My less than 2-year-old, Amana, built-in microwave, model amc2206bas has cracking and peeling ceiling paint. I called customer service and was told there is nothing they can do as it is outside the 1-year service. I am very angry that this defective product can be dumped on consumers. I intend to contact my State Attorney General to see if anything can be done.

I’ve been using my Amana washing machine for 8 years now; always works and washes my clothes clean every time! :-). My Amana washing machine is of the most simple of model’s made; but its always worked just perfect for my family of three people.

We purchased an Amana washer on 6/22/13 and on 9/28/13 it quit working. We called the store where we purchased it and they told us that if we hadnt sent in the warranty, Amana would not stand behind it. This is our third washer in 5 years. Dont they make washers that last at least 5 years?

This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. We bought it in May of 2014 and to my dismay found that it did not fill on the rinse cycle. My clothes always had soap residue left on them. I read the manuals carefully and it did indicate that when manually adding softener, to let the rinse tub fill. It never did. We called the repairman who re-calibrated it, so supposedly it would work properly. He no sooner left when the red lock lid button started blinking. It was off-cycle again. It still does not fill. I have to go to another rinse drain cycle to rinse my clothes. My advice to anyone...DO NOT BUY AN AMANA WASHER, THEY ARE JUNK!!!

First and foremost DO NOT PURCHASE AMANA anything!!! I made that huge mistake when purchasing my oven and bottom freezer refrigerator in 2004. Compressor was dead within 5yrs of purchase. The stove was and is a nightmare!! Of course this stove is no longer made and good luck trying to find parts. This stove retail was approximately 1100.00 middle of the road price but for all the error codes it throws out, it makes one think how dumb was I to even THINK about buying this model or brand!!Replaced two oven sensors, temp regulators now door does not shut correctly therefore heat escapes from oven and get ready because when that happens the timer/clock control board melts!!! Really???!!! AMANA is blind to this and will ignore all of your complaints!!! You might as well just hold a match to your money when it comes to AMANA!! One will have difficulty finding parts for a discontinued model on anything but this is how AMANA conducts business!!! I totally understand with time all things need to be replaced and simply run its course. However, 4 to 5 yrs life expectancy is max on all AMANA anything! Just tell yourself AMANA is no longer being made and save yourself the aggravation.

I thought Id done adequate research through Consumer Reports, etc. My Amana French door refrigerator model # AFD2535FES worked fine for the first year. Then, the food compartment wasnt as cold as it should be and food began to spoil, although the food in the freezer drawer was rock solid and snow started forming on the inside. Id purchased an extended warranty, so I thought having it repaired would be a non-issue. The repairman said it was due to too much food in the freezer, so air couldnt circulate into the food compartment. He said to defrost the freezer, which I did. It seemed to work OK for two weeks and the same thing happened again--all the food spoiled again, even with minimal food in the freezer. The second repairman came out, this time he said it needed a new heating element. I waited another week for the part to arrive (more time off work) and then he returned and replaced it. Two weeks later, the same problem happened. Spoiled food again, and time off work. I am expecting the repairman later today.This fancy stainless steel behemoth is a lemon and needs to be recalled. The temp inside is 65F and makes storing food impossible. It has been a huge expense and a great inconvenience. I will never buy another Amana appliance and I will advise everyone I know to boycott their products.

My washer is still under warranty and I called a service representative. It was supposed to be dispatched and serviced today. The call was never made and I had to make several phone calls to reschedule. In the meantime Im having to spend an enormous amount of money at the laundromat. Amana is not giving me a refund for this huge inconvenience.

MOD:NTW4605EW0 Type: 587-20 - This product is the worst I have ever used. My Husband and I are in our late 50 on a fixed income and recent stem cell survivor. We had to save for this for months to buy this washer. Now knowing it would not have been the top of the line, you still have a reasonable expectation that your laundry will be cleaned. Thats not the case with this washer. I have taken items out of the washer that never hit water, and still soiled. You cant make any adjustment to the water level, the agitator is very ineffective and sound as the whole thing is a strain to do a basic task. I have bought Amana in the past and had no regrets until now. That is unacceptable for misleading the public that this is a washer. It truly just an oversize hamper. If this sounds like I am not happy with this product. Then sorry to say YES I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT! When you pay $250-$300 you expect it to at the very least to clean your laundry!

Two years ago my washing machine died. I bought it used and had it for 17 years. Out of necessity, I purchased the Amana top load he washing machine. It does a terrible job cleaning the clothes and now makes a metal on metal grinding noise when agitating. On my old machine I replaced the clutch in the transmission by myself (6 years before it finally died, Im female and now 50+ yrs. old), on this new Amana, I cant even get the agitator off to even begin diagnosing the problem. My next machine will be an old wringer washer. Im tired of everything being designed to fail so you have to replace it. Amana will never have a place in my home again, not a single product.

I purchased this fridge 9/2010, and the compressor is already shot. I see from other complaints that compressors have been a problem, but Amana Whirlpool has done nothing to help out customers (unless they agreed to the extortion of the extended warranty). I guess Amana Whirlpool is only for people who can afford to buy major appliances every year or pay huge repair bills as soon as the product is out of warranty, or pay for protection (does this remind anyone else of bribing cops to do their job?). Its odd when the automated recording asks if youve had the product for longer than 12 months, and then asks if you purchased the extended warrant. And you said yes to the first and no to the second, why dont they just disconnect you? They have no pride in their product (I see why now), and they surely have no concern with customer service or satisfaction.

