I like to cook and nothing is better than a Viking range. It looks great, professional and it heats up super fast. I also love that there is no electronics on it and the convection oven is awesome. On the other hand, the delivery was a bit of a snafu. I was supposed to get set up for install and delivery. They came and they said they were only there for delivery. When I said no, the guy told me the price of the install and hauled away. I was not in town, so it didnt get installed and I had to reschedule. I also got the dishwasher with the range and the face on the top of the dishwasher got scratched. I called and called, and left a message to have the dealer fix it. The little flap where the detergent is put to soak off also needs to get fixed. Other than that, it all worked out because I got the awesome range which is quality.

Weve seen Viking Range in model kitchens and we decided to purchase from them because of the reputation of the range and its looks. We got the range, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, range hood. We ordered them online from Elite Appliance three years ago. We had them shipped to us, and then the contractor installed them. The range and the hood are great. Thats what theyre known for. Its sturdy, cooks really well and really fast. Also, the microwave has been fine, but the hinges on the inner compartments of the fridge broke, but it was just okay and Im still happy with it. However, the dishwasher is probably the only thing that I wouldnt buy again. It had a hose issue, so we had it looked at once. Other than that, we really love the range. It has been awesome and I would definitely buy one of those again.

I own a 6 year old Viking Double Oven. It’s bad enough Viking wouldnt stand behind a heating unit but worse, we missed the complete Christmas season (our oven died Dec 17) using the oven because Viking didnt have parts in stock to repair the element in the oven. I will miss this Easter as well since the parts wont be in by then. As a cook this is unacceptable to me and Viking’s potential customers should be aware of this. It will have been 4 months for me to receive a new ribbon element with glass part # 013930-000 IF I get it by April. I think Viking potential customers should be aware of the lack of customer service in parts with Viking. Also Viking customer service didnt seem to care about my issue and basically had the too bad for you attitude. We have a 6 burner Viking range top and a Viking double oven in a top end house. If this is Vikings idea of customer service for premium clients I will take my purchases elsewhere in the future. Buyers beware.

Oct 1, 20 -- The dishwasher stopped working and requested repair through customer service center. Oct 23, 20 - The repairman visited and he failed repairing machine and ordered major parts. Nov 20, 20 -- The major parts arrived and the repairman changed almost every parts and the machine failed to work and he said the whole machine should be replaced. Nov 23, 20 -- I called Viking customer service center and they gave me a new reference number. As of today (12/08/20) -- Any information received from Viking and still waiting their response. Nobody care of customer who needs their concern & action. Do not buy Viking dishwasher if possible.

The knobs on my Viking range that turn on the burners scrape pretty badly.
The knobs on my Viking range that turn on the burners scrape pretty badly. You hear them and feel them scraping as you turn them. They don’t turn easily. There are eight of them and a couple of them do. The range was installed by the builder of our home. It’s a brand-new home, so we didnt get to pick out the stove. I like that it’s nice-looking and it’s big. But I’m used to having a clock and a timer and a cook time on and cook time off, and underneath, to store stuff or have a warming drawer. It doesn’t have any of that stuff. It’s just a stove with burners and it’s a commercial grade.

We purchase all Viking kitchen appliances. Every item ref, range, dishwasher and latest microwave had immediate service issues. We have still to get a working microwave now - seven months and still waiting. Do not consider Viking in your remodeling. The appliance only look good... absolute junk with a service department ready to say nothing and do nothing. Save yourselves the nightmare, buy anything else.

My Viking range is the second one Ive had and I really like it. It holds temperature well. Its a beautiful piece of equipment. Its the best center point of my kitchen. The one thing I dont like is that if any sort of dirt or debris gets on the pilot or the starter, it can be a bit finicky. Otherwise, I love it. Somebody came to look at that pilot because I thought it might have been broken. The technician came and it needed to be cleaned. That was a good positive experience. I had to talk back and forth with a customer service person regarding the warranty because I didnt have a receipt. I just had the serial numbers. But they’ve sorted it out. It was easy.

Fridge is leaking water on to the floor after 4 years. Authorized service tech didnt find anything wrong but changed thermostat just in case was the problem. Fridge still leaks. YouTube videos show it is likely a clogged drain line. After taking apart fridge we can see the evaporation tray is completely dry, yet water is leaking on floor. Why didnt tech even check this??? Seems pointless to call tech back since he was so clueless but we dont know how to fix it. Also the shelves broke too easily.

We got a Viking Range and one of the burners is not working. The place where I purchased it, Ferguson in Pasadena, sent a repairperson to come and it turned out one of the modules was not working. They were surprised that the module wasnt tested before it left the factory. We ordered a module and they are scheduled to come out and replace that. Also, some of the knobs with which I turn the range are starting to become really sticky and its taking a bit of force to turn them. Usually, when I turn the range on, I push it in, turn and then Ill hear the clicker start and the burner will come on. Now, I cant feel whether Im pushing it in or not and the turning isnt as smooth. Otherwise, the burning is fine. Ferguson was very helpful in getting the repairperson and with scheduling. If something like this occurred after maybe a year or two of use then I would say Well, maybe the product was kind of defective and using it made it fail. But this is right out of the gate, less than 30 days. Im having to deal with these two situations in a premium range. I have the Viking hood and microwave oven. Theyre all working fine except for this range which is not living up to the Viking reputation.

Were from Mississippi, and supporting a local company seems like a good thing to do. We bought our Viking range from Southern Pipe and the sales team seemed to really know their stuff. My wife had a ton of questions for them and weve had good answers. They seemed to have dealt with those questions before or the saleslady might even own one, so she was able to speak about personal experiences too. We like all the features that came with the range and it has been really good. We havent had a gas stove before, so the fact that everything heats up really quickly is awesome to us. Plus it looks really good in our kitchen. We bought it back in the fall, but only got it installed in February, so were still sort of in a trial period of using it. It still feels pretty new, but everything weve thrown at it so far, its done exceptionally. Its the best stove Ive ever owned.

I walked into the store looking for a Sunshine or Vikings traditional gas range. Ive heard of Viking but I didnt know about their products. Their sales reps were not really educated. They showed me the Viking range and were not too technical about it. But when I saw the Viking, I said Wow. Its like a restaurant style range and I loved the way it looked as well as the capacity inside. So, I got it. Its also marked up at a reasonable price and so far, I had a good experience using it at home. I love how it heats up everything so fast and the knobs are good to work with. But I get confused once I use the conventional or the bake. I dont know what the difference is or how it works. Im not chef type person and Ive been Googling that to try to figure out whats the difference between that and the regular bake. The grills are heavy duty, too, which is good. We got to be careful when we take them off and clean them so we dont hit the actual stove with them. My wife cleans them daily and she scratched the front on top of it on the shiny part. It was stainless steel and she said it was heavy so she dropped it.

