We replaced a cheap 20 year old Kenmore dishwasher to upgrade to a stainless, expensive ASKO dishwasher # 5233. The old dishwasher worked perfectly but we bought the Asko as recommended by the P.C. Richard & Son salesman and we liked the idea of Swedish made vs Asian built. Well since day one its been a complete disappointment. We have had repairmen in and they find nothing to repair. Its due to a design flaw. I even put the extended post cycle on to give more cleaning time and that doesnt help. I would strongly suggest to anyone buying a new dishwasher NOT to buy Asko.

We were talked into buying an Asko dishwasher by the salesman at the Good Guys. NEVER AGAIN!! Despite being one of the dearest I’ve had nothing but trouble with it. First the dishes were coming out as dirty as they went in, and used to have to put rinse aid in every few days. Technician came and fiddled around. Apparently I have to wash the dishes before they go in - my mistake I thought this was the job of the machine. Then instead of putting the tablet in the tablet compartment, this machine seems to work better when you throw the tablet straight into the machine. Anyway. Told to use only the ‘hygiene’ setting which I have been doing and now seems to work better. Still doesn’t dry plastic but hey… It’s cleaning at least. Now, the dishwasher does not turn on at all. On the phone with ‘service’ department - in POSITION 20!!!! Will never again touch an Asko product with a 20 foot pole!!!!

Asko dishwasher - My advice, just dont buy one. Nothing but trouble from installation through numerous repairs. Plus, it never was really quiet nor did a good job of cleaning. Now even though the dishwasher is less than 10 years old, they no longer make spare parts for it. Who makes a premium product and then stops making spare parts?

We decided to spend $2000 on a dishwasher for quality and a product that would last. This was not the case with ASKO! The dishwasher failed just after the two year mark. Our local ASKO serviceman came out and said the circuit board was broken and possibly the pump and he would look into replacements. The company did not call back, after two months I phoned them to ask what was being done, they said they would look into it and call back. I have not heard back from them, this business is called APTCO. Our issues were also logged with ASKO which they have done nothing about. So disappointed in this company and the product! A higher price tag does not get quality, customer support, and service.

The Asko dishwasher was sold to us as a premium, high end product but the reality has been that it is inferior in its cleaning capabilities and we continually have problems with adequate drying as well as stagnant water sitting in the bottom drain. I contacted Asko who insisted that it is the dishwasher detergents in the US (same as I had used for years with previous dishwashers with no problems) and that I needed to occasionally run a cycle with vinegar to clean it out - which I do but to no avail. I highly recommend against this brand of dishwasher and will never again own one myself.

I bought an ASKO dishwasher and it broke after three or four wash loads. The entire microprocessor went out. I wanted a refund. They refuse and say that they dont have to take the dishwasher back because the warranty states that they can repair it. It seems to me that if a company sells a defective product, they should be willing to take it back for a refund. Their customer relations person was condescending and treated me horribly. Ugh.

Two weeks ago, we ordered a small part for our Asko dishwasher. We were told it would be in our home in NJ in 4 business days, which would have the part to us on Friday. The price to ship the small part was $18! Why? Because Asko claims to have a special deal with UPS. On Friday, the part did not arrive. We called but the parts department was already closed - an hour earlier than its posted hours. On Monday, no part came. We called again. They stated that the part would be with us no later than Tuesday, end of the day. Can we get a tracking number? No, Asko responded, We dont give out that information. Tuesday comes and goes. Wednesday, still no part came. Thursday morning, we called again. They put me on hold to contact UPS and discovered that the part went to New Mexico. At this point, my dishwasher has been broken for weeks. Their response was, Sorry for your frustration. I state that the mistake was made on their part and that I want the part shipped overnight. At $18 for shipping, its ridiculous not to have the part in two days! They could have shipped it through priority mail and given better service for a fraction of the cost. Their response was, Asko will let UPS know that that is what youd like. I stated back, No, I wanted Asko to direct them to ship the part overnight or ship a new part directly from the warehouse overnight. This was their mistake. Again, their response was that they contacted UPS in New Mexico and had let them know that we want the part overnight. At this point, I asked to speak to a supervisor, the person said, She isnt here, but Ill take your number and shell call you back. I received no phone call. This isnt the first experience Ive had with Asko. It will be the last. I wouldnt recommend them at all. Their level of customer care is horrible.

