All Electrolux Appliances were purchased for my kitchen in a remodel. Micro
All Electrolux Appliances were purchased for my kitchen in a remodel. Microwave model E130MH55GSA: top vent was broken and needed a replacement before the warranty was up. Electrolux did send the part free, not once but twice. They did not seem surprised. They knew of others with the same issue. Okay, happy with that. However, this model oddly does not have a turn table and there is a huge amount of moisture that develops on the floor of the unit when cooking. This causes a big mess and can be slippery and dangerous when removing items from the unit. Dont really know what to make of it. It does cook well and I never really put water in the food because of all the water that seems to come from nowhere during cooking, a bit messy. I was told by Sears and Electrolux they dont need a turn-table. However, I see that all the newer models all now have turn-tables.Now to the Electrolux gas range model EW30GF65GSB. It has been satisfactory with the exception that one of the iron grills came in damaged. Since this was new and under warranty, I was able to get a new one sent out to me free. The oven is consistently under heated. It does not get as hot as the temperature shows. I either have to cook food longer or raise the temperature. I can live with this.I also have an Electrolux refrigerator model EW23CS65GS1 and it has been problematic. Right after the warranty was up, the indoor water dispenser would continue to allow water to flow. We could not get it to stop thus running water all over the floor. By chance I figured out after a major flood on my ceramic floor nearly to the wood area that opening the door would finally stop the water flow. Company came when it was working and this flood happened all over again. It took forever to find a repairman who would come to replace the part I ordered from Electrolux. You cant get these parts anywhere in any major city I know of. I am in Austin, TX. It was repaired after weeks of waiting and arranging for a repairman. Then my filters began to fail. Right after I replaced one, it failed within the first month. I discovered this by finding a pool of water at the front of the refrigerator. With further investigation I found wet walls inside and a full pool of water at the refrigerator floor. This was a puzzle and I did not know what had caused all the water. We continued to use the water dispenser not knowing that the leaking filter was causing the spray of water on the inside, down the walls and on the unit floor. The leaking out on the floor occurred when it had nowhere else to go. It was impossible for me to get the company to replace the nearly new filter that costs around $30 plus $7 or so every 6 months to get them sent. They should have sent it for free. You cant find these for purchase in any major city I know of. Therefore you must order ahead and always pay shipping. However, there is an air filter too that needs to be replaced every 6 months for an additional $30 plus shipping because it cant be purchased in the city either. I wish it had ended there, but no, the new one failed. I have spent hours with this company just getting my call through, getting routed to the right department, waiting on hold, and waiting for parts to arrive.Electrolux advised me that I should buy an extend warranty I believe would cost me $150 or so per appliance to cover these things. Can you imagine? I purchased these appliances because Sears recommended them as dependable appliances. Sadly, this has not been the case. I did not purchase the new warranties. Then Electrolux advised me further to purchase a replacement filter housing to prevent another leak. I called my repairman who advised me to try another filter. I was unable to use the dispenser and have ice in the freezer for weeks while trying to get all this resolved and on the phone countless times and hours to attempt to get faulty filters replaced free since they were failing. I was refused over and over by representatives and even managers who told me they would not sent a free replacement and the manager hung up on me on more than one occasion. I was finally successful with repeated calls to get a manager to send the replacement without further cost. There have been no further leaks so far and no housing replacement as advised, who knows what will go next. I have had the filter in for a couple of months now with four yet to go.I have saved the best or should I say the worst appliance for last, the Electrolux dishwasher model EWDW6505GS0. I have had to replace the motor pump that failed out of warranty. The unit shuts down and beeps until you attend to it. It gives a digital error code to tell Electrolux and repairmen. Somehow in the process of getting the part sent from Electrolux after the standard 7-10 business days, I got not one part but two. I kept the new on for reserve; they aren’t really on top of it in the parts department apparently since they send some things twice. Finding a dishwasher repairman for Electrolux that had a good rating was a challenge. The part was finally replaced without having a dishwasher for three weeks. Then I start getting a new error and I try to get a repairman out. I tell him about the replaced motor pump and he thinks changing it out with the one I have in reserve will get it working again. Why he did this I am not sure, because once he had it installed it gave the same error code. I told him I couldnt pay him for replacing a part that he didnt provide and he did not fix the problem. I gave him minimal payment and also got a scratched up ceramic floor out of this deal. Then I began to notice that the wood floor next to the dishwasher and cabinets to the next room was wet. Now I have to have extensive wood flooring replaced. The repairman had not gotten the water supply attached properly. Even though I was unable to use the dishwasher, water continued to leak out under the cabinet to the wood floor. This is not Electrolux’s fault directly, but if their appliance was working properly in the first place, I would not have had this unit worked on thus causing the water damage to my wood flooring. I called a plumber who discovered the leak from the attachment to the dishwasher to be inadequate. The water damage may also be caused by the faulty drain valve kit. This was ordered after much time spent with Electrolux on the phone after the dishwasher repairman put on the motor pump that did not fix the problem. Electrolux representatives told me the error code required a drain valve kit. I waited past the standard 7-10 days for the part to arrive. It never did, I spent all evening and the next morning with numerous representatives to try and get drain valve kit sent. My credit card charge had already gone through and was paid without any part. It was finally determined that the part was sent to another person entirely. First I was told I would have to wait until the other party sent the part back. I complained. After much hold time then transferring, I as told to call back the next day since all the managers were now gone for the day. Today after telling my story over and over again to several representatives, more holds, and transfers, I was told they could not ship it over-night for free because a dishwasher did not have priority. Are you kidding-- I had been waiting now for 15 days with no part and no dishwasher. I bought what I was led to believe to be a dependable dishwasher for quite a sum of money that isnt doing the dishes and is costing me more time, more money, and additional home repairs. It is a priority to me. The representative hung up on me. I called again and finally got someone who put me on hold for 30 minutes but agreed to send the part I have already paid for overnight at no additional charge. Of course the story still goes on since I still dont have the part and dont know if it will get the dishwasher running. Then there is the problem with my wood floor damage. I have that to deal with too. Thanks Electrolux for wasting a lot of my time and money. I will never purchase another product from you again. I think Electrolux needs to stop selling lemon appliances and do right by their customers. I paid $7,678.81 for problematic appliances that continue to cost me time and money.

My very expensive ($1,400) Electrolux dishwasher model EWDW6505 just cost another $311 to fix. This is after replacing the water pump approximately a year ago. It was just over four years old and used only 2-3 times a month. Forget about customer service where they will only tell you that you have to contact one of their service agents in your area. It cost me $75 (trip charge) for a serviceman to come over and make a phone call to Electrolux tech support for the error code which resulted in a needed repair kit. Two weeks later after the repair kit installed, I was charged $118 for the kit, $100 for a second trip charge and $18 for labor. It is not true you get what you pay for in this case. I will never buy another Electrolux appliance.

Purchased a matching refrigerator and freezer units with a trim kit for our newly built home. Prior to installing these units, both were plugged in to ensure they worked properly. The freezer did work without issue, however the refrigerator (after three services) still doesnt hold a temperature under 70 degrees. We asked for a replacement from the company we purchased it from (Jetson of Stuart Florida) and was told that the manufacture would not authorize a replacement because the unit could not be classified as unrepairable. Called the manufacture, and was told that they had no record of any service on the refrigerator. After the manufacture called the service department at Jetsons, and discovered no service call history was forwarded to the manufacture, all that could be done was another service call had to be set up. (Runaround, runaround). Of course a technician will get the unit to work for a few hours and again it will fail, and this merry-go-round will continue. I am out $2,000 and no working refrigerator. Buyer be aware, every seller of appliances must follow the manufacture replacement policies. Once you take delivery you are stuck.

Refrigerator Model # EI23CS55GSI Side by Side w/ indoor ice and water manufactured June 2008, installed in 2009, malfunctioning since 2012! Absolutely the WORSE appliance purchase ever. Electronic control panel went out once while in warranty, replaced, 14 months later breaks again, now it doesnt even work, all I get is a readout of C for the freezer and CE for refrigerator. Still makes ice, but no water dispensing, lights work rarely, no way to manually regulate temperatures, all the drawer slider mechanisms - which were made out of very cheap plastic parts have come undone, or just broke. Called an appliance repair company and cost of new control panel is nearly $1000.00 --- absolutely ridiculous!!! This thing has had issues since first installed. Microwave works but LED readout/clock/light do not work at all. All control panel buttons on dishwasher have faded and are coming loose, and this is all in a condo I use about 3 times per week only and I am just one person. So far, (knock on wood) the gas range has worked properly. Electrolux has horrible customer service, factory authorized techs hate these products and readily admit they would never purchase them for their families, nor recommend them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH ELECTROLUX/ELECTROLUX ICON PRODUCTS!!!

Bought Electrolux dishwasher Feb. 2013. So far, three visits from repair man. Even though I listed all of my complaints, repairman said there was nothing wrong with my dishwasher, and left without doing anything. Next visit decides control board is bad. Get new control board, works fine. Serviceman leaves and next day, dishwasher doesnt work, and noticed middle arm hits top basket. This is why top glasses never got clean. Repair man needs to return 4th time because pump does not work. But he needs to see for himself, thus will need to come back 5th time, before one year is up.