We bought the Viking Series 7 48” Dual fuel range with the ViChrome gridd
We bought the Viking Series 7 48” Dual fuel range with the ViChrome griddle for our remodel. The range looks really good, unfortunately we need one that works as well. Let me start with what works well. The burners are very nice, delivering consistent heat. The stove top is easy to clean with few nooks and crannies. Now for the things that don’t work well. The ViChrome griddle looks good but a horrible surface to cook on. The only thing that doesn’t stick like superglue to the surface is pancakes, as long as we use ghee. Any other fat or oil does not work at all. The surface is very difficult to clean. The griddle itself has a problem that there is a high temperature difference between front and back. The back will burn things while the front will undercook. Only about a 6” piece of the griddle cooks at the set temp. I had the workings of the griddle changed out by Viking service but it did not change a thing. We gave up using it as it’s not worth the trouble.By far the biggest disappointments are the two electric ovens. There is also a large temp difference between front and back of the ovens, upwards of 10 degrees. This too was addressed by Viking service but no change. The only way to get even cooking is to manually rotate the dish. The convection fan sounds like a jet engine and makes this very large range shake. Viking service replaced the fan in the larger oven but it shakes now more than ever. We gave up using the convection ovens as the noise and shaking are just too much to stomach particularly given the $15,000 price tag. Finally, each oven has a heating element at the top which shuts off when oven reaches temperature, unfortunately it will kick on during cooking when oven is at temp and proceed to burn whatever it is we are cooking. I lost count of how many dishes have been ruined by this. We have to watch the heating element constantly to insure the dishes don’t burn. The range looks great, but what a huge disappointment. I am a second generation Viking customer, growing up with the older models that built the great Viking name. There will not be a third generation Viking customer in my family. There are better products out there a 1/4th the price.

My stove had a manufacturing defect and failed to work properly from the outset. The oven would not hold a temperature and could not be calibrated. It took weeks and many, many phone calls and threats to get it repaired. After many requests and escalation to Viking customer relations, Viking finally agreed to send the necessary part by overnight mail. However, they did not make good on this promise. The part did not arrive for another week. We were exceedingly unhappy with the initial defect and with the very poor customer service. We are long-time Viking customers and would think hard before buying another Viking stove.

We were doing a high-end kitchen renovation and there were only a few brands that were built in and have the look and were a 30-inch refrigerator column. We’ve dealt with a small appliance shop in the past that our contractor recommended. Its a family-owned business so we were quite comfortable there and got great information. They treated us well at that store and we had experience with them previously on another renovation. I wanted to buy the Viking refrigerator because it has the technology to help remove odors where the Thermador we were looking at did not. And it holds everything I needed to hold. But we’ve had a second service call for the refrigerator, so were a little uneasy right now.Theres been water leaking into the bottom of the refrigerator, so the tech came out about a month or two ago, and he found something that was wrong and fixed it. And then, they were out again today because it didnt stop leaking water. It was coming in from a different place now, so were waiting on Viking technical services to respond back to us and the appliance repair guys.Getting service is easy. We havent had to wait very long to get appointments when we’ve called. We had vacation in the middle, so we had to wait a little to get the second call put in. But theyve been good on customer service. When I called Viking customer service, it was really good. I emailed them because I was too busy to call and it took several days for them to get back. But then, they dispatched the repair people pretty quickly. The local repair service that is authorized is good so far. They even came into the newly renovated kitchen and looked around at all of the appliances and told us they could work on all of it. Theyve been pleasant and quick to show up, and easy to schedule.

The Viking range was so pretty. I got one thats jet black with rose gold accent. Its one of my fancy splurges for the kitchen. My house was being renovated and the designer did all of the ordering. The installation of the range was easy. They had a nice team come in and set everything up and level it. The range works really well. I like the fact that youre not actually sitting the pot on the burner. Youre sitting it on the little metal thing above the burner. Its set up pretty high from the burner. Theres an indentation in the burner so the flame is set down in the indentation, which means that it keeps you further away from the flame. You have to work very hard to burn yourself. Thats a really nice safety feature. The range also works quickly. There are lots of options on how to set the temperature. I like the fact that the knobs light up when a particular burner is being used because its also easy to know if a burner is on. If the pilot light didnt light, you dont have to worry about gas flowing because the light is on will tell you which burner is active.

I bought the refrigerator through the Pacific Sales inside the Best Buy, but the delivery part of it was terrible. The people that were supposed to do the delivery and the installation screwed up twice. It was a 48-inch refrigerator, so its pretty heavy and large. The sales rep has specifically put in the requirement multiple men team to come for the installation, but twice they came out with only two guys and they weren’t able to do the installation. Other than that, the refrigerator has a nice design and has a quality feel to it. But I didn’t expect it to breakdown so early. The icemaker went out only less than a year that it was purchased. So I had to have it serviced.

I was online looking for a dual-range stove, dual-fuel, and I came across Viking. I know people have them and are very happy with them so I went with them too. The quality was great and I love it. The biggest thing that sold me on the Viking was the burners, just being able to turn them on without having to program anything. That was one of the big features. And I have cats, so they walk on top of the stove. Most stove controls are on top but the quality of the Viking, the BTUs, the way it cooks and everything, it’s great and I really enjoy it. It has been a great experience.

I like the quality and the fact that Viking refrigerators are made in the US. We got one delivered in June and it was a $3,500 fridge, but there were many issues with it. The doors could not be adjusted and the panel on the bottom didnt lay flush. On the second day we had it, it went up to 80 degrees inside. It started heating up at about noon and then by that evening, it was around 84 degrees. My husband reset the fuse box the next morning at 6:00 AM. It must have rebooted it so it started working again. When I spoke with the customer service representative, she told me they were not going to send somebody to look at it because it was working. I found that unacceptable because there was something wrong with it. There was moisture in the seal between the refrigerator itself and the freezer. I could see where the freezer had somewhat warmed up because there was icy buildup on the shelves. Initially, I wasn’t that satisfied with the customer service with Viking. The freezer was lukewarm so we had the approved rep here in Hawaii come and look at it. He couldnt figure it out so we ended up ordering a replacement for it. The new one was delivered two days ago and I like the double door opening. Right now, though, I feel that I am satisfied but I hope something doesn’t go wrong because of the issues Ive had.

Viking is reasonably priced and is a decent-looking commercial brand. I like my refrigerator. The quality is fantastic. I like the size of it. It’s big and bulky, and probably a waste of time and money but I like it. I also got a stove, a little 30- or 36-inch, the hood, the microwave, the dishwasher and then I have a wine cooler. But I wasn’t that happy with the people. They didnt take me seriously, first of all. I went and spent like $20,000 or so and then I spent more, and they were acting like idiots. They didnt know half of what was going on with what they were selling. They didnt sell anything, actually. If I hadnt known what I was gonna get, I wouldn’t have a clue. But I had done all my investigating ahead of time. I’m a contractor too so I’ve seen stuff. The delivery service was terrible as well. They dropped my fridge when they delivered it and if I hadnt been there that day, it wouldve rolled over. I thought people who would sell this material would be told they better put their heart into it and act like they know what theyre doing. But they didnt actually have that. So Viking is not being represented so well where I bought it from. That was not a Viking dealer that I went through though. It was just a store that sold their products. It wasn’t actually Pacific Sales or Snyder Diamond. The Pacific Sales store over in Burbank is very attentive. I just don’t like going so far but when I do go, theyre all over you.

