We had seen Viking ranges in different homes when we were looking to buy a home. So, when we decided to build a home, we wanted to go ahead with the Viking product because we did a lot of research and we thought it had a lot of good ratings and a lot of customers were happy with the product. We like the features on the Viking and the overall performance was really highly rated. Our builder sent us to the source that he uses, Galleria. It is in Picayune, Mississippi and we went to the store and purchased ours there. Glenda was the lady we dealt with and she was very accommodating, knowledgeable, and helpful. The quality of our range is very nice. We just moved into our new home. I have the owner’s manual sitting by my chair at night but I havent read a whole lot. But what I’ve been using I’ve been enjoying.

We were looking at all the high end range brands and went into Best Buy and had a look at Viking. We liked what we saw and the price was more economical for the quality that we get compared to the others. We had a very good sales rep who was able go into detail about a Viking range and what to expect from it versus a lower end priced brand. He explained things like how to clean the oven and how high heat with the self-cleaning ovens would typically end up destroying the integrity of the inside enameling. He gave a variety of information about little details that we would not think of.We got the series 5 which is easy to clean and does not deteriorate compared to the standard stove. It also cooks differently as theres an even heat. Plus, it also comes with the pull-out drawer in the oven which I love. My only two gripes is my particular series doesn’t come with a timer where I can time the temperature within the oven or have a timer right there on my stove if I’m baking a cake. We went back a second time looking for the timer and the salesman said it’s been discontinued and was only available to a certain model. The other one is I can’t seem to remove any stains from the golden-looking metal that extrudes from the surface of the stove top where the burner is without scratching it. I’ve used soap and water and I’m afraid to do anything else because I don’t wanna destroy the surface. Other than those, it’s a nice-looking range.

We had built a new home and were interested in top of the line appliances. Wolf and Viking Ranges stood out, but we decided to go with Viking since we got a good price from them and it fits what I was looking for. I got a six-burner range, a grill and two ovens from them. In my kitchen, I have a total of three ovens since we do a lot of the holiday stuff here. It works out beautifully when I’m doing Thanksgiving, Christmas or when I’m trying to cook a big meal. I have enough room for everything. The top is gas and the ovens are electric. I love the fact that I have a griddle there. Everyone can be working on something so it works out well for my family. We’ve had a good experience, up until were trying to get the small oven fixed. We had a problem with it and a chip needed to be replaced. So we had the workman out and were waiting for him to replace it. We had to argue a little to get them to come out to fix what was wrong and that was a bit of a problem. I got upset but my husband managed to calm down and get them to do what they needed to do to repair the oven. But Im still waiting for it to be fixed.

The quality of Viking Ranges is excellent. When I called their customer service and asked them, Will your stove do this? Will your range perform this?, they were able to answer my question and point me directly, and they have always been like that. In all the 8 or 9 months I’ve owned the range, I have not had anything outside of that. It has been consistent and direct. I’m very lucky to have had that Viking. It’s a really great piece of equipment and I chose it for its performance. There isnt one thing that I do in there that is subpar. I had a JennAir for 20 years before that so I knew the professional-level range. I was expecting it to be good. I wasn’t expecting it to be great, and it was great. Somebody would say, “Oh my goodness, you paid $10,000 for a range.” I did, but it performs. It does exactly what it says it does. It’s beautiful to look at too. It’s like a work of art. One of the best features of the range is the clean-up because you get cooking, start grilling this, sauteeing this, doing a sauce here and things spill and oil starts flying. And I can have that stovetop and everything wiped down and done in under 10 minutes which is a blessing. The range has to be the easiest range I’ve ever had to clean. I cook a lot in the kitchen. I make everything - my own pastas, my own bread rolls, crackers, soups and soup bases. I do everything on that and I grill. I do pastries and brioches. I do all sorts of stuff in there that everybody says the degree of difficulty is extreme, yet the results on these things are superior in that stove. Dinners and everything are like works of art. It’s like somehow my cooking went from being good to superior, and it’s that range.I also bake pies. As a matter of fact, I just made 12 dozen butter tarts. Never in my whole life have I ever baked a pastry at 325 degrees. It’s always 400 or 425. So, the first time I baked a pie, I’m looking at the Viking book, and theyre saying, 325, X amount of minutes. I thought it was insane. It has to be wrong. So I went to my old habits and baked it at 400. The results were abysmal. It was overbaked on the outside and raw on the inside. I did it again and I did it according to Viking. It was the best I have ever made in my whole life and that was where I then really sat down and started to read everything and anything I could on Viking and how to use this piece of equipment with optimum.I would recommend this range. My only thing is this is a professional-level range so theres a learning curve on it because it performs differently than a 799 General Electric special. This is like buying a Ferrari and thinking you’re driving a Chevy Volt. Theyre totally different things. The shame is that Viking is not out there more. They don’t have a place to really promote it. I looked at them all and I almost went with a Wolf. It was between Wolf and Thermador. What almost got me to go to Wolf was their pizza setting and they have a pizza stone. I sat down and I thought I really wanted that Viking, and I thought back of all the reasons why I wanted it. I had to search to see who was selling it. I couldnt find anybody in Canada. It was Bryan from Middleby Group that helped me.Bryan answered my questions immediately. If he said it, it was done. It was none of this backstepping or trying to fluff over or trying to play me like I was stupid. However, I will never use Corbeil, the company who they shipped it to, again. Their product knowledge and support were poor. Their ability to answer questions, even simple ones, was non-existent. And not only that, when I went into Corbeil and gave them feedback that the Viking Range is superior, the store manager said right to my face, Oh, this is a piece of crap. We won’t even sell these.Because the feedback from Corbeil was so poor, I was really apprehensive and unsure of myself and insecure when I first got Viking. I thought maybe I made the wrong choice but I didnt. It bakes bread to perfection. Pizza, 375 on my pizza stone, is the best. It rivals a pizza oven which my in-laws have. And I can get better results in my Viking than they get in their pizza oven, so you don’t lose anything. On Viking, they have a defrost cycle and a dehydrate cycle which are fabulous. The top burners are also ever fabulous. I wasn’t gonna get the sealed unit. I was gonna get an all-gas unit. Bryan said to me, “But you bake and you do this a lot. Get the dual fuel. You’ll be very happy with it,” and I’m really glad I did. He listened to me and he was able to guide me into making my choice. He knew his product. He was just a joy. He’s VP for all of Canada, and he answered or returned my call. He was so good.I have nothing but great things to say about Viking and I don’t understand why the appliance centers are abysmal. And it’s not just for Viking. It’s for all of them. They don’t know their product and it’s whatever theyre pushing at the time. This is why you get consumers who get the product in their house, and theyre like, “What the heck is this? This is a piece of garbage.” It degrades very quickly. The least little thing is a complaint, is a complaint, is a complaint. And it has nothing to do with these manufacturers but everything to do with those showrooms. I told my husband if I were new to the professional level, I would probably choose a Series 3. That’s a very nice-looking range. Probably 20 years ago, that’s what I wouldve chosen. Today, I’m dying to get into that Series 7. Because we’re thinking of moving in the next year, I’d have to do that Tuscany one. That’s a really beautiful one too. But I’m dying to get into the Series 7, the big honking one. My JennAir from my other home was quite large, but it was cumbersome, and the results were unpredictable. It was also difficult to clean. And I’ve experienced none of that with the Viking. It’s like coming out of purgatory and going into heaven.

