We bought a two-door dishwasher. It was on sale. It seemed to be way above a very well made machine as far as I can tell. It’s extremely quiet (I can’t believe a dishwasher can be that quiet). However when we got the machine home and opened the box, there were a few parts missing. And so we contacted the company, and without hesitation, they just shipped right off the few little parts that were missing and it worked out very well for us. Their customer service is definitely a 10!

Every white towel we washed, including high quality ones purchased this year, has developed holes. To be sure that we weren’t adding too much bleach, we have only filled the bleach dispenser half full and diluted it with water to the fill mark. We are about to throw this washer out and get a different one. Another thing we don’t like is that you can’t fill the tub with enough water to just soak things.

The worst I ever had! If you need to deal with F&P at Botany, 78 Springs Road RUN!! To replace the faulty draws I have to take 4 days off work!! After waiting the whole day it for delivery, it was delivered 4:45 pm and left downstairs cause the delivery company, (which it seems to be separate to company that installs - very efficient) didnt know it needs to go to the 2nd floor (and no one asked - great communication NOT).Second time 2 guys got it upstairs and then I had to book a technician to install - No follow up service, and the guys that bring the dishwasher dont tell you anything about it. When I called to book the technician, I explicitly asked if the old dishwasher will be picked up on the same day and I was reassured it will, but guess what it wasnt! And now I need to take another day off for it to be picked up! In addition to this, the supervisor I talked to was rude and refused to put me to her manager, she just hang the phone me! So GOOD LUCK dealing with F&P.

I bought a Fisher and Paykel dishwasher DishDrawer. The brand is very expensive, but I liked the DishDrawer feature and I was willing to pay more thinking it was a good and reputable brand. It turned out to be nothing but trouble. Countless service calls later and I finally gave up about two years ago and started washing dishes by hand. I bought this unit when I was remodeling my kitchen, so I decided to buy the unit that allows you to put the custom cabinet panels on it. So, I wasted the money not only on the dishwasher, but also on the custom cabinet panels. Not only that, but simply replacing the unit would not just be an extra expense I could not afford, but it would also change the look of my kitchen, which I spent so much time and money remodeling. Every time I would call the one and only service company in town to come out, it would work only slightly better and soon stop working again. It never seemed to work at 100% capacity. I think I spent more money on service calls than the actual appliance. How sad is that.

After 14 years, my double dish drawer (Model: DD 6021 / Serial Number: 88247AUD550367) has corroded in the frame in such a way that whenever I try to wash a load, it leaks and triggers the float switch. I tried to seal the corroded area with some silicon but it did not work. I assume that the only way to correct this is to purchase a new dish washer; one that lasts longer than 14 years. With the initial cost of this machine, I would not expect to be replacing it due to simple corrosion. I really liked how it worked.

The reason we picked Fisher & Paykel refrigerator is because we have a built-in space and we had to have a certain width. This one came close. I could not find any other in the stores around here. I went to Lowes and asked them if they could order it and they said yes. Our Sub-Zero had gone completely out. Weve had it for about 30 year. I was used to the old one but I love this one. I love the interior and everything except for one thing. There is no meat tray in it. And my husband would like it if a jug of milk could fit into the door. When it was delivered it had marks on the door and I got in touch with Fisher & Paykel about it. They told me theyre going to send someone to redo the doors or give us new doors. These were blemishes and theyre getting it taken cared of.

We were looking for a second refrigerator in our home, and went to a company called Pacific Sales. They were closing that particular store, and the Fisher & Paykel unit we bought was probably a previous years floor model. Its got a lot of bells and whistles, one of which was not working - some alarms thing or something was bad. We called the service company and they came out and took care of it. It was a new unit and it had this problem... but other than that everythings been great. We had not really heard of the brand prior to making the purchase, but are very happy with it now that we have it.

In April we purchased a $2000 Fisher Paykel fridge with water and ice maker. We quickly realized the door did not close properly and was misaligned as the water/ice maker worked roughly one week on one week off. We called our dealer and they sent out a service representative who told us the water/ice maker could be replaced but he didnt know how to fix the misalignment of the door. He said he would get back to me. By late July nothing had happened and he basically washed his hands of it telling me the Fisher Paykel regional manager had ordered parts and would get back to us. By late September the parts had still not arrived so we started contacting Fisher Paykel America for help. They kept referring everything back to the regional manager who, for some reason, refused to contact us with updates. We were still waiting for a fix when they told us in October that the fridge misalignment could not be fixed. We asked for another fridge and was told that they didnt make this model any more and the closest model that would fit in our space was $500 more and was 0.5 cu. feet smaller. I asked that they replace our fridge with this one at no extra cost and they refused only offering an in-store credit for the original amount. Sorry I expect more for all the grief and inconvenience they have cased us.

Fisher-Paykel has apparently spent the majority of their resources on engineers that design a product to last no more than 2 years. I purchased a VERY expensive Fisher-Paykel refrigerator, model number RF175WDRUX1 from Lowes in Lake Worth, Texas on January 17, 2013. In late November of 2014 the fridge stopped working. After reviewing the paperwork, I discovered that Fisher-Paykel offered a 5 year limited warranty.Called Lowes, they put me in contact with a repair facility, called Fisher-Paykel (super nice folks on the phone, but all good con-artists need a good front operation). It is now 6 weeks since my service call: Parts are still on backorder. THIS IS A SCAM MANUFACTURER. There is no excuse for a 6-week backorder in a day when I can order anything from China and have it on my doorstep within 3 days.As I write this, Lowes has me on permanent hold. So, my advice: DO NOT BUY FROM LOWES AND DO NOT BUY FISHER-PAYKEL PRODUCTS. The sad part is that no matter how nice or patient you are, you will not get any traction with Lowes or Fisher-Paykel unless and until you are prepared to file a Deceptive Trade Practices lawsuit.Fisher-Paykel is an insult to New Zealanders...they make products engineered to fail and engage in ongoing deceit on U.S. Consumers. Classic Deceptive Trade Practices by Fisher-Paykel. Texas consumers should avoid their products.

