I bought a Ford Transit Connect 2014. Was in the shop 3 times for its Fourth transmission. I was told that they would give me one or 2 payments goodwill. I ask Ford if they would give me a discount on a new car. They said no so when I got the POS transit back I traded it in. Now they say since I traded the car in they will not give me the payments they had promised. What a loser company. I have decided to tap into my wifes Twitter account at a large company she works with over 7000 + employees so no one else gets scammed by Ford. Good luck with dealing with them.

Issues so far. Cabin air filter, horn sticking (both fixed by warranty). Not fixed by warranty: Loud noise in door, transmission, rear hatch, rear glass. Ford refuses to honor warranty. Dealership has been unable to fix issues. I have tried to call the regional warranty person at ford for over 3 months. Left over 15 messages. Warranty position has been held by 3 different people. Not one of them has called me back. I am not out of pocket over $1k in repairs that should have been covered under warranty if ford stood by their word. The transmission is slipping badly but dealership says they can do nothing as no code is thrown. I pray that it completely goes out before warranty period is over so they might fix it. I almost forgot, there is an exhaust leak that dealership claims is not there. The transmission also leaked fluid beginning at 20k miles. Rear hatch mechanism failed twice under warranty. Now that out of warranty and failed again, they refuse to cover. Cannot open rear hatch. Rear window exploded on freeway in snowstorm. Nothing touched it.Rear defrost was not running, only the rear wiper. Computer has shut down twice now and caused all of the dummy lights to come on when driving. Problem is intermittent and I am told there is nothing that can be done. I am beyond upset and frustrated and cannot believe that I cannot even get so much as a phone call back from the warranty department of ford corporate. Going to try to blast them everywhere I can and plan to go over options with lawyer this Friday.

The rear strut bracket has rusted off, this is a safety issue common to this model. Replacement fender was $200.34, two weeks later it was $800.00. Ford said individual dealer prices for parts and service will vary. Therefore, we are unable to assist you, it must be resolved between you and the dealership. This should be a factory safety recall.

I am extremely disappointed in (2016) Ford Explorer which has failed transmission at 40,000 miles only. Worst part is, Fords so called power terrain warranty does not cover the repair and I was billed 6,000$ to repair the transmission. I wish I listened my friends and did not touch any Ford products...

The 2008 Ford Escape is the worst built car with many complaints. Ford is aware of this problem and does nothing. The engine in my 2008 Escape blew up. They knew this car was a problem for the consumer yet they refuse to help in any way. I will never buy another Ford. Consumer beware. The American people bailed out the car companies and they still cant make a decent car. The car is worthless without the engine.

Both rear springs broke on my 2003 Ford Taurus. I had to replace both rear springs and struts, plus pinch bolt sheared upon removal of struts. I had to remove the entire right rear wheel hub to remove sheared bolt. Luckily, the vehicle was stationary when broken springs were discovered. It could have been ugly if springs had broken and punctured tires while moving.

I am currently leasing a Ford Edge from Ford. In my lease, Ford is responsible for the excise tax. I pay $360.00 a month. Two weeks ago, I found out that Ford did not pay the excise tax on my truck and even worse, my plates had been expired since May 2010. I have contacted Ford back and forth and also, I have contacted the City Hall of the town where I live in and they are telling me the excise tax has not been paid while Ford is telling me it has been. So two weeks later, I am still with my truck but off the road. Also, I recently made my monthly payment to Ford but I cannot even drive my truck. I am very disappointed with the way Ford is handling things. I feel they should resolve this with City Hall because their name is on the lease and they are responsible. I just keep getting the run around from both ends because City Hall says it is not paid while Ford says it is. I just want to find out who is responsible and get it resolved as quickly as possible.

The second front spring has now broken. First it was the drivers side - now the passenger. I dont understand why the recall doesnt include the 2003 model, since they obviously have the same problem as the other ones that there has been a recall on. The mechanic said it wont be long before the rear passenger one goes too. This is a very dangerous position that we have been put in by Ford not recalling these. Who is responsible for starting a recall? This is not fair or good business.

We purchased a Ford Focus in 2013. Shortly after purchasing this car we started having transmission issues, had the clutch replaced and several other things done. We had to have the pcm/tcm reprogrammed a few times and have had a new one installed. Waiting on seals to be replaced. For the 3 years we have owned this car we have made numerous complaints to Ford and even called the corporate office for help, which does not come. We are unable to trade the car into anyone as it will not be paid off because of the transmission trouble. I just drove it for the first time since we have had the TCM replaced and I have to say this car is dangerous!Something needs to be done about this before I or my husband is killed because the car will not move. Stuttering or shuddering or whatever Ford calls it is wrong! We have been told that at least 35,000 customers are waiting for the same part!!! What is Ford going to do? This is by far the worst car we have ever owned!!! Ford needs to man up and take these cars back or pay them off so new cars can be purchased.

My 2014 Ford Explorer Limited had many issues, mostly small annoying problems that could be resolved quickly, however, Ford service is the worst on the planet, they will make you cry every time you come to see them, and I have tried 3 different dealerships here in California. So they always want to keep the car all day and almost always come back to me at around 4 pm to let me know that they are not able to duplicate the issue, even though in many cases I took a ride with their technician who verified the sound. Then they tell me that the sound I am hearing is normal. One time I lost 4 days dealing with them until they finally replaced the half shaft, now I am having same issue and same argument with them. I have now told so many people not to buy Ford and I am posting everywhere on the Internet about my experience.

I bought my 2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan (manual) in late 2013/early 2014 from Sun State Ford in Orlando FL. The car was BRAND NEW. Literally, I drove it off the lot with 7 miles on it. Fast forward to August 2016 and my transmission no longer goes into 3rd gear. I call Sun State Ford and leave a message, wait 2 days... no call back, I call again, no call back, call again next week, no call back. This process continues on for another 2-3 weeks until I finally got back from my travels abroad and decide to call them and act like a new customer. This time I do get a call back and they are more than happy to sell me a new car with their wonderful 15 year 150k mile warranty. After I get all the info I need and confirmation that drivetrain will be covered for 15 years and 150k miles, I change up the story and tell them about the car I bought and how the Finance Manager thats in charge of warranty claims like mine will not speak to me or return my calls.Fast forward 10 minutes of back and fort Q&A from Sun State Ford customer service rep and she tells me Im going to walk to the other side of our campus and have the manager call you directly, please allow me no more than 5 minutes. I oblige and thank her for her wonderful customer service and help, considering shes been the only one to ease my headache of 3 weeks now, almost a month. 5 minutes go by, 10 minutes go by, 15 mins go by, 30 mins go by. I call back, no answer. I call the customer service department... NO ANSWER! Are you ** kidding me???Now, I will be driving 1000 miles in my ** Sun State Ford in Orlando, FL from Baltimore, MD just to raise hell. At the same time I have paid my lawyer $400 to start working on my case. Good luck Ford and Sun State Ford in Orlando FL. Have fun fixing my car and paying me for it. 1/10 Service. NEVER EVER buying a car from Ford again. Also, my lawyer is set to start a class action lawsuit because apparently there are 100-400 similar issues to mine all over the US.

I will never purchase a Ford vehicle again. The customer experience I have received in exemption of maybe 2 people I spoke with has been horrible. I am selling the truck I bought through Ford privately and I was given the wrong information over and over again. FORD LOST $23,000. Advised me to resubmit the payment of $23k and ended up PROCESSING BOTH payments so we are talking about $46,000 of a problem. They have offered no solutions to the issue, at one point when I was transferred to a Payment support specialist I was told Can’t help you and the other rep asked this person why can’t you and the rep started to argue with her. Ford has repeatedly given me incorrect information, I have heard one thing from one person and another from another person, I was advised to make a double payment after my check was LOST. How does a big company like FORD loses a $23k check, oh and I must add. It is not humans that handle the money. It is computers. So if anyone is trying to mail any money to Ford, don’t, because if it gets lost, no one will be able to tell you where it is or how to find it. Really disappointed. I wish I could sue and if this isn’t fixed and my double payment of 23k goes through I will. Shame on you Ford.

I purchased a new 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid through my shared employee plan through Harley Davidson and Ford Motor Company. The car currently has 25K miles on it and I have had nothing but issues with it. The transmission went out at 20K miles. The radiator cracked at 25K. There has been faulty wiring in the seats and door panels to name a few. I wrote a letter to Ford Motor Company and they called me back with a case number and opened an investigation on their end. They never called me back when I left messages and provided no information to me on the buyback program. I was just informed today (as my car is on day 26 of being in service at the dealership) that my car does not qualify for a buyback. When I questioned as to why, she said, I dont know. Im not an attorney. Youd have to hire one.” I am so disappointed in Fords product, and horrible customer service.

