Shortly after purchasing the $4K refrigerator from a local company, the ice
Shortly after purchasing the $4K refrigerator from a local company, the ice maker stopped working. After talking to another appliance shop, I was informed that the other store would not sell the model sold to us since there was a known defect with a control board. Sure enough after contacting the store we purchased the fridge from and Electrolux, a technician serviced our unit but warned us with all the electronics now in these machines, there would increasing problems. We have a Kenmore 22 in the garage that has worked flawlessly since 1986. So two months ago I get a glass of crushed ice for a drink, and just before downing the last bit of the drink, I spy a large screw at the bottom of the glass. Thankfully I saw it before swallowing it. It came from the front control arm of the ice maker and supports a plastic bushing which acts as a support so the ice maker water tray can go through its cycle of accepting water, passing back to the steel chilled protrusions that dip into the ice, heating up and then tilting to release the ice into the ice container below which feeds to the front dispenser. I re-installed the screw, but the ice maker refuses to completely cycle up the right side of the upper department and stops just shy of the little red switch and simply churns in an endless motor spasm. Does anyone know if there are diagnostic tests you can initiate from the front control panel to actually see where the problem is with the door open?

I called your 1-800-265-8352 number because the dryer I just purchased on December 20, 2021 and tried using for the first time yesterday (there was a delay in using the machines because a plumber was required to hook up the washing machine due to where the drain is in our house) and I discovered that there is no heat in the dryer and its not drying my clothes. I called Canadian Appliance store where I purchased the washer/dryer and they told me to call the number I mentioned. I called, waited 20+ minutes to talk to someone and when they answered there was so much static on the line it was difficult to hear. I have been on the phone for over 2 hours today. I have given the serial number, my name and address multiple times. At first the representative told me it was no longer under warranty, now hes trying to create an account and has given me an account number. Needless to say, this is extremely disappointing customer service. Apparently, a technician will be calling me tomorrow to arrange a time to come, however, given the questionable service so far and extremely poor audible quality I have no confidence that I will actually hear from someone. I tried emailing Electrolux.ca but my email was denied?! There does not seem to be a way of communicating with anyone from customer service. I tried calling again to verify an account had been created and that someone would be calling me tomorrow and that person disconnected the call. I tried calling again to verify and all 3 times it was almost impossible to hear the person on the line because of static and echo. My experience is not good. What are you willing to do to save rectify this?

We redid our kitchen on 2012, installing a full suite of Electrolux product
We redid our kitchen on 2012, installing a full suite of Electrolux products. The refrigerator was an odd size, so we spend a fair amount of money building cabinetry around it to make it fit. The refrigerator worked for about four and a half years and then needed the computer replaced. Since then, there have been three additional repairs needed, replacing the fan, heating coil and thermostat. The last repair was two months ago. We have spend approx. $1,200 on these repairs. The unit is now not working again. I called Electrolux to explain the situation and ask if they would be willing to assist us with the purchase of a new refrigerator, given the issues with this one. I really dont want a new one, but dont want to incur the cabinetry bills for another refrigerator as I dont know that I can find one of the same size. They said they were not willing to offer any assistance. Their products are expensive, dont last and they dont stand behind it. All good reasons to never buy any of their products.

I purchased a refrigerator from home depot on the 23rd and it was delivered
I purchased a refrigerator from home depot on the 23rd and it was delivered to me on March 2. Before the delivery guy brought the fridge in he informed me that the fridge was dented and if I wanted a new one I would have to wait another week without a fridge and with a small child that was out of the question. So I decided to call Electrolux to see if I could be compensated for the fridge. I talked with ** and she told me without pictures I could have $40 off the fridge, I took pictures of both sides of the fridge and did not hear back from her. I called the next day and spoke with ** and he said I guess we can give you $60 off. I was upset with the rude comment and said that I was still unhappy and he said well what are you expecting? I was not expecting anything but would have liked to be acknowledged that what I bought was not what I received. He told me he would talk to a manager and call me back the next day, I called and spoke with him again and he said I guess we can give you the $100 off. I was very upset by the way I was being treated and said that I would just prefer to have a new fridge sent since that is what I paid for. His response was oh so now youve changed your mind, we will deliver, then hung up on me. I got no apology for the situation or any details about when the new fridge would be delivered. I am astounded by the horrible customer service this company hires. I called back after being rudely hung up on and he refused to pass me on to a manager. I called back several times after this trying to speak with a manager and not one person would help me. It is now March 20 and after going to home depot in person I got the first apology for my situation and the man working there was amazing and threatened to call head office if my issue was not resolved. Turns out ** did not give my phone number to the delivery company. Appalling, dont use this company, its not worth it

Electrolux customer service is terrible. The Electrolux refrigerator we bought malfunctioned shortly after it was installed. They’ve failed to promptly repair it and their customer service people have hung up on us, lied, kept us on hold for numerous hours - all while insisting they are doing a great job. Don’t believe them. Nothing fixed and no end date in sight.

After four months the refrigerator broke. They made me wait two weeks before even offering a loan fridge. I had to call them and spend hours on the phone to come up with any solution (other than not having a fridge). They asked me to go without a fridge for four months because the part they needed was on back order. Bad products + bad service = really really bad company.

We remodeled our kitchen several years ago and replaced our dishwasher, refrigerator and slide-in range/oven with Electrolux appliances. All three have required significant repairs or replacement. The dishwasher has failed twice and has “irreparable problem”. The wire that holds the door open in various position is connected to a molded plastic fitting in the frame. The fitting breaks off the molded plastic frame. The machine is build on and that’s that’s, you need a new dishwasher. After two years of service we received a $200. Credit toward our next $1,000+ machine. The fancy range we bought had a valve fail and that was $400. And the ice maker failed in the fridge. That was $350 for half an ice maker that now sounds like it’s grinding up glaciers. No more Electrolux for us!

We purchased - largely for being identical in appearance - the Electrolux dishwasher, oven, and microwave set for a remodeled kitchen. Heres my experience with all three, plus other info. Dishwasher 1: Simply did not clean dishes. Three warranty service calls did not fix. Replaced with the identical Electrolux dishwasher. Dishwasher 2 (replacement): Leaked water onto the kitchen floor, and made an amazingly loud and unacceptable noise in operation. Two warranty service calls did not fix the leak and could not diagnose the noise. Lowes took it back and we replaced it with a now out-of-place looking but functional Kitchenaid.Oven: Several of the blue bars on the lighted timer/temperature indicators are not fully functional at one year old (off warranty), so have to guess at temperatures and time. Very expensive to repair. Went through one temp. probe warranty repair (it was not connected internally at the factory). Troubleshooted and replaced a faulty second probe. The oven has twice stopped functioning, but I was able to get it operational by rebooting it (shutting off the appliance breakers, then turning them back on). Note: At the same time, my son, who lives 500 miles away, also bought the same type Electrolux oven, and he also has experienced the loss of some of the blue bars that constitute the numbers needed for time and temperature reading.Microwave: Many of the blue bars that constitute the numbers for time are not functional. Try operating a microwave without fully functional numbers for time, etc. The cost of the repair (replacement of the electronics is almost half the cost of an entire new unit. We limp along as is because of our attempt to match the appliances in the kitchen, and we are not about to replace with the identical Electrolux. Note: My son bought the identical microwave and he has the same problems. These things tell me that Electrolux shipped an entire batch of ovens and microwaves across the US with faulty lighted numbers. The shipping of two out-of-box failure dishwashers is almost unbelievable. I dont know how a company can survive with such a record of failures across three product lines.