I purchased a washer and dryer from Lowes. Within a year both needed service, under warranty. The following year both again needed service, the motor in the washer and the board on the dryer. $600 in repairs. Neither under warranty. I spoke with F&P and they wouldnt assist on the repair. On year three, the dryer went out again. I spoke to F&P and they told me to get a repair estimate and they would aid in the repair. The repairman, the only F&P rep in town, told me the units were junk even though they were on their high end. I called back to F&P with the estimate, $250 + $80 diagnostics, and was told, you have lemons. That is the nature of the world we live in. Too bad. I trashed the 3 year old units and replaced with something else. Avoid this company. The units are flimsy to say the least.

We had bought a new Fisher & Paykel dishwasher. It sat for awhile. We were in the middle of doing our model, installed it and it wouldnt run so I had registered the unit and she insisted that I show the proof even. They repaired it and then asked me for a copy of my receipt. Theyve done nothing but harass me. Theyre charging me $135 for something that they never even said, We may have to bill for this. Well have to send it through to see if its covered under warranty. They just fixed it and then called me and said, How come you havent paid this? They didnt even give me an invoice but call me and harass. I just got a phone call a couple of days ago again. I would never ever use them. It was horrible.

I have a Fisher Paykel washer and dryer that’s a little over 3 years old. The washing machine agitator broke, and it wouldnt drain water. Now it is fixed, but it doesnt even really clean the clothes and doesnt spin the water out like advertised. The dryer is junk. We have had a certified Fisher Paykel repair man try to fix it twice. It took a while for the part to come in, and then it didnt fix the problem. I just recently replaced the bearing assembly, and it still sounds like the dryer is going to literally take off through the ceiling. I have contacted customer service, only to have the wrong part sent to me. When I called to let them know they sent the wrong part, I was told that the part I needed would cost me an additional $50 dollars. I cant express how upset I am that I paid the money for this set when the washer and dryer were under warranty; it probably should have just been replaced. The customer service always had some crazy solution or excuse! I will never recommend this brand to anyone. I would rather hand wash and dry my clothes than to have to listen to the loud, ridiculous noises that come from the washer and dryer. I dont understand how a company can sell something and not even bother to warranty or care about their product or their customers! Company failure!

I purchased a Fisher Paykel Washer and Dryer from Sears roughly 4 years ago. Dryer stopped heating. I found a repair person, had to order parts. It is now 1.5 weeks later and the parts are finally in. It will be another day or so before the repairman can come over, $330 for repair and two weeks of hanging clothes or going to laundromat for drying. I would have to seriously reconsider purchasing this brand again with this type of wait for parts.

In most ways, this range is just what we hoped it would be, but the noisy fan that blows oven-cooling air across the burners whenever the ovens are heated over 300 degrees leaves us dissatisfied with this range. We have an open kitchen/dining/living room and the fan noise makes us avoid using the ovens if we have guests or just want a quiet evening. The good points for this range are many, however. We love the griddle and use it almost daily. It has even heat and very sensitive temperature control. Likewise, the burners are very nice. The simmer is just wonderful, just warm enough to keep a sauce warm but not hot enough to burn. The high range heats water very fast cutting the time for heating pasta water or bringing canning water up to temperature. Cleanup of both the griddle and burners is easy with the sealed cooktop. The grates are heavy and secure. Its easy to slide heavy pots across the cooktop. We bought a two-oven model for big family gatherings, like holidays. It is so disappointing that they are so noisy. So, overall, we really can not say we are satisfied, although we feel that the range is well made and otherwise well-designed.

I purchased a 2 drawer Fisher Paykel dishwasher approximately 1 1/2 years ago. My contractors correctly installed the dishwasher and from the beginning, there were large pools of water at the bottom of the top drawer. Five service calls later and a call to (I use the term hesitantly) FPs customer service department, my dishwasher was supposedly fixed. Each time the repairman came, he found something he thought was causing the issue. When I spoke to customer service, they told me my contractors did not install the dishwasher correctly. I had my contractors come back to ensure they installed it correctly (this was confirmed by the repairman). Customer service refused to do anything for me (this was after waiting on hold for 45 minutes). My dishwasher no longer has pools of water on the bottom; however, the dishes are NEVER clean and I basically have to wash dishes by hand before putting them in the dishwasher. I called the appliance store where I purchased the dishwashers a number of months ago to again complain about the dishwasher. The salesman said he would follow up with FP. I again followed up with the salesman a few weeks later and again, nothing was done. I would never purchase a FP product again. I am now looking for a new dishwasher. The experience has been horrible and very frustrating. I would never recommend anyone purchase this product.

