I am contacting you in reference to my vehicle. Unfortunately the service manager William has showed and made it very clear he does not want to service my vehicle at all. He told me that he did not know 100% what was wrong with my car unless they tear it down and that his techs dont want to do that and he dont want to pay them to do it. I had took my car to a front end specialist and got a second opinion and they suggested struts and strut mounts. He told me that if my warranty cover my struts, he would have them changed and I was going to pay for the strut mounts to be put on, which he said would be an extra $56. He also stated I needed a timing belt which is going bad for the second time around. I know when I bring my vehicle in, the parts that I am told are bad are covered under my warranty. He told me my warranty denied my struts but when I called come to find out, they never mentioned the struts at all being needed to repair. He also made a big deal about my warranty not covering my timing belt and they do, its in black and white and plus I asked them myself. Well, he called my warranty and told them that I dont need any struts and there is nothing wrong with my timing belt so they could block my repairs and he did not have to pay the techs out his pocket to do the work. I always come there for service to my vehicle from oil changes I paid for on up. I have never had to fight and bicker to get my car serviced there before at all. This unprofessional matter and stunt he pulled was uncalled for, all he keeps doing is wanting me to come out my pocket for repairs. Why should I if I have a warranty to pay for the labor and repairs? He tells me if they pull my front end apart, I will have to pay the tech out my pocket to do it. I am past fed up with his attitude and unwillingness to repair my vehicle. On top of that, lying to my warranty company so they can block the repairs so I can pay for them myself and basically, his way to show me that he is not going to fix my car and he is not going to let his tech either. Timing belt is a major repair issue. This is my only mode of transportation and for him to lie about it so he want have to do anything to my car - WOW. I have never seen this type of service before at all. If I know my parts are not under warranty, I would not bring my car in to have techs fix it when I know they have to be paid. Plus, warranty cover labor and parts and all this service manager does is throw in my face about he not going to pay the techs and someone has to pay the techs and he not paying them out his pocket. Customer service should be this service manager main priority and not how much money you can spend for parts that are all ready under warranty, makes no sense at all. Stop throwing temper tantrums when its work that need to be done and you dont want to do it. Its part of your job to work and make sure the customer car does not leave the same way it came in, which mine has every time I took it in to be serviced. This is not the first time I have had to get my front end looked at. One time they charged my warranty people and come to find out when I got the car back same way it went in. No work was done to my vehicle at all. The tech admitted that he never changed anything on my car that he had another car like mine and did that work to it. This service department and service manager are very unprofessional and wants to take the easy way out of things. Then he told me that he can spray some lubrication on the parts and that will take care of the noise as well as how my main concern should not be the noise, it should be the oil leak that I have never seen in my drive way - which is more than likely from my cover gaskets I paid out my pocket to have changed.

I currently own a 2015 Cadillac Escalade which I have owned since 2015. We recently discovered a water leak on the drivers side second row on the roof where the seams meet by the back door, the water has leaked down the inner panel affecting the seat belt causing it to lock out. The entire carpet from the second row to the third row was wet producing the smell of mold. After taking my vehicle to two different Cadillac dealers they found the leak we had already discovered. General Motors has denied the claim made by the dealership, they are not taking accountability for their faulty vehicle and supporting us the consumer who has trusted them to produce a high quality product worth the large investment we made. I am beyond disappointed in General Motors and the poor customer service we have received from them. This issue is 100% a manufacture defect, we did not cause this issue to occurs and now we are stuck with the cost of the repair and breathing in the mold which is a hazard to myself and 3 young kids health. I am appalled at the lack of support from General Motors. I bought a Cadillac expecting a high quality product and high quality customer service which is not at all what we have received. I am truly disappointed.

From day one this car has had nothing but problems. We brought it to the dealers attention that the rear driver tail light needed replacing while ON their lot to purchase it. Was brushed off (should have been the 1st clue). Continued problems with Navigation unit, Radio, Heater, A/C, Infotainment issues; drive train and/or transmission, door handles constantly breaking and the dealership here in Tallahassee could care less. Have 2 open tickets with GMC and STILL not getting anywhere. Being dyslexic and fully disabled/handicapped; my husband bought this car specific to help me. NOT happy!!

I have a 2002 Chevy Express Van 2500. I’m the original owner. I have about 98000 miles, first time. I just learned that the ABS sensors need to be replaced. It cost a total of about $600.00. The cargo side door that opens first on the passenger’s side is very hard to open. It’s almost stuck. I have applied grease, oil, etc. to the hinge, the lower hinge is the one that is super stuck. I am sure that the manufacturing process is the cause for this, nothing elseHow about the NTSB being notified? I can also mention that the fuel pump went out about 20,000 to 30,000 ago. The cost is over $1000.00. I have never heard of a fuel pump going out. I had lost time and wages and it’s dangerous. They make great vehicles, but the overall components are the pits after 30,000 miles.

I purchased 2011 Equinox Dec. 2010 new with 65 miles on it. It has been in the shop for repairs ten times from Feb. 2011 to Mar 2014. Engine problems (twice) same thing, transmission, air conditioning, seat belts. All was under warranty. Recently, my Equinox was hit by another car. It was hit on the driver side, front wheel and front. The body shop quoted a price of $8,400 for repairs. It ended up $9,633. The body shop had my vehicle for almost a month to repair. The second day, after I picked it up from the shop, the engine light came on. I took it back to the body shop. They had to take it to a GM shop to run a diagnostic test which they charged $97.00 which I paid. The #2 coil needed replacing. They said this was not covered under my 100,000 mile power train. They are saying this was not related to the accident. NOT A HAPPY PERSON HERE. I have bought 3 other GM cars. No problems. I thought that if you bought a vehicle new, you would have only basic minor problems. I have 76,425 miles on my vehicle and it should be worth about $14,000 to $17,000. Once this vehicle is repaired, Im trading it.. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER GM CAR. I WILL BUY NISSAN, FORD, OR TOYOTA. YOU JUST LOST ANOTHER CUSTOMER.

I purchased a new 2014 Chevy Malibu. Have been taking excellent care of it, oil changes regularly, etc. At 50,000 miles the engine locked up... no warning. Just quit while cruising along on my way to work. Now GM is replacing the engine with a reman but said my starter went out too and that isnt covered under the powertrain warranty and will cost $630. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GM vehicle. Never. Engine replacement at 50K miles and I have to pay $650 and pay for my own car rental!? They should put in a NEW engine, starter and provide a loaner for free!!! Not happy with my lemon at all.

My father is 87 years old and leased a 2015 Buick Lacrosse as he had faithfully either purchased or leased General Motors cars for decades. Unfortunately, he has been diagnosed with cancer, was hospitalized and is now living in an assisted living facility in Cleveland, Ohio. His physician has recommended that he no longer drives due to him being a fall risk and just his overall decrease in acute motor skills, thus, enabling him to have the needed precision and rapid flexibility needed to drive effectively. As a result, my father turned his car in to General Motors only to be told, cancer or no cancer, unable to drive or not at now 87 years old, he still owes roughly $8,000 on the remainder of his lease and mind you the car has been sold or re-leased. To that end, General Motors will now receive double payment for a car my father can no longer drive. As his daughter, I think this is awful without regard for the plight of senior citizens. I think this is nothing less than highway robbery and greed on the part of General Motors. Why are they leasing cars to 87 year olds anyway without a clause that addresses acute illness or inability to drive by virtue of a doctors orders??? I believe General Motors should be ashamed of themselves for taking undue advantage of the elderly...but then again why should they care when the CEOs and CFOs responsible for making and executing leasing policy and procedures have been raking in money and reaping the benefits of million dollar bonuses forever... Bet you will not see one of them standing in a Walgreens line choosing between medication, food or assisted living rent while simultaneously paying for a sold, leased vehicle they no longer own... Way to go General Motors. Rape the elderly all the way to the bank!

Bought two GM trucks at same time. After about six weeks one had the airbags deploy for no reason. Only going about 30 mph at the time so fortunately no one was injured except the shock of the incident and the total destruction of the interior. GM had immediately wanted to blame the driver and wanted the insurance company name. THIS WAS NOT anything we did and is not an insurance claim. This is just a faulty product with a dangerous problem which they dont want to accept responsibility for. This IS a GM problem. We have a loaner but want another new truck. We do not want that truck back. We no longer trust the vehicle and since this incident have no trust in GM to stand behind their product. Until this problem is addressed and fixed I would not buy a GM truck. None should have to go through this. GM is fortunate that none was hurt. Apparently they just dont care about the customer. BEWARE OF GENERAL MOTORS when considering buying a new vehicle.

I leased a 2012 GMC Terrain back in 2012.. It is 30 month lease. I recently sustained a medical problem with a year left on the lease.. I cannot drive anymore and sought to turn in the vehicle early as I cannot drive it. Balance owed on lease was/is not an issue.. what I was told by leasing affiliate--ALLY Auto... I would have to retain the vehicle for the duration of the lease period and carry full coverage with insurance for the duration of lease even though I cannot drive and my license has been placed on hold by State DMV. My complaint here is based upon the fact that the vehicle will be stored on my property, not being driven for over a year (I am a retired senior living alone) and I will be forced to pay over $2,000 in insurance premiums just so the lease calendar can expire as they will not allow me to turn in the vehicle now. I accept paying off the remaining lease value, but to keep it anyway at my expense for mandatory insurance coverage is an outrage... as it seems punitive. I advise all that seek leases keep this in mind... have an unforeseen event that disallows any more driving and you are screwed. Clearly, GM business model is based upon for every customer lost, we get 5 new ones so why care? If I ever get back on the road again... uncertain at this point... it wont be with a leased GM product. Screw me once, shame on them.. screw me twice, shame on me for being a loyal customer.

