My microwave (a few years old) model SMH 9187 ST has gotten the SE Error. I chatted with a Samsung rep today and they are covering my issue free of charge. I took a pleasant approach with them, gave them my model and serial number and viola, they will be covering my repair of new circuit board. The equipment definitely has issues but in my case Samsung is standing behind their product.

Ordered a repair part for my GE Cafe series microwave because the touchpad failed. The person who took the order told me they had a "No Hassle" return policy. They shipped the part right away but I decided to replace the microwave instead. I am still waiting 3 weeks later for them to pick up the item via Fed Ex and credit my account. I called GE, b/c the microwave has paint flaking off and piling on top of my food. Just like snow flakes. You tap the inside-ceiling with your index finger lightly and it looks like there's a snow fall inside the microwave. Lots of metal is exposed. GE answer: metal is non-toxic, do not worry if small amounts ingested! Told me to not use it anymore and replace it at my own cost. After insisting that they are responsible for a defective product, they will give me a "break" of $100 on the price, conditioned on them confiscating the above microwave ("so you or someone else does not use it"). Bad deal. I am looking for another brand!

I like its size and it fits where I need it. It's really a nice microwave and seems to cook well although I don't cook main meals in microwave. Usually just warm ups or quick frozen meals. Last microwave I had started when you hit the 30 sec button but this one you have to hit 30 then start. Would like more timer options, just a minor thing that I wish was different.

WE purchased this to replace our 12yr old jenn air microwave. What a difference we love the control panel and soft lightening. Expense $$$ item but worth. We tried a 3rd party trim kit but looked awful. Ended up going w/ the Viking trim kit. Makes a huge difference.

Very concerned. First the microwave broke. It seems that is burning on the inside. The model number is MH1150XMS-2, purchased in 2005. I have had to replace the plate. I have read of many recalls, because of the potential of fire. My model was not among the ones on the recall list.

Purchased a carousel microwave that had a defective hole in the top. I immediately sent pictures asking for a replacement, and after NUMEROUS phone calls that dragged into weeks, I was told they can no longer find an identical one to replace mine, even though I had just purchased it! They gave me no other resolution and no one contacted me again. I gave up trying to contact them because I was just passed from 1 person to the next. Very unhappy with the entire experience. I paid $300 for a microwave with a hole. I sure hope there's nothing dangerous coming out of that hole.

Whirlpool Gold microwave quit heating after little use. We moved in house one year ago, microwave 6 years old. Spoke with Timena customer service rep. She took my model, serial info and clearly explained this model had defects and they would replace for free even though 1 year warranty was up. Delivery staff would call within 24 business hours. After 4 days I call back and get Mia rep, she claims I was disapproved for new unit after all?? I spoke to 2 supervisors above her Karin in Tennessee, and another. They claim I was mistaken??? I said, “Look up the recorded call and you will see the message is clear..." They acted shifty and claimed I should buy a new starting at $1399!!! They would consider small discount?? Their rep was clear at first then they failed to back her up. Terrible customer service. Lied etc. Never buy Whirlpool!!! They are cheap and don’t stand behind reps. Awful company!!!
