Buyer beware - if you need support, you won’t get it easily from Thermador based on my experience. They charged me about $750 for a replacement part for a fridge. The part arrived in approx. Sept. 2021. For two months they have been unable to coordinate two techs (the number needed) to come install the part for my fridge. On the first visit, despite my reminding them in advance that we needed two techs, only one came and couldn’t do the job. He rescheduled for a month later. On the day, no one came (not a typo). Instead, Theramdor claims I cancelled the appointment… Why would I do that? Now it’s the third visit —11/29/2021. Despite advising them again that we needed two techs, they coordinated only one. I called today (11/28) to confirm they would get two out here, and there was literally nothing they could do to confirm one way or another. I’ve asked to speak with supervisors on multiple occasions. I keep being told a supervisor would “call me back.” No one has ever called me back. For a company selling high end (ie, very expensive) appliances, you would think they could treat their customers with a smidgen of respect. Definitely the last time we buy a Thermador product. It’s just not worth the headache in my opinion, particular with an appliance that is only about 5 years old.

We have a Thermador gas oven with griddle top. The non stick coating peeled after one year. They refused to back the defective griddle. Customer service extremely rude! They put you through many tasks to get a file number. Fan on oven is also very loud. Save yourself some headaches, DO NOT Purchase Thermador!

We bought a high-end double wall oven because my wife loves to bake. Within the first year, it started having problems and Thermador sent out multiple repairmen to fix it. All claimed it was fixed but the same problems returned. The door will not close and the motherboard is fried. This thing is a piece of garbage and any appliance store that sells it such as Spencers TV and Appliance should be questioned for having such garbage in their store.

I purchased a complete set of Thermador appliances, double oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and refrigerator three years ago for my kitchen remodel. Every appliance has stopped working at least once. This Thanksgiving 2011, while cooking dinner for 25 family members, the ovens went out again. The oven and refrigerator has quit three times. They were repaired once under warranty and I have paid over 1600.00 for the other repairs. This stuff is junk. The service hotline was unhelpful and kept giving me service companies that would not work on their product anymore. I will never recommend or purchase anything from this manufacturer again.

We purchased our unit Thermador Pro Grand 48in stove around 2009. Have had nothing but problems with the unit. The biggest being the big oven is undependable. I complained constantly that my food was not cooking properly and everyone thought I was nuts. When I start the oven, I can hear the gas come on, then it shuts off again immediately. Today, July 21st, 2014, after replacing parts in Feb. 2014, I have to call someone again because it is broken again. We average 2 service calls a year with parts and labor. This unit also has a design flaw. The electronics sit under one of the burners and if you have a boil over you are in trouble. I am so hugely disappointed in this product and would not recommend Thermador to anyone.

As with others, we spent a lot of money on this over/under oven. Looks nice but the internal design is awful. Its been 4 years now and we have had to replace the control boards 3 times already... and it died again a week ago. There is NO support for Thermador appliances in the Dallas area. Parts cost as much as the original unit almost if you can find them. I have replaced the faulty boards 3 times so far, but Im too tired to deal with this anymore. The analog & digital boards run about $600... 3 sets are enough for a new oven. Its a giant rip-off. Where is the quality design & service... missing totally. Were going to purchase a new oven now and it wont be Thermador. In 50 years, I have never experienced such poor design and support. I cant believe Thermador is still in business!

We purchased a Thermador Pro Grand 60 Range on 4/25/2019 from Ferguson Appliance, 3201 Powell Ave, Nashville, TN 37204. We experienced our first service issue within 6 months and the problems have persisted. Thermador refuses replace the range and continues to put us through misery to maintain this $20,000 appliance. Repair Issue #1 – 10/17/19• Door Gasket on Steam Oven Failed Repair Issue #2– 4/20/20• Stainless steel borders (sides and front) became discolored and pitted. Thermador replaced. Repair Issue #3 – 1/12/21 through 1/26/21 • Complete failure of internal electronic components. • All electronic boards had to be replaced over multiple service calls.• Top griddle warped and had to be replaced. Repair Issue#4 - 3/9/21• Warming drawer display module failed. Still not repaired. Repair Issue #5 – 4/15/21• Rear fans making growling noise. Still not addressed. All warranty work to date has been conducted by Huff Appliance, 1314 Woodland Street, Nashville, TN 37206. Phone (615) 226-2080. On 4/15/21 Huff Appliance stated, “This unit has so many issues that in my opinion this unit is unrepairable.” On 4/26/21 Thermador requested additional information of Huff Appliance on all issues to decide on if they will replace the unit. This process has grown increasingly frustrating, given Thermador has a detailed service record of the repairs which they (Thermador) authorized to date. Our warranty (2 years) has now officially expired, and it appears Thermador is attempting to wash their hands of this issue. We purchased this appliance for daily use and entertaining. Parts have taken weeks and months to arrive. During much of our ownership over two years it has been non-operational (and still is). We understand that given COVID, parts may take longer. Given this was a new unit we should have not been put in this situation. We have zero confidence this unit will not break down again due to its performance history. My wife had double hip replacement surgery 10 days ago and Thermador called this morning telling us they want to send another service agent to our home. Unfortunately we are at a point where we will need to get attorneys involved. Avoid this company at all costs, their customer service is terrible.

My husband and I had been planning on renovating our kitchen for three years before beginning construction. We finally made the big move and gutted from floor to ceiling redoing lighting, flooring, sheetrock, every part of the kitchen. We chose Thermador appliances after visiting many appliance stores and talking to friends that have Thermador. Also, when you are purchasing all new appliances the appliance package is hard to pass up. We debated on getting Sub Zero/Wolf because it was only $3,000 more but in the end decided on Thermador 2018 Freedom Refrigerator and Freezer much to our dismay. We got our refrigerator first because both were on back order. Within the first 24 hours our refrigerator lights were not working properly and the unit switched off and on. We had to contact a repair person within the first day of having it. They replaced the main board at this time. We then finally received our freezer and again issues. Both appliances (2018 Freedom Refrigerator and Freezer) completely quit working within the first week. We are beyond frustrated and disappointed. The customer service at Thermador is terrible!!! I am wondering if anyone is having these issues and for anyone considering new appliances dont buy Thermador!!

