My Panasonic microwave has fire inside because the surface coating has rubbed and warming off from the inside of the microwave. This is a defective item.

Out of all the brands Ive had such as Sanyo and Samsung, the Panasonic microwave I have has been the most durable long lasting one. It also heats up food really well in very little time whereas other brands take twice the time and heat.

Microwave that stopped working after six months - The door hinge on the Panasonic microwave is broken. It will not open or close properly. Sometimes, the unit will turn on with nothing in it and other times, it will just leave the light on in the system. It doesnt work properly. They suggest I drive it to a service center and they might fix it for free.

The pros: large area for cooking, even cooking, lots of bells and whistles, fast defrost. Overall, I loved this microwave. My complain news. After about 6 months of use, we began having problems with the door. It was not latching properly. My husband was able to rectify that for several months by using a lubricant on it. But now, left down a year later, we are no longer able to use the microwave and the door has become completely non-functional. We must now replace the whole microwave.

I've had this tv for a number of years and have never had a repair bill for it. The picture is clear and the sound is great too. The price was reasonable. What more could one ask for? I would buy this brand again.

So not even a year into Panasonic Microwave and its broken suddenly. When I open the microwave door it turns on and when I close the door it doesnt do anything. Its such a bizarre malfunctioning. Really upset! Never buying a Panasonic microwave again!

This microwave was already in the house I bought and after 6 years, it still works well. I have had 3 Panasonic microwaves in different houses and they have all worked well with no problems and they have lasted for as long as I lived in the houses.

Panasonic NN-T945SFX Microwave - I was cooking and I heard a loud cracking noise. I opened the microwave and the tray was in multiple pieces. I had to toss my food because it had small pieces of glass in it. I called Panasonic and these trays are on back-order and I believe it is because this is something that is common with this model. I will not replace this tray. It is almost as much as a new microwave, and I have to wait for the part, and not trusting that the new tray will be safe to use.

I purchased a Panasonic microwave NN-SD698S fifteen months ago. It stopped working with an H98 error. I E-mailed Panasonic. They replied to contact the authorized service. The service person said it would be a $225 job. I called panasonic. They said sorry, you are out of warranty. I asked for a supervisor. They put me on a lengthy hold three times, then said all supervisors were busy, they would call back within 48 hours. I insisted on waiting. A supervisor suddenly came in two minutes. The suggestion was to buy a new one. This is legal stickup! How could the authorities allow companies to violate consumers like this, especially when so many have had similar issues with Panasonic microwaves, is beyond me. This affects our society, because the ripple affect is that a ripped off person rips off another person to compensate, and this transcends into a degraded society.

I bought my Panasonic microwave about four years ago and had no problems until today when we were using it. The thing started smoking bad with a burnt smell. I opened it up and the inside started on fire. I would like Panasonic to replace it. There should be a class action lawsuit against Panasonic. This is dangerous and a fire hazard.

The microwave will not power on and it is still in the warranty period.

My Panasonic microwave caught on fire in my kitchen. I emailed to let Panasonic know. They told me because it was out of warranty they would give me 30% off a new one. I do not want another Panasonic, it CAUGHT ON FIRE!! They seemed not to care about their product catching fire. I have since learned it has happened many times before.

This is no complaint. Just wanted to say as I was wiping out my microwave I realized that Ive had it almost 29 years. It is a Panasonic Genius Model NE 7960 and it has never needed a repair, looks as new as the day I bought it and I tell everyone how old it is. Used it with 3 children and now use it mostly to heat things and thaw things. Paid $350 for it which was a lot as I am a widow raising the children at the time. Ive been more than satisfied with it and would buy another if necessary. Thank you for an excellent product and others that my family have purchased.

Panasonic microwave NN-SN797S - We bought it at Costco after having returned the first one of its kind because the door was so incredibly hard to close. This one was slightly better but still very hard closing. The door interlock is on such flimsy metal that it bends when closing the door. The top latch in the door eventually snapped and the microwave stopped working. Its obviously a manufacturing defect, and from what Ive read here it is a common one for panasonic. We will NEVER buy another panasonic anything.

This Panasonic NN-SN942B microwave has been the best M/W unit we have ever owned. It works flawlessly, does what it is supposed to. The only issue we have, is it has just developed a switch problem with the door closing and the panel does not light up. Going to replace the switch and get another 10 years use out of it.

I have the larger microwave at home; the smaller version at the office. I thought the larger was rather spendy, but if you broke down the cost compared to the number of years Ive had it, its money well spent. We had the fuse burn out once. Easy to repair ourselves and relatively inexpensive.

I got my first Panasonic microwave in December of 1986. No bells or whistles just good quality service from a microwave that lasted for 15 years. Bought my second Panasonic microwave in 2001... quite an upgrade. This one was an Inverter model. LOVED IT! In a household of 7, this unit held up quite well for 10 years. Bought my third Panasonic microwave in November of 2011... same exact model as the previous model. Today, I have had to call to find a repair center because unless you SLAM the door, the unit will not work. Taking into consideration the declined use of the microwave, compared to the previous one, I am terribly disappointed in the quality of this unit. According to the owner of the repair shop (that I am to see for the repairs), this is a common problem in the newer Panasonic microwaves. Maybe its time to switch to a different brand.

This microwave works really well. My food is always heated at a good speed and heated fully. It also does really well when using directions from food packages on how long to put stuff in. That is why I bought this microwave because it is the standard 1200 Watt.