I have a collision shop and have been having issues with General Motors parts since the strike. The latest experience was a customer that got rear ended and needed a new tail gate. (Multi Pro Style) After 4 weeks of waiting we got the gate, prepped and painted it. When we went to assemble this gate we noticed the gate was about 2 shorter than the original one. This is the only Multi Pro gate they make. I would love to know what is going on with this mess. My parts guy just said, Well I will order another one. POOR JOB GM!!!

Always been a Chevy fan, my whole family has, but will shop for a Ford next time. What happened to a company that actually backs their products?!!! Lets be sure to outsource more so we can get more crappy products.

I purchased a 2017 Escalade from Cadillac of Novi 1 month ago. Less than 3 weeks having the vehicle the head gasket needed to be replaced. My Escalade was in the shop almost 2 weeks and GM refuses to try to make the situation right. The thing that blows my mind is 4 months earlier my wife purchases a brand new Cadillac CT6 and less than having the car 2 weeks the sunroof motor completely goes out. Car was in the shop 1.5 weeks again. GM was no help and does not care about pleasing their customers. I highly advise anyone to stay away from GM vehicles. They are not reliable and GM will not be there for you after the sale.

I have bought 2 Chevy Cobalts and I will never buy another one in my life.
I have bought 2 Chevy Cobalts and I will never buy another one in my life. First one I bought was about 3 years ago. I was on my way back from GA and a semi hit me and I spun out on the highway and totaled my car. Well my airbags did not deploy. No big deal. No one was hurt. I called Chevy to let them know that the airbags did not deploy. I heard nothing back from them. I bought my 2nd Chevy Cobalt in May. I let my niece drive my car and she pulled out in front of a car going 50 mph. Car spun out hit another car. GUESS WHAT. The airbags did not deploy... Everyone that was in the car was treated at the hospital. Called Chevy and reported it. LOL. Guess what they said the airbags will only deploy if they are hit head on. WOW really. So because the car was hit on the side and the back of the car, the airbags did not deploy. Getting hit at 50 mph should have deployed the airbag. But my claim DENIED because they were not hit head on. Thank God that they were not hit head on because I probably would not have my niece, son, nephew or grandbaby. I will NEVER buy a Chevy nor will any of my friend and family. What a joke this company is.

I bought a 2010 Chevy Equinox 2 years ago and in the last 6 months, I have had nothing but issues. In January I had to have my timing belts replaced (under warranty), then in April there was a issue with the motor using too much oil. They had to replace half the motor (which was under a special warranty). Fast forward to last week, the transmission went!!! I took it back to the dealership just to find out that the 5 yr warranty had expired in the beginning of the month (never knew this was only good from the first time it was bought off the lot.) The dealership was able to get GM to cover a portion of it but I would still have to pay $1600 out of pocket. I feel that they should cover more than that stating all the issues I have been having.I called GM and spoke with a Kathy. She pretty much told me that I should be grateful that they are helping me at all and I can either take the offer or leave it. And that I should discuss with my family the best choice for us as the consumer. Appalling customer service, when asked to speak to someone higher up she told me that she was pretty high up and the decision is already made. I will never buy another Chevy. Buyer beware!

I was driving on Oregon coast on a vacation. Just bought this truck with 39000 miles and all of the sudden the steering locking up and took everything I could do to turn to a safe stop. Had the vehicle repaired at a Chevrolet dealership in Newport who were great to work with. I called GM and this truck has been out of warranty for 4 thousand miles, and they only wanted to pay half, and give me credit for accessories. This could have cause me to get into a bad accident with my family in it. The steering gear failed all of a sudden with no warning. I have had paint issues with this truck and now safety problems. They will not stand up for craftsmanship of truck and is still worth around 48000 dollars. I have owned these trucks my whole life and now it will be the last.

My fuel system control module failed at about 90,000 km. Looked up the information on the web and found an outstanding recall for failed FSCM on my truck manufactured from June to August. My truck was made in June. Took the truck to the dealer, and was told my VIN number was 92 trucks before the recall began. Thats made on the same day or the day before, and my part failed the exact same way as described in the recall. My part was not covered, so GM charged me $900 for the repair. This was annoying, but they do have a legal leg to stand on, as theyre the ones who set the beginning of the recall, not us. VIN numbers started for recall when they believed the faulty parts hit the production line, but obviously they were off by at least a hundred. How do we know whether they got it right? I assert they did not. All they offered me in compensation - because Ive been buying GM products for 24 years - was a $200 pre-paid visa card for use at a dealership, and only for regular service, not repairs. Since then Ive also had multiple incidences of a trio of fault codes that shut down all my winter safety systems - four-wheel drive, traction control, and stabilitrak. Every time I take the truck to the dealer they reset the codes and say theres nothing wrong with the truck. Im at $400 for this problem, with no resolution. These systems are vital to driving safely where I work in northern BC, so when these codes are activated I lose the things I need most. The computer will not reset the codes even though nothing is currently wrong with the vehicle, and Im forced to drive around without my main safety components until a dealer can make time to soak me for a repair bill to reset them.GM has built in faults that could reset on their own, but dont, and make you go to the dealer to pay plenty of money and fix what isnt broken. If the codes actually identified which part is intermittently causing them, at least I could have that part changed out and the vehicle would be reliable. To top it all off, the vehicle is much less safe to drive with these features disabled, so my life is at risk until I get there. This is flat out extortion.

Bought brand New in 2011, my wife LOVES it. 2016, Exhaust Manifold & Catalytic Converter cracked. My wife brought it in. Dealer, Goldstein Buick GMC; Albany, NY; was going to charge $3000+ to replace. They Told her there was NO recall with this fix. A third party garage did the work for $1500. I called GMC and was told would NOT be reimbursed because work was done at third party garage. The Rep told me, Wait a Minute, the garage is not Warranted. THE TRUCK is Warranted! Plus, we just saved you Half the Price for the job! Goldstein Buick GMC was going to charge us over $3000! I looked up online and found 10 recalls with the Terrain. My wife found a letter claim form in her glove box. We filled it out and sent it in with the receipt. Still waiting for a refund. One week later; The Transmission & Transfer Case catastrophic, Mechanical Breakdown. Manufacture Defect. 55,000 miles!! GMC-JUNK. Fighting again.

We bought a 2011 GMC Terrain SLT brand new from the dealer. At 19,000 miles the AC compressor went out, warranty covered that expense. 2 years later the compressor had a leak and the dealer recharged the compressor. This was done without our knowledge while we had the vehicle in for an oil change. At 90,000 miles we had a new transmission installed for $4200. That was our fault for not getting rid of the Terrain. In 2017 the check engine light came on, we were told it was a sensor for the exhaust. 2 days ago the AC compressor went out again. The Terrain was back at the dealer today. We were told the compressor was bad and needed replacing, $1000. The check engine light was really the timing chain needed to be replaced $2000. The vehicle has 115000 miles on it and I cant afford to have it fixed. GMC should step up to the plate and give me and my wife some assistance. We are both retired living off social security!!

Went to local dealer in which my whole family uses and wanted to get a new car. Btw... bought 2 cars in Lake Orion area 10, 11 years ago with great experience. Anyways, went to get a Malibu (sales) to my local dealer in which my whole family uses so I trusted it to be okay. Saw a Malibu Elite with a 29 something sale sticker that I wanted. Went to talk to a sales person at Vic Canever, said interested in the deal, we had to go look, he was unaware. He said that there was criteria. I didnt have a lease, a criteria BUT, he could get me close to that deal. Going thru his hour and a half of mumble jumbo I kept asking the price of the car. I got 29750 oh then better 29595! Great! Very excited! Well after 3 1/2 hours later very tired!Finance guy told me my payments. 417 month well I had a trade in on 3800 plus put down 5000 seemed high, so called the next day and the sales person claimed that the total of the car that I kept asking the amount included my trade in, Really! Bunch of **! Well when we went to the parking lot to look at the sticker sale, he didnt even know that I had a trade in or what it was, anyways ended up paying $3000 more than I thought. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I will never go back to Vic Canever in Fenton again! I know the deal that I got was average and almost just went somewhere else, but thought if I didnt purchase it then I would never get one (personal thing) anyways, love the car but cant enjoy until I get over this horrible experience! IT JUST SUCKS! THANKS VIC CANEVER IN Fenton!

I purchased a used 2014 Chevy Captiva Sportage with about 37,000 miles less than 1 year ago. Paid 20K cash and now I regret it since it looks like I was sold a lemon. A month ago the key started sticking in the ACC position when attempting to shut the car off after driving. It would require constant shutting on and off of car or sitting it out in car for 1 or more hour praying that the key would turn to the off position in the ignition and not get stuck in the ACC position, which drains the battery. This continued during the WORST of times, at medical appointments, arriving home at night, dining out and July 4th weekend. With the key in the ignition, it meant car door could not be locked, could not get keys to go into my house or to the doctors office, etc. We lost our hotel reservations and money since the battery died after the key was stuck in the ignition for hours over the Independence Day weekend and the dealerships were close. After spending more than a week in the dealership and them troubleshooting the issue - with the keys sticking in the ignition some days and with it coming out some days, with difficulty, the dealership diagnosed the issues with the lock cylinder being damaged and requiring replacement to a tune of nearly $400. GM and dealership basically said, Tough luck - youre not covered by warranty.

