Viking was recommended to me. Everything seems to be good so far with our refrigerator. I like its unique system about the vacuum pressure in it. The design’s fine. I’ve owned Marvel, and I’ve owned Viking, and another one. Theyre all good but this Viking is a more modern one than what I’ve had in the past. The quality is so far, so good.

The Viking refrigerator is less than a year old, but its had more than a few issues. The refrigerator froze itself up and needed a week to thaw out. Then its been up and running for a week. Now, the icemaker isnt working. So, for the second time in two weeks, I needed to have a repair guy come out here to repair an $11,000 refrigerator. The Viking team has been great though. But I wouldnt buy their refrigerator again.

If you have invested in a Viking Oven or Range - you know that it is just that - an INVESTMENT. Or at least it is supposed to be. A $7,000 oven should not have any issues, not at 1 year or even at 5 years, frankly, with nothing but normal domestic use. I understand that the warranty is expired - and we didnt expect a completely free solution. Admittedly, I am severely disappointed that a name like this doesnt stand behind the product for ten years! Our expectation was that the company could at least have a certified service technician it recommends - at a reasonable Viking supported rate. Not referring us to a technician that costs $200 JUST to come out and look at the oven - not even DO anything!? They are viking certified and cant tell over the phone if there is any common problems - of course - it will be $200 to come out for what will probably take 10 minutes. Then there will be the time to order a part and then come back out at $50 per 30 minutes for labor. The reason we spend more up front on quality is to not have these issues. Its a shame that as I look online I see this Name is now riding on a reputation they no longer uphold. I see countless complaints about quality - and Viking is no different than ikea as far as standing by a product. Shameful.

I went from electric to gas with the Viking range. Aside from wanting gas, I liked the looks of it and the knobs. Theyre big and theyre easy to use. I like the sliding rack too but they should have two of them in there and not just one. Also, when we got the range home, the convection oven did not work. I didnt know it for a while because I didnt use it. But Viking was really prompt about getting it taken care of and getting a man out here to fix it. Ive had it for a couple of months now and everything has been great so far. We also bought the microwave and the convection on it didnt work. Because Viking dropped the ball on that one, they just ordered us a new one and sent it out instead of having the microwave repaired. Theyve taken care of us really good.

Viking has a long history, good quality, and beauty, so we decided to get a range, and it is superb and beautiful. My wife is in love with it, so’ I’m very jealous of it. We like how it cooks. It’s so even, and it doesn’t need much gas on it. So, it’s a very nice cooking experience. I’m very satisfied with the range. However, I would like to add a thermometer in the oven because we don’t know what the temperature is. We had an electric oven before, and we set it up to a certain temperature and that will do it. However, it is a different experience with gas. So, I dont see a reason why they shouldnt put a thermometer on it. Other than that, the range is very good. And their representatives were wonderful and supportive.

We have a Viking stove and an oven as well. Then, we were shopping around for a new stove and we really liked our Viking stove. They stopped selling Viking up here in Canada and when we bought the stove, it was just at the point when Viking lost that trademark. We were looking for a stove that didn’t have a lot of sort of electronics but would be really a good gas stove. It’s an electric oven and that would stand the test of time. The salesperson really highly recommended the stove and she was right. We love it. Then, when it came time to replace our fridge, we just naturally leaned towards looking for a fridge that had the same quality. We were lucked out that the timing was such that they started selling Viking again here in Canada.I love the icemaker that’s in the pullout drawer. We didn’t think we wanted any kind of an icemaker or a water dispenser but this one came with the ice dispenser inside and we love that. We use it all the time. And I love the layout of the drawers on the inside, the flexibility with being able to move the shelves around. I love that the shelves are glass. They’re clear so I can see through into them. Also, there are lots of space in the bottom and there’s like a pullout temperature control drawer that holds lots and lots of fruits and vegetables in there. They’re smartly designed and its a really nice fridge. One thing that would be great would be if it was easier for us to get our hands on the replacement water filters and the air filters. Its a little bit of a challenge. They have to get ordered from the States and then they go to the appliance store. It takes a long time. Other than that, I would highly recommend Viking.

We met with the district sales manager of Viking Refrigerators and it was a great meeting. We switched from Dacor and purchased from them. But when the first appliance that we bought came though, I sent him an email with pictures of the problem and never heard one word. Weve had trouble with the refrigerator and with the oven, and now we’ve got a service call in for the dishwasher, and it hasnt been a great experience. Our interaction with the customer service reps has been a disaster and they handled the situation poorly. I was spending 20,000 bucks and I wanted to get the issues resolved, and I didnt have time to mess with them. So, we went right to the retailer, Abt, and we dealt with them and they responded very promptly. The Viking product is great but getting it here in one piece is the issue. Were very satisfied with the final results, but there was no response from Viking from May until now to get the issues resolved. On the other hand, Abt was great and Id go to them any day of the week. But dont go to Viking.

I spent over $20,000.00 on a complete Viking appliance replacement for 15-year-old Whirlpool Gold appliances. Most expensive mistake I ever made. The dishwasher does not dry the dishes at all and the inside of the dishwasher is always wet after a cycle. The refrigerator is very noisy and the condenser fan is louder than a jet engine when running on full. Freezer items have frost on them and I can only hope it does not break down in the near future. The convection microwave does not even pop popcorn correctly (or at all) unless bag is placed on a bowl turned upside down? Convection cooktop seems to be working okay as does the oven thus far. I have had several repair calls on the refrigerator with no repairs. One repair person indicated it was supposed to be loud. Do yourself a favor and buy Kenmore Elite or something else besides Viking for 1/3 the cost and 100 times better quality. I want my Whirlpool Gold back (as well as my $20,000.00). Viking needs to wake up before they go out of business. Is there a lemon law for appliances. These are all appliance purchased in late 2013 and I am already looking to replace them all.

Bottom freezer floor has 1/2 of frozen ice. Bottom of refrigerator leaks all over wooden floor which is now ruined. Had nothing but problems with this refrigerator from day one. Dont buy a Viking product ever! Dont know what to do at this point. Any suggestions? Can it be fixed? Is it worth trying to fix if possible? Need someones help!

Less than five months ago I purchased all new appliances for my kitchen. I wanted a reputable brand that would last for years to come. Viking is a name you hear and immediately think high-end. Their appliances fit my style perfectly, simple yet classy-looking, so I took the plunge and ordered myself an entire Viking kitchen, not a cheap decision but my kitchen is MY space, so I splurged.My stainless steel refrigerator (double door on top, pull-out freezer on bottom) has been constant problems for me. Im actually not fond of any of my appliances but the others have been overlooked due to such shockingly poor quality of my refrigerator. First, the ice machine works completely randomly... one day a full tub of ice, the next nothing. Next, in less than three months time a shelving frame has completely cracked all the way through, and there is hardly any weight on it at all. Now, the produce drawers are sagging inwards and I do not trust the shelves in the least. It seems like it is constantly something with the unit. I had hoped to love my new kitchen but now Im so upset that, for the money I spent, I do not have appliances I can be proud to show off.

I owned a Viking Range in a prior home for about 10 years. I love the range! The quality of range is good. The team at the Viking dealer has also been really good.

Just purchased a Viking refrigerator on Dec 15th 2018 and already have had to call for service. The very loud popping sound is annoying. The repairman couldnt do anything about it because it didnt make the noise while he was here (needs to know exactly where is coming from before he can make a diagnosis). I will continue to call until the problem is fix. After reading some of the reviews it looks like other problem. Does anyone know if theres a lemon law on refrigerators?

