Our business is residential remodeling. In 2006 we remodeled our home and spent extra money on Viking appliances (double ovens, cooktop and microwave), because of their previous reputation and because clients often look at our kitchen. Weve had issues with each of the Viking appliances, but weve had the most complaints with the ovens from the beginning. They take a long time to heat up and the bottom oven does not heat up as well as the top one. The broil function is ridiculous because there is no prop on the door to leave it slightly open when broiling, so the oven gets too hot and turns off the broiler and my steak doesnt cook properly unless I leave the door completely open to keep the top coil hot. A couple years ago the clock went out on the oven and when we tried to have it repaired we found the part had been discontinued after only 7 years. I havent been able to find an aftermarket part so my self-clean and timed baking are virtually gone. When spending extra for high end appliances, I expect them to function properly and to last and to be able to find parts for them for at least 10-12 years. Ive tried on different occasions to contact Viking, but have gotten nowhere. I know appliances dont last as long as they used to, but to quit providing parts on appliances after 6 or 7 years seems ridiculous in the customer service world. I dont recommend Viking to any of my clients.

I owned a 4-burner Viking range back in 2005 and they were good. When we built our house, we tossed back and forth with other ranges. But we went with Viking once again. I couldnt settle for something else and it seemed like I was settling if I got something different. I like the different top for the broiler. We use it daily and were very happy.

I went to Best Buy and bought a Viking range because I like the style and the large size burner. There was a big one in the middle which was exactly what I needed. But Im not having a good experience because I would have liked to have a product that is working, not a product that comes to our house damaged. I couldnt use the range after the installation because I was remodeling my house and then a few days after I finally turned it on a person from the gas company helped me because the burners were not working. Its been six months now that Ive been trying to solve this problem. I went back to Best Buy and talked to the manager and the second manager. They said theyre going to contact the service center but two months ago I was so disappointed and upset. I told them if they dont solve the problem or give me the solution I would return the item. After that they put me in contact of the service company. They said they would call me in three days and I waited. But then I had to travel for one and a half month and even until I came back they have never called me. I called again last week and they finally set up an appointment to solve the problem. So Im waiting and Im hoping that I dont have any more problem with the other Viking items. I am really disappointed I decided to buy. I knew somebody who had the product and had a problem with the service and I didnt listen so I am now having a problem.

We had a Thermador double-wall oven and a cooktop in the house we owned before and my husband and I liked the way they were set-up. When we bought our current house, we didn’t want the ovens in the wall and just the cooktop because it’s a smaller house. We decided we wanted a freestanding slide the stove in with an oven and cooktop. We liked the looks of the Viking Ranges. The handles were substantial and were very much like the Thermador which was the professional model. We bought the gas range in December of 2010, but we did not take delivery of it until the beginning of February of 2011 because we redid our kitchen. We have the range in service for almost seven years but then, we noticed that the bottom of the oven have grooves in it and they were all rusted. I called Viking and got Lakeside Service. I had them look at it and they agreed that it was rusting down in the grooves but they didn’t know the reason. They said it couldnt be repaired and felt that it would ultimately rust through. Somebody at Viking told me that probably it was because we dropped something. But we didnt and it would be very hard to drop something into these narrow grooves that were in the bottom. The oven was not mishandled or misused in any way. And for something that we paid almost $6,000, it should not have died or be defective within seven years.I called customer service ‘cause I was supposed to hear from someone within a couple of days but it was already more than that. I was patched through to Michelle and we worked out the details. Viking offered to pay about half on a new freestanding stove to slide in the spot and I paid a little bit more than half the installation fee. This time, we decided to go with an electric cooktop. We got it through Viking and their installer put it in. We noticed that this one sticks up but other than that, it’s good. However, I will never buy another Viking stove if this one does the same thing in the next seven years. At the cost of their product, I would expect it to last longer than that. Also, their 90-day warranty was almost nonexistent particularly on the porcelain paint job on the oven. I am dissatisfied with it and yet I have another one, but that was the only way to get back anything that would fit in the opening. We weren’t sure if the other brands would fit and we knew that the new one we have would. But as far as their people are concerned, it was an okay experience.

I bought this bottom freezer french doors 36 counter depth refrigerator 19 months ago and the freezer is icing up every few months. Its a total disaster and I am tired of constantly having to throw away food to unfreeze it. Once I spend hours doing it, things get back to normal for a month or so and then the cycle repeats. Its incredibly annoying and standard manufacturer warranty is expired after a year. Really bad product, you dont expect this from a newer fridge, especially Viking. Not living up to its name at all.

I used to have a Viking oven so I trusted Viking and that was why I bought the Viking range. My husband ordered it and everything was smooth. The range is a great product but the stove-top is heavy. I clean it after I cook but once I touch the water on that, it gets rusted easily. But that’s the only thing I don’t like. If I purchase the next one, I’m going to buy something thats easy to take care of.

Viking seems to have a pretty good reputation. Also, I had a Viking stand-alone refrigerator before that I bought on sale and it was good for years. So, when I saw that they had a floor model sale, I took it as a good opportunity to upgrade. I got another stand-alone refrigerator and its interior design is nice and quite functional. It also seems solid and reliable, like the Viking refrigerator that I had before. Viking Support has been very good, too. When the dealer sent a crew who was not a certified installer and did an extremely poor job, I ended up calling Viking Support and that was when I finally got help. So far, I like the refrigeration part of my current Viking refrigerator, but Im not too pleased that its freezer. It is so noisy and on all the time, which is quite bothersome when it is in the middle of a kitchen or family room area. It did not occur to me when I had the smaller refrigerator that the freezer kicked on all the time. With this one, the compressor kicks on for a few times a day and when I open it, which I find unnecessary. Even in a cool day in Northern California, it would kick on and last for a long time. And I hardly use the freezer. I have called their technical support and the guy said that the freezer does that because it needs defrosting. But why would it need to do that all these times? I was also told that it’s normal, which I find counter intuitive when I hear the freezer cranking more often than I open it. So if thats really not a defect, then it is a very poor design.

I’ve known about Viking Ranges forever. I felt that it had everything that I needed at the price point that I could afford. I wanted a Wolf because everybody has a Wolf and raves about it. But I thought that it was out of my price range. I wondered where could I get something of equal quality but without all the bells and whistles, which was why I bought a basic Viking range with no electronics, just the straight goods. We dealt with Trail Appliance and liked them very much. The salesman there had the very same Viking range and was really positive about it. They also offered a free set of pots and pans once you bought your Viking range, but I’ve contacted them twice, and nobody has gotten back to me about it. That bothered me. Other than that, we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The ranges quality is excellent. My favorite thing is how hot it could get and how low it could go without disruption.

