I bought an Amana clothes washer in December and it died on March 6th. I have contacted the company about trying to get a refund and got a form letter and a rude customer service person... Im sending them a certified letter and then filing in small claims court to try to get my money back. So save yourself a hassle and buy another brand.

I purchased my refrigerator 4 years ago. Today, (bottom) freezer quit. I called the original store for info; 4 years old so it’s out of warranty. I called another service company - more than the first. I sought Amana online and called toll free. They confirmed there is nothing they can do due to past 1 year warranty. I called my friend who bought the same fridge; she had the same problem and invested much money into fridge, which never worked correctly. I then found many customers online having the same problem at 4 years; compressor quits! This should not be with a new fridge. I called the Amana toll free number back and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke with Sherri, ID# **. After putting me on hold, she advised she would sell me an extended warranty for $392.39 to fix the freezer! This should not be; I told her I should pursue a class action suit as many customers have had the same complaint.

Our three year old Amana bottom freezer fridge did not cool the upper fridge. After checking coils, etc. called a repairman who took about 5 minutes to diagnose the problem: control board failure. $200+ (Canadian) for the part, $135 service call, plus tax. Just under $400. Ive suggested to Amana/Whirlpool that they consider building a better product. Repair guy sees it often. He carries the boards in his van. He did say that Whirlpool brands are getting worse, but couldnt say who was getting better. Sad and annoying and just bad business by a company that could do better, but probably wont.

I guess I would say it is a high 5 but it is June and I have not used the heat portion of the system yet. The AC works great so far and sounds efficient. The calling mechanism is instant.

This was a dishwasher put in by the Seller of a home I was purchasing. I am a single senior who runs a dishwasher maybe every 10 days I would say. After just 2 years, the spray arm quit spraying water. This model only has one spray arm on the bottom. Research tells me its one of two things, pump or motor I think, and either way, I might as well buy a new dishwasher. This to me is totally unacceptable that an appliance would break down in such a short period of time. Do not recommend for this reason. When it worked, it did a fine job on the dishes. But Im a scraper and rinser and never put in pots and pans etc. I just cant recommend throwing $300 down the drain.

We purchased an Amana ref from our local appliance store in the Renton Highlands, a model A9RXNGFYW. In 2011, during its warranty, we called store about the overheating problem. Told that needs to be addressed to the Amana people. Called them. They say this is normal operations. Now I am talking about heat that burns when you touch anyplace around the freezer seal & side of fridge. Just want to hear if anyone else has this problem. Thank you.

I have been a loyal Amana, Whirlpool, Maytag, Kitchen Aid customer for close to 50 years now. My 7 year old French Door Amana Refrigerator still works fine, but has a product defect, the heater. Ice forms on the bottom of the Freezer compartment, and if not removed every 3 weeks (manually defrost) it will melt and run onto the floor. I had it repaired 1½ years ago for $503. Less than 8 months later the problem reappeared. There is a class action lawsuit for this well known issue. But Amana refuses to act. I called Amana and they told me they would gladly send a repair person out to look at the issue - AT MY EXPENSE!!!! Thats all they will do. Yesterday I bought my first Non-Whirlpool appliance, a GE refrigerator. I will never buy Amana, Whirlpool, Maytag or Kitchen Aid again - NEVER!!!

Just purchased an Amana HVAC system...AC/Heater/Coil. Very satisfied with system and Professional installation by Dibiase Heating and Cooling company. Looking forward to Many years of efficient, reliable and quiet operation.

My fridge is seven and a half years old. It is an SS Amana side-by-side. About three years ago, so it was five years old at the time, the fridge stopped cooling. And when the repair man came, out the freezer coils were all frosted up. At this time, he replaced the defrost timer but said he did not feel comfortable that that was it. That was in June. In November, it happened again. We replaced it yet again. Well, it now happened at least every three to four months. Sometimes we can reset the timer and it will work for a while again. I have read all the reviews and they are so numerous I cannot even read them all. Obviously, something with this product is extremely faulty. I have asked them to come out and get to the root cause of the problem, and they insist on charging me just for the service call. Thats not to mention the part cost. I really wish I could afford a new fridge because this one is a real pain in the neck. I’m so frustrated. I will never ever buy an Amana product again.

I bought it May 26 2017. l have a lot of trouble with it. They came and put a new part in on 28th of Aug 2017 because it was freezing everything. They said that should do it. Now 2 weeks later the same thing freezing everything again. Been trying to get them to take it back. They just keep passing me to someone else. So if you are looking to purchase a fridge dont buy a Amana. They are garbage and here is the model number ART316TFDW01 so think before you buy this fridge. l bought mine at the brick and they not helping me. lm still trying to get it replaced. It been 3weeks now and nothing is being done by the company. They just keep passing it on.

We purchased a basic model Amana refrigerator A9RXNMFWB01 in June 2010, delivered in July 2010. The refrigerator was making a lot of noise the past few months. We didnt realize the fan was not working properly. When the fan quit, the food was still frozen in the top freezer. But the refrigerator compartment would not go below 50 degrees. I called for the Amana technician. A & E couldnt make it over until the following week, so we called a local repairman. $182 later, new fan, the refrigerator is fixed. Its only 15 months old! Our old Amana is still running since 1997. We have never had troubles with a refrigerator in our 35 years of buying appliances. Now I see on reviews of compressors going bad. Appliances are not made well and we will be lucky to get 8 years out of this Amana with cheap parts. There go our landfills. What can we buy that wont cost hundreds to fix? We have never had to buy extended warranty. This is a money maker for Amana (Maytag, Whirlpool). It’s a lesson learned. I’m very dissatisfied. I feel we deserve to be compensated for this breakdown, especially since it acted up during the 1st year of warranty. We shall see if Amana can make it right.