I purchased the Electrolux 32 Built in Freezer and Fridge in June 2016... after remodeling my kitchen and buying all new appliances. I decided to spend a little more for the built in freezer/fridge... what a big mistake... HUGE!! After 3 weeks, my Built in Freezer quit working. I contacted Electrolux and they sent a technician out 5 days later. The technician told us he would contact Electrolux. After waiting over almost two weeks the repairman came back out with what he thought was a fix. Unfortunately, for us, it caused the freezer to climb temperatures that were worse than before. We called Electrolux again, and they sent the same company back out to do the repair. Once again... that did not work. Once again, I contacted Electrolux. They sent out the repairman again, it was fixed by the technician who said, Im pretty sure this fixed it. Sadly, it failed again. So once again, I called. It was fixed again and worked for almost 2 months... only to find that again, I had soft ice cream and meats. Once again, I call and I am not happy. After all this and being told over and over (as I now find this seems typical for their customer service) is the repairman must deem the repair unrepairable in order for them to replace the appliance. Once I finally had another technician to my home, he indeed said that the repair was deemed unrepairable, and told Electrolux the same.Once I called Electrolux back and told them this, they said even though he deemed it unrepairable, our IT guy did not, so we are requiring him to repair it. So once again, I have gotten the run around from Electrolux. They came and repaired it now 5 times. (I called them today so it will be 6.) I have lost frozen goods, twice and now... I will end up losing frozen foods again... because its currently not working. My freezer is now only 3 months old. This is unbelievable to me. I based my decision on what my appliance company said about their refrigerator/freezer and sadly, I am hugely disappointed. I have never, ever had an experience this awful. As a matter of fact, I have never, ever written a complaint. Unfortunately, I had to write my experience to make sure the next buyer was savvy enough to find these reviews helpful with their next decision. I will never ever buy a product that has the name Electrolux on it after this experience.

I purchased what I thought was a high quality front loading washer and dryer from Electrolux in 2014. In only two and a half years, the dryer has stopped working. The moisture sensor completely just fell off on its own, and I am beyond warranty. Ive had to take days off from work to have the item inspected, and to order a new part. It isnt cheap either. This is a very disappointing product that was not made very well.

July 2010 saw purchase of new refrigerator, Electrolux, who happens to be one of two major providers of appliances in this country. Received a one year warranty (as long as I was willing to pay for the authorized serviceman to come verify my claim of what was wrong with it because only the parts themselves were free). Eight months after owning it the door handle broke off upon opening it. Normal wear and tear with two adults and zero children. It was covered under warranty. Eight months after that the same thing happened with the door handle breaking off in my hand. No coverage as warranty expired. That takes us up to today, in 2016. FIVE YEARS and a couple months... How long should a consumer expect to be able to get use of an appliance such as a fridge? The one we replaced was 22 years old and still running, but I wanted energy efficient appliances. Bad decision! They sure dont make them solid like that anymore... At least not mine.So today, spring cleaning, I discovered that the left and right sides both are covered in little hairline cracks, all over the sides. Almost looks like what would happen if something got too hot then too cold or vice versa... I dont have any idea how this kind of fractures on the inside of the fridge could happen. Unless it is because of manufacturers defective product. Something about the material they used is just not up to par for what is needed in a fridge. Thats my first guess. But of course there is zero warranty and the phone rep would not even discuss possibilities of the company taking responsibility for defective products. I will be watching close though, to see if there is ever a recall on them. It wont be able to be used for very much longer. Five years on a fridge? Is that supposed to be the new standards we are going to be forced into dealing with from one of two of the major providers of appliances in the United States? I sure hope not. They are too expensive and really too heavy to replace every five years. Wow, will the land fills be filling up then, huh.

I remodeled my kitchen and purchased both an Electrolux double oven and refrigerator in Sept 2014. We started using the oven in Dec of 2014 due to remodeling timeline. After the first oven cleaning, we had to have it repaired as one of the ovens stopped working. A common problem according to the repairman. They actually had a kit to fix it. Needed to put some kind of washer on the thermostat so it would not happen again. My oven even today runs hotter than set. We need to place a cookie sheet on the lower rack to prevent burning. Now just slightly over the 12 month warranty the welding on one of the glide oven racks did not hold and has now separated. I was very disappointed with customer service and Electrolux that they do not stand behind the oven rack and will not replace. According to the supervisor at Electrolux, an oven rack is not a functioning part and therefore is not replaceable.

My husband and I purchased an Electrolux refrigerator from Lowes in March of 2017. In May of 2017 we moved into our new home that was just built. In August, 2017, I came home to water in my kitchen that was coming thru the ceiling of my finished basement. A repairman was sent out to replace a part. In September, 2017, I was standing at my kitchen sink and the water dispenser just came on. Thankfully I was home to shut off the water. The repairman asked me to videotape it the next time it happened to document it! Another part was ordered and replaced.About 10 days ago (October, 2018), I woke up early to get a glass of water and found myself standing in water and water again coming thru the basement ceiling. Lowes stated I was out of warranty and to contact Electrolux directly, which I did. This morning a 3rd repairman came out and again stated a part needed to be replaced. I requested Electrolux replace this obvious lemon of a refrigerator but they will not. They can only offer me an extended warranty thru March 2019. I have no confidence in this product. I will not be able to leave my house or go to bed any night for fear that this will happen a 4th time. How many times does this product have to ruin my home before it will be replaced? Do not buy model E123CS35KS4A if you value your home. Shame on Electrolux for not standing by their product.

I purchased a refrigerator in October 2017 and by January 2018 it completely stopped staying cold. A servicer was scheduled to come out within 2 weeks so all of my food went bad. A $50 good gesture gift card was mailed out to a short time later. A few months later the exact same thing happened and I lost all of my food again. If that was not enough, in September 2018, my refrigerator stopped staying cold AGAIN and AGAIN I lost all of my food. This issue was eventually elevated to the corporate supervisors, in which I had the displeasure of speaking to Shanell out of Augusta, GA. She was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills. She stated that these refrigerators are MAN MADE and thats what happens sometimes. At this time, I have been advised itll be roughly a week before anyone can come out to diagnose the issue and apparently theres only one technician in my area and he only does service work on Wednesdays. I will never, ever, purchase another Electrolux product. Ive never had this many issues with an appliance company at all. Buyers beware!

I want everyone to know that these folks do not stand by their product even
I want everyone to know that these folks do not stand by their product even when you have paid extended warranty since 2011. They are telling me I have to live with ice buildup in the top front of the freezer and across the top and left side of the door. WHY. They have set me up with 2 service companies (GURU from Bonifay, FL). Tried 2 weeks and they were a no show. The last one was JC Appliance Dothan, AL Called twice and text them twice and they confirmed the appt Electrolux was suppose to have made nor did they answer the call when they tried to call them themselves. So they set me up with AL POWER in between those two starting first part of December, came back end of December and 2 weeks later came back and I still I have. Company says, There is nothing we can do. It is due to heat and humidity. BUT I have had this freezer since 2011 and have had 8 years of all SEASON and it just started building up last year. AND if that is it why is only in those spots and not the entire freezer. I have contacted BBB and they have contacted the company but all Electrolux had to do was let them know they contacted me NOT helping to fix the issue. I have been dealing with this since Nov 11, 2018. I pay them to have good service companies that know what they are doing and show up. Why do I have to accept an unacceptable results. They cant prove its humidity and I cant prove it isnt EXCEPT LAST YEAR WAS NOT THE FIRST YEAR WE HAVE HAD HUMIDITY. We are in the south, we always have humidity. I pray the good Lord with help me find someone that can point me into the direction where I can get help. BBB suggested contacting Atty General which I did (hope I did it right) but with the recent shutdown doubt I will hear anything. I will NEVER buy another product from them. They just dont care. I wished I could convey to everyone just how little they do care.

