The oven will intermittently not cycle and reignite to maintain temperature. The range is now nearly the end of the warranty and replacement parts, motherboard, and gas valve have been on backorder for months. After numerous calls to the authorized service center over the past two and a half years, the problem is getting worse. Just last Saturday, a family dinner was ruined because the range shut off and refused to reignite. The next day, no problem, the oven fired right up. Overall we are very disappointed in the lack of quality, value, reliability, and factory support. We would not recommend purchasing Viking products, and will not in the future.

Viking ranges are so expensive and buying one was not our goal. But we just remodeled out kitchen and when we went into the showroom to start buying all the appliances, we walked by a Viking range and it was the most beautiful thing we ever saw. My husband loves to cook and we thought we had to have that. So we spent the money and bought one because of how it looked. Also, the brand name is nothing but the best. Viking is synonymous with quality and youre gonna lay down some bucks for it but it is worth it.The reps at the Viking dealership were super great. It was a location where they sell several brand names but the rep that helped us couldnt have been more helpful, nice, and informative. We bought the one with the four burners and the grill in the middle. My husbands favorite feature is the grill and mine is the baking oven. I like the way it has the latch pull out which are like on rollers. The quality of the range is beautiful and our experience with it has been great so far. But Im concerned about the way that little vent that is at the back of the cook area is placed because when it bends out, it kinda hits on our backsplash and over time, that heat at the scene may be an issue. I wish the guy told us that when we bought the range, but that is not a complaint. We bought the Viking dishwasher as well. We had a guy come out and he said that they are great dishwashers but he hates to work on them because they are so complicated. Youve got to pull things apart. But he said that he doesn’t have a lot of problems with them other than it sucks when he has to work on them. As a consumer, we bought it because it has the bottom rack, the top rack, and this little rack underneath that you pull out where you can put utensils or knives. That is brilliant. I show everybody that feature and every person Ive shown it to said that they wish their dishwasher had that. So it had an extra feature that, for a consumer, is a winner. We almost bought an under-the-cabinet-microwave-drawer from Viking, too. But we didn’t do it because in the Viking ones, the buttons are on top so, there wasn’t going to be enough room once you put your granite countertop on. People don’t generally put those low so you cant really get your hand to touch them. So, we went with a Sharp microwave drawer because its feature was you pop open that little drawer for all the buttons. So, it was better and easily accessible. Aside from that, we would have bought all Viking.

Viking Built-In Convection Microwave Hood - I have owned this appliance for less than 5 years and it is already inoperable. The machine started buzzing and burning. A repairman told me that it has defective parts. Nothing caused by us. Total cost for the repairs is $576. The warranty states that only one part is covered for 5 years - of course, not the parts I need. The company (Viking) wasted a lot of my time only to state the same, Sorry, not covered. Frustrating. I could have bought a $50 microwave from any big box shop that would probably still be working today. Viking is supposed to be top of the line. What a joke.

I bought a house with a Viking range. I like the range, but I’m not happy with the oven --- I’m not able to really cook in the oven. The range, on the other hand, looks like a solid piece of equipment. The range is pretty and the stovetop cooking is my favorite feature.

The house that we bought had the appliances in it and it included a Viking range. I’ve known about Viking Ranges for a long time but this is the first time I’ve owned any of their products. So far, the quality is great and I really like the look of it. But I’ve never owned a gas oven before, so Im still learning about it. It’s also a little noisier than a typical electric oven, but Im getting used to it. I also get that this is a professional range series so you’re not gonna have a timer like in an electric oven, but that is kind of nice to have.

Purchased Viking stove and built in Viking microwave VMOS200 while kitchen was being remodeled so it sat in warehouse for around a year. Microwave installed and worked fine for about 10 years, and then it stopped heating the food. Researched cost of repairs and found them to be way high in cost because of labor and the cost of parts needed. Researched for similar issues, to find out that other with same problem as a result of some switches behind the keypad that were bad and needed to be changed. As per Viking the little switch would cost around $22.00 ea. I worked as a purchaser of electronic components and I thought it sounded fishy for a switch to cost that much. I used to pay pennies for some switches and granted there are different types for different uses, but nothing could justify $22.00. I took the switch description and specs and fed it into Google and like magic had a list of them including the one from Viking. Found the one that matched my needs for less than $3.00 ea., sent description of it to Viking and asked what the difference was.Vikings response was that there wasnt any difference between them and either one would be perfectly good to solve the problem with my Viking microwave. I purchased over $25.00 worth of switches because I wanted free shipping. Also, this model has 4 switches behind the keypad and I was not sure if one or more switches were bad. They are ripping off consumers with their high prices for appliances built by Sharp and sticking their Viking name on them and selling their made in China switches for $22.00. If this is not illegal, it should be!??? Does Consumer Affairs look into things like this? Wish they did.

I purchased close to $30,000 of Viking appliances. I bought two under cabinet refrigerators, wine coolers, a cooktop, a built-in microwave, and built-in oven, but never had a problem with them. The main problem was the refrigerator as it constantly broke down. We were very dissatisfied with it. We had to contact their technician three times to come out and fix the problem. But their repair guys were always good. They came with the knowledge of what the problem is and they fixed it. We also had a very bad experience with their dealer Pacific Sales at Best Buy in San Jose. They kept blowing me off even if I purchased extended warranty. They told me I have to contact Viking directly. Why did they sell me the extended warranty if they will not cover the problem?

I recommend it to everybody that has come to my house. I tell them, “Go with Viking. You will not regret it.” The delivery and set up were very easy. We were building a house and we were wanting a bigger range. We started looking around the Austin area which is about 100 miles from where we’re actually located. We went into the store, looking at all the different products. Then we found a company closer to us that carried all the same brands except for one that we were looking at. But that company in Fredericksburg said they’ve had people in this area who requested the same range that we were looking at but the manufacturer doesnt come to service it. So if something happened, we weren’t gonna get service on it and that was one of our things. Then we started looking at Viking and they said that Viking comes out to this area and services the appliances that are messed up. So we got the prices and the features on everything and the representatives told us about everything. That was what made us choose Viking. Besides, Wolf was way too expensive and I couldnt see spending the money to get the same product. The reps were also very helpful. If we had questions or concerns, we called them on the phone and asked them, and they remembered us. So as far as helping us and selling, they were fantastic. One thing I also noticed is that, versus Wolf and Thermador, Viking has all the burner heads in the same size. And I like that. This is something that drives me absolutely nuts – when youre trying to cook somewhere and you have a big burner here, a medium here then a small one here but you gotta cook three large pans. You only really have one burner for it. With Viking, I don’t have to worry about that and that made a huge difference. The range is awesome. The ovens are taking some time to get used to just because they cook faster. But that’s a good thing. We were also kinda regretting that we bought a range this big. But in the first couple of times we’ve used it, we were almost using every single burner and the ovens at the same time. I thought it was a good thing we bought this. In terms of the use, the care and trying to clean it, everything is great as well.

