BUYER BEWARE!!! When my boyfriend and I bought our house, we purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer set. Since we purchased them, the washer has leaked into the drawer randomly and the dryer has burned our clothes multiple times. They have replaced the back grate 3 times already and it keeps turning black and burning our clothes. Now it’s been fixed since yesterday and the grate is black again. Upon further research, I’ve found multiple people with the same complaint. Please do not buy anything from Electrolux. Their products suck. Their service sucks. Their accountability sucks. I want a new friggin dryer!!!

My refrigerator needed a gasket. I ordered it through Electrolux. It wasnt delivered properly in the box. The gasket was in worst condition as my existing gasket. The gasket was exposed and clearly had been in heat for hours. Electrolux would not replace the gasket after speaking to a supervisor. Whos to say that the product was not of quality when the distributor packaged it. The supervisor offered a 20% discount to purchase another gasket. Oh my... why would I do that? I have a dishwasher, countertop stove, microwave, double oven and of course the refrigerator... all Electrolux! They have truly lost a customer and I will share with others not to buy an Electrolux product!

Whoa -- either in 1970 or 1971, my parents purchased a Gibson freezer. Within in the last 2 years - yep last 2 yrs - we decided to replace the working Gibson. It was still working and never broke down once. But of course, it used way too much electricity and we didnt want to take a chance with a freezer full of food. Went to Lowes and purchased an Electrolux (tag inside of freezer) but says Frigidaire on the outside. Of course, yesterday it died and ruined a full freezer. It just floors me that a freezer thats almost 45 years would still be working and the new freezer that is ** 2 years old took a crap - OF COURSE -- ITS OUT OF WARRANTY!!! WILL NEVER AGAIN EVEN WASTE MY TIME LOOKING AT ELECTROLUX/FRIGIDAIRE.Updated on 07/07/2017: Within a couple of days I received an email back from Electrolux. - blah blah blah -. Yes, they said they were concerned and asked for more information regarding the repair. Explained, repair person was coming Sat. - he came - found what was wrong, said he would order the part and come back to install it. I emailed Electrolux again & explained it was a control of some kind. Never did they let me know NOT to pay the repair person ---- well let me know if you know of a company that will be willing to fix an appliance and then WAIT for payment. After the repair was completed, I emailed back and gave the additional information, & asked where I could mail the invoice since we paid for the repair. HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD SINCE. I do understand no company will pay for any food that was ruined or labor.

I wish I would have found this website before purchasing the refrigerator 4 years ago. I will never buy another Electrolux product again. The ice maker has never fully worked since we got the refrigerator. Contacted Electrolux when it was still under warranty. The service company came out. Said it was the control board and that they would replace it. Never heard from them again and got busy. Finally the ice maker stopped working altogether about a year ago. I think the biggest problem with these appliances is that they are not made in the USA. This refrigerator was made in Mexico -- you get what you pay for -- low wages, low quality. When are we going to learn? Cheap labor is never better. As with Electrolux they have lost and will lose a lot of business due to these problems. Did they really save a lot of money seeking out a lower labor cost country? I will make sure my next appliance is made in the USA.

I purchased an Electrolux Refrigerator Model EW288571150 in August 2010. Since my purchase, I have had 16 service calls. Out of the 16 service calls, I believe 5 parts have been replaced. I do understand Sears policy and procedures but this can become very frustrating. I did speak to someone at Electrolux on 08-08-2012 and she did explain that my problem was with the bottom rack of my ice maker. At this point, Im now waiting on that part to be replaced and I do hope that this is the answer. The appliance is beautiful, but do constantly have to experience my refrigerator going out and losing food because of the refrigerator defrosting.

I bought Electrolux dryer EFMG627UTT recently on Sep 18. Dryer is taking too long to dry and customer service is poor. They already change the motherboard board and temp sensor. The predictive dry is stupid feature and not working good. The empty dryer with no load is running 1 hr and they claim that it can sense the load and moisture and predict accurately the running time. Means it should stop cycle in few min when load and moisture is 0. But still it predicts 57 min and running for 57. Technicians Jose says it is normal and per tech specification and when I asked what is the tech spec, he said he dont know. None of them in customer care knows that spec. Worst customer support and worst machine. If anybody can guide to sue them I will be happy to do. Reason of review: Poor customer service. Monetary Loss: $1800.

Don’t invest in any Electrolux appliances! It’s way too expensive and not well made stainless steel material. In less than a year the plastic around the pullout drawer broke. When I called inquiring about it, they told me I have to replace the entire drawer that would cost me over $700. The front of the refrigerator is rusting. The inside door panel is rusting and leaving yellow stains. Terrible company to deal with.

I have a 4 year old double wall oven that I paid a little over $3000.00 for. Every time I use the self clean function, the oven door locks and then does not unlock at the end of the cleaning cycle. Their customer service rep told me to start the cleaning cycle and then immediately cancel it to see if that would get it unlocked. Nopes. They then told me to just call out the repairman on my dime.

We bought a new Electrolux refrigerator in July of 2014 and were told by our sales person that Electrolux was a higher grade brand. We believed him and opted to spend a little more to get what we thought would be a bit better quality. Were we wrong! One year and one week to the day, our wiring harness burned out, causing my entire house to smell of burn plastic. All of my food took on the taste and smell of burnt plastic and my refrigerator stopped cooling. When I called Electrolux, they basically told me we were out of luck since we were out of warranty, but they could offer me an extended warranty for $575 (what a deal). We have spent the last 2 days fighting with them over this piece of crap refrigerator that lasted us an entire year and we can either buy the extended warranty or be forced to buy an entirely new refrigerator. Needless to say, I will NEVER buy an Electrolux appliance as long as I live. I will go out of my way to tell people what a substandard product they manufacture and how they provide no concern for customer service or satisfaction. As a consumer I have to wonder why companies push extended warranties when they claim that their products are superior in quality. Shouldnt a refrigerator last longer than 1 year?

I purchased my new Electrolux slide in range with the three year warranty including thermal breakage of the glass top. I had the range for just over a month and was simmering vegetables when the glass made a pop & then a crackle sound. The glass had shattered into flakes and then cracked. Customer service asked me to send pictures which I did. They immediately blamed me and said that I must have dropped something on it. Three months later and after being runaround they now claim that my pot was dirty and stuck to the glass so is not covered by the warranty.

I called Electrolux (866-449-4200) for the repair of the oven I bought a year and a half ago. It took over a month for them to send over a repair company, and the repair company they sent over was Dependable Appliance Service, 718-966-6500. The service was not dependable at all. They scheduled an appointment with a no show. After researching the company, it scores an F on BBB. I called Electrolux Customer Service back, and I got the runaround. I even emailed the Head of Major Appliances, North America and Keith McLoughlin (President and CEO), and I got no responses. Now it has been over a month and my issue is not resolved, and tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I have no oven to make my Thanksgiving dinner.

