I’ve had a Fisher & Paykel set since 1999. I don’t know about now but the dryer I have is actually made by GE (General Electric). As at that time they didn’t make dryers. I have never had a problem with the dryer. When I bought the set from an appliance dealer, they told me it was easy and inexpensive to work on the washer, and the dryer was a GE. I had to replace the control panel on the washer, around 10 years in as I think lightning hit it. It was plug and play. I put it on and the part was $80. I let one of those color Catcher sheets get into my pump, as I tried to save and cut one in half for a small load, that caused a problem. Had to get it removed by a repairman. I would never buy an appliance from Lowe’s or Home Depot. Actually only an appliance store that has service department. You may save a little, but you lose it quickly down the road. It seems odd that 7 people on here have complaints. Fisher & Payless is actually made in New Zealand. I haven’t needed to call in 10 years, but the last time I spoke to someone in New Zealand. I wanted a Maytag when I bought this set, but they are no longer in business. They were bought out by Whirlpool. Too many problems with their products. I try to buy top of the line.... My builder put GE Profile appliances in my house, and they have been fine since 1999. However I do take care of my things, and they take care of me. Something I was taught by my parents 50+ years ago....

I was hesitant to buy a Fisher&Paykel refrigerator; I did not know the brand at all. But with the existing dimensions I had to work with, this was the only brand that would fit. I have been pleasantly surprised. Runs great so far, plenty of room, looks sleek and elegant, and my electric is down by 1/3!! I have only had it for six months, but so far so good.

Can I give 0 stars? I feel I was duped by the sleek look and promised amazing performance of this oven (Double Wall Oven WODV30). It is gorgeous, and I fell victim to the wonderfully smooth roll out racks, 12 settings for each oven (top and bottom), and supposed long, worry-free life. I had this oven installed in my newly renovated kitchen in October 2014. It worked super for three months. I am a light-use household consumer, just a regular mom trying to feed my family of 5; nothing fancy, nothing commercial. It then blew out a circuit board in January 2015. The oven went completely haywire. Okay, maybe a lemon you say? Do you know what then happened with DCS wonderful customer service for my $5000.00 oven? It took them 3 weeks to send out a replacement part. A new circuit board, which BLEW as soon as the tech (who has much experience w/ DCS and FP) installed it. Then do you know what happened? It took 3 more weeks for me to fight with my appliance company and DCS to get them to acknowledge they did not know what was wrong with my oven, why it originally blew its original circuit board, and why the new circuit board blew immediately. Yes, smoke was coming off the board, and the tech was flabbergasted. So, yes, dear reader, I was without an oven for SIX WEEKS from January until March. No baking, no roasting, no family dinners, no desserts, NOTHING. It took 3 weeks for my entire kitchen renov in the first place, then 3 months later, SIX WEEKS, no oven. Tsk, tsk DCS!! For a $5000 oven! And to top it off, after my fight to get them to send a new, replacement oven, guess what? The top door has damage to the metal frame around the glass door; there is permanent marring of the metal and something between the glass. Luckily, this is covered under their 90 day cosmetic warranty. I hope that everyone reading this thinks twice about this product. On another note, my 5 burner cook top from DCS is awesome, but how can you get gas burners wrong, really. STAY AWAY.

Okay, so the repairman finally came through with the list of all the parts needed for the job! Wow you wouldnt think an authorized dealer would take so long to communicate with Fisher and Paykel, but I must say, once he did the company came through and backed their product. Our ovens are set to be repaired as soon as the parts come in and without charge. I will re-post after the job is complete. But so far so good. Very impressed with customer service rep.

I wanted the tri-folder, the French door refrigerator, and when I found out that a full-sized one would not fit in my house, I started looking for the counter-depth one and I happened upon the Fisher&Paykel. I like to shop through Lowes because of their stuff and I found out Lowes sold them and serviced them. But they really should have one on display so people can see them and see what they look like. Because you really have to see it to appreciate it. So I contacted a Fisher&Paykel place out in California and asked them some questions and I told them I wanted to see one first. They sent me some sites by Lancaster, PA which I ended going to Mount Joy to see one on display but I didn’t buy it from them. I ended up going to it was like an Ace hardware store that sold the appliances... And oh my God, I love it! My Fisher&Paykel refrigerator performs beautifully and its sleek. Even the delivery guys had never seen one or heard of them before and they were just all over it, looking at it and thought how nice it was. And the size of it is just fine for everything for where its at. Anyone looking for one especially for a counter-depth would be worth their while to check this Fisher&Paykel refrigerator out.

Our Fisher and Paykel Washsmart top loading clothes washer is still in warranty and the pump failed. After 4 days a Fisher and Paykel service representative arrived, gave the machine a shake and the pump began to work again. Two weeks later, the pump failed again. We now have to wait 6 days to get a service representative for a machine that has been looked after immaculately. Does anyone have had the same experience, and is there a simple remedy?

Yes, I will be responsible for what I write against a Fisher Paykel Dryer. I purchased a brand new washer & dryer on 4/13/2010 & I also purchased a 10 year warranty & I have nothing but trouble since I bought this brand. I am very disgusted with it. I will never purchase this brand again. I have friends that have had their other brands of washer & dryers for 25 + years, I havent had these since 2010, & am ready to go out & buy another brand, BUT, Fisher Paykel should pay for another purchase for me. As I said before, I never should have wasted my money, almost $800.00 a piece, wasted. Very Upset Consumer. I bought these from Ralphs appliance, Tiffin, Ohio.

