Chevrolet Spark

I purchased a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LS in 2011. l loved the car at first sight. A few weeks after purchase, notice that the transmission would jerk at certain miles per hour, and fluctuate at certain speeds and when the cruise control is engaged, it fluctuates also hmmmm... So I called GM in April of 2012, had them look up my warranty and they said I was in luck. My power train was still in effect WOW. Was so happy to hear that so I took my car to the local Saturn Cadillac hummer dealership which also was owned by GM back then. They kept my car overnight and have me a rental. I was so happy.Called them up the next afternoon, car wasnt ready. Called them the next morning, they told me they didnt see anything wrong and said I can come and pick up the car. They told me the car is running as design hmm.. I wasnt satisfied with that answer so I took it to Ed Morse Chevrolet, a next dealership that doesnt know whats wrong with my car. First they told me it was the solenoid. They have me a rental that happens to have the same engine and transmission and that car drove perfectly, so a few days later I picked the car up. That next day, I notice the car was still doing the same thing. I misunderstood my warranty statement, also it said 100k or September 14 2013. Silly me, I thought it was my option lol, so before all of that occurred I was back and forth with this dealership.GM and GM customer service specialist who in my opinion is a waste of time, it took them after my warranty expires to diagnose my car with a bad torque converter which GM would split the bill with me. OK that was $850 dollars. Wow. I was furious it took me and GM 2 weeks to come to a conclusion that I would have to pay half so I saved up my portion, took the car over there and they didnt want to give me a rental and I just had a baby girl. I was furious and still am. OK I left the car over there for three days, picked it up and the car was still doing the same thing and just three weeks ago they told me they want to keep the car for another 24 hours, thats 3 working days. Ive had enough. I talked to another GM dealership. They told me that Ed Morse should of had recommended the new transmission since they dont repair they replace the issue should have been corrected. They quoted me over $3500 for a new transmission with installation, but according to them if I can get GM to give me a deductible cost for over $1400, that sounds good but I thought about it. Why should I pay when I was trying to get them to fix my car for 2 years? Im gonna sue this dealership in a few weeks, wish me luck. Going to the judge, will see things my way and see the incompetence and lack of respect that has for their customer! Cant put order number, dont know which one to put got like three of them.

I bought a new Chevy because I was tired of sinking money into my old car, and I figured I would rather have a car payment and a reliable car than put money in my old car. But now Im doing both because the 2013 Chevy Sonic I have is a lemon. Every month now I make a $300 car payment and I sink money into the Sonic because its broke down. Last month I pay $900 to have a water pump and radiator put in the month before that it was $250 for the motor for the driver side window. I cant afford this anymore. I am a 53 year old disable single woman who is on SSDI and Chevy will not do anything to help me. This is the 3rd Chevy Ive owned in my lifetime. Never never again.

I bought a new vehicle 2014 Chevy Camaro with a v6 3.7 engine and GM didnt think it was necessary to install a low oil sensor in their engines. Recently I changed my oil as I have always on time when prompted to. And replaced oil filter cap and the o-ring did not seal properly so needless to say without any warning lights or anything the engine pumped out 5 1/2 quarts of much needed 6 total of my oil. Didnt realize anything was wrong until the engine started making a loud noise. Of course GM says theyre not responsible for this mistake because I changed my own oil. But I ask GM why I can buy a $99 lawn mower with a low oil sensor in the engine to protect my investment but a $26,000 Camaro does not have a low oil sensor in the engine to protect my investment. I said even if I fix the car myself this can happen again.I have always been a Chevy man but this just makes no sense to me why they would not invest another $20-$30 to protect what the dealer said will cost me now at least $9500 for a new engine, which I totally disagree with because its only ticking and may not need a new engine but for now and the next 4-5 yrs. Ill be paying very high payments on a yellow lemon yard ornament... this should be a recall. Theres no excuse for this type of manufacturing, very disappointed in the brand Ive bragged about for many years. If this is their best they can build for consumers, they should stop building cars. At this point, I can promise I will always tell people about the warning of the disrespect for consumer investment that GM does not care one damn bit about you after you purchase their product. Thank you, Rick... a very disappointed consumer.

This is what happened - On November 11, 2015 the tow truck took my truck to Rudolph Chevrolet which they diagnostic my truck with a non working cam and lifters. My truck is well maintained with 107k miles. I did my research and I realized there are many cases identical or similar to my situation. The dealership quote $4K repair (parts and labor). I placed a complain at GM customer service and they contacted the dealership and both decided they will help with $950 which doesnt look fair to me specially when I know there are other GM customers facing a similar case. Today 11/16/15 I called GM customer service and spoke to a unprofessional representative named Alicia. She denied to transfer me a supervisor stating the supervisor was not available since she was at lunch time. After arguing for another 8 minutes she place me on hold for over 10 minutes until the supervisor answered. Supervisor said there was nothing else to do. I asked her if there was somebody else I could talk to and she said NO, I asked her if there was another department I could place a complain, and she said NO. Supervisor said since my warranty expired there was nothing else she could do. Im only asking for help, I bought my truck in good faith and Im only asking to GM to provide help to a loyal customer.

2011 Silverado Duramax Diesel - LTZ. After paying the extreme price for this truck GM threw out to the public with a bad DEF system, among other problems, they should be ashamed. When you complain about this inferior product, GM does nothing but throws you a bone to buy another GM product!! Not back up their product by extending the warranty you already paid for.. Shame on you GM. You waved the flag of a America built product. After being a loyal customer all my 60 years, standing by you while others put out a good product, this is how I get treated. Now I feel like a fool.

Does anyone else have this problem? I bought my 2012 GMC Terrain in Jan 2012. During my first week of owning it, we had some bad snow storms. The state uses a lot of salt to battle ice. When I opened the door, I had some difficulty opening it. When I did get it open, I noticed snow, slush, dirt, etc. at the rocker panel area where the inside bottom of my door meets the vehicle. I showed this twice to the dealership and they mainly stated they had never seen anything like it. Now this summer, the vehicle is leaking dust into the vehicle and builds up mud and dust at the rocker panel area. I took it back to the dealer and they put mud guards to see if they will help. I still see dust and dirt at the rocker panel. Otherwise, I like my Terrain. Please, if anyone is having this problem, I would like to know.

Twice, I have experienced a disturbing situation when I accidentally touched the engine start/stop button while driving. When this occurred, the drivers information screen advised me to put the car in Park, depress the brake pedal and push the engine stop/start button. This is an impossible feat when the car is in motion. The dealership advised me to put the moving car in neutral, lightly depress the brake pedal and press the start button. Obviously, Buick is aware of the problem if this hair-brained solution is proposed to the owner. The location of the start/stop button can easily allow the driver to accidentally touch it because of its proximity to the lane change on/off button, the act of extending ones finger into the recessed touch screen to change a radio station or adjusting the air vent to the right of the steering wheel. The location of the button is a gross design error. Even the LaCross has the proper location for the start/stop button. Will Buick acknowledge its mistake and provide all Verano owners with a safe alternative to solve this problem?

