I had a Jenn-Air range but I didn’t like the way it cooked on the gas. A couple of my cousins and family members have Viking ranges and I also researched on them. I liked the reputation that I read about them and bought a few things - a range, a washer and dryer, and a refrigerator. The Viking range is much better. It cooks much faster. It’s of good quality but the only thing I’m having a problem with is the grates in the oven. I can’t get it in and out easily. It sticks. Also, they didn’t explain clearly that I bought the non-self-clean oven. They didn’t go through everything for me. They didn’t tell me the ins and the outs of each of the ranges. If I could exchange this, I would get the other one.

My parents had Vikings and I initially had a Thermador range. I had to cycle through four Thermador ranges in a year and I decided to switch to Viking because I knew it would be more reliable even though it didn’t have all the features that I wanted. It’s quality is good and solid. I like the burners, which put out a high BTU.

In 2006 I purchased a 36 4 burner with griddle range, the under counter dishwasher, the large Viking fridge and outdoor pit - all Viking. I strongly recommend staying away from all Viking appliances. I have been dissatisfied with every single one of these appliances! They are very expensive and I am now on a first name basis with my repairman. When I attempted to contact Viking, their customer service was beyond inept. They never ever returned my phone calls and when I reported this to the BBB, I finally got a response. After a long discussion, I was supposed to get a return phone call. Well 3 months went by, then 6, then 12. I reported it to the BBB again. So lo and behold, I got a phone call. Nothing was done. There was excuse after excuse. Regardless of money, there are better alternatives to Viking. Talk to your local appliance repair company and they will tell you who to look at and who to avoid. I promise that they will not recommend Viking. Proceed with caution.

When I walked into the showroom, the people were nice and I liked them. I went with Viking ranges because of the quality of the product and we like it a lot. We have the whole set -- the range, the refrigerator, the under cabinet microwave, dishwasher. All of it is easy to clean and they work well. The Viking dealer, Judys Appliance, was also good. The only comment I have is I have a couple issues with my refrigerator. They came out and fixed it. But with the range itself, the one time I needed a service, it was supposed to have a five-year warranty on the burners, the one part was not covered under the warranty. So, why advertise a five-year warranty on the burners if they are not going to cover the burner part? Nevertheless, I recommend it to anybody.

We bought a brand new house and all the appliances were Viking. The original refrigerator that was discontinued was really substandard in the sense that the design was flawed. The freezer is at the bottom half so anything that tumbled from the refrigerator fell on the freezer and the freezer frame was dented. It kept getting dented. I wasnt very happy with the quality so I had to replace that with the model that came about after it was discontinued. I was trying to replace the bottom freezer and I called their parts department and one was better, but the other was charging me $2,000 just for the bottom freezer while a new model costs $3,500. Theres just no recourse as far as their customer service. In addition, somebody recognized that the design was flawed, so they changed it. The freezer frame was no longer stainless steel. It was very very hard plastic and it didnt jut out anymore. So, its horrible that such a design was at all created. There was no quality control. We then got a new refrigerator from Best Buy and they were pretty good except for the delivery that had so much bumbling all over the place. The first people who delivered it didnt know how to handle refrigerators because the foot was dented. Im very dissatisfied with all the Viking appliances we had and Im never going to recommend Viking ever.

We got a Viking Refrigerator three months ago. The freezer stopped working, we called the service and the lady who talked to me on the phone was rude. They sent someone and he found that the fan was broke. They came again last week, they ordered a new fan and they put it in. The fan was working, but the problem was not solved. The problem was the freezer temperature was 14 degrees higher than preset. And the refrigerator part, the upper shelf temperature was 10 degrees below the preset, so all the yogurt are frozen. I called them again and they will send another company to fix it. Its an expensive piece we paid for. Its not even as good as the cheap refrigerator we bought from Fensa. I suggest quality control.

We love our two Viking refrigerators. The only thing my wife ever wanted was some type of outside water and ice. Other than that, Viking has great quality products and great service. Recently, our microwave door would not open. We had a Viking service guy out and hes great. We dont even have to be at our house. He has our code to get in. Hes having to order parts and that microwave has only been installed for less than six months.

I own a heat and air company so we work on these refrigerator units and Viking is a middle-grade nice refrigerator. Then other brands, like Sub-Zero, have two pieces of refrigeration. They have a separate unit for a freezer. So I chose Viking. Besides, the floor-plan price for this unit was $7,500. I was going there thinking I was gonna spend about $17,000. But I bought this from Plugs and although this one is normally $12,000, the guy there said he would sell it to me for 7,500 bucks. I told him I didnt want a year-old model. I wanted to have a new one and he said that it was a brand new model. But I later found out that it was a year- or two-year-old unit sitting on the floor. The way it was sold to me is my only problem. But as far as the unit itself, it’s fine. I like everything about it.When we had a water leak problem, I had my son go look at it and it was bad water inlet valve. It was no big deal. But when I called the factory, they said that it was not under warranty. I told them that it was though. It was brand new and it had not been in the house for four weeks at the time. It took three months but I finally got a water inlet valve. The salesman from Plugs got involved with his Viking representative so he got it for me. However, if I have a problem tomorrow, what’s gonna happen with my warranty? I gotta call that dude back now at Plugs and ask about that. But now, I’m having a problem with everything freezing on the front shelf. It’s just on the top shelf though, where the air blows out of the evaporator. And they have a fix and it doesn’t cost me anything. I recently found out Viking actually makes a piece of duct, that I just need to call in the factory to get.

We were at Best Buy looking at a different refrigerator brand and there was a wonderful Viking refrigerator on sale there because it was being discontinued. We ended up buying it and it’s been an outstanding product. I like that it’s huge compared to any that I’ve had in the past. I don’t currently have the Viking range but I had one in Chicago, and that is another reason why we looked at Viking. However, I’ve had some problems with the ice-maker so we had some service going recently. Customer service had to order some parts for me so it’s not fixed yet. But overall it’s a wonderful product if you’re able to afford it.

We purchased our Viking 48 built in in 2005 and during the next two years, had (11) service calls to either fix the ice maker or the temperature control module. The ice maker never functioned properly and we finally replaced it at a cost of over $550. Their service rep. actually argued and yelled at my wife on the phone because the item was out of warranty. How in the hell can any company stand for that type of customer relations and expect people like us to recommend their products?? But there is a light at the end of the tunnel and there are some companies that still know the business of good customer relations and that is Wolf / Sub Zero. Point in fact, my double oven control unit went out. We called the Wolf service center and asked them if there was anything they could do for us to minimize the cost of replacing the module at $760.00. They immediately said that they would waive the cost of the parts but we would have to pay a service fee of $125. DONE DEAL. By the way, the unit was ten years old. I tell this story to everyone who will listen, perhaps Viking will, someday. To be fair, I did find out that there was a recall on the refrigerator door pins that could break and the door could fall off. I called and they were very nice and will cover the replacement costs and parts 100%, which they should on any safety recall.