My F&P oven was new when I purchased my apartment in 2017. A year later, I experienced problems with the interior lights and the glass ceiling that protected the roasting elements. F&P directed me to their authorized repair company in South Florida, Appliance Service Group, Inc. of Pembroke Pines, FL. I paid them over $800 in advance on Feb. 1, 2019 (they told me that the warranty was for only 1 year, when it is 2 years but F&P finally agreed to honor the warranty after I contacted them). However, my oven still has not been fixed as of April 17, 2019 - a 2 1/2 month delay. ASG has told me several lies about the delay....a part is on backorder, the wrong part was ordered, the part had to come from NZ, etc. I have been promised on several occasions that it would be repaired within 5 to 7 business days. It hasnt and for over 2 1/2 months I have been without the use of my oven. F&P and its authorized service agents are not to be trusted.

Fisher & Paykel quicksmart washing machine front loader. Since getting this machine around 2 years ago, it hardly ever goes through a full cycle without an error blip, usually 37, or suds or just err flashing and blipping, it drives me crazy. I started using a natural very low suds home made powder and it stopped the blipping for a while, but now its back, and the drainage hose near the filter has never worked. I will never buy a Fisher & Paykel anything ever again.

On December 4, 2013, I wrote a review of this gas range and expressed my concern about being abandoned by the manufacturer and left with a stove that could not be repaired. We knew our stove was out of warranty, we were just shocked that we had been told by their local repair company that it could not be repaired. In response to that post, we were contacted by the manufacturer who came to our aid and not only found the solution, but had our stove fixed without charge. So Fisher Paykel has gone beyond the call of duty here, and we certainly appreciate their reaching out to consumers of their product. Thank you.

I saw Fisher Paykel through Consumer Reports years ago. Im a repeat customer of that company. Its my third or fourth purchase with them - the latest being a washer and dryer. Their lifespan isnt as long as it used to be. Theyre not built like they were back 25 years ago when you could have one for 20 years. Not so much plastic should be used in manufacturing some of the push buttons and things that tend to break or wear out over time. The whole face is plastic and the face tends to crack on the buttons that you use consistently. There should be more flexibility in the fabric that theyre using for those push buttons. Theyre pretty simple machines. The noise level on the washer is pretty high. It sounds like you have an airplane in your house. Besides that and things breaking that are too expensive to repair, theyre fine. They wash the clothes and they get them clean. Thats all I can ask for.

Tonight is the third time that my washer has stopped working. It does not drain now and will not power on. This washer has been nothing but trouble since purchased. I regret ever getting rid of my old washer. It was dependable. I think this is a sub-standard product and after reading the reviews here, I see that I am not the only person that feels this way. You should not have to have service on such a new product as often as you do on this. I am in good mind to just junk it and go buy a cheap regular washer that I can depend on. I am very frustrated and I am telling everyone that I know to stay away from this product. I have called customer service and left messages, but so far I have not had a return call. I absolutely hated the Maxima Maytag set that I had gotten and had been a Maytag person for about 30 years. I actually got rid of it, a very recent purchase of a Maytag frontloading set, because I didn’t like them at all and I like this Fisher & Paykel top loading set a lot. I love it! I’m really pleased with the purchase. It’s much more efficient. It’s easy, easy, easy, easy to use, not complicated at all. I like the fact that it’s simple and that it doesn’t have a lot of extras that I don’t need and would never use. But actually, even as it is, it has more than I use now, but it’s good. Space-wise, it’s not as deep, which is great, because in my case, I was kind of surprised by the depth of the front loader and it was inconvenient because it got in our way. So that was another reason why I got rid of the other one. And I’d only had the other set for a year. There’s two comments that I’d like to make with this F&P set… First thing is that I’m unhappy not being able to soak clothes because that’s a nuisance. I’m used to old top loaders where you could fill up the tub, put some bleach in there and soak it overnight, and you can’t do that with this. And unless there’s a way that I can be taught how to do it, I actually called the main headquarters and they simply said it wasn’t possible. Secondly, I’m not sure if it’s what I’ve been using for laundry soap, but it seems like things are a little dingier than they used to be. I’m not sure. I think that might be the soap that I’m using. It’s the whites aren’t getting as white as I’m used to. But I don’t think that’s the washing machine; I think that’s my products. The cleaning products that I use, I’ve always made my own, and I’ve never had a problem with things getting completely clean before and it seems like maybe there’s a residue because they’re not using as much water. And so, I changed back to the high efficiency stuff and everything seems just fine, but it’s a lot more expensive than what I do. Overall, it’s a great machine!

We purchased this very expensive machine and it simply does NOT clean dishes well. We had the dealer out multiple times (they were great) - 2 of those so he could call FP technicians and work with them. I always had to call FP back. They asked me to get the dealer back out - the dealer said no. FP said they would elevate to DM and after 2 months (called back twice) I called again and got disconnected after waiting 20 minutes. My 30 year old Maytag cleans better. The rack broke as well on the FP. The people on the phone were nice - no one ever followed up and bothers calling back when they disconnect you. I would never buy their brand again. The machine is pretty but poorly designed - unless you have tiny, thin dishes there is no way to pack it without things touching and they will tell you that is why it is not clean. First - bad designed racks. Second that is simply not true - I am sure it would clean better but I know how I could stuff the heck out of my Maytag and it always cleaned. I started packing their half full to test their theory and I still got uncleaned, grimy, crusty dishes. Bad product - Worse Service. I cant afford a new one. I spent the extra money on this b/c I figured it would save money. I might as well do the dishes by hand.