The first problem I had with my range is the oven taking forever to preheat. Then an incessant clicking began on the burners. I was lucky enough to purchase a repair contract for $65.00 for a year. They fixed the oven preheating problem and also fixed the clicking problem, but now it has began again. It is so annoying. My burners do work, but I want to scream sometimes when I am trying to use all of the burners.

We needed a range that fits so we looked around and we heard of Viking. I looked in the store and I liked the look of the range. It was 25 inches deep which was the right size for our already built kitchen. It also had the right functionality. We saw several competitors whose second oven was way too small but Viking also had two good sized ovens in a 48-inch range. Plus, we’ve been pleased with the gas cooktop. It seemed to be much more efficient than our previous gas cooktops.We used AJ Madison online and we went with them rather than locally for the speed of delivery. I want the range as soon as I could so my wife could start using the kitchen. They promised us delivery within 10 days. However, it still took 21 days. And then the problem was that they did not install at the same time of the delivery which was what I would asked them to do. So, we then had to have the range sitting on the metal screw unable to get it hooked up for nearly two weeks because they didnt install the legs properly on the range. It was potentially damaging the hardwood, and it was a truly terrible experience. The timing and the delivery experience was poor. Plus, we had to have someone come in and install the range instead. We were better off going with the local company after all.There were other problems when it was installed like, aesthetically, the dials on the front of the range were not level, so they were all over the place. Another thing was the part hooked to the range underneath the oven was bent and so we had to have a replacement ordered. The oven doors were not level and they sloped off it that those in the left don’t want to slide down to the left. The right won’t slide down to the right. Also, within the oven, there was lots of the kind of ceramic coating that had already chipped off. So, we are having a replacement in the interior of the oven as well. We got to the point where we were wiping sharp ceramic shards. It has been three weeks now since we had the Viking technician out to look at the range and I’ve had no communication when they are going to come and fix it. I contacted Viking two times trying to find someone who could help me install. It also took a week dealing with the Viking reps to get them to have a wise conversation. I found Viking to be very unresponsive. So I like the range itself and the quality would be very cool but it was awful for a $12,000 range. It has not been a great experience all way around.

Everything was great with Viking. This range is our first purchase from them and I feel that the quality of it is great. I like its built-in griddle. The Viking dealer was also good and quite nice. It was a wonderful experience overall.

After 20 years in our home, we finally were able to build my dream kitchen with Viking Professional appliances. Weve had multiple problems with the oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Both sides of the oven have broken and the igniters break from time-to-time, too. The repairman told me I wasnt turning it on properly. What? After calling him back several times, Viking finally agreed to replace it. The repairman tells me not to get the igniters wet. Ok, I got it. I dont do it. Its not me! The ice maker in the freezer is horrible. The water line freezes all the time. Weve replaced the ice maker, added something to the unit to keep the water circulating, and not the water overfills. What a freaking mess it makes. The dishwasher is the worst ever made. It may or may not turn off. The repairman says to open it and let it dry out. Ok, but that doesnt work either. I wont even use it anymore. Viking Professional is terrible and has ruined my dream kitchen. :(

I have owned a Viking refrigerator for a year now and it has been one of the worst appliances Ive ever owned, aside from its matching range and oven. Both appliances were broken and needed repairs within 4 months of ownership. Neither are considerably reliable. I will not be purchasing Viking appliances again in the future.

I wanted to make sure everything matched for my wife and that my wife enjoyed it, and that it would look fine in the house that we live in, so we bought our appliances from Viking. I liked their stove and I was hoping that theirs would be better products than the other products right now. So far, nothing has broken down. I like my appliances, and everything I bought is great and excellent. At the Viking dealer, one of the salesmen helped me and as we were talking, the manager came up and then I was talking to him. They were really polite and kind and courteous. I appreciated that he took his time to explain things to me the things I would ask him about (like the warranty). Then he set up the delivery date and everything came out on time. Everything was fine. I have nothing bad to say about the people that helped me there or my whole experience with Viking. They were wonderful.

The quality of the Viking Range is fantastic. I already have one and I wanted another one. I like the light above the knobs. Its pretty awesome. I dont have it on my old one, but we just got the new one. The customer service at the designer show has been really good, too. However, we have had a problem with the oven temperature. Ive had a technician come out and it wasnt resolved the first time so Im waiting for them to call me back and see if they can resolve the issue. It would also be nice if there was more information on troubleshooting oven temperature for owners, if thats possible, or just a little bit more explanation on how the ovens work and how theyre a little quirky. Nevertheless, its such a beautifully made stove. The racks didnt slide out. Its a great piece of equipment.

The door does not shut properly and the racks inside are not easily moved in and out of the oven. The racks just scrape the lips they sit on. For the oven to keep the consistent temperature the oven constantly audibly relights when baking. I wish I had bought a Thermador.

I see Viking in other peoples homes, and I got them because I thought the quality was good and they were kind of upper-end. However, the quality is not what I thought it was. We have the whole suite -- we have the refrigerator, a 36-inch freezer, a 48-inch stove, two dishwashers and a microwave. The fridge is fine and I like the size of it. However, I’m surprised at how poorly the others were built. We ended up having to get six dishwashers in total because four of them were bad. The other two, we finally said we were sick of being without a dishwasher, so we just accepted the poor quality. The stainless steel is thin, and it was dented on the front. The drawers on the side were broken, and we ended up having to pay shipping on it because Viking wouldn’t warranty it.

I bought a Viking range from a developer. Im confused by the contraction noise that I hear when I put the oven on, but other than that, the unit is great. I would recommend Viking Ranges.

Got on this website to see if others have had issues with Viking Refrigerators. Our house came with a Viking Pro, but it had so many problems. Viking sold us a newer one at a discount. Now, the replacement is doing the same things - erratic temperatures, spoiling food, alarm goes off, constant calls for repairs (and expense) - such that we have not been able to use it for months. Thank God for an over 25 year old Hotpoint fridge that we have had in our garages in several homes across the country but has never has had a problem. I can see that others have had issues and while I am glad to learn that, I am at a loss as to why a company that once had, I thought, a good reputation, is not seriously concerned and doing something about it. Is the company going under?

WARNING!! YOU ARE ABOUT TO MAKE THE WORST DECISION OF YOUR LIFE IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY A VIKING APPLIANCE!! Keep reading: DO NOT waste your money!! We had a KitchenAid range/oven that lasted for years. Got tired of its look and decided to spend a lot more to show off our brand new renovated kitchen. So we went with Viking – possibly the worst mistake of my life! For starters the rubber feet on the top grates kept falling off. Then the oven racks stopped sliding followed by the electronic ignition never going off after the burner was started. Made a huge stink at PC Richard and they finally got Viking to send a technician. Needless to say that sent an independent service company who only showed up TWO weeks after we opened the service call. They replaced the grates and oven shelves... which lasted only a month!!Out of stupidity I had put a deposit for an almost $10,000 order for our second home in Vermont. The salesperson at PC Richard told us the D3 series was the economy Viking line. (Seriously??? $3G for it? Could have bought 4 KitchenAid ovens!) So he recommended their top of the line. However, after getting stuck with this disastrous lemon, I canceled the order. I never believed on reviews but the self-cleaning cycle JUST stopped working. I got so mad that I decided that I will do whatever I can do, for the rest of my life, to educate consumers so they do not get trapped by Viking into believing that Viking is a state of the art, top appliance manufacturer. WRONG!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! DO SOME RESEARCH ONLINE. FIND A GOOD MANUFACTURER BUT NEVER, NEVER IN YOUR LIFE BUY VIKING.UPDATED ON 08/31/2016: This is a follow up after I posted a complaint here. After posting the complaint they were very quick to email me (customer service support supervisor Juanita **). An independent technician fully evaluated the Viking appliance and made a list of items that needed to be replaced. The list is 5 rows long - that by itself says a lot about the range. The technician was excellent in explaining everything to us. Upon his departure he said that Viking will need to approve the parts or decide to replace the range. This was on august 10, 2016. Today, three weeks have passed and... not a word from Viking. I called the service company and... Surprise!!!! Viking has not even responded to their request. So here is another important piece of information. Be aware!! They claim excellent service... Well you are for a big, big surprise. As big as the one you are going to get once you buy a Viking appliance. No matter which type, not matter where. Horrible company. Save your hard earned money and certainly dont spend it on a piece of garbage like it.

