I wish I would have seen this site before purchasing what I thought was a good brand. All appliances were Whirlpool replacements which were over 10 years old. The Electrolux appliances havent made it three years without issues. Ice maker in the refrigerator stopped working. Dryer electrical panel, washer and dishwasher leaking, and microwave power unit went out. If you buy them, keep purchasing the extended warranty!

We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher 3 1/2 years ago. Last year, I spent $275 on it for repair of the top rack which wasnt cleaning and needed two new parts. Yesterday, I was told it is leaking and that the leak kit and service will cost me over $300. What a piece of crap. Please learn from my experience and dont waste your money on an Electrolux.

We ordered an Electrolux dishwasher from Lowes. We waited three weeks for it to arrive. The installer turned it on and it flooded water onto our wood floor. Installer stated that a new one would have to be reordered. One month later, a second Electrolux was delivered--same thing. We asked for it to be removed and our credit card credited immediately. Installer stated this is the fourth Electrolux this week with this problem, yet they keep selling them.

ELECTROLUX IQ Touch Top Control Dishwasher #EI24ID50QS - Purchased in August 2014, our Electrolux dishwasher immediately malfunctioned. The dishwasher drains intermittently and it displays an unrecognizable error code (iFo) which causes operation failure. By Jan 2015, weve had four separate manufacturer service calls and theyve yet to resolve the problem. With a lack of respect for their customers time and inconvenience, Electrolux refuses take responsibility, neither refund or replace their faulty product.

Purchased a new Electrolux Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer in 2011. A year after purchase the refrigerator started breaking down. First the icemaker, then cooling/freezing, then the ice maker again. The unit was determined to be a lemon. Electrolux agreed to replace the refrigerator, and assist with repair cost. They replaced the refrigerator, and took the old one. When we asked for assistance with the cost of repair they demanded the serial/model number sticker and the original bill of sale. They were given both for the replacement. A year later the replacement refrigerator developed a pinhole in the back and began leaking water. We have now been dealing with getting a replacement for six months. At first they said they could find a replacement in our area. The appliance store that replaced the first one has a new one in their showroom. Then they said they would refund the money spent but demanded the invoice/bill of sale. We did not purchase the second refrigerator they replaced it. We do not have a bill of sale. Now they are requesting letter stating the problem, and that I take the serial/model plate from the inside of the refrigerator. When I said it is unlikely that I will be able to get it off in one piece, the representative said she knows that. All correspondence we have had with them contained the model number including the last letter on June 4, 2015. Yet, I still have to do the impossible to move to the next step. I am afraid the next step will be just another road block.

Please, do not be enticed by Electrolux. We purchased a suite of appliances in 2009 for close to $10,000, and have fortunately renewed our warranties every three years. We have had work done on all four appliances. We are on our 3rd French door fridge with ice/water dispenser in the door. We are currently having to pay delivery and installation to replace our microwave because the one we have can not be repaired; the part is on back order for an indeterminate period of time. We still do not have a delivery date.Yesterday, we got Error 01 on our dishwasher. We looked up the error code, which said there was a leak. We checked all the connections for leaks; there was none. We read what others said were their experiences in forums and discovered that once that particular error code comes up, the dishwasher is basically done for. We tried wiping it out, drying it out with the fan trained on the open door. We cut the circuit breaker, then restored power. We unplugged and replugged. Nothing worked. Another repair order has to be made before they can determine it cannot be repaired! That means another long wait for a replacement, for which we most likely have to pay delivery and installation. Buyer beware, caveat emptor!

I will NEVER in life buy another product from this company!!!! I have 4 major appliances and all but ONE have been serviced! They are all 2 1/2 yrs old and Im being told that the only thing I can be offered is half off parts if theyre ordered from Electrolux. The customer service is HORRIBLE. Ive spoke to reps from phone number (706) 860-4110. Rep Alegra I spoke with her for 40 minutes. Was offered free parts but Id have to cover the labor. She adv. that her supervisor was upstairs and she would email me the information for the free parts and I NEVER received the email. I called back today and spoke with Shaquayla **, complaint manager, who adv there wasnt any notes about my previous call with Alegra and all she could offer is half off parts! The lining of my fridge is coming off and my dishwasher wont drain. I was told the knob that has been replaced once before has gone bad again!!! I then spoke with Shaquaylas supervisor, Theresa **, who needs to be fired! She was VERY cold and VERY matter of fact and kept repeating the offer without ever showing empathy or even genuine concern. I encourage others to NEVER buy from this company! Im currently writing a letter to a corporate PO BOX while posting in any social media site of Electrolux and filing a complaint with the BBB and posting YouTube video of the poor quality of the appliances entitled, The poor quality of Electrolux products. I am a new homeowner and I THOUGHT I was buying a great product. Electrolux has ruined my experience and wasted my time and money! I was even advised by Shaquayla that the repairs would have to be done and paid for by me before I could even buy an extended warranty. Again I want to advise these appliances are 2 1/2 years old!!!! I am extremely disappointed!!!