I purchased Fisher&Paykel Refrigerator (model E522BRXFD) Oct. 2011 for its look and fit into my kitchen space. It turned out to be a serious mistake. Two years after the purchase, the plastic drain pan of the frig broke, which let water flow over my brand new hardwood floor for days. Not even three years after the purchase, the frig stopped working. The freezer part seems OK, but the frig compartment no longer cools even I put the temperature control dial to the lowest level. I called Fisher/Paykel and the answer was their repair technician was busy and I have to wait for a week for an appointment. Now I am stuck with a broken frig. Fisher Paykel DCS Counter Depth Refrigerator - I am absolutely BEYOND frustrated with this brand! Since last October I have had no less than eight, EIGHT, service calls to sort out why my ice maker drops ice cubes into the receptacle below that are freeze together. The ice that comes out of the cube tray is not frozen fully...therefore it becomes a big lump in my freezer. In order to get ice, we have to stab at it with a big knife. NOT SAFE to say the least. I have had two repair companies come to the house. Theyve called FP techs while at my house to go over the issue. The techs advice this last time was to adjust the temperature. (Or to tell me I dont close the freezer door...sorry on that one...it ain’t the problem or I would have had this issue all along.) I also dont overload my refrigerator or freezer door. Its not my first rodeo with an upscale appliance. If I could, I would dump this lemon on the sidewalk. But since my fridge surround was built for it...I am stuck. I have held back my comments for months, but as of yesterday, I am not doing that any longer. I have listened in to the FP Tech calls to the repairman. The first tech was so incredibly rude and insulting I wanted to take the phone from the poor repair guy and give him a piece of my mind. The second tech said, “Oh, just adjust the temp to a warmer temp,” Really? (Why is he a tech?) Did he not understand that the ice is NOT FROZEN all the way when it drops into the bin? The icemaker was replaced fully several visits ago...its something else and frankly, I dont believe for a quick second that its something the tech guys has never heard of before. Im not a repairman, I am a consumer. A very smart consumer that knows the buck is being passed. I paid $600 for an extended warranty on this unit. I expect the darn thing to work properly. If it cannot be repaired the FP needs to come forward and deliver a new one to me. I will simply not buy, nor ever recommend, this brand again. I would be disingenuous. If no one can repair it, not even the trained FP guys with the tech on the phone...I have no faith. Zero. So sad.

In terms of performance, there are some good things about it and there are some things I’ve been disappointed about it. I like the quality of the shelving, that it’s glass and that there’s metal on the doors. The fan inside the refrigerator is a little loud, that’s one of my complaints. The other complaint is that it doesn’t make very much place and I wish the freezer was a little larger. It’s kind of funny, sort of V shaped. Because of that, it doesnt hold as much as it could than if it was more like a traditional square shape. This F&P refrigerator did not meet my expectations considering the price.

On August 10, 2012, I posted a review about my dissatisfaction with my dryer. At the time, I was awaiting my fifth service call to have the bearings replaced. By the way, my dryer is 5 1/2 years old. To give Fisher Paykel their due, the company agreed to pay more than half the cost of the repair since I had already spent over $200.00 on prior service calls and repairs. After waiting for the parts to arrive and arranging a time for the technician to return to do the work, my dryer was finally fixed last week. This past Sunday, I decided to do a few loads of laundry and lo and behold, my washer broke (also 5 1/2 years old). Its no fun trying to wring out sopping wet clothes and then finding a place to hang them. The technician left a few hours ago and my washer needs a new pump. I wonder how much thats going to cost. I spent too much money on poor quality products. Perhaps its time to go back to the old-fashioned scrub board and clothesline. When I spoke with Fisher and Paykels customer service representative about my dryer, she was very nice and sympathetic. But being told that bearings wear out like they do in a car was not a good analogy. My dryer certainly does not take the stress and use like my car does. If I had the energy, I would call the company again to verbally air my dissatisfaction with my washer, but another analogy like that would probably send me over the edge and the automated responses to the reviews are inane. Why doesnt the company contact me? They have my contact information. Fisher and Paykel strikes again!

We purchased the Fisher and Paykel EcoSmart Washer and Dryer set from Lowe’s in November of 2008. Last year, I had a problem with the dryer drying the clothes. After two weeks, the repairman finally arrived and fixed the problem within 10 minutes by flipping the safety switch. I wish someone would’ve just told me what to do to fix the problem. Now, I have had no problems with either since then and I love my washer and dryer. Tonight, I went to take the clothes out of the dryer and notice water on the top rim and dripping down the front of the outside drum. I’m wondering if this is a problem thats an easy fix, like my dryer was, or will it be necessary for me to wait possibly two weeks for a repairman to come see about it. My husband is in Afghanistan working and I have three kids, if that lets you know how bad I need my washer. Thank you and I look forward to your response.

The washer is quiet and convenient. We are able to run two loads at the same time, but with different cycles. The drawers are great also because we can do smaller loads of dishes and while one drawer is running we can fill the other. Another great feature is the stainless steal finish - it doesnt mark. You can literally rub your hands all over it and it wont mark. Friends of ours have a Bosch - nice washer but it always looks dirty because of fingerprints all over it. (They have kids.) My parents also have a Bosch and they have to clean it once per week or so. Our unit is DD24DDFX7. Highly recommended!

We bought a first generation Fisher & Paykel double drawer dishwasher when we had our condo built back in 2000. We replaced it with a new Fisher & Paykel unit since the one that we had had a lot of quirk things about it and they were becoming too much of a challenge for us to deal with. We chose this model because my husband and I are empty nesters and we liked the idea of having a smaller dishwasher to fill and run rather than having to put every dish we own over a course of two weeks into a single regular size dishwasher. Our favorite feature is its two drawers. One of them is a deeper drawer that can easily handle big plates and platters. Its very quiet. It is water efficient. Its very attractive to look at. Theres nothing about the dishwasher that to me represents either a negative or settling for something. Its just absolutely perfect for us in every way. We are extremely happy with the product.