I called GM customer service to get an understanding to why the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix have not been recalled. My ignition cylinder, ignition switch & wiring had to be replaced, the wiring had melted which could have resulted in a fire. I expressed this with the customer service, moreover the overwhelming complaints found on the internet. The best they could do was note it in their computer system and IF they decided to recall the year I would be notified. It is a sad and sick day when a company who is already being sued for not acknowledging safety issues previously will continue to turn a blind eye to such a massive issue. It says a lot about how much they value business and safety of their products and customers.

In Oct 2013, my wife and I purchased a new 2013 Sonic sedan. A few months later it developed a creaking noise in the steering at low speeds as well as a scrunching noise in the rear when sitting in the car each time. The dealer tried unsuccessfully to fix it on several occasions in which the car spent about 6 weeks at the dealership. They swapped out parts from other cars, replaced new parts; all unsuccessful. After owning the car for 6 months I had had enough so I traded it on a 2014 Sonic (what a mistake). The scrunching noise in the rear started soon after. But as winter set in 7 months after buying it, the creaking noise started in the newest car. Again the dealer attempted to fix it, telling me it was cured. But when I picked up the car the noise was still present. Again this car spent several weeks at the dealership - finally my car was dropped back off for the last time; creaking still there. GM customer service had been following the issue. I called the dealership and GM, told them the noise was still there. A few weeks went by and today GM call center called and explained that they could not fix the issue and that the creaking noise was a normal characteristic of the car and they would no longer try to fix this issue. I have never been so frustrated.

I did have to have 1 air shock and compressor replaced but I always replaced shocks in pairs but GM said no way. Then my dash started to crack and that was turned down as GM said this was a cosmetic item and it does NOT cover cosmetic items. The transmission on my 2010 Terrain failed at less than 52,000 miles and GMC has done nothing to help me. I have never heard of a transmission failing this early on a car that has been well maintained. When I initially brought it into my GMC dealer, all they were interested in was if I had an extended warranty (I did not) and told me if I needed a new trans, it would cost $ 6000 - $ 7000. Not being able to afford that and not being able to afford a new car, I took it to a local trans repair shop and had the trans rebuilt for $ 2750. When GMC was contacted after that to see if they would reimburse at least part of the cost, they told me they only work with their dealers and if I had gone to the dealer maybe they wouldve done something for me.Clearly they do not stand behind their products. Since they would be hard pressed to find anyone who would say it is normal for a trans to fail this early, that should be all they need to know and they should do what they can to make it right for the consumer. I am with others on this site who have stated they will never buy another GM/GMC product. The really sad part for me is I LOVED my Terrain, until it completely failed and I didnt.

I purchased a 2013 GMC Terrain. It had 74000 miles on it when I bought it. 50000 miles later I have spent 2500 dollars on it. Hub replacement, wheel sensor replacement, leaking gasket causing strong fuel odor in the vehicle. Now, to top it all off I have an oil consumption issue. Its using a quart every thousand miles. When the oil gets low no warning lights come on. The dealer says it will be a minimum 3000 dollars to fix and very its very possible the motor would have to be replaced. I have 2 friends that own Chevy or GMC SUVs and they have had the same issue. GM is not the quality it used to be. Dont buy it.

I am the sorry owner of a Chevy Impala. I have been a GM customer for over 20 years. I have always tried to support American made cars. My experience with this Impala has been a nightmare. I have taken it to the dealer several times and have gotten treated very poorly. The rear defrost just quit working. Tire system failed, now I am waiting to be seen for the recall and need to have someone check out why my car gives me the message engine power reduced. Once I have these things done, I will be returning this car and I will never purchase an automobile from GM or any of its affiliates. I am so disgusted with this car. I depend on this car (I cant call it an automobile or vehicle) to take my child back and forth and I need to get to work. I cannot afford to jeopardize her safety. I will never recommend GM to anyone.

We got a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix in Aug. of 2009 from a dealer, not a GM dealer. It had 36,000 miles. We took a trip over to Ohio overnight, checked into the hotel, got dress to go check out their Casino. As we was driving on the hwy the car lost all power, had a warranty on it. Got in touch with the warranty company and they told us that we had to take it to a GM dealer for repairs, so we had it towed to one that night. We got up the next morning called the dealer to let them know what was going on. They called the warranty company to let them know the issue with the car. At that time the warranty company told the dealer it wasnt covered.I got in touch with the lease company to see if they could get the problem taken care. NOT. Come to find out the the Ignition Control Module and Coil Pick went out. We had to pay $706.00 for repair. Now since GM have recalls on the ignition switch I said let me find out about this issue we had, they are telling me that not all 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix are in the recalls. They also stated that if the car over 100,000 miles on it that they dont pay for any repairs and recalls so I told the lady at GM @866-790-5600 that I would be speaking with an attorney about taking them to small claims. She told me that the call has been ended because I said to her that I will be talking with one about this issue. Also we have issues with our brakes, airbags, power steering, and lights.

On June 2, 2016 an engine light came on as we were on the on ramp proceeding to the highway. Immediately our engine losing power light came on. My husband managed to get the vehicle safely off the road. The vehicle shut down and would not restart. It was towed to ORegans on Robie Street where it was diagnosed with fuel injectors that exploded thereby causing major issues. The vehicle had 118,000 km and the warranty expired at 110,000. Had the car repaired, $2500.00 later! I asked if the car had been test driven, the reply was no when it was the check engine light came back on. Now it needed rear sensors. That same evening the check engine light came back on so back to ORegans. Now the timing chain was gone!!! So another $2700.00.No one from ORegans or GM would extend the warrant. There will never be another GM product in our driveway their attitude with customers is, Oh well we can offer you $2500 off a brand new car. Ha they have to be kidding. After doing research and speaking with a couple of mechanics I find out GM knew they had injectors issues and timing chain issues which they are saying, Oh we never heard of any issues regarding the injectors or timing chain. I have been in touch with the local media and Yvonne Colbert has sent me a recall which I am going to try one more time with GM to see if we can come to a resolve on this issue. I know they have a good will warranty. Wish me luck!!!

I have a 2012 Duramax that had an issue that GM sent out a letter on. I took the truck in for service in October 2015 and the told me the part may be 3 months before it arrives. In the meantime my truck developed another issue due to the issue gm sent out the letter on... So I go back to dealer in December and still no part. So they fixed the other issue and wouldnt cover it under warranty... They wanted to keep my truck which I use for business and offered me a Chevy Cruze to drive to replace my 2500hd pickup. LOL.So now its late December and I live in southern Illinois on the mississippi river where the bad floods hit and had to evacuate and put even more miles on my truck while waiting for this part... So now I call to complain about why this part has taken so long and why I had to pay for the issue that was caused by the missing part... So while telling this to the customer service rep she told me not to complain because her mom had stage 4 cancer. I wish I was making this up!!! In the meantime Gm offers me $100 to go away. What a joke after they took millions from taxpayers to keep the doors open they treat me like a dog!!!

I purchased a 2011 GMC Yukon with 82K miles from Carmax. I paid $29K for this vehicle. This had the 5.3L engine & 4WD which is needed here in MI. At 125K miles the transmission gave out - no prolonged degradation, just failure over 1-2 days. I purchased a remanufactured transmission costing $3K (including installation). Adding more injury, GM charged me $200 to flash the transmission. Then at 140K miles, StabiliTrak and Traction Control codes appear along with the check engine light. The engine started running rough at idle with slightly reduced gas mileage. I changed the plugs, plug wires and coil to no avail. Analytics would show random misfire for cylinder 8. Compression check showed the cylinder was 60 psi low. Leak-down test showed the problem was either the camshaft or a lifter, meaning engine replacement. Ive taken good care of this vehicle with regular service and am extremely disappointed I couldnt get more mileage out of the engine. BTW, this is the 2nd GMC where both the engine and transmission had to be replaced at similar mileage (a 1985 GMC Jimmy). GMC is not the Professional Grade they claim to be, but the opposite. I will never purchase another GMC vehicle.

Bought a 2017 Silverado from Clark’s, after 8 month agonizing experience with a dealer who ran me around with excuses, charged me for repairs which had nothing to do with the flawed product they sold me, even though it was under warranty, which is a joke by the way. They kept telling me they didn’t know what was wrong with the vehicle and after many trips there basically told me it’s up to me and GM to solve. By all the reviews I’ve read about this treatment of their customers it sounds like it’s a trend. I wouldn’t recommend a GM product to anybody with this lack of concern about their customers or their product in which they do not stand behind. Id rate them a negative 5 stars.

My boyfriend and I drove over 2 hours to a dealership that had the 2016 GM Canyon Diesel in stock. Purchased the vehicle and everything was great. That was on a Tuesday. With less than 500 miles on the truck and being 5 hours away from home on Friday (3 days later), the truck wouldnt start. Completely disabled. GM had the truck towed to the closest dealership to evaluate and repair. That was Friday, February 26, 2016. Today is Tuesday, March 8, 2016 and we are NO closer to having our truck repaired or replaced. Have made dozens of calls to the dealership that is supposed to be fixing the truck, to the dealership that sold us the truck, and finally to GM company. Everyone is very sympathetic and agrees this is terrible but do nothing! We requested a new truck. No, have to go through the warranty channels. We have this truck 3 Days! It died with less than 500 miles on it. They have had the truck now for 12 days. No answers on when the truck will be fixed. The dealership with the truck doesnt sound like they know how to fix it. GM gives a different answer each time we call and get a different person. Asked for higher up, get nowhere. Worse customer service ever!!