July 22, 2019, we (Fiance and I) purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado from Crew’s Chevrolet in North Charleston, SC. Within the first few week, we heard a constant thump coming from the rear of the cab. We took it in to the dealership not once, not twice but three times in order for the problem corrected. We were informed by the dealership that we could file a claim with GM so, we did. It has been a pain ever since. Once filing the claim with GM, we were assigned to a Senior Advisor. After a few conversations with the initial Senior Advisor, we found out they were no longer with the company and no one knew anything regarding the status of our claims. A week or so later, we received a phone call from another Senior Advisor, Tori, who was now assigned to our case. From here, I can’t even begin to describe the frustration I have felt. I have gone round for round with Tori regarding what to do, what’s going on and what to even think regarding our thumping with the truck. A civil engineer was sent to the dealership, a ton of sealant was applied and it is still thumping! (NO surprise there). Tori calls every 2 to 3 days to tell me that there is no update regarding our claim. There is an “Internal Resource Team” that apparently has not responded to her since the beginning of January. I have even called the service advisor at the local dealership and she seems to know more about our claim than the Senior Advisor assigned to our case. We are extremely frustrated and just want this to be over. We want our money back for the lemon that was manufactured by GM. We want to move on and not have to deal with the constant frustration with GM, Tori and the 2019 Chevy Silverado sitting in our yard. We have to make our payments while we do not feel safe driving this vehicle and have made that extremely clear. When will we get the answers?

GMC pickup trucks - My oil pressure sending unit went bad at almost exactly 100000 miles and it cost me $500.00 to have it replaced at the dealer... also the steering sensor is bad because the stability and traction lights are on on the dash. The cost to fix that is also $500.00 to replace. Don’t you think that is bad for an 80 year old man to pay? Or don’t you people care?

Their customer service team doesnt return phone calls, when you finally get ahold of someone, they have absolutely no concern or care for their customers. My $50,000 truck had a transmission issue at just over 70k miles because of the OE fluid and GMC offered me a $50 off coupon for my next visit. No offer to take care of the expense caused by a subpar fluid put in at the factory. Their tech service bulletin specifically stated the first step to the repair was replace the OE fluid with Mobile 1 transmission fluid, if that doesnt correct the issue, replace the torque converter. This is a well known problem and yet they leave their loyal customers to absorb the repair expenses.

I have been trying to resolve an issue with a dealership and with GM customer service regarding my 2014 Chevy Spark. This vehicle has had 3 (yes, three) piston replacements as well as a new engine put in. They are giving me the runaround regarding a buy back under the lemon law. They seem to have no interest in keeping a customer or accepting responsibility. I was warned about the dealership but I thought GM would step up to the plate. No such luck so far. So disappointed.

This is specific to a GMC Dealership but when I reached out to GM Customer Service last time I received no help at all. Overall, I am very disappointed with both of my experiences with Todd ** and will not return for any service. My issues may be limited to the salesman I worked, with but I will never do business with them again. My husband and I have now leased 2 vehicles from Todd ** and have had terms misrepresented and glazed over leading to large unexpected bills. First, we took my wifes Terrain (November 2016) in that we had leased through another dealership to find out my options. We wanted to buy it out since there was some damage we were afraid of paying for. I kept asking what the buy out would look like monthly but was never given the option and told it would be dumb to buy it out as the price was over the fmv. I was told to not worry about the damage to the previous vehicle and that they would pop out the door ding and take care of the scratches and that they didnt think I would receive a bill. I kept reiterating that this is very important to me as I did not have cash at the time to pay for other things. On top of this we asked about the GMC family discount as to whether it would still apply to us because my grandfather had passed away and we were unsure if we still qualified. Once again, I was told to not worry about it and they would figure it out. I asked worse case scenario that we dont qualify what would the outcome be and was told we would figure it out. My lease term was signed that night including the discount. Upon realizing we do not qualify for the discount the sales agent asked us to pay the almost $1200 difference which I had asked if that would happen and was told they would figure it out. Fast forward to a month later, and I received a bill for $1300 on my vehicle for wear and tear after being told to expect nothing. I realize they cannot guarantee that we wouldnt owe anything but none of the dings or scratches were even taken care of as I was told they would be. Shame on me for not getting anything in writing but these practices led me to sign a contract on false pretenses. We left saying never again. Secondly, we leased a Sierra (February 2016) which is now up so we took it to another dealership to turn in and were slapped in the face with what we owed. It was a loaner vehicle which had roughly $5,000 miles on it. (The first Terrain was a loaner so we had experience leasing this type of vehicle.) We were told that the lease was for 10,000 miles a year for 2 years (20,000-mile lease). We kept discussing this as I was afraid 10,000 might be cutting it close for us. Cue the sales representative to sell us the extended coverage allowing $400 of extra mile coverage which equaled to be about 2,000 more miles which they explained meant 11,000 a year so we signed up. We watched our miles closely through the 2 years and calculated we may still owe around $100 due to an unexpected trip we took that had us a little over the 22,000 total miles we thought we had. Fast forward to trying to turn in this vehicle, we were told the lease was for 20,000 including the 5,000 that was previously on it meaning really, we only had roughly 7,500 a year. This fact was never remotely discussed to us but in a small box in the lease we see that number. I realize we signed the paperwork but how do you tell someone something and agree to terms and then fail to disclose some of the largest facts of the agreement. We also discovered there is a $495 disposition fee that was never discussed. It seems pertinent to me to disclose things like this rather than hide them in a long list of papers that they shove in front of you to sign.I am also against the survey they hand you on your experience to fill out in front of your sales rep. They hand you a piece of paper saying Todd ** only accepts exceptional here fill this out while I sit in front of you making it extremely uncomfortable to honestly respond. While I understand that there is nothing legally wrong with this, it is definitely not good practice.

I have had nothing but problems when I purchased my 2007 Malibu with the dealership. They fight you on anything that needs repaired. I have a rust coming on the back of my trunk by the metal piece and they now say it has to be rusted all the way through for GM to cover it. They conveniently made it where I would not be able to get it fixed by the time the warranty is over. I have the 100,000 miles. Ive had a part fixed on my front tire portion of my car that is broken again and is no longer under warranty. I will never ever purchase a GM car again. They make it impossible to get any help.

In March 2014, I leased a Silverado double cab. No issues, truck running great. About 6 to 7 months into the lease, I started getting lights concerning the Trac Stabilizer system coming on. This came on with normal driving conditions (no wet roads or extra gravel on them). This came on a few times at first. Took it to the dealership (SeaCoast Chevrolet in Neptune, New Jersey). They could not duplicate the issue, so they gave me the truck back. Have been back 3 more times since then and still no resolution. This last time, truck stalled turning into a parking spot and the cruise control disengaged for no reason while I was doing 75 mph. This is dangerous and a major safety issue. It is now at the dealership and still have not been able to replicate the issue or come up with a solution. GM has been notified. The district manager (David **) has been involved. Have been told by many people at the dealership that they would call me back. No return calls. I have had to call them for answers. They are refusing to do anything extra besides wasting my time having make numerous trips to the dealership for repairs. They cannot perform along with major safety issues with the truck. On top of that, having to take time away from my work to do this. Extremely poor customer service on their part. Will not deal with them again once the lease is over. Handing in the keys and walking away never to return!!

Duramax LML injector pump failure - Metal shavings went through the fuel system. I need to replace all fuel lines and injectors along with the pump. Chevy says this is not common but the diagnosis is in their helm service manual. I took the injector pump apart and found that pistons in the pump can rotate, causing the roller bearing to cross the cam. That’s what makes the shavings. Bosch, the manufacturer of the pump, said its a GM design. I just want a better pump. The new pump is made the same as old one. $13,500.00 repair bill; help. Its GM and Bosch’s fault. I find it unacceptable. Someone is going to deal with this because Im going to keep making people aware. Thanks.