DON’T EVER BUY ELECTROLUX APPLIANCES! September 2015 is when we purchased a new Electrolux dishwasher to replace our very old dishwasher probably over 30 years old. Never had a problem with the old dishwasher. It served its purpose but could not run anymore. We were excited to buy a new dishwasher hoping that it would sanitize and clean dishes better. Since we got the new Electrolux dishwasher in September 2015, it has broken down 6 times. Also does not clean well and I rinse everything before I place in dishwasher. It’s only 2.5 years old. Called Electrolux over 20 times getting it repaired and begging them to replace the dishwasher because we were sold a lemon. Every time they denied replacing it. There are a few inconsiderate rude Electrolux agents that I talked to and lied to me. I have been lied to many times by Electrolux agents and they keep their stories straight. I record everything; calls, notes, confirmation numbers. Horrible customer service!

Cleaning issues with my Electrolux Icon dishwasher go back to just a few mo
Cleaning issues with my Electrolux Icon dishwasher go back to just a few months after we purchased our home in June, 2015. There have been drainage problems and leakage problems, but the most consistent problem has been the fact that the top rack does not clean. Three authorized Electrolux licensed companies have worked on the dishwasher. Every part on the dishwasher has been replaced. Ive purchased countless cleaning products recommended by the technicians and the problem has not been solved. The top quarter of the dishwasher does not rinse clean and there is always food standing in the bottom of the machine (causing a terrible odor - one technician told me to rinse and wipe by hand - I have never had to do that before). I have requested a copy of my service record but was told that it was not available to me but that the technicians have all the information. The wrong part has been ordered twice (or just the wrong one sent... no one is quite sure) which means I have been confined to my have home twice in the past two weeks with no work done on the machine. Last month a technician said he just didnt know what else could be done, but when I told Customer Service this they said the technician hadnt put this in writing. Apparently there is a procedure that must be followed to get a replacement review for a product that cannot be fixed and it must be initiated by a technician. All this is in the notes that the CS reps says he is adding to my file, but I have very little faith in that. I get a different person each service call and they always want to try one more thing! I did purchase an extended service contract last year so I am not out any money at this time (although I paid over $400 after the warranty was up and my builder paid about the same), but I have devoted a tremendous amount of time and energy trying to get this fixed. My contract is up in July and I told Customer Service that I fully expected this to be resolved before then and not dragged out so that my contract expires before it is settled. I have four boxes of unusable parts being stored at my house. Electrolux could have bought me two new dishwashers for the amount of parts and labor that have been wasted on this machine. I have tried to be patient with this situation, but I have been tested to the limits and want some results.

Weve owned our dishwasher for 3 years. It has leaked from the beginning. Weve had it serviced dozens of times. The leaking has even ruined our baseboards. I have been verbally abused by this technician whos name is David. He confronted me over the phone, told me to find another technician as he found out that I made a complaint about him before. He did not do a great job last two times. He basically told me that he does not have time to do a charity job! I have been offered a goodwill warranty service but in Davids interpretation, it is a charity job for him. This is not the first time he made this comment, he said it before on his second visit, mentioning that I get the service for free and so I should spent some money to do rest of the job or do it by myself! So he walked off without testing the product. So the dishwasher still doesnt work. He was very abrupt, rude, not listening to me, and talked on top of me which was really depressing. This is unfair and breaching consumer laws and unfair business practices. People like him will destroy Goodwill of Electrolux.

We have had an Electrolux dishwasher for two years. It worked great until last week and started leaking. I called Electrolux and they stated it was not under warranty, which I knew, and they could send out a repairman. There would be an $89.95 upfront charge which would go against the labor. It was a minor repair on the drain line that took about 10 minutes. However, I had to pay another $87.02 for labor and parts. The $89.95, according to the technician, was a trip charge only. That was not how it was represented by customer service. I called back and talked to a manager that said maybe the rep I had talked to had stated it incorrectly, duh, and that they would educate them to be more specific. It was an intentional misrepresentation in my opinion and they should have know better. I could have called a local company and gotten it done much cheaper.