We had our kitchen remodeled five years ago. Right off the bat the refrigerator started acting up. After several service calls we received a check for our purchase price. Thank goodness we got the extended warranty. Next the microwave door handle came off. They came out and replaced it. Unfortunately, it has happened again, our warranty is over so we will be purchasing a new microwave. Not an Electrolux. Our dishwasher door was malfunctioning. The service rep told the warranty people that it was non repairable. The piece that needed to be replaced was a small plastic piece that he said they couldn’t get to replace. He also said that we must have been responsible for it breaking so they would not replace the dishwasher. Another interesting note is that every technician that came here remarked at what horrible appliances Electrolux are. Wish I had known that.

DON’T EVER BUY ELECTROLUX APPLIANCES! September 2015 is when we purchased a new Electrolux dishwasher to replace our very old dishwasher probably over 30 years old. Never had a problem with the old dishwasher. It served its purpose but could not run anymore. We were excited to buy a new dishwasher hoping that it would sanitize and clean dishes better. Since we got the new Electrolux dishwasher in September 2015, it has broken down 6 times. Also does not clean well and I rinse everything before I place in dishwasher. It’s only 2.5 years old. Called Electrolux over 20 times getting it repaired and begging them to replace the dishwasher because we were sold a lemon. Every time they denied replacing it. There are a few inconsiderate rude Electrolux agents that I talked to and lied to me. I have been lied to many times by Electrolux agents and they keep their stories straight. I record everything; calls, notes, confirmation numbers. Horrible customer service!

I just got off the phone with Electrolux customer service. After just a year and a half, the front of my stainless steel refrigerator has streaks that will not come out. I have been using a highly recommended stainless steel cleaner and the streaks only appear on half of one door. I was told, Too bad, we do not have any way of examining the door to determine if it is defective. I am left to file a claim in small claims court if I want to try and get reimbursement. I would never recommend this brand to anyone buying an expensive appliance. Stay away from Electrolux.

I placed the complaint on your customer care number and your executive came to the house and visited the refrigerator. After that, he said there is gas related issue which can be solved easily, you just bear RS1100 for resolving out and I have paid RS500 cash in advance. He has given me a receipt also, but nothing can be done yet. The executive name was Umer from Kaisher Electronics, Laxmi Nagar. After that, I had raised once again the same issue to customer care but they did not respond to me properly so I request you to please look into this and resolve this matter at the earliest time. If the problem is not resolved within 48 hours, I will escalate the same and going forward to some legal step.

Your product broke in less than 1 year and your warranty and replacement policies are a joke. They are designed to rip the consumer off. Its nearly 1 month since it broke down and after 3 techs visits and 3 orders for possible broke new parts, Im still without a washer and Electrolux are sending yes, a 4th tech out with more parts. If this washer ever gets repaired, its probably going to die immediately after those repairs cause the previous repair guys have torn it apart. They even pulled wires out and somehow managed to get them back into the boards.I saw this with my own eyes and I would bet 1 million dollars that those techs damaged those other boards and wired. And of course who will have to pay for those techs mistakes. Yes, thatll be me the customer. Cause they are in the business of selling horrible products without honoring repairs or replacements as they promise. Electrolux and Frigidaire are 2 names that should not be in business. We built a new home and purchased all new appliances in 2009. We bought an Electrolux French Door Refrigerator and a 30 Double Convection Wall Oven. The first thing to go was the panel on the wall oven. Then the Ice Maker. Twice. Both under warranty fortunately. Then the French Door had to be replaced because the magnet at the bottom of the door kept sticking and we had to pull on the door so hard to get it to open that the door split open. Luckily we were good friend with our Appliance Sales folks and they got an Electrolux Sales Guy to give us a new door. Now the ovens dont work. Started with the lower oven not coming up to temperature. Lets not even talk about either of the temp oven probes which are so badly designed they cant tell the difference between the oven temp and the food temp, so they either turn off the oven to keep warm before your food is cooked, or they cook at the temp you tried to set for the food. Dont think 140 for beef is going to cook anything. Anyway, back to the lower oven. Oven panel says one temp, but gauge set in the oven says much lower. Then the upper oven started doing the same thing. Had a tech look at it, and he asked if I had just run the cleaning cycle. When I said yes, his response was Dont run a cleaning cycle before a Holiday! Meaning that the oven problems happen during a cleaning cycle. Anyway, both oven liners have buckled and are touching the heating elements, causing them to ground out. I need two oven liners, two heating elements, one relay panel, two guys and four hours of labor to repair by oven. Total $2,400 for an oven I paid $3,600 for 5 years ago. You would think you would get more than 5 years of an appliance. Then the French Door went again. This time its the major electrical panel, so now that another $500 service and part repair. Is it worth writing to Electrolux?

We purchased a new French door refrigerator with an external ice dispenser 4 years ago. The only problem is that the ice cubes have black circles on the bottom. Electrolux has been here every year since to fix/replace the tray in which the ice cubes are made, as apparently the metal from the tray attaches itself to the bottom of the ice cubes. I asked if they were possibly toxic and the reply was that this was not a known problem! They have offered me a 50% discount on a new refrigerator. Right. Like Im going to spend $2000 to get a working icemaker. What is most surprising is that they do not seem to care at all, and of course speaking to anyone who might be concerned is impossible. Never, never again.

I had purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer in July of 2015. I spent over $2200 on the pair. I noticed almost immediately that the washer wasnt completely spinning the clothes dry. I assumed it was because it was too full. I lightened the loads and the problem still continued. I often had to rewash the loads 4 and 5 times to get it to spin dry. I had family come in to stay with me a few months after I purchased it. They used the machine and told me to call the company and have someone come out. I did and when the service guy came out he had told me that the entire inside of the machine needed to be replaced because a bolt came loose and pushed the drum forward. He informed me that the was a lemon and that I should get a replacement machine. He also said this would take 2 weeks and 2 guys and a 5 hr job. 2 weeks without a washing machine was unheard of in my world. I immediately called Electrolux and spoke to a manager. They told me all they could do is fix it and pay for the repairs. They told me to talk to Sears where I bought it to see if they would do anything for me. Well Sears did nothing!!! Literally said its not our problem and they dont deal with Electrolux. Then why the Hell do you sell it??? Never shop there... Ever. Anyway the repairs guy came out 12 days later. Fixed it and 1 week later I called to report the same issue. He retired to tell me its just the way this machine is. Nothing else he could do. Again, 2 weeks later the machine stopped spinning all together. They returned and said the bolt was loose again. This time they glued it. 7 months old and the machine is being glued. Well I said, pretty bad for a new machine to be treated like a 10 year old one. I called Electrolux and told them this was the 3 call on the same problem and this should be treated as a lemon and the machine should be replaced. The woman agreed completely and said she would get on the problem. Well never heard from her again. My husband called, talked to the manager and he said now that its glued it should be fine. I would have to wait for it to break again before any action takes place. Ive been out of laundry for a total of a month and for some reason they think thats ok!! I dont!!! Never ever purchase from this ** company. Save your money please.