I liked the product of Viking Refrigerators and some of the features that it had on it. So, I got a Viking refrigerator and I like the space. But the ice maker didn’t work and it didnt make ice at all from the get-go with the first fridge that I got, so they replaced the fridge. But now Im having issues too with the ice maker on the second fridge. Ive had this fridge for a month before it started knocking. When I dealt with the representatives to try to get the ice maker issue resolved with both fridges, they were great and they’ve been on top of the issue. The technicians showed up and replaced the ice maker five times on the first fridge, before they replaced the fridge. Theyre now in the process of fixing the the second fridge and theyre gonna come out on Friday and replace the ice maker. In the kitchen, we have very high-end fixtures so we wanted something that was comparable to the other pieces that we had chosen. Viking has a really good reputation for being high quality and the pieces are pleasing to look at. Weve been using it for a month and everything has been great. The stove works well. The only issue that we had that was disappointing was that the color is different because the dishwasher and the range are placed next to each other. Its very drastic, the difference in color. When I called to let them know about the color difference, the people that I spoke to were very kind. They sent someone out and that rep was very nice. He took pictures. It was a really nice experience. We, very quickly, got a phone call saying they were going to change it, which was a relief. I was worried that they were not going to exchange it and we were gonna be stuck with that drastic color difference. So, I was very happy that they decided to change.

I read the review from C of Cleveland, OH Nov. 21, 2019 and decided to provide my own feedback. We installed a Viking Double Oven over 10 years ago and it stopped working correctly after 3 or 4 years. We havent been able to use the lower oven for over 3 or 4 years. It keeps giving a cooling error, then stops working. The Birmingham Viking certified service people have replaced several parts including the control panel. Now Viking is trying to say that it was installed incorrectly which is total baloney! Just an excuse from Viking to get rid of us. We made SURE the contractor and cabinet builder followed the specs when it was installed and the installation was approved by the Viking Dealer. So this $6,500 unit can’t be repaired? Spend a third of the price and get the same quality with another cheaper brand!

The house that I bought had the Viking range in it. Im really happy with my experience with it. I love the center stove. Its huge and it helps me put my plate in there and then make pancakes for the whole house which is very convenient. However, in terms of difficulty, its just very hard to know what temperature the oven reached and how long that would take. Because it doesnt have the setting to say, Okay, pre-heat it. I have to go at least 400 degrees Fahrenheit. And theres no way that tells me that its ready at 400. One time I had one knob that my son broke so I had to call them. But it was out of warranty, so they just said it was out of warranty. I said, Okay, no problem. But they provided me information in terms of who can help me fix it. So I just called an external agency and then set it up with them. Id definitely recommend Viking to a friend.

Initially, we had a difficulty with baking, and then the temperature just cut off. It ended up taking an hour and a half to bake one sheet of cookies after it had warmed up for a good 20 and then 40 minutes. It took a long time. Someone came out, and he said nothing was wrong with and it hasnt done it since. But so far, so good.I live in an area that is lower population. We dont have as many service people to service. Initially, I was told I would have to wait a month to a month and a half for someone to come out and look at it. I pleaded with the gal on the phone. “Well, it’s just before Christmas, and I have a four-year old. And were looking forward to baking.” Lo and behold, someone had availability in their schedule. She called me right away and said, “I can get you in right away. Are you available?” I said, “Of course, I am.” I was disappointed in that. I said, “Gosh, if I had any future issues, it would be a bummer to have to wait that long for service.”In addition, I can’t get a pizza pan to go all the way in. Its not the depth of the oven. It just needs to be an inch and a half further in depth, and then a regular pizza pan could fit in. That was shocking to me. We ran into it on the first day of our move. We had the movers here and I thought, “Oh, Ill just pick up pizzas and cook them in the oven.” Because we live a ways out from any pizza place. I had to cut all the pizzas in order for them to fit into the oven, which is a pain in the neck. And then anytime I go to fix a pizza, I cant use the basic pizza pan, which is a bummer. Other than that, Ive enjoyed using the stove top, and the oven has been great since. Ive been happy.

We purchased a house that had Viking appliances in it and our range had a little saga. We were happy with the original range until it had its issue with the handle. The front door with the handle and glass separated from the heavier thermal part of the door. It was under warranty but they couldnt supply a replacement part. We purchased a newly built home and had all Viking appliances installed. The range puts out good heat but the oven is definitely malfunctioning. It cycles every minute no matter what temperature you set it to so if I am baking something that takes 2 hours, Ill hear the igniter click and the flame come on over 100 times. I dont know if its because the flame is reigniting so often but the smell of gas is so strong. Also, the door gets so hot you cant even touch it without wearing an oven mitt. All of these make me afraid to use the oven. I called Viking and theyve sent out the same repair person twice who told me that the cycling every minute is normal and the door is supposed to get hot because heat radiates. I understand heat radiates but it shouldnt get so hot you can burn yourself. What happens if children accidentally get close to the oven? I also dont understand why for a supposed high end oven, the temperature cant be maintained for more than a minute when the flame goes out before it reignites again. And since its cycling every minute no matter what temp you set it to and regardless if you leave the oven door closed for 2 hours (yes, we tested it with the door closed for 2 hours to make sure we werent losing heat from opening the door), it doesnt seem like the cycling is temperature related at all. When I call Viking, they tell me this is NOT normal and a repair person needs to come out to make adjustments. Theyve sent the same repair person twice who insists this is normal. I called again today and asked for a different company. The same person has been scheduled to come out tomorrow, wholl likely tell me again that this is what I have to get use to with this oven. This oven is a hazard. Youll either be afraid to use it or youll end up burning yourself or inhaling carbon monoxide fumes. I had to turn the oven off yesterday because I got a terrible headache from the fumes. I am writing this to advise everyone to not buy a Viking. Also, now it is documented that these issues existed in the event something bad happens.