Update on 01/14/2019: Because we were provided with an additional year parts and labor by Electrolux, a service person came in today, January 14, and replaced the door seal. Within one hour the new door seal was leaking again. Being extremely frustrated with Electrolux and the continued issue with their washer I phoned their customer service, again, and asked to speak to a supervisor/manager. I was informed they have no program to allow for each to return their defective washer, I will have to talk to the dealer (Recker & Boerger). I informed the supervisor I did not accept her response and wanted to talk to her manager. I was informed the manager would contact me in 1-2 days. I’m furious about their defective product and the manager won’t talk to me... I have to wait. Great customer service. Out of sheer frustration I called Recker & Boerger, talk to a store manager who told me they “chose” not to take back products that have been in a home over 30 days... My advice... Stay away from any Electrolux products and Recker & Boerger in the Cincinnati area. Both have no concept of how to provide customer service. Amazing.Original: In July, 2017 my wife and I allowed a salesperson to talk us into a front loading Electrolux washer, we had always had top loaders. Also bought matching dryer and the risers for each. Nothing but trouble with both, numerous service calls on washer and dryer. The washer is loud, sometimes much awful noises, doesn’t fill immediately while making those noises, but the most recent “joy in owning an Electrolux” is the door is leaking. The door seal was replaced approximately 6-8 months ago and we just started noticing streams of water running down the front of the washer. And, because we have it on a riser, water runs into the drawer on the riser. I’ll be calling Electrolux on Monday, we’ll have another service call, might get repaired properly, and wait for the next surprise. If you live in the Cincinnati area, stay away from Recker & Boerger. Once they make a delivery...you’re on your own, talk to Electrolux. So much for customer satisfaction. Best advice I can give is stay away from Electrolux!

I purchased an Electrolux dishwasher from Lowes (never again). I paid 1200.00 dollars for the unit. After the first use, there was water left in the dishwasher that wouldnt drain. I called for service repair and a week later they came out to fix it and the same problem still occurred. I had to use my shop vac to remove the water. I called for the second service call and the tech advised me that I needed a new garbage disposal because food was backing up, causing the pump to burn out. I purchased a brand new disposal and had it installed. It still doesnt drain. I have been getting the run around from Electrolux and Lowes and neither company is providing me with good customer service. I requested a store credit so I could get an replacement and I was told I needed 3 service calls before it could be approved. I will never purchase another Electrolux appliance and I will never shop at Lowes again. If this matter isnt handled I will be contacting an attorney.

I spent around $2000 for what I thought was a top of the line Electrolux washer and dryer from Home Depot. After use for a couple of weeks the dryer started leaking water from the steam valve. I would dry my clothes only to find a pool of water in the dryer and wet clothes. I called Home Depot and they told me to call Electrolux. Electrolux sent a service person and they did nothing to fix the problem. The person blamed the installer stating it was an installation issue. I spent hours on the phone, holding, getting transferred and hung up on with Home Depot and the Install company. After another two weeks the installer came back to check the install. At this point the water was leaking from the dryer back to the floor pan and water was collecting in large amounts on the floor plan. The installer found no issues and showed me where the water was coming from the back of the dryer. Back to the phones again with Electrolux. Another week and the service company came back. They replaced the steam valve and said it was likely not closing. Afterwards I used the dryer again and the water was not leaking but the dryer made a rattling noise and it was getting hot to touch on outer sides of the machine. I called Electrolux and told them I was not comfortable using the dryer. This was supposed to be a brand new top of the line machine and was causing me nothing but issues, time off from work and countless hours on the phone. The Electrolux representative said I may be eligible for a replacement and that they would put in the request and I would hear back in 48 business hours. This was on a Tuesday and by Friday I still hadnt heard back. I called Electrolux again and spoke to two different representatives; the first one said there was no update and I had to just wait. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she transfer me to a customer survey and hung up on me. The second representative said the first person did not file the request correctly and that they would put in the request again and I would need to wait another 48 business hours. Again no response within 48 hours from Electrolux. I am exhausted in dealing with this company, their poor product and customer service. If I had the option I would just return it all and get another brand. What are my rights as a consumer?

We purchased a new home and bought the washer and dryer. When delivered, it was off balance and need a repair guy had to come in. Not a problem with the unit, just the service. When adjusted, the washer made very loud loud noise from rattles, belt rubbing, etc. We thought Electrolux was the top of the line, however, it’s just a terrible product. After one day, we asked the supplier to take them back. I wish it would have worked out. My only comment is BEWARE. We are now forced to find an alternative.

To all my family, friends and shipmates: Please forward this on to as many people as possible in order to get the widest amount of coverage as possible! My wife and I purchased a new Electrolux Refrigerator (Model Number EW23BC70IS) on 25 May 2009 at a cost of $3699.00 for our new home. In less than a year were so many problems with the refrigerator; ice maker not working and freezer drawer cracked (which were covered under warranty), that Electrolux finally replaced it with another one (Model Number EW23BC71IS) on 29 April 2011.On 9 August 2013 there was a service call to replace electronic board and ice maker. On 5 September 2016 another service call to install Rear Insulation Kit. Finally, on 16 May 2018, a service call to install Air Handler. Then less than month later, on 13 June 2018, a service call to Beach Appliance Service, LLC., regarding frozen water line, no ice or water, and large mold patch on wall next to the back of refrigerator in addition to water dripping from back of refrigerator. The bottom line is that even though Electrolux was contacted both by Beach Appliance Service, who provided a total of 18 pictures (including mold), and myself (at least 5 phone calls) regarding this issue, Electrolux’s bottom line was that the refrigerator was out of warranty and that they would be happy to give me 10% off a new refrigerator. Please tell everyone you know what a lousy product Electrolux makes and that no one should buy anything from them or go through what we did. Since I didnt any resolution from Electrolux, I am now taking them to small claims court.

My son was sleeping when 9:30 AM he awoke to find flames coming from the melted rubber at the top of the freezer door. The flames were igniting baseball cards, etc on top of the refrigerator and reached the ceiling too! He opened the freezer door and flames shot out of the freezer! He closed the freezer door and immediately called the Fire Dept. He then threw water on top of the refrigerator until the fire persons arrived. They came in under 5 minutes time. They told me if no one was home, the whole house would have went up in flames...The ceiling is ripped open to make sure the fire didnt spread to main floor, the walls, cabinets were burnt, cloths and the flooring has water and smoke damage... The whole house wreaks of the smell of smoke. And as the NYFD said we were lucky... BEWARE..... I decided to go online.. This is not the first case of a fire starting in a freezer and it wont be the last!!

Electrolux has been nothing but an aggregation. I carefully selected this wonderful looking piece of equipment only to have the fridge konk out. Service was nothing but a run around...3 service visits and replacement of the mother board still resulted in an epic failure of now both the fridge and freezer. Local service company completely useless. Cannot express order parts. Dont even have basic parts for something that apparently is a chronic issue! Its going on 3 months with no fridge. Electrolux totally unresponsive pointing finger at repair co stating they cannot replace unit unless the company deems it unrepairable. Service co is so bad they move at a snails pace. Third visit stated that had never been to the house for a call before. Too many crossed wires. RECOMMENDATION: BUY A KENMORE FROM SEARS!

Our washing machine broke after less than two years. We were required to use their service provider and have had NO resolution for 5 WEEKS! New parts ordered and many service appointments. We are very dissatisfied with our Electrolux Refrigerator as well as the customer service that Electrolux has provided to us. We first purchased Model # EI23BC55IS for the price of $3,199.95 on July 3, 2009 from Barrys Appliance in Bridgewater, NJ. Our salesman, Jason, talked us into buying this appliance by telling us that it was state of the art and would fit nicely into our newly remodeled kitchen since it was cabinet-depth. He told us how the icemaker in the door of French door type refrigerators worked well in this model. The appliance never worked as the book stated. It leaked water and delivered slushy melted ice. After several service calls, one of which was to replace the motherboard, Electrolux furnished us with a replacement refrigerator on 9/21/09. We had one service to this new appliance on another matter, but truthfully, it never produced ice the way the Use and Care Guide said it should. The guide states that it produces approximately nine pounds of ice every 24 hours, but we constantly ran out of ice with normal usage. We are a family of four so this never made sense to us. The bin never filled up within 24 hours with nobody using ice during that time. It also shoots ice away from glasses that are directly under and my family constantly complains about this as well.On July 7, 2012, we called Electrolux when the unit stopped producing ice altogether. We were, at first, told that since the appliance was no longer under warranty that Electrolux would not pay to service the appliance. We asked for a supervisor to review this decision since we were not satisfied and believe that this particular model is defective as the icemaker doesn’t work as the Use and Care Guide suggests it should. We were granted what we were told was a concession (Ref # **) and were informed that a service company would be contacting us.On July 12, we contacted Electrolux as nobody had contacted us to set up the service call. At this time, we spoke with Chiffon, who put the call on hold to set up a service call. A woman named Susan from Dan Mark Appliance set up a service for us. On July 14, Dan Mark technician Carlos came out. We were told by Carlos that a new icemaker was needed and that this would take 3 to 5 business days. After more than two weeks, Dan Mark finally sent another technician out on July 30. This Dan Mark technician told us that he was replacing the motherboard, not the icemaker, and that this should solve the problem. On August 1, we contacted Dan Mark to tell them that we had no ice. They promised to send another technician on August 6. On August 2, we received an automated call from Dan Mark that a technician would be out on August 3 between 8:00-11:00 AM, and although this was unexpected, one of us stayed home from work that morning in hopes that this matter would finally be taken care of and we would have ice for the rest of the summer. When the technician came out though, he told us that he needs to replace the icemaker motor and housing and upgrade the motherboard as well. We didn’t hear from anyone again until August 8 when Dan Mark called to set up a service call for August 11. On August 11, a Dan Mark technician came and replaced the icemaker motor but did not upgrade the motherboard as promised. He told us that there should be ice by evening. We placed yet another call to Dan Mark on 8/13 when the icemaker began dripping water and would only produce crushed ice. On August 15, with no confirmation call, one of us unexpectedly had to come home from work when a Dan Mark technician came to our home and telephoned that he was at our address. This technician told us that a new ice bin was needed and that he would order this and it would take a week.By August 15, with several lost hours at work so that we could be home for numerous service calls and no ice for much of the summer, we decided to contact Electrolux directly. We spoke with Tiana, giving her all the dates of service calls. She told us that she entered that information into the system. She could not offer us any other help at that time. We did not hear from Dan Mark again, and on August 27, we contacted Electrolux and spoke with Sade, who contacted Dan Mark and was told that they had ordered and received the ice bin and had tried to contact us several times and couldn’t, so they returned this part to Electrolux. We told Sade that we received no calls from Dan Mark during the time period of August 15-August 27 and requested that a different company service this appliance. Sade told us that new concession would be needed (**) and set up with Angela at Metro Factory to service this unit. Ironically, on August 28, Dan Mark contacted us to install the ice bin, but we told them that we had contacted Electrolux and were using another service company going forward. On August 29, Metro Factory technician Carl came out and was able to hook up the appliance to his computer (this was the first time a technician had done this) and told us the unit needed an upgraded motherboard. He noted that the limited ice in the bin was “melty” and stuck together. We told him that the unit was only producing crushed ice, and he mentioned that upgrading the board would take care of this problem. While he was there, he was asked if he serviced many of this particular Electrolux refrigerator model and he said, “Oh yes,” and always the icemaker. We were not surprised. On August 30, Metro Factory called to tell us that the technician could not come out until September 10, and we made an afternoon appointment for that date. When we didn’t receive a confirmation call the night before this service, as had been the practice of both Dan Mark and Metro Factory, we contacted Metro Factory on September 10 and were told that, indeed, they were not coming out since they had received no parts and that this was the manufacturer’s fault. We were even asked if we received any parts, which surprised us since we weren’t expecting parts to be delivered to us.On September 11, we contacted Electrolux once again and spoke with Charlene. Again, everything was explained from the beginning, and after being put on hold for 6 minutes, we were told that Metro Factory was not picking up and that she would call back once she contacted them. In the afternoon that day, Charlene called to tell us that Metro Factory did order parts and that we should expect to hear from them on September 14. She could not explain why the parts were taking so long or why Metro Factory asked us if we received them. We did not hear from Metro Factory on September 14. In fact, as of today, we have not heard from Metro Factory. We are writing this complaint in hopes that Electrolux will see that we are entitled to compensation and satisfaction that has been denied to us since purchasing the original refrigerator. We are requesting that our original purchase price of $3,199.95 be returned to us and that the appliance be picked up when we are able to replace it with another appliance of our choice. Be assured, it will not be an Electrolux appliance. We plan to never purchase an Electrolux product again. We have read other complaints and agree that there must be some engineering problem with these particular types of unit. Electrolux needs to recognize this defective model is hurting customer satisfaction for many families.