We like the quality and the features of the Viking range. We worked with a local dealer to purchase one and everything kind of worked as advertised. Weve had our range since November and the quality is very good. I like the way the burners work. However, it is difficult to adjust and calibrate the oven. It seems like the temperature is off on the oven and there’s no information in the instruction book on how to do that. Also, I didnt know that they were gonna change the range. I should have done some more homework as a consumer. The oven is not very deep, too, which is a disappointment. Still, these are just a couple of minor negatives. In general, we’re very pleased with our Viking range.

I had to call for maintenance right away because the fridge froze up. The icemaker wasnt working and the refrigerator wasnt cooling. We called a repair guy who had to order a part. It took about a month to get it working and its okay now.

I wanted the Viking Ranges look and also wanted it for the resale value. Everybody says Viking is top of the line but its beat up and cheap. The quality was not as I expected. Ive had one for over a year now and am disappointed because Ive had cosmetic issues with it though the repairs have been great. I also have had troubles with the handles turning off. The knobs are hitting the screws that hold it going to the front panel so then I’ve got a really loud rattle with the exhaust fan. Its amazing when it cools down and the skillet pans rattling on it. It gets so loud it disrupts conversations. Luckily, its still under warranty and they’re gonna take care of it when they come back.Apart from that, I like the way it performs. It cooks well. Also, the whole customer service experience was overwhelming but was better than expected. I was doing a DIY project and had issues with the cabinets so it took a long time to get the range unpacked and installed. But they treated me very well. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my Viking experience.

Viking stove VES3064BSS electric 4 burner - Is anyone having problems with burning food? My oven runs really hot. I have to adjust the temperature and the time on all the things I put into the oven and its still over cooking my food. I had a repair man in for my dishwasher and he checked it and said it could be the hinges and also checked the temperature in my oven and it runs way over what the temperature is supposed to be. I feel the same as others, Viking does not back their product. I love to cook and bake and this stove has been a disappointment!

I have a six burner double oven range. It is 6 years old and is a piece of junk---the temps are off and at Thanksgiving last year the back of the thing started on fire... Now the igniters wont stop clicking. What a mess. Viking--no help-- no interest in helping but I can get a discount on a new one. Stay away from this company. Their product is garbage.

In our kitchen, we have a Viking cooktop and a Viking dishwasher. So, when we moved into this house, we decided to go with Viking to complete the set and for the quality. I purchased a Viking Series 5 built-in refrigerator through Best Buy. It was delivered and installed, and it was working fine for about two days. Then, one of the hinges seemed to have broken on the door. I went back to Best Buy and told them about it. They said they would order a new one and have it delivered, take the old one and send it back. This was about six weeks ago and the new one was supposed to show up yesterday. I got a phone call in the morning saying that it was not gonna show up. Its been quite frustrating to call me the day its supposed to arrive and tell me that it was not gonna come. They scheduled a day that it might come which is for August 28th but I got three different emails, which all say 28th, 29th, and 31st. So, I dont know what day its actually coming at this point.Originally, I thought it was only gonna be five weeks. So, they offered for me to purchase a substitute refrigerator until the other one came in and I could return the substitute at a later time. If it was gonna be another five weeks, we can live with it but the door thing has been getting progressively worse to the point where Im the only one in the house that can shut it. Its a 48-inch refrigerator, so its a heavy door. You can lift the door up to get it to shut and it seals once its shut. Also, to add insult to injury, when you pull the door down of the Viking dishwasher, theres a rubbing noise and you have to sort of push it a little. So, Ive been trying to call the appliance vendor that we got that through, but I cant get a call back from them. When Viking works, it’s great. But when there’s an issue, it can’t get resolved. And Best Buy is throwing Viking under the bus saying that they were the ones who didnt deliver it.

We bought our Viking refrigerator through Best Buy’s Big Sale. The quality is good and it looks good too.

Viking is a very reputable and a very fine company. I bought one of their ranges and its a fine product. But they had to replace it because there was a problem with the enamel and the oven breaking down. And they’ve been very good in standing by their warranty. When I submitted the claim, I got their phone number and I corresponded with a wonderful person who was in charge of that. She helped me and I had to send pictures to approve the issues. Then they had a person who came out and examined the range. After that, they exchanged it. The process took a week or so and it was very quick. Other than that, my Viking range is wonderful and it works very well. It has really nice features, too. Plus, it’s electric and I really enjoy it. My son is a chef but he would never cook on electric and he razes me about it all the time.

Everything is fantastic with my Viking range. The brand was associated with high-end quality, durability and functionality and I wasnt misled, thats for sure. I really liked the fact that it seems like a commercial kitchen, but yet there are some modern aspects to it. It works how I want it to work. While I dont anticipate purchasing another one anytime soon, I have no doubts that if I ever needed another range, I would be coming back to Viking.

We bought our Viking oven 4 1/2 years ago because I like to cook and wanted an oven that could stand up to that. Sadly, I have been very disappointed with the oven. From the beginning I noticed that the knobs on the front of the oven would get almost too hot to touch whenever I had the oven on over 400 degrees for a length of time. Two weeks ago the oven broke. We had to replace the DSI control panel at a cost of almost $700. The oven worked for one day and then broke again. Im now told I will have to wait 2 months for another DSI control panel to become available and I cant be certain that is even going to fix the problem. When I told the repairman I would never again buy a Viking, he said I should have bought a Wolf because he repairs about 10x as many Vikings as he does Wolf ovens. Wish I had known...

My wife wanted Viking for everything so she bought a Viking refrigerator. The Viking dealer we worked with was great. Weve used them before for years. The quality of the refrigerator was fine until it got messed up and then Viking fixed and took care of it and Im happy. Everything is doing what its supposed to be doing.

Viking products have been in my family for as long as I can remember. I found the right size fridge for what I wanted to do from Viking and I went to the dealer and bought it. I was pleased with the delivery and installation. It’s an extremely large refrigerator and it’s not the easiest thing to move around. The quality of the refrigerator is also fine. It’s a high-end unit and its cold. Viking Refrigerators last forever.

Our cabinet maker thought that Viking was a good product and I bought my Viking appliances though him. I went to a mobile Viking showroom event and looked at all the Viking appliances for a new home. And if I did my whole kitchen in Viking, they would double the warranty. Instead of having the three-year warranty, it came with a six-year warranty. It was a great deal especially considering that Ive had to have them come out repeatedly to fix things that’s been wrong with the appliances. Apparently, the quality of Viking has gone down considerably in the last several years and I hadnt realized that. Ive got two refrigerators and the parts are just cheaply made. One of them was delivered totally damaged. The shelving does not stay in place. The drawers don’t function properly and the components bend too easily. The refrigerators are less than two years old and half of the parts in each one of them are bent, have totally fallen out or had to be replaced several times already. It’s very poor quality.When they installed the dishwasher, they didn’t put the bottom plate on the dishwasher correctly. Some of the parts have fallen out of it as well. They’ve also had to come out several times and fix the valves in the dishwasher. But the worst is the range, which has never functioned properly. It’s terrible considering I now have $40,000 worth of useless appliances in my home.The person that I contacted to get warranty service was extremely helpful and walked me through the process of getting everything registered. The problem was that they did not want to honor the double warranty on my appliances. Luckily, I had saved the original invoice and was able to forward it to them so that they could put into my record that it was covered for six years. Ive told everybody that Ive come in contact with to stay away from Viking, which is sad because my husband is a home builder. We could sell tons of Viking appliances. But we buy all of the appliances for the homes that we build from Ferguson here in Raleigh and they have quit carrying the Viking appliances because they have so many problems with them. Plus I will never have another thing that’s Viking in my home. It’s terrible. We’ve had problems with everything Viking.

