They installers did a great job. This experience was a prime example of being at the right place at the right time.

Was excited about getting a steam oven in April 2015. I like to bake bread. Disappointed that top temp is 450 degrees F. Still, it makes nice (not great) bread. But really upset that the light bulb blows out because its glass enclosure has a seal made of crumbly black stuff that lets the steam right in. When I tried to order replacement gaskets, I was told I had to order the entire glass cover, as well. Rip-off! In this century, gaskets like this should last for Years!

The large oven kept shutting off and the door doesnt shut. Resetting the breaker appeared to fix it, but didnt. Repairman came out and replaced the main board and relay board for $600. Now the large oven works, but the light does not go off in the large oven, and the fan runs continuously after using the small oven until you shut off the breaker. The repairman does not know why. He also informed me that Thermador no longer makes hinges for the large door, so I need to replace the entire door for $1200. Also charged $200 to replace the switch panel on the vent hood, which he was certain would fix the halogen lights. It didnt. Is anyone aware of a class action suit? Hundreds or thousands of complaints at $6-12K per range, it seems like there are millions of dollars to be recovered from Thermador.

Seven years ago we remodeled our kitchen. Sadly the only location we had for a refrigerator was a wide, but shallow space. Our appliance contractor recommended this Thermador refrigerator Model # KBUDT4875E01, which cost over $14K! Recently the evaporator coil began leaking. We called the Thermador service department who referred us to a local repair company (Alltex Parker) in the DFW area. The service man told us our refrigerator was old, although is has a 12 year warranty. The good news is the $300.00 for parts was covered by our warranty. The bad news is the service call costs us $1500.00 for 4 hours to replace the coil! The service man informed us he sees many issues with Thermador appliances and it is not uncommon for these refrigerator coils to leak. He said he would be surprised if our refrigerator lasted the length of our warranty. This experience has taught me to do more appliance research upfront and to rely on customer reviews!

My brand new $4000 Thermador double oven does not operate; I must flip my homes electrical breaker to turn it off; and I have waited 20 days to have it repaired or replaced. It is noon on December 23, 2016 and both the Thermador customer service line and the Bosch Home offices are closed. The product does not function; the repair person they sent was not helpful and wants me to wait until January 3, 2017 for a repair, and I cannot talk to anyone but an after hours messaging center about my non-functioning oven a day before Christmas. On December 3, 2016, my family tried to use its new Thermador double oven (Model ME302JS/04) and received an error code (118). We called to the customer service line for help and they failed to send a technician. We called again, but could not get a technician until December 23. When the technician came, he did not have the necessary parts - despite contacting the company weeks earlier and giving them the exact error code for the problem. The next available repair slot is January 3, 2017. The product does not fulfill the warranty of merchantability, fitness, or any general warranties; the customer service is ineffective; and the Bosch-employed repair organization is slow, unprepared, disorganized, and unhelpful. This company has no sense of urgency about a major household investment.

I have had a dual fuel range for nine years. I have put two panels, replaced the igniters two times, and I am lighting them with a lighter once again. Ive replaced the door lock for the clean cycle, the bottom element once, and now it is bad again. When is enough? I have to give up investing in this horrible appliance. Thermador does nothing to help.

Our 7 year old built in fridge stopped keeping its temperature. A Thermador vetted tech found 2 gas leaks that were not repairable but explained that Thermador should provide us with a credit towards a new one. Customer service was nonexistent, they refused to provide a contact person and various agents kept asking for the same documents for over a month and a half (which were provided on day 1 with a confirmation of receipt) and not addressing our file. When we got tired of sending the same documents repetitively and getting the run around, we got angry and pushed for an answer. They offered us an insulting discount on the new model of our fridge. I expect some repairs to appliances but dont expect a 15k with tax fridge to not be repairable after 7 years and to have such a poor customer service experience from a luxury appliance company. Horrible experience and I wont be buying any other thermador products.

We paid a little over $25K for Thermador appliances and have had this equipment for almost three years. Our experience has been very poor. Given the price point, the equipment is unbelievably terrible. i.e. Our GE Profile appliances in our prior house had ZERO issues in 5 years and the equipment was 4 years old when we moved it. Thermadors customer support is difficult to reach. Theyre techs act like their is not a larger issue at hand even after youve called them 5 - 7 times over the same issue.1. Double Oven (digital version): The double oven is either too hot or too cold (weve called Thermador 5 - 7 times and every time they come out their techs say Our ovens are within tolerance if they are 25 degrees over or under the set temperature! Literally, the $400 Magic Chef oven/stove top that I grew up with had a more accurate and consistent oven temperature than the Thermador.2. Stove top and Fridge: These havent been so bad. The stove top had some issues with flames not burning even, which was resolved with new hardware. The fridge hinge wore into the plastic which was super annoying.3. Dishwasher: Three years into use, this dishwasher stopped working. Weve spend $500 in repairs and the non-Thermador tech said that Thermador appliances are known to have maintenance issues. Dishwasher will not run. First the pump stopped working, but it turned out there was a wire loose. Now we need a new electronic panel--Im throwing this thing out and buying a Miele or Asko.4. Customer Service: No joke there are times that Ive waited for 30 - 50 minutes to reach customer support. Thermador techs tend to be arrogant and believe their equipment is the best (which wouldnt be a big deal if Thermadors appliances backed up it).I would not recommend Thermador--youd be better off buyings anything/something cheap from Lowes or Home Depot.

My 2-year-old $2,700 glass Thermador cooktop has begun to look like an old wall mirror. The black continues to spread and mar the meticulously maintained surface. It was not an easy decision to buy such an expensive appliance, but I had just remodeled my kitchen and love to cook; so, I splurged. Big mistake with Thermador. It was a process of over a month with continued correspondence. Finally, they agreed to replace the glass, but not to pay for the installation. How absurd! It was no fault of mine that they produced a defective cooktop. I already paid to have it installed when I purchased it! I guess I am keeping my fingers crossed that this one will not need to be replaced and installed again in another two years; furthermore, it took over a month to convince them to at least pay for the glass.I also purchased two Wolf ovens and a Liebherr refrigerator. I had problems with both of them as well, but unlike Thermador, their customer service departments were amazing. The warranties were out of coverage as well, but they stood behind their name and all was immediately replaced and installed at no charge! Stay away from Thermador!!!