We purchased an Asko SS dishwasher Model D1876 10 years ago for $980 and have had nothing but problems with it. It first started on fire (the motherboard needed to be replaced), approximately 4 leaking issues, 2 overflow issues, thermostat replacement, cycling issues (machine would never turn off). Last month, we had another overflow and leaking issue and as soon as that was repaired, the motherboard went bad again just last week. Asko was called by our authorized repair company and they were told that the motherboard was no longer a part they were making or backing. Asko told our repairman to tell us, Just go buy another dishwasher. Really? Who makes a product and stops making replacement parts for it? What are my options with this company?

Asko dishwasher model D3250 - I have read the poor reviews for the Asko dishwasher and I am so empathetic, but my experience is totally different. I loved the Asko washer and dryer my sister owned, so when we purchased a 2 year old home (1999), we upgraded all of the appliances. We chose Asko for the washer, dryer and dishwasher. We did not have experienced service in the Ann Arbor MI area, so this was frustrating for the problems encountered with the washer, dryer. The belt on the dryer needed replacing once - still works.

I bought what I thought was supposed to be a top of the line dishwasher. It cleans sometimes. The glasses come out dirtier than they went in. Food sticks on the dishes, etc. Asko does not care about the client. The water is not hot enough. The pipe is the problem, they always find a reason to blame the client instead of the product. I had a 15 year old dishwasher and then a Maytag that lasted many years without a problem. I will never buy another Asko item.

We renovated our house and put in two brand new Asko dishwashers. The day we moved in, the appliances both broke down. Asko replaced them within a couple of days. 1.4 years later, the replacements have each broken down multiple times and required new control panels. The parts take a long time to get so a wait of a month or more is normal. This is the worst appliance purchase we have ever made. I will never again buy an Asko product.

We purchased an Asko dishwasher in August 2009, thinking that we had a 3-year warranty. Today, March 2012, the dishwasher is in need of repair for standing water, and when I called for company service, they told me that my unit is not under warranty. The company requires that you register your appliance within 90 days in order to receive the third year of coverage. Because I did not register within the 90-day period, I will have to pay for a service call. The supervisor at customer service said that this is their policy and there was nothing she can do about it. I would like to know-- why does this policy exist? The warranty should be determined by the purchase date and not on an arbitrary designation based on sending in a postcard. Secondly, many customers, including my self, are resistant to sending their information to a company when there is no apparent need for it. I perceive this 90-day registration to be an excuse to collect marketing information, and I resent that Asko is putting this policy above the principle of taking care of their customers.

In March 2015 I purchased an ASKO Dishwasher D5644. Purchase Date 23-3-15. Invoice ** from Domain Warrawong Sales person Robin. My ASKO dishwasher was delivered with front door damaged. I tried to contact the delivery guy to immediately return to my home and take my damaged dishwasher but wasnt able to contact him. After endless phone calls, emails to ASKO to supply me with a whole new dishwasher as a package in good working condition and quality, Sales Co-ordinator Rachael ** notified me via email that I will be only getting a replacement door panel. That Regional Appliances will be in touch to replace the door. I wasnt granted new dishwasher which I was terribly upset about.Since then I have had Regional Appliances attend to my faulty dishwasher on 3 separate occasions. 16th Feb - Due to the control panel not working. The technician reset my dishwasher (never opened the control Panel) then worked for a further 6 weeks. 4th April Due to Control Panel not working (never opened the control Panel). Regional Appliance technician visited my home and the panel work immediately for him.On the 4th April was told via phone call Sharon from Regional Appliances if their technician is to come out again and the control panel is working that I would be charged for this visit. A control panel was ordered by Regional Appliances but sent back to Asko supplier 3 months later. Between 4th April and 15th November 2016 last visit from regional Appliances. I have been turning my dishwasher off at the wall for a day or days until the dishwasher (control Panel) happens to come on. As I was reluctant to call Regional Appliances, I didnt want to be charged if it works for the Technician. The last visit from the RA Technician I explained to him that it created an unsafe environment with a huge, loud noise early in the unawaken morning with smoke and smell. He then proceeded to try and take the door off with no luck. He then proceeded to try and take the front panel off with screwdrivers and a lot of hard pulling and damage to the inside of door. I then left him to himself as my husband is a tradesman and says he hates people watching him. Within seconds he had his bag and told me it had cockroach damage.

I have had nothing but problems with my new ASKO dishwasher. It was only 3 years old when F11 kept showing up, which indicates a drainage issue. we had a repairman come in and their was no blockage, we changed the pump still did not fix the problem. After spending hours on hold to the call center, number of times being hanged up on and no call back, purchased a new computer board for the dishwasher, which only worked for 5 months, after calling another 3 times, 2 of which I was disconnected from after over 20min on hold, was told the part is no longer under warranty and the only way to fix it is to get their service people out and replace the part which could cost up to $400. Best decision I have made through all this is to throw it out and NEVER BUY ASKO AGAIN!!!