Purchase Electrolux French door refrigerator 3 years ago and have had nothing but problems on mostly all of the parts of the refrigerator. Last summer, we chose the appliances to remodel our kitchen and replaced our 10-year-old $1,500 Kenmore refrigerator with a $3,000 Electrolux stainless one. It was delivered in September... but wait, it was a different model. When we questioned the dealer, he told us that Electrolux had discontinued the model we ordered and that the one we had received was the replacement. However, there were a few small catches. It was all stainless like the one we had ordered, the inside was organized differently and the freezer had two drawers rather than three, not to mention the quality seemed to be significantly worse. But the dealer and Electrolux tried to tell us it was an equal replacement... right. There didnt seem to be a lot of options at the point so we settled with a far too small compensation. The dealer (Standards of Excellence in Concord, CA) came out and installed it in October. When they left, the doors werent even. In February, the flap on the French doors was jamming when we closed the fridge, so we called a service company. They came out, ordered the part and two weeks later, replaced the flap and tried to align the doors (not completely) and left. A few months later, the flap (mullion) failed again and I called a different service company. They came out, ordered the part, came back with the part, and spent a lot longer aligning both the mullion and the doors and left. The doors now seem to be fixed although they arent quite even. However, about a month ago, the ice maker stopped delivering cubes. It only gave out crushed ice and the display was giving some strange messages once in a while. The service guy came out again and said that the solenoid for the ice maker had gone bad, had dropped down and had fried one or two of the circuit boards. He replaced the solenoid but had to order the boards. Evidently, the fried boards were causing the computers to go nuts and provide random messages on the displays (and to the diagnostics he was trying to use). As of Monday, everything seems to be fixed... for the moment. But I have no confidence they will stay fixed. This morning, I called Electrolux to complain; their suggestion was to pay for an extended warranty. I absolutely hate the idea of giving Electrolux another cent for their poor quality product. My 10 year old Kenmore is happily humming away, working perfectly in the garage. I wish I could make it stainless.

6 Appliances, 12 problems, expensive solutions: We built this new home about 5 years ago. Its just the two of us and our dog. In the past 5 years we use the home about 7 months of the year. Every single appliance has had problems, too many to outline. Some of the problems Electrolux has no fix for other than expensive parts to fix parts that they knew did not work. More problems are on the way, as our microwave has stopped rotating and our freezer is making a funny noise as well as the fan in the convection oven is making sounds that it did not make before. These are all top of the line appliances that should last more than a couple of years of use. However Electrolux does not agree or care. I am going to start a class action lawsuit in Canada against them, my email is **. Write me if you would like to join in.

We have a very big Electrolux fridge at our parents' house. We've had about 3 different refrigerators in the past 25 years and hands down it's the best we've ever had. The freezer is so cold that it takes less than an hour and a half for tap water to become ice. It's even colder than my ex's heart, LOL. The fridge itself is also very spacious. We never run out of space for food considering the fact that my mom has a tendency to hoard food in the ref for weeks. Everything stays nice and fresh when it's put inside our Electrolux fridge. Being that Electrolux is not really a popular refrigerator brand here (or anywhere I think), I would definitely recommend others to give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

Explained how many tries before it happens no more than 3. I am afraid it is BS. I am surprised that nothing happens. I am going to record the whole conversation and if they do not have same info in the new contract I will have proof. So over it. Watch out. Spent way too much to be treated like that.

Hi. I would never ever recommend to buy products from them. I had the worst experience with them by purchasing Frigidaire washer dryer unit. Had motherboard problems after 2 weeks of purchase. Called customer care atleast 10 times and no one is bothered and they just keep saying we have ordered parts and waiting and waiting... To put it short I did a BIG mistake buying frigidiare product. Never ever buy their products.

We bought a $3700 refrigerator for our new home, the ice makers kept breaking. I was told I would get a $500 rebate from Electrolux if I bought this model! At Northern Appliance in Braintree is where I was told this and it was on the card on the Refrigerator. I got a service contract for 4 years! Ice maker defects computers replaced. After the first refrigerator I had only 1 and 1/2 years the ice makers died, it was covered by the contract, this was top of the line. After Electrolux told me it was being replaced I called a company to take it away. They said they kept it for themselves. I got the replacement and it was a used or way less value Refrigerator. I called. They said that is what I get! If you can believe it 2 more defective refrigerators and a quote a few service calls from Apollo appliance Brockton Ma. They are very good! The one I have now the ice maker is still broken. I was told the motor is too close to the ice maker, melts it in the back and it breaks. This is unacceptable for an expensive refrigerator. Not sure what I should do if this one fails! Thanks you Jan

I Bought my Electrolux Washer and Dryer in 2010, but have an Extended Service Warranty. So for a long time Ive noticed black mold building up under and around Draw where you place bleach and liquid soap, but I would take out and clean and dry off. When stated by the machine I would remove detergent cup, put one Cup of Bleach and run CLEAN CYCLE. This is done to remove and clean any mold that might build up Im guessing. But this is not occurring. Smell still came out of machine and I would leave door open and run cleaning cycle more often and also wipe down door and inside of machine of any liquid along with soap dispenser drawer. My great Nieces have been getting sick chest, throat, and nose during the spring and summer months. Then my Son and I got bad rashes which needed medical attention. So I looked at the machine trying to figure out if that was the cause of Rashes and how to get rid of this smell. I got a flash light and looked into the OPENING where the Detergent Draw goes into and far back I see black build up way back on all sides except bottom. This is NOT NORMAL... I contacted Electrolux to inform them to see. Maybe there is something they are doing or have done or recall to correct these issues but... all they tell me is to reference in manual and wipe down a wet areas which I do detergent drawers, I even go as far as drying washing area door, drum and rubber molding inside which makes door waterproof. I hope they read this and come up with a better solution then wipe down drawers, the area Im talking about cant be reached to wipe down. I have posted a picture here. RUNNING the CLEANING CYCLE DOES nothing to help this situation and needs to be corrected.

Side by side refrigerator has had ice maker repaired at least 5 times. Service tech said it was junk when it was new. Same with the oven. I will pitch in with a control panel complaint too. I had to replace panels or boards, and the clock control. It cost me about $1,000.00 to get it sorted. This on a range less than 4 years old. We expected it to last at least 8 years. And it was expensive. The repair folks indicated they see a lot of condensation problems. Electrolux hasnt got a handle on this. I contacted Electrolux and they initially seemed helpful, but they were just stringing me along. They said they would give me a reduction if I bought a new one. Right! I cant hardly afford the repairs on the one I have let alone spending another 2 grand on a new range. Stay away folks, stay away!

We have had nothing but problems with our Electrolux appliances. This is not just one model, but many different appliances. When we moved into our new house we unfortunately purchased all Electrolux including fridge, stove, dishwasher, popup vent, and over/microwave combo. This was all about three years ago. Since purchasing new appliances, the fridge has needed repair twice, the vent hood fan went out and we replaced it with a different brand (Wolf), the stove and oven have had issues and just recently our dishwasher cooked itself. It made several popping sounds and we smelt electronics burning in the kitchen, then the dishwasher shut down and wont come on again. Its now being replaced with a Bosch dishwasher.Do yourself a favor and AVOID Electrolux and their brands. They make junk. Also be careful as some brands like Kenmore use Electrolux to manufacture their goods. Do your research and stay away. I hope my review will help someone save time and money. We spent about 12K on all these new appliances and after 3 years, we are already in the process of replacing them. Getting the fridge repaired was a major hassle with their repair department. Its going to be easier for us to just purchase new appliances and start clearing our house of Electrolux. Never again Electrolux!!! You have been banned for life from my house and Ive already told hundreds of friends to stay away from your brand.

So now I am waiting for them to send me my 3rd refrig. I hope it comes soon before my wood kitchen floor buckles from all the water that leaks out plus water is leaking inside the unit. The back of the refrig is oil canned, I can hear water dripping 24/7. My previous cheap brand refrig I had for 18 years never 1 problem. I hope this new one is the keeper.

All our appliances in the kitchen are from Electolux Icon. In the first year our microwave oven broke down. A few months later our refrigerator did the same. Now our dishwasher is on the fritz. In less than 3 years we had three product failures. I contacted Customer service a number of times and the only solution they advised is to purchase a service plan. The product is very attractive, a bit costly and not reliable. My argument with Electrolux is that service plans are good for older products. As a consumer I should expect 5-8 years of quality performance before we need to service. It is evident that these products are not made to last but heavy dependency on service plans as a solution.