I received an alert from On-Star through email (from General Motors) indicating that I need to have my engine/transmission checked. A few days later the engine light appeared. I didnt notice any malfunction of the car, at least yet. I contacted the dealer & was told that the car should be checked, but I would be responsible for the $150 diagnostics fee if the repair didnt fall under the warranty. I checked the manual & my car is still covered under the transmission/engine warranty, but there are certain engine/transmission repairs that arent covered. I thought what is the reason to have this On-Star alert system. Shouldnt they know the details already? I think this is a ploy to get a customer in & make them pay. Unfortunately, the car is beginning to sputter as Im driving. It doesnt happen during acceleration. Has anyone had this same issue & what was their resolution?

He tells me that nothing has been done and it was too late. At this point, I had been sitting & waiting for hours. Since it was Friday, he told me to take the car and hell submit my app to Vystar on Monday. Then, he cautions me that people with HIGH FICO scores get declined all the time! How ethical is that? Then he suggests that he complete my paperwork at a higher rate, JUST IN CASE. I stuck to my guns on the lowest rate and didnt take the bait. 5. The car was sent to be cleaned (last car) but it seemed more like it was rinsed because it was still dirty.6. Monday came, no call. Tuesday came, no call. Wednesday came, no call. Thursday came, no call. Friday came, and I finally called to get the run around and a man said he THINKS I was okay. NO ONE EVER CALLED to follow up. It literally took 2 1/2 weeks for a confirmation letter. 7. I Noticed $300 accessory fee added to my sales price. 8. Received denial letter from the dealership not a finance co, that said I was denied for multiple accts in delinquency. That is inaccurate info, as I have no delinquencies at all, and would not have a FICO score of 803 if there were such. (see attached w/ score), yet I was APPROVED by VYSTAR at their best rate for used cars8. A so-called Customer Exp Mgr ** emailed and said some words followed by A HAND WASH for my troubles. Wow! That was very gracious. Never Again! The hallmark of a disorganized company is that they never finish what they start. Thus, me having to call over and over to get my status and no one could give me a definitive answer. If you like being both confused and getting the runaround - OR - a free hand-wash, choose this place. I hate to break the suspense to you, but if I ran the joint, I would offer more than a hand-wash! PLEEZ, Mr. **, that added about a GALLON of HIGH OCTANE FUEL to the FIRE. I even went as far as to share w/Mr. ** that my dissatisfaction with the dealership was too far gone and I have told over 15 people. No one cares, yet they talk like they do. P.S. Credit score is 803. As a woman, I truly hate having to give a negative review on any company, but this company deserves it.

I purchased this rust bucket. See what you think about this brand new 2019 Chevy 2500 LTZ Duramax with 50 miles! The entire undercarriage is covered with rust, GM and the Halls Dealership have both agreed that this is normal! It’s far from normal and is called neglect on behalf of both parties! It’s hard to believe that they dont coordinate and get away with this type of business conduct! A service bulletin related to surface rust gets them out of giving me a truck without rust that wasn’t driven through road treatment! They have a lot of explaining to do! The truck is worthless and don’t let either parties get you like they got me! It’s absurd that they can get away with what they are doing! Just a heads up for anyone purchasing a new GM lookout for the undercarriage rust because the service bulletin is only available to the service department who doesn’t give a darn about anything but the sale and getting over on the consumer! Coolant leaks gradually from the waterpump until engine overheats. GM knows this is an issue with this car. This car was bought brand new and was sold to my father-in-law, a WWII veteran who was 87 years old when he bought the car. Car was brought back to the dealership multiple times soon after it was purchased. The issue was never fixed properly and car overheated again and again and again.Ownership was transferred to us when my father-in-law was diagnosed with dementia and could no longer drive. As second owners we were never informed there is a special warranty covering this exact issue. The car has overheated for us multiple times. Weve spent over $1,000 trying to get this issue fixed. GM refuses to reimburse us and cannot seem to give a reasonable explanation as to why the dealership (Muzi Chevy in Needham, MA) never notified us of this special warranty even though we brought the car back there ourselves for this very issue - GM never notified us of this special warranty either. Terrible experience - terrible car. We will NEVER buy another GM vehicle.

Four locks failing on the same vehicle has to be a quality issue that should be subject to a recall. I know other owners that are having the same issue with their door locks. This just seems like a quality problem that Chevy should recognize and address.

I bought a used Equinox in 2015, it was a 2011 model. I loved the SUV. It was my dream ride, lovely interior. Sound ride. Within a year and half, had to replace the transmission, but I was under warranty. Other issues arose where the repairs came out of my pocket. Recently the car was using excessive amounts of oil. I took it to the Waldorf, MD dealership, found out there was an oil consumption issue, the dealership wanted to charge me 6000 to 8000 to repair or replace the engine. The representative on the phone quoted those prices like I could just dig into my unlimited funds and pay this amount. Apparently the assumption is that we all had reams of money laying around to spend. Apparently, the car had a warranty for this issue which expired at 120,000 miles or 7 years. The SUV only had 98,000 miles, but unfortunately for me the clock started on the 7 years the day it was put in the showroom, and not the day I bought it. I reached out to GM and was informed the best they would offer me is 10 percent off the repair work. In the meantime I looked up my issue, and found GM had agreed to settle a lawsuit dealing with this issue, but the suit had not been finalized as of my complaint 10/7/2019. Its, shameful that a company as big as GM, who touts its reputation on producing top notch cars/SUVs and providing excellent customer service, would basically say 10 percent is the best I can do, when there is an outstanding lawsuit. Way to go GMs, you should be proud of yourselves.

Product Safety recall 08411 fuel system control module - Turns out the fuel system control module failed on my GM SUV, exactly like they said in the recall notice, however since my trucks VIN # is only a few units past the group of numbers they assumed to be the bad ones, no help at the dealer. I sent a note to GM, still waiting on a response.

I purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado in February 2017 with only 26 test drive mileage. Fast forward to August 2019 the vehicle wouldnt go into drive or reverse so I had it towed to Bomnin Chevrolet in Dadeland service department. I have always kept up with my OnStar diagnosis report which never had any major concerns just alerts when we need oil change or minor stuff i.e. tire needs air. The vehicle had no accidents or major repairs ever done to it so Im not understanding how the service department tells me I need to pay $4,600 for new transmission. I called GM customer relations and advised them of this but 2 weeks after all the back and forth no one to this day has resolved anything. Im still being asked to pay my normal monthly truck payment and no one is even hearing my main concern which is if such a new vehicle (2017) needs a transmission it has to be a faulty transmission in the vehicle all along. I kept up with my oil changes, the vehicle never had any accidents or off the market parts placed on it.

I called the customer service line for General Motors, to inquire about financial assistance with my 2003 GMC Savanna 2500 cargo van. I advised the customer service represenative Stephanie that the van was a 2003 with 47,000 miles and i had bought it from a private individual approximately 4 weeks earlier. I advised her that i was driving it and it sounded like something broke in the engine. She advised me i would need to take it to a GM dealer to have it diagnosed, and they would then see if they could provide me some type of finicial assistance. I payed to have my vehicle towed to nearby Chevrolet dealership, where it sat for a week before being looked at. The service manager then advised me they would need authorization either from me or GM, to tear it down, to determine the exact problem. I told the service Manager i would not be able to afford that added expense, not knowing if GM would provide any finicial assistance in their final determination. The next call i received was from Stephanie at GM customer service, she proceeded to advise me that GM would not be able to provide me any finicial assistance, due to the fact that the van was a 2003 and that i had not purchased it from a GM dealer. I then requested a answer as too why she did tell me this during our initial conversation, seeing how she was privy to that information during our first conversation. She did not give me a answer to that question, only replying she was sorry.

2014 Silverado LT with 42,000 miles, PO102 Mass Airflow sensor code. Cleared code only to have it come back on in less than 10 miles. Called GM Customer Service at which they issued a Service Request # and told me it was under warranty. Scheduled appointment with dealer to get it repaired only to find out it wasnt covered by factory warranty and there would be a charge of $309.00 to replace it. I called Customer Service while at the dealer and they argued back and forth with each other with the final verdict of NOT COVERED. I just lost 4 hours work @ over $40.00 per hour for this **. This is my last GM product. Only TOYOTA from now on.

I took my vehicle (2012 Equinox) to the dealership to have my piston rings replaced due to a recall. After having them replaced there was a noise coming from under the hood. I asked the dealership what was this noise, after having my vehicle for a month I was told that the noise is coming from a Vacuum which comes from the pistons not working properly. I was told that I must pay for this to be fixed because its not under warranty. My problem is that if the piston rings caused this and theres a recall for this, then the Vacuum problem should be in recall as well. I contacted GM and they told me the same thing the dealership said but added that this has not been seen in all vehicles. How many have to have this problem for GM to make it their priority? Not fair to pay for something that was caused by a recall!!!

Driving 42 Years I have always owned a GM Vehicle. After I finish paying off this 2016 Lacrosse I will never purchase another GM Vehicle again. I took my Car into Elk Grove Buick twice in two weeks suspecting a Transmission problem. They did their little computer check which showed nothing but I was still having the same issues. I took it to a independent service provider DK Automotive 712 E 18th St Antioch, CA 94509 and they listened and found the issue an internal problem with the transmission but they couldnt do the work because its still under the powertrain warranty but they did get in contact with a Chevrolet in Concord CA and I had the car transferred to them and they Concurred With DK after doing their own testing. Spoke with the Dealership today and they wont have the Car ready until Tuesday. Oh I also had to pay DK $150.00 to do the work that Elk Grove Buick should have done. I also was working with ** of GM PH# 866-790-5600 EXT ** who was going along with Elk Grove Buick and was willing to be a go between but wasnt pushing the envelope then had the nerve to tell me today that at least we found the issue. No (I) with my persistence, Footwork, and money found the issue. She also told me the rental Im forced to drive is not covered because its not a GM vehicle and they only cover three days of rental even though its taking more than three days to fix the vehicle. So Im done with GM. They just Kicked a long time customer to the curb.

