Their service department is absolutely terrible. The motherboard went out after only 8 months of use. They never notified the appliance repair company that the part was back ordered (I had to follow-up on that) and every step of the way I kept being told someone will follow-up in 2-3 business days. No one ever followed up with me, I had to call to check on the status of my claim EVERY time. The request for a replacement dishwasher after two weeks was denied because the part was going to be available in another week, but then I wouldnt receive the part for a minimum of another week after that. When I asked to speak to a superior she refused and told me no one was available. After demanding to speak to one I was told they would contact me in ANOTHER 2-3 business days (well see if that ever happens). This is (still going on) an absolutely awful service experience. I dont care that the dishwasher broke, I care that theyve handled it so poorly.

We bought all new GE Cafe kitchen appliances when we remodeled our kitchen 3 years ago. The first Cafe dishwasher needed repairs in the first 3 months, and was replaced within 10 months due to continuing problems. The replacement GE Cafe dishwasher was deemed non-repairable after 2.5 years. The unit has a design flaw and the bracket holding the top water sprayer broke. The extended warranty with Assurant will not cover the dishwasher because they say it is not a working part. We are trying to get GE Customer Care to help but after three weeks the message we are getting is they do not care at all.The front burner on the cooktop will not light. GE cannot get a replacement part so the cooktop was also deemed nonrepairable after only 3 year. Our Cafe refrigerator also has a design flaw. The refrigerator must be unplugged to reset the computer when the water filter is changed. If you dont the refrigerator does not recognize the filter and will not dispense water. Needless to say I will never buy GE again. It is sad to see what was a good company go down the tubes.

Bought the unit about 2 years ago. The interior paint started coming off after about 1 year and several months. At 2 years, the unit stopped working and is reporting a shorted keyboard. I have had other over-the-counter microwaves that lasted over 12 years and were replaced just due to old age and style. I have read about others with the exact same issues. Ill stay away from GE products big time after this display of poor reliability.

I purchased this dishwasher in Sept 2017. Today after normal use, the motor stopped and it leaked a full load of water into my basement. I called GE service and got no satisfaction. Its out of warranty after 12 months. I then called their customer care department who really dont care very much. They wanted a GE tech to look at the dishwasher for a fee of $109. Then they offered 50% discount on parts. In the past, GE was always a reliable brand but no longer. Stay away from their dishwashers and every other appliance they make. It is not the GE of old. I just purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher and hopefully, that will work better.

I have an above range GE Microwave - it is not even 2 years old and it is done. I noticed the past few months it was not heating properly - it needed more time. This week it just blew out! NO more GE Microwaves. I have a refrigerator and I am wondering how long that will last. Thank you!

Microwave (over the stove model) is also supposed to be conventional oven, but does not do that well. Just use as microwave. As microwave, easy to use. Now 14 years old and still going strong, although a little dated in appearance. Grill cover looks like chrome, but made of plastic, and when I tried to remove it recently to change the filter, it broke and now has to be replaced. $180, but still cheaper than a new appliance. Wish we could get away from using plastic parts.

My dishwasher is doing the same thing as the recalled models. The GE Cafe model is not included in the recall. The dishwasher front, which is stainless steel, becomes so hot it burns to the touch and stays that way for hours. Burning smell in the kitchen! Cafe models need to be added to the recall!

Purchased a new stainless steel 1200 watt General Electric Microwave in 2012. By 2013, the opening latch broke. They were willing to send the part as long as (I did the labor). I did the repair and put the machine back in service. At the end of 2014, an electrical storm occurred inside the unit with smoke and flames beginning within the control side of the unit. I unplugged it, let it cool, then later confirmed it was ruined. I tried consumer service again. They sent a repairman out to confirm the unit was not repairable. This time they called 2 days later and offered me a $20 coupon toward a new, retail GE microwave.Basically, they wasted my time. They should have just told me I was screwed and their units now only last 2 to 3 years, even if you buy a top end counter model. I waited at home 2 hours for this repairman to come by and several phone calls and would have more appreciated a quick answer, gotcha sucker! You bought a piece of crap GE product and youre screwed!

We had a new GE Monogram dishwasher installed September 2014, a little over a year. We had a hose leak and it cost us $229.00. I do not recommend this product.

I own a GE counter-top sensor microwave oven model #JES1451, which was only 2 years old. At 3:00AM, I woke to a room full of smoke and a burning plastic smell. I immediately rushed to the source which was my microwave oven. It was going by itself and the panel read sensor error with smoke billowing out of it and flames erupting. Luckily, I had a fire extinguisher handy. I had never had any problems with this microwave prior to this experience. I cringe at the thought of what could have happened to my home and my family sleeping upstairs if I hadnt been nearby.

My GE dishwasher was installed the first week of October, 2019. After 3 loads, the unit was no longer functioning properly. I called GE to set up a service appointment to get them to come look at the dishwasher. It ended up taking 3 different technicians, ordering 3 different parts, at 3 different appointments before the problem was fixed (or so I thought). By the time I was able to use my dishwasher again, it was already the end of December and my 30 day return window expired. It is now mid January and I am already having the same problem as before and having to go through the whole process again. Because the year warranty is only for repairs, they will not just replace the unit, and instead I will have to continue dealing with this nightmare. Obviously, I will just be replacing my unit on my own after this.... And it will not be with GE!

I bought a GE dishwasher 2 years ago. The control board went out so I had a repairman come to fix it. They had to order the board from GE directly and it took 1 month or more to get the part. Then it lasted one day! Now they are telling me it cant be fixed. Really??? I expect a dishwasher to last longer than 2 years. I also bought a GE microwave that only lasted 2 years. I replaced it with Whirlpool. GE is crap now and that use to be all I bought. Not anymore. I will never spend any money on GE appliances any more.

Ive had this stainless steel GE Dishwasher model GDF645SMONES with the controls in the front for nearly a year. The dishwasher constantly comes on with the slightest accidental touch. However the buttons that control the cycle settings are extremely difficult to operate to cancel the lock or delay hours features. I have to literally bang on the buttons to get a response. My thumbs are now sore from the constant pushing to cancel that lock and delay features that came on accidentally. Once locked, good luck in canceling anything. Im so disgusted with this $600 dishwasher. Complaints to GE and the so-called warranty company that turned out to be one and the same, have fallen on deaf ears from the day I got it. Do yourself a huge favor, do NOT buy this dishwasher. Customer service is awful.

