The Daikin 12,000 BTU 24.5 Seer heat pump carries out its duties diligently and silently but I have a problem with the much-touted energy saving feature it is supposed to have. My power bills have shot through the stratosphere since I started using it 10 months ago. I would love to know if anything can be done about its power consumption so that I wouldn’t have to worry about energy costs. Generally, it is a nice gadget.

I purchased a Daikin System, at first I was skeptical with being it's a brand I never heard of- The Installing ac company assured Daikin is the best and he backs the brand with a Peace if mind warranty – 12 yr warranty- 12 yr labor insurance not offered by other Brands -he even helped navigate to actual online websites and showed me the real reviews – showed me the savings and comfort the ac will bring into our lives – well it's been 7 months and the Daikin system is outstanding, it runs efficiently and very quiet – my electric Bill even dropped – my neighbor wants one now and he is going with the new fit – I highly recommend and they are made in the USA

Though this is not your normal air conditioner as it is designed to save lots of energy, pushing down your energy bills, you will love its efficiency. The machine senses the inactivity in the house and automatically shifts to standby mode, further saving on electricity bills. I have been using it for the last 15 months.

I wouldn’t mind the hum of the powerful Daikin 24,000 BTU AC so long as it does its job well. I don’t see any sense in going for a quiet but hopelessly ineffective device. The slight vibrations are great for soothing me into a deep slumber! I think Daikin made a big balance between power and noise levels – huge power means you have to sacrifice certain niceties like a quiet device. At less than $3,000, it is the best bargain one can ever out there. I have been using it since 18 months ago, and so far, nothing to complain about.

I purchased this AC after it was offered by a local contractor this summer. Works great, quiet, and low utility bill. Never heard of Daikin but I am glad I purchased the unit so far.

We purchased a new furnace and central air unit. The house seems much more cooler with so much less effort. The air condition unit outside is so quiet you can hardly hear it running. We haven’t how do use the furnace yet but I’m sure it will be just as effective. We are extremely happy with both of our set ups and Applegate cooling and heating did an amazing job installing them. The warranty coverage that comes with the system is absolutely amazing along with all the rebates.

I just recently had the new Daikin furnace installed into our home and so far I'm very impressed with both it's energy efficiency as well as it's overall quiet operation. This new unit also has a much smaller footprint than the unit it's replacing, which in turn takes up less valuable space in our utility room. I'm very pleased with making this purchase.

My old furnace needed replacing and I struggle with the decision to spend a little more for a modulating furnace. I finally choose a DM97MC furnace with a Daikin One thermostat. I am very impressed how quiet the system is. I can’t even hear then it runs. And, now my house is more balanced even with no swings in temperature. Very impressive.

I purchased my home in 2016 and it was built in 1977. This home is ~2,600 sq.ft. and has an unfinished basement. The HVAC system was very dated, and the furnace was likely the original. Using Legacy Heating and Air, Inc., a new full system install was done. The components used are all Daikin (aside from a water heater also replaced), and are the following: DM97MC1005CN (Furnace), DX17VSS421AA (A/C), CAPE4860C4 (Coil), DTST-CWBSA-NI-A (Thermostat). I could immediately feel the difference. There were rooms in the house that weren't getting much or any air adjustments because the old system was simply not a great fit for the house and inefficient. With the current system, I can now cool or heat the house evenly several degrees within minutes. The new thermostat is very slick, and easy to control. I haven't seen the new cost for energy consumption (not billed using new system yet), but from what I can tell is it's going to be a nice difference. Everything is incredibly quiet and I'm very pleased with this investment.

If cooling is your main concern, you simply can’t go wrong with Daikin air conditioners. Additionally, the manufacturer hires professional representatives that are always respectful and try to find a solution, no matter the issue at hand.

The variable drive DX20VC is an excellent choice for the homeowner that plans to stay in their existing home for 5+ years. This pay back on savings from utilities, comfort, and lack of noise that this unit provides is second to none. We have installed many of this exact model and I can honestly say that we have not been back to one installation for anything. The warranty is the best in the business and the factory support has been great. Nice product Daikin!

The furnace and air conditioner are great. However, the thermostat is pretty complicated to make changes. I did not find useful information on the web to help me through the process of changing high and low temperature and setting the schedule.

We installed 4 of these systems at the same home, which was of course a costly investment for the homeowner so they were a little nervous about such a purchase. After a summer the customer is so happy with the performance and has reported unbelievable energy savings. The outside units sit just outside the master bedroom and they are relieved to be able to sleep well again! Also, as our installers and service technicians learn more about this product they've really enjoyed the ease of installation and testing.

I received this gadget from Amazon 13 month ago and my heart has been swelling with pride every time I step into the house. Silent air-conditioning and a massive 18,000 BTU power was more that I had bargained for. No disturbance in my sleep as I can simply program the device, thanks to its wireless LCD remote control. Daikin should know they have one satisfied customer.