We got Viking since its locally available in an emergency situation. I like the quick heating time, the surface plates, and the oven temperature of our range. However, we called out the local retailer as the flame seemed to do a lot of fluttering and we didnt know why. Thats a little bit of a bother to us and theyre coming out this week. We think itll be just an adjustment, but right now, its kinda come down.

Viking DDSF036 SS Counter depth side x side. The door was opened on the fridge side and one of the glass shelves shattered into little pieces. I called Viking to replace the shelf, no problem. Now 2 months later after my credit card was charged months ago and jerking me around they are telling me that they cant make or get the shelf. Needless to say, I will NEVER buy another Viking Appliance again. Now I have to go out and buy a new fridge because this part isnt available anywhere and YES I have tried everywhere to find it.

When we remodeled the house two years ago, we put in all Viking appliances because they were cheaper. Then about a month ago, I got a new fridge from Viking as a warranty replacement. Im not happy about the replacement fridge because the one that I had before was better quality. The quality of the stainless steel of this new one is very marginal. Everything is on the stainless such as fingerprints. Viking also didnt give me options for a water dispenser. Furthermore, it was a very long process to get it replaced. I got the phone call in March and the fridge was eventually replaced in August. The refrigerator that came was damaged with shipping, so they took it out and had to put it all back again. The installers were also not very educated about the product. It wasnt a pleasant experience.

I have an electric oven from Viking Ranges and it works okay. They had somebody who was very good at installing it. The only thing is we have a little problem with taking one of the racks out in the oven. We have no problem with the others and we can pull them out all the way. We have a problem with holding one of them and we thought maybe were doing something wrong. If I cant figure it out, Im going to call somebody to look at it because I have insurance on it.But other than that, I like it. I like that I can go off to the other side on the top and that I could move from one area to another easily. I like that its apple red because I dont like the stainless steel which is so hard to clean. I also like the way the knobs are covered from the top and its size. I like everything about it. My friend also has a Viking and she only has broil and regular bake on it. I like the simpler one but mine has all these other options that Im working on how to figure it out. I recommend it and I already had to a friend because of my experience in New Hampshire.

Purchased Viking 48 wide by side in 2002. Compressor went out within 6 months, thankfully was under warranty. There was a door recall a few years later AND then another recall for those doors! The company that replaced the doors are familiar with Viking fridges and were able to to be somewhat helpful, suggesting we not place anything within 8 inches of any of the interior vents. We have NEVER been able to get the temp right. We have never been able to keep our fruits and veggies in the produce drawers as they become frozen. If we turn the temp down the milk goes bad, etc. Several of interior the plastic parts have broken under normal use: handle portion of ice maker drawer broke off in my hand, lid of bottom meat/produce drawer snapped off. Now the fridge lights have gone out (all simultaneously.) Try going to the Viking site to find a manual or worse yet parts. Everything there is SO difficult! They sent us a manual and I was able to download two, but none of them show the same control panel as what we have, since when there was a door recall, we received a new control panel as well... I feel sorry for the people that work for Viking. I will never purchase another Viking product. We purchased a high end Thermador range and KitchenAid Micro-Convection oven the same year and have had no problems with those appliances!

Ive always heard Viking was the best and Im happy with my Viking fridge. But Ive had to have it serviced a few times already. The fans inside keep freezing up. Ive had to have all the warranty work done twice already and I don’t even think Ive been in this house three years yet. The first time they came out, they had to replace the fans and the second time, all of them were frozen up. But the tech was able to service the fans and got it working again. Im also happy with the customer service that the guy that I bought the appliances from is giving me. He puts me right on top of the list, takes care of me and keeps me up and running again. It is a little bit of a disappointment. I paid almost $18,000 but the guys from Certified Appliance were good.

However, the handle on my oven door broke so I put in a service request over a month ago and their technician came and ordered the parts for the door, and I havent heard from them since. All the fans are not working either. It makes a loud noise and it doesnt heat up properly. I have no oven for over a month now and I cant get anyone to come over and fix it. I have three teenagers and I cant entertain, and I wasnt able to entertain last Easter. I sent a nasty email last week and they told me that the parts take a long time to order so Im not a happy camper. I would have been happy with it, but I cant use it. I bought it last July so it hasnt been a year yet. I think its a discontinued model thats why its giving me the trouble.

We bought a house in 2011 that had a 36 Viking gas range. The kitchen had been remodeled the year before so the appliances were all practically new, and the old owners asked us to pay for them separately. Im so glad we didnt, because this Viking stove is a piece of junk. We have twice had it stop working and it took a long time to get it fixed because the Viking specialists wanted to charge us an arm and a leg just to come look at the appliance. I have never known anyone who has had fuses just stop working on their oven -- this happened to us. Then, we discovered this winter that the igniter was melting onto the burner, which was triggering the whole unit to turn off for safety. This started happening when we were throwing a dinner party and I was trying to cook for 25 people. We got it fixed but it still sometimes doesnt heat up reliably. I would never recommend Viking products based on our experience with this stove. I never know if it will heat up as it should or if I will just have to figure out another way to cook my food. Its been totally horrible.

We just received a new Viking VDR5486GSS $13,419 dollar 48 Inch 5 Series Stainless Steel Dual Fuel Freestanding Range and we can’t even use it. Right from the factory it has two left the burners that leak gas, a main door oven that’s out of alignment and can’t be realigned as per service tech and a middle support piece that was missing screws and bent in. Called Viking and they are closed until January 2 which has ruined our Christmas and New Years plans. Then the 3rd party service company that does warranty work ** says the part will not be in until February yet the Viking rep I spoke to says all the ten parts are in stock but their company is closed until January 2nd. Customer service was nice and tried to get the parts expedited but failed to tell me that the 3rd party service provider needed to put the order in before 4:30 pm on Thurs Dec 20 because they closed the warehouse on Dec 21st.We just tried to bake biscuits in what is supposed to be the only working part, the oven in plain old bake mode. The top heating element comes on which burned the biscuits. The user manual shows that only the bottom element is supposed to come on. Extremely disappointed in this product and I just want to throw it in the trash as that is where it belongs. Something that costs $13,419 before tax should not have these rudimentary quality control issues. The Viking employees that built this trash should be ashamed of themselves! I can get a better quality product from the Big Box stores for a fraction of the cost.

The Viking Range was installed in our home and it’s been very high-quality. My favorite feature is the even heating, baking, and the temperature control. We did have to have someone come and service it though. The issue was that one of the sensors for starting the oven was incorrectly tuned so it wouldn’t catch to start. We contacted a certified service provider that was in our area that we found using their tool on the website. The technician came and fixed that fairly easily. And it was also very easy to contact the technician. And they were very helpful in terms of organizing the service. It was also still under warranty. Overall, we were very satisfied with the appliance.