I love the Viking range. I was looking for a larger range, and I liked the fact that it has two ovens- the regular oven and another one. The griddle is awesome and my husband loves all of the burners. It’s also pretty to look at. I ordered it through a catalog and when it was delivered, the delivery people left it outside of my house. They said they would come back to bring it in the house. Then they said it was damaged. I tried to have it picked up by them, but they wouldn’t do it. They said my husband signed that it was okay. My sons had to bring it into the house and when they brought it in, they broke one of the knobs off. But otherwise, the stove was not damaged. I had to call Viking to get a new part and they did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend Viking.

We’ve been told that Viking is one of the best in that price range and this is our second Viking range so it has excellent quality. Now, I have six burners as opposed to four. Our new stand-alone stove has stainless steel knobs but our old built-in electric stove has black knobs. I wanted to match the knobs but Viking doesnt offer the option to change the black ones with stainless steel. It’s frustrating that the older models and the newer models can’t mesh together. But aside from that, I had another part replaced and it was very easy.

When I went into the store of the multi-product and multi-brand dealer, I had a shortlist of what would fit in my house, and the Viking refrigerator was one of them. Its well-rated. I looked online for reviews and did more of my research outside of the dealer store. The refrigerator that I got from Viking is good. I like it a lot, especially the lighting. However, there are two things that I dont like about it. One is that I wish I had filtered water. The second one is that when you use the ice tray in the automatic ice feature, the little bars that measure whether its full or not usually catch the ice, and then the ice falls back into the freezer and you cant shut the freezer. So then you have to fish up some of the ice. But its hard to get back there because you have to get down on your hands and knees and slide the big tray out. Otherwise, the ref is working well.

My sister had a Viking Refrigerator and I also chose them because my LG broke and I wanted a counter depth refrigerator, basically with the luxury of a high-end refrigerator, but not having a built-in. A built-in will run you $10,000 to $12,000, so I thought it was a good idea to go with the name Viking. It really fits my kitchen as well. The price was on point and I didn’t consider anything else because of it. The quality of the refrigerator is good, so far. It seems to keep my food a lot fresher than my LG did. However, the refrigerator door doesn’t stay all the way down in that lift. It also makes ice so fast that when you pull the door open, ice cubes fall out. It’s not a defect and it’s not such a bad thing, but its not perfect. Nevertheless, I like the handle of the refrigerator because it matches our Wolf oven. Im all about the look and I would tell others to definitely go for Viking Refrigerators. I would also tell them that I could actually go to Costco with the comfort of knowing my food is going to last.

The Viking registration site would not accept my information so it was somewhat of a hassle to get both of my products registered. I had to go through one of their customer service supervisors. It was a little laborious. I had to produce copies of the tags on my product. I had to produce a sales receipt and a lot more information than I would have had I been able to just use the website. The operator’s manual for the appliances is also not specific enough. The instructions are vague in regard to operating the range and turning it on. But Im generally pleased with the range. It cooks so much faster than a gas or an electric range. I also like the size of it and the interior of the oven.

The control panel for our double wall mounted Viking range went out two months ago. Since then we have been trying to get it fixed. After a delay of 7 weeks, the part came. The part was defective and we have heard nothing since. I have twice talked to Albert Lee sales people about the company and the miserable record they have for repair. They said they were aware but will continue to sell Viking. When I asked about warning people I got no reply. The repair people are slow but are at the mercy of the company who bought Viking. Mr Selim Bassoul is the culprit at this company Middleby. They bought Viking and immediately the problems started. They closed the Distribution company in Washington and moved all parts supply to California. They bill themselves as the supplier for the entire Southwest. When I tried to explain to the parts tech about my problems, he curtly told me to be quiet and to move ahead. He didnt seem to care what the customers were going through. Its really too bad as they were a great company. Now they are the worst. Stay away at all costs from them and the people who support them.

Weve already had three issues with the range. First, the wiring harness for the burners that they installed was wired backward so they came and fixed that. Then, the thermocouple in the oven was bad and it cycled way too frequently. It took a long time to get parts but its fixed. The third issue, which isnt resolved yet, is theres a warp in one of the panels. As the oven heats up, that warp kicks loose and we hear a bang. These issues should have been caught by decent quality control and they werent. But the oven works and I love it. I love how easy it is to clean and maintain and it cooks amazingly.

My brother bought a Viking range. His wife is a really great cook and they loved the range. We had a range that worked off one of those panels and it broke down so we had to replace it twice. We wanted to get something that was totally manual and looked sturdy. the Viking range looked like the real thing. And it was a special with the dishwasher. We needed one of those so it all kind of worked out together. The qualitys great and its a real pleasure. I like the grill on top and you can slide everything across. However, I would never go back to the Viking dealer, P.C. Richards, again. Their guys came and I made the mistake of letting them install the unit instead of calling the plumber. They wound up cutting the heat shield at the back of the stove and they had to replace it. It was two weeks of back and forth and it wasn’t fun. That aside, we talked to Viking Ranges and they gave us a list of dealers since we wanted to get their runners. Our kitchen countertop is Butcher Block and the stove is sitting in the middle of the Butcher Block. I like the same stainless steel edging that I could put on the Butcher Block that would be alongside the side of the stove, like an angle iron. It would be attached between the countertop and the stove.

The dishwasher we bought 3 years ago has been a disaster. This week, the start button fell into the dishwasher. Then the rocket scientist repair person (who is an authorized repair person for Viking) comes to check it, ends up ordering the wrong part because he thought that was the problem, after disassembling the entire panel. Now he says the correct part is backordered for 3 weeks at least. I called All Viking Parts.com and Viking and confirmed this. How is it possible that a $28.00 part cannot be found in the United States of America? Viking is SO proud it is made in the USA, yet cannot have a $28 part in stock. Also, when we bought our 3 viking appliances, they came with a 1 yr warranty. Now they come with a 3 year warranty..... must be due to the fact they are absolute pieces of jump. The stove, fridge and dishwasher have ALL broken. The dishwasher being the most to break. In fact, a part I bought myself and installed in the fridge, has broken.... again... literally within 2 weeks of installing it. NEVER BUY VIKING APPLIANCES..... NOT WORTH IT. I wish I would have listened to the reviews I read about Viking before purchasing.