Its always disheartening when you buy something and it doesnt perform to its expected level. But even when 3 different repairmen tell you all they do is fix these kind of products repeatedly in different customers homes and their product is not up to the standards of standard dishwashers then you know youve made a mistake buying it. In our case our dishwasher has never since day one clean the dishes thoroughly and has never ever dried the dishes and weve had 4 service calls well over $1200. Still have not had satisfaction. I guess its our fault buying a dishwasher from a country that is not known to produce products of this level or at all would highly want anybody to buy a local dishwasher from their appliance store or even Home depot with a name they know and trust like GE that has been a standard in the industry for years opposed to higher end appliances that dont perform at all.

The asko appliances are inherited from the rich guy we bought the house from. We thought we were very lucky to get a house full of high end stuff but in all honest the performance is not anything special at all. If that were the only problem and the green story is where they hung their hat. Maybe we would be fans but the dishwasher does not do a good job of cleaning compared with other dishwashers I have had in my life that are more typical brands and the main problem is that when they are serviced the parts take forever to be received. The fix doesnt last very long and now at 8 years old the parts have been discontinued and are no longer available. The company was bought out by sub zero/wolf parent who thinks high end appliances are a good thing but not a good enough thing to keep going with parts. I will never again buy anything with the name asko, sub zero or wolf on it. Their idea of customer service is telling you politely to stick it in your ear.

We bought an Asko dishwasher 2 years ago and it has failed to wash dishes properly since new. We have been trying to seek a resolution for this problem for years and have been fobbed off with a list of reasons for why the problems exist. On the first callout, the technician altered the water level. They have said that Asko deliberately set water levels low so Asko can get a better water efficiency rating. We have been told that Asko is not made for Australian conditions, they have suggested that we use too little or too much powder, there may be blockages or twists in hoses. Apparently they found fault in the motherboard which was changed, now they say it is the heating module. NONE of these fixes have solved the problem and the service department are difficult to get hold of and one was actually rude. At this point, we would definitely not recommend buying an Asko dishwasher.

We replaced our old ~10 yr dishwasher because some rust was beginning in it, with a new ~1000 dollar Asko dishwasher... if I could get the old dishwasher back, I would. The Asko dishwasher will probably rank high in all categories except for one, it does not wash the dishes very good. Yes, it is quiet; yes it uses less water; but it does not clean your dishes very well * AND * it takes a LONG time doing a bad dish washing job too (2.5 to 3.5 hours). ASKO dishwasher came with the home we bought. I cannot wait for it to die and because of that it will probably work forever to spite me. It does not clean dishes/glasses on top or bottom racks... silverware is spotty. The supporting prongs on the bottom rack are not tall enough to support plates or bowls so they are constantly falling onto each other cutting off water/soap flow. I tried cleaning different detergents which did nothing. After running numerous cycles I noticed that the bottom spray arm was the only one spinning during the cycle, this was in January 2020. A technician came by to diagnose the issue February 03. He said it would be a week to get the parts. The part arrived a few months later and he came by again on April 17 and told me he needed more parts and it would be about a week to get in. It’s now May 12 and nothing yet. It will cost $300 to replace the racks! My GE dishwasher in my old house was still there when I sold the house 17 years later, without repairs to the DW. Currently, there is an ad from my local dealer offering an $849 Bosch dishwasher for $499. Why would I ever replace the Asko racks when I can get the new Bosch? It has a little tray to put sharp knives in. You can wash top or bottom shelf. The silverware basket can be removed-easier to put the silverware away. Dishes have always come out clean!

Terrible experience with Asko D5233. So disappointed in this dishwasher. We purchased it due to salesperson recommendation and a general appreciation for Swedish-made products. Our dishwasher needed multiple repairs within the first year - the only Asko-approved repair company came out and claimed there was nothing wrong, but we could see that there was food left on plates and major spotting. Repair person blamed it on the fact that the hot water took too long to get to the washer. Ridiculous, but we ran the hot water at the sink until it was hot, then ran the dishwasher and we got the same results. Next the repair company suggested we had to first wash the dishes by hand and then put them in the dishwasher for a full cleaning. Complaints to Asko went absolutely nowhere. Asko refused to offer any solution. We spent over $800 on multiple repair visits and essentially gave up. We no longer use the dishwasher except as an overflow dish drainer to get our dishes dry.
