the refrigerator that long but Im anticipating that its gonna be a real worker.

Ive known Viking forever and I bought the range because of the brand. I like the look and the construction. Its quality is good. But when I bought it three years ago, the person I had spoken with wasnt very knowledgeable.

The unit that I have has the 18,000 BTU gas flame cooktop and the infrared broiler is super strong. But recently, the front right burner will take a few seconds to fire up. Also, weve been waiting for a couple of weeks now to get the mounting bolts for the microwave. We had our kitchen remodeled and the contractor demolition team cut through some bolts.

Ive known about Viking for years and they suited the needs that we had at the time. They had everything we were looking for. Our experience with the salesperson was fine and the quality of the range was very good. I like the oven the best and it was nice to cook with. Im very satisfied.

Our freezer arrived and then we had to wait a long time for the refrigerator. Then when we finally were getting it installed, it turned out that the freezer wasnt working. It didnt have coolant in it. So we had a couple of people come out to fix it. Weve also ordered parts for the new freezer but were still determining whether we want to put them in or not because it seems to be working now. Other than that, its a great refrigerator and the quality is good. I like the dispenser of water inside the refrigerator and it looks good.

I need someone to come and look at my Viking refrigerator ‘cause a couple of buttons outside are not working. The temperature management is not working. I can’t adjust it. But I like the style of the refrigerator and the way it looks. The lighting is pretty cool too.

Ive heard of Viking for years because my son-in-law builds very high-end homes, and I know that at times they use Viking appliances. We bought our Viking refrigerator through Best Buy, and the reps there were fabulous. This fridge was on display at Best Buy when I was there. The reps said that normally Viking refrigerators arent on the Best Buy floor, but this fridge had been returned because it had a slight dent in it and the customer wouldnt accept it. One of the big reasons that I bought this fridge was the counter depth, and that was key. We ordered our Viking refrigerator back in October, but weve been under construction all this time and we just finally got it put in. Weve only been using it for about three weeks to a month. The quality of the fridge that we got is good. I like the brightness and how the doors open very fully. However, the only complaint I have right now with it is about the ice in the container in the freezer. Sometimes, the container overfills and when you open it, it pops the ice out down into the bottom. Nevertheless, I had a good experience overall with Viking.

When we bought the house, we had a Viking refrigerator, a hood and a dishwasher. When we had to replace the refrigerator, we got another Viking because it would fit in to the space in the cabinetry. We bought it from an outlet store where they receive overstock, stuff that people ordered and didn’t like it or something that had been discontinued. Our new unit is working fine and if that’s the type of refrigeration unit you wanna build in, its a fine unit. But theyre expensive and I would advise others to shop around.

I went to culinary school and we used Viking ranges all the time so I know that theyre reliable. They cook well and very evenly which is awesome. They usually dont break which is very good. Unfortunately, we had some problems with the one we got. The racks in it dont slide out. We also had a problem with one of the burners that wouldnt light. Were still waiting for pieces to come in for a few months now. The company has been fine but since theyve come to fix it, we still havent heard anything about the parts coming in. It would have been nicer to get kind of like an update.

We have had Viking for the past 12 years. I chose to buy Viking because I love to cook and I love the way you can cook and the refrigeration and the ovens work. This refrigeration we have has improved a lot from the one that we had before. My favorite thing about it is that the fruits last a little bit longer than a regular refrigerator and that the door works better because it’s make out of solid material. But I’ve been having a lot of trouble taking the stickers out of the inside of the refrigerator. I had tried everything and I still have two and a half stickers that I haven’t been able to take away. Also, its a little expensive but I will highly recommend Viking.

I purchased a Viking range for my home. I was reading the reviews and I just went for a try. The Viking dealer was very helpful, and everything went well on the installation. The quality of the range is very good. I’m happy with it and I like everything about it.

There have still been some installation problems, but we’re working on it. The range does not sit all the way in because the gas hookup isn’t compatible with a spec home. So theres a three-inch gap between the range and the wall. We were told by Nebraska Furniture Mart, which is where we bought the range, that we needed to get an L joint to connect it and push it further back. But they havent been able to do that. Theyve given us absolutely no guidance in what to do about it now. Changing it from a connector that comes up through the floor is simply not an option. According to our builder, its not usual to put the gas line through the floor. It’s usual to put it through the wall because ranges normally have a dead space at the bottom. Apparently, Viking does not. It’s not my first Viking, so I dont know why it never happened before. Nebraska Furniture Mart has been zero help. So we’re working with our builder to see what we can do. The range is not flushed against the wall. So when the automatic fan comes on, it vibrates like crazy. We’ve built several houses and we’ve had Viking range before. We like it and it’s a good range. We’ve never had any problems with the actual functioning of the range.

Viking Range Hood - We went with Viking and paid extra for the hood thinking we would get exactly what we wanted and good customer service. On delivery we were sent the wrong size chimney to fit the range. This was in April of 2016. The part was ordered and did not arrive until October 2016. When we finally received the part it had a scratch down the front of it which means it had to be reorder again. I have contacted customer service 2 times and cannot get an explanation to why it takes so long to get the correct part sent to us. This is a mistake that they made in the first place. We now have been told we may get it by the end of January 2017. Our kitchen backsplash has been hold for 8 months because of this issue. I would never buy from Viking again.

Viking Built-In Convection Microwave Hood - I have owned this appliance for less than 5 years and it is already inoperable. The machine started buzzing and burning. A repairman told me that it has defective parts. Nothing caused by us. Total cost for the repairs is $576. The warranty states that only one part is covered for 5 years - of course, not the parts I need. The company (Viking) wasted a lot of my time only to state the same, Sorry, not covered. Frustrating. I could have bought a $50 microwave from any big box shop that would probably still be working today. Viking is supposed to be top of the line. What a joke.

The dealer, Mario, did an awesome job of telling us all the benefits. We ended up going with Viking because he said that they stood behind their product and he had never heard complaints from anyone. That was the bottom line where we ended up buying 30 some thousand dollars of equipment there from Best Buy. I bought an entire kitchen of Viking. We have a microwave, a wine cooler, the gas range and the hood. So, all we need is a ship now to be a complete Viking. The Viking refrigerator is good although some of the soft close drawers on the bottom of the refrigerator dont exactly soft close but Im not gonna go crazy over that as much as that thing cost us. I also had some issues with the icemaker but we got that resolved and it was more of a connection issue. We had some issues with our dishwasher and we had to have it replaced. Also, I’m disappointed that the French oven doors didnt seal correctly. But other than that, they look fine. Were working through the service folks that Viking recommended to us and right now, Im still waiting for those. But so far, Im very happy.