I too have a Thermador hood range PSE36US which we purchased in 2005. I also spent an additional $650 for the powerful blower to go along with the hood. I bought this product, thinking I was making a permanent purchase to install into my custom kitchen. I was sadly wrong. The buttons quit working for the lights along with some of the speed buttons for the fan. Then the housing that contained the circuit board with the buttons broke. The local appliance parts store I use told me that Thermador was the absolute worst company for parts, and in many cases, he refuses to deal with them because of their customer service. After some ordeal, I finally got to order both of these items. The circuit board was shipped and the housing is on backorder. Its going on three months, and all I can get is that the part is on backorder with no due date for the housing. I even wrote to the headquarters company in France with no response. Im going to have to somehow jerry rig the housing in order to close the filtering area. My advice to potential purchasers is to do your homework and research the company you are about to do business with. This will, no doubt, be the last Thermador product I will ever own. Dont be fooled by how pretty the product looks if you want something that can last. Its all about longevity, repair and service.

Bought the Freedom Induction Cooktop 7 years ago. First broke down two months out of 3 year warranty then again at seven year mark. Customer support was extremely poor. Thermador Serviceman said he had never been trained on the stove and didn’t know what to do. Both times it was the main module that went. First repair was over $600 and this repair would have been Over $1400. Customer service would not tell me whether a new part would have been modified to fix the obvious problem (as written up all over the internet). We chosen to pursue our FREEDOM from THERMACRAP and choose to INDUCT them into the Hall of Poor Quality and Customer Support. We have had much better success with KitchenAid.

Two and a half months ago my CIT365DS induction cook-top displayed an F0 error code. Two burners are out. I repeatedly called tech support and they couldnt find an authorized repair tech in my area. After 2 months I finally got a call from South Carolina telling me that I am on my own in finding someone to service my cook-top. I have the name of the Thermador service technician in Huntington Beach, Ca who for three weeks failed to call the one person left who is qualified to repair this thing. I even spoke with this Thermador technician last week and he assured me that he would call the service company in Port Angeles and arrange a service call. He failed miserably in making that call. I have never run across a company that holds customer satisfaction in such little regard. Yes, I am angry.

I have a 48 inch professional Thermador Range. Model # PG486GEBS/12. It came with the house when we purchased it. The house was new construction in 2007. Since the first year that we have had it, it has broken 14 different times and we have spent nearly $8,000 repairing it. The burners have broken a number of times. They wouldnt light at all. Ive replaced the simmer kits at least 5 times. The oven has also broken at least 5 times. Needed spark modules. Then there was the oven door latch that locked itself 4 times. Ive needed control board kits at least 2 times as well. Its a dual oven. It would turn itself off and not heat or it would not ignite at all. The burners on top would short out all of the time. I work full time and if we use the burners or the oven twice a week, that would be a lot. I finally got wise and called Thermador and they were awful and unhelpful. Last year, they did replace the parts for the burners for free but it took months for me to get them to actually send the parts. I had to provide more documentation than the Warren Commission had on JFKs assassination. This time around, the oven is broken again and needs an $800 repair. They offered to send me replacement parts for 50% of the cost, even though we have had nothing but problems. I declined their offer and am ripping this piece of garbage out of my house. They do not stand behind their products and the people that repair this appliance have stopped selling Thermador products completely. They look nice but are garbage. Do not spend the money on their ranges.

Weve owned our oven for over 10 years. Ive loved using this Thermador oven. Two years ago, the oven would beep continuously after its turned off. The only way to sop it was to literally pull the electric switch to the oven on the outside of the house. Weve had many repairs... new control panel, oven hinges, new seals, more tech repair visits, you name it. Nothing has stopped this beeping. Evidentially, the oven heats up and hit the panel sensors somehow and the beeping begins! Im frustrated and disappointed in Thermador. We remodeled our home of twenty-plus years and bought a 30 Thermador Pro Harmony gas range. One of the first times we used the oven we accidentally spilled some liquid on the front of it with the oven door open - it shorted out a circuit board that should have been protected. This was fixed very quickly under warranty and had no further problems with it.Sold that house and bought another that needed a whole new kitchen. Bought a 36 Thermador Pro Harmony range and love it, no problems at all so far 1.5 years later. Along with that got the free dishwasher, Thermador though its made by Bosch, works beautifully, quiet. Also have the 36 Thermador French Door, bottom freezer refrigerator with NO in-door water or ice to keep things simple. Its gorgeous, with brilliant LED lighting and lots of storage. With it came the free range hood that is strong and has good lighting, easy to clean grease filters. To finish things off we purchased the Thermador drawer microwave which we were a little leery of, but have grown to love it. No more awkward reaching into a wall-mounted unit, we pluck everything out of the drawer! No turn-table but do not miss it.The 36 range has very flush grates making it easy to move pots around. The burners are very strong with great low simmer capabilities. The oven works well with roller bearing glides on the racks making them a breeze to pull in and out, even with the Thanksgiving turkey. Would definitely recommend Thermador to anyone, given our experience.

Thermador 48 double oven ,4 burner, grill and griddle - We remodeled our kitchen in 2005, and I purchased what I thought was the best cooking appliance available. I was sadly mistaken. The small left side oven no longer works properly and can only be used as a warming drawer. The temperature will no longer go above 120 degrees. The part needed to repair this I am told is $900 plus labor. I doubt if I have used this oven more than 25 times since it was installed. My Thermador double oven is only 3yrs old. The first problem I had was to replace the clock. It had stop working. Thank goodness it was still under warranty that time. Now after 3 years having the oven, my stress level had sky rocket. First, it took over a month to finally to get an authorized technician to come out to look at it. So, I had 3 technicians to tell me what parts I need to replace it. Thermador have given me 50% off the price of the parts. Well I guess the management felt sorry for me since it took over a month to get a Technician out here. So, the technician ask me to order the first two parts which was the wire harness & module control. Well it still didnt work. So I order the 3rd parts; it still didnt work. Then I finally order the 4th part which is the power supply. My oven is still not working! For the fourth time of replacing this parts. This oven is totally curse. This is beyond me. I have never in my life had never run into this kind of problem. Worse than a vehicle. This issue has been going on for 5 months now. Please if someone is reading this or had the same similar incident. I need help!