We are a single couple with few loads to run. After 3 years our Amana front load washer circuit board went out. It was replaced with a three hundred dollar new one. 3 years after the replacement was installed, the replacement went haywire. This is a circuit board part that everyone says is no longer available because the manufacturer doesnt want to replace anymore.So, long story short: Original cost of new Amana front load originally: $560. Cost of first replacement circuit board $385. (Replacement part lasted 2 years). New cost to replace our Amana washer $600. New cost to haul off Amana washer $50. Wow! My total $1,595. It used to be that Amana was a great name. Ill never buy from them again.

I bought a new range for my daughter. We received the order, the range was working fine for about 2 days. All of a sudden the only thing that worked was when you turned the knob to high the display showed (as that had stop working as well). The element and the oven would not work and the display shut off if you moved the knob off of the High position.I called Amana and they were closed, I called Best Buy where I bought it and they sent out a replacement. Problem 1 - the replacement took 4 days due to a pandemic going on in our country, so we were not able to cook anything for 4 days! Problem 2 - the day we received the replacement, as soon as we plugged it in, it was doing the exact same thing as the last troubled machine! I call Amana, the COMPUTER guy walked through troubleshooting steps that I had already done, and then says I will send a tech out to you. Problem 3 - Said tech cannot come for 3 days! Problem 4 - my daughter and I live in 2 different states so what did Amana do? Send the tech to my house! Problem 5 - I call Amana, they apologize but tell me there are NO techs in my area to come out not even at a later date because of the pandemic.... SO WHAT exactly do they do to fix this.... Problem 6 - NOTHING besides apologize!I found out for this model there are several defects! I called Best Buy to get a replacement but DIFFERENT brand and am told by the rep I spoke to she has gotten nothing but calls about this exact model and it has defects! Long Story short... In a middle of a crisis... do not ever go with AMANA! You will be left to die of starvation as you cannot cook a single thing (we do not do microwave things, nor do we have room now in the freezer for said items as it is filled with meat to COOK)!

We have only had this Heat Pump/Air conditioner for about two weeks--so far so good. It is easy to operate and does the job as expected. Bell Air Conditioning was very easy to work with and did an excellent job. We are pleased, so far.

In December of 2003, I purchased a drop-in Amana range model #ACS4250. The oven recently abruptly stopped heating. The repairman informs me that the part needed to repair the oven (electronic control #77001240) has been discontinued.Who does that? Who discontinues parts? I called Amana and they helped me immensely. They connected me with the sales department. As if I would be fool enough to buy another product from a company who discontinues a small part that is vital to the operation of one of their major appliances in order to force a customer to replace that appliance. I dont think so.I am an 81-year-old woman who takes extraordinary care of my appliances. This range looks as though it should be on the showroom floor and now it’s junk. The only help I got from Amana was an offer to sell me a new range or a suggestion to call around and try to find someone else who might have that part lying around.By the way, I spent most of the afternoon on the telephone doing exactly that – all to no avail. That part cannot be found. Amana should be ashamed. One of the persons I talked to actually had the nerve to tell me that I needed to understand that this is The wave of the future. This is technology.I hung up.My new range will be anything but an Amana – Maytag, Whirlpool – or anything connected to them. They are a disgrace.

This is the worst washing machine Ive ever used! You cannot soak any clothes because if you walk away with the lid open during the filling cycle and you do not close the lid within 10 minutes it pumps the water out. There is no way to delay the wash cycle in order to soak a load of clothes. The rise cycle fills with cold water, does not agitate, and immediately pumps the water out. When it has finished pumping the water out (there is no way to stop this action) I then need to turn the selector knob to rinse in order to rinse the clothes. This results in my using twice the water for the rinse. Talk about a crummy machine. I had a repairman out to replace the control board, but it only worked for a week. My advice - DO NO BUY AMANA PRODUCTS!

The lint trap was not working. It’s the water levels were not filling up. Another hot water is this going into the machine and don’t know why. It’s only four months old and I think our guarantee is over.

Just a complaint about washers. Im short and getting older. Top loader drums are too deep. I have to stand on my tiptoes to reach the bottom of the drum. I know of others my height that say the same. If I stand on a stool, there is a chance it could tip especially when throwing the clothes into the dryer-twisting, leaning. Does anyone make a machine that isnt so deep?Virge **

The Amana washer and dryer came with the apt we rented. The apt had been renovated with new cabinets and appliances. Only the washer and dryer are Amana. Both the washer and dryer (side by side) are full size. The washer takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to wash a normal size load. The dryer takes 2 hours to dry a normal size load. The maintainence people told me Amana machines are very slow and there is nothing they can do. My electric bill is almost $300 a month. I have had many washers and dryers over the years. Never have I experienced this. A normal size load should not take more than an hour. NEVER buy either the Amana washer or dryer. I am actually considering buying my own washer and dryer. Even though having these are part of my rent. I even tried washing a very small load and it still took over an hour to wash and an over an hour to dry in these awful appliances. BEWARE!!!

I was the lucky one chosen by a bad quality control department to miss the 30-day requirement for defects. They call it a cosmetic issue. My new side-by-side stainless steel refrigerator (matching the range) has a clearly unaligned door, unaligned according to manufacturer specifications. From the top view it looks like the seals are off... One is wider in spots. However they are stating to me that it is a cosmetic issue beyond the 30-day window. And I DO HAVE PHOTOS. For AMANA to not consider this issue for what it is has been unbelievable to me. They wont replace the door... Nothing. Am I mad? I no longer consider them to be a respectable company. They would rather I have it as it is with bad quality control, using a 30-day extreme rule. So I lose.