I spent over $20,000.00 on a complete Viking appliance replacement for 15-year-old Whirlpool Gold appliances. Most expensive mistake I ever made. The dishwasher does not dry the dishes at all and the inside of the dishwasher is always wet after a cycle. The refrigerator is very noisy and the condenser fan is louder than a jet engine when running on full. Freezer items have frost on them and I can only hope it does not break down in the near future. The convection microwave does not even pop popcorn correctly (or at all) unless bag is placed on a bowl turned upside down? Convection cooktop seems to be working okay as does the oven thus far. I have had several repair calls on the refrigerator with no repairs. One repair person indicated it was supposed to be loud. Do yourself a favor and buy Kenmore Elite or something else besides Viking for 1/3 the cost and 100 times better quality. I want my Whirlpool Gold back (as well as my $20,000.00). Viking needs to wake up before they go out of business. Is there a lemon law for appliances. These are all appliance purchased in late 2013 and I am already looking to replace them all.

I have had a Viking stove for about 30 years. When I went into a store, I saw that there were Viking displays and the refrigerator really looked very nice. I needed the built-in one because I was taking out the bad old built-in. The Viking refrigerator had all the features I wanted and had good quality parts and interior too. The ice machine is in the freezer. And I like the ice to be in the tray where I could scoop it out. I got a side-by-side that looks good in my kitchen. I like the same feel and that it was constructed with a simple design. I also like the clean stainless steel doors and the way its very vertical and tall. I hope that it would last a very long time. If it does, then Id be happy. My experience with the dealer was pretty good but they dont use the best people to do the installation. Their people are not really specialized for Viking. They brought the first refrigerator in and installed it in such a way that they damaged one of the doors. And then they had to send another refrigerator to replace it and it was a big ordeal. Nevertheless, I would tell my friends that so far, I am happy with my Viking refrigerator.

I like the design, quality, size and features of Viking. The delivery of the refrigerator went well. I had it delivered in March, and been using it fine. But it wasnt until about three weeks ago, I had some renovating and remodeling. I had the plumbers come out and they connected the water line to the fridge so it can make ice. They hooked it up and I left for work, came back and only about 10 pieces of ice were made. So, I called up the place that I bought it from and they sent out a technician today but they couldnt figure it out. The technician was like, Oh, you need to send this in to Viking. This is a 700-pound unit. I spoke with them and they said that they will come out again to get this figured out. So, Im not very happy with the fridge at the moment. I had a KitchenAid that was four years old prior to having my first Viking Refrigerator, and I had nothing but problems with their refrigerators. The Viking Refrigerator is beautiful. It was the only one that looked built-in and looked really like a professional grade refrigerator with the handles. It looks good in my kitchen and it cools the food. That’s top-of-the-line so I was expecting it to be quiet but that’s not the case. The actual noise that comes out of that refrigerator is absolutely unacceptable and terrible. Its super high pitched, like a whistling sound. Its the loudest refrigerator Ive ever had. Ive had two people come out and look at it and they weren’t very helpful. One was here for five minutes and said, “No, that’s just the compressor. No, its a little bit louder than most but that’s just normal.” That was it and then he left. I had three homes and several different refrigerators and for them to act like it was normal but mine was a little bit louder than the rest made me wonder if there was really something wrong with it. Even my husband said that weve spent almost $4,000 on this fridge and its super loud. Im just going to have to live with it and maybe down the line, if it doesn’t break in, then Im going to have them come back out. And Id tell others not to buy one because they might get a loud one like mine.

I was doing a re-do and I didn’t do a lot of research. I recognized the Viking name and I expected it would be a quality product. Since the moment they went in, I find the customer service to be horrific. We had some issues. The stove was leaking. The refrigerator was leaking. The dishwasher hasnt been working properly. All kinds of things. Trying to get through to their customer service meant I needed to reach out to some third party contacts. It was very hard to reach them by phone, I had to email them. It took over a week to hear back before they even got in touch with me.Then they had to contact a service representative. The service representative from my area was horrific. He came into my home and said, “I cant really look at that for you. I cant really touch that because Viking’s not gonna pay me to do that,” which doesnt exactly lead me to believe that theres a lot of support for anything that goes wrong. Some of the things would have been super easy fixes have they just been willing to say, “Okay, its a brand new product, and were gonna help you.” But they didnt do that.My most recent issue was that the refrigerator is less than six months old, and the vegetable and fruit trays fell off the track. I couldnt get them back on. My husband couldnt get them back on. So we called and that was a month ago. To this day, we still have no answer on how they will rectify that situation. After two weeks, the horrific service man came, looked at it, touched it for one second, and said, “I think its cosmetic. It will be $325 to fix.” That was the last I heard from him. I told him were not paying $325. Its brand new and its not cosmetic. A track on a brand new refrigerator is in no way cosmetic. I didnt smash the stainless steel on the outside of the refrigerator or even crack the glass of a shelf, which I could understand. But a track is a working part. Thats unacceptable. My husband said yesterday that it is a piece of junk. We bought an entire suite as a rebuild. It was a big investment for us. It wasnt an easy purchase, it was something that we did because we thought it would add value to our home and it would be quality appliances, and we wouldnt have to call service a million times like we might have had to call if we bought GE appliances. But I would have been way better off with that. I also had Sub-Zero refrigerators for 35 years before this. Two of them only over 20 years each, and I never had to call the service company. The dishwasher, which we have not called them for service, already has parts that have fallen off of it. Its the most disappointing purchase of my life. I would never buy Viking again. I would never recommend it. The refrigerator, over $10,000 just for the one piece of equipment, they got to have better service. This is not acceptable. Even if the customer ends up having to pay, which I should not have to pay for that, I should at least get somebody to answer my question. I should have a supervisor or a manager call me back to say this shouldnt happen.

Viking Ranges popped up as being nearest to my house when I did an online search. I like the brand. The stove is great, reliable and is a beautiful piece. They’re known for that but unfortunately, that’s the only thing they’re known for. I have the hood on top of the vent but it stopped working so, I called them. The customer service was very short. When some guy came out, he said that he had to change the whole part and he was going to overcharge me for something. But I was able to fix it by myself and it was just a loose wire. I grabbed a screwdriver, took it apart, took the thing out and then was able to put the wire back in place and now it works fine. It was pretty evident what was going on where it was a failure in the switch but they tried to scam me and make me buy a whole new piece which is ridiculous to me. I also have a Viking dishwasher and I figured that they could fix it. The technicians came out, was very nice and he did his best trying to fix the problem. He accomplished it ‘cause the dishwasher started working again but it was for half a day. The next day it stopped working and continued to be clogged. When I called back the technician to see if he could come back and repair it again, he never showed. He said he would call back and see if he would reappear but he never did. Eventually, I stopped calling him and I had to call a new place. I had to pay for somebody who will fix everything that the Viking technician wasnt able to fix. I was charged twice to get the repair. After that, I was reading reviews online and thought I should’ve gone with the different dishwasher. Viking doesn’t seem to have a very reliable dishwasher. The dishwasher is terrible. It keeps breaking down, flooding, it’s not easy to use, and it’s a disaster. On the whole, Viking is known for being exceptional and I have no complaints with the stove. Its phenomenal and it always works out great. But I would totally advise others to buy a different brand of dishwasher.