I purchased a Viking refrigerator in 2006 and have had nothing but problems. Weve had thousands of dollars of repairs including replacement for several plastic pieces for over $750. In 30 years, Ive never replaced an interior part on a refrigerator. Viking said the interior pieces are only under warranty for 30 days. Relays have been replaced, the motherboard, and in October the compressor died and was still under warranty. The part was promised by Hadco and then rescinded. It took well over 3 months for the part to come into the dealer. Meanwhile, I had to buy a new refrigerator. I was supposed to go through Thanksgiving and Christmas without a working refrigerator. After the part was finally sent, they sent a customer satisfaction survey. Why they bother, I do not know. They have the worst product and service I have ever encountered. I will never buy another Viking product. Ive shared my experience with everyone I can to spare them my inconveniences.

This refrigerator was serviced within a year after purchasing it. The doors started becoming uneven. Two repair men had to remove the door and replace the pin. They do not have factory pins so the door is still slightly uneven and makes a weird sound when its opened. Fast forward to today and the freezer is warm, my food is thawed. I have had nothing but issues with my dishwasher that doesnt dry my dishes, 6 burner range, microwave needed a part. The self cleaning oven doesnt do a good job and the grease is still on the door window. I never imagined that spending top dollar for appliances would be such a headache and so costly. Please, if youre in the market for new appliances, DO NOT buy Viking!

Since they will not service it even after being told that my wife is pregnant and it’s dangerous to operate a broken ceramic electric range top. May 22nd I pay 178 bucks to their agent Oceanic repairs to tell me how to fix the ceramic top of my electric oven which is broken. Now two weeks after repeated calls to their agent and Viking, no one even has told me when it will be fixed. Since it’s dangerous to operate a cracked ceramic oven top, we couldn’t even boil water for two weeks. And probably will have to sit a few more weeks before they will enlighten me when this ceramic top will be fixed. By then, I will be forced to buy another oven, of course never Viking again. Please don’t pay this kind of money for a brand which will take weeks to just tell you when your oven will be fixed.

We had an oven fire over Christmas, and so we bought a new one from Viking. The oven fit and I had a hood already that was Viking, so it was just as simple as replacing what was there. I needed an oven fast, so I went online and found whoever was closest to me, who could bring it in and who had a good deal going on. I got it through Appliance Connection. I spoke to somebody about which one to get and they sorted it out. It was okay. But the installers were a little half-assed. Even so, the quality of the oven is good and solid. There was nothing wrong with it except one of the igniters wasnt working, but I fixed that myself. And there were a few loose parts on it when it came that needed to be sorted out. But Ive had one in the past, and its fine. Its better than most.

We have a condo here and we went to Ferguson, one of these retail stores, to look at the appliances. We liked Viking, so we bought it all from them. They looked elegant and efficient, and I liked the overall design and workmanship. When the bottom line of the refrigerator was making a noise in the back, the guy came over and fixed it. There was no problem, and it took him one minute. Then, another problem we had was that we were making too much ice. We took it out and all of a sudden, we were not making ice anymore. So, we did everything. What happened was that the ice must have frozen in the line. The guy then took it out and fixed that aspect of it, too. Now, everything is fine. It works like a charm and so we like it. It has got everything else in there. We like the Viking electric range too. It is excellent.

The control panel for our double wall mounted Viking range went out two months ago. Since then we have been trying to get it fixed. After a delay of 7 weeks, the part came. The part was defective and we have heard nothing since. I have twice talked to Albert Lee sales people about the company and the miserable record they have for repair. They said they were aware but will continue to sell Viking. When I asked about warning people I got no reply. The repair people are slow but are at the mercy of the company who bought Viking. Mr Selim Bassoul is the culprit at this company Middleby. They bought Viking and immediately the problems started. They closed the Distribution company in Washington and moved all parts supply to California. They bill themselves as the supplier for the entire Southwest. When I tried to explain to the parts tech about my problems, he curtly told me to be quiet and to move ahead. He didnt seem to care what the customers were going through. Its really too bad as they were a great company. Now they are the worst. Stay away at all costs from them and the people who support them.

We went to Best Buy and we decided to buy a Viking refrigerator as I had heard that it was the best product in the market. Weve also had a Viking stove for 10 years. However, the refrigerator we got stopped working one day. It was not freezing. I called Viking and they sent me a company to do the service. They needed a part as there was something wrong with the motor. Now we’re still waiting for that part. So far, we havent had good experiences with the equipment we bought from Viking. The dishwasher we got was a problem also. Now I have to pay $500 because the motor went bad.

Built a home and got all Viking appliances. The dishwasher was included in a special package. I like my french oven and my microwave and 6 burner range top. Theyre fine. The dishwasher I would never purchase again. It is very noisy when its washing. But what really bugs me is the control panel. You cant save any thing like your favor wash cycles. Every time you use it you have to turn it on and press the P button till you get the wash cycle you want then press an F cycle for drying which is like a double switch so Im never sure if I got the right one or not. I should have checked it out better then I never would have bought it.

I had a friend who had Viking ranges and she raved about them. So, I figured I would just go with her recommendation. I like Vikings quality a lot. I had a Viking D3, the older version of this Viking, and this one is significantly better. I just love the level of the flames of the burner, its just consistent and even heating when youre cooking. The Vikings team was great. I actually had no problems at all. I liked the store that I purchased from a lot. The quality is great. I have a Viking oven and a Viking refrigerator, and I love them all. I would recommend them.

I was forced to buy a new refrigerator because my other one died, and it was a choice between Viking, Sub-Zero and KitchenAid. I bought the Viking because of the $1,000 rebate they were having and I also felt like it had more room. I pack my freezer and refrigerators, so it was the design that I was attracted to. So far, its been great and its been a very even temperature. The LED lights are awesome since I can see everything in there. The lady at Bill Smith was very helpful in helping me make the decision. I wanted to make sure the refrigerator was installed right by their installer, so I called them and had them check on things. They were very good. I also got my rebate check finally. The only thing I wish my Viking has was another vegetable drawer because I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, but it only has one vegetable drawer. It has two drawers for cold cuts and cheeses but it only has one crisper and I miss that. Also, after I had this installed, Ive asked several repair people about what they think of Viking. Viking needs to do a better job with them because theyve all said that Sub-Zero is so much better and I shouldve bought the Sub-Z as far as from their point of view.

We got a Viking Refrigerator three months ago. The freezer stopped working, we called the service and the lady who talked to me on the phone was rude. They sent someone and he found that the fan was broke. They came again last week, they ordered a new fan and they put it in. The fan was working, but the problem was not solved. The problem was the freezer temperature was 14 degrees higher than preset. And the refrigerator part, the upper shelf temperature was 10 degrees below the preset, so all the yogurt are frozen. I called them again and they will send another company to fix it. Its an expensive piece we paid for. Its not even as good as the cheap refrigerator we bought from Fensa. I suggest quality control.