Thermador -Unless you enjoying seeing F-34 codes on the panel, do not buy! Their products are suppose to be a higher end brand of appliances and the cost goes right along with that. I have a Thermador built in double wall oven. I cannot tell you how many control panels I have had replaced at $486 each plus labor! Tack on the relay and touch panel replacements, Ive clearly spent more on the repairs than the outrageously priced oven. I had an authorized Thermador service company here. After following the advice of THERMADOR tech. (who was on speaker phone,) they decided to replace the control panel. That was done but it did not fix the problem. So now trying a display panel BUT once an electronic part is opened it cannot be returned. So $486 down the drain. When panel was connected something happened with electric and everything went out. Now they say I need relay, control and display! NO THANK YOU!!I have never written a negative comment on any appliance before and probably would not have bothered with this, but the poor customer service was worse than the actual horrible oven. When I called customer service, I can tell that she was not interested in what I had to say. All service call copies were emailed to the email address given with a case number she gave me. I followed up 3 days later and of course they said customer service gave me the wrong email address. Back to square 1. No working oven, in the middle of a pandemic with a family of 6 and only a cooktop and microwave. Thank goodness my cooktop is a Viking. Never had a service call on it. I am purchasing a new wall oven. I would love to drop this off at Thermadors doorstep. Purchasing a new oven. Needless to say it will not be a Thermador.

As part of a SF Bay Area remodel last year, we were excited to replace all
As part of a SF Bay Area remodel last year, we were excited to replace all appliances with Thermador top-line products. We spent about $30,000, anticipating a great kitchen experience with their products. Instead, we were utterly disappointed and left wishing that we had picked almost any other appliance brand! The Thermador Convection Oven Microwave MC30WS/01 is a nightmare. Every single time you have to use the microwave you have to endure a 2-second ‘boot-up’ process that flashes “Thermador” accompanied by a loud tinny tune. WHY??Then it takes 3 steps to select a simple microwave setting to finally get it going. But, if you start the unit and step away to do anything else (which is what you do all the time!) it will hammer you with a loud alert jingle that it is done - not once or twice, but again, and again, and again and again and again and AGAIN… a total of FIFTEEN TIMES! WHY?? And there’s no way to silence this “feature”. For $3,000 all we bought ourselves was a dose of daily aggravation. Similarly the Dishwasher DWHD650WPR/13. Once it completes the wash cycle, it too announces repeatedly - SIX loud beeps which repeat over and over SIX times, even in the dead of night.. and the only way to stop that madness is to go and open the unit’s door! It makes us wonder if these products are designed to impose upon the user rather than to do their job and sort of disappear in the background? For instance if a user starts the dishwasher at night, does Thermador expect her to stand by until the cycle is complete and they can kill the alerts so that a guest sleeping in an adjacent room doesn’t get disturbed? Or if a user starts the microwave, are they expected to physically stand by so that a string of unending alerts don’t wake up a sleeping baby? It is as if the people who designed the products never used them themselves. Otherwise it is hard to understand how anyone, especially a company like Bosch / Thermador, would let this stuff fly. We’ve never been so disappointed with appliances in all our lives, certainly not ones that are so expensive.

It’s a horrible oven and the worst customer service - poor controls, unreliable and poor response from customer service. The bottom line: no, I would not recommend this to a friend. This Thermador ME301E[S] wall oven is the bane of our lives. The interface panel had been replaced and still the oven did not work. The call to the Thermador supervisor took a week to get back to me. They would not take the $250.00 memory panel back even though that was not the cause of the self-clean operation as suggested by their authorized repair person. The oven would cease heating without notification on the display. Customer Service for Thermador is worse than anyone I have ever dealt with. The oven was serviced a number of times for other parts. Stay clear of their products, as they do not stand behind the appliance!

When we remodeled our kitchen 4 years ago we purchased Thermador appliances
When we remodeled our kitchen 4 years ago we purchased Thermador appliances - 2 ovens, an induction stovetop, and a dishwasher. I called for repairs on the ovens right away. They did not cook to temperature. Sometimes it takes me twice as long to cook a recipe. When making cookies and the recipe say 12 minutes, I set the trimmer for 16. When the repair man got there he told me that I needed to learn to cook again and that the times on recipes were not right. I told him that if an oven cooked to temp, then if they say it is done in 30 minutes, then it should be. I was told that, This is the way German engineers wanted it. I guess they do not want their appliance to work accurately. So we called the factory show room in Burlingame and attended their cooking class. I kept asking them about my problem with the ovens not being on temp. There I was told that I needed to look up on a chart the weight of our food and what type of food it is to determine the cooking time and temp. I was told to never just turn the oven on but to always use the fast preheating setting. This is hog-wash. To this day my ovens do not cook to temp and baking anything is a gamble. I have been very disappointed with my Thermador ovens.

We have now had our unit for 2.7 years now! I wrote about our numerous oven problems regarding faulty control panels previously. We are now waiting for our 5th oven control panel and just completed replacing the control panel in the microwave. Thank God we have a home warranty policy because something breaks on this unit at least every six months. I am 60+ years old and have owned many brands of appliances. This is by far the most unreliable brand I have ever owned.

Replacement part of oven sensor no longer available which makes the double ovens non-operational when it senses a problem that usually does not exist. All other parts of the oven work and it is poor customer service to leave a total replacement as the only option. Built-in oven replacements amount to thousands of dollars. I cannot in good conscience recommend a company that said they are only liable for the parts for 7 yrs. This is Thermador using Government Regulations to provide poor customer satisfaction and quality control.

I bought the stove in late August 2021, first call for service in September, November repair replacing 2 burners, gas jets, module, cover, ignition. One week later 2 burners not working, small oven not working. Large oven not heating evenly. Where I bought it said call Thermador customer service and request a new stove. Called Thermador, got a case number, supplied all info, received an email saying I need a tech to diagnose that it is not operating properly -- da dude! No techs in Vermont are even returning calls, the store I brought it from says Thermador responds to customers. Not them. Wow $12 --!3,000.00 for a new stove that is 3 months old and this is the service one receives. !!!Dont Do It. Buy Something Else!!! Terrible! Nothing good to say about this stove, the service and the company.