I purchased an expensive fridge from Electrolux. The ice maker never worked. The repair people came out countless times. Repair people told me the ice maker is unfixable. I paid for an extended warranty being told that I could get a replacement for my fridge if it broke down 3 times within the year. When the break downs continued, the repairman told me that they are not allowed to report the appliance irreparable & that they are obligated to continue to try to repair it even though that is not possible. Electrolux basically never has any intention of honoring a warranty with a new appliance. It is all a big scam to get you to pay more money & them not be on the hook for a bad product. Very disappointing from a supposed high end appliance company. The customer service there is a joke and will be so frustrating to deal with. You will want to throw your fridge out the window. They will lie to you point blank about multiple things. Too long of a list to name. FYI my fridge has been the subject of a class action because it has been proven this ice maker is bunk and does not work. But under the class action of course you get nothing -- like $100. Nothing compared to the aggravation or the cost of a new fridge.

One technician told us our drain pipe was too tall, so I cut the pipe to the height I was told it needed to be. The machine worked for two and a half loads and stopped draining. The last technician said because we have a septic tank, we had to put in a p-trap to keep back flow air from stopping the machine from draining. I installed the trap. It still will not drain. My wife called the technician again and was told this was not their problem. They told her that they could not keep coming out to our home. What can we do about this problem?

I phoned up customer service regarding our oven - for whatever reason its gone all black inside. We heat it up to get rid of fatty deposits but this is something Ive never seen before. Its still under guarantee. A man from service force came out and took pictures of the inside then sent it to Electrolux. After a phone call the lady came back to me to say its not faulty and get a professional clean. You cant do this with a self-clean oven and already looked at this option before ringing. The top oven also cuts out when turning on but according to Electrolux its not faulty. We cant use the oven as black deposits go over the food when turning up the heat. After telling them this they promised to ring me up in the afternoon as they were going to look at this again. Anyway no phone call - left in limbo over Easter no cooker nightmare. Electrolux Dual Fuel defective Oven F15 motherboard - To begin, the word motherboard defines the perfect depiction of the defective range (item/product) the Electrolux company manufactures. I recently purchased a home that included a 30 slip in Electrolux dual fuel range that the previous owners had originally paid over $2,900.00. Having seen the wonderful Kelly Ripa television commercials, I figured the product must be good if she endorses their products. Within 2 months of having lived here and using the stove, the F15 code has flash on the motherboard of the range which then also shuts down the use of the control board. Doing some investigation, I learned that the previous homeowner had already replaced the motherboard 2 times previously since owning the range. Now into the two months of new home ownership, I am glad that I had taken out a homeowners warranty to cover repairs in the new house. I just got back from Best Buy and hhgreggs to price out a replacement range and was shocked to see Electrolux continues to produce the same style range (which at hhgreggs price was over $3,000.00). Thank God I had my homeowners warranty to replace the motherboard until I find a new replacement range and dump this inferior product. Kelly Ripa... You sold customers down the river with a BAD product that is not backed by the company making it.

We bought our French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October 2009 as a result of upgrading and remodeling our kitchen. The installation did not occur until April/May 2010 and we had problems with a leaky ice maker, intermittent making of ice, noisy clicking doors, and notification of expired air filters after 3 months of use. We called one week after the 1 year of purchase anniversary date and they told us our warranty had expired. We called customer service in 2012 and 2014 to express our dissatisfaction with all the problems that continued. They had a log of all our calls and still did nothing to make the refrigerator function correctly. After spending $3,600.00 for a high end refrigerator and have a lemon at that, Electrolux took no ownership for their problems. In January of 2015, the ice maker stop functioning all together. The service tech advised us this past week, there have been over 9 updates of the model we bought and there have been numerous faulty issues from Electrolux. It seems that this is a common problem and there are many consumers with the same complaint with this appliance. Why cant we all pursue a Class Action Suit? There are some of us that remained quiet and didnt scream loud enough and now we have the consequence of a lousy functioning refrigerator. By the way, the display on the temperature started to disappear in 2014. The technician states I need to spend $1,000.00 to purchase 2 kits to bring my refrigerator up to par (and since DAY 1 it has never worked correctly). Also, there is no guarantee after 90 days something else will break. This was the worst purchase of an appliance we ever made. Today the customer service corporate manager failed to help us make this situation go away and failed to assist the consumer to feel right about a costly purchase that never worked. There needs to be a better way to alert the public about Electrolux quality. There are too many of us as unsatisfied consumers with the same flawed design refrigerator complaining about Electrolux not taking action on their substandard appliances and for NOT doing the right thing.

We bought our Zen vacuum cleaner in fall 2016, the main selling point being that it was claimed to be the most silent vacuum cleaner in the world. Well, it was silent for the first weeks. Then, there was this loud squeaky noise when vacuuming carpets. Turned out there was an air leak around the fitting of the tube in the handle due to cheap plastic that wears out in no time. Also turned out that the two year warranty did not cover the tube, which was only covered by 6 months. Within these 6 months we had the tube replaced three times, but to what use? The construction itself is wrong in combination with poor material, and it will wear out again no matter how many times you replace the part. This flaw also applies to the built-in nozzle holders that are too weak to hold the nozzle/tube in place. It keeps falling out making noise and waking up the children. Zen is anything but the most silent vacuum cleaner. One more thing while I am at it, the buttons! They are designed for the sake of design, but are absolute useless. Lets just say that the power button of Zen combines the versatility of traditional buttons, and the tactility of a touch screen. Press it and behold, nothing happens! In short, vacuum cleaners from Electrolux may look (and sound) good at a first glance, but the quality is a disgrace for Swedish engineering.

Our LG top of the line troublesome fridge of 5 years died leaking water on
Our LG top of the line troublesome fridge of 5 years died leaking water on our wood floor. LG does not stand for Lucky Goldstar or Lifes Good; in my dictionary it stands for Lousy Garbage! Enough about that. We were now in a lurch for a new fridge without having the time to thoroughly research our purchase. Instead of going to a chain store that sells appliances (have you ever attempted to contact a salesman at Sears? Its a joke!) we decided this time to go with an independent appliance store. Initially we may have paid a little more, but what we received in service was priceless! Since we were less than a week away from Thanksgiving the owner bent over backward to deliver within a couple of days and the installation was professional, clean and non-damaging to any of our belongings. We went with an Electrolux counter depth model with the freezer on the bottom. We were impressed with the features and based upon that my husband wanted the deluxe model which had a special drawer for ice cream so that it is not rock hard when you try to spoon it our of the container. After it arrived I looked at ratings for this model and they were horrific. I felt my heart sink to the bottom of my feet, especially after the amount of money we spent. I didnt tell my husband right away for obvious reasons and decided to let time pass to see what transpired.Three months have passed without a single issue. It is a pleasure to have in our kitchen. The produce doesnt freeze, we have loads of room inside because of the design and we have loads of ice, a problem with counter depth french door fridges and one common complaint about the Electrolux. The ice dispenser on the door is great-small cubes just the right size for a glass or crushed if desired. The cubes actually come out when the lever is depressed (non existent with the LG) and water doesnt drip after dispensing water. The ice maker in the freezer is ingenious! Now I dont have to listen to the ribbing from my daughters about the stingy ice maker. All in all, I think that we made a wise purchase, and well worth the money.