I am a licensed master plumber. I do a fair share of high end kitchen installs, I noticed that in the last 5 years that all GE dishwashers I installed had a whole lot of extra parts to be installed by the installer. For example. Today I uncrated and tried to roll a GE dishwasher I got 6 and a drip tray fell out. Then when I went to install the dishwasher in the cabinet I had to install 4 different rubber flanges. When I went to push the dishwasher in the flanges came loose and hindered the install. The the insulation jacket kept binding up. The last 10 of these GE dishwashers I have installed the dishwasher appears to be racked or not square. I had to tell the General Contractor that I dont want to install the GE dishwashers any more. Ser.#GH260692A, this unit was purchased April 2017, February 2019, unit began to disconnect itself during normal use. This was done by way of throwing 15 amp breaker. No satisfaction from GE, NO extended warranty purchased, guilty as charged, contacted elect. tech. No idea of problem, #2 elect. problem in door sensors of which there are numerous, notice black residue on duel latch on door caused by door latch device rubbing on unit latch receiver cost to discover which sensor cause and replace one or all 250.00.We have been limping along for two months with frequent trips to basement resetting breaker (which we had replaced) next move, purchase NEW MICROWAVE. Let me be very direct if we wanted JUNK we would buy Asian made, THAT being said, there will be NO...General Electric products in this house. This is our second GE product BUST, 100.00 advertised by manufacturer. Never delivered! But hey we are just small time consumers. What might else we expect.

We moved into our new manufactured home in May of 2013. That is the month our above range built-in GE microwave was installed. In October of 2013, one of my sons heated a frozen chicken cordon bleu serving for 3 minutes, 45 seconds, according to packaging directions. He said that some of the inside of his food was cool, so my other son put in his serving for four minutes, zero seconds. All of the packaging was removed and each serving was placed on a separate Corelle plate and covered with Glad microwave-safe plastic wrap. While heating the second serving, the microwave started on fire. Fortunately, my son extinguished the fire before it spread. The food did not combust. The fire seems to have started from the ceiling behind the fan. The entire inside of our microwave is clean except for the soot that billowed out from the center of the ceiling. When the service tech came, he scrubbed the soot off of the ceiling with some paper napkins (which he left inside of the unit) and said that the microwave was a total loss. He also said the fire was caused by misuse, because plastic wrap is not meant to be used in the microwave, therefore even though the fire happened within a year of purchase and installation, our warranty was void. I asked GE to get a second opinion and they agreed to send a third party servicer (A&E) who stood me up three times! I finally got to schedule a GE tech to come at the end of December and they sent the same guy who said the fire was our fault! He told me that he never said plastic wrap is not meant for the microwave, but that we are being dishonest because fires only start when the food is left in the microwave for too long. He accidentally let it slip that he is seeing the same problem with GE microwaves in a lot of new construction for student housing in Tallahassee. (We live 20 minutes south of there.) He attempted to recover GEs reputation afterward by saying that of course it was the students faults, too, for misusing the microwave units. Anyway, GE has graciously offered to sell us a new microwave at slight discount. Haha, no thank you!

GE Microwave Model WES1450DN1BB 1.4 Cubic Ft 1100 Watt - This product is absolute garbage! This product was manufactured in June 2010 and I purchased it in approximately in May of 2011. So after 13 months of moderate use, the unit no longer functions properly. Needless to say, the product is out of warranty by about a month, so I pretty much now have nothing more than an overweight paperweight.I wont bore you with all the details, but for the most part, the touch pad stopped working and if left plugged in, the microwave will start on its own and run for up to a minute before beeping incessantly. If I unplug the unit and plug it back in, Ill receive a different error message, and so on. I wont waste my time contacting GE, because from what I hear, they really dont give a damn!When I was young, you could by an American-made product and expect it to last for many years. However, ever since greedy corporate America decided to ship all our jobs overseas in the name of profits, I have yet to find any imported products that are worth a damn. Instead of one good American product that would last a lifetime, I now have to purchase the same imported piece of ** many times over to get the same longevity. Maybe this is what GE wants?Needless to say, GE has now been placed on my Do Not Buy list. I guess I will now buy from another major manufacturer to see if their foreign-made garbage is any better!

Two years ago, after owning a GE JVM1490 microwave-convection oven (over the stove) for three years, the door handle broke.Let me clarify that I worked for GE first as an engineer, later as manager, for 20 years including 6 in Major Appliances. I am ashamed of what I am reading how GE is treating customers today.I am perfectly capable of replacing the handle myself if I am provided the complete and correct assembly drawings and/or instructions. GE refused to provide me anything when I requested them. The scant drawings and instructions I found online are insufficient. As a matter of fact, the design is so poor that removing the internal bezel, which you must do to reach the handle fasteners, forces you to break the mounting tabs, requiring replacement of this part plus the handle. This was confirmed by the parts store I visited.However, even after removing the bezel, neither I nor another ex-GE appliance engineer could figure out the access to the fasteners. I have glued the handle three times using epoxy and Cyanoacrylate (super glue), but it has broken off a fourth time. I will figure out a way of fixing it before I pay GE close to $100 for both the handle and bezel. And if I replace the appliance, you can be sure it will not be GE.GE should be ashamed of the poor design and deplorable customer service they are giving now. How things have changed!My suggestion is that all with this problem post name and phone number of GE customer service personnel they spoke with.

I contacted by phone GEs customer service department (800-386-1215) on 2 separate occasions. The most recent was on 2/18/13. About 4 1/2 years ago, when we purchased our new house, we bought all new GE appliances for our kitchen and laundry room. My biggest complaint is with our dishwasher. The top and bottom racks are rusting and most of the prongs have broken off as a result. This should not happen for an appliance that is only about 4 1/2 years old. Their response was that I could purchase both the top and bottom rack. Why would I purchase the same racks only to have it happen again? Clearly this is happening because they used a poor quality steel.There was a recall not too long ago on our dishwasher and the service tech who came out to fix the recall couldnt believe how badly the racks have rusted. I understand there is no warranty; however, you would think or hope that the racks would last a lot longer than 4 1/2 years. I am very disappointed in the quality and the lack of help regarding this matter.

20-month old G.E. Space Saver microwave (HVM1540) started to fizzle out by showing signs of running, but not heating; display flickering on and off with odd symbols; and vent, at times, not able to turn off unless I unplugged the whole unit. Anyhow, brand new home with brand new GE appliances, and I have had to replace the ice maker three times in my GE Profile refrigerator, and now this, my microwave. Service department stated that if I pay for the service call and the magnetron, they could guarantee the part for 5 years. But if it should go out, I would have to pay for labor again. Labor is guaranteed for 30 days. No thank you. I am very disappointed in GE products. Single mom, on a single income in rough economic times, I cant afford to purchase GE products again, and again, and again.