Thermador -Unless you enjoying seeing F-34 codes on the panel, do not buy! Their products are suppose to be a higher end brand of appliances and the cost goes right along with that. I have a Thermador built in double wall oven. I cannot tell you how many control panels I have had replaced at $486 each plus labor! Tack on the relay and touch panel replacements, Ive clearly spent more on the repairs than the outrageously priced oven. I had an authorized Thermador service company here. After following the advice of THERMADOR tech. (who was on speaker phone,) they decided to replace the control panel. That was done but it did not fix the problem. So now trying a display panel BUT once an electronic part is opened it cannot be returned. So $486 down the drain. When panel was connected something happened with electric and everything went out. Now they say I need relay, control and display! NO THANK YOU!!I have never written a negative comment on any appliance before and probably would not have bothered with this, but the poor customer service was worse than the actual horrible oven. When I called customer service, I can tell that she was not interested in what I had to say. All service call copies were emailed to the email address given with a case number she gave me. I followed up 3 days later and of course they said customer service gave me the wrong email address. Back to square 1. No working oven, in the middle of a pandemic with a family of 6 and only a cooktop and microwave. Thank goodness my cooktop is a Viking. Never had a service call on it. I am purchasing a new wall oven. I would love to drop this off at Thermadors doorstep. Purchasing a new oven. Needless to say it will not be a Thermador.

Thermador does not stand behind its products or its service. I had a repair done and a faulty piece of equipment was installed. I know this because THE THERMADOR TECHNICIAN TOLD ME SO when he came out to replace my igniter a year and a half after I had mine replaced. He also told me to apply for a refund, because faulty equipment should not be subject to the one-year limit on the warranty. Thermador refused to stand by this, the technician changed his story, and I will never do business with them again. They are dishonest and horrible to deal with.

Based on our experience, changing the one-year warranty to five years would be the only way we would recommend Thermador. You will read in my post what was under the one-year warranty, which is not sufficient. We purchased a refrigerator, stove and vent hood, dishwasher, under the counter double drawer refrigerator, and double drawer refrigerator top/freezer bottom, all purchased between 2017 - 2019. The vent hood motor, installed in 2017, has been replaced twice—one under warranty and one we just bought last week (11/2020) for $400++. The refrigerator replacement parts are drawer rollers, freezer drawer latch (not warrantied), and icemaker sensor was replaced under warranty. The double drawer refrigerator/freezer ice maker was not working when delivered in September of 2019, replaced under warranty. Currently, the dishwasher has a high pitch sound when you start it and only runs on the auto setting. All other wash settings do not run. Due to COVID, income loss, and out of warranty, we havent addressed this issue. Vent hood labels have all worn off, and if liquid splatters on the stovetop while cooking, mostly burn on the surface. Yes, a removable cover would be great, as mentioned in another post. How about one for the oven? Remember, all issues happen between 2017 and 2020; three years!

I purchased a $1,700 Thermador Dishwasher and it has stopped working after 1 1/2 years. Labor rates quoted for repair is $99 for twenty minutes and $12.00 for each additional 12 minutes, basically $179 per hour. Also, I purchased a Thermador $6K range and have had to have service on it twice in 1 1/2 years. Thank goodness we purchased a five-year warranty. Never will I purchase another Thermador product.

Weve owned our oven for over 10 years. Ive loved using this Thermador oven. Two years ago, the oven would beep continuously after its turned off. The only way to sop it was to literally pull the electric switch to the oven on the outside of the house. Weve had many repairs... new control panel, oven hinges, new seals, more tech repair visits, you name it. Nothing has stopped this beeping. Evidentially, the oven heats up and hit the panel sensors somehow and the beeping begins! Im frustrated and disappointed in Thermador. Customer service acts as though Im the only person this is happening to. Shame on them! As much as I loved this ovens capabilities, I have to say that Ill never purchase a Thermador again!

We recently purchased a Thermador oven and paid over $10k for it. It has been cooking very unevenly - undercooked on one side, burnt on the other. The burners also function unevenly. The process of getting it serviced has been a nightmare. Thermador, through Bosch, has been unresponsive, inflexible, and unwilling to resolve quickly. Weve had three service calls and the oven has gotten worse. Charles ** is our rep at Bosch and had been ineffective, and Ferguson appliances in Dallas was the showroom and has been unresponsive. Terrible, I would never recommend this to anyone.

I purchased $8000 Thermador oven that is worthless. The broiler function has never worked, and it does not heat evenly. The top igniter unit does not work. I have spent over $1500 in repairmen claiming they fixed the problem when in reality they never fixed anything. With a gas oven, how does one know if it is truly fixed? Do not buy Thermador. The company, the appliance center where we purchased the oven, and the repairmen were all of no help. Now we are stuck with this expensive oven that we cant even use. All items come out burnt on the bottom and completely raw on top.

Thermador Commercial Grade Stove with 6 Burner Gas Range - We have had nothing but problems with this unit since we bought it many years ago. I originally spent around $8,000 for the unit with the overhead hood and fan. Since then I have invested a minimum of another $6,000 in what appears to be bi-annual service calls. The main issues are: 1. Thermador does NOT support their units. They push you to factory authorized service shops. Okay not a big deal - makes sense. 2. My local service rep knows less about the unit than I do (sad statement). The typical response is something on the order of I think its the ???? part. I have to order one - cant guarantee it will fix the problem until I install it. That will be $150 plus $400 for the parts - see you when the part comes in. 3. I have to go to the dealer in the next region and pay him extra travel time to get decent service. Typically he is so busy servicing other Thermador units that he cant get to me for 3-4 weeks. 4. I have replaced the same gas burner control 5 times - thats a $1,000 in parts only. They have now discontinued the part (dont know why, they were making a killing selling them). So the next time it fails I cant use the stove. 5. My most recent event deals with gas leaks at the burners. Im told they no longer make replacements. They dont even know if it can be upgraded. The service shop wont check to see if it is something simple like a valve stem nut or tightening or packing issue. They told me to call Thermador to see what can be done. Nice receptionist at Thermador but no information - cant get to the engineering department to ask intelligent questions.6. Its a shame because the electric oven has worked flawlessly.I think a class action lawsuit is a great idea.

Built a new home 5 years ago and paid the price to install Thermador major appliances. The oven failed twice during warranty and was out of service about 10% of the first year of operation. Most recently the main circuit board in the refrigerator failed. The fridge is 5 years old and Thermador doesnt make or keep any spare parts. My options are to try to find someone who can rebuild the board or buy a new refrigerator. We are trying to get the board repaired by a free lance computer jock. Well see how that goes. We purchased our unit Thermador Pro Grand 48in stove around 2009. Have had nothing but problems with the unit. The biggest being the big oven is undependable. I complained constantly that my food was not cooking properly and everyone thought I was nuts. When I start the oven, I can hear the gas come on, then it shuts off again immediately. Today, July 21st, 2014, after replacing parts in Feb. 2014, I have to call someone again because it is broken again. We average 2 service calls a year with parts and labor. This unit also has a design flaw. The electronics sit under one of the burners and if you have a boil over you are in trouble. I am so hugely disappointed in this product and would not recommend Thermador to anyone.