We purchased our E-150 custom van 7 years ago. It has been well-maintained while we owned it. It had been parked for two days when it spontaneously caught fire. Thanks to a quick response by our local emergency services, there was little damage to our house. But the van is a total loss. It was a rude awakening to see it catch fire too. I purchased a used 2015 Ford Fusion. I understand that there are a few things I would need/want to do with the car to use the features available. The car came with one key, which has been set to the ‘MyKey’ feature. I asked to have it reset at dealership as it is the only key and I am limited on what I can do - I am locked out of some radio channels and while I might be locked down to a ‘Max Speed’, I haven’t hit it yet. Their answer - The only way YOU can do that is to buy another key - $300. (Great customer service to make me work instead of offering alternate solutions to assist me). The car does not have the owners manual, therefore I don’t have the code for the keyless entry. Their answer - Sure, $60. Never mind, thanks for trying to make me give you more money to be able to get into the car you made. There are other things I would like to do with the car, but I stopped asking afraid it would just cost too much. Very disappointing.

I called customer service on Oct. 3, 2017 and spoke to Ashley. (800) 392-3673. I was trying to find out some information about a transmission hose part # and asked who to speak to about this matter. She told me to pay for a subscription to Motor craft or go to the dealer. The dealer wants $100.00 to tell me about the hose. This is ridiculous as I just need to find out how many transmission hoses my expedition has. I am not a mechanic to even know what to look for under the hood. Ford Motor Company ignored and did not respond to our complaint about serious defect in the cruise control! We have a 2021 Ford Transit 3500 with only 2,200 miles. While cruise was set at 70 mph driving on I-5 in Late October it slowed automatically to about 40 MPH while in right lane as we were approaching a traffic slow down in both lanes. We moved into the left passing lane at about 35 MPH at that time and traffic was starting to slow down when suddenly and surprisingly the Adaptive Cruise Control accelerated violently towards a vehicle in the left lane which was stopping quickly directly in front of us. It was like we were going into warp drive on Star Trek Enterprise with another truck almost stopped right before us! It happened so fast that it seemed hitting the brakes did not slow us down or cancel the cruise control. We had a horrible collision with the truck in front of us at maybe going about 45 to 50MPH causing deployment of the front airbags. It has been so very disappointing that Ford Motor Company did not respond to my appeal on 10/29/2021 to answer our concern when I communicated with the online representative on the Ford Website. The associate I communicated with would not answer my questions or address the issue so I asked for her to forward this concern to her supervisor or manager, which she agreed to. I also called the general Manager at Damerow Ford in Beaverton Oregon and explained the situation. I had ordered the truck through them from the factory. The result was also zero help and guidance also.My auto insurance carrier did not want to address this issue saying that since the personal injury was minor it did not merit them getting involved investigating the possible defect in Fords product. We sustained back and neck injury and are still experiencing pain from the wreck 2 months ago. Also the truck is at a dealer now awaiting repairs and rebuilding. I would like to recommend that to save lives, injury and damage to property that Adaptive cruise control from Ford Motor Company be used with extreme caution until the manufacturer stops ignoring this concern and does their job to protect their customer.

Just had my Ford F150 go up in flames while parked in the driveway. Truck was last used Saturday Morning 2/7/2015 and went up in flames 2/9/2015 at approx 4 am. Woke up to a horn going off, went into my daughters room and looked out front of our house and saw flames 15 ft high. Told my wife to get the kids downstairs and evacuated them to the backyard. Called 911 and ran out front to move my other car out of the driveway. Thank god my neighbors came out and helped me put the fire out or things would of been much worse. Fire started in the Engine compartment and burned most of the hood off before we could put the fire out. Ford should take responsibility...This is a very serious problem and needs to be addressed immediately!!!

I was called and then sent a letter to pay a settlement amount of $1,403.76 on the phone and in the letter, I explained to the lady (877-231-8641 ext. **) I would have the money in a couple of weeks because my husband had just passed away. She stated this could not wait so I put off paying other bills to send the money on Sept. 19th. Well, on Sunday, Sept. 30th, they came and repossessed the vehicle, in which Ford is not open on Sundays. So, I called the lady back on Monday, Oct. 1st and asked why the vehicle was repossessed. She stated the payment had not posted. I explained that I had sent it in. She was the rudest and most hateful person I have ever spoken to at Ford. I asked her if I could talk to a supervisor and she said no. I told her I had sent the money and wanted my vehicle returned to me and she said too bad the only way was to pay Ford an additional $350.94 plus the repo fee. She would not even tell me exactly where the vehicle was. She stated it was none of my business and I did not have the right to know where my vehicle was taken. I do know the vehicle was taken to North Carolina and I live in South Carolina which is about 100 miles from me. The letter also states failure to remit the settlement amount or contact Ford may result in further collection activity, nothing about repossession which I think according to South Carolina Law, the consumer must be notified of repossession and the consumer has 20 days to pay the debt. I was not even given that courtesy. My husband worked for Ford for over 10 years and we have purchased over 15 vehicles over the years. As far as I am concerned, I will never buy another Ford as long as I live!

While driving down a 4-lane Expressway, my 2011 Ford Edge accelerator pedal stopped responding. The car did not lose all power, the accelerator just went dead. The car was idling very roughly, but when I pressed on the accelerator pedal nothing happened. There was no shoulder on the road so I had to stop in the middle of the road! I am SO lucky that no one rear-ended me before I was able to maneuver off the road. I turned off the car and waited a minute or two and turned the car back on. The accelerator was working so I headed home. The car went limp two more times before I arrived home a couple of miles down the road. The next day my husband followed me to the dealership with his emergency flashers on. My Edge went limp twice on the way to the dealership. The mechanic was familiar with the problem and diagnosed a bad Throttle Body. It was replaced for about $650.00 and the car runs fine now. This problem is common and needs to be addressed before someone is killed! I thank my lucky stars that this didnt happen on a busy interstate.

Ford Motor Company dont want business from US citizens of Puerto Rico... On November 24, 2017 at the Central Florida International Auto Show I was enjoying a great Auto Show especially looking at the Pickup trucks inside the Orlando Convention Center. Ford, Nissan and Chevy pickups were my top pick for my next purchase, the only other thing that I needed to was to test drive them. So after spending all day at the show I went outside and test drove with Nissan, Dodge and others with my Puerto Rico drivers license with no issues. But when I stop at the Ford Test drive tent I show my Puerto Rico drivers license like I did with the other 3 locations and was notify that it was no good, only US driver license. I told the lady that Puerto Rico is part of the United States but she didnt care. Last time I check Ford has dealerships in the island of Puerto Rico. As a US citizen and a US service member, I felt disappointed, disrespect... Ford Motor Company lost a customer... and hopefully many more.

I went to the Ford Credit website on January 9th to make January payment due January 7. After making payment, I checked the box to extract payments automatically on the due date heretofore, thinking that this would start in February. Apparently by checking that box, my payment was not applied to January. There is no smart feature on that site that applies the funds to the last payment due and no payment was made until February 7, skipping January. I did not notice this and on March 2, I received a robo-call stating that my account was seriously delinquent and to call Ford Credit ASAP. This came as a total surprise to me.I spoke to a very helpful rep named Windy, who read the situation clearly, but also told me that my account was reported delinquent to the credit bureaus. She understood what happened and it was obvious that I didnt check in on January 9 for any reason other than to make payment. She referred it to a supervisor. Over the next week, I spoke to 3 more reps and 2 supervisors. They told me that I should give it 30 days. Today Im at 30 days and dealt with two people this morning who were completely unsympathetic to my issue and kept reading me the rules. My contention that the system should be programmed to apply payment to the last payment due was met with deaf ears and was told that even after submitting written complaints electronically, that they must be written in pen and ink to be considered for reversal.I have invested at least 8 hours with this company to resolve an issue that was triggered by software that is programmed by them. Hence an internal Ford issue. This can easily be resolved by a company that actually values its customers. I had a similar technical issue with BMW a few years back and it was resolved efficiently and with great courtesy. Within 3 days I received a letter of reversal from them and all three credit bureaus were notified. Ford apparently has a banking arm that is way behind virtually every other I have dealt with regard to treating its customers fairly. I will continue this pursuit to clear my credit. I will never buy another Ford product again.

My husband and I went to a dealership 3 years and 1 month ago and paid $30,000 we didnt have to buy a truck for him to get to and from work in. He drives a lot for work, so we needed something tough and reliable. He takes good care of his things and always changes the oil and keeps up on regular maintenance. We have to take the truck now to get emissions done so that we can renew the tags, but cant do that because its got about 6 big issues and we will have to pay $4000.00 to get it fixed. We cant trade it in, because they dont want the piece of crap either and we cant afford more payments to start over. His last truck was a salvage title pos, but it ran without too many issues for 8 years and we only paid $2400 for it. I dont know what were going to do, but we will never buy another Ford.