A friend of ours purchased a range from Viking, and I heard a testimony of the people who told us about them so I went with them. The sales rep was good, but I didnt love the delivery team. The subcontract company from the store was a little bit on the unprofessional side and basically didnt have a rate plan for installation. They just winged it, quoted me a price and we had to do the whole Tijuana dealing. Then, they ended up not doing some good finish work on installation of the hood. They did a partial job. However, they didnt damage anything.

The Viking fridge is great. We like the size of it and it seems to keep everything consistently cool. Weve only had it for about a year and weve had to replace a few of the lights on it. We did a service maintenance call because the light had gone out and that was great. But weve had another issue with our stovetop on the range. One of the burners isnt working and weve had trouble getting that fixed because theres apparently somebody else registered for the same unit.

Unit kept freezing up. After 4+ service calls and after talking with a technician that knew his stuff, he told me unit has a design flaw. Does not have a good defrosting system, it totally relies on turning itself off for a period of time, where most good systems have the warm refrigerant gas reverse through the system to defrost.

I hear about Viking Refrigerators everywhere. I hear about it online, I talked to people that bought my appliances. I go to the store and they show me the good one. I liked Viking for the size and the quality of the way the freezer was put together. It doesn’t have all those get your cherry coffee or pressurized in 12 different ways because those were the things that always break down and we don’t care about. Also, Viking has a good reputation. However, the stainless steel is impossible to clean decently and keep streak-free. It’s horrible. You can’t buy a good refrigerator with stainless steel anymore. It kinda breaks my heart. Also, the fridge gets too cold for gentle stuff that you put towards the back where the cold air comes out and that’s always been an issue. I thought it wouldn’t be with my fridge, but it is so I just raise the temperature. When the fridge was installed, I had Viking come out because it was making too much of the little gurgling noise that it has a reputation for making and I felt it seemed excessive. An authorized service representative came out, played with it for about an hour, pulled it out, plugged and unplugged it, couldn’t find anything wrong, then left. I then noticed after he left that the small panel at the bottom of the freezer was not reattached correctly and I was unable to do it myself because I was afraid I was gonna break it.I called the service people back and then they gave me a hard time saying that, “Well, the same guy that came out has to come out again. He can’t come out until after New Year,” etc etc. And I said, “But he didn’t do anything. I just need someone to look at this and reattach it.” He didn’t make any changes or any adjustments or anything that needed to be reevaluated or rechecked. He just plugged and unplugged it and said, “I don’t hear any gurgling noise,” and left. I didn’t like that. So I called Viking and said, “This is unacceptable. I don’t see any reason why someone can’t get out here quicker because nothing really was done.” Viking called the authorized service dealer who immediately called me back and sent someone out that same day which I very much appreciated. That was just excellent of Viking to do that.A second guy came out and it turned out that the freezer panel door was warped, and the thing at the bottom that didn’t attach correctly when the first guy came out., was damaged. All of that has been reordered and I was supposed to hear from them a week or so ago about coming out to replace those items and I haven’t. I’m still waiting to hear back from them, but their services were good and they stand behind the product.

We at Hickam Communities is a military housing community. When I talked to the residents on Friday afternoon, the Viking refrigerator was installed Thursday. They are very happy that it worked and everything is working properly. I talked to Kevin, the director of the installation, and we love working with him and his team. He’s very punctual, he understands the needs that we have being a military community. Its amazing. I was also gonna follow up with him and let him know that we didn’t have any issues this weekend with the refrigerator and that everything’s been good. Having the Viking team and Ferguson for the installation has been incredible. We’ve changed the time on the last minute and everybody has been super accommodating. We couldn’t have picked a better installation team and company to get the refrigerator from.

My Viking Refrigerator seems pretty high quality and well-built. Im impressed by the aesthetics and how it fits its space. The other feature was a light that turns on and off slowly. Its nice to have a little touch. But, getting it delivered was a huge pain. We told them specifically that we have a driveway thats not going to fit a large truck. They showed up with a semi-truck and they had no way to unload the refrigerator. Three weeks later, they came back with another truck. It took several tries to get the delivery right.

My sister had a Viking refrigerator and I got myself one but I have had nothing but issues. Something happened right away to the first unit I received. I fought with Viking for over a year and a half about it. They kept having repair people come in to fix stuff but nothing worked. I had to buy a new unit that they supposedly gave me a 50% discount on. Then, when the unit got in, it was dented. It took them four months to reorder and fix the part. Then, the icemaker didn’t work, and I lived without that, on a brand-new fridge for another four months. Where I live, there is only one company that could fix a Viking. They don’t have enough people and that meant that every time they order something, it took weeks to get somebody out here. That company doesnt have the workers involved. Theres not enough support or backup people that can fix these things and nobody thinks about that. When you buy a product, the service department has to come from another state to fix it. Then, if that company wasn’t good, you’re stuck at their mercy. They keep taking their time and they don’t know what they’re doing. So, I’m not happy at all. I would never buy another.

We got a stove and some other appliances. The stove, we had issue with. Its a gas stove. The proper gas nozzle apertures were requested when we ordered it but they were not sent. And there were some issues between our local dealer getting that correct nozzle. That took time. And during the installation, the installers broke a piece of the stove or the oven. And it took two times to get the correct part. They got it the first time and they installed it, and the local people who were our installers and our repairer as well, said, “This isnt right.” So it went back to Viking. We talked to somebody. Got it right. And same thing with those nozzles. It wasnt done correct the first time. I dont know where that issue lies, if it was with our local person not being able to articulate what was properly needed, or Viking not understanding or sending the wrong piece altogether. We chose Viking for several reasons. The aesthetics of it, how it looks, the way it would fit into our kitchen, the design, and its reliability, that it was a very good brand. I like how, when we open the doors, they feel substantial. Most refrigerator and freezer doors, you open them, they feel lightweight and not put together well. The Viking, when you open it up, that door is heavy. Its not heavy like I cant open it. But it feels very substantial, that I have something there that would hold up and done well.