My experience with Viking has always been good. When I rebuilt a house ten years ago, I filled it with Viking stuff. My kitchen was 40 feet long, so it was cramped full of everything Viking made. And then I built another house down here in Palm Springs and filled it with Viking stuff too. The representatives at the Viking dealer were the best. Ive never seen any appliance company operate like they do. My Viking ranges quality is top notch. I like the different things I can do with it - bake, bake convection, convection. I also like the ease where I can control the flames on the stove top. Its a new generation and the flame goes way down now. In the past, it wasnt as adjustable but its really good now.

I was online looking for a dual-range stove, dual-fuel, and I came across Viking. I know people have them and are very happy with them so I went with them too. The quality was great and I love it. The biggest thing that sold me on the Viking was the burners, just being able to turn them on without having to program anything. That was one of the big features. And I have cats, so they walk on top of the stove. Most stove controls are on top but the quality of the Viking, the BTUs, the way it cooks and everything, it’s great and I really enjoy it. It has been a great experience.

I purchased an entire kitchen of Viking appliances minus the fridge. The appliances were installed approximately 3 months ago, but have never been used because we are just moving back into the house. So far, we have had a repairman out for the stove, the microwave and most recently was told that the wine cooler has to have the control panel replaced. Are you kidding me? I haven’t had the first glass of chilled wine. I called corporate and was told that sometimes it happens. Not much concern was shown. They made sure that I knew that the cooler has a 2-year warranty. There are 3 reasons that I bought Viking products: first, they are beautiful; second, they are made in America; and third, I thought they were a good company with a very good product. I was wrong on everything except the beautiful part. Who protects us from these predators?

I liked Vikings looks and reputation. However, we already had the refrigerator serviced. There were issues with the door. We bought it through Best Buy and they were difficult to deal with. They put the fridge in a flush mount and the one that we got is not a flush mount. So, its just not installed correctly. Also, we had a lot of issues with Best Buy. Just having them set up delivery, their delivery people coming out, not telling us to do certain things that we needed to do before installation. And it went with everything that we had, with the stove and the dishwasher. The only thing that went okay was the microwave. I love my stove. But I had two things serviced already.

I had a problem with my door. I was given Absolute Parts Repair as the service agent. I have ZERO complaints about them (especially Brandi ** who was an absolute delight to work with!!) BUT I have 2 complaints about Viking Parts Service. It took more than ONE MONTH to get the new door to fix my brand new stove. I finally called directly and talked to a gentleman who said my part should ship in 2 business days. IT DID NOT, in fact there was no part but rather the next time I called Viking Parts directly, I was told that they were manufacturing a whole new door. The second experience was good with Melody **. She kept me up to date and watched my order but honestly ONE PLUS MONTH for a part?? Luckily my kids have moved out but to not have an oven for more than one month is not acceptable as far as I am concerned.

10 years ago we did a remodel of our kitchen and game room after saving up for eight years to pay for it. I convinced my wife to purchase the Viking refrigerator over the Sub Zero which she really wanted. She had purchased a Viking range at our old house which she loved and we moved it to our new home. After it and the new refrigerator were installed I felt that it was perfect and I was proud of the fact that we were able to afford such a nice kitchen. Well soon after we had problems that everyone here has had and more. I have been holding back from blasting Viking on the net for a while. Tonight we came home to see water stains in our game room ceiling, coming from the kitchen upstairs right under the fridge. I followed the water line through the drop ceiling up under the fridge. All good, no water or leaks from the line or connection. Then I notice that the drip pan is MELTED completely and is stuck to the floor like TAR. So if you are reading this and you had over heating/thermostat and coolant leaks and ice buildups and gasket replacements and hinge recalls and numerous service calls. YOU better check your drip pan. Did I mention that I work for a moving company and bash Vikings name everywhere I can. Imagine moving furniture for 8 years to pay for this.

I knew of Viking 30 years ago. I live near the North Shore which is a pretty area and Viking was all they had in their houses. Thats what they got and that’s what I wanted. It was either Viking or Wolf stoves we were looking at. Wolf only had built-in refrigerators but when we designed our kitchen, we didnt do a built-in area for the refrigerators. Viking had the range, the microwave, and the refrigerator so we went with them. We used Grand Appliances in Libertyville and they were phenomenal. I was a pretty savvy consumer so I went about and did my research before I went in. We had a saleswoman who was fantastic too.We like the Viking range. It works and I like the blue light. The only thing we dont like about it is it doesnt have a timer on there, like a digital display. It has the knob on it that tells the temperature, though. When Im cooking something in the oven, I have to set the timer. Other than that, every appliance in our kitchen is all Viking. We bought a Viking microwave, so we set the timer on that. Our dishwasher is Viking too. When we had one little problem with our refrigerator, they came out to fix it. Now, its making a knocking noise but hopefully, it will go away before we call back. Overall, Id recommend Viking.

I bought an upgraded Viking gas oven with the highest quality cooktop/burners. I opted for this upgrade mainly for the burners and the self cleaning feature of the oven. The FIRST TIME the self cleaning feature was used, the oven door would not unlock! Evidently, the oven door locks when the self cleaning feature is activated to prevent a child from opening the door and getting burned. Makes sense (except any opening of the door while in use would result in burns). One would think that a distortion of a bi-metal plate would enable this locking feature. Viking, however, uses some electronic mechanism (some cheap piece of crap) which breaks down when exposed to heat! GENIUS! This mechanism evidently breaks down often and the Viking-recommended repair man suggested breaking the lock mechanism to enable opening of door rather than repairing since it would break again! HERES the KICKER -- THE SELF CLEANING FEATURE WILL NOT ENGAGE ever again because the self locking door is inoperable. PATHETIC. Viking should be ashamed of themselves. As in all these other reviews. Buyer beware. DO NOT BUY!!!!

I bought a new home and Viking came with it. I like that the appliance cooks well. To be honest though, I haven’t had the best experiences. We’ve had to have some repairs for every appliance since I’ve lived here in one year of owning brand-new products. So I’m not exceptionally thrilled. I have a fridge, a stovetop and a microwave. There was some build-up of ice in the freezer. The most aggravating part is that I sit and wait for installers all day long. Then, they do it over and over and over, so it doesn’t sit very well. I had three times they had to come out for the freezer and the stovetop. Twice they had to come out for the microwave. But at this moment, everything is working fine.