I chose between Viking and Wolf and the price point was a big point why I chose Viking. Overall, I like the quality of the Viking range and I like many aspects of it even though I was supposed to have service on it again. I’ve had a service problem since the beginning and they haven’t rectified it yet even though they have tried. My favorite thing about the range is the ease of being able to clean the top. I like being able to take the top apart and get into all the components. I like cleaning them in the dishwasher or washing by hand. I also like the team at the Viking dealer very much. They were good.

We had our kitchen remodeled and our contractor recommended Viking Refrigerators. We went and looked at appliances and all different brands and we really like Vikings look and functionality. The price was also right. There’s a lot of great features, little things like it will beep if the door is open too long and its ability to program the temperature versus using a dial in older electronics. It has a really nice ice maker, too. The lighting is beautiful on the inside, it is bright. The quality of refrigeration is great. It keeps the vegetables and fruits cold in the compartment. Moreover, their guys at the dealer were great. They are knowledgeable and helpful. They gave lots of different options to look at. We’re very happy with Viking Refrigerators.

I have a Viking side by side fridge, double oven unit and a range top - While the range top seems to work Ok The Fridge is the worst, between the ice maker not working properly, water evaporation unit does not work (a known problem) where you have to empty/wipe off the water from under the unit, and various shelf draw handles and side door, doors have broken off (replacements are expensive). The oven works ok but in the first year all the temperature and oven controls (bake, convection bake, broil etc) have worn off, and its not like I used steel wool to clean this, but really how is this even possible? My advice - stay away from Viking - there are plenty other vendors out there with better products.

Our Viking 48 two door refrigerator: After two years it stopped working; drawers, shelves, plastic trim, refrigerator side door interior panels cracking, and both door seals in desperate need of replacement. After reading so many complaints about Viking appliances we just decided to wait and get more familiar with this expensive brand. In the mean time we went to Lowes and got a Samsung as a spare. Not sure on how to proceed, the Viking refrigerator was turned off and unplugged for three years. After the three years, we called Viking; Viking replaced the compressor, but we had to pay for all the expensive labor and all the other expensive replacement parts including the ice maker and both door seals. The refrigerator interior door panel is expensive and not worth of replacement. The refrigerator started to leak right after it was serviced from the freezer every time the freezer defrosts.Our 48 Viking Freestanding Gas Range: The knobs on the front of the range get very hot when using the ovens. The lettering and markings on the range disappeared. Oven doors dont close correctly. After three years, we started to smell gas coming from both ovens when in use. The ovens would not heat up properly, had to replace all three oven igniters. The large oven door/hinges stuck and we could not get the door to open or close, had all door hinges replaced on both doors.As a contractor, I find it amazing that I keep seeing Viking Appliances in multimillion dollar homes. My best guess is that these Viking appliances are there for appearance purposes only. Viking Appliance is the worst brand. Viking appliances are only worth the metal that they are made of. DO NOT even look at a Viking Appliance. I encourage all owners of any Viking appliance to be truthful and help the next victim that maybe looking to buy the Viking brand.

We bought a brand new Viking Professional 301 Series Built-In Dishwasher when we moved into a new townhouse 18 months ago. It hasnt worked in a month, although we have had 4 service calls and 4 parts replacements in 3 weeks - after the last visit it flooded the kitchen floor after the tech left. I think we have had 8 service calls in 18 months. There is obviously a problem with the dishwasher (it has been discontinued) however Viking refuses to consider replacing it. Viking does not stand by their product - rather than provide us with a working unit, they prefer to jerry-rig a series of failing repairs. This is one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had. I would not recommend Viking to anyone. I understand that appliances fail, however for us the failure has been the integrity and quality of Viking Customer Service. What a disappointment.

Ive had one Viking Range for about 16 years prior to my new one. I had no problem with it and it cooks very nice. The igniters on the old range I just got rid of gave up too soon. The temperature is true to the setting and really is dependable. I like the way it cooks in every way. It makes me feel like Im cooking like a chef and everybody that comes in remarks on how nice it looks in the kitchen.

Model VCBB363 Viking Refrigerator - This refrigerator was bought to fit a custom install. There was one recall that was preform for door. Since then we have had nothing but major problem with it in that sometimes it works and then it dont, all the controls at the top that control the cooling etc. Goes haywire and then it defrost itself and wont come back on for hours, and then repeat itself. Have call Viking to repair it after major failure only to find out that technicians they send out call the Viking Refrigerator a bag of worms. Not my words but those of a company that they use to repair them.Kindly Viking send a composer to fix it, however it only work for a week and a half. I have discuss this with Viking and they tell me that they will give me $1100 off a new one. I would think that these people would get their act together. I have another tech that I could that now this product back and forth and he related that it would take three to four warrant item to repair it. I am still waiting on Viking to answer him yes or no.

Ive spent almost $1500 repairing a $2300 Viking oven, and its broken again. The last repairman said he thought the previous repairman (Bobby Dollar Appliance) crossed several wires and that it might not be repairable. Ive tried to contact Viking about selling me another oven at a wholesale price, but they are ignoring my emails. I will only buy Viking again if they sell me one at wholesale.

The rep from the Viking dealership was really helpful. He pulled out the range and showed us the gas line and how it was going to be installed. Viking is supposed to be a really good range as far as reputation, but mine doesnt work. I turn it on, it reaches temp, the fan comes on and then it stops lighting. It just slowly winds down and stops, so a repairman came out and hes going to replace the computer board on it. He seemed like he knew what he was talking about and I expect that everything is going to turn out just fine after he gets that repair done. But first, the board has to come in and then hell call me to reschedule, which should be within two weeks.The elevation burners are pretty cool and they have a constant slow simmer. Im still happy with the range because some things not working could happen sometimes. Im a little more mellow than some people and Im not angry about it. The range came with a two-year full warranty and so far, everything has been covered. Luckily this year, Im having Thanksgiving at my daughters house so I dont need the stove done before that day. Now, if I had family coming in, Id probably be sweating about now and ordering turkeys in from someplace. Im good and I can wait for the perfect oven.