Our Viking range has been pretty good and I like the griddle top, but weve had three times now where I don’t know if something is wrong with the board or the plug. It just stops working and we unplug it, put it in a different plug, and it still wont work. We had someone working on the washer and he was here three weeks ago. He said he was going to look into the range, but I haven’t heard back from him so I need to call them.

We like that Vikings were brushed stainless. So, that fits with our current appliances. They have a nice, clean, sort of no-frills look. We got the ceramic top mostly because we dont have any venting in our house, and it would be a real rigamarole to put in. We would have preferred the gas range, but so far, the ceramic range is working really, really well for us. Its easy to clean and it looks nice all the time. It works like a champ, so were really tickled with it.The Vikings dealer was wonderful. Everybody was very knowledgeable, and they understood our specific constraints. Once we saw the Viking line, we really wanted to stay with it, and they were able to match us up with what we needed. We also purchased a Viking dishwasher at the same time and I registered both appliances. During the registration, there were a couple of numbers missing from serial numbers that didnt match up. That was a bit of a hassle, and I couldnt really complete the registration online without some help from tech support. But overall, Im very satisfied with Vikings.

When we remodeled our kitchen I decided to purchase all Viking appliances based on their reputation, and I thought they were built in the US. I have had issues since day one and have never really had anything resolved satisfactorily by Viking. My double oven has slow heating up times, uneven cooking, even on convection, and now has issues with the digital timer. My biggest disappointment however is the refrigerator. I was so excited to have a large all refrigerator in my kitchen. It has had multiple cooling problems since day one. I think the real problem has never been diagnosed and is now so bad that it is not fixable. I have spent over $2000 on repairs and it still doesnt work. The door is simply too heavy for the hinges and will not close in the top left corner. This produces massive condensation on the inside which freezes. It also causes uneven cooling where my vegetables in the crisper at the bottom are frozen and the milk on the middle shelf is warm. We have replaced the gasket and adjusted the hinges but it simply will not close the gap. This is a design problem. Disgraceful for a product that cost over $7000. As of yet Viking seems on interested in resolving a problem. They are certified repair company has said that they are unable to help any further.

Viking seems to have a pretty good reputation. Also, I had a Viking stand-alone refrigerator before that I bought on sale and it was good for years. So, when I saw that they had a floor model sale, I took it as a good opportunity to upgrade. I got another stand-alone refrigerator and its interior design is nice and quite functional. It also seems solid and reliable, like the Viking refrigerator that I had before. Viking Support has been very good, too. When the dealer sent a crew who was not a certified installer and did an extremely poor job, I ended up calling Viking Support and that was when I finally got help. So far, I like the refrigeration part of my current Viking refrigerator, but Im not too pleased that its freezer. It is so noisy and on all the time, which is quite bothersome when it is in the middle of a kitchen or family room area. It did not occur to me when I had the smaller refrigerator that the freezer kicked on all the time. With this one, the compressor kicks on for a few times a day and when I open it, which I find unnecessary. Even in a cool day in Northern California, it would kick on and last for a long time. And I hardly use the freezer. I have called their technical support and the guy said that the freezer does that because it needs defrosting. But why would it need to do that all these times? I was also told that it’s normal, which I find counter intuitive when I hear the freezer cranking more often than I open it. So if thats really not a defect, then it is a very poor design.

Viking 36 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - Do Not Buy!!! My refrigerator was installed 5 weeks ago and for the past 3 weeks the control panel will go blank and it stops cooling in freezer and refrigerator. Randomly starts cooling again then same thing happens. Called Viking who referred to their Orange county repair service which took a week to get out and be told it didnt have a dedicated fuse. Well we had our electrician come right out and yes the refrigerator does have a dedicated fuse drawing the proper amps. Called Viking service company and sent pictures of electricians readings and was told they would speak to Viking. Didnt hear back, another phone call and girl I sent pics to is gone until Monday... Viking is closed and I still have a non-working refrigerator. Horrible service, horrible product.

We werent originally getting Viking Refrigerators but after looking at refrigerators, I liked the features on it and the quality of the refrigeration is good. It has the two doors on top and a door freezer. I like that the ice tray is not in the door because you lose space when it’s in the door, that was why we ended up going with Viking. I originally wanted refrigerators with the ice maker in the door, but it doesn’t work well with this kind of model. We got the Viking also because when you pull the ice tray, there are three drawers that pull out so when you do one pull of the drawer on the outside, the ice tray drawer comes out as well. It’s magnetized to the door and that’s a big feature. A lot of times with the other refrigerators. Once you open the drawer and then you get to pull another rack to get the ice, it’s two steps, which is annoying. This way, you pull it once and then you can get the ice. But when it was delivered, they took that feature off. It was on the showroom floor, but then they changed the model and they no longer did that feature so a part was ordered for us to put the back of that on the door. So now, it’s magnetized and the ice tray drawer pulls out. They were able to do that but they should put that feature back in. That was the selling feature for us. Thank goodness they were able to retrofit that. We had a problem with the doors. When you look at the two top doors, there’s a weave in the stainless steel on one side and there’s none in the other so we had the salesperson from Appliance World come in and checked it. She came, verified it and then went back to the reps who deal with the Viking people. They said that cosmetic problems are supposed to be told within three months, and we were six months out. I’m going to call my sales rep and tell her that I was not happy with that. She saw that there was a problem and I was told that one side door will be switched out. The other sales rep from Appliance World that deals with the repair people said, “You’re out of warranty. Sorry. Bye.” She wasn’t very nice. She also said, “I deal with these people all the time. Viking is not going to change their mind. Blah, blah, blah.” The other reason that we liked the feature is that we were able to create this to make it look like a built-in because Viking simply gives built-in refrigerator and this particular model is the only one they make that’s not a built-in. We have custom cabinetry so they made it look like it was a built-in and it came out nice. We didn’t want to spend the money on a built-in and this is not a built-in but we can make it look like one.

I love the amount of space of my Viking refrigerator. It’s really good for an office. However, it wasn’t getting to the appropriate temperature. So, the serviceman came in and replaced the fan and something else. Those parts were not under warranty anymore, so we were looking at four years with the refrigerator. The freezer was working fine, but the two parts that he replaced didn’t do the trick. He had to come back, and then it was something that he needed to fix. He came out a couple of times before we finally got everything back up and running. So, we were without a refrigerator through most of the holidays, which was kind of a pain. And it made it hard to get him in. The serviceman was great. The only issue we had at one point was finding out when the parts were coming in. We waited and waited and finally, I called the serviceman and they said that they were having a hard time getting the parts. So, I ended up calling one of Vikings customer service numbers to find out what the issue was, and the part was in the following week. But there was this waiting time where we didn’t know anything, and it was because the part was taking forever to come in. Viking needs to set interaction between whoever provides the parts to the technician, and then the technician’s communication with who’s waiting on the part and the repair.