We had the range installed about three weeks ago and we love it. This is a Series 5 model and the one thing that we dont like about it is the fact that the knobs got that little blue marker at the top and we thought it would lit up when you turn it on to show that its on, but they dont. Its there just to show the off position. We do have the LED lights under the panel that come on, but youve gotta physically look at every knob to make sure that theyre in the off position to make sure its not on a really low simmer where you cant see the flames. They should put a light on each one of those knobs to show when you turn it on. Other than that, it’s performing well. We cook a lot on it.I looked at some of the other models that were less expensive. Some of them were half the price but then, I looked at the consumer reviews and the people that were giving it 4 or 5 stars were only about 60%. But the Viking Range was in the high 90s. Some of these other ranges look good, but according to a lot of the customers who had bought them, they didnt function properly. So that was the main driving force for going with a Viking.

The builder selection for our new house was a Viking Model RVDR3301 Range. The range burners are very difficult to control and it is easy to overheat what you are cooking. The simmer functionality is very non-linear and if you’re not careful the burner will go out. Cleaning the range top requires dismantling the burners, which have some delicate parts. The oven temperature takes forever to preheat and the temperature varies quite a bit. Initially it would varied much as 50 degrees at 300 and the average temperature was off by 25 degrees. Even after two adjustments to correct the offset it still makes cooking delicate things like a cake difficult and everything seems to take longer to cook. The window in the oven door fogs up if you are cooking anything moist making it difficult to see what’s going on in the oven. And the chrome plating came off the oven racks and they needed to be replaced under warranty.

The freezer part on our Viking was working fine but the refrigerator part has got a sensor that is not working and we’re having our third service call on it today. We’ve only lived in this house for a month. Viking’s customer service has been okay but they are in Mississippi and it is another one of these 30-minute phone calls. The service people are actually not Viking employees. They are a contracted company and they have been very good. They diagnosed it the first time, had to order a part, put it in and it is still doing it, so they are coming back today to see if they can fix it. I got the impression from the service people that there was a known problem with this fridge because when they called, they said that their tech support people knew what it was right off the bat. So Viking might have a problem they need to fix. Viking is suboptimal.

My husband and I like to cook a lot and we like the high BTUs. Viking is known for quality, and we also like the elegant style of the range. We did a professional kitchen with a remodel and really liked it. My husband likes the Viking ranges ability to sear steaks. He actually likes the steaks in the oven better than on the grill now. The only thing I dont like about the oven is when you close the door, it really wants to close. The first time I went to close it, it slipped out of my hand and it slammed shut. You have to really hold on to the door, unlike other stoves where theres some tension at the end and it wont shut all the way until you push it to close. Other than that, Ive put some water on the stove and I was amazed. I put it on the front burner, the high BTUs, and the water heated up. It was boiling within a couple of minutes and it was very nice to be able to have the features that allow it to work as well as it does. Weve enjoyed the range and I would recommend it.

I like that Viking products are made in the USA, and so I had their products in a previous home too. We also decided to buy an entire Viking kitchen for our guesthouse. That includes a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, wine cooler, and microwave drawer. However, we had a problem with the dishwasher and Viking took almost nine months on it. They ended up having to replace it because the technician messed the other one up.Our refrigerator has also been leaking at the bottom for the last five months. The thing is its in the guesthouse and it’s hardly used. The parts that have issues are all under warranty of about six to eight years. Ive been dealing with a gentleman from Viking who has been trying to get technicians down here. One tech took off the door as well as the back panels, and now the door wont close and it leaks on both sides instead of one. It’s very frustrating because other than that one tech who came, I’ve still yet to get another one to come and look at the refrigerator and were about ready to throw it out on the street. My liking of Viking has always been the cooktops or ranges. In fact, I just had my 60-inch installed in my kitchen in the main house. I still like the product. Its just very frustrating to deal with customer service. Their service and follow-up is horrendous and I would not recommend it to anybody. Ive been in the restaurant business for 30 years and people respect the opinion. They sent the wrong person to do the installation and left a scratch on the floor. Ive been using my Viking range for six months and I like the look of it. However, it makes a large banging noise every time I turn on the oven and they told me that its normal. Also, its a product thats so expensive but weve already had one issue where two of the burners didnt light. So they came and fixed the burners within a week. Their customer service team was fantastic and I had a really good experience with them.

Viking had been recommended by several people including our son and daughter-in-law who had one for a long time. The range we received over two years ago turned out to be just froth with a series of problems and we had various Viking repair out there. We received a factory replacement about two months ago and theres been one little igniter issue. But that was fixed and were back on board again. If it wasnt for the repairmen who knew our problem, we still wouldnt have one. We would have thrown it away. It was terrible. We just plainly could not continue with a device that was so unpredictable. The oven knobs got incredibly hot and the fan was really noisy. And it repeatedly would shut itself off. I would never buy a Viking stove again. And the one we have now is working much better. It shut itself off, but it was the igniter and the repairman fixed it. But the knobs dont get hot and the fan is extremely quiet. And thats so much nicer than we the one we had that was extremely noisy which almost shake the house.Viking made some changes with their service and repair facility and model. They went to an outside supplier that made multiple visits but had no knowledge of Viking as far as training. But when we finally got to the Viking employee that takes care of the State of Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska, he has been great. If it wasnt for him, we probably wouldnt have that stove anymore. We went through a lot and there was not a lot of support from Viking. I started keeping a log on Microsoft Word and its now over eight pages. And of all the various different calls, their replies, the kept emails that are incredible. But anyway, its just been a long journey. You got more than what you want to know.I went on Facebook at one time on their website to say how much trouble I had had and they replied with, Oh, well call your Viking such and such. We dont want this to happen. But it didnt do any good.

We had a built-in grill when we moved into the house about 40 years ago. We then replaced that and got a 24-inch Viking grill. When we decided to get a new stove, we wanted to match it up. Previously we had an electric stove. We checked other things like BlueStar, but we liked the looks and the style of Viking so we selected it. Its great and the heat of the range is so much even and it works so much better. The temperature control is really nice and I like the one pullout rack which is really convenient. The product is also easy to clean. I lift up the racks on top of this each day and I can dust underneath there. You can take the ceramic tops or the steel tops off the burners as well. It’s really nice and so much better than electric. It also looks like a million bucks and will never go out of style. It always looks like a professional item and is classy looking too. Its the best there is. The installers did an excellent job and we had all the trim pieces. We inquired about getting a broiler from them but Viking doesnt make them anymore. I’m going to have to have some Viking products when we move. I was in the Fire Department before I retired and all the fire stations had Viking grills and gas stoves. There were about 8-burner stoves and that’s where I first saw them. They always worked well. I am thankful for Vikings good products and am appreciative of them. I’d highly recommend Viking.