The Viking Pro dishwasher we had was recalled because the heater would start fires, apparently about 20 of them! So they sent a tech to fix it - that took 3 months! So we washed dishes by hand. Then after they supposedly fixed the dishwasher it would give error codes like flooding, but it was not doing that it just would stop mid cycle - sometimes. So they came again after much complaining and could not fix it and suggested it MIGHT be a control board problem. Even though when they ran diagnostics there was nothing found to be broken. It was clear to me that fixing the heater problem caused the machine to randomly stop, yet they refused to fix it. Viking wanted to charge me for a new controller board so adding $400 to a unit I already do not trust. Clearly if it worked before they took it apart and replaced the wiring harness and heater then something they did during the repair broke something else!

The house that we moved into didnt have a refrigerator and we liked some of Vikings other products such as the French door oven that we planned to buy in the future, so we decided to match our appliances and start with the refrigerator. The quality of the Viking refrigerator that I got was very good. I liked its looks and finish, and the space inside was also good. The reps have been very helpful every time I had to call them to register the product or when had a question, and theyve been very quick to respond and get back to me, and give me the answer that I needed. Viking was what the builder was providing as appliances, so we went ahead and bought the Viking fridge to match. The installers didn’t put the basket straight in the freezer so I had to figure that out. I had to go to one of the other houses and look at their fridge to see how to do it. The builder also gave me the wrong fridge. It’s the one with the water feature inside. They gave me an upgrade but we liked to have cold water coming out of our fridge, so that’s the only thing we miss. Other than that it’s been great. I love the freezer in the bottom and the double door where I could put big stuff in. That’s what Ive always wanted. Plus the crisper is really good. Its a very reliable product.

Viking is a valuable brand and it conveys quality. Purchasing our range was super easy. We looked at a lot of local, brick-and-mortar stores here, but no one carried it. They werent carrying a lot of different things because of inventory issues with COVID. So, we ended up ordering it online through a website called Appliances Connection. We got it within six weeks. So, it was great. Install was seamless. Im pretty happy with the rebate. As far as the range itself, I like that the knob lights up and that I can change the colors on it. I like also the bronze gold colored burners. What I dont like about it is you cant keep the bronze gold color burners looking new. Theyre already discolored. So, thats frustrating. Also, in the oven, its hard to tell when its at temperature, as well as theres no broil setting, which is strange. Ive never had another without broil setting on it.

We bought the Viking Series 7 48” Dual fuel range with the ViChrome gridd
We bought the Viking Series 7 48” Dual fuel range with the ViChrome griddle for our remodel. The range looks really good, unfortunately we need one that works as well. Let me start with what works well. The burners are very nice, delivering consistent heat. The stove top is easy to clean with few nooks and crannies. Now for the things that don’t work well. The ViChrome griddle looks good but a horrible surface to cook on. The only thing that doesn’t stick like superglue to the surface is pancakes, as long as we use ghee. Any other fat or oil does not work at all. The surface is very difficult to clean. The griddle itself has a problem that there is a high temperature difference between front and back. The back will burn things while the front will undercook. Only about a 6” piece of the griddle cooks at the set temp. I had the workings of the griddle changed out by Viking service but it did not change a thing. We gave up using it as it’s not worth the trouble.By far the biggest disappointments are the two electric ovens. There is also a large temp difference between front and back of the ovens, upwards of 10 degrees. This too was addressed by Viking service but no change. The only way to get even cooking is to manually rotate the dish. The convection fan sounds like a jet engine and makes this very large range shake. Viking service replaced the fan in the larger oven but it shakes now more than ever. We gave up using the convection ovens as the noise and shaking are just too much to stomach particularly given the $15,000 price tag. Finally, each oven has a heating element at the top which shuts off when oven reaches temperature, unfortunately it will kick on during cooking when oven is at temp and proceed to burn whatever it is we are cooking. I lost count of how many dishes have been ruined by this. We have to watch the heating element constantly to insure the dishes don’t burn. The range looks great, but what a huge disappointment. I am a second generation Viking customer, growing up with the older models that built the great Viking name. There will not be a third generation Viking customer in my family. There are better products out there a 1/4th the price.

Had Viking stove top for 3 years without any problems. One day spilled about 3 tablespoons of water over a flame adjuster knob which somehow shorted the wiring inside!!! Then it seems in the entire Northwest suburbs of Chicago, there is only ONE Viking authorized repair service. So you guessed it... they charge astronomical prices. Went to a highly peer-rated appliance repair service that was a lot less costly. They stated Viking is slow as snails in giving up replacement parts unless you work through their authorized repair shops. Sure enough, its been almost 2 months without parts shipped. I had a girlfriend who had a Viking range from years ago and it worked really well for her with no problems. That was encouraging for me. Although Viking started having a lot of issues, it sounded in various sites that I was reading that they had been taken care of so I decided I would go with the company. The sales rep showed us a lot of variety of different brands of stoves. When it came to us looking at the Viking range, he didnt pressure us and he told us to take our time. He just showed us the various features of it. We were pleased and we went back a second time. We were still satisfied with the way he was handling everything. Were really were enjoying our range. Were happy with the intensity of the heat and how it responds. Its such a solid range and its very efficient. It looks good and it feels good to work with it. Also, we got our range at a reduced price as it was on sale. That helped. For what we paid for it and given the quality, it was money well-spent. I looked at other models of stoves and this one seemed superior for the difference in cost.