Ive had Viking products before and I heard about the Viking refrigerator from friends and people whove had Viking appliances. My son-in-law works for a company thats owned by Viking, so I got the friends-and-family deal, and it was a great deal. I like the French doors. In fact, this is the only slide-in refrigerator that Viking makes, and it was perfect for my kitchen thats relatively small. I just couldnt justify going up to a commercial grade refrigerator with a small kitchen. I also love the components of the freezer units. There are different areas where I can freeze things. Its very compact and efficient.I had a few questions regarding the refrigerator and the rep pointed out how to do the adjustments. I had called the Viking headquarters in Tennessee and asked for a hard copy version of the manual, even though its available online, but I never received it. Thats an oversight on their part, but I should just go ahead and print out the manual off of the internet. But other than that, Im very happy with the refrigerator. Its great. Vikings customer service was outstanding. The guy that remodeled my house was pretty cuckoo, in no real detail or into especially for that kind of stuff. There were six appliances here that are all Viking and the reps worked with me very nicely about getting all the model numbers and the serial numbers. We got them all registered. There was never any question that it was a maintenance issue or a warranty issue. The only drawback I see about the refrigerator is that when I pull open the drawer of the icemaker, ice falls behind the drawer and into the cabinet where I cant get those loose cubes out. The first range, a 36 open burner and the range hood, have been fine for 12 years. Surviving a move to a new house even. The dishwasher purchased at the same time started badly staining glassware & silver after a couple years. Viking said it was crappy dishwasher soap (phosphates removed) but the Bosch at our ranch did fine. Limeaway removed the staining temporarily. Inspected the racks and found the plastic coating cracked exposing the carbon wire core which was rusting. Viking said theyd happily sell me new racks for $450. Compared it to a neighbors dishwashers, found it to be an Asko. Racks were less than half Vikings. Very Funny. 30 open burner gas stove at ranch would not light/stay lit. Viking said likely master propane regulator was bad (but fireplace & Rannai water heater worked fine). Third-party repair person specified by Viking found range regulator out of limit, requested replacement. A month later, no regulator after many calls. I built a water manometer, adjusted Viking regulator to spec, range worked fine. Then noticed when range top leveled, triangular gaps between range & counter face. Adjusting feet to plumb range sides with counter made range top 1/2 bubble off. Viking said floor not level (it was fine). Problem was range not square, back had been screwed on with sides not plumb. Called third party repair person, he said call somebody else. Viking hadnt paid him for diagnosing the regulator problem. Removed back, squared stove, replaced back (new screw holes required), problem solved. BBQ looked massively professional but cast-iron burners holes continually rusted shut, had to be reamed twice a year. Porcelainized sheet iron flame diffusers and grates didnt last two years (their new ones are stainless), found SS burners, diffusers & grates on the internet for 1/4 Vikings prices. Drip-drawer plastic (!), rollers melted immediately, replaced with SS. Moral: Great appearance, great brochures, celebrity endorsements (paid, most likely), a generous retail mark-up (probably) encourages dealer loyalty and dealer omission of known crappy quality control, crappy build details and total absence of warranty service discharge. Wouldnt buy anything Viking again...

Several months after installing the appliances, the DISHWASHER broke... the water would not drain properly. Viking repair man fixed, then happened again about a year later. I asked Viking rep to replace product since same issue was re-occurring and appeared to be a pre-existing problem. I was told no; that since the dishwasher was still under warranty they would send another repair man. Fixed again... then same thing happened again within a year... except now (even though they Sat unopened in boxes first the 6 months) the warranty was over.I was told the diverter valve needed replaced, and it would cost over $600.00 to repair!!! I was beside myself, I called Viking and said this was ridiculous since this was a pre-existing problem and I should not have to pay for repair. Well we all know their response... Cant help as no longer under warranty. A frightening and dangerous feature of the GAS STOVE TOP is the design of the on/off knobs. I am all of 110 lbs, and sometimes when I lean forward to stir a pot on a back burner, the pressure from my body will actually turn the flame from the front burner on!!! Also, periodically when I turn one burner on, one of the burners that is off will make a clicking noise. The REFRIGERATOR water dispenser broke after the first year. Later had troubles with the ice maker bar getting stuck in the on position, and more recently the clear plastic on the large pull out drawer cracked. Finally, the other day the refrigerator just stopped working - like it went into a defrost mode - ruined all frozen foods, and most of the refrigerated items. I called the store where I purchased the Vikings to see if maybe the refrigerator was still under warranty - they said no. I mentioned all the troubles I have had with these products, and the sales representative said they stopped carrying Viking products. I think that says it all!!!The repairman came, said it was the poorly designed freon line which was directed into a drip pan (for cooling purposes) causing the line to rust/corrode, and consequently leak the freon. He was surprised to see this since he said, running the line in this manner was stopped years ago. The repair was estimated at $600.00 to replace the line, but possibly $1000.00+ if other related problems were found. The repair man said probably better to cut my losses and go with a more reliable refrigerator like GE, Kenmore or Whirlpool - rather than throwing good money after bad. Like many I want to repair since cheaper than buying new... but based on reading these postings, and past repair experiences... Im afraid of getting burned once again. Being stuck between a rock and a hard place. :(I would NEVER, ever recommend buying these overly expensive appliances built with their cheap parts, and poor design features. I feel like I spent a lot of money and never received a good return on my hard earned dollars. Should be illegal. Guy who mentioned a class action suit may be on to something.

Im an interior designer, so Ive used Viking ranges a few times in houses that Ive designed the kitchens and built. I bought my range at Ferguson and got a good deal on it. I love my range. It is of good quality, has high heat output and all the grates are very heavy. Its a little difficult to clean though. Also, it is more of a commercial level, and its a little difficult to learn how to cook on it.The ovens are very hard to get a hang of because theres a drop-down broiler heating element in the top of both of the oven units. If you dont position your racks right, you will burn everything. If you get them too low, then you burn it from the bottom, because youre too close to the bottom element. I used the manual to figure out the configuration of the oven racks. Once they stopped burning things and figured out the positioning of the racks to cook what I do on a daily basis, it was a little better. Right now, I have some little issues with it and I have a service coming out tomorrow. Its not preheating right, and the fans for the convection of the large oven sounds like a motorcycle when it comes on.

I went to culinary school and we used Viking ranges all the time so I know that theyre reliable. They cook well and very evenly which is awesome. They usually dont break which is very good. Unfortunately, we had some problems with the one we got. The racks in it dont slide out. We also had a problem with one of the burners that wouldnt light. Were still waiting for pieces to come in for a few months now. The company has been fine but since theyve come to fix it, we still havent heard anything about the parts coming in. It would have been nicer to get kind of like an update.