I’m pissed off because the dryer was about four years old and I had to have it worked on about three times and ended up throwing it away. On the top load, the plastic parts just broke and the door wouldn’t come up and jammed. It got brittle and broke out. I spent about $900 for this dryer. Right at four years and it just fell apart. The bearings went out about two times. And one of the switches went out. And the door got misaligned. The parts must have been breaking then and so it caught and bent the door. I loved that dryer but I had to get a front load. The top load was more convenient for me. I am not satisfied because of the parts. They need to change the parts. The hard plastic parts dry out and become brittle when it gets heated enough and the bearings they use on there should be linear bearings as they are much smoother rolling and quieter bearings. I could have gone and got another type of dryer than go back to Fisher & Paykel, but I went back to Fisher & Paykel because that’s what I believe in and I got the service out of it, but, if I have another disappointment, they won’t get anything else from me again

Do not buy an FP washing machine. My pump leaked and shorted out the control board. Even their certified tech said FP knew about the problem but didnt do anything about it. It shouldve been recalled or offered free replacement. My washer is less about 4 1/2 years old. They said they would not stand behind it because I didnt have excessive problems with it previously. EcoSmart Washer - I bought this machine from Lowes about 6 years ago and have loved it! No problems, cleans well, etc., until now. I called the customer service number because the machine would not power on. I was told to call one of the 2 approved service companies in Kansas City. Neither one was rated well for their service! Lots of complaints. They would not return my calls. It took almost 2 weeks to get an appointment and the tech was late, rude, etc. Refused him access and called a different company with same day service. Its now 2 weeks after that (4 total, going to the laundromat!). The current company cant seem to order the correct part, are late or no shows for appointments and cant seem to give me a dollar or time estimate for service. I could not be more frustrated. Approximately seven years ago, we purchased a Fisher Paykel washer from a local Lowes. I really liked the idea of using less water. The change from a regular dial machine to electronic push button seemed like a nice update. I will say that the only thing I like about this machine was that the spin cycle was very efficient and the clothes had much less moisture, resulting in far less drying time in the clothes dryer. The purpose of my review is to warn everyone what a horrible experience we have had with this brand. We have had to have this machine repaired four times by a professional. We have spent more money on repairs than the original purchase of the machine. We will never purchase anything by Fisher Paykel again. I strongly warn others about this brand. Over the course of three years we have had 6 service calls on the Fisher Paykel dish drawer dishwasher. The hoses crack and water has leaked onto my wood floor causing damage 3 times. Another time, the electric board needed replacing, and just two weeks ago the entire magnet and inner workings on the top drawer need to be replaced. The total cost of this last repair is $600. Before this current dishwasher, we owned the first generation Fisher Paykel dish drawer. It was as horrible as our current one. There is absolutely no customer service or help from Fisher Paykel. They blame every defective part and problem on the water, or detergent, or operator error etc. Do not ever buy a Fisher Paykel unless you have piles of money and time lying around. We purchased an F&P EcoSmart Washer and Dryer set in 2009. Six months later, the dryer began making high-pitched squeaking noises. We figured it was the design and just covered our ears when drying clothes. The squeaking turned into moaning, and the moaning turned into unbearable metal-on-metal gnashing - its abhorrent. To top it off, the dryer drum has now shifted off of the tracks, meaning that it must be manually forced back onto the tracks and pried open with human hands.Im sick of fighting my dryer for custody of my clothes. I contacted F&P about this last month, and they told me to contact an authorized F&P service company. One hundred dollars an hour to diagnose the problem, plus $100 an hour for repairs, plus parts? No, thanks. Id rather go buy a new Kenmore. Until that lovely day, I ensure everyone who steps foot in my house and hears the travesty in the laundry room knows its a Fisher and Paykel!

I bought a FP washer and dryer. The washer had a valve go bad after a few years leaking water and costing me a lot to fix it. The dryer opened during a cycle and spit my clothes out on the motor a little over 3 years old. I was told the repairman never had one apart and did not go to FP repair school. That means I would have to pay him to practice on my dryer. I also thought I was buying a unit that would last for several years. I am waiting to hear from FP and the store I bought it from if there is some type of compensation. I am very disappointed and would talk to anyone concerning my experience, even FP if they would listen.

I was first introduced to Fisher Paykel dishwasher drawers about 6 years ago. They were two drawers placed separately on either side of the kitchen sink. They were really wonderful and I had no problems with them. I then bought and renovated two new homes and put fisher paykel dishwashing drawers in both homes. They are the stacked drawers. Have not had problem with them except the bottom one started leaking and the top one smells horribly of mold. I feel it in my lungs every time I breathe in the air after opening the top drawer. I called customer service and spoke to someone from New Zealand (very difficult time understanding her) who said that I should use let it shine from Home Depot and run it through a cycle. Well this did not help so now I have to endure this terrible mold smell every time I open the top drawer. After this experience I am very doubtful I would ever buy another fisher paykel product.

I bought this washer (Fisher & Paykel Washing Machine) as a highly recommended low maintenance machine. At the least, I am dissatisfied; at the most, angry. I am retired and live on a fixed income. I did research myself as to possible causes of the constant drip of 6 inches of hot water into the tub and the low level screeching of the tub as it spins. As for repair, I was only able to find one resource for a possible part that caused the dripping. When I called, I was treated rudely and they refused to help me and stated Id have to pay a large fee just to have it diagnosed. So, I asked what the charge would be if it was found to need a hot water valve leaking and if the screeching was a bad bearing. I was told the bearings never go bad and that I didnt know anything. Then, the woman from the shop hung up! I love being treated badly! Your customer service is nasty and non-existent!

First washer purchased in 2001 had problem going from wash cycle to rinse in 2006. We tried contacting Fisher & Paykel and got no response, no support, and no help! We replaced a diverter valve, and then a circuit board, only to have wasted our money. We wrote a formal letter to F & P Customer Care USA (Irvine, CA) on Sept 21, 2007 letting F & P know that the diverter valve and circuit board only lasted 9 months before it repeated. No response was ever received from F & P Customer Care USA. That pretty sums up the amount of support/customer care you will receive. We liked the technology; and despite the lack of support, customer service, or response, we bought a GW12 and disposed of our six-year-old GWll. No problem with our GW12 from 2007 until 2013. Now, our GW12 is having the same problem! It appears that both of our Fisher & Paykel washers only have a six-year life cycle. I will write another formal letter to Fisher & Paykel Customer Care USA, but I do not expect I will ever hear from Fisher & Paykel. From my perspective, Fisher & Paykel washers have a planned obsolescence of six years, and clearly they lack an infrastructure for support or customer service in the USA. I would recommend that you only buy their products if you like changing your major appliances out frequently. If you do purchase Fisher & Paykel products in the USA, then expect to be on your own with no support or any customer service. One last item, the letters to FP Consumer Customer Care USA contained two emails for response and one mobile phone number. It is on 24/7, 365 days a year!