The first range, a 36 open burner and the range hood, have been fine for 12 years. Surviving a move to a new house even. The dishwasher purchased at the same time started badly staining glassware & silver after a couple years. Viking said it was crappy dishwasher soap (phosphates removed) but the Bosch at our ranch did fine. Limeaway removed the staining temporarily. Inspected the racks and found the plastic coating cracked exposing the carbon wire core which was rusting. Viking said theyd happily sell me new racks for $450. Compared it to a neighbors dishwashers, found it to be an Asko. Racks were less than half Vikings. Very Funny. 30 open burner gas stove at ranch would not light/stay lit. Viking said likely master propane regulator was bad (but fireplace & Rannai water heater worked fine). Third-party repair person specified by Viking found range regulator out of limit, requested replacement. A month later, no regulator after many calls. I built a water manometer, adjusted Viking regulator to spec, range worked fine. Then noticed when range top leveled, triangular gaps between range & counter face. Adjusting feet to plumb range sides with counter made range top 1/2 bubble off. Viking said floor not level (it was fine). Problem was range not square, back had been screwed on with sides not plumb. Called third party repair person, he said call somebody else. Viking hadnt paid him for diagnosing the regulator problem. Removed back, squared stove, replaced back (new screw holes required), problem solved. BBQ looked massively professional but cast-iron burners holes continually rusted shut, had to be reamed twice a year. Porcelainized sheet iron flame diffusers and grates didnt last two years (their new ones are stainless), found SS burners, diffusers & grates on the internet for 1/4 Vikings prices. Drip-drawer plastic (!), rollers melted immediately, replaced with SS. Moral: Great appearance, great brochures, celebrity endorsements (paid, most likely), a generous retail mark-up (probably) encourages dealer loyalty and dealer omission of known crappy quality control, crappy build details and total absence of warranty service discharge. Wouldnt buy anything Viking again...

Viking has been around for a while. We knew about the quality when we chose it. The rep was very knowledgeable and had a lot of experience, but it probably came down to when we knew about the really good price on which we got it. The quality of the range is okay although its not as well-thought-through as we might have thought it would be. The inability to effectively clean it is the most disappointing part of it. The technician who came out and serviced it knew what he was doing. He once said this is a known issue, and it just came with the range. We purchased all new Viking Appliances from Pacific Sales in Santa Barbara. Within 1 year we threw out the Viking dishwasher and replaced it with a Bosch. Within 5 years we had about a dozen services on the Viking built-in refrigerator due to leaking water and icing up in the freezer. We are extremely disappointed with Viking products. We spent about $1500 on the dishwasher and $7,300 on the refrigerator. I would strongly discourage anyone from buying Viking products. We are about to buy a new refrigerator and it certainly will NOT be a Viking and we will not be buying our refrigerator from Pacific Sales due to their lack of customer support. Not only that but when Pacific Sales originally delivered the appliances their truck smashed a wall in our entry driveway. It took us a couple of months and many complaints to multiple levels of management to get them to fix the wall - and after all of our efforts they would only pay for half of the damages.

Me and my wife decided to get a Viking Range because of the build quality and simplicity. We like it better based on appearance and what our relatives told us of their experiences. However I had a bad experience with the dealer. They told me at that time I purchased that if Im not ready to put a delivery, I can have this range later. Several months later when I was ready, my dealer all of a sudden told me that they cannot deliver Viking anymore. There was some sort of disagreement and they couldnt sell Viking anymore because Viking specifically prohibited this dealer from selling their brand. I actually lost money because Viking raised the price by that time and the dealer referred me to a different dealer and promised that they will give the same price. But the new dealer couldnt provide the same price. The second dealer sold me a Viking and gave me a free warranty. Im not sure if I needed it but at least something as a compensation for a little loss. They delivered a new range. A few days after the delivery when I installed the range, I noticed when turning the handles it caused some sort of noise or feeling that something fishy is going on. So I called and they sent a repairman. The repairman took the handle off, adjusted something around it and after that it became better. The repairman also noticed that one of the screws was not original and it was quite surprising. Either Viking quality control is not correct or someone else changed the screw. I dont know how it would happen. But I rate it as minor inconveniences.

I had nothing but headaches with my Viking Refrigerator because of the little thing at the top for ventilation. The guy installed it too far to one way. He acted like he knew what he was doing and as though it was no problem. He took the tape off, and put it all the way to the right when it should’ve been centered up. The guy from Pac Sales says they’re not going to do anything about it. I said, “I’m an older person. I can’t take it off.” We’ve got to pull the refrigerator out and the thing at the top. My real dilemma is that they want me to take it off, take it down to the store and get the new one to put it back on. The lady says, “Well, why don’t you hire a handyman to do that?” I go, “A handyman? That’s gonna cost me money to have a handyman take this off.” I felt very dissatisfied with that situation. I like the refrigerator and how it’s keeping certain things cold. Its roomy with lots of different compartments. Its really nice and looks beautiful. My favorite feature would be the ice deal because I can just scoop it out. But I’m having a problem with the filler thing, that I feel I’ve been gypped. I should’ve been more assertive towards the salesman and the others. I was lost in the delivery and now I’m at odds with them to have it fixed. Viking should have some very faint lines from the top of the refrigerator where they should’ve had the insert.

I didn’t realize the appliances were registered, so when I needed someone to come out quickly to service the oven and I did the registration online, I needed to wait because the people that needed to accept the registration were gone for the day. It was a little disappointing that there wasn’t an automated process or extended hours because appliances are important and if they don’t work, its hard to wait.

Im very disappointed about the service department. This problem started in December and until now it is not solved. They ordered the wrong parts 3 times. Executive Appliance say that Viking kept sending the wrong parts. I lost a lot of money throwing away spoiled food and at this point I really need to be compensated for that and I dont believe that this fridge is going to be fixed. It should be replaced.

Weve seen Viking Ranges installed in other peoples homes. Prior to purchasing from them, I did a little bit of shopping at Thermador, but my wife had her heart set on the Viking Range. I purchased it through Appliances Connection online, which was very simple. I talked to them and they shipped it to me well-informed of all the delivery dates. It was a pleasant experience dealing with them and arranging for shipment and delivery. We got the whole package with the range and the vent hood and an external ventilator. However, Im seeing some issues with it and Im not really pleased with some things on it. The stoves leveled but the griddle isnt. Its made crooked and the oil runs off one side and immediately dump it into the catch pan. Then we had a Viking service man come out because the main door wont stay closed. When bumped, it pops open and turns the light on and shuts the oven off.My wife said that the oven works well. She loves all the features of the convection and its temperature control. Shes also very happy with the burners, though it has a large diameter. Maybe I should’ve got the Series 7 instead of the Series 5 because of the size of the burners. All in all, its not quite perfect for me, but my wife loves it and she thinks its perfect.

We moved into a new house and wanted to get a new cooking range. We bought one from Viking, which is our second Viking range, and its all gas. Its the smallest of the 500 series and 30 inches in size. I like the way it works for the most part and the fact that it doesn’t have a lot of electronics on the front. The soft-closed door and the roller-bearing shelves are nice, too. The quality of our new range is pretty good. However, we’ve had two real and serious issues in the last six weeks that we’ve owned it. The first problem was that the cooling fan had a bad bearing. It was making a total racket and it was an issue right out of the box. But Kimball Electronics, one of Vikings factory authorized dealers, was able to replace the cooling fan. The second issue was that the oven would not light and it was very temperamental about getting the spark for the oven. But Kimball Electronics fixed that this week by putting in a new orifice where the gas comes into the oven and adjusting the air so the spark could ignite without spreading gas all over the kitchen. Kimbal Electroniics have been great and so far, we have been very pleased with Viking. We have been for many years and with our new range. We got the dishwasher special with that as well and the dishwasher has been good, too.