Bought an electric dryer, model #NED4655EW on 11/22/18. It was delivered on 11/27/18. Used it on 11/28/18. Went to use it on 12/4/18 and it wouldnt dry. Called company and they stated it was past the 48 hr window for return and they would have to send a technician out to service it. I stated to them that I had used it only once and it should fall under the lemon law. Will never purchase another Amana product. Brand new but already needing service after one week. So everyone please know that Amana sells junk!!!

My Amana appliance is 11 yrs old and maybe I expect it to last longer, but I had to have it repaired in the last two years twice. They just dont make things like they used to or maybe it is the country they make them in. I had a bottom freezer Sears refrigerator, I think it was a Kenmore brand and when I moved out of my house it was 19 yrs old, running good. But I didnt want to move it, because it was so big and I was moving to an apartment. It really is a good refrigerator, just not one that lasts a long time. I expect a $2000.00 refrigerator to last at least 20 years if you take good care of it, like vacuum the places required and keep it clean.

It is too cramped, much of the size is on the outside, not the inside. The shelves are inadequate and the inner construction of both shelves and drawers is flimsy. The real problem is my better half has looked at alternatives and they are no better. I could best call it all flash and no fire.

They were no help to me at all about reimbursing me anything on both washer and dryer, which were not that old. I had terrible problems with both. Would never buy a front loader again. The company wanted to give me a percentage off of my new dryer (this broke down first) which had cost so much less. I did not think that was fair.

We bought an Amana atb2136arw refrigerator in 2006. This is a very basic style top freezer model. In 2011, we ran into the first problem with the food section not maintaining a good temperature. The compressor fan had to be replaced. That repair cost $175.00. Less than two years later, its same problem: The freezer seemed to be okay but temps in the food section couldnt get much below 50 degrees. But this time, the Amana was declared dead by our repair technician. He determined that half the coils in the refrigeration assembly were not working - at all. Basically, the only way to fix it would be to replace the entire refrigeration coil assembly - something that cant practically be done once this model leaves the factory. In other words, it isnt even repairable. When you add up the initial price paid, plus the cost of one repair, this POS appliance cost us $200.00+ per year of use. Needless to say, the replacement refrigerator we purchased was not manufactured by Amana.

In September of 2009, I purchased an Amana refrigerator, model # AFD2535DEB Serial # KY287062. In September of 2011, the crisper draw center rail broke. The draws were not overloaded. We are a two-person adult home with perhaps a daily draw usage. I replaced it with the appropriate part on September 11, 2011. On November 5, 2011, the replacement rail broke in less than two months. The draws were not overloaded. I purchased my first replacement from Appliance Parts Pros. The current one was ordered from a link directly from the Amana web page. On 3/3/12, it has broken again. Each time, this has to be replaced, it cost $25. According to other reports, Amana is not covering the replacement. Are we to believe we must spend $100 a year for the life of the fridge?

We bought and set up the Amana ART316TFDW in our house in October 2017. It came with a one year limited parts warranty and no option for a 3 year extended warranty. In August 2019, less than two years after purchase, the refrigerator repairman said it was leaking Freon and would be expensive to fix. He recommended buying a new fridge. Thats about the time we lost our cool too.

We had our Amana fridge freezer fitted in January 2009. After 6 years and 6 months this appliance has broken down and is unrepairable. We paid £3,800.00 for the fridge, and would have expected at least 10 years service from it, as we have had 10/12 years service from fridges that we have paid a fraction of this cost for. We have contacted Whirlpool, who manufactured the fridge, and have had a very unsatisfactory response so far. We are still fighting our case, and we are prepared to take this all the way, to make sure that no-one else buys an Amana product. If we had been advised that the expected lifespan of this appliance was so short and would be unrepairable, we would never have bought it.

Bought $700.00 dollar stove in April. Got it in June so stove for cooking all this time without one. Now I get the darn thing and cant use the drawer on it. It does not slide at all so now I need storage.

This one was in the house when we bought it and it works great. No need to replace what is working so I am not going to be buying a new one anytime soon. This one is over the oven and it is stainless steel and looks good where it is.

Amazing furnace! Got some sweet upgrades like UV light to clean the air and WiFi connectivity so I can control the system from where ever we are. It’s been night and day difference this summer compared to last summer on the ease of keeping our home cool! We love our Amana furnace!

I bought my Amana bottom freezer refrigerator (Model # ABB 1924 WEWO) in August of 2010 for over $1100. By July 2012, it was leaking from the freezer. A thick layer of ice had collected under the freezer baskets and periodically defrosted and leaked. The Amana complaint department merely said that the refrigerator was out of warranty and offered to sell me a warranty for several hundred dollars. I refused the warranty and called a repairman who cost me $114. He said that the problem was a factory defect. The workers at the factory had plugged up the drain with a type of grommet called a duck bill. This kept the water from draining and caused the freezing. Clearly this was a factory defect, the result of incompetent workmanship and careless quality control. Of course, quality and Amana have become a contradiction in terms. I will never buy an Amana product, and I warn every other consumer to beware of Amana. In my experience, at the very least, this product is defective, and the company refuses to accept responsibility for the inferiority of its products.

Our Amana refrigerator ART316TFDW serial # VS62254299 purchased in 2016 failed in late 2019. The cost of parts to replace the evaporator and compressor is C$816.13 + labour + tax. The original unit cost was about C$725 + tax. We contacted Amana Canada about this. They said that since we dont have an extended warranty, there is nothing that they are willing to do. They apparently arent bothered by the fact that their product did not even last four years. That is not a good product and that is not good service. We will be buying another fridge, but can you guess whether it will be from Amana/Whirlpool Corporation?