I Love Panasonic, just keeps going and going, only one problem in the 10 years that I have it was a broken latch, fixed it myself and no problems since. At the time I broke the latch, my own fault, I bought another Panasonic as a backup just in case I couldn't repair the old unit, that was two and one-half years ago. I kept the new one I bought because it was on sale and noticed that it is selling for another $20.00 on retail price.

I purchased this microwave from Best Buy on April 30, 2016. Two days ago while microwaving macaroni and cheese, gray smoke came from both sides of the microwave, nearly caught my house on fire. The macaroni and cheese had only been on for less than a minute and turned my microwave yellow. I immediately unplugged it, looked at the outlet looked at the back of the microwave and waited for my husband to get home. We read plugged it in the next day and the smoke and smell immediately started again. I called customer service to find out if I need to bring it to a repair center or what could be done. I was told this matter is very serious and my complaint would be sent over to a manager. I was then emailed by a lead consumer affairs employee who asked for pictures and more information.I was then called the next day by the lead consumer affairs associate who was beyond rude and unprofessional. She immediately asked for me to re-explain what happened, then followed it up by saying that it was my fault, that the engineer who reviews pictures stated that I clearly overcooked the microwave, that I need to clean my microwave in, that my warranty was voided. I explained that the yellow discoloration came from the incident. I was at a loss for words with Panasonics customer service. I asked Is this how you back up your products? She told me that I should read the instructions and never walk away from the microwave. She then proceeded to say she has been with the company a very long time. I then explained I could care less. She stated Nothing could be done to buy a new microwave and read the instructions next time.Meanwhile every microwave I have had, has been Panasonic. My previous Panasonic microwave lasted over seven years. I will Never buy a Panasonic product again. After I had this horrible experience, I then reviewed Panasonics customer reviews. It appears to me based on other consumer reports that Panasonic does not back up their products and that they frequently state Go back to the manual. I believe this is Panasonics way of getting out of backing up their products.

I bought this microwave, because the last one I bought gave out with in less than a year. So I decided to take a chance with this brand. It has been a very good purchase. I have had it for about 5 years or longer.

Purchased this microwave 1 year ago after my SHARP microwave of 11 years quit working. This Panasonic unit is only exactly one year old... Apparently the units have cheap wiring and are only designed to last one year so you have to pay money to their online support or purchase a new one. With no warning it just quit working after having for 1 year. My household has only 2 adults over age 50 and the microwave is not overused at all.I attempted calling Panasonic their product and refuse to because it is 1 year old and will charge me for advise on the phone or send me to a service center who will charge me. We ended up opening the unit to look for fuse issue. It turned out having melted wires which obviously blew the fuse. All of the information that I now read online about this Microwave model catching on fire and other internal electrical issues are apparently true due to the cheap wiring in the units. The units with the inverter seem to be the ones with faulty cheap wiring that makes the machine go bad after a year. We are lucky the fuse blew in the unit, as the unit turns out it would have been a fire hazard.Panasonic unlike Sharp will not offer any assistance at all in repairing the unit unless you pay upfront. They will say to you over and over that your unit is out of warranty (even though by only a few days). This Panasonic cost twice the price of the SHARP until that I had for over 12 years. Panasonic loves to fill the landfills with faulty microwaves or find a way to get additional money out of you minutes after the warranty expires. In my opinion the worst manufacturer of consumer electronics. I will never purchase another Panasonic brand product again. I will never recommend the Panasonic brand to anyone. I will warn people against purchasing any electronic products from Panasonic.

Panasonic Model NN-H965 WFX - I purchased the microwave from Best Buy end of March 2014. It suddenly stopped working first week in August 2014. Will not run. Display on front says Close Door even though the door is closed. Unfortunately did not buy Best Buy extended warranty as they would have replaced the unit. Now have to contact Panasonic. Did not last even a year! Made in China it says on the unit. The quality and longevity of the unit proved that statement to be true!

I had my first Panasonic combination microwave for over 12 years and only replaced it as concerned about its age. Turned new virtually identical microwave on full power to cook McCans frozen potato for 4 minutes as a 1000 watt unit. After 3 minutes the door was in flames. As an OCD cleaner I was annoyed when John Lewis staff called me to collect the repaired Item that the reason this had happened was because there must have been food debris on the door that a leaflet informing me how to clean it in future was supplied.I called Panasonic as the unit was in new condition as far as clean was concerned getting nowhere as my only concern is to ensure the machine is now safe for use. I called Panasonic. The agent that answered first of all did not understand what 1000 watt meant and informed me that You have to completely defrost all products before putting them into the microwave. I asked as I had followed the potatoes instructions, How mad was this? She didnt even understand the meaning of buying frozen food and using a microwave to cook them, refused to let me speak to someone else and left me totally confused.