We paid a little over $25K for Thermador appliances and have had this equipment for almost three years. Our experience has been very poor. Given the price point, the equipment is unbelievably terrible. i.e. Our GE Profile appliances in our prior house had ZERO issues in 5 years and the equipment was 4 years old when we moved it. Thermadors customer support is difficult to reach. Theyre techs act like their is not a larger issue at hand even after youve called them 5 - 7 times over the same issue.1. Double Oven (digital version): The double oven is either too hot or too cold (weve called Thermador 5 - 7 times and every time they come out their techs say Our ovens are within tolerance if they are 25 degrees over or under the set temperature! Literally, the $400 Magic Chef oven/stove top that I grew up with had a more accurate and consistent oven temperature than the Thermador.2. Stove top and Fridge: These havent been so bad. The stove top had some issues with flames not burning even, which was resolved with new hardware. The fridge hinge wore into the plastic which was super annoying.3. Dishwasher: Three years into use, this dishwasher stopped working. Weve spend $500 in repairs and the non-Thermador tech said that Thermador appliances are known to have maintenance issues. Dishwasher will not run. First the pump stopped working, but it turned out there was a wire loose. Now we need a new electronic panel--Im throwing this thing out and buying a Miele or Asko.4. Customer Service: No joke there are times that Ive waited for 30 - 50 minutes to reach customer support. Thermador techs tend to be arrogant and believe their equipment is the best (which wouldnt be a big deal if Thermadors appliances backed up it).I would not recommend Thermador--youd be better off buyings anything/something cheap from Lowes or Home Depot.

The Thermador dishwasher was installed in the summer of 2012 (7 years ago). I have had to replace the computer as the lighting wasnt working (within 2 years). Shortly after replacing the same problem re-occurred. Now the dishwasher does not turn off and it runs and runs with no water. Thermador stated that I should get it serviced - no concern whatsoever that this product was costly to purchase and costly to repair. Thermador DWHD630IFM. No more products from Thermador.

Bought a new Thermador refrigerator from Ferguson’s in May 2014. This being Hawaii, had to wait for delivery. You learn patience in Hawaii, so I was ok with that. But I had to pay full price plus shipping upfront. Not too happy about that. Finally got the refrigerator installed in July 2014. Loved it. Didnt care that it was $10,000, since it worked great and ease of use. Icemaker was efficient and made plentiful ice. Then, in late October, the icemaker just stopped working. Only one repair shop would come to our side of the island (20 min drive). I had to wait a month for the appointment. Still, I have learned patience, so I waited. Repairman was great. He found that there was a factory defect - a short in the electrical wiring inside the wall of the freezer unit. Cant be repaired, so he called Thermador and told them (actually he insisted) that they needed to replace the refrigerator. He told me they would be contacting me. I wait another month. Today I get a call from Thermador (message on my phone) that they cannot replace the refrigerator, as they cannot be expected to ship it to Hawaii. WHAT?? They will give a credit for the unit to Ferguson’s. Excuse me? I paid for the refrigerator, I called for the repair. This does not bode well. Is this just another way of forcing me to pay for shipping and installation again? I dont really want to deal with Ferguson’s again, as once the sale is made, its like a personality change on the salesmen. This credit thing should be interesting..... I know Im screwed. Ah well, the refrigerator still works, as does the freezer. I just buy bags of ice at the grocery and dump them in the ice bin. A previous complainant mentioned a class action lawsuit. Im in. I anticipate a major run-around on this. Customer service is terrible and they dont back up their product. And everyone on this website paid a lot more than was needed for the appliance that has failed them.

We purchased both of these units. Thought we would not have to worry about buying appliances for awhile...wrong!! The panel on the oven, even if you are cooking, turns off... starts beeping with a code f24. Thermador is fully aware of this problem. There is also a recall. If you try using the self-clean feature, the oven can catch fire. I did an online search for this oven. There is a recall -- An 800 number is listed on line for the owner to call. This is to set up a repairman to come out. This site claims they are open to take callers 24/7. I have heard a recorded message that has said, Thank you for calling, a customer service person will be with you shortly. I have heard this message 178 times as of this minute. As for the propane cook top, with the built in BBQ, the flames are so low, I stopped using the cook top, called out a repairman. He said, No way can I increase the flame size. Cost to me -- over $9,000.00, PLUS INSTALLATION. So, if you still want to purchase anything Thermador, you have a problem...it will be on you. You have been warned.

Once with customer service, you realized they are as ignorant about their product as the previous person, they decide to send a technician who came to my house a week later and could not install the leg covers. Of course no follow up, so after several calls and long period of waiting on hold, Thermador finally said I had to buy new covers because the unit I bought was a floor model and they are not responsible for missing or wrong parts on floor models. We purchased a Thermador built-in refrigerator in 2006. Last month it stopped working and we were told the heat exchange had given out. After waiting 3 weeks for parts from Thermador, the service man found while repairing it that water had gotten into the heat exchange. When he called Thermador and spoke with Bart, he was told the only thing to do was to attempt to blow the water out with nitrogen. When the repairman said this wouldnt work, he was told there was no other option. Since neither Thermador nor the repair service will guarantee this will work for longer than a year at most, there is no point in getting it repaired. Since Thermador will do nothing about it, I can only determine to never purchase another KitchenAid or Thermador product. And of course, to tell all my friends to avoid them as well.

I purchased a 48 steam/range in 2013. I have experienced trouble with the gasket around the steam oven. While it was under warranty it was repaired several times. Each time within a short amount of time the rubber gasket came loose. Now they will not stand behind it. Earlier this year, they agreed to pay for the part but not the labor to install it. They know this is an issue. I went to Pacific Sales and looked at the new like range and the new unused one already had a loose gasket. This is very disappointing as I have close to $16,000 into the cost of this range. I am very surprised that there is no class action lawsuit regarding this problem. As I see it the oven is stainless steel and the gasket is rubber of some sort and there is no way of adhering the two together. I would not recommend this steam/oven combo!

I am an experienced baker of 35 years. We finally finished building our dream house and purchased a Thermador double oven in 2015. It has done nothing but ruin everything Ive baked. Had the service repairman out and was told I wasnt using the settings right. After using the times and settings according to the manual, baked goods turned out worse!I have wasted countless hours and ingredients trying to make something turn out right, adjusting temperatures, times, settings and rack placements. What a huge waste of money and disappointment with this oven. If I could afford to replace it, I would. No help from store we bought it from or Thermador manufacturing. Do not buy a Thermador oven. I would never recommend any products from this company after this experience. For many years, I baked in cheap ovens with great results. This $1,800 appliance has ruined my baking ability since we are now unable to replace it with something that works and unfortunately, it is built into the wall in an expensive cabinet.