We had a double drawer dishwasher installed as part of our kitchen refurbishment last May. Within two months, the dishwasher would not drain. Contacted customer service - NOT - and after being on hold for a long time, I was finally told to contact a company called Millers Ltd. UK to arrange an engineer to come and fix the problem. This company sent out one of the rudest young men I have ever encountered and he left the dishwasher un-repaired, so we had to contact the kitchen company to make other arrangements, dishwasher fixed. In February 2015 the tines in the tray of the upper drawer broke. I went online to order a new tray and tines at a total cost of £73.40, I ordered what was in the photo on Fisher & Paykel website. The tray arrived without the tines. After several phone calls and mindless music, I finally managed to convince an assistant called Ula that if she checked her website, she would see what I thought I was ordering and therefore could she send me the tines. This she did and they all snapped while trying to fix them to the tray. We have since managed to do a DIY job on this tray. In March of this year, the upper drawer again would not drain, clean the dishes - so back onto Fisher Paykel and the awful music. Again given a number to contact to arrange an engineer to visit, told the assistant about our previous experience and asked that that company not be used again. A very helpful engineer arrived the next day and instantly knew the problem and replaced the rotor in the upper drawer, he had one on-hand as he had dealt with this problem several times. July, both drawers very noisy, not cleaning dishes and a red light and bleeping from the upper drawer. Contact Fisher & Paykel and again straight onto the awful music, finally get through to Hannah, who cannot find a contact number for my post code. Oops its my fault that she misheard my post code and was looking in the wrong area. I explain as best I can the problem and previous history, she tells me to contact the previous company I used in March. This I do to be informed that they no longer deal with Fisher & Paykel as their machines have multiple problems. Contact Fisher & Paykel and Hannah, again to be given a number which turns out to be Millers UK, a company I will never use or recommend. Try to contact Hannah again but am beaten by the awful music. Instead I am now getting an independent assessment of the machine and will be going back to the kitchen company that recommended the dishwasher and installed it, as to whether or not they will have to replace it with a better-quality machine.

This is my second Fisher & Paykel dishwasher. It has not been stellar. The dishwasher has broken for the third time in four years. The response from Fisher & Paykel has equaled my dishwasher experience. Four calls to get a response. They only offered to pay for parts and labor when parts were replaced the last 2 times. I believe a third breakdown in four years deserves a new dishwasher and no payment for service call. Very disappointed.

I purchased a Fisher & Paykel two-drawer dishwasher, my first F&P purchase. We had a designer help us redo our kitchen. We have a very tiny kitchen. She suggested it as space saving. The traditional one, the big door practically blocked the entire way; the dishwasher was at the end of the counter and when you open the door, there was hardly any room to walk in the kitchen. The drawers of this F&P dishwasher take up less space when you open them up and when you put dishes in, you don’t block the way to the kitchen. It’s very, very good! We especially like the function of it that you can do half a load at a time. We have a little 7 year old who lives with us and our daughter, and with all of us, a lot of dishes go through there and we don’t run out of dishes anymore, because she does little half loads and they’re ready. It’s very convenient and easy. And the quality, the way the dishes come out, they look very clean, very nice. We’re very happy because besides function, the other things with the space saving and ergonomically, the way it can be standing upright and drop things in, it’s just really nice all around! It’s very quiet as well.

I have purchased 3 Fisher and Paykel drawer dishwashers. Ive moved three times and each time Ive moved, Ive purchased them. I used to do the stacked ones but in this house, I decided to do the single drawer and do two of them and I like that better than the stacked. It works better for me. Its nice not to have to bend down because I have a bad back. It seems like the water would sit in bottom drawer of the dishwasher and the bottom one didnt wash as well as the top one. So this time, I did not have a problem. They work great. I wouldnt keep buying it over again if I wasnt happy.

Was also told to put the tablets down the side of the draw. They tried to change the settings 3 times and it still don’t wash properly. My grandchildren have been in hospital with bad stomachs and we have put it down to the substandard dishwasher. We were told they would replace it and had a call from them but they have never come to replace it. I have called them at least 20 times and emailed with no outcome. I lost my home to a hurricane and decided to rethink refrigeration and dishwashers due to space. The appliance companies that my builder uses carries this brand but mentioned not many people have ordered them so they had no feedback. Searching the web, I found few brands that had “drawers” for refrigerators or dishwashers. So I ordered two drawer dishwashers and one integrated cool drawer from this company. Granted I have had them installed a month so I have had no product issues yet. But the integrated cool drawer indicated in the installation guide that there was a “false” panel for the bottom chassis of the unit (otherwise the bottom portion of the unit was exposes the compressor unit). The stainless steel drawer door was wonderful but then you see the compressor. My builder thought there should of been a stainless steel cover for the compressor. Me too. After three months of me initiating phone conversations, 4 different tech representatives, numerous emails (some said they had a cover to send me, some said they would check), I got ahold of Chana. I personally loved their Australian accents, but Chana’s tone of voice made it clear that even though she was told a black panel was available, she talked to her technical team again and there was no panel available. A false panel, as indicated in the installation guide, needs to be to the specifications of your cabinetry. It is to be built by the carpentry people and most builders understand that terminology. Even though the website isn’t clear and the installation guide isn’t clear that no panel is provided and you will need to build one, she became more frustrated with me when I asked if there were other solutions that her company could provide. Can I buy that black panel? Can we please double check the materials list to make sure there is nothing in there about an aftermarket piece? As an end user, not a builder or installer, false panels are not in my everyday vocabulary. Chana made me feel as though it should of been. My sadness about this situation is not about the fact that I have to go back to builder after three months to have more cabinetry work done but the fact that I had to keep following up for an answer over a three month period and I was talked to as if I should of known better. Like the title implies - I think the products are good just not their approach to treating customers after the fact. That is why they didn’t get a higher rating. The true test that differentiates a good company from a great one is how they treat the customer not only before the sale but afterwards.