Panasonic NN-SF550W: I was heating some vegetables while I was in another room. I smelt an acrid, burning chemical smell and saw clouds of smoke pouring out of my kitchen. I had to go through the smoke which irritated my eyes to turn the microwave off. I then had to take it outside. The smoke was coming out from behind the keypad and lower portion of the microwave on the same side was too hot to touch. I immediately emailed Panasonic to report the fault and asked for safety data information in regard to the smoke as the smell, its effect on me and the inability to remove the smell suggested it may be hazardous. I received a phone call from Panasonic in regard to the email. They asked what I was heating, what container I was using etc apparently overlooking the details of my email. The customer service officer then asked me to return it to a Panasonic customer service centre. I responded that they could send a courier to which they declined. I received an email from them the same day requesting purchasing information and for me to return the appliance to them. I noted that if they assessed it and determined it wasnt a fault I would have to pay for the assessment. No apology for their product smoking out my kitchen, no safety data sheets, no concern for my health or exposure to whatever the smoke was that their product produced. I will not be purchasing another Panasonic product and will have it assessed by an INDEPENDENT professional before approaching Panasonic again.

I CANT BELIEVE I HAVE THIS MICROWAVE! My family has bought this in April 2016 after our old Emerson Microwave broke down. This was bought immediately not knowing this: This Microwaves cuts off the internet!!! Havent tried anything to get this Microwave to stop cutting off the Wi-Fi yet. IT HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE APRIL!!! I didnt realize at first that the internet was cutting me off for no reason, but now it is because of Microwave usage! For example, if its used for 5 minutes, the internet is down for 5 minutes due to Microwave usage! Also, this product might break down soon in months or even next year. A lot of peoples Panasonic Microwave has this same problem. If it breaks down, I will update this complaint! If this breaks down, I hope to god I buy a microwave that does not cut off the internet. Not this! AVOID THIS MICROWAVE AT ALL COSTS! Buy one that does not cut off internet! Do not buy this wi-fi less microwave!

My Panasonic microwave finally bit the dust. I dont blame the brand though as it was 15 years old. I plan to buy another panasonic since I have a trim kit that it must fit. I believe the sizing is still about the same on those microwaves.

We had moved two months ago and purchased a new Panasonic microwave. It worked fine and we liked it. But one morning it just didnt work anymore after 2 months. We called the company and without the receipt they wouldnt even talk to us. Very unhappy with quality of merchandise! Would never buy Panasonic anything again. I live at 960m in NSW, so it's cold in winter but it also gets hot in summer. This unit is excellent for cooling the whole house (mine is not large) at night in summer; it's perfect for in between seasons and with it's timer, great for setting warming and cooling times ahead of when you need them. Like all heating, in the dead of winter when temps get 0˚, it's functions best with a reverse cycle ceiling fan to distribute the heat. The unit is relatively quiet but it is necessary to increase the TV volume when the fan is on more than low. The unit is compact and was installed easily. The last unit I owned was different brand and worked okay but wasn't worth fixing. Technology has improved these products over the years. Would be expensive to run in cold climates if you are home a lot.

I bought a Panasonic Microwave March 21, 2017. The product was manufactured in August of 2016. Model # NN-T945SFX. The microwave worked fine until two days ago I closed the door and the plastic latch key broke. I tried to contact Panasonic and had no luck at all. Finally I have ordered the latch key and only hope I can fix it myself. Flimsy plastic is the cheap way to make something of importance... another ten cents in production and this could probably have been avoided. There isnt another Panasonic product in my future.

I have had this microwave for 15 years and it still works great! It has various cooking options that I use regularly. I especially like the popcorn option. It never burns my popcorn. The defrost works great as well.

I really like this Panasonic microwave as it replace my last one which was age. It has not missed a beat for the uses that this family of seven needed. We mostly use it to reheat leftovers, tv dinners and of course popcorn. We are not skilled enough to attempt meals.

First, I want to respond to posters regarding Wi-Fi. Any microwave will interfere with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi if the location of the Wi-Fi router and the microwave and your computer are in bad locations. Try relocating your router or computer or Microwave so it wont interfere. This is common knowledge. But the real problem with the Panasonic microwaves is like Earle of Huntsville, AL said. After about 6 months to a year, the flimsy metal bracket starts flexing when the door is closed, causing the door latches to not latch correctly, resulting in the micro switches to not make up correctly. Youll notice this when you have to start slamming the door hard to make it work.Unfortunately we had misplaced the receipt; otherwise, we would have returned to store. So somewhat similar to Earle of Huntsville, AL... I made a little wooden brace for mine which cured the problem. But its a cheap design for a microwave door latch switch and its almost like they designed it for failure. Youd think that it would be non-productive to build junk that will just be returned. How could they possibly be making any money on this?

Panasonic microwave sa651se purchased from Costco on 3/2/15. It lasted 2 days before not powering up. Check of reviews showed that this is a huge problem with these units. Will return and buy something else.

I received this microwave as a gift from my son. I changed my whole way of looking at microwaves. I love it because it works the way it should and its simple to operate. Also, it does all you want it to and more and its large capacity and a way to thaw or cook without heating zones. Love the turntable, love the turbo thawing and heating. Just love it because it is new. Its a fat cat, this is where its a machine.