I had some Viking products before and I love their products. I got a refrigerator and its very organized, compressed and is a nice statement in the kitchen. It also seems to be energy efficient because it doesn’t run in a cycle. It runs on and off a lot versus the thing compressing the air. It also maintains the temperature very easily and its quiet. The guys who brought the ref in were extremely careful and good at moving the big and heavy product. But I was offended by my experience with their dealers. They sent out a refrigerator which was boxed and I saw the delivery guys open it in front of my house and it was damaged in the box. They brought it in and they said the damage could be easily fixed by replacing one piece. I told them it was fine, I needed the refrigerator for the holiday. But as I installed the refrigerator, I noticed one packaging slip on the side of it so I removed it and inside the slip was the receipt that a new box had been ordered for this refrigerator. The refrigerator was sold to another family in a nearby suburb and returned by that family because it was damaged. But the dealer sold it to me as a new product.I immediately called the supplier and it was like the girl had been waiting for my call. They knew exactly what was going on and they ordered me another one. The other one came and they said, “Just use this one in the meantime.” I wasn’t really out a refrigerator for a long period of time, but it was just the idea of them trying to slip this damaged one past me. I would be hesitant in purchasing a high-priced item from this company again even though Im happy with the product itself.

I’ve had friends with Viking and I thought it was a really good one. But mine has had a lot of trouble. My range was put together wrong so it burned out wires. It won’t work half of the time. I’ve only had it since November and I probably cooked on it three months out of all these months I’ve had it. It’s not really good. Viking sent someone to look at it and they worked on it one time, replaced some things, and got it going. But something else went wrong and maintenance people were sent to check it but Viking refused to pay for the service. They were supposed to get in touch with me to figure out what Viking is gonna do about my problem. The guys who worked on my unit said Viking just needs to send me a new one because mine never worked. We’ve spent a ton of time and I haven’t been able to use my range. It’s still sitting there. Viking got feedback from me and I’m still waiting on them to call me back. They won’t return my phone calls. I used my unit when it worked but I waited two months to fix it the first time. That’s so unsatisfactory. I need someone to fix my Viking.

WARNING!! YOU ARE ABOUT TO MAKE THE WORST DECISION OF YOUR LIFE IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY A VIKING APPLIANCE!! Keep reading: DO NOT waste your money!! We had a KitchenAid range/oven that lasted for years. Got tired of its look and decided to spend a lot more to show off our brand new renovated kitchen. So we went with Viking – possibly the worst mistake of my life! For starters the rubber feet on the top grates kept falling off. Then the oven racks stopped sliding followed by the electronic ignition never going off after the burner was started. Made a huge stink at PC Richard and they finally got Viking to send a technician. Needless to say that sent an independent service company who only showed up TWO weeks after we opened the service call. They replaced the grates and oven shelves... which lasted only a month!!Out of stupidity I had put a deposit for an almost $10,000 order for our second home in Vermont. The salesperson at PC Richard told us the D3 series was the economy Viking line. (Seriously??? $3G for it? Could have bought 4 KitchenAid ovens!) So he recommended their top of the line. However, after getting stuck with this disastrous lemon, I canceled the order. I never believed on reviews but the self-cleaning cycle JUST stopped working. I got so mad that I decided that I will do whatever I can do, for the rest of my life, to educate consumers so they do not get trapped by Viking into believing that Viking is a state of the art, top appliance manufacturer. WRONG!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! DO SOME RESEARCH ONLINE. FIND A GOOD MANUFACTURER BUT NEVER, NEVER IN YOUR LIFE BUY VIKING.UPDATED ON 08/31/2016: This is a follow up after I posted a complaint here. After posting the complaint they were very quick to email me (customer service support supervisor Juanita **). An independent technician fully evaluated the Viking appliance and made a list of items that needed to be replaced. The list is 5 rows long - that by itself says a lot about the range. The technician was excellent in explaining everything to us. Upon his departure he said that Viking will need to approve the parts or decide to replace the range. This was on august 10, 2016. Today, three weeks have passed and... not a word from Viking. I called the service company and... Surprise!!!! Viking has not even responded to their request. So here is another important piece of information. Be aware!! They claim excellent service... Well you are for a big, big surprise. As big as the one you are going to get once you buy a Viking appliance. No matter which type, not matter where. Horrible company. Save your hard earned money and certainly dont spend it on a piece of garbage like it.

Viking is a good product and it looks beautiful but the functionality is a big problem. I bought a high-end oven, thinking that it would be more efficient and Id be able to get better use out of it. Instead, Im having a problem with this brand-new and expensive oven thats over $5,000 after having it for less than two months. Ive bought a lot of different appliances in my time and Ive never run into a problem with an appliance immediately. I asked my husband to preheat the oven and he had to shut it off because it wasnt turning on and there was a gas smell in the house. Also, the microwave is a little weird. The fan has two speeds but it certainly sounds the same to me. I reached out to where I purchased the oven from and they sent somebody to service it.

Refrigerator purchased 2011 (along with Viking ranges & ovens) and just ran out of warranty in August 2014. Since purchase, the refrigerator door hinge was recalled due to faulty manufacturing which might have caused door to fall off when opening. Next, the on-off light switch in the lower freezer compartment had to be replaced (just outside of warranty period) due to ice forming on the switch. Ice in a freezer??? Finally, rust has formed on the freezer door rails, again right after the warranty expired. Multiple calls to Viking customer support yielded no satisfaction...their warranty policy makes no exceptions for quality problems outside of the warranty period. Needless to say, not a happy Viking customer.

BUYER BEWARE. They will NEVER replace a product that is brand new and doesnt work, they WILL keep sending repair people and order parts. Fact: Bought a new Viking refrigerator/freezer. Fact: Doors are cracked and freezer doesnt work, refrigerator freezing everything. Fact: Notified retailer, they sent two repair people to appraise, both said it should be replaced. Fact: Third repairperson finally told us what Viking wanted to say, which was it can be fixed if we replace the doors and thermostats.Vikings policy is they will NOT take back, even a brand new appliance, if they can replace all of the parts. Problem, parts have been on backorder so we have no freezer for 2 months and our refrigerator freezes our food. Viking did offer us $400 to buy another refrigerator until the parts finally come in. Where are we to put this, and where can I get one for $400 with installation? I have begged, literally, for them to replace it... I didnt ask for our money back, just replace with a quality item... They refused. I was better off with my other brands that were less money. I will NEVER EVER tell anyone to buy Viking. Honestly, it is a horrible situation.