We bought a Viking refrigerator 15 years ago. We purchased a new refrigerator to replace one that wasnt working anymore. We had no choice but to buy another Viking because we invested in cabinetry and it’s the only thing that would fit. However, it doesnt fit even if the specs said it would. It was a disappointment. The current model is two inches deeper than the original side by side that fit in the 24-inch cabinet. Viking would not take it back but the appliance company would, but we had looked at other side-by-side models. We would have had to use a stainless and our panel wouldn’t fit. In addition, nobody makes a counter depth refrigerator anymore. Wed have to invest in the columns to do that, and they’re significantly more expensive. We’re stuck with the Viking refrigerator. Also, they gave us a deal and we had gotten a dishwasher for free that came along with the refrigerator. Vikings specs need to be more accurate in terms of calling something counter depth when it’s really not counter depth. The refrigerator freezes things on the top shelf. Then we had a hinge problem. We had people out of here twice to fix the hinges. The door is also extremely heavy and has a metal compartment on the door. And it’s much heavier than the other unit. Although its a great refrigerator, I’m not enamored with Viking products. I also own a second Viking, a 36 inch with a lower freezer, which is still working after 15 years.

I was all the way around looking at different places and I ended up buying the Viking fridge through the kitchen design place that I used. One thing that was attractive was the breakdown in price when I bought four appliances. I like the quality of the Viking fridge. It does the job well and I like the design. However, when the ice maker is in ice making mode, the arm is down and the drawer is full, then I open the drawer, a whole bunch of ice gets pushed out to the back and on to the floor. When I slide out the drawer, the arm takes some ice cube with it. Theres gotta be something that wasnt done quite the way it should be because I always have to put the ice maker arm up when I can see its getting full. Its not really engineered very well there and I wish that was a little different. But I like the way it looks and the way it feels sturdy when I use it.

We received our range and it was installed in our home. Everything worked fine for a day. Then, the oven stopped working. We called for a service technician to come out. They came out, did some adjustments, and nothing worked. He couldnt get it to fix so he said that we got to order new parts. I told him that it is a brand-new range and I asked why we need to order brand-new parts. So, it arrived faultily. The parts were back-ordered for probably a month. We spoke to our regional representative, trying to figure out what the holdup was. Of course, it was blamed on COVID and I understood that. Then the parts came and the service technician installed them. Everything was working when he was here. He left that evening. I went to make dinner and put a chicken in. An hour later, the oven was lukewarm. It didnt maintain its flame. The next morning, before I called them, I thought to see what was going on. It would go through its clicking cycle to ignite. It’s a liquid propane system. And we ordered the correct range. That morning, it went through its cooking cycle like it always does and didnt light. We tried it again and then a fireball came out the bottom of it. I called the technician and told them what happened. I also called our regional representative and told her what happened. The technician was busy and couldnt come out ‘til the next week. Then he came back out and looked at it. He called the Viking service line and went through all of the suggestions that they made. He could get the small oven to light, but could not get the bigger side to light, and now has ordered another part. I think its the igniter or something like that is not working. I just got a phone call this morning that were on the schedule two weeks from now to get it repaired. Right now, I’m not very happy. We can use the top, but we cant do anything in the oven. Its pretty frustrating, especially since this is supposed to be top-of-the-line. So, basically, we have a brand-new piece of metal sitting in our kitchen that we cant use to its full extent. The most frustrating thing is were not getting any discount or benefit. We tell our representatives whats going on. We even said that we wanted another one because what if something happens to this one again? I dont know why that wasnt offered, again, ‘cause its a brand-new thing and its faulty when it arrived. I understand its a big piece. Its not like something that I brought home in a bag. It involved shipping and people installing it. But were kind of stuck as a consumer. Our technician is great. Theyre highly recommended. It’s no fault of them. Its the product and these arent cheap. Essentially this thing is the price of a car.

We went to Best Buy and saw Viking there. We chose them based on what we saw and the recommendation of the salesperson and then compared the burners and the size that we had and that’s why we purchased it. When we first got this stove in, a piece of sealing in the oven door between the glass was loose and we had to wait for that to get replaced. There was a dent in the bottom frame. Viking wouldn’t automatically replace the stove outright. They wanted to send some service guy over and it took almost six weeks to get that taken care of. Also, the oven door does not stay shut when you use the oven. It hasn’t even been a year and now we have the issue with the oven door just popping open in between when we’re cooking. We’ve got us a service guy coming on Monday, but would prefer to have that stove completely replaced given the fact that we’ve got two service calls on the warranty.Viking keeps telling me that there’s nothing they can do and I have to call the authorized service people. Ive called their headquarters to find the name of the authorized service people, and they said even though within a number of days of purchasing, if it arrives in my house, they wouldn’t replace it which I don’t understand. Other manufacturers do it automatically. When I had issues with Sears, Id call them up and theyd give me a replacement. We would not recommend Viking based on whats going on now.

I have been using Viking products for a couple years now. However, one of the things that I’m having a problem with, and this is the second kitchen we put in, is it seems like every time I buy Viking, it comes in broken. Last 2012, we did the kitchen and the refrigerator came in and they had no compressor. I told them to take it back, but they wouldn’t take it back. So, I bought a rebuilt. They can fix it, but I tested that and then I was like okay. I supposed it was just bad luck. And then this time, I used it and the refrigerator came in broken again. So, I have a broken refrigerator there with the door that is not working. Then, they got to come back and then the dishwasher got a bulk. As soon as the guy came out, I’m like, “What is wrong with you guys? Every time I get something from you guys, is it just my bad luck or what?” Out of four appliances, two of them broke. That is ridiculous. I also said that we do our kitchen every four years and I’m doing a kitchen down in Florida. That was to start this month and I’m behind and I told him I can’t be bringing in stuff that I know I got a way to get it fixed and I’m not there. I said I can’t do this. Nevertheless, everything else looks good. The Viking dealer was fine.

Viking Refrigerators have a tough look. They dont have the look of a local GE but rather the look of a Sub-Zero Wolf, and I like it. Also, its quality is decent. The refrigerator that I purchased was only available in a French-door, which is a counter depth. I wish that option was available in a one-door as well. The shelves are movable. Its a tough refrigerator on the inside and its not clumsy. The freshness stays in there longer and things don’t spoil as quickly. But it is extremely overpriced and its so heavy compared to the others. The size could also have been a little wider.

Please dont waste money on any Viking products! I have had two dishwashers in the past 10 years that fall apart and no longer work. I also have Viking fridge. I buy bagged ice to fill my ice maker. Viking products stink.