I purchased a Fisher Paykel dishwasher 6 months ago. I took out a store credit card and paid it off in 6 mo. The last time I turned the dishwasher on it started flashing and did not work, and then turned completely shut off, never to turn on again. I am not on week 7 -without a working dishwasher, I have spent countless hours calling fisher Paykel, at first they sent a repairman out asap, only because they tried to say it would take 1 week, I said that was unacceptable - he came the next day, only to tell me that he needed a part, came back 1 week later. My husband called me and told me the dishwasher could not be fixed and that it would need to be replaced. One week went by, I called the customer service number, on hold for 40 minutes. I was told the new dishwasher request had been denied. It took hours to get the supervisor Richard to call me back. He said he did not know why it had been denied, though I was told he was the person who denied it and he said that he would order me a new dishwasher, that he was a consumer and understood how things went wrong in this day and age. A few days later I heard from the appliance store where I bought the dishwasher and was told it would take 1-2 weeks. It has now been over 2 weeks, so I called this morning, on hold for 40 minutes, spoke w/ Cindy. She said I would be updated today. I called Richard 2 days prior and left him a message the next day too, never returned my call. Today he called me, I missed his call, emailed me he was in meetings and unreachable. Did not hear from Fisher Paykel, so I called the appliance store. They told me Fisher Paykel said the dishwasher was sent to be there on July 23. Today is July 28, and it is not there. We have a problem, not like Fisher Paykel has noticed. I called Fisher Paykel around 4pm, got through immediately, spoke w/ Cindy. She said that I was not speaking to her in a nice way. I explained how frustrating it has been dealing w/ her company and nobody follows through. She said she was going to follow up w/ Richard and get back to me. Never heard from her. This is has been a horrible experience - I have wasted countless hours on this issue. I am still without a dishwasher and am shocked at the horrible customer service. This is a very expensive appliance. I expected so much more. This is the 3rd dishwasher in 17years, all Fisher Paykel dishwashers that I have replaced. I should have learned my lesson.

I bought a Fisher and Paykel dishwasher DishDrawer. The brand is very expensive, but I liked the DishDrawer feature and I was willing to pay more thinking it was a good and reputable brand. It turned out to be nothing but trouble. Countless service calls later and I finally gave up about two years ago and started washing dishes by hand. I bought this unit when I was remodeling my kitchen, so I decided to buy the unit that allows you to put the custom cabinet panels on it. So, I wasted the money not only on the dishwasher, but also on the custom cabinet panels. Not only that, but simply replacing the unit would not just be an extra expense I could not afford, but it would also change the look of my kitchen, which I spent so much time and money remodeling. Every time I would call the one and only service company in town to come out, it would work only slightly better and soon stop working again. It never seemed to work at 100% capacity. I think I spent more money on service calls than the actual appliance. How sad is that.

This is the second FP washer owned but this time, we bought the new high efficiency one! Clothes often come out with black, greasy, soapy streaks on them, sometimes permanent staining. We use the recommended HE detergent and barely reach line 1 on the cap (any more causes loads of foam and machine to complain). Agren Appliances, from whom we bought the machine, sent out a technician to take a look but no remedy found. We have taken the damaged clothing to them and shown them what happens. They kindly gave us some powder detergent but the FP booklet recommends HE liquid detergent only. On calling FP customer service, we were told we were probably using too much detergent. Ha, if we use any less, we wonder whether our clothes will actually be cleaned! So what do we do? This machine is less than 1 year old and its a disaster. There is no support from the store we bought it from (despite having taken out extra service warranty) and FP doesnt want to help either. Surely, a machine cannot be HE if after washing it leaves clothes with dark streaks on them, hence needing a second wash! I dont see the efficiency in that! There seems to be little option other than to take it to the scrap heap and buy a new machine, different brand naturally. Hunk of junk, never to be recommended to anyone.

I have to say this is the worst dishwasher I have ever had. It does not clean dishes. The detergent does not dissolve. The draw smells like rotten eggs. The customer service from the company is one of the worst reps I have ever dealt with. When I put the dishwasher on the 30 minute cycle my dishes are dirty and the dishwasher does not get really hot. I just purchased a new Fisher & Paykel washer and dryer. This is my second pair. My previous set I placed in a rental and decided to get a new set for myself. I had few problems with my older units. I understand my older dryer was actually made by an American company with a Fisher & Paykel nameplate. The new Fisher & Paykel set is a big step backwards for this manufacturer. The new washing machine is noisy and clanks when washing. I don’t know the cause but am assuming it is due to the tub not having a center post in the middle. The control panel has changed too. I would much prefer to be able to just push warm soak or hot wash or cold rinse, rather than pick thru the heavy, bulk, sheet buttons to try and get the wash settings I want. Now, the new dryer is something else altogether! I have a service man coming out to check on the top of the new dryer. This will be his second time out. The top seems to get in the way of the rotating drum and goes boom, boom, and boom every time the dryer drum turns during drying. The tops are flimsy plastic. I have a feeling it warps after being heated when the dryer is on high or low heat or the tops are not properly designed. A top loading dryer was an interesting idea but just wasnt pulled off well. Just buy a front loading dryer. I also have bubbles behind control panel masking. I would suggest interested buyers go to Consumer Reports Magazine and read further evaluations of washer and dryers.

I have a washer and dryer set that I have had for a few years. It has not been anything but trouble since I have had them. The washer has been worked on twice and once the repairman left off a hose and water filled my floor and messed up some of my flooring. Then the dryer had been worked on two or three times and right now it sounds like the whole drum is about to come out. I am tired of having to call a repairman to take care of problems. I tried to tell the people that I bought it from that I thought it was a lemon from the get go, because I had not had it maybe 1 month when it had to be worked on the first time. I would not recommend anyone to buy your products, because I have been very disappointed with your products. I still say that I have a lemon and that I should have been given another one in the beginning. That is what happens when you buy a lemon automobile. Appliances cost too much these days to have to keep having them repaired, because the average person nowadays have been cut back in their pay checks and are not able to afford repair bills.