After saving for a few years we purchased a DCS duel fuel range model Rds366ss. The stove was $5695, the vented hood was another $1295 and the back panel and shelf kit was another $395. Since purchased, the oven would heat higher than the required temp and after several tech visits with no results, we decided to live with it, adjusting the temp as we cooked. Then after a couple of years I had to repair all six of the spark igniters. Now after nine years, the stove has quit working altogether and after another tech visit we were told the oven thermostat had failed and needed a new one, part#210766. Calling DCS customer care for a replacement we were told the part was no longer available and there were no replacement parts for it. After checking many websites we found that the part was indeed obsolete with no substitute parts that would work in its place.Calling DCS back and speaking with a customer service tech we were told that maybe the part could be found used online. Another option was maybe we should consider buying another stove! Are you kidding me. After spending all this money on a stove we thought would last at least twenty years, were told we should think about buying a new stove after only nine years. We are so mad at ourselves for not researching this stove before purchasing it and now after reading nothing but negative reviews for the products made by Fisher-Paykel. We are stunned that a huge company like this can getaway with this consumer robbery. Wish there was some way to warn people about buying from this company and its total disregard for customer satisfaction.

I bought a Fisher and Paykel Eco-Smart wash machine May 2007. I paid $744.35 for the washer and I also bought an extended warranty. However, over the years I lost my receipt and of course no one could find where I paid for the extended warranty. I began having problems with the washer within a year. First several times, no problem. However the sixth year, this year in March, I was told that my washer was no longer under warranty and there was no extended contract on file. The reason I bought the extended contract was because the washer was already covered for 5 years and 2 extra years was very appealing given my previous experience with wash machines.I have been a home owner for 30 years and that was my 3rd wash machine. I have never paid that much money for a wash machine and had I known it was no better than any of the other (used) included, I would not have invested so much. I will never buy another Fisher and Paykel and never another major appliance from Lowes.

The first time I heard about F&P was when we lived in Charlotte… Guess I heard it advertised. And then the company that we always did business with, Plaza Appliance, were the ones that started carrying them in Charlotte. Actually, our appliance repairman recommended them because he said they’re so easy to fix and dependable and everything and they really did turn out to be true…We had to shop for new appliances because when we moved out of Charlotte the people who bought our house wanted our appliances so we couldn’t take them with us and the first thing we bought from F&P was a washer in 2004 (almost 10 years old). Then in 2008 we purchased a dishwasher. It’s just a little bit different… I got the two-drawer dishwasher and the top drawer is a little deeper. They were equal on the other one we had. But oh, I love the drawers! I heard that they were actually making them for other high-end companies. But I don’t know if they’re still doing it, but when they first came out, I think they premiered the double drawer. Lastly, back in May, we bought a dryer because our old Kenmore after 39 years died. People didn’t think I’d get that out of a Fisher & Paykel, but you never know… I really didn’t consider buying anything else other than F&P since we’ve already had these for such a long time. As far as what I’ve had in the past, we tended to keep things a long, long time until they just died. So we absolutely love the washer and never had a minute’s trouble; the dishwasher was 5 years old and we never had a minute’s trouble. And so, hopefully, it will continue to be that way…

I went to Warners Stellian here in the Twin Cities. I asked what are my options for a 36-inch unit. I had no background on Fisher & Paykel. I got their 36-inch stove. It works, it heats up to temperature. The burners on top are a little bit more aggressive. I would have liked to have a different simmer burner than what I have on there but all things considered, I would give it a 9 out of 10. It is beautiful. I didnt buy it originally because of cost. Its truly a beautiful piece of equipment. I would definitely consider, its a beautiful artistic design and it looks absolutely stunning in my kitchen. It was nineteen years before I got a kitchen remodel and it is a beautiful piece.. Theres a glitch for some reason - if I start the burner on top, it can turn the oven off, I have to be real careful for that. Im not sure why, I should probably check into it. But this is what I like the best out of it and Ill be honest with you - the oven heats to temperature PERFECTLY. And I have such a respect for that because thats what its supposed to do. Thats why you buy an oven! That Whirlpool took an hour to heat to 300 and you have to set it. You dont have enough paper to write my comments on that one.

I was one of those customers that was highly encouraged to buy a Fisher & Paykel Washer and Dryer. I was one of the lucky ones that purchased an extended warranty but that doesnt do anything for inconvenience. I have had to have my dryer worked on about five times. Once I had to wait for over eight weeks which means lugging wet clothes to the laundry mat to dry them. Ive had my washer worked on about four times. Now, my extended warranty is up on both machines and I noticed that my washer is leaking water. It seems that the water is coming from the top of the machine. I tilted the machine back and the only part that is wet is the side. I have read on the web that many other people are having the same problem. I purchased the washer in 2006 and the dryer in 2007. I really expected to get at least ten years out of these appliances since they are not cheap.