After reading some of the reviews, I guess Ive gotten off easy with my fully Viking stocked kitchen, but nevertheless I feel compelled to add to the pile of one star ratings. Granted my Viking appliances are 10 years old, but having had GE and KitchenAid appliances, which last 20 years, my expectations are that if Viking is going to charge THAT much money for an oven, or a dishwasher, then itll last even longer than the other brands. We had a years worth of trouble with our oven burning everything before it finally exploded (literally). After 2 months Viking finally sent the right part. Oh, but they told the repairman to bend the piece to make it fit; even the repair man was incredulous. Now we have been waiting 4 weeks for a part for our dishwasher. I called the day it was due in (today), and nope, not ready. Itll be another 2-3 weeks. Its back ordered. Who is making these parts? Elves that work only by the light of the moon?! Viking: Figure this out. Figure out how to make better appliances (Many, many of your competitors have already figured this out. Its not rocket science). And then, figure out how to get your parts faster. Your turnaround time takes me back to the 1860s. Its absurd. Thankfully we didnt buy these appliances, the previous owners did. But I cannot wait to replace them. My plan is to take all 4 Viking appliances to Burning Man and set them on fire.

The dealer, Mario, did an awesome job of telling us all the benefits. We ended up going with Viking because he said that they stood behind their product and he had never heard complaints from anyone. That was the bottom line where we ended up buying 30 some thousand dollars of equipment there from Best Buy. I bought an entire kitchen of Viking. We have a microwave, a wine cooler, the gas range and the hood. So, all we need is a ship now to be a complete Viking. The Viking refrigerator is good although some of the soft close drawers on the bottom of the refrigerator dont exactly soft close but Im not gonna go crazy over that as much as that thing cost us. I also had some issues with the icemaker but we got that resolved and it was more of a connection issue. We had some issues with our dishwasher and we had to have it replaced. Also, I’m disappointed that the French oven doors didnt seal correctly. But other than that, they look fine. Were working through the service folks that Viking recommended to us and right now, Im still waiting for those. But so far, Im very happy.

I am only writing this review here because I see that Viking actually monitors this and sometimes responds. The salesman at Pacific Sales was pushing this brand over others and especially over Sub Zero, stating that they are owned by a new company and the customer service has become much better. I have written to Viking three times, 11/15, 11/22, and again around 11/30 to tell them to pound sand. Since it had been 15 days with zero response to my requests from them, they clearly arent interested in my business. The saddest part is that my second response was to have a representative look at my existing appliance, and that I may choose to just replace it, depending on the quote they offered. Nothing from them. I refuse to consider spending $10k on a refrigerator with a company who cant answer two different requests after 15 days. I guess they dont need my money, so Ill spend more at SZ when this one finally dies.UPDATED ON 03/25/2018: The Viking refrigerator that I had broke down and I replaced it with the same one. I did not want to spend over $10,000 on a refrigerator except that the hole in my house fits that one and it was more affordable than the Sub-Zero. I really wanted the Sub-Zero, but I didn’t want to spend an extra $6,000. Vikings website is terrible. If you put in a request for information on their website and submit the button, you do not get a response. I was looking for somebody to service the broken refrigerator and to check it out because maybe I didnt need to replace it. But they did not respond and I had to go to the website to complain about them. They reached out to me through the website and told me that they dont have access to the the account that those emails go to since the new company bought them a few years ago. I told them that they need to update their website so they could have access. They apologized but they never pointed me to any person who could come and check my refrigerator. Their customer service is nonexistent and I’m banking on the warranty that I have with the store that I purchased the refrigerator from and the reps that they have there.

I like the aesthetics of the Viking Range and the way it fits in the kitchen. It’s also decent quality. There are higher-end ones but I’m not one that’s gonna spend that kind of money, and even this is overkill. But this would be a better choice. I had Viking for 14 years and I never had a problem with it. I liked it very much and decided to go with it again. The first one I had, I liked its dependability and the way it cooked. It was a high performing stove, and I liked that. What I have now is the same model, newer, and it’s no different. I had two problems however. I ordered my Viking range and when it came, there was a gas leak in it. The Viking person could not find any smell of gas, and he thought I was crazy. I had the gas company out and they found that it was inside the stove. Then the second time, they took that stove away and gave me another one, and I had a defect in that one also. So, I’m on my third stove, but it’s finally the right one. The installation teams have been fine too.

I had some Viking products before and I love their products. I got a refrigerator and its very organized, compressed and is a nice statement in the kitchen. It also seems to be energy efficient because it doesn’t run in a cycle. It runs on and off a lot versus the thing compressing the air. It also maintains the temperature very easily and its quiet. The guys who brought the ref in were extremely careful and good at moving the big and heavy product. But I was offended by my experience with their dealers. They sent out a refrigerator which was boxed and I saw the delivery guys open it in front of my house and it was damaged in the box. They brought it in and they said the damage could be easily fixed by replacing one piece. I told them it was fine, I needed the refrigerator for the holiday. But as I installed the refrigerator, I noticed one packaging slip on the side of it so I removed it and inside the slip was the receipt that a new box had been ordered for this refrigerator. The refrigerator was sold to another family in a nearby suburb and returned by that family because it was damaged. But the dealer sold it to me as a new product.I immediately called the supplier and it was like the girl had been waiting for my call. They knew exactly what was going on and they ordered me another one. The other one came and they said, “Just use this one in the meantime.” I wasn’t really out a refrigerator for a long period of time, but it was just the idea of them trying to slip this damaged one past me. I would be hesitant in purchasing a high-priced item from this company again even though Im happy with the product itself.

When I went into the store of the multi-product and multi-brand dealer, I had a shortlist of what would fit in my house, and the Viking refrigerator was one of them. Its well-rated. I looked online for reviews and did more of my research outside of the dealer store. The refrigerator that I got from Viking is good. I like it a lot, especially the lighting. However, there are two things that I dont like about it. One is that I wish I had filtered water. The second one is that when you use the ice tray in the automatic ice feature, the little bars that measure whether its full or not usually catch the ice, and then the ice falls back into the freezer and you cant shut the freezer. So then you have to fish up some of the ice. But its hard to get back there because you have to get down on your hands and knees and slide the big tray out. Otherwise, the ref is working well.

I’ve always wanted a Viking range and I did not know they also had a free-standing fridge that was huge. But, the free dishwasher was the main thing as to why I went with them over other companies. The Viking guy had to come up because we are at a different elevation, so he had to do something. When you turn it on underneath, it takes a little while to light up and I didn’t even notice that but he noticed it. Nevertheless, it looks beautiful and everything that we’ve put in it has been awesome so far. Also, the rep I dealt with was great. I knew what I wanted so she didn’t have to do too much. However, as soon as the first range was delivered, it was all banged up. The lady had it exchanged out within a week and really helped me out with those little things.