I own an 05 Avalanche as well as two Suburbans (99 and 09). I have had problems the last few years with the blower motor in my avalanche not working on all speeds, but since I was way past the normal warranty period, I decided to live with it until it stopped working completely. That happened about 6 months ago. I decided to go online for a video on how to fix the problem and lo and behold I find out that I should have been sent a letter from GM about the problem that extended the warranty. I never received these so I decided to call customer. By the way, I have Onstar service, and that would have been a great place to advise me of the problem and extended warranty. After explaining my situation with the first customer service rep, she said that there was an extended warranty for the problem and that I was outside of the coverage period. But, she continued, if you get go to a GM dealer and get it properly diagnosed we will still be able to help you out. I responded, you can still do something even though the warranty is out of date? She responded, yes, just call back after you have been to the dealership and have the paperwork. I told her, I can fix the problem myself if there is not going to be any coverage. She replied to get the truck diagnosed by GM and call back.So I went to the dealership and had it properly diagnosed as the problem, and had it fixed to a rate of almost $400. So then I called customer service back and got a different rep, who pulled up my file. She happened to be a tier 2 rep. She reviewed my file for a few minutes while putting me on hold, then came back and said, Im sorry but there is nothing we can do for you. I asked her to pull up the conversation that I had with the first rep, and she said that the first rep had given me improper information. I said thats great because that improper info cost me $400 instead of maybe $150 if I fix it myself. After battling back and forth with several managers over this they said as far as they are concerned that this was a she said-he said problem and they were not going to accept any fault. They said they could not find the original conversation transcripts. My family has been buying GM vehicles since 1974. Having spent 100s of thousands of dollars at their dealerships and they have no problem losing my business because one of their reps screwed up and they dont have the balls to put the customer first. Goodbye GM. You will never find me at one of your dealerships again. Youve lost one more loyal customer!!!

Own a 2011 Chevy Malibu and it started acting weird in late February 2016. Finally it just about stopped on the road so I called the dealership. He looked up my car (because I had been there before for service and a recall) and informed me my PowerTrain warranty was already expired. Mind you this wasnt even what I was asking about - I wanted to know if I could bring the car in to be looked at. So immediately it was off-putting. After he told me it was expired, he said they were extremely busy and I could try to bring it in but no guarantees. Well, since he was such a gentleman I obviously said no thanks and hung up. If my warranty is expired, its common knowledge that dealerships are more expensive so I figured I would take it to a local mechanic instead. Turns out the transmission needed a rebuild. It was completely shot. We are already living paycheck to paycheck so I immediately started to panic.Googling how much a repair like this costs and I was terrified... thousands of dollars. Either way, it had to be done because that is my only form of transportation. After a couple different mechanics looking at it, we settled on a mechanic in our town that specializes in transmissions. Got it fixed and it was a little over $3000. Not sure what possessed me to log in to the General Motors website, but I decided to just to see if there was anything out there as far as the transmissions on these particular cars. I had been reading up online and apparently transmission issues are very common in the model I have. After I entered my VIN, I saw that my Powertrain had NOT been expired as of the day I called for an appointment. It actually still had a full 24 hours on it! Cutting it close, but nonetheless! Either the service rep LIED because they were busy and he didnt want to deal with me or he just couldnt read a calendar. Either way, I have been screwed by GM and Paul Masse Chevrolet in East Providence, Rhode Island. Have been battling with GM Customer Service and all they can tell me is that dealerships are privately owned and they would like to offer me a year of SiriusXM or OnStar for my troubles. Im not giving up... The rep I spoke to was so slow to respond to me. Every time she said she would call the next day, and 2-3 days later shed finally call to say she was still working on it and trying to talk to the dealership. So basically I had to pay for their error, and they wont claim responsibility for their employees. It is disgusting.

I have owned GM products since the early 80s, including 2 Buicks, 2 Corvett
I have owned GM products since the early 80s, including 2 Buicks, 2 Corvettes, a Malibu, an Envoy and now a Terrain Denali. This included a full navigation system that listed at over $400. Just over a year after the purchase the navigation system stopped working, but since I did not use it, I did not bring it in to get to get fixed. I did bring it in just past the warranty period of 2 years and they were unable to service it that as the particular service tech that worked on these systems was not in. Finally got it in yesterday, 3 years after purchase and they want $728 to replace a interface control module. Yes its over the 2 year warranty period, so they are correct, but this is just too much. So much for customer loyalty. I have redeemed over $19,000 of the GM Card on new products and now I am cancelling and will never buy another GM product. Currently have over $3k credit on the card and cant use that to fix the navigation system either. This module also runs the ON-STAR system.

I am an owner of a 2013 Cadillac XTS. This vehicle is the third Cadillac car/truck I have owned. I am reaching out to you regarding case **. Ive leased the car in November of 2012, during this time I have had a serious safety issue and major concern. The brakes have failed on 4 different times. I have taken it to the shop, different reasonings why, but no complete/real answer. At this time I do not feel safe and confident driving the vehicle. The dealership which has it now, doesnt want to keep the car, stating it may not sell after. I am trying to get in contact with the sale manager at Crown Cadillac in Watchung NJ. As I will guess they would want me to take the vehicle to New Jersey to turn in, not sure what difference it would make. As stated the car isnt safe for my family, myself and possibly causing a crash on the road. After a week, they reached back to me, stating there is nothing they can or will do for me and have a nice day. Customer service for a loyal buyer, I think not. I will never purchase and/or lease a Cadillac vehicle again.

I purchased a new 2018 Chevy Traverse in July of 2018 from Hendrick Chevrolet in Cary, NC. It has now been in the shop for the third time, this time for 6 weeks because the part is not available. I find it hard to believe that a large manufacturer like GM does not have the part needed to fix my car. I am in the second loaner from the dealership and they are trying to switch me out again. I really dont think customer service is GMs specialty.

On June 2, 2016 an engine light came on as we were on the on ramp proceeding to the highway. Immediately our engine losing power light came on. My husband managed to get the vehicle safely off the road. The vehicle shut down and would not restart. It was towed to ORegans on Robie Street where it was diagnosed with fuel injectors that exploded thereby causing major issues. The vehicle had 118,000 km and the warranty expired at 110,000. Had the car repaired, $2500.00 later! I asked if the car had been test driven, the reply was no when it was the check engine light came back on. Now it needed rear sensors. That same evening the check engine light came back on so back to ORegans. Now the timing chain was gone!!! So another $2700.00.No one from ORegans or GM would extend the warrant. There will never be another GM product in our driveway their attitude with customers is, Oh well we can offer you $2500 off a brand new car. Ha they have to be kidding. After doing research and speaking with a couple of mechanics I find out GM knew they had injectors issues and timing chain issues which they are saying, Oh we never heard of any issues regarding the injectors or timing chain. I have been in touch with the local media and Yvonne Colbert has sent me a recall which I am going to try one more time with GM to see if we can come to a resolve on this issue. I know they have a good will warranty. Wish me luck!!!

I took my vehicle (2012 Equinox) to the dealership to have my piston rings replaced due to a recall. After having them replaced there was a noise coming from under the hood. I asked the dealership what was this noise, after having my vehicle for a month I was told that the noise is coming from a Vacuum which comes from the pistons not working properly. I was told that I must pay for this to be fixed because its not under warranty. My problem is that if the piston rings caused this and theres a recall for this, then the Vacuum problem should be in recall as well. I contacted GM and they told me the same thing the dealership said but added that this has not been seen in all vehicles. How many have to have this problem for GM to make it their priority? Not fair to pay for something that was caused by a recall!!!