Weve been a little disappointed in the quality of our Viking range top and the noise of the fans. But otherwise, the operation has been good.

Where to start? Purchased in 2003. First time it was used temp went from 0 to 600 degrees. Damaged racks which they replaced. Nothing but problems. They kept sending Frick and Frack out to repair and they did more damage. I complained to Viking. I have all documentation. Last straw was when I did the self-cleaning on Super Bowl Sunday. It blew the circuit breakers and damaged the main control panel which we had to replace and we were without electricity for 14 hours. We have contacted Viking and they were going to review our case and get back to us--so far we havent heard from them. My husband faxed a long letter listing all the problems plus all the work orders. We want this oven out of our home. My husband said it is too dangerous to have in the house. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing our Viking Appliances. Do not buy Viking. Once they have your money--good bye.

We purchased a VCRB536 Refridgerator and separate matching freezer for a kitchen remodel. Our Subzero 532 was operating perfectly although it was over 20 years old. The Viking door hinge spring broke, maybe $ 1000 to replace a $ 10 spring. Warranty coverage was denied. Now, the door bins are falling apart. Nothing heavy in them, but the ALL METAL door bins have plastic end caps that are cracking. Now I need to be careful the door doesnt fall off, but also watch the bins and contents falling when I open the door. Im very disappointing in this product and lack of support.

My previous range was also a Viking, when I went to replace I looked at a number of different models and ended up with another Viking. Love the range. The only issue is that the burners aren’t sealed so it difficult to clean.

I have several friends who have Viking Ranges and they all have raved about it. I use it often at their lake houses, vacation homes, and homes. I purchased mine from Elite Appliances in Dallas and my personal contact was Jeff. He was the most responsive vendor I’ve ever worked with. He would follow up on a regular basis via email, phone call, and text messaging. I was very impressed with him. He really took me on as a very personal customer and he was very good about understanding what I really needed. I was buying five or six different Viking pieces which was a big order that I’m sure was small to him. The product quality is exceptional and the range itself is very sturdy and more commercial like.

Viking makes a professional line of stoves that are great for a home kitchen. You can cook using large pots, grill, have a convection oven, etc. I love the variation of btus for the burners. They have a large selection of stove and drop-in stovetops to choose from and they are built in the United States.

This morning my Viking range turned on by itself. I researched and found that there is a voluntary recall by Viking for this exact problem, but when I called I was told that my model was not covered under the voluntary recall, so they would not send me the repair kit. Instead they told me to contact an authorized repair service. While in the phone with Viking, my oven turned on by itself four more times. My oven is now unplugged and we have disconnected the gas line. I am extremely nervous about this issue. My model is the 307 series. Covered under the recall is the 306 and 308 series, among others. Does this make sense? No. In addition to this problem, we have had to replace the glass seal, hinges and oven igniters. We also purchased a Viking microwave which broke within the first 13 months. Very unhappy. Should have purchased a Wolf.

We love Viking and weve always wanted one due to their reputation. Weve had two ranges thus far, one in Sag Harbor thats 10 years old and one bought more recently in Michigan. Our Viking ranges cook well and thus far, the grill on top has been our favorite feature. Its convenient in the wintertime when we can use it instead of going outside.

We purchased a 30 Viking range. It is all gas. We have experienced extremely hot wall tile directly above grate that lines the back edge of range when gas oven is on. Water droplets run down the tile for first few minutes of preheating. I am worried to use the oven since tiles at back get very hot. I rarely use oven and we spent so much money to purchase Viking. Also there was a recall on a oven part and we had Viking service is already 3 times. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

We moved into a new house and we got an upgraded stove from the builder’s stove and it was falling apart. The knobs were falling off and one couldn’t control the height of the flame so that got me looking for another stove. My wife’s sister purchased a Viking Range a couple of months ago and I also decided to buy one. We had some problems about purchasing in the beginning but it all worked out. My wife loves our 36-inch Viking Range. I feel good that it’s in the house and it gives some class to the kitchen. I would recommend Viking Ranges.

The dealer I was buying from was having a weekend event and they had reps from different appliance companies. I didnt want the typical LG or any of the regular brands like GE Profile or KitchenAid. I had KitchenAid gas range before and I wasnt happy with it because the burner wasnt totally heating. It had a little gap, so I had to keep turning whatever I was cooking so it would cook evenly. I also had a GE refrigerator and that was awful. This time, I wanted something higher-end and so we decided to go with Viking.Also, Viking was still more affordable. I purchased a whole kitchen and all my appliances are now Viking. It looks great and it’s definitely high-end. The range definitely cooks evenly and Im happy with it. The stovetop has been my favorite feature as well. Overall, one can tell the quality of Viking just in cooling down the stove or the oven door. I can feel the quality compared to the other standard brands.

Vikings price point was within our target range so we decided to go with them. The Viking dealer was good. The product looks cool and people think it looks cool too. The quality is fair but I’ve got some issues and I’m hopeful that those will be fixed.

Electronic control in door failed within the first year - replaced under guarantee. After 2 years water leaked because of a torn rubber door seal. At 3 and 1/2 years, while replacing another rubber door seal, discovered that the metal internal bar to which the bottom of the door attached had rusted and sealing screws no longer attached. Am completely disgusted with this supposed premium and professional dishwasher (actually, according to its back, made by Electrolux as is the Viking Pro refrigerator) - no one at Viking will discuss this, and at least one customer service person told me I was out of guarantee and out of luck.Will NEVER purchase a Viking appliance again! Their quality is suspect but the lack of customer support is evident.

A friend of ours recommended Viking Refrigerators and my husband looked at everything online and read the reviews. We purchased everything online and it went well. Everything was like how they told us. Plus, everything was here on time. The refrigerator had a lot of space, which was the one thing I was looking for. Plus, the separations are perfect. I’m really happy with what I got.

Viking had good reviews and I liked the product name. The quality of my refrigeration unit is excellent. It keeps everything fresh. I’m very satisfied with my experience with Viking, but it is too expensive. Also, BestBuy, the actual dealer, is good, but I scheduled for delivery, and they delivered on the wrong date. And then, I called them back to pick it up, and they didn’t want to. It was crazy. I told them I didn’t want it that day, but they said they wanna deliver that day because they didnt wanna come back so I told them that my house wasnt ready yet. They said they were coming back. Other than that, Viking is a good company. A valve in the refrigerator blew, and they fixed it.

Have a VCSB5482DSS which replaced a VCSB48OSS. Same problems. Its a nightmare. It leaked from a part that I had to identify then the pan constantly overflows because the heating element doesnt work to evaporate the water and the ice maker doesnt work. Viking gave me a half priced new refrigerator replacement. It was still $6000 plus. THE SAME EXACT PROBLEMS!!! NIGHTMARE. NEVER BUY A VIKING REFRIGERATOR.

