Range Error Codes

Problem: Nothing works. 
Reason: Oven is not connected to the electrical power. 
Solution: Have oven connected to a properly sized electrical power supply by a qualified electrician. 

Problem: Nothing works. 
Reason: Power supply is not energized. 
Solution: Have an electrician check the power supply, including the house circuit breaker, wiring and fuses. 

Problem: Top burners do not light or do not burn evenly. 
Reason: Plug on range is not completely inserted in the electrical outlet. 
Solution: Make sure the unit is properly connected to the power supply. 

Problem: Top burners do not light or do not burn evenly. 
Reason: Burner holes on the side of the burner may be clogged. 
Solution: Remove the burner heads and clean them.  Check the electrode area for burned-on food or grease. 

Problem: Burner flames very large and yellow. 
Reason: Burner bezel ports are clogged. 
Solution: Clean burner bezel ring ports with straightened paper clip, needle, or wire. 

Problem: Burner flames very large and yellow. 
Reason: Burner ports or burner caps are not positioned properly. 
Solution: Remove and carefully re-install burner bezel and caps. 

Problem: Burner flames very large and yellow. 
Reason: Cooktop is being operated with the wrong type of gas. 
Solution: Ensure that the type of cooktop matches the natural gas supply. 

Problem: Burner flames very large and yellow. 
Reason: Regulator is not installed, is faulty, or is set for the wrong type of gas. 
Solution: Check installation, replace regulator, or set regulator for proper gas. 

Problem: Sparking but no flame ignition. 
Reason: Gas shut-off valve is in the ‘OFF’ position. 
Solution: Turn shut-off valve to the ‘ON’ position. 

Problem: Igniters spark continuously after flame ignition. 
Reason: Power supply polarity is reversed. 
Solution: Have polarity corrected.  

Problem: Igniters spark continuously after flame ignition. 
Reason: Igniters are wet or dirty. 
Solution: Dry or clean igniters. 

Problem: Burner flame goes out at low setting. 
Reason: Low gas supply pressure. 
Solution: Contact gas company. 

Problem: Burner flame goes out at low setting. 
Reason: Air intake holes around knobs are obstructed. 
Solution: Remove obstruction. 

Problem: Oven will not heat. 
Reason: Oven settings are not corrected. 
Solution: Follow mode selection and clock settings as specified in Oven Operation section of the manual. 

Problem: Foods over-cooked or under-cooked. 
Reason: Incorrect cooking time or temperature. 
Solution: Adjust time, temperature, or rack position. 

Problem: ‘Cracking’ or ‘Popping’ sound. 
Reason: This is the sound of metal heating and cooling. 
Solution: This is normal.

Refrigerator Error Codes

With regard to the following small faults, not every failure needs to be fixed by the technical service personnel; you can try to solve the problem. 

Case: Completely non-refrigeration. 
Inspection: Is power plug off? Are breakers and fuses broken? No electricity or line trip?, 
Solution: Re-plug, Opening the door and checking whether the lamp is lit. 

Case: Abnormal noise, 
Inspection: Is refrigerator stable? Does refrigerator contact the wall? 
Solution: Adjusting refrigerator’s leveling feet. Off the wall. 

Case: Poor refrigerating efficiency. 
Inspection: Do you put hot food or too much food? Do you open the door frequently? Do you clip food bag to the door gasket? Direct sunlight or near a furnace or stove? Is it well-ventilated? Temperature setting in too high? 
Solution: Putting food into refrigerator when hot food becomes cool. Checking and closing the door. Removing the refrigerator from the heat source. Emptying the distance to maintain good ventilation.? Setting to the appropriate temperature. 

Case: Peculiar smell in refrigerator.  
Inspection: Any spoiled food? Do you need to clean refrigerator? Have you packed food of strong flavors? 
Solution: Throwing away spoiled food. Cleaning refrigerator. Packing food of strong flavors. 

Case: The refrigerator lamp is OFF. 
Inspection: Does the refrigerator door stay open? 
Solution: Close the door and open it again, so as to observe whether the refrigerator light up normally.