Weve seen Viking Range in model kitchens and we decided to purchase from them because of the reputation of the range and its looks. We got the range, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, range hood. We ordered them online from Elite Appliance three years ago. We had them shipped to us, and then the contractor installed them. The range and the hood are great. Thats what theyre known for. Its sturdy, cooks really well and really fast. Also, the microwave has been fine, but the hinges on the inner compartments of the fridge broke, but it was just okay and Im still happy with it. However, the dishwasher is probably the only thing that I wouldnt buy again. It had a hose issue, so we had it looked at once. Other than that, we really love the range. It has been awesome and I would definitely buy one of those again.

I like the way the Viking ranges look and the salespeople were very nice. But the company that I bought my range from hired out delivery people. And they were a nightmare. Theyre not in-house so they had no clue and they didnt set up my range. But once I got my appliances, I was satisfied. All my kitchen is Viking and IIm really happy with my appliances. I bought an electric, five-burner convection since I live in a townhome and were not allowed to have gas. Ive had the range for about two months now and so far, everything has been excellent. My favorite feature of all time is the rack in the oven thats on hinges. You can pull it out completely without pulling it from the sides. You can extend the rack stand.

Everything with Viking range is beautiful and works great, but there’s a couple of things we’re concerned about, that aren’t working right. The racks in the oven are not lined up right. It’s very hard to move them in and out. It’s almost like they’re too narrow for the track, like they’re lopsided. It’s weird. And I got the microwave oven, the drawer one, to go with the stove and a part of it looks warped. But other than that, it’s perfect. I love it. They were installed last end of July. I love how it performs and it’s very easy to clean. The only thing, the burner size itself is very broad, so some of my pots, the heat comes more to the side versus the center. I wish it was adjustable, like the circle for the burner where the gas comes out. I wish they were able to do some smaller and some bigger, depending on what pot size I had.

I bought a house that had Viking appliances and one of them was a range. Its quality is great and I like the size. Plus, the burners are easily adjustable and I can find the exact heat I need. The appliances are good but they need to have more knowledgeable repair people and a more formal contact procedure in Canada. Ive had experience with other larger companies where you call a head office and they provide you with your repair. And it was not the experience I had with Viking. In Memphis, a lot of the really nice and elegant restaurants choose to use Viking products because of their quality and service. I purchased the Viking products from one of their suppliers, Metro Appliances, out at Jonesboro, Arkansas. The salesperson was great to deal with. He was very positive, upbeat and promotional for Viking and all other varieties that they’re carrying. That was a wonderful experience. But upon receiving my brand-new kitchen suite, the refrigerator had to be repaired instead of completely replaced. The doors were out of alignment and will not be fixed and upon the receiving my ice maker, it didn’t work and had to be completely replaced. I have had issues with my refrigerator going out already. I had to wait over a two-week service while all of my food was spoiled. Also, I currently have a problem with my microwave where the screen has gone out. I have already waited a week and a half and have yet to see the first person come and see what the problem is. I’ve made phone calls and chased all of these people around and I get very poor service for a $25,000 kitchen suite, professional series. But that’s the way they choose to run their business and promote their products and services. I would have been better off going with Whirlpool or Maytag.

I’ve seen Viking Ranges around, and Ive seen them evolve into a more sophisticated product than they were originally. They are robust, close to commercial in quality and performance, but have the benefit of being thoughtful of a residential home. They have convection, high heat, and different things one might want, like a broiler and a griddle, and you may or may not want it. And they have stood the test of time. I had a Garland for 25 years. It was commercial and rugged, but it didnt keep up.The reps were not knowledgeable at the store that I bought it at. But they were not unfriendly. I came prepared, having done my homework. And I felt a little rushed. But too bad for me, you have to have tough feelings. I had an insurance plan and something went wrong. And the insurance wasnt the easiest thing to work out. It was hard to get them and to get help. That was a little slippery. The irony of it all is my electrician rewired the kitchen and they had switched the neutral. The stove knew it, and was misbehaving, and we thought it was the stove. The people in Brooklyn who fixed it, top shelf. They could have told me anything. They diagnosed the truth. “You got the wrong polarity, fix it”. We fixed it, but the stove was never broken. That is more important to me than the sales people by a mile. Viking has excellent factory trained technicians. Love that. The reason I bought the Viking was it has a smart sensor. If the flame went out, it knew, and it lighted it. I was stunned at that. It may have been around a long time, but I didnt know about it. So it has everything I’ve seen in lots of places, but it has a smart technology that is lifesaving. It’s fantastic. The caveat is weve had it a few years. The quality is good, and the performance is excellent. We rattle the doors, turn the knobs and spill things just like anybody else. And so far, its just humming along. I would recommend that stove in a heartbeat. And this is a person who had a Garland for a long time.

Ive had a Viking stove for the past 10 years and I was pretty pleased with the product. And I bought a Viking dishwasher because my old dishwasher, that was approximately over 20 years old, went. So, when my built-in refrigerator went as well, I got a Viking refrigerator because I said, Im just gonna get a Viking. Everything else is Viking. I got my Viking refrigerator through P. C. Richard. In fact, I bought pretty much all my appliances through them and theyve been pretty good.I love my Viking refrigerator. Its roomy and holds a lot. So far, its a great product, so Im happy. I like the fact that the lighting is wonderful. You can see everything thats in it. In addition, I like the way that they have the drawers stacked. I have extra room to put other things in that I couldnt do with my other refrigerator because I had a side-by-side refrigerator then. So, if I had a wide tray, I could never fit it in that other refrigerator. But this one holds everything beautifully. The freezer is a little small, though. It holds a little less than my other refrigerator did but thats okay.