I purchased my 36 dual fuel oven the summer of 2005 and had installed by mid-fall. It hasnt worked properly since the day I bought it. I threatened legal action after the first oven was installed as the the burners would not ignite and the oven would not maintain a consistent temperature. After several months of frustration and battles, they replaced the unit with a brand new one which has not worked properly since the day it was installed. For the second Christmas in a row, I have not had an oven. I have manually lit the burners for 2 years now after spending a small fortune on replacing ignition units. There has not been a six month period since the unit was installed without one or several repair calls. Viking has no interest in standing behind their products. I know several people personally that have purchased Viking products and got to the point of legal action because of their appliances not working. One in particular installed a wall oven only to have the glass melt off and fall onto her brand new kitchen floor the first time she used (thank God someone wasnt standing in front of it).

We purchased a complete Viking kitchen which included a range top, downdraft hood, a dishwasher, a Dutch oven, the refrigerator and the convection microwave. We’re satisfied with everything except for the refrigerator because every time you open the freezer, the ice overflows to the floor and I think it’s a design flaw. It doesn’t happen every single time, but the ice builds up and theres no back on the refrigerator, so it goes straight down and falls on the floor. So, somebody has to get to the floor and pick up the ice cubes. But I like the digital controls of the fridge and everything else is fine. Im very surprised about this one item and I know that LG makes their refrigerators so that may be the issue here, but I have heard only good things. I did a research because I know that previously, there were problems with the Viking refrigerators, and I was assured that that had been taken care of. It may be a minor adjustment but weve only had it set in place for three weeks, so weve been dealing with it. If it continues, then Im gonna rattle some cages.

The Viking range cooks quickly and really well. I like it. We bought it from P.C. Richard. We had a problem with the installation of the range but getting it fixed was fine.

Wow. Im glad I discovered this site. It is somewhat comforting to know that so many other people have been totally screwed by Viking CRAP. My $10,000.00 Professional refrigerator is a total joke. The produce drawers freeze everything. The inside is fragile plastic and replacing parts is a nightmare. I talked to a carpenter just today about re-configuring the cabinetry that the Viking Professional (48 X 83) is built into, and replacing it with a normal refrigerator designed for a home. I also bought a double Thermador oven and 48 cooktop. I like it, but was told by the store that the appliances were purchased from that when things start to break on the stove, I wont be able to replace any parts because Thermador has an aggressive obsolescence policy, and you cant get parts after 7 years.I will replace the cooktop with a Wolf cooktop when it finally stops working.

The third technician on the fourth trip out to visit my fridge was able to accurately diagnose the problem. The fourth technician on the fifth trip out was able to successfully repair the unit once the parts arrived after my goading to have them shipped overnight rather than the typical shipping method of bicycle messenger. I was refunded the over $500 I had paid for parts and labor, as at the end of the day it was a warranty covered issue. Since the problem did eventually get resolved to my satisfaction, I upped my star rating from a one to a three. I cant in good conscience go higher than that because it took five trips over almost two months to get to the resolution.

I came across Viking at a trade show and I liked its quality. Becky the dealer was great to work with. Her customer service and follow-up was outstanding. Overall it’s a really good refrigerator and everything is wonderful.

The Viking appliances are made to last. Between this refrigerator and my old refrigerator, for some reason, the things wouldnt last as long as they do in this Viking. The different departments and the bins in the refrigerator makes it so you can put things in different temperatures. That’s a heaven-sent. When youre a chef or you like to cook, you need things right there. You dont need to be running around the kitchen. With all those different drawers, I got the vegetables in one thing and I even have wine in one of the compartments. So, its an excellent piece of equipment. It makes cooking easier. My favorite feature of the range is the simmer. But I like the one on the right-hand side in the front because I like to cook things and get the heat high on it. You could cut up two chicken breast that might be cold and put it in there, and it would get nice and hot where it would start to brown. In a normal stove, that would not happen.If I had to do it again, I’m definitely going to be using Viking. When you want something to last and you want to pay the money for a good appliances and good equipment, Viking’s the best. When you spend the extra dollars for something, it changes your life. I was cooking on just an electric stove top and I only had four burners. So, to go from that electric stove top to my Viking, its like getting a brand new Mercedes Benz. I cant believe how easy it is for me to cook things such as baked potatoes and big rib roast. Ive cooked them all. Viking is expensive but youre paying for the quality of it. If you want the best, you got to pay a little extra, and it’s well worth it.

Viking is a good brand. Its made in the USA and we like the look and size of their refrigerators. Ours is working great so far. The temperature control is nice and the doors open and close easily. Its like a French door refrigerator, but they dont hit each other. My sister has a Sub-Zero but its doors would hit each other if they didnt close them the right way. As with ours, the doors seem to be pretty seamless, which is good. However, the freezer in our fridge is like a pull out drawer and if I pull the freezer from one side, it gets off the track a little bit. Sometimes I have to straighten it out and push it back in, which is a little weird. Also, it would be cool if there was a water dispenser inside the fridge, though Im sure Viking has that on some of their high-end refrigerators. As for the Viking dealer, their team was on-time and they answered all my questions. They were absolutely friendly and respectful as well. It was an easy experience overall.

I had Viking for 14 years and I never had a problem with it. I liked it very much and decided to go with it again. The first one I had, I liked its dependability and the way it cooked. It was a high performing stove, and I liked that. What I have now is the same model, newer, and it’s no different. I had two problems however. I ordered my Viking range and when it came, there was a gas leak in it. The Viking person could not find any smell of gas, and he thought I was crazy. I had the gas company out and they found that it was inside the stove. Then the second time, they took that stove away and gave me another one, and I had a defect in that one also. So, I’m on my third stove, but it’s finally the right one. The installation teams have been fine too.

We had a house built and installed all new Viking D3 appliances. We have had problems with every single one of them. We moved in in May 2013 and as of December, we have had the Viking repairman to our house at least 4 times. Who has time for that? Every time has been for the refrigerator and at least one other appliance. Every time we have had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food. As I write this review a few days before Christmas, the refrigerator randomly decided to stop working. Convenient now that I have a turkey and all of the other items to make Christmas dinner. I am so frustrated with this brand. After you spend the amount of money these appliances cost, you expect them to work. The authorized repair reps are idiots. Our repairman actually once told me that the refrigerator was leaking water all over the floor because we put leftovers in the refrigerator and bacteria crawled into the drain line and clogged it up. Um... what???!!! The refrigerator leaked on two different occasions and warped our wood floor. The repairman moved the refrigerator and scratched our wood floor. The oven took hours to cook anything - even a simple meatloaf. The shelves slid out once the door was open. The temperature fluctuated +/- 15 degrees. He told us that was normal or the food would burn. No. Just no. The burners on the gas range only light halfway around. The vent just stopped working. The dishwasher leaves dishes wet. I would never recommend these products to anyone. I wish I would have read these reviews first. I hope anyone that reads this decides against Viking. They are pretty, but they cost too much to have this many problems.

We’ve heard good things about Viking refrigerators and have seen them in other people’s houses. We’re happy with our refrigerator. We like how all the shelves are laid out to keep it organized. It is a good product and I would recommend them.

After I bought Viking appliances, Ive been having problems, and the products are less than two years old. In the first year, we had a problem with the dishwasher. Something went wrong. But they came out and fixed it. Then we had a problem with the refrigerator. The heater for the ice maker didnt work, so there was water pooling at the bottom and then flat out. They came and they changed the heater one time. Then a week later, the same thing, water was coming out again. They said there was some piece over there that was missing. I was disappointed. A $10,000 refrigerator, and within two years, we have problems. For products like these, it should have a longer warranty than one year. But I like it. It has all the features that I need. Its a stainless steel finish but it has a scratch. Theres a stainless steel repair kit that I have to get to polish it back to before.