Now as you are now aware, the initial report was due to the fridge freezer
Now as you are now aware, the initial report was due to the fridge freezer over icing around the fan area on the rear panel. In memory all that was fixed was the rear panel. The fan cover/vent was not even replaced and was left without one. I dont believe anything was done about the over icing of the back fan area. Then in late September 15 my customer reports the freezer is still defrosting intermittently throughout the many months, but only occasionally. So in September your serviceman visits and says its the door hinge/latch not closing properly causing the light to come on and thus defrosting the freezer. So he fixes it, then the problem continues. So then he orders new hinge latch parts and replaces it and the problem continues. Meanwhile the month and another month has gone by where my customer has a freezer which is defrosting all her food. Food is expensive and she has 6 children and is pregnant. So by now I have spoken to management in your service department a several times to discuss a fast solution. To be informed nothing can be done except send another service man out to fix it.I requested a different serviceman as he has not been able to fix the problem, always stating it is the door hinge/latch. I think he has been there 5 times now. Your management team advises me the serviceman is the person who decides if the fridge can be fixed or not. If he states it cant then the item will be replaced or refunded. (The technician states he is not allowed to report it cant be fixed. He HAS to fix it!!!) So now we are in December the heat is coming in, xmas food needs cooling and the fridge is not keeping the food cold enough either. The lady is pregnant and concerned she may get sick from food/dairy that is not being cooled effectively. So last week I asked management to send another technician. They said this was not possible but they will instruct the technician to ring the service team to discuss the fridge while he was there, to insure the fridge was assessed correctly. To ensure this was going to happen I, the manager of the appliance rental company, attended todays visit to hopefully finalise this ongoing saga. The technician immediately commented on the hinge/latch again.I reported to him that the new parts he replaced did not fix the freezer door coming ajar when the fridge door closed, because I myself checked the problem the very evening he fixed it. And the problem was not any better. I advised of him having to ring the service team while we were all present. He said he had no instruction to do so. But he did, which was a waste of time because your phone service consistently takes close to an hour to speak to someone. I know because I have had to ring this department many times now.So I communicated I dont believe the door is the initial issue. It may be now as it has been tampered with a few times to fix it. Much to his frustration he started to investigate into the freezer. Oh he reports the fan has been intermittently turning off/ not working, therefore this would defrost the fridge slightly and intermittently. I looked in and the fan area, behind the rear panel was solidly blocked with ice, preventing the fan to turn even if it did work intermittently. He says thats ok we will just order all these parts and replace them in a few weeks. When the fan was reported faulty/broken I believe this was the cause of the very first problem back in October 14 and explains why the freezer has been intermittently defrosting. Your technician said it himself. MEANWHILE the lady is losing all her food (which is expensive), the heat is upon us and christmas is here. AND WE ARE STILL WAITING for a fridge to be working. The lady also wants to be reimbursed for food expenses as her patience has also run out. Initially I wanted the fridge replaced. Now after months of ineffective service, I am expecting a refund as it would be bad business to purchase/rent any of Fisher and Paykel appliances simply due to your warranty service procedures. So what to do now? As it is now heading into the 4th month and I think the 5th visit to fix this fridge, and it is still not fixed, I have no more patience. I will not be ringing anymore to be told all you can do is send the technician out again, to assess and fix it. This seems to be the solution even when the fridge is not being fixed. Please consider this email as a formal complaint to be forwarded to the relevant department. Please also be informed I will be sending this email to Consumer Affairs and providing feedback on Fisher and Paykels Facebook on the very poor warranty service provided by your team.I have been continually bumped to alternative team members whom contradict what can be done about FIXING this fridge. I am an appliance rental company whom purchases a lot of appliances. Under no circumstances will I purchase another appliance manufactured by Fisher & Paykel. I will also be informing the 110 franchisees of the ineffective warranty service your company provides. In our business warranty work costs us time, money and sales!

In April we purchased a $2000 Fisher Paykel fridge with water and ice maker. We quickly realized the door did not close properly and was misaligned as the water/ice maker worked roughly one week on one week off. We called our dealer and they sent out a service representative who told us the water/ice maker could be replaced but he didnt know how to fix the misalignment of the door. He said he would get back to me. By late July nothing had happened and he basically washed his hands of it telling me the Fisher Paykel regional manager had ordered parts and would get back to us. By late September the parts had still not arrived so we started contacting Fisher Paykel America for help. They kept referring everything back to the regional manager who, for some reason, refused to contact us with updates. We were still waiting for a fix when they told us in October that the fridge misalignment could not be fixed. We asked for another fridge and was told that they didnt make this model any more and the closest model that would fit in our space was $500 more and was 0.5 cu. feet smaller. I asked that they replace our fridge with this one at no extra cost and they refused only offering an in-store credit for the original amount. Sorry I expect more for all the grief and inconvenience they have cased us.

We went to an appliance store down in Houston and we had tested several washers. Fisher Paykel is what we first bought. We found out the ease of the repair and the warranty so we bought a washer. And then my dishwasher went out and I needed a new one so we went to the same place. Since we had such good luck with the washing machine, we went with the dishwasher also. I love the new models - love the efficiency. I love that they dont use a whole lot of water or energy and the results of the clean are as good, if not better, than a model that uses all the water and all the electricity. It doesnt cost me a million dollar to have them repaired. My experience has been fantastic. Ive had one problem with my washing machine and it was very easy to take a part and we found a YouTube video and took it apart and replaced the part ourselves. So instead of having someone come out and we have to pay them $120 just to look at it, for $60 for the part and everything, it was done and over within 15 minutes.