I own 1 2015 Cadillac Srx and just purchased a 2020 Cadillac Escalade esv and will never purchase another gm vehicle again. I had a recall for for headlights on my 2015 and when I took it in had to pay for it which was no problem even though it was $1900 for 2 headlights but I was to be reimbursed from GM for a recall on the headlights. Then I contacted GM and they told I had the paperwork for the recall and they said it has expired and now I just have to pay the $1900 out of pocket. This is completely unprofessional especially during a pandemic. I live in Illinois and the whole state has been shut down pretty much since March besides for a few months. I did not read fine print on back of letter real small that said it expired. I think GM should recognize this recall and reimburse someone who has spent over 100k on vehicles from Cadillac in the last 4 years. Headlights that cost that much money should never go bad unless damaged.

Warning!!! Do not purchase a vehicle from GM or Victor Chevrolet! Their customer service is deplorable. Here is my ongoing log of what I have been going through since I leased a brand new 2015 Chevy Equinox on May 12, 2015. Please help by sharing this with everyone daily. I will keep posting updates until this matter has been resolved to my satisfaction!5/12/15 Tuesday, leased a brand new 2015 Chevy Equinox from Victor Chevrolet. Odometer reads 118. 5/17 Saturday, day 5, radio/Bluetooth went dead. Pushed all buttons, one of them reset radio. Bluetooth dead until I shut off car. Went in house, came back out and started car. Bluetooth worked. Hoping it was a one time deal. 5/21 Thursday a.m, on my way to work audio went dead, screen still lit. Went into Walmart, came out, started car, screen was dead. Bluetooth dead. Sent Kevin (my wonderful salesman who promised me before buying this lemon that he always takes care of his customers. What he meant by that has yet to been determined) an e-mail stating that I was having trouble with the radio/Bluetooth and needed it replaced with a functioning one. After all, it is brand new and under warranty!5/21 p.m., I spoke with Kevin and told him I would drop it off after I got out of work that day. After work that day, I had a friend follow me to Victor Chevrolet to drop off the car. I met Bill in Service. He told me he would call me when the car was fixed. I was surprised when Bill called me in less than an hour, telling me it was fixed. So my friend drove me back out to pick up my brand new repaired 2015 Equinox. When I got there to pick it up, Bill explained to me that the radio/Bluetooth system had what he called a glitch in it. GM was aware of the glitch and was working on a fix for it. He warned me that it may take 1-3 months to come up with a fix for the glitch. He said if it happened again, just press this button on the rear view mirror and it would reset. I left with the vehicle, foolishly thinking that it probably wouldnt happen immediately. Wrong!5/22 Friday, the next day it happened again. I pushed the button that Bill had told me to push, and yes the radio went back on, but the phone/Bluetooth wouldnt connect. 5/23 Saturday, called Victor Chevrolet. Told them this was absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable and I was bringing the lemon back and I wanted it fixed, or they would have to give me a new car, or cancel the lease. Their choice of the three options. When I brought it back, I met Phil the service manager. He immediately knew what the problem was! All it needed was a new module. Thats all, simple! He would order it and let me know when it was in. Really??? If it was that simple, why didnt Bill know this two nights ago when I had brought it in??? I said Im leaving it! I refuse to drive a brand new car without a radio/phone - fix it!. I did not agree to leasing a defective vehicle! Odometer approx. 450.5/28 Thursday, got a call from Phil. He told me he could not get the module he needed to fix the vehicle. Said GM has a hold on the part. They will not release this part. The part is VIN specific. It cant just be taken off another vehicle on the lot! I said so you cant fix it. He said no. I told him I wanted another car or the lease cancelled. He agreed that this is what should happen. 5/29 Friday, I was then pawned off on Ed **? spelling, who is the sales manager. Ed explained that he would have to get authorization from GM to do a buy back and then they would set me up with a new vehicle. Said he would get back to me on Monday 6/1. 6/1 Monday, getting the run around from Ed! Surprise!6/2 Tuesday, Phil gets on the phone and tells me that hes been talking with some people at GM and they have a solution! Really? I find this sudden revelation to be very interesting. These dirtbags will say anything and try anything to delay, delay, delay the end game here. Now they suddenly have a fix!? I doubt it, but Ill give them one last chance at this pathetic run-around game they are playing. I know they dont have a so called sudden fix, but whats another day, in this pathetic game? So now, Phil is going to reprogram the unit. GM is sending him by computer the new program. He will install the update in the lemon and he is going to miraculously fix the problem!!6/3 Wednesday, Phil has reprogrammed the unit and is now out test driving the lemon. Hes gone five miles and assures me its working well. I can come tomorrow to pick it up and drive away in my brand new 2015 Chevy Equinox. Cant wait! Im so excited, cant you tell? 6/4 Thursday, cant wait to spend my half day off, begging for a ride to go pick up my lemon! They fueled it up and even waxed it. Life is good! I pull out, stop home, go pick up my son, go to a store, go back home, get in the lemon again with both my sisters to go to visit a friend in the hospital. Guess what happens next? The audio goes dead, imagine that! I call Phil. Oh, hes going to call Onstar to see if they can get a code! There may be hope. He thinks they got a code. I bring it back to Victor Chevrolet. Phil is not there, I talk to Bill. I tell him I am done, keep it, I dont want it… EVER! Its worse than the boy who cried wolf. I cant stand it!Here is what I want. LEASE CANCELED. REFUND MY $3000.00 down payment before I have to make my first payment. Advised by Victor Chevrolet to Call GM Customer Service and set up a case number. Spoke with GM. Reiterated my complaint and was shuffled to DONNA (1-866-790-5600x**), who would now be in charge of my case. She assigned it a number: Service Request #**. This made me feel like maybe, just maybe, someone might be able to help. Hahaha, the joke was on me! Donna would later become known as worthless, non-responsive Donna, never to be heard from again, even after leaving several messages on her pathetic answering machine.6/8, message from Phil ** (service manager who seems to be the only one willing to talk about the lemon), he tells me he is talking with OnStar and he has forwarded all my info in an e-mail to them. 6/9, havent heard anything - as usual - so I text Phil and ask what hes heard. 6/10, Phil texts me that he is out with an infection. 6/11, Phil texts that he spoke with the TAC and OnStar people and they are sending a chassis overnight ship priority. 6/12 (Friday), told by Phil by text message that chassis has arrived and he was pulling the lemon in as he was texting me. Later texted that once it was installed, he would be test driving it to make sure all was well. Said I could plan on picking it up Saturday 6/13. 6/13 (Saturday), Phil was still testing it.6/15 (Monday), Phil reports that its all fine. Says he will deliver it to my house so I dont have to be inconvenienced for the umpteenth time. I agree. Texted Phil to thank him for the delivery at 5:06 p.m. Reported to Phil at 5:33 p.m. that I paired the vehicle with my phone, but when I dialed, it wanted to use OnStar Calling and not my phone. Reported to Phil at 7:50 p.m. that I pulled into my sons school parking lot and the radio went dead, no phone, no OnStar, no anything!!! Would not reset after pressing the suggested reset button. Turned vehicle off and back on, still nothing.6/16 Tuesday, started car in a.m to go to work. Everything working. 6/17 Wednesday, reported to Phil about working perfect on 6/16. Told him I would continue driving it and report back. 6/19 Friday, reported to Phil that it was working fine. Spoke too soon. 6/20 Saturday, went to a graduation party. Went to car, started it and made a phone call. The person didnt answer so I used the button on the steering wheel to cancel the call. My phone turned off, but the radio screen said connected to Marg cell at which time I couldnt use the radio or phone. I turned off the vehicle and the screen remained lit with that message. I turned the vehicle back on and the message remained for another 10 minutes before I gave up and shut it off and walked away. Went back to the graduation party. Returned to the vehicle about an hour later and it worked fine. (VIDEO).6/23 Tuesday, heading to work and screen goes dead. Same as usual. Hit reset button radio goes back on, but no phone and no OnStar. Come out after work, and all is working. Need car through the weekend for my sons High School graduation. Will take notes and return lemon for third and final BS no-fix attempt that is required by lemon law. Pathetic. 6/25 Thursday, same exact thing as 6/23. On the way to work. 6/27 Saturday, after graduation, on the way to Delmonicos. This time Jim is driving which allows me to videotape exactly what it does. (VIDEO).6/28 Sunday, texted Phil with the news. I will be bringing the lemon back. Will need a loaner off the lot. Unlike the rental car from Enterprise offered to me before, that would have required my credit card. When asked why they would need my credit card, their response at Enterprise was in case Victor Chevy doesnt pay. REALLY? Thanks, but no thanks!!! Of course I declined that snake oil offer.6/29 Monday, heard from Phil. They have a loaner. Told him I would be in to leave the lemon and take the loaner. Did that at 1 p.m. Nice way to spend my vacation day off. Ugh! 6/30 Tuesday, texted Phil the following: Hows it going Phil. Is the 3rd nonfix done? That was a joke!!! What is GMs response at this stage of the pathetic game that they are playing? They either have an immediate fix or they no fix at all! You and I both know there is no satisfactory repair for this car! We need to resolve this asap.7/1 Wednesday, texted Phil. Asked if anything was happening. His response: Barb, a lot I have been escalating everything with GM tech including buy back. I am out of the office but I have a GM exec thats going to call you. I will be in touch soon! Bill was also going to follow up fyi. Thanks. Phil 7/6 Monday, texted Phil to see if anything new. Told him I hadnt heard from any GM EXEC as stated in his previous text. As a matter of fact, I told him that he was the only one I have heard from. 7/7 Tuesday, his response: Barb, I have escalated your case to the area sales and service manager! I have sent numerous emails, and made several phone contacts. Updated your favorite Donna.