In 2011, my wife and I installed Electrolux appliances in our new home: Range model EW301S65JSA; Dishwasher model EIDW6105GS1A; Microwave model E124M0451BA; and Refrigerator model EI28BS56ISD. To say that we have been disappointed would be an understatement. Over the past 3 years we have resided in the house for approximately 20 months. During that time, every one of the appliances has failed. The refrigerator stopped making ice. An Electrolux-certified repairman replaced the control board twice, replaced a faulty solenoid once, and finally replaced the entire refrigerator with a new unit. The microwave display failed after approximately 9 months, so that we are unable to read a portion. Three days ago, the dishwasher stopped in the middle of a cycle: all lights on the pad on the top of the door remained unlit; no lights appeared on the panel behind the kick plate at the base of the unit; turning off power for 30 minutes and then turning back on produced no change. The range has occasionally beeped and flashed an F11 warning, which we have resolved by turning off power for several minutes then turning back on. Today, the F11 error and beeping appeared, and after shutting off power for 30 minutes the error continues. To summarize, every Electrolux unit we purchased has let us down. Currently, two are not functioning. We will have to pay the exorbitant cost of repair. Sadly, it seems we will have to replace the units sooner than expected, and with appliances that have a better track record than Electrolux.

We bought a counter depth french door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door. From the very beginning we have had trouble with the ice maker. They repaired it twice and it still did not work. The last time my husband called, they said they needed to order a part and we never heard from them again. We finally unhooked the water to the fridge. When Sears sent their extended warranty offer, I wrote them a letter and told them that I would not buy their warranty due to the fact that the refrigerator was not repaired by Electrolux, and Sears did not assist us in any form, so why would I purchase an extended warranty. Now, the seal on the freezer failed. We have never gotten any satisfaction from Electrolux or Sears concerning our refrigerator. So today when I went out to buy my new cooking range, I absolutely ruled out Electrolux. I will never do business or buy an electrolux product again.

Our Electrolux range now 4 years old has been plagued with problems. Wave control replaced twice, self-cleaning usage has twice fried the controls on back of range. We are being quoted $1200 in new parts plus labor to repair, money up front and no guarantee. Obviously we will be scrapping this piece of junk and buying another brand. Electrolux has now offered us 70% off another model but wont advise what model or price level. They really assume no responsibility for their products. We are also discussing the matter with a lawyer as both Electrolux and repair outlets are aware of the continuing problems but are taking responsibility for them. Our last technician also advised our range has a heat shield plate missing from it but that is my problem not theirs. I will also be contacting my home builder to advise them of our ongoing issues with Electrolux products.

This convection / microwave was delivered 1 month ago. It is replacing a Samsung Over-The-Range convection / microwave. The Samsung was ridiculously noisy, had a weak vent fan, poor lighting, and very dim display but overall it did work pretty good. After 4 years of service it got donated to Habitat For Humanity (thanks for the tax write off). NOW I have the Electrolux convection / microwave. It was difficult to install. The holes and brackets from my previous microwave aren't in the same location. I understand that these are different brands but I've hung different microwave brands in the same location before and the mounts where pretty universal - not this time. The LED display on this device is just as dim as the one on my previous device. I guess NOBODY can create a display that's easily visible from more than 7 feet away. Now here's where the Electrolux sets itself apart,,, it looks great, the lights are bright, and the vent fan actually works really well. The interior is all stainless steel with this cool diamond pattern. It looks really nice. When using the convection oven,,, the temperatures are accurate and it bakes to perfection. It is noisy too but nowhere near as screechy and obnoxious as the Samsung. It's just the nature of convection / microwaves to be a little loud. If anyone finds a quite one please let me know. As for the buttons,,, there ARE NO buttons. It's a flat touch panel just like your smart phone. Pushing hard on a number doesn't make it work. You have to gently apply a full fingerprint over the button to get it to work and you cannot be in a hurry. It takes a little getting used to but it's really not that big a deal. This is an expensive device but it was worth it.

We purchased an Electrolux refrigerator in 2008. Thirteen months later, the ice maker broke and could not be repaired. We were told that the warranty was over and that they would pay 1/2 toward a new refrigerator. Since we werent about to shell out $1,500.00, we complained to the Electrolux rep and he ended up getting us a new refrigerator. However, we have had seven service calls on that appliance in two years! First of all, the doors werent aligned, then there was a leak in the back of the unit because it was never sealed at the factory. A new ice maker was installed, then all ice compartment gaskets and housing were replaced, the freezer gasket was replaced, etc. Because of all of the problems, the company did give us a one year extended warranty.

Now a couple years later the same problem is starting again with failing bearings and also the LCD screen quit working shortly after it was fixed under warranty.

Our front load Electrolux washer that is 7 years old gave us an error code of E53. Called Electrolux and was told it was the motor control. Ordered the part and still didnt work. Talked to Electrolux again and was told we needed the main control board too. Ordered that part as well. Got it and now the washer locked the washer door and still doesnt do anything but power up and power down. Called Electrolux to see if they would either refund the parts back to us if we sent them back OR send new parts as it seems one may be faulty. They told me they couldnt refund parts nor send new replacement ones as we were not a certified installer. We were never informed that when we ordered the parts. They wont stand behind their parts or issue a refund. All they want to do is send a technician. There are only 2 parts for the electronics that can be replaced. It isnt rocket science and not a hard thing to install. I rebuild computers. It is crazy they wont stand behind their product or send replacement parts or refund. Now we are out $350 and have to break the door to get the clothes out of the washer since the door wont unlock and STILL go buy another washer. BAD SERVICE. BAD PARTS. BAD COMPANY.

Fourteen months into a $2,000 Electrolux induction stovetop purchase, the thing died. To add salt to the wound, were 3 weeks into the thing dying and no fix in sight. Upon calling their service department, I was responsible with making service arrangements through their local service provider. I gave Electrolux the error code so they knew the faulty part, but still waited 1 week for them to tell me what I already told them. Now, it’s 1 week to order the part and 1 week to reschedule for the local service provider to install the part. The Electrolux stovetop is crap and their customer service is worse than the product. We have a whole kitchen set of Electrolux Icon appliances. Purchased in 2014. The first to go was the induction cooktop in 2017. We purchased a new one to match the rest of the appliances but the top is very dark and hard to read the display. In August of 2019 the dishwasher leaked and ruined our kitchen island and hardwood flooring. Total bill luckily covered by insurance was $30,000. The dishwasher itself was very poor quality. We had to rinse and scrub our dishes before running through the cycle. We changed brands and new dishwasher much better. Hi Now the refrigerator has rust on the inside on back panel. We’ll need to replace that. Two of the plastic drawers are broken. This will cost approximately $800 after shipping etc because we have to purchase the whole drawer and railing system etc. Outrageous!! These items have been treated very gently, only two people in the household. Very disappointed in the quality of these items.