I got the Electrolux dishwasher as a package from our home builder. We had problems from the start. Within the first year, while it was still under warranty, we had to get it serviced three times. It would not dry the dishes, the pump failed so it would discharge the water. Right now the touch controls are unusable. I have to open-close the door ~10 times before I can simply press start. Forget about selecting any custom wash cycle. Every so often even that does not work and I have to cycle the power to the unit at the fuse box. We are waiting for the unit to die to replace it. My only consolation is that I did not spend any money on service. I am never buying another Electrolux appliance again, and I am telling everyone I know to follow suit.

In the first few months during which I purchased a brand new dishwasher, it began spilling out water, flooding my entire kitchen. I have had repair people service it 4 times already and still the problem persists. I called Electrolux and complained this issue is causing damage to my house. It is very inconvenient to keep changing my schedule to wait for the repair person and we have no confidence at all in putting the unit on as we fear it will flood the house. They told me that the only thing that they could do is to keep sending the repair person, as per the terms of the contract. So I am stuck with a clearly defective, faulty appliance that Electrolux continues to deny to be broken. I have scheduled a 5th visit, but judging by historical performance, I am not holding my breath.

We had our kitchen remodeled five years ago. Right off the bat the refrigerator started acting up. After several service calls we received a check for our purchase price. Thank goodness we got the extended warranty. Next the microwave door handle came off. They came out and replaced it. Unfortunately, it has happened again, our warranty is over so we will be purchasing a new microwave. Not an Electrolux. Our dishwasher door was malfunctioning. The service rep told the warranty people that it was non repairable. The piece that needed to be replaced was a small plastic piece that he said they couldn’t get to replace. He also said that we must have been responsible for it breaking so they would not replace the dishwasher. Another interesting note is that every technician that came here remarked at what horrible appliances Electrolux are. Wish I had known that.

We have a whole kitchen set of Electrolux Icon appliances. Purchased in 2014. The first to go was the induction cooktop in 2017. We purchased a new one to match the rest of the appliances but the top is very dark and hard to read the display. In August of 2019 the dishwasher leaked and ruined our kitchen island and hardwood flooring. Total bill luckily covered by insurance was $30,000. The dishwasher itself was very poor quality. We had to rinse and scrub our dishes before running through the cycle. We changed brands and new dishwasher much better. Hi Now the refrigerator has rust on the inside on back panel. We’ll need to replace that. Two of the plastic drawers are broken. This will cost approximately $800 after shipping etc because we have to purchase the whole drawer and railing system etc. Outrageous!! These items have been treated very gently, only two people in the household. Very disappointed in the quality of these items.

We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher model EI241D50QS in March 2015. The main board and the pressure switch went in Nov 2016 of course after warranty. Luckily the manufacturer agreed to pay for at least the parts for replacement. Fast forward now to Aug 2017 again the main board looks to be broken in less than a year. Called customer service and asked what they can do to help me as this dishwasher is only 2 years old and should not be broken down for second time and this part is less than a year old. Only response was, “Sorry nothing we can do.” So basically the 1k dishwasher I paid for 2 years ago is junk as the part and about to repair is almost the same cost, what a joke that they cannot stand by their product and give terrible customer service saying, “Oh well nothing we can do. Youre on your own.” I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER APPLIANCE FROM ELECTROLUX OR FRIGIDAIRE EVER AGAIN AND WARN OTHERS ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT.

Shortly after moving, we decided to upgrade to an Electrolux French Door refrigerator and their newest and best dishwasher. The retailer that I had purchased it from closed their doors a week later after 50+ years in business and left us with only the manufacturers warranty since they never paid the company for the extended protection. After several attempts to get the refrigerator repaired, within the original manufacturer warranty, from the time it was delivered in October of 2014 with the dishwasher, until December we had over 5 service calls, 30+ phone calls and emails, and over 2 hours of video documenting the problems they refused to replace it, insisting they have the right to exhaust all efforts to fix it, at my inconvenience and expense apparently. I even offered to pay any difference in model to try to expedite a return if that was a holdup. I gave them one more opportunity to pick it up, I had already purchased another refrigerator. I suggested that since they keep insisting it still could be repairable although no one can come up with any solutions, that they pick it up, fix it, and donate it to a shelter of their choosing. We dont do that is all I heard. I refused to go into another holiday with this incessant noise issue. I scrapped the fridge (yes actually) and replaced it with a Samsung that has required no service. Now the dishwasher, that has already had 2 service calls in just under 16 months is not functioning again and again I am without the appliance I paid over $800 for and am waiting on a repair and will see just how long parts will take this time. We did not opt to extend the warranty since it only continues to feed the beast that really could care less about its end users. If this becomes an issue, I know that I will be replacing it within the month. The moral of the story is, if you do not have the time to have non functioning appliances or the money to replace them when you have no alternative since the Electrolux Company really doesnt care if they lose customers, DO not buy this brand. I cannot stress enough how much I regret these purchases and the amount of energy expended. As I tried to get them to understand, these are appliances, I should not have to think about them or expend energy on them, they should just work until they dont and then they get replaced. If we are happy with the performance we are more likely to keep in the same brand. I repeat, Electrolux - they just do not care!