My Disappointing Experience with General Motors and Leith Buick GMC of Wend
My Disappointing Experience with General Motors and Leith Buick GMC of Wendell NC. November 10, 2018, my vehicle began to misfire. I had the code pulled and contacted Ryan **, Service Advisor at Leith Buick GMC of Wendell NC, on November 12, 2018 to bring my vehicle for repair of cylinder 2 and 4 on November 17, 2018. By November 15, 2018, driving conditions worsened and I had to take the vehicle earlier than expected to Leith Buick GMC on November 16, 2018. They gave me a loaner to drive while they had my vehicle for service and repair. By November 20, 2018, Ryan ** confirmed the misfire was on cylinder 2 and 4, along with other mechanical issues found. Ryan ** gave me pricing for all of the repairs and we discussed options for a possible trade. He forwarded my information to a sales representative, which whom I met with on November 23, 2018.After deep thought and discussion, I declined to trade down to a 4 door sedan with higher payment and authorized cylinder 2 and 4 to be repaired only. November 28, 2018 the repairs authorized was implemented and paid in full. March 3, 2019 my vehicle began to misfire again. I had the code pulled and found that the misfire was on cylinder 2; one of the same cylinders that Leith repaired November 28, 2018. March 4, 2019 I contacted Ryan ** to discuss the issue and to find out if the parts were refurbished that was put on the cylinders because it did not last.Ryan ** stated they were not refurbished parts, but that they could have been bad. He stated that I could bring the vehicle back to them and they would repair it. I refused to put the vehicle under additional stress to drive over an hour and a half for to have the repairs done again. Ryan stated being that the repairs were under warranty; I could go to any GM dealership to have it repaired that was closest to me. I called three GM dealerships in my area: David Westcott Buick/GMC in Burlington, NC; Flow Buick GMC of Greensboro, NC; and Bill Black Chevrolet of Greensboro, NC. All were busy and stated that they would have to keep the vehicle for at least three days and did not have a loaner available for me to drive to get back and forth to work. So, my only other option was to purchase the parts and have the vehicle repaired by another mechanic.March 7, 2019, I purchased the parts and instructed the mechanic to save the engine ignition coil and spark plug on cylinder 2 so that I could take it back to the dealership. The mechanic repaired what I asked and gave me back the coil and spark plug. To my surprise it was not a Bosch coil. It was an aftermarket part that did not match the invoice. April 10, 2019 I changed cylinder 4 coil and spark plug. I asked the mechanic to again give me back the coil and spark plug. To my surprise cylinder 4 coil was aftermarket as well.April 19, 2019, I took the parts back to Leith Buick GMC. I spoke with Ryan ** about the issue. Ryan ** denied that that they put the parts on the vehicle. He stated that I did not know and they could have come off of cylinder 3 and 5. He berated me with questions on what side of the engine it came off of, left or right. He said the parts they use are Bosch and showed me one as an example, pointing out the difference in the part. That the parts they use have part numbers and the part that I brought back did not. He would not listen to me at all. He kept saying that because I took the vehicle to someone else for repair there was nothing that they could do. I reminded him of our conversation March 4, 2019 and that I tried to do what he said and enlightened him of the outcome from it. He also stated that maybe I brought the parts to him. I told him that I did not bring the parts to them and the only parts that I took to them that they did not put on was the intake cover gasket.Ryan was still not willing to listen to me. He claimed I hollered at him, which I did not. My voice became firmer because he was still insinuating sublimely that I was lying about the parts. I was merely trying to get my point across to him and was getting frustrated because he was not listening to me and insinuating that I was telling an untruth. I told him that I was not a mechanic but I knew what I purchased and had repaired. I told him that I was not going to drive over and hour and a half for a lie. I told him that those were the parts they put on that was taken off and that I wanted a refund. At this point, Ryan ** took the parts from his desk and placed them outside his door onto the sidewalk and told me to get out of his office. I told him that I would leave his office, and he sat back down in his chair. I told him before leaving that he knew they put those parts on my car and that they were no good. He then got up and walked away. I told him that I was going to have an investigation in their place of business to look at their records as he was walking away and then went outside to retrieve the parts placed on the sidewalk. I went back inside the dealership to find Ryan **. He was standing at a window to the billing office. I let him know that I was going to send the parts to the CEO of GM. 4/26/2019, Mailed failed equipment taken off of cylinder #2 and #4 to CEO, Mary Barr of GM. 5/6/2019, Spoke to Matt with GM Executive Office. He confirmed receipt of packaging and letter. He took down all details.5/8/2019, Spoke to Matt again with GM Executive Office. He stated he spoke with the service manager at Leith and the service manager assured him that they only use GM approved parts. The service manager stated that I was shown the parts they use. He stated because I did not take the vehicle back to them it could not be verified by GM that that they actually did it. He stated due to the age and mileage of the vehicle a loaner would not have been made available to me to drive. He stated that because the vehicle had previous owners that the parts could have been put on by them. So from all of the facts Leith Buick GMC of Wendell NC was not going to refund my money. I was told that if I had called the 800 number that maybe they could have worked something out. Matt also stated that they would have everything on file if it something more should come of this and that he would now consider the case closed.Matt with GM Executive Office, sided with Leith, their authorized dealership and basically said in not too many words that I was telling an untruth as well. Leith billed me for parts they claim they put on but never did. The parts that came off did not have the part numbers stated on the invoice. In closing, I am highly upset regarding the way I was treated and for the blatant disrespect shown by Ryan **. I feel if I had been a man of any race or a ** woman, he would have shown more respect, patience and listened to me. He would not have insinuated sublimely that I was lying. He would have immediately taken action to resolve the issue and apologized for the error. But because I am a ** woman, he felt he could disrespect me, talk to me any kind of way and sublimely call me a liar. As much as I like my Buick, I have decided to trade it for another make and model, namely their competition. I will not patronize a company that treats their consumers that way and call them liars sublimely.

I contacted GM motors complaints department many times regarding a cracked passengers airbag section. The full airbag compartment is cracked perfectly around the bag and my car is showing the sign of service airbag. Clearly this is a manufacturing problem. However, they are refusing to pay the service to check to ensure the airbag is safe. I will hold GM responsible for ANY damage that happens if the airbag inflates for no reason since the compartment is obviously cracked and in a perfect shape around the bag. I am too scared to even have a passenger sit in my car in the front out of fear that it could inflate at anytime with no proper cause. They continually and in writing have refused to pay for the service. They will be paying a whole lot more than $100 if this bag opens up suddenly in my car.ZERO HELP from their staff. You have to contact them multiple times to actually receive a reply. Multiple emails to have someone call you back. They give you their number and extension but NEVER answer their calls. When they call you back if you are not available next to your phone, dont expect them to answer your call back even if its seconds later. NEVER EVER BUYING A GM CAR EVER IN MY LIFE AGAIN. Guaranteed am also telling everyone I know the same. They are great as long as you are signing your cheques over for them, otherwise, NO ONE CARES for your safety or anything else. Am sure this review will also be insignificant to them, but at least if anyone wants to know the truth about them, they can read all the different opinions of real people before deciding.

I talked to a GM ambassador about getting off-warranty work done this month
I talked to a GM ambassador about getting off-warranty work done this month. My 2005 GMC Canyon warranty was extended to 2013 or 160,000km because of valve problems. My vehicle had 108,946km on it when the check engine light came. A Tirecraft shop examined the truck and said I had burnt valves. I phoned the GM rep and was told to take it to a GM dealership to confirm that. The dealership charged me $368.98 to confirm what Tirecraft had diagnosed for only $221.66. The dealership said that they would only knock 5% off the $6000 repair bill. GM knows how much these repairs cost so the company rep should have been up front with me about what could be done before I took the truck in. I wasted my time as the repairs are more than my truck is worth. GM had no plans to help me even before I brought my truck in.