My Amana bottom freezer refrigerator, which is about 6 years old, broke down in November 2011. The circuit board was the reason as advised by the service man. I declined the offer of a 3-year warranty and agreed to pay for a new circuit board--about $350 if not more. I planned on changing the fridge in any case so I agreed to pay. This April, five months had gone by and the freezer is all iced up. The upper section of the fridge is not blowing in cool air so I called the service people again. The service man opens the freezer, takes away the back panel, uses the blow dryer, opens the back area and tells me its the circuit board again.A new circuit board in 5 months at a cost of 1,200 shekels? No way! How does a reputable company like Amana supply circuit boards that last for only 5 months? Something was very wrong. I asked the service manager over the telephone to leave the old circuit board and I would send it to Amana to see if it is an authentic Amana spare part or some phony Chinese part that breaks down every 6 months. The service man told me to buy warranty. I asked him if he was an insurance sales man or a refrigerator repair man. It seems that they are big on selling warranties because all spare parts are fakes, faulty or simply of bad quality.Anyhow, I got very angry and said there is no chance that I will pay another $350-$400 for another circuit board, when in another 6 months, I will have to change it again. But because I have warranty, then I will get it for free. Still, it doesnt solve the problem of the circuit board failing every 6 months-- bad quality, made in China. Then, I got my circuit board for free. The service man took the old board away, with the unmarked box and left as fast as he could--suspicious. I can almost say for sure that the circuit board placed inside the fridge is not an original spare part and that seems to be the way the service people work here in Israel. I will let you all know in another 6 months. But Amana is no longer a choice of mine. I think I will buy Smeg. My stove and dishwasher are, so far, problem free.Amana is a big disappointment. This customer complaint should have a Facebook page. You would probably reach a lot more people faster and maybe then would these big corporations think twice about selling their faulty, low-quality appliances.

I just purchased an Amana washer this February and already its stop working. I havent even got to use it much. It has been down since May 26, 2016 and counting. DONT BUY AMANA! You hear me. Their product is junk.

My wife and I bought this Amana washing machine & dryer as a set from Best Buy in Green Bay, Wisconsin, little over two years ago as a Christmas present from me & Linda, to myself & Linda. Just last week (2/9/2016), the wife was doing some laundry. When she closed the door it wouldnt lock, so the machine couldnt start its washing cycle. She asked me to come down. I looked at it, unplugged it, and waited a few minutes, thinking that it would reset itself. I plugged it back in and had the same issue. I turned the dial and there was a huge light, followed by the tell-tale noise of electrical components arching. Then there was a flash of light (from the back of the control panel, followed by a cute little mushroom cloud). I called Best Buy and informed them of what had happened. They said that there wasnt much they could do then transferred me to the customer service manager. She gave me the customer service number to Amana. Upon calling them, I had the feeling like I was bothering them (cold shoulder routine). Like the other complainant stated, Amana has been around for years, figured it was a solid, dependable product. Obviously, it isnt - quantity, not any quality anymore!!! After what seemed like an hour had passed, I finally hung up. Totally disgusted & frustrated with my experience. We both feel like we have been duped. My advice, DO NOT BUY ANY AMANA PRODUCT WHATSOEVER!!! Thanks Amana for nothing. I will not recommend your product to ANYONE!!! Pull your heads out of your **!!! Mr. & Mrs. pissed off in the beautiful far Northwoods of Wisconsin.

Amana Top Load Washer W10740545A; W10740546A - This washer was purchased from Albert Lee Appliances, Bellevue, WA, on 3/31/2015 and installed on 4/7/2015. It failed to operate for the first time on 8/5/2015. Once the appliance is installed, the customers are on their own and Albert Lee turns over repair to a company named Appliance Hospital, Seattle, WA. It does not seem like a good business decision to not also be responsible for repair for how can they gauge what products reliably serve their customers?An Appliance Hospital technician arrived on 8/7/2015, pressed the same start button that we had been engaging and the washer worked. He left with the promise that a new controller would be ordered -- not received or installed as of this date. Thus, it appears that we are involved with an intermittent failure. This does not translate to reliability concerns on the part of Albert Lee Appliances, Appliance Hospital and especially Amana-Whirlpool. Apparently, none of these businesses are concerned with the stocking of an appropriate number of repair parts locally. I would recommend that other buyers not consider doing business with the above.

I purchased a washer machine a year ago. I even got the extended warranty on it; which doesnt run out until 2018. Ever since I have had this washer there has been problem after problem. I have even had new parts such as the transmission put on there, but the washing machine is still messed up. I have had to go to the laundromat to wash clothes and to my sons house. That should not be when I have a washer at home. I do not recommend this company to anyone. If I could return it I would but unfortunately my 30 days are long over. Im stuck with a washer that stays broke more than it stays working. Thank you for the worthless merchandise.

I have an Amana refrigerator that is less than 1 year old. It makes a very loud chattering noise. I have been trying to get it serviced since Jan 31. There is no certified service in Clatsop County. After 3 months of phone calls with Amana They told me to find my own. I finally called Sears and a tech came out. Now I have to pay all the costs and wait to be reimbursed. Horrible customer service.

My experience was great. I love my appliance and I had to get a new and it was the perfect price. My stove went out right before my sister baby shower and we were worried as to how we were going to cook. Went to Badcock furniture and they bought it the day before the shower.

Purchased a microwave on 11/28. Had it installed on 11/29. Does not work. They would not replace. I was told I had to go through their process to order parts. Today is 12/21. Service guy came out and cannot fix. Now I have to wait for their process again for them to replace. This is terrible. Christmas is in 4 days and Ill have been a month without a microwave.

On Sept 26, 2011, when the fridge part of my Amana Refrigerator, Model # ABL192ZFES, Serial # 10379497JX, was not cooling properly, I phoned Trail Appliance where I purchased the fridge. They gave me the number of W3 solutions, a contract service company at 1-866-913-1350, and I was given the Extended Warranty Order # G09264, claim # 95199095. The freezer was working fine at this time. A week later, a technician came and told me he needed to order parts to correct the problem.On Nov 7, 2011, a technician came and told me that he would replace the compressor and relay and that the fridge would work fine for many years to come. On Nov 8, 2011, I awoke to find my fridge and freezer not working at all and all the food in the freezer melted. I phoned the technician all day and left messages, on his answering machine, but there was no reply. On Nov 9, 2011 at 10am, I phoned W3 solutions at 1-866-913-1350 and let them know what was happening. The representative then issued a new work order and told me it would be10 days before anyone got back to me. I lost around $200 worth of food and phoned Trail Appliance to complain and try to recover the cost of the food I lost. They told me they could not cover the food cost and I should contact W3 Solutions. I am now without a fridge and not scheduled for an appointment with a technician until Nov 16, 2011.I stayed home all day on Tuesday Nov 15, 2011 but there was no phone call. On Wednesday Nov 16, 2011, at 11 am, I received a phone call from the technician. He told me he had been on a vacation to Hawaii for a week and had received a dispatch for service on my fridge the day before. He told me that the brand new compressor that he had installed on Nov 7, had completely seized up, and he would have to order a new one. I asked him how long that would take and he replied a few daysI am living on canned food at the moment, being without a working fridge or freezer. I made this clear to the technician and he said that this was the best he could do. Its not good enough!It is now 2 months since I initiated the service call and have struggled without a working fridge. There seems to be no accountability for the technicians doing the work, since the technician who installed the compressor and relay would not return my calls. If there is a problem after a technician leaves, the only option is to phone W3 Solutions to book another appointment with a technician to start the process all over again. Then if a technician has to order parts, you wait for the parts to come by snail mail to the technician and service can take months. It would seem that they are trying hard to wear the customer down so as to purchase a new appliance, and skip the service calls. This is ridiculous and I am not happy with Trail Appliance, Whirlpool or W3 Solutions who do contract service for Whirlpool. Its unacceptable!