My very expensive ($1,400) Electrolux dishwasher model EWDW6505 just cost another $311 to fix. This is after replacing the water pump approximately a year ago. It was just over four years old and used only 2-3 times a month. Forget about customer service where they will only tell you that you have to contact one of their service agents in your area. It cost me $75 (trip charge) for a serviceman to come over and make a phone call to Electrolux tech support for the error code which resulted in a needed repair kit. Two weeks later after the repair kit installed, I was charged $118 for the kit, $100 for a second trip charge and $18 for labor. It is not true you get what you pay for in this case. I will never buy another Electrolux appliance.

Avoid Electrolux Washer and Dryers like the PLAGUE!!! They make horrible designs, and are deceitful and dishonest with their clients. I purchased two units from them in 2013 - a washer EIFLS55IMB and a dryer EIMED55IMB. The washer has been a disaster. First of all most of the components inside the washer are made in China which has a terrible reputation for quality. In my particular case the main pulley attached to the tub is constantly coming loose because the bolt that holds it on cant do the job. Over time the belt gets loose because the pulley wobbles on its axis and the washer cannot spin/rinse the clothes. Worse yet the pulley is designed so that the belt can easily slip off of it as there is no lip to keep it in place. When the pulley comes loose it often drags against the plastic tub... cutting into the tub itself until it eventually slices through it completely. The end result is catastrophic failure.I have had several repair people come over and do realignment of the pulley and belt but it keeps happening. Finally I went in there and took a look for myself and was astonished at what I saw. A complete and total design failure. Electrolux should not be trusted with any appliance purchases. Believe me this company will rip you off and not live up to their warranty commitment. Avoid them like the the plague or you will be sorry!Updated on 07/17/2015: I filed this first Consumer Affairs complaint against Electrolux listed below a few months ago. Well I now have confirmed that the grooves cut into my clothes washer tub by the defective tub pulley is causing water from the tub to splash inside the unit which then makes it way into the pedestal. All the circuitry and the control board for the washer have experienced corrosion as a result. It is a miracle there wasnt an electrical fire.

Purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator at BrandsMart. A month or so later I received warranty offer to extend the warranty. I paid for it in December 2016 and forgot about it. Then at the end of January I received another invoice from same people for same appliance. I paid it not remembering that I had already paid it in December. I called the customer service line to ask why another invoice had been sent, and the customer service rep said... oh that happens all the time and you will probably get another invoice in the mail. This sounded like a very common occurrence, so I said well I paid it and should not have done so. I called my bank to stop payment on the check I wrote for a duplicate payment. Then in February I get a letter from Electrolux that I owed them $30 as a fee for the stop payment. When I called them, they insisted that I should not have done that as they processed it as if I wanted to extend the warranty out further to 6 years. What! Same bill for same period, why would I extend a 3 year warranty to 6 years when it is not even indicated as an option on the invoice? When on the invoice it only indicates up to a 3 year warranty! It all sounds like fraud to me. The extra invoices sent out trying to get people to double pay, charging a fee for stopping a duplicate payment. It seems that this is a very dishonest organization, and no one seems to care how they treat their customers.

We bought our Zen vacuum cleaner in fall 2016, the main selling point being that it was claimed to be the most silent vacuum cleaner in the world. Well, it was silent for the first weeks. Then, there was this loud squeaky noise when vacuuming carpets. Turned out there was an air leak around the fitting of the tube in the handle due to cheap plastic that wears out in no time. Also turned out that the two year warranty did not cover the tube, which was only covered by 6 months. Within these 6 months we had the tube replaced three times, but to what use? The construction itself is wrong in combination with poor material, and it will wear out again no matter how many times you replace the part. This flaw also applies to the built-in nozzle holders that are too weak to hold the nozzle/tube in place. It keeps falling out making noise and waking up the children. Zen is anything but the most silent vacuum cleaner. One more thing while I am at it, the buttons! They are designed for the sake of design, but are absolute useless. Lets just say that the power button of Zen combines the versatility of traditional buttons, and the tactility of a touch screen. Press it and behold, nothing happens! In short, vacuum cleaners from Electrolux may look (and sound) good at a first glance, but the quality is a disgrace for Swedish engineering.