I purchased a 2011 Chevy Impala LTZ from King Auto in 2012. It was certified pre-owned with very low mileage. It came with warranty coverage, but luckily I purchased additional extended warranty coverage. My first problem I had was the rack & pinion needing to be replaced. Then one day there was a knocking noise coming from the dashboard area, that turned out to be the acuator valves needing to be replaced. I had to go to the dealer twice about the acuator valves needing to be replaced. The acuator valves and rack & pinion problem was in 2013. For the next 3 years I did not experience any major problems, but in May of 2016 my L.E.D. readout display said SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL - SERVICE STABILITRAK!! Immediately after seeing that display, I experienced major engine failure and other mechanical problems. This happened without warning. My car was towed to Ourisman Chevy and they said that the engine needed to be replaced. The Chevy Impala only had 78,000 miles and it needed a new engine. My warranty plan paid for the engine to be replaced. Fast forward November 11, 2019. Im coming from visiting my mother. My Chevy is riding smooth, no problems. Then suddenly without warning, my check engine light begins flashing, the motor starts rumbling and losing power, and the display says SERVICE STABILITRAK - SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL. The same problem from 2013 happened again. Plus my Onstar daignostic report confirmed the same problems. The next day Im at the dealership, Ourisman Chevy, and after hours of diagnosing my car they bring me to the back of the shop, and the mechanic working on my car shows and tell me that my pistons were misfiring thousands of times and that the camshaft was damaged. He said there was no way to repair the damage and that the engine would have to be replaced. The service tech then tells me that its only going to cost $4,500 plus other expenses to get my Chevy back on the road. My car had 126,014 miles on the odometer. I want to say that my extended warranty company at the time replaced my engine with an engine that had 38,000 miles on it, and my car had 78,000 miles when the engine went bad in 2013. This means that the second engine only lasted for a little more than 48,000 miles. I want to also add that my neighbor and co-worker also owned the same Chevy, same year, and the also experienced the same exact problem with the rack & pinion, acuator valves and ultimately the STABILITRAK SYSTEM failing thereby causing all 3 of us disappointment in this product. My co-worker stated that his car had 126,000 miles when his STABILITRAK SYSTEM and other problems occurred. My neighbor and co-worker had to replace their Chevys too.On November 11, 2019 when my Chevy Impala died for the second time with the same problem, I did not have an extended warranty. I will never purchase another Chevy product. I am terribly disappointed, and I hope that they read this review. I also hope that they have corrected the STABILITRAK SYSTEM on the newer Chevy Impalas.

9/15/17- Purchased 2014 Chevy Equinox, also paid $2500 for an extended warranty with CNA National. 7/18/18 - Vehicle just shut off while driving for maybe 10 minutes. It felt as if the battery had died. Please note I had no other issues prior to this with the vehicle. Tried to start it, and it sounded as if someone was playing the drums under my hood. Pushed car to safe location, and went home for the evening.7/19/18 – I got a ride to the vehicle with hopes of it starting. Same thing happened. So, I reached out to my warranty company (CNAN) and was told that I can have the vehicle towed through their Roadside Assistance to a repair shop of my choice, and once an estimate was prepared, they would pay over the phone with a credit card. I had the vehicle towed to Quality Buick GMC in Alton, IL. 7/20/18 - Received a call from Quality that timing chain was busted, along with several other items, and engine was full of sludge. They stated I was still covered under GM Powertrain warranty and they submitted all of the information to GM, and got me a rental through Enterprise.7/24/18 - Received a call from Quality stating that GM declined repairs, and now extended warranty company would not pay for the rental I had for days. I contacted GM and requested a supervisor to discuss options. Supervisor stated that they would review case and contact me within 2 days. With the vehicle having under 100,000 miles, she didn’t see any reason why they wouldn’t cover it. She asked where the vehicle was located and I started Quality Buick GM in Alton, after searching their database, she said they were not certified to do the repairs, and the vehicle would have to be towed to another location. She reached out to Jack ** in Wood River, and also as a courtesy, reached out to Chevy Roadside assistance to do a Dealer to Dealer transfer at no cost to me. I was very grateful for that. She said the roadside assistance company would reach out to me within 20 minutes, and gave me a number to call if they did not. 45 minutes went by and I called Chevy Roadside Assistance to follow up on the transfer. Of course, they had no information, and was not eligible for the transfer. I contacted GM Warranty again, and they said she was not allowed to do that, and there was nothing they could do at that moment, and case was re-opened and pending investigation. Reached out to CNAC (extended warranty company) and Roadside Assistance wasn’t available with them either until 7 days from last time used. Frustrated, I hang up, and look for other options online. I received a call from Allstate Ins. that they were attempting to pick up the vehicle, but there was a $300 balance with Quality Pontiac before vehicle could be transferred. They stated they were called out by Chevy Roadside Assistance, who just told me they had no information for transfer. So, I reached out to Quality for information on balance owed. They stated $100+ for opening up the engine, and the remaining balance was for the rental. Also, vehicle would not be released until balance was paid. I explained to them that GM Warranty needed a Certified Dealer to estimate repairs, and they informed me they are a certified dealer. I called GM Warranty back to let them know what was going on, and they said the other person I talked to must be new, or not know what she is doing, because Quality is a certified dealer. I would only be getting charged more money by having another dealer open up the engine to do the estimate. I explained to them I would be leaving the vehicle at Quality, and gave them the contact info for the service department for investigation on repairs.7/26/18 - Received a call from GM Warranty that repairs would not be covered due to it not being a manufacturer defect. That was their final answer. I spoke with 2 different service departments, Quality, and Jack ** and they stated there is no way the sludge in the engine could have been caused in the 10 months I’ve had the vehicle. Oil changes were always done on time, and I have proof of that. So, how it is that I now have a car with $6000+ damages, and a 14,000 balance on, $600 balance for rental + Quality doing estimate, and I’m responsible. I drive my car to make a living, and not only am I without a car, I’m now also without a job. I am beyond frustrated, and any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Chevy Corsa 1.4i, vehicle not repaired properly - I bought a brand new vehicle. Three days later, I contacted the dealer and reported a faulty air con. I straightaway asked for a new car and was told that it has to be repaired and that it was the air con unit box in the dashboard. After a month and a half, I was told my car is ready for collection. On inspection, my fuse box cover was damaged and was replaced by a demo vehicle. The front of my bumper was damaged and had to go to the panel beaters for a re-spray after one of the workshop guys (unprofessional) try to touch it up with paint, causing more damage. After I received it back, I returned it within 24 hours complaining my left mirror cover is not lining up like the right hand side. One of the guys tried to repair it (not the same guy who assembled the job) after I received it back, they broke the right hand side leaving it out of its bracket and a big gap. I was told then, that I must return the vehicle in two weeks when the guy who assembled my car will be back from leave. When I try and put my car in reverse, the gears are scratching badly before it goes in. I feel that my car was not worked on by professional and my life is in danger with the gears scratching believing it might jam while I am driving or leave me stranded.