I like that the Viking ranges construction and the reports that I’ve seen about it, and being six burners with an extra-large oven made it a perfect match for the kitchen. The craftsmanship of the range that I got is beautiful and everything is enclosed. It has the proper sparkers to hook up the gas and the electric. And the burners are fantastic but Viking really did a great job on the engineering of the simmer. It’s beautiful. And I like that I can take the knobs off and wash them. Theyre metal and looks like they’re gonna be there for a long time.I bought my Viking range through ABT Electronics in Chicago. And the packaging was perfect and it came perfectly protected. Their giveaway, the Viking dishwasher, also helped me with the purchase and further rebates in another order is always a nice thing to have. All in all, the Viking range is a great product. And from what I’ve seen, it is really nicely engineered with all heavy cast iron components and burners, the knobs, and the interior enforcement. I haven’t seen a product that’s like this yet and the simmer is adjustable and its really nice that I can put it up or down. The range sits off the floor, too, so I can sweep underneath.

We moved into a brand new home about four weeks ago and I think I was most excited about the Viking range. Wed worked really hard for this house and Id always viewed Viking as top drawer. What a disappointment its been. Since the day we moved in, it hasnt worked and multiple visits by Viking repair people still havent helped. Were about a hot minute from replacing it. The salesperson at our Best Buy who weve come to trust tells us that Thermador is a much better buy. So the morale to the story is buyer beware: go with quality even when it might not have the name quotient.

I wanted all my products to match so I got a Viking fridge. However, I wish that it has an internal water source. It seems like a basic thing that all the other providers have that Viking does not. I saw that they have a unit that has that, but the one I bought didnt. There was a lot of back and forth with the dealer about it and there was a miscommunication. I was told that it had an interior water source and they may have said yes because they just misunderstood. So interacting with the dealer wasnt a really good experience. Also, I wish they would have contacted me to see how things were going during installation and after installation. I tried calling them but I wasnt getting through. I think that contributed to a lot of the miscommunication because they werent picking up the phone and contacting me directly. Furthermore, my freezers broken at the moment. In terms of getting assistance to help get things fixed, it was tricky. They contacted me but they werent able to fix it. They had to call a Viking service provider and they got out and the parts are on order now. If youre thinking of buying a refrigerator from Viking, look at a different company instead.

We’ve just moved into a new build and we got to pick the appliances, and the contractor ordered everything for us. I like the fact that the Viking ranges rolling shelf that can roll in and out and I can actually adjust the height of it because a lot of ovens that I’ve seen before were fixed in a certain place. So, that’s handy and it seems to cook evenly. We like everything about it - the way it looks, the little lights that come on it, where the knobs are, and it also functions well. We’re very happy with it. Its of very good quality and its worth spending the extra money.

I liked the Viking refrigerators style and it’s a great product. When it had a little bit issue and was making noise, their technician came. They replaced the fan and it was taken care of.

I heard about Viking over the years being quality, so I was excited when I could finally get my own. I got my stove in November and we would hear this loud noise as we were heating up the oven and I didnt worry about it. It sounded like metal bending and I said, Oh, its just new. It just needs some time to loosen up, warm up, get used to -- just to be operated. But it kept happening. My daughters like, Mommy, I dont know. This doesnt sound right. It keeps doing this. We finally decided to call. First, I called the place that I made the purchase from and he didnt return my call. So, I decided to call Viking directly and they were very helpful, told me there was a recall on the part of that particular series, and then the ball started moving. They took care of it, told me what was going to happen and what we needed to do. Right now, Im waiting for parts to be delivered to me. I already have a contact person that they gave me that will do the installation of those parts. They recommended me not to use the oven. I can use the stovetop, but not the oven. So, thats what Ive been doing for the last two weeks. I love the stovetop. It gives very even cooking. Also, I like that you can take the whole top part. Each piece comes off so I can get to every part to clean it.

I had a friend that had Viking appliances and we really liked the appearance. It was something that we were interested in. We liked all the great things we heard about hem too. With our Viking range, I like the quality and the way it distributes heat. But when our range was delivered, there were tapes inside the two glasses and we still have those in there. Thats something that somebody is coming out to look at and they will take it out from there.

We have a full suite of Viking appliances. Its pricey but we chose them for their reputation and style. My wife likes the refrigerator more but I find it a little too shallow. Everythings up front. But aesthetically, its very pleasing and it goes with the other appliances as well as the rest of the redone kitchen, and it’s so far, so good. Initially, we had a problem with the refrigerator. It was probably within the first month. Id found a puddle of water below the freezer on the floor. I did not appreciate that at all. It had gone into a defrost mode unexpectedly, and we had to throw everything in the freezer away. The icemaker has that bar that will cut it off as it slows up. That doesnt work. The ice overflows and ends up on the bottom of the freezer. It’s never turned itself off, so you have to turn it off manually to stop the ice being generated. Otherwise, if you pull out the top shelf of the freezer, its higher than the rod because it pushes it out of it, pushes it to the back and out the back, off the end. Were not the only ones. We speak to other people who have it, and they say they have the same issue. From what I understand, there is no fix. It just doesnt do what you thought it would do. Thats something that from a design perspective should be looked at.

I had a Viking range when I lived in Southern California for 20 years and couldnt kill the thing. Initially, I purchased it for status. It looked so great in my house. With a culinary background, I quickly found out that this range was amazing. It performed. I moved and could not take it with me. We finally built our forever home and one of the requirements was that I bring that Viking back. I have a whole Viking kitchen. The window in the range in the oven part of it is not the same as it used to be. This seems like it needs some kind of gasket around it. I sometimes see steam between the glass. I was told thats normal but it wasnt like that on my other range. But all in all, it works really well. I love it. I had a GE in another home and it was like junk. You couldnt clean it. It’d scratch. I took the air filters out and washed them. They fell apart the first time. You dont get that with Viking. It is a lot more money but you get what you pay for. I tell people if youre going to invest in appliances for your house, this is the way to go. Its everything you need and Viking stands behind their product.

I bought my Viking range from Best Buy and they had it delivered. They were very helpful. I like the volume of heat that the range can produce on the burners. The only thing that they could work on in terms of improving it would be on the simmer function. Sometimes, when I turn it down to simmer, it goes out then itll click and the spark will come back on. Other than that, it works great. The quality is good.

I had an excellent experience with the Viking dealer. Their professionalism and knowledge of the product were good. The Viking refrigerator is good overall, but we had issues when we got it. It was leaking so it damaged our floor. I still have to file an insurance claim for that. I think there was a damaged part, and when I had a claim, the company wasn’t expedient in their response.

When the refrigerator was delivered, the shell was dimpled. So I had two replacements come out, and Viking could not correct that. I got a third refrigerator last week. I was traveling on a weekend, and the compressor stopped, but it came back on. So Im still having problems with Viking. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldnt choose Viking. Theyre not very good products at this time. But their technicians have been great.

The refrigerator makes some funny noises and Im a little concerned about how it would work if I ever have to have it repaired. But its not an issue that affects the cooling of the unit so its no big deal. For now, its working great and its aesthetically nice. Its a big block of steel and its pretty imposing. Its a good product.

We saved up and purchased our Viking Duel Fuel Professional 36 range in 2005. Within the first year, the igniters failed to light the burners. We were told by the local repair that it would cost $600-$800 to replace parts. We chose to manually light the burners which we have now been doing for six years. Another part that failed within the first couple of years of owning the range was the relay switch. We smelled an electrical fire smell and discovered the switch that had fired and replaced it ourselves. The switch failed again last summer and a Viking Pro Service replaced it at the cost of $169.00. Now, two weeks before Christmas with all the holiday baking looming, my Viking Professional Range is failing again. Two more relay switches have repeatedly burned leaving the conclusion that there is something wrong in the wiring or electrical. I cant believe the troubles and cost that this expensive range has caused.

