¿Qué debo hacer si mi secadora no arranca?
Si su secadora no arranca, puede deberse a una de las siguientes razones:
El botón de arranque necesita ser pulsado o girado durante el tiempo suficiente para encajar. Pulse o gire el botón de arranque y manténgalo pulsado durante dos segundos.
El mando selector de ciclos no está del todo en la posición de inicio. Para asegurarse de que está correctamente colocado, simplemente gire el mando hasta que el indicador esté un poco más dentro del ciclo.
La puerta de la secadora está abierta. La puerta debe estar completamente cerrada para que la secadora funcione.
Es posible que el cable de alimentación no esté enchufado o que la conexión esté suelta. Compruebe que el enchufe encaja bien en la toma de corriente. Nota: No utilice un cable de extensión.
Se ha fundido un fusible en su casa o se ha disparado un disyuntor. Si este es el caso, restablezca el disyuntor o sustituya el fusible (pero no aumente la capacidad del fusible).

¿Es normal que mi secadora haga sonidos o ruidos?
Las hebillas de los cinturones u otros elementos metálicos de sujeción de los artículos que se secan pueden provocar ruidos o chasquidos. Puede sujetar estos elementos o poner las prendas del revés para reducir los sonidos.
Los sonidos de traqueteo o chasquido también pueden ser causados por objetos extraños (como monedas) en el tambor. Si cree que este es el problema, detenga la secadora y compruebe si hay algún objeto en el tambor. Si no hay ninguno y los sonidos continúan, le recomendamos que ponga una carga vacía para ver si el ruido continúa. Esto le permitirá determinar si el ruido proviene de la unidad o de un artículo que se estaba secando. Si el ruido sigue presente durante la carga vacía, póngase en contacto con nosotros.

Mi secadora tarda mucho en secar una carga de ropa. ¿Puedo hacer algo al respecto?
Si su secadora parece tardar demasiado en secar su carga, compruebe lo siguiente
Limpie la rejilla de pelusas después de cada uso. También puede lavar periódicamente la rejilla de pelusas con agua tibia y jabón para eliminar cualquier residuo, y luego secarla bien antes de volver a colocarla. Nota: No haga funcionar la secadora sin la rejilla para pelusas colocada, ya que podría dañarla.
Compruebe el ajuste del ciclo o de la temperatura. Si se selecciona el ciclo o la temperatura Air Fluff, la secadora dará vueltas sin calor. Por lo general, usted querrá seleccionar calor bajo o medio, y el ajuste de Secado Normal. Seleccione Más Secado para las cargas que requieran más tiempo. Un ajuste de calor medio o bajo es seguro para artículos de planchado permanente, delicados y de punto, pero requerirá períodos de secado más largos.
No seque una carga demasiado grande o demasiado pequeña. Si la secadora está sobrecargada o demasiado vacía, la ropa tardará más en secarse. Los artículos necesitan espacio para girar libremente con el fin de secarse bien, y usted también necesita suficientes artículos en el tambor para un giro adecuado.
Clasifique las prendas que va a secar. Seque prendas de tejido y peso similares en la misma carga.
Tenga en cuenta la humedad. Los tiempos de secado serán más largos en áreas donde la humedad es alta. Puede utilizar un deshumidificador cerca de la secadora si es necesario.
Compruebe las barras del sensor de humedad de la secadora. Para localizar las barras del sensor de humedad, consulte su Guía completa del propietario. Las hojas de suavizante pueden dejar un residuo en las barras del sensor de humedad de la secadora, lo que puede inhibir su capacidad de detectar con precisión la ropa mojada. Elimine los residuos limpiando las barras del sensor de humedad con alcohol.
Compruebe que haya una ventilación adecuada. Si su secadora está instalada en un armario o debajo de un mostrador, es posible que no reciba la ventilación necesaria para un secado adecuado.
Compruebe y limpie el conducto de escape. Asegúrese de que el conducto de escape no está obstruido. Si el problema persiste, considere la posibilidad de que lo limpie un proveedor de servicios autorizado. Nota: Para evitar el riesgo de envenenamiento por monóxido de carbono, nunca haga funcionar una secadora de gas sin un conducto de escape que ventile al exterior.
Asegúrese de que la campana extractora no esté bloqueada. Utilice una campana de ventilación aprobada con una compuerta abatible que se abre cuando la secadora está en funcionamiento y se cierra automáticamente cuando la secadora se detiene. Además, puede comprobar lo siguiente:
Configuración del ciclo o de la temperatura. Compruebe el selector de ciclo: si se selecciona el ciclo Air Fluff o la temperatura, la secadora funcionará sin calor.
Cableado de la salida. Haga que un electricista calificado verifique que el voltaje que se suministra es correcto a 240v.
Válvula de suministro de gas (sólo para modelos de gas). Asegúrese de que la válvula de suministro de gas a la secadora de gas está abierta. (Vea las instrucciones de instalación para más detalles).
Depósito de suministro de gas (sólo para modelos de gas). Si tiene una secadora de gas y el tanque de gas LP está vacío, rellene o reemplace el tanque. Si ha habido una interrupción en el suministro de gas natural, llame a su compañía de gas natural.
Suministro de aire alrededor de una secadora de gas. La secadora necesita espacio a su alrededor para que haya una ventilación adecuada que permita sostener el quemador de gas. No apile ni coloque ropa o alfombras contra la parte delantera o trasera de la secadora. Para instalar una secadora en un armario o nicho, consulte las instrucciones de instalación.