I have had my Fisher Paykel Dishwasher for about 10 years. I absolutely love the concept of two drawers for washing dishes since I always have an empty washer that I can load. But I have to admit I have not been 100% satisfied with the unit. The top washer has always had issues and I have had it serviced almost every year for the last 10 years. Most of the time it will beep and stop running through the cycle for no reason. And even when it does run through the cycle, some of the dishes will need to be run again. It is not always super clean as I would expect from a good dishwasher. I am told that the newer models do not have the computer at the bottom of both drawers, which causes it to short circuit a lot. I hope the newer models are better at cleaning the dishes than mine is.

I bought a FP two-drawer dishwasher about 5 years ago. It cost me a small fortune! We had our cabinets custom made to fit the FP dishwasher. It has been nothing but problems since the moment we got it. Now, it is on its last legs. It constantly fills up with water and my husband has to take the drawers out and wet-vac it, then put a de-humidifier in front of it for at least 24hrs. Once it is finally dry, he has to go into the basement and turn the electricity back on (which he shuts off to do this whole drying process). Inevitably, after one or two cycles it fills with water again and starts beeping. The beeping does not stop until we shut the power off again in the basement. The process repeats endlessly. We have had repairmen look at it and they say they see it all the time and there is nothing they can do with FP products, they are just not made well. My mother has had the same cheap Sears dishwasher for almost 30 years! I would love to replace it but I resent the fact that I paid so much for it and it is junk. Plus, Im afraid I will have to buy the same one again since my cabinets were specially designed to fit that model and I am afraid I will have the same problems with a new one.

The repair service did not work out well, so I called again and Lisette assured me she would take care of everything to my satisfaction. She contacted a different repair service that did a fantastic job and F&P paid for all of the parts. I cannot say enough about F&P Customer Service and especially Lisette. She was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this company and appliance. I have purchased many brands of appliances throughout my lifetime and I have never had such a positive experience as I did with this company. Washer eco boost: It gets out of balance all the time. It throws water on the floor. The panel does not work all the time. Now it wont power on. It’s a little over 2 years old. I’m not happy. My hubby is really not happy, especially with a load of wet clothes in the tub. It’s junk!

My husband is from Australia and we heard about Fisher and Paykel there. We have a washing machine that weve had for some time and we recently purchased the dishwasher. In general, theyre performing fine but Ive actually just started having some difficulty with the Fisher and Paykel dishwasher in terms of the plastic connectors that are inside the drawer, the ones that are supposed to be holding the glasses. Im happy with them but I think theyre extremely pricey.

Very disappointed in the top load dryer. My in-laws moved in with their dryer. This dryer has had service repairs two times in the first year they owned it. Now we are using it as well and the one-year warranty is up. They told us that the last time a service man came out, he showed them where the reset switch is. Apparently, every so often, the heat stops working, and the reset switch has to be reset. So it has been two months now, and I have had to reset the switch three times. This is just a ridiculously faulty product, and Im truly concerned; there is a fire hazard with some sort of electrical issue with this dryer. I am getting rid of it ASAP and going back to Maytag, which I might add, I had a Maytag washer for 10 years and a Maytag dryer for 15 years and never once had a repair to them. Now that is true quality.

I got the refrigerator from Fisher and Paykel because it was the only one that fit. They should keep making them because a lot of people dont want to gut their kitchen in order to buy a refrigerator. It is excellent and everything seems to last longer. Its a better refrigerator but it makes strange noises which it has made it since day one. You dont hear it running but I think its gearing up to run. So it must be normal noise. I even had to buy the floor model because the place where I got it didnt know how to order them and they didnt even know what price to charge me. It fits a standard, old-fashioned, standard cabinet height. These new refrigerators that are fancy and glitz are too big for a normal house unless youre a millionaire.

We bought a F&P washer and dryer a couple of years ago and have had trouble since day one! We have spent several hundred dollars in repairs with much frustration! The washer went first. Of course, it was my fault because a dime was left in pants pocket by accident and sent the whole machine into a tailspin! With conventional machines, that wouldnt have been an issue! Then, the fins on the rotator broke off and was cutting into my clothes as I washed them! Then, bearings went out on my dryer and ruined 2 loads of clothes with black grease before I realized what it was! Now, 2 weeks ago, element and thermostat had to be repaired after a week of laundry piled up! I still have the bill for over $200. I havent even had a chance to pay yet and now the lint bucket is stuck! Seems like it should be an easy thing to fix but with all of the smarts of the machine, its probably something to do with electronics not releasing it. I am so disappointed in these products. Something big would have to happen to make me ever buy another F&P product! I had a good ole Maytag washer and dryer before and used it for many, many years with no issues. My husband wanted me to upgrade, now I wish I hadnt given my Maytags away as they are still working great for my son who had just bought his first home!

I had a Fisher & Paykel drawer dishwasher, and when we upgraded our kitchen the theme was steel. We just went with the same brand because we really liked it. I liked the style and the refrigerator seemed to have the most room inside it for a counter-depth refrigerator. I had a counter-depth fridge before and you couldnt get anything in it. It was ridiculous. This one just seems to have a lot more room because the water and stuff are not bulky in the door unlike other refrigerators. The Fisher appliances are nice, with clean lines. We dont need all the bells and whistles. I just want things with space that are clean and seem to work really well. I love the gas range. It seems to have lots of space inside the oven. I enjoy the appliances. Im pleasantly surprised with them.

I didnt want something with ice on the door but I liked the idea of an ice maker in the freezer and water in the door. Ive never seen one that does that. I did have an issue with the refrigerator but they were very responsive and helped to get it taken care of. Ill know better as time goes on how long itll last and stuff but so far I would recommend them.