Bought a new Amana washer/dryer in November 2018. Used it for 2 months and it quit working. Faulty motor had to be replaced. Very poor quality. We woulddefinitely never purchase another Amana product.

The washer and dryer are a nice size, nice colors. However not a whole lot detail on the door locks which is nice but afraid to open it if I need to add softener. Also I would like it to be a little more quietly.

We bought an Amana Top Loading Washer (NTW4605EW0) on July 22, 2016 to replace a front load Whirlpool Washer that had its control module go up. Big mistake! 9 months and 2 days later... what do you know same issue that we were having with the Whirlpool! The washer would not drain. Turned it off and unplugged it. Now it wont power back on and drain. I had to hand drain the washer as far as I could get it and pull all my soaking wet clothes out to finish hand washing them! I am beyond frustrated with all Whirlpool Corporations various holdings (Amana, Maytag, Whirlpool, and many more) washers. Never again will I buy any washer made by a single company owned by Whirlpool!

I purchased a Amana refrigerator stainless steel on December 14/2015. Two weeks after use stopped to work. I called to Flamingo repairs as recommended by the factory. They ask two weeks to come and see. When the technician came he said the compressor is death and we have to wait two more weeks to arrival of the new compressor. Ok fixed. But two more weeks later stopped again. I called again the Flamingo repair and they did the same procedure. After a lot of stress because many food lost they finally fixed. But two weeks later stopped again. So far Im waiting the technician to come again and fix it. Im very unhappy. I realize that I bought a garbage, waste of money. Each time that stop about Us 200,00 in a garbage. A lot of stress. Three months and just 4 weeks with refrigerator. Please do not buy Amana!

I have to wait till the washer finishes to add fabric softener. So that means I use more water, and that means my bill goes up!! If I try to pause it, it stops and I have to start all over again!! That washer SUCKS!!!! And the handle on the dryer is broken!

We purchased Amana Refrigerator model# ABB2222FEW on 8-15-06. We replaced control board when the refrigerator was only 2 yrs & 4 months old and it cost $216. Well guess what, it just went out again. The part cost me $111. My husband will try to replace it. If he cant, we will have to dish out another $100. This is ridiculous. Amana needs to step up and have a recall on this product. Stay away from Amana!!! Would like to give 0 stars. I work in a hotel and had ordered 5 PTAC units for some of the hotel rooms through a vendor/supplier we deal with. Each of the units came in boxes that were in relatively good shape. When the boxes were opened every yes every unit was damaged one way or another. On every one the condenser support brackets were bent and not attached to where they need to be, bent corners on 3 out of 5, compressor bolts on one unit was cross threaded and stripped, another unit had the compressor bolts and rubber bushings in the pan but the compressor was not bolted to the pan, and lastly a brand new unit that would not turn on (tried in other outlets to no avail). We had another Amana that was approximately 2 weeks old and the unit stopped working. Called Amana and waited 3 weeks for a tech to come and give us a reconditioned unit. Their box states American Pride. Shame on them.

Washer machine take a long time to wash. Dont know if it rinses cause its always in wash. Have never had a problem with any other brand but this one has been the first washer that I hate. I want my money back.

This refrigerator cost me around $400 over 25 years ago and is still going strong. I've broken several pieces to it and it still is kicking. I can't get this fridge to quit! It's as cold as ever and keeps everything great.

We have had our washer and dryer for 3 years and they have never been any good. My washer timer stopped working so we are having to sit and listen out for the machine to complete or it will continue to repeat the cycles all over again if we dont stop it ourselves. The washing machine also knocks so loudly that even the dogs next door begin to bark. Our dryer timer has also stopped working causing the heating element to not blow heat.

It is Amana Washer & Dryer that came with my house. Does very good job and I can choose water level for small loads. (Newer models do not allow in Calif.) It has second rinse option and dryer works great. Do not want front load washer or fancy model. This is really good for money paid.

Amana has more than met my expectation, in function and in appearance. I have enjoyed the bottom freezer. The only exception is the quality of the handle, broke within two years.

???? Amana Whirlpool Whirlpool Customer Care Center. The whole 4 MONTH experience to have our fridge replaced has been a joke. We have had 4 service technicians come out in order to decide we need the whole refrigerator replaced. Then it couldnt be shipped out for a whole month. Now it was supposed to be delivered today June 5th 2020 between 1:30-5:30pm. Only to be told that J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. Couldnt deliver it when they scheduled to because the driver ran out of hours, not blaming the driver. I blame the company for putting too many on the load so it couldnt be delivered on a 3 day ahead scheduled appointment.It absolutely should not take 4 freaking months to get a refrigerator much less during COVID-19 putting my family in more Danger to have to go to the store more for our needs for a family of 6. Not to mention both my husband and daugthers medications have to be kept cold. THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD WITH A WARRANTY ISSUE. I personally expected better from every company list because we have had issues with each department leading up to not have a working refrigerator for 4 months.. My wife and I bought this Amana washing machine & dryer as a set from Best Buy in Green Bay, Wisconsin, little over two years ago as a Christmas present from me & Linda, to myself & Linda. Just last week (2/9/2016), the wife was doing some laundry. When she closed the door it wouldnt lock, so the machine couldnt start its washing cycle. She asked me to come down. I looked at it, unplugged it, and waited a few minutes, thinking that it would reset itself. I plugged it back in and had the same issue. I turned the dial and there was a huge light, followed by the tell-tale noise of electrical components arching. Then there was a flash of light (from the back of the control panel, followed by a cute little mushroom cloud). I called Best Buy and informed them of what had happened. They said that there wasnt much they could do then transferred me to the customer service manager. She gave me the customer service number to Amana. Upon calling them, I had the feeling like I was bothering them (cold shoulder routine). Like the other complainant stated, Amana has been around for years, figured it was a solid, dependable product. Obviously, it isnt - quantity, not any quality anymore!!! After what seemed like an hour had passed, I finally hung up. Totally disgusted & frustrated with my experience. We both feel like we have been duped. My advice, DO NOT BUY ANY AMANA PRODUCT WHATSOEVER!!! Thanks Amana for nothing. I will not recommend your product to ANYONE!!! Pull your heads out of your **!!! I have had this microwave for about 32 years. It is still working. Doesn't look too good because of age. Wish I could find another one that would give this type of service.