I installed a 5 burner Thermador luxury optioned gas cooktop around 24 months ago. After repeated expensive repairs, scary operating issues and very poor customer support as so many here already reported, this cooktop was slightly modified and plopped into our outdoor poolside entertaining area. At least it couldnt burn anything serious down to the ground out there. Like our house.. The burner ignition problems started after a few months. Followed all the advice in the manuals and from Thermadope call center zombies; tried to arrange service calls, different techs came out several times over the ensuing months and replaced ignition modules and other parts. The appliance just kept failing to operate. After enough frustration, I bought a cheap Chinese gas cooktop that had great reviews and swapped the Thermador clunker out. No problems with cheapo cooktop at all. Ever. Before I chucked the Thermador luxury boat-anchor into the recyling bin, I thought, what the hell, I’ll try to repurpose it. First thing I did was measure the temperature inside the cooktop while a couple of burners were on for about 20 minutes. Incredibly, it was running over 150°C inside where the electronics were located! Even if Thermador used high-temperature military or space grade components, it was still WAY too hot for any electronics to survive in there very long in those conditions. I waved goodbye to any hope of salvaging a normal operating cooktop with a Frankenstein electronics transplant. So, I removed all the cooktop electronics and wiring in a few minutes with some wirecutters, plopped it into the old cooktop opening place by our pool and now use a dollar-store butane igniter to fire up my castrated ‘luxury’ Thermador cooktop. Having it by my pool makes me look a lot richer than I am! ????

Remodeled kitchen and bought new Thermador 48 dual fuel range. I really like the griddle and make pancakes every Sunday on it. However, I did not expect the oven to be so noisy. When I preheat the oven, before it reaches desired temp, the really noisy fan comes on and stays on until long after I turn off the oven. I bought quiet DW as well as a quiet washing machine. It didnt occur to me that an oven could be noisy. It is impossible to have a conversation in the kitchen vicinity or listen to the radio when the oven is on. That obnoxious fan is just too noisy. We purchased a Thermador oven 2 years ago and it hasnt been working properly from the very beginning. We have gotten gas smell coming from the oven. Thermador has either come out to fix it or sent a subcontractor to fix it now 3 times. Each time the technicians instruments register an of gas. The technicians suggestions range from altering the settings inside to replacing parts to replacing the oven door. It originally took 3 attempts to install it properly. When first being installed, the hood was attached partially to my ceiling but the installers informed me that it wasnt their job to install the exhaust hood. Why would I need to contact Thermador specifically to have the hood installed, when I obviously purchased both? Last week I noticed the gas smell again as I was cooking bacon in the oven. I took the bacon out and clearly half the bacon was cooked and the other half was very underdone. The next day was Thanksgiving and the same happened with the turkey. I took photos, one leg was still bloody and rawish looking while the other leg was completely done. Plus there was a strong gas odor so I know something wasnt igniting in the oven again. This has been going on since we purchased the oven. I called technical support and they informed me they couldnt get a repair person out until January, and its November right now. The thing has never worked properly, they have some nerve telling me they cant come out and fix it until January. So they gave me the number of the subcontractor they refer people to and I called them several days ago. I had to leave a message. The next day I received a call that my information would be sent to the technician who would call me to schedule and I have not as of yet heard back, 3 days later. I will absolutely never deal with this company again.

12 years ago we redid our kitchen and installed premium appliances including the Thermador double wall oven C302. In that time the oven has performed well but required 3 expensive service calls to replace the relay board to a tune of $500 per repair. Recently, the part needed replacing and I used Thermadors official repair company, booked on the Thermador website. The initial estimate was $646.00, dismayed but determined to repair it (after careful consideration of replacement cost), I forged on. At the end of the service call another $21.00 part was needed, another service call. $181.00 in labor costs to install a $21.00 part. Thermador Dual Supply Range - PD484GGEBS-4 burnerOur Thermador Oven stopped working (oven) due to what they called a control board short issue. Thermador has no record for this issue and we were routed to a local repair (Gourmet Appliances). This was after 4 years of use. The control board materials to replace it was about $800 and installation just over $1000.Now after 5 years after a normal cleaning mode, the oven switched to automatically release the door after cleaning and was stuck. We are really concerned over the quality of this product; a professional series product. I have saved the original control board if you wish to pursue. I also urge action against Thermador for their quality problems and lack of quality service.

I build my kitchen around Thermador appliances... I received my range in December. It kept turning off after 10 min could not use self clean etc. Tech came out to fix...but after coming 3 times with no success my place of purchase decided to replace the whole range. I received a new 60 inch range 2017 model. They dropped it off without installing the unit...so I had someone come who I paid to do install. After install I was getting a cooling fan error. I had tech come again and he arrived after his second visit. He arrived with wrong part. A week later arrived again with wrong part...then called to say he would have to come back because he wasnt able to move unit by himself. Now another appointment a week later. He arrived with a pump to lift oven but wasnt strong enough to lift it...so lucky I was there. I helped him move the oven to install cooling fan. While oven was out I asked if he can pls raise the legs in the back about an inch so unit can be flush with tile. His response was its not my job. After all this and to say its not my job was very annoying...so now he installs fan but Im still receiving same error. I called again. They are sending same the same guy out with a helper. The day of repairs I get a call saying his helper could not get out of his driveway due to snow...really...but I was able to leave house with the same area snow. Now its end of March still no oven. 4 months without an oven to use and taking my wifes taken 10 days off work for them to come and fix. Horrible service. People whatever you do stay away from Thermador. Im am now going to place of purchase and asking them to remove all Thermador stuff from my home. I will be buying Wolf and Sub-Zero. Not sure of the issues I will be having if any with them but it cant be worse than Thermador...worst customer service I have ever come across. Also I paid like 20k for this range. My old oven I believe was a Miele. Ive had for 15 years without an issue. All I can say is stay far away.

I remodeled my kitchen in July 2015. I was so excited when my Thermador Range arrived and was put into place. My daughter and I couldnt wait to use it! She started by baking cookies. She is an amazing baker. The cookies she baked in the Thermador came out very different. They were done on the outside and raw on the inside. Same thing every time she baked after that. She really thought she was losing her touch. Yesterday was Thanksgiving and I had 8 people coming for dinner. I couldnt wait to show off my new range! I put the Turkey in the oven at 11:30 on 325. At 5:30 it looked done on the outside but was raw on the inside. It was thoroughly thawed when I put it in the oven. As a matter of fact everything took twice as long to cook as it should have. After everyone went home and I was cleaning the kitchen I decided to put the self cleaning on. About 20 minutes later there was a big crash and shattered glass all over my kitchen floor!! The interior glass exploded!! I was so scared and in such shock! I started researching and realized there are so many problems with Thermador! I dont want to fix it. I just want it out of my house. I contacted an attorney and Im hoping I can give it back. I called the appliance place I bought it from and asked them to take it back. I told customer service I would purchase a Wolf and pay the difference. She laughed and said What are we supposed to do with the Thermador? Why Thermador is still in business I dont understand! I will never make a big purchase again without seeing the reviews first. I hope this saves someone else from making the big mistake I did.