I bought my Ford Five Hundred 10 years old with only 85,000 miles and am enjoying it. I wanted one when they first came out, so I was delighted when I saw this one at such a good deal. Its seat is a couple inches higher than other cars, so it is easier for me to get in and out of with my old knees, and the A/C works great, which is a must in Texas! Its an older car, so it doesnt have wi-fi technology. I might install wi-fi if I thought Id be keeping the car forever. And it has leather seats, which I really dont like -- too hot for Texas summers!

I have a 2012 Ford F350 with 59,300 miles on it. The first transmission service is due at 60,000 miles so I took it to Spradley Barr Ford in Colorado. They advised me that all I needed to do was flush the system and NOT drop the pan to change the filter, that is not needed until the next service at 120,000 miles according to them. I said I wanted the filter changed for an additional $ 120.00 or so. Good thing I did because they found a bunch of metal in the pan. They are covering it under warranty, however they have had my WORK truck for TWO MONTHS and four days now due to a back ordered part. They have told me THREE times that it will be in soon, what a bunch of crap. Ford has rebuilt transmissions in crates available but they just said Too bad. So sad for you. You can wait. Ford is useless and has no customer service in mind. Previously I had a 2002 Ford F350 diesel for fourteen years (2002-2016), I guess Ford loyalty is in the trash. The dealer even said Ford is not supporting the dealerships, WOW what a statement. If I EVER get my truck back it will be sold ASAP and off to Chevy I go. Furthermore I called their customer service line (a misnomer at best) and what does Ford do? They send you a questionnaire that asks if the call taker was polite, helpful etc... Nothing about what is going on, nor did I receive a call or Email about it - poof its just gone. Ford has lost all concept of customer service. Good riddance Ford.

Before I retired we purchased a new 2014 Ford Edge. At 32,000 miles and 3 years old we had paint bubbling on the passenger side rear door where the door skin is crimped around the door shell. I took it to our local Ford dealership and it was scheduled in the body shop for a repair. Once completed it looked great. However, being a mechanic and building and painting street rods, I feared the corrosion would return. I voiced my concerns and was told the repair was guaranteed. At 39,000 miles and less than a year I returned to the dealership with more corrosion than ever. The dealership took photos and submitted them to Ford who denied any warranty. I contacted Ford and was told it had to have rust holes to be covered. Im so picky with my vehicles. I was furious. This was the first new Ford product I have purchased only because my wife wanted it. I am a 60 year old long time GM man. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER NEW FORD PRODUCT!!!

My 2001 Mercury Sable LS had two broken coil springs in the rear and my wife was commuting with my daughter in the car. I noticed the sag and took it into the shop and told me that if I had waited any longer, she would have had an accident because the spring had corkscrewed a few inches from the inside sidewall! Ford would not cover it, even though it is a defect in metal and quality. It cost me $700 to replace rear suspension. Then my cars front tires were wearing unevenly, so I brought it to the tire shop to have it balanced and rotated. I asked the technician what he noticed and said the tires were wearing a little weird. I already knew I had a problem from there. I brought it to a reputable local front end shop and they found broken springs in the front! I called Ford to complain and they said that there was an extended customer courtesy on the front springs 10 years or 140K, but I did not qualify any longer - 80K on the car but a year too late. I said, “NHSTA says it’s a safety hazard, so I dont understand why you would not be interested in taking care of your customers and their families?” The rep. repeated the same speech and said the engineers often review these reports and could address this again in the future. So now, Im stuck with another suspension bill. This is why people leave the brand, a little help builds loyalty.

I own a small construction company, specializing in interior renovation work. I have an aging (2004) Ford Econoline 250 with over 100,000 miles. To avoid possible expensive repair work and to ensure I had a reliable vehicle, I paid a $3000.00 deposit to order on a new Transit on 2/16/15. The vehicle arrived at Paramus All American Ford the end of April. It was incorrect. The salesman who was knowledgeable and helpful tried to find the right vehicle in the area, but could not. He had inadvertently ordered the Transit with a medium roof and not the low roof I had requested. On 5/8/15, I had to reorder it and the salesman said that production had improved and that I should get it in June. In the meantime, the brakes on my current van failed and I had to spend $1,200.00 for new brakes. The van did not arrive in June and it did not arrive in July. The salesman suggested I call Ford to seek compensation. I spoke to a customer rep on 6/7 who said the van was due in this month (today in fact) and would not offer any reimbursement for the money I spent on repairs or time waiting. I spoke to a supervisor yesterday and had a similar conversation. It has been 6 MONTHS! Ford has my $3000.00 and I dont have the vehicle. I wanted to buy American and have been a loyal Ford customer. This is their customer service? Terrible. I am at my wits end.

My 2018 Ford Transit Connect Titanium car that my wife and children drive we started noticing the car having hard times to turn left or right. We discovered that the carpet floor mat keeps getting sucked underneath the dash because of the turning mechanism from the steering wheel. I’m sure this is going to be a recall that nobody’s noticed yet but it is very dangerous. If my wife God forbid was to make a turn in the carpet gets stuck in the steering mechanism it would keep it from turning the way she’s going and can cause an accident. I don’t know where to go from here. Someone please help. Thanks again.

I am very disappointed with the quality of the Ford edge car. I bought this car in Dec 2012 and it had 3 years free service and warranty. During the past 2.5 years the car has refused to start twice at crucial times and had to be sent to the workshop. I was told that the battery was faulty and it was replaced 2 times. On 1 occasion the car cooling hose burst in the middle of peak hour traffic on Sheikh Zayed road. I had to call a tow truck and sent to workshop. I got the car additional 2 years 20k km free servicing by paying over AED 3000 however as soon as the 60k km warranty was over the car started to miss engine beats and stopped in mid traffic many times. Again at the workshop I was billed for AED 1320 for labour and replacement of spark plugs and catalytic cleaning. Now the workshop has informed me that the battery needs to be replaced again 3rd time and I will have to pay for this. Any other competitors car would not have given me so much problem seeing that till date it is driven locally in Dubai only 68k km and is 2.5 years old. Very poor quality not expected from FORD.

Brought car to Elk Grove Ford (purchase dealer) for mileage issue. Dealer stated car obtains 37 mpg. Actual combination mileage 22 to 23. Advertised 22 city, 28 combination, 37 highway July 2014. October 2014 called for, obtained case # **. Deliver car Auburn Ford in California. Dealer stated car obtains 30 mpg. Actual combination mileage 23. After picking up the car, up to 25 combination has dropped to 20 mpg. Freeway best 27 mpg. This calculating actual from odometer and figuring mileage at the gas pump, not on board computer. Called back customer service. Told Ford does not resolve issues, the dealer does. Explained difficulty with local dealers (dealers stated no issues with car). Told that is my only option. Called back to Ford customer service. Operator forwarded to manager. I was told I would have to speak to a senior manager. There would be a call back within 48 hrs. Call back same day. I couldnt answer at that time. I called back right away. LVM. Received call back the next day. Senior manager stated FoMoCo does not provide estimated gas mileage, the EPA does. Ford just puts that information on the sales sticker. I attempted to explain I did not want to hear excuses. I need some assistance with the gas mileage issue. He stated I was not listening to him. I attempted numerous times to ask him what he wanted me to do. At this time, he stated I was not listening to him. I became angry and attempted to obtain his instructions. Requested a different dealer. He agreed but still stated I was not listening. I explained the cars mileage situation numerous times. Requested his assistance. He declined to provide any information to me. I attempted one last time. He stated he would not provide information, stating he would refer me to his manager within 48 hrs. The 48 hrs. have passed and no call back. During the conversation, I mentioned in my opinion the car is too heavy for the 1.6 Ecoboost engines torque rating. He agreed the engine is working too hard to be efficient in this size of car. He also agreed the on-board computer is not the most accurate. But dealers equipment is accurate. I explained I understood the mileage will be less than the rated in real life. The car has never reached even 30 mpg on the freeway, 9-hour drive travel. The rated city mileage is 22 mpg. The cars actual mileage is 20 mpg combination freeway and city. He only stated the estimated mpg is provided by the government, not by Ford.