The many repair people we have met since we bought this Viking Dishwasher in 2014 love to tell us how its impossible to troubleshoot, and breaks all the time. We replaced our old and very good Viking Dishwasher- that dated back to 2005 or so with one from 2014 when it needed a new pump at the urging of a sketchy repair guy. For this newer one we needed to rinse thoroughly the dishes prior and use all kinds of boosting products. (Lemi Shine). We had frequent service calls. It now needs $800 worth of repair for possibly 1) Moisture sensors, 2) drain pump or a 3) new panel, maybe. If its all three then its more than 1,400 dollars. These are repairs no reputable company can do within 3 -4 weeks. But we did have one guy come, charge us $125 (less than the going rate so we were thrilled, for a moment) and ask for stop tips. But he didnt fix it. And then he left to go on a cruise. Literally. We use this place as a part-time house so this is the second vacation we have spent doing dishes for the whole household + guests by hand. That and calling Dishwasher repair people. Sometimes they come and fix it and it breaks again, a few moments after they drive away and lose cell service, conveniently. The consultations in our area with reputable companies a minimum of $150 without a repair -- just to look--even if you have had someone else diagnose. They still refuse to bring anything on the truck to help fix it in one shot. The old one was great. It was loud and sounded like a hurricane but it really washed dishes. Its 20/20 hindsight but I bet the repair guy knew all this as he counseled us so hard to take it off our hands. The new ones are not good.I heard Viking switched to a new manufacturer (I hear its Asko now, but I do not know), or to a lesser quality from that manufacturer. Once they are (expensively) repaired they can last a while--but this is all rumor. In the meantime they are impossible to troubleshoot and you can analyze the manual all you want, nothing works. You cannot even manually drain it. So I recommend only buying this if you are actually an appliance repair person yourself or have one in the family. Kind of like owning a vintage automobile. But not nearly as fun. Not exactly a wind in your hair kind of experience. More like a dishpan hands one. While you look outside thinking of all the things youd rather be doing. So in short, park your ego and do not buy this machine. Unless you really love to do dishes by hand while you look at a Viking label in your kitchen. You can thank me. We finally decided to buy a Sears Kenmore with a stainless steel front and a 5-year service warranty. I added that to never pay that $150 dollar service fee for no work for a long time. Including installation, delivery and the 5-year warranty it cost less than the estimated repair cost of this one. Oh and there were no guarantees on the repair. And I did tell you the repair guy is on a cruise until after we leave. This review was based on Viking Model 032715-0000. PS. Its hard to tell from the images I posted but the bottom is flooded. Drain is cleaned, as are pipes checked. You cannot reset it to get it to drain following instructions in the manual. Note huge pile-up of dishes on counter. This has been our life this vacation. Hurray for Sears. Thank you! We cannot wait.

I don’t like Viking appliances. I’ve had issues with the ice maker ever since I bought my refrigerator. They came out one time and replaced it because they said there was a fly in it. After they fixed it, it worked for about six months. And then I have to always pull the bin out, empty it out, clean it out and put it back in so it could work again. Now it doesn’t work at all. I’ve called Appliance Masters and they’ve been out many times. The repairman comes and he says nothing is wrong with it but I still have an issue. At this point, I have no warranty on it but I need someone to come out and actually fix it. I ordered the part to change it myself. The dealers were nice. But as far as when I emailed them, I got absolutely no response.I’ve had my dishwasher for seven years and when I turn it on, it runs over three hours and I have to open the door and see if it’s clean or dry. I never know how long it’s supposed to take. I never knew from the beginning because it never ran a full cycle. When I open it, I see all this water and soap in the bottom. I wash my dishes by hand. The water is sitting there. I have to spoon it out or cup it out because it starts to smell after a while. It’s a big issue for me because I’ve never been able to have a full cycle of clean dishes. When I called this last time to get somebody to help me with my appliances, the repairman told me he gets a negative call every single day and he’s always apologizing to the customers when they call. Consumers like me don’t know who to contact to say their complaint to. The sales guy was telling me that he gets this kind of call every single day. Generally, I’m easygoing and I don’t really like complaining about anything. But when it comes to a point when somebody’s so top-notch, I get very disappointed because of the name.Viking has a name like Mercedes-Benz. I was thinking I was getting the best and I was very wrong because if Viking was so great, their appliances would work properly. And even if I get a lemon, I understand that at least it could be fixed when someone comes out to check it. I was disappointed. I would not recommend Viking to anybody. I would not recommend the places I called for service for Viking. They just can’t fix it. I used to have a GE and it’s in my garage now. It works a lot better than Viking and I’ve had that a lot longer.

Weve just started using it about a month ago because we have just moved into the house which was previously under construction. For the last month, the range has been working fine. However, I surely wont ever buy a Viking product again because Ive tried to get through to Customer Service to tell them that I have a problem with my fridge, was on the phone for 40 minutes, and spoke to five different people, but I never got anywhere. So, Im not happy with Viking. Moreover, nobody in the area where we live in Toledo, Ohio, which is not a small city, will service and fix Viking products because of the experience that theyve had with the company. I had a frustrating and disappointing experience with Viking Ranges. I chose it because of the style and cost but the range I received was horrible. The first time I used it, I turned on the burners and then I turned on the oven. Underneath the burner, it exploded into a flame so I got a fire extinguisher and put it out. I called Viking and they sent out a repairman. He looked at it and he said that the range was a total loss so they arranged to have it replaced. When they came out to replace it, they arranged the time with me.The night before the agreed time, they called me on a robocall and told me a different time. So I called them back and I said, Ive already arranged to meet at the time we agreed. They called back and said, No, we cant do that. They said that the only way I can arrange the time is to wait til 24 hours before theyll tell me when the time would be. Thats hard to do if youre working so that was a hassle. So I said, I dont know what to do because I cant meet that time you want cause Ive already arranged with my work to be the other time, which we already agreed to, well, I already made the appointment. That was a week earlier and they said at that time it was fine to have the time that we arranged. So I did, then they said they didnt have another day when they could tell me when they could come back. They called me an hour later and said, Okay, we can meet your original time. They came and replaced my range.Viking’s customer service reps were fine but their service people were a hassle because of the scheduling. The actual service man who came out was fine. What happened was very dangerous. The repairman even said that if I turned on the oven first, let it go for a long time and then turn the burner on, there could have been an explosion. But I had the burner on first and then I turned the oven on so all it did was catch fire underneath the burner. My Viking Range works fine now. Its just that I got a really bad Viking Range in the beginning.

I bought the Viking range. I thought they actually could be sturdier or more solid than they actually are. Also, when you buy the products within the instruction manual, you get that piece of paper that you’re going to fill in and send back to Viking. It’s for the warranty so it gets registered. Four of them came back, return to sender, which I found very strange that they were preprinted Viking pieces of paper. All you have to do is put your name and address in front of them and put in the mail, and yet they all came back. I didnt call because I figured, I bought them from Pacific Sales and they had the information regarding them, so the warranty would be through them. I didn’t really think twice about it. And then, I managed to register some of them online, but then, I think two of the products weren’t even online to be able to register, which I thought was a little strange too. You need some ways where you feel confident about it the warranty process. Even so, Viking Ranges has been pretty good.