I had heard from friends that the Thermador dishwasher was no good and now I understand why.... How can a company peddle this garbage?I am requesting a new dishwasher as I don’t think it’s fair to have bought this lemon that never worked from the beginning. Am being told by the supplier- Ferguson’s that we must have 3 service calls before a new replacement can be considered. With Thanksgiving on the horizon I’m already fearful that it’s going to be a disaster. I always stood by Thermador products- but if this issue doesn’t resolve soon- this will be the last time I ever purchase one of their products.

We purchased a suite of Thermador appliances when we built our new home in Autumn of 2011. This is the THIRD ignition we have had to repair. We were told not to use the self-cleaning option because it causes burnout to the ignition. We have not used it but again the ignitor will not light the convection oven, which is the large side. We bought the oven because we like to entertain and nothing is worse than having a house full of people for dinner and the oven just wont light. The store where we purchased the range says go back to Thermador. Thermador says it is not longer under warranty. Very unsatisfied to have spent such a large amount on an appliance to have it unreliable. Will never buy another Bosch product nor will I recommend to anyone.

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased all new expensive Thermador appliances in mid-2013. In mid November, 2014 the door on our dishwasher slammed down, as the hinge/spring/cable had broken. Both my husband and I were hit with the door, in trying to close the dishwasher door. Both times, resulted in our being bruised by the door!We called Thermador Customer Service (800)735-4328 for repair. We were told that the springs were on Quality Alert. Although, we had never heard from Thermador to advise us of this problem and had sent in our Product Registrations. It takes 3 weeks for repair service. The technician was unable to pull the dishwasher out and told us to call our contractor. We thought he may have been inexperienced and arranged for another technician. 3 weeks later, another technician comes out and he is also unable to remove the dishwasher.Another 3 weeks later, we now have our contractor come out to remove the dishwasher and he had absolutely no problem. The dishwasher has a rubber siding on each side of the unit and with a putty knife, he was able to easily slide the dishwasher out. Something a skilled and trained Thermador technician should be aware of and to handle. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and there is an extreme shortage of qualified technicians, with service calls all seeming to be 3 weeks. It has now been over 2 months later since the problem was reported. Again, not our problem we created, but a Thermador Quality Alert problem! Today the 3rd technician has scheduled to be at our home between 12-4pm and I receive a call from him that he wont be coming because Thermador Parts Center in North Carolina, didnt send all the needed parts! We now have to wait again and since the dishwasher is pulled out, we cant even use it. I called Thermador again to report the problem and was seeking a corporate contact to advise them, but theres no corporate contact name or e-mail address and customer service was going to e-mail them (haha). Buyer beware and be truly informed of the products youre buying and their service (or lack of) records.

I bought a Thermador refrigerator (T360T810NS) in August 2014. It cost almost $8000.00. As other reviews have stated, it is noisier than I would have liked but that was tolerable. However, in May, 2019 (less than 5 years of service), the temperature sensor for the ice maker went out and had to be replaced ($420.00). Then it was determined that it was not the problem. It would have cost me another $500 to figure out what it was so I decided not to fix it. However, my major disappointment is in the response from Thermador when I tried to contact them. The people on the telephone were nice and did provide an email address after I waited over a month to get a response from the contact email on the website and after other calls. I sent that email over a month and havent heard a word and it did not bounce back. For high end appliances, they should have better consumer service. I will not buy another Thermador product.

I have owned a Thermador oven for 5 years that came new with our apartment. Since the beginning, the door looks like it doesnt close tightly. It turns out that when the oven heats up. The door opens up even more causing the light to come on, and the heat cooks the computer. We replaced one computer for $800 and then two years later, we made the connection that it was cooking its computer as it started to fail, so we replaced the hinges ($200). That was six months ago and the door is still slightly open and cooking its own computer. The repairman came three times and tweaked something but the door is still open.

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased Thermador appliances to the tune of $18,000. I cant remember being more disappointed. The $8000 refrigerator arrived with rust on the handles. The local service contractor sent by Thermador to replace the handles scratched the panel necessitating service visits 2 and 3 within our first few weeks of ownership. Not long after the panels were replaced, the ice maker stopped working. Three additional service visits later, we still dont have ice. Weve owned the appliances for a little over two months, have had six service calls, each requiring that we give a three hour window. The ice maker has worked a grand total of about 10 days in those two months. Calls to Thermadors customer service department prove to be most unsatisfactory as they dont return promised phone calls. Who knows if well ever get ice. Im thanking my lucky stars that we purchased the retailers extended service agreement for all our appliances. I would recommend that you look elsewhere for your premium appliances as Thermadors customer service is undoubtedly not up to par for appliances in this price range.

Bought a model T48BD820NS10 side-by-side refrigerator in August, 2015, along with a full kitchen set (DW, Oven, stove). A few short months out of warranty the ice maker seized up and would not work. The entire ice maker unit, including electronics, needed to be replaced. $800 later we are EXCEEDINGLY unhappy. Repairman said “I can’t even count the number of units I’ve replaced”. Went on to say they are made by Whirlpool and if replaced in a Whirlpool unit the cost is a fraction of the Thermador. He noted that the higher priced brands cost a lot more to repair. Just the two of us using the ice maker and neither use ice in our water and we don’t drink sodas. Shame on us for buying Thermador... and never again.

The overall performance was just as expected. It performed flawlessly. With its easy to use setup it was perfect for me and my family. There wasnt single thing on there that gave problems or had you questioning. Well for we paid for it its worth every penny we put down into it. I couldnt have been any more satisfied with it than I already am. I would recommend this brand to anyone and have already recommended to everyone I know. We have the stainless steel model with the side by side oven racks and double top cooking ranges and let me just say it looks absolutely stunning in my kitchen. Very sleek and modern look that would make any kitchen look spectacular. The overall size was just perfect for what I needed. Im able to cook multiple things at the same time without crowding my cook area. That goes for the oven and the ranges. If youre like me and have a big family and love to cook great food this is what youre looking for.