NEVER BUY ELECTROLUX!!! First know that I have previously purchased other products. GE that have lasted 2.5 times longer, no repairs and still running!! I decided to buy two higher END APPLIANCES thinking they would serve us well and add value to our home. WRONG! My refrigerator ice maker never worked properly. Finally I had it checked and repaired for about $600.00. Not many people service these products. Now the dishwasher broke! I called for assistance and they could not help me fix it (I removed the cover directed) then I said I will not pay for this to be fixed. They offered 50% off of parts to repair. I am in business. Parts are marked up at least 3 to 5 times the cost. So they are still making money. I said, fine, as long as I do not pay for service. They replied, cant help you there. Well, how insulting so I could be on the hook for a $300-$600 service call plus 50% of parts! I said, I am fair lets do this, Ill pay for the first $100 in service and 50% of parts. That is fair. If this product wasnt a bad product major repairs would not be necessary. So they could have used the money they would have made on the parts to pay for the balance of the service call. Please note we are a small household. Mother, Grandmother and daughter. We bought a new home in 2015. By new, I mean just built. It came with the Electrolux ICON appliances. These appliances are not worth the money. They are poorly constructed and have been repaired several times. They even have safety defects. The Gas cooktop is poorly designed and a danger to all that own it. It needs to be recalled. The burners are placed too far forward and make it impossible to use the front burners. The flames from the burners extend too far out from the base and can easily catch your clothes on fire. The knobs on the gas cook top also turn on by mistake. They easily turn and leak gas if you lightly brush against them. Kids can easily turn them on. These are a real safety issue and need to be recalled. The ICON dishwasher has been a nightmare. It does not dry the dishes and the control panel is always going out. It just starts flickering and has to be replaced. The fridge is ok but the ice and water dispenser are poorly designed and always leave ice and water falling on the floor. They really need to recall the gas cook top. Parents beware!!!

I have an Electrolux ICON dishwasher. I have had it for a couple of years. The dishwasher started out quiet when I first got it, but it got noisy later. The control panel had gone out and in order to repair it, I would need to pay between two and three hundred dollars. This is a very expensive stainless steel dishwasher. I will never buy Electrolux products again.

Subject: Your Kitchen and Laundry Equipment in Hotel Dar Al Ghufran Makkah. This is to bring to your kind attention that Dar Al Ghufran Hotel Makkah, is one of the 5 stars hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. We have purchased the entire kitchen and Laundry equipment, required for one 5 star hotel use, from Electrolux, through your dealer in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chbib Trading Co Ltd. The purchase amount was over five million riyals. Now the equipment are over a year in use and we have few machines, i.e., dishwasher, flat ironer, meat bone saw, went out of order and Chbib was called in for check or repair. It is with regret to state that your dealer has no spare parts available with them what so ever, in order to get the machines repaired. They had to place order for the same and we have to wait until they receive these parts and the waiting period is more than a month. And that too when the equipment under warranty? Now the dishwasher is o. Again and we dont know how long your designated agent will take to bring in the spare parts when the warranty period is already over. (One year).Again dish washing machine still is out of order from 20th December till now, only due to spare parts (Frequency Inverter part # OL2601- Model # WTM 140 ERB). After long time, your dealer received the parts and now last four days they are trying to fix, but they are facing some complications with new part installation / parameter, and dish washing machine still is out of service, and I requested to Chbib provide us alternative solution to run the operation. And we buy new meat bone saw of different brand because when saw was out of order (only motor was burnt out) and your dealer was taking long time to repair it, more than two month. What is the solution to get the fast service from your dealer and we want to direct dealing to your company to get the spare parts with in minimum period. Would you imagine this how we will run the operation? This time we feel so sorry for Electrolux Company that we purchased equipment from this company, never the less; we sure will have to think twice before buying any equipment from your company (Electrolux Brand) for our any future properties coming up, or even to recommend your brand to any future Hoteliers. We eagerly wait for your response, if this is the kind of service, after sales, your company and brand provide to your customers.Once again we express our regret to have been associated with your brand.

My husband purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot a year ago. From the day it was installed, it has given us nothing but problems. If a dishwasher had the power to ruin a persons day, this is the model that would do that. The electronic display never works. Just never works. Push them all day to try to start a load of dishes and you get nothing but beeps. You cannot simply push the type of load and hit start, as most dishwashers allow you to do. Its all computerized and nothing works. When we finally do hit the buttons enough times to get the machine to start, it runs a cycle and the dishes come out the same as they went in - not cleaned at all.Weve called Home Depot... Weve called Electrolux - all to no avail. Electrolux sent out a serviceman who did nothing. They wouldnt accept a return for this horrible machine, yet charged over $1000 for it. Im just waiting until my husband says we should just start over and buy a new machine. He chose this one himself, so Ill probably be waiting a while. Ugh. So frustrated.