Microwave Model JVM1750DP2bb defective construction- Plastic is protruding inside the Oven. Took possession of a new home in January 2014, but only occupied part time. I estimate we had the equivalent of 6 months being occupied. In January 2017 the magnetron broke down, at which time I noticed a piece of plastics protruding inside the microwave through a vent hole on the Magnetron side. I did not take the extended warranty and GE only offered to send a repair man. Since this is an over the stove model venting outside, it had to be repaired or replaced. Checked with the supplier and they estimated a minimum of $ 300 repair cost. Home Depot had model JVM6175DKBB on sale for 249.00, and with delivery, and installation, were talking $ 350.00 to $400.00 to replace. I got in touch with GE Consumer Affairs, and they did eventually agree to provide the JVM6175DKBB for $ 270.00 including installation. They will take possession of the old model, so there wont be any way for me to confirm or deny a manufacturing defect.

I also bought a stove as well as the dishwasher. We Told them with great concern to put a extra warranty on the more expensive item, which was the dish washer... more could go wrong. We all agreed, including sales person. Day before the first year, the dish washer was not draining good. They said the warranty was running out. I told them, I had got extra yr warranty. The robot voice said it might be over. The repairman came in, and said the same thing. The repairman replaced everything in the dishwasher. It took him 3 visits. He got it working. He claimed there was an extra orange ball in the part and that why it didnt drain well.I started using it for 2 weeks and it stop draining completely. When I bought it the salesperson said, See I added the extra warranty on. But unbeknownst to me, she put it on the stove... How the heck am I supposed to know she did it wrong. I call the company and they said, Look at your receipt. And sure enough, it was on the stove. Looking at it and how the salesperson made it sound, it was understood by all that the warranty was on and I had an extra yr on the dishwasher... I looked at the receipt. Had a list of what I bought the warranty and we were good to go. Everything was replaced in it, everything. It was a mechanical issue and yet here it sits not working and I havent even paid for it. I am disabled and was give a lemon. I would never recommend a GE anything. This was a first... I usually buy Whirlpool and never ever had a problem... Theyre selling lemons and they know it.

We usually turn on the dishwasher in the night. Last month ours started smelling smoke in the morning 6:00 am. When checked, it was the dishwasher that melted couple of plastic cans and its own sprayer and other plastic parts (pictures speaks for itself). When checked with GE, this model was not under recall (there are other models with similar issues). They sent their technician, who confirmed that newer models has auto turnoff circuit. When I asked GE rep, both (level 1 and her manager) assured me that even though it shows its burnt from inside, it would have contained the fire inside, which I disagree. Even after seeing pics, their tech review and the whole incident, their engineers determined this is not a safety hazard to me or my family.

Purchased a microwave 5 weeks ago. When cooking it smells like something is burning. GE would only issue a goodwill certificate. Now Im forced to buy another GE product. After taking the cover off its clear that one of the connectors actually melted. It bubbled up and turned black. Because of this and the fact that other reviewers had the same problem. I dont want to buy another GE product. I dont think its unreasonable to get a refund since its only been 5 weeks. If I have purchased at a different store with a longer return policy I would be able to just bring it back to the store. Apparently the quality of GE products has gone down. I would not recommend.

I purchased a GE microwave from PC Richard and Son in 2011. The microwave is mounted above the oven. On March 13, 2013, the microwave (model JVM1750DP1WW) sparked a fire inside while my daughter cooked a waffle. After I contacted GE via email, the case manager (Misty) sent a technician to my home to inspect the microwave. This was free of charge. The technician claimed the microwave was able to be repaired and he needed to order touch up paint and a few parts. I was shocked that the tech claimed this was a simple repair and able to be fixed. I said, You need touch up paint? This is going to look horrible. How safe can this be after having a fire inside? He claimed it will look good and I would not notice the paint. I spent $411.00 on this microwave less than 2 years ago. I dont think I should have it fixed and touched up with paint to cover burn marks. The microwave went on fire. I dont want it fixed. Its not safe and should be scraped for safety regulations, not repaired and touched up inside with paint. The tech ordered a few parts and I immediately called the case manager Misty to stress to her my numerous concerns on the actions of the technician. I made clear that I was not satisfied with my microwave being fixed and painted when it went on fire, but would like a replacement. I told her I could understand fixing it if it was a broken part or electronic device, but not a fire. She agreed that she also would not like to have a fixed microwave in her home, but that GE can sell me one at a lower price of $150.00. Really, do they need the money that bad that they cant stand behind a dissatisfied consumer when their product went on fire? This could have been so much worse. Lucky my daughter was in the next room. She smelled, heard the fire and stopped the microwave. I paid the $150 just so I can have a working, new, safer microwave in my kitchen. But this is crazy and not good business ethic on GEs behalf. This should be set as a recall, not a repair. I contacted the service manager again stressing my complaint and feelings about paying this fee for a new microwave. She said again that if the technician says the microwave can be fixed, then theyll listen to the technician and fix the item. Well this seems a little one sided since the technician works for GE. No brainier. What do you think he is going to say?

GE Cafe Microwave CVM2072SM2SS - The touchpad stopped responding, like many other who have had this issue. GE would not give me a break on replacing the main and supporting circuit panel as suggested by the technician, so I had to pay out $500 on my own. After less than a year now the microwave wont heat. I liked the units looks and display but if it wont work, its useless.

Its a over the range model & came with a house purchase. It’s worked flawlessly for over 5 years now - even after being left with no air conditioning in FL for months on end. The only thing I could think to make it better is making it easier to choose longer length cook times. Button for half min & dial for all the rest can be irritating for your 16 min food.

This microwave is nearly 20 yrs old and is still working great. We replaced the handle but other than that it has been great. I would definitely recommend the GE brand as it has been very reliable. I give this product a great rating.

Just bought a Monogram dishwasher one week ago, and the front sound barrier fell off. The service man came out, took a look, and said it was not a big deal. I questioned him why it fell off within such a short period. He stated that it was GEs policy: to make Monogram quieter than competitors, they put in sound barrier in front. However, it fell off often. Since it does not affect how the dishwasher work, GE does not believe that it is a big deal. Therefore, no need for quality control, and he will use new glue to glue it back. No guarantee that it will not fall off later... What is GE stand on the engineering products any more? Will never buy any more GE product...