I went with the Viking refrigerator over a competitor because of its appearance. It is heavy and solid and because of that, some of the parts might have shifted during shipping. They needed quite a bit of adjustment at the beginning when its installed. The doors didnt shut well. But whats good about Viking is that they send people who handle their services well and they know how to deal with it. It is a process. But once its settled in, its all very good. We couldnt get anybody to wait on us in the Vikings dealer close to where we live, so we went elsewhere. Its nothing against Viking, because this is a place weve been buying appliances for 30 years, and normally, when you would go in there, they would always greet you and ask you what you wanted help with. However, in this particular time we went in, we just got ignored. So we ended up buying at the closest dealer listed on the Vikings website that we felt had really good customer service and it was indeed really good. Im satisfied with the quality of the range and I like its usability particularly the fact that my wife can use the oven and all four burners at the same time. Its been a joy to cook on.

Following a friends recommendation, I got a Viking range and its beautiful. I got the black one and not only does it work well, but it’s nice-looking. The quality is really good too. I love cooking with it, although there are things that it can do that I havent utilized yet because I’ve only had it hooked up for about four months. Also, when I first got it, the broiler was broken. They just fixed that about a month ago. Its an amazing broiler, it goes over the whole top of the oven. It took a long time for them to come out to get it fixed because I live in a rural area. There was some problem with me getting the paperwork, but it didn’t have to do with Viking. I bought it through AJ Madison, and their company was the one that I was having trouble with obtaining the paperwork so that I could get the product registered, and then I could get it serviced for free under the warranty. The person who handled it did a good job, and it works now.Apart from the broiler, which I love that, I also love that on a standard stove that I’m used to, it has the smaller center burners, and these can all go to the boiling. And then they have one that’s huge, so it really gets your water boiling quickly. It also has a dehydrator built into it, which is amazing. It bakes well, too. I’ve had good experience with everything. I would buy one again for sure.

Weve had Viking for a long time in our family and the range fits with the design of our kitchen. We got it from a local dealer and they were easy to work with. However, the quality of the range has been a little bit surprising. For the price, Im surprised that weve had issues with the burners not working compared to other ranges weve owned from other manufacturers. The many repair people we have met since we bought this Viking Dishwasher in 2014 love to tell us how its impossible to troubleshoot, and breaks all the time. We replaced our old and very good Viking Dishwasher- that dated back to 2005 or so with one from 2014 when it needed a new pump at the urging of a sketchy repair guy. For this newer one we needed to rinse thoroughly the dishes prior and use all kinds of boosting products. (Lemi Shine). We had frequent service calls. It now needs $800 worth of repair for possibly 1) Moisture sensors, 2) drain pump or a 3) new panel, maybe. If its all three then its more than 1,400 dollars. These are repairs no reputable company can do within 3 -4 weeks. But we did have one guy come, charge us $125 (less than the going rate so we were thrilled, for a moment) and ask for stop tips. But he didnt fix it. And then he left to go on a cruise. Literally. We use this place as a part-time house so this is the second vacation we have spent doing dishes for the whole household + guests by hand. That and calling Dishwasher repair people. Sometimes they come and fix it and it breaks again, a few moments after they drive away and lose cell service, conveniently. The consultations in our area with reputable companies a minimum of $150 without a repair -- just to look--even if you have had someone else diagnose. They still refuse to bring anything on the truck to help fix it in one shot. The old one was great. It was loud and sounded like a hurricane but it really washed dishes. Its 20/20 hindsight but I bet the repair guy knew all this as he counseled us so hard to take it off our hands. The new ones are not good.I heard Viking switched to a new manufacturer (I hear its Asko now, but I do not know), or to a lesser quality from that manufacturer. Once they are (expensively) repaired they can last a while--but this is all rumor. In the meantime they are impossible to troubleshoot and you can analyze the manual all you want, nothing works. You cannot even manually drain it. So I recommend only buying this if you are actually an appliance repair person yourself or have one in the family. Kind of like owning a vintage automobile. But not nearly as fun. Not exactly a wind in your hair kind of experience. More like a dishpan hands one. While you look outside thinking of all the things youd rather be doing. So in short, park your ego and do not buy this machine. Unless you really love to do dishes by hand while you look at a Viking label in your kitchen. You can thank me. We finally decided to buy a Sears Kenmore with a stainless steel front and a 5-year service warranty. I added that to never pay that $150 dollar service fee for no work for a long time. Including installation, delivery and the 5-year warranty it cost less than the estimated repair cost of this one. Oh and there were no guarantees on the repair. And I did tell you the repair guy is on a cruise until after we leave. This review was based on Viking Model 032715-0000. PS. Its hard to tell from the images I posted but the bottom is flooded. Drain is cleaned, as are pipes checked. You cannot reset it to get it to drain following instructions in the manual. Note huge pile-up of dishes on counter. This has been our life this vacation. Hurray for Sears. Thank you! We cannot wait.

The people at the Viking dealer were friendly and there were issues that they took care of. Altogether, they were good and shipping was great. They sent the refrigerator out quickly. I’m having a little problem with it at the moment though. The temperature is not setting the right way for some reason. It’s not matching what it says on the display. While I like the simplicity of it since I have too many gadgets, I would like to see a feature to dim the lights because they are too bright on the refrigerator. But I like the new shelving system which we did in heavy glass and also the drawers that are metal. Those are good features. I like them much better because they broke on my old refrigerators. I have some problems with the Viking Refrigerator that we got. The unit functions well, but I have problems in the way it is laid out. It seemed very stripped down. The crisper drawer is not divided, it is just one big drawer that is supposed to hold both fruit and vegetables. That was surprising. Fruits and vegetables require different temperatures and different humidities. There wasn’t any delicatessen or cheese drawer too. The fridge is also very high so that the taller shelves were not accessible. I called Viking to find out how I could better accessorize the refrigerator, and there didnt seem to be any answer to that and apparently, for this model, there are no Viking accessories available.

Viking customer service provided me with zero help. The repair guys both told me that they encounter the same problem with countless Viking ranges. We purchased the top of the line (so we thought) Viking double wall ovens for our re-model. They arrived with broken glass in the 2 doors. The oven was installed, without the doors, into the custom built cabinet based on the specs from the manufacturer. It didnt fit properly, no matter how hard we pushed on the approx. 400-lb. appliance. There was nothing in the way of it being pushed fully into the cabinet, and finally we realized that the oven itself was twisted a bit so that while the right top corner and bottom corners fit, the top left corner sits out about 1/2 to 3/4 inch. It looks hideous but we live with it because the company wouldnt respond to our concerns. We assume the unit was dropped somewhere before it reached us. Replacement doors finally came, one had broken glass again. New one came and it was installed. Then when I began using the top oven it burned the bottom and left the top undercooked. I thought it was me at first, since I may not have been used to this particular oven. Not me. Its the oven. If I use it, then I lower the temp. 50 degrees and hope for the best. I contacted the company from which we purchased it as well as Viking, but nothing was addressed to remedy the problems and, funny thing, our warranty expired. Then there is the issue of the self-cleaning function which I used maybe 4 or 5 times. I dont use it any more. I am worried, because of the extreme heat coming from the ovens and what I can feel on the wood around it, that it will catch fire. We heard that the self-cleaning is a problem with Viking. Anyway, we limp it along because we spent thousands on it and to replace it is an expense we cant assume right now, but I tell everyone how much I hate our Viking ovens and that they should never buy one. At a home show convention several years ago, the Viking reps were out trying to drum up interest. I told them of my experience and they took my name, etc. with the promise that theyd help me... Right, never happened. Lousy product, lousy customer service.