Bought Electrolux dishwasher Feb. 2013. So far, three visits from repair man. Even though I listed all of my complaints, repairman said there was nothing wrong with my dishwasher, and left without doing anything. Next visit decides control board is bad. Get new control board, works fine. Serviceman leaves and next day, dishwasher doesnt work, and noticed middle arm hits top basket. This is why top glasses never got clean. Repair man needs to return 4th time because pump does not work. But he needs to see for himself, thus will need to come back 5th time, before one year is up.

We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher and refrigerator - upgrading our current appliances after a remodel. These are the first and last Electrolux items I will ever purchase. The dishwasher had continuous problems with leaking. I had numerous repair companies come out and try to repair the problem - until they told me that the only thing they could do was take the unit to their warehouse, put it up higher and see if they could possibly find the leak - no guarantee. Every technician told me that Electrolux brands are one of the worst to work on. So we got rid of the dishwasher and replaced with another brand. Now it is the refrigerator. I got an EF error code on my display and after unplugging and plugging back in the fridge as the customer service rep at Electrolux instructed me to do, the whole fridge and freezer stopped cooling. This is not the first time I have had to empty my entire fridge and freezer. If you are considering buying Electrolux, read some of the reviews on this thread. They are overpriced and poor quality appliances.

Purchased an Electrolux dishwasher in June of 2014. Have never really been happy with the response of the digital controls, but since we paid almost $1000 figured I would have to grin and bear it. Had to have a service last year because of error code .30. Tech explained that this very seldom happens, but he fixed it and went on his way. Everything was okay until about three weeks ago when the same code came up and you could hear something like water running in the machine. Called repair and they evaluated and advised that repair would be almost $500. At this point I have almost paid 2/3 of the cost of the machine again! Contacted Electrolux and gave them all the info; the repair service furnished to them what would be necessary to repair and the cost of repair.Electrolux is investigating and will get back to me. In the meantime, I have 17 people coming for Thanksgiving with no dishwasher. The service tech indicated this is just representative of any appliance you purchase now. Where did pride in a quality product go? If for no other reason, we need to get manufacturing back in our country in hopes of a different quality outcome. Bottom line: Can you intervene with the manufacturer, which in this case is Electrolux, to help consumers like me?

I bought a brand new Electrolux dishwasher in February. It never worked correctly so I called Electrolux as it was brand new. Over the past 6 months they have sent 5 Electrolux certified repairmen over. Each one has given me a different excuse and remedy. I finally talked to one of these repairmen and asked why I kept getting these remedies and not a replacement and I was informed that if he were to say that the dishwasher needed to be returned or replaced that he might lose his contract as a certified Electrolux repairman. So Im on a hamster wheel now with a VERY expensive non-operational dishwasher.

I waited the 10 days and a technician arrived to fix the problem. He switched out the pacemaker and left. The next day when I still did not have ice, I called to have them come back. Our experience with Electrolux has been terrible to say the least. We purchased a home that was remodeled with all brand new Electrolux appliances. The total bill was almost $11,000 for the Electrolux appliances. Since our purchase of the home, (1.5 years) we have had to replace the Electrolux dishwasher that originally cost $999 before tax, because the unit stopped working and the repair person told us that this particular model EIDW6105GS had a lot of issues. When I tried to contact Electrolux they refused to do anything for us. Thus we had to buy a new Kitchen Aid.Now our refrigerators ice maker has gone out (Model Number EW28BS70IS). Again we had a repair person out to fix it; and he alluded that this particular Icemaker by Electrolux has had many issues with the IceMaker and it cannot be repaired. The whole refrigerator would have to be replaced. And the repair person said Electrolux should replace it. However, Electrolux would not replace it. Even though they recognized it has been a problem, they will not replace it because we purchased the home with the appliance already there. It doesnt really matter who owns the house, the refrigerator has not moved, it is less than 5 years old, it cost $3,500; you would think it should last longer than 5-years. And you would think that Electrolux would be more interested in making it right with their customers when they know that this is a manufacturing issue. Everyone, just save yourself from frustration, do not purchase any Electrolux products to avoid the heartbreak of having to deal with such an inferior product and customer service. Thank you for reading my post.

Worst customer service, next to Fiat Corp, at least. On hold for 55 minutes waiting for a supervisor whom the customer service rep initially refused to get and then the supervisor refused to talk to me. I managed to call on a different phone and a helpful rep got me a supervisor in 8 minutes! Bottom line, my 2 month old Electrolux dishwasher has a plate rack that routinely collapses. After breaking several plates I decided to call for repair. They wanted me to troubleshoot, which I refused since I have moved nothing since getting the unit. The supervisor then informs me that I will be charged for the service call since the racks that hold the plates vertical are considered cosmetic and not functional and therefore not covered? Really? I dont need those racks to have my dishes cleaned? And apparently there are no actual lists of cosmetic and functional parts. It’s all arbitrary and based on what the company wants. Never another Electrolux or Frigidaire for me!