6/11/2014. My microwave of 5 years the GE Adora starting to act strange. It would start to hum and the panel light would light up. The humming would only stop if I opened the door. Sometimes it would stop on its own. But today the humming kept continuing and I thought it was harmless until I heard a loud pop in the microwave and smelled something burning. The microwave glass turntable had exploded from intense heat inside the microwave. It was bizarre. Immediately I ran over and unplugged the microwave hood. In all the years and houses I own, this is the most expensive microwave I have purchased and it has lasted me the least amount of time! Microwaves shouldnt start on their own and thankfully I was home when it did. Otherwise my house would have burned down.

I purchased my machine in 2019. The only concern I have with this machine is that I’m never sure of the amount of water that fills the tub with some features that I’m not used to. The tub on this machine enables me to wash very large loads including my queen size quilt. After washing, my clothes are practically dried which cuts down on my electric bill for the dryer. The drain and spin feature allows for a drier finish. Everything else is good. As long as you’re using the right soap the clothes are the cleanest.

Bought brand new GE Profile DW PDT845SSJSS as part of four appliance package to be installed as part of kitchen renovation. Bought in April 2018, renovation delayed until August 2018, install of appliances October 2018, installer by contractor plumber- excellent seasoned experienced installer. Never used DW until moving things into new kitchen. Washed dishes off in DW before placing in cabinets. After 3rd cycle- DW stopped working stating leak detected - contact GE. Are you kidding me? Brand new appliance! We had original installer come out- no leak- no visible water- we went to placed we purchased DW from - local place - Ray’s Appliances- asked for replacement DW. Was told we would have to pay for installation of 2nd DW at 225 charge. Are you kidding me? GE guy came out and did something to DW to fix it but said problem could return... Serious??? Well -DW worked for a few cycles- now displays leak detected again! Called GE and coming out 12/2. Ridiculous- I want a NEW DW with free installation! I’m paying @971 bucks for something that didn’t work from the outset!!!

I bought a JVM3670SK05 a little under two years ago. It is an above the cooktop vent-a-hood microwave. I believed I was buying a quality unit. Now everything is working, but there’s no heat! Even the cheap units from Walmart work longer than this expensive piece of crap! Now I either have to spend enough to buy a new hood for cooktop and new microwave or pay the same price and buy parts in hope that they will not go out again. Not really feeling lucky with the GE product.

My dishwasher is a little over 3 months old. Sure its quiet. But I use the heat dry always, but it doesnt dry the top bottom or side walls and it stinks and a lot of food is sitting on the strainer and stinks. I have owned a GE dishwasher for over 25 Years and have never had one that was not completely dry at end of cycle. I have to hand dry my silverware. My Model Number is GDF510PSD4SS Serial number is FF736760B. I want a full refund and take back this reject. I will buy something else, I assure you it will not be a GE Product. Sign me, thoroughly disgusted with this Ge product.

Front of door never seems to clean up well and its stainless steel. Occasionally if you use the start delay and a harder pod it can stick and not dispense fully during wash leaving a chunk of it. I love the ability to run half loads. Smartly designed, and easy to use.

The microwave is small enough for 1 person and yet big enough for a family of 4. I feel it cleans up pretty easily also, inside and out. This is also a stainless steel on the outside, that makes it easy to clean.

Bought a new GE over the range microwave in April 2021 and it broke/stopped heating July. They replaced the magnetron in September and its broken again a month later. Same issue and parts are out 2-3 months.

GE Dishwasher GDF520PGJBB - GE has the worst dish washer machines you can ever buy. In fact never buy a GE dishwasher in general. Maybe, GE makes good refrigerators but not dish washers. We bought this from Home Depot and after 6 months it collapsed: Pump broken, soap dispenser broken, panel doesnt work. We had before a Maytag and we used it for over 20 years without any issues. In addition, GE has the worst customer service you can imagine. They are robots, repeat the same thing with a very annoying tone, and are not able to solve a single issue. We were even harassed by GE manager Evan or Aven, useless man, from customer relation who enjoyed seeing how much frustrated we were. This was the only GE appliance we have in our house, and after this unpleasant experience with GE will NEVER buy any GE appliance, even if it was free. GE refused to fix our machine under the pretext that its not installed on Ply Wood. We didnt install the machine ourselves but professional technicians from Home Depot and they also refuse to put PlyWood under the machine as its not a requirement. They do it every day, but looks like GE have Lazy technicians.

New home community - all GE appliances. Model PEB7226SF2SS microwave scorching and catching on fire; GE doesnt stand behind their products and homeowners cant use because products our dangerous (per tech).

The performance of my microwave is great - not fancy but does the job. Its size is fine as it fits just right where we wanted to put it. No complaints. I havent had any problems, therefore I consider it a great value. Plus, I would get the same size if and when I replace it!

This is the second time GE has replaced the unit. The paint is peeling. The microwave is all rusty. The same thing happened to the first one too. It looks disgusting.

We built our house and purchased a NEW close out Advantium Microwave. Due to delays we were not able to get into the house and use the appliance until literally 1 month after the WTY expired. The KEYPAD is shorted. There are a number of these complaints for this microwave - so we arranged for service. $375 dollars later - it was ALMOST working and the repair service determined that a new keyboard would be needed. 5 mos later we are kindly asked to take a refund of our repair bill and forget the whole thing - the part is not available! REALLY?! $2000 for a microwave, and you dont even support it?! Last - LAST time I put trust in GE. SCB2000FBB 03

After writing my review I was in the process of ordering parts for my dishwasher. I had a representative of GE in the parts department connect me to a GE manager. He was very helpful and understanding of the situation and helped resolve the issue with my dishwasher. My issue was with a customer service representative in the recall center when I inquired about anyone else having issues with their dishwasher and if there was a recall on the machine I purchased. Since I did not have an extended warranty the person I was talking to was extremely rude and would not answer any questions or concerns I had with the machine. I was not pleased with the customer service reps attitude and her ability to deal with the public.

I have a 2011 GE Model # JES1456BJ05 microwave and it has been gently used and kept clean. Upon cleaning today I noticed that the top of the inside is blistering and peeling off. Surely this is not safe as it could fall into food, plus they should make them to stand heat, after all this is why they are made for heating things. I called GE who informed me that there is no recall on them so I am pretty much stuck to go out to buy a new one with no help from them. I now read that this has happened to people before. Lesson learned never purchase a GE microwave as they do not stand behind their products when a manufacturing problem develops if you are the first one to call, and beware and ready to buy a new one every 2-3 years. This is all they are made to last!!!!!