Tedd Britt Chevrolet (Sterling, VA) and General Motors has given me the run around. They have shown gross negligence by refusing to replace my newly purchased 2020 Silverado 1500. I have been tossed around from manager to manager, from advisor to advisor. Nobody wants to be the one caught with the customer (me) in a potential lawsuit:I have put less than 15,000 miles on the vehicle, hardly owned six months. First owner. The vehicle has been in FIVE TIMES for various electrical issues including brake system failures (x3), and most recently the vehicle shut off while I was traveling +60mph. I fear for my safety. See attached invoice photos. Their staff sees you as a number - a price tag. Their “Customer Experience Manager” did not even look at me, he talked over me, and downright refused to help me - would not even give me the customer service phone number. He said it was not his problem. Incredible. Don’t waste your time, or your safety. Buy a Ford.

From the day we took delivery of this new Hummer H2, it has been nothing short of a nightmare of repairs. The roof seam leaked from day 1 and it took at least a dozen trips to the dealer to fix. The check engine light was next and 2 trips to the dealer fixed that, a new fuel filler neck assembly. Next the speedometer quit working and we had to drive the truck for a year with no idea what the speed was before the parts were available at the dealer to fix. At the same time, the ignition switch failed and was replaced with 1 trip to the dealer. After that the climate control system quit working correctly, blows heat out of one side and A/C out of the other when in the A/C mode. A part called an actuator fixed the passenger side but now the drivers side is blowing heat out like the passenger side. The climate control system has never worked right and never will. Theres nothing like a family summer vacation with the heat on in a $52,000 truck. We have had to just roll the windows down and suck it up until you get home. I have lost tens of thousands of dollars in lost work time taking this truck to be repaired. Would I buy another GM product? I would not take it if you gave it to me. I cant afford the time off work or the repair bills. This truck is a 2004 with 54,000 miles on it and is garage kept, never been off road. It still has the original tires on it and they are only about 70% worn. The customer service dept stated that GM would buy the truck back during the dozen roof repair attempts, but the amount they wanted to give us back should have been a criminal offense after what we paid for this truck.

At the beginning of 2015 at 121,000 miles on my Traverse it was diagnosed with timing chain issues. A couple of weeks (end of Jan 2015) later I received a letter from Chevy extending the warranty on the timing chain (mind you the letter was dated for Nov 2014) to 120,000. However because I was 1,000 miles over the warranty there was nothing they would do for me. Repairs would start at $3,000. After calling GM on a few occasions still there is nothing they will do. Then there comes more warranty extensions for Throttle Position Sensor that is part of the Throttle Body again pass the allowable miles.I am at a loss how a company can have know about these issues for years then when knowing that most of these 2009 vehicles are probably past the mileage warranties they extend warranties to prevent a recall. As of right now my 2009 Chevy Traverse is now a $32,000 paperweight. The catastrophic break down of the timing chain has happened. Looking for some remedy for a mutual satisfaction my auto technician has told me that with all the issues that motor has (which GM has been aware of for sometime now) it is not worth putting that kind of money and work into it and suggests a used motor as the more reasonable remedy.

It was definitely an informative visit in March 2021 at Starling Chevrolet in Mount Pleasant SC - this is about a GM warranty issue! Apparently GM uses parts that that do not work well for very long based on this event. Another customer brought in her car because of a noise it makes all the time. Her service advisor told her even if it was still under warranty, GM would not replace the part because the part was still working! Well, it wasnt working correctly, and obviously if it is now noisy, which the mechanic had verified it was, it was certainly not well and just when might it get worse?? I was very angry about this because my older GM car was in there for service and repair and I expect to buy a new car in the next three months, and this would certainly eliminate all the GM cars from my list. I went to the showroom receptionist and asked to see the general manager or sales manager to express my opinion about the policy and let them know it had cost them my sale, but neither of them was available - she tried to reach them by phone but was also unsuccessful. After I went home, I called again to see if either was available and was told no, then I asked for the corporate office phone number and she said she didnt have it. So that left me to file this information online to try to warn others of this warranty policy before they buy a Chevy or Buick or Cadillac or any other GM truck or car or other vehicle in case it matters to them if GM wont replace a part making noises when wearing out even if under warranty because they consider the part as working. Shouldnt it have to be working right???

I bought a new 2006 Chevy Express Van. It had all the features that I needed for selling at the flea market. After a few years the paint on the front started to peel. My friend had a 2008 and his did also that is on the hood. I went to the dealer in Punta Gorda and he said they could do nothing. On the way to see them I saw a 3rd one with the same problem. Since this time I have seen at least 150 Vans (different years) with the same problem. I was told dirt got under the paint causing the paint to bubble then peel. This is what the dealer said. I have peeling on the back and side also. I notice that it bubbles first then the bubble breaks and then it starts to peel. I had an item fall against my fender and chip the paint. It has not peeled nor bubble in that area.

October 20, 2019 my 2016 GMC Canyon Duramax went into limp mode. It has essentially been in dealer shop since then. Parts delays, major parts replacements have all resulted in the same failure codes. GMC resolution group (I’m now on my third rep) has admittedly trying and the local dealer as well, however it’s been over 150 days and still no ‘resolution’. On one hand I do have a loaner even though I am out of warranty, on the other I do not have my customized truck I use to manage my ranch where we live, and my most recent rep is essentially telling me ‘we are in the driver’s seat and you can wait until we fix it or you can come get it’. No more “yes sir we understand and we are trying”. I guess they are tired of my frustration but after 150 days one would think they could fix their own product. I don’t think they will be able to figure it out if they haven’t by now and wonder what the process is for my truck? Will they buy it back or simply tell me to come pick it up and charge me for repairs and parts that did not work??? Not happy with GMC but I guess they are doing what they can, which is not resulting in a successful repair of happy customer. :(

I love my 2002 GMC Envoy! This has most definitely been my fav vehicle that I have ever owned. My Envoy has so much space for transportation of items or for long distances with the family. I chose this vehicle originally based on the spaciousness! The GMC gave me the right amount of luxury and was still amazingly functional for my large family! I could easily put my daughters wheelchair in the back but still be able to park it once we got where we were going. The only downfall of owning my Envoy has been the prices that all replacement parts seem to be! If anything breaks on the Envoy, I have Easily dropped at least $200 on the replacement part. This is ridiculous! That also doesnt include the cost of the work that was done to it.

I purchased a 2020 Yukon Denali at the end of December 2019. I have purchased a new Yukon or Tahoe every year since 1996. My experiences in the past have been generally great since Im always driving a vehicle with very low mileage and always still under warranty. This 2020 model had only 7000 miles on it when several service lights started to appear on the instrument panel. These included ABS braking system, Stabilitrack, Forward collision system, Cruise control, and Trailer brake system. Any of these can be serious safety issues. I brought it in immediately to my dealer in Branson, Missouri, Pinegar GMC around the first week in July. They checked it out and said it was a faulty module of some sort that controls all those things and they should have the part in a few days. It has been 2 months and they not only still do not have the part but cannot say when it will ever show up. My question is why cant they get one off the assembly line since they are obviously building these cars every day and must need these modules to keep production going? Very poor communication and customer service.

My 2011 Traverse has had many service issues and been unreliable. The local dealer has had an unhelpful and cavalier attitude at best. I have had warranty work 4 times and a recall once in 3 years 9 months. It is in its 3rd water pump. I have 85,000 km on the vehicle (52,000 miles). I asked the agent if he used an upgraded water pump since they were prone to failure. He said he did not know and that they were not prone to failure. (It is all over the internet - they leak from the shaft seal. Both mine did. It is unreasonable to expect to have to replace it every 2 years).I have lost many (uncompensated) days use of this vehicle waiting for warranty work. (The last time the pump went on June 26 & the dealer would not even look at it till July 6. I was vehicleless the entire time. The dealer does not provide a replacement until after they confirm warranty work is needed but then do not look to confirm such for many days). The first time I was vehicleless it was for several days too but I cannot confirm for how many. I have had other issues and now I am just frustrated.

I own a 2 year old Buick Envision. I heard a noise coming from under the vehicle at only 7k miles. The dealership and GM continually told me nothing was wrong. I did not give up. It took months but they finally determined there was a loose baffle in the exhaust. They finally replaced the exhaust. Dealing with them was extremely difficult. Very recently when leaving for vacation with bikes mounted on the back of the vehicle the car battery was dead. Nothing was left on and the vehicle is supposed to be protected from accessories remaining on and draining the battery. Again, GM is not standing behind the vehicle. The dealerships have prepared or canned answers for everything as to avoid making good on the warranty. As a professional buyer and car enthusiast I cannot recommend anyone buy a GM vehicle. You will not have the warranty you think you have and the vehicles experience more problems than other cars.

Ive driven plenty of V8 engines with various transmissions and never had this issue. It is NOT SAFE! The fact that GM is just shrugging this off is quite concerning. They have offered no help with this problem and passed the responsibility to the dealer. 100% unhappy. I will never buy a GM again and will recommend to everyone I know to do the same. BEWARE!