This was my official complaint to Fisher and Paykel. I bought your product
This was my official complaint to Fisher and Paykel. I bought your product (washer and dryer) from Lowes 4 years ago. I spent roughly $1600-$1700. The product ran pretty well, and I enjoyed them for most part until our dryer stopped heating. I assumed it was the heating element, so I called around to see if I could have some service it. No one other than A&E Appliance Company services it. Every appliance service company said they used to service it, but could not get info and parts for them so they stopped. A&E sent someone out here for the service. He had no idea how to work on it. He spent 2 hours trying to open the dryer and had to have someone on the phone the whole time to tell him what to do. He finally determined it was the heating element at 8:00 at night. He said he would order the part and schedule a follow up appointment. I waited a week; no call from them. I called them up and asked what the deal was. They had no record of my previous appointment and said no one had ordered the part or made another appointment. I asked if they could give me the servicemans number. They said they did not have their numbers. I asked if they could get in touch with them and they said they would page them to call me. Three days later, no call. I called back and they said they would page them again. Three days later, no call. I said the heck with it and searched for the part myself. I found it, installed it but now there seems to be an electrical problem. I used my meter reader to find where the power failure was at. I thought I found the part that was needed. I went and bought another part, installed it and still it doesnt work. At that point we were a month in and I was $300 down. I was at the point where I was going to buy another dryer and sink the Fisher and Paykel dryer in the closest pond. I called 1 888 936 7872 and explained to them the situation and asked if Fisher and Paykel could make any suggestions before I sunk this piece of junk. They asked for me to call A&E again. I explained that I could not get anyone to come out here and that if I did, I would have to pay at least another $300-$400 for diagnostics, parts and labor. I only paid about $800 for it so that was out of the question. The representative then told me that she would open a file for me and F&P would make sure A&E came out and fixed it at no charge to us. For this I said, that would be great service and show the consumer that F&P was committed to service. We opened a file #** and they said they would call A&E to ensure someone came out to service me ASAP (at no charge). A&E calls me 2 days later and says we will be out there this morning to take a look at it, but I would be charged. I explained that F&P was to handle the charges. They said no. The service request mentioned nothing of that. They asked me to call F&P and sort it out so now I have to be acting as liaison between A&E and F&P. I called F&P again and I had to explain the whole situation again. This time the rep tells me they can probably waive the diagnostic fee but thats it. I said no, forget it, Ill go buy a dependable brand. She said she would contact Michael, who was the person that had authorized the request before, and she said she would call me later that day to let me know what she found out. Two days later, no call. I called A&E and asked if F&P has contacted them; nope! I call F&P again and asked for the status of my request. They say, Oh, no one submitted that request. At this point, I have had enough of playing liaison and being a sucker. I just went to Sears, bought a Maytag and have an $800 F&P dryer sitting in my laundry room that I am about to sink into a pond. I have NEVER in my life experienced such incompetence from two companies. I promise you I will never buy any F&P product ever again, and I have already begun spreading the word to my friends and whoever will listen. If you would like to get in contact with me, you can visit my new Facebook page. Dont ever buy a Fisher and Paykel appliance. I and many others are sick and tired of the lack of service this company provides. Your company’s service, along with A&E’s, is horrible!

My F&P oven was new when I purchased my apartment in 2017. A year later, I experienced problems with the interior lights and the glass ceiling that protected the roasting elements. F&P directed me to their authorized repair company in South Florida, Appliance Service Group, Inc. of Pembroke Pines, FL. I paid them over $800 in advance on Feb. 1, 2019 (they told me that the warranty was for only 1 year, when it is 2 years but F&P finally agreed to honor the warranty after I contacted them). However, my oven still has not been fixed as of April 17, 2019 - a 2 1/2 month delay. ASG has told me several lies about the delay....a part is on backorder, the wrong part was ordered, the part had to come from NZ, etc. I have been promised on several occasions that it would be repaired within 5 to 7 business days. It hasnt and for over 2 1/2 months I have been without the use of my oven. F&P and its authorized service agents are not to be trusted.

On July 19, 2012, I wrote a complaint regarding a Fisher & Paykel washing machine I purchased just two years ago and how I had ongoing problems with the machine, starting at about the fifth month. I called the service company twice while under warranty and they were unable to figure out what was wrong with the machine. I have since learned that it was because the company that Sears uses was inexperienced with this product. I also called the Fisher & Paykel main office and unfortunately was turned away as my machine was no longer under warranty. I even tried to explain my experiences and how the service men were unable to repair it. So after two years of frustration with a non-functioning washing machine, we decided to purchase a 30-year old Speed Queen washing machine and take the newer Fisher & Paykel machine to the landfill. Before taking it to the landfill, I wrote my complaint on this website. That was July 19th. On August 3rd, much to my surprise, I received a generic response from Fisher & Paykel asking me to contact their Customer Service Manager. I called the phone number the next day, left a message and the manager called me back. Although she did not personally read my online complaint, she was genuinely concerned that I had a bad experience and wanted to make it right. She offered at their cost to have a local, experienced repair company come to my house to fix the machine. Within 5 minutes, the local repair company called me to set up an appointment. They came out, fixed the machine in 5 minutes with a $15 part. What?! Thats all it took, 5 minutes and a $15 part? How could the other repairmen not get this one right? The total repair, if I had to pay for this service call, would have cost approximately $165. The only reason we didnt take this route to begin with is because we already tried two repairmen and two years of frustration. So, we gave up and were cutting our losses. But now, I have a washing machine that is working flawlessly. Its amazing! Although I didnt get the service I expected from the company in the beginning, it goes to show that a bad experience could change into a good one when someone with authority wants to make it right. Thank you, Fisher & Paykel for coming through on this one. I hope to have this machine for many years to come.