We purchased a Thermador Pro Harmony 36 range in 2010 and have been disappointed with it ever since. It was purchased as part of a kitchen remodel package and all 3 Thermador appliances purchased have been replaced over the 7 years we had them, except our oven which only performs sporadically. The griddle stopped working after a year, the circuit board has been replaced, the burner ignitors have been replaced, the broiler function no longer works and the oven door hinges no longer work to keep the door shut. We literally have to push a stool up against the door when we use the oven to keep the door closed. Thermador says they no longer make hinges since the oven is discontinued. And, they couldnt even provide me the name of a parts company to order new hinges. Apparently the hinges are no longer available, anywhere! They are worthless! DO NOT BUY THERMADOR!

We purchased the Thermador refrigerator (Model T42BD820NS) in June 2014, yes, 2 months ago, and we are already experiencing problems. The ice maker completely broke and we had to wait a WEEK to get a service rep out to tell us they have to order a part and will come back in another week to fix it. So, not only does the product suck, because it broke after 2 months. (this is a $10K model by the way, would expect better performance) But, the service package is AWFUL too. We have always had GE Appliances in our past houses and have NEVER had a problem. This is completely unacceptable. Buyers beware of this very expensive piece of crap. I purchased a 30 Stainless Steel Thermador Range Hood HSB30BS in June of 20
I purchased a 30 Stainless Steel Thermador Range Hood HSB30BS in June of 2008. Within a year and a half and six months out of warranty, the buttons that control the fan and the light began to come off. They are push buttons and are configured in such a way that when you press one to change the fan speed, another will be pushed out and deactivated - similar to an old style car radio with mechanical buttons. The problem is that the sub-assembly that receives the metal buttons is a square plastic peg and the button itself on the inside is round. The proverbial square peg in a round hole. The plastic gets worn and the buttons shoot off when they are pushed. I asked for the repairman to leave the sub-assembly with me after the repair ($350.00) to see exactly what went wrong. The hood cost me $700.00 new. So now that it is broken again, it does not make sense making the same repair again with a poorly designed part. I contacted Thermador the first time it broke and the best they could offer me was 10% off of the cost of the replacement part. I was busy at the time and was not able to write a proper letter to someone at Thermador, but I have to wonder if the results would have been much different. I have a Thermador stove as well that had a cooling fan motor ($300.00) repair just a little over a year and half after purchase. This one was out of warranty too. The stove cost $3,700.00. So I am, for obvious reasons, not a great fan of Thermador. I had two other repair calls on the stove to deal with a faulty ignitor, but they were thankfully covered by the initial warranty. I have never been a complainer, but it is hard for me to believe that I have just had bad luck with this companys products. I am a contractor by trade and like some of BSHs products. Bosch makes good tools and others that are not so good. At a certain price point though, my expectations go way up. Thermador looks nice and thats about the only nice thing I can say.

Thermador PRL366EG Pro Range - This was supposed to be my dream range. Saved forever to buy it. Replaced a GE stove, which we donated to the fire department, with this piece of junk! The FD is still using the GE and Ive had two burners repaired and Im on my 4th oven repair in 6 years. Same problem on the oven; cant seem to get it fixed. The oven heats up but doesnt maintain temperature. Bake a pie at 450 for 15 minutes then reduce the temperature to 350 to finish the baking and the oven turns itself off, though the indicator light says heating. The technician cant seem to replicate the problem. If I turn the oven off, wait five minutes and then turn it back on the oven will come back up to the correct temp. One suggestion made by the service dept was to just turn the oven off and wait and then turn it back on every time I needed to reduce the temp in a recipe. Really? I tried to stay calm and explain why that was not possible and why I should not have to do that with a range that cost me $6000!!! So parts have been ordered (again) but there is no guarantee that this will be the fix. And a phone call to Thermador did no good, either. Keeping my fingers crossed that these parts are the cure since my technician is working diligently to resolve this for me.Would never, ever buy nor recommend a Thermador again. It would be great if when someone does find a fix to a noted problem, they could post the solution. Might help others.

The refrigerator lost the freezer part at 5 yrs. I paid the service company they sent out to replace compressor, lines. Took 3 weeks to fix. 3 months later it goes again. 1 week out for a service. He comes today and says theres a contaminate? Or blocked line? I said, Well lets evacuate and recharge it?? He did and the door wouldnt close. I mentioned it and was told oh when the freezer reaches temp the door will suction close?? Ok the door doesnt close and the light is on. I called service again. No clue if its going to reach temp because the door doesnt close. Ive lost all the food in the freezer twice now. And waiting a week for a tech is absurd. We purchased a Thermador triple oven combination (model #semw302) in 2007 when we built our home. Over the past 9 years weve had to have multiple repairs on the main oven. The door hinges have been replaced twice, the circuit board replaced once, the self cleaning function stopped working twice. Actually only worked for one self cleaning. Each time. Now we once again have to replace both the circuit board and the relay board on the oven. Great. After paying a service man $80 yesterday, we were told that Thermador has discontinued the circuit board that we need and it also needs to have the relay board replaced. Which I believe is somewhere around $225.It was suggested we try to find someone to rebuild our circuit board. Even after spending some considerable time searching the internet, I havent found anyone who can rebuild this particular circuit board. and this would probably cost over $200. Plus installation. I already have spent close to $1000 on repairs. The microwave and the warming drawer are both fine. Now it looks like we will have to throw out the whole triple combination unit since its one piece. We will NOT be looking to replace it with another Thermador. This may be the worst purchase weve ever made in 50 years of marriage. JUNK!

My husband and I built our dream retirement home and used Thermador for all our kitchen appliances to the tune of $20,000.00. First time opening refrigerator doors the header trim piece fell off and struck my husband in the head. Technician came back and slammed piece in with his fist, but still works its way loose over the course of a month, at which time my husband has to smack it back into place (very poor design). We are currently on our second stove. First one had back burners that looked as if we were cooking on campfires. Technicians came back three times to try and correct flames with no luck. Thermador requested analysis of our gas provider, who is very reputable and service many of our neighbors without any issues. After approximately a year of going back and forth, Thermador finally swapped out our stove and gave us a new one. However, just recently we tried to use the self-cleaning feature on our second stove and to our dismay it does not work. For this price point you would not expect such poor performance. We have already steered two couples who are our friends away from going with Thermador (one went with GE Monogram and the other with Wolf) and they are very happy. We would not recommend Thermador and would highly suggest that anyone in the market for a new appliance look elsewhere.