About 3.5 years ago we totally remodeled our kitchen. We purchased a double oven, warmer, stove top, and two dishwashers. One dishwasher needed a pump replaced after six months. After the warranty expired both dishwashers started to develop problems. They would not totally drain. I had both serviced at different times and the same problem continues. The service mechanic called customer service to see if there was a recall and was told no and that they werent aware of a major problem. When running they are very silent but are not worth the problems or repair costs. I would not repurchase an Electrolux product again. Strongly considering returning dishwashers to front of store where purchased, calling the news media to watch me take a hammer to the items to show my dissatisfaction, costly but very gratifying.

Electrolux owns Frigidaire. We purchased a washer in March of 2015. 8 months later it was replaced with same model. Again 8 months later the washer needs replaced except this time I was informed that the model we had is no longer being manufactured. I asked for a refund or credit to choose something of our choice. Their response to me was that I either accept what they have to offer or case closed. What they had to offer was a machine nowhere close to an equivalent of the one we purchased. It was delivered in August of 2016 and replaced on November 7. We are now on our 4th washing machine in 18 months. We had a repairman out here on November 14 and November 30 for the same problems the previous machine was having. We now have had this piece of ??? for a month and all they want to do is send another repairman out. Instead of talking to the repairman directly they are wanting me to fill them in on the repairmans diagnosis. I insisted that they talk to them directly and wont do it. What is the point of having a repairman if they are not going to follow up with them. All I want is a refund of our money so we can go on and not have to deal with them anymore. This machine is Frigidaires top loader. It has a terrible vibrating sound. Also, the machine shuts off during a cycle and all the panel lights will flash. Another issue is the length of time it takes to wash – 60-90 minutes.

I purchased a Frigidaire Fridge through Sears in August of 2015. I chose Sears because we have one locally and I heard they had excellent customer service. Within a few months of purchasing the fridge the door handles were loose and the water/ice system was not working. I called Sears but was directed to Transglobal. A technician was called and the problem was fixed. A few months later... another issue. At this point I asked if I could have fridge replaced as I felt it was a lemon. Transglobal said I needed 3 documented repairs within my warranty period. Lo and behold last week (20 months into owning the fridge) the compressor stopped working. My family is stranded with no fridge. I had to pay for a service call directed by Transglobal for the technician to tell me the compressor part alone costs 700$ plus 2 hours of labour. Transglobal contacted Electrolux to see if they would replace the cost of the part at the very least and possibly the whole unit as it has been a lemon. Electrolux denied me any support with repair or replacement. I called into Electrolux and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told that I had to call back at 5:30 pm. Basically, he told me I could call back and send an email but he couldnt do anything for me. I said goodbye, and called back. This time I got a new person who was surprisingly helpful. He asked my name and said that Transglobal had not sent in the service reports for my fridge. He then requested the service reports and said he would get back to me. I am still waiting and Im hopeful this can be resolved. There are so many issues here... Firstly, the product, secondly the sideways way of getting support, thirdly the various skill levels in customer support. I have spoken to 8 people at both Electrolux and Transglobal and 3 have been helpful. Thats less than 40% success in dealing with customers.

I was replacing all of my appliances so one by one I went to store and said I want the best and they always told me Electrolux! The sweeper handle broke the first week I had it! They did send me a new one, but the suction for the hose is the worst I ever had! I had to get my Kirby back out! The gas stove a digital light burned out on clock after about a year! The dishwasher is broke and has been for a year or so, it only lasted about a year also and it never did do a good job!The microwave makes a terrible noise if you try to use the oven part! It scares me so bad I wont use it and I only tried it once! I must say though, I do like all of the different setting it has! The microwave and stove have a confection oven in them! I own rental properties and have bought a lot of appliances and I must say, I had a lot better luck out of a lot cheaper ones! So I will never buy Electrolux again! I was very disappointed! Im glad I didnt buy a refrigerator!!

I will NEVER in life buy another product from this company!!!! I have 4 major appliances and all but ONE have been serviced! They are all 2 1/2 yrs old and Im being told that the only thing I can be offered is half off parts if theyre ordered from Electrolux. The customer service is HORRIBLE. Ive spoke to reps from phone number (706) 860-4110. Rep Alegra I spoke with her for 40 minutes. Was offered free parts but Id have to cover the labor. She adv. that her supervisor was upstairs and she would email me the information for the free parts and I NEVER received the email. I called back today and spoke with Shaquayla **, complaint manager, who adv there wasnt any notes about my previous call with Alegra and all she could offer is half off parts! The lining of my fridge is coming off and my dishwasher wont drain. I was told the knob that has been replaced once before has gone bad again!!! I then spoke with Shaquaylas supervisor, Theresa **, who needs to be fired! She was VERY cold and VERY matter of fact and kept repeating the offer without ever showing empathy or even genuine concern. I encourage others to NEVER buy from this company! Im currently writing a letter to a corporate PO BOX while posting in any social media site of Electrolux and filing a complaint with the BBB and posting YouTube video of the poor quality of the appliances entitled, The poor quality of Electrolux products. I am a new homeowner and I THOUGHT I was buying a great product. Electrolux has ruined my experience and wasted my time and money! I was even advised by Shaquayla that the repairs would have to be done and paid for by me before I could even buy an extended warranty. Again I want to advise these appliances are 2 1/2 years old!!!! I am extremely disappointed!!!

The product is the french door refrigerator. The ice maker does not work after doing the quick fix reported on the net. I shut down the ice maker and turn it back on for a good year. There are so many reports on this. In addition to it not working, the ice maker leaks and makes a puddle by the water dispenser. Everyone complains about the ice maker. This being the case, it is probably a bad engineering design. You would think the company would be ethical and back the product and do a recall and fix the problem but no recalls! There should be. I would like to see a class action suit against Electrolux to force them to do a recall and pay to fix the problem. I would love to talk to anyone willing to do this.

We have had nothing but problems with our Electrolux appliances. This is not just one model, but many different appliances. When we moved into our new house we unfortunately purchased all Electrolux including fridge, stove, dishwasher, popup vent, and over/microwave combo. This was all about three years ago. Since purchasing new appliances, the fridge has needed repair twice, the vent hood fan went out and we replaced it with a different brand (Wolf), the stove and oven have had issues and just recently our dishwasher cooked itself. It made several popping sounds and we smelt electronics burning in the kitchen, then the dishwasher shut down and wont come on again. Its now being replaced with a Bosch dishwasher.Do yourself a favor and AVOID Electrolux and their brands. They make junk. Also be careful as some brands like Kenmore use Electrolux to manufacture their goods. Do your research and stay away. I hope my review will help someone save time and money. We spent about 12K on all these new appliances and after 3 years, we are already in the process of replacing them. Getting the fridge repaired was a major hassle with their repair department. Its going to be easier for us to just purchase new appliances and start clearing our house of Electrolux. Never again Electrolux!!! You have been banned for life from my house and Ive already told hundreds of friends to stay away from your brand.

I remodeled my kitchen and purchased both an Electrolux double oven and refrigerator in Sept 2014. We started using the oven in Dec of 2014 due to remodeling timeline. After the first oven cleaning, we had to have it repaired as one of the ovens stopped working. A common problem according to the repairman. They actually had a kit to fix it. Needed to put some kind of washer on the thermostat so it would not happen again. My oven even today runs hotter than set. We need to place a cookie sheet on the lower rack to prevent burning. Now just slightly over the 12 month warranty the welding on one of the glide oven racks did not hold and has now separated. I was very disappointed with customer service and Electrolux that they do not stand behind the oven rack and will not replace. According to the supervisor at Electrolux, an oven rack is not a functioning part and therefore is not replaceable.

I have had an ongoing issue with the ice maker nearly since I purchased the product 4 years ago. I have paid for numerous Electrolux referred service companies to come out and try to resolve the issues. They have replaced the ice making unit. They have placed massive amounts of silicon around the unit. The lines keep freezing and now, the back of the refrigerator creates blocks of ice causing massive amounts of rust. From past posts, it appears I am not alone in this situation. Electrolux has completely blown me off telling me to call their service providers. The service providers quoted me $175 service call and additional for parts and labor. Electrolux is not taking responsibility for selling me a lemon of a refrigerator. This is past the point of any repair. I have proof of this refrigerator is a lemon since the beginning but after spending thousands on the refrigerator and in repairs. This should be deemed a lemon.

