4 years in and the tank is leaking flooding my basement. Rather than have the plumber come out and charge me I called to see what they could recommend. I was hoping to see about replacing it myself but the person taking my call was totally uncooperative. Said I'd have to go through wholesaler to see if they would give me a replacement. I have a video of water pouring out but that's not enough for them. I asked for their legal department and said it would be cheaper to sue for it. They now blocked me from getting my replacement unit without first shipping the heater all the way back to them for inspection. Well that's encouraging.

Bradford White is a waste of money and time. I moved into my home in 2005 with a Bradford White water tank already installed. Since then, I have replaced the water tank 4 times. The original tank lasted approximately 6 years, the second tank lasted approximately 6 years, then the third tank only lasted one year and 9 months. The biggest issue I have with the 3rd tank is it was rusting and rotting out which the plumber said all the rust was running through the pipes of my entire house! This could and perhaps have caused damage to my plumbing. Not only was this a HUGE inconvenience to me AND my plumber, I still HAD to pay $375.00!Bradford White is completely responsible but yet claims they are NOT 100% responsible after 1 year. Since their slogan is “BUILT TO BE THE BEST”, they should stand behind their product for more than 1 year. My plumber suggests to consider a Rheem once this tank craps out. DO NOT PURCHASE A BRADFORD WHITE! Their products and poor workmanship is not worth your valuable time and money!

We bought the 30 gallon water heater March 3, 2021 and was installed the next day. The tank started large amounts of water from all over the tank. We had to turn off the water supply since we could not get it to stop leaking. I thought Rheem was a good brand but I am finding out that it is not. To top it off I have tried calling their help phone line 6 times and each time I just get disconnected the last 2 times I called. The first time I called 800-621-5622 the calls never picked up, never went through or the recording said there would be a 1 hour and a half wait. Not very good customer service! We need help and a new water heater. It should last longer than 9 months. Someone needs to call me at ** and ask for John B.

After five years, my water heater failed. It was a Sears Kenmore 40 gallon, natural gas, with a 12 year warranty. It was leaking water all over. I called the number on the water heater and was told that the earliest a technician could come out and verify that the tank was leaking would be 9 days later; it would cost me $75. Then if he verified it was leaking, I could get a new tank. So I have to pay to get warranty service? I called a local plumber and had it replaced today. This would be the last business I will ever do with Sears and the last Kenmore I will ever buy.

I purchased a Ecosmart ECO 18 tankless hot water heater in May of 2021 from Amazon. I installed myself to take place of another tankless unit already in home that failed. I filled out the online warranty info and submitted to company within the 30 day time frame. There was no hot water from unit the evening of December the 24th. After checking, there was one of the two heating elements that had failed. Calling their customer service line after the holiday weekend without hot water, I was informed that there was no warranty since I was not licensed. I have several years experience in home repairs, electrical and plumbing. Plus, I only replaced another unit with this new one. I have completely rewired a previous home. After talking to a different rep. she told me they never received my warranty info and since I did purchase from amazon, again no warranty. Called several times and different reps and supervisors all said different things, but all said no warranty and there was absolutely no assistance. Their web site even states "unless otherwise approved" and gives instruction for customer to install but says nothing about this voids your warranty. Who could approve this, all managers interacted with on calls declined. The last rep left me on hold for 38 minutes until I finally just hung up. They will not assist in a simple part failure that has nothing to do with install. Terrible customer service, watch out for the very fine print hidden on contradicting company website!!!!

“I am posting the following experience as an example of how companies should treat clients/customers regardless of stated warranties, policies and procedures. A number of years ago, I purchased an above-ground salt-water pool with a Raypak pool heater. It was a good heater, but two years ago reached the end of its life and had to be replaced. I decided to purchase another upgraded Raypak heater (larger and with digital readout). Unfortunately, for some reason, the heater only lasted two seasons before needing to be replaced. While I was initially upset at this prospect, all companies can occasionally have a product that ends up being “a lemon” despite regularly producing high quality products.I have often said that a person or a company should be judged, not on mistakes made or an occasional poor product, but how they respond to fixing the situation. In this case, Raypak, sold in Canada by Rheem Canada, came through with flying colours. Technically, my Raypak heater was out of warranty, but Rheem understood the situation and recognized that their products usually perform much better than was the case with this particular heater. The company, with a special shoutout to the Director of Sales in Canada, Dave **, was very understanding and helpful in this situation by replacing my heater. Rheem/Raypak has just ensured a lifelong customer and one who will spread the word. Raypak/Rheem is number 1 in my books!”

I purchased a new home not to deal with a broken hot water heater. I called Mike ** at Bradford and was told he was in a meeting (surprising). And we all know that he called me back, NOT. My house is two years old and my hot water heater broke. I needed to call for service and the service man called Bradford. My hot water heater wouldn't light. Bradford told the service man to replace the GAS VALUE and the PILOT ASSEMBLY. REALLY I think that Bradford White should reimburse me the $450.00 it costed me to repair the crap.Hard to believe that a house that only has two people living in it, could possible use the Hot Water Heater that much to break the gas assembly and pilot in two years. In all honest I can't ever remember my water heater breaking any gas parts. Just remember the parts might be under warranty but the labor is expensive. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT. EVEN THE COMPANY DOESN'T CARE ENOUGH TO RETURN A PHONE CALL.

1st off, I LOVE this Tankless Water Heater. I honestly could not be more satisfied. I have had zero issues or concerns. Any problem or complaint anyone has posted has not been an issue for me. It has been and is working flawlessly. It has been in service for about 4 months now. Installation is paramount. Have it done professionally by someone that has installed them before. Like my headline says "Do your due diligence researching what you need for installation." Should any problem arise I will update this review. Yes, I would absolutely buy this again.

I replaced my old hot water tank with a Rheem energy efficient model Guardian System RHGPRO50-40F. Same size as my former tank. When I fill my bath tub the hot water turns lukewarm after a few minutes. The licensed installer told me that this is the way that all new energy efficient hot water tanks work and that the next person to run hot water for a bath or shower would not experience this. Seriously? His suggestion was to run some hot water about 20 minutes before I filled the bath tub and when filling the bath to only turn the hot water faucet on the bath 1/2 way. I tried that and the temperature of the water continued to decrease. So I have to stand by the tub as it fills constantly checking the water temperature and turning down the cold water to maintain the water temperature. I have turned up the temperature on the hot water heater to almost max. That had not solved the issue. I have tried to get this addressed or get an answer from someone and even asked if perhaps I needed a larger tank with no luck. If it is indeed working as designed how can they call this an energy efficient hot water heater when I have to waste water and keep the water at a much higher temperature than I did with the one that was not energy efficient and it was able to fill my bath tub.
