Product Reviews:

I purchased a full kitchen suite in June of 2018 and my gas range oven just quit working yesterday. I have received no help whatsoever from Samsung and have spoken with 3 different representatives. I mentioned to all 3 that I researched the problem and Samsung knows full well that they have a defective part that causes this to happen yet has not recalled the models or the part itself despite the fact that there is a pending class action lawsuit against them. I would hate to see anyone waste their hard earned money on appliances that can't even last a few years. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves. Appliances should easily last longer than 2 1/2 years. Hopefully my reviews will help someone else from wasting their hard earned money.

While working for my employer on the 9th floor, I smelled an electrical burning/fire coming from our snack room. I wasn't sure which machine it was coming from (snacks, soda, countertop water dispenser, coffee maker, or refrigerator). I later learned that the clock on the LG microwave was out and it was humming. When I opened the door of the microwave, the rotating glass was broken in pieces and the microwave was extremely hot like an oven. I immediately unplugged it, reported it to the leasing office and they notified the fire department. We are not replacing this microwave with another LG.

We bought new home in September 2014, had Home Warranty. We have had someone out to look at our dishwasher 5 times. They keep fixing things on it and just today they brought a new part and now says it needs another. We had a cooktop stove also that needed fixed. The appliances are only a couple years old if that. I will never recommend Samsung to anyone. We also have the fridge, nothing wrong with it yet! We will out buying a new dishwasher, NOT SAMSUNG!

I bought an LG stove @ Home Depot on November 2009. I could write a book to describe the delivery and write a full chapter dedicated to the balanced decision of the person that sold me the defective door on the fridge. Three years, and no problem with the stove, then about 7 months ago I started to have problems with the control panel… F1 appeared but because the building has been undergoing changes, I did not bother to say anything. An electrician confirmed that it had nothing to do with the malfunction. About 2 months ago, as the upgrading of the building had come to a completion, I spoke to LG and for 2 months, I have been lied to and deceived by the executives of this company - very ethical indeed. They want to give me a prorated $700.00 for me to buy another stove. Today, I find out, that the reason why they don’t want to come over to fix my stove, the reason is that this model LSB5682SW/01 was made in Canada and this model is now discontinued. In other words... (TOO BAD, TOO BAD… Revelation chapter 18) for me. That is while I was speaking to a representative. He assured me that the unit was “unrepairable”. I then asked him what F1 means. He said it meant “AN OVEN ISSUE”. Another Executive told my sister “that there is now a SAFETY issue” with the stove. What I mean is that they have conjured up for themselves a code of silence and mutated the truth. It is difficult when there is so much silence for so long - this makes it more unbearable. Now they want me to buy another LG stove. What they should do is refund me the money or fix the control panel - neither of these they want to oversee. Why are there not more videos uploaded to YouTube on this CURSED practice?? I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS WAS MADE IN CANADA.

I love the size of our range and the auto fan function. We are really happy with the quality of the overall piece of it. My husband was having trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth but he figured that out on his own.

I would give no stars for this piece of junk, Whirlpool's energy efficient top load washer. I called 1 day after their warranty was up. It was actually purchased on Oct. 9th, 2010. The machine was leaving spots on my clothes from day one (was told it was my detergent)! The machine started making strange noises and not cleaning clothes. It was coming out worse than they went in the machine! I called on Oct. 10th, 2011 to complain. They told me my warranty was up! I had to pay $234.83 to order F7E1 activator and pay repair. The repairman told me that my machine was not delivered until Oct. 14th, 2010. It should have been covered on warranty!

This is the second time that my GE microwave oven is peeling the paint on the inside of the oven. We paid over $240.00 the first time and think that this is a serious flaw this particular oven has. I think that the company should be liable, not the consumer.

In September of 2011 we purchased an Electrolux Wall Oven (EW30MC65JS1) as a part of a total kitchen rehab. This appliance also contains a microwave oven and is installed as a single unit: microwave above, convection oven below. Because of construction delays, the unit was not installed until summer of 2012 when it was put into residential service. Within months of the install, the microwave cooling fan would not stop running. Even after constantly cleaning the inside and leaving the door open for 30 min or more, the only way to stop the fan was to throw the breaker switch at the panel in the basement. Finally, after several weeks of this nonsense and a visit from a repairman, the microwave began to act normal. That is until April, 2014: the magnetron went, a $591.35 repair bill. I contacted Electrolux and they sent us a $99 debit card (!?). Yesterday evening I could not get the oven to turn off. About 4 hours after dinner, I went through the kitchen and noticed that the oven was still on. The control panel was showing only the time, nothing else. I turned the oven back on, then I turned it off and waited 30 min. The oven was still on pumping out heat as if it were still warming dinner. I threw the breaker switch at the panel downstairs. I waited overnight and threw the switch back this morning. The oven is now off and we do not intend to use it again. We have kept our designer current with all of the Electrolux problems and she has stopped advising clients to purchase Electrolux products. The unit cost about $3300 in 2011 and has cost at least another $750 to keep going. Given the dangerousness of the last problem with the oven not turning off I'll probably scrap it.

The Kenmore Gas Range 7290 we bought from Sears has been a real letdown. The Electronic oven control board continues to need replacing. Even the last one we ordered from Sears didn't even work when we installed it. They have to send us another one to replace it. There needs to be a recall on this gas range. It's a dud and a waste of a lot of $$.

My 2005 Kenmore Electric Range (model 790.96619401 Serial No. VF45126081) caught fire this afternoon. Thankfully, my husband and I were present, as were my FIVE children. We were left shaken to say the least! I was preheating my oven when I heard a crackling sound. Suddenly, I saw a spark that quickly turned to flames shooting from behind the control panel. We were able to pull the appliance from the wall and unplug it, at which point the flames died out. There was no damage in or around the electrical socket and the damage to my wall was DIRECTLY behind the vent where the flames came from. I am disturbed to see how many others have had similar experiences with Kenmore appliances.Sears has been little to no help in resolving this matter. It took 5 associates before someone even took an incident report! I was told they could send a technician for "repairs" at my expense, since I am no longer under warranty! This is not even the 1st issue I have had with this company. Six months after I purchased my $1500 refrigerator, there was a recall for chance of fire! PLEASE BEWARE! DO NOT BUY SEARS OR KENMORE!!!