Got on this website to see if others have had issues with Viking Refrigerators. Our house came with a Viking Pro, but it had so many problems. Viking sold us a newer one at a discount. Now, the replacement is doing the same things - erratic temperatures, spoiling food, alarm goes off, constant calls for repairs (and expense) - such that we have not been able to use it for months. Thank God for an over 25 year old Hotpoint fridge that we have had in our garages in several homes across the country but has never has had a problem. I can see that others have had issues and while I am glad to learn that, I am at a loss as to why a company that once had, I thought, a good reputation, is not seriously concerned and doing something about it. Is the company going under?

The Viking appliances came as a package with the house that I purchased and I was like, “Wow, these are really good appliances in the place.” I just had contact with Viking Refrigerators when I was registering the appliances. I needed to register them for them to be serviced under warranty. But I was a little surprised that sometimes the serial numbers and product numbers didn’t go into the side of the appliances. Then I would call Viking Refrigerators and they gave me a procedure for dealing with this which made the whole process of registration a little more complicated. We just had our Viking refrigerator serviced because the ice maker was not working properly. If this doesn’t work, I don’t know what else would.” But I was a little baffled that six months into living into my house, my super expensive, top-of-the-line Viking refrigerator didn’t work and then they serviced it, and now there’s water frozen. When the water seeps, it starts freezing, and the frozen thing eventually blocks the water in, and that was what also happened the last time. The quality of the Viking refrigerator seemed nice, but I was a little surprised that something so upscale with such a great reputation had this kind of failure in the first six months of its life. The refrigerator was covered under warranty because the Viking appliances came with the same one-year warranty that the builder gave. But Im going to reach out to Viking Refrigerators and find out if I can extend the warranty because I’m a little concerned and we’d love to have that extended warranty.

We owned a Viking Range years ago, and this is our second one. We purchased our first Viking from Fergusons and they had to take the stove back because somebody on the assembly line didn’t put the installation which was supposed to be there. The Viking team had to totally remove the stove and bring us a different one, and that was the first and only negative experience that we had. Then we moved to Arizona and when we got there, we had a stove top, so we ended up selling the stove. When we moved back to Atlanta, we wanted to get another stove, and my wife wanted to buy a Wolf. She already ordered the Wolf but I canceled the order because the Wolf stove look was like four little red dots and didn’t have any character or personality on the front of it. Its performance may have been comparable or even better than the Viking but I didn’t like its bland look, so I decided to get another Viking. The people that delivered it this year were very professional. They bolted it down the way they were supposed to and they took their time and did everything right. I don’t remember them bolting down the first one that we got. I just remember them sliding it in and they never put that secure bracket on the back, which they did this time. That safety bracket was supposed to be there because that’s a very heavy stove that may fall over. I love the quality as well as the performance and style of the Viking range. It has a high-end, tough look to it and high-intensity burners. It’s the best stove sold in the market and it’s worth the money.

I’ve been a Viking fan for quite a while when I lived in Chicago. There’s a place up there that sold a lot of Viking products, and I used to see them on display. And I figured if I ever remodel, I’d look at them again, which I did. And I bought a whole Viking kitchen. I dealt with their distributor Elite Appliance, and they were really great. Brian, the sales guy, was really good, very detailed and he answered all my questions. I got a great price and we bought the refrigerator, the 36-inch stove and I ended up getting the Viking dishwasher for free. So, that was a plus. The refrigerator has been installed and we’ve been using it for about three weeks now. I like it a lot. I like that it’s got a lot of lighting in it when I open it up. And the separate drawers for different temperature controls seems to work well. It’s counter-depth and it’s got a lot of room in it. I also like the lower drawer freezer and the sliding shelf. And now, I got an icemaker that works again, so I like that too.

Ive known Viking for a long time. I had to make a decision on a new kitchen and so I chose them. With Wolfe, you have to have a subzero refrigerator and I wanted everything to be Viking. My experience with the dealership was awesome. I like the quality of the refrigerator but I’ve had quite a few calls to fix things. We had problems with the hinge on the bottom of that refrigerator. The door sunk down and so there was almost at one point, about three-quarters of an inch difference between the refrigerator and the freezer. They had to re-put in a binder and had to come out twice for that. And then on Thanksgiving, the top of my stove was horrible. Something went out and the oven shut down. They could not replace that and it was unbelievably awful. Also, with my Viking microwave, I had the whole motherboard replaced. And that was under warranty. Thank goodness my refrigerator and the range were under two years warranty. The products look beautiful when you walk into my kitchen. It looks really nice but it’s not worth it. My refrigerator was $8000 which is stupid and my range was $1000. I could probably get adjustments for the product with GE profile.

We previously had a Sub-Zero refrigerator and we love it. We had the long handles with the furniture door front on it. My wife wanted to have something that evoked that look. We knew that we did not want to go for Sub-Zero appliances again in this remodel in Florida so we went with the Viking refrigerator because there was a point price differential and it was attractive. Plus, the gas stove was decent, too. However, our problem with the refrigerator has been directed towards the cosmetics. The skin is just ridiculously thin and every door that we had delivered had dents in it. In the light, you can clearly see the dents and there are also obvious manufacturing issues such as the bottom freezer door. The top lift of it has the same three dings on the upper lift, through every door that weve seen in the same spot, so its clear that there is something on the assembly line that ticks these door fronts up and moves them along the line. My wife went online and spoke with somebody at the local Viking place down here. The authorized Viking dealer where we bought it and we dealt with has been wonderful and the refrigerator is working fine. But its just so aggravating to look at the refrigerator and see these little reflections off of dents and it really makes it look like not a quality product.

So, overall, a good product but I had to replace it after eight years. Im happy with the new one, but we had problems with the retailer, Best Buy. It took some convincing to have that replaced. But theyre really communicative and the guy whos come out a couple of times is really nice and very quick. As for the range itself, I appreciate how quickly the eyes on the top get hot. It took some getting used to not having an indicator that the oven was preheated. I like the design, quality, size and features of Viking. The delivery of the refrigerator went well. I had it delivered in March, and been using it fine. But it wasnt until about three weeks ago, I had some renovating and remodeling. I had the plumbers come out and they connected the water line to the fridge so it can make ice. They hooked it up and I left for work, came back and only about 10 pieces of ice were made. So, I called up the place that I bought it from and they sent out a technician today but they couldnt figure it out. The technician was like, Oh, you need to send this in to Viking. This is a 700-pound unit. I spoke with them and they said that they will come out again to get this figured out. So, Im not very happy with the fridge at the moment. I also had ordered a Viking hood, a Viking stove, a dishwasher and a microwave. The microwave is fine so far. The range and dishwasher, I had ordered back in May, still havent received them.