The subcontract company from the store was a little bit on the unprofessional side and basically didnt have a rate plan for installation. They just winged it, quoted me a price and we had to do the whole Tijuana dealing. Then, they ended up not doing some good finish work on installation of the hood. They did a partial job. However, they didnt damage anything.

I recently purchased what I thought was a nice used fridge (Viking Designer Series Fridge DDFF136DSS0) from someone only to find out that it most likely has a bad motherboard. It doesnt cool at all and the display on the front shows nothing but a blue screen. The buttons dont do anything except for light up. After researching, apparently these motherboard controls have been failing a lot with these models and Viking charges $1,000 for a new control board. That is insane for something that is failing regularly. For that price and the repair, I might have to just go and buy a new fridge from a different company. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of care that Viking has presented in the matter. This is a major problem with Vikings product and they do not care. I commented that I could buy a new fridge for the price of the part and the Viking agent laughed and said, I dont know why you think that, people say that all the time but you cant buy one from us at that price. It was rude. I am extremely disappointed. This was for my family but I am a home remodeller and will not be recommending Viking with this type of repair cost and horrible service.

We had an old FiveStar 48-inch and we were the second owner and it was on its last legs, so we decided to get a new one instead of spending a lot of money fixing it up. But of course we had a 48-inch space, so we needed a big oven to fill that space instead of redoing the counters. My wife looked at Wolf, Thermador, and the likes and they were all comparably priced. Viking was on the higher end, but one of the main things that had my wife decide was that she was able to get it in colors. Also, she had worked in the restaurant business before and had used Viking on the commercial side. So she knew that they held up and they lasted. The Viking Range works as advertised. It has a griddle and a convection feature. It also has a small oven for a casserole dish and a big one that would fit a full-size cookie sheet with room to spare. We bought it in a store and the dealer was helpful and courteous. They also answered all our questions. However, we had to wait for 12 weeks because of the color but on the day we decided to buy it, we were in and out of there in no time at all.

Luckily, my son is an engineer and he took all the shelves out and took the inside back off in order to find the poorly engineered problem and caulk it. His repair worked. Also, the clear parts of the drawers all cracked. This is obviously a quality control problem, but when I contacted them, their response was that the refrigerator was out of warranty. When the Viking refrigerator and the wine cooler were brought in by the ins
When the Viking refrigerator and the wine cooler were brought in by the installers, they damaged the handlebars and two of them had scratches. They hit the door entry area, too, so they damaged that as well and my contractor had to fix it for us. The two refrigerators were also not installed the way I wanted them to be installed and the doors were not in line with each other, so they were a bit off. Theres also a half an ounce of leak periodically occurring on the wine cooler side. The installers set the refrigerators in and put in the backing for them to be stabilized. They leveled it a bit and locked it into that 2x4 in the back. Then they left without installing the trim kit so my carpenter had to figure out how to put it in. The trim kit was for the refrigerator but we ended up installing it on the wine cooler side since that didn’t have a trim kit. Ben, from the Odmus Company, told me that I was supposed to use the trim kits for both sides, the refrigerator and the wine cooler, to make them look right and uniform. He said he would install them for me so I should get them. So I ordered another trim kit for the refrigerator but later, he said that there was supposed to be another kit for the refrigerator as well. This was never brought to my attention until months after I purchased the items, so I’m disappointed about that. I paid $1,000 for the installation and trim kits thinking that the installers would finish the job and do it correctly, but it wasn’t done so. I reported it to Viking and to the store manager, but I never received any calls from BestBuy about this issue. It’s been five months since I bought the refrigerators. BestBuy held on to them for me until I was ready for the installation, then they were installed in my house two months ago.I talked to someone from BestBuy last month and told them about my problems with the installation process. They got the original installer back to help me and they’re going to replace the handles, straighten out the doors for me and install the trim. But most of the work has been done already, so I dont see why I have to pay for the installation when the installers didn’t install anything. They just delivered the items and set them up. Other than that, I love the Viking refrigerator and the cooler, except for the leakage. They’re great refrigerators and I would recommend them to others. Since the installation process is the most difficult job, people have to make sure that Viking would do everything that they’re supposed to do and that they complete the job.

I had one gas stove and I wanted something that was a quality electric. Originally, I was gonna go with a Frigidaire and I knew they have ones that have a dual oven and maybe even a little pizza oven. But when I saw what Viking had to offer and the kind of deal I was getting, I went out of my original price range and got the quality product. I knew the quality and the reputation that they had. I also liked the features and the style. But when I looked at the unit, it didnt look like the door was squared up. So I called it in to have them come out and adjust the door. I almost hated to do that but Viking is the Mercedes of ovens. I spent that kind of money and I expected everything to fit right and be squared up. When the technician came out, he took pictures of it, documented it and figured out what the problem was. It wasnt the door. It was the bezel, which he ordered. But he had also tried to see if there were ways that he could fix it without having to do it, but he couldnt. Then he came back another time but they had sent the wrong bezel. It didn’t fit because it didn’t have the right number of holes for the knobs. So he’s gonna come back out again and it will eventually get fixed. Its taking a little while but thats okay. It took a little while to get the oven built in the first place too. I was on the waiting list with the manufacturer first and then with the company I bought it from. I also got free shipping, which meant that the range took weeks to get here but that was okay. Besides, the company is backing up their product and Ive got a lot of respect for the company so far. If they keep the guy coming out here until the unit gets fixed, there wont be any problems. So far, I am happy. The range is very impressive. The idea is that this is not gonna be a throwaway one. The other one that came with the house was 17 years old and it hit the trash can. But hopefully, this one will last for many years and it’s one that’s worth repairing if something goes wrong. I also got a backsplash and a Viking dishwasher, and a friend of mine took a picture of the setup. He got a bunch of likes on Facebook.