We purchased a new GE dishwasher from The Brick, after three washes it leaked all over our new hardwood floors. I called The Brick and they said it was GEs problem. I called GE and they sent out a repairman who told us it was a broken seal on the pump and that this dishwasher is discontinued and he cant get the part. So, that would mean GE would have to replace our washer with a new one! We went back to The Brick and told them we did not want the GE washer and wanted to replace it with another brand as we were within the thirty day guarantee. No apology or well pay for the damage to your floor (floor is warped underneath) and guess what Im still waiting for a call back from GE!! Dont buy anything made by GE. You will regret it! As well, I will not be shopping at The Brick anymore.

Emptying out the dishwasher I purchased in October 2016 is a cause for rage these days. I purchased the dishwasher from BEST BUY. Little did I know, they dont take anything back after 15 days of purchase. They promptly referred me to GE. GE brags about employing its own service technicians yet, when I called to schedule an appointment to fix our Advantium 120 microwave (3 years old), they told me that unless I provided proof of purchase to the technician, he would charge me even for parts under warranty such as the magnetron tube. This in spite of the fact that they have all the purchase information at their fingertips, as I reported when we registered our purchase. They even told me our date of purchase, had our address, email address, etc. They dismissed my suggestion that an email from them to me that I could show the technician should suffice. After 3 years and severe family health issues, I have sadly misplaced the proof of purchase, not realizing that registering the appliance for warranty provided no real benefit; not even proof that I didnt steal the thing. I am saddened that a company of the former stature of GE would stoop so low to avoid a legitimate warranty repair.

The GE dishwasher was in place in the home that we bought in 2017. I like the stainless steel outer color, the noise level is minimal, which I like. The options for different cleaning levels are great. It does a good job at cleaning our dishes. My only negative comment is that it was new when the house was built in 2017. For the past three months it has been stopping repeatedly, multiple times, mid-cycle so that you have to repulse the start button multiple times to finish the cycle. It is barely three years old and seems to already be giving out which means we will have to replace it, probably soon.

Ive used this GE model JES2051DN1BB (manufacturer date August 2008) microwave for ten years now and impressed that it is still working perfectly cause you dont see that much anymore. I usually prefer Maytag products cause my GE washer and dryer did not last for me, but this has seem to be different. Maybe GE should stick to making microwave ovens instead of anything else.

GE GDF520PGDWW 24 white, full console dishwasher - Energy Star. I have had this dishwasher model since December 2014 and it has not drained consistently since the beginning either during the wash cycle or rinse cycle. GE has sent three different repair companies to replace the pump, the control panel, and ultimately the entire dishwasher, yet even the new dishwasher still does not drain consistently. Sometimes it drains and sometimes it doesnt. The GE-certified repairman was again here this morning and is again ordering a new pump. Counting the original pump, the previously replaced pump and the pump in the new unit, this would be the fourth pump. I tried to suggest the problem may not be the pump, but the repairman could not think of another possible issue. I do not recommend purchasing this dishwasher.

Dishwasher is very loud. Even on the longest setting, it doesnt get the dishes clean. The rack system, both top and bottom, isnt set up to handle a lot of items. Very poor quality and design.

I bought the GE microwave from a GE dealer. We were very impressed that it is also a convection oven. It bakes, microwaves and even toasts bread. The oven had not disappointed us any way. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a microwave.

I bought a whole line of GE Monogram appliances for our home in late 2005. These appliances are not even seven years old and I have had the side-by-side fridge repaired several times with no true fix to the problem. They charged me to repair the tank in the fridge that the water line leads out from and into the freezer door. Another repair man said that was never the problem and that the seal on the freezer door is broken from inside the door (a common problem) and freezes up the water line, so no filtered water comes out. They wanted to charge me $800 for a new door with no guarantee that it won’t happen again!My cook-top downdraft has shorted out three times because of a faulty design issue. Water and moisture can get up under the switch, which shorts it out. There were three different repairs for the same issue. Last time the same service man repaired the problem and he was so careless. He got silicone all over the granite counters and switch, which he didnt check before leaving! I called him back to my house before he even got out of the neighborhood. Ultimately, he admitted he screwed up and ordered me yet another switch. Now, just today, my Monogram dishwasher started billowing black smoke. I called GE to find that the unit has been recalled for electrical shock and fires. They said I could have it repaired (if the service man deems it repairable) or it’s $400 towards a new unit. Is this company for real? How many consumers do they have to lose before they wake up? If I werent home my house could have burnt to the ground or, worse, one of our kids or us could have been severely hurt or worse. Do they not realize the liability they would have at that point if the worst would have happened? And they have two phone numbers and my address on file. Why on earth would they not contact me to tell me of the recall? Are they holding their breath and crossing their fingers that nothing too bad will happen? I have a Whirlpool fridge/freezer that is 18 years old and in my garage; nevertheless, it has never given me an ounce of trouble. I will never buy another GE appliance again and will tell anyone I know the same, including the several new home builders I work with. There are too many other companies out there that will back up their quality products. I have called into GE on my latest problems. And if I dont get satisfaction (i.e., brand new units), I have no issues contacting the attorney general. There are forms online that can be downloaded so a formal complaint can be filed. I urge anyone else to do the same.

The little trap door which releases soap stopped opening when the GE top-of-the-line Profile dishwasher was one week past its warranty. Because of the design, all kinds of crud collects under the hinged door, meaning there is ALWAYS an odor unless we get down, hands and knees, to scrub it out. Features are fine -- as long as they work. Having a dishwasher that doesnt even dispense soap and cleanser isnt worth much, limiting us to the automatic feed with shine liquid. Stainless steel outside is impossible to keep clean. There are streaks and blotches within minutes of polishing with Sheela Shine. Suspect it has something to do with the humidity where we live, but it shouldnt happen. I find it strange that GE is perpetually sending me warranty extension offers for my refrigerator (which never fails), but nary an offer for the dishwasher or microwave/convection oven in the Profile line which have each needed repairs twice in the three years since purchase.