When I did my home over, I put in two huge Sub-Zeros, two huge, nice Vikings, Viking microwaves and everything. I was very happy except one of my Viking ovens was having issues from the beginning. I ended up having to put a few thousand dollars into it. I almost had a fire issue and it was just time to go. I wanted a new range. My husband said that they’re expensive and he’d get it for me. When it was my birthday, he asked me if I wanted a range or jewelry. I got a Viking range. The first time I turned it on, the convection broiler wasn’t working. Every time I turned the oven on, it sounded like there was a train in the house for two hours while the stuff was cooking. It was just this loud, loud noise. I called right away for service. They sent someone down and he said he was gonna change a part. I told him I was not ready to change any parts. The last time I started changing parts, the oven broke on me. If I bought a refurbished piece, I have no problem for changing parts, but when I bought a brand new piece, I don’t wanna have to start dealing right away with parts that are changing. It was just not fair.He started telling me, “Yeah, whatever.” When they came down again for service, he told me three new parts have to be changed. I called the company where I bought the stove from and told them, I don’t want this range. And if it means paying more and getting a different model, I would like to do that. First they started telling me, “Maybe don’t take a Viking.” I said, “Yeah, but my other appliances are Viking. I want it to match. I’m ready to pay extra to get a higher model. I don’t care, but I don’t want this piece in my home. It’s causing problems. It could cause a fire. I don’t want it.”I could barely walk as I just had a knee replacement. And this is what I’m doing in order to recover. I’m worrying that if the thing goes up in flames, I won’t be able to get out of my house. And altogether, I’m so pissed because this was my gift. I would’ve bought a refurbished piece. I put a brand new piece from day one. I called them before 30 days. I want it out and I want a new piece in my home. Even the people I bought it from at Drimmers said, “We’re calling, and we understand, and we see that you have bought, in the past, Vikings. We understand that you’re not trying anything. Let them take it back.” They were calling for me also and were not getting through to anyone. Vikings didn’t call them back.I called Viking directly. They asked me why was I calling and not the person I bought it from. I said, “Because when they called, you guys told them that there’s nothing you could do. What does that mean, there’s nothing you could do? I bought a brand new piece.” I told them I would like to speak to the manager directly. They said she was not in and someone would call me back within the next 48 hours. I did not receive a call back even. I had to call back again to find out what was going on. Before I purchased my piece now, I would’ve recommended them, and that’s why I was purchasing it again. But right now, I wouldn’t recommend it just because I don’t know if I would want any of my friends to go through what I’m going through now. I’m very, very upset. Im very dissatisfied.

Since my remodeling still going on and we have to call warranty and for the range of this price, this should be better. Some materials that are used for burners make it really impossible to clean including the griddle. But my favorite feature is how much room it has on the top.I bought the blower, the range, the microwave, the dishwasher and the refrigerator from Best Buy so, it’s pretty close to a $30,000 on the Viking products. But I could not get my products delivered. I paid for Everything was paid for and they got me a few items delivered. But the freezer was scratched and theres no one to talk to. That guy who was taking care of me at Best Buy left.Stove was nowhere to be found. I called the store and left messages, nobody answered. The people on the phone promised me to call me back all the time. Finally, I went into the store. They told me to stop by the following week and I did that again because I can’t get anybody on the phone every time I call. I tried to get on some guy, they looked for it, then three days after that, they finally delivered the range. It showed it was backordered, tracked it down that they arrived in Denver three weeks ago and it was sitting in a warehouse somewhere. It was a horrible experience.Think thrice because there’s Sub-Zero brand that is totally competitive and just go with them, that’s all [unclear 0:06:54] makes no sense to spend 50 grand with this kind of service or this kind of follow-up.

I have owned Viking for the last 15 years, in 4 different homes. One of my kitchens is a full suite of Viking appliances, with a 48 range oven. In the past 5 years Ive moved three times, and each move I purchased a Viking range, to make me feel like home. Over the course of the last 5 years, I was able to experience the changes, primarily changes to cut costs, but the warranty was 3 years, something that Viking was very proud of. So, I continued to purchase with confidence. In May of 2014, I purchased a range with a 5-year warranty, which remained at my old address. My last range purchase was Oct. 2017, which I believed to have the normal 3-year warranty. I had to change the oven fan last year, which is an ongoing problem with Viking. There are also ongoing issues with their oven doors and grates, which prompted my call to Viking customer service today. I wanted to schedule service for the continuous problem with the fan, the oven door which does not close properly, discoloration on the stainless lip that meets the burners, unsafe oven racks. The customer rep that took my call, was rude and told me my warranty was expired. I told her my range is less than 2 years old. I was shocked when I learned that my warranty was up, and with her rudeness and dismissiveness. She told me that Viking changed the warranty program and that I should read my manual. I then called the company I purchased from and they confirmed the 1-year warranty and that I should have read my warranty before purchase.I feel as though Viking has been dishonest with customers who are repeat customers and familiar with them. There was no way for me to know about this change unless the salesperson made me aware of it, and they may have not known themselves. At the time of this purchase for the range or for any purchase of any appliance, which I have bought my fair share of, I have never been given manuals to read before purchase. Ive always relied on my experience with products, companies and salespeople. This is disappointing as I have nowhere to go and this point, no one ever contacted me with perhaps purchasing an extended warranty either. Im confident that Im not the only consumer whos experienced this surprise in the last 2 years. And Im also confident that customers whove spent well over 30K in repeat business would be treated better than a buyer beware clause.

When we came in, the refrigerator was brand-new, but the ice maker wasnt making any ice. We thought it was still under warranty, then it wasnt because the warranty started when the builder finished the property, and we purchased it eight months later, then we came in several months after that, so it had been over a year. But then, Viking went ahead and sent someone out and fixed it. They said to make sure that its on vacation mode and the levers up for the ice so we did that. We were there during the summer and we came back for Thanksgiving and it was not working again. It was apparently something a little bit more major. But I love its double doors and where the freezer is at the bottom, and then it has the little buttons on the side with all the temperatures control. We also had a bit of an issue with the dishwasher too. But that was fixed. Were just waiting on a part. Overall, were very satisfied with Viking.

There was a technical issue with our Viking that led to it being replaced. It was an older model that had a very unfortunate habit of freezing over the freezer at the bottom. The customer service was quite good. My wife contacted a US service representative who referred us to a local repair person who came to our house and assessed the issue. Being that this was something that was recognized as Viking and something that warranted a replacement, he reached out to a Canadian representative who emailed us and spoke to my wife. We then signed a contract and an NDA and they replaced the refrigerator. So far, the freezing at the bottom hasnt happened with the new unit. It functions well.