I owned a 48-inch Thermador that we bought 20 years ago. Some of the burners were going out, and so we started researching for a new one. I bought my Viking range on the 27th of July. When I got my range, I never got a manual. I called and spoke with a gal. She told me I could download it. Its like 30 something pages. I paid $12,000 for a range and theyre telling me I need to download 30 something pages for me to have a manual? After fighting with me, she said she would have someone send me a manual. But Ive never received a manual. I like my range though and I definitely like it better than my Thermador. Its easier to clean too.

When looking at other competitors of theirs, Vivint could step the design up a little bit. But for the price point, the refrigerator is doing what I would expect it to be doing. I havent had any issues in comparison to other issues Ive had or are having with Vikings other products such as the freestanding range. The performance has not been as expected. Ive been having some issues with the oven specifically and the griddle not working. Theyve sent some technicians multiple times who tried to fix it but its still not working. Im trying out to see about getting a replacement or refund since it’s been over four times now. Theyre easy to contact so Ill give them a 10 or an A+ for that but the follow up is lacking. Im having to follow up with them as to whats going. Ive recently had to request an escalation to try to get information because they dont have much to go by based off of what theyre waiting on with their contracted vendor.

We owned a Viking Range years ago, and this is our second one. We purchased our first Viking from Fergusons and they had to take the stove back because somebody on the assembly line didn’t put the installation which was supposed to be there. The Viking team had to totally remove the stove and bring us a different one, and that was the first and only negative experience that we had. Then we moved to Arizona and when we got there, we had a stove top, so we ended up selling the stove. When we moved back to Atlanta, we wanted to get another stove, and my wife wanted to buy a Wolf. She already ordered the Wolf but I canceled the order because the Wolf stove look was like four little red dots and didn’t have any character or personality on the front of it. Its performance may have been comparable or even better than the Viking but I didn’t like its bland look, so I decided to get another Viking. The people that delivered it this year were very professional. They bolted it down the way they were supposed to and they took their time and did everything right. I don’t remember them bolting down the first one that we got. I just remember them sliding it in and they never put that secure bracket on the back, which they did this time. That safety bracket was supposed to be there because that’s a very heavy stove that may fall over. I love the quality as well as the performance and style of the Viking range. It has a high-end, tough look to it and high-intensity burners. It’s the best stove sold in the market and it’s worth the money.

I had a Viking in the home I purchased and based on the existing refrigerator I had, they offered me a discount to stay with them. The older refrigerator was not very good at all. The models that were manufactured between 2001 and 2007 were total crap. And they knew there were problems. The owners had significant repairs and costs. I had issues with the thermostat, compressor, evaporator, and hardware falling off. The evaporator was 1,500 bucks to replace and Ive done that twice. When it came down for replacement, Viking offered us a 40% discount to stay with them and give their product another chance. So far, Im very pleased with the new refrigerator. Their representatives were very helpful and I like the people from Middleby. Ive had a very good experience with Viking.

We had Sub-Zero in our previous house and we were thinking about buying Sub-Zero again but Viking had a promotion, which was if you bought so many appliances, for every dollar over $10,000 that you spent, you get a 10% rebate. It pushed the cost in our favor so we got their unit. The first fridge that they sent had some damages on it and was making a loud noise. The damages were in the white parts on the inside of the unit, and it was something they could not repair. ApppliancesConnection.com, the place where I bought the unit, asked me to send pictures, and I did all that. Then, they sorted all that to the Viking rep. Viking made me an offer, but it was not a large enough discount to make me want and take it. I told them that if they want to make a more substantial financial offer, I would consider taking the damaged one. However, they never got back to me. I had to chase them down for weeks. I called again and again and they told me that the woman who was working on it doesnt do that anymore. Finally, I was like, “You know what, forget it, I’m not taking the offer. Just come out and replace it.” So they came out and took care of its replacement and the new one they sent has been fantastic. Overall, Im satisfied with my experience. Everything got handled pretty quickly and got fixed. However, if there was any way that Vikings could make a refrigerator that has filtered water, that would be a bonus. That was the only feature that we could not get in the Viking fridge and we really miss having it.

Weve had several visits already for the fridge that we bought from Viking even though its still under warranty. Right after it was installed, the ice and water features were not working. They came out a couple of times for that and eventually they figured it out and fixed it. Then more recently, the unit completely died and it turned out to be the board for the inverter was bad. But the thing thats maddening is how long it took for them to come and fix it. The parts were in stock but it took three days to have the order put in and then these cant be shipped fast. We were without a fridge for two weeks. That to me is a poor customer service. Luckily we had a spare fridge in the garage that we kind of lived out of for two weeks. If somebodys fridge breaks, they should ship that thing via FedEx. They should come, fix it and not screw around. Then just this week, the ice thing was not working. I figured it out when somebody in the house that looks at appliances noticed that where the water is coming out to make the ice is completely frozen. I would think twice buying another Viking.

This does not include repairs or parts. If it takes a second trip, I pay another $200 trip charge. I bought a Viking dishwasher in 11/2009. A year and a half into owning this, the racks rusted and dishwasher needed some major service. Four years into ownership, racks rusted again and the control panel had to be replaced because the dishwasher would not run past 5-10 minutes and would blink fill error according to service person. This happened on Christmas morning with a house full of company. Then in 3/2013, the drain pump failed. Part was ordered. The service person had to pull dishwasher out of its space and then realized it would take at least 3 hours to repair, costing upwards of $300. We had already spent that much in previous repairs. So a $2,000 dishwasher less than 5 years old is going to the junk pile! Also, I contacted Viking customer service with no response from them to provide an explanation or help! Unacceptable from a supposedly big name quality product supplier! Quality rating is zero!

We own several high end Viking range products - a professional series wine cellar, a professional series steam/convection oven and a professional series microwave. We installed these in mid-2009 into a new home we built. All had several months of downtime on more than one occasion, while parts were on order. First, the trim kits on the stacked microwave and steam oven did not and still do not match, very noticeable difference that 3 subsequent replacements never addressed (we were copied on an email form the regional manager that the Swiss sourced steam oven never matched, but no one gave a rats **). The compressor on the $7,500 wine cellar failed (2-3 months waiting for parts), then the motherboard on the steam oven failed (3 months), then the control panel on the microwave (3 months). Now the microwave does not work again. The steam oven failed a 2nd time. Does it ever get any worse? You bet. The servicing company hates dealing with Viking. They are put on hold for 30-40 minutes constantly and advised us to never ever buy another Viking range product. As I am also a CEO, I am absolutely appalled by the deplorable quality across the spectrum provided by this company. We also have Miele, Asko, SubZero and LaCanche products in our kitchen - all have performed flawlessly. Viking range should be avoided at all costs.