Each grate on the cooktop has four rubber feet inserted in a small hole. Cleaning and general use damage these pads and cause them to either tear apart or completely fall out, leaving the grate unstable and out of balance. Thermador did replace missing pads while the stovetop was under warranty, but the poorly thought out design continues to be a recurring problem.

We bought a thermador 48 dual fuel oven 6 years ago. Every year we have had major problems and spent thousands repairing the oven to no avail. We have had the main board replaced twice, fan switches, heating elements, and a variety of other things. We have not been able to cook one holiday meal in the oven, we have had to resort to the BBQ and the toaster. It looks like this year is the same, code 43 is blinking which means I need to spend another 700$ on the oven. Thermador has been terrible to deal with, they really dont care. This time I am not spending the money to repair it. I am throwing this thing in the trash and getting a different brand. This is a terrible product made by a horrible company with third rate engineers and an insensitive work force. I can only hope that other good hardworking people dont spend their money on anything that comes from the thermador company.

Bought a full kitchen suite of commercial grade Thermador products in 2013. Got the one-two-free promotion so a great price point and other leading brands had equal pro/con review. Have had continual problems since day one; oven has been repaired 4 times for motherboard, temp dial, heating consistency, burners not igniting; freezer ice maker repaired 3 times for clogging ice buildup which shuts down the ice maker and needs to be re-set. Still clogs and quits but I have stopped calling for expensive repair visits and now turn off the freezer for 10 minutes to re-boot the ice maker every time it clogs (about every other month); refr has salad makings consistently condense and rot with water after two days.Read all the manuals, following instructions. Today needed to change out a bulb in the oven and find the lamp housing installed backwards in the very back of the oven, making it almost impossible to get a screwdriver in to pry the glass lens off (well, actually havent got this accomplished yet so maybe it is impossible). The auto-shut off for warming drawer (as part of range) has never worked. Repairman said he could replace drawer for $1,000 - think I will place a $.01 post it note on it for turn-off reminder. Products all look great - but look for other brands! I would not buy Thermador again and as an architect I have my clients look at any other brand first.

I bought a $4000 professional 36 oven/stove. The power outage just fried the circuit board. This was the only time a power outage has ever damaged anything we own. Their response was to call service department if power cycling for 15 minutes doesnt do anything. Then to talk to the power company about fixing the issue with power (like they can control weather). The part was probably $400 and the repair was for another $120-240. It could happen any time when there is a power outage.

We bought a very high end Thermador dishwasher, DWHD630GCM, about 20 months ago. Four weeks ago, its lower pan completely broke so we called their repair service. The repairman told us that its not reparable, but Thermador should replace it because the hinge is not broken and hence the pan could not have been broken by us. We called Thermador to replace this dishwasher, but they flatly refused by saying that there is no manufacturing defect in this dishwasher. It is patently absurd that the bottom pan can break by abnormal use but the corresponding hinge on the door does not break.

Instead of giving me a new fridge, they have to repair. Also, after spending $26,000 on appliances you would think that the stainless steel used would match. Thermador appliances are for sure sleek beautiful appliances. My experience with delivery, product reliability, service and customer service is/was not so good. I have purchased a dishwasher, range, range hood, and refrigerator. Ive had these appliances for about 1 month. Delivery: Three dishwashers were delivered to my home as each was damaged.Reliability: The refrigerator just flat out stopped working within 3/4 weeks. Service in my area is hard to find in my area. The appliance service from the purchaser was supposed to be wonderful, however, not so much for Thermador. Its been almost 2 weeks now, no fridge and Thanksgiving is in 5 days. Very frustrated with no callbacks and having to chase service provider. Breakage: The range door, upon moving into place, simply came off. Im unsure the motive to have it work this way, please beware. I do wish that my experiences were better, they are beautiful, however having appliances that are ready to install when delivered and in working order is much more important. Good luck.

Based on our experience, changing the one-year warranty to five years would be the only way we would recommend Thermador. You will read in my post what was under the one-year warranty, which is not sufficient. We purchased a refrigerator, stove and vent hood, dishwasher, under the counter double drawer refrigerator, and double drawer refrigerator top/freezer bottom, all purchased between 2017 - 2019. The vent hood motor, installed in 2017, has been replaced twice—one under warranty and one we just bought last week (11/2020) for $400++. The refrigerator replacement parts are drawer rollers, freezer drawer latch (not warrantied), and icemaker sensor was replaced under warranty. The double drawer refrigerator/freezer ice maker was not working when delivered in September of 2019, replaced under warranty. Currently, the dishwasher has a high pitch sound when you start it and only runs on the auto setting. All other wash settings do not run. Due to COVID, income loss, and out of warranty, we havent addressed this issue. Vent hood labels have all worn off, and if liquid splatters on the stovetop while cooking, mostly burn on the surface. Yes, a removable cover would be great, as mentioned in another post. How about one for the oven? Remember, all issues happen between 2017 and 2020; three years!

In 1993 a 30 dual fuel RDSS30 was installed in a custom home. We bought the house in 1998. Within 2 years the front panel would start to blink. This turned into the panel shutting down. We were told back then that we could not get the computer panel. My husband just happened to find a floor model of the same stove so we purchased another RDSS30 not realizing this was a chronic problem with Thermador. Within a year the computer panel would start blinking then the oven would just randomly shut off. We never even used the self clean feature being afraid the extra heat would make it worse. Now it is to the point where the number are so dim you cannot see them unless you are in the dark. The oven will not heat beyond around 300. It shuts off without warning. How can a 5 year old $5000 stove not be able to be fixed? There are outside companies that offer the service to rebuild the boards. So why cant Thermador? I will tell you why. Updated on 11/03/2020: We bought a package of appliances for our home and because of past experience (20 years ago) with Thermador we decided to go that route again. It was a huge mistake as Thermador quality and customer service are far different now. We paid about $13,000 for the range and it has not worked since being installed. Had a service appointment scheduled which was three weeks out. When the date came no one showed up and they conveniently said they showed no appointment in their records. This caused another 3 week delay. Guy finally showed up today and once again he said he had to order parts and will schedule an appointment to install the parts. We are now at 2 months without an operating range. I strongly recommend anyone looking at Thermador, Subzero or any of their products to rethink it. These people are difficult to deal with, have next to no customer support and they could care less about their companys failure to take care of its customers.Original Review: We remodeled our home and used Thermador products. We originally had a Thermador range we build home the home 22 years ago. That range was pretty problem free. We bought the same type of model as well as a subzero refrigerator and other appliances. We just moved back into our home and tried to use the ovens. They failed and are not working. Called Thermador and they said it will take 3 weeks to get anyone out. No sense of urgency and next to zero in support. I would never use their products again and will certainly never recommend them. To expect someone to wait 3 weeks is insane.