We have had our GE Advantium for 4+ years and the paint has started to peel off the inside of the door. We have an extended warranty with Home Depot but they deem this a cosmetic issue which is not covered. The cost to replace the door (part only) is about $260. Not sure self-painting is safe. I read here that we are not alone in GE microwave paint peeling off inside their microwaves, in general. Has there been any recall or calls action against them for this shoddy product? This machine washes glasses sparkling clean with the use of a rinse additive. I like the fact that it has a top, middle and bottom spray blade; it has a moveable silverware bucket; it is very quiet; it provides that you can wash the upper level separate from the lower level. It seems to make use of the maximum amount of space inside. The appearance is sleek and modern. During the first few washes there is a distinct heated rubber smell that emits from the machine; however, this should dissipate completely by the fourth, fifth or sixth wash.

The wheels to roll tray in and out comes off sometimes, other than its fine, average wash cycle. Doesnt really clean heavy food off dishes so have clean first then put in dishwasher.

Dishwasher broke after one year, just after the warranty period. The tech made two trips and couldn’t fix it, parts on back order for going on 4 months. Absolutely a nightmare experience along with rude customer service reps that want blame everyone else.

We bought a new $700+ Stainless Steel dishwasher 10 months ago. It has failed on several occasions, and we have been without a fix or replacement for months. We are forced to have 5 service calls, none of which have fixed it. We have been hand washing for a family of 6 for months now, and GE Consumer Relations is totally unwilling to replace it, but rather continue sending out the same service tech with no new parts or ability to correct the problem. I have a GE dishwasher installed by our builder. It is 6 yrs. old and for 6 yrs. it has been a problem. I already had it serviced in last years recall and now I get another notice. It is located close to our TV viewing area. and is so noisy. I hate to run it when we are watching TV. I would never buy another GE. We are also having problem with our GE double oven. Unit is only 7 years old and not greatly used (only two adults who dont use it much)… Purchased as part of package including GE refrigerator, range and dishwasher (already got rid of refrigerator, as parts kept breaking and unit had other chronic problems). Ahhhh me, here we go again! Its no wonder that the state of business in this country is not as solid as it could be. I purchased your GE dishwasher, Model #GDF540HSF2SS, Serial # ZA703816B, on 01/19/2014 from Lowes Home Centers, 3805 Northern Blvd., Rio Rancho, NM 87124. It was delivered and installed soon after. Soon after that, mid to late July, it began to flood our kitchen. A service call had to be made to replace the tub gaskets. Covered under initial 1 year warranty.Here it is the 5th of November, 2015 and now the unit does not function at all. A service diagnostics call performed today the 6th of November to ascertain its ailment to the tune of $89.00! (No, we didnt purchase the Extended Warranty. My belief has always been that the option to purchase an extended warranty is; 1) an opportunity for the company to make extra money on the sales of a product, and 2) an admission by the manufacturer that the product is probably not well made and will probably break down sometime in the near future!) I guess that future is here for this product! It almost lasted 2 YEARS!! Deplorable! The last dishwasher I had was almost 20 years old and the only service to it was to replace a water hose (which I did myself). Diagnostics proved that the electronic motherboard failed!In addition to the inconvenience and the $89.00, Id be willing to bet that the replacement part for this unit will cost 1/2 of the original purchase price of $599.00! AND I WAS CORRECT; the replacement board will cost $269.00 to replace (part and labor)!!! What a rip-off! I will never purchase another GE product as long as I live! I like the look of the oven but it took 3 shots to get it right. I had some bad luck with 2 out of 3. It seems the first 2 were damaged. I know many people would have given up but I owned one before this one and the only reason I gave it up was remodeling. The oven worked fine after 5 years. I guess I gambled on past performance and it still paid off. But I am really not sure about the door sometimes because it is a big door and it can seem tinnee and cheap at times. The overall performance is good and the looks are what I was looking for.

We bought this GE Dishwasher through JC Penney with a 3 yr extended warranty in Dec 2017 thank goodness. I am on my 3 round of having the mother board and the heater replaced since I got this machine. This last tech came as a 2nd opinion for my claim that this machine has not worked more than it works. All we would do is load the machine, go to turn it on and out it goes. The warranty people sent out a GE Tech who ordered a new board and fuser kit and came to put it in. Same issue, he said it was my hard wiring and I should have a electrician look at it. 200.00 later not the hard wiring. It is a pin hole in the heater coil that this last tech found. New heater now on order. My faith that this will fix the problem is waning. After this my warranty will be up and I will Never buy a GE appliance again. Not worth the money.

I wish I could rate this dishwasher ZERO stars. I bought my first GE cafe series approximately 6 months ago and after the first week, there were three separate, unrelated problems. I called GE repair and the serviceman came out and said he fixed all the problems. He did not. I contacted the store where I bought it, and after contacted GE directly was able to get a brand new one. After two months, problems started again. Once again the repairman came out. Long story short - 2 months, and three sick days later (on my part) dishwasher is still not cleaning dishes thoroughly. I purchased a GDF520PGJ dishwasher from Home Depot and it still doesnt work. Home Depot has no return policy and G.E. has been unable to resolve. I have written to GE Appliances Consumer Relations for a replacement but pending another service call. Its unfortunate that there is no recourse with Home Depot as was advised that I need to work with GE for the first year warranty yet my dishwasher hasnt worked for the past month. Buyer beware.

We renovated our kitchen with all new GE Profile appliances in 2017 before moving into our new house in 2018. Nov 1, 2018 our GE Profile stopped working and showed a leak message. We called GE who referred us to A&E Factory Service. The repairman arrived Nov 6 and proceeded to not be able to pulled the dishwasher out and tell me the list of things he wont do because of policy. Without inspecting the dishwasher but looking at his computer with the list of things that could be wrong, he said he ordered two parts and would return on Nov 23. Nov 23 came and no repairman. Calls were placed to GE Parts and Service who expressed their disappointment over the no show then proceeded to say that parts would not arrive before Nov 30 and that one of the parts was on back order. Once the parts came then another repair appt could be made. I will have been without a dishwasher for over a month with no alternative recourse. Service response and A&E Factory Service is less than poor.

My GE microwave works perfectly for microwaving and baking. It is also a convection oven and it works as well for baking as the microwave component does for microwaving. It is roomy and accommodating. Ive had the microwave for 10 years and have never had a problem with it.