I liked the product of Viking Refrigerators and some of the features that it had on it. So, I got a Viking refrigerator and I like the space. But the ice maker didn’t work and it didnt make ice at all from the get-go with the first fridge that I got, so they replaced the fridge. But now Im having issues too with the ice maker on the second fridge. Ive had this fridge for a month before it started knocking. When I dealt with the representatives to try to get the ice maker issue resolved with both fridges, they were great and they’ve been on top of the issue. The technicians showed up and replaced the ice maker five times on the first fridge, before they replaced the fridge. Theyre now in the process of fixing the the second fridge and theyre gonna come out on Friday and replace the ice maker. Viking Refrigerators seemed to be great, but as for their product, I have to see what the outcome is gonna be regarding the issue with the ice maker.

Range came with griddle not working and oven not working. Griddle was repaired, but still waiting for oven to be fixed, months later. Very disappointed after spending $9900. When we called up last week, we were told to wait, that it takes a while.

We did a kitchen remodel in 2005. Just like all of you, we thought we were buying the top of the line appliances. We have replaced the hinges twice, the freezer seal, the icemaker three times, had water flowing out of the corner of the bottom freezer, the alarm going off constantly, and now - a refrigerant leak. We were told that it is a ten-hour repair for two repairmen - approx. $1800! We are going to buy a new unit this weekend, and you can bet that it will not be a Viking. If there is a class action suit....count me in!

I got a Viking range, dishwasher and a smaller baking oven. The dealer was knowledgeable and my experience in dealing with him was good. The range has a griddle in the middle which is a high polished stainless look and I liked that. It is super easy to clean and it looks brand spanking new, spotless and shiny after I clean it. I also like how underneath where the burners are, its like a black enamel, so its easy to hide whenever its not so clean. Also, I like the quality of Viking a lot and so far, I’ve been happy with all the Viking products that I have.

My friends have Viking Ranges and I like their price so I got one too. However, the handle on my oven door broke so I put in a service request over a month ago and their technician came and ordered the parts for the door, and I havent heard from them since. All the fans are not working either. It makes a loud noise and it doesnt heat up properly. I have no oven for over a month now and I cant get anyone to come over and fix it. I have three teenagers and I cant entertain, and I wasnt able to entertain last Easter. I sent a nasty email last week and they told me that the parts take a long time to order so Im not a happy camper. I would have been happy with it, but I cant use it. I bought it last July so it hasnt been a year yet. I think its a discontinued model thats why its giving me the trouble.

Where do I begin. 4 and half years ago, we remodeled our home and bought Viking appliances which we have been very happy with EXCEPT for the horrible, horrible dishwasher. It has NEVER worked properly, EVER. So much so that after 2 years, I got Viking to replace it with a new one and its still doesnt work well. It spontaneously starts beeping, non-stop, the cycle takes FOREVER. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. A friend recommended to get a less expensive one, stainless steel but that will work better. Thats all from me.... Grrr.

A friend of ours purchased a range from Viking, and I heard a testimony of the people who told us about them so I went with them. The sales rep was good, but I didnt love the delivery team. The subcontract company from the store was a little bit on the unprofessional side and basically didnt have a rate plan for installation. They just winged it, quoted me a price and we had to do the whole Tijuana dealing. Then, they ended up not doing some good finish work on installation of the hood. They did a partial job. However, they didnt damage anything.

I wanted the French doors on top and the drawer at the bottom. That month, Viking came out with a new model but it did not have the water dispenser either inside or on the door and that was something I was looking for because everywhere that I did research on, the word was that there was a glitch with every refrigerator that has either a water dispenser inside or outside and you always have to buy the filter. I thought that was a hassle so I was pleased that Viking came out with a model that didnt have that. It was also a good made on their part because the one they had before the new model had an internal water dispenser and I dont drink cold water. I like either tepid or hot water so this refrigerator was made for my needs. It was perfect. But the crisper drawers would ice up and there would be big chunks of ice there. They wouldnt thaw out so I would have to go at it with an ice pick. Viking brought a technician over to try and fix it but he said he couldnt do a fix. He said the refrigerator was a lemon. He worked on other refrigerators of Viking and they were fine. Mine was the only model where the defrost wasnt working. But they couldnt repair it so they swapped it out with a new refrigerator. And I love the meat drawer of the new refrigerator. It keeps the meats colder so that it lasts a little longer. If I dont use the meat thats in there for three days, it would still be okay. I also like the freezer drawer. The fridge I had before I remodeled my kitchen was a side by side door. By then side by side refrigerators were not that well made because all the refrigerator manufacturers were moving toward the French doors with the drawer freezer. Some people say that one of the problems is when you have the drawer that pulls out, youre always fishing for space. But I find that I didnt have to do that because within the freezer, theres two pull out and one at the bottom. I can always see whats there which is nice. And then all of the freezer baskets that pull out, theyre all wire baskets and not solid panels so the frozen food gets frozen hard.I also like the fact that the lighting is in the front. In the Hotpoint refrigerator we had before we remodeled, the light is in the back of the refrigerator. So if I have any item thats tall enough, itll block the lights and I dont get the light in the front. But with Viking, they put the light in the front and the lighting is good. I can see everything so Im impressed with that, too. So overall, I like the layout and the one that I bought was counter depth which is nice too. The Hotpoint refrigerator that we had stuck way out in front of the cabinet so everyone is always bumping into it. So now being counter depth, theres enough room in the inside, too. Its a little bigger than my Hotpoint but efficiency-wise, its all around so much better.The delivery person had to deliver and install it and he was very conscientious about not marring the parquet hardwood floors and all of the other stuff. They made sure before he left that everything was up and running very well. I was impressed with the installer they hired as well. They didnt cut corner on service and didnt corner on the refrigerator which is nice. But Im most impressed with the Viking service. Usually, companies dont replace defective products. They keep sending a technician once a month to try to mess with it. Viking couldnt repair the fridge so they swapped it out with a new refrigerator and Im pleased with the decision. I never had that before so that was quite a statement as to how well Viking stand behind their product.

When our family bought our home we purchased all new Viking kitchen equipment. Double oven, heat warming tray, 2 oversized units, one refrigerators, one freezer, ice machine dishwasher, hood, and 6 burner stove top. Within two years the refrigerator started leaking. We complained to the company we purchased it from and he said it was the seal. They ordered a new one from Viking but what Viking failed to tell them was that the refrigerator we had purchased was one of the first 100 off the assembly line and they had recalled this item.The continuing leakage from the refrigerator ruined our hardwood floors. We finally had a rep come out and look at the refrigerator and believe it or not we got a new one after this continuing over a year. The ice machine in the freezer went bad so he ordered us a new one while he was there. The ice machine that was self standing the board went out after 4 years and it cost almost as much to fix so we threw it out. Now our freezer only freezes halfway. There is a hole in the condensing coil that they can not locate. Now the refrigerator that was replaced the door keeps catching and it will not close properly. The dishwasher would not drop water after 5 years. Could not figure out why it would not and just ended up throwing that away.

My wife liked the style as well as the lights of the Viking Refrigerator and the salesman in the store recommended it. Their customer service was also the best. The only thing were not crazy about is the ice maker. Its got the arm but I dont know if its done on sensors where it doesnt overflow and doesnt really fill the refrigerator in. But then Viking is great and we love it.