I bought stove of my dreams in 1997 after waiting decades to be able to afford it. It is a Viking 6 burner/with griddle (which I wish I hadnt gotten), double gas ovens. Since day one the ovens smell like gas while on. I have to run my ventilator while the oven is on to keep the odor under control. I have had several repair men, always changing the igniters. The part is $16.00 on Amazon by the way. I pay a lot more than that! Anyway it has never fixed the problem. It makes me think twice about using the oven as I have to listen to the noise of the vent for hours if I choose to bake or roast anything. I am truly disappointed with this range and after reading all of the other reviews realize that Im not alone. I would never recommend any Viking product. I wish I had never gotten with this stove. Up until it broke, I was quite happy with my Viking refrigerator. But it broke in November (the evaporator failed - still under warranty). A service company came, diagnosed the problem and ordered the part December 5. Today it is March 10. In February the appliance repair company called Viking and they were told the part would come in February 26 and that it would be sent out by overnight air when it arrived. February 26 came and went. No word.Yesterday I called Viking and spoke to a customer service rep who took my info and told me someone would call me back. No one called. Today I called and spoke to a different customer service rep and was told that there is no expected arrival time of these parts to the Viking factory. I was told some people are waiting 6 months or a year. Im sorry but I call BS on that.Heres the thing: This is a popular model of refrigerator. Clearly they must be getting these parts at the factory and installing them in new product to be sold while ignoring current customers like me. Not only is this bad business, I believe it is dishonest when they tell me that none of these parts have come in. Im kind of an in internet guy. This is the first review of this situation that I have left. There will be more. Viking is making a mistake. If they rectify it I will come back and modify this review. But dont hold your breath. There is one thing I wish they did have that is not there, and thats a filter for the water that goes to the ice. Cause typically the water connections are behind it, and since this is built-in, its not like a regular fridge where you can pull it out and then change the filter. I had to run a line from my reverse osmosis system to go to the back, even though theres a water connection with the spigot built into my house behind it. But everything else has been great. After 4 repairs on an original and 10 repairs on a complete replacement Viking double wall oven, we gave up. Viking warranty people lacked response often, and convinced me to keep trying. Also, the cook top grates have little rubber feet that kept melting and falling off. DANGEROUS! Replaced about 6 times. Ten years later, dozens of burnt or under cooked meals, cookies etc., we are finally able to and frustrated enough to get something new. The hesitation is the cabinet was cut larger to fit Viking. Ive been holding off giving this review because I was hoping our problem with Viking is going to be resolved sooner than what we are experiencing. We have now occupied our home for almost 2 years and the warranty on these appliances will soon expire. Our builder installed the 7 series built in side by side refrigerator and freezer into our newly built home. The fridge started acting up 3 months into closing. It started with it not cooling, then the water dispenser not working. The freezer also quit working. Viking kept sending their contract maintenance and he kept ordering parts and installing them with the appliances still not working. There are so many dents inside this fridge it doesnt even look brand new anymore. Its preposterous for a supposedly a high end appliance in a brand new home over $500K. Ive had better appliances supposedly from lower end brands that performed way better than these Viking freezer and fridge. Finally this month, they replaced the refrigerator after having us go through unsafe food storage because the appliances werent working properly for months. Now the replacement fridge is convoluted with the freezer. The top part of the fridge is sticking out and the lower end of the fridge is pushed further than the freezer. Both appliances arent aligned properly. Its disgusting how a home of this value would have appliances installed so poorly. The installers even admitted that Viking should have replaced both appliances because the freezer is an older model. After the installers left, the freezer quit making ice again. We called Viking and of course, they will once again send the maintenance person who had been trying to fix these issues. DO NOT get a Viking fridge and freezer! Its absolutely disgusting how the customer service dealt with this problem without resolution until now. They should have replaced these appliances right away. I could purchase a pre-owned vehicle of the same price that would run better than these appliances.

I always heard that Viking was top-of-the-line, which was what I wanted, and that made me purchase it. My range has been magnificent. I wouldnt buy no other stove but Viking. But the purchasing process was horrible. Had I known that I could have dealt with Viking myself, I would have gone straight through them. The delivery people were unprofessional. They said that they were gonna take my stove back if I didn’t pay them $300 for the hook-up service. I called my husband and he was so upset because we had already given them $6,500. They said it wasnt in what I paid. He told me I needed to pay them in cash. So, it was a gimmick. My husband said that we were not gonna do business with them and told me to go upstairs, get the money and give it to them so they could get out. And that was what I did. I called AJ Madison, the people I purchased it from, but I would never do business with them ever again. I would never recommend anybody to them. They should not even be selling Viking products. Still, when somebody from Viking came to my house because one of my eyes wasn’t lighting, he walked me through everything and told me what I needed to do. He was excellent. I loved that guy and I could have kept him.

Weve had Viking for a long time in our family and the range fits with the design of our kitchen. We got it from a local dealer and they were easy to work with. However, the quality of the range has been a little bit surprising. For the price, Im surprised that weve had issues with the burners not working compared to other ranges weve owned from other manufacturers. We had someone out to fix our Viking dishwasher which had issues, and at the same time, they addressed the burner. Although after they addressed it, it was broken again so theyve been out again. So weve had bad experience.

I love my Viking refrigerator very much. Its a side-by-side refrigerator-freezer and it has a lot of room. Its very easy to use and to put all my things in. We had a problem in the beginning when we got it delivered, spent a lot of money and then it stopped working. At first, somebody said the wires werent done correctly and that didnt fix it. So, when I called Airflow, their contractor, back and said my refrigerator needs a new motor, they came with that, put it in and the refrigerator has been absolutely perfect since then. Also, I got the gift for ordering my refrigerator. I chose Viking stainless steel cookware and its absolutely wonderful. It cleans well and cooks well. Its just lovely.

We liked the look of the Viking Ranges. We also liked the multiple burners and the size of the double oven. We knew what we wanted as we shopped, and we picked Viking out. Weve had a couple of problems, though, but it is covered by warranty because we built the house. We had to have it completely replaced once, because the main oven door wouldnt close and seal. The original dealer stopped carrying Viking, so we ended up having to get the replacement from another dealer. Because it was an all-new construction, the builder handled finding the other dealer, and he contacted them. They quoted all the same appliances and everything was smooth. The pricing wasn’t any different. It was just a matter of waiting for construction completion, and everything was here when we moved in. It didnt hold up construction. With the replacement, though, the two oven doors dont align. There’s an uneven gap, so it looks like somethings crooked. But theyre coming next week to try to get that fixed. Were hoping that its some adjustment that they can make and not another problem. Another thing is that it has all large burners. Theres nothing smaller for just a small pot to simmer something, so I’m always dealing with a larger wider diameter pot. But it’s a nice product, so far. Theyve been accommodating with the issues that weve had, so I would recommend it.

I liked the price of Viking Range for the model that we wanted. It was something that wasnt out of our price range for a high-end appliance so its affordable. Certain things certainly cook better but its performance has been good and easy to use. I really enjoy how the convection cooks. I dont really have any complaints about it. The Viking dealer team was great, helpful, and accommodating. Its been a good overall experience so far.