We had a house built and installed all new Viking D3 appliances. We have had problems with every single one of them. We moved in in May 2013 and as of December, we have had the Viking repairman to our house at least 4 times. Who has time for that? Every time has been for the refrigerator and at least one other appliance. Every time we have had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food. As I write this review a few days before Christmas, the refrigerator randomly decided to stop working. Convenient now that I have a turkey and all of the other items to make Christmas dinner. I am so frustrated with this brand. After you spend the amount of money these appliances cost, you expect them to work. The authorized repair reps are idiots. Our repairman actually once told me that the refrigerator was leaking water all over the floor because we put leftovers in the refrigerator and bacteria crawled into the drain line and clogged it up. Um... what???!!! The refrigerator leaked on two different occasions and warped our wood floor. The repairman moved the refrigerator and scratched our wood floor. The oven took hours to cook anything - even a simple meatloaf. The shelves slid out once the door was open. The temperature fluctuated +/- 15 degrees. He told us that was normal or the food would burn. No. Just no. The burners on the gas range only light halfway around. The vent just stopped working. The dishwasher leaves dishes wet. I would never recommend these products to anyone. I wish I would have read these reviews first. I hope anyone that reads this decides against Viking. They are pretty, but they cost too much to have this many problems.

We were remodeling our kitchen and we wanted to upgrade all of our appliances so we did get Viking for everything. However, the refrigeration portion was faulty so we called our warranty and they did replace it. Its now working fine but thats not expected when you spend that much money on a refrigerator. It was a bit disappointing. For a week, we had to figure out how we were going to store food. We ended up having two technicians come out because they didnt communicate. It was a bit of a mess but its over and Im glad.

My parents have a Viking appliance and Viking has brand recognition. The quality of their product is definitely good. I like the Viking range that we bought and we enjoy it. I like that its burners are brass. Also, its price is fit for our lifestyle.

The Viking range was not what I was expecting. It had two problems with it in less than 30 days. In fact, when it was installed, it was not working properly. So, it was shipped out of the factory broken. There were three service visits already, and it’s still not fixed. They keep ordering the wrong part and their people don’t seem to know what they’re doing. They also gave me very limited time that they were willing to come. They told me they could only come on Tuesdays. So, I would have to pick a Tuesday to be there. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Dishwasher 1: The on-off switch has failed 4 times! The first time was covered under warranty. The exact same problem kept occurring after the warranty expired. It was obviously defective from the beginning. After paying for the repair twice, Viking agreed to cover the part but I had to pay for labor again. Dishwasher 2: Leaked and needed a $350 repair in less than 4 years!I live in a major city and very few service companies service Viking. Appointments take weeks to schedule and parts are not stocked locally. Hence, I have waited up to 6 weeks for repairs by the time they come to diagnose the problem, order the parts and then come back to install. BTW, the Viking customer support people are friendly but are not able/authorized to do anything to accommodate on issues or expedite the process. I like my Viking gas cook top, double oven and microwave (have had Viking in 4 houses now), but I will NEVER buy anything Viking again.

When I bought the house, a Viking range was already here. I had to have a repair done on it and they quickly put me in touch with the service repair person in my area. They seem very professional. The repair person then came out and replaced the door because it’s not shutting correctly. He then told me to use the self-clean feature because that would warp the door and burn off the electricals. The quality of this range is good overall, and the big gas burner in the middle is my favorite.

Weve had Viking in the past and the Viking refrigerator was in the house when we bought it. It was a new Viking, so we registered it. Its probably the model that was chosen, but to not be able to have water in the door is difficult. When I open the door and want to pull out that longer middle drawer, I cant without opening both doors. And if I want to pull out the right side drawer, I cant do that either without opening the door. Theres nothing I can do about the shelving or the way the drawers is pulled out. So, it isnt really all that convenient. We cook all the time and its difficult to arrange the refrigerator. A Sub-Zero is a better refrigerator for us.Also, were used to having a gas range, so Im not familiar with having electric. The rangetop doesn’t heat quickly and when I turn it off, it doesn’t turn off quickly either. So, its really a challenge to get it figured out on how long do I cook something. And the oven, too. It’s not calibrated properly. So what I normally would cook in 20 minutes takes closer to 30 minutes. I would not recommend Viking to a friend. The dishwasher is the same thing. Those are expensive appliances and I am not that thrilled with any of them.

We bought a home that was completely renovated three and a half years ago and the decorator and contractor chose all Viking appliances for the home. We have a wine refrigerator, regular refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, wall oven, range with a small oven, big oven, hood and stovetop. We have had a couple of issues with the big refrigerator we have. The first time, the meat or vegetable drawer at the bottom of the refrigerator section froze and ruined the vegetables, and we had someone out a couple of times to look at it. Finally, they said there was nothing they could do to fix it, so we increased the temperature for the overall refrigerator. It’s keeping the vegetables from freezing but the refrigerator is not at the suggested temperature. Also, the hinge on the bottom right of the refrigerator has gone bad and the door squeaks when it opens and closes. But I like having separate drawers. It’s a great idea as long as it works the way it’s supposed to. Over the past week, we spoke with a gal named Veronica in customer service and she was great. We would have been normally forwarded to the warranty department but they were closed, so Veronica took the initiative to go to her supervisor and we were well-taken care of. That’s why we would buy another Viking appliance. I didn’t think the squeaking would be a big deal to fix but they have to put a whole new hinge and it costs $800. Viking is coming to fix it and they’ve been great about it ‘cause we’re just outside the warranty time. Everybody at Viking has been very good so I don’t mind if things go wrong if the company takes care of it. They haven’t come to fix the refrigerator yet, but Viking is doing a great job at taking care of the customer and that’s the most important.