I bought an expensive Electrolux refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher in 2012. So far I have required repairs on the dishwasher (control panel went dead); stove (would not self clean) and the refrigerator has broken plastic that holds up the bins; very hard to remove drawers and put back in for cleaning. The bin handles you pull out are broken on at least 3 drawers. I bought these online thinking if I paid a very high price I would get quality - WRONG. I believe the cheap builders appliances would have been better than the Electrolux fix and repair too often.

We purchased an Electrolux french door fridge this summer. Our apartment was under construction so we were unable to connect it until this month. When we tried it did not work. We called Electrolux who informed us they would send a technician out right away. Because we do not have the receipt. They said they would honor a 9/15/2014 purchase date. The first technician never came so we called Electrolux again. They sent a second technician who also no-showed.When I spoke to the Electrolux representative for the fourth time I asked to speak to a supervisor. I asked the supervisor what my options are because Electrolux only contracts with 4 repair people in the entire New York City area and all 4 had 1-2 stars on all consumer review websites and 2 of them had already no-showed. I was hoping that we could hire a contractor we know is high-quality, can fix the brand, and is available and have that reimbursed, like going out of network for health insurance. The supervisor put me on hold for a long time--the entire call lasted 61 minutes. When she returned she told me they would no longer honor our purchase date and that because the fridge was manufactured in 4/2013 they would consider it purchased in 10/2013 and we were therefore out of warranty and there was nothing she could do to help us.We have been unable to locate the itemized receipt. Electrolux has offered to sell us a $600 3-year warranty. However, upon reading reviews of our purchase, everyone who has had this issue says it is chronic and never resolved. Dont make this mistake. The EI288S65KS6 does not work and Electrolux is a company that will not work with you.

Purchased Electrolux washer/dryer from Home Depot late 2017 (product received in Nov. 2017). Issues started soon after purchase with the dryer, it was clogging with lint in the blower motor. Not even sure how this was happening, since these are lint making machines. Service came out and had no options on how to prevent this from occurring. Again other than to contact servicing and have them clean it out. Basically they take the machine apart to do this, not a job for ordinary folk. After speaking with Electrolux, and informing them of this continuing issue. Their response is to continue calling for warranty/servicing. The big question was what if this issue persists beyond the one year manufacturing warranty, Electrolux response... “purchase extended warranty”. Are you kidding me!!! That’s when I contacted Home Depot head office. Their response to this issue was much of the same. I can’t believe either one of these entities could live up to their product (Electrolux) or service (Home Depot). This issue should resolved by a replacement or a full refund.Things to keep in mind, these service requests take up time during working hours cause warranty company doesn’t work after hours or weekends. So we have to take time off work each and every time a service is requested. Other option is to cut my losses and dump these machine and buy new ones. Even after a year of ownership. Extremely disappointed with both Electrolux and Home Depot Canada.

I hate them! We have had them for 2 years and we have had nothing but problems, and the repair man and I are on first name bases! Last week, he was here to replace the heating elements. Today, I washed 4 loads of laundry and just put the 5th load going and noticed the screen is blank but lit up. The machine is working so far, but its not done yet either! We saved and saved, and spent $1200 per unit for this! Never again! We had a front loader before and it was fine. We have a large family, 10 kids and 2 adults, so it gets used a lot and we were told this would be the perfect machine for our family. This turned out to be the biggest mistake we have ever made! I have been sure to tell my friends and family this also! We are friends with he people that sold us these machines and I shared my complaints with them as well. I will only buy Maytag and top loaders! On top of the current problem with the washer screen, it also leaks in the front and has now rusted the front of the machine because of this. A zipper took a very small nick in the rubber gasket. This by the way is the second gasket we have had on this machine and looks like number 3 at $125.00 per gasket will be on it again! I cant believe the price we paid for these in the beginning and now with repair bills. Im very unhappy!

Upon installation by Electrolux technicians the next day, the freezer had a thumping sound and ice formations inside the door. We called the technicians who came several times, made some installations on the door, but never resolved the problems. Lately, Electrolux does not answer our calls, and we are unable to have this problem corrected, or receive a new freezer. The freezer has an air leak which has not been corrected and Electrolux has offered no new solution or help.

We purchased the Electrolux washer and dryer in 2017 and immediately had a problem with it clanging and banging. We had two techs out and they couldnt find an issue. Now the pedestal drawer broke! I owned a Kenmore front loader for 15 years and never had one problem! Today I called about that part and explained that it still clangs. My husband says its a design flaw and even tho we empty the lint screen after every single use, it is escaping and going into the motor. Today they said they cant cover sending someone out again. Its beyond the time limit! Really!? Dont buy any of their products! The company doesnt build reliable products and then try to pawn it off on the consumer and blame us for waiting so long.. I said its not my fault twice they couldnt figure it out. Never ever ever ever will I buy anything electrolux! Terrible products and worse customer service! They dont even deserve one star. We have had an Electrolux dishwasher for two years. It worked great until last week and started leaking. I called Electrolux and they stated it was not under warranty, which I knew, and they could send out a repairman. There would be an $89.95 upfront charge which would go against the labor. It was a minor repair on the drain line that took about 10 minutes. However, I had to pay another $87.02 for labor and parts. The $89.95, according to the technician, was a trip charge only. That was not how it was represented by customer service. I called back and talked to a manager that said maybe the rep I had talked to had stated it incorrectly, duh, and that they would educate them to be more specific. It was an intentional misrepresentation in my opinion and they should have know better. I could have called a local company and gotten it done much cheaper.

I bought a new Electrolux refrigerator from a high end appliance store in 2013. Some reviews indicated problems with the ice maker, but I was assured they were fixed. It has never worked properly and now the freezer has stopped working. The ice maker is frozen shut and is leaking inside the refrigerator. Recently the temperature was fluctuating and ran high. I lost some food due to spoilage. Based on the other reviewers it would be a waste of time and money to call for service. I am highly disgusted and will never buy another Electrolux product. That includes Frigidaire as Electrolux owns that company.