GM customer service and appreciation is so poor, I’ll never again purchas
GM customer service and appreciation is so poor, I’ll never again purchase a GM product, after my husband and I have been loyal GM owners all our lives. On October 13th, we were in an unfortunate vehicle accident where my vehicle has been in the repair shop since October 17th. Since this time, parts for my vehicle repair are still in an “Unknown” status. The dealership escalated parts with GM as unavailable on October 31st, however after not being able to receive an ETA, I reached out to GM directly to escalate this concern on December 3rd. December 5th was able to speak to my case worker who reached out to the dealership on the same day. December 10th, I was finally provided an update from my case worker but only confirming all the details I already knew; My parts are unavailable, escalation has been file by dealership, and they would be sent when they are available (no ETA). The only detail he provided me that I wasn’t aware of was GM wasn’t the point of contact, my dealership was and there was nothing more GM could do. My case worker was unsympathetic in every conversation we’ve had, only re-iterating the whole country has been impacted by the GM strike. I then emailed the CEO of Chevrolet, Mary Barra, on December 10th, in which I received another case work. After patiently waiting, finally received a call December 15th from my new case worker. This one was worst than the last in regards to customer service. Saying the same thing as the last case worker about the GM strike and parts not available, only worse, she kept insisting my case first escalated on December 10th. I’m sure you can imagine how far my frustration had gone by this point. I requested to speak to her manager since it was obvious she was only performing the same actions as the last case worker, only more poorly. I was given a 24-48 hour turn around. Finally, December 22, got a call from her manager and again got nowhere, no update. Today is December 29 and GM still has no update on parts for my vehicle yet they are still pushing the same vehicles to production.

Service center completely scammed me. If I could give it a zero I would. Took my car in a year ago because it was stalling. They said they fixed it for $400 which some was covered under warranty. They replaced timing chain and gaskets. Still stalling so recently I had aftermarket solenoids put in. It was still stalling and check engine light came. Took it to Gordon’s and John ** told me it would be $542 and that’s it’s because I had aftermarket solenoids. I was hesitant, but he convinced me it would be running good after. Next day he calls me and tells me it will be over $1400. But at this point they already changed the solenoids and that didn’t work. They misdiagnosed the problem. I tell them forget it and pick up my car. On the work order for the 1400 they have timing chain, gaskets and actuator. The same things they supposedly fixed a year ago. They still charged me $500 for the solenoids. Paid $500 for absolutely nothing and check engine lights still on. Nothing fixed for $500. I will be putting in a complaint through the state of Michigan. We actually have also talked to our cousin who is a lawyer. I feel like they took advantage of me because I am a woman. Also when I questioned him he hung up on me!

GM provides a full bumper to bumper warranty on their new cars as well as 2
GM provides a full bumper to bumper warranty on their new cars as well as 24-hour roadside assistance program if your car happens to break down. As a consumer you are entitled to a tow and transportation to your home, work, or dealer. As I read in my contract after buying a new car from GM. My new car unfortunately broke down in an extreme way at only 300 miles due to water pump failure and engine overheat. Naturally I cannot drive the car anymore and have to pull over to side of the road and call GM 24 roadside assistance. This breakdown is a bummer, but it happens. Overall the call goes well. I am told a tow truck is on its way as well as a cab to take me home. Sounds fine. Except none of this happens.I call again after over an hour. Apparently there is no record of the tow trucks being sent or the cab. They apologize and resubmit the requests for me. Okay, mistakes happen. Again I wait for a tow and cab, but they never come. I call a third time. Same issue. So my request is resubmitted. I wait again, nothing comes. Its getting near 10pm now. Real bummer for me. Eventually I get a tow truck though. No cab. Reason? Cab cant be located. Weird. I get a cab via my phone app shortly afterward. That was a fun 5 hours.Since my car wasnt picked up till after 10pm, dealers are closed and I could not be given a loaner car (which you are entitled to if your car breaks down under warranty) to take me to work the next day. This is fine though since I am told GM can provide transportation to either the dealer or my work the next morning. Next morning I call GM roadside assistance. They say they will get me a ride to work. They call back 30 minutes later, they cannot provide me a ride to work. I ask for a ride to the dealer. They say okay. They call back 45 minutes later and say they cannot get me a ride to the dealer. I call my local dealer rather than 24 roadside assistance - they come pick me up and provide me with a loaner. Guess I shouldnt rely on promised services from GM directly. Conclusion: GMs 24 roadside assistance has obligations that they failed to meet in my situation. I do not understand why. If something is promised, but not provided, there should be accountability. I have not the time or resources to hold GM accountable, but the fault does not vanish. If GM cannot execute on obligations then they should not be stated to the consumer when vehicle is being purchased. One main reason I purchased a new car was the security of a warranty and assistance from GM if poor car operation became an issue. The car issue happened unfortunately, but GM failed to rise to its promises.GMs problem: big on promises, poor on execution. It was cheaper to screw me then to make good on a promise of service. As one person, what can I reasonably do? How can I reasonably prove lack of service effort on GMs part? GM knows the average consumer has neither the time or awareness on how to stand up for themselves. Thanks GM, you swindled me good. Even after going through bankruptcy, which as I recall we citizens paid for, GM still stutters about on cost savings of value proposition. Thanks US government, you made us pay for it. Next time, let capitalism run its course.

We bought a 2011 GMC Terrain SLT brand new from the dealer. At 19,000 miles the AC compressor went out, warranty covered that expense. 2 years later the compressor had a leak and the dealer recharged the compressor. This was done without our knowledge while we had the vehicle in for an oil change. At 90,000 miles we had a new transmission installed for $4200. That was our fault for not getting rid of the Terrain. In 2017 the check engine light came on, we were told it was a sensor for the exhaust. 2 days ago the AC compressor went out again. The Terrain was back at the dealer today. We were told the compressor was bad and needed replacing, $1000. The check engine light was really the timing chain needed to be replaced $2000. The vehicle has 115000 miles on it and I cant afford to have it fixed. GMC should step up to the plate and give me and my wife some assistance. We are both retired living off social security!!

Buyers beware. I have a 2012 Silverado 3500 Dually with 6.6 motor. Had many issues with this motor but the big one was at 150,000 miles it busted the crank. Yes I said the CRANK BUSTED. I was covered for 120,000 but this was a factory problem but GM would not cover this at all. This cost me 10,000 to put a new motor in. All I pulled with this truck once a month I pulled a RV to LA. So looks like my next truck will be a Dodge.

Updated on 02/01/2020: I didnt get the car back until Dec due to the strike. I filed a claim with GM and requested either a new car or reimbursement. They refused to give me a new car and agreed to the reimbursement. They are only willing to reimburse me 2 car payments but had my car for a total of 3 months. Ive had to provide statements from my finance company and personal bank statements to show proof that I made those car payments just so they can reimburse me. Talk about feeling like a valued customer! Me paying my car note has nothing to do with me being inconvenienced over a product that I bought from YOU! They are telling me the dealership has to process my reimbursement because it will move a lot faster, however I got my car back mid December, it is almost February and I am still dealing with this and havent received anything! I am very dissatisfied with GMs customer service and the way they treat their customers! I will never purchase another GM car and I definitely wont be referring any one to either! I have a cousin who experienced some of the same issues with Dodge and her experience was smooth sailing! Original Review: I purchased a 2019 Chevy Camaro in June 2019 due to a car accident and my previous car being totaled which was a Dodge (Challenger). I had the Camaro for 90 days then had to put it in the shop due to safety issues! Passenger Airbag broken! This is a brand new car in which I should not be experiencing these type of problems. My car has been in the shop for almost 2 months now due to GM being on strike and the part to fix my car has not been available and no one can tell me when. I was told GM would not give me a new car but would compensate me once the problem is fixed! **! Im having to pay a car note for a BRAND NEW CAR that I cant even enjoy! VERY UPSETTING! Im totally dissatisfied with GM and I wish I never purchased this car! Shouldve just stuck with DODGE!