¿Qué debo hacer si mi secadora deja de funcionar?
Si su secadora no funciona, puede ser porque:
El motor está sobrecalentado. La sobrecarga de la secadora puede hacer que su motor se sobrecaliente. Si este es el caso, deje que el motor se enfríe durante 30 minutos. Es posible que tenga que reducir el tamaño de la carga: la carga media de la lavadora llenará el tambor de la secadora entre 1/3 y 1/2. Si dejar que el motor se enfríe y reducir el tamaño de la carga no resuelve el problema, póngase en contacto con su proveedor de servicios autorizado.
El interruptor del limitador térmico está activado. En las secadoras eléctricas, un interruptor limitador térmico apaga automáticamente el motor en el improbable caso de una situación de sobrecalentamiento. Si este es el caso, tendrá que ponerse en contacto con un proveedor de servicios para sustituir el interruptor del limitador térmico.

I have had 3 repair companies out 8 times since May and replaced everything possible in the dryer part and it still has the same noise when heated. When talking to anyone in the corporate office whether it be the person answering the phone or a supervisor, they have approached the concerns with apathy. I was even told by one repair company that Frigidaire would just stall until I give up.Basically, the consumer is at the mercy of the manufacturer and how they interpret the necessity of replacing a unit. I even have the noise issue on video and it doesnt seem to create any concerns to them. This company has no integrity at all. If they treat their employees like they treat the people that are purchasing their crappy products, its no wonder they are apathetic. Consumer protection agency should take note of sketchy companies like this and shut them down. Warranties arent worth the paper they are written on.

They say We have acknowledged your washers problem and are on a path to a resolution. That washes absolutely no clothes.

This went unnoticeable for some time as it is a vacation rental home. My husband laughed at me but found out heavy clothes on the bottom, lighter clothes on the top, has a clean cycle you do once a month. Doesn't show on the panel of the washer but tells you in the book how to access it. Mine is in a basement and has never had a bad odor or any mechanical problem in 3 years. Uses very little water and clothes come out clean and smell great. I open the door when done and pull out the soap and bleach dispenser tray when not in use. My sister says her cleaning woman works for others and has had every front loader break down often. I maintain it's how we treat them. If you load them all carelessly, it makes them off balance and will cause damage. Will buy another set if these ever quit on me.

As there are only the 2 of us to wash for I believed this unit would be ideal for space & efficiency. We cleaned & replaced any of the dryer venting before installation. I think I have given the unit a fair run & can say I am totally dissatisfied with its performance.The dryer will only dry a load on high heavy duty & then it must be full. I cannot dry a smaller load on any setting. Sometimes a small load will take 2 hours to dry. The washer tears clothing, I use tide pods & cleaner as recommended & find that wet clothes often come out with lint stuck to them even a load of delicates that do not contain lint, so I have to sponge lint of many items before I dry them. I also clean the washer & dryer after each load as recommended in the user manual. I am totally disenchanted with this unit that was to be my last washer dryer after 50 plus years of doing laundry. I would not recommend this brand to my friends. Thank you for your attention to, my concerns.

Since purchasing these items I have had a major service on the machine at 15 months when the cement block disintegrated causing the machine to stop spinning. Repair cost me $600.00 - NO WARRANTY. Frigidaire/Electrolux did not want to help me stating I did not get extended warranty for this item. Who would think this front load washer of 15 months would have such an issue? I finally got them to replace the cement block but I was to pay for service. 600.00 later the machine is fixed and I am left cleaning the mess the service man did not clean. Fast forward to August 15, 2015. The washer is not yet 4 years old and again the cement block has cracked and I am left without a machine - since this is not covered as I refused to give Frigidaire another penny and purchase an extended warranty. By the way the customer service person told me this part would not be covered pre-existing problem. I just took the machine and junked it. I did go out and purchase a Samsung Top Load AquaJet machine with a five year warranty - anything happens to my machine they will repair it at no cost or replace it. Customer service thanks to PC Richards at its best unlike Electrolux. I will never purchase another item that has the name is GE/Frigidaire/Electrolux again.