Its unbelievable to me that a brand that cultivates a premium quality image, and commands (demands?) top prices from consumers, designs and builds such a shabby product. FIRST ISSUE: over the past couple of years, two plastic refrigerator door shelves developed cracks, and shattered like glass without warning, dropping the shelf contents all over my floor. These were not overloaded shelves. THIS IS AN ENGINEERING ISSUE: CHOOSE A PLASTIC THAT DOES NOT GET BRITTLE IN COLD TEMPERATURES.Incredibly, each time this has happened, Viking Parts Department charged me nearly $200 per replacement shelf (Really? For the price of this refrigerator you wont replace a defective part as a courtesy?); so far Ive spent $400 on replacement shelves and I have another shelf that now is developing new cracks so I guess Ill be paying another $200 for that replacement shelf soon. Or maybe I should just not use door shelves?? SECOND ISSUE: no matter how I set the refrigerator thermostat, the vent located above the top refrigerator shelf outputs freezing temperatures. So while my refrigerator thermostat is set currently to 43 degrees, anything located on the upper left refrigerator shelf (water pitcher, juice, milk, etc.) freezes solid. THIS IS AN ENGINEERING ISSUE.Ive experienced a lifetime of different refrigerator brands, from basic Frigidaire, GE to Subzero, all have worked as intended. Certainly never had to replace plastic shelves for my cheapo Frigidaire, and nothing freezes on the top shelf of that refrigerator. So I guess you got an additional $400 from me in replacement parts (soon to be another $200), but Ill never buy a Viking-branded appliance again (dont get me started on the Viking range issues Ive experienced).

So, new refrigerator and freezer to replace a defective Viking product previously installed. The installers were amateurs. They came by to survey the house to make certain they could get the equipment in, but still brought the wrong equipment to get the units in the house. They also did not bring the correct tools to complete the installation. They had to borrow from another contractor that I had working at the house and from me to get the units installed. Totally unacceptable. Finally installed, and the freezer doesnt make ice, really???After two additional trips, someone determines that the wrong switch was installed on the freezer by the factory. It took over 5 WEEKS to get this resolved, TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I tried to buy American and local, I live in Mississippi, but I get torpedoed by Vikings total ineptitude at building products and by Vikings installation agents complete incompetence. I will NEVER recommend Viking for ANYTHING. Your products are totally inferior and installation is an abomination.

My experience with Viking has always been good. When I rebuilt a house ten years ago, I filled it with Viking stuff. My kitchen was 40 feet long, so it was cramped full of everything Viking made. And then I built another house down here in Palm Springs and filled it with Viking stuff too. The representatives at the Viking dealer were the best. Ive never seen any appliance company operate like they do. My Viking ranges quality is top notch. I like the different things I can do with it - bake, bake convection, convection. I also like the ease where I can control the flames on the stove top. Its a new generation and the flame goes way down now. In the past, it wasnt as adjustable but its really good now.

We have a Viking refrigerator that is 7 years old. It needs a repair in the water filter. First, it was hard to find someone who would repair it. The servicemen I called would not touch it, due to Viking not sending parts in a timely manner or not having parts. Thank goodness the retailer who sold our kitchen appliances to us will stand by their service!! They are going to try to repair our refrigerator without the part. Viking DISCONTINUED the part for a 7 year old refrigerator!!! We found this out after waiting one MONTH for Viking to let the retailer know. I have an entire kitchen of Viking appliances... I am so bummed. These appliances were supposed to be top end. Buyer BEWARE. Our local retailer no longer carries Viking due to these problems.

The Viking Refrigerator that I got is great. Its everything I thought it would be. I like the bright lights, being able to change the configuration that it has. I like the more solid material. There is one thing I wish they did have that is not there, and thats a filter for the water that goes to the ice. Cause typically the water connections are behind it, and since this is built-in, its not like a regular fridge where you can pull it out and then change the filter. I had to run a line from my reverse osmosis system to go to the back, even though theres a water connection with the spigot built into my house behind it. But everything else has been great. Were pretty happy with it. It looks great and performs really well.

About 6 years ago, we completely remodeled our mix and match kitchen to all Viking products. We had a range (6 burners), hood, dishwasher, built-in fridge, microwave and warming drawer. We have recently moved and want to update our new kitchen with Viking as well. Im researching product to see the reviews on their newer models. I really am shocked at all the negative comments. I just thought with all the negativity out there, I would jump in to say I have really enjoyed my beautiful kitchen for 6 years. I am very anxious to outfit my new home with Viking! Our family and friends spend a lot of time in the kitchen and it has yet to let me down.

I purchased a 48-inch built-in Viking refrigerator and I thought it was going to be nice to match the manufacturer of the refrigerator, range, and dishwasher. But ever since the Best Buy people brought the appliances, I’ve been having issues with them. Their delivery, installation, and the product itself. I don’t think that whoever delivered these products were qualified to do this job. Nothing was level and regardless if the unit itself is broken or not, they should at least try to level it. And the range was the floor model and the door was not rocking. So, the installer was telling us that it was broken. The door itself tends to get rust so I should’ve never bought the floor model. With the refrigerator, the first delivery people and the installer took about four hours to fit the door together to close it right. Two days after they left, the door was not closing. And when you open the door all the way, it made a loud metal hitting noise. I’m very dissatisfied. I went to Best Buy and they have decided to replace the refrigerator with a brand-new one and I made a return on the Viking Range floor model. I purchased the brand-new one by paying the differences and hopefully, with this replacement I don’t get any problem.

After I bought Viking appliances, Ive been having problems, and the products are less than two years old. In the first year, we had a problem with the dishwasher. Something went wrong. But they came out and fixed it. Then we had a problem with the refrigerator. The heater for the ice maker didnt work, so there was water pooling at the bottom and then flat out. They came and they changed the heater one time. Then a week later, the same thing, water was coming out again. They said there was some piece over there that was missing. I was disappointed. A $10,000 refrigerator, and within two years, we have problems. For products like these, it should have a longer warranty than one year. But I like it. It has all the features that I need. Its a stainless steel finish but it has a scratch. Theres a stainless steel repair kit that I have to get to polish it back to before.

Since I have a Viking stove, I got the refrigerator as well. However, Im very disappointed with the refrigerator because it was only three months old and one of the blades of one of the fans inside was already broken and another fan wasnt hooked up in the bottom. I had water dripping from the door on my fourth floor. For a brand new refrigerator and for what we paid for, that was not acceptable. I remodeled my house in 2009 and changed all my appliances to Viking Professional appliances. I was under the assumption that this is the best product available and moreover it is made in USA!!!! I came to find out this is the biggest and worst scam to rub people of their money with nothing but a heavy chunks of metal. I have had problem with my gas cook-top where I had it repaired 4 times. It kept clicking and the technician said the board was bad. Changing the board resolved it for a day and then he said the ignition parts are bad so he changed them. This started again so another company came and fixed it somehow and said the wiring was bad. After all this the cups around the burners changed color. Refrigerator does not dispense water and leaks in freezer and freezes all the time making it impossible to dispense ice and only way to get ice is to carve it because it is clumped together. Microwave oven does not heat as much as $150 microwave and has been corroding inside. Oven stopped working during Christmas time and took 6 months for them to figure out what was wrong with me being on the phone for hours with Viking executive offices. Vent unit has four settings which one has never worked. Viking does not take any responsibility for any of the problems you get. Standing behind their products is a news to them. I think their policy is sell, run and hide. I do have a Whirlpool Refrigerator that has spend most its life of 21 years in the garage with harsh temperatures but is still running like the first day. I would not buy and would discourage anyone that I care about to stay away from these products. I bought these items from Number 1 Appliance and they said these come with 10 years of warranty but each time I called the warranty company they told me that problem is not covered. I think they just warrant the heaviness of the product not its functionality.