Two stars is too high but Im past angry, just very dissatisfied with my Electrolux appliances. Ive had major problems with my dishwasher. Within several months and after numerous replacements of the control panel, I was already on my third dishwasher. Its working now but it does a questionable job of cleaning. Some of the dishes come out dirtier than they went it. My inexpensive GE did a better job and in ten years I never had a repair issue. The dishwasher now just sits there looking pretty as Im no longer using it. I love my induction range... when it works. At 23 months not one, but two control panels went out. Electolux agreed to cover parts which Im told would have been a couple thousand. I paid a few hundred for the service technician. Repairs took approximately six weeks. Before and after the replacement I find myself making frequent visits to the electric control box to flip the switch and wait while the range reboots. This is extra irritating when I think food prep is almost done only to find the range top or oven is not working. Between the dishwasher and range I estimate Ive had 18 service calls. Each one of them forcing me to take anywhere from two to four hours of uncompensated time away from work. Ive not had any major problems with the refrigerator except that its poorly designed. When you close the freezer drawer, ice slides over the back of the container preventing the drawer from closing. We keep a yardstick nearby to slide the ice out as the opening is too tight to reach our arms in. Guests have needlessly apologized for closing the drawer too hard. Please! The filters need frequent replacement and are expensive. Our salesperson made no mention of this foreseeable cost. And the darn alarm doesnt work when the drawer is open (because of ice thats slid where its not suppose to) and the ice cream is melting; but it goes off in the middle of the night, screaming for me to come turn it off, when all that happened is the electricity went out for a few seconds. The range hood works okay but its noticeably louder now than when we first installed it. Through all of this Electrolux has been more concerned with the performance of the contracted technicians than with the performance of their appliances. Im at an age where lots of friends are doing kitchen remodels. I tell them all, dont buy Electrolux. Spend your $7K+ elsewhere; And they are.

Purchased top of the line Electrolux dishwasher in 2010 (cost a fortune) and have cursed the dishwasher each and every time I took the dishes out after washing. Nothing ever came out sparkling clean from the first day I used it. The water never was hot enough because the dishwasher didnt have a heating coil to heat the water to a temperature that would give excellent results. I dropped the extended warranty and prayed and hoped it would break down and sure enough 6 years later it did just that. It was the happiest day of my dishwashing life. I promptly went out and bought a Kitchen-aid mid-range dishwasher with 3 drawers. An upper flat rack for utensils and the dishwasher is wonderful. No more Electrolux for me ever.

After 6 months, my Electrolux gas dryer stopped working. Relieved it was still under warranty, I contacted Electrolux. That was a week ago and my dryer is still not repaired. The hold up is that the 2 lb part that the repairman determined was needed is in North Carolina and I live in California. Electrolux has refused to expedite delivery and has sent it via UPS SurePost which will take 8 days. This costs about $10 vs the $37 2-day UPS services costs. More disturbingly, after much insistence on my part, Electrolux agreed to send it via 2-day UPS service but then did not do it. I have wasted so much time and energy trying to get through to Electrolux customer service agents and then trying to get information out of them. They have gone back and forth telling me stories about the shipping details. Escalating to supervisors has been useless, they, too, make general statements such as, I understand how frustrating this must be to not have your dryer for a long period of time. The lack of real interest in customer service is shocking and I will never be purchasing Electrolux again. Just wanted to warn other consumers.

Updated on 09/03/2020: It is now September 3, 2020 and I have finally been able to write to 2 people at Electrolux (Mira and Melissa) about my Frigidaire Refrigerator issues. Even though I have been told the people I wrote would get back to me (5 days ago), I have heard nothing from anyone at Electrolux/Frigidaire. The staff refuse to provide contact information to anyone above Supervisor and Ive been at this since receiving this defective fridge in May 2020. I am frustrated that Ive spent so much money and wasted so much time trying to resolve issues that should not exist in a new product.Original Review: I bought a Frigidaire Professional refrigerator from HOME DEPOT who broke the door upon delivering it. They replaced it with another unit which was defective. The defective unit was replaced with a unit with defective parts again. Electrolux and HOME DEPOT insisted that it be repaired, not replaced. They sent out a tech three times then advised me that they approved a replacement weeks prior. That was on July 29, 2020. The (3rd) replacement was authorized on July 8 (without notifying me). It is now August 20, 2020 and I find myself once again on hold for over an hour to be told Sherine at HOME DEPOT cant find the information and cant help me that I need to call another dept.I called the other dept. who said I had to deal with HOME DEPOT.... Yes, I spent hours and hours calling these companies only to be placed on hold for hours and I am still having to wait for them to figure this out. My review is about the really long wait times on hold (today only it was 2hrs and 17 minutes in total), the fact that too often they dont know how to use the phone and say that there are phone system issues today. Too often they are rude and unhelpful. Consumers need to think long and hard about who they buy from. Too often big companies are buying the competition and limiting consumers options, then remove quality of service. Its time the consumer speaks up or stop buying crappy product from companies who dont care to provide care.

I bought a new home last July of 2017 and had a allowance for the range. I wanted a dual oven so they let me upgrade to one. I paid the builder the difference from the allowance I was already paying. The oven has not worked since I got it. Electrolux (Frigidaire) made me go through 7 visits from repair companies (2) and neither could resolve the issue. Electrolux does not make the same model to replace it so I asked for my money back. They will not pay me the full amount but only the addition to my allowance which is only HALF what I paid for it!!! I sent in the paperwork to prove I paid that much and they still refuse. I have lost wages and gas from all the repair visits. I cannot replace my oven for what they will give me. Terrible, terrible company and customer service!!! They said in writing that they would refund the full purchase price.

I own an Electrolux ICON, high-end Counter Depth refrigerator. The Ice Maker has NEVER worked properly. The fan keeps making noise and freezing up, and the ice maker refuses to fill. Ive checked every possible problem it could be, from water pressure to filter replacement and more. Something as simple as an Ice Maker / Dispenser should just work. Theyve been making ice makers for refrigerators for a long time. Its not rocket science. And, why is Electrolux able to simply ignore this problem without making it right for the customer(s), thousands of them unhappy and likely never to purchase another one again, due to horrible customer service and company unwillingness to fix the problem.

We bought an Electrolux gas stove less than 3 years ago. In less than two years, the enamel on the inside of the oven was flaking off where the racks go. These racks are on gliders so if you are cleaning the oven, its pretty much the only time the whole rack gets moved in and out. In other words, the rack stays in place but the shelf itself can glide in and out to remove food. I noticed 3 spots chipped off about 8 months ago after I cleaned the oven and was putting the racks back in. I wrote to Electrolux and sent pictures to them. They sent me back an email saying they had a technician look at the pictures and he determined this was normal wear and tear. So I sent them a reply stating that my last two stoves were over 20 years old, the racks were in and out of those stoves many times and all the enamel was still in place when I got rid of the stoves. This was a manufacturer defect and I would like this fixed. The liaison from the CEO then called me and told me the same thing that their reply email stated and again I told her about my last two stoves never having this problem. She then offered me 60% rebate to buy another Electrolux stove because they cant replace the inside of the stove. I told her, No, I want all my money back so I can go and buy a stove that will last. I had read online many people were dissatisfied with their stoves for the very same reason I was complaining. Also the front right burner doesnt light right away, another complaint from others. When it finally decides to light you get a loud fffumm and a huge flame shoots out of the burner. Now, the other day I cleaned my stove and the next morning I opened the oven to wipe the ash out and in the bottom of the oven the ash was rust colored. I thought that was weird but figured it was the grease that had spilled over before I cleaned it, but once I started wiping it out, I noticed the bottom of the oven is actually rusted and pitted all over. This is not normal. As I see it, the enamel is breaking off when the oven is cleaned. The front of the stove where the knobs for the burners, where it tells which burner is for each knob is all worn off. This is a very expensive appliance with shoddy workmanship! Now Electrolux is telling me they will give me 50% back to buy another one of their stoves. I would never spend that kind of money, and this was the most expensive stove in any of the places we looked. I thought I was paying for a good brand, a long time name in the appliance business and would stand by their product. I will never purchase another Electrolux product again.