In 2002 bought Amana Distinctions top load washer and electric dryer. They worked great for 11 years with zero problems. The dryer still works. The washer died because when I started hearing a strange noise a couple of weeks ago, I didnt do anything about it and kept using the machine. Then during a load it started smoking. Turned out a bearing or gear or something went bad and the belt got out of alignment and running like this killed the transmission. I really wish I had called the repair person when I first heard the noise because the repair is too expensive to justify. I have really loved the no frills controls, stainless steel wash tub, and extra-large capacity. So disappointed. :(

I was given an expensive (about $300/$400) Amana microwave last year. One year and one day exactly, it just quit. It wouldnt work, nothing. My daughter called the repair and they said theyd send out a repairman. He called to confirm the appointment and the first words were, Will this be credit, check or cash? I called the Amana company and they told me the cost would be $129 for the man to come to the house and diagnose the problem. Anything else would be extra as the warranty had expired (one day before the machine stopped working). For less than the service call, we got another brand of microwave that works just as well. If it goes out in a year, it will still be cheaper than anything Amana offers. To top this whole mess off, yesterday, about a month after the equipment failure, I got a standard form letter from Amana urging me to buy an extended warranty and the basic one year was about $60. This would have done me no good as the microwave was already broken and out of warranty. I sent a letter last night to the Amana customer service. I got another canned reply today about how good the warranty was and how sorry they were, but they couldnt apply any warranty to the old one because it had lapsed. This is an outrageous example of the planned obsolescence now in use. Amana used to be a top company up there with Maytag. My first microwave was an Amana Radarange. I bought it when they first came out and it lasted about 10 years. Now, this piece of junk that was expensive to begin with only lasted one year and one day. Amana should offer a complete refund to customers that have these problems. Ill never buy Amana again. And since Amana is now owned by Whirlpool/Maytag, Ill probably never buy them again either. How sad that American quality has gone down the drain just so the big companies can get richer at our expense.

The dryer stopped working right after the warranty. Replaced the motor. Still doesnt work. Replaced the fuse and again it still will not work. The only thing that I have not replaced on this pile of crap is the buzzer and that still works and its the only thing that does.

I cant stress enough how disappointed and upset I am, not only with the brand new refrigerator (model A9RXNMSWS01) breaking after 16 months, but nonsense communication, attitude, and difficulties Amana customer service just displayed! Warning: Do not purchase the top freezer, 2-door, stainless steel Amana refrigerator. The compressor will die soon after 12 months. The contracted repair person mentioned this is not uncommon with this brand. So, after spending $866 on this junk, we had to shell out another $300 in repair costs.Then the repair failed to work! Two Amana compressors defective! No, we did not have the extended warranty but how often does a fridge die? Not after 1.4 years! Amana CS was awful, combative and couldnt communicate a clear sentence. These are lemons!

This is our second Amana microwave. We have owned it for 20 plus years had it for 20 years & works great. Would recommend it and buy another anytime. Thats enough for me, I give it all fives or tens, terrific!

The washer has a very large capacity and is pretty basic, but does the job. I don't need all the options. It fill based on sensing the size of the load so I don't have to guess. It has basic look, but so far has performed very well. I like that it is American made.

Refrigerator freezer has been keeping it cool for over 10 years and it is still keeping the food at the correct temperature. I have replaced the refrigerator door seal, and from time to time have washed the inside with warm water and liquid detergent.

I bought an Amana Refrigerator Model ABB1924DEB in 2004. Within several months, it was making funny noises. Several repair technicians and hundreds of dollars later, all I was told was that those were normal sounds. They kept getting worse until the other day when the freezer and fridge no longer work. This was the worst purchase Ive ever made, and will never buy another Amana or Maytag product. Buyers beware! Now, as I look online, I see all these brands are owned by Whirlpool, along with many others. The company is running a damn monopoly and should be busted up. Whatever happened to competition? America loses when competition is stifled.

I hate all the bells & whistles of high-priced washers & dryers....they usually don't really do much but cause headaches. We opted for this fairly basic dryer & it works perfectly so far! It has a bit more room in it than our last one so the clothes come out virtually wrinkle-free! I would recommend it highly....unless you just NEED to spend more $$

I cannot complain because this thing cleans so much better than my previous washer, and looks so nice and clean to boot. But. I do wish it dried better - I expect a heated dry setting to actually get hot enough to totally dry the dishes.

I have had several gas stoves, ovens and this one seems to work perfect for me it doesnt have a bunch of bells and whistles its a plain Jane and I love it. If youre wanting something to cook with that evenly Cooks this is what you would want to buy Amanda is a good Appliance Ive had whirlpools, Frigidaire, GE, LG, Samsung but this is really good for just plain cooking.

Our old heat pump died and we needed a new one. I did a great deal of research and we chose this Amana model as the best value as it had a great price and great quality.