I bought the washer in January. Then one day in June, the washer stopped spinning. After researching online that evening, I checked the code which said defective door lock sensor. The repair man came three days later and confirmed that it was a defective door sensor. Problem is he didnt have the part. Twenty days later, the part arrives and the repair man replaces it and proclaims the belt also was off, that some factory lock nut had come off. He said in his twenty years doing this hed never seen such a thing. He put Lock Tight on the nut and tightened it. It lasted less than one load the next day. The repair man returned and said he had to replace the drum, motor mount, pulley, pulley mount, drive shaft, bearings, belt and that it would require another visit (full day) because he had to order the parts. I asked how long and he couldnt guess. Now Ive been without a washer for close to 30 days and it will be longer. It costs me $5 per load at the Laundromat - thats approx. $150 since it broke. Ive had to stay home from work waiting on the repair man a total of three times and now will be a fourth. I dont go to work. I dont get paid. I called Electrolux Customer Service (thats a joke) today and asked why they just dont replace it. Their new product warranty is a repair warranty only - way to stand behind your product. My modest calculations are this washer cost me a total of $1,700 so far; I bought it for $650. If I were a consumer in need of an appliance, I would not buy Electrolux. If I had done my homework, I wouldnt have bought this product for $250. At least my life is consistent. We bought this beautiful refrigerator last year. My husband was taken with the lighting and didnt mind that it was a bit pricey ($3,500). The problem is... it doesnt make enough ice. The ice maker itself is in the top refrigerator area, its a little 7 x 7 box so if I fill a glass with ice, it empties it and it takes 90 minutes to put out another tray. I empty it into zip lock bags during the day as a back up because my husband goes insane every night when he tries to get ice and its empty. We had the ice maker replaced, and the filters changed. Its just too small to keep up. It would be great if you purchase a separate under counter ice maker (at $2,000). We thought because it was an Electrolux, it would be great, we were wrong. My husband and I are very disappointed with our Electrolux French Door Refrigerator! We purchased one in 2009 and paid $4,300. I thought with that price, it should last at least 10 years. Well, after a year and a half, the ice maker broke. Good thing we purchased the extended service warranty for 5 years. Repair man came and replaced the ice maker. Couple months later, it broke again. Called again. Broke again, and again. So finally in 2012, Electrolux gave us a new refrigerator (same model) for a replacement. It worked until late 2015 when the ice maker started acting up again. Water started leaking behind the ice maker, on the back wall of the fridge. And after a while, the water freezes up. I knew my warranty is over so I thought Id live with it. I always had a towel where it leaks so it wont get all over the fridge. Its terrible and embarrassing. Everyone would ask me why I have a frozen towel in the fridge and I would always reply DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX. About 2 weeks ago, a piece of hard plastic and styrofoam came out of the ice maker while I was dispensing ice. Like, what the heck is it and where did it come from?? Then last Friday, the fridge totally died! I called every technician in town but unfortunately, nobody couldnt make it until today, Monday (weve had no fridge for 4 days!) Diagnosis: the control board is burnt out and it melted! Cost of repair: $522! This expensive fridge is a piece of junk! I am pissed and Im trying to get Electrolux pay for at least the parts. Lets see what happens next. But I will never buy Electrolux again.

I have been speaking with Electrolux customer service representatives for a week now regarding my Frigidaire range and the exploding glass that scattered all over my kitchen when I opened the oven door. Much to my disappointment, the Electrolux customer service representatives have explained to me that they have no responsibility to address this situation or provide my family with a safe oven because the range is no longer under the 12 month warranty. To say the least, I am appalled at this response. My family was exposed to glass exploding in my kitchen. My feet were cut, and my husband spent hours cleaning glass from every corner of our kitchen. We are just thankful that our young child was not in the kitchen and seriously injured. According to Electrolux customer service representatives, a slight bump of the oven door months earlier could cause the glass to explode in this manner. How is this a safe product? Our Frigidaire glass oven door exploding in our kitchen is a horrific safety hazard, and I am deeply disturbed by Electroluxs failure to rectify this situation.

I bought Electrolux dishwasher, range, and refrigerator in 2009 from Lowes
I bought Electrolux dishwasher, range, and refrigerator in 2009 from Lowes in Marble Falls, TX. The dishwasher was damaged when arrived, then not installed properly. After several attempts to get Lowes to replace it, and then several more phone calls with Electrolux, I finally had a new one installed. It always leaked, and I could get no one to take responsibility. It was the worst dishwasher I ever had, so I finally replaced it with a KitchenAid, which I love. The refrigerator is terrible! The filters need replacing all the time, the crisper freezes my lettuce, even on the warmest setting, so I can only use the right half of the drawer. The same is true for the cheese drawer. The ice and water dispenser do not shut off every time, which makes a huge mess on the floor. Came home last night from vacation, the CE alarm was going off, and everything in the refrigerator and freezer was ruined. Again, Electrolux will do NOTHING! I guess I will also throw the refrigerator out and replace it with a KitchenAid.

I have had this stove for about 2 months, replacing a 20 year old smooth top range. I thought this was a lot of bang for the buck with some features of much more $$$ stoves. I researched quite a bit and found the price very good @ Best Buy, since according to the salesman, the BTU rating is low for today's standards(how fast DO you need water to boil?), so the stove had been marked down for 'clearance'. It is smart looking and performs as expected. One minor mishap that one night it beeped with an error message while I was in the middle of cooking dinner and the only remedy I could find with some internet searching was to throw the circuit off and back on. It hasn't happened again. I use the stove 2-3 times a day as I cook and bake almost daily.

The screen is hardly visible for years and the new parts are supposed to be worse than keeping the old part that the microwave works. After 5 years I had to replace the Electrolux refrigerator and dishwasher. After 7 years I had to replace the Electrolux stove and oven. I would replace the microwave but they do not make this size anymore. Although, the new Electrolux appliances are beautiful. I truly believe the original appliances should have lasted longer. I do not recommend this brand for anything except vacuums.

ELECTROLUX IQ Touch Top Control Dishwasher #EI24ID50QS - Purchased in August 2014, our Electrolux dishwasher immediately malfunctioned. The dishwasher drains intermittently and it displays an unrecognizable error code (iFo) which causes operation failure. By Jan 2015, weve had four separate manufacturer service calls and theyve yet to resolve the problem. With a lack of respect for their customers time and inconvenience, Electrolux refuses take responsibility, neither refund or replace their faulty product.

I bought an expensive Electrolux refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher in 2012. So far I have required repairs on the dishwasher (control panel went dead); stove (would not self clean) and the refrigerator has broken plastic that holds up the bins; very hard to remove drawers and put back in for cleaning. The bin handles you pull out are broken on at least 3 drawers. I bought these online thinking if I paid a very high price I would get quality - WRONG. I believe the cheap builders appliances would have been better than the Electrolux fix and repair too often.

I purchased an Electrolux Front Load Washer on April 27, 2015. The belt caught fire and burned a hole in the tub causing a large amount of water to leak on the floor. There is standing water at the bottom of the machine. The door wont open and shut correctly. The machine is loud. It is useless! I requested a new machine, but Electrolux wont replace it. They offered to fix it. My laundry is piling up while I wait for parts and a service appointment. Ive called four times and spoke with a supervisor. They will not replace it. A washing machine should not fail after 2 months!!

Cleaning issues with my Electrolux Icon dishwasher go back to just a few mo
Cleaning issues with my Electrolux Icon dishwasher go back to just a few months after we purchased our home in June, 2015. There have been drainage problems and leakage problems, but the most consistent problem has been the fact that the top rack does not clean. Three authorized Electrolux licensed companies have worked on the dishwasher. Every part on the dishwasher has been replaced. Ive purchased countless cleaning products recommended by the technicians and the problem has not been solved. The top quarter of the dishwasher does not rinse clean and there is always food standing in the bottom of the machine (causing a terrible odor - one technician told me to rinse and wipe by hand - I have never had to do that before). I have requested a copy of my service record but was told that it was not available to me but that the technicians have all the information. The wrong part has been ordered twice (or just the wrong one sent... no one is quite sure) which means I have been confined to my have home twice in the past two weeks with no work done on the machine. Last month a technician said he just didnt know what else could be done, but when I told Customer Service this they said the technician hadnt put this in writing. Apparently there is a procedure that must be followed to get a replacement review for a product that cannot be fixed and it must be initiated by a technician. All this is in the notes that the CS reps says he is adding to my file, but I have very little faith in that. I get a different person each service call and they always want to try one more thing! I did purchase an extended service contract last year so I am not out any money at this time (although I paid over $400 after the warranty was up and my builder paid about the same), but I have devoted a tremendous amount of time and energy trying to get this fixed. My contract is up in July and I told Customer Service that I fully expected this to be resolved before then and not dragged out so that my contract expires before it is settled. I have four boxes of unusable parts being stored at my house. Electrolux could have bought me two new dishwashers for the amount of parts and labor that have been wasted on this machine. I have tried to be patient with this situation, but I have been tested to the limits and want some results.

I am not happy at all with our purchase! Was told by technician who came out to check them that I needed to shut my cold water down so we could get warm water wash? Never heard of such a thing! So we put coats in and it shuffles them until the washer is out of balance! The dryer is another problem? We put 3 bath towels and hand and washcloths in and the kitchen towels? When you go to take them out part of them still wet! All we wanted was to have a washer and dryer we could turn on and do laundry! This pair is nothing but computerized junk to us!

We bought a new Electrolux refrigerator in July of 2014 and were told by our sales person that Electrolux was a higher grade brand. We believed him and opted to spend a little more to get what we thought would be a bit better quality. Were we wrong! One year and one week to the day, our wiring harness burned out, causing my entire house to smell of burn plastic. All of my food took on the taste and smell of burnt plastic and my refrigerator stopped cooling. When I called Electrolux, they basically told me we were out of luck since we were out of warranty, but they could offer me an extended warranty for $575 (what a deal). We have spent the last 2 days fighting with them over this piece of crap refrigerator that lasted us an entire year and we can either buy the extended warranty or be forced to buy an entirely new refrigerator. Needless to say, I will NEVER buy an Electrolux appliance as long as I live. I will go out of my way to tell people what a substandard product they manufacture and how they provide no concern for customer service or satisfaction. As a consumer I have to wonder why companies push extended warranties when they claim that their products are superior in quality. Shouldnt a refrigerator last longer than 1 year?

