Samsung Microwave model no SMH9151STE - I received the SE Error for the first time a week ago or so and followed the instructions provided to clear the error so that the microwave can function again. Unplugging did reset and clear the SE error only for about 12 hours and then it came back again. I called Samsung and discovered that my warranty had expired. The microwave is under 2 years old. The angering part is that it took the very nice repairman about 15 to 20 minutes total to switch out the part and correct the issue. The total cost of the part was $33.61. I was charged $135 plus tax for about 20 minutes of labor. This seems like a common error and since this is the case, why doesn't Samsung provide some sort of discount since their product is defective? Samsung should stand behind their products and offer customers experiencing the SE error some sort of discount or no charge for 20 minutes of labor!

I purchased a GE Cafe Over-the-Range Microwave along with a GE Range. It was delivered on Nov 2009. The control panel started acting up and quit working altogether in May 2011. I called GE and found that the replacement part and repair was almost as much as I paid for the microwave. After talking to several people and making my case, I was told they would give me a discount on replacing my unit. I was to look at microwaves and let them know which one I wanted. I have left several messages and no one at GE will return a call.

We purchased this Thor kitchen range because of the great reviews for this product all over north america. The reason for checking all the reviews was because of the price. This stove really is just as good and just as nice as stoves that are twice the price. Compare this stove to any high end gas stoves with the same appearance and you will be pleasantly surprised. The stove arrived quickly and very well packaged. Easy to unwrap and it was undamaged. The only complaint I would have would be the fact that Lowes did not stock the propane conversion kit The conversion process to propane was ok, but I wish the stove was available already converted for an extra $200. That would be worth it. However, once converted it operated beautifully. The only issue I have with the stove is that the small burner doesn't operate well unless it has a pot over it, and that might just be a gas pressure issue at my own home. Normally I would never write a product review but the product deserves another very good review. Most internal parts are high quality, the stainless steel is a decent gauge and of good quality, the grates on top are heavy and flawless. Thor industries really did make a commercial quality product at an affordable price. It's one of my best purchases.

My Panasonic microwave starts on its own when you open the door. Zap! Panasonic says don't worry about it. Their suggestion: it's not worth fixing. Buy a new one. Guess I will, but not one of theirs. Right?

My GE Profile Spacesaver XL 1800 microwave's megatron went out. It is still under warranty, but GE refuses to send me the new megatron because they demand that their service company needs to install it. Estimate is $300 for installation. I had a local appliance repair shop look at it and they will install for $80. GE refuses to ship to them or me and state that their legal department has restricted sending to the customer or unauthorized repair shops. So I am being blackmailed for $300 in order to get the megatron replaced under warranty.

Model WMH1164XWS-3 Microwave - I purchased a brand new home in 2012 with all stainless appliances, within 3-5 months the outside door handle where it attaches at top and bottom of microwave has chipped, so that the screws are shown. I haven't had the time to look up the replacement part until just now. Very disappointed in the amount of money a handle only cost.

We purchased an LG LMV1813ST late July of 2012, but it was not used until late November of 2012. After we finally moved into our new house, we bought all new LG appliances totaling $5,500.00. On January 14th, we went to use the microwave and it would not heat anything. We have a technician coming out tomorrow. Not happy at all. It was used not even two months!

After getting the SE message on my two-year built-in Samsung microwave, I did some research and saw how someone said to clean the ribbon on the display panel. Well, I was too afraid to mess with the control panel so I placed a service call in. The tech came and I told him what I read so I asked him to remove the ribbon or membrane and then reconnect. Sure enough, the thing started working right away. I spent $100 on service call. So I hope someone else can use this information. So next time, just remove button panel and unplug ribbon membrane and reconnect.