Shortly after moving, we decided to upgrade to an Electrolux French Door refrigerator and their newest and best dishwasher. The retailer that I had purchased it from closed their doors a week later after 50+ years in business and left us with only the manufacturers warranty since they never paid the company for the extended protection. After several attempts to get the refrigerator repaired, within the original manufacturer warranty, from the time it was delivered in October of 2014 with the dishwasher, until December we had over 5 service calls, 30+ phone calls and emails, and over 2 hours of video documenting the problems they refused to replace it, insisting they have the right to exhaust all efforts to fix it, at my inconvenience and expense apparently. I even offered to pay any difference in model to try to expedite a return if that was a holdup. I gave them one more opportunity to pick it up, I had already purchased another refrigerator. I suggested that since they keep insisting it still could be repairable although no one can come up with any solutions, that they pick it up, fix it, and donate it to a shelter of their choosing. We dont do that is all I heard. I refused to go into another holiday with this incessant noise issue. I scrapped the fridge (yes actually) and replaced it with a Samsung that has required no service. Now the dishwasher, that has already had 2 service calls in just under 16 months is not functioning again and again I am without the appliance I paid over $800 for and am waiting on a repair and will see just how long parts will take this time. We did not opt to extend the warranty since it only continues to feed the beast that really could care less about its end users. If this becomes an issue, I know that I will be replacing it within the month. The moral of the story is, if you do not have the time to have non functioning appliances or the money to replace them when you have no alternative since the Electrolux Company really doesnt care if they lose customers, DO not buy this brand. I cannot stress enough how much I regret these purchases and the amount of energy expended. As I tried to get them to understand, these are appliances, I should not have to think about them or expend energy on them, they should just work until they dont and then they get replaced. If we are happy with the performance we are more likely to keep in the same brand. I repeat, Electrolux - they just do not care!

Our nightmare with our Electrolux appliances is similar to the others on this site. We purchased a fridge and had issues the first year. Husband bought the matching dishwasher before the first issue occurred with the fridge. After at least a dozen service calls between the two appliances and 2 different repair companies, Electrolux did replace the DW with the newer redesigned model. Well that was approx. 2 years ago and we are now on our 3rd issue with the new improved model. The first issue was in the first few months and a typical error code, parts replaced. We since went through a kitchen remodel last year and now the 3rd issue with this new improved DW - possible heating element out? DW doesnt seem hot and theres mold on spray arms, soap dispenser, and racks - smell is horrid. We were offered 50% off another DW after the last issue but I would never buy another Electrolux appliance. We did not buy the Electrolux matching cook top or double oven when we remodeled. The company we purchased from went out of business and the storeowner himself did the installation. When he carted our 20+ yr old Whirlpool DW away, he said it was a good model - just the baskets were old (we should have kept it)! The Electrolux manager who handled our replacement DW had verbally told me if this 2nd DW had ANY issue, they would refund the $ paid for our 1st DW. My mistake, I never got it in writing, so when the 2nd issue surfaced, I had no proof of the offer. The frustration, time spent sitting home waiting for the repair co., waiting for parts to be Fed Exd, nothing was worth the frustration and I could have written a book on my experience. I would never buy another Electrolux product.

Love my Electrolux microwave. It is super quiet. We always have to check to make sure we started it. Looks great with the rest of our Electrolux appliances. Only thing it's missing is a shortcut feature for bacon. Just found out if you touch a number, it will start automatically without pressing start. Really easy to operate. The vent is quiet as well, unless you have it on high. Which is still quiet compared to others. It was a bit difficult to install when we removed our old GE Profile microwave. I purchased a Electrolux washer and dryer in the fall of 2015 and it has broken 4-5 times. Each time it takes 2-3 weeks for repair. This August they replaced the drum, a plastic piece that goes around the drum and the bearings. Five months later the plastic piece has started leaking a lot. So I have been out of a washer for 2 weeks now... never have I had a washer break so much... I bought it because this was suppose to be the best. Boy were they wrong!Updated on 1/15/2018: I recently wrote a review on my Electrolux washer. It was leaking water and the service person came out and said a plastic piece that wraps around the drum had cracked and they had to replace the drum, bearings and the plastic piece all had just been replaced 5 months before. It took 2 months for them to replace them 5 months ago. For 2 months I was without a washer. They replaced the part Jan 4th. The drum and plastic piece were covered in rust which is why my clothes were getting rust on them. Well 8 days later the washer will not drain. This is the fifth time since I bought the washer 2 1/2 years ago that it has broke. The insurance company says the same Part has to break 5 times before they replace it. This is the 2 or 3rd time the pump has broke. For a high-end washer this washer has been nothing but broke.

I really have no complaints regarding my front load Electrolux washer but I do have a complaint about the extended warranty! The clip which locks the front load door of the washer broke in half. I called Electrolux on Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. They said they could not get a repair person until Friday, Sept. 11th. They gave me the name and phone number of the repair service who would be coming to repair the washer. I called them three days prior to the service call and told them what was wrong with the washer as I did not want to wait another week for them to tell me they had to order the part and to give them my cell phone number since I would be at work when they called to confirm. I got home late Thursday nite and there was a message confirming the service call for Friday. I called, left a message with my cell phone number and asked that they give me a time frame for the service call and again explained what was wrong with the washer. She said she would have to call me back and let me know if they could get the part. She called back and, of course, they did not have and could not get the part! I was very annoyed since I purposely called them to let them know the problem, as that was the only problem with the washer. I admit that I was irritated, and did raise my voice somewhat, and was told they would not come at all since I was already aggravated! I called Electrolux, they told me that there was nothing that I could do or they could do and that I will have to wait for another repairman (another week). And that if they did not want to order the part in advance that was their choice. That they could come look at the machine, decide what is wrong and I would have to wait if they do not have the part.