Bought a new front load washer and dryer from large local furniture & appliance distributor. An upgrade we thought from the used appliances we got from my fiances parents (which should be noted had last 12... yes, TWELVE years). Not even 3 months in and the washer quit. The issue - the flywheel in the back came loose, or was simply not tightened properly when built (HINT - manufacturer DEFECT!!!), and cut deep grooves in the back of the hard plastic housing, so far you can see through it. And it eventually threw the belt off, thus giving the tub no agitation to wash or spin. That was how we discovered something was broken. Completely useless washer. And that is exactly how Electrolux is now working with us (LOL) to resolve the problem. THEY are completely useless!!! Even their local authorized service company confirmed it was inoperable, that it was irreparable AND it was a manufacturer DEFECT. And to further the agony, the apparent leakage of water over probably a few weeks, has caused water damage and mold to the brand new linoleum and woodwork we put into the laundry room as part of our upgrade. And their response - file a claim with OUR insurance company and then see if theyll subrogate. WHY should we do that when YOUR APPLIANCE DEFECT caused the problem?! I say again, Electrolux is completely USELESS! NEVER again will we buy ANYTHING Electrolux. We thought these new washer & dryer were a dream, but now has turned into an incredible nightmare!Hey Electrolux, heres a noble idea... Stand behind your products and take care of the consumer and maybe even small problems will be overlooked and youll get a better reputation. NOT with us mind you, that is utterly shot to heck! Completely useless!!! In closing, AVOID ELECTROLUX PRODUCTS AT ALL COSTS! Save yourselves from the insanity and stress. Weve been hassling with them almost 3 weeks now and no washer. I bought Electrolux dishwasher, range, and refrigerator in 2009 from Lowes in Marble Falls, TX. The dishwasher was damaged when arrived, then not installed properly. After several attempts to get Lowes to replace it, and then several more phone calls with Electrolux, I finally had a new one installed. It always leaked, and I could get no one to take responsibility. It was the worst dishwasher I ever had, so I finally replaced it with a KitchenAid, which I love. The refrigerator is terrible! The filters need replacing all the time, the crisper freezes my lettuce, even on the warmest setting, so I can only use the right half of the drawer. The same is true for the cheese drawer. The ice and water dispenser do not shut off every time, which makes a huge mess on the floor. Came home last night from vacation, the CE alarm was going off, and everything in the refrigerator and freezer was ruined. Again, Electrolux will do NOTHING! I guess I will also throw the refrigerator out and replace it with a KitchenAid.

We bought our Zen vacuum cleaner in fall 2016, the main selling point being that it was claimed to be the most silent vacuum cleaner in the world. Well, it was silent for the first weeks. Then, there was this loud squeaky noise when vacuuming carpets. Turned out there was an air leak around the fitting of the tube in the handle due to cheap plastic that wears out in no time. Also turned out that the two year warranty did not cover the tube, which was only covered by 6 months. Within these 6 months we had the tube replaced three times, but to what use? The construction itself is wrong in combination with poor material, and it will wear out again no matter how many times you replace the part. This flaw also applies to the built-in nozzle holders that are too weak to hold the nozzle/tube in place. It keeps falling out making noise and waking up the children. Zen is anything but the most silent vacuum cleaner. One more thing while I am at it, the buttons! They are designed for the sake of design, but are absolute useless. Lets just say that the power button of Zen combines the versatility of traditional buttons, and the tactility of a touch screen. Press it and behold, nothing happens! In short, vacuum cleaners from Electrolux may look (and sound) good at a first glance, but the quality is a disgrace for Swedish engineering.

We purchased new front loading washer and dryer this winter for our new home. 6 months of use and the washer stopped draining. Warranty service tech came out and found the drain line plugged deep inside the machine. To fix he had to remove the top and front of the machine to get to a plastic inline bowl that he said is prone to becoming plugged. We have a lab and he said we need to shake out everything before washing as the dogs hair will clog the machine. This repair is not for the amateur and if it wasn’t under warranty it would have been about $240. Can’t believe the poor design and difficult accessibility to do routine cleaning. Our dog is 8 years old and we’ve never had a problem like this. Will think twice about buying another one when the time comes.

When we called for warranty work and had it looked at and called back to Electrolux to find out about parts they said they were on order and might take 2 weeks to get fixed. Electrolux doesnt even carry parts for their own products! Now the washer wont even complete a cycle without having to rinse and spin twice! I will never buy anything from Electrolux again. $2000 for crap! I have learned my lesson and will never recommend these products to anybody including my enemies! Electrolux is a very cheap-made machinery with poor customer service!

In September 2013 I purchased numerous appliances for a house I was renovating. Among those were an Electrolux washer, dryer and 2 wine refrigerators. The appliances were delivered and installed in February 2014. The dryer steam valve malfunctioned in less than a year flooding the laundry room and damaging the wood floor; that was repaired under warranty. The washer malfunctioned a few months later - out of warranty - when it would not spin clothes dry. That required a service call and parts replacement for $454. About a year later the same problem arose. Another service call, another $454. Recently the problem occurred for the 3rd time. I was told that I needed a new drive belt and that the bearings were bad. The quote to repair was more than the cost of a new washer. I replaced washer and dryer with Maytag versions. The wine refrigerators have fixed shelves so close together that Burgundy style bottles cannot be placed on them without causing the shelf above to come out as well. The only solution is to skip a shelf if you need to store bottles wider than standard. Oh, yes, one of the refrigerators temperature controls no longer works.

I purchased a new home and bought the extended warranty from Electrolux for the appliances. Within the first year, my microwave broke 4 times. On the final time, I was told the microwave would be replaced. My microwave broke over 3 weeks ago, and initially customer service said someone would get back to me within 5 business days to approve the replacement. When I didn’t hear anything for 10 business days, I called them back. I was then told to give them another 3 business days. When I didn’t hear back AGAIN, I called them and was told that these things (meaning replacing my microwave) takes time and I should be patient, and that I could possibly be without a microwave for 2 months. Does that sound acceptable?? What modern home can go without a major appliance for that long? Their customer did not care. I spoke to a supervisor who was not helpful and kept repeating the same phrase, “I understand your frustration.” However he was not offering any solutions to my problem. He did, however, tell me that if they had to ship my microwave then I am financially responsible for the shipping and installation. If you are reading this before you purchase an Electrolux or Frigidaire appliance (Electrolux provides the extended warranty) please DON’T purchase. If you have an issue with your appliance then you will regret you spent the money. Their customer service and appliances are horrible. BUYER BEWARE!

We purchased 6 appliances all Electrolux. We had 2 issues with the microwave door repaired under warranty. The fridge however is a completely different story that never ends. It has been 3 years of repairs and replacement parts but the worst of it all was when one day I dispensed water and ice from the fridge door and while drinking I choked on something. Fortunately for me my husband was here to assist me in dislodging it, and it turned out to be a piece of styrofoam dispensed from the ice maker. I was able to spit it into the sink in bewilderment. We inspected the bin and were perplexed as to where it had come from. After that 3 more pieces of styrofoam were dispensed at different times. We kept inspecting the bin and found a large plastic piece and some wires wrapped around the auger. Many dollars have gone into this ice/water dispenser, mother board, display board and now this styrofoam and choking. Stay very clear from Electrolux. Im sorry we chose this brand just for the induction. The freezer in the bottom we cannot turn off, and the seal around the freezer door does not meet up with the frame leaving the cold air to escape leaving me without a frost FREE freezer and fluctuating temperatures. At times the warm alarm will sound alerting us that the freezer has gone warm and then we need to cut the power on then off to reset it and throw food out that thawed. Now we throw good money after bad, and to add a serious choking incident into the mix is unthinkable. This complaint could be a whole lot different if my husband wasnt at home to help me with a piece of styrofoam. To think a refrigerator is a danger in your home!!!