I started my degree in design and have always been very into design, form, function and how things look. I go through all the magazines and when I saw Viking the first time, I thought I wanted those in my home. One of the main reasons I loved the Viking is because it’s very simple, the lines are very sleek, and elegant. I went to an appliance dealer in Spokane, Washington and the salesman showed me all of the appliances. Wolf is a little intense for me. Six months later, we had to hone in on what we were gonna put in the house and so we went to that dealership in Bend, Oregon. I kept bringing Viking up and the rep kept taking me away from it. He said the brand doesnt update and doesnt have anything new and fancy with their machine. But thats why I want it. I don’t want anything fancy. There’s not even a clock on my stove. First I was kind of taken aback and I thought, “Oh, I have to use my own timer.” Now that I’ve used it, it’s what I love about it. There’s none of those pieces that often have problems down the road. The temperature is very true to the dial. I have a thermostat in there and when I put it on 350 and I wait 30 minutes, it’s at 350. The refrigerator doesn’t have the water feature that a lot of refrigerators have. When I open it up, it’s incredibly bright and it’s like the heavens open up. You just see everything. I’ve noticed that I can also keep vegetables or fruits in the compartment for a longer period of time than I’ve been able to in the past. It’s interesting how many people have come in to look at the house and they’ve all made comments on Viking. It just works so well and accentuates everything else that is in this kitchen.

I was in a time crunch so I had to make a split-second decision, and I heard that Viking had pretty good reviews. This was the first range I got as a six-burner gas range and it was horrible. Whenever we would turn on the oven, it would make a loud banging noise like a gunshot in my house. The repairman came out and drilled holes in the bottom of my new unit. He said that would fix it because of the expansion of the heat heating up the metal. He did that and left, and afterwards it was worse than before. This was a $7,000 unit that was recommended by one of the Viking people. We went back and forth with Viking and they sent out a new one. The new one came after a couple of weeks of arguing, and the top was all scratched. The black part of the iron grates was peeling off. I opened the door and the door was bent. There was a quarter-inch gap you could see on the installation inside. I finally had them take it back again and I tried getting my money back. They didn’t reimburse me the whole thing for some reason, so I lost $800 on the deal. I went with a whole new different range. I would not recommend them and I would never purchase another Viking product.

I bought a house and a Viking range was already selected by the builder. So
I bought a house and a Viking range was already selected by the builder. So far, I already had to call out the technicians because some of the rings did not ignite properly with the spark. It seems the igniter is extremely fussy about the distance of the conductor the spark starts from to either the inner circle where the gas comes out of or the outer circle, which is to stop the food dropping down into your stove. They are two pieces of metal and if its too close to either one of them, then the spark does not travel enough distance in the air to actually ignite the gas. Basically, you cant switch on the gas using that igniter. Its a bit of a pain in the neck. When it stops igniting, you have to go and try and work out if it is too close to the inside or to the outside. You try and bend the thing. It would be really good if they had a bit of a more reliable electronic ignition for the rangetop.I also got the microwave, the refrigerator, and the dishwasher. The refrigerator came with a dent in the door while the dishwasher has some sort of plastic piece that is hanging down from the door. The door that you open to the dishwasher is hanging there. I dont know whether it wasnt installed properly. Ive looked in the installation manual and it doesnt tell you what to do about what that is or where it should connect. The other thing about the dishwasher is its a little on the noisy side. We had a Bosch 800 series before that and that was near silent. We had Miele before that and that sorta cleaned better than the Viking one does. The microwave has a bit of a strange design. Its one of those drawer microwaves so you’re below the waist level. Its not very easy to see what buttons to press. The most common thing you want to be able to do is to be able to open the microwave drawer but its really hard. With every single button, theres no way to feel without getting down, bending, and looking for where the open button is. Its not in an obvious place. Its doesnt stick out at all and you cant do it by touch.Bizarrely, there is a separate open button and a close button. Why on earth do you need that? They could have just had a double-sized button that combined both. You might actually have a chance of pressing it without going searching for it. There is a bit of a usability problem. In order to open or close the microwave, you have to locate these tiny buttons that are the same size as all of the other buttons. And theyre right in the middle of the touchpad so its not something you can find without looking.

Like many of the reviews here, our Viking French Door fridge was a lemon and so is the new one that showed up after 6 months of service calls and spoiled food. I have now heard from a service person and the appliance delivery men that I am not alone in my issues, which are detailed by many other reviews here. I have wasted 16+ hours of my life talking to Viking and waiting for service calls. Not to mention the $100s of lost due to spoiled food from the freezing in the back of the fridge. The fact that ice spills out onto the floor every time I open the freezer is a design flaw I could have lived with, but this is unacceptable. Built my entire kitchen around this fridge and now I need to figure out how to replace it. Do yourself a favor - the reviews are true - dont buy this fridge. We upgraded our kitchen with all Viking appliances a couple of years ago, and I have never been so disappointed in a product line. All of the major appliances (refrigerator, stove and dishwasher) had to be serviced within the first year. The refrigerator has been serviced twice, the dishwasher three times and Im waiting as I write this for a call back from the service technician whom I paid $400 for repairs last week. On a positive note, the microwave works fine, but the trim at the base fell off of it, so I threw it away. The trim, not the microwave.Obviously there is a quality control issue that I am told Viking is working to resolve. In the meantime, my problem is the availability of servicing. The closest and ONLY certified Viking repair technician is an hour away (though the closest Viking distributor is 10 minutes away). Even though my appliances are out of warranty, I still have to rely on a Viking repair tech because Viking makes it nearly impossible for anyone else to service their appliances. If they cant make the stuff work right, youd think that they might at least Make it possible to get it fixed, since its obviously not a rare occurrence. We needed a new fridge, and we heard that Viking was a good model, so we decided to buy it. But ever since we’ve had it, it has been giving us nothing but a problem. We’re working with Best Buy to have it replaced as soon as they can get us a different model or unit, not even Viking. The compressor seems to be humming a lot louder and unusually higher. So it’s this annoying, high-pitched hum that we constantly hear. Also, the alignment of the bottom freezer drawer is a bit off. They tried to replace it with different Viking units from different warehouses, but all of the refrigerators had the exact same problem. So we did not go with a replacement, and we came to a mutual decision that we’re gonna have the Viking taken back by Best Buy and have it replaced by a completely different brand. We got the 36-inch freestanding unit and it is absolutely not one I would recommend. Best Buy asked us to reach out to the manufacturer directly, and they came over and saw the unit, and they didn’t really do anything. They told us that they were not gonna be able to help or do anything here and that we just have to talk to Best Buy. So while they were polite, they were utterly useless.