On October 24 again spoke to Frigidaire representative Quintavia and again sent the pictures, as she said that nothing is on my file. I was informed that the technician will have all the information from now. I spoke to technician and he told me that the new cooktop has been order and he is just waiting for its exchange, this was November 26, 2017. On December 5, technician has been still waiting for the part, on December 28 I called the Frigidaire with question when I can expect the repair to happened, and surprise I heard that nothing has been approved or ordered, and the Corporate supervisor told me that nothing can be done until January 3 2018. We bought a $3700 refrigerator for our new home, the ice makers kept breaking. I was told I would get a $500 rebate from Electrolux if I bought this model! After Electrolux told me it was being replaced I called a company to take it away. They said they kept it for themselves. I got the replacement and it was a used or way less value Refrigerator. I called. They said that is what I get! If you can believe it 2 more defective refrigerators and a quote a few service calls from Apollo appliance Brockton Ma. They are very good! The one I have now the ice maker is still broken. I was told the motor is too close to the ice maker, melts it in the back and it breaks. This is unacceptable for an expensive refrigerator. On March 16, 2016, I called Electrolux to request a warranty repair of my then 10-week old dishwasher. The phone rep asked numerous questions, including what, exactly, was wrong with my dishwasher. She then instructed me how to try to reset the dishwasher (which failed), and then she scheduled what I thought was a repair appointment, five days later on March 21. The rep asked me whether I preferred a repair time window of 8:00 a.m. to noon, or noon to 5:00. I said I preferred morning as I had an afternoon appointment. The rep then told me that Whitman Appliance Repair would contact me the day before to tell me my specific appointment time. The day before, sure enough, Whitman called only to tell me that would see me between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. I said that Electrolux scheduled me for 8:00 a.m. to noon. Whitman said they could come between 10:00 and 2:00, or they could reschedule for a later date. So at the last minute, I had to schedule an entire vacation day off work and reschedule my afternoon meeting. On March 21, Whitman arrived as scheduled. The repair technician walked into my house, looked at my dishwasher, and said, Whats wrong with it? I said, Didnt Electrolux tell you? The technician said, They dont tell us nothing. I explained the problem. He then said, You need a new blah blah blah (a part). Well have to order it, it will arrive in 3 to 10 business days. Then we will call you to schedule the repair. He then took a few pictures of my dishwasher, including a picture of the serial number. He was in my house for all of about 30 seconds. I said, You mean I wasted a whole days vacation so you could ask me the exact same question that I already answered for the Electrolux phone rep? He said, Well, I needed to get the serial number. I said, I needed to tell the phone rep the serial number before she would schedule the repair! He said, I also needed to take pictures of your dishwasher to document any pre-existing damage, so you cant sue us to fix something that wasnt our fault. Great! I blew an entire vacation day so that Electrolux and Whitman Appliance Repair could cover their butts. Finally, on March 29 -- 19 days after I called Electrolux, I got to schedule yet another vacation day and my dishwasher was finally repaired. The complete lack of even basic communication between Electrolux and Whitman and the long (half-day) appointment windows for repair convince me that Electrolux and Whitman Appliance have absolutely no regard for customer service. I will think long and hard before I ever buy another Electrolux appliance. NEW TOPIC: The dishwasher I replaced was a very low-end model. The Electrolux was, at $888 retail, what I thought was a mid-to-high range model. It has a stainless steel interior and a third rack, which I liked. However, I learned the expensive way that a more expensive dishwasher does NOT clean my dishes any better than a cheap one. The ONLY real difference between my old dishwasher and the new Electrolux, is that the Electrolux is quieter when running. However, the noise level of my old dishwasher never bothered me or my family. Our bedrooms and TV room are separate floors from the kitchen, so we rarely heard the old dishwasher. And even if we were sitting nearby, we could converse or play music or do whatever without ever being bothered by the dishwasher. If I ever have to buy another dishwasher, Ill choose a cheap one (and very lucky NOT an Electrolux).

I bought Electrolux dishwasher, range, and refrigerator in 2009 from Lowes
I bought Electrolux dishwasher, range, and refrigerator in 2009 from Lowes in Marble Falls, TX. The dishwasher was damaged when arrived, then not installed properly. After several attempts to get Lowes to replace it, and then several more phone calls with Electrolux, I finally had a new one installed. It always leaked, and I could get no one to take responsibility. It was the worst dishwasher I ever had, so I finally replaced it with a KitchenAid, which I love. The refrigerator is terrible! The filters need replacing all the time, the crisper freezes my lettuce, even on the warmest setting, so I can only use the right half of the drawer. The same is true for the cheese drawer. The ice and water dispenser do not shut off every time, which makes a huge mess on the floor. Came home last night from vacation, the CE alarm was going off, and everything in the refrigerator and freezer was ruined. Again, Electrolux will do NOTHING! I guess I will also throw the refrigerator out and replace it with a KitchenAid.

I purchased by Electrolux dryer in 2/09. My major complaint was on occasion it would burn certain clothing. The grate on the back of the dryer became black. I tried to clean it to no avail. I dealt with it since it was past my extended warranty and wasnt happening all the time. Recently my dryer stopped working and I said error code E66 on the panel. I called the service number it gave me and they referred me to a service tech in the area. He came the next day stated he could fix the fuse that burned out causing the error code but the real problem is the fact that the dryer gets too hot (I have noticed that) and that is what is burning the clothing. A total of $800 to fix this problem!! A quick google search shows that this is an issue with these dryers, and from the conversation with the service agent it seems they are aware of this. They offered me a 10% discount on the parts! How generous! I choose Electrolux because of their name but that isnt worth anything anymore. Never again!

Purchased a matching refrigerator and freezer units with a trim kit for our newly built home. Prior to installing these units, both were plugged in to ensure they worked properly. The freezer did work without issue, however the refrigerator (after three services) still doesnt hold a temperature under 70 degrees. We asked for a replacement from the company we purchased it from (Jetson of Stuart Florida) and was told that the manufacture would not authorize a replacement because the unit could not be classified as unrepairable. Called the manufacture, and was told that they had no record of any service on the refrigerator. After the manufacture called the service department at Jetsons, and discovered no service call history was forwarded to the manufacture, all that could be done was another service call had to be set up. (Runaround, runaround). Of course a technician will get the unit to work for a few hours and again it will fail, and this merry-go-round will continue. I am out $2,000 and no working refrigerator. Buyer be aware, every seller of appliances must follow the manufacture replacement policies. Once you take delivery you are stuck.

We purchased a new washer and dryer and was promised a $200 rebate from Electrolux. The products were purchase late October of 2017 and were delivered early Nov. 2017. We filed for the rebate online as it was supposed to be a “lot quicker”. Several days later, on November 21, we received an email stating that our request was received and that it would take approximately 7 business days to review the claim. The email lists a link to check on the status of the claim. However when you go to the website it is a non-secure website and we get a warning that it is not recommended to open the link. On Dec. 20th we received an email that said the prepaid Citibank MasterCard for $200 was mailed to us and we should receive it within 3 weeks. (Not sure what planet it was mailed from that takes 3 weeks). The email stated a number to call if we did not receive within the 3 weeks. As of today, 1/15/2018 we have not received the rebate card so my wife, called that number. She was told it was processed on the 11th. When questioned about that he said it was “requested by Electrolux on Jan. 11th. When questioned further he said we should receive it by the 25th of this month. However if we do not have it by then call back. It is rather obvious that the scam is to not mail the rebate unless the customer complains that they have not received it in the hope that the customer will forget about it. Also obvious is that we are not going to forget about it so hopefully it will actually be sent soon. Of course if and when we get the rebate it is prepaid credit card which I am sure they hope we will lose and not use. We will probably never purchase anything from this company again as they are not trustworthy and we are not comfortable with their sales tactics.

DO NOT BUY Electrolux EI32AR65JS (similar to EI32AR80QS and several other model numbers) OR THE COMPANION FREEZER. The cooling system failed on my unit within 6 months. I have been without a fridge for over a month. This is not just a slight risk, but almost a guarantee based on the amount of feedback on the internet. No coverage for lost food. No time limit on how long the repair can take. No extension of the warranty for the repaired unit. Will not even replaced the already hacked up unit unless it fails two more times. I wish they had categories for customer service and quality in this review form. They would both be 0 stars. I am seeking other customer of this product to form a class to take action against Electrolux.