This pertains to Viking microwave RDMOR200SST over the range unit. Purchased 12/12/13, installed 12/26/13, broken 1/18/14, lasted less than a month. Being in the HVAC field, Im very familiar with many brands, reputable and not so reputable. I recently read a tech article about Vikings new owner (CEO) and it seemed very promising. Boy was I wrong and he has a quality control/customer service nightmare on his hands. I have dealt with many companies in the field and this is without a doubt the worst. $650.00 microwave and the micro switches I found in this unit I would not have used in my daughters $5 toy. Youre probably saying, Why did you fix this yourself, you voided the warranty. Have you ever seen some of these morons they call appliance repairmen? Believe me, I have and I wouldnt trust 95% of them. Problem - wife shut the door and the micro circuit tripped, reset, breaker held but the micro was dead. Dissembled (only takes 2 minutes) and noticed 4 micro switches mounted on a cheap plastic rack, one of the switches the plunger was stuck in the down position. Upon inspection, the contact of the switch was welded together. These switches are rated at 16 amps, there is absolutely no way this switch holds 16 amps, no way. This is a fire hazard and a design defect. I removed all four switches and replaced with Ormon micro switches and NO THEY ARE NOT MADE IN CHINA , they are made in Japan. If I would have had warranty service tech perform this, they would have used the same cheap factory switches and the problem would have been reoccurring and caused more damage to the unit. For all of you do-it-yourselfers out there, change all of these switches out with quality ones. This will solve the majority of your issues with this unit.

Our Viking range has racks that are impossible to pull out. In our other home, our GE Monogram has beautiful ball-bearing shelves that glide fully in or out with ease. The Viking fridge has shelves and compartments that are all cracked, even though its pretty new. It beeps once in a while for no apparent reason (the door is CLOSED! ); its slow to make ice, and has no ice or water through the door. Seriously? However, Pacific Appliance, the dealer, should stop using third party people. It was a floor model and it didnt come with a manual. I had to download everything. The guy told us that we should just go on YouTube and learn how to adjust the doors ourselves, and thats why we had to call an actual Viking person to help us out. Even though it was a floor model, they still went ahead and replaced the ice maker just to make sure thats working perfectly and the fridge has been working perfectly since.

I like the reputation of the Viking refrigerator, and I like that they didnt have an ice dispenser on the door. So far, Ive had some issues, but they quickly repaired it. The fridge has been great except for this freezer function thing. It was kind of upsetting considering how much money the refrigerator cost. You think theyd work that out before it got to me. I would recommend it, but Id tell others about the icemaker issue. Other than that, the Viking looks amazing and the overall quality is great. I like the metal functions. The inside of the doors are not plastic so they’re cleaner. What I like the most is that somehow my food lasts longer. All the organic stuff that I normally buy spoils really quickly in my old refrigerator. On this one, they seem to last much longer.

My Viking double drawer under counter refrigerator is fantastic. The unit itself feels of super strength quality. The temperature is always spot on even with the abuse of my 4 children going in and out for drinks. We love the LED interior lighting and heavy duty door rails on the drawers. We also love our Viking dishwasher. It is very quiet and has a spotless wash. Viking truly the heart of our kitchen. Thank you!

Where to start? Purchased in 2003. First time it was used temp went from 0 to 600 degrees. Damaged racks which they replaced. Nothing but problems. They kept sending Frick and Frack out to repair and they did more damage. I complained to Viking. I have all documentation. Last straw was when I did the self-cleaning on Super Bowl Sunday. It blew the circuit breakers and damaged the main control panel which we had to replace and we were without electricity for 14 hours. We have contacted Viking and they were going to review our case and get back to us--so far we havent heard from them. My husband faxed a long letter listing all the problems plus all the work orders. We want this oven out of our home. My husband said it is too dangerous to have in the house. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing our Viking Appliances. Do not buy Viking. Once they have your money--good bye.

Viking was supposed to be a quality brand. Ive had the range for a year now and its not properly working. Ive had to have repairman after repairman in and out of my home and the problem is still not resolved 100% so its a bit of an issue. After nine months of not working properly, they decided to replace the whole range. And now, the parts that I had purchased that are supposed to fit the same year dont fit because a piece of it is warped. We finally got the other oven working because I didnt have both sides working for a whole year. And now that we finally got it working, the griddle that they replaced it with is warped. They had someone come out and look at it and it needed to be replaced. But Vikings saying that he didnt say that it was warped when I was standing right there and he did say it. They said that theyre not replacing it basically. So now, I have a warped griddle that I cant cover.I thought I was buying a luxury piece of equipment for my home and now its just been one thing after another and no ones been helpful. I havent heard from them for probably two to three weeks on what theyre going to do about the warped griddle so I just have another defective piece of whatever. It would be nice if I could go back and if they would refund me and I would purchase a completely different brand so that I could get some customer service.

I had had a Viking refrigerator in my old house and I loved it. When I moved into my new house, I didnt look into anything else. I wanted a Viking. I like the size of it, the way its a side-by-side opening door and its a refrigerator on top and the freezer at the bottom. I also like the dependability and it’s quite easy to operate. When the power goes out, its so easy to reset it.My experience with Ferguson which sold me the refrigerator was not great, though. I told the guy who delivered it, “The light in the freezer doesnt work. You shouldnt leave unless you can make it work.” He told me, Youre gonna have to call service for that.” I was not happy with that service but the service guy who came out was great. He let me know before he was making sure that I was at home. He was very efficient when he was in my house. I was very happy and I’ll buy another Viking again. Its a great quality product that’s very dependable.

We like the looks of the Viking Range and what it offered, with the double-oven feature as the favorite. We didn’t realize it had the light-up feature on the knob and its a nice little touch. We also like all the burner space. Plus, I feel very good about its quality. It’s a good product and we’re very pleased with it, so far.

The exterior view of the Viking Refrigerator matched my oven which is the main reason I bought it. But for what we paid for, I expected better workmanship and service. I like the temperature control in the meat and chill area which I can adjust to whatever I am storing there. The guys at the Viking dealer were good and helpful. But Viking people are hard to get ahold of. I called Viking today and was on hold for 20 minutes and nobody answered. They sent me the wrong parts on the refrigerator, too. I like the industrial look of the refrigerator but wasnt happy with Vikings customer service.

Our GE refrigerator doesnt have as good as the quality that we expected for the price. The worst part is I cant really get it cleaned. I follow the instructions as to how to get that stainless cleaned and it doesnt do what the manual tells me. It doesnt really look like I would want it to look, which is to look uniform. It doesnt come out even and the surface is so bad to clean that I keep those fiberglass things so that when I open and close the doors, I dont have to do the handles constantly. And the other thing which we didnt know when we purchased it was we just assumed it had an ice maker and it doesnt have an ice maker.