I was given an expensive (about $300/$400) Amana microwave last year. One year and one day exactly, it just quit. It wouldnt work, nothing. My daughter called the repair and they said theyd send out a repairman. He called to confirm the appointment and the first words were, Will this be credit, check or cash? I called the Amana company and they told me the cost would be $129 for the man to come to the house and diagnose the problem. Anything else would be extra as the warranty had expired (one day before the machine stopped working). For less than the service call, we got another brand of microwave that works just as well. If it goes out in a year, it will still be cheaper than anything Amana offers. To top this whole mess off, yesterday, about a month after the equipment failure, I got a standard form letter from Amana urging me to buy an extended warranty and the basic one year was about $60. This would have done me no good as the microwave was already broken and out of warranty. I sent a letter last night to the Amana customer service. I got another canned reply today about how good the warranty was and how sorry they were, but they couldnt apply any warranty to the old one because it had lapsed. This is an outrageous example of the planned obsolescence now in use. Amana used to be a top company up there with Maytag. My first microwave was an Amana Radarange. I bought it when they first came out and it lasted about 10 years. Now, this piece of junk that was expensive to begin with only lasted one year and one day. Amana should offer a complete refund to customers that have these problems. Ill never buy Amana again. And since Amana is now owned by Whirlpool/Maytag, Ill probably never buy them again either. How sad that American quality has gone down the drain just so the big companies can get richer at our expense.

I bought a new town home which comes with an Amana refrigerator. This is a very bad experience. The fridge never ever works properly on any settings. The freezer is always freezing or producing snow ice that blocks the flow of ice and the ice keep on coming out of the place where its supposed without stopping. Water leaks all night from the water flow place... the worst appliance I have ever had.

I recently moved into a new apartment and the washer and dryer had already been used by the previous tenants. I used the washer with a small load on a cold cycle, and when the load was finished, my clothes were still DRY! Some of the clothes had wet spots but for the most part, my clothes looked like someone just splashed water on them. I had to redo the cycle on a larger load setting. My clothes came out FULL of someone elses lint.The dryer. Ohhh, the dryer. I then place my linty clothes in the dryer to see if they will be removed. I do a full 60 minute cycle. I open up the dryer when it is finished and my load is warm, but still damp! After 60 minutes on hot! I have to run the dryer 4 TIMES to dry a load of laundry. Needless to say, the landlord was called and he is replacing, but God, please dont let him buy another set of Amana washer and dryer. Please!!!

The Amana gas range was installed new in late 2013. The stovetop flames do not have enough adjustment, either the flame is too high or too low, theres hardly any just right flame settings. We already had to replace the igniter for the oven. That detent position for the oven door where you can leave it cracked open a little and failed within a month or so. I would certainly never buy another one.

I bought an Amana gas dryer less than a year ago, the paint on the inside started peeling off and messing up our clothes. So I get a hold of customer service and they tell me it dont cover anything after 30 days!!! Are you kidding me 400 dollar piece of scrap metal... stay far away from this brand - they do not support their product!!

We are a single couple with few loads to run. After 3 years our Amana front load washer circuit board went out. It was replaced with a three hundred dollar new one. 3 years after the replacement was installed, the replacement went haywire. This is a circuit board part that everyone says is no longer available because the manufacturer doesnt want to replace anymore.So, long story short: Original cost of new Amana front load originally: $560. Cost of first replacement circuit board $385. (Replacement part lasted 2 years). New cost to replace our Amana washer $600. New cost to haul off Amana washer $50. Wow! My total $1,595. It used to be that Amana was a great name. Ill never buy from them again.

I bought an Amana stove 2 years ago. It has been in service 5 times within the last year. The temperature control board keeps messing up. Called customer service. They said to reset it. Which I had to do 3 times and still couldnt finish making dinner. It was last fixed in November and its out again. They really dont care. Told me buy extra warranty for 400$. REALLY!!! Lets just say my response was not nice. I told them since they didnt care I would let people know about my bad experience and terrible product, she hung up on me. Now I have a useless stove because it cost just as much to fix it than what I paid for it. I would never recommend this company or product to anyone.

This refrigerator has been a good choice for us. We love the freezer being on the bottom. So much room on the top and easy to get anything out of the freezer. It has the one door, not the split two.

Purchased an Amana washer nine years ago, and the washer is only used once a week. And you would think it would last longer. Were talking about two loads a week. It will cost $300 to repair. What has happened to the craftsmanship of some of our appliances? And I have noted that if I had a family, it would have malfunctioned sooner, but if its only me, it would take longer. All of the complaints that I discovered so far are mostly about the seal and the leaking water from the bottom. So I spent $75 to have a repairman tell me it would cost $300. How can Amana continue to manufacture these washers without having a recall? The model number is NAV2330AWW, serial number NO1004341EG. I have seen this model mentioned in several complaints. I will never buy another Amana brand item. It is not fair when a company has existed forever and continues to manufacture poor quality products. Who can you trust, who stands behind their name saying we are the best, who knowingly manufactures and sells a product with a short service life? That is Amana. It is all about the profit and not about a positive reputation. It is my fault for not Googling about Amanas complaints regarding their washers. It would have saved me at least $75 for the diagnostic repair fee.

We were very pleased with Swan - Zach and Josh went above and beyond every step of the way with explaining the installation process. We're excited with the Amana products and hope they live a long time with us (ha).

On 2/15/2010, I purchased an Amana Refrigerator for $1019. My old refrigerator was noisy. I had my new Amana for 7 months before it starting making loud noises. Had it repaired under my warranty. 11/25/2011, the refrigerators main part no longer was cooling, although the freezer was still working. Amana now wants $65 for a house call, plus labor and parts or $312 for a one year warranty which would include this repair. How disgusting is this to pay that much for an appliance and have it work for approximately 18 months, and then have the manufacturer want additional money it repair this lemon. After reading some of the reviews, I would never pay an Amana repair man and or buy Amana again. The consumer should be able to get relief from companies like this.