I have a 2010 Chevy Malibu that I bought in October 2014. It only had a little over 14,000 miles at time of purchase. No problems until it reached 73,000 miles about a month ago (as you can see, I dont even put normal annual mileage on my car), when it started having transmission issues. It started when I couldnt back my car out of my garage and then it wouldnt even go into Drive without screeching and jerking. Got it to our local GM dealer, by driving back roads, because my husband couldnt get it to shift out of 1st and 2nd gear. Found out it needed a new transmission already and was encouraged by the shop manager to contact GM, because with this mileage, it wasnt normal, even though all the warranties were expired. I paid $3200 for my transmission. Now my car sounds abnormal and my husband took in to the same GM dealer and was told that my Timing Change would need to eventually be changed ($1500). I contacted GM, spoke with Renee and was told, Due to the age of your car, theres nothing we can do. All this despite the low mileage on my car. Ive been a long-standing GM buyer and will no longer buy any GM product. Since she wouldnt even listen to what I had to say, all she said was that, I will report it, but theres nothing we can do.

I purchased a 2011 Chevy Impala LTZ from King Auto in 2012. It was certified pre-owned with very low mileage. It came with warranty coverage, but luckily I purchased additional extended warranty coverage. My first problem I had was the rack & pinion needing to be replaced. Then one day there was a knocking noise coming from the dashboard area, that turned out to be the acuator valves needing to be replaced. I had to go to the dealer twice about the acuator valves needing to be replaced. The acuator valves and rack & pinion problem was in 2013. For the next 3 years I did not experience any major problems, but in May of 2016 my L.E.D. readout display said SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL - SERVICE STABILITRAK!! Immediately after seeing that display, I experienced major engine failure and other mechanical problems. This happened without warning. My car was towed to Ourisman Chevy and they said that the engine needed to be replaced. The Chevy Impala only had 78,000 miles and it needed a new engine. My warranty plan paid for the engine to be replaced. Fast forward November 11, 2019. Im coming from visiting my mother. My Chevy is riding smooth, no problems. Then suddenly without warning, my check engine light begins flashing, the motor starts rumbling and losing power, and the display says SERVICE STABILITRAK - SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL. The same problem from 2013 happened again. Plus my Onstar daignostic report confirmed the same problems. The next day Im at the dealership, Ourisman Chevy, and after hours of diagnosing my car they bring me to the back of the shop, and the mechanic working on my car shows and tell me that my pistons were misfiring thousands of times and that the camshaft was damaged. He said there was no way to repair the damage and that the engine would have to be replaced. The service tech then tells me that its only going to cost $4,500 plus other expenses to get my Chevy back on the road. My car had 126,014 miles on the odometer. I want to say that my extended warranty company at the time replaced my engine with an engine that had 38,000 miles on it, and my car had 78,000 miles when the engine went bad in 2013. This means that the second engine only lasted for a little more than 48,000 miles. I want to also add that my neighbor and co-worker also owned the same Chevy, same year, and the also experienced the same exact problem with the rack & pinion, acuator valves and ultimately the STABILITRAK SYSTEM failing thereby causing all 3 of us disappointment in this product. My co-worker stated that his car had 126,000 miles when his STABILITRAK SYSTEM and other problems occurred. My neighbor and co-worker had to replace their Chevys too.On November 11, 2019 when my Chevy Impala died for the second time with the same problem, I did not have an extended warranty. I will never purchase another Chevy product. I am terribly disappointed, and I hope that they read this review. I also hope that they have corrected the STABILITRAK SYSTEM on the newer Chevy Impalas.

It has been 3 months since GM has classified our truck as a lemon, and still do not have a replacement truck. After complying with documents 3 times to Henry and getting little to no help we were turned over to Sean who has only been slightly better. If you ask to speak to his supervisor first he will then call you back, then today being told by Sean that he contacted the Dealership about ordering us a new truck, then checking with that dealership and being read the emails from Sean this was not the case. I was told that we had to find a like truck and send the VIN # which I have but the truck is sold by the time Sean gets around to replying to the emails I send. This whole experience has caused extreme hardship as I need the truck to tow our trailer to Houston for my Husbands cancer treatments and it has been a financial burden driving and paying for Hotels as well as compromising my Husbands health by staying in Hotels, etc. All we want is a truck to replace the Lemon Truck we have so I can keep my Husband safe in our own trailer.

Potentially, this is the reason why I havent been contacted but still surprised that a possible negative comment made didnt get a reply. So now, I need to get serious before the conflict gets out of hand. I do want to be fair but Im concerned that the car was purchased and not leased. Because I wanted it to be my last large purchase, it wont outlive me and will only start being a headache for both of us. Please reply and lets discuss options for both parties.

Own 3 Chevy Sonics. 2014 I bought mine, loved it so much we bought our 2 children one each in 11/16. In Jan of this year (2018) our sons car burnt up while it was parked and ignition was off for at least an hour. No modifications were made to this car. Fire department, and insurance company both said that the fire started under the hood. We called GM immediately. It took over 3 1/2 months for GM to even send anyone to look at it and it was after the insurance company had to threaten them. I went back to dealership, and was told that the car was still under factory warranty and they should have investigated it as soon as it happened. The GM investigator that did speak to me was rude and told me (3 months after the fire), I am sure the car has been scrapped for metal by now...which it had not been. He also said Well we dont know that the car catching on fire was fault due to the motor...and I replied You wouldnt know cause you sent no one out. On April 3, 2018 I emailed our insurance company and they said that GM would have a decision in 2 weeks. I have requested a status regularly and it has been 7 months with no response as in no call, email or letter from GM. All I asked was that they stand by their warranty. I understand that to GM this is a game of corporate bullying. They have no interest in providing a valid service to their customers. Their mission statement We at GM make a strong commitment to our customers, employees, partners, and other important stakeholders. They continue to promote that they are guided by five principles including Safety and Quality first...Create Lifelong Customers. GM has demonstrated to me that they do not stand by their product or their mission. GMs only mission is to serve themselves at the expense of their customers. I will never buy a GM vehicle again.

I own a 2012 Chevy Equinox (52000 miles) that I purchased from my Chevy dealership. The key fab holds the brass key in pot metal and it broke last year. That key was replaced under warranty. Saturday, the key I got to replace that key broke in the same manner. (25,000 miles later) Saturday, I brought the key in and was told I need to talk with the Service Manager. I explained the problem to the Service Manager and he offered me a new key at a discount. If I had something to do with the key breaking, I would be fine with the offer. Plus, there is no guarantee that the same issue will not happen to the new key. I do not want to be purchasing a new key every so often because of poor design. I was only 2,000 miles out of warranty and they would not replace a recurring issue.I wrote the president of the dealership and she said sorry but would not do anything. My steering wheel has also worn away and I had to put a cover on it. Poor quality. I own a VW TDI which I will be trading in sometime in November. Today was a true test of your customer service. I planned on purchasing a ton crew cab truck to replace the VW. After this experience I do not plan on considering your dealership at this point. I also plan on taking my business elsewhere for service.

Cadillac Cue System started going out when vehicle was two years old. Now it is completely dead. Which means my car is essentially brain dead. I bought the car used with only 7000 miles on it in May of 2010. This car is a 2010 Chevrolet HHR. This car has been a NIGHTMARE to own. It has been the most expensive car to date that I have ever had to repair. Right out of the gate, the car had turn signal issues where it would not shut off. They repaired. Then it was the front wheel bearings which ironically they do not consider to be part of the Drive Train Warranty so I replaced both of these out of pocket. The car immediately afterwards required 2 new rear shocks at 40 thousand miles and then the front struts replaced again out of pocket at 45 thousand.Front discs needed replaced because they put in soft metal for the brake discs. Driving down the road, the car was fine, get to a red light and the car start sputtering and jumping and acting like it was going to die. Take it in and the dealership tells me that the codes state that they have to replace all the cam shaft sensors in the car since they have no way to diagnose which one is going bad and it was going to cost me 600 to do the work with 4 hours labor. Went online and lo and behold there is a video on just this issue and how to fix it. I bought the parts for $152.00 and 20 minutes under the hood closed it and started my car, Voila fixed. Why was it 600 dollars to fix with 4 hours labor when a peon like me can do it in 20 minutes. I can tell you why GM has to pay for the RECALLS somehow. I then one day went out to my car started it up and heard a loud bang and then the front end started jumping up and down. The cooling fan came on when I turned on the AC and broke a blade off. Again the dealership wanted almost 500.00 dollars to replace. Went to the trusted internet and there is the repair on video. Bought the cooling fan for 70 bucks and 1 hour of my time later, I had the old one out and new one in. The power window switches have gone out. The speakers on the radio come in and out whenever they want to work. Next thing that went out on, the car the Fuel Lines. Drove home and smelled gas, kept smelling it off and on for several weeks before it finally became evident that it was happening as it was running down my carport and eating the paint off the drive. I told the dealership and guess what? DING DING DING, 780 dollars to repair, not trusting myself with this repair. I contacted my mechanic that quoted me 360 dollars to fix and told me yep, just had another one of those cars in here for the same thing with the same car. He stated that Chevrolet is aware of this and has put out a bulletin on it. Really, you have these cars going down the road as a potential fireball and all you do is put out a bulletin. Just got the car back from GM last night with a repair bill of 1,707 dollars. The car on Saturday 12/12/15 started off with the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) light went off and the front end started groaning and vibrating, I got the car off the highway and shut it off, waited about 15 minutes and started it back up. No Light on so I decided I need to turn around and go home. The check engine light came on and the car lost power and at 60 going down the highway, was running at 5 thousand RPM.I finally limped into the driveway and do research and there are THOUSANDS of these complaints. I take it to GM Dealership with the codes that it was throwing. They call me later that day. The transmission solenoids had gone out and that the wiring harness inside the transmission had start a small leak inside it which most likely was the reason it shorted out the solenoids again. This took them dropping the transmission out of the car and replacing all this. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting the way GM is, they do not care about you or that car you bought. You are a sucker when you buy their product. Now we have not even touched the recalls. This car has gone through 3 ignition switches and a Power Steering motor and an Air Bag recall (not Takata related) they just exploded on their own.I have filed complaint after complaint after complaint to GM to only have them ignored for 2 years. What got them jumping was a complaint to The Better Business Bureau. I spoke to Mary at GM Disputes and took them 4 days to decide that they wanted to give me $1,500 dollar Gift Cert for a New GM Car she called it a Customer Loyalty Certificate. Told her that was very unacceptable that there was no Customer Loyalty when GM Shows no loyalty to their customers. I will see what I can do by contacting a lawyer. This car is the WORST thing to come from Detroit and that is to include the Studabaker because Im sure as ** would take a Studebaker over this car.