Soon after purchasing a 2010 Ford Fusion... I noticed the interior had broken seat parts and each time I attempted to put it on it wouldnt fit. The tires needed rotating... There was no bulb light when backing out. The sales person said he would order the bulb... never got one. The ignition sometimes keeps going when I turn the key... The gas hand sometimes doesnt move. My minimum down payment was $600, salesman asked for $1000 and for me to not tell anyone. My payments I was told $300 monthly. I pay $389, I cannot afford to make repairs... and car payments. Went to several dealerships about trade options... and all three said I got screwed. Car might bring $5,000-$6,000. I owe over $15,000. I appreciate the Lender giving me an opportunity to re-establish my credit. And I have also hired Lexington Law Firm for assistance. I only ask that I be given a trade option. This has been and is very stressful.

I bought a 2005 Ford F-150 for my husband, Aaron **, as a coming home prese
I bought a 2005 Ford F-150 for my husband, Aaron **, as a coming home present from Iraq. We taped a huge red ribbon around it and waited for the Army to move the buses so he could see it. Just to have that very present take his life. He was 22 years old, with a 3-year old child, and the truck took his life. Not Iraq or terrorism, but here at home by one of the most trusted American names we have. It is believed and documented by the Criminal Investigative Division over Fort Hood that his death is indeterminable, but stemmed from a fire in the front engine compartment. Aaron parted ways in the early evening hours of September 10, 2008 from a 30-day field training mission to head home for relaxation. He walked in the door, cracked a 16oz Natural Ice and headed straight for the toilet. No less than 5 minutes he was talking to me, reiterating the day before him and letting his stresses unfold like duty does at this hour. I failed to remember that this would be our last conversation and completely failed to put all my trust in him. Instead of telling him I loved him, I told him we would be divorcing. That the stresses he held onto were quickly becoming mine and with that, he threw his ring, jumped up from the toilet and headed to bed. Neither of us knew that the fire would seriously sever that conversation. When I woke the following morning, I decided to not call him. He had been in training for the previous 45 days and I thought with the heavy sentence I laid on him, he might need a day to go fishing. I was to attend his only sisters wedding, since he could not. His redeployment date was nearing and he was to stay within 150 miles of Ft. Hood. The 11th went on like no one was watching. No one in the **s home was worried about anything, but football scores. I too was not. I did not know Aaron had taken his last breath, in our own home, with all that military training. No, I was the last one who believed Aaron was not breathing. I made a few mistakes in my lifetime, but this certainly was the largest. Army life, army strife, together forever, it is our life. 4 years have passed. Nothing has been the way it was the day before Sept. 11, 2008. It is more like a divorce that I had wanted at 24 years old. Who knows what divorce really is at that age? But now I battle my in-laws over our only daughter. I have rarely seen reality bite until I envision why Ford caused that fire in Aarons truck. I lost the battle in them. I lost my daughter to my in-laws and I lost Aaron. My heart grieves for Taylor, our daughter. She suffers without her father and her mother. I only wish I had words to describe the catastrophe Ford caused my family. But one day it will matter and all will see. My ambitions to become an attorney purposefully to convict Ford and all that they are capable of as an American motor company will guide me for the rest of my life. I ask God for mercy upon Ford - its creators and its will.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed I am with Ford! This is my second bout with Ford... This time, I am just in awe of the treatment I am receiving. I will try to make this long story as short as possible. On 9/25, I was traveling from Stockbridge, GA back home to Winston Salem, NC. Once I got to Boiling Springs, SC, on my display- a message came up Low Oil pressure...my car started slowing down and making a weird noise- so I got off at the next exit and called Ford Roadside Assistance. The lady I spoke to first quoted me $361 to have my car towed from Boiling Springs, SC to Charlotte, NC; I told her Id call right back because Id have to make sure I would have transportation from Charlotte to Winston Salem. She said ok, she would document and someone would help me when I called.I call back- go through the entire story again about driving from GA, message, etc....I get quoted $569!!!! I tell THIS lady, that is NOT what I was literally just quoted 10 minutes ago on the phone. She puts me on hold, comes back asks me what location, blah, blah, blah- I tell her- she puts me on hold, comes back and says she cannot get this lady to understand what she is saying, Im like, That is not my problem- I am telling you what she told me and its not fair to me that she quoted me one price and you want to charge me an additional $200 more. She talks to her supervisor---she will NOT waive the $200! (Oh, I havent gotten to the best part).I wait 4 hours for a tow to come get me!!!! After the tow comes, the dealership gates are closed. I have to leave my car on the outside of the dealership with a note in the car. I go through the fence to put my keys in the lock box. I call the next morning. Now present: whats wrong with my 2019 Ford Ecosport--the engine and turbo. It only has 76K miles on it...I asked last week for a loaner because I work FT. They said they did not have any loaners.I called again 10/4 and I was told they did not. - My question was: Can you not contact the other dealerships in Charlotte, but I guess that would be too easy. I ask for Corporates number and Im told they can rent me a car from Enterprise BUT under the service plan they will only pay $35/day, I will have to pay $10/day AND I have to come to Charlotte to get the car--how the heck can I come get the car if you have my only mode of transportation? The customer care person I spoke with on 10/4 said she was escalating my issue and someone would contact me within in hour....this was at 12:43pm...I havent heard a peep from anyone.I have posted on my FB, Yelp, and Fords website. Someone from Fords Social Media contacted me via FB inquiring my case # and most preferred contact. I provided it and then he (Rick) said he saw where my case had been escalated and someone would be in touch. I still have not heard from anyone about the status of my car (which has been a week and 1/2 now) or anything about a rental! I dont know if this is sexual discrimination (because I am a female). They feel they can take advantage and run over me, but I am extremely upset and feel I am being treated unfairly. I also have found evidence on the internet that the issues with my car maybe a recall issue and I should not have to pay the deductible, but am sure because of the way this is going, they will attempt to strong arm me. I need assistance- PLEASE!!!!

My vehicle lost power coming off one of the biggest bridge in rush hour. My family was with me in the car when it lost full power. We almost had a car slam into the back of us. The car has 41000 miles on the vehicle with a 65000 mile warranty. The car was in the shop for a complete overhaul on the transmission. This took over 30 days to repair. I received the vehicle back only to find out the issue was not resolved. I then returned with the vehicle to be repaired. They performed another overhaul on the transmission. The vehicle is still not fixed and this time it’s been almost 2 months. My ** case manager is Michelle **. Regional Customer Service Person. She told me the vehicle will not qualify for a buyback because I’m a secondary owner. I have to stay on top of this person consistently to find out the updates on the vehicle. This is a common issue with the Ford Edge vehicles. She can’t give me a time frame of when the vehicle will be returned or the status on the current issue. I have continued to make the payments on the vehicle. Michelle hasn’t made any attempt to accommodate me even after asking. This is my first Ford vehicle and I will tell you this was a mistake doing business with Ford.

As if this 2020 hasn’t been awful enough, Lincoln/Ford has now been doing their part to bury what little is left of the year. I’ve been trying for nearly 4 months to get into another Lincoln, which would be my 4th consecutive Lincoln/Ford, but I’ve had nothing nightmare-after-nightmare unfold. I’ve actively reached out to the dealer and the individual that I have purchased my current lease through and either haven’t gotten responses or have been getting sky-high pricing. I’ve reached out to at least 20 dealers across the states of NY/NJ/PA and I’ve been met with ridiculous/oppressive pricing and dealers not willing to even discuss pricing. I have the GM of Causeway Lincoln, Dave ** telling me he won’t even talk to me (and this is the first time I’ve reached out to them, so not like there is a bad history). Imagine this lunacy when trying to give people business? Now Lincoln is telling me that if I don’t get another vehicle, which I’ve been trying to do for months, that I will be penalized many hundreds of dollars. This is how they treat the loyalty that I’ve given, the money that I’ve spent, and the referrals that I’ve brought them. They’ve told me to buy more or get penalized. This has not only soured my time with the dealers, but with the brand as a whole. Clearly they have gone into the business of confiscation, not customer service.

My 2015 Ford Taurus was not completely shutting off after I turned off my car. The car was staying in accessory mode. I took it in for service and they said they could not find anything wrong. They told me I had to replace the battery. Diagnosis was a bad cell. I bought this car as a certified pre-owned and they replaced the battery before I bought the vehicle, they put the lowest-priced battery in the car. The date stamp on the battery was 4/2017, and another sticker that said 3/36 meaning 3 years or 36,000 miles. I assumed that 3/36 was on the battery but apparently that is for the car warranty. Per Ford Customer Relations and the dealership, the date stamp means nothing and the battery would not be covered. Just keep this in mind if you experience this same problem. They offered me two different batteries, both were way overpriced compared to an auto parts store. You are better off saving a trip to the dealer and paying a deductible ($100.00 for me) and just go to your local auto parts store, get a battery that they will warranty!