I bought this microwave NN-SA661S at Walmart in Leominster MA. while visiting my family in 2015. I only heat food in it. After about 1 year it started to get somewhat rusty inside and it has progressed to very rusty. I have never had a microwave that turned rusty before… It heats fine when I use it but it looks like it belongs in the landfill… I am concerned with the rusting. What has happened to my microwave? I dont think I will buy a Panasonic again... Not a good product for the long haul! Of course I no longer have my receipt which is a shame. The bag of popcorn was fine and unpopped but now the right side of my microwave is burnt up. Still under 1 year warranty. Used to be microwaves lasted over 10 years, as others have mentioned. We bought a Panasonic NN-H624BF in January 2007. It stopped working in November 2009, with interior sparking preceding. I purchased a Panasonic NN-SN667B in November 2009 - it stopped working in April 2012 (subsequently I bought a fuse, which repaired it, and I have it for back-up.). In the meantime, we purchased another, larger Panasonic microwave in April 2012 (I dont have the model number anymore, as we put it in the dump) - the door became a huge problem by early 2015. I found online repair methods and fixed it, which lasted about a month before it again became necessary to slam it repeatedly in order to get it to close. Finally it would not close at all, so I gave up on it, but I could not find another microwave brand with the inverter technology, so I tried again with a Panasonic NN-SN686S purchased in 10/16. I thought if I went with a smaller one, it would not have the same door problem. And I thought, with all the complaints about the door mechanisms, the new ones would have the problem tackled. Not so - its just a different problem, as this door will shut but now after only 6 months, the mechanism to open the microwave has become very hard to push, and it is only a matter of time before it becomes inoperable. I will resurrect the 2009 model with the repaired fuse when it becomes necessary. When that goes, I will have to do without the inverter technology, as I give up on Panasonic forever.

Stainless steal Panasonic Inverter Model NN-SN778 - Bought this about a year ago for around $200. Now the door latch has quit working properly, therefore causing the light to stay on and the function not to work at all. I called the Panasonic about this issue @1-800-211-7262. They said they could direct me to a repair dealer where I would have to pay to fix it. Or I could just buy a new one. I said this is posted all over the internet. This is a manufacturing defect. They said this is the first they have heard of it. Yeah right! Way to stand by your product and brand name. I will be purchasing a new microwave and I guarantee you it wont be Panasonic. In fact I will never buy ANYTHING made by Panasonic again.

I bought this microwave about 4 years ago at a Walmart. I remember declining the extended warranty on it at time of purchase. Anyway just started having the same door latch problem everyone else had. When you shut the door the light stays on, you slam the door and it goes off, but when you put the cook time in and press start, nothing happens. Slam the door again and it works. I was just going to put it on the curb for garbage pickup, however, I decided to take it apart and see what the problem was. After removing the impossible screws on the case, I discovered that the latch mechanism, which is mounted to a very weak piece of metal, was bent over which caused all the problems. I bent it back and put a piece of metal wire from the bottom screw to a machined hole that is above the latch mechanism to give it additional support. It works so far. Seems like the issue is a poor design flaw with the mount like the previous posts have written. Not mad, just glad I didnt throw it away.

Microwave 1250 Mod #NN-SN7785 - I bought this less than a year ago and just 2 weeks ago I went to use it and it started to make a crackling noise then smoke. I immediately unplugged it and carried it outside. I called Panasonic and was told that I need to take it to a repair shop but I said this is a microwave not a TV and I dont want some TV repairman working on it and then bring it home and have it catch fire in the middle of the night, or leak radiation to which she replied that is your choice. So I took it to the curb and will never purchase another Panasonic product.

Very small. This model fits in a space in the wall. It tips and falls out when you open the door. There are no numbers on the pad, like every other microwave we have ever seen, so you cant easily set a power setting or run time. Minimal.

Ive had Panasonic microwaves in houses that I rented, as well as the house I own. These microwaves are workhorses, and they never seem to fail. Besides being attractive, they are a way to prepare family dinners quickly. Mine is 1,000 watts plus. The clock on the front, helps me to adjust all of my kitchen clocks, as well as the clocks in other rooms. The microwave feature are also great, but does a vegetarian need a probe to cook. Veggies are done in minutes, and I never cook meat. Popcorn cooks fast too, but I never buy the mystery stuff in microwaveable bags.

I like its size and it fits where I need it. Its really a nice microwave and seems to cook well although I dont cook main meals in microwave. Usually just warm ups or quick frozen meals. Last microwave I had started when you hit the 30 sec button but this one you have to hit 30 then start. Would like more timer options, just a minor thing that I wish was different.

My Panasonic microwave is a good looking appliance and works effectively, although it uses a lot of power and I live off solar. The only real complaint I have is the keypad is not as touch sensitive or as easy to use as I would like. You really have to push hard and dead center to select your functions.

Brand new Panasonic microwave NN-ST66KW and the keypad works most of the time. But when it decides not to work doesnt matter how hard you push, where you push or what finger you use it just will not accept an entry. Then it will start working again by some sort of magic. Even more frustrating is trying to contact Panasonic to find out if there is a solution. No phone numbers listed anywhere and sending message on their website results in a computer generated email response listing many things you could do but having no connection to your problem at all. And this new unit was a replacement for one that suddenly went up in smoke 2 months after the one year warranty expired on the last one. I will not be buying Panasonic again.

Panasonic has worked for me perfectly over 15 yrs. It cooks everything easily, fast. It is reliable, no repairs. Even heat, sturdy, easy to clean, good size for any place. Looks fine. Lightweight, easy to clean. If I ever replace it, I will get another Panasonic. I wondered if people actually do think about microwave names. Panasonic is the winner for me through actual use. I just hope I can find that brand whenever I might need another.

Just replaced a well used Panasonic microwave that was 10 years old. New Panasonic has a few more features we really like. Baking potatoes has become easier than ever thought. Hopeful it lasts as long as the one it just replaced.

