I will NEVER buy Dacor EVER again. We built a house and after looking at other high-end appliance makers and upon my mother's strong recommendation, we installed all Dacor appliances in our new kitchen. My mother based her recommendation of Dacor appliances due to what she explained as their "excellent customer service." HA!! Less than 3 years after installing our pricey Dacor Epicure over-sized dishwasher it has rusted racks -- top and bottom! After experiencing a very painful, drawn-out and EXPENSIVE process of getting our racks replaced, I am not confident AT ALL that our frustrations with this dishwasher are over yet. The new retrofit slides on the top rack are so lightweight I can't imagine they will effectively operate for years to come. I have difficulty closing my dishwasher properly now and have to check each time I run it for leaks on the floor. I've given up on my Dacor dishwasher and have resigned myself to eventually replacing it. NEVER buy Dacor!

16 months ago we purchased a KitchenAid 577-1 stainless steel dishwasher. Within a few months the arms to the racks broke. The kick plate was damaged. They sent another that did not fit the unit. We bought the new pieces for the racks, but the racks still did not hold and were slanted. Now the motor has burnt out. I called KitchenAid, they said all parts are under warranty. The repair guy came here, quoted $109 to come in, $200 for the motor, and $150 for labor, saying the motor is not under warranty. I paid him and threw him out of the house. Easiest $109 he ever made for the 3 minutes he was here. I called KitchenAid and asked why the motor was not covered. They told me only the computer and the racks themselves are covered. I asked why they did not tell me that in the first place. They said the rep was misinformed. Don't buy this unit. It is complete garbage. I am now out $1,000 for a machine I got 16 months out of.

I have a GE Triton. We started a load of dishes before going to bed. When we woke up in the morning there was a terrible burning plastic smell. The dishwasher was stuck on, and ran all night. It wouldn't turn off, so we unplugged it. We are lucky that it didn't catch the house on fire. NEVER go to sleep with your dishwasher running. All the stuff you see at the bottom is plastic that dripped down. It melted the bottom of the silverware rack, and some silverware fell down to the bottom where the plastic handles of the knife handles melted. There is brown residue, so I think it did start to catch fire. Thank goodness we woke up early.

My husband and I purchased all new Frigidaire Gallery Appliances on 3-22-2014. On August 5, 2018 the compressor went out on the refrigerator with no warning at all. It had not been running warm, it was not making any noises, the freezer just shot up to 34 degrees and the next morning the refrigerator was at 59 degrees. This is at minimum an $800.00 repair. We did not purchase the extended warranty, it would have been past the time of use anyway. In speaking to customer service at Frigidaire their only response was "they will make note of my dissatisfaction with the product" she also commented "had I purchased the warranty this would have been covered since you have up to 13 years after you buy a product from Frigidaire to get one". Clearly, this company does not care about customer service or making a top notch appliance. The dishwasher died after months requiring a $275.00 repair. We will never purchase another Frigidaire appliance!

Mine stopped working right after the one year warranty expired and has the flashing lights. Called a local appliance repair guy and he told me he does not repair Samsung. Why? Because they keep breaking down and he has to keep coming back to replace parts at his cost. Customers think it’s his fault, but after reading this blog, we all know the problem is Samsung. My other Samsung appliances are not great either. I just purchased a new highly rated Kenmore from Sears. After checking Consumer Reports, Samsung has the worst frequency of repairs of all brands. Stay away from Samsung and don’t listen to salespeople. Do your own research first and buy a dependable brand. Anybody want to buy a lightly used dishwasher? LOL.

Cleans dishes thoroughly. Easy to use. With the right dishwashing soap it can remove baked on and stubborn spots. It is very low in the noise department. Not silent but very low. The size of this particular dishwasher is very suitable for my needs. I have to do dishes maybe 3 times a week. I can get all my pans and silverware to fit and even my big plates. I like the stainless steel look. It gives it a more professional feel in my opinion and helps my kitchen look better and makes me feel better about the appearance of it. While this is not the cheapest dishwasher out there it is very good. And remember that old saying you get what you pay for, well that's true in this case.

I have gotten very little usage from this LG dishwasher since I purchased it a few years ago. It has been one problem after another. I had not used it for approximately 8 months. When I DID try to use it, it gave me the "oe" code (Again). When the repairman came out, it was clogged up, he really DID not believe that I had not been using the dishwasher. Also, now the rubber and the sides that should be welded down is now coming loose. It cannot be repaired!!!!

Looks great - love the look in the kitchen. Washes the dishes ok but have to make sure nothing blocks the washing arm which is sometimes hard to know until you open the door at the end of the cycle. Biggest complaint is that the machine is SO loud. I am so disappointed that I purchased the unit and would love to replace with a quieter model.

I did not purchase the dishwasher. It happened to come with the home I purchased. However that being said I was not displeased with the appliance as I knew Kenmore was a trusted brand in appliances. There was an On/off switch for the heat for the dry cycle. It was programmable for delayed wash and the dishwasher was also large capacity with a roomy interior and easy to load dish racks. However, the dishwasher was an older model that did not clean my dishes as well if the dishes were not pre-rinsed and it was very loud sounding. We likened it to a plane taking off. But overall it was Satisfactory.

I purchased a fridge about 2 years ago and when the handle broke, the parts department advised me that the piece was discontinued and that nothing could be done to replace this. In sum, have a fridge for which I can't use the handle to open the freezer drawer. Lovely. The lifespan of their products is under 5 years. Amazing. Then 3 months ago, my husband purchases a dishwasher and guess what it works for a whole 2 days then breaks down. 3 months later, still washing dishes by hand and countless service visits with the incorrect parts ordered and still waiting. Called the executive department directly at Samsung just to learn that nothing can be done and basically I need to wait to hopefully receive the correct part and eventually be able to use my dishwasher. The worst service ever. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG. It will eventual break down within 5 yrs or less of normal usage.