I know GMC is not recalling that product because it is not a safety issue, that is their way out. Come on GMC, you put out a junk CUE product, stand behind it. Sign said Free engine code light analysis, so I did. They read the code then told me it would be $50 to diagnose it. I thought that was what they did. I gave them the money, then I was told $300 more for repair. I made the appointment, they reread codes again, and it was a different problem. But it would fix the first problem according to a bulletin. It was the same $300, but they charged $80 more for the part than GM online parts and somehow got the time to total 1.5 hr after a .5 credit for the first reading. And still, they had my vehicle in and out of the shop in 1 hr and 15 minutes. GM told me this is not within their control and when your warranty runs out, so does your luck and their responsibility for faulty builds.

As an owner of a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, a GMC Sierra, and having previously owned a 2010 Buick Enclave, I know I will never choose to purchase another GM Vehicle. I have had almost identical problems with the two SUVs. Both had major problems with steering, where the steering wheel locks up and will not turn quickly (almost as if the power steering goes out). This is extremely scary when you are making a turn while yielding to oncoming traffic. I had this repaired in my Enclave and it required removing the motor to repair $$$. The Traverse has had very similar problems with the timing chain which needs to be replaced (just as it happened with the Enclave). I just had the AC blower and a tire sensor replaced and was told by the mechanic that the timing chain would still be covered under warranty since the car has less than 120K miles so I went ahead and let them do the other repairs ($600 worth) only to find out that the timing chain ($3500) would not be covered under the warranty. The car is now losing power so Im sure it wont last much longer. These cars are junk after a few years and each time I called Chevrolet Cares and they would do absolutely nothing to help.

I own a 2017 Equinox, with less than 65,000 miles on it, so out of warranty
I own a 2017 Equinox, with less than 65,000 miles on it, so out of warranty by mileage by less than 2,000 miles but by year covered until 2021. My car broke down on the highway, and after getting it to a Chevy dealership I was told that I need to completely replace my engine! I had been driving my car for a solid 30 minutes before my car broke down, with no warning lights, or indication that something was wrong. I receive the diagnostic reports every month and in the last report sent to me in January nothing indicated that something was wrong with my engine. The only reason I called GM to see what they could do was because I was not far out of my warranty, I had never had a single issue with my car or major work done, and till that point been very satisfied with GM. Since I was out of warranty by mileage GM refused to help cover the cost ($5,000 just for the engine and $2,400 service and labor), and that the best thing that could be offered was what the dealership offered which was $300 off, and a $250 mail and rebate! When I asked to speak to someone above a Senior advisor, they told me that no one is able to talk to a district manager, or regional manager since theyre traveling to dealerships all the time and dont have time to talk. So I just had to swallow the fact that I had to pay $7,400 out of pocket. I love my car, and when I got my car back I was so happy! BUT... I am fearful that as I continue to drive this car, or a GM product I am setting myself up for another massive expense. I will not be speaking highly of GM products and I will never be purchasing a GM product ever again. This is a large large large Corporation, and I did not go to customer service with a car that had 100,000+ miles or with a car that was 5+years old. I came to you with a 2-year-old car and with less than 65,000 miles on it and received no help, or even met half way! If anyone is looking for advice or on the fence about making a purchase of a GM car Do not go through with it.

Would like to any other people have experienced this? Contacted GM and was told it passed warranty so it was my problem. Been buying new GM trucks for 35 plus years and could not even get anyone in management to discuss the matter. Requested warranty manager information and was informed that could not be given out. Anjelica dismissed my complaint and request by knowing how I feel? Now I have a vehicle that should be very valuable as a trade in that has lost most of its value due to a GM defect in its process.Working as a supplier for many years GM finds any defect products from a supplier they put them on third party inspection at the suppliers cost even if it puts them out of business. This is in stark contrast to Honda for example who send their best engineers from the company to help solve any issues with no cost to the supplier. Tried to find a place on the GM website to ask this but guess they did not provide that so people would not see their lack of quality control.

Every time I call the 844-656-5369 rebate center phone number, I am given another excuse that will delay the distribution by 4 more weeks. There is no regard for customer service or a sense of urgency. This is my second experience with GM Service Rebates with the same results. Numerous calls are required resulting in extended delays. GM should honor distribution of the rebate in the advertised 8 week time frame. If I am lucky this time, I may receive the rebate within 25 weeks. Handling rebates in this way does not provide an incentive to service my Buick at the dealership.

I have no choice but drive it as it is my only source of transportation. Lemon law attorneys are only concerned about getting their fee and GM offer to buy back with drastic deductions for depreciation for a few thousand dollars when my car loan was 25,000 plus thousands still owed. When the oil gets low no warning lights come on. The dealer says it will be a minimum 3000 dollars to fix and very its very possible the motor would have to be replaced. It would seem that General Motors doesn’t understand customer satisfaction. Before today, if you would ever ask me what car to buy, I would always recommend a GM vehicle. It will be long time before I do that again. Through my local dealer I ordered a part 2 weeks ago, for which they took my money to order it, the part has shipped to one of the GM warehouses, who doesn’t seem to have any urgency to release to the dealer from which I purchased it.Even the dealer has no luck requesting the release of the part and GM customer service says I have to work through the dealer to get the part released because once it has shipped from GM, GM is no longer responsible for it, even though, according to my local dealer, this warehouse 75 is the GM centralized distribution center. I am now waiting on a supervisor from GM customer service to call me back. 24 to 48 hours although in the meantime I am stuck driving on a cracked GM rim that could go out at any time. Being a GM owner all my adult life, this has me frustrated and has developed a true regret in standing by GM all these years. General Motors, you have lost a long term supporter.

October 20, 2019 my 2016 GMC Canyon Duramax went into limp mode. It has essentially been in dealer shop since then. Parts delays, major parts replacements have all resulted in the same failure codes. GMC resolution group (I’m now on my third rep) has admittedly trying and the local dealer as well, however it’s been over 150 days and still no ‘resolution’. On one hand I do have a loaner even though I am out of warranty, on the other I do not have my customized truck I use to manage my ranch where we live, and my most recent rep is essentially telling me ‘we are in the driver’s seat and you can wait until we fix it or you can come get it’. No more “yes sir we understand and we are trying”. I guess they are tired of my frustration but after 150 days one would think they could fix their own product. I don’t think they will be able to figure it out if they haven’t by now and wonder what the process is for my truck? Will they buy it back or simply tell me to come pick it up and charge me for repairs and parts that did not work??? Not happy with GMC but I guess they are doing what they can, which is not resulting in a successful repair of happy customer. :(

I love the leather interior, the moonroof and the dual closure. I also like the door and window locks, the automatic seats and that they remember which driver you are. I like the interior design and the colors of both interior and exterior. The seats are very comfortable as well. I dislike however how far back the seat belts are attached. Also the center console takes up a lot of space but the way its designed it doesnt hold much so its wasting space.

I am writing this complaint as I am very disappointed the way my whole purchase and ownership experience. I feel that a profit motivation has ruled the decision making process and customer service non existent. Firstly at the purchase of our 2012 Chevrolet Cruz, one major significant item was not offered and when we became aware of this item we were told it was too late. Then on the first trip we hit a pothole and damaged two tires. No problem, we have warranty. But even the dealership gave us the vehicle with three tires with a maximum of 21 PSI 2 at 18. We paid for this as no one was responsible. We noticed on the side mirror at the outset what we perceived to be polish dust. Upon the initial washing we became aware that it was actually a defect. We drove to the dealership only to be told we will sort it out. However, after repeated complaints we were told it was never written down and you now are out of warranty. GM in their infinite wisdom agreed and refused to change them. Managers looking at the mirrors have said off the record that it is definitely a flaw, but I guess in this experience it will be up to us to solve it. Other items which were not on the warranty. Replace the brake disk and the pads at 30,000 KM (As a former Rally racer this is absurd). The air conditioning works poorly to say the least, even I had to pay to change to replace all the filters. There is a power surge from the gearbox at gear change - still unresolved but we are out of warranty.I worked at GM and this is something I never saw from a quality perspective. I am also a second generation GM owner as my father lived and breathed GM and owned GM cars for approximately fifty years. At this point Big Brother and its profits have lost a customer and I will never consider a GM product again. I can assure you I will expound my experiences to prospective buyers as well. I have never favored Lemon Laws but I now realise that they have a place and are needed to protect customers. Thank you for reading.