This microwave is not performing well. When we heat food macaroni for example it heats partial, only some of the food in the plate. Its cold with the same temperature when we took it out of the refrigerator and the other side of the same plate is hot and smoking. When we do popcorn same results. We contacted customer service and we were not satisfied with the lack of knowledge Panasonic person provided over the phone. We hate to return it back but we will wait for a better deal of another brand and will ditch this junk Panasonic microwave.

I have a microwave that is like brand new. I cannot use because the door and switch were defective and unfortunately I did not keep the receipt and Panasonic will not sell me the door so I can fix it...I will NEVER EVER BUY A PANASONIC PRODUCT EVER AGAIN and will urge others to stay away from Panasonic products because their customer service is a JOKE.

The latch mechanism gets loose so often that it no longer works, period. I tightened the screws as the YouTube video shows and made sure not to strip the plastic where the metal screw goes. My daughter spent $159 at Walmart for it as a Christmas gift which I greatly appreciated. But I feel this is a substandard microwave. The part that receives the screw should be metal. Im replacing it but not with a Panasonic product. Dont throw your money away on anything with plastic latches. You wont find anything worthwhile at Walmart as far as microwaves go.

I was cleaning the microwave and a panel inside, which I thought was metal, where my finger went right through like it was a piece of paper. Now, I dont know if the microwave is safe to use. I could have gotten shock or worse.

In Jan 2013, we purchased the NN-H965BF microwave from Best Buy to replace the previous Panasonic microwave that had lasted over 16 years. The longevity and similar controls operation was the logic behind our purchase. We try to stick with what works. HOWEVER -- the hard closing door was immediately obvious. We went back to the store and felt the door on a display unit and it was the same way so we just figured that was how it was designed and as long as it seemed to function OK just leave well enough alone. Fooled us -- Did not last 1-1/2 years before it really started acting up and having to slam the door to get it to run, then not at all -- Call to Best Buy and Panasonic only got the unconcerned response -- its out of warranty and you must take it to an Authorized service center. If they are not paying for the repairs then I get to take it to whomever I want -- Tear down revealed upper door hook cracked (but still looked OK) with interlock switch pressure causing the hook to move up away from the switch lever and failing to activate the switch - second issue was the massive pressure required to close the door was bending the switch mounting bracket letting the assembly get out of alignment -- Panasonic engineering dept should get fired over this one seeing as it appears to be a systemic problem with their newer units. Parts were less than $20 but as this was an obvious conspiracy to increase profit margins instead of Quality, this will be my last Panasonic.

I purchased my 50 inch Panasonic TV from Circuit TV who has gone out so long ago I forgot when I bought it, The picture is as good as it was when I bought it. I would like to buy New smart TV but I can not. The picture is as good as the Vizio smart TV I bought last year. Hopefully it keeps working and looking as good as it is today. Panasonic in my opinion is a or was a great TV. Knock wood after writing this Nothing happens to my TV. By the way I paid $ 2500.00. Today I can buy a similar TV for Around 500.00 to $ 800.00 and get a nice TV but I doubt it would as long as my Panasonic. My family has gotten some great entertainment from this TV. I only wish they still made this brand of TV.

Doesnt hold the time you set. Doesnt heat up a cup of coffee. Very weak power. My old Panasonic microwave was easy to use. This one is junk. Very hard to read the screen. I dont understand selling junk.

Ordered my Panasonic microwave (NN-SN651W) the 24th of May, 2017. Was not home to use it for over two weeks. It started overheating in less than 2 months. It has plenty of space around it, so that is not the problem. Overstock will give me a credit. Will not order another Panasonic.

NN-SN778 - First hint, crashed our WIFI router whenever it was activated, not a good sign. At 6 months funny smell (burned paint as it turned out). After looking, door was starting to arc and burn around the edges in three places, mostly the lower edge. Took it out of service and called Panasonic. Both recommended service groups declined to work on it even though it was still under warranty. Could not find another repair person close enough to justify travel cost. The higher power 1250W obviously has multiple problem as described here in this blog. As a science person, I really like the much lower weight of the inverter system, very impressive. Now, if they could get the bugs out of the system without losing more customers, that would be very, very impressive.Our last microwave was a Kenmore, almost 30 years old, and still works (except for occasionally programming itself! I could build a replacement controller but dont have the time.) The Panasonic has numerous advantages, the higher power was great for casseroles where long thaw times were needed, cut that down to minutes. Im guessing the main problem is harmonics and operating frequency. The space between door parts was quite small and yet the gap arced despite what looked like correct grounding and spacing, etc.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been any reviews on this unit I've been a bit slack to review this as I had the tkr but unfortunately it was to small for the house and at the start of winter it just wouldn't heat the house on those minus Celsius cold mornings. So the awesome team at Panasonic came to help and replace it with the latest VKR model the Z60VKR 7.2kw heating 6kw cooling to be precise and let's say just amazing everyone that comes into the house now says it's really warm inside. The surprise is when I'm so comfortable inside I get a surprise when I see what the temp is outside as I'm writing this it's -3c outside. I've also noticed the house is a lot drier. Defrost times are quick and startup times are fast this unit has some grunt. The Panasonic app for the wifi controller works better as I have a couple more features plus it lets me know indoor temp as well. No more weather waffle from me. Thank you Panasonic NZ

NN ST6815 Model Wont Turn off. After about a year our microwave door wouldnt shut properly and wouldnt start without shutting the door hard. Then about a year later the microwave wouldnt turn off. Ever. We took to an authorized repair shop and our $350 built-in microwave is cannot be repaired and is now in the landfill. After reading these reviews it seems there is an issue with the door and the start mechanism. I will never buy a Panasonic microwave or anything else by Panasonic again.