I am a rural American, I have used the Fisher & Paykel washing machine for 4 years and have continually smelled mold and mildew. Today, the washer spilled water all over my laundry room, so I took the entire machine apart. As I suspected, there was mold and slime all over it. Why does water sit on the bottom of this washing machine all the time and what can I do to correct this problem other than go buy a GE?

We purchased a Fisher Paykel washer and dryer from a local Lowes just about 3 years ago. When the new appliances were delivered, within the first week the dryer had to be replaced because the frame was bent out of shape and was not repairable. Our dryer stopped drying clothes in the last couple of months. We called the repairman who came and diagnosed the situation as the board had gone out and would need to be replaced as well as the reset switch. He told us our laundry room was a bit too small and that had caused the dryer to overheat. So why hadnt it done this in the last 3 years? The repair bill was over 300.00 dollars and the repairman suggested that we might need to leave the front cover off the dryer so it wouldnt overheat. He replaced the cover.Within the first month after the repair, it did it again so we took off the front cover and hit the reset switch and it worked again. The dryer blew the circuit breaker 2 weeks ago. 4 days ago, the dryer overheated and smelled hot throughout our upstairs. We unplugged the dryer and let it cool down. We have put well over $1000 in this dryer and it is not good. We will not purchase another Fisher Paykel appliance again and would not recommend this company to anyone.

We purchased a refrigerator ( fisher & paykel ) when we remodeled our kitchen. After 3 years, the door alarm kept beeping after we closed the door. This would keep going until we opened the door and pushed the button inside. We called the company and tried everything they suggested, to no avail. We went online and found that many other consumers had the same problem. Finally, we asked for an authorized service company. They recommended KAM appliances. It cost 95 dollars to get them to come out and tell us that they needed a part to make the repair. When they returned, they told us that the part was defective and they would talk to F& P again. They came out a third time and then the refrigerator would not work at all. We were told that it could not be fixed. We called F & P and they told us we were out of warranty and offered us a pro rated price on a new refrigerator.

The motherboard on the less than 1 year old Fisher & Paykel dryer went out and someone is lying. Sounded fishy since the retailer told me that the motherboards are on back order. F & P wont send me a new part. I called the retailer back and was told the F & P wont release the part until Feb. 20th. Thats CRAP. I dont want to wait 3 more weeks till the parts come in. The retailer told me he has several other customers waiting. How many people are waiting on this part and how many parts are going to be released on Feb. 20th. The closest laundromat is 6 miles away.

It was scheduled for repair on next visit. It’s not very promising for reliability after literally one use for a load of towels. I plan to work with Lowe’s in April to determine a return/replacement. I got the panel ready two drawer dishwasher and built in fridge freezer columns. It has been difficult to get the panels adjusted to fit with the kitchen cabinets. Paid $1200 to have the appliances professionally installed and it still doesnt look right. The appliance installers blame it on the cabinets and cabinet installers blame it on the appliances. The panels on the appliances just dont have enough adjustability to make it line up with the rest of the cabinets. I am very disappointed with the look of the kitchen. Its supposed to be a higher end, custom kitchen and it looks worse than if we just got regular appliances. I regret getting the built-in appliances.

I have just bought a Fisher and Paykel fridge (E373L WW). I chose this brand only because nobody else makes a fridge of this size without a freezer. Well, nobody whose products are imported into New Zealand, anyway. I dont need a freezer. I lost confidence in Fisher Paykel many years ago. It is so hard to believe this company was once so highly revered by every New Zealand housewife. They made washing machines and fridges that never break down; well, not until well into old age. I still have in use a chest freezer made by them in the 1970s. They must have made enough profit in those days making products that lasted. Why cant they still do so? My fridge is only 6 weeks old and appears to be working fine. The two stars is not for the fridge but the company.

I had purchased a 6 burner range with DCS brand. The hinges have failed over the years so thought I would replace them. There are many places to buy the parts but thought I would go right to the source. I ordered parts and was assured delivery within 5-7 days. After 2-1/2 weeks I called them. They have no proof of the order. I sent them the confirmation that they sent me showing order number, price, and charged credit card. I sent that back to them and that was not enough proof. I had to go track down and submit proof from my credit card statement that I was in fact charged. I sent that to them and still have not heard anything back. I will give it one more day and then I will fight it with credit card company. I really rely on customer service especially when purchasing something as expensive as this range was. This will be the last time I ever order any appliance with a brand name affiliated with this group. Very disappointed customer!!

We purchased this fridge about six months ago and we are extremely disappointed with the quality on this product. The Stainless steel is so thin on it that when you actually close the door by hand if you dont use the handles if your ring or anything touches it it scratches and puts a dent in it right away. Stay far from this product and if youre in Canada stay away from Trail appliances in Edmonds Fine Appliances. They said all this is normal. If you have kids definitely stay away from this. This is not the the same Fisher Paykel that was an Australian company, it now owned by Haier Group out of China. Quality is the worst ever.

In a store at Tri-City Fair, I was going around, looking for a washing machine and my husband had heard a little bit about Fisher and Paykel. He said, “You know, maybe we should look at this.” So I started looking those up and we went to a store that carried them here in Salem. I had one set of washer and dryer, and then I have replaced the washer as my previous one went. It was just around 5 years. I think it was the motherboard. I wasn’t crazy about that, but I like the product…how it spins (high speed). I also like the fact that it can be on top loading and the amount of water it extracts from the clothes so it takes less drying time if I use my dryer. It’s a little loud, but I have it in my basement so it’s no problem and I don’t have to worry about water spill… Only a couple of times that I had water come over and I think it was because I had something in there. It’s fine, I like it. I’d say they’re better compared to other models I had before them. I’d recommend it to a friend.