We purchased our Fisher & Paykel set in 2005. We purchased the washer first as our GE model took a dive after 12 years of faithful, service-free service. The dryer caved about 5 months later and we replaced with the Fisher & Paykel ECOSMART for $825!!! Now, we are usually not people to splurge on this stuff. Our GEs did great so we took some convincing to upgrade, but we did. In hindsight, I should have taken the $400 GE and 12 more years of service-free service over the FP. Our first service call was in 2008 because the bearings went. We had 2 more service calls to replace those again and again since then along with a service call for a vent issue, a heating issue and now a fan issue. 5 calls in 8 years at $75 a pop PLUS parts, todays call was $200 total!!! This dryer has cost us close to $2,000 in 8 years...no dryer is worth that when it comes with problems, service calls, replacement parts, and a not-so friendly customer service person who my husband just hung up with. DO NOT BUY ONE!!!!

I tried to contact the company to complain but mysteriously, I was disconnected three times! I am expressing my concern and frustration with Fisher Paykel. I lodged call on the 6/3/2017 as my Fisher Paykel washing machine MW513 was leaking. I did a number of tests to see where the water was coming from and it all directed back to the washing machine. When the washing machine was on high (with clothes in it), it would start leaking from the washing to rinse cycle onwards. (this was clarified to Fisher Paykel on my phone call). When they had initially sent someone out here there was a lot of mucking around and the technician was meant to come on Friday 10/3/2017, he ended going to the wrong place and cancelling my job, which then led to a series of mistakes on FP end. This led to a number of phone calls and a lot of time out from work to rectify their mistake. They then had to send a new technician the following week (16/03/2017), whereby my mum was here and explained and showed the technician the photos and his response to her was when we wash the clothes on high place the same amount of clothes to the equivalent amount of water and do the cycle. When he conducted his tests there was no water leaking, as he never tried it with the clothes inside. He then cut the pipe shorter as he advised my mum it was too long. He then left for the next job. I came home and did exactly what he said (also advised in his job summary report to me) and again, the leakage started. I then called FP and advised what occurred and what the tech said to my mum.Over the phone they were going to take over 1.5 weeks to come and service my machine when I also advised that a small tile was starting to lift and causing water damage. The after-hours lady told me to call back the next business day as she couldnt do anything about it but could only book the appointment in. I called back the next day and advised the same thing, to which the gentlemen said he will make this a high priority (again to no avail and to a number of mistakes where they had a dryer to service instead of washing machine). A number of calls later and a different tech guy came out on the 22/3/2017. When he came I was here and advised him all of the above and advised for him to see the photos which he never wanted to and stated he believed me. He ran two water tests on high and no leakage happened (these were fast tracked from filling up the washing machine to the spin cycle, missing the washing rinse part).I did state to him that the leak ONLY happens when the water and clothes are in the machine and set on high. He still never put any clothes in. His advice to me was to wash my clothes on medium or low and the splash backs will not occur. If that was the case what is the relevance of buying a washing machine to only put the machine on medium and low? After he had left I called the customer service line 22/3/2017 (as clearly I was disappointed, stressed and upset), to which the customer service boy was very rude and basically stated that I am lying. The reason being is I advised him what happened and that I had photos of this and his response was anyone can take a photo and pretend their washing machine is leaking. I do not believe this is the way to address someone who is already stressed out that her apartment is going to flood and cause damage to below / surrounding apartments, as well as my own.I was then told by the same person to wash my clothes again and video it. I said I am a woman and I cannot lift the washing machine as it is heavy and you are now asking me to have the same leak occur and for me to clean up the mess yet again? His response was like yeah. What kind of people are they employing and how can they even think of treating their customers like this and getting away with it? I have already taken numerous time of out of work and constantly have to watch the machine when I wash.I didnt buy this washing machine so I can only place it on a certain level. It is under one years old and only until this year March, the problem occurred. There was no other history and when I made these complaints, it was indirectly stated back to me that nothing is wrong and I felt they thought I did know what I was talking about (deeming as I am woman). But, as my mum and my friend had witnessed, the water was coming from the machine. I will not be breaking my back lifting and cleaning again.I also asked a few times if I can get a cash settlement back and to speak to a team leader (none of which was done or considered at the time of the calls). The reason being is so I can buy a more reliable machine and can wash my clothes on high. I have uploaded photos and receipt of when I purchased the washing machine. I would like to be able to either get a reimbursement for the machine or a better quality machine, as I am wasting heaps of money on water bills. This by far, is the worst customer service I have ever received and do not advise anyone to purchase their products.

Purchased appliances (Dishwasher/Clothes Washer/Dryer) 8 years ago. Dishwasher still works well (fingers crossed) but both Clothes Washer & Dryer cratered in the last few months. Heating element and bearing both wore out in the dryer (600 C$ to repair) and the transmission broke down in the washer replacement part for our model no longer available so will have to get a new washer (wont be a Fisher Paykel). Previously had domestic appliances for 25 years which worked equally as well without requiring so much as a service call. No more Fisher Paykel for me.

After 2 years of excessive repairs on our original DCS stove that we bought with the home we decided to end the misery and buy a new one. Well 3 months after buying this beautiful new 48 inch gas range it too turns out to be of poor quality. The large oven failed to work. This is the same kind of failure on my old stove. It took 3 weeks later the service tech came out to fix it after many calls and escalations! Well he was to come from 1-3 pm, he came at 8 PM! And was shocked to see the stove, he was unable to move the stove much less fix it! Well after 2 hours of pulling my new stove apart and struggling to put it back he left with a promise to come back. I called the company and sure no one answered. The distributor was even more evasive. The owner of the store I bought the stove, refused to talk to me. Today being July 4th, we still are unable to cook in the oven and I have no clue when the stove will be fixed.