We got our Viking range used and we got it at a really good price. I like the quality. I feel like the electronics and stuff in it seems to be kinda problematic, but that might also be because it is older. We had issues with the oven and a new control board was ordered and that fixed everything except for the broiler. Now, we’re just trying to fix the broiler problem. Other than that, my experience with Viking themselves is great. They gave me the history of the appliance and I was able to figure out what work had been done on it before. I was really happy with Viking’s technical service and support. And I like the way the range looks and it cooks great. You can feel the difference just in the weight of the appliance we took out compared to this one. Its made much more solidly and well-constructed than typical appliances.

I had a Viking Refrigerator in my last house and I liked it. it’s great! The only thing is at my old house, the drain at the bottom plugged real easy but you can’t really move it in and out because it’s built in, so that was a little bit of a drawback. It’s expensive to get that repaired when it plugs so I finally learned how to do it myself. I put towels all over the place but it freezes up. I got a good deal on floor model for my new house. I got the whole suite of products. Its one of the nicest fridges Ive ever had and Im really happy with it.

I like the look of Viking Refrigerators and it was a right fit for what we needed. So we got a package deal from them and ended up getting two refrigerators. They’ve been great up until a month ago where unfortunately, one of them malfunctioned. The refrigerators are in our vacation home, and the gentleman who came out and checked it said the foam came loose and got caught in the fans. There was no coolant happening and no fans were going off, and it was heating up the temperature so all of the fixtures on the doors cracked from the heat. The food in my refrigerator also cooked for about two weeks, so it took 11 hours for the cleaners to get it cleaned and it still smells.I was still hoping that Viking will get it fixed, but parts have to be ordered and the gentleman who came out and told me to put coffee or charcoal in the refrigerator also said that the inside of my refrigerator got cooked. Its now beige and is off color. He said if I can live with that, then my refrigerator will probably be okay. But I was asked what I wanted and I said Id like the refrigerator replaced because it’s clear that theres something wrong and they came out and confirmed it. But theyre going to send all the pieces to put it together, and thats very silly to replace all the stuff as I don’t think my refrigerator is going to be all right because of the inside coloring. Its going to cost them as much for each of those drawers because everything inside the refrigerator wasn’t metal and most of the shelvings cracked and completely dropped to the bottom of the refrigerator, smothered in whatever food I had there, and it was just not good.My second Viking refrigerator, a small one that’s on the counter by my stove, also decided to kick out, which is weird because Viking is usually a very good product. The tech said he’s seen it on three others in his time and he’s worked for 20 years on Viking, but he’s never seen it this bad. So I hope they do the right thing and replace the product because it clearly was faulty. I think its a great product. Its sleek and I loved it, but Im still a little frustrated. Its been two weeks and I haven’t heard anything back, so Im going to call and see what was happening with my refrigerator.

Its a tough year because we bought the Viking range during COVID. We bought it last October but we couldnt get it until February or March. It was the same with our SubZero refrigerator. Its just the way it was last year. Our contractor put the range in and the ease of install was fine. They did the kitchen remodel and then, we redid counters and cabinets. The range heats up fast and even, and the stove and the burners work well. But the grates started showing wear. There are dings in it, like you dropped something on the grates or theyre torn off, and we hardly use it. The quality is not standing up to the price we paid for it. One thing I would like to have known is to burn it up before you try to cook something in it. I should have read the directions. We set off the smoke detectors. A sticker on the window might be a good idea. My wife had surgery and we had someone come to help my wife, and she was the one who used the oven first. The burners were easy to use. I had gas for the last 30 years so it was not hard so we didnt think about reading the instructions. We read them after we almost had the fire department called. Fortunately, we have good ventilation in the house and we have a Viking hood but that was what was expensive.

I chose a Wolf range and they had a part problem and couldnt get the range in in time. So, my second choice was Viking. The oven is great but the burners are hard to regulate and I don’t like them. I had somebody from one of Vikings vendors come in to look at it and make sure it was operating correctly, and it wasnt completely operating well. They fixed it. I still am not completely satisfied though. The deal was I wanted a different range to begin with, and somehow, this one arrived. I was moving into a new house, so I had to have a range to get a certificate of occupancy. So, I ended up keeping it. But my struggle with it is I can never get the burners to go low enough just to simmer. Im constantly playing with them and its irritating.

I inherited the Viking Range on the house that we bought. Its great and the convection feature in the oven is nice, except that it does some weird things. The electronic igniters sometimes will just keep clicking even after the burner is lit. The technician said it happens when its wet or when its more humid. Ive never ever had that happen before and with Viking being top-of-the-line, I would not expect that. Still, Viking is durable and it looks nice too.

We love the Viking range. We got it through a third party and received it in a week. My contractor did the installation so it was great. I like that the oven and the space for the burners are big.

These appliances cost us a lot of money… But the worst part is they cost us thousands in repairs. The 48 inch frig leaked and ruined my floors and walls and the stove has caught on fire and we have also replaced several parts. You cant get service on them and there is no customer service. Dont buy or even get one of these for free. They are awful!

I used to live in another house that was already built by someone else and they had Viking appliances. I am used to Viking and I didn’t have any problems back then and I was happy with the appliances. But now, I’m having trouble with the new appliances and mainly with the refrigerator. I had it replaced in March because of a water leakage and the new one is doing exactly the same. It is noisy, too. I tried to get the new one back in November from last year. And then, they sent me the fridge but not the freezer because the freezer was working right. They said they will match them because they’re independent units, but when the guy opened the box, it didn’t match. The handle and a couple of things that you can see were different. If you’re having your freezer beside your fridge, you want the handles to be the same height.I had to talk to Viking for them to take back the fridge. They had to arrange if I had a new freezer because they didn’t have the previous model in stock since they stopped doing it. They sent me both a freezer and a fridge, and within four months, I’m having the same issue again. The technician who came to fix it was the one who came five times for the previous unit and he said there was nothing else he can do. He said he did everything that was possible to switch, to change, to check if it’s working, and it is still the same. When he was here a couple of months ago, he said that Viking was having a lot of problems with the fridge and all their refrigerators were having the same issues. They don’t even know what is going on. The technician used to be a Viking technician and because Viking is having a lot of problems and customers are complaining about their fridge, he moved to another company. And the most recent time I called Viking, the same technician came to my house, but he was working for a third party who is giving service to Viking. I’m so disappointed and I’m tired of having a technician every four months and take everything out of the refrigerator for him to work on it for more than two hours.

Viking had a real good reputation and it’s considerably more expensive than others so we expected a lot more from it. But right now, were on the fence about it. We found out the range was damaged when it was installed and we had the local vendor, AllSouth, come out and look at it to see what the deal was. They said it could be fixed and it could be 5,000. But even if we replaced it, they were somewhat reluctant to say they feel safe with the internal portion of the gas part of it. That made us still somewhat reluctant to use it.They handed it off to Viking and Viking did not call us back so we had to call them and they apologized. They said they were sorry the other guy didnt call us back and that they have cameras that look at the production process so it couldn’t have been on their part. But the end result is we paid almost $7,200 for the range and its damaged. Im not real happy with Viking and I was real disappointed with them. If I had to do it over again, I would not go with them. Its been somewhat of an uphill battle with Viking and AllSouth and were hoping that it will be rectified.

The Viking Refrigerator that I got is great. Its everything I thought it would be. I like the bright lights, being able to change the configuration that it has. I like the more solid material. There is one thing I wish they did have that is not there, and thats a filter for the water that goes to the ice. Cause typically the water connections are behind it, and since this is built-in, its not like a regular fridge where you can pull it out and then change the filter. I had to run a line from my reverse osmosis system to go to the back, even though theres a water connection with the spigot built into my house behind it. But everything else has been great. Were pretty happy with it. It looks great and performs really well.