I am writing about Electrolux EW28BS85KS5 French Door Refrigerator. This refrigerator was a replacement for the Generation One that had the terrible problem with the ice maker and was subject of a Class Action Lawsuit. My was replaced before the Class Action even started. After many many stressful conversations with Electrolux, they made me buy an extended warranty after the fact and replaced my refrigerator with this is one. I have had this fridge now about 5 and a half years. This fridge started to have temperature problems in June of this year. The temperature of the freezer and also the fridge would go haywire. It would go up then down a bit, then up to high with the alarm sounding, then down again etc. This refrigerator also developed a rusty spot on the back of the fridge where the ice maker is. Now, the rusty spot has a thick ice on it on the outside.I ended up calling out the repair company listed on Electroluxs website. They told me that the defroster is broken and needs to be replaced ($400 for the par). They also informed me that the rusty spot with the ice forming on it cannot be fixed. There is no solution for that. They called Electrolux many times and it is not fixable. They told me that I am better off getting another refrigerator. This will leak in the back, damage my hardwood floor and also cause mold to grow. Of course, I contacted Electrolux and they are no help. Nothing can be done. They cannot and will not do anything for me. I am out of the initial investment of $4K.I am shopping for another fridge. Of course, I am not happy that I have to spend $$$ on a fridge when I only had the replacement fridge for a short period of time. In my opinion 5 and half years should not be the lifespan of a fridge. Of course, I am frustrated, wouldnt you be? I am contacting the AGs office again to file a complaint. If Electrolux had the willingness to stand behind their products, it would eliminate so many customer complaints. But, they do not care of good customer service and repeat business. Too bad for them.

What is worse the refrigerator or the 800 number customer service? New refrigerator came, got set up and the control panel didnt work. Two weeks later the tech came with the second one that also didnt work. One month on a new refrigerator and no ice. Since then, an ice maker service call repair every six months. Company takes no ownership of their products performance and customer service and their supervisor spend their time trying to sell a $300 per year service contract. I have 5 Viking and 2 Samsung appliances in the kitchen purchased at the same time. One problem with exhaust fan, repaired promptly. Electrolux is an awful company, making awful products, and treating their customers badly.

A&E Factory Service (Warranty) are worthless. Been 6 weeks already and over $50 in Laundromat costs to dry clothes. I will NEVER Recommend an Electrolux appliance to anyone. My husband purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot a year ago. From the day it was installed, it has given us nothing but problems. If a dishwasher had the power to ruin a persons day, this is the model that would do that. The electronic display never works. Just never works. Push them all day to try to start a load of dishes and you get nothing but beeps. You cannot simply push the type of load and hit start, as most dishwashers allow you to do. Its all computerized and nothing works. When we finally do hit the buttons enough times to get the machine to start, it runs a cycle and the dishes come out the same as they went in - not cleaned at all.Weve called Home Depot... Weve called Electrolux - all to no avail. Electrolux sent out a serviceman who did nothing. They wouldnt accept a return for this horrible machine, yet charged over $1000 for it. Im just waiting until my husband says we should just start over and buy a new machine. He chose this one himself, so Ill probably be waiting a while. Ugh. So frustrated.

As in other reviews we had problems with the ice maker on our Electrolux fridge. It was also repaired twice and now it works intermittently, plus we get some gray mold like contamination in some of the cubes. Our microwave window was replaced once because of a foggy deposit on the inside of the glass, the fog is back again! The display is fine for everyday use but if you try doing some programming the display is illegible. Our dishwasher has a plethora of wash choices of which none do as good a job as our much cheaper GE Profile in Florida. Unless you basically hand wash the plates, pans, and silverware, you will end up with some food residue on some of the items. The flat top range does not have a exhaust vent only a cooling fan for the electronics which blows out the front. If some dripping end up smoking in the oven, the smoke stays there until you open the door and the smoke sets off the alarms in the house! To top it off, one has to buy every few months an expensive water filter for the fridge, and when putting the range in clean mode, you have to remove all the racks and side bars for it to work so you end up with a clean oven but dirty racks! When we first purchased the trio it was promised that we would get a $300 rebate, which we never received because we submitted the paperwork incorrectly! We received no help from the store because it was a strictly Electrolux deal, and none from Electrolux themselves. In spite of the fact they had proof of purchase, which should have been enough to qualify us for the rebate, they never made any effort to satisfy us. As mentioned earlier, I would have been a lot more satisfied with a GE or LG product for at least half the price!

These were all paid for by Electrolux. After 18 months, the dishwasher is now giving the error 1 code, which appears to very problematic and difficult to diagnose/repair, and one burner on the stove smells like gas, even when it is on, rendering it unusable. At the prices that these appliances cost, one would expect them to run when new, and to last more than 18 months.

All the plastic around the doors is cracking off now. Electrolux is sorry. Now both ice makers have stopped working. A small and simple to replace part (the latch for the dispenser drawer) broke on my EIFLW55HIW0 model washing machine. I contacted Electrolux expecting to be able to order the part. They referred me to their parts manual (which required going to the Frigidaire website). Unfortunately the part was not shown and I was told I would have to purchase the entire assembly. When I told the support person that I had no assembly that even looked like their parts diagram, they essentially said, well that is the parts diagram. There is a clearly labelled part number on the drawer assembly, but it does not match their parts diagram. In other words, although the model number is the same, the design has clearly been changed so that matching parts are no longer available. There is no part number for the part that is broken so apparently that was not considered a separate part.

Im from Malaysia and am a user of Electrolux Washing Machine and dryer. Im very happy with both the machines until I encounter problem with my Dryer. It was making a loud sound and I quickly called Electrolux dealer AB First Trading in Shah Alam. The technician came and inspected my dryer. It took him merely 2 minutes of inspection and he told me that the motor is faulty and needed to change the entire motor system. On top of that, he told some belts are balding and needed to change as well. It will cost around RM800-RM1000 to have it changed. I was shocked. I didnt trust him so I asked another technician (not Electrolux dealer) to inspect my dryer. He opened the machine, and showed me a pile of dusts. After removing the pile of dusts, the loud sound disappeared! I was utterly shocked that the problem was only removal of dusts; not drum faulty, not motor, not belt! I felt cheated by AB First Trading but also relieved that I did not engage their service. However, Their sales staff kept harassing me and easily called me 20 times a day (at least) to ask for their labour charges. I was so mad as they cheated on me first and I refused to pay the labour charges. After all, the AB First Trading technician did not even open up the machine. he was just here listening to the sound. I wish Electrolux headquarter can do something about this as the experience are tormenting and the harassment is getting worse. Two years ago bought 4 appliances from Electrolux and all are the worst quality products I have ever owned. The Microwave has been serviced 4 times, the door shattered and the Warranty repair person broke the vent and he said it was not his problem as Electrolux stand behind it. The refrigerator cost $3600 had to be replaced for rust, the stove had sharp edges around the components and they had to send a man to file the edges in my home. The dishwasher simply does not wash the dishes and often simply stays on during the drying cycle. This appliance is a piece of junk and the service has much to be desired. Bought it with other kitchen appliances while redoing the kitchen. Have only used it two months and here are my complaints: doors were dented when unit arrived, new doors were put on with seals put on backward, water filter leaks water on the floor, unit makes more noise than expected. Freezers doesnt seal. Even after service people allegedly fixed it I thought it still didnt seal. Turns out I was right. The freezer door rails need replaced according to third service company!! The electronic computer board has malfunctioned and is reading error codes. The refrigerator will not maintain cold. The evaporator fan needs replaced - not working. Some type of Unit blew out when there was some type of power outage. Now, keep in mind this is two months of use!!!!!! I am filing a lemon law complaint and complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The response of Dormont Appliance and Electrolux has been much less than stellar. DO NOT PATRONIZE EITHER OF THESE COMPANIES (for your own good!).