We bought dishwasher and in first 30 days we had Error Code 11 pop up and dishwasher wouldnt start. We bought from Nebraska Furniture Mart and they sent a gentleman out to look at it. He stated it wasnt draining properly and the hose needed to be higher. Less than a year later, just after warranty ran out, it did it again. Electrolux then stated we had to pay for repairs. We had tech come out and charge us for call and stated it could be two parts, the control board or drain valve. We replaced both and it still didnt work. After spending over $1000.00 on this dishwasher and several hundreds of dollars later, we are trashing it and buying a different brand. NEVER buy this product. Bought a brand new house that came with brand new Electrolux appliances including the dishwasher. The buttons get pressed inadvertently during loading and unloading causing the air dry button to get pressed which would lock the control panel. After unlocking the control panel, the air dry option would not work until the main fuse was reset in the garage. This happened at least once a week. Called Electrolux and they sent out Callahan Appliance Repair to fix the dishwasher. They sent the owners son out who claimed that the dishwasher buttons were malfunctioning and he replaced them (he did it so quick that I am not sure he actually did). However, he reported to Electrolux that he replaced the buttons on my microwave!!! He did not do any repairs on my microwave!!!!!Well a few months later, same problem and Electrolux sent Premier appliance out twice because Callahan refused to come out to my house since I called them out on the fake microwave repair. After that in December 2014, just before the warranty was up Electrolux started doing their own repairs and sent an Electrolux tech out. He indicated that the control panel was faulty. He ordered the part and replaced it out and Electrolux extended my repair warranty (parts and labor) till June 2015. However, since he replaced that out, the control panel cover will not fit right and there is space between the control panel and cover due to the heat/steam from the dishwashing cycle. The Electrolux tech has come out and replaced the control panel cover but the problem still is not fixed. It keeps separating from the control board. They have now deemed it not repairable and are willing to replace my dishwasher for me but expect me to pay the cost of the delivery and installation. I think that since it is still under a parts and LABOR warranty it should be replaced at no cost to me. They refuse to fix it now!! I feel that they are not standing by their warranty (Labor included). I have always had Whirlpool appliances and will NEVER buy ELECTROLUX appliances!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! A GOOD COMPANY STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS! WHIRLPOOL DOES! I do not have a receipt for the purchase because I bought a new construction home.

That lady told me that I was told incorrectly and it could 48-72 hours. So after receiving no phone call as of Wednesday June 24th I called again. No supervisor was available but the lady I spoke to said she escalated the request and someone would call me within 24 hours. After again receiving no phone call as of today June 25th I called again. This time the lady said I was again mistold. I was now told it would be 3 business days, not 24 hrs.As you can see I can not understand why no one will call me back and my dishwasher has not been replaced/repaired. Buyer beware, as you can see all over this site the Electrolux refrigerator has a long term known problem. I have experienced the same problems as others, within the first 30 days after purchase I had 5 tech visits to fix the moisture problem coming out of our ice machine. They finally got it to stop dripping, or so we thought. What we have found, now outside of warranty, is that the dripping water was being diverted to the rear of the unit. Building up moisture in the rear insulation of the unit causing the rear wall to swell and rusting the back panel from the inside out. We learned of this because one morning my wife went to get ice and a weird noise happened and the fridge went out. We found that the swelling caused the ice machine to dislodge and a wire fell into the ice, froze in the ice and then was torn out when we turned on the ice maker for ice.We contacted Electrolux and they had another tech come out. The solution - put a 2 foam pad on the back of the unit. So now I have moisture inside of the internal insulation, a fried motherboard, wires exposed and my counter depth unit sticks out of the built in cabinet! To add insult to injury they agreed verbally to provide a labor concession on the ice maker if I bought the parts. After 30 days of arguing I agreed to buy the parts and now they said they never agreed to a labor concession!!! This has been a horribly frustrating process, so do your homework before purchasing from Electrolux. Of the 5 appliances we bought for our new home 3 of them required service in the first 12 months (fridge, microwave and dishwasher). I just wish that Electrolux owned up to their known moisture issue and even outside of warranty stood behind their product. This same issue has been going on for years but I guess they can get by with it! I hope this helps.