I brought NNST762S. It was fine for a year. It started burning the microwavable bowls and food. This is really a safety hazard and I think these microwaves should be recalled/banned. Till now it has burned/busted/melted many microwaveable bowls including a very very thick/hard kids microwavable bowl. Also, every other day it is burning the food. I have ordered a new microwave and I will throw this crap after I get my new one. I will never buy a Panasonic microwave again.

Our Panasonic microwave is a great powerful microwave thats big enough to fit my stoneware deep cover baker from Pampered chef. Thats a win for this family. I do keep a sharp eye on it when making popcorn, it does not take the normal recommended time for popcorn!

I got this microwave to replace a larger one which was having issues after 15 yrs. After 2 mo this new one started squeaking and sometimes the plate wouldn’t turn. From the very beginning, there was an issue with the door opening button. I’ve had about 4 microwaves and this one is garbage.

My Panasonic microwave starts on its own when you open the door. Zap! Panasonic says dont worry about it. Their suggestion: its not worth fixing. Buy a new one. Guess I will, but not one of theirs. Right?

5 months after purchasing Panasonic 2.2 inverter microwave from Walmart, it has died. Nothing wrong with our power or receptacle. No lights on unit, nothing. Heated up a cup of water for 40 seconds and it quit. Avoid buying this kind of microwave!

This air conditioner is fantastic. I live in a very cold climate where it regularly gets into minus temperatures and it works really well. It warms up or cools down in a very short space of time.

Small size makes it perfect for condo living. Powerful enough to cover all needs for most people. Easy to clean. Design is sleek. Quiet when operating, makes it good for small places. Price was excellent. While I am not a big user of microwaves, it is one that has fulfilled all my needs.

Only 2 years old and the door hinge broke. I read the reviews about it having cheap metal part that hold the hinges on, and the reviewer suggested how to fix it. Do not buy a Panasonic microwave. I agree.

Panasonic TX43 GS352B. Bought in UK with 6 years warranty. Very good picture and sound on 43 inch led tv. We have had recent Windows 10 update which affected broadband router but once sorted out the smart tv works very well. Not fault of Panasonic which some owners seem to be confused with. The tv is ok, it is the configuration with existing router which causes any problems. At £279 it is an extremely good buy. The travel programs are exceptional with the wide panoramic screen. The colours are sharp and natural and the Dolby sound suits are needs. This is my 3rd Panasonic tv over past 18 years and they get better as technology improves each time.

Turbo inverter spewed out thick smoke after a few seconds of baking my apple fruit concoction for breakfast. My husband turned it off. A quick internet search turned up videos of the same fire - with flames. (Youtube Panasonic inverter microwave fire). Customer relations seemed interested and sympathetic until the annoying Sylvia called, Its not a fire but a concentration of energy - I told her so was the atomic bomb. This concentration of energy filled my kitchen and dining room with smoke in a few seconds. Had I been putting on my laundry Id have been trapped in the basement. She insisted there could be no flames, Youtube shows otherwise. (if you CHOOSE to believe Youtube). Late call tag was sent to the wrong address (right!) Wrote to the CEO of NA in Newark, and the annoying Sylvia called with the same spiel. The have a dangerous product and are not interested.

The problem is that the magnetron and the inverter are notoriously prone to early failure, more so in Panasonics, as internet and shopping site reviews everywhere illustrate. H98 error code less than 2 years old. Two weeks attempt to speak or contact anyone from Panasonic. 800 number menus with automated responses or 20-minute wait times. CHAT. wasn’t working. Called nearest authorized repair center 130 miles. “Can’t help you”. Was told to call 800 number in Romania who will get in touch with Texas who will get in touch with Salem Supply Depot, only repair center who will contact you. Tried CHAT again. Offshore “Steve” read from scripts, wasn’t very articulate and simply offered platitudes and apologies. Kept going around in circles. Asked for contact with someone in the States. His response: “Is there anything else I can help you with.” Wrote back, “Yes, you can answer the questions I just posed.” I ended telling “Steve,” It’s been the most fruitless conversation I can ever recall having. Shipping round-trip 260 miles is expensive for 41 lbs. I have a perfectly competent and reliable appliance repair center in my city. Panasonic wouldn’t entertain the idea of sending a magnetron so I could have it done locally. But it’s unconscionable that Panasonic execs refuse, even for the sake of good will, to accommodate customers with products that are designed for failure right after the service warranty expires. And Panasonic offers a 5-year magnetron warranty but it is impossible to use. Not only is shipping to a distant repair center expensive but the procedure is convoluted, contacts are unintelligent, and logistics are unreasonably burdensome. And Panasonic knows this. They can warranty the magnetron for 50 years. It wouldn’t matter to them. I purchased a Panasonic radio that I’ve had for over 55 years and it works perfectly.Panasonic was known as the most reliable name in electronic products. It’s shameful that the CEO’s of Panasonic’s appliance division have allowed quality and service to devolve into mediocrity. Any microwave should last longer than two years. Model NN-SU686S Panasonic microwave. Bought for $112.34. First use - put bag popcorn in for 1 minute and stayed at the unit to monitor knowing would have to add more time but wanted to learn how unit would handle a bag. Owned first Amanda microwave on the market and have had different models in my houses - read the guides everytime. Only this model smoked in less than 1 min. Backsides and top was too hot to touch. Contacted Panasonic spent $94.42 to ship back. They reimbursed. Shipping said nothing was wrong, I am out $112.34. Oh, and said they popped popcorn in it! Panasonic will not be in any of my properties. Bought at Best Buy 11/22/17. Order #. Have receipt and correspondence including return shipping info.