Refrigerator has unique closed seal feature. When door is closed, vacuum seal is created by small pump. Feature keeps door sealed more tightly, but sometimes difficult to open. Model has only one shelf, two shelves would be more versatile.

Bought an Amana Refrigerator AFI2359ERM00 Dec 2015 and it crapped out 4 months after the 1 year warranty expired. Imagine that. Glad I bought the extended warranty through Home Depot! LoL since April 2017 my fridge has quit working 5 times and totally defrosted and ruined 5 fridge full of food. Freds Appliance has been out 5 times to try to fix it and cant. It seems to break down every 3 weeks or so. Then after 2-3 days of clicking and buzzing it starts cooling again. Well the quickest they can get out is 4 days and by then its up and running and the tech says well I pushed a few buttons and cant find anything wrong. Amana/Whirlpool has washed their hands of it because of the extended warranty I bought through HD. HD wont replace it because they claim the SAME part has to be replaced 3 times before it is considered a lemon. Been in limbo since April and its so frustrating.Dont waste your money on Amana. Poor quality! Even worse customer service. Same with HD. Very robotic in their responses. They are all sorry Im having an issue, but wont take responsibility. Plus since the unit seems to break down when Im not at home and all of the ice from the hopper melts and runs down the front of the fridge all over the floor. Now it has ruined my hardwood floor all around the unit. What a POS.

We had a brand new house built two years ago. The builder installed Amana appliances, except the fridge and washer and dryer, which we furnished. Our dishwasher gave out after only a year and a half. It was more effective to buy a new one than to have the part replaced. 6 months later, our oven just gave out as well. Itll cost half the price to have someone to come look at it as it will to replace it, and if nothing is wrong were out $200 off the bat. Horrible customer service and horrible product integrity, what an awful company!

Amazing furnace! Got some sweet upgrades like UV light to clean the air and WiFi connectivity so I can control the system from where ever we are. It’s been night and day difference this summer compared to last summer on the ease of keeping our home cool! We love our Amana furnace!

We have an Amana refrigerator model ARB2557CSR. We have had it for 8 years. We have had a few repairs over the years, but last night took the wind out of all of us that witnessed the door fall off the hinge and break the contents that were on the door. If anyones foot would have been in the area, it would had sliced it off or crushed terribly. The door was opened and for unknown reason, dropped off onto our slate floor. If our grandson would have been near, he could have been crushed. I checked the hinges and sprockets, and it still didnt make sense.After reading other remarks about doors in consumer reviews, I am one to be added to the list. This door was one large door, not double door. It was heavy. Please be aware of this defect. I am looking at other models, yet similar malfunctions have occurred that reviews have stated. Really a frightening experience. We will be looking at other models, yet not really confident about any. Hope this helps.

Bought a French door freezer on the bottom Amana fridge three years ago. Today, there is a repairman here costing me $300 to repair a faulty computer unit. It wont defrost so it froze the line where the cold air goes from the freezer to the fridge. The freezer is all ice crystals, the fridge is warm. All our food and frozen food is garbage. Weve only had it for three years. Our last GE fridge lasted for 30 years without a repair.

We have had our Amana Furnace and air conditioning for about a month. We have not needed the furnace so far, but the air conditioning has been beyond expectations. Coupled with the Ecobee thermostat, the system is much quieter than any HVAC system that we have ever had. The thermostat runs the fan every 15 minutes and the whole house comfortable.

I purchased a new home in the summer of 2013. I bought a new Amana washer and dryer set for my home. So to my surprise after about six months, the washing machine sounded like it was going to shoot through my roof. I unplugged the washing machine several times to rest the computer, nothing changed. Now when I press the play button on the washer, it only fills up to wash a load and thats it - no agitation or nothing. I spent well over $800.00 of my hard-earned money on something that is suppose to last for years, not a year and a half and it takes a dump. I didnt buy a extended warranty because I bought Amana products in the past, I thought this washer and dryer set was going to be reliable. So now I have go buy a new washer and it wont be Amana and thats for sure. Im thinking Ill take my chances with LG or Samsung.

AER6303MFS - My hope in ordering this range was to receive a reasonably-priced, decent quality product that would serve me well over the next several years. Granted, I was aware that this was by no means a top-of-the-line appliance, but upon researching it I found that it had good reviews overall and felt confident about purchasing it. Fast forward to last week, when my range was delivered on a Monday. Everything appeared to be working well upon arrival when I inspected it, and I was excited to have a nice-looking, well functioning appliance for my kitchen.On Friday evening, I decided to use my new oven for some baking. When I pulled the handle to open the door, the whole thing just fell into pieces. Little pieces of plastic and a strip of trim scattered on the floor. The door handle itself was hanging by a thread, and the glass panel front of the door was loose and I was afraid that it was also going to fall off. Needless to say, I did not do any baking that day. The following Monday, I called the Amana customer service line (they are not open on weekends) to report that my product was defective.After talking with them, and the appliance customer service line for the retailer where I bought the product, and being transferred to several different representatives over the course of 1.5 hours, the bottom line was that I was stuck with my defective range unless I wanted to pony up the cash for a brand new one. Amana is willing to repair the defects, which of course I am skeptical about because who knows what else is broken in that hunk of junk? Oh well, I guess Im just the sucker in this situation. I would not recommend this product or any other Whirlpool product (that includes Amana and Maytag) as they are clearly not willing to stand behind the quality of their products (or lack thereof).

Our new Amana furnace is so quiet and efficient! We love it. We aren't nervous to enter the long winter months. We know we will be warm and comfortable until spring.

Our Amana/Whirlpool electric dryer failed a month before the warranty expired. It was repaired under warranty. Two years later, the heating element failed. I can fix this myself. I just ordered the part that will cost $136. We are a family of three and we dry clothes outside on a clothesline in the summer, so we didnt wear out this appliance.

Performs satisfactorily. Outdoor unit is bit louder than expected. We built our house in 1990 in Central V. Passive solar with 6" framing and 24" of insulation in the attic, At 11 degrees F. the Auxiliary Heat never came on over the course of 4 hours.