I purchased 3 Thermador appliances in 2015 when I remodeled my first Thermador kitchen, which I LOVED. First: the new wall oven, model MED271JS, the narrowest oven they make at 27 wide, does not heat properly. It beeps that it has reached the set temp., but actually is 50 degrees (more or less) below the set temp. Baking cookies is a crap shoot as to whether they will be flat, indicating too low an oven temp. and that is what I usually get...flat cookies. I have not been able to consistently correct this problem. Roasting is also unpredictable. I have ruined many of very expensive meals due to the temp problem.I have had our local Thermador repair people out 3-4 times to address the inconsistent heating problem. They were unable to correct the issue and told me that new ovens now take longer (up to 30 minutes) to preheat an oven, and that this oven was operating as it should. Also, the oven cannot be set to start at a later time. It does have a Sabbath mode, but that has to be scheduled the day before I want to start up the oven, which for me is useless. So the oven does not heat properly and has no TIME BAKE setting. I will not purchase a Thermador product for my new house that we are building.Second: the cooktop SGSX365FS, cooks beautifully. Temps are easy to control, but cleaning is a bear. The star shaped burners make cleaning far more difficult than round ones, but the shape does cover the bottom of pots better than round ones. And the glass plate under the knobs is not sealed to the cooktop, and is not removable to clean spills that flow underneath it! Now there is thoughtful engineering. I use a pipe cleaner to sort of clean the under surface. Lastly, the micro-convection microwave-oven combination unit, model MCES, works as expected. We often use it to bake small meals and the temp is far more predictable than in the main oven... It does not bake bakery very well but that is not recommended by Thermador. My first Thermador kitchen was beautiful and fabulous to use. Current Thermador products are sorely lacking. Sad.

We bought a very high end Thermador dishwasher, DWHD630GCM, about 20 months ago. Four weeks ago, its lower pan completely broke so we called their repair service. The repairman told us that its not reparable, but Thermador should replace it because the hinge is not broken and hence the pan could not have been broken by us. We called Thermador to replace this dishwasher, but they flatly refused by saying that there is no manufacturing defect in this dishwasher. It is patently absurd that the bottom pan can break by abnormal use but the corresponding hinge on the door does not break.

This oven has malfunctioned since the day it was installed. It doesn’t heat to the right temperature, it doesn’t maintain the right temperature and nothing ever cooks inside. When using the top oven simultaneously with the bottom oven, the bottom oven automatically cools down. It was finally replaced with a new one and the new one does the same thing. I am going to take the $8,500 loss, and buy a new oven. Also, I would steer clear of Thermador refrigerators as well. They are very poorly designed!

Biggest mistake ever. I bought a Thermador 38 range for $8,000.00 in 2002 and have been repairing it ever since. First the overhead lights quit working. Then the knobs starting falling off. The main oven has never held even heating and now Thermador tells me they have discontinued the parts I need to repair the oven. Thermador, Bosch, Gaggenau are all the same company. I purchased the side by side fridge and freezer in 2011. The ice maker immediately stopped working so it was replaced. The new ice maker would then jam up and cause me to take the drawer out and manually break up the ice. Ive spent over $500 in repair costs to try to get this fixed and nobody has an answer. Now, 8 years after I bought it, I still have to pull the drawer out and manually break up the ice every couple of days. Thats hundreds of times now since I bought it. I get more annoyed each time I have to do it as you could imagine. Ive contacted Thermador support multiple times on this matter. Each time they deny my request for action on their end. Ive spent well over $25k on Thermador appliances. ILL NEVER GIVE ANOTHER DOLLAR TO THIS COMPANY. Highly overrated and overpriced. Good riddance.

We purchased the 36 professional range, with 4 burners and griddle in the middle, about 2 years ago and are fairly content. But the reason for the 2 stars is that for nearly $10,000 we should be completely satisfied. The light inside went out within about a year, weve had a few issues with the bake function (which Thermador took care of), but have also been dealing with a loud noise in the back for about a year.Upon looking at the back, up top, right inside the vent area, its apparent that the sheet metal they used wasnt installed flat. So basically theres a bulge that rattles, since it doesnt sit flush, and they used far too few rivets to secure it. For this amount of money it just doesnt seem right. Dont even get me started on the dishwasher, if you dont pre-clean dishes very very thoroughly, it will start giving you problems. My last GE dishwasher, which was just a few hundred dollars, ran like a champ without a problem - ever.

Double oven purchased in 2007 (ME302ES/01). The cooling fan caused an error code E118. Thermador has no one in my area to fix it. They will not give me the information to correctly diagnose the issue. I paid a lot of money for this bucket and the Thermador National Parts Center (877-731-8081) marks up the price of the part to above retail. When confronted the sales person said, ** you, and hung up. I think Ill yank it out and you fill in the blank with your colorful mete-fore. I ordered a cooling fan from Bosh (800-944-2904) for $116.00 and will change it out once. Im thinking about a class action law suit if nothing is done.

We purchased a complete Thermador package in 2015 that included the side by side fridge and freezer unit approximately $8000.00. The first 18 months, no problems. Then water/ice started to run down the inside of the freezer and interfering with the unit fan. Which then resulted in the temperature rising above freezing. The certified Thermador repair folks have been out at least 6 times and have replaced almost all of the components of the freezer unit usually at a cost of $200 per visit. When working on the unit, they were in voice contact with the Thermador technicians doing what they were told. Each repair lasted 3-4 months and then water and ice began to run down the insides of the unit, same old problem. Thank heavens the local, certified tech is nice to work with and he is totally frustrated with the Thermador experts. I would think Thermador would replace such a defective unit at cost or no cost. But not at this date. Working with the local tech we are going to send an itemized cost of repair to Thermador that has occurred over the past years and see what happens. Will keep you posted.

We purchased 2 Thermador gas ranges in 2005, one smaller wall unit and a larger free standing 6 burner model PG3668s/05. I hardly have used the larger oven, only for holiday turkeys and meals in the past 12 years, as it has continually needed servicing! I am very disappointed in this model as it was expensive, and larger yet not at all efficient as I had hoped with larger meals. I wish we had purchased 2 of the SEC301 type wall units instead of this deluxe gas range. The problems we continually have had with this range are mostly concerning the heat of the oven. It does not heat to the desired temperature! We have had North Town service this issue so many times, with the fan and the controls, and the starter, and it never seems to solve the heating up problem. Then the large door fell off! It is a heavy door and the hinges on one side broke. I have stopped trusting it to fully cook the food after half cooked casseroles and turkeys. I depend on the smaller unit for all my baking and cooking because of these issues. I trusted the Thermador brand and at first, was excited to have purchased this large, convection/gas range... however, the oven has been out of commission much more than it has been functioning! Repairs have cost us more than we have expected since the oven consistently doesnt heat up beyond 250 degrees, and the warranty for repairs is only 6 months! I will not purchase another large Thermador professional gas range again because of all the problems I have encountered with this model.

ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream
ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream of my wifes, which now has turned out to be her worst NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! We had it installed in our remodeled kitchen. Looks really nice, but for the most part so does a bookend. The range part works well but the oven is a joke. The only thing it cooks good is our bank account...! The wonderful people at Thermador thought they had better way to light a oven, putting a delay of so many seconds on the gas valve, before it lights... Thus filling your oven full of gas and when it lights, which you have a 50/50 chance that it might, the door on the oven jumps out a bit as it is now lit... For how long it stays going is a crapshoot. If you are cooking a roast that will take over a hour, forget it. It wont relight to keep at temp. But the fun part of it is the temp on the dial shows whatever the temp you set it at! Open the oven and its around 100 degrees. NICE! It is what it is and thats JUNK!We had a company who was great repairing the Wonderful PRO-Grand, new name should be PRO Crap, but anyway the repairman found a missing part in the oven. Called the Company and got the repair tech on the phone, who stated, We do not sell that Part... Now three weeks later the repair company going to bat for me, got the people at Thermador to send us the part. Which in fact they forgot to install at the so-called Factory! Wonderful the problem fixed right?????? NOPE! Installed that part and the oven is still doing the same thing...! Anyway not wanting to see the Nice repairman again for awhile we started using the barbecue as our new oven!Works great keeps the temp right and it only cost $300.00. Pro Grand $6000.00 Plus.... Is there something wrong with this picture????? Now we are getting close to the end of this Saga.....! Bit the bullet and called the Nice Repairman. Was like old home week for the first three minutes, but he got the Pro Grand apart could not figure it out and call the Factory Tech. His name is Mr. Confused. Was told what was happening and he could not figure it out either.....! So the Nice Repairman asked, Why do we need this delay on the gas and light it like the broiler lights? which is right now... Doesnt figure does it.....! DA. Okay, now one great-minded repairman and one confused Factory Tech tells the Nice Repairman, You mean like the Older Pro Grands? Yes, the OLD ONE!!!!!!! Yes!!!! Factory Tech the Old tried and true Lights every time system. Okay, the Confused Factory Tech says... Now we wait!!!!!!! Nice repairman leaves to find out what he needs as far as parts and if he really is right... Yes he was!!!!! Mr. Nice Repairman got all the new stuff ordered and now I have to Open my wallet again to pay the Nice Repair Company...! The cost of this repair was Only $475.80 thus bring up the total cost of repairs to $1065.71 Pro Grands final repair total. Dont waste your time with Thermador thinking they will stand behind the product. The Fact is they wont....! For those of you who dont know this Thermador is owned by Bosch...... !

We bought a Thermador double wall oven 5 years ago among many other appliances when redoing our kitchen and almost every time we use the self-clean feature, it goes into error mode and breaks the control board, the motor, or something else. We have had multiple repairmen out, including Thermador themselves, and each time it costs between $250-$350 dollars to service. I tried speaking to upper management from Thermador several times and they basically ignored my issue and told me it was too bad and they would not replace the unit. It has never been misused, and is treated with kid gloves and kept very clean. I would NEVER EVER buy Thermador ovens and watch out for their terrible customer service.

I wish Id never bought it. This Thermador range has very finicky computer boards under the two X-LO simmer burners which are the first to go. My stove was delivered in September; the first burner broke in November, the next one in December, a third one in January, and in February, the original broken one broke again. I had 7 service appointments in the first 6 months for 4 out of 5 burners, and I wanted to return the stove. Its a lemon, or a bad design. But neither the appliance store nor Thermador would hear of it. Thermador extended my warranty another year, and that first burner just broke again. So Ive had 10 service calls now in two years. I told my friend who was shopping not to get this stove, but she ignored my advice, got a Thermador, and had to call service for repair in the first couple months. Choose a Wolf or Viking instead!

We have purchased a house with 5-year old all Thermador top of the line appliances. The refrigerator had a chronic problem with the ice and water dispenser leaking and not working adequately on any level. I called Thermador, and they recommended their local factory certified technician. He has made one repair with no results. The second repair involved replacing the door on the dispensers, as well as the optical sensors, with no change in results. I called Thermador and received a rude and uncooperative attendant, who refused to transfer me to a supervisor or give me information as to how to contact the service manager. I say, if you are in the luxury item market, you need to have that level of customer service. I think either a class action suit or a social media storm should get Thermador’s attention. We purchased a high end Thermador Dishwasher 3 years and 10 months ago. We had a Whirlpool dishwasher that lasted about 12 years, which we replaced with a nice KitchenAid that lasted about 7 years. We then decided to upgrade to a high end Dishwasher in December of 2015. We purchased a Thermador Stainless Steel Dishwasher because we were told it was a much higher quality machine than the Whirlpool or KitchenAid and it would outlast them all. It lasted only 3 years and 10 months before the heating coil quit working last week. Now it only washes with cold water and grease or butter stays on the silverware and plates. I called our local repair service and they said to contact Thermador because many companies will go ahead and cover repairs within a couple years of the warranty expiration. I called Thermador and they will not cover the repair diagnostic visit nor the parts if it is the heat coil, which is what the error code says that it is. I asked the representative to ask the supervisor again and he said we would have to pay for the first repair visit and he may consider covering 50% of the part ($54) only. I was shocked that the Thermador quit working only after 3 years 10 months of light use by only 2 people (1/3 of the time of the Whirlpool that had heavier use at that time) and then that Thermador wouldnt cover the complete repair even when asked nicely twice. I wanted to make sure others were aware and warned before they pay extra for a Thermador Dishwasher that may only last a couple years.

During a cleaning cycle, the bottom oven glass completely shattered. Could have been dangerous if I had been nearby. Shame on Thermador for not fixing this problem! Otherwise the oven has been good, even if a bit confusing at times to use due to the electronic panel (which also had to be replaced early on). I purchased a french door refrigerator & paid over 6k for it. I have to call the one & only repair man (who is authorized to fix it) every year since Ive gotten it. It has not cost me over 10k for this refrigerator. The customer service is also horrible. The technician has to come in to diagnose the issue, order the part (which takes a week or so) then come back again to install. Usually a 3 week fix. How do you expect your customer to be without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks! The only authorized technician also dont want to come & fit it because he said it is just a huge hassle to fix. It has so many issues: ie. Ice maker had to be replaced twice at a cost of $500.00 for the parts, twice, the sensor panel went bad & totally froze the entire cooling unit. After purchasing our Thermador Range, Model # PRD366GHU in 2011, the oven has stopped working on multiple occasions. Only to finally find out, from the most recent service tech, that there is a design flaw in the range and the heat of the oven when its in self-clean mode, trips a high-temp cut off, leaving the oven inoperable until the cut off is reset. So after spending all of the money that this high-end brand charges, youd expect some sort of resolution from Thermador customer support... not so fast. They have started a file, not approved reimbursement of the service calls and I continue to chase them after being promised callbacks. It was a 95 model and I was thrilled to be getting an updated, and convection oven. Now, Im nervous about keeping it and having something disastrous happen from all of these other posts. I was only trying to find a replacement knob and was frustrated at not being able to find one since they are no longer manufactured. Our oven was very difficult to install. My husband and father were able to cut the holes into the attic and vent it properly, but it has never cooked evenly, even using convection, and it always takes 30-45 minutes longer to cook anything like casseroles or meatloaf, anything denser.