Took tahoe in for running badly. Told it needed a tune up. Ha. Platinum tip plugs on their Monroney sticker on windshield states platinum tip plugs good for 100k. They cleaned the throttle body. Replaced the platinum tip plugs with of course platinum tip plugs and after 300 dollars still runs rough. Mind u this tahoe has less than 80k miles. Then was told it had a broken motor mount on drivers side. Another 550 to replace. Called GM, no help at all. Give us a 100 back on the 300 dollars already spent for original problem that still isnt fixed. I have been in the car business for 20 plus years. Was a GM and manager for several dealerships. Pigs poor service from GM. Would never buy another GM product!! Terrible customer service!! Talked to Natalie originally and was told they would get involved if the local dealer didnt do anything. After I talked to her, asked for her boss and was told the same bs. Asked for her supervisor and was told couldnt give me that info. This is how gm takes care of their customers??

I took my 2015 GMC Terrain Denali Edition (Carport kept - excellent condition) to my local GMC dealer for service. My windshield wipers totally failed during a thunderstorm on a dark backroad at night. But for the Grace of God I wasnt hurt or killed - I had to figure out how to find a pull-off to address the problem. I took it in for service repair to my GMC shop and explained the problem - and also noted that wiper failure is a current problem with other year groups and models.I received a call that the wiper transmission failed - but due to it not being under recall I will be charged $351. I told them that it is absolutely unacceptable. Wiper transmissions should not fail at 85K miles - considering that I never experienced this type of problem before and have owned high mileage vehicles. They told me they had no power to do anything. I called GMC customer service and they claim they have no power to defer charges. Nonsense. I am lucky that I was not hurt or killed based upon their defective part. Further, GM was bailed out by my tax dollars because they are too big to fail. Well, my windshield wiper transmission was too important to fail, and it still did.

Where do I begin? GM Canada is a joke. I bought a 2019 GMC elevation blacked out edition in summer of 2019 and the first 500 km the tailgate started falling on me for no reason so I went to Prouse Motors in Sault Ontario to get warranty for the tailgate. They got ahold of gm Canada and they told them they will not fix the tailgate BC there was no known issues with them yet (forgot to mention I had my utility trailer on the back and the jack stand scratched and dented the ** outta the tailgate) so basically they said I was ** and the only way I would get a new tailgate is if it drops when someone from prouse motors was driving it. What a joke right? So after 4 times they had my truck it finally dropped. Took close to 5 months to get a new tailgate after that and Ive been back 3 times because of the paint job on it and tailgate being loose. While all that crap was going on I started to have transmission problems and its been to the dealer many many times and still to this very day its still not fixed. Then at 4000 km the steering column locked up on me and they had to put a new column in and the speakers on the passenger side of the truck went all ** on me. Ive either called or been to the dealership every week since I own this truck this truck has been nothing but a nightmare. I tried to plead my case and to get gm to buy the truck off me and put me in something else BC the truck is a LEMON. The only thing they would do is give me 2000$ towards a trade in so they expect me to lose my ** on the trade in and Pay more monthly for a plain Jane p.o.s I never in my life had such piss poor service than gm and the dealer. I will NEVER in my lifetime own another gm product. I will go buy a Ford or a Dodge before Ill even think about gm piss poor trucks... Before you buy a truck from gm I recommend take the time and read all the review. The only review I noticed that have 5 stars is the people who only owned the truck for couple weeks to a month. Steer away from GMC or Chevy. Dont make the same mistake I did. One pissed off GMC truck owner

Highly dissatisfied and frustrated GM and my local dealership, Randy Marion
Highly dissatisfied and frustrated GM and my local dealership, Randy Marion Chevrolet, for attempts to dodge repairing a known problem with my 2012 Chevy Equinox for excessive oil consumption. Ive bought probably a dozen or more GM vehicles over the past 20+ years (3 in my driveway now) and I dont ever want to see the service department at Randy Marion Chevrolet again, or own another GM vehicle. Im that upset. I posted my full complaint at carcomplaints.com (2012 Equinox engine problems -- excessive oil consumption) to warn other people who might want to buy an Equinox or deal with this dealership. Service department as well as GM Customer Service is not to be trusted and uses any excuse to avoid fixing a known problem with this vehicle, despite a letter from GM saying what the problem is and what the fix is.GM seems to communicate with the dealership and back them up in their ridiculousness and go against their own letter stating they know the car has a problem and what the proper fix is. Been going back and forth with them since March over an issue with excessive oil consumption in my car, and still no fix. Ive put another 15,000 miles on my car that is frequently low or not even registering oil. No one should have to repeatedly prove that their car is consuming excessive amounts of oil. Ive had them document it at least 5 or maybe 6 times and because my car needed a new timing chain at the end of this long oil consumption test process they tell me I have to start everything over again.Letter clearly says its a piston ring problem and they know about it. Common sense is out the window here. Very disappointed at their efforts to delay fixing my car when they know its consuming oil. Concerned about how much damage is being done to my engine. Read my story on carcomplaints.com and be warned! GM does not stand behind their vehicles anymore, and I wont support them any longer.

I call GM to complain and quickly get escalated to a senior adviser. She doesnt return any of my calls and finally says GM will pay $100 of my $500 bill. Keep in mind I have to replace the tires I bought in July 2014, not even a full year ago, once the front end is repaired. I email GM and receive a call from the executive offices. 9/15/17- Purchased 2014 Chevy Equinox, also paid $2500 for an extended warranty with CNA National. 7/18/18 - Vehicle just shut off while driving for maybe 10 minutes. It felt as if the battery had died. Please note I had no other issues prior to this with the vehicle. Tried to start it, and it sounded as if someone was playing the drums under my hood. Pushed car to safe location, and went home for the evening.7/19/18 – I got a ride to the vehicle with hopes of it starting. Same thing happened. So, I reached out to my warranty company (CNAN) and was told that I can have the vehicle towed through their Roadside Assistance to a repair shop of my choice, and once an estimate was prepared, they would pay over the phone with a credit card. I had the vehicle towed to Quality Buick GMC in Alton, IL. 7/20/18 - Received a call from Quality that timing chain was busted, along with several other items, and engine was full of sludge. They stated I was still covered under GM Powertrain warranty and they submitted all of the information to GM, and got me a rental through Enterprise.7/24/18 - Received a call from Quality stating that GM declined repairs, and now extended warranty company would not pay for the rental I had for days. I contacted GM and requested a supervisor to discuss options. Supervisor stated that they would review case and contact me within 2 days. With the vehicle having under 100,000 miles, she didn’t see any reason why they wouldn’t cover it. She asked where the vehicle was located and I started Quality Buick GM in Alton, after searching their database, she said they were not certified to do the repairs, and the vehicle would have to be towed to another location. She reached out to Jack ** in Wood River, and also as a courtesy, reached out to Chevy Roadside assistance to do a Dealer to Dealer transfer at no cost to me. I was very grateful for that. She said the roadside assistance company would reach out to me within 20 minutes, and gave me a number to call if they did not. 45 minutes went by and I called Chevy Roadside Assistance to follow up on the transfer. Of course, they had no information, and was not eligible for the transfer. I contacted GM Warranty again, and they said she was not allowed to do that, and there was nothing they could do at that moment, and case was re-opened and pending investigation. Reached out to CNAC (extended warranty company) and Roadside Assistance wasn’t available with them either until 7 days from last time used. Frustrated, I hang up, and look for other options online. I received a call from Allstate Ins. that they were attempting to pick up the vehicle, but there was a $300 balance with Quality Pontiac before vehicle could be transferred. They stated they were called out by Chevy Roadside Assistance, who just told me they had no information for transfer. So, I reached out to Quality for information on balance owed. They stated $100+ for opening up the engine, and the remaining balance was for the rental. Also, vehicle would not be released until balance was paid. I explained to them that GM Warranty needed a Certified Dealer to estimate repairs, and they informed me they are a certified dealer. I called GM Warranty back to let them know what was going on, and they said the other person I talked to must be new, or not know what she is doing, because Quality is a certified dealer. I would only be getting charged more money by having another dealer open up the engine to do the estimate. I explained to them I would be leaving the vehicle at Quality, and gave them the contact info for the service department for investigation on repairs.7/26/18 - Received a call from GM Warranty that repairs would not be covered due to it not being a manufacturer defect. That was their final answer. I spoke with 2 different service departments, Quality, and Jack ** and they stated there is no way the sludge in the engine could have been caused in the 10 months I’ve had the vehicle. Oil changes were always done on time, and I have proof of that. So, how it is that I now have a car with $6000+ damages, and a 14,000 balance on, $600 balance for rental + Quality doing estimate, and I’m responsible. I drive my car to make a living, and not only am I without a car, I’m now also without a job. I am beyond frustrated, and any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.