Ford finds fraud to be an appropriate means of snaking customers. According to their marketing department (Connor), this is a typical practice. They hire a 3rd party company to get information so that ford can send emails about “deals”. My father received an email that stated he could save $3500 on a new truck. He went to Woltz and Wind Ford to take a look and was set to buy until his salesman noticed something. His so called offer email was attached to someone else’s address. Mind you he’s lived in the same place for 45 years. How is it that a “marketing” company could screw up something so blatant? Then when you contact marketing they tell you that they have no ability to correct the problem. Here’s where the fraud accusation comes in.Dealers are still willing to submit the paperwork with the numbers for the “so-called rebate”. So customers, like my dad would be turned down for the $3500 rebate. I don’t know about the rest of the world but that’s a lot of money. They’re fraudulently using “buyer’s” emails attached to an unknown address to entrap the “buyer” into a contract that they would be stuck with. A rebate email never geared to work. Hopefully others would not be duped by their “snake-like” behavior. Make sure you ask questions! I’m leaving this review Bc I made the phone calls to Ford. I wasted hours on hold for every Ford representative that I spoke with to tell me that they are INCAPABLE of correcting the issue.

The 2016 Ford Fiesta is a great first car for my twenty year old daughter. It is dependable, and I love the color and the shiny blue really stands out. I bought it new from a Ford dealership and they were amazing and answered all of our questions. My daughter fell in love with the car at the dealership and I felt she would be safe driving it. I also purchased a bumper to bumper warranty and I have never had to use it even once. I really love the car. However, it doesnt have much power to get up and go. The only thing that could make it better is if it had a built in GPS and if the price was cheaper.

My mom bought a 2016 Explorer and the car was sold as new and no accidents. Well she washed the car last month and paint chipped off the front fender a big chunk of paint. My mom has had no accidents and keeps the car in the carport. She calls Ford and tries to use the warranty but Ford doesnt call her back for 3 days. She had to call them for them to tell her the car had been in a wreck previous. So she calls another number for corporate and the woman starts out with an attitude and implies she wrecked the car and is trying to get over on FORD. My mom dont have to get over on Ford. She just wants what she paid for when buying a new car. She bought the car in Florida where I was living at the time at BARTOW FORD.The car was damaged during shipping and then was treated like she has to scam Ford to get her car fixed. My mom had the lady of the corporate office on speaker phone and the lady flat out told her it is her job to turn people down and not approve claims cause that cost Ford. Well I am the one that got my mom interested in Ford by me buying an Explorer and then I bought myself a 2015 Lariat and then my mom bought hers and was ripped off. Well my family has spent over a 100 thousand dollars and for the ignorance of that lady to tell us her job is to turn people down from their warranty. Well Im here to tell people not to buy a Ford so people like her cant have a job. If enough people quit buying their product then they have to thin the ignorant people of Ford.Needless to say my mom had to pay out of pocket to get her car fixed and they discovered that there was more damage done than what we was seeing and thanks to whoever covered this up it cost my family money and to be disrespected by a lady behind a desk that dont know ** about my mom and accuse her of trying to scam Ford. I did like your products. This was the first time we owned Ford. My family was always a Chevrolet family. Guess what? We will be getting rid of all of our Fords.

I volunteered to take any of their families for a drive in my piece of crap car, but no one accepted the offer. Wonder why. Cannot wait to pay this pathetic vehicle down enough to trade it in. Ford is the most disappointing company I have ever had to deal with and will never make that mistake again. Not that I really expect anyone from Ford to read this. Case **. Pathetic cars and customer service.

First Ford Truck and within 5k miles, check engine light comes on. It goes on and off, cant be reproduced and now at 20k miles, it has been in the shop for 3+ weeks 2 different times waiting to be fixed. The first time, dealer could not reproduce the problem after 3 weeks and within 2 days of me getting it back, the light came back on. Now, it has been at a different dealer for 2 + weeks and while they diagnosed it, they have too many vehicles in front of mine to look at it sooner than another 1.5 weeks. No loaners available. Have to leave it at the dealer or I lose my place in line. Terrible customer service. Big let down - will be looking to trade this FORD Junk in for a different brand once they ever get it fixed.UPDATE ON 09/26/2018: Overall, when I purchase a new vehicle for 36+k, I do not expect it to have engine problems. After leaving the truck at the Ford Dealer for 4+ weeks, it was finally completed. I spent a fair amount of time explaining to their Service Manager all of the hassles I have had with this brand new truck. The dealers Ford Rep agreed to offer a Premium Extended Warranty to restore some good will. Having Ford offer a Premium Extended Warranty for the “hassle” is not really going above and beyond to help customers. It is expected at the very least. After calling into Ford Customer Service and getting someone that basically reads from a ‘script’ and does not really care about the customer, my confidence in Ford’s customer service is completely gone. In addition, there is hardly any management of dealers and how they provide customer service on new Ford vehicles. Not impressed. In fact, while this was going on with my Ford Truck, my Chevy Traverse Check Engine light came on. I took it to the Chevy Dealer we normally go to and the customer service was stellar, it was night and day difference between the Ford Dealer. I get each Dealer needs to determine how they go to market and serve their customers, but, Ford does not seem to care as long as people buy their vehicle.

The automobile is a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria Police Intercepter with a 4.6 liter engine with aluminum heads. While traveling down a very long hill at 60 mph, I heard an explosion and then a much louder engine noise. Upon investigation, found a spark plug sitting on top the engine and coil broken completely from the mounting screw. I began a massive rabbit trail into the cause of the failure and the various repair methods. It appears this is a universal failure due to a faulty engineering design that resulted in only a few aluminum threads holding in a steel spark plug. The aluminum is over stressed and fractures from the enormous repetitive shock on the scant threads that hold back all the pressure cycles. I believe that the cover up goes all the way back to the first year or two. The dealership mechanics must be ordered to claim they have never heard of this problem, because all the non-dealer mechanics all know about it. Hundreds, if not thousands of victims to this dangerous design flaw are suddenly stranded or left in life threatening situations such as an engine on fire, stuck in the winter or desert heat. The factory requires a head replacement. There are cheap tap and helo type springs to make a temporary repair, but a kit such as Calvan 38900 or an ATD 5400 Triton kit for $250 can possibly make a semi permanent repair, if you have air tools, cylinder blow out and inspection tools, and know how to lower the cylinder and close the valves before the procedure. So I got a chase tap, it cleaned the threads but the spark plugs still will not go into the engine head. Since this is an enormous problem for consumer and for Ford, a compromise should be for the Ford Manufacturing Company to at least pay for the job to remove all the plugs, install the ATD 5401s in each cylinder professionally, after first blowing all the shavings out of the cylinder after the drilling and tapping the new oversize threads. I personally am older and in disability and am in a bad situation. Do I invest in the tools and kit ($800 or so) or do I just look for a Toyota or other quality car to replace the Ford junk? In any case, Ford Motor Company should recall all the aluminum blocks with this serious defect. They had full knowledge and could have recalled within a couple of years, but instead chose to cover it up. Now we the people are supposed to foot the bill? Replace my heads with ones that cant blow out spark plugs or replace the engine with steel heads.

I bought 2013 Vista car in Oct. 2015. 25,000 miles, it lasted 1 yr. One yr. later 10-20-2016 took Manteca Ford service, told me it needs a clutch. No car 6 days. Oct. 20 back in shop, Dec. 20, back in shop. March 16, back in shop. March 20 back in shop, they said throttle $100.00. March 22 back in the shop. March 28 back in the shop. Picked car up March 31 2017, told me needed a new battery. Didnt want them to put battery. This is the same problem, I had in Oct., Dec., March. Engine light came on while driving. Vehicle began making a thrashing type noise and losing speed. I had to drive home with my emergency lights on. Real slow. I will never buy a Ford car again. Service dept. dont know what theyre doing. I bought the car with 2,000 miles and they said is considered as new. I had the same problem as everyone here. During the past four years, I have taken it to the dealer 4 times for the transmission clutch. The last time they said there was another piece that needed to be replaced, so the transmission does not fail anymore but that piece was not cover by the warranty. I paid about $300. Looks like the warranty will be covered by piece. I dont understand. Right now is the fifth time my car is at the dealer and I hope they dont come with the same story. In 2016, we purchased a Ford Focus (with the dreaded automatic dual clutch) with ~35,000 miles. We paid extra for a 100,000 mile extended warranty. Within the first few months of owning it, it started shuddering. We took it in and they suggested we use an aftermarket air filter (green filter). We did so, and the shuddering was reduced.Five years later, the car has 67,000 miles on it and it started shifting pretty hard and the shuddering was more pronounced. We took it in and I told them I suspected the TCM was bad (which was still under warranty). They told me I was wrong and it was the clutch (which of course, isnt under warranty). I said that didnt sound right because the clutch was rated for 100,000 miles... So either the TCM was bad, the TCM caused the transmission to shift improperly, which caused the clutch to wear out prematurely, or it was a defective clutch. We went back and forth and they ENSURED me that it was the clutch. $1,600 and a new clutch later, they call me back and tell me Actually, I guess it IS the TCM. When I asked about a refund for the clutch, they told me to pound sand. The car has now been in the shop waiting on a warranty repair for the TCM for over four months. We call weekly for an update and there is still no expected completion date. They said it could be as long as a year. We just want to get it repaired and sell the piece of crap so we dont ever have to deal with this headache again.