We recently purchased an Electrolux Oven. The unit came highly recommend on several sites online. The unit arrived with damage, including a defective control panel. Electrolux was initially very friendly and professed a desire to do whatever was needed to fix the unit. In the end, they admitted that they had no parts for the oven and would have to manufacture some. It would take at least a month. They then discussed replacing the oven, but decided it needed to be repaired at least once. Of course there were no parts to repair it. In the end, they did nothing. So we bought another oven. I had purchased an Electrolux washer and dryer in July of 2015. I spent over $2200 on the pair. I noticed almost immediately that the washer wasnt completely spinning the clothes dry. I assumed it was because it was too full. I lightened the loads and the problem still continued. I often had to rewash the loads 4 and 5 times to get it to spin dry. I had family come in to stay with me a few months after I purchased it. They used the machine and told me to call the company and have someone come out. I did and when the service guy came out he had told me that the entire inside of the machine needed to be replaced because a bolt came loose and pushed the drum forward. He informed me that the was a lemon and that I should get a replacement machine. He also said this would take 2 weeks and 2 guys and a 5 hr job. 2 weeks without a washing machine was unheard of in my world. I immediately called Electrolux and spoke to a manager. They told me all they could do is fix it and pay for the repairs. They told me to talk to Sears where I bought it to see if they would do anything for me. Well Sears did nothing!!! Literally said its not our problem and they dont deal with Electrolux. Then why the Hell do you sell it??? Never shop there... Ever. Anyway the repairs guy came out 12 days later. Fixed it and 1 week later I called to report the same issue. He retired to tell me its just the way this machine is. Nothing else he could do. Again, 2 weeks later the machine stopped spinning all together. They returned and said the bolt was loose again. This time they glued it. 7 months old and the machine is being glued. Well I said, pretty bad for a new machine to be treated like a 10 year old one. I called Electrolux and told them this was the 3 call on the same problem and this should be treated as a lemon and the machine should be replaced. The woman agreed completely and said she would get on the problem. Well never heard from her again. My husband called, talked to the manager and he said now that its glued it should be fine. I would have to wait for it to break again before any action takes place. Ive been out of laundry for a total of a month and for some reason they think thats ok!! I dont!!! Never ever purchase from this ** company. Save your money please.

My wife and I bought a brand new home, with brand new Electrolux appliances
My wife and I bought a brand new home, with brand new Electrolux appliances 2 years ago. EVERY Electrolux appliance we bought has had major problems within the first 18 months, and continues to break. The following all happened within the first 18 months of owning the appliances, and with fairly light use. The microwave simply stopped working. The control panel went black and would not response. We paid nearly $1000 for parts and labor to fix it (as this happened just barely after the warranty expired). 6 months later, the same thing happened. No support or coverage, although the technician was quite insistent that he never sees problems with these appliances and that we buy an extended warranty from him, which we did not.The refrigerator door handle became very loose. $90 repair bill. Technician was again quite insistent that he never sees problems with these appliances and that we buy an extended warranty from him, which we did not. About a month later, the freezer drawer handle became very loose. $90 repair bill. The technician was quite insistent that we buy an extended warranty from him. We did not. The Oven stopped working. Simply no heat. Everything looked like it was working, but there would be no heat. $540 repair bill. The technician once again claimed that these appliances almost never have any issues, and was quite insistent that we buy an extended warranty from him. We did not. The dishwasher top rack continues to break loose from its rollers, requiring everything be removed, including unscrewing the brackets for the top rack, and remounting it. This is a very poor design, and seems to be a very common problem on this model. The stove top knobs have all broken loose, and the stove top ignition has stopped working several times. You may be thinking that we must really be rough on our appliances. No.. We barely use them. Our kids have moved away and it is just my wife and I. We are gentle with them, and try to be very careful, especially with what now seems to be extremely fragile workmanship. We have owned several homes and many, many kitchen appliances... We have never had any issues (even when all of our kids were at home and the appliances saw much greater use). Electrolux is without question the very worst. You may be asking why we dont replace them, instead of repairing them. Good question, and we probably will. Of course the cabinets were designed around these appliances, and they all match aesthetically, which is a big part of the reason.

This appliance is a piece of junk and the service has much to be desired. Bought it with other kitchen appliances while redoing the kitchen. Have only used it two months and here are my complaints: doors were dented when unit arrived, new doors were put on with seals put on backward, water filter leaks water on the floor, unit makes more noise than expected. Freezers doesnt seal. Even after service people allegedly fixed it I thought it still didnt seal. Turns out I was right. The freezer door rails need replaced according to third service company!! The electronic computer board has malfunctioned and is reading error codes. The refrigerator will not maintain cold. The evaporator fan needs replaced - not working. Some type of Unit blew out when there was some type of power outage. Now, keep in mind this is two months of use!!!!!! I am filing a lemon law complaint and complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The response of Dormont Appliance and Electrolux has been much less than stellar. DO NOT PATRONIZE EITHER OF THESE COMPANIES (for your own good!).

We had our house built 6 years ago and I just had to have the Electrolux appliance. The only thing that in my opinion that has worked well is the dish machine. The oven, cooktop, and microwave not so much. For the price I was expecting as other consumers have stated a much better product. I did not get the warranties because them in themselves were expensive as well.Lets start with the microwave because it had the least problems and lasted the longest. Two years ago the door panel came partly loose. Only I had it fixed was because I had gotten the home warranty for all household appliances and it was covered under that warranty. Along with the other two appliances that I am going to talk about. Last year the spring broke so the door would not close. My husband tried to fix it and in the midst of doing that he broke the top piece. A friend came over and saw that the door was taped shut. He asked what was wrong with it; I told him and he fixed for me. The top piece could not be fixed because it was plastic. Thank goodness he didnt charge me. He said it was a minor fix. The top piece I just laid it back on top. You couldnt tell it was detached. Now this year the microwave stop working all together. I put something in it to warm up and it did not come on DEAD. I never cooked in it anyway but dead after 5 1/2 years.Next we are going to talk about the cooktop. I picked out the 36 in induction cooktop. It was working good. I was excited I had gotten it then after 6 months the burners seem to no be cooking as well. I had to cook the food on high if I was using more than one burner because it was not cooking well and taking forever to cook. Thank goodness not was burning. I thought something was wrong but I could not figure out what it was. Then one day when I was cooking for the holidays, midway through cooking the hold cooktop shut off. At that point I had to wait for the fans to cool the cooktop off. Once that happen I had to cook everything one at a time till I was finish cooking. Needless to say I was upset. That Monday I called the Electrolux and they called a service tech out because it was still just under their warranty . When he finally came out he told me that it was a good thing it had shut itself off because it could have set the house on fire. Like that is something a home owner wants to hear. He told me he had to order the part. It took three weeks for that part to come in. No problems after that until the fourth year and it did it again. By this time I had gotten the home warranty I spoke of earlier and thank goodness for that because we had problem after problem. This time one side of the cooktop could not work. The service people sent someone to fix it. Then two months later the other side when out. They sent the same person out again. Then the other side that had been fixed went out again so he had to come back. This was every two months for 8 months. Then finally he realized something was burning out the circuit boards and fix it. No more problems but on the induction side you cannot burn the 2 burners on the same temperature or you will get an error. Thats a small price to pay for not being able to use your appliance that you paid hard earn money for 8 months. Finally we get to the double oven. The first problem I had was the Led lights went out. That was still under factory warranty. This happen two months after we moved in. The next problem again like the cooktop, the oven sensor went out, this was 6 months after we moved in. They came and fixed that. I had no problems until again like the cooktop in the 4th year. I was cooking on normal bake and the oven seem like it wasnt getting hot. Then I started using the convection bake then it seem like it was doing the same thing. One day I was standing there looking at the stove wondering what to do, my daughter said Momma I told you the bottom oven works better than the top. At that point I turned both ovens on and the bottom oven heated up faster than the top. So for a while we used the bottom oven for cooking until it was doing the same thing as the top. The problem with the oven was happening at the same time with the cooktop but it had to be 2 different work orders. The oven took longer to get fixed than the cooktop because we had to wait longer until the part to come in. So I didnt have a oven for 11 months. Because you could not use 1 oven without the other because they were on the same circuit board. Since then we can use both ovens but the bottom oven is still hotter than the top and it still heats up quicker.

The washer started squeaking while spinning after 2 months of utilization. Called customer support and firstly they asked me if I unplugged the washer (not sure what is the connection between the 2, but ok..). Then they said that I have to pay for the service and when I told them that the appliance is in warranty they said that I have to pay to unstack the dryer (which is on top of the washer) at least (!). Be prepared to pay $135 with tax. :( They booked a service provider that was not covering my area, so I had to call again and when I told the customer support about this, he pretended he cant hear me and hung up on me. So I had to call again. I am very frustrated with the customer service as well as with the payment I have to make even if the appliance is in warranty. I will never buy Electrolux and would never recommend it to anyone. An appliance that starts making that noise after 2 months of use is not a good appliance!

From day 1 I have had problems with these machines. I had it serviced several times, the service people contacted Electrolux to discuss issues and new parts were put into the dryer and it seemed to help for a while, but now it isnt drying the clothes without extra cycles. The washer is a total wreck. The drum broke and that had to be replaced. It is so loud when it spins, it sounds like an airplane taking off. Then it was the thermostat heating the water to boiling hot on every single load even delicates. Now the front door wont stay closed. I hate, hate, hate these machines. We recently moved into a 4 year old home with 7 Electrolux appliances. In the short time we have been using these fairly new appliances, we have come to realize that 3 of them are in major need of repair. The home we purchased is in impeccable shape and well-cared for so I can only assume these appliances were well-cared for as well.Probably 1: Dishwasher. When running the dishwasher the soap compartment always had a large chunk of soap left in it. The dishes felt like there was a residue left on them. (Repair bill $210). Problem 2: Second dishwasher. When we put a rinse aid in the the appropriate compartment I believe it all came out during the next few wash. It should have been released during the next 155 washes. This left all my dishes with a film that could only be removed by soaking everything in vinegar. It could not be washed off with dish soap.Problem 3: Wall Oven. It takes about 25 min to get up to 350 degrees. Once it does it cannot hold at that temperature. The temp gauge will read that the oven is at the set temp but the thermometer I placed inside will read much lower. If I push cancel and set my oven to preheat, the temp gauge will then realize it is not up to temp and start preheating. (When cooking something as simple as cupcakes I have to continually reset the oven so that it will stay at a constant temperature.)I called Electrolux. Their only recommendation is to call a repair service for each appliance. They will not offer me any kind warranty even though these appliances are only 4 years old. I was told they are man made and sometimes things break. Sure I understand that but when 3 out of our 7 are broken in the first 4 years of use I believe that is an Electrolux quality problem and not just a fluke.

