Product Reviews:

The control (computer) stopped working. The Maytag Centennial washer would not turn off. I had to unplug it from the electrical outlet to get it to stop. The repairman had to replace the computer panel. He said it had burned up. I bought this machine from Lowe's on January 11, 2011. It lasted 15 months and cost me $265 to get it repaired. I called Lowe's and because I did not buy the extended warranty, they would not even talk to me. When I pay about $500 for a washing machine, I expect it to last longer than 15 months! I will never buy another Maytag appliance! Customers beware: these products are a bunch of junk. Even the repairman told me so.

I have a washer (W6903) and the control panel stopped working properly. I called ASKO back in April to have it fixed. That started a series of frustrating events that has me here today in August, with my machine still not working. They had me set an appointment with a local repair service (American Home Products - Los Angeles). They came out and confirmed that the panel needed to be replaced and then tried to extract non-warranty payments for knobs. I complained and they backed off from that, but said they may need to replace knobs when they replaced the panel but that would be on them. They finally go the part, replaced it and then broke the knob.Do you think they had the knob in question? No. Then they told me it was on back order and I had to wait more than a month before they go the part. Once they got the part, they scheduled an appointment and just didn't show up. They did not call to reschedule or apologize for not showing up. I have since been going around in circles with ASKO to have them set up a new company. ASKO's repair service has to be the worst I've ever encountered.

I purchased my Kenmore front load washer in 2009. All was good until I need it fixed! A technician came out and told me what was wrong...and charged me for that visit! Now a part is on back order and has been for OVER 2 MONTHS!!! This is ridiculous! Sears repair service sucks! I will never purchase another product from them and I will definitely pass my experience along so that others do the same!!!

We got this washing machine just over 4 years ago. The door lock sticks now and I have to turn it off and back on 30 times before the door will unlock so I can get my clothes out. I don’t have time for that. And yesterday, I went to switch my clothes out and the door was locked of course so I just turned the whole machine off and went back to it today when I had time to mess with it. I still had to tap the frame of the door where the lock is about 3-4 times while turning it off and back on. Then when I finally was able to open it, my clothes were still soaked. So I put it on a spin only cycle. 17 min by default then after it judged the weight and distribution, it went to 10 min.I came back a few min later, the number of min was on 7 and it was full of water, rinsing. The spin light was flashing, indicating it was spinning and it was on a spin only cycle. We’re going to have to replace it as soon as we can afford to because they only guarantee their products for a year. I was told by the manufacturer that they’d have to charge me to have a maintenance guy from LG come to my house, evaluate the problem and fix it. Had I known they believed in their products this little, I’d have gone with a different brand. We will not be purchasing LG again.

I am sorry to have updated that review 2 years later. Whirlpool has actually contacted me after posting on their Facebook support group. I am not sure how it happened but I was contacted by their executive team who is WAY more professional and efficient than their support team. In a matter of days my washer was replaced and installed by a new one - the closet available to the model I had - I did not pay a penny and no questions asked even though the washer was out of warranty. So my answer to you is when you are stuck do your best to talk to the executive team!

Unreliable! When you push start, it goes into sensing mode and starts to fill. You walk away thinking it will run to find out an hour later it is still in sensing mode! Wasting electricity, your time and talk about stress! You have a 50-50 chance it will go on and run the load, but if you don't have time to stand there and watch it. FORGET THIS WASHER. Also does not clean as the old agitator washer, which I luckily still have, yeah. Always read reviews before buying anything. Nice website.

We switched from a front loader to top load, because we continued to have odors coming from our front load washer that we could not get rid of. We chose the top load with agitator, since we wanted to get back to the type of washing machine we have previously had, and liked. The water level on this machine is very low, even when choosing the high fill option, thus the agitator is nearly worthless, and the clothes do not get clean. To top it all off, we still have a musty odor coming from our washer, even when we leave the top door open. We are not at all happy with our purchase of the Kenmore 600S, 20372 washing machine.

We purchased a top of the line Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80H995OU5/AA. After less than two days of use, it would no longer complete a wash cycle and the door would not stay closed. Upon further inspection we also discover the rear panel of the cabinet was severely bent. After a call to the local dealer, he called back the next day reporting that Samsung would not let him service the machine, but only a Samsung Service Center. Samsung wanted two business days to contact the center to set the appointment. After some discussion they agreed to contact the Local Authorized Service Center (Remedy Appliance Service and Repair) while I was on the line. The Samsung Customer rep. disconnected the line without the connection. I tracked the Authorized Service Center down and offered to pay them to look at the machine. An Authorized Service Representative looked at the machine, determined it was not repairable. He took pictures and told us Samsung would call in one to two business days. They did not. I called Samsung, talking to several service representatives. My request was to remove the machine and return my money, as the machine worked less than 24 hours. The washer cost $1,600. I have now been on the phone with four customer service representatives including "executive customer service". I have been told after further extensive processing, I might have my money returned in 14 to 21 days, however the process they describe is about four days, requiring further extensive time on our part. Just horrible service.

Purchased top load washing machine (Kenmore Elite Washing Machine) with glass top lid Oct 30, 2018. Exploded April 6... then again one week after it was fixed... April 25... Still waiting on a replacement 2 weeks later. Sears warranty tell us they never heard of this, judging by item being back ordered and multiple other reviews I’ve read THIS IS A PROBLEM!!! BUYER BEWARE! MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE!!!

We received our new Maytag washer MHW8200FC on Saturday 11/18/17. We washed 2 loads on Saturday and on Sunday it didn't start. Not only did it not start but it was locked with clothes in it. We finally got it to open but it wouldn't start to wash. We had the distributor, Warners' Stellian, schedule a service tech. He came out on 11/21/17 and determined the "board" was bad and that he would order one and be back on 11/29/17. A week without a washer doesn't work for a family of 5. This isn't like a lawn mower I use once a week, we use it daily. Whatever happened to quality control? A brand new expensive product breaks in 2 days? Maytag says it's "Made in the USA", which I'm all for... Only if it works. USA or China, broken is broken so I don't care where it's made. Whether it's planned obsolescence or just a plain faulty product, Maytag is now another brand that I will avoid buying in the future.