The overall performance was just as expected. It performed flawlessly. With its easy to use setup it was perfect for me and my family. There wasnt single thing on there that gave problems or had you questioning. Well for we paid for it its worth every penny we put down into it. I couldnt have been any more satisfied with it than I already am. I would recommend this brand to anyone and have already recommended to everyone I know. We have the stainless steel model with the side by side oven racks and double top cooking ranges and let me just say it looks absolutely stunning in my kitchen. Very sleek and modern look that would make any kitchen look spectacular. The overall size was just perfect for what I needed. Im able to cook multiple things at the same time without crowding my cook area. That goes for the oven and the ranges. If youre like me and have a big family and love to cook great food this is what youre looking for.

In 2003 we built our new home, and builder chose all Thermador appliances for the kitchen. We thought it was a reputable brand, and went along with it. These are the worst appliances we have owned. The electric smart zone stove takes literally hour to bring water a boil, wasting my time. I have two ovens, one of which lost its LED display and required replacement. The other does not heat the inside on BAKE, you have to put it on CONVECTION. On both, the door stopped closing completely after a while, requiring repair (even though we use the ovens maybe once every other week at maximum). The dishwasher, which does not clean dirty dishes (you have to prewash them) required repairs twice. The bottom dish rack is rusted and it costs ~$200 to replace it. All in all, I spent a ton of money on repairs, and every single piece has been a pain in the neck. I would NEVER EVER buy this brand again.

When we renovated our kitchen 6 years ago we got all Thermador appliances. The dishwasher has since been replaced (after 4 years and over $1,500 in repairs that lead to nothing), the double ovens work but I cannot read the digital display that shows the time or timer. This has never worked since day one and no matter what the technician tried to do, it didnt fix the problem that area just flashes. My favorite (tongue in check) appliance by far is the fridge. After about 8 months the left door suddenly wouldnt close. We discovered the plastic sleeve that rolls in when closing and out when opening kept buckling and we would have to smooth it over with our hands in order to close the door. Try having anyone under 5 feet do that every time they open the fridge door. This has been repaired 4 times. Presently, the door does not shut again, the fridge turns off every night so we wake to a warm fridge and turns itself back on once we start opening the doors in the morning. The ice maker also stopped working last week. Technician is coming today. I cannot tell you how excited I am to hear what will need to be done and the cost to start the process to fix the problems. If history repeats itself, I will spend a few thousand dollars trying to repair what is wrong, only to discover that I will need to spend more money to try other fixes... since the ones we have done are not working. If you are thinking about buying a Thermador... DO NOT DO IT. Unless you are the kind of person that enjoys throwing money out the window and dealing with a service department that loses interest in you the second you buy their product.

Thermador / Bosch only support the newest models of their appliance, and have discontinued product support and parts for legacy ranges and appliances. I need something as simple as a knob for a range, and their customer service basically told me to search the internet to see if I can find something, because they do not support their product and cannot recommend a replacement. They went on to tell me that they have no responsibility after the product is purchased and that it would be best to spend $1500 on a new range. Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service and support! Will never buy their products again!

I scheduled a repair over a month ago to repair my dishwasher. I took the day off to meet the service repairman. I called to confirm on the day of the appointment and I was told that the service tech did not have the part I needed, so I had to reschedule for two weeks later. When I called today to confirm, Thermador had not lodged the service order correctly and the service repairman still did not have the part we needed. I took the day off of work again today. I had to reschedule again for over a week for the next service call. I have now been without a working dishwasher for almost two months. The lack of concern here is really upsetting and I am out time and money because of the ineptitude of the Thermador Service department. I would think twice before ordering a Thermador appliance.

I purchased a $6250 (current retail price) 30 inch freezer column in 2009 when we built our home. 18 months after installation, the ice maker ceased working. No warranty. The freezer failed to cool 6 weeks ago. The part necessary to rectify the problem was also not covered -- just like the ice maker. We opted not to replace the ice maker, which would have resulted in a $700 charge and we paid approximately $350 to repair the current issue. It is unacceptable, and really borders on criminal, to incur these types of failures on a unit this new at a high end price point. I have an old GE fridge/freezer in the garage that was only several hundred dollars that is still working after 25 years. Shame on Thermador. I have several other Thermador appliances that are suboptimal. The Bosch washer died last Christmas after six service calls. Dont purchase Thermador or Bosch. You will be sorry!

Trying to keep it brief, we purchased a new home in February and started a remodel project which included the replacement of all of the appliances, among them a 30 Thermador natural gas range. The appliances were installed the beginning of September. Imagine our surprise when the oven wouldnt work. We called the retailer and couldnt get call backs from them. We contacted Thermador directly who provided numbers for authorized repair representatives in our area. Two visits, safety gas valve and igniter replaced and we still have no oven. The third repair visit is scheduled for 10/1/15.

It simple to use and efficient. I am extremely happy with the overall value. I was able to purchase at an amazing price. I actually spent less than I had budgeted for, which made me very happy. It looks great, works great. I am extremely happy with the appearance of the product. Considering I was able to get it at an amazing price, it still looks modern and stylish. It looks a lot more expensive than it actually was and it matches my other appliances, and looks awesome in my kitchen. The size of the range is perfect. Big enough that I can fit larger items in the stove and cook multiple sides on the range top. But its not so bulky that it looks obnoxious. It fits perfectly in the designated area.

Thermador Professional Pro-Guard Model PRL486EDG/02 - After reading many of the reviews on this website, it is fitting that we share our negative experience as well. Many of the issues posted by other owners are the same we have experienced - small oven explosion, XLO burners not working, replacement of both oven controls and most recently, ovens not operating. The stove is 5 years old and was purchased new. The first issues began shortly after moving in to our new home. The local authorized service representative really didnt know much about the equipment. We have since found a local repair rep who has tried to repair each issue and has gotten timely tech support but for the most part, it has been to replace a part. Currently, every feature is working; however, we do not recommend buying a Thermador product due to lack of meaningful warranty, customer support, and the cost of ownership. We will replace it rather than invest any more money in life support. Had we discovered this forum before we purchased the stove, we would have chosen another manufacturer.

