Midea Heat Pump Model V12W

R32 M Thermal A Series Mono/Split

M thermal Mono type has the integrated design with built-in hydraulic kit and only water pipe is needed to be installed at site. It not only supplies hot water for fan coil, floor heating system, sanitary water tank, but is also compatible with the solar collector, gas furnace, boiler and other heat sources.

Midea is a well-known manufacturer of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) products, including heat pumps, for both residential and commercial use. They offer a wide range of products designed to provide efficient heating and cooling solutions.

The term "Mono/Split" in the model name suggests that this heat pump operates as a split system, which consists of an outdoor unit (compressor) and an indoor unit (evaporator) that are connected via refrigerant lines. This setup allows for more flexibility in installation and zoning, as multiple indoor units can be connected to a single outdoor unit.

The "R32" in the model name refers to the type of refrigerant used in the heat pump. R32 is a more environmentally friendly refrigerant compared to older refrigerants like R410A. It has a lower global warming potential (GWP) and is becoming more widely adopted in modern HVAC systems.

Midea Heat Pump Model V12W Error Codes

Midea heat pumps, like many other HVAC systems, use error codes to help diagnose issues. The specific error codes can vary depending on the model and type of your Midea heat pump. It's crucial to refer to your heat pump's user manual or technical documentation for accurate information about error codes.

Here are some general Midea heat pump error codes and their potential meanings. Keep in mind that these are generic examples, and your specific model may have different codes:

E0: This code may indicate a communication error between the indoor and outdoor units. It could be due to wiring issues or a malfunction in the communication circuit.

E1: This code could be related to a high or low voltage issue. Check the power supply to the heat pump and ensure that it meets the specified requirements.

E2: This code might indicate a temperature sensor fault. The temperature sensor is crucial for the accurate operation of the heat pump.

E3: This code may relate to issues with the fan motor or fan speed control. It could indicate a problem with the indoor or outdoor fan.

E4: This code could point to issues with the refrigerant pressure or a refrigerant leak.

E5: This code may indicate a fault with the outdoor unit's defrosting function.

Again, it's essential to check your specific model's documentation for accurate information about error codes and their meanings.

If you encounter an error code on your Midea heat pump, it's advisable to consult the user manual first. The manual typically includes a troubleshooting guide that may provide steps to address common issues associated with specific error codes. If you're unable to resolve the problem or if the issue persists, it's recommended to contact Midea customer support or a qualified HVAC technician for assistance. They can provide accurate diagnostics and perform any necessary repairs.

We got our new Heat Pump Hot Water System (170L) installed a few weeks ago, and it is working great, I was a bit worried that we might run out of hot water, but we haven't yet & it has been fine. I would definitely recommend getting some sort of UV protector for the screen, we have a bit of film stuff that the plumber gave us, and that protects it a bit from the UV rays. Just hope it keeps working for several years to come.

Love the price, love the performance, love the hot water, love the efficiency, love the quiet, love everything about this unit. We got this 2 years ago under SA's HWS efficiency rebate scheme, and we couldn't be happier with it. We get nice piping hot water whenever we need it and haven't run out of hot water yet. It sits quietly in the courtyard, doing its thing, and uses minimal electricity. We purchased direct from Chromagen and their customer service was great, and the install was a breeze. What's not to love??

i am giving this a 5 star rating based on the performance of this 12000 btu unit. with that said ive only had it a week now hopefully it will give me years of service. i was replacing a 10000 btu unit that was still working but not up to the task of cooling half of my small house. this little unit now cools most of the house and i have turned off other small units else where in the house. thats the good, my only complaint is the confusing symbols and unnecessarily complicated instructions. i almost returned it before i figured out that a wagon wheel was the symbol for ac (?). i live in florida and its been in the mid 90s lately, if i let this run on high all night its 65 in the living room in the morning! udate 7/19/19. this great little unit has functioned perfectly so far. i checked my electric bill and the last two months i saved over $150 per month over last year so it has paid for itself several times over already.

Ours arrived without any damage. I was still concerned about how well it was going to work after ready reviews of DOA units. I’m happy to say, it works great. Better than expected doesn’t begin to sum it up! I love all the settings and the remote is far better than most window ac units. It out cools the larger Haier unit that we were using previously. Its also much more quiet than the old unit. We have a Frigidaire unit upstairs that is beyond “loud” that we will soon be replacing with another of these units. I was always taught to let ac units sit in their upright position for at least 24 hours before turning them on to prevent damage to the compressor. I have always followed this rule and have yet to have an issue. As someone who works in shipping: If your unit arrived in a severely damaged box, it should be taken up with/claimed with the company that delivered it. Not blamed on the manufacturer by leaving a poor review. 7 people found this helpful

This product was easy to install, works well so far, and isn't too loud. It is installed in a very large room (bigger than what it is recommended for) and cools the entire area off nicely and quickly. We had planned on purchasing another for the large room but we don't seem to need it. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This replaced an instantaneous LPGas H.W.S Very quiet, about the noise of a quiet microwave or small external aircon unit on low. I run economy mode (heat pump only) always and i estimate it uses 70% less energy than a non heatpump HWS would use. And it's way cheaper than LPGas A timer allows you to use your solar power energy rather than grid energy (if your on net metering) through the day and also use the hottest parts of the day for heat pump efficiency. However the clock resets (timer settings do not) if power is lost meaning a start through the night using grid power if you forget to reset the clock. I expect a 10 year life like any other HWS or Aircon appliance and time will tell.