Im not very happy with any of my Viking appliances that I got with my house. I used to live in California where I had all the Viking high-end appliances and they were great. Then, I moved here in Washington and the builder offered to put Viking for me and they were the most basic model of appliances. Originally, it wasnt Viking thats in our home and I wanted to switch out the dishwasher. The builder said, I ordered 28 sets of appliances for my other projects and I have one set extra cause I only needed 27. I can put that in your house. I agreed because its Viking and Ive had them in the past, but I didnt get to see what models they were or pick which one it is.The refrigerator was so poorly-made and it got dents on the freezer drawer. I was showing a guy the dents of my refrigerator. He said, That actually wasnt made by Vikings. Its all Whirlpool stuff in there. I was like, That explains it. Also, my stove didnt work right, and I had to have a plumber and a dishwasher guy come over to fix my dishwasher. These appliances are only three years old and we dont abuse them. We run them properly and keep them clean. I felt suspicious of the place where my builder bought my appliances from. I wonder if they gave him leftover or rejected batches because it seems that my appliances are and that store is closed down now. However, I like the double doors because Ive never had that before and so then I could open just one side to get my things out. Given that, I would recommend Viking in general but people should buy the highest end since the low-end ones arent that great.

We noticed that on the refrigerator side, when we would open our Viking, the door wasnt closing on its own when we let go of the door handle. So, I called in the place where we purchased it and then they said we still had a warranty for the refrigerator itself for Viking. So then I called them and put in a claim. I turned out that the latch from underneath the door was broken. We waited two weeks for the parts to be delivered. It also seemed that the doors were not levelled. The freezer was fine but the refrigerator was a bit lower than the freezer. But thats fixed now and its working fine. I love that we have more room to place everything in.

We bought 4 appliances from this brand - Viking. Three of them already have problems. Professional microwave oven - doesnt work. The fridge that we thought made in USA and we paid such money would work for at least 10 years without problems. The plastic in the fridge is of terrible quality. Dont spend that much money thinking that their products will work very well.

We saw Viking ranges at our friends houses and among the other brands, they looked the nicest. So, we decided to buy one and our experience with the team at the Viking dealer was perfect. also, the overall quality of the range has been great. My wife does all the cooking and she likes the range. And if she is happy with it, I am happy.

Our Viking Microwave was 5 years old when it stopped working. We had an authorized service person come to fix it, at great cost - more than most new microwave ovens cost - but within six weeks it was broken again. We got the same repair service in, but again it broke. Now we need to pay for the company to pick up the microwave and fix it - all on our dime. When I suggested it wasnt worth it, the service guy agreed - especially as it only costs $1400 to buy a new one! - #nomoreviking.

The Viking range was built in the house that we bought. My wife looks pleased with it, but I have heard her complain that cleaning it is a bit involved.

I love all three of my appliances from Vikings: the fridge, stovetop, and dishwasher. I would absolutely buy Vikings because theyre very reliable and sturdy. Im very happy with the dishwasher. So far, Ive only had it a couple of days. It was on sale and half price so I said that Id have that.

Stove shuts off and then doesnt go back on. Have to restart over and over. Had a repair service twice already in a year and a half. Viking said I would have to pay for service request. I think this stove is a lemon. Very disappointing.

We wanted a commercial range. We looked at Thermadors but we liked the way Viking Range looked and the price was okay. Viking had a tough track record but we understand they were bought out by another corporation and they supposedly turned things around. The team at the dealer wasn’t great when we went to buy the range. They handle a lot of different lines. They were very nice but not extremely knowledgeable. I would think anybody who represents the commercial people like that would be very well trained. They provided all the information I needed as I asked it, but most of the time, they had to look it up. I think this particular dealer was more into GE, LG and the lower-end or middle-end stuff. They werent impressive by any means. Also, once you pay for them, you would almost think that when they install them, they would run through a tutorial. But the delivery was okay.We like it a lot and have cooked and maked tea on it. Yesterday, we just baked with it and it was making a few popping noises. Were not accustomed to a gas oven and hopefully, its a learning curve but Im assuming that was some of the stuff burning off because its new. Thats a question I have for the technician whos coming to look at the knobs in the front that are rubbing when I turn them and the front kick plate on the bottom that is crooked. But we like that were being able to control the heat on the burners and its appearance as well. It looks very commercial, industrial and it’s well designed. Right now, we’re satisfied.

So I moved into a new house 10 years ago it came with Viking appliances. I am a research rat and use unbiased information such as consumer reports. I wouldn’t have bought viking. They already had class action law suit issues In the past. Bad reliability scores etc. Its basically a brand name that should Say Viking = pay way more. Get way less. Our refrigerator breaks every 6 months like clock work. Our friends take bets on when it will break next. A fun game for them. Not so much for me. Their customer support is god awful and they don’t stand behind their product. So do some research and don’t buy Viking. For those who say mine works. I would say a blind squirrel occasionally also finds an acorn. Probably not the line you want to describe your 12 k fridge with.

We purchased a full Viking Professional Kitchen - range, refrigerator, microwave oven, dish washer, hood. We have had at least one issue with everything (except the hood). We spent about $22,000 on appliances that are supposed to be high-end. What an absolute joke. My neighbor also has Viking appliances, same issues. Viking should be ashamed of their products and customer service. When you call to complain, their responses basically too bad if you dont have a warranty.

I researched on the website a while back and to me, Viking products were outpriced out, so I didn’t care for Viking at all and I was looking more into BlueStar and Wolf. But then this year I went to Best Buy and I saw the Viking range, and the customer service guy there, Cary, started telling me about it. I was looking at it and ended up buying it. And I was surprised because I never thought I was gonna have a Viking. But I love it and I’m happy with the customer service. Now the only thing is the cleaning portion of the ceramic part where I can’t get some tough stains out. And customer service doesnt have anybody that I can call and walk me through it or give me ideas. I have to look on the web, and that’s the only bad part.The baking feature of the range is great but it’s a little bit slow. If I have a cake that is a 30-minute cake, the baking time goes close to an hour. I love to bake and a pound cake is supposed to be 45 to an hour and 15 minute and Viking goes close to the two hour time. The oven turns off and it comes back on, so baking takes longer. I may be doing something wrong but I don’t press the button for a convection oven. So I’ll ask the technician when they come. The dealer in the Pacific Department at Best Buy was an excellent help and Viking Ranges is excellent. Go ahead and purchase one if you can do it.

We bought a Viking refrigerator based on the quality of their stoves. Within the first two years, the ice maker had to be repaired, and then again a year later. Not only were the repairs expensive ($500), it took two weeks for their preferred repairman to get here. The most expensive appliance we ever bought, needed the earliest repairs, and for the most money-not a smart purchase.