We wanted to switch from a conventional dishwasher to a drawer type. We’re both getting older and decided we didn’t want to bend down to the floor anymore and so we decided we would go with this, and Fisher & Paykel essentially had a good reputation. We thought we’d try them and we’re pleased. We’ve had it since we moved into a new condominium at the end of June and it’s the Tall DishDrawer. It works very well. I am getting the cleanest, clearest glasses I’ve ever seen come out of a dishwasher. I like the way the inside of the dishwasher is set up because I like the fold down, fold up racks for the glassware which comes in very handy for various sizes. There are a number of clips for putting in very sharp long knives. As a cook, you use very long chef knives. In a regular dishwasher, you can’t really put them in. So I thought that was an excellent feature. Also the cutlery container is very nicely designed so that you can put all of your sharp steak knives point down. It is an exceptionally clean looking and clean staying dishwasher. The entire inside of the dishwasher is stainless steel. It’s really a dream to use. I recommend it to everybody.

I bought a brand new FP washer and dryer the end of 2006. I paid approximately $1,000.00 each for them, because the salesperson assured me what a wonderful company FP is and how wonderful their products are. Well, what a waste of my hard earned money. I have had the washer fixed 3 times and the pump just went out of it again. I am awaiting the repairman to return with the part to fix it. In the meantime, I am spending at least $40.00 a week at the laundromat. I have had the dryer fixed twice. The last time, it put little holes in my clothes so I lost a ton of money in ruined clothing. I am lucky that there is a repairman in our area who knows what hes doing. However, it is always at least 3 weeks until the repair is completed. First, he has to come out to see whats wrong; then order the part; then come back out to repair it. Now when you figure it out, I am spending at least $120.00 at the laundromat, plus I have the cost of the repairs. This time the repairs will be at least $200.00. During the Christmas season, both Lowes and Home Depot had a washer/dryer pair for around $400.00. Considering the amount of money I already have invested in FP washer/dryer, the extravagant purchase price, the amount of money I have invested for repairs to both units, the amount of money I have invested in the laundromat and the continuous inconvenience, I would be farther ahead to buy a cheap set and replace them every two years. Now I will say that FP reimbursed a portion of the first repair; however, when I advised them of the second repair, they basically said that appliances dont last forever.I cant say that forever is 3 or 4 years. Considering the price of FP, I would expect them to last at least 10 years. I am very disappointed in the FP brand and have to say that I will not consider purchasing that brand again. I have just spent the past hour reading the reviews on this website and it seems to me that FP just produces an inferior product. FP should take action to compensate people and not just tell them that they are sorry to hear of their problems or that their concerns have been forwarded to a senior representative.

Fisher-Paykel WL4227J1 - We purchased this machine, new, on 9/24/14. The machine worked well for 2 weeks & then developed a loud hum in the pump during the drain cycle. So I called F/P direct & was told that it would be 3-5 business days as the part ships from Huntington Beach, CA. Or, I could contact the retailer I purchased the machine from & ask them to exchange it... but that they were under no obligation to do so. Hello... customer service. When an appliance fails, I always believe that the best service you will get will be from the manufacturer. Hence my dish drawer started to make a troubling buzz. I booked a service online with Fisher Paykel, the manufacturer. I received an email that allowed me to track my service. I had booked a service for between 12 and 5pm and the initial time came though as 12-1pm. Immediately this isnt great as its slap bang in the middle of the day, but I requested it so I just reworked my day. Around 10am I got an update that said between 2pm and 3pm. OK, excellent I could now work out what I needed to do around this.At 2.38 its still saying between 2pm and 3pm and then I got a call from the engineer, telling me he has 4 jobs in front of me and wont be here until 5.30pm. Seriously? I called customer service and clearly they say that the app is only giving me a guide time, but why not update it? If the engineer knew his status was 5.30 at 2.38pm, it wasnt between 2-3pm at 1.59pm, was it?I then pointed out that beside this, the engineer would miss my time slot anyway, as 5.30pm is not between 12-5pm. They then offered to reschedule me, but heres where the damage really is. Fisher Paykel I NO LONGER TRUST YOU. Why would I put myself at the mercy of your poor customer service and time keeping again? Why would I allow you to disrespect my day so much by not telling me or keeping me up to date on the time of arrival. As I pointed out, the supermarket can tell me to the minute when they will deliver and they generally get it right. I will always trust them. This is the battle for customer service. Its about trust and Fisher Paykel, YOU FAILED ME. I do not want to deal with companies I cannot trust. Its up to you if you use their service.

Ive had Fisher & Paykel AquaSmart Washing Machine Model Number WL26CW1
Ive had Fisher & Paykel AquaSmart Washing Machine Model Number WL26CW1 for approximately 7 years now and there has been big trouble. After the 2 year warranty expired it started to have problems. I contacted F&P and a repairman came out within a couple days. He determined that the washer needed a new circuit board (brain) which he would have to order. It took about 6 weeks to get the new brain and have it installed at a cost of almost $250 US.One and a half years after the new brain was installed the machine developed a new problem with the LCD display which is located on the circuit board (brain). Sometimes the LCD display cannot be viewed, nothing shows up in the window. Other times it works fine or it will show the wash selections in a faint image to which I can make a selection. The times that the wash selections are not visible I just count off the selections until I reach the one that I want (yes, Ive memorized them) and the washer will engage and work. However, at the end of any wash cycle instead of stopping the selected wash cycle starts all over and will continue to run over and over and over until I intervene and turn the machine off. Ive been doing this now for almost 4 years. I refuse to pay another $250 US plus to buy another new brain (circuit board) and dont want to buy a new washing machine until this F&P money drain totally craps out.