We purchased a Thermador triple oven combination (model #semw302) in 2007 when we built our home. Over the past 9 years weve had to have multiple repairs on the main oven. The door hinges have been replaced twice, the circuit board replaced once, the self cleaning function stopped working twice. Actually only worked for one self cleaning. Each time. Now we once again have to replace both the circuit board and the relay board on the oven. Great. After paying a service man $80 yesterday, we were told that Thermador has discontinued the circuit board that we need and it also needs to have the relay board replaced. Which I believe is somewhere around $225.It was suggested we try to find someone to rebuild our circuit board. Even after spending some considerable time searching the internet, I havent found anyone who can rebuild this particular circuit board. and this would probably cost over $200. Plus installation. I already have spent close to $1000 on repairs. The microwave and the warming drawer are both fine. Now it looks like we will have to throw out the whole triple combination unit since its one piece. We will NOT be looking to replace it with another Thermador. This may be the worst purchase weve ever made in 50 years of marriage. JUNK!

Bought Thermador gas oven, hood and dishwasher last December. I will never ever again buy Thermador and sister brands (Bosch, Wolf) nor will I recommend to anyone. Totally junk quality appliances. In the first week, they had to come back to service the dishwasher as all the settings were on max and melted a bunch of plastic containers. Then the oven - the paint started chipping off the burner tray. Tech came and replaced that. Then the exhaust fan in the hood started making very loud noises and the tech came again, said the fan has to be replaced (luckily under warranty) but no sign of the fan in six weeks. Called them again and again and it is backordered! For a supposedly top of the line appliances, their customer service is atrocious - very indifferent attitude. They are not allowed to make follow-up calls so you have to keep checking. By the way, their parts are outsourced as is their technical service. Pure garbage. Thermador is made by Bosch so I imagine that Thermador, Bosch and Wolf are all equally crappy. Bought the entire set up late December and still everything not functional! Unreal! Too bad in NJ there is no lemon law for pricey appliances. Sorry there is nothing less than one star in the review category.

I spent over $20,000 on Thermador Equipment, you would think they would have been somewhat concerned! Im still working on getting these handles put on but I would not recommend getting Thermador. I will never use them or Setzers again!

I have had a very disappointing experience with Thermador and apart from keeping an induction cooktop since my granite was already cut! I returned all of my other Thermador items. The dishwasher (included in a buy +2 appliance package) independently measured as high as 70dBA vs. the advertised 48dBA. The 30 micro/oven wall combination came (twice) with a misaligned oven door. It was confirmed to me, after the fact, by a Thermador customer service person that Thermador is actually shipping ovens with a known defect that supposedly has an easy fix of replacement hinges. The issue is that NO ONE seems to know this! Not the Tech nor the appliance store. So +7 hours and 3 technician visits later (with minimum of 2 weeks between visits as I as told there are ONLY 2 techs that service the entire Austin, TX metro area). I am done with Thermador. I live in fear that should I have ever have a maintenance issue with the induction cooktop I have a 50% chance of getting the technician that was rude, condescending to me, my contractor, my designer and carpenter. So let me get this straight -- THERMADOR, you want me to pay top $$$ for your appliances. Chances are they may arrive defective. No one will know how to fix them (who wants a new $5000 appliance to need to be fixed anyway?) and on yeah, have to wait +2 weeks for a technician to come into my home and insult me. It doesnt get any worse than that. Thermador if you are reading this - shame on you!!! Perhaps you need to take a page from the KitchenAid playbook on how to treat your customers that are spending a ton of money on your over-hyped products.

DO NOT BUY THERMADOR PRODUCTS!!! I bought my expensive double oven, cost $8000, 9 years ago. I have had over 18 appointments to repair it. It has cost me thousands. The electronic panel is right under the burners. Moisture constantly seeps in and shorts it out. Electronic panels cost $1100. I had to pay to have this done 3 times! Eventually I had to have a metal part designed at a sheet metal shop in Fullerton, installed to deflect the moisture and to lift it up off the bottom. I havent had a problem since. Went to clean the glass inside the oven and it shattered. I called and they said I had to buy a whole new door at a cost of $1100! Are you kidding me? I HATE MY OVEN! Now I am having NOTHING but problems with my expensive refrigerator! I have spent thousands on it as well. The list is endless: compressor out twice, heater once, ice maker three times. Rubber seal twice, it goes on and on!!! NO one cares at the customer service desk. NIGHTMARE!!!

I purchased 3 Thermador appliances in 2015 when I remodeled my first Thermador kitchen, which I LOVED. First: the new wall oven, model MED271JS, the narrowest oven they make at 27 wide, does not heat properly. It beeps that it has reached the set temp., but actually is 50 degrees (more or less) below the set temp. Baking cookies is a crap shoot as to whether they will be flat, indicating too low an oven temp. and that is what I usually get...flat cookies. I have not been able to consistently correct this problem. Roasting is also unpredictable. I have ruined many of very expensive meals due to the temp problem.I have had our local Thermador repair people out 3-4 times to address the inconsistent heating problem. They were unable to correct the issue and told me that new ovens now take longer (up to 30 minutes) to preheat an oven, and that this oven was operating as it should. Also, the oven cannot be set to start at a later time. It does have a Sabbath mode, but that has to be scheduled the day before I want to start up the oven, which for me is useless. So the oven does not heat properly and has no TIME BAKE setting. I will not purchase a Thermador product for my new house that we are building.Second: the cooktop SGSX365FS, cooks beautifully. Temps are easy to control, but cleaning is a bear. The star shaped burners make cleaning far more difficult than round ones, but the shape does cover the bottom of pots better than round ones. And the glass plate under the knobs is not sealed to the cooktop, and is not removable to clean spills that flow underneath it! Now there is thoughtful engineering. I use a pipe cleaner to sort of clean the under surface. Lastly, the micro-convection microwave-oven combination unit, model MCES, works as expected. We often use it to bake small meals and the temp is far more predictable than in the main oven... It does not bake bakery very well but that is not recommended by Thermador. My first Thermador kitchen was beautiful and fabulous to use. Current Thermador products are sorely lacking. Sad.