Our Viking refrigerator is fine. I’ve only had it for two months, but I found that I’m having to figure out where to put stuff. It seems small inside. I dont know if I would repurchase another refrigerator like that because of the compartments. If you have very tall things like milk and wine, it really makes it hard. I have a Viking freezer and a refrigerator and I haven’t been really pleased with either one of them. Ive had the refrigerator for eight years and it was the refrigerator of the home that I built. The problem Im having now is the coolant and there was some defrosting in it. The technicians had replaced it and tore this thing apart, but Viking sent them a defective part. When the technicians found out about it, they had already drained all the stuff out of the refrigerator and started putting it back together. The refrigerator has been down for a week now. We’ve been looking for parts for three months and it’s just not been a good thing. The refrigerator door doesn’t close right and the guy was trying to work on that too. The freezer seal has always been an issue as far as the white trim and we’ve replaced that a couple times. The refrigerator itself is fine, but as far as the room goes and the expenses, I’ve had a lot of difficulty with it and the freezer. Ive had the ice maker repaired and its been a terrible experience. I don’t think I’d buy another Viking. If someone asks me about them, Id tell them not to get a Viking.

I know of Viking Ranges as being a good brand. I like the combination of its style and size and its durability and simplicity. I didn’t want something with a lot of electric controls and my range seemed like their basic gas, almost commercial style gas. It has a big oven with a big range top and I like its clean lines, stainless steel finish that it looks like a professional range, commercial style oven. I bought it through PC Richards and their reps were good. They were incredibly knowledgeable. However, I’m a little disappointed because the oven broke about four months ago. The hinges on the door just stopped closing the door completely, I had no idea why. Also, I cannot turn the flame down low enough. There’s a lot of BTUs. They’ve now referred my range to their service department and it has taken awhile to order pieces. It has been a very long process and it is still waiting for a repair. I can still use the range though. Overall, my experience was generally very, very positive.

Our neighbor has a Viking refrigerator and I like the appearance. It also seems like they last longer. We bought one through Best Buy and the specific sales person was really good. I like that the fridge has more shelves than usual, but when we had it installed and opened it, the drawers were cracked and I am frustrated with that. It would have also been nice for the fridge to make crushed ice, instead of the big ones.

I chose between Viking and Wolf and the price point was a big point why I chose Viking. Overall, I like the quality of the Viking range and I like many aspects of it even though I was supposed to have service on it again. I’ve had a service problem since the beginning and they haven’t rectified it yet even though they have tried. My favorite thing about the range is the ease of being able to clean the top. I like being able to take the top apart and get into all the components. I like cleaning them in the dishwasher or washing by hand. I also like the team at the Viking dealer very much. They were good.

We were re-doing our kitchen and wanted to go with the latest and greatest.
We were re-doing our kitchen and wanted to go with the latest and greatest. We liked Vikings reputation and some of our friends have Viking appliances as well. My whole experience started off with one dealer. When I went in there, I gave them a deposit but I ended up canceling that because the woman that I was dealing with didn’t know the product line at all. So, I didn’t feel comfortable with that. So, knowing what I wanted, I then reached out to a dealer on Long Island and everything at that point was done across the phone. And the girl that I dealt with did an excellent job for us. So we purchased the 48-in range, the dishwasher and below the counter microwave. And I was really happy with that as far as the coordination and delivery of the equipment. I’ve also spoken to Viking directly done in Mississippi a couple of times and they were helpful. I had a couple of questions and in the middle of everything, there was a model change going on. called them and said all right, tell me the differences between what I had ordered and what I’m going to receive and they did a good job of explaining the difference there. When I had the issue with the dented panel on the dishwasher, they turned it over to a third-party and I was hoping that they could address the issue sooner than later, but it was a smaller organization. So, I had to wait a couple of weeks before I could get them out to the house but when they came, they were spot on and did an excellent job. So, while I had to wait longer than I would have liked, I was happy with what they did.It was interesting because one of my friends has not had a good experience with Viking around the range and parts. But I didn’t allow that to bother me because I don’t know how much of it was them or how much of it was Viking. There are always two sides to every story. So, even hearing the horror stories that they had to tell, I am pleased with what we did and I’d be happy to recommend Viking to anyone so far.

I went with Viking for their style and quality. However, the quality of the range that I bought from them is mediocre for what I paid. It cost $5,000 and it’s not really living up to it. The door is loose. It hasn’t worked properly and its slow to start sometimes. I had tried to rectify the door myself a few times and Viking did come out to rectify it. I called Viking and it was pretty good. I complained about the door and they were nice. But the dealers at Karl’s Appliance wasn’t so great. They’re sort of flakier. But I like the five burners. It’s the 30-inch stove. It fits the space. Those who come to my apartment love looking at it. They’re jealous. But that wasn’t what we were going for. We wanted a big stove/oven. Its the wider range, its freestanding. It gives you more capacity inside. It has three racks as opposed to just two. It would be better if Viking could extend the warranty. Mine’s good for like three years allegedly. And now, its only a year-long from what I hear which is sort of silly. Mine hit the cut-off date unless the seller offers included the warranty. My LG washer has a 10-year warranty. And it’s expensive to install and what have you. The result is expensive. This one is a $5,000 range and then, two, it’s expensive to just connect it and reconnect it with the new ones. Moreover, it would be better for it to have heat-resistant handles. When you’re cooking at a high temperature for a while, the knobs near the top front of the top of the space get really, really hot and they’re not supposed to. And the door is not supposed to get that hot, either. For instance, if youre cooking turkey for a long time. It takes three hours and it gets hot. They should work on that and get that fixed.

Me and my wife decided to get a Viking Range because of the build quality and simplicity. We like it better based on appearance and what our relatives told us of their experiences. However I had a bad experience with the dealer. They told me at that time I purchased that if Im not ready to put a delivery, I can have this range later. Several months later when I was ready, my dealer all of a sudden told me that they cannot deliver Viking anymore. There was some sort of disagreement and they couldnt sell Viking anymore because Viking specifically prohibited this dealer from selling their brand. I actually lost money because Viking raised the price by that time and the dealer referred me to a different dealer and promised that they will give the same price. But the new dealer couldnt provide the same price. The second dealer sold me a Viking and gave me a free warranty. Im not sure if I needed it but at least something as a compensation for a little loss. They delivered a new range. A few days after the delivery when I installed the range, I noticed when turning the handles it caused some sort of noise or feeling that something fishy is going on. So I called and they sent a repairman. The repairman took the handle off, adjusted something around it and after that it became better. The repairman also noticed that one of the screws was not original and it was quite surprising. Either Viking quality control is not correct or someone else changed the screw. I dont know how it would happen. But I rate it as minor inconveniences.