I purchased brand new Electrolux appliances for my kitchen exactly two year
I purchased brand new Electrolux appliances for my kitchen exactly two years ago. Since that time I have had the double oven fixed once, the refrigerator fixed four times and then finally replaced, and most recently the microwave has gone out. It’s only been two years (almost to the day) and I have spent countless hours working with Electrolux and repair people on the phone and at home (missing work on several occasions). I now have to pay a trip charge to have the microwave looked at and will have to pay labor to fix it. In two years, these very expensive appliances should not have had such awful quality problems. We considered Frigidaire or GE (which, by the way, our friends went with and have had no problems at all), but went with Electrolux due to the perceived quality and excellent warranty - which in both cases are absolutely false. It’s been nothing but disappointment and frustration. Electrolux has not stood behind their appliances and they make it very difficult to get support. We have had the runaround on every occasion and a lack of accountability, or more importantly a lack of responsibility, to the consumer to ensure the appliances are repaired and taken care of in as painless of a process as possible. On one occasion the repair person went so far as to tell me that Electrolux quality is not what it used to be and how they are getting more and more calls regarding these appliances, so they too were a bit concerned that quality is no longer a priority at Electrolux. Lessons learned and the same mistake will not be made ever again. If Electrolux stepped up and took responsibility and accountability, it would go a long way; however, even the employees I have spoken to seem a bit disillusioned.

I bought a new home last July of 2017 and had a allowance for the range. I wanted a dual oven so they let me upgrade to one. I paid the builder the difference from the allowance I was already paying. The oven has not worked since I got it. Electrolux (Frigidaire) made me go through 7 visits from repair companies (2) and neither could resolve the issue. Electrolux does not make the same model to replace it so I asked for my money back. They will not pay me the full amount but only the addition to my allowance which is only HALF what I paid for it!!! I sent in the paperwork to prove I paid that much and they still refuse. I have lost wages and gas from all the repair visits. I cannot replace my oven for what they will give me. Terrible, terrible company and customer service!!! They said in writing that they would refund the full purchase price.

We redid our kitchen on 2012, installing a full suite of Electrolux products. The refrigerator was an odd size, so we spend a fair amount of money building cabinetry around it to make it fit. The refrigerator worked for about four and a half years and then needed the computer replaced. Since then, there have been three additional repairs needed, replacing the fan, heating coil and thermostat. The last repair was two months ago. We have spend approx. $1,200 on these repairs. The unit is now not working again. I called Electrolux to explain the situation and ask if they would be willing to assist us with the purchase of a new refrigerator, given the issues with this one. I really dont want a new one, but dont want to incur the cabinetry bills for another refrigerator as I dont know that I can find one of the same size. They said they were not willing to offer any assistance. Their products are expensive, dont last and they dont stand behind it. All good reasons to never buy any of their products.

We purchased this model (EI23BC35KS4) about 8 months ago and have had no issues with it. I think that unfortunately many of the other reviews here are referring to older models. This particular model has LED lighting, which I assume must have solved the issue of the incandescent bulbs 'blistering' the plastic because ours doesn't seem to have that problem. I also think the design of the upper ice machine has been improved because ours works just fine. However a few seconds after you dispense ice, there is a flap that must close to keep the ice maker cool, and if you open the door too soon the machine will beep until you close the door and the flap can shut. It is a very minor annoyance. Overall we are very happy with our purchase and would recommend this fridge, and would also recommend that people stop expressing their hatred of other models through reviews of this model!

It was absolutely horrible. I will never buy another Electrolux product and I will never recommend or suggest them to a client to buy their product. I purchased a French door Electrolux fridge at the hefty price of $3,700. The ice maker never worked and after numerous visits and parts ordering over the next 2 months, it was discovered that the inside was dented to the point that the electronic parts that had failed could not be replaced. The appliance company replaced it with a new Electrolux. Four months later, the ice maker stopped producing ice and water started leaking onto the floor from the water dispenser. Two months later, after 4 visits by the appliance company service department, a gasket left of the fridge seemed to be the culprit.I ordered that rubber gasket and 3 weeks later, it showed up. The appliance company came out to replace it but its the wrong gasket. That was 4 weeks ago. I just got a call from them and the correct replacement gasket will be delivered within 5 days. Now, we are going on more than 4 weeks to get that rubber gasket and who knows if its the right one. Thats almost 2 months total waiting for the correct gasket! Im stunned that Electrolux is still in business with this kind of incompetency and bad manufacturing practices.

I purchased the wave touch dishwasher ($1200.), the microwave ($600.), and the French door ice maker fridge ($2,999.) since 2009. The dishwasher was replace immediately for leaking. Now it makes a noise while running, where before you never heard it run. We have mold that builds up it, we have to take it apart, use brushes to clean the racks. I think that should be a liability for knowing my dishes are being washed with mold build-up. Disgusting. The ice maker has been replaced so many times I gave up counting. Sad part we heard the same thing, yes, we know that is a malfunction in the design of the ice maker. The ice clumps to the front of the bin, starts making a thumping noise & I have to empty so it will make new ice. Thank goodness we purchased the extended 4 yr warranty. The microwave ($600.) the latch that closes the door broke, so you cant use the thing & we had to tape it shut to keep the door from staying open. My daughter purchased their oven ($1200.) & the electronic board went out on it. Thank goodness they purchased the extended warranty. I would never tell my worst enemy to purchase any Electrolux appliance. I insisted on this product & have been unhappy since. We purchased them before retiring (knowing we would be on a limited income), hoping we would be good for at least 20 yrs, so much for that with these products. I bought the top of the line appliances by Electrolux for my kitchen. The really pretty one Kelly Rippa advertises. The designers did an excellent job. Love the design and functionality of the dishwasher, fridge and stove. Sadly, the designers were wonderful, but the engineers were terrible. Dishwasher - leaves chalky residue on everything and gets error codes 11 and 1 all the time and has had several repairs that took FOREVER. Stove - needed a new board after only a few weeks. Fridge - has error code EF for evaporator fan. Ice Maker - lets just say that if they had tried to make a more terrible ice maker that it would not be possible. It cannot keep up with a family of 4 without running out. You put it on cube and it crushes the ice. I hate it. These appliances are only 6 years old and I paid a fortune for them. Purchased brand new front load ElFLS60LTI Electrolux washer and dryer July 2015. Washer leaking from underneath and called service repair company. Back metal wheel with rubber belt had continually been cutting away into the back of the drum and carved out a hole where water leaked out. There was plenty of shredded strips of the rubber belt at bottom of the unit due to half of the belt eroding away as it was carved into the back of drum with the metal wheel. Not worth money to repair. I took photos and called Electrolux customer service and asked for a discount toward a new washer or even a used washer since this one was in use for only 2.5 years. The answer was NO. They suggested I shop around for deals. They did offer me 50% off any parts. Nothing toward labor. So I might as well buy a new washing machine. How about offering me 50% off a washer since this clearly was a defect. Anyway, I will never purchase an Electrolux product again.