Two Amana heat pumps here; one has had ongoing problems. When the dealer ordered a replacement part (circuit board), the wrong version was shipped from the warehouse. Trying to get this problem solved ASAP, I contacted Amana via their FB page and asked them to expedite the shipment of the new board. They told me that they dont provide CS for this product, that I should contact the actual manufacturer, Goodman. I was already aware the Goodman was the manufacturer, but have never before heard of a company selling a product under their logo that does not provide at least front-line customer support for it. What possible meaning can the Amana brand have in this case, and why on earth would I ever buy another product from them?

I had an Amana gas stove/oven, and replaced approximately 4 thermostats over 5 years. I decided to get rid of it and get a new stove oven. When I went to buy the new oven, I thought maybe my Amana oven was somehow a lemon. Knowing that Amana used to mean quality, I stupidly bought another Amana gas stove/oven, which is a better model, and now more digital, and have had it since last fall. I used it the other day, and the same thing happened as it did with the other one I had, when the temperature reaches 400. All of a sudden, it ignores the 400 and keeps rising. I only knew it was happening, because my food started to smell too hot, and when I looked at the oven thermometer I have inside, it said 600 degrees. I hate that I cannot trust Amana anymore, and would really like to return this product and buy anything other than Amana.

On November 23, 2011, my 2007 Amana French door, bottom freezer refrigerator model # AFI2538AES began making a loud popping noise, touch pad panel lights flashing, and cooling stopped. The popping noise was from the ice maker flap opening and closing. The HV board needs replaced, Whirlpool Manufacturer #12920710. I contacted Amana to order the part. The service rep said it is on backorder until February because they have been pulled from the shelf and are being revamped. When I asked if the part would be covered by Amana, since a part needing revamped was essentially defective, I was told no. Requested to speak with supervisor, who states she didnt know where I had heard that the part is being revamped but occasionally, they have difficulty finding manufacturers to produce parts and was certain this was the circumstance. I was told there were no other complaints like mine documented. Amazingly, however, the supervisor was able to locate the backordered part, which the service rep, the parts department and two independent repair shops were unable to find. I expressed my concern that the part found, only three in stock, may be leftover from the stock requiring revamping, rather from the previous manufacturer and not of the same quality of the part which may be produced and available in February. I suggested they reimburse for the part. They declined. I suggested they reimburse should the replacement part need replaced. They declined. I thought of more suggestions but didnt feel they were appropriate to express. Whirlpool/Maytag/Amana should recall the bottom freezer refrigerators with the HV board #12920710 due to defective or faulty part or incompatibility with these refrigerator models.

I am really upset that I have to keep resetting this machine. I have lived in my house for 16 years and the washer I had before lasted years with no problems. Then I buy a Amana washer and have had to reset it so many times. Its terrible, the warranty dont last. Its costing me more to get it fixed than it costed in the store. Now I see why it was so cheap to buy. I am so pissed. I would not refer anyone to this product. I will never buy Amana products again.

Our Amana side by side is now 10 years old without a single breakdown. Keeps food and drink at the proper temperature and has plenty of room and is well laid out. Shopping often we dont tend to stuff the frig. The stainless exterior requires a bit more cleaning to keep it looking great.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator model AFF2534FEW3, two years ago. All of a sudden, the refrigerator is not cooling but the freezer is working. To apparently repair the controller board, it will cost me $232.00. When I purchased this refrigerator, I expected it to last a lot longer than it has and from reading other complaints, I see that it is an ongoing problem with Amana. You would think that they might recall these faulty controller boards. I will definitely not buy another Amana again and will not recommend them to anyone!

This was a counter depth side by side refrigerator and had lots of room, water and ice in the door. Glass adjustable shelves with lots of built in special compartments too. During the 23 years I had it the only thing I had to do was change out the ice maker tray. Very well made. It is still working today in someone elses kitchen.

I’ve owned several “high end” dryers and was disappointed every time. This Amana dryer is super energy-efficient and quiet! For the price, it’s the best dryer I’ve ever owned!

My dryer of 7 years broke down so I purchased another from a different store different brand (new). The purchased was made the end of October. This dryer was terrible at drying my clothes. It took forever for one load to dry. Finally it started taking more time. Finally it went out. It had a warranty but couldnt get the company the warranty was with to fix it so the furniture store I made the purchase with sent me a new one and this new dryer isnt any good either. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRAND TO ANYONE AT ALL... PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. PURCHASE A DIFFERENT BRAND..

Bought a house with an Amana central a/c system. Was under warranty. When the system failed the technician called into Amana to have repair covered under the existing warranty. Amana refused to honor the warranty because the owner that purchased the system had sold the house to me. I paid over $1,000 to have the unit serviced with freon and have a leak detection done. With the repairs that need to be done, the technician wanted another $1600. I am on a $1600 a month disability income and have already put the $1000 to find what was wrong on my credit card because I dont have the funds. I told the technician I cannot afford to fix the unit. Note to Amana company. You may have saved your stockholders $1600, but the damage in bad faith complaints will be much more costly. Terrible business practice and non-existent customer service.

Purchased an Amana top loading washing machine in December 2018 from Home Depot. It worked well for about a year. Then after that the issues began. Stopped cleaning clothes completely, leaving them soaked and dirty. Began making horrible loud sounds constantly, it would get stuck on certain cycles and not complete others, it stopped agitating clothes all together. The control panel was completely out of whack by August 2020 and basically beyond repair (per more than one repairman). It stopped functioning altogether by December 2020, which is exactly 2 years after the original purchase date. So I was then forced to purchase yet another washing machine (not Amana). Amana washing machines are a total waste of money and they do not last!!! I regret purchasing one big time...I learned the hard way how poor quality they really are. Do not buy.

My washer is still under warranty and I called a service representative. It was supposed to be dispatched and serviced today. The call was never made and I had to make several phone calls to reschedule. In the meantime Im having to spend an enormous amount of money at the laundromat. Amana is not giving me a refund for this huge inconvenience.

Was purchasing my first washer & dryer and, quite frankly, looking for best value I could find. Bought Amana washer and dryer and while I dont do tons of laundry, they have both been great. Especially like that the washer has sensing to determine optimal water level. Only thing Im not crazy about, and this is nit-picking, there is no buzzer to indicate that a load is done.

Fan for use of oven is very loud. Fan for top of stove is also noisy. One element in oven needed to be replaced. Downdraft causes the kitchen to be cold in winter as it vents to outside. Door has drips between glass with no safe access for cleaning.