After we got the replacement range, January 31st, it worked fine up until this past weekend and now, its not working. So, Im waiting for someone to come out again to fix it.But their customer service is terrible. When I first called back in November for my Viking Range, they said, Okay. Were going to hook you up with a service provider. Then they called me back and said, Oh, theres no service provider in your area that service. So I had to wait but no one ever got back to me saying that they found one. Then right before Thanksgiving, I got a phone call at 8:00 at night and it was a service provider who was running late at a job, but theyre coming over to look at my oven. I didnt even know anyone was coming but after the tech came, he said he was going to order the part. So, it should be in after Thanksgiving. I waited. On the following Monday, I called the service provider to see if the parts have come in. I didnt get a call back so I called again. Finally, they called me back after an hour. The tech said he didnt have my stuff because he wasnt in the office. So, he would call me back the next day. But no one called me back. This went on for about a week. And then finally they said, Were going to schedule service. They did schedule a certain day, but nobody showed up. I called again several times and finally, they said, All right. We can do it we think on Friday. This is a Friday. Im like, No. You think or you can? Oh, no. Were going to do it on Friday. Well call you in the morning and let you know exactly what time that theyll be there. Well, they never called me in the morning. So, by noon, I called Viking. The lady said, she was going to try to figure it out. Call me back. Well, I never heard from Viking, but I heard back from the service provider that they were going to send someone. When the person came, he was at my house for five hours and he was asking my 16-year old son to help him move the oven because he couldnt do it by himself. He took the whole oven apart and he said, after he had it all apart, Oh, they gave me the wrong part. So, he put the whole oven back together and obviously it didnt work. And hes telling me that hes not a licensed person. He was a student doing the boss of the company a favor. So I freaked out. I didnt want them back at my house so I called Viking again on a Monday. They assured me they were going to look into it, but I never heard back from them. Then finally, the company came. He said, All right. Listen, we ordered the right part. Can you please let us do the same process? Please let our company come back. Well fix it. We have the right part. We know where the part is located. At this point, I just want this fixed so, Im like, Fine. Come. He comes again. And after they supposedly fixed the part, it still didnt work. So, the guy left. I called Viking again, asking for a manager, someone to call me back. But no one ever called me back. I would keep getting new people and they would say, Oh, were going to add you to our list of people. Heres my contact number. But no one ever followed-up with me. And then in mid-December, they sent out a new service provider who looked into whats wrong with it. They then ordered the part and came back. They fixed it and the oven would stay hot, but the broiler still didnt work. It would turn on for 50 seconds and then shut off and never come back on. So I called back Viking to tell them its not working. They said they have to wait for the report from Mr. Appliance. So I called Mr. Appliance to tell them to send the report. They said they did and the lady said, You need a replacement range. But they dont want to replace it because its very expensive. So, finally after numerous attempts through Viking, I called one more time because the next time, I was going to call an attorney because this is insane. Its over six weeks that it hasnt been working since I initially made my first phone call and theyve sent people out four different times from two different companies. So, finally I got in touch with the lady who said that shes going to help me. She said that I was going to be getting a replacement. It finally came through at the end of January because they still had to order it. It was installed January 31st, but over Easter it, breaks again. An igniting problem. So the oven wont turn on at all. I have people over and Im not able to cook because the oven is not working. There are only so many things you can cook on top of the stove. So I called Viking. So since I bought my range, every holiday it does not work. I called every day from Monday to Wednesday and each day, nobody calls back. And this time, Im beyond frustrated. If this was a $300 range, I would have thrown it out already and bought another one. Im on the phone with this lady rep and Im desperately telling her, I already know exactly what youre going to say. Youre going to give me your direct number and its going to the escalation team. Someone will definitely call me back. I told her, Nobody calls me back, thats the thing. They dont call me. They dont email me. Nothing. Not were working on it. Just like dead. Nothing. She promised me that she would be different and so far she has. I told her that the regional manager never called me back. Ive asked, speak to him numerous t imes, No one ever called me back. So, she said, Hold on. Im going to call the escalation team or whoever sends out servicers. And I dont know what they told her because when she got back on the phone she said, I didnt like the answer they told me. So, Im going to take this to my supervisor, I promise Ill call you back. She did email me and her supervisor called me twice and they did have a service provider call me. And over the phone they tried to figure out what the problem is. Telling me to try to do different things. And they ordered the part that they think is the problem with this range. And now, Im waiting for it to come in. But still, no working range. These people except for the most recent lady that I spoke to, have no compassion, no understanding. I didnt buy a used one. And when you spent that money, you expect a higher quality of merchandise. Im a reasonable person, and I understand sometimes, things have flukes. But I cannot get over the horrendous customer service. So far the lady has lived up to what she said shes going to do. She responds to my email which is a plus because no one else ever did that. But at this point, would I ever buy a Viking again? Absolutely freaking not. And I wouldnt even want one for free. Because if something goes wrong with it, you cannot even get through to try to get it taken care of. That is the most aggravating part besides from it not working. I dont expect to snap my fingers and the service provider would be in my house. But with this range, even when I had the problems with the first one, I had to demand and get irate that I wanted a new one. After the second service provider came and it still didnt work, at that point they should have been like, Youve already been without an oven for six weeks now during the holidays. Youve missed Christmas, Thanksgiving and youre going to miss New Years at this point too. So, you know what? We are just going to send you a replacement. It was still another month after Christmas that I got my replacement. And I originally called Viking to complain about the issue, November 15th. So, from before November all the way until the end of January, no oven.

We love the range! I had a Dacor range before but my Viking now is better.
We love the range! I had a Dacor range before but my Viking now is better. It is more expensive, but its a far superior range. I could have gotten a less expensive one but we went with them based on their reputation. Ive known about Viking Ranges and its a high-quality product. I got the basic one that had a self-cleaning. Then, I also bought a griddle, and I love it too.

I put in a claim and they gave me a claim number and a company was supposed to call and set up that they were coming but they never called me. But when I spoke to someone else, they told me to try to clean it out real good and maybe something boiled over. Once I did that, it actually stopped making the noise. So I dont have any complaints. I like my Viking Range and it cooks evenly. I have the convection oven and its good. It boils fast. Its more like commercial style than what my old oven was.