Next week Feb. 28th 2017, Thermador own technician is coming to assess, $120 plus $30. Made in 2004, so expensive but not repairable. WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO NOW??? P.S. We purchased both of these units. Thought we would not have to worry about buying appliances for awhile...wrong!! The panel on the oven, even if you are cooking, turns off... starts beeping with a code f24. Thermador is fully aware of this problem. There is also a recall. If you try using the self-clean feature, the oven can catch fire. I did an online search for this oven. There is a recall -- An 800 number is listed on line for the owner to call. This is to set up a repairman to come out. This site claims they are open to take callers 24/7. I have heard a recorded message that has said, Thank you for calling, a customer service person will be with you shortly. I have heard this message 178 times as of this minute. As for the propane cook top, with the built in BBQ, the flames are so low, I stopped using the cook top, called out a repairman. He said, No way can I increase the flame size. Cost to me -- over $9,000.00, PLUS INSTALLATION. So, if you still want to purchase anything Thermador, you have a problem...it will be on you. You have been warned.

Since purchasing my Thermador Freezer, I have had an ongoing problem with the ice maker. It just stops working. After being repaired numerous times, Thermador approved having the entire unit replaced, sending me an e-mail confirming this decision on August 7 and promising someone would contact me within 7-10 business days. This greatly eased my general disappointment with Thermador and its customer service department - including all the scheduled appointments that were cancelled (last minute) or no shows. I believed they were trying to correct what was overall a frustrating and negative experience. Unfortunately, I am now even more frustrated as it is September and I still do not have a working ice maker/freezer. When we built this house in 1975, we built a space for the Thermador with a single oven, a microwave and a warming drawer. I dont recall when it died or what killed it, but while it required repairs from time to time, it gave us good service for a number of years. Since we had the hole in the wall to fill and were satisfied with Thermador, we bought a modern version of our first Thermador for about $5000.00!! Another way to say that is that we bought a piece of CRAP from a company that doesnt give a rats ass about their stuckees. Our microwave failed. I called Thermador. Not only could they not sell me a replacement, the customer service rep would not even tell me where or how to get one. We finally found out from other Thermador stuckees, that there are number of name brand replacements that cost only a few hundred dollars. All that is required is a replacement the same size. We had a professional do it and I watched him work with some metal tape to seal the exhaust duct. But there is no electrical work required. It just plugs in to a receptacle inside the cavity which houses it. We ended up with a Whirlpool we got from Lowes. It fits like a glove! We were not so lucky with our main oven. They never got it fixed! The main oven gave us no problem until one evening we had guests over. I set the steaks to broil and a few minutes later, I opened the door to determine that they were cold and uncooked. Our outdoor grill saved the day. Although the oven worked on all other settings I failed on the height setting. Recommended for broiling steak and hamburger. It also failed on sausage. The oven operated on high broil for about 5-6 minutes and then cut itself off. When the door was opened, a huge amount of smoke poured out. A Thermador authorized repairman came out. Mind you this was the first time anyone had been into the oven circuitry since we bought it. He found a clearly amateurish setup where wires were tied together with friction tape. Was that done at the Thermador factory? We were, as I recall beyond the warranty cutoff date. He replaced a circuit board for a couple hundred bucks. That did no good! Then he replaced a Thermocouple for over a hundred bucks. That did no good. This poor guy came at least a half dozen times. Each time he consulted with the Thermador experts on the phone - all to no avail. Then he retired! The authorized repair company sent another guy out. He played with it for a couple hour and finally concluded that the owners manual was wrong in their instructions on where to put the meat. He noted that the steaks could be placed on a lower rack, like rack 4 instead of 6 and the steaks would do just as well. And that contrary to what the manual said and contrary to the fact that it worked fine using the recommended settings prior to the first failure - that was the way this clown insisted the oven was supposed to work. With that he came up with a $250 bill for his time. That was about a year ago. I hope hes still holding his breath. Each failure was accompanied by a tremendous amount of smoke. There is no internal exhaust system, but the experts couldnt explain the smoke accompanying the failure. I dont have the answer but we have found that while we get a failure and a lot of smoke and a failure with the rack at level 6. Hi Broil. We get no failure and less smoke (of course) with the rack set at level 6 Hi Convection Broil. So through no fault of Thermador, we can broil steaks almost like the user manual recommends.

Buyer beware - if you need support, you won’t get it easily from Thermador based on my experience. They charged me about $750 for a replacement part for a fridge. The part arrived in approx. Sept. 2021. For two months they have been unable to coordinate two techs (the number needed) to come install the part for my fridge. On the first visit, despite my reminding them in advance that we needed two techs, only one came and couldn’t do the job. He rescheduled for a month later. On the day, no one came (not a typo). Instead, Theramdor claims I cancelled the appointment… Why would I do that? Now it’s the third visit —11/29/2021. Despite advising them again that we needed two techs, they coordinated only one. I called today (11/28) to confirm they would get two out here, and there was literally nothing they could do to confirm one way or another. I’ve asked to speak with supervisors on multiple occasions. I keep being told a supervisor would “call me back.” No one has ever called me back. For a company selling high end (ie, very expensive) appliances, you would think they could treat their customers with a smidgen of respect. Definitely the last time we buy a Thermador product. It’s just not worth the headache in my opinion, particular with an appliance that is only about 5 years old.

The following information is based on MY observations pertaining to the new Thermador kitchen appliance product line (range, microwave, oven and dishwasher) that we purchased in March 2019 and had installed in our home in May 2019. The six burner range with a grill is beautiful and works as designed to work. The microwave has a timer function that you cannot use because the panel light times out thereby cancelling the timer you set for cooking needs (I’m told this is a design function that cannot be changed due to energy-savings guidelines). You have to press six (6) button options before it’s set and starts to warm up a cup of water or other warming/heating needs. There is no distinction in the sound coming out of it whether set at the lowest (1) or the highest (5). The volume control, while set at its lowest setting (1), is so very loud and can be heard throughout the entire house (I’m told this is a design function that cannot be changed). The oven works as designed to work, however, the volume control is similar to the microwave except in REVERSE; the sound is barely audible while set at the highest setting (5) which means you must remain in the kitchen to hear the timer go off indicating your food is ready to be checked and come out of the oven (I’m told that they’re working on a design fix due to consumer feedback and it could take several months to correct). The dishwasher manual encourages you NOT to rinse your dishes but to scrape the food off and allow the sensor to regulate the cleaning mode.Since it uses a condensation heat mode to dry your dishes it never seems to completely cool down and dry out inside the unit so the remaining food on the plate starts to decay and smell foul when you open the door. I had to purchase an old fashioned timer to set on the kitchen counter for cooking timing purposes, and warming up a midnight snack or a cup of water for tea in the morning are a thing of the past unless I want to wake everyone in the house up.

