Product Reviews:

The home that I bought came with a Viking range. It cooks evenly and its quality is really good. It's a great product and it makes cooking enjoyable for me. Their customer service is also top-notch. I had a small issue and they took care of it quickly.

Safety hazard - The design of the oven door is not safe. With the door open Thanksgiving morning, I walked into the door and the extremely sharp edge gashed my left leg causing me to have to have 12 stitches. I am attaching photos of my leg and also photos of the door of the stove.

This is probably the worst oven I've ever had. It take 20 minutes for it to heat up to 425 degrees and just as long for any other temp. The noise it makes is annoying. Why they put the fan in the oven is beyond me. I wish I was told that it was noisy and slow! It gets hotter as you bake also. I would not buy another one.

2 years ago we bought a Kenmore oven. After several months of having it, I decided to use the self cleaning option. Our oven had no built up grease, and it really wasn't dirty because I take really good care of my things. I read the directions and proceeded. I have done this many times before with other stoves and no problems. After an hour I started smelling an odd odor. My husband said, "that is normal, that is the cleaning odor you are smelling from the burn off of the cleaning process." I said I know that smell you are talking about and this seems different. It smells like burning wires or rubber. He said "don't worry." After 1 1/2 hours it looked like there was smoke in the kitchen and I said I was too scared to leave the oven on, and the smell just got worse. I shut the stove off and waited until you were allowed to open it. The very top of door turned a yellow brown and the seal around the glass on the inside oven door melted. I am horrified to think what would of happened if I kept the stove on the time the manual said to? I have never used the self cleaning option again. Sears refused to do anything about it. We wanted the door replaced and they suggested a fifty dollar gift card instead! We are now having to replace this stove because I am afraid to use it. Several times after that sometimes when you would turn it on, there would be an unexplained smell, like burning. I was really scared the other day, I turned it on to my normal cooking temp. of 350 and it smelled like wires burning. I quickly turned it off and will now never buy a Kenmore or a stove from Sears again!!!

I've known about Viking Refrigerators for a long time. We purchased a home recently that had a built-in refrigerator and it had a sub-zero that was not working. I went over to Best Buy to check some stuff out. I knew they had the Pacific Home in there so I went in and got the Viking fridge. We had a rocky start because when they came and delivered it, the refrigeration door was approximately a half an inch lower than the freezer door. And there was no adjusting it. They had to basically come out, take the door off, put some spacers underneath the one side to level it out and get it all to work right, which is pretty frustrating for a $12,000 refrigerator. At first, Best Buy said, "Well, you're gonna have to call Viking." and I said, "I'm not gonna call anybody. I bought it from you so you guys can figure it out or you can come pick up your refrigerator and I'll buy from somebody else." And they figured it out. The lady I talked with at the dealership was very helpful. When she wasn't available the day that I called and there was an issue, she called me the next day. She also called me after the follow up when they came out and fixed it to make sure everything is okay and did a great job.Everything is great. I do like that all the shelving on the doors is all metal instead of the flimsy plastic. We have a separate ice maker so we don’t really use the one inside of it too much. It doesn't seem to hold a lot so if that was our only ice maker, that would probably be a downside for us. Overall, the refrigerator is very solid. We're looking to hopefully buy an in-wall oven and a dishwasher from Viking soon.

Purchased in late 2011 as part of a range, fridge, microwave, dishwasher package deal from appliance warehouse. This is the third time I've had to call for service and pay $60 charge each time on my homeowner's warranty policy. The usual problem is burners that don't turn on and in the past, only a few would go out at a time, leaving me a workable burner or two. This time all are out and now the broiler is also down -- only the oven is working now. One service tech said the cables inside the panel were loose. How that happened, I don’t know because the range doesn't get jostled or moved around a lot. Another complaint within the first six months of purchase is an inside drip between the oven door double paned glass but I've lived with ugly mess because the service tech couldn't fix it without taking the entire range to the shop for a week. But wait -- there's more LG product problems! The side-by-side door fridge problems have also cost me three service calls ($60 each). The icemaker frequently goes on strike for several months at a time and then on its own starts working again. Of course, this renders the ice dispenser constipated and totally useless. The cold water dispenser has the opposite problem and is often incontinent it keeps spewing water for several seconds after the drinking glass is removed.I believe LG must stand for Least Good and the range model number LRE30453ST must stand for Least Reliable Electric ** Stoves Terrible. I will never again purchase another LG appliance and recommend that other buyers also shop for another brand.

I've only had my Viking range hooked up for three weeks and it's as expected so far. The dealership we had gone to does not typically sell Viking appliances but they had one in stock and I got a good price on it. I liked the design of the product too. But I had to call for a couple of parts that were not included and they were willing to overnight the parts out to the house. But they were in the middle of inventory so I haven't received the package yet. Other than that, the range cooks faster than our old stove.

Never. Ever. Ever. Ever buy an Electrolux product. Two fridges, a double oven and a stove have all failed numerous times. They have all of our records and we have had repairmen here more than 50 times. This is what they say when the oven breaks: "Oh, this time it's the side element. Oh, this time it's the back element. Oh, sorry this time it's the motherboard." The fridge? I tried to attach a video of the noise that our fridge makes all the time, after they have been out probably 8 times to fix it (maybe more, not kidding) but it wouldn't attach. DON'T BUY ELECTROLUX.

The Viking Range was installed in our home and it’s been very high-quality. My favorite feature is the even heating, baking, and the temperature control. We did have to have someone come and service it though. The issue was that one of the sensors for starting the oven was incorrectly tuned so it wouldn’t catch to start. We contacted a certified service provider that was in our area that we found using their tool on the website. The technician came and fixed that fairly easily. And it was also very easy to contact the technician. And they were very helpful in terms of organizing the service. It was also still under warranty. Overall, we were very satisfied with the appliance.

The stove sensors were broken from time received and never fully repaired. The oven overheats and the temperature is not accurate. The refrigerator’s water to ice maker cracked and flooded the kitchen. They don't make replacements because “they don't break”. The shelves are flimsy and cracks easily. The dishwasher’s motherboard fried after 1 year, and they refused any compensation.