The refrigerator (DFRB304L) was leaving a puddle on the floor in front. The repairman was clueless. Luckily, my son is an engineer and he took all the shelves out and took the inside back off in order to find the poorly engineered problem and caulk it. His repair worked. Also, the clear parts of the drawers all cracked. This is obviously a quality control problem, but when I contacted them, their response was that the refrigerator was out of warranty. At that time, it was only just. I really thought that a company like that would stand behind its products, but my eyes have been opened! They clearly dont care if you never buy another appliance from them.

I had Viking for 14 years and I never had a problem with it. I liked it very much and decided to go with it again. The first one I had, I liked its dependability and the way it cooked. It was a high performing stove, and I liked that. What I have now is the same model, newer, and it’s no different. I had two problems however. I ordered my Viking range and when it came, there was a gas leak in it. The Viking person could not find any smell of gas, and he thought I was crazy. I had the gas company out and they found that it was inside the stove. Then the second time, they took that stove away and gave me another one, and I had a defect in that one also. So, I’m on my third stove, but it’s finally the right one. The installation teams have been fine too.

We bought the new model of Viking Refrigerator that was a little less expensive than Subzero and got better reviews. We like it and my favorite is its lighting feature. Viking Refrigerator is okay but we’re not blown away. We noticed that the icemaker doesn’t know when to stop making ice, it just overflows. It does all right keeping things cold but sometimes it’s freezing something and sometimes it’s not. It’s just bizarre, it’s like some things in a certain area of the refrigerator tend to freeze. Almost not solid frozen but get close to frozen. It looks great though. Its aesthetically pleasing. I have a cheap refrigerator in Florida that performs the same. Nonetheless, the Viking dealer was great. We got all of our appliances through them. If someone would ask about Viking, Id tell them to do the research and really find out what products work the best. Viking is a good line but I think refrigerators are overrated.

My wife didnt want the ice maker on the exterior of the fridge, so we chose Viking. We knew what we wanted when we bought our fridge at Best Buy. The product that we got seems fine, but its kinda noisy and vibrates when it makes ice. The plastic wrap on the door was annoying, but otherwise the fridge is all right. Quality-wise, it has been holding up wonderfully in the two months since it was installed.

I owned a 4-burner Viking range back in 2005 and they were good. When we built our house, we tossed back and forth with other ranges. But we went with Viking once again. I couldnt settle for something else and it seemed like I was settling if I got something different. I like the different top for the broiler. We use it daily and were very happy.

We sent back a previous refrigerator to Viking as the water dispenser wasnt working. The ice maker was working initially but it stopped working as well. A technician came first to evaluate the refrigerator and said he needed to replace some parts. It took weeks for him to get the parts and he finally came back saying that the refrigerator needed to be replaced. It took a while to get the issues resolved and we had to take time off of work to do that. The coordination was a little frustrating, but the process of getting their product replaced went smoothly. The guys who delivered the new refrigerator and helped set it up were great. However, it doesnt have a water dispenser and I wished that Viking had told us that because I spent money buying the charcoal filtration and I dont know what to do with it now. Other than that, their overall service was good. The installation of the refrigerator went fine and the ice maker is working okay.

My wife is a good cook and she wanted to make sure that she had something that was good for baking that has a good stovetop on it. We decided to get a Viking range based on its resale value - I know a lot of homeowners who are looking at a kitchen recognize the Viking brand. We bought our unit online and it was delivered after a few days. The range is a great purchase and it is a nice addition to the kitchen. Its really dependable, cooks well, and its overall aesthetic is really pleasing. It has PowerPlus so we could boil water quickly and the griddle works really well as well. The ability to be able to cook two different things in the oven has also been a big plus, especially for Thanksgiving.

I like the way Viking operates and I especially like the look of the Viking professional stove. Ive had Viking before so I got them again when I moved into a new home and I went to replace the appliances. The quality has been good. But I moved into a condo in Florida and they don’t allow gas so I got the induction. It’s different for me because it’s an induction and before I’ve always had gas. The rep was helpful the first time I went in and helped me select the product. But when I had some questions and went back, it was like they didn’t have time for us. They did it twice. She was doing something else and she was dealing with some other customers. I got the Viking professional range and I thought I was getting the Viking professional microwave. I didn’t realize until after they had installed it in that it was Viking and not the Viking professional. There was nothing I can do about it but I was disappointed in that because I was trying to get matching appliances. But overall, I’ve been very pleased with Viking.

I bought a Viking dishwater 11 months ago. During this time, I had to call their repair representative 5 times. I was very dissatisfied with this as I had paid more than twice an average dishwasher and expected better quality and not worse. I have been using dishwashers for more than 30 years and never had any problems before this one. Last week, the washer broke down again and the repair guy said that an olive pit had gone past the filter and into the drain, and he claimed that this was my fault and the warranty would not cover this situation! Now, I always wipe plates and try to get everything off but it is possible thata pit might be stuck to the bottom of a plate or glass and isnt the filter suppose to get that? I consider the design of the filter to be faulty and called Viking but they would not accept paying for the repair. I will never buy Viking again and will relay my experience to everyone I know and recommend them to stay away from Viking products which are highly priced, have poor reliability, and bad customer service.

We just got a new home here in Denver and they came with Viking appliances. I like the use of the gas range and the fact that I’ve got not only the four burners but the central burner too which is used for keeping things warm. We’re just beginning to use the stove a few times, and the refrigerator is in constant use. I had a bit concern though because we weren’t getting any ice. The problem was, it wasn’t hooked up properly. I had a representative come out here and turn it on and make sure it was hooked up properly. Otherwise, everything’s fine.

We wanted a good range and Viking had a good reputation. However, it was not a good experience. We were not given full information about the internal cooling fan, which was not only loud, but it didn’t just cool down and then shut off. Through our entire dinner, we heard the fan going on and off. Another other issue was that the burners all fluttered and made noise. We had our propane company come out and check the pressure of our propane and everything was fine. But we couldn’t get it to simmer without it going out and we couldn’t get it on high, even the highest flame without it fluttering. It never worked properly. We have good people here in the area who came out with an additional set of burners, but it never got fixed. So, we were completely disenamored of Viking altogether.