Picked this up locally, and installation was fairly easy. At first we thought there was a issue with the keys as they didn't seem too responsive. We learned that you must touch and hold for a second to have it register. No biggie, just have to slow down :-) One complaint is the exhaust fan noise. It's LOUD. I have it exhausting out the top to the outside of the house. However it's very loud inside. I believe a lot of it is wind noise, because the fan is rated at a very high CFM for over the stove microwaves. My other complaint is the underside lights. They work great but they get HOT. If left on for a period of time, they will heat up the inside of the microwave. You would of thought they would have used LED's.

We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher and refrigerator - upgrading our current appliances after a remodel. These are the first and last Electrolux items I will ever purchase. The dishwasher had continuous problems with leaking. I had numerous repair companies come out and try to repair the problem - until they told me that the only thing they could do was take the unit to their warehouse, put it up higher and see if they could possibly find the leak - no guarantee. Every technician told me that Electrolux brands are one of the worst to work on. So we got rid of the dishwasher and replaced with another brand. Now it is the refrigerator. I got an EF error code on my display and after unplugging and plugging back in the fridge as the customer service rep at Electrolux instructed me to do, the whole fridge and freezer stopped cooling. This is not the first time I have had to empty my entire fridge and freezer. If you are considering buying Electrolux, read some of the reviews on this thread. They are overpriced and poor quality appliances.

Five years ago I remodeled my kitchen. I was talked into the top of the line Electrolux icon line and paid the price for it! Now I am again paying the price for it. Where shall I start? Hmm lets go with the overpriced refrigerator that has now almost completely fallen apart. Every shelf made with plastic fittings has now broke. Shelves are now barely holding one, drawers dont roll and stick and again, plastic parts broken and cannot be repaired. Overpriced built-in convection/microwave. Now not working as I dont want to put an additional $500.00 to repair the thing. Id rather put the money towards something worth having. Oh, and this is the second time its been repaired. Built-in convection oven electrical panel has been replaced once. Im not holding my breath. Now this morning, two of the electrical units on my flat top built-in stove have an error indicator on them. Who knows what is wrong now! All I can say is seriously, 4/4 items being in disrepair in less than five years. Well, you do the math. Do not buy any Electrolux product.

We purchased 4 Electrolux kitchen appliances, a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and range 10 years ago. Wanted all my appliances to match. The range worked except the oven panel on the bottom started to bubble. I called to get it replaced and they told me it wasnt made anymore so I had to live with it. After 2 years the microwave broke and had to replace it, 3 years later the microwave broke again and had to buy another. Then 4 years went by, and the refrigerator broke down completely! Of course, I kept saying - I want them to all match so we bought a new refrigerator. Well about 6 months later, you guessed it, the microwave broke. That was our third one. When I called to see if it could be fixed or replace the panel found out it was so expensive had to buy another. When speaking to customer support I happen to mention about my oven panel. Said yes, they did have a replacement so I ordered it in February. About a month ago it started to bubble just like the last one. Last week I called them and said had to pay for another. Which I will not do. Have not mentioned my dishwasher because I dont use it!! Sure it would break if I did. Hope you were able to read this long experience. I recently purchased an Electrolux dishwasher from Lowes on Thursday March 16, 2014. It had been on display in their cabinet section and discounted accordingly. When I got the unit home and went to install it I found the discharge hose that connects to the garbage disposer was not in the unit. I also found the mounting brackets were missing. I called Electrolux customer service and explained the issue. A gentleman named Jerry took our call. We told him we needed the parts right away as we had kitchen installers at our home. We asked for the parts to be shipped overnight so we could finish installation on Friday. He said it could not be done - company policy states that missing parts would be shipped only in 3-7 days. If we paid for the parts and overnight shipping we would have them Saturday. This was originally a $1500 dishwasher and we felt we were being treated poorly. We were on the phone for about an hour and I requested to speak to a supervisor and was told none were available and to call back tomorrow. Totally frustrated, we paid for the parts and next day shipping via credit card. No parts arrived Friday, no parts arrived Saturday, and no parts arrived Sunday. We finally received the parts on Monday. Much to our frustration, the hose was wrong. Jerry had shipped the hose that was attached to the dishwasher, not the hose that attaches to the garbage disposal. So, on the phone again with Electrolux. The next customer service person could not identify the hose I needed and said she would have to speak to engineering. She called back later in the day to state they identified the hose, she would credit me for all the missing parts and overnight shipping. She said she needed to transfer me to another department which would handle shipping me the correct parts. Upon transferring the call, the connection dropped. 2 hours of effort lost. I called back in and spoke to another customer service agent who was not helpful, could not find any notes after I explained to yet another person at the company what had happened. He states that because it was a floor model I would have to pay again for the parts. AT THIS POINT I LOST IT. 4 plus hours on the phone with Electrolux and I was back at the starting point I experienced Thursday. Is this the service they provide to customers buying their products?? We are in the process of selecting another dishwasher, 2 wall ovens, a stove, and refrigerator for our new kitchen. We are also selecting appliances for our in-law suite and a rental home. Needless to say, given our experience, the new appliances will not be Electrolux. Adding pain to this experience, no invoice was provided with the parts shipment!! Does anyone at Electrolux care????

I purchased a wave touch washer and dryer in december 2008. We have had to have both the washer and dryer parts replaced many times on both. The computer boards went bad on the washer. It still leaks down the front and the door does not open properly. To get these fixed is several $$. We were just told that our dryer now needs a new motor costing around $350. I recommend to anyone else that they dont purchase electrolux products. It is a foreign brand and parts are a lot more money. A fact that I overlooked when buying. We are considering cutting our losses and purchasing a whole new set instead of continuing to pour more money into these units. What a huge disappointment. If this complaint only warns future customers would be my desire. So wish I would have done more research before purchasing them

We remodeled our kitchen several years ago and replaced our dishwasher, refrigerator and slide-in range/oven with Electrolux appliances. All three have required significant repairs or replacement. The dishwasher has failed twice and has “irreparable problem”. The wire that holds the door open in various position is connected to a molded plastic fitting in the frame. The fitting breaks off the molded plastic frame. The machine is build on and that’s that’s, you need a new dishwasher. After two years of service we received a $200. Credit toward our next $1,000+ machine. The fancy range we bought had a valve fail and that was $400. And the ice maker failed in the fridge. That was $350 for half an ice maker that now sounds like it’s grinding up glaciers. No more Electrolux for us!

Purchased high end (what a joke) Electrolux appliances. Turned out to be thinly disguised Frigidaire appliances. What a mistake. Fridge ice maker kept failing. Service guy told me Electrolux would send him out 3-5 times then would replace the fridge believe it was 4 times, but even then it took a couple of hours discussing the issue with Frigidaire warranty department. They tried to pull the its out of warranty excuse because it was just over a year. The new fridge has a different ice maker but still periodically must be defrosted and the milk self broke. The microwave needed a new display board, then 6 months later shorted out because it had been improperly painted which allowed it to arc. Even though it was out of warranty by about 6 months they finally agree to replace, but not install a new unit. The plastic impeller on the dishwasher failed. The service tech advised me to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. The stove has failed and needed a $600 controlled board. It has now failed again. Junk.

We purchased our Electrolux French door refrigerator (model EW28BS85KS5) 2.5 years ago. Within days of delivery the freezer door would not stay closed, contacted Electrolux and the service company. They recommended twisted the door to get it to close and said it was repaired. Few days later door is back to opening on its own. Another company was sent out who fixed the door. All the plastic around the doors is cracking off now. Electrolux is sorry. Now both ice makers have stopped working. The top ice maker seemed to jam so my husband reached in to clear the ice and received a shock. I called and talked to Jennifer ** the Corporate Supervisor and she advised me only parts are covered. She understands how I feel but I will need to contact 1 of 2 authorized service centers for the repair of the ice makers. Very dissatisfied, Do not buy Electrolux products. My old refrigerator looked new compared to this one and it was 20 years old.

Purchased a Electrolux Refrigerator Model #EW288S715A. Ice maker stopped working about 6 months after install. Electrolux tried and send us a new refrigerator. Within a few months the ice maker went again. Electrolux said they would sell us another new one for 40% off the retail price. Its a good thing we didnt do that deal - I have since learned that the refrigerator that they would have sold us would have had the same problem. So no ice-maker in a $4000 CDN appliance and after a few years an error message appeared on the panel.Found out that the problem with the ice maker has now caused more serious problems with the guts of the refrigerator from water damage caused by poor insulation that will cost us almost $900 CDN and will probably fail again in the near future. Electrolux know this is a problem but are not reaching out to their customers to tell them what to do - basically the company has stuck their heads in the sand hoping that purchasers of this product dont get together and go after them. I am working on starting a class action suit. Electrolux is one of the largest appliance manufacturers in the world and are abusing their clients with incredibly bad designed products. Stay away from Electrolux. I was told that Bosch makes a fairly good refrigerator.

