Gaggenau Dishwasher Troubleshooting

If you're looking for help fixing your Gaggenau Dishwasher, look no further! Our comprehensive Gaggenau Dishwasher Troubleshooting guide will explain common issues, provide tips, and show you how to read your model's error codes.

Gaggenau Dishwasher not cleaning
The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the dishwasher. If the valve is clogged or defective, the dishwasher won’t get enough water to clean dishes properly. If the water inlet valve is clogged, replace it. Do not attempt to clean the water inlet valve—cleaning the valve could make it more likely to fail.

Gaggenau Dishwasher not draining
The drain impeller pushes water through the drain hose and into the garbage disposer or drain line. If the impeller is broken, replace it.

Gaggenau Dishwasher buttons not working
First, confirm that the dishwasher display is working. If the display is still working, try pressing some of the touchpad buttons. If some of the buttons respond correctly but others don’t, it is likely that the touchpad is at fault. (Some manufacturers sell the touchpad separately from the control panel. Other manufacturers require that you purchase the touchpad and control panel together. If you cannot replace the touchpad individually, replace the touchpad and control panel.)

Gaggenau Dishwasher lights flashing or blinking
The heating element heats up the water to operating temperature. If the water doesn’t reach the proper temperature after a set amount of time, a light on the control panel might start flashing. To determine if the heating element has burned out, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the heating element does not have continuity, replace it.

Gaggenau Dishwasher leaking
The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the dishwasher. If the water inlet valve is stuck open, the dishwasher will continue to fill with water until the dishwasher leaks or overflows. If the water inlet valve is at fault, replace it. Water inlet valves are not repairable—if the valve is defective, you must replace it.

Gaggenau Dishwasher leaking from motor area
First, try to determine the source of the leak. If the water is leaking from the motor shaft area, the motor shaft seal is likely defective. If the seal is defective, replace it. (Some manufacturers sell the seal independently of the impeller. Other manufacturers require that you purchase the impeller and seal together. Still other manufacturers require that you purchase the entire pump and motor assembly instead of the impeller and seal. It is usually more cost effective to replace the impeller and seal kit rather than the pump and motor assembly.)

Gaggenau Dishwasher won't start
The door switch prevents the dishwasher from running while the door is open. If the door switch is defective, the switch will prevent the dishwasher from running even when the door is closed. To determine if the door switch is at fault, use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity. If the switch does not have continuity, replace it.

Gaggenau Dishwasher won't latch
If the door hinges are damaged, the door won’t be able to latch properly. Inspect the door hinges for damage. If a hinge is bent or broken, replace it.

Gaggenau Dishwasher dispenser not dispensing soap
The bi-metal actuator is a metal loop which acts as a latch for the dispenser door. As electricity is applied to the bi-metal, it deforms and bends away from the latch, releasing it. If the bi-metal is burned out, it won’t release the dispenser door. To determine if the bi-metal has burned out, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the bi-metal does not have continuity, replace it. In addition, make sure that the dishwasher is getting enough water. If the water level is too low, the wash motor may not draw enough current through the bimetal, causing the bimetal not to bend enough to work properly.

We have had the this brand for over 10 years when the outside frame came apart. We didn’t lose efficiency but decided not to fix but upgrade toe one of stainless steel interior and handle across front. This model is even quieter than our previous model and just even more efficient in its wash cycle. Plus much more types of wash cycles than we had before. If I didn’t look at the red light shining on the floor, I wouldn’t know it was working. Proud owner.

The performance is topnotch, one of the best in the industry. I have no complaints about any area of its performance. The value is very affordable and right for what it does. If you're looking for something that's great and works to its highest ability this is it. The appearance can't be beat by anyone out there. It's very nice looking and will fit in any style kitchen perfectly and won't be in the way of other things. The size is great for this product and works just as great if not better than any other product out there. I would recommend this to anyone.

It's performance was excellent, ran well, did what it was supposed to. I'd recommend this to anyone. Its value was good. I actually got a great deal. I paid less for this than most quotes I got. I'm very happy with this. Its appearance is great. It goes well with my house. It wasn't a bad size at all. It didn't take up all that much space at all.

BEST dishwasher ever owned. It's under the counter dw. The noise level is you don't hear it at all! Stainless steel inside 2 racks adjustable everything for all dishes, pots and pans, cookie sheets, everything. 2 compartments (can be removed) for silverware. 1 rack above for long handled and wooden etc utensils. Best part is cleaning. Pull out the bottom rack, rolls out easily. Remove the filter easy, wash it out in sink and put it back in about every 3-6 mo. Filter is stainless steel. Several modes of cleaning from pots and pans, to crystal glasses. Air Dry or steam. Everything is cleaned 100% every time. Cost to run is next to nothing.

Insane awesome dishwasher! It so quiet they had to put a red light shining
Insane awesome dishwasher! It so quiet they had to put a red light shining to the floor so you know it’s running! It has 3 racks one for silverware and two for larger pans. I purchased the one with crystal wash which had lava rock pellets in it so you you don’t use heat coils to dry your dishes. They come out spot free with finish dishwashing pods and finish liquid (recommend by the manufacturer). I love it???? It's energy efficient more than any dishwasher on the market I think. It cost more but saves you in water and electricity. I recommend it!