Gave trouble from the very start. Door was hard to close. Gradually got harder, had to almost slam it for microwave to work. Put up with it until after 5 yearsthe door latch finally broke. Was warrantied for 1 year. Didnt bother to have fixed, since it would cost more than it was worth. Was really disappointed in Panasonic since the first microwave I bought lasted 25 years. Will not buy another Panasonic ever. I got online and googled my microwave and found many others were having the very same problem I had.

We love the all features, power, appearance, size, turntable, keypad, color, everything. We are a very very happy with this microwave. Panasonic is awesome. I dont know what else can I say. It does everything we need very well. I use it mostly for defrosting frozen breakfast biscuits.

Panasonic inverter microwave model NNSA651S SA651S - Weve owned this microwave for a short time. We started noticing uneven cooking. Then today we started smelling a burning odor. The microwave was burning through a bacon plate (very thick material) made for microwaves and char-burned the bacon that almost burst into flames. This happened in less than a minute. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MICROWAVE.

Nice size microwave but have always had problems with the door closing without slamming it. It also now has an electrical sound that may indicate that it is not functioning properly. It has been difficult to get service questions answered or to find a replacement for this space in our kitchen.

Less than 2 years ago I purchased a Panasonic microwave (model # NN-SB646S) from Walmart for $110. Had I thought to research this I would have never bought it. Recently the microwave has done for me as it has for many others, and the voltage fluctuates. We immediately unplugged the microwave as it is a huge danger and do not want it to burn our home down. I contacted Panasonic was asked a lot of questions, sent pictures, called twice to simply be told, Oh well you owned it over a year so you can pay to have it fixed! Why would anyone in their right mind keep something that could kill them!!! I told the rep I would share my experience on every social media site available and thats when I was told, Well since you want to take it to social media we can send you a prepaid label. I said, And what will that get me! She said, We will see if its a service issue but you still have to pay us to fix it. I said, If I am going to pay to have this fixed I will simply research a company that makes quality merchandise, UNLIKE PANASONIC, and find one that cares about their customers as well. She said, Well its not fair to our customers that buy extended warranties if we help you. I said, Well its not fair to me if your product kills my family! I ended the call as she simply didnt care. I will not be buying anything Panasonic again, and I can assure you we are a VERY tech savvy home and have a lot of electronics. I will be sharing this with almost 900 friends on FB, Google, Yelp, Twitter and the Panasonic FB page. The microwave works ok but the revolving plate doesnt sit on the bottom easily. You have to wiggle it on until it finally drops down correctly. The door and area around the controls are hard to clean well.

We found that the button for the door sticks. It should last longer than three years before something like that happens. And, that we own two different Panasonic Microwaves. One ends and it shows Enjoy your meal after it is done. We enjoy seeing that as it reminds us that something is in the microwave. The other does not and just goes back to the time. We love the power settings for the Panasonic as it is a constant low if different power settings are used. Other microwaves do not do that and that is why we keep buying Panasonic Microwaves.

The Microwave does all the cooking etc. very well. BUT - dont try to use it as a 1. Kitchen Timer or 2. Use the timer if something is being heated/cooked in the microwave. We have had several Microwaves over the years and all have been able to do both these functions. The timer emits 4 beeps when the time is up; other microwaves, continue to beep until shut off. Guess you better stay in the kitchen to hear the beep. This 4 beep function has remained unchanged since the beginning of time. If you are cooking with the microwave, you better get a dedicated timer. The 2 functions are mutually exclusive. I called Panasonic on this. I was told that is the way it is! Clearly, Panasonic pays no attention to detail or consumer wishes.

Two independent tests showed door leaking radiation above federal standards. Panasonic customer service said no one but their factory could test and besides they NEVER found any leaks unless door damaged. Door confirmed undamaged by local appliance co. that services high end microwaves (not Panasonic). Even their local warranty service can not test, must be returned to factory and they already said no problem exists!! Do not buy and stay back two feet if using any of their microwaves.

I had it for years with no problems. I was buy this brand. Picture is amazing. It is a smart TV. I love it because I can get on my apps and do things I need to do on my big TV. I will always stay with this brand.

First inverter top of the class microwave... ended up burning (flame) in the door. Called Panasonic (was 3.5 yrs old). They charged me 113$ to upgrade and have a NNST671S shipped. I only use my microwave 6 months a year. 5 yrs later... starts making noise. Yesterday heated leftover. When opening the door to get the food out the microwave continued working. Closed the door. Fast unplugged and felt outside of microwave. Extremely HOT!!! I am a lot confused... They say it is top of the class and that their products are reliable. Now... no microwave... no news from Panasonic. This is ridiculous.

This microwave has been reliable and works well. We’ve had it 3 years now. We can fit a decent sized container inside. The prompts ask you for info so it can sense how long things should cook. Touchpad - easy to read.