We purchased a full suite of Viking kitchen appliances (gas range, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher), which were delivered on 10/1/2019. Since they were installed, all four appliances have required service. First, the insulated glass on the microwave door was not sealed properly, so condensation formed between the glass. Viking’s fix for this issue was a new door, which took over a month to get. The front panel on the dishwasher was damaged when it was installed, so it also needed to be replaced. The panel came with the microwave door about a month after it was ordered. The gas range - which is supposed to be the flagship product for Viking - also required repair. The oven would not ignite consistently and would fill my home with noxious gas that had to be aired out. (The service technician found that the ignitor was too far from the heating element, which is why the oven wouldn’t light.) There are no bells and whistles on this range, which I knew when I bought it, so one would think it would do the one thing it is capable of doing... lighting... and it couldn’t even do that without a service call. Now the refrigerator is sounding alarms randomly and indicates that our freezer is varying temperatures, as high as 55 degrees. There is no way to disable the alarm and it has taken more than a week to get a service call scheduled, which means my family has to endure this loud beeping that goes off all day and night. To make matters worse, we have a special needs child who is terrified of alarms so this has been particularly distressing to him. Due to whatever error the freezer is experiencing, the compressor runs so much that our food in the fridge is freezing. I have had to throw out a bunch of produce, like apples, pears, lettuce, etc., because of the extreme cold in the fridge. Given we have only had these appliances for two months and experienced problems with all four of them, I would say I am extremely disappointed in Viking’s quality. Their service has been terrible, too. Despite multiple attempts to contact someone at Viking who can help, we have yet to receive a call back. In the meantime, I’ve had to reach out to multiple appliance repair companies, the retailer where we purchased the appliances, and taken time off work multiple times to have the appliances serviced. Had I known how bad my experience with Viking appliances and arrive would be, I would’ve saved myself the trouble and money and purchased non-“professional” appliances!

As a very dissatisfied and disappointed Viking customer, I would never recommend the product to anyone. I have often said to anyone who listens that our Viking kitchen appliances was the worst purchase we ever made. We have had more repairmen here to work on the highly touted Viking appliances in the last 6 years than in our entire 40-year history of home/appliance ownership. It is a joke. We are currently waiting for the Viking repairman once again to come fix the refrigerator to hopefully stop the leaking that is damaging our hardwood floor. If I was independently wealthy, I would throw them all away; but Im not. We made what we thought was a wise investment that would last us through retirement. Im sure we will end up replacing all at some point when Ive lost all my patience. If I do a Pinterest, it would be labeled Stay away from Viking far, far away. There are much better, more reliable, less expensive products. Viking beauty is only skin deep.

One of the burners had problems with the igniting, but I was able to adjust it and get it to work properly. The quality is good overall. As far as performance goes and the quality of manufacturer, those also seem good. Were happy with our range. It fits our space and I would recommend it to people in a similar situation. I went to a place called Ferguson which is like a home builder showroom and I looked at all the different refrigerators. I liked the interior of Viking the most, and the way it looked and the way that it was organized inside very much. That was the deal that sold it. However, when the refrigerator was delivered, they must have dropped it which caused a series of things to go wrong with it. It was replaced right away and we’ve had the one that we have now for two months. It’s working fantastic. I love the layout and the drawers for the meat, cheese and vegetables. It’s so easy to use and I also like the door where you can put a variety of things. The first time, I talked to the dealer when I registered my product and the second time, since I had an account already, I logged on to that account and registered the second one. We dealt with a third party that was the repair person for Viking and they were very good. They came in from Austin to work on ours. We have the dishwasher too which was a bonus when we bought our refrigerator. I didn’t care for it at all at first because it was very different from an American dishwasher where it dries everything completely because it’s eco-friendly but I understand now how it works. So, Im really enjoying that too and I love it.

The fridge model that we got does not have an in-door ice maker. We hate that the ice gets everywhere in the ice maker in the freezer, and it even gets underneath and falls out. Updated on 11/06/2019: My earlier review detailed a total failure of Viking to either manufacture a range that works or have any responsive customer service. It is utterly astonishing that it is now November and the range is still damaged, experiences random failures, waiting for parts [since May!], and never get return phone calls. Chris in customer service simply cannot be responsive to any degree. She only answers emails that we send, provides no updates on the missing parts, and generally could not care less about the $14,000 range that is crap. I am now left with having to commence a lawsuit over this because of Viking’s total incompetence and indifference. Don’t be fooled by fake reviews and faux concern posted by some third party that Viking pays to respond. Nothing has been fixed in six months.Original Review: Bought a Viking 48 range [LP] at a cost of over $12k. Range was delivered and installed. Two days later the smaller of the two ovens has a gas explosion about 60 seconds after turning it on for the very first time. The door blew open so hard that it warped the entire control panel, jamming several of the knobs that turn the ovens and burners on. After many calls to the dealer and Viking, Viking finally dispatched a repair person the next day. The conclusion was that it could not possibly happen but that for reasons unknown, it did. Viking agreed to replace the brand new range. A week or so later, the new range is delivered and installed. None of the burners work and they are burning yellow with 6 high flame. Installer swears that that was normal. More calls to dealer and Viking and once again repair guy is dispatched and shows up later that day. He adjusts all of the burners and sees that the new range is scratched all over and the stainless back splash is also scratched. He puts in a repair order to Viking and says that it will all be resolved. Calls to Viking get the same response. No word for a period on months and calls to Viking are never returned. Finally speak with someone who now says that it is the dealers problem and to call them. Predictably, the dealer knows nothing about this but two weeks later the parts seem to be ordered and when they come in, the same repair company with fix everything. Fast forward to this week, a full five months after purchase of the first range. Repair guy shows up with the wrong parts [!] and no back splash, saying that it was supposed to be shipped directly to us [that has never been said before]. The range is still not fixed and the knobs frequently jam. To add insult to injury, the original purchase included a Viking dishwasher. After having it sit in all of its original undamaged packing for two months, I open it up to install it. The cabinet is wrecked. The back is caved in and the front looks like it was duffed with a fork lift. No one wants to take any responsibility for it. Curse the day that we went with Viking instead of Wolfe.

Our Viking refrigerator stopped working. Then the oven that we chose worked for a month and stopped working, too. We had technicians coming back and forth with new parts for three times, but it never worked. And it took a while, from February until October, until Viking decided to give us a new one. We have a new oven now and its working. The refrigerator is also working now, so Im happy. But I was three weeks without it and it was a nightmare. The delivery of the part took forever and I didnt know what was causing the delay, especially with something so important like a refrigerator. When I was talking with the company that Viking recommended me to call, they said that we had to wait, that the delay was not on them, and that it was Viking that was taking forever to deliver the part. We also have an issue with the dishwasher. It’s not working properly because it’s not drying the dishes. But I haven’t called and made a complain about it because the repair took so long with the oven and the refrigerator. So our Viking experience hasn’t been good at all. It was frustrating and more than challenging. We thought we had the best appliances when we got Viking. But my husband and I were talking and we said that if we move, Viking would not be the brand we’re gonna choose.