This appliance was a replacement for the first one I had purchased that failed and I was lucky enough to have paid for an extended warranty. I was told that the freezer problem mine was experiencing was addressed in the newer model and was no longer an issue. Now, 5 years later, the same thing has happened again: leaking seals into the freezer from the fridge compartment, causing the ice to turn to blocks in the motor which continues to grind, extreme leaking and rust on the outside back of the fridge, and, as told to me by my repair person, the entire refrigerator will eventually fail due to the motor issue. In speaking to Electrolux, they do not stand behind this. My appliance is 5 years old (I would expect for this very expensive appliance to last at least 3 times as long) and I did not buy the expensive additional warranty, so they will do nothing for me except offer a 20% discount on yet another refrigerator of the same make. Why would I ever want this product from them again? I do not advise anyone to fall for their fancy chrome exterior (which of course does not wrap around to the back to provide rust proofing). I was told that they no longer sell this exact appliance because due to this major defect. This acknowledges that they did sell faulty products but choose not to be responsible to their unfortunate customers. In my experience they market as a high-end brand but the performance does not stand up to their reputation, and they do not stand behind what they are selling.

My son is building a house and he is steering clear of this company as well.

We purchased a washer and gas dryer in June 2017. The washer is ok but the dryer seemed to take longer and longer to dry. The lint screen turns out to be the problem as it does not seal and lets lint get by into the blower. The blower blades get packed full and the safety heat circuits shut the gas off. Appears Electrolux also figured that the lint screen filter was a faulty design and on the new model did a complete redesign!! I will not use the dryer since Electrolux has not designed or manufactured a parts correction and will not sell it to anyone else as it appears to be a fire hazard!

We bought a new home in 2015. By new, I mean just built. It came with the Electrolux ICON appliances. These appliances are not worth the money. They are poorly constructed and have been repaired several times. They even have safety defects. The Gas cooktop is poorly designed and a danger to all that own it. It needs to be recalled. The burners are placed too far forward and make it impossible to use the front burners. The flames from the burners extend too far out from the base and can easily catch your clothes on fire. The knobs on the gas cook top also turn on by mistake. They easily turn and leak gas if you lightly brush against them. Kids can easily turn them on. These are a real safety issue and need to be recalled. The ICON dishwasher has been a nightmare. It does not dry the dishes and the control panel is always going out. It just starts flickering and has to be replaced. The fridge is ok but the ice and water dispenser are poorly designed and always leave ice and water falling on the floor. They really need to recall the gas cook top. Parents beware!!!

We have the same problems that a number of other Electrolux buyers report.
We have the same problems that a number of other Electrolux buyers report. Our 2.5 year old appliances have had 10 service calls in this time frame. Problem is now that they are out of warranty, the service calls, and the cost of parts have become astronomical. The refrigerator filters cost $60 each. New shelf $40. Ice maker replacement part $200. Range control panel $535.51, range display board $211.79, plus service call $125+/-. None of these repairs are guaranteed, in fact the range needs these 2 parts for the second time. If you can find a service repair company that even wants to work on these lemons. Most of service companies refuse to work on these appliances. They do not want to accept responsibility for failed repairs. The service repairman basically told me that the repair will fail again. He implied that I should junk the 2.5 year old range ($2,800 new). Think Electrolux customer service will be any help? Think again. Their purpose in life, is to 1) Sell you more stuff like extended warranties. 2) Make sure that you talk to no one else at the company. 3) Listen to your problem, sympathize and give you nothing that will solve the problem. If you ask to be transferred to a supervisor, they transfer you to the next cubicle to someone like Therese (one of the rudest people you will ever encounter), Thomas, Stephanie, or Bridget. All of these people will tell you that they are important (BS like special assist to CEO) but they are dead ends. My advice stay away from Electrolux, Frigidaire, and if the sale is approved GE appliances. Electrolux is in the process of buying GE appliance. My advice, call the store that you bought the appliances from. That is how I got the microwave replaced. Dont be afraid to write these reviews. Use social media to help spread the word about these awful appliances and the horrible company is... Please, please, please, be a good friend and neighbor and help get the word out.

Purchase Electrolux French door refrigerator 3 years ago and have had nothing but problems on mostly all of the parts of the refrigerator. Have had computer panel replaced 2 times, the rubber sealing around the freezer door 3 times, the LED light 1 time, the compressor 1 time. These required multiple service calls using our extended warranty purchase approx $200+ per year. After 3 years of paying for the extended warranty I have decided to purchase a LG and hope for a better experience.Due to the multiple issues I thought they would have just replaced the refrigerator with a new one but was told they would have to have 3 repairs on the same part within a year in order to give me a new refrigerator. THE COMPRESSOR GOING OUT was my last straw. I will not purchase more coverage for 2019. DO NOT BUY. BOTTOM MOUNT REFRIDGE - ESA - Full Coverage. Term: 1 YEAR. Brand: ELECTROLUX. Model Number: EI23BC30KW. Serial Number: 4A42517637. Effective Date of Plan: 01/01/2019. Expiration Date of Plan: 12/31/2019.

Electrolux quite possibly has THE worst customer service I have ever dealt with. For whatever reason the original company we purchased this product(Front Load Washer Model #EIFLS60LT) from, and had provided service previously, no longer services our area. We are pushed into using another company for our warranty service for a washing machine less than 18 months old that suddenly the door will not open on it took over a week for an appointment. The repairman finally came out and got the door open. That was it... They did not check to see if it would cycle... Did not look for additional error codes, etc. Well, of course, as soon as we try a load it craps out with a totally different error code and naturally this is on a holiday weekend. The earliest we can get a repairman out to look is another 8 days out!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous! I plan on posting every negative review that I can and will never purchase an Electrolux product ever again.

I bought the $3000 Electrolux ICON Professional Series Gas range because it looks great and has all the features you could want. Its been a nightmare - weve had one malfunction after another in the four years weve owned the stove and Electrolux customer services is the worst of any consumer products company Ive dealt with. I will never buy another Electrolux appliance and suggest you dont either! After dozens of attempts to solicit help with the oven, their customer service people range from clueless to nasty, and couldnt care less about getting it right for the customer. They just read their script and evade accountability. Theres obviously something seriously wrong with an oven that breaks as many times as mine has. Five issues Ive had: The first year of ownership, the oven’s glass door shattered during the self-clean cycle. The next year, the convection bake control stopped working. After self-cleaning again, the oven door locked and wouldnt open, so the power relay board needed to be replaced. Sixth months later after another self-cleaning, again the door locked and wouldnt open. This time, the authorized repairman reset the thermostat. Now theres a “boom” sound whenever I turn on the broiler, and the repairman said we need to replace two igniters. Repair costs have been exorbitant, and Electrolux has been extremely difficult to deal with. Understandably appliances can malfunction, but when this many things go wrong and Electrolux refuses to take responsibility - the bigger problem is that the company doesnt stand behind their products!