I purchased Electrolux dishwasher and refrigerator in 2010. We have had nothing but problems. We took out a warranty plan (THANK GOD). Our refrigerator did not make ice, and after 4 visits was replaced in 2013. The new refrigerator makes ice but all in the wrong places. We have had repair come out 4 times now to fix it (it should have been replaced, but due to the 1 year warranty with Electrolux, warranty company is stating that this is only the 3rd visit and they will attempt to try and fix the problem they couldnt fix the 1st 3 times. Repairman stated that in order to fix our Refrigerator we would need to thaw it for 21 hours before he can repair (think of all the circuits rusting). Dishwasher has had 3 motor replacements since 2010. I renewed another warranty plan as the motor goes out every year. We are totally disgusted with our Electrolux products.

We bought a refrigerator in November 2018, needed to change the whole complete cooling system in February 2019, and we are now waiting for a technician in August 2020 because our food is freezing. Very bad customer service, hard to reach someone: tried to called a lot of times and was told by a machine to call back because the lines were too busy. When I reached someone, VERY rude, she didn’t seems to want to help me. The date for a technician was 1 to 2 weeks after the call. Very far when you got 4 kids to feed and food is wasting everyday in the expensive fridge that we bought 2 years ago. Very very disappointed. I do NOT recommend this brand to anyone.

ELECTROLUX SERVICE WARRANTY PROCESS IS LONG AND BROKEN: 5 WEEKS WITH A DRYE
ELECTROLUX SERVICE WARRANTY PROCESS IS LONG AND BROKEN: 5 WEEKS WITH A DRYER THAT HAS NEVER POWERED UP. Appalling service and approach to customer service. Electrolux service warranty process is long and Broken: 5 weeks with a dryer that never powered-up. Im now in possession of a dryer for approx. 5 weeks that has never powered-up. Its been 5 weeks of endless hours of phone calls and emails with Canadian Appliance Source, the retailer; Electrolux Warranty Dept; and Home Appliance Care Ottawa, authorized service technicians. Following the first warranty service call, the tech diagnosed the problem to be the motherboard related to power fluctuations in the dryer electrical outlet. The builders electrician confirmed the power readings were normal and within acceptable limits. A replacement board was ordered and installed. Guess what?! The dryer still did not power-up and tech remains convinced it is due to a power issue. I requested a second assessment of the power situation from the provincial (equivalent to a US state) power provider, and it was determined again that all was working as it should. This information was relayed to Electrolux, who now wants to schedule a third warranty service call, as a second opinion to its first 2 assessments. When asked why a second opinion was necessary given that more highly educated and experienced professionals have already determined that there are no issues with power supplied to the dryer, I was essentially told it was because Electrolux was more trusting of the assessment provided by their authorized service technician. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! HOW DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE ANY SENSE? Does the CEO/PRESIDENT or any other member of Electroluxs senior management team have any idea of how customers are being handled? This is a waste of time by all the parties involved, and hugely inconvenient for me, the customer. Im presently drying my clothes on a $50 drying rack instead of the $800 dryer I purchased.WHERE IS CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ANY OF THIS? Common sense to this situation in not being applied by Electrolux. Why doesnt Electrolux retain its political capital and just admit the productive is defective. It will be a very, very sad day if Electrolux maintains its position of only accepting their authorized technicians assessment about the power situation. What a disgusting way to treat a customer who is in possession of product for almost 5 weeks that has never worked out-of-the-box.

I bought the big expensive Electrolux washer and dyer. The big stand up kind with the doors on the side, with the window in the door. I love the washer but the dryer does not dry well and the wrinkle release is useless. To make matters worse some moron designed the filter inside the door to be flat so clothes just sit on the ledge and wrinkle terribly. It is a really stupid design!!! IT should at least be at an angle so some of the clothes do not just sit on the ledge, there should obviously be no ledge there!!!

About 3 years ago we remodeled our kitchen and purchased the top model refrigerator that Electrolux had to offer. Within a year, they replaced the entire refrigerator for free because the ice maker could not be repaired. After owning the second refrigerator for a year, we began to experience problems with the ice maker again. We had to pay $250 to have the ice maker replaced. Now, another year in, we are having issues again. The ice maker has stopped producing ice again and I have had to call a serviceman to come and repair it. This is really frustrating and disappointing. I would never purchase nor recommend an Electrolux refrigerator again. Call Electroluxs customer service was fruitless.

3 years ago we renovated our home and bought new appliances (Electrolux products - Indonesia) for the kitchen. We bought a gas range, microwave, rice cooker and refrigerator. I selected Electrolux because of my experience with Electrolux in the USA was always very positive. The rice cooker required several repairs because of a bad smell after cooking rice. It was finally resolved. The gas range oven will not stay lit and requires me to watch constantly to make sure it stays on. However, I havent asked for a repair. I can manage using it without a repair at this time. The main issue we have is the refrigerator. Ive lost count the number of times weve contacted the service center and the number of times theyve been to our home or scheduled to come to our home to repair. The service staff who attempts to repair does not appear to be experienced or authorized to make decisions to repair without contacting the service center. After a few years of frustrations and attempts to repair we will replace with another brand. Ive had enough frustrations with the Indonesian service center and lack of response or promises that go unfilled.

I wanted a plain basic stainless fridge but a friend was getting rid of this Electrolux so I bought it. Especially now after reading all this feedback, I wish I would have settled on the Whirlpool I originally intended to buy.

Purchased an extended warranty from Electrolux. Washing machine broke within 5 years of purchase. Repairman recommends replace machine. Customer service by Electrolux is a nightmare. They stonewall, and will not do anything; wont replace, nor will they authorize repair. We have been without a washer for over a week since repair estimate was submitted, by their repairman. Have lost all confidence in their product and their support. My wife and I purchased a Condo in Sept. 2016, as part of the sale the previous owner renovated the kitchen including all appliances. We filled out the warranty cards and sent them in. In April 2017 the microwave developed a problem, The service tech that Electrolux sent out (dispatcher with service company had very bad attitude) claimed it needs a new board. Now Im told the appliance was made in 2012 and parts are no longer available (although their rep is still trying to sell me an extended warranty). Although recently installed and warranty filed Electrolux say they cant repair and refuse to replace the unit. I am upset that the units were even sold and installed with that age on them but now the warranty isnt honored... They say the customer is their priority but not from my point of view. Will never buy or recommend an Electrolux or Frigidaire product again.

I purchased a complete set of ICON Electrolux appliances just over 10 month
I purchased a complete set of ICON Electrolux appliances just over 10 months ago. The first time we used the dishwasher, the control panel kept displaying a code 11 that indicated a drain valve issue. I contacted the customer service department and they referred me to a service company to come and review the issue. The service tech had no idea what he needed to do, and advised me that it was not an issue with the appliance, but an installation issue and advised there was nothing he could do. I then contacted a plumber at my own cost and was advised by a 25-year experienced plumber that there was nothing wrong with the installation and to contact Electrolux back to get a second opinion from another service tech. I contacted Electrolux back and after many complaints, they finally sent a different service company to review the product. The new service tech finally advised that the issue was due to the faulty computer board, which he advise Electrolux to replace. Electrolux then advised that the dishwasher I purchased was no longer available and the store which I purchased from gave me a refund. I then decided to give Electrolux another chance and purchased their product. Recently, I used the self-clean on my Electrolux ICON stove and when the self-clean was complete, I opened the stove and noticed the door window had dirty film in between the glass and there were two size toony marks on right and left side of the door. I wiped it with a damp cloth and pieces of the material started chipping off. I sent an email to their customer service department and they advised there was nothing they can do as their guarantee only covers working parts and not visual ones. I could not believe that I received such an email from a high-end company.

The refrigerator stopped cooling. I registered a complaint (ref no PTNA 2210110036, dated 8 Oct 2011). The delay in attending to the complaint resulted in leakage of oil. I was later advised to get the compressor changed as oil change cannot be done. Even after compressor change, the refrigerator was not working and was taken to ASC and returned the unit with drilling in the back to do the work. How and with whose permission the drilling is being done? Is this the standard of repairing the refrigerator? Why should I go for legal proceeding against Electrolux under Indian Penal Court Section 420, 120B?

My husband purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot a year ago. From the day it was installed, it has given us nothing but problems. If a dishwasher had the power to ruin a persons day, this is the model that would do that. The electronic display never works. Just never works. Push them all day to try to start a load of dishes and you get nothing but beeps. You cannot simply push the type of load and hit start, as most dishwashers allow you to do. Its all computerized and nothing works. When we finally do hit the buttons enough times to get the machine to start, it runs a cycle and the dishes come out the same as they went in - not cleaned at all.Weve called Home Depot... Weve called Electrolux - all to no avail. Electrolux sent out a serviceman who did nothing. They wouldnt accept a return for this horrible machine, yet charged over $1000 for it. Im just waiting until my husband says we should just start over and buy a new machine. He chose this one himself, so Ill probably be waiting a while. Ugh. So frustrated.

I have a high end Electrolux refrigerator that is only 5 years old. The ice maker rusted through the back of the refrigerator and a softball size lump of ice was sticking out of the rusted area. The repairman stated the refrigerator was not repairable, he notified Electrolux and stated Electrolux would make good on it. Electrolux offered a 20% rebate on my next Electrolux refrigerator purchase because of the age of my refrigerator. My refrigerator is 5 years old. A refrigerator life expectancy is 14-17 years, making the average 15.5 years. My refrigerator lasted less than 1/3 of the average expectancy and I expected Electrolux to give me 2/3 off my next purchase. They stated my refrigerator was past warranty. Well Electrolux, this was a KNOWN manufacturer’s defect and you allowed the warranty to expire without informing your consumers. I bought Electrolux because I believed you to be upfront and honest and to stand behind your product and most of all to do the right thing. I couldnt be more wrong. I will never buy from you again and that includes your Frigidaire brand and I will be sure to let everyone I know and even strangers that you do NOT stand behind your product and are deceptive by not disclosing manufacturer defects to consumers at every opportunity.
