Product Reviews:

We have not had any issues with our microwave. It is relatively easy to operate (how difficult can it be, right?). Overall, we are pleased with our microwave. The microwave was already installed when we purchased our home, so I cannot speak to whether or not it is worth the price.

We purchased a complete Frigidaire Kitchen Suite. The microwave had to be replaced because the rack that came with the microwave fell and burnt a hole in the side of my microwave. The Refrigerator continues to freeze my food. It was repaired 3 times and then replaced only to have the new one do the same thing. I contacted the head of Electrolux Keith McLoughlin and a Rita ** called regarding my email. I asked for a complete refund. They want to refund the price I paid for just the Refrigerator when I got a better price because I purchased as a suite. The difference is $400.They also offered to replace with another refrigerator that is a different color and will not match other appliances. I again asked to have my entire purchase refunded. I have contacted the BBB and the Attorney General's office in hopes to get this resolved. I don't feel I should get screwed when it is their products that are the issue.

We have had this microwave for 20 years, and we have never had a problem of any kind. The keys are flat on the front and are a little difficult to keep clean, but otherwise we have had no problems with function at all.

As I read all the comments/reviews out loud, my husband is trying to fix the door on our Panasonic Inverter Microwave. We have the same problem as most consumers... the door latch. It won't engage and other times the microwave continues to run when the door is open. It's two years old. My brother and his wife had the other problem... they had a ghost! The microwave would turn on itself. My sister-in-law went online to discover what everyone else seems to know now. This is a dangerous product. Fearing their house would burn down when they weren't home, she called Sears (the place of purchase) to express her concerns. Sears told her to pick out any microwave she wanted and they would cover the cost. Kudos to Sears! After reviewing all the comments, I have to wonder what it will take before there is a recall on this very dangerous appliance. As I finish this comment, my husband has given up his efforts. He says keeping this piece of junk isn't worth losing our house or worse.

We purchased a Samsung OTR microwave model SMH9187W (from Sears) in June 2011 and it was installed in July by Sears. I returned from a 3-week trip in mid-August and found the microwave door ajar and the light on. The latch hooks on the door had no tension and could not keep the door closed. Everything seemed in working order when I hand held the door shut. I called Sears and they said, "Sorry, you're one month out of warranty. For $75.00, we'll send a serviceman out, but you'll have to pay for parts and labor in addition to that." However, they offered a deal of almost $300.00 for a service contract to take care of the problem. Big deal. I can buy a new microwave (not a Samsung and not from Sears) for almost the same amount. So much for the consumer reports and salesman recommendation! So far, Samsung has provided no more encouragement. They recommended a close by repair service phone number and when called, they said they can supply the part for repair, but did not get back to me on a price. When asked, "Is it difficult to replace the part?" The response was, "Not for us." Such beautiful concern. I asked, "Are there instructions with the part?" No. How do you people stay in business? Beginning to sound like pre-WWII Japanese junk.

I just bought a brand new Maytag microwave a few weeks ago. The door is already broken! I’ve been sitting here 4 hours! waiting for a repairman man. No call, no show! I am missing work and gym time because MAYTAG sold me a faulty microwave in the first place! Never again will I buy Maytag products!

My GE Adora microwave is about 6 years old and for the last year it has had an issue with moisture in-between the glass front door. It was streaky and now I have cloudy blotches. Called GE repair and it would cost close to $90 just for service call not including parts/labor. Think twice before purchasing this microwave. Not a happy consumer.

Like all of the other reviews, I have had this microwave less than two years and it won’t run and reads “door open”. I am filing with the Better Business Bureau as the product advertises “partS” under 10 year under warranty when in reality it is one part with a VERY limited warranty. In order to determine if my issue was covered under warranty I would need to pay $189 not including parts in labor. I called several times and customer service indicated that they had never heard of this issue (which upon looking at this site seems hard to believe) and I would need to gamble the $189 to see if it was covered. Terrible product, terrible customer service.

GE Model WES1130DM2BB MFG APRIL 2011, bought Oct 2011 @ SAMs Club. Microwave continues to run after cook time and will not stop until unplugged! Service Dept offers a $25 discount on a new GE Microwave after cutting cord & sending info plate in. I am concerned this microwave will cause a fire! Luckily I was near and unplugged it!

Purchased a microwave 5 weeks ago. When cooking it smells like something is burning. GE would only issue a goodwill certificate. Now I'm forced to buy another GE product. After taking the cover off it's clear that one of the connectors actually melted. It bubbled up and turned black. Because of this and the fact that other reviewers had the same problem. I don't want to buy another GE product. I don't think it's unreasonable to get a refund since it's only been 5 weeks. If I have purchased at a different store with a longer return policy I would be able to just bring it back to the store. Apparently the quality of GE products has gone down. I would not recommend.