I had sliding shelves in another range so having sliding shelves in the rack inside and the price was very important to me so I chose a Viking Range. We had a problem at first and it got taken care of by their reps. So far, the quality is good.

We were switching from electric to gas so wanted a new range. My wife liked the look of the Viking range. The sales rep knew all about it and the delivery was good. The range has a great convection oven and it bakes good. The gas top stays at a good temperature. Were pretty happy with it.

I liked Viking's reputation and the quality of their products. They were pretty much at the top of our list with the exception of La Cornue. But La Cornue was very out of our budget and Viking was much more reasonably priced compared to them. We ended up getting Viking refrigerator and range as well as their microwave and dishwasher. The whole kitchen is Viking. Their products look great, function great, and you always get a compliment when people come to the kitchen. We got them from P.C. Richard and they were tremendous.

We just got a range that we knew had worked for many years. Theyre a little expensive, but the quality is excellent, so it may be worth it. One time, we were doing routine cleaning and it was very dark in there even with the light on. I turned the flashlight and I could see that there was a scratch. For the price-point we paid, it shouldnt be scratched already. Its a year old. I called somebody and he took all my information. He said that they would call me to set up a person to come take a look at it and nobody followed up with that. That was two months ago. But then I like all of this range. Its very easy to clean, and the heat is very easy to control.

Ive used Viking Ranges in the last 2-3 houses that Ive owned over the years. During the first purchase, I was looking for a commercial type range. I investigated what ranges were available so I looked at consumer ratings and decided to purchase Viking. I never had a problem with the first Viking that I owned. However, I had a problem with quality with the latest one Ive purchased. I had a technician come out for 5-6 times and when we still couldnt get it resolved. I called them and they offered to replace it. I wasnt really that happy with the dealer. I dont know if Id still go back there. I was trying to decide between Viking and another oven. Their oven would take a while to get so I went with the Viking, and it didnt come in as quickly as I had anticipated. Nevertheless, I love it. I have the dual range so I have the electric oven, the gas cooktop and two ovens. I love the convenience of having the two ovens. I have lots of room when I cook big meals. The surface of the stove is great because I have lots of burners that I can use. I also have the big overhead stand and the heat lamps. It makes it a lot easier to cook and I like to cook. Its a great oven for cooking and baking.

We have a Viking refrigerator and have had the repair person out several times to repair the many problems. I tried to get another repair person out here but they tell me I am in his area and no one else is to repair my refrigerator. This repair persons experience is a 1 from 1 to 10. I stopped calling him and started to repair the refrigerator myself and I have no training at all. I have replaced the strip across the top. I have replaced one of the thermistors and now I need to replace the other one. I have replaced the freezer fan, the refrigerator fan. The alarm is starting to go off at different times day and night. I have had water drain all over our wooden floor several times and its starting to show water stains now. I have had to take everything out of the Viking and put it in the GE in the garage. So, I can unplug the ice in the defroster outlet in the freezer. We have had several problems with our microwave, now the numbers will not show up and the part cost $210 dollars. I have put up with this problem for several months. It takes the oven a long time to heat up. I have spent several thousands of dollars on Viking products and what a bunch of ** their products are. The repair person that did come out said the Viking products keep him busy. He told me that he has less trouble with the GE Monogram and he thinks they are the best. Im about ready to take this refrigerator to the dump and get a GE.

Just got this double oven. it is beautiful. However, when in use the controls are so hot you cant turn the interior light off/on without burning yourself on the control panel. Seems like its getting too hot. What do I do?

Our service technician says our Viking range is leaking gas from a valve. Viking says they no longer manufacture the forty dollar part and we must buy an entire new range! Ridiculous. Our previous service technician told us that he no longer services Viking because parts are often not available or never ship after ordering. It seems Viking treats their ranges, and their customers, as disposable.

I purchased a food truck with a 4-burner center griddle stove. At first I thought what a great deal. I made just looking at the value of the stove alone, not. Its been a nightmare from day one. Two knobs were broken off and cost $175.00 to replace each without installation. When I read the instructions, it said no guarantee unless installed by a certified repairman. The gas grill ignites constantly clicking drives you nutty. This product is way overpriced for my type of business. All I really need is a good old fashion Kenmore or any type non-commercial stove. This is like owning an European auto with services changes out the wazoo.

My mom had the 36-inch Viking range for a while. She referred Viking and I know Viking appliances last longer. My refrigerator is basic, but I like the way it looks. The chill drawer for the beer and sodas is nice to have. We bought the fridge from Best Buy. They were okay, but they werent Viking-trained. They knew it was a high-end refrigerator and that was it. However, Pacific Appliance, the dealer, should stop using third party people. It was a floor model and it didnt come with a manual. I had to download everything. The guy told us that we should just go on YouTube and learn how to adjust the doors ourselves, and thats why we had to call an actual Viking person to help us out. Even though it was a floor model, they still went ahead and replaced the ice maker just to make sure thats working perfectly and the fridge has been working perfectly since.

I always wanted Viking appliances. I love to cook, so it is a brand that was instilled in me that is quality and a professional kitchen. Initially, I should have looked. I went to Best Buy to look at them, but I ordered these online, and I never really tested them out. I like certain things that I bought, but there were certain things I don’t like. I like the refrigerator because it’s large. But I’ve seen others that the inside interiors are better made, more stylish, and the placement of the shelves are a lot more intuitive than the Viking. The doors and the bins are fine. It’s just the placement of them is not as functional as we thought it would be. We like the soft-close doors but we didn’t expect it to be so small inside being a 48-inch. We thought it’d be a lot larger because we had other appliances like LG or Samsung, and those were standard-sized, and they seemed to have more space. I like the Viking because of the aesthetics. It’s a beautiful refrigerator. But in terms of functionality, it’s just plain-Jane. It’s a $10,000 fridge so I was expecting more. It’s a 48-inch refrigerator, and its freezer is tiny, unfortunately.

This is my first Viking Range. Granted, it’s one of the lower end models, but still not cheap. I was very disappointed with the incredibly loud vibration noise made by the convection oven. Repair/ motor and fan replacement was unsuccessful. Seems it’s the back vent that vibrates? Not the fan. Still can’t use when I have people over because it’s in my “open concept” kitchen. One knob had to be replaced because it stuck and I couldn’t easily turn off the burner. This all in the first month of use... not what I expected from Viking.