We had to replace our former slide-in in a rush because we were expecting holiday cooking soon. We purchased a Viking D3 after glowing reviews by our saleswoman. But the D3 has never worked right including a month after we purchased it. We had to cook the holiday turkey in the microwave, one part of the bird at a time. After contacting Viking, they sent out a certified repairman who had to order a part from Viking to make the oven usable. That took two weeks. From then on, the temps seemed to be accurate (we had to buy a hanging oven thermometer to tell), but the oven took forever to heat up. Even then, we couldnt cook anything then or now other than one item at a time and have it cook in the desired time. There are three racks in the oven... the instructions even show and explain how to cook using the three racks at once. However, the oven temps will not support using all three racks. We are also dissatisfied with the five upper burners. The center burner can only be used if the cooking pot/skillet is smaller than the large burner size indicates IF you are trying to use the other four surrounding burners simultaneously. You either use the four outside burners OR you use the large center one, but not all five at once due to size of the cooking containers. I am so disappointed. I bought a fridge and dishwasher back in 2011. The fridge was fine, however, the dishwasher was just dreadful. After going through several channels, a Viking rep told me to pull it out and sell it. Eventually, the store where I bought it ended up replacing it. I then opted for a Miele dishwasher. In June 2013, I decided to try again with Viking. I ordered a range top, range hood with fan, and warming drawer. The range top had to be replaced as it arrived very badly scratched and dented. It was yet another ordeal to get it replaced. The warming drawer is sitting all apart on my living room floor. Ive never had the chance to use it because the cabinet rubs against the drawer and screeches metal to metal when trying to use it.The Viking rep sent out a panel to be screwed into the base of the drawer to keep it flat but that did not work. Now we have another part ordered but Viking has the flippant attitude of telling us they have no idea when the part will arrive. In order to complete the remodel of my kitchen I needed double ovens and a microwave. I chose Jenn Air, and could not be happier with their products. Also, their customer service is outstanding. Viking is definitely the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is just horrendous.

Viking Ranges is a name that speaks for itself. Everything I’ve ever heard has always been good. We went with them because of the reputation and we were dealing with the warehouse that had one Viking stove that was the right size and had the right looks of it. However, there were a lot of issues. One of the burners didn’t work and the oven would turn itself off after I turned it on. It also wouldn’t maintain the heat. It would be cold in the front and hot in the back. We had a company come in at first, but they kinda oversold themselves and they didn’t know what to do. They put it back together and said they couldn’t fix it. Another fellow from a different company came and we were super pleased with him. He was very professional and he knew his stuff. He seized up what was wrong. Our dilemma was we don’t have a gas line, so we had to go with propane and we bought a stove that was not propane. They had to alter it. The first company thought it was just a simple fix, but it wasn’t. They had to adjust all the frames. The second guy fixed it and ordered the parts, although it took forever to get the parts. But he consistently called us and said he was working on it. They were supposed to be coming and it did. He called, came, and fixed it. However, it was a new stove, so I don’t understand why it has so many things wrong with it. Everything’s working fine and it’s good now. It maintains temperature. I made some chocolate cookie chips and they came out great. On the bottom or on the top, they were perfect. It’s a wonderful stove, but I’m a little apprehensive to recommend it because of the start-up problems we had. It definitely was a problem when we got it and it was not lightweight. You don’t wanna be taking things in and out because it is a big stove, it is a double oven.

I wanted the French doors on top and the drawer at the bottom. That month, Viking came out with a new model but it did not have the water dispenser either inside or on the door and that was something I was looking for because everywhere that I did research on, the word was that there was a glitch with every refrigerator that has either a water dispenser inside or outside and you always have to buy the filter. I thought that was a hassle so I was pleased that Viking came out with a model that didnt have that. It was also a good made on their part because the one they had before the new model had an internal water dispenser and I dont drink cold water. I like either tepid or hot water so this refrigerator was made for my needs. It was perfect. But the crisper drawers would ice up and there would be big chunks of ice there. They wouldnt thaw out so I would have to go at it with an ice pick. Viking brought a technician over to try and fix it but he said he couldnt do a fix. He said the refrigerator was a lemon. He worked on other refrigerators of Viking and they were fine. Mine was the only model where the defrost wasnt working. But they couldnt repair it so they swapped it out with a new refrigerator. And I love the meat drawer of the new refrigerator. It keeps the meats colder so that it lasts a little longer. If I dont use the meat thats in there for three days, it would still be okay. I also like the freezer drawer. The fridge I had before I remodeled my kitchen was a side by side door. By then side by side refrigerators were not that well made because all the refrigerator manufacturers were moving toward the French doors with the drawer freezer. Some people say that one of the problems is when you have the drawer that pulls out, youre always fishing for space. But I find that I didnt have to do that because within the freezer, theres two pull out and one at the bottom. I can always see whats there which is nice. And then all of the freezer baskets that pull out, theyre all wire baskets and not solid panels so the frozen food gets frozen hard.I also like the fact that the lighting is in the front. In the Hotpoint refrigerator we had before we remodeled, the light is in the back of the refrigerator. So if I have any item thats tall enough, itll block the lights and I dont get the light in the front. But with Viking, they put the light in the front and the lighting is good. I can see everything so Im impressed with that, too. So overall, I like the layout and the one that I bought was counter depth which is nice too. The Hotpoint refrigerator that we had stuck way out in front of the cabinet so everyone is always bumping into it. So now being counter depth, theres enough room in the inside, too. Its a little bigger than my Hotpoint but efficiency-wise, its all around so much better. The delivery person had to deliver and install it and he was very conscientious about not marring the parquet hardwood floors and all of the other stuff. They made sure before he left that everything was up and running very well. I was impressed with the installer they hired as well. They didnt cut corner on service and didnt corner on the refrigerator which is nice. But Im most impressed with the Viking service. Usually, companies dont replace defective products. They keep sending a technician once a month to try to mess with it. Viking couldnt repair the fridge so they swapped it out with a new refrigerator and Im pleased with the decision. I never had that before so that was quite a statement as to how well Viking stand behind their product.

Viking is the better brand and I give it a high rating. I like everything about my stove and it is very nice -- premium stoves do not have a lot of push button screen on them as those are problems and they are not made for heat. I had a premium brand once and I threw it out as I did not want to fix it again. So I bought a Viking. Visually, it is nice, including its knobs and color. Initially, when I did my research, I did not even know where they are from as I thought they were manufactured overseas. But when I went to purchase it and I started doing more research, I found out that they are all over New York. Anytime I go to a restaurant, they have Viking stoves, and those stoves are here forever! It will be the last stove you ever own.