We purchased a Viking Range from an online retailer but then our experience was rocky in the beginning. They gave us 24 hours to inspect it but then the stove showed up during a Christmas vacation time wherein family members are at the house. A lot was going on so we got a quick look over but not as in depth as it should have been. So, once the holidays were over and we got ready to install it, we found that it had significant damage both internally and cosmetically. Though it took a while to go back and get it remedied, once we got to the agreement that I could replace it, it was fine. The issue was because I exceeded their 24-hour period to inspect and their sales rep said that you guys would not repair any cosmetic damage. Still, they gave us options and one of which was to replace the stove with a new one. That was the one I took.

We purchased an expensive free standing gas range, model VGCC530-4BSS, because we were tired of having to fix our old electric range. From day one the front knobs got hot when the oven was on for a long period of time. We never really thought too much of it until just recently when the oven would quit working after being on for a while, for example, when cooking a turkey etc. Through my own investigation, along with limited help from Viking I figured out that the oven door doesnt seal at the top. There isnt an adjustment to rectify this problem. Viking suggested new hinges, at the bargain price of $120 each, which I fail to see making any difference as this has been an issue from day one. Not to mention I removed the door, inspected the hinges and could not find anything wrong with them. I strongly feel that the only solution to this problem is to buy a new stove, one that doesnt have the Viking label on the front. This will be our first and last Viking product EVER!

Up until it broke, I was quite happy with my Viking refrigerator. But it broke in November (the evaporator failed - still under warranty). A service company came, diagnosed the problem and ordered the part December 5. Today it is March 10. In February the appliance repair company called Viking and they were told the part would come in February 26 and that it would be sent out by overnight air when it arrived. February 26 came and went. No word.Yesterday I called Viking and spoke to a customer service rep who took my info and told me someone would call me back. No one called. Today I called and spoke to a different customer service rep and was told that there is no expected arrival time of these parts to the Viking factory. I was told some people are waiting 6 months or a year. Im sorry but I call BS on that.Heres the thing: This is a popular model of refrigerator. Clearly they must be getting these parts at the factory and installing them in new product to be sold while ignoring current customers like me. Not only is this bad business, I believe it is dishonest when they tell me that none of these parts have come in. Im kind of an in internet guy. This is the first review of this situation that I have left. There will be more. Viking is making a mistake. If they rectify it I will come back and modify this review. But dont hold your breath. And if you want your food cold, definitely consider what might happen if your Viking refrigerator stops working.

Our GE refrigerator doesnt have as good as the quality that we expected for the price. The worst part is I cant really get it cleaned. I follow the instructions as to how to get that stainless cleaned and it doesnt do what the manual tells me. It doesnt really look like I would want it to look, which is to look uniform. It doesnt come out even and the surface is so bad to clean that I keep those fiberglass things so that when I open and close the doors, I dont have to do the handles constantly. And the other thing which we didnt know when we purchased it was we just assumed it had an ice maker and it doesnt have an ice maker.

When we went to the store here, we were going to try and get a Viking stove. We had to get a Wolf. We were looking at a refrigerator, too, and when we saw the Viking refrigerator, we thought it looked cool, so we got it as well. It’s expensive and costs more than a regular refrigerator, but its nice. We like the look and the layout - the top and bottom with two doors on the top. It feels kind of solid, plus, we like the way it lights up on the inside when we open the door. We also like the dashboard in the inside of the door where we could look at all the different stuff we could do. Weve only had it a short time and so far, so good. We got a Sub-Zero in our other house and it’s comparable to that.

We got a Viking Range through an appliance package which involved us getting a range and getting a Viking microwave for free. Currently, were having a little difficulty with the oven holding temperature. The range top is great but were seeing swings of upwards 20 to 50 degrees from what the thermostat is set at. Still, we love our range top and the gas controls.

I was looking for refrigeration, and I was doing renovations. I went online. I had wanted to upgrade from what I currently had, which was the JennAir Professional Series. I wanted something on the Wolf or Viking line. I did not go with Wolf because I could not afford the Sub-Zero Refrigerator. So, I decided to go with Viking. I looked at the reviews. I had ordered it from an appliance shop. Then I went to Ferguson Showroom to see what it looked like because the appliance shop didnt have a display. I knew it was looking like what I wanted it to look like. When I went to Ferguson, they didnt have any Viking on their floor. The salesperson said, “You know what, Latrina, I wish you would have came to us first because our customers had so many problems with Viking. We had to take it off our floor as display items.” I said, “Well, frankly, I wont have these problems.” So, I got the product. But I couldnt have the contractors in because of COVID, so I had the products here for a while. So, they installed them, and now its about the eighth month. My microwave already went out. The refrigerator handles are not so nice. The guy who came and fixed the microwave also had to tighten up the handles. At the top of the refrigerator shelf, you can set it to different levels. At the very top, it’s freezing my food. I cant set it to go any lower than the level that it’s at. Viking needs to revamp.

Of the three Viking appliances I recently purchased, I love the range and dishwasher, however this is a 1-star review and that is due to the refrigerator having been nothing but problems. Viking sent a 3rd party repair person to correct the issue. Due to my location (apparently) it took the repair company 2 weeks to get out here, 5 weeks to order parts and another week to return. I live an hour outside of Pittsburgh and an hour from Cleveland, so the location really shouldnt be a problem. However, I waited 2 months to get the refrigerator fixed (it freezes our food - even when set to 37 degrees). The problem still persists. I called Viking Customer Care again today, and expressed my frustration not only with the quality of the product, but also the time it took (2 months) to get the repair parts installed and that didnt even fix the issue. I think Viking refrigerators are generally great, but I got a defective unit. And rather than send me a replacement unit (since weve already gone down the repair path). Viking is sending another repair technician to my home. The customer care representative, asked for my serial number. After providing it, she indicated that it wasnt valid - which she confirmed later on in our conversation that it was indeed correct. I also had to repeat my address several times. When she would look up a service option, and return to the screen she told me my address was gone. My appliances are all registered on Vikings website, why the customer care representative wasnt able to pull my information from that or from my previous support case seems counter-intuitive. For a supposed higher quality appliance, Im disappointed I wasnt provided higher quality of service. And I have to wonder how many times Ill be doing this until my refrigerator works as advertised, or until I give up and get rid of the unit. I NEVER had this issue with my Sub-Zero!

Things have been going well with Viking. We bought the apartment a year ago, so weve had the Viking oven for a year, but it was purchased in 2010. Its quality has been great and we like that it has been really consistent with the heat and the controls from the top. We had some issues with the dishwasher and it couldn’t be replaced or fixed. But we just had the recall on the oven and the service of the team that came out was good.

Love the 48” all gas range. Less gadgets to break. My last range was dual fuel and the inside was much larger in both ovens. The small side on the Viking is very small. It is hard to find cookie sheets to fit.
