How quiet should a dishwasher be

The dishwasher is the one appliance you cannot do without once you've had one. Not only does it make it easier to clean up after a meal, but you are also saving more water and energy than if you wash dishes by hand, especially if the appliance is energy efficient. Like the washing machine, a [...]

Product Reviews:

I bought all new appliances for my kitchen... all LG. Love everything but the dishwasher! I never thought I had to read the manual to run this... but one day realized that the filter was really greasy and there was water standing in the drain. Then I found a "quick guide" with my papers that actually said to clean this filter every time you wash! The water never drains out which creates moisture even if you put a paper towel in it each time you use it! Really... Does a manufacturer expect you to clean the filter each time? Plus we don't ever put "dirty dishes" in it to begin with! Pricey item And LG won't back this up because I am beyond my warranty. Who has time for this!? Forget this product.

We have already had the dishwasher's front panel replaced once because of mysterious stains that appeared (off white/greyish color) and now it is happening again. The shape of the stains are very odd and could not be "splatter" or "drips". Is anyone else having this problem? I believe the stains are coming from within the door.... While trying to get a pic of stains, I just noticed my dishwasher leaks too!

The features I like most about my Kenmore dishwasher is the large capacity, the power scrub option, and the quietness of the machine. It has been a very good piece of kitchen equipment for me. It was already built-in to the kitchen of the home I purchased. I am happy with it, but I would like to have the cycle time be less (i.e., make the dishwasher more energy efficient). The longer the dishwasher takes to complete a full cycle, the more energy is being used and I like efficiency!

We have a 40-inch wide Viking refrigerator. I got it through a deal wherein I had to spend a certain amount and when I did, we also got a dishwasher for free. So far, the new fridge has been fine.

ELECTROLUX IQ Touch Top Control Dishwasher #EI24ID50QS - Purchased in August 2014, our Electrolux dishwasher immediately malfunctioned. The dishwasher drains intermittently and it displays an unrecognizable error code (iFo) which causes operation failure. By Jan 2015, we've had four separate manufacturer service calls and they've yet to resolve the problem. With a lack of respect for their customers time and inconvenience, Electrolux refuses take responsibility, neither refund or replace their faulty product.

Have had dishwasher for 3 years and it quit working. Had appliance repair people out 3 times and they replaced every circuit board and harness in dishwasher as per GE and still doesn't work. GE own techncians don't even know how to fix it. So I am replacing it! No more GE appliances for me!

Overall DW is great, had an issue with control board failure after about 18 months, but part was in warranty, part was replaced and all is working great.

The number one reviewed portable dishwasher performed perfectly. There are no cleaning issues at all. Everything is spotless. The only things needing a quick drying are made of plastic but the SPT has turned a 45 minute job into a 5 minute job. My back starts to hurt when I stand in one place for very long but the SPT has cleaned that issue as well. I highly recommend and compliment SPT on a job well done.

I have a 4 year old Kitchenaid Dishwasher. We spent over $1,000 for it thinking we were investing in a very nice, long lasting machine. After a year, the right clip on the top rack broke and needed to be repaired by a technician. 6 months later the other side broke and we needed another service call. In the last few weeks, all 8 wheels have fallen off the bottom rack. We run the dishwasher about once every three days. I spoke to Kitchenaid customer service this morning via their online chat. The service representative admitted that there were so many complaints about my model that it should have been recalled. She said there was nothing she could do for me. I called and spoke to a customer service representative and their supervisor and they both refused to provide the replacement parts. My model is KUDE 40FXSP3. I will never buy another Kitchenaid product. Even when they know there's an issue, they will not take responsibility for it.

We have had this dishwasher [Model MDB7749SBW2] for about 1 1/2 years now, and gave had a lot of trouble with it. It will run a cycle on its own without anyone even touching a button. My current problem is the start button won't work. I reset the dishwasher by pushing the series of buttons I found online to do a reset, and the start light lit up, but after the reset cycle was finished I tried to run a wash cycle and couldn't get the start button to do anything. I've seen a lot of reviews online on this being common with Maytag brand dishwashers this old. I will NEVER buy a Maytag product again nor would I recommend it to anyone as a good product. I am very frustrated and disappointed in Maytag!!!