Almost immediately I need service due to the washer leaking, not filling up with water properly and the dryer would not dry the clothes completely. Since then, I have had 11 separate service calls on the units. Each time, there is a 4 hour window for service which requires me to be off work. They have replaced every part on the washer and most computerized parts on the dryer. Now, the washer has the same problem that caused the original service call. I have made numerous calls to the customer service line and always get the same response. Customer service say they are meeting to decide how to proceed and promise a return call. They never do. I have to call them, start the entire conversation history over with another customer service rep.We are now in June of 2016. I may have had 2 weeks of continual usage of the washer and dryer until the next problem with the machines occur. I have asked them to recognize that they sold me a defective product and to stop trying to fix the unfixable and send me a new machine. I have explained to them that my unit got by their quality control department and that they sold me a lemon, a machine that obviously does not work as intended. Of course, the warranty will expire in July and they will then have no obligation to fix (joke) the units. If this was a automobile, it would be recalled. If this was medical care, it would be malpractice. You would think a company of this size would realize that they sold me a bad product and make it right.Today I emailed the CEO Jonas Samuelson with my complaints. Hoping but with major doubts I will hear back. Buyers, beware of this company and good luck dealing with their lack of customer service. PS: I still have no washer and dryer going on 30 days from the last service call. Apparently, they are waiting for parts to arrive. Guess they never heard of USPS or UPS overnight shipping.

The screen frame has large plastic taps at each side to prevent the screen from sliding to far in the slot. I cannot count how many times I have had clothes ripped, straps torn off and ruined by getting caught on the lint screen tabs. I have had a professional look at it. I have called on this issue and I am told there is nothing basically that can be done except I can purchase dryer bags used for pantyhose to place my clothes in to protect them. And the dryer screen is lose and allows lint to pass through the slot meant to catch the lint. This has resulted now in the dryer over heating and the element burning out in the dryer. Again, why did I purchase this dryer?

(Took 3 weeks to repair this issue). Second issue- 3 mths later- Belt for the dryer broke, washer not spinning or draining. Belt was replaced, but technician replaced a motor control sensor on washer which did not fix the problem. Frigidaire will not yet replace our unit and is ordering 5 MORE PARTS to fix the washer!!I have asked multiple times if we can have a replacement unit since the machine is intrinsically faulty! And I am told that there will be no placement of our unit until the TECH dept deems it unrepairable, which the technician that worked on the unit is saying that he feels its unrepairable. This has taken 6 weeks now and Im still without a washer! Not to mention the trips to the laundromat, the time off of work I have taken to be home for the repairman. This has been an absolute nightmare. I cannot believe that a company would not stand behind their product and treat a customer this way. I will NEVER buy Frigidaire products again!

I therefore replaced the element at my cost of $200. About 1 1/2 years later it happened again, ok replaced it again. And 2 more times 1 year between each time it happens. Then last October it happens again and this time I email Frigidaire again and this time they respond and say, Sorry, you are out of warranty and we cannot help you. Not happy I replace yet another element at my cost. Well this one only lasted 3 months. With ZERO support from Frigidaire we are buying another Dryer and will NEVER buy another Frigidaire product ever again.

Frigidaire sent a technician (American TV and electronics), who did not open the washer but tried to inspect the problem by trying to spin the drum. According to the technician there was something stuck in the drum and they required authorization from Frigidaire to continue with repairs. Frigidaire refused to authorize repair and called it customer neglect. Well, I opened the washing machine myself and opened the washer tub assembly, only difficulty was the weight of the tub assembly.Needless to say there was no clothing stuck in the drum. I ordered the rear bearing (manufacturer defective; 1 year old Frigidaire affinity washer - $900.00 dollars) which I personally switched. Washer is working perfectly. Lazy technicians did not want to check interior problem. Requested refund for extended warranty for both washer and dryer. Frigidaire said that they were going to charge technicians fee. Two weeks have passed and there has been no refund. By the way when my wife called Frigidaire they kept telling her that their district manager had been e-mailed for authorization. Being in retail myself all decisions go to location manager. As a school teacher I will let my students now that Frigidaire will not stand by their product, nor their warranty promise.

I bought my Frigidaire washer/dryer combo 30 years ago and with everyday use it has had absolutely no repairs. I just finished my 3rd load today and keep waiting for something to break down but it never does. Clothes come out clean and the dryer is fast and efficient. I will only buy Frigidaire in the future unless, of course, I'm in a nursing home.

I have a warranty on my washer and dryer (purchased new 3 years ago). The washing machine recently stopped working so I called Frigidaire to utilize my warranty coverage. They dispensed a company called ABCO to my home on 7-9-16. The technician was nice and advised he would be getting the part within 3 days (M-W). I never heard back from them. I left a total of 4 messages with the last one last night (7-19-16). The receptionist or maybe temporary worker was extremely rude, very unprofessional, and had the vocabulary of an uneducated child. She argued she did not receive any messages. Perhaps she did not hit play on the answering machine (yes, answering machine). After arguing, I called Frigidaire to advise their sub was useless and I wanted them nowhere near my home. I now have a new company coming 7-25 and I hope they can do what ABCO could not.

Purchased dryer in December of 2012, recently broke due to a damaged fan. When service person returned with the part he discovered that the motor had ripped apart from the base of the dryer, unfixable. Frigidaire refuses to compensate an obvious manufacturers defect, will never buy another Frigidaire product.