Amana Gas Range AGR5630BDS - We purchased this range from Home Depot and took delivery in Dec 2014. In October 2016 the oven began to shut down after about 30 minutes cooking time and an F2 code showed in the display. Weve had the service tech here 3 times. An oven temp sensor was replaced but the problem was not solved. We then replaced the top ECR module and still the problem exists. Now however when the oven shuts down there is a spewing of natural gas and we have to manually shut the oven off and throw open a window. We are stuck with a stove that wont work and is unsafe, and we are out of about $300 over the price of the stove. We cannot sell it and are hard pressed to afford a new stove. We called Amana and they had a so what attitude. I know that we will never buy any Amana/Whirlpool product again.

Amana dryer, less than 2 years old, doesnt heat anymore. About a $300 repair for a $600 product. Do you remember your parents replacing appliances as often as we have to? I dont. Garbage in and here is your garbage out Amana/Whirlpool. At first when I called, I was told they dont even make the model even after I repeated several times off their own sticker. Then all of a sudden, they do make it once I mentioned that Home Depot may be selling knockoffs of their products. All of a sudden, oh yes, here it is. What a joke. They keep telling me that they are all consumers too and understand my frustration. They arent willing to do anything about it though. We bought an Amana Refrigerator in May 2005. It is now 6 1/2 years old and began making noises recently It died last night and the repair will be about $800 or more. This fridge was working fine until recently. Over the past two years my parents and my wifes parents both bought this same model as they liked ours. Hopefully theirs wont die as well. We called a repairman who said that, that year (2005), there were problems with the compressors.From reading other complaints it seems that it is not limited to that year. From researching different refrigerators last night, it appears that the Amana, Maytag and Whirlpool are all exactly the same refrigerator with just a different nameplate on them. Whirlpool bought Maytag in 2006 and Maytag had already bought Amana prior to that. So much for Amish people in Iowa making a decent appliance. We are disappointed in Amana. We had my grandmothers refrigerator when I was in high school. It must have been 35 years old and ran fine.

The energy efficiency is excellent. I get a weekly report on my energy usage, and it has already dropped significantly with this new AC unit.

We bought a smooth top Amana range in October of 2015. Recently the glass top shattered...sounding like gun fire. One of the burners no longer functions. Is this a common problem? The replacement top will cost more than half of the cost of a new range.

I bought an Amana side by side refrigerator in March and it didnt work at all. Got it replaced in April and the compressor died by July so they put in a new compressor that never worked. Now they want to put in another compressor that will probably not work either. 3 weeks without a refrigerator and I cant afford to go out to eat all the time. The only thing worse than their products is their customer service whose policy seems to be too bad, well get it fixed sometime...maybe! Do not buy an Amana!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH AMANA AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM!!! I have owned Amana central air conditioning systems in a number of homes, and always thought they were of the highest quality. In fact, I installed a central system at our summer beach house, which operated reliably and without any problems whatsoever in a high salt-air, highly corrosive environment, and it served us well for more than a decade. As a result, when we were building our new house in 2009-10, I specified five Amana systems for our 7500 square foot home. WHAT A MISTAKE! This summer, we have learned that three of the five evaporator coils are leaking, and further learned that the HVAC subcontractor NEVER REGISTERED the warranty with Amana. Simple fix, right? Just call the Customer Service department and explain the problem. No... the Amana organization has totally ignored us, in what may be the poster child for horrible customer service.They have stonewalled us, and have not replied to phone calls and emails. Their local distributor has refused to give us the name of their local rep in an effort to find someone who cares about our problem. No help, no solution. I have to fix the problem and pay for what should have been warranted repairs out of my own pocket, because the cost of the service calls coupled of an electricity bill that has skyrocketed while trying to get help from Amana has me with no choice but to fix it myself. If you buy an Amana air conditioning system and need factory support, forget it. You are on your own, and they will not stand by their products!!!

I purchased a brand new washer and dryer set, just over a year the washer quit working. I called Amana and they covered it under warranty, 2 weeks later it quit again doing the exact same thing it was doing before, and now they wont cover it again because Im out of warranty time coverage. The touchpad membrane control has failed several times in the 10 years that I have owned an expensive Amana range. Amana replaced the part at the first failure but I had to pay thereafter. Each repair costs $100.00 for parts--relatively inexpensive because I do the repair myself. This failure should not happen. Amana is no longer the quality manufacturer that it once had been. I will not purchase any Amana appliances in the future.

I bought a matched set Amana Washer and Dryer in 2000. I have washed and dried three loads a week since I got the machines. They are still in use and working well. I have never had to call a repairman. Thats dependability and quality. Love It.

We purchased a NEW Amana Electric range model #AER6303MFS2 11 MONTHS AGO. Heat escaping from the stove seems to be excessive when cooking. Kitchen gets uncomfortable hot. Had Amana technician check (8/24/2020) and during the heat cycle (with stove set at 350 F) stove registered (with techs instruments) a low of 328F and a high of 382F....a 54 degree swing??? Tech indicated this was normal range. This seems excessive on both ends. Spoke to Home Depot and their appliance salespeople could not confirm or deny this 54 degree range as being normal! Contacted Amana thru survey channel and have not received any response. Looking at replacing stove with another brand that has better heat control.

I bought the set at Menards April 2016. The washer is absolutely awful. It never gets the clothes clean, never! It never has enough water in it no matter what setting I have it on no matter how big or small the load. You cant leave the lid open for a pre soak or it resets itself. Ive tried all the recommended steps Amana added to the instructions. Im so disappointed. I will never buy an Amana or Maytag product again. Yesterday I went to take clothes out of the dryer and I havent had an issue with the dryer until I pulled the door open and the handle on the dryer broke.I felt when I was making this purchase that Amana was a trusted brand. So I didnt listen to my feelings and I bought this product anyway. Money dont come easy for me so Im stuck using this monster that dont get whites, white and wont fill with water according to my load. All the complaints on this website are true. Bought my Amana top-loading washer in April 2014. Most of my laundry isnt deeply soiled, so didnt think much of it for a while. However, becoming more obvious now that my clothes are not getting clean enough. I garden and have a dog, so sometimes get socks soiled and dirt on clothes when dog jumps up. My whites are not white and the soiled areas dont come out. I had my previous Whirlpool washer over 20 years and didnt have this problem. Have checked the manual to be sure Im using right detergent and loading the washer correctly, but hasnt solved the problem. I liked the price, capacity, and no-frills model of the washer I bought, but not happy with the cleaning results. Dont want to have to buy another one, and always thought Amana was a reliable brand, but I personally could not recommend to others.