I like it and it works fine so far. I wish it did not have a push button on it, instead just pull, as I worry the push button will break, they are prone to, as opposed to pull doors on microwaves. It seems to work well, was easy to install and overall we are pleased with it.

We have had our Amana refrigerator for over 26 years and it is still going strong. I have always been pleased with its performance and will be sorry when I have to replace it. They dont make them to last anymore.

I bought an Amana stove 2 years ago. It has been in service 5 times within the last year. The temperature control board keeps messing up. Called customer service. They said to reset it. Which I had to do 3 times and still couldnt finish making dinner. It was last fixed in November and its out again. They really dont care. Told me buy extra warranty for 400$. REALLY!!! Lets just say my response was not nice. I told them since they didnt care I would let people know about my bad experience and terrible product, she hung up on me. Now I have a useless stove because it cost just as much to fix it than what I paid for it. I would never recommend this company or product to anyone.

I love the bottom freezer that is huge! The door also has various compartments of different sizes that stores a lot of easy to find foods. I needed a small space, but even though it is not a wide size, it holds a lot of food.

I have an Amana glass top range and an Amana microwave.. Both appliances the doors have fallen apart in the first two years that Ive owned them. The microwave was manufactured August of 2012. Just after the one year warranty expired the overhead light burned out. After that weve replaced it 4 times this year. The door is literally cracking apart. The range door glass has been falling out and will hit you in the legs if you close it wrong. I am sure that Amana is aware of the problems. They will not stand behind their product.

Three of my Amana appliances are not working. The Amana washer is 4.5 years old, the Amana oven and dishwasher are 6 years old. I understand that appliances break down but three so soon and at the same time????? Shame on Amana. Do not buy Amana products! I just paid $170 for a diagnostic evaluation to tell me that the repairs will cost me over $750. The issues I have with all three are common with other customer issues, yet the company does not issue recalls. I bought the stackable washer & dryer. If I end up needing a new washer, I dont know if I will be able to get one that will properly fit under the Amana dryer. I will never ever buy an Amana product again. Their products are defective and they do not care about customer service.

My refrigerator was just 11 months old when it started falling apart. All the plastic pieces, shelves, meat bin, crisper drawer, cheese drawer, door shelves, etc., began cracking, splitting and falling. I complained to Amanda and was told all these pieces are cosmetic, and didnt affect the operation of the refrigerator. After several complaints and letters, I was sent, as a 1 time courtesy, one shelf, and one drawer which also promptly broke. Tonight the door bin fell off taking another bin with it. A jar of pickles landed on my toe, and a bottle of hot sauce broke, and a cherry soda exploded. I would say that affects the function of the product. I also have a Whirlpool (same company) microwave and the plastic door cracked and split all over. Again, I was told it was just cosmetic. Never have I had such poor quality in a product that cost so much!

Bought brand new Amana washing machine from Home Depot and am very disappointed with the product. It does a lousy job of cleaning my clothes and will not fill up while I am loading (lid has to be closed for water to fill). Very disappointed not only has my money been wasted but also my time. Will never again buy anything Amana.

I was coming down the stairs to get my son a bottle at 6:00 AM and heard a strange noise. As I walked into the living room, it was filled with a foul smelling smoke. I yelled and woke up my father who came running down the stairs. My father unplugged the fridge from the wall and put the fire out. Our slate flooring is burnt, and my son and I had mild smoke inhalation.It has been over a month and we are waiting for parts to cover the repair or they will give us $200 for a new fridge. Our fridge was older but, just like most everyone else, it was the compressor that failed. I think Amana needs to recall their refrigerators and come up with a new design.

This stove is really easy to use and clean. It is not like the old style where you have to lift the top to clean underneath. The oven is very easy to clean also. The burners are easy lighting and also the oven is too.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator with a bottom freezer four years ago. I have now found out it needs $250 worth of repairs because the computer board has gone out and it was not going into the defrost cycle. As a result the bottom freezer was frosted up and the refrigerator was not working properly. Yes the repairs are cheaper than a new refrigerator, but I am still disappointed. This was not a cheap unit. I have had Amana appliances in the past and was pleased with them which is why I purchased this refrigerator. My microwave splatters really easy even when food is covered my a paper towel. It melts plastic easily. I have to pay closer attention when I use any plastic product. I like to microwave and leave while cooking. I cannot do this.

On 2/15/2010, I purchased an Amana Refrigerator for $1019. My old refrigerator was noisy. I had my new Amana for 7 months before it starting making loud noises. Had it repaired under my warranty. 11/25/2011, the refrigerators main part no longer was cooling, although the freezer was still working. Amana now wants $65 for a house call, plus labor and parts or $312 for a one year warranty which would include this repair. How disgusting is this to pay that much for an appliance and have it work for approximately 18 months, and then have the manufacturer want additional money it repair this lemon. After reading some of the reviews, I would never pay an Amana repair man and or buy Amana again. The consumer should be able to get relief from companies like this.

It does its job. Its easy to clean the removable filter. Rarely does it leave any residue, scrubs the dishes well. It takes tabs or powder cleaners. Easy to use, has few buttons to use, good machine!

Five week old Amana refrigerator is broken. ‘They’ cannot repair for two days. Over 200$ of food thrown out. House is on market. What a mess. Amana does not care about food loss. Amana does not care about 2 hours spent throwing out food, washing containers; and refrigerator.