We purchased the 48 range and microwave among other Thermador and Bosch appliances and weve had nothing but repair bills. Weve spent thousands of $ getting this junk fixed. Were even having the same thing go wrong multiple times. Im really disappointed in the brand and would not recommend it at all. Im writing this now because I have to get the microwave fixed for the third time. Warrant, sure, good luck with that. Youre still going to pay up.

We bought all Thermador appliances when we remodeled our kitchen. The double ovens have been nothing but trouble. We have had to replace the ignitors twice on the small oven and twice on the large oven. When I tell you the larger oven may have been used 10 times in between replacements, I might be exaggerating. Thermador refuses to do anything. When you call they are happy to note your concern in the account and that is it! We should have gone with Wolf.

I want other people to know that as long as your appliance is in warranty, Thermador will take good care of you. If a problem comes up out of warranty they do not want to work with you and try to send you to a service co. that rips you off. They will not help you with problem, will not let you talk to their tech person, will not give you a parts or repair manual. They leave you to the mercy of service people. My latest repair of a range parts will be $40.31 plus labor. Their service co wants my credit card number and $792.88 to service unit plus if tech not able to complete job and returns they want another $550.00 service call.I will not specify Thermador products on my designs anymore, and I will repair my range myself. I was not aware I was leading customers into this trap. I called three local service companies and all were around $250.00 to fix including if they had to get a part and come back. No extra charge. I spent a lot of time trying to get Thermador to help me, even went to supervisor. They would not help at all.

We had a Thermador double oven in our old house, dont remember the model number, purchased in about 2000. About 4 years into ownership we began to get fault codes. Cycling the power would restore operation but the problem became more frequent. Thermador were non-responsive to be polite about it. Im an electronics hobbyist so I pulled the circuit boards out myself. I found that they used a significant number of electrolytic capacitors. These are heat sensitive devices with a specified lifetime. I checked and found that 80% of the electrolytic capacitors were at end of life, displaying either a high esr or low capacitance or both. I replaced the capacitors with higher temperature rated and higher quality ones at a total cost of $15. Problems solved and unit was working well when we sold the house about 5 years ago. The local appliance repair shop wanted north of $500 to visit and replace the boards, no prizes for guessing what I told them.We purchased, maybe regretfully, a new model double oven Thermador for our new house that we moved into 5 years ago. Yeah, I know doing the same thing and expecting different results etc. It is now Christmas Eve and the oven has had to be re-started twice so far. Hopefully it will hang on and produce Christmas dinner before totally crapping out. I will then get into the guts and Ill bet every Christmas cracker in the house that I find the same issue as the previous model.I will not even bother contacting Thermador. What gets my goat is that if Thermador were to install higher temperature rated and better quality capacitors in the first place then a ten year life would be likely achievable. The cost, with their bulk purchasing power, would be probably less than $5 per oven. Ill lay another bet that their cost accountants are a part of the problem, shaving cents here and there and seriously compromising what, for the price, should be a rolls Royce oven.Tip for all, if the oven starts to exhibit strange behavior find a friend who is competent with electronics. He can probably fix it for you for a bottle of his favorite tipple and a few electrolytic capacitors at a cost of less than $20. Thermador, shame on you. Cheap electrolytic capacitors, poor thermal design and a ‘couldnt care less’ service attitude. I know I have the receipt for the current oven somewhere in my files, purchased from Trail appliances along with a five ring Wolf gas range top, Wolf wok burner, Wolf 60 inch external fan hood and a Bosch dishwasher. Just not going to go looking for it right now.

First a little background. We own 2 homes and in them we have 3 Bosch dishwashers, 2 Thermador Cooktops and Thermador oven. All purchased new within the last 5 years. So with our one cooktop [$1,530 purchase price] one burner wasnt working and the burner cap had fallen down into the unit. We contacted the local AUTHORIZED Thermador repair center. They came out and said the end caps had fused on due to heat and the cooktop couldnt be taken off to do the repair. They said it would have be drilled out and a new cooktop installed. We then contacted where we had purchased it and they said this was a common problem with Thermador and suggested we contact them. We contacted Thermador and opened a claim. They asked us to get an invoice showing we purchased the cooktop new, verification of the diagnosis by their authorized repair center, and the new cooktop invoice and installation receipt. While I was gathering all of those invoices we received a call back saying they would not do anything to assist us because we hadnt contacted them to see if it could be repaired. In fact we had and contacted their repair center. We hadnt contacted while the problem had occurred. In fact we had and opened the claim the day the repair was being done. We even spoke with a supervisor [Vanessa] who simply said they do not help in these cases. If this is how they treat a customer who had purchased what we had [and all high end products] I cant imagine how they treat everyone else. There will be no Bosch or Thermador going back into our home.

Thermador double oven ME302JS, Refrigerator T36BB810SS - We purchased a suite of appliances including a fridge, range top, double oven, and dishwasher. The double ovens function just fine. However they buzz very, very loudly. Service has been to our house four times to either diagnose or attempt a repair to no avail. The service techs have been pleasant to work with and I appreciate their efforts as they have expressed genuine frustration. They have also expressed frustration with Bosch as they havent been helpful to find a solution. The fridge suffers from a slow ice maker. After 24 hrs, the bin is only about two inches deep of ice. The motor was replaced, no success. Bosch told the techs to lower the temp from zero to -4. That didnt work either. The techs have asked for further help from a Bosch area rep on both issues but they havent been forthcoming. Ive also sought help from the store who sold us the appliances. They forwarded my video of the noise to Bosch personnel, but they havent responded either. My patience has run out. If Bosch was responsive and helpful with a solution, this review would be more positive.

If the other 300+ poor reviews dont deter you, perhaps this one will. I purchased a 6 burner range top from Pacific Sales along with a double convection oven. Out of the box, one of the burner keeps clicking and sparking. I phoned Thermador customer service immediately, they gave me an authorized tech. I called, he came and determined it must be a spark module problem. He returned to basically disassemble the entire stove, replacing not only the spark module, but wires as well. Took over 2 hours of trying to figure out the problem That didnt work. I felt I had the right as a customer to not have my new kitchen torn apart to figure a problem that lies with the manufacturer. I called and wrote to supervisors to evoke lemon law. No, they tell me that I needed to allow them 3 to 4 times to willy-nilly take apart the range and not figure out the issue. I rejected this. After 2 weeks of letter writing, emailing, and phone conversations, I agreed to let them do another repair. The tech they sent has been here for over an hour as I write this review, still trying to figure out the issue as if my stove is some sort of test for the tech. Really Thermador? Im just waiting for them to make good on their promise of replacing the range. Oh the tech they sent just knocked over a part and scratched up my brand new cabinet.