My Panasonic Microwave, m/n NN-SN661S, caught on fire. I had to unplug it to make the microwave stop and to put out the flames. I contacted Panasonic and they offered me $30 in compensation but I had to agree to release them from any additional claims.

I received a Panasonic Microwave Model NN SN 968B as a gift for Christmas 2012. I sent in the warranty card on 1-4-13. Aug. 10, less than 8 months later, the door latch broke leaving the microwave inoperable. I called the 800 number and was told, Sorry, you have to pay for the repairs, because I didnt have the receipt. I explained, Its a gift, and I did send in their warranty card with all the info on it. I was told, Thats not good enough. Well I dont understand why then do we send those cards back if they wont honor them. I dont make a practice (and I really dont think anyone does) of asking for all my receipts for gifts I get. I have sent Panasonic an E-Mail to their Contact Us line and am waiting for an answer. I have read the reviews and it seems Panasonic has a door latch problem but doesnt want to address it. Any help would be appreciated. I have a perfectly good microwave that wont work because the door wont close. I feel I should not have to pay to get this fixed.

My mother passed away almost a year ago. In clearing her home, we kept her microwave. A Panasonic inverter model NN-S443WF. Fast forward to this morning at about 5 am... Something (God) woke me about 4:40 am and would not let me go back to sleep. So I got up. My hubby is naturally an early riser, so he, too was awake. I began mulling about the kitchen, about to start making breakfast for my hubby & 3 children (soon to be 4). I smelled this awful burning plastic smell... Started investigating. Saw an outlet that had burn/smoke marks on it, and felt the plug in it (my moms microwave). It was scalding! I quickly unplugged it, but watched to make sure. White smoke began coming from the plug holes.I yelled for my husband, who ran to the breaker box and started flipping switches until we found the right one. Even then, I stood watch over the outlet with the fire extinguisher. Thank goodness for quick thinking, and God not letting me sleep! I dont know if my hubby wouldve caught it in time, as he was conducting business on the computer. We actually lost our home 4 years ago to an electrical fire, after the house was hit by lightning in the middle of the night... We got ourselves, our then 4 yr old daughter, and not even 2 month old son out safely, but we lost everything. This really has me on edge today. Please, be careful with this model. I know its an older one, but it shouldnt cause a fire as the first symptom of something wrong with it!

I have a Panasonic inverter microwave, and swear by its great Features. So easy to clean, as it is all stainless steel. It is 4yrs old, and still looks like new. Never had any problems with it. I think that cleaning it regularly is the key to its longevity. I am in the UK, so we use 240 volts. I write this review as I am extremely pleased with my purchase, and highly recommend this product. I hope this is of some help to folk who may wish to purchase this product.

It is great. It heats up so fast, anything 1 or 2 minutes and food tastes great. I found this deal on a microwave and its very nicely made. It stands out and looks good on the counter.

I have used Panasonic microwaves for the past 30 years. They are reliable, affordable and offer many features I enjoy. Choices and auto cook features seem to be more intuitive to my way of thinking. Also, I enjoy the easy ways that Panasonic allows one to begin right away or change or add time in the middle of cooking. I particularly like convection cooking and combo cooking with microwave/convection. Very predictable results.

What Actew AGL could not find out and repair in one year and several useless service visits Panasales did in one visit to evaluate the fault and 24 hours later repairing a faulty motherboard on the air-conditioning. Panasales have been excellent and have to be recommended. Now my air-conditioning system works to perfection a fact one expects from Panasonic. Well done and highly recommended.

I have Panasonic microwave and use it from 5 years. It is great value for money, have different features/settings for different food types. It takes less time compare to LG brand same power microwave. Good quality touch screen. Size is good, standard size. Different finishing available, match with kitchen appliances.

We have always purchased Panasonic microwaves. Our last microwave is over 20 years old and still works well. The one before that was 15 years. We didnt upgrade the microwave when we went to stainless appliances. It is working so well. Why change it?

We purchased a Panasonic microwave 15 months ago. Approx 2 months ago, it started to smoke while we were using it. We unplugged and took it outside. We called the Panasonic customer service number and told them what had happened and they genuinely sounded concerned that nobody had been hurt and nothing caught on fire, etc. They said they take this kind of thing very seriously and would have someone get in touch with us within 24 - 48 hrs. Sounded good. Someone did call us and told us to take the microwave to a local service repair shop and it would be taken care of. When we called the repair shop, they informed us that they no longer serviced any Panasonic products. That should have been our first clue that this wasnt going to be easy. We called Panasonic again and they did give us the name of another service repair shop. We took it there & they told us it would be ready in 3 days, Nov 15, 2013 . We just picked it up today, Dec 26, 2013. We have never had such terrible customer service! The repair shop requested some sort of paperwork from Panasonic in order for them to do the work and each time we called Panasonic, we were told that everything would be taken care of ASAP, paperwork would be send immediately, phone calls would be returned to us and there was no follow thru. We did speak with supervisors and had the same poor service. Think twice before purchasing a Panasonic microwave. We see that many customers have had problems with the door latches - we are waiting for that problem to start in which case ours is going right in the trash. We are happy to finally have ours repaired but we dont want others to have this very frustrating experience.

When you Google microwaves lifespans it estimates 10 years on average. This one is 5. Works well but paint is peeling on the bottom. Had already been replaced once. Warrantied one year. No customer service. 100 dollar piece of crap NN3725.