I bought a GE dishwasher model #GDF570SSJSS from Sears. It was delivered on Thursday, installed Friday (by myself and a daughter) and the first test run produced nasty, dirty dishes. It took 2 hours and 10 minutes for it to declare that the cycle was finished and the dishes were clean. Fortunately I did not opt for the drying cycle. Or else the nasty crud would have been baked on. I called GE service and they scheduled a Monday service call. Monday, a very nice man hooked the unit up to his computer and found nothing wrong. He then placed a plexiglass door on the unit so he could watch the cycle. He found that the connection to the upper arm was not attached. He snapped it into place and declared that it was fixed.While I watched through the plexiglass door I was appalled that the reason that the GE dishwashers are so quiet is that the washing spray is extremely gentle. The technician seemed very proud of how quiet the units are. I told him that I could get my dishes cleaner if I spread them on the lawn and used a water hose sprayer. He was not amused. I chatted with him and asked several questions and learned some interesting facts. The lower and upper spray arms and the top rain action do not all happen at once. First the lower arm sprays, the machine pauses, then the upper arm sprays, the machine pauses, then the top rain action happens. This cycles over and over until the machine thinks the dishes are clean. I asked why there wasnt a hurricane inside the unit scrubbing my dishes? He said that the motor is a DC motor, I asked how many volts, he said 12.After he left I filled the machine up with dishes I had saved over the weekend for the test. The machine ran for 2 hours + (I forgot to write down the start time). The end result was nasty, dirty dishes that I washed in the sink afterward. So the new dishwasher looks just like the old dishwasher but let me tell you, she is not happy at having the worthless piece of junk sitting nearby and doing nothing while she is sweating over a sink full of dishes. When Im not quite so angry in a few days I will have a conversation with Sears to try to resolve this.

We purchased a black over the stove microwave from GE, the oven has great preset buttons and it extremely easy to use. It looks sleek and works great. The only issue we have had was a few months after purchase we tried to change the bulb for one of the lights and the entire mechanism crumbled and fell out so we only have one light now over the stove. Disappointing but everything else works great.

I purchased all the kitchen appliances. All GE brands. The microwave after almost 3 years the white paint from inside start peeling. When I called GE directly, received no help at all. They wanted to replace the microwave and the stove for over $2400. I can buy the full set from Best Buy for almost $2300 all in Samsung brand. Also, this related to paint issue. Maybe the paint is a very low quality or something related to lead-paint. Imagine you are warming up the food and know nothing about the paint is peeling, and each time you have small pieces in your food. I purchased a GE microwave just a year ago. Ive had a few problems with it like the round glass plate that you cook food on cracking in half twice when the microwave wasnt even in use, and the control panel going stupid... requiring me to unplug it to get it back on track. The worst part is I purchased an entire kitchen work of GE appliances at the same time and Ive already had two service visits on the dishwasher.GE customer service is the worst! When I call they just keep repeating themselves and they never listen to what Im telling them. Today was the worst yet... I got this woman on the phone and she just kept telling me the microwave was not in warranty any longer as of last month. She also told me she only has two appliances listed on my account (no range or refrigerator) when they were registered at the same time as the other appliances and they have sold me filters for the refrigerator several times. All I can tell people is if you are considering buying GE appliances... DONT! They SUCK!

Purchased my first GE dishwasher 3 -4 years ago, it died, one month before the warranty ran out, they sent a repairman at no charge, acted like he did not know what he was doing, mumbled something about a part and left saying they would return with a part 2 weeks later he comes back and says that they cannot fix it and they sent me a replacement dishwasher free of charge, 13 months later and it died, So I bought a more expensive GE dishwasher thinking it would last, wrong, 15 months later and its dead, went to parts select and troubleshooted it, ordered all parts recommended to fix the issue and its still dead, these parts cost me 300, so I contacted GE to see what they had to say, no help at all except to only charge me for 50% of parts, I have to pay for house call and labor and installation, gee what a deal NOT bottom line, GE dishwashers are junk, dont buy them.

When we bought our house we upgraded our GE appliances to stainless steel. I had no problems with the dishwasher until a few days ago. Then it stopped working completely. As with most of the complaints I have read the control panel was not working. We took the front door apart just to see if the dishwasher was worth salvaging or should we buy a new one. A screw was NEVER installed on the vent assembly to hold it in place. The entire inside if the door was corroded by steam and/or water. So every wash slowly degrading the electronics. 18 months, 6 months past its warranty where now its out of their hands and you can pay $89 to have someone just look at it. We were lucky it just broke because this hidden mistake on their part could have not only caused a short circuit but a fire. Like so many of the other stories. I will not buy GE again.

Purchased the Maytag MDB7749SBM stainless steel dishwasher in December 2013. The dishwasher and install totaled $700, which for that price and with Maytags past reputation, I wrongly assumed that the dishwasher would last a long time. In May 2016, slightly over 2 years, the dishwasher started having issues with the control panel. The control lock would randomly activate. I would have to reset the circuit breaker daily, leaving it off for around 10 minutes. Even with trying to go through all the steps to resolve the issue, resetting it from the circuit breaker, sequence on the control panel, the dishwasher wouldnt work. I called Maytag and after 40 minutes on hold, they finally answered. They wanted $89 for a service call and for the $143 part, plus labor. Might as well just replace it with another brand like GE, or Samsung.

The microwave has done its job for the last 15 years and is still going strong. It isnt perfect, but it serves me well. The microwave is fine, but I am no longer a fan of GE products. The design of their stove makes it difficult to clean. I had to pick their dishwasher because it was the only one with the right dimensions. It does a terrible job cleaning the dishes.

I purchased a GE Microwave Oven model # JES1139WL03 in late May of 2010. In early July, the paint started coming off the inside of the door when I wiped it with a damp dishcloth. I called Lowes, where I had purchased it, but was told that their warranty was only 30 days. I called GEs Consumer Support line and was told that for $65, I could ship the microwave to a repair center who would determine whether the machine could be repainted or would need to be replaced. I was told that either would require me to pay for it, since the machine still worked and peeling paint was not considered to be a warranty item. I guess if it catches fire, then they might warranty it.

I have had this dishwasher for less than a year and it doesnt work. The soap dispenser does not always open or it opens but the soap is not dispensed and just dribbles down the inside of the door. I have called in multiple trouble tickets. They have replaced the computer and the dispenser and have ordered another new computer and dispenser because the problem hasnt stopped. When I called GE to complain that I have had the unit repaired too many times and would like a replacement, they said if it is reparable, they will not replace it. I explained that it is not reparable if they fix it and it breaks again. This past Saturday, the tech told me that I need to run my hot water for ten minutes prior to running the dishwasher and that I should move the silverware caddy from its current location in the front (where it is supposed to go) to the back, taking up space in the rather small tub so I have less room for dishes, which, by the way have to be thoroughly rinsed before washing them. I explained to GE that if I have to jerry-rig the unit to make it work, then it is not reparable. Would they say it was okay if the latch didnt stay closed and I could just put duct tape on it to make it stay shut? If the product does not work as designed, and when the instructions that are provided with the dishwasher are followed and it does not work, it is not reparable. They refuse to replace it and while they did extend my warranty, there will come a time when that warranty is up and it will start to cost us money for all the repairs. It is costing GE more money to keep sending out techs and re-replacing parts than it would to just replace the relatively inexpensive dishwasher. Would I recommend this dishwasher to a friend? I would not recommend this dishwasher to an enemy! DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!!