Since the purchase of the Amana fridge, installed 4/2014 has been repaired 3 times and now the icemaker has failed again. Called to schedule a repair and was told that the policy has been cancelled for non-payment. The extended warranty and unit are paid in full at the time of purchase! Of all the appliances Ive owned in the last 45 years, this is undoubtedly the worst of the bunch. Am I required to go through the hassle of making a copy and sending it to prove the warranty is still in force? No! What a runaround! DO NOT PURCHASE AMANA PRODUCTS! Unless you want a lemon and have to make your own ice. To date, the water pump and icemaker has been replaced. 1st replacement of the icemaker was put in wrong and had to have service tech come back to fix that issue.

Machine is a disappointment. It does not fill all the way up with water. You must put on deep wash just to do a medium load. Also, you cannot open it to fix it when during the spin cycle it gets off balance. You must turn the machine off and start over again.

I purchased my refrigerator 4 years ago. Today, (bottom) freezer quit. I called the original store for info; 4 years old so it’s out of warranty. I called another service company - more than the first. I sought Amana online and called toll free. They confirmed there is nothing they can do due to past 1 year warranty. I called my friend who bought the same fridge; she had the same problem and invested much money into fridge, which never worked correctly. I then found many customers online having the same problem at 4 years; compressor quits! This should not be with a new fridge. I called the Amana toll free number back and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke with Sherri, ID# **. After putting me on hold, she advised she would sell me an extended warranty for $392.39 to fix the freezer! This should not be; I told her I should pursue a class action suit as many customers have had the same complaint.

I bought the set at Menards April 2016. The washer is absolutely awful. It never gets the clothes clean, never! It never has enough water in it no matter what setting I have it on no matter how big or small the load. You cant leave the lid open for a pre soak or it resets itself. Ive tried all the recommended steps Amana added to the instructions. Im so disappointed. I will never buy an Amana or Maytag product again. Yesterday I went to take clothes out of the dryer and I havent had an issue with the dryer until I pulled the door open and the handle on the dryer broke.I felt when I was making this purchase that Amana was a trusted brand. So I didnt listen to my feelings and I bought this product anyway. Money dont come easy for me so Im stuck using this monster that dont get whites, white and wont fill with water according to my load. All the complaints on this website are true. The interior paint is peeling off in big flakes now. Before they were small, but a large part of the paint on the bottom of the oven is gone. I have contacted Maytag Corp. and was told to call a service person. From what I have seen online, this is an inherent problem with this product and the company should issue a recall and make an effort to fix it at no expense to the owner. The microwave still operates perfectly, but the fear of fire or paint in food prevents me from using it.

This machine does not wash clothes very well. Everything must be hand washed beforehand. So for lightly soiled items, it would be nice to be able to just rinse and spin/dry. But even this small feature is impossible to isolate. The spin cycle leaves clothes quite wet. The rinse cycle adds more water than the wash cycle does and takes forever. Remember that I am getting the dirt out by washing the clothes by hand. The wash cycle does such a poor job. When I put the bed cover in for a wash, the water level did not wet more than half of the cover. So I manually filled it with water from the sink. The washer released the water out. So I wasted all that soap and effort. I took the cover to the laundromat. This machine does not wash laundry well. It has one reason for being in the house: to wash laundry, and I am doing clothes by hand or going to a laundromat. #fail.

Our fridge is 20 years old and we encountered our first issue a few months ago. There is a detailed description of problems and solutions on the internet and my husband was able to fix the problem for less than $40.

I bought my washer and dryer in 2002 from Lowes. I got the Platinum Warranty. I just feel one should always get additional warranty on major purchases such as appliances. After12-13 years of having them, with VERY minor issues given the number of years I have had them, my dryer broke down beyond repair. My washing machine is still going strong though! Because of this I purchased another Amana dryer. I am very pleased with the durability of this product. When I bought the set in 2002 the salesman said they are the workhorse of washer and dryers. I can tell you after 13 years he was right! All I can find, right now, is my owners manual with the 2000 date.

ACF3325AB - Self cleaning mode turned on by itself and melted the entire inside of the door. Fumes were horrible. Had to air out my house in freezing temperatures with my 93 year old mother and 3 year old grandson in the house. They told us to disconnect everything and they will send a repairman out in 5 DAYS! Prior to this incident, the oven was turning off in the middle of cooking. This product should be recalled!

This refrigerator has been a good choice for us. We love the freezer being on the bottom. So much room on the top and easy to get anything out of the freezer. It has the one door, not the split two.

Do not buy Amana!! Purchased a washer and dryer on 5/24/16. Washer will not drain but is full of water. They want me to sit at home on a Thursday (NEXT WEEK), today is Monday, until a repairman shows up. No idea when. Just wants me to wait. Informed them I will have the washer, water supply and a cord to plug into outside because they arent entering my house. I am an independent driver for people needing rides to Dr, Grocery and so on. I did inform them I could wait but a $20.00 an hour fee will be charged. Ill let you know what happens if I can.

I purchased a new Amana stove for a rental property in GA at the beginning of Sept. It has NEVER worked. When I called they said they could only speak to the tenant, when she called it was past the 48 hours of delivery and since I didn’t get the warranty they would have someone come out and repair it... ok fine. The company was a no-show and no call twice. Then I get a letter from the GA housing authority that I am required to have a working stove within two days. I was forced to purchase a second stove for the renting family. I called and called Amana to pick up the useless stove and credit my account. They were extremely rude on the phone and refused to take it back. Not when I call the new repair company told me it would be fixed the day after Thanksgiving, following up today they now say the part is on backorder until next month. This will be three months now that I purchased the stove and fortunately am paying zero interest on through HD. I cannot believe the lack of customer service with Amana. I will NEVER EVER do any business with them again!!!