What kind of crap is this? In a bad neighborhood, no AC since the car is down and no one seems to know why we don’t receive calls or text messages or why we haven’t been assisted. What’s the point of calling it Roadside Assistance. You’re assisting me to stay on the side of the road??? You don’t need anymore bologna, cause Ford you’re full of it already. Defective Sunroof issue in 2015-2017 models - Warranty expired & about 2 month after that I left my vehicle out & it rained heavily. I found water dripping near the framework on the passenger side, between the windshield & door. The floor mat was full of water. I dumped it out - tried to dry out the carpet. It was so saturated I couldnt get it all out. Then when driving it I actually heard swooshing sounds when I came to stops. Meanwhile I thought it was some fluke or the bad rainstorm. Then when we washed @ the Morries Ford car wash, we noticed it again. So we looked online & sure enough there were many others who reported the same or similar issues. Meanwhile mold had developed & Morries said I did have the defective part/sunroof. Filed a claim & the best Ford will do is only cover Half the cost to replace their defective sunroof. I am going to file a complaint with our Atty. General. I paid once for this feature when I bought it brand new. I should not have to pay for it again due to it being a defective sunroof. Morries tried cover up this issue also when I first reported it to them. Lying to me saying someone vandalized my vehicle by removing all the weather stripping on the roof. Theres not any on the roof on any of the Ford trucks where this service advisor tried to point out. Very disgusted.

Purchased 2012 F450 in January 2013, $53,000.00. I purchased an additional warranty that covered motor parts only 200,000 mile warranty. I have a hot shot business and needed a dependable truck. Running a lot of miles, keeping maintain 61,000 miles the air conditioning stopped working, I contacted Ford, due to miles, air conditioning was not covered, $693.00 out of pocket costs.3 days after the air compressor repair, the Truck started making a loud noise. It was the Turbo, Ford had my truck for over 1 month for repair, I lost my business. I parked the Truck to sell, after 5 months no sell, started business 1/14/14, under 15,000 miles later on 2/25/14 air compressor locked up. 2/27/14 Truck started making a loud noise, pulled over waited until the next morning for Ford repair to open. 2/28/14 confirmed Turbo problem, they were too busy and we needed to return Monday 3/3/14 1000 miles away from home, additional hotel costs, delivery costs and had to cancel all of our other jobs that we had scheduled. I had to hire another company to finish my delivery at a high cost. 3/3/14, Was told by Ford the Turbo would be repaired in 3 days. They gave us a rental car to return home, the car covered 2 days, 1200 miles to get home. 3/4/14 Ford called to see if rental car had been returned yet, and to let me know that some sensors burn would needed be replaced, out of pocket charge of $392.00. When we returned the car, they tried to charge us $146.00 because we were over the 1200 miles. We calculated for them we did not go over 1000 miles. 2/28/14, I opened a case with Ford, was called back on 3/5/14 and was told they would get us a airplane ticket to return for the truck after the repairs were complete. I explained about our losses, was told they could not help with any of that. I stated that I felt I should consult with an attorney and was told that this person could no longer speak to me and the call was ended. 3/12/14 no contact from Ford, I am losing business again, and there is nothing I can do? I have consulted with 3 attorneys. This is not something they can help with? I am being wronged, I spent $53,000.00 for dependable Truck I thought, now I am losing money every day that truck is not running. I have a Hugh Truck payment each month and a large Insurance payment, and Ford cannot help me. I am losing my business again. I need some help PLEASE, the truck was supposed to have the air compressor replaced 3/3/14 in Florida. It was a faulty air compressor.

It has good mileage and acceleration, too. I like the dual heat control in the front. Dual climate control has stopped a lot of fights. :-) It has been very dependable. I like the radio controls on the wheel. However, the rear has air but not heat and that is stupid. The AC is on all the time unless you manually shut it off. I was driving home from Wal-Mart, which is about a 20 minute drive. I am not sure what happened, as I must have blacked out, or blocked it out, but I woke up flipping over and over, and found out it was in a field. Witnesses claimed the car flipped 12 times, before landing on the roof of the car. All the windows, besides one I believe, were knocked out, and there werent airbags. I have an artificial hip, due to another wreck, where I was a passenger. I was trying to get the seat belt off, as I was scared something else would happen if I didnt get out, but it was stuck. Finally, a gentleman showed up. He had to crawl down under me, to cut the belt, and get me out, without causing more problems. The first thing I heard the policeman say was the bags did not go off, then I heard the same thing next day, when I went to pick up whatever was left. A prescription was lost or stolen. We looked everywhere, and my Tom Tom, which was in the glove box was gone. I went by ambulance to the hospital. They took an x-ray of my chest and neck, and did some CT scans to check my back. As of now, I have bruises and abrasions, but I can barely walk without crutches. The same side of my hip was replaced in 1994. My back has a large bruise, and it hurts real bad to move, cough, etc. I did not have comp or collision, as I was told, when a car is over 20 years old, they dont need it.The car is completely totaled. The roof was crushed like a v right down the middle. The medic said if my head or the v had been an inch or so closer, I would not be here. If there are this many complaints, why hasnt Ford done something about it? I was shocked. I was supposed to be on federal jury tomorrow. I had to call and cancel that. Currently, all I can do is lay in bed or on the couch, with heating pads and pain medications. I may have to call my orthopedic doctor, if I dont get any better. But my husband has been out of work taking care of me. He went back today, and the my doctor is in Charleston, about 2 hours and some minutes from where we are. He cant afford to take off constantly.

This is about Lugoff Ford and what has happened with Ford Corporate. Low levels of integrity especially when faced with legal grey areas. Spot deliveries should be removed as they do nothing but help the dealer and put the potential owners in a precarious position if the unapproved financing falls through. A disabled veteran, who has never purchased a new truck finally decides to make the leap, a dealership who on the surface seems amazing to deal with. One spot delivery and failed financing deal two days later, and the honeymoon is short lived. Out of town and unable to review new documentation I requested the dealer to pick up its truck as financing had failed, it was their truck, and I couldnt give a yes or no until the paperwork was reviewed. Unfortunately for both parties, a drunk driver drove through my yard before my return, and broke the frame of this brand new truck. Putting on a wonderful front, attempting to help (at least on the surface), it seemed all was well. The insurance questioned who owned the truck, because documentation was never signed, and the fun began. On the verge of harassment the dealership went so far as to say they would drive to wherever I was located to get me to sign the documentation, because, in their eyes, why wouldnt I sign the documents I never had a chance to go over. They went so far as to say that the approving credit union knew the truck was wrecked, and that it was deemed OK. A quick phone call to a branch manager proved that the dealership was lying and never disclosed the accident, as a result, the credit union started that neither I or they had financial responsibility to the new truck. The dealer then took the stance that regardless, I owned the truck, and it was my responsibility, and I was on my own. Calls left unanswered, phone calls never returned, and a GM who wouldnt make contact, in stepped lawyers on both sides.  A month later and the issue is unresolved, the dealer refuses to be amicable, and now they have gone so far as to push my personally identifiable information to ANOTHER creditor, obtain an approval without my permission or signature, and expect me to make a payment on a truck I have yet to sign for by the 7th of January. As a disabled veteran, this is heartbreaking to be apart of, it has put me back in therapy. We have approached the VA and Prisma Health (my wifes place of employment) about publishing our story in their newsletter, as it obvious the only thing this dealer understands or respects is the bottom line. I will also be contacting, if approved, all local news outlets that are willing to listen, as this needs to be out in the open. I wonder how many lost customers this issue will cause? And for what? A truck? With so many Ford dealerships to choose from, Lugoff Ford (and by virtue the whole family of dealerships IE Lugoff Toyota, Carolina Dodge, etc.) needs to understand the repercussions of taking advantage of its disabled veterans and hospital workers.

In 2012, we had 3 coils replaced. Later that year, one of those coils had to be replaced again, this time at Fords expense. In 2015, we started having the same problems. Now, a month or so later, we are having the same problems. What I want to know is...why did Ford issue a temporary extended warranty yet continue to put the same defective coils in the cars? Ive checked online and see others are having the same problems. Can someone tell me why Ford is NOT fixing the problem? We are loyal Ford owners but this is pushing us away from Ford. I do not expect a reply to this. I think Ford no longer cares about these issues unless someone is killed due to their faulty equipment and parts.