???? Amana Whirlpool Whirlpool Customer Care Center. The whole 4 MONTH experience to have our fridge replaced has been a joke. We have had 4 service technicians come out in order to decide we need the whole refrigerator replaced. Then it couldnt be shipped out for a whole month. Now it was supposed to be delivered today June 5th 2020 between 1:30-5:30pm. Only to be told that J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. Couldnt deliver it when they scheduled to because the driver ran out of hours, not blaming the driver. I blame the company for putting too many on the load so it couldnt be delivered on a 3 day ahead scheduled appointment.It absolutely should not take 4 freaking months to get a refrigerator much less during COVID-19 putting my family in more Danger to have to go to the store more for our needs for a family of 6. Not to mention both my husband and daugthers medications have to be kept cold. THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD WITH A WARRANTY ISSUE. The fridge has a bottom freezer, 25 cu. ft. of capacity and fits in the opening. We have owned it for 14 year. The one we had before was an Amana 21 cu. ft. which we owned for 18 years but we had to leave at our other house. Neither one has ever had any problems.

I purchased an Amana Washer and Dryer 4 months ago and just now moving into my house. I connected it it worked well on first wash. Now it wont spin, drain, had to unplug because it stopped in middle of wash. The sensor lights wont come on just to have a washer full of wet clothes. We tried to turn on now washer wont work. We wasted 800.00 on this set just to have to go somewhere else and purchase another set. This is ridiculous and upsetting. I am going public with our local news station for selling this mess. Amana Washer NTW4600YQ1 (2013 Model) - This washer only last 2 years after normal usage. Gear assembly broke down. I dont want to take a risk replacing the parts cause other parts might break. I will not buy Amana washer or their products. Not a reliable brand.

The organization I represent purchased 224 Amana/Goodman PTAC units in 2013, we have had nothing but issue after issue with this product since installation. Blown fuses, wiring issues, incorrect fuse holders, etc... Now there is a product recall on 160 of the units, we submitted the application and Amana sent us the parts to perform the upgrade ourselves. When I called the phone number provided for the recall they tell me to contact Amana in regard to the labor. When I contact Amana they tell me apply online. I would not recommend purchasing any product from this organization.

I will never buy an Amana product again. We purchased an Amana gas stove three years ago. I cleaned it one year after we got it and the glass in the door looked like something leaked inside. I called about it and they stated that the seal came loose and there was nothing they could do about it. We could replace it for some ridiculous price. Now, we are having trouble with the glass because it gets moisture in there and there is mold growing. Again, we have to pay to have it fixed.When you pay over $500.00 for an appliance, I expect to have some type of warranty. Needless to say, we need to get a new door, instead, we are getting a new stove and not an Amana. Another complaint I have is that the burners do not clean up nice like they say they do. I hate this stove! I would not have even given it 1 star but you had to. It would have no stars marked if it was up to me.

Great price-for-product ratio. Very simple to operate dryer. Simple, fast, SAFE, delivery and set up. Installation was no more than a few minutes and they wore masks. Two guys carried it in then only 1 of them stayed to install; he was out of here in 10 minutes. Both were polite/friendly and great advice was given for remaining space availability of future washer installation. They called me :30 mins out from delivery and were on time. I have been using this dishwasher for about 2 months. My last 2 were the more expensive stainless steel tub type...they were 4x the price and lasted less than 3 yrs each, so we decided to go with a less expensive dishwasher. I am happy with the decision so far. The soap works just fine in this one, but in my last one I had to alter the soap and add borax...this cleans with the regular stuff quite well.

We have owned an Amana Range AER5830VAX0 for two years. From cooking and appearance the appliance is just fine. The problem we have been dealing with is the Plastic flange at the ends of the oven range handle. The piece has cracked and chipped post warranty and it cost over $60 to replace. You need to replace the entire handle. That was this past spring. Here it is mid September and the new piece it has is now breaking apart once again.

My washer has given me multiple problems within the first year! It always gets stuck on rinse, which raises my water bill. I have four children and one week before school, my washer stopped working. The technician was supposed to come between one to five. I got home and one of my neighbor said the tech was here at 12:00. He didnt even come back. They were supposed to then come the next day - no show, no call! They have given me nothing but rudeness. Do not buy from this company.

I have wanted a 2-stage HP for years so when our 22yo 10SEER AC was nearing EOL, we jumped at the opportunity for a high-performance unit. My expectations have been exceeded: We love the dehumidification feature, the ECM air handler is able to reach the furthest corners of our house, I have to go outside to check if the condenser is running sometimes even though the unit is right outside our kitchen window, and the heat pump uses ~1kW less electricity while in the 2nd stage than our old unit. ComfortNet/Bridge took some learning but if you have patience and like to read then you'll be tuning your system in no time. Honestly, I ended up going back to many of the defaults because the whole setup is already quite efficient. We recently had a few <50F mornings so I have also been able to test the heat in action and am now looking forward to a cold winter to really stretch the system's legs!

We purchased the Amana refrigerator 8 years ago from Alabama Power Company and we have multiple problems over the years. For example, the ice maker sometimes dispenses the ice and sometimes it will not. Also, we have not the water valve intake gone bad and saturated our carpets. We had replaced it at the tune of approximately $300 and time off work having to wait on the repairman. Now, once again it has gone bad and we are again waiting on a repairman. I am very disgruntled with this since we did pay good money and continue with practically a new refrigerator which should last many years.

I have had a new top load HE washer now for just a few months and I regret I ever bought them. List of problems: (1) This will be the 3rd service call in just a few months. (2) NO SOFTENER DISPENSER, what rocket scientist would design a washer without a softener dispenser??? Its not like it would cost anymore to the company! You have to either stop the machine right when it’s filling up for a rinse cycle or...buy a softener ball which stains clothes and does an ineffective job at best! (3) My electric bill has not dropped one penny, do not tell me that these machines are more efficient, thats just politics, so that congress can say they are being more environmentally safe! HE (high efficiency) is not true!!!(4) The washer does a terrible job of cleaning clothes. It does NOT agitate properly, it just winds back and forth a little and makes a weird little noise. My old washer (Kenmore) was a superior product and I wish I had never got rid of it... If you own an Amana top load, just wash your clothes in deep water, so they at least wash better. (5) This is our 3rd service call as I said in the beginning in just a few months, the first 2 service calls were with the dryer and this one is for the washer. The motherboard is bad in the head of the unit. Buyer beware, these are not old time washers that you could open up any time or adjust water levels during the operation or just open up anytime you wanted to add clothes or more soap... No... These are very sensitive electronics that have issues when the washer process is disturbed in any way!!!(6) This is the way you have to treat these washer, pay attention... Open up lid, add soap, put clothes or whatever your washing on sticky soap. Add softener ball if you (unknowingly) bought a washer without a softening dispenser. That was us... Never buy from ad in paper, go see it, who knew washers are now made WITHOUT softener Dispensers!!! Then close lid and set settings from left to right and hit start program button. The reason I said program button (Start) is because these junk washers are now like cyborgs, part computer with junk electronic boards as electronics to control functions and operations of a washer which are just basic.After you do that, do NOT disturb in any way! Otherwise YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS AND REGRET YOU EVER BOUGHT THIS PIECE OF JUNK. Resetting only works so many times when it does have problems. I bought this from a local vendor through a sale paper ad. The vendor is not the problem, this is a Amana Corporate issue. Shame on you Amana, I will never buy a Amana product again... Trying to reinvent the wheel?