Thank goodness we got the extended warranty. Next the microwave door handle came off. They came out and replaced it. Unfortunately, it has happened again, our warranty is over so we will be purchasing a new microwave. Not an Electrolux. Our dishwasher door was malfunctioning. The service rep told the warranty people that it was non repairable. The piece that needed to be replaced was a small plastic piece that he said they couldn’t get to replace. I bought my Electrolux wall oven model CPEB30S9DC2 in early 2007 and it has worked without incident until Jan 16 2015. That evening we were cooking and lucky we were not out of our house and only in another room when we heard the sound of electrical short coming from the kitchen. Smoke was coming from the wall oven and thought that, an element was burning out due to its approximately 7.5 years of service. Pushing the OFF button on the face did nothing and sparks smoke and a burning plastic smell was filling the room. Went directly to the power supply and turned off the circuit breaker. Being in the manufacturing business of electric steam generating appliances for over 35 years, I investigated the construction of the printed circuit board that had caught fire in the wall oven. I was surprised to discover that there was no fused protection on this internal device. This lack of conscience in the design would have in the worst case scenario allowed a fire to start in the appliance that may have transferred to the surrounding cabinetry. Lucky for us, we had the power supply disconnected within 1 minute of the short circuit and the only damage was smoke and fumes, which we can still smell in our kitchen even after removing the wall oven, cleaning the smoke soot from the cabinetry and airing out the kitchen for 24 hours. Thought I was buying a quality product when I purchased this appliance but after reading about so many different appliance recalls on the internet, I want to take my next purchase apart and study the construction before installing in my home. There are too many horror stories out there about families that have lost so much due to appliance fires. I do not understand how this design could hold a CSA mark and have been passed for certification. My next letter is to CSA. Am I the only wall oven that has a printed circuit board that has melted and caught fire. Consumer beware!!

My wife and I bought a brand new home, with brand new Electrolux appliances 2 years ago. EVERY Electrolux appliance we bought has had major problems within the first 18 months, and continues to break. The following all happened within the first 18 months of owning the appliances, and with fairly light use. The microwave simply stopped working. The control panel went black and would not response. We paid nearly $1000 for parts and labor to fix it (as this happened just barely after the warranty expired). 6 months later, the same thing happened. No support or coverage, although the technician was quite insistent that he never sees problems with these appliances and that we buy an extended warranty from him, which we did not.The refrigerator door handle became very loose. $90 repair bill. Technician was again quite insistent that he never sees problems with these appliances and that we buy an extended warranty from him, which we did not. About a month later, the freezer drawer handle became very loose. $90 repair bill. The technician was quite insistent that we buy an extended warranty from him. We did not. The Oven stopped working. Simply no heat. Everything looked like it was working, but there would be no heat. $540 repair bill. The technician once again claimed that these appliances almost never have any issues, and was quite insistent that we buy an extended warranty from him. We did not. The dishwasher top rack continues to break loose from its rollers, requiring everything be removed, including unscrewing the brackets for the top rack, and remounting it. This is a very poor design, and seems to be a very common problem on this model. The stove top knobs have all broken loose, and the stove top ignition has stopped working several times. You may be thinking that we must really be rough on our appliances. No.. We barely use them. Our kids have moved away and it is just my wife and I. We are gentle with them, and try to be very careful, especially with what now seems to be extremely fragile workmanship. We have owned several homes and many, many kitchen appliances... We have never had any issues (even when all of our kids were at home and the appliances saw much greater use). Electrolux is without question the very worst. You may be asking why we dont replace them, instead of repairing them. Good question, and we probably will. Of course the cabinets were designed around these appliances, and they all match aesthetically, which is a big part of the reason.

Not to mention waiting 3 weeks for my washer to be fix the amount of mold that grew inside by the motor and pump was ridiculous, especially when I asked the technician on his original visit to please open the machine to remove broken pump and that I could clean it all out.Instead today when the machine was open water came pouring out that had been sitting in there for 3 weeks! Today is Monday and it has been 3 weeks since I called for repair, still cant use my washer, and was given an 8am-5pm time slot on Friday! So ridiculous! I purchased a washer and dryer combo about a year ago that came with a $100 visa card rebate. I submitted the rebate application that day. I waited for months but got nothing in the mail. I decided to call back to see what was going on and it turns out that the rebate was declined because my zip code was missing from the invoice from the store, yet I entered it on the application. All the other information was identical. They state that I was notified via email but never received anything regarding it. Electrolux refused to resend the $100 gift card when I contacted customer support. I see similar rebates currently advertised on their products so I dont see why they cant just resend the gift card.

Electrolux Refrigerator Model EI26SS55GB0 - I purchased this refrigerator i
Electrolux Refrigerator Model EI26SS55GB0 - I purchased this refrigerator in September 2009. The refrigerator showed problems after I purchased the unit. The main first problem observed was the freezer and refrigerator temperatures were wondering. The digital display also had elements that burned out. The unit was out of the manufacturers warranty when this occurred. I had Sears come over to diagnose the unit and they said it was the interface board. This was in 2012 so based on other posts about their refrigerators I guess comparatively speaking I was doing pretty good. Anyway one month after the new interface board was installed the system started to wander in temperature again and would not stabilize. The Sears technician again came over and replaced the same board at additional expense. The display elements are still not working properly. The segments look like they are getting ready to burn out. We turn off the display to save this part. Now about a month ago the ice dispenser quit working. The issue appears to be the main board which is very expensive to replace. I called Electrolux and they offered me 10% off of the part; Really!!! The board is over $300. I have a friend who owns an appliance store. He told me that he has dropped the Electrolux line. I asked him why. He said when he sold their products he had a ton of circuit board problems. In fact he has a customer that has a similar problem that I had; the temperature wondering. He told me that his customer had a technician out 3-times to change out the board(s). Finally the third time appears to have fixed it however the previous times it went down - the food rotted in the unit and now has a smell that she cant get rid of. My friend is going to swap out the unit with another brand b/c he feels so bad.Anyway bottom line - refrigerators should last much longer than this. I was told Electrolux was a top notch product; NOT!!! Please stay far, far away from this brand. Youll do yourself a favor and avoid MUCH grief!!!

These are the worst appliances I have owned. I purchased a Dishwasher, Gas Range and French Door Refrigerator. The Refrigerator was replaced after one year because the Ice Maker never worked after being repaired several times (including once where Electrolux told the repair tech to push the sides of the fridge next to the ice maker). After 5 repairs to a leaky dishwasher (Electrolux knew about this one) besides damaging the cabinets, it still doesnt clean properly (you have to wash dishes before putting them in the dishwasher). The Range started to emit a gas smell when it was working. This was repaired and lasted two weeks before starting again. Now I am waiting for the part which may or may not fix both the gas smell and get the oven to actually work. Do not even consider these appliances. Electrolux knows they are defective but will not do anything about it. The glorious reviews online are not what they seem. I have had Whirlpool appliances, GE Profile appliances and now Electrolux. On a star rating for Electrolux, I would give it a one because there are no negative ratings.