I’m a long time Ford owner. In July, 2017 the electronic power steering on my 2013 Mustang GT which had less than 40K miles, malfunctioned which in turn resulted in the loss of traction control, ABS and other electronic assist functions. After being informed that my warranty was expire, I was quoted over $2.2K. Annoyed that a low mileage car which was less than 4 years old could have an issue like this, I chose to drive it without power steering.Fast forward to January 2018, I brought the car to the dealership for an oil change which happened to lose all steering function while in their possession. The dealership explained that the car was a ticking time bomb and that I should be grateful that the steering didn’t go out while I was on the road. I was blown away because they never informed me that I would lose all steering in the original diagnosis 6 months earlier. I contacted Ford Consumer Affairs and they just filed it away and don’t want to acknowledge the issue due to the potential liability it can face for selling cars with faulty steering that are likely to fail on the road. Ford’s power steering issues are well-known, but the associated catastrophic steering failure is not. Basically, if you drive a Ford product and the power steering goes out, you are driving a death trap.

This “car” (Ford Escape 2014) is the perfect example of why I’ll never own another Ford for as long as I can still drive. Major recalls (this one’s the special one that had engine overheating issues that would cause it to essentially meltdown). I had that issue 2 days after pulling off the lot, brand new. Most expensive thing I own outside of a home. It took 3 wks for that issue, and 2 days after, had a failure of the Sync system (that still never works as it should). At that time, I offered to spend more $ to upgrade to the model w/out the issues, and was told Ford can’t do that nor could they work with the dealer. All told, this car has had something on the order of 15 recalls. I paid for the extended warranty, and at 1000 miles over the 50K, the turbo and coolant system failed (related to early overheating issues) locking the entire car up. Called for roadside, was notified that my warranty was expired, no roadside, no warranty. Spent hours (literally 10+ over 4 days) begging for some sort of help. Ultimately, just told the dealer to proceed w/ the repair, planning to continue revisiting W/ Ford for some sort of help. Dealer called to say there were no parts in stock, and best case was 3 months!! That’s no joke! And no offer of help with a rental. Customer service means doing the right thing for the customer, and that doesn’t mean making that customer beg for assistance. Ultimately, after spending all the time, they covered it. Fast forward to today - at 56K, the transmission just popped up alerting me that it has failed and should be serviced immediately. So, I’m back on the phone w/ Ford and fully expecting pushback. Never ever again.

On 12/1/2013, I started my car (2008 Ford Fusion) and it sounded & seemed normal. However, after driving less than 2 miles, my engine suddenly decelerated and the RPMs dropped dramatically. I tried to accelerate and it would not increase speed. I was able to get off the road safely. I had to have my car towed. The mechanic determined that the problem was due to a faulty power train control module which impacts the ignition coils and the estimated cost of repair is $2100! One of my ignition coils was melted. Ford has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (which suggests replacing the power train control module & all 6 ignition coils) on this issue; however, they do not deem this a safety issue! Cars that just stop running or decelerate quickly is most definitely a safety issue. I can think of many scenarios where this issue could cause injury or perhaps even death. Had I been on a freeway or driving at a greater speed where there was more traffic, I could certainly have ended up in an accident with another vehicle. I researched this concern and found that I am not alone and there have many others affected by the same exact situation. Ford is of the opinion that this should be the responsibility of the car owner and they do not hold themselves accountable. I understand how warranties work and I realize that cars age. However, this issue has nothing to do with wear and tear or age. This is a faulty piece of equipment that is causing a safety issue when it hampers a vehicles ability to continue in a forward motion at a normal rate of speed. Ford Motor Company should issue a safety recall...not just a technical service bulletin.

While shopping for a vehicle at Viva Ford North Desert Blvd, El Paso TX, I experienced a total lack of integrity by a salesman and management. The salesman I corresponded with was nice at first as we discussed my purchasing a used vehicle. The vehicle had a knocking noise in the rear but the salesman said the shop mechanics would find out what it was and let me know. I then agreed to purchase the vehicle for $11K contingent on the noise being fixed. They wrote up the deal with all the costs. I explained I would be out of town for a week and wanted to put money down to lock in the sale. The salesman said management would not allow me to put money down on the vehicle until they fixed the noise, but assured me the vehicle is yours and that they would keep it off the sales lot. After continuing to refuse to take a down payment they would only allow me to take picture of the write up, all while assuring me they would not sell the vehicle and that we had a deal. During the week that I was out of town the salesman called to let me know the noise was fixed. I asked him how much I could put down on the vehicle, to which he responded he had to ask his manager, but would call me back. After two days went by with no return call, I called the salesman with no answer so I left a voicemail asking him to return my call. He never returned this call either. After returning to town I went directly to the dealership from the plane to pick up the vehicle. The salesman informed me that he was called out of town for a family emergency and the vehicle was sold. I responded with we had a deal written on paper and that he assured me the vehicle was mine and no longer on the sales lot! The salesman said some other buyer paid $13K ($2K more than my deal) so they sold the vehicle. Then the salesman had the nerve to say, well I have other vehicles available. This location obviously deceived me and is more interested in making money than being honest with their customers.

The Ford Edge is quick, roomy and a 4 wheel drive that is good in any weather. It has a roomy compartment to store strollers and groceries. I would recommend the Edge! It gets great gas mileage and good for back road drives.

I have owned this vehicle which is a 2017 for one year. In that time I have had to replace the fuel system twice. Once for a catastrophic fuel pump failure. The other 1600 miles later. Ford swears it’s contaminated fuel. I believe it was done because the the repair was not completed correctly by Ford Motor Company. Ford will not back or stand behind their product. I will never purchase another Ford again.

On May 9, 2016 in Manchester NH our 2015 Ford F150 Lariat spontaneously caught fire and destroyed itself and a car in the adjacent parking spot. The vehicle was parked a few feet outside our office window when smoke came pouring out of the hood of the truck. The truck was unattended, was NOT running, just suddenly started burning out of control. It eventually burnt to the ground, destroying the front of our office concrete walls, office windows, pavement, and the car next to it.

Truck has 40,000 miles on the odometer when it had a reading on dash panel that said service advance trac, also the turn signals would not work, took it to Ford service dept where they performed pin point test - found an internal fault in the power steering control sensor. Steering gear assumable needs to be replaced (this power rack is a 12volt system). They want $1,325 to replace. Ford has a better idea, called job security.

I am very upset to the point where I am in the midst of contacting the Better Business Bureau and posting a blog online regarding your company lack of integrity and manner of doing business. In November, my 2010 Ford Edge which is currently financed through your company caught on fire due to an ABS issue. I bought the vehicle as a used vehicle in 2013. I contacted my local dealership to report the problem. It took them 7 days before someone contacted me regarding a diagnosis of the problem. The car was towed but someone failed to address the issue. I was initially told it was my issue. Coincidentally, I went online and found out that that there was an issue and there was a recall at which point someone decided that they will look into the matter. The service department decided that they would begin repair on the vehicle. I was given a rental while the repair were to be done.First, the service repair advisor was incompetent as I had been calling everyday to get a status of the vehicle and each time I was told that they are working on it or the parts was not in. Your record would also reflect every time I made a phone call and spoke to someone, even calls made to your corporate headquarters. I was even assured that because of the situation everything would be handled. What I fail to understand that why it took almost 5 weeks for a part to come in. Its a Ford vehicle part, should be readily accessible. It is not an older model vehicle so what was the issue here? Here is where I am really pissed off with this whole situation. My mom went in today to get her vehicle oil changed. Note, hers is 2014 Edge as well. I relayed my concern to her and she decided to find out exactly what was going on. Ironically, what my mom was told that is the they can pick the car up today. How coincidental? She asked about the rental and was told that they were only covered for 10 days. Well, that is not acceptable or reasonable. We had no control on how long it would have taken to repair the vehicle. Why should we be penalized with a $1500.00 bill when nothing that occurred was within our control. Ford Motor Company was in total control of this situation from beginning to end and we are now receiving the ** end of this situation by being held hostage to pay a $1500.00 rental bill which I dont have especially this time of the year.Your local dealership was less than accommodating and did nothing within their power to expedite the repair of the vehicle. This was I believe the company did in order to recoup the cost of repairing the vehicle. They held on to the vehicle for as long as they could. The prolonged the process, which increased the cost of the rental, which was deceitful and as unprofessional. Your company is not a small mom and pop repair shop. You are a major company and should have pride and integrity in the way you do business. My mom has been a valued Ford customer for over 20 years. Every vehicle she has ever owned was a Ford vehicle. This has left us and her very dissatisfied with your company and your business practice. I still feels that we can come to some amicable agreement. As I said before, I am between a rock and a hard place as I have no other choice because I will need my vehicle especially since I am one vehicle home currently since I also I have another Ford vehicle that is also down because of needed repairs.I close with this statement - I am a very unhappy and dissatisfied customer. I am also not going to roll over and let this slide. Based on how this turns on it is my intent to take further action on this matter. I do intend to post pictures on the Internet of the vehicle. It may cost me $1500.00 but in the long run when I am done it will cost the company more based on reviews I will post online and providing feedback and reviews for this vehicle and your company as a whole. Looking forward to hearing from you. I would rate lower than a 1 star. Unfortunately it does not go lower than a 1.