I purchased a microwave in Oct 2010. It went blank and nothing works. I checked to see if its receiving power. The power is okay. I purchased the microwave, fridge and stove at the same time. I have a three-year-old over the stove microwave Model JWM1540DN1WW. The message Keypad shorted - Service may be needed appeared on the screen and no buttons are responding to any commands. I called GE and was told it would cost $89 plus parts and labor to have a technician come and look at it. The same message appeared two months ago and a few hours later, the microwave started working by itself after being unplugged a few times. This time, it is not working. I will buy a different brand rather than pay money to fix this one. Anyone had the same problem?

GE Profile Model PDW9980L00SS about 5 years old overheated and melted the bottom water sprayer into the element along with anything plastic in the dishwasher at the time. Grateful my husband was up late that night, otherwise, it would have caught on fire. It was not shutting off, had been on about 3.5 hours when it was discovered.

Our GE microwave/convection oven model number JES1290SK01 is making grinding noises and has caught fire once on the side panel. We have owned this microwave for only 4 years. It was a terrible investment. No wonder Obummer had to bail them out. That is the quality the unions are currently producing. It’s sad really...

My GE microwave oven died after 4 years. And my GE washer died after 5 years. Never ever buy a GE appliance. The market agrees, because their quality issues might be the reason the company has not been able to sell their appliance division for several years now.

I received a recall on my original wall oven with microwave unit, and was only going to receive financial help from GE, if I replaced it with the same unit model JTP90. The unit was only 3 years old at the time. I purchased the new model, which cost $1,200.00, and received a check from GE for $600.00 for the recall, which is already a rip off in my opinion. I had the new unit for 14 months, when the microwave stopped working completely, with no power whatsoever. I thought it had blown a fuse. I took it to the repair center, and they tell me the diode, capacitor, and fuse have all failed. $200 later, it can be fixed, but they have no idea why all three went out at the same time. I, however, do know, GE just makes junk! I will never purchase another GE appliance. Just a side note, my 3 year old dishwasher was also recalled, and it was $600 to replace it with the same model. They sent me a check for $300. It sounds like GE has a good thing going. Make a piece of junk and recall it a few years later, and only give the customer half of the cost to replace it, and only if they buy another GE product! Wow!

My 4-month old dishwasher started to leak so I called GE to repair since it is still under warranty. Technician said there was a superfluous piece on the gasket which he removed. Dishwasher was fine for about 2 cycles when it started to leak again. As GE do not have a weekend service I had to take a second half day off work. Different technician said the gasket was not pushed in correctly and I should check it each time before running it. Shouldnt this be part of the design - a gasket that stays put?! Ran the dishwasher. Water all over the floor. The new floor that is getting ruined by this clearly faulty appliance.

I purchased a GE dishwasher on March 15th 2018... The first dishwasher I received on March 23rd was obviously broken. The dishwasher setting piece was completely broken off and the sides were dented and looked like it had been dropped. Ok. The delivery guys immediately called it in and reordered another one for me. A week later the second dishwasher came, it looked fine from the outside so I signed for it. Once I opened it I saw that the top rack was missing wheels and the second shelf wasnt even connected to the dishwasher. I called and a week later they came and got it and left a new one. I asked the delivery guys to unpackage it and look inside. Immediately the top arm cycle fell off and the HE symbol at the bottom popped out. They assured me that was normal... When the install guy arrived a week later he said he thought everything looked ok. He ran a cycle, then left. Before he was out of my driveway the cycle arm/water sprayer fell off and water sprayed everywhere... I brought the piece into Home Depot and they told me it was broken (duh) and they would order a new one. NO. This was going to be the fourth time I will be taking off work to deal with this dishwasher! GE is absolutely gone down. The products being produced are either being sabotaged by the employees from the Ohio plant, who are all losing their jobs because the plant is about to get shut down and is going to be moved to Mexico or GE is absolutely horrible at business, design and producing quality appliances.Regardless, I will NEVER purchase a GE product again and would never recommend to anyone to purchase a GE appliance! I am going to get a refund and insist compensation and inconvenience fees! I had to take off work 4 Times, had to cancel plumbers 3 times (still was charged). I lost money from my work, time from life and a month without a dishwasher. Also, a month with a broken one sitting in my living room because they wouldnt come get the 2nd and 3rd broken dishwashers until a I ordered another one and had that one delivered before they got the broke one(s) out of my house. I had broken dishwashers sitting in my living room for a month. Easter was quite embarrassing with an appliance next to the table to say the least. DO NOT PURCHASE GE APPLIANCES!!!

My dishwasher came with the home when we purchased it, and we did not see any good reason to replace it. It is a standard model, with a nice stainless steel interior. We have had no problems with it and plan to use it until it fails. I would like to have the upgrade model in a new home. This one does a good job washing the dishes.

I have had a few cheap microwaves but at this point in my life I wanted to buy a good quality microwave that would last. Well I bought a 200 dollar GE microwave in February. 3 months later it went out on me. I did hard and soft reset numerous times with no success. They offered me a discounted check to replace it and it would take 4-6s weeks to receive. Instead we returned to place of purchase and they gave us a floor model to replace it. All was well for 2 months when lo and behold this one started doing the same thing. No amount of resetting would make it run. It went out cooking corn on the cob. Why is this so hard to keep running? Their response this time was a goodwill rebate certificate to purchase only a GE microwave. Why in heavens name would I want another one? It only lasts a couple of months and who is to say the 3rd replacement will not be the same.

Microwave is a 2001 and works just fine. There are a couple of things that could be better and that’s the exhaust and the lighting outside of microwave. Possibly could be more energy efficient but are bigger models built that way?

GE is a proven brand and its quality for reliability. When I was shopping for one I went with a known brand. Planning to upgrade my kitchen and will be shopping for a countertop microwave. The over-the-range microwave has stood up 15 years of use. Happy with purchase and performance. Will purchase GE brands in the future.