The Viking refrigerator has been excellent. However, the experience with the third party dealer was lousy. Three of the five pieces that I ordered had damages. They were cosmetic and not in a location where anybody would see but were pretty significant damages.

The house that we bought had the appliances in it and it included a Viking range. I’ve known about Viking Ranges for a long time but this is the first time I’ve owned any of their products. So far, the quality is great and I really like the look of it. But I’ve never owned a gas oven before, so Im still learning about it. It’s also a little noisier than a typical electric oven, but Im getting used to it. I also get that this is a professional range series so you’re not gonna have a timer like in an electric oven, but that is kind of nice to have.

First issue: Self Cleaning never worked. Wiring problem. Had to pay out of pocket. Second issue: Turned on the self cleaning this morning on the large oven and the inside glass blew up inside. Thank goodness I was home. Scary when an upscale appliance goes south. Anyone had that happen? Please advise.

I enjoy the Viking brand, and I had already bought some of their appliances. My Viking refrigerator in the kitchen looked really good. And now that Ive gotten used to it, the quality is very good. I highly recommend Viking Refrigerators.

Viking Refrigerators came in with the house that we bought. My ref is the double-door open and I love that I can open both doors and see everything. Theres no division and I can put whatever I want in the refrigerator part. And I like the presence of it. I also have a Viking range and a Viking dishwasher and I love my range. However, Im very unhappy because the seal on my freezer drawer does not seal. I have someone who will be looking into it. Overall, Im cautiously optimistic with them.

We got a stove and some other appliances. The stove, we had issue with. Its a gas stove. The proper gas nozzle apertures were requested when we ordered it but they were not sent. And there were some issues between our local dealer getting that correct nozzle. That took time. And during the installation, the installers broke a piece of the stove or the oven. And it took two times to get the correct part. They got it the first time and they installed it, and the local people who were our installers and our repairer as well, said, “This isnt right.” So it went back to Viking. We talked to somebody. Got it right. And same thing with those nozzles. It wasnt done correct the first time. I dont know where that issue lies, if it was with our local person not being able to articulate what was properly needed, or Viking not understanding or sending the wrong piece altogether.We chose Viking for several reasons. The aesthetics of it, how it looks, the way it would fit into our kitchen, the design, and its reliability, that it was a very good brand. I like how, when we open the doors, they feel substantial. Most refrigerator and freezer doors, you open them, they feel lightweight and not put together well. The Viking, when you open it up, that door is heavy. Its not heavy like I cant open it. But it feels very substantial, that I have something there that would hold up and done well.

Ive known Viking for decades. They were offering a rebate on the refrigerator so I went with them. I also had a free refrigerator and the range hood with blower, which made my purchase more enticing. Without them, I might have bought the unit from Sub-Zero and Wolf. I bought it from the Better Housekeeping over in Red Bank and the people I have dealt with were great. But the unit has a poor design and if I had to do it again, I will not purchase this refrigerator.The spring on one of the doors has a sound and the ice tray was poorly made because on the first week I pulled it out and the handle snapped right off. The magnet of the butter tray on top isnt good and every time I pull the refrigerator, if I have a stick of butter inside, it falls out. Also, compared to a regular KitchenAid, which are the deeper refrigerators, Viking units are more counter depth, so in terms of storage there isn’t a lot of cubic feet in there to use. With my particular model, there are four trays for produce and those trays are much smaller so I can’t really put a lot of stuff in there.I also have the Professional Series for the oven, which is the one with the French door. Even though it’s a beautiful look, it’s really stupid that it’s said to be self-cleaning but because there’s no latch for the French doors, it’s not the same kind of self-cleaning at the lower oven. It’s just like a steam clean kind of effect and stuff like grease doesnt come off. I also already had a problem with our blower on the fan where it was making a lot of noise and I’ve already had a service call on it. So to spend what I totally paid, which is at $25,000 for my entire kitchen, I really shouldn’t be expecting or experiencing problems like these within the first year. These are high-end products, and it’s a professional series, so it’s very disappointing.

Aside from the Viking name, we purchased our range for the three-year warranty which was a really big thing. The sales people were very knowledgeable. The quality of the product is great and we are blown away by how much more power the Viking has compared to our previous gas stove. Were very satisfied.

We had a few issues with the cooker when we first moved in. They werent lighting properly, so someone came and fixed that. We sometimes have issues with the general oven also lighting, but all in all, Viking has strong quality. Its good. The gentleman who came out was amazing too. He was really helpful.

Four years ago we bought Viking appliances and Christine, the Stephen King creation, took over the dishwasher. One replacement and 4 repairmen later, blowup. From my wifes FB post: We had a little post-Christmas surprise today... the Viking dishwasher backed up, flooded our newly refinished hardwood floors, newly painted basement and new carpets. You could of water skied through our kitchen this morning. Then the laws of gravity took over and you could have water skied though my downstairs office. Guess what the Viking Distributor is getting for a New Years present... I hope he has a big, solid and waterproof desk!

In the middle of December we went to a place called Famous Tate here in our city and we started looking around. We actually went there to purchase KitchenAid appliances but when we found the Viking, we liked it better. We needed a counter depth fridge and Viking seemed to have more interior space than all the other counter depth ones that we could find. We loved it. The only thing about it is that the ice maker doesnt make ice very quickly and it is just making 10 cubes a day. Their salesman was super nice though. We ended up buying the floor model that they had so we got a big discount in price too. Viking Refrigerators seemed like a higher end product that was built really well.

Our experience with the range so far has been very nice. The only thing is that when were trying to light the burners, they dont ignite really quickly. The cleanup of ours is manual but we havent had issues doing it ourselves. The only downside is that theres no thermostat and you cant see what temperature the ovens at. Other than that, I recommend purchasing one. Just make them give you an oven thermometer. For what you pay for the stove, I would think they would give you one of those.

I had a Viking range in my older home. So when I was remodeling the house over a year ago, the designer who was helping me with the kitchen picked it, and it was installed over the summer because renovation takes a long time. Then I moved in November of this past year. I used it during Thanksgiving and it worked briefly for a second, but then it broke. Every Viking product that Ive purchased is broken - the range hood, the refrigerator, and the range. I have a very busy life, so by the time I get around to calling for anything and figuring out where I need to call and what I need to do, and get everything registered, and realizing what is all wrong, it takes me a while. I have a job, so every time I try to call and stay on hold, I cant call in, because your business hours are my business hours. So Im not happy and I would never buy one again.