2014 Ford transit van - This car isnt even 2 years old and I noticed hundreds of small holes in the paint. Took it into the local Ford dealership to see if the warranty covers it and, WELL OF COURSE!! No, it isnt covered because it is supposedly due to rock damage from the roads, that none of our other (more used) cars have. In addition, the dealership will not put this into writing so that I can complain to the road people. Now, I read all over the internet where Ford simply has cheap and terrible paint for their vehicles. Will be the last one I buy.

It maneuvers really great on the road & its driving comfort is perfect. Mileage is really good too? We have had several different makes of vehicles but the two Fords that we have are what we were looking for & to date the service has been excellent! Our prev vehicle had repairs/replacements that needed to be done at 100k and we were not advised when purchased. Ford was truthful & did their best to find what we were looking for including the color. Their service dept has notified us any time they see something of concern and its not always costly. The vehicles are a joy to drive. We were always Chev people but their sales staff were not very accommodating & refused to deal to make the sale. Their loss!

My husband and I were watching a movie in Virginia Beach and are from Atlanta so we were visiting, and the phone kept buzzing. We knew no one in Virginia had our number so we went outside and answered the call. It was the VA Fire Dept. THE TRUCK (Ford F150 2006) was on FIRE. Now we had been in the movie for 2 hours and add an additional 45 minutes walking in the mall. So the truck had sat for almost 3 hours. What a waste. Now were waiting on FORD to tell us whats next.

I bought a brand new Mustang GT in the summer of 18. I traded a pristine 14 JKU and a 2003 Corvette in on this car. 2 vehicles I loved very much. The Jeep was still like brand new with almost no miles. Anyway, I bought this Mustang and drove this thing very cautiously hoping a gentle break in would ensure long drivetrain longevity. This car has never even done a burnout. Well, the engine started making a rattling noise like a diesel Around 500 miles. The interior had a random rattle and the transmission would often grind going in to 3rd and 4th as well as being resistant to pull out of 3rd gear. This car zat for a total of 32 days in the few months I owned it. Ford put a new short block in it at 2,000. Basically the car was no longer brand new as the front end was completely disassembled. I asked Ford for an msrp swap and they said no. I asked them to reimburse me the amount of monthly payments in proportion to how long the car zat and they said no because they dont have confidence Ill stay with the brand. I traded 2 fantastic vehicles for this pile of garbage and Ford had no interest in satisfying their customer. I buy a new car every few years and had Ford treated me well they would have had another guaranteed sale from me as I bought my wife a new car in Dec 19. We were going to buy an Explorer. Unfortunately Ill NEVER buy another Ford and I urge you to research the engine/ transmission failures in basically every Ford model in production. Im making it a life mission to share my experience with the general public in hopes that I can prevent them from having the same horrific experience I did. Have a nice day.

Despite everybody telling me not to buy a Ford, the 2016 Ford Explorer Spor
Despite everybody telling me not to buy a Ford, the 2016 Ford Explorer Sport fit my familys needs and we like the looks and performance of the vehicle so I bought one for my wife. On the way home from a day out celebrating Mothers Day with my family, the transmission went out on the freeway and we barely made it home. With only 4,000 miles on the vehicle, the transmission had to be replaced. In addition, the vehicle made a loud squeaking noise from the fans when you turn the car off, and the leather on the drivers seat is already starting to deform. The dealer fixed the transmission, but said there was nothing they could do about the seats or the fan squeak. They stated this was normal. I have owned a lot of cars in my life, and in no way is this normal.I then took the Explorer in for a routine oil change service, and the vehicle only had 5/32 left of tread on the tires. This seemed like very excessive wear for a brand new vehicle. A month or so later I took the vehicle back in to the dealer to have the tires looked at and they were down to 4/32. The dealer said that it was up to the tire manufacturer, and Hankook was only willing to prorate 25%. There is no way I should have to replace tires on a vehicle that is 1 year old with only 12K miles on it. Come to find out, Fords New Vehicle Warranty is also supposed to warranty the tires and should cover 60% of the cost. I called Ford Customer Relations and what a disaster they are. I went back and forth for with them for a month. They never called me back as they promised, and some of the reps were extremely rude.I finally get a supervisor who says that he worked it out with the dealership and that I will only need to pay $407.57 for new tires, and that Ford will take care of the rest. Not quite 60% but at this point, I just want to be done with this. I call the dealer and talk to the person I was told to ask for, and they know nothing about this. I have always tried to stay loyal to the domestic automakers, but I can see why people dont buy American cars. I understand stuff can happen to anything vehicle, but the service Ford has provided has been terrible. If they were great in handling these issues, I would be happy that at least the service was good and that they were taking care of their customer and standing behind their product. Clearly that is not the case and the stereotype about Ford poor quality and service is unfortunately true.

Our 2014 Flex has been a great car so far! It gets decent gas mileage and has plenty of room. We have not had any mechanical issues so far and the only complaint I have is that the hoses that go to the front and rear window squirters keeps coming off of a connector, that I had to end up clamping to the connector.

I bought a used 2005 Ford Coachmen RV. All the seals leaks around the windows and around a vent which allows an outlet to get wet which causes a GFCI breaker to trip every time it rains. I also have a friend that has a 99 Expedition. His seal leaks around the front windshield causing the computer to short out. I have a friend with a 03 Ranger that leaks and causes the anti theft to engage. Theres several cases like this I know of and Ford hasnt recalled these vehicles.

On 02/08/2019 I simply rolled up my drivers side window, there was a loud pop and the window shattered into a million pieces. There was no apparent reason for this. No bumps or pot holes were driven over in the six miles I had traveled. It wasnt cold, was not running the AC, I had not touched the window in any way. Just simply rolled the window up. Oh, I should mention these are not electric windows, these are hand crank windows. I called my dealer Bill Currie Ford of Tampa, FL. I spoke with service department. They told me to bring it into the body shop and ask for Joe. I did what they told me. Spoke with Joe for less than 2 mins. Explained what has happened, showed him a picture that I had taken. We went back inside, Joe disappeared. After a few mins. James ** handed me an estimate for the repair of the window at the cost of $369.29. I asked about warranty because it just shattered for no apparent reason to this he gave me no response. I explained I could not afford the cost. He said I can maybe take off $50.00. I thanked him and departed. I then called Ford Customer Care, spoke with April whom was very helpful. Gave me a case number and told me to wait a few hours and call the service manager. I did what I was instructed to do. I called Bill Currie Ford and asked to speak to the service manager, of course on got voice mail. I left a message with my case number and contact info. I called the next day, again getting only voice mail, again left the info. The service manager Mark has yet to respond to my calls. So now I have a car that cannot be secured. I am on the road all day and I am forced to park my car with the window wide open just asking for someone to take advantage of it.

Back in 2005 I purchased a brand new 2005 Ford Freestar, it had a faulty torque converter, and was replaced in 2013. Now then 1 year later I had the same problem (torque converter). I just got off the phone with a tech. at the Ford dealer and told him what happened... he said its not covered a recall is a 1 time fix, so even though they replaced my torque converter with another faulty 1 its not their problem... I dont think thats fair, but then again what do I know, Im just a consumer... What can a person do???

Two weeks ago l took delivery on a new ordered Ford Lariat f150, paying 52000 plus tax in full. Beautiful high end truck with 20 inch chrome wheels. Two days after taking delivery I was installing wheel locks. I noticed one rim was damaged with two 1/8 by 1/8 by 1/8 puncture marks in the chrome which were starting to show signs of rust and had fine scratches in the chrome as someone tried to remove the defect. It appears that someone dropped the rim and tire on some sort of sharp object. I returned to the Ford dealer where they took pictures and filed a complaint with Ford. Declined, they appealed a second time and that was declined by Ford. The dealer has offered a new rim for an additional 500 plus dollars. Advice, just because a vehicle is expensive and new check the cosmetics of the vehicle THOROUGHLY. Dont close the deal if you see any cosmetic damage. Dont expect Ford to provide ANY assistance for this type of damage.