I recently assisted a family member in a recent kitchen remodeling project
I recently assisted a family member in a recent kitchen remodeling project that included the selection and purchase of several new appliances. A new gas range was one of three appliances acquired. The Electrolux Icon was selected and purchased as it appeared to be well-made, and loaded with features and desirable accessories. Unfortunately, immediately after the range was installed, the oven failed to operate correctly causing a need for a service call before it could be used the first time. (Timing is everything: The new range was installed days prior to Thanksgiving and when it proved to be not functioning, plans for the holiday had to be adjusted.) Because the Icon was purchased from Sears (no local Mom and Pop appliance store carried the Icon product line nor could order it), Sears was called for repair service. Several days later, the repairman arrived, and soon he made up a list of parts that would need to be replaced. He also advised us that the parts were not available locally and that it would take 10 to 12 days before they were available. This seemed to me to be an excessively long lag time to wait for parts, so after he left, I called Electrolux and spoke with a customer service representative who was very well trained, and very knowledgeable. I learned several facts that all owners of Electrolux MUST consider, especially if the appliances were purchased from Sears. First, DO NOT CALL SEARS FOR SERVICE! Sears contracts out service repair calls to A&E, and, I was told, Electrolux no longer has a business relationship with A&E due to A&Es poor workmanship. Instead, CALL ELECTROLUX and ask for the name of the certified repair shops in your geographical area. Second, choose a repair shop from the list provided by Electrolux. Document, document, document! Once the technician has identified the parts that are needed for repair, get the names of the parts and if possible, the parts numbers. The reason for this suggestion is simple: It is possible that the repair shops parts distributor may have a 10 to 12 day lag time before parts are provided. Not having a functioning appliance for a 2 to 3 week period is excessive, I would suggest. Therefore, with the parts name and number, call Electrolux directly, order the parts, and have them shipped directly to your home address. Schedule the repairs with the service repairman, by all means, but do not be held hostage by a supply chain that does not provide for faster service than the prescribed 10 to 12 days. In the case of our Icon oven, after calling a recommended repair shop, and they had completed their own diagnosis, the part was found to be readily available, and the repair was completed 24 hours later so it was not necessary for the part to be ordered from Electrolux. Interestingly, the Sears/A&E repairman had identified two parts that needed to be replaced whereas the recommended service technician identified a total of one part. Draw your own inference to this fact. Having gone through this experience, I have learned that there is a big difference between an appliance manufacturers sales channels and its back of the office service channels. If possible, try to identify a retailer that not only sells a product, but stands behind it with its own service department (and not contract out its repair services to an A&E type vendor). And remember that just because a retailer can sell a product, there is no reason to infer that they have the ability to service it. Also, the retailers ability to sell an extended service agreement has no bearing on their ability to service the product with qualified technicians.

I purchased the Electrolux cabinet depth french door refrigerator, duel fuel slide-in range, and microwave 3 years ago. To date, I have repaired the ice maker; the refrigerator door gaskets; and the tracks for the freezer draw. These repairs exceeded $1000. In addition, the plastic piece on the door handle of the microwave dried up and cracked and had to be replaced. The piece above the microwave door broke and also needed to be replaced. This is a 3 member household, no young children. Our previous refrigerator lasted for more than 20 years.

We purchased a top of the line Electrolux french door refrigerator. We did not purchase extended warranty and after a short 2 year period, the door ice maker sensor somehow was pulled into the ice crusher causing a short that took out ALL computer boards. The refrigerator basically died - cardiac arrest - A repair not under the 5 yr category and nearly half the cost of the $3,600 we invested in the appliance. The only remedy Electrolux offered were discount on parts, but cannot find repairman to work with this arrangement. We are forced to purchase a new refrigerator and cannot justify getting style I want due to money already spent. Since Electrolux would not stand behind their product, I do not recommend anyone buy Electrolux products!

I moved into my new home last year. It was furnished with various Electrolux appliances, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave. We decided to utilize the self-cleaning feature of our Electrolux oven model #EW30DS65GS. Well the self-cleaning feature worked fine but then the upper oven wouldnt work. It only stayed at 100 degrees. So I researched the issue and found that its a problem common to your dual ovens, they overheat and blow a fuse, blow the thermal control and may only need the reset the button. The button I understand is located in the back of the oven and were unable to get to it since its built-in and glided onto our Kitchen counters. This has been so frustrating! The manual doesnt warn you that there would be a problem with the oven when the self-cleaning feature is utilized. Had we known, we would have never used the self-cleaning feature. Now I have a nice Electrolux dual oven but the upper oven doesnt work. I think that Electrolux should provide concessions to people that have these products and cover the cost of the repair. It doesnt seem right that a common feature as self-cleaning would result in disastrous consequences when used. It appears that this is a manufacturing defect with the oven. I implored the company to assist me with this repair so I can take full advantage of my oven. It really is a nice oven and its a shame that it cant be fully utilized as intended. I spoke to customer assistance several times and emailed them with no avail.

Microwave (Model # EI30BM60MSA / Serial # KG42833822) I purchased a newly constructed home on 03/04/2015. I paid an upgrade charge to have Electrolux appliances installed in my kitchen. I received a one year warranty. Six months after owning the microwave the door handle broke off upon opening it. There are two non-body building adults and no children in the house. It was covered under warranty. A technician was dispatched. He was unable to replace the door handle and had to replace the entire door (destroying my wall in the process). Six months after that, the same thing happened with the door handle breaking off. No coverage as warranty expired eleven (11) days prior. I called Electrolux customer service and spoke with a supervisor. Although polite, she definitely was reading from a memorized script (really frustrating). She was unable to assist with my issue beyond just sending a replacement door handle. I explained to her my disappointment with Electrolux products and she stated she would make note of my complaint. Amazing.I will reiterate my extreme dissatisfaction with Electrolux products and its customer support. This issue is clearly an ongoing one as it has happened twice within a year. At the very least, Electrolux should dispatch and pay for a technician to replace the door handle ESPECIALLY since the last technician found it impossible to perform. If a technician found it impossible, what makes Electrolux think that a customer can replace the handle? Stand by your products Electrolux.

We purchased a refrigerator/freezer with an automatic ice maker in the door
We purchased a refrigerator/freezer with an automatic ice maker in the door on 12/9/2013. On October 6, 2014 we needed to have the water dispenser serviced as it ran by itself every minute all evening and damaged a big area as it ran into the basement, ruining ceiling tiles. A service person replaced the dispenser module which was under warranty. This morning when we got up we found that it had again been doing the same thing and again ran into the basement damaging more ceiling tiles. Now the real problem is that Electrolux cannot find a technician that will service our area and are waiting for a call back. We found a company that would service Electrolux products but they are checking to see if they are an authorized dealer. How long do we wait for service or for a call back? I will never buy an Electrolux appliance again. The same part shouldnt break after 8 months.

We bought a $1,500, top of the line E-lux combo microwave and warm-air oven. It is our complementary oven. Our normal oven is primary. We use the microwave perhaps every other day for 1 minute warming coffee. It died, circuit board death. $600 to remove and replace it! It is less than 5 years old with less than 50 hours of use. E-lux told me tough luck. I cannot recommend their product or service. Electroluxs product is poor.

Three years ago I purchased a French door refrigerator from Sears but was manufactured by Electrolux. Immediately we noticed the ice maker did not supply enough ice. Sears came out and replaced icemaker three times. Still does not supply enough ice but you get tired of appointments and meeting repairmen to make the same repairs over and over again. The last repairman said this was a common problem with the refrigerator I have. Last weekend I pulled open the freezer drawer and it fell apart. After spending an hour to make it functional I decided it was time to replace it. So this week I purchased another new refrigerator. One NOT manufactured by Electrolux.

We have been in our home for two years and both the Electrolux microwave and dishwasher don’t work. The dishwasher was only used a few times. I would never recommend these products. The repairman came out which we had to pay and he said these products are cheaply made. It’s unbelievable that we have two products only 2 years old and they are trash!

We have been dealing with repair companies that cant even get the parts for at least 3-4 weeks. This is a new refrigerator that is not even a year old yet. 3 months now and they still will not replace it. What a nightmare! The repair companies they use also do not want to do the repairs because they say that they have to go through hell to get paid. I have sent email and tried calling but Electrolux could care less. Dont buy one is my advice. They dont stand behind their products at all. It also cost us 2600 dollars so its not a cheap one...

I purchased a matching set of front loaders (models EIFLS60JIW and EIMED60JIW) on July 12, 2013 and the washer been nothing but a headache. It gets off balance with small loads, medium loads and large loads. Nothing is more frustrating than to start a load, hoping to come home and throw the load into the dryer only to discover it got off balance and never started the cycle. THEN, to make it worse, my clothes are getting slits put in them. I dont know if it is the washer or the dryer. Ive had a service call and they cant figure it out. I absolutely detest this set and wish I had never, ever purchased them. My neighbor has a set of Maytags and she love them - no problems whatsoever.