Its a shame that all the people who have left complaints here, dont have a friend or family member thats a appliance tech, because the Fisher & Paykel washer & top load dryer are the best laundry set Ive ever owned. Fortunately for me that I have a brother who not only is a tech, but also worked for Fisher & Paykel, so he knows their products, inside and out. When I 1st got them and saw the tops were all plastic, I thought I was forced into the biggest mistake of my life. Because like many other people here, I got rid of my Maytag set that were still working after 30 years with very little service. Although Ive had some issues with the top load dryer, mainly the lint build-up behind the grill that he vacuums out once a month. Ive only had to replace a lint screen and bearings kit in the 6 years that Ive own it. Since I only had to pay for the parts and not for labor or service charge, my cost have been very minimal. As for the washer, the only problem is that when we do large loads it usually splashes water on to the basement floor. Since its only a concrete floor, its not a major issue. The only thing my brother can think why we are not experiencing the same problems with leaking pumps causing computer board to burn out is, we all bought our machines manufactured in New Zealand before they opened their Ohio, USA factory.Considering all the laundry my family does in a week, the Fisher & Paykel set has held up very well, so far. I know its largely in part because my brother is an appliance tech and not everyone is as fortunate. But Im very happy with them. The reverse- tumble dryer has cut down on my ironing, saving a great deal of time and energy.

We were re-doing our kitchen and we wanted something with two drawers and they were the only ones who really did it for the dishwasher. I checked them out online and they were very highly rated. My wife says why we didn’t get all our appliances from them? We did our whole kitchen and she was... “I didn’t know about them beforehand.....” So this was an experiment that actually turned out to be positive and if they want to, they can change all my appliances, because I’m sorry I didn’t buy all of them :)Compared to other brands we had our F&P dishwasher is amazing. I love that the dishes come out sparkling clean. I don’t have to scrap them. I’ve had bad dishwashers. The last one that I had was extremely poor. I would never buy that brand again.

I surprised my wife with a brand-new Fisher Paykel double-drawer dishwasher because I got tired of cleaning and servicing her old one. They are not inexpensive. Within one month, the start button receded into the chassis. The service person found that the lighted collar around the start button was made of cheap plastic and had simply broken making the machine inoperable. I would think for the amount of money that durn machine cost, they could afford to at least make the plastic parts durable enough to last more than a month.

I bought a house in the southern part of Virginia and it had old appliances in it and the dishwasher failed. I went to a store that sold all the brands and we were taken by the drawer configuration. We thought that would work well on our kitchen and it has done. I like the fact that I can load pots and pans in the lower drawer and other stuff in the upper drawer and do them all at once. And its just the easier loading feature. I think its a wonderful machine. It washes dishes very well and I have only a few complaints. Its a little awkward getting used to the fact that theres only water coming from below, theres no upper wand so you have to be clever about how you put things in it. And the plastic piece which you grab to open it, both the upper and lower ones have cracked, so theyre just not strong enough for the load that they have to put up with. Daily opening and closing. But outside of that, its been wonderful.

After a great deal of research, I learned this refrigerator has the least depth of any other on the market that includes a water dispenser. This is due in part to the fact the ice maker is not contained on the door; the icemaker is contained in the bottom freezer. Yes, you have to scoop out the ice manually, but the depth space savings is worth the trade, and the chilled water dispensed doesn't require ice. Although I initially thought it pricy for a refrigerator, it was my only option for the space in my kitchen. I ordered it on a Sunday evening and it was in my kitchen Wednesday afternoon. I love this stylish and sleek refrigerator!!! While 17 cubic feet may seem small, it is an ideal size for most families. In most cases, the items stored in the back of a refrigerator are forgotten or the space isn't really used anyway. There is so much shelf space that I was able to get more in this refrigerator than my previous larger unit. I was surprised to find that the water filter is not contained within the unit. The filter holder mounts to the wall, or, in my case, an adjacent cabinet, and just the water line attaches to the unit. This perhaps goes with the philosophy of no wasted space in the unit. I opted for a three year extended warranty for just over $100, but I am optimistic I won't need it. I'll update this rating if I have problems with the unit, but so far I have absolutely no regrets.

I have a Fisher Paykel washer and dryer that’s a little over 3 years old. The washing machine agitator broke, and it wouldnt drain water. Now it is fixed, but it doesnt even really clean the clothes and doesnt spin the water out like advertised. The dryer is junk. We have had a certified Fisher Paykel repair man try to fix it twice. It took a while for the part to come in, and then it didnt fix the problem. I just recently replaced the bearing assembly, and it still sounds like the dryer is going to literally take off through the ceiling. I have contacted customer service, only to have the wrong part sent to me. When I called to let them know they sent the wrong part, I was told that the part I needed would cost me an additional $50 dollars. I cant express how upset I am that I paid the money for this set when the washer and dryer were under warranty; it probably should have just been replaced. The customer service always had some crazy solution or excuse! I will never recommend this brand to anyone. I would rather hand wash and dry my clothes than to have to listen to the loud, ridiculous noises that come from the washer and dryer. I dont understand how a company can sell something and not even bother to warranty or care about their product or their customers! Company failure!

After 8 months, my 24 range stopped working. Two weeks after my initial service call, the service people said they had the parts and scheduled a repair for Tuesday, April 17. I took the morning off, but they did not arrive in time to do the job. So I had to reschedule my service call for today. They said they would be here by 1pm. Then they called back to say they had made a mistake and that in fact, they did not have the part, because it was on back order. So my lost morning off work on Tuesday was for nothing. I am still without the use of my oven. I would like a replacement oven. I paid top dollar for a fancy oven, and not only did it break so soon, it cannot even be repaired in a timely manner. I called Fisher Paykel and stayed on hold for 5 minutes before speaking to someone. I told them what had happened, and they just said to wait for the part to come in and reschedule my appointment and that there was nothing they could do, unless my stove could not be repaired. Meanwhile, 2 lost days at work and no oven for over 2 weeks! I was told I could call back in a few hours and talk to the management team, which I plan to do.
