York Furnace Warranty
York Furnace warranties vary depending on the specific model and system you purchase. Here are some general guidelines for York Furnace warranties:
Base Warranty: All York furnaces come with a base warranty that covers parts and labor for a specified period of time, usually 10 years for the heat exchanger and 5 years for parts. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship during normal use of the product.
Extended Warranty: York offers an extended warranty that can be purchased separately. This warranty provides additional coverage beyond the base warranty period and can extend up to 10 years for parts and labor.
Registration: To qualify for the full warranty coverage, it's important to register your York Furnace within 90 days of installation. Failure to register your system may result in reduced warranty coverage.
Conditions: Keep in mind that warranties may be voided if the product is not installed or used correctly. It's important to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for installation, maintenance, and use of the system to ensure the warranty remains in effect.
Before purchasing a York Furnace, be sure to read the warranty terms and conditions carefully to understand what is covered and for how long. If you have any questions or concerns, contact a certified York dealer or customer service representative for more information.

My furnace installation went as smooth as could be for having my whole unit die a few days after Christmas. It's quiet and efficient, and seems to be working out beautifully. It's heating my 2600 square foot home that was built in the 1860s. My bill has not gone up at all and I turned the thermostat up higher than I had it before. The unit is much much smaller than my old one too, which is a nice bonus. I'm very happy with the financing and payment schedule offered also.
Committed to building quality products for over 140 years, YORK’s heating and cooling systems are found in some of the world’s most famous structures, such as the Empire State Building, the U.S. Capitol Building, and the Sydney Opera House.
I have been selling and installing York/JCI equipment for decades. We have installed thousands, and as an authorized dealer, we are trained by the factory and stay on top of all the new equipment install requirements. Our warranty program is in two parts. 10 year parts, which does not include labor costs, and then part two is offered at a small additional charge, which includes parts, labor, and anything else needed to make the repairs or replacement of the faulty equipment. When installed properly, these unit simply do not have problems. Out of over 5,000 systems we have had 4 actual warranties, which is an unheard of low percentage industry wide. Each contractor is obligated to explain the system warranties and what is available to them to be sure to have all the correct information. Each review I have seen on this system is of issues that were avoidable if installed or managed correctly by the dealer. True York dealers that do the job right just don't have these issues.
We replaced our old unit (Rheem) after 10 years because it failed. We chose a York as a replacement because they offered the longest warranty on parts and labor and because it is the brand our contractor recommended. It has been installed for about an hour and is currently working great.
Check out the top ten furnaces on this website and as of today you will see that the top 3 furnaces (they list them in reverse order from #10 to #1) are all york brand. If it is important to you to buy a product that is built here, York is a good choice. Their high efficiency models start at 95 afue, and that is a great efficiency at an entry level price point. The two-stage high efficiency furnaces offer increased comfort, and there are models throughout the line with advanced technology ecm motors that provide additional comfort and energy savings potential. I have been involved in the sales of these products for over 35 years.