I bought my Amana Ntw4650yq0 washer new about 5 years ago and it wont spin. I do not recommend the 4600 series and I will never purchase another Amana product because you cant actually contact them.

I really like my new Amana electric range / oven. I bought it as part of an Amana packaged deal from Best Buy which included a refrigerator and dishwasher. Like the other appliances in the Amana package, the range not only looks great, but is also highly functional and efficient. As I wrote in my previous review of my new Amana refrigerator / freezer, I got a great deal at Best Buy and I am glad I made the purchase. Highly recommended! P.S. About 2 months before this purchase, I bought an Amana washing machine. My positive experience with my new Amana washing machine led to my purchase of the Amana kitchen appliance pacakge.

I purchased a brand new Amana 3.5 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer with Dual Action Agitator (model NTW4516FW2) in July 2018 from Home Depot. The product has completely stopped working after just over 2.5 years of normal usage in a small household of 2 people. According to the repair representative, the controller has stopped working and needs to be replaced at a cost of more than $500 which would be more than the price paid. The product lasted less than a quarter of the expected lifespan of 12 years. A call to the company that owns Amana (Whirlpool) provided no reprieve such as a discount on a replacement purchase or credit towards other Whirlpool products.

Amana Front Loading Washing machine Model NFW7200TW suddenly stopped filling. Received an error code of tE indicating an issue with the Thermistor. Began checking wiring and discovered several severed wires at the control panel. Contacted Amana Customer Service and was advised that they would send someone out but because the FL was no longer under warranty, I would be responsible for costs. I advised Amana rep that I was more concerned with a potential fire hazard and that was putting them on notice of the issue. The Rep basically said that they had no reports like this and that there were no recalls and nothing they would do. So anyone with this washing machine, beware!

Bought all new, Amana stainless steel appliances oven is 100 degrees less than what you set it on and the dishwasher will not even wash the dishwashing soap off the dishes. I have tried powered, liquid, tablet, it leaves all brands and types all over the dishes. I have had these appliances for 3 months now and I hate them. Dont waste your money! P.s dont even get me started on the cook top.

I have enjoyed the washer and dryer for the 8 years I have had them. The part that I am very unhappy with is the cost of the parts to fix the problems I have had; heating element that cheapest was one appliance store for $75 (rest online and other store was over $100), worked two times drying clothes then stopped working with going around. Told probably the belt, but again no belts around and had to be ordered, and also told from all appliance stores that old being $56 is higher than other dryers. The belt was not needed so not opened so will be seeing if I can have my money back for it. Told its either the door switch, that would be $25.99, or the board that would cost $200.80. Again, I enjoyed the way it was, but the cost to fix the problems is higher than buying a new one. Very unhappy to spend so much time and so much money along with being told having to order parts shows it is happening quite a lot from owners; annoying and unhappy.

It is near impossible to boil water on my newly purchased stove. I’ve had a medium sized pot of water on the burner for half an hour on high and it’s never reached a boil, WTF! Phoned customer service and received no help. What a waste of money this piece of ** is. Will never buy an Amana again.

I havent even had this Amana washer one year. It quit working. I guess when you buy a product that is lower priced than the rest you think itll be short lived, but 1 year! Doesnt start, nothing. Piece of crap. It never got the clothes as clean as other machines Ive had. Never again Amana! I bought it a Menards in Minnesota.

I wasnt familiar with the brand name but decided to take a gamble. I purchased the stove and fridge in May 2017 new. The stove is rusting along the bottom of the stove door and the pieces are falling apart. This started last year. The fridge shelf that holds the bottom bin has broken. There is only my husband and myself living here. No children to break it! Im am very upset and now I hate my appliances. I would not recommend Amana to anyone. They need to be replaced. The stove especially.

I purchased a rental house that had a 16-year-old refrigerator. My brother was upgrading his appliances to stainless steel, so he offered me his 8-year-old Amana refrigerator. I thought it would be a good idea to reduce the risk of having to replace an old unit. Im now on my third major repair in less than two years. Im very disappointed with the quality of the Amana appliance.

I purchased a Amana refrigerator stainless steel on December 14/2015. Two weeks after use stopped to work. I called to Flamingo repairs as recommended by the factory. They ask two weeks to come and see. When the technician came he said the compressor is death and we have to wait two more weeks to arrival of the new compressor. Ok fixed. But two more weeks later stopped again. I called again the Flamingo repair and they did the same procedure. After a lot of stress because many food lost they finally fixed. But two weeks later stopped again. So far Im waiting the technician to come again and fix it. Im very unhappy. I realize that I bought a garbage, waste of money. Each time that stop about Us 200,00 in a garbage. A lot of stress. Three months and just 4 weeks with refrigerator. Please do not buy Amana!

My microwave splatters really easy even when food is covered my a paper towel. It melts plastic easily. I have to pay closer attention when I use any plastic product. I like to microwave and leave while cooking. I cannot do this.

After just six years, the Amana refrigerator metal shelf supports have totally rusted. When I contacted Amana, they said that they would not cover it under warranty. It will cost over $160 to get new ones. This is not a quality product and Amana is certainly not a company that stands behind its products. Compared to the issues I see other people are having, I guess I am lucky. No more Amana refrigerators in my future. (The attached photo is upside but youll get the idea.)

Sometimes the fridge section freezes foods, sometimes it is not cool enough. Odors tend to stay in the fridge and linger indefinitely. Parts of the veggie drawers have broken off over time. I do love that it is a side by side, and will buy another like it. I wont buy an Amana again.