Viking 6-burner Gas Range - Viking authorized repairman has been out twice
Viking 6-burner Gas Range - Viking authorized repairman has been out twice for my 6-year-old Viking, each time to replace all ignitors and the seal around the door glass. This is extremely expensive and unbelievable that a commercial range cannot take a daily 20-minute usage of the broiler without wearing out in 3 years time. The excuse I was given was that most people dont broil and their stoves last much longer; and that they mostly go out to dinner. What kind of bologna is this? I wouldnt mind repairing it every 3 years because it really does cook food very well when it is working, but the last time I had it repaired, which was a week ago, it cost me about $800 and I expect it will be even higher in the next 3 years! Isnt there a way for all of us to do a class action lawsuit against Viking? Please let me know if this is in the works because there are so many of us with the same story.

I had a KitchenAid that was four years old prior to having my first Viking Refrigerator, and I had nothing but problems with their refrigerators. The Viking Refrigerator is beautiful. It was the only one that looked built-in and looked really like a professional grade refrigerator with the handles. It looks good in my kitchen and it cools the food. That’s top-of-the-line so I was expecting it to be quiet but that’s not the case. The actual noise that comes out of that refrigerator is absolutely unacceptable and terrible. Its super high pitched, like a whistling sound. Its the loudest refrigerator Ive ever had. Ive had two people come out and look at it and they weren’t very helpful. One was here for five minutes and said, “No, that’s just the compressor. No, its a little bit louder than most but that’s just normal.” That was it and then he left. I had three homes and several different refrigerators and for them to act like it was normal but mine was a little bit louder than the rest made me wonder if there was really something wrong with it. Even my husband said that weve spent almost $4,000 on this fridge and its super loud. Im just going to have to live with it and maybe down the line, if it doesn’t break in, then Im going to have them come back out. And Id tell others not to buy one because they might get a loud one like mine.

We still have the Viking range in our house in California. We really like it so we ended up buying Viking for all of our appliances. We have the oven, the fridge, the dishwasher and the microwave. My father and mother bought the range and they came back happy besides spending almost $20,000 on the appliances. The range was bought a couple of months ago and then we set it up two weeks ago and just tested it. I love the overall quality of the range. It is very good and I feel like it is more commercial than household because everything is so big though not as big in the inside. But other than that, it is perfect and it cooks everything faster. I would recommend it.

Weve had our Viking Range for a few months now and its been awesome. Both ovens work amazing. The griddle is good, its just that its a little difficult to clean at times. But then I can get everything I want out of a 48-inch range and its right in line with other pieces of equipment that are at the same cost.

I had to cycle through four Thermador ranges in a year and I decided to switch to Viking because I knew it would be more reliable even though it didn’t have all the features that I wanted. Bill Smith Appliances was awesome and the delivery guys were great as well as the quality of my Viking refrigerator. It is wonderful and I am very pleased with it. I like all the shelves and how adjustable they are. I can also adjust the little cold zone drawer in the bottom and the temperature specifically there. I love the Viking fridge and I would definitely buy another. I like the looks of it. It goes great in my kitchen and it is beautiful but I just hope it lasts more than two years.

How can it be? We thought made in America, we would get great quality. What a disappointment. The kitchen was remodeled 5 years ago. This past month, we had problems with both Viking products, the Viking range VGIC3676BS and the refrigerator. We are now out of Viking warranty. The NSI insurance for these products is a nightmare to deal with - a waste of money. They give you the runaround. The Viking range oven just stopped working, we think it is the igniter. It does not matter that when you call Mississippi, they speak to you with their Southern charm, you still have an expensive appliance that simply does not work! No one cares, not at all, because it is not happening to them! The fact that we bought expensive products does not matter in todays world. Anyone recalls the days when we had an oven that lasted 30 years? We are so disgusted with Viking. We regret spending the money for something that obviously was made with planned obsolescence in mind. Wish there was a way we could warn people about this company. I would like to put signs on retailer stores, buyer beware.

I love the range. I also love everything about the refrigerator except the fact that it doesnt dispense water. The appliance company did the installation has been great with us. Weve just had a couple of minor issues with stuff that there was some damage done on a couple of items during the installation and it had nothing to do with the quality products that were provided.

Purchased this stove (VESC Professional 30 Freestanding) in April 2012 because we wanted a Viking Kitchen. Big mistake. Here are the comments I sent to the chairman and CEO of the company after using the stove for two months: At the front of the cooktop there is a small gap/crack between the cooktops metal frame and the main body of the stove. Crumbs and other waste accumulate in this space, which is very difficult to clean. The GE range and many others have a completely smooth top, with no gaps around the cooktop, making them much easier to clean. We ordered the optional backsplash, not realizing that it completely replaces the original vent grill which has become surplus. Rather than forcing customers to order both, it would be much more reasonable, and less wasteful, to substitute the optional backsplash at the factory and not send the vent grill, offering an corresponding price adjustment. Ranges costing much less have more features and are better designed. I cannot recommend paying Vikings very high prices (the stove cost over $5000) for a poorly designed product and this will be my last purchase of a Viking product.

We purchased a Viking range in 1996 for $4,000. We began having problems with the oven igniters not working, therefore could not use the oven. We had them replaced the first time, at the cost of $217.89 on 12-23-98. This problem has recurred on a regular basis. We have replaced the igniters repeatedly on: 8-12-02 for $271.25, 7-13-06 for $310.00, 2-17-10 for $245.05, 1-21-10 for $265.26, and 8-09-11 that cost $402.95. Two days after the last repair, on 8-11-11, the igniters again would not work.As I write this today, I am without the use of my range again and find myself waiting for repairs to the same one later this week. This has become a nightmare! We have spent nearly $2,000 in repairing the same defective part over and over again. We are retired and cannot afford to keep replacing the igniters that are defective. The range is totally unreliable. I never know if it is going to light when I turn it on. We have used only repair services that are officially recommended by Viking. Our calls and concerns to Viking go nowhere.Upon investigating further, I have found that the igniters have been a constant problem in these Viking ranges and they were forced to redesign the igniter/burners system in the newer ranges. Where does that leave those of us who own these lemons? I would like to consider taking action against Viking.