I am really upset that I have to keep resetting this machine. I have lived in my house for 16 years and the washer I had before lasted years with no problems. Then I buy a Amana washer and have had to reset it so many times. Its terrible, the warranty dont last. Its costing me more to get it fixed than it costed in the store. I purchased the Amana 25.1 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator in Stainless Steel, Model# ASD2522WRS from Home Depot 15 months ago, in September 2010. Two weeks ago, all my food in my fridge spoiled. I noticed while I was pouring milk in my sons cup, something told me to taste it because it didnt smell fresh even though it had over three weeks until expiration. It tasted like sour cream. I am so glad my child didnt drink that. I almost threw up. Also, I had four-day old ice tray in my freezer that was still liquid, my ice cream softened and all my sons popsicles crumbled to my touch. I had to throw away majority of our food and weve been eating carry outs since. I contacted Amana and they told me the warranty was only good for 12 months. They scheduled for a technician to come to my house for repairs. I was suppose to be priority since I was stuck at home without food. I waited all day for technicians to come and/or call. I even tried to call and couldnt get through since their lines were busy. I left a message and received a return call the next day. Amana gave them the wrong phone number. I wasnt given a quote so I asked the technicians directly for a estimate and they said they were going to charge me $129 just to come to my house + charges. Say what now? That is ridiculous.

French doors are great. The cover over the meat keeper broke and can’t be repaired or replaced. Freezer is nice, but I struggle to find anything in it, however the two sliding drawers are nice. Great ice maker, keeps up easily.

This washer has been with me about 20 years and keeps on keeping on. Does a good job on spin out. Not too loud.. It's got three load sizes. If I buy another one it will be this kind. I bought it at Lowe's.

Bought a Amana HVAC in 8/14. In one month serviceman had install a hard start kit on the AC unit. When it starts the current it pulls shuts down all the florescent lights in the whole house. After the kit was installed all the lights still blink. A hard start kit is only used on units that are at the end of their life. NOT at the beginning. This not my first rodeo. The furnace (which also controls the AC) locks up any time the power goes off. I manually must turn thermostat off, turn off the furnace breaker, wait 10 minutes, switch the breaker on and the thermostat on for anything to work again. This is a weekend home so having a reliable furnace/AC is critical. Yes I have had the rural electric company out the check the power at the pole/house and at the AC unit. The power is not only good but exceptional.I have called each day for 4 weeks. Every time I get the same response. Your customer service guy is... He is waiting on a email from the Technical dept. I had a hard start kit installed on a different house in a different city. I asked the guy about this. He gave me a answer in less than 5 minutes. Answering the phone in less than 5 minutes does not give them the right to give a BS response! Oh BTW now the Amana service guy has sent me a bill for the hard start kit as that is not covered under warranty!!!

I purchased a brand new Amana 3.5 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer with Dual Action Agitator (model NTW4516FW2) in July 2018 from Home Depot. The product has completely stopped working after just over 2.5 years of normal usage in a small household of 2 people. According to the repair representative, the controller has stopped working and needs to be replaced at a cost of more than $500 which would be more than the price paid. The product lasted less than a quarter of the expected lifespan of 12 years. A call to the company that owns Amana (Whirlpool) provided no reprieve such as a discount on a replacement purchase or credit towards other Whirlpool products.

A nice dishwasher that was easy to install, looks good and has simple controls. Works well.

We have an Amana 30 slide-in gas range (model # ACS3350AS) that is about 6 years old. The top burners are out of adjustment and are burning yellow. I went to the Amana website to find out how to adjust the air/fuel ratio and they wanted payment for answering a question. I spent 35 years in the gas customer service department of a large utility company, 20 of which were spent as a service technician for gas heating/hot water heating systems. After reading some of the complaints and evaluating their level of customer service and overall customer sensitivity, this company, Amana, is failing miserably. The upshot is that their executive management should probably seek positions that require a more parochial approach to business.

Gentlemen I buy all my appliances on July 2013 on Home Depot and in Oct 2014 my washer machine does not work. I call the company and they replace the computer, now 6 month later all the paint was rust and peeling. My refrigerator since the first day the Home Depot installs never delivery water on the door, and now the icemaker water conduct is freezing every two days and dont make ice. I will have a very bad experience with your products and never ever will buy again.

Purchased a new Amana Washing Machine, top loader. Repair personnel just left. Oil was leaking from underneath the front. They said, Two to three weeks for new motor and other parts. I was told to continue to use it. My concern is that if there is no oil how can the motor work and the motor is the main part with additional parts. How can I continue to use it? This is a safety concern. If motor has to be replaced because the oil is gone, wouldnt it overheat causing a fire hazard, or further damage to the appliance?Updated on 09/25/2015: The repair technician just left, after a six week wait for six new parts including motor. Everything below the top. It had leaked oil onto the floor. No water damage. Just the motor and all its internal parts. This was a brand new product not a refurbished product, so I paid full price. After the ninth load of clothes this happened and less than ninety days I had go without using my washer. To my dislike I havent been offered a new product replacement nor reimbursed for my inconvenience. Im having Trust issues even right now on using my newly repaired new product. This is concerning to me. It is for this reason that I would have to rate this product a ZERO.

I am a renter. The apartment space came with a basic Amana gas range. I experienced large flare ups. Come to find out the previous tenant tried to clean by lifting the top - like every other stove in the world and broke the fittings causing a gas leak. There were no instructions available to indicate that this stove cannot be cleaned, and the very act of lifting the top, which is not restricted in any way, breaks the tubing that houses the gas. How are people supposed to stay safe with this stove? It will be repaired, what about the next tenant? There were several flare ups, almost explosions. The repairman said we were lucky.