My favorite feature of our Viking range is the griddle. However, it takes too long to preheat which I’m not happy about. But the team at the Viking dealer were excellent. They did a great job walking through every feature and its capabilities.

I was looking for a range and didnt want one with all the bells and whistles. Viking Range was the cleanest and the simplest range I saw. I liked the fact that the Viking dealer was a private showroom, it was very nice. They had a lot of other models and stuff that I could look at. Plus, there was no high-pressure sale. However, I have two concerns for the money that I paid. One is the grate on top. The little rubber feet keep breaking off. My understanding is that the only way to fix that is to buy new grates, which is absolutely ridiculous because the grates are perfectly fine. The second is I had to have them repair the blower fan in the range. Again, I think that for the money I paid it would last a lot longer. Its still under warranty but I shouldnt expect that. I am disappointed in the grate rubber stops and the fan blower, but I love the cooktop.

I’ve known about Viking Ranges for a long time and I like the brand. When I bought my range, the representatives were terrific and very helpful. They were also prompt with the delivery, so I was very happy. The range I have is exceptional. I like everything about it including its appearance and the way it cooks.

I went around to a lot of different stores, saw the different functionalities and I liked what Viking had to offer. The range has a great quality. I like the burners, the burner heads, and the way that it looks. I like that youre able to proof the dough in the oven. I also love the French door oven option that Viking has. Their team has been great too. I had an issue with my oven and I got it resolved pretty quickly so I was very happy with that as well.

When we bought the house, it was a new construction. Apple Homes has been building since the Truman administration and we went with the quality and reputation of the builder. Ive had a number of different houses and appliances like Wolf, Thermador, Sub-Zero and LG. The appliances I was really satisfied with was Wolf but Ive always wanted Viking. Then this house had Viking and one of the considerations when we bought it was having the appliances we liked.We had used the Viking range for almost a year and then it freaked everybody out during a dinner party, because as my girlfriend opened it up, the door literally came off in her hand and when she let down, it hit the floor pretty hard. The range is a Professional and it has a heavy door. It was lucky it didnt land on her foot as the door couldve broken it. There was only one service tech in this area and that’s who came out and put the door on. He also said that when it was installed, it may not have had the door adjusted right because it was bent and it fell out. From what Apple Homes told me, the installer was Viking-approved because they got it from whoever could sell Viking. Yet they did it incorrectly so its like damned if you do and youre damned if you dont.Plus, weve had problems with the Viking refrigerator too. The ice machine goes everywhere when we use it and it doesnt click off. Its just poor design. I even thought it was a Professional but the service person told us it was actually another manufacturer that did that particular model for Viking. It wasnt really a Viking. Thats very misleading and I wasnt aware of that.The service cost us $100 because when the service person came out, they said he couldnt find our warranty online and we couldnt find copies either. We had sent all the registration and we dated it from when we first moved in. So we got it again from the builder and refilled it out. However, the service guy did say that Viking might reimburse the $100 service call fee. This happened just right after our first year and Im not sure but I think appliances got more than a one-year warranty. I hope so, for something that expensive. Hopefully it wont have any other issues because we like the way it cooks. We loved the stove and we wouldve recommended it until the door fell off. When that happened, we hated it.

Electronic control in door failed within the first year - replaced under guarantee. After 2 years water leaked because of a torn rubber door seal. At 3 and 1/2 years, while replacing another rubber door seal, discovered that the metal internal bar to which the bottom of the door attached had rusted and sealing screws no longer attached. Am completely disgusted with this supposed premium and professional dishwasher (actually, according to its back, made by Electrolux as is the Viking Pro refrigerator) - no one at Viking will discuss this, and at least one customer service person told me I was out of guarantee and out of luck.Will NEVER purchase a Viking appliance again! Their quality is suspect but the lack of customer support is evident.

I wanted to get a very solid looking refrigerator, but it needed to fit in the existing space, which was a little tricky. I had a choice between Viking and one other. But I liked the way the Viking French door refrigerator looks, the layout, and the fact that it fit in the slot. The dealer has been excellent but they only delivered to the garage and they dont do the installation for liability reasons, at least from Mount Vernon location. So I had to hire someone to install the fridge. One issue that I find that in the refrigerator section is if Ive got lettuce or something near the back, the fridge will freeze it. So I just turned down the temperature in the refrigerator to see if that would do it and so far, its working fine. I like my Viking refrigerator - its very solid, looks well-made and has a nice warranty.

Bought a four burner stove top oven and microwave/oven. Microwave: Spring in handle broke, touch screen face faded, Viking logo smeared all over the front of microwave. The microwave completely died. Stove top: Impossible to get even flame, difficult to cook on low flame without annoying loud clicking sound. Spend your money elsewhere!

Our Viking range is an older one and has got black porcelain. I dont like that and I rather it be all stainless. Weve gotten some things replaced on it such as the black cover on the range top. Right now, the door springs are broken and the techs are coming tomorrow to fix them. It took way too long to order the parts. I called in June and I still dont have an oven. I have the professional series and I thought it would have been bigger. But I got just a regular sized cookie sheet and it almost scraped the walls of the oven because of the way they have the handles on the edges. I have to get rid of that now and get smaller ones.

I love to cook and Ive always loved and wanted a Viking range for many years. We finally decided to get a range and Im very happy with it. Our Viking range is something Ive wanted for many years and it is fantastic. I love that I have six burners, that I have the option of convection and that its gas, since Ive always had electric. The team at the Viking dealer was wonderful and great but I was not impressed with all the demonstrations there. We also got a dishwasher, a refrigerator and a hood. Upon delivery, we had a dented dishwasher, which was not anybodys fault, and they replaced it which was fine.

The problem that I have is that the ice maker arm doesnt stop the ice tray from overfilling - when you open the door ice falls in the back and the arm drops -making additional ice, this causes the cubes to drop in the back of the freezer. Theres not enough space to remove the fallen ice and it also causes issues closing the door. The refrigerator is very good otherwise. Looks like a built in.