Other than the big oven door, my Viking range is great. I can put a couple of whole cookie sheets in there. Theres plenty of room to do whatever you wanna do. But the big door, unless I stick something in it, will not stay closed when we cook. It leaves a light on so I have to put something in to close it. I love my Viking a lot but the oven door is a pain in the neck.We also got a Viking refrigerator and the light went out. The guy came over to fix it and he didnt have what he needed. We tried chasing that guy down and we still dont have lights in the regular side of our refrigerator. Viking finally sent the instructions and I had them chase the guy down. I like the way it looks and it feels well-made. Ive had a stainless steel refrigerator before and I was constantly having to get fingerprints off. The Viking is better at not showing fingerprints. I also like the freezer and that there is no water dispenser because then I dont have water drips all over the front of my refrigerator. I wanted to get a really good refrigerator that would last a long time. I know Vikings top of the line products and so weve purchased refrigerators from them. Our first one had a water dispenser on the inside of the door. When we tried using the dispenser it wouldnt work as the water line kept freezing up. We ended up getting another refrigerator but a different model without a water dispenser, which is what we really wanted. The second one worked fine and then it stopped making ice. A service guy came out five times, replaced the ice maker twice, replaced the track twice and he said the water line was fine but he couldnt understand why its not making ice. So hopefully, this third refrigerators a charm. I hope it stays working and it seems to be fine. It makes some weird noises sometimes. It probably has something to do with the water line and the connection for the ice maker. But other than that, its producing ice. So far, so good.

All this after paying $12,000.00 for side by side top of the line units that have been nothing but a disappointment! I liked the quality of the Viking Range that I have observed at a family member’s house. I spent about two hours in the store and we finally landed on a product that I liked. However, I was really dissatisfied when the installer came to put the Viking Range in. They charged me $200 for the install, which I don’t remember having that conversation with my salesperson. I paid $50 to have them install the dishwasher so I thought I had paid for all of my installation fees already when I purchased the equipment. I paid them the $200 because my beef was not with them. My beef was with Famous Tate, who sold this stuff. I then brought my concerns to them. After some back and forth, and then realizing that I was not going to accept their answer, they finally gave me a credit of $200 on the purchase, which completely satisfied me. We also have a slight issue with our oven, where the door does not always close or shut off the lights. It is not pressing that little button that turns the light on and off. I have reminded my wife to call Famous Tate about it.

I bought my first Viking Professional eight years ago for aesthetic purpose
I bought my first Viking Professional eight years ago for aesthetic purposes and alleged reliability. Unfortunately, the freezer section broke down five years into it and I subsequently had to pay $1,000 to get that fixed. Where I am now, all of the built-ins of the Viking Professional line were already installed when I got here and six months into using it, one of the the refrigerator sections broke down even though my freezer section was cooling. I had not registered my refrigerator, but the customer service center expedited the service and the authorization code to the local service center so that we could address it quickly. Luckily, the repair guy had the part on hand or I would have been sitting without a refrigerator for a week or two if he had to order it. But he told me that he has seen this before with all the built-ins. The one that I have retails for $12,000 and if Im paying top of the line for the Viking Professional line, I expect some type of reliability. So Im a little disappointed. They probably didn’t engineer a certain piece correctly and in the manufacturing world, that may cause the piece to break down sooner rather than later or stop functioning the way it needs to.I have friends who use Sub-Zero, which has a price point thats a little higher, and I have other friends who have Wolf. When I benchmark my peers and what we have, mine’s average in terms of reliability. I don’t know their everyday details but I expect a little more reliability especially for the first five years of a product. Viking Professional is perceived as a high quality brand appliance and I think the salespeople and the dealer provide service to the best of their knowledge, but my personal experience has been such that I question the reliability of it. It hasnt met my expectations and unfortunately, I cant return it either.

I bought a $12,000 built-in Viking fridge from an online store (AJ Madison). It was discounted. It was supposed to have a scratch on the side, but it had a dent in the front. I bought an extended warranty. I bought it for a home in Florida that I rent out weekly. I vacation down there a few times a year. The first time I went down there, I noticed that the fridge temperature would spike up to 61 degrees. This was May of 2021. I called Viking and they sent a repairman out (Mr. Appliance). He said it was working perfectly. Then the renters started demanding money back for food that spoiled. Mr. Appliance came out again and said it was working perfectly. I went down there again, and the temperature would go up to 61 degrees and the food would spoil. At this point Viking told me they had to send a repairman out 3 times to deem it unrepairable. Mr. Appliance came out a third time and again said it was working perfectly. Now Viking said they would not take care of it, because I “accepted a broken refrigerator.“ Mr. Appliance came out again, put in a probe that showed that the temp went up to 61 degrees for 4 hours. He actually interpreted this as working perfectly. Viking got the temperature graph showing sustained temperatures at 61 degrees for 4 hours and claimed it was working fine. Viking refused to deem the refrigerator unrepairable. I got nowhere with Mr. Appliance, Viking or with the extended warranty people (New Leaf). Nine months later, I finally bought a working refrigerator from Home Depot. Nine months later, AJ Madison says they will give me a refund if Viking deems it unrepairable, which they will not. I am negotiating for a partial refund with AJ Madison now with new difficulties.

I do a lot of cooking and I wanted a range thats really good. I ran into Viking on the internet. And then, I went to appliance stores to look for them. I got one and I love it. My Viking Range cooks so much faster than whatever I had before. I got the one that has the gas on top, because I want a gas range. I like the electric below and the roll out shelves that has it in there. Theyll pull out heavy stuff. I like the fan and our only trouble was when we tried to hook it up, the gas hook up was not in a very good position. The guy that we had here to work on it had to add to it, because the pipe for the gas did not come out the back. And then, he had to build a pipe up higher because I dont have gas on the bottom. The fan blew out, so we had to have somebody come back in and they didnt have service people around us. We had to wait about a month to get a new fan for that bottom part. But they were really nice when they got here. They adjusted my burners for me.

Ive known of Vikings brand reputation for 20 years and although I was looking at a few others, Viking had a better price point for entry. However, the dealer didnt set expectations of timeline for delivery very well and the project was contingent on that so we could build countertops and finished cabinets. It had taken a couple of months to deliver the products, which was longer than the three to five weeks reported on their website. It forced us to live somewhere else for a couple of months so that was not good and we wouldnt do that again for sure.Afterwards, we wanted some minor adjustments done so we called and had somebody sent out right away. A lot of times, thats undervalued because I could have voided the warranty if I had a local repair shop come and fix it. But Viking made all the final adjustments and thats a huge benefit of the product. Its the best takeaway so far as that service aspect and after using the range for four months, the quality seems great too.

Built a new home in 2011, my ex wanted an elaborate kitchen that would be functional and fun to entertain in. We purchased Viking refrigerator, freezer, 2 dishwashers, 12 gas burners and 4 ovens, because our impression was Viking was top of the line. Turns out the line begins at the rear. The dishwashers never worked properly and I discarded them after 2 years & numerous service calls. The burners took several trips and replacement of the castings to get them level. The ovens take forever to reach temperature and each one takes a different setting to maintain required temperatures. Both doors on the refrigerator and freezer have sagged and required adjustments. Currently, we have been waiting for a month for a part for the refrigerator, in order to get the temperature under 50 degrees. Called yesterday again and was told that the part was on order and coming from the factory. I asked if it was coming by Pony Express, hello Viking have you heard about FedEx yet? Good thing I kept the 15-year-old Whirlpool or we would be eating out of a cooler.