I purchased new Electrolux dishwasher from Goedekers.com, was delivered to me in intact box, so nothing to show delivery problem, I open the box and could not see any problem, scheduled installation and the installer discover that under the cover blanket the unit was really beaten up. So I called Electrolux and Goedekers to report the problem. The dishwasher is under 12 mos warranty. They send different appliance repair people to fix it. And the conclusion was the same: Replacement because cant be fix.But after two mos Electrolux/Goedekers game come with the statement: the warranty does not cover the repair (actually Electrolux spent $600 on diagnostics and screwing-unscrewing) + I spend long hrs talking/asking/emailing/listening CS reps, managers, supervisors, corporate executives telling different statements, basically lying and not taking responsibilities. The worst experience in my lifetime and Im 64 years. All this Electrolux/Goedekers reps were advising me to do illegal actions to repair the damage for unit under warranty and all is my mistake that I did not uncover the manufactured blanket when I checked the delivery shipped in intact package box. Also accusing me that I damaged my new dishwasher - insane! I ready to expose the damage that Electrolux and Goedekers are doing.

I had a high end Electrolux dishwasher (5 years old) that needed a new pump. I purchased one through Electrolux that took 20 days to arrive and it arrived with the connecting piece broken in 2 pieces. When I called to report this, I was told I needed a service person to come to my house to verify riptide was actually broken (it was against their policy to either take my word or to accept pictures from me). By now I was getting extremely close to Thanksgiving - desperate for a dishwasher. They refused to send a new pump overnight so I accepted they would send by 2 days and rescheduled repair for a Saturday. Then on Friday the assistant to the CEO (!) told me she canceled my shipment because the documentation on the damaged pump had discrepancies. She accused me of faking the paperwork and also accused the service company of fraud. What possible motive would we have for faking that I received a broken pump?? After an amazingly insulting and frustrating experience with Electrolux I went and bought a new Kitchenaid dish easier today. WOULD NEVER CONSIDER ANOTHER ELECTROLUX PRODUCT.

After furnishing my home in Canada with all Electrolux products, I felt they were good quality and decided to do the same with my new home in the US. Bad choice!! The $4000 refrigerators ice maker went out almost immediately. The serviceman said this was a big problem with Electrolux. He repaired it, but its gone out several times since then. He said Electrolux has a kit they send out to fix the problem, but they didnt offer it to me. The refrigerator went out completely last month, and I lost $500 worth of food. I had to pay for the service call myself, as Electrolux says their warranty is only good for one year. Never mind that I have a long list of calls with complaints. Ice maker is not working again, and now the control panel is going out. This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned and I am very disappointed in Electrolux customer service department. Its just too bad and thats about it, other than I can spend more money on the piece of garbage and maybe then they will extend their warranty??????? The dishwasher was top of the line at the time I bought it too, and its just ok. I have to hand wash everything before putting it in or it wont come out clean. Nothing special about it. Why wasnt I offered the repair kit for a known problem while it was under warranty and I had the problems the kit was for? My service repair rep said they give it to some and not others. You have to say just the right thing????

Had a Dishwasher and Microwave go out on me over the holidays. I seem to be burning out dishwashers at an alarming rate, the computer goes bad or motor goes out, leaks, not having good luck. So getting away from Kitchen Aid and Whirlpool and seeing the problems the new Samsung was having (people pushing chairs up against the door to keep it closed) I decided to go with this dishwasher as it was rated number one on some testing something on another site. They glorified the thing as god's gift to the dishwasher community, so okay. Ordered from Lowes, took it home and installed it. The inside is a little smaller than my last Kitchen Aid so that takes some getting used to as I like to stick car size things inside, huge pots for making spaghetti for 20 people like five gallon stuff, doesn't fit. Regular home, will not have a problem with this dishwasher, I over do it. It cleans better than any of the dishwashers I have had in the past. zed Glasses come out cleaner or more clear, well everything you can see it, I am surprised. Drying kinda sucks. I had turned off my water softener to fill fish tanks and if you use hard water, it does not dry the dishes very well. Turned on the softener, use Jet Dry and it does okay sometimes I got to shake a few things to get them dry when I take it out. The controls is something else I don't like. Press the start button and nothing indicates you made it happen. However if you put your ear to it, it makes a little beep beep sound, very faint. Then you close it and does a little faint song as to say its going and you know its going. For the amount of money I paid for this dishwasher and how well it cleans, I am willing to overlook the small things and I don't mind drying one or two things by hand, but others might see it differently. I like it and its doing good, so 5 stars. One more thing, I do BBQ and no other dishwasher can get some of the meat pans clean. I usually wash them in the dishwasher just to make it easier to do it by hand. This dishwasher actually cleans the pans first time out. Makes me wonder how long my dishes are going to last getting blasted clean like that, but I like the less work that is involved.