20 years ago we went with a Vulcan, a true industrial appliance and after years with that, we decided that we wanted something more refined. Viking Ranges features and design fit what we wanted so we bought it. I wish it was more affordable but we love it. I have three favorite features of the range. One is the thermostatic griddle because that was one of the big things that the Vulcan did not have. We had the combination broiler griddle so we had to manually manage the temperature on the griddle, which was a ridiculous amount of effort. Thus we didnt use it much. Having the thermostatic griddle now makes it very usable because it makes it simple - turn it on, set the temperature, wait 10 minutes and cook. Another favorite feature is the convection. I use it almost all the time. The last one is actually an accessory but I do really like it and thats having the wok grate. There was one defect with the range and we worked through the dealer that we bought it from and it was good. They thought at first that it was a defective grease trap so they just sent out a replacement. When that didnt fit, they decided to look a little closer. In the end, it turned out that the griddle assembly was not welded together properly, thus the reason that the grease trap didnt fit. The problem was addressed and weve had no other issues.

Viking had been recommended by several people including our son and daughter-in-law who had one for a long time. The range we received over two years ago turned out to be just froth with a series of problems and we had various Viking repair out there. We received a factory replacement about two months ago and theres been one little igniter issue. But that was fixed and were back on board again. If it wasnt for the repairmen who knew our problem, we still wouldnt have one. We would have thrown it away. It was terrible. We just plainly could not continue with a device that was so unpredictable. The oven knobs got incredibly hot and the fan was really noisy. And it repeatedly would shut itself off. I would never buy a Viking stove again. And the one we have now is working much better. It shut itself off, but it was the igniter and the repairman fixed it. But the knobs dont get hot and the fan is extremely quiet. And thats so much nicer than we the one we had that was extremely noisy which almost shake the house.Viking made some changes with their service and repair facility and model. They went to an outside supplier that made multiple visits but had no knowledge of Viking as far as training. But when we finally got to the Viking employee that takes care of the State of Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska, he has been great. If it wasnt for him, we probably wouldnt have that stove anymore. We went through a lot and there was not a lot of support from Viking. I started keeping a log on Microsoft Word and its now over eight pages. And of all the various different calls, their replies, the kept emails that are incredible. But anyway, its just been a long journey. You got more than what you want to know.I went on Facebook at one time on their website to say how much trouble I had had and they replied with, Oh, well call your Viking such and such. We dont want this to happen. But it didnt do any good.

The induction range - the burners barely do anything unless you put the control at Med, Hi or higher. The knobs wiggle and are loose. They sent me new knobs but that didnt fix the problem. My Viking range is new and one of the burners sometimes just continuously clicks. Plus, one of the lights isnt even in the thing that shines down on the knobs. I got a Viking dishwasher with it six months ago and I already replaced that. We got rid of it as it had some sensor error and we were disappointed with our experience. I talked to Viking about it but I havent called about the oven yet. I got to have them put the light in on the knob as theres a hole where theres a gap where that might go. But the guys that came out and installed it did a very good job. Still, sometimes when you walk by, you smell a little bit of propane. My house is big so you dont really notice it, per se, but I noticed it. Then, they didnt level it right. When you deal with Viking, you got to go back to the shipper. Their customer service is all right though it seems like their service doesnt cover a lot of things. When the dishwasher went out, they said it was the sensor and must have been a problem with the install. Then pretty much, they told me that I got to go back to the installer. So then I dealt with them and they said it was dented by Viking. So, I went back and forth and nobody got me a dishwasher.

Service advised me that replacement was the only practical option as multiple repairs necessary would be cost prohibitive. We are very disappointed in Viking quality (except for range). The usual temperature for a refrigerator is 30 degrees and they recommended zero for the freezer. But when I do that, the top shelf which is the refrigerator side gets frozen. We also found out that our icemaker was making noises because there was no water supply, so I had people come out in maintenance. The person who serviced it said that I could be blocking the vents, so we removed stuff in the vents but the refrigerator still does that.

I was looking for higher end appliances, so we decided to go with Viking and have had nothing but problems. The refrigerators doors had a crack in it. The doors were not aligned. The freezer is always kind of opening and not sealing properly. Its a bit noisy. Then there was indenting, and this is the second time it happened in the fridge. I dont know why. I realized I have an extended 10-year warranty with PC Richard so I had the guy come out again, and he said he had to order a bunch of parts, and he placed the order. I hope that is being handled. As far as my range, its horrible. Im always having trouble. It is a very high-end stove that the burners half the time arent working. Its not holding the proper temperature inside. I feel like its a limit. I would put it on 400 but it only went to 300. Viking replaced the burners a couple of times. They come and fix it, but it reoccurs. Theres something wrong with the actual range itself. And then, when I called Viking because of everything that happened to have it serviced again because they canceled my last service due to the COVID, they told me Im out of warranty now. But its the same problem Ive been having since I got the range. Ive called in again but nobody has gotten back to me. They were supposed to push it up to management. I made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding whats going on.

It is unfortunate that I have to write this on a brand such as VIKING since I have had nothing but troubles on the 48 range and the big side by side refrigerator. Over the years we had several problems including the refrigerator door that fell off and almost hurt my wife had it not been for the kitchen island that stopped the fall on her. Thankfully Viking replaced the door but it shouldnt have happened. Now the range, right from the beginning we had issues with the right sided burners and grill not working, the oven that always made a hissing sound every so often when in use which we didnt know was a faulty burner and fire spreader plate. On 4 occasions we had the Fire department coming to our house because of Carbon-monoxide leak from the oven that triggered the alarm which, thankfully, is hooked to the Fire Dept. The latest being this Thanksgiving Day while the oven was in use. When discussing this with Viking customer service, the answer we got was that upper management couldnt help and suggested a repair service company. The service company stated that this is not an isolated issue but common with VIKING. The parts alone is quoted at over $1200.00 plus labor. If anyone is thinking of buying a VIKING product - think twice before you spend the tens of thousands for this poor quality brand like we did several years ago. Shame on you VIKING.

I went to Best Buy and bought a Viking range because I like the style and the large size burner. There was a big one in the middle which was exactly what I needed. But Im not having a good experience because I would have liked to have a product that is working, not a product that comes to our house damaged. I couldnt use the range after the installation because I was remodeling my house and then a few days after I finally turned it on a person from the gas company helped me because the burners were not working. Its been six months now that Ive been trying to solve this problem. I went back to Best Buy and talked to the manager and the second manager. They said theyre going to contact the service center but two months ago I was so disappointed and upset. I told them if they dont solve the problem or give me the solution I would return the item. After that they put me in contact of the service company. They said they would call me in three days and I waited. But then I had to travel for one and a half month and even until I came back they have never called me. I called again last week and they finally set up an appointment to solve the problem. So Im waiting and Im hoping that I dont have any more problem with the other Viking items. I am really disappointed I decided to buy. I knew somebody who had the product and had a problem with the service and I didnt listen so I am now having a problem.