That is inaccurate info, as I have no delinquencies at all, and would not have a FICO score of 803 if there were such. (see attached w/ score), yet I was APPROVED by VYSTAR at their best rate for used cars8. A so-called Customer Exp Mgr ** emailed and said some words followed by A HAND WASH for my troubles. Wow! If you like being both confused and getting the runaround - OR - a free hand-wash, choose this place. I hate to break the suspense to you, but if I ran the joint, I would offer more than a hand-wash! PLEEZ, Mr. **, that added about a GALLON of HIGH OCTANE FUEL to the FIRE. I even went as far as to share w/Mr. ** that my dissatisfaction with the dealership was too far gone and I have told over 15 people. No one cares, yet they talk like they do. P.S. My fuel system control module failed at about 90,000 km. Looked up the info
My fuel system control module failed at about 90,000 km. Looked up the information on the web and found an outstanding recall for failed FSCM on my truck manufactured from June to August. My truck was made in June. Took the truck to the dealer, and was told my VIN number was 92 trucks before the recall began. Thats made on the same day or the day before, and my part failed the exact same way as described in the recall. My part was not covered, so GM charged me $900 for the repair. This was annoying, but they do have a legal leg to stand on, as theyre the ones who set the beginning of the recall, not us. VIN numbers started for recall when they believed the faulty parts hit the production line, but obviously they were off by at least a hundred. How do we know whether they got it right? I assert they did not. All they offered me in compensation - because Ive been buying GM products for 24 years - was a $200 pre-paid visa card for use at a dealership, and only for regular service, not repairs. Since then Ive also had multiple incidences of a trio of fault codes that shut down all my winter safety systems - four-wheel drive, traction control, and stabilitrak. Every time I take the truck to the dealer they reset the codes and say theres nothing wrong with the truck. Im at $400 for this problem, with no resolution. These systems are vital to driving safely where I work in northern BC, so when these codes are activated I lose the things I need most. The computer will not reset the codes even though nothing is currently wrong with the vehicle, and Im forced to drive around without my main safety components until a dealer can make time to soak me for a repair bill to reset them.GM has built in faults that could reset on their own, but dont, and make you go to the dealer to pay plenty of money and fix what isnt broken. If the codes actually identified which part is intermittently causing them, at least I could have that part changed out and the vehicle would be reliable. To top it all off, the vehicle is much less safe to drive with these features disabled, so my life is at risk until I get there. This is flat out extortion.

In October of 2016 the engine light came on, and it was discovered to have been caused by the mass airflow system. I had this part replaced but within a few days the light was on again. I brought the car back to the shop and the part was replaced a second time. Upon test drive, the light again came back on. A third part was ordered and replaced. When the light came on for the fourth time, my mechanic ran through the wiring system but did not find anything out of the ordinary. He ran checks on the gas pedal and various other sensors. He then deduced that the problem was not with any of the sensors, nor any of the mechanical systems in the vehicle. He thought it might be the ECM, but advised me to bring the car to Central Chevrolet to have them look deeper into the issue. The Astra was taken to Central Chevrolet, where they subsequently ran diagnostics and discovered that the ECM was, in fact, bad. I inquired about purchasing an ECM from a parts site that I will not name, but was informed that GM would be unable to or would not program the computer unless it was an OEM part. At this point, my hands were tied. I would have to spend $700 on the part if I wanted my car to run properly again. I bit the bullet and told them to go ahead and move forward with the repair.Central Chevrolet received the part and assigned one of their GM technicians to begin the programming. As the process neared completion, the ECM was bricked. A second ECM was purchased and a second, more qualified GM tech was assigned to do the programming. He was on the phone with either a TAC or TISS representative I cant recall which and together they went through the programming process step by step. Again, the programming failed toward the end and bricked the part. It was not until after this second part failed that GM decided to inform the service department at Central Chevrolet that the pre-2009 Saturn software for this part is no longer available. So here I am now, six months after the engine light first came on and at least six weeks without my vehicle. As I was without the car for several days here and there for troubleshooting between October and March, the inconvenience is even greater. How can GM just let software go away for a car that is not even ten years old? Its software, its not like its taking up a bunch of space in a warehouse somewhere. Additionally, how does GM sell a part to a repair shop TWICE without advising that the software required to make it work no longer exists? And then to wait until AFTER the second part bricks?I called GMs customer service line and spoke with Joe, who sent me to Shaneva. Shaneva informed me that she would call Central Chevrolet for more details, and that I would have to wait 24-72 hours before receiving an update. The call came at the 72nd hour. When Shaneva informed me that in lieu of a resolution, I was being offered an Owners Loyalty Certification, I asked to be directed to a supervisor. I was told my call would be returned within 24-48 hours. I received no response within that time frame, and I actually had to call back again.I have since retrieved my car from Central Chevrolet. It is now in much worse condition than it was when I brought it in, and the vehicle is simply not safe to drive. I expected the original issue to still be a problem. I did NOT expect to be left with a car that I can no longer drive AT ALL! I have been a GM customer/vehicle owner for over 20 years, and I have never had a problem, until now. I am extremely disappointed in the way this situation has been unfolding. When I purchase a car, I expect it to get old and to need repairs. I also expect to have the choice of whether to make those repairs. In this situation, not only do I have no choice, but GM has the gall to offer me an Owners Loyalty Certificate with the expectation that I would purchase another GM product.

I bought a 2010 Equinox. After I bought it I noticed that there is rust in the bottom of all the doors. Also the paint is starting to bubble up under all the doors. I contacted Chevrolet customer services. They assigned my complaint to a senior adviser. The senior adviser contacted the dealer where I got the car from and made an appointment for them to look at the car. The dealer recognizes that there was a problem however they declined to do anything about it because according to them even though there’s a problem the rust havent ate through the doors yet. I did some researches and there is other customers complaining about the same issue. I’m an very unhappy customer. I paid 16,700 dollars for this car and the car have a factory defect that they wont address. The dealer claim it will fixed it if I come up with 3,100. I feel like I have been ripped off.

I have a 2015 Silverado 1500 and generally love the truck. However I recently noticed clearcoat is peeling all around truck. This is abnormal. Professional paint shop says faulty paint job. Dealer says they wont help. GM customer service says not their problem. This is not right. It clearly is a manufacturer issue that Im sure others are experiencing. I would like help from GM but nothing. I had 1997 Sierra with perfect paint to day I sold it. Ive had and have 2 Buick Enclaves with no issues. This is a Silverado issue that GM and dealers not standing behind. Beware.

It has been 3 months since GM has classified our truck as a lemon, and still do not have a replacement truck. After complying with documents 3 times to Henry and getting little to no help we were turned over to Sean who has only been slightly better. If you ask to speak to his supervisor first he will then call you back, then today being told by Sean that he contacted the Dealership about ordering us a new truck, then checking with that dealership and being read the emails from Sean this was not the case. I was told that we had to find a like truck and send the VIN # which I have but the truck is sold by the time Sean gets around to replying to the emails I send. This whole experience has caused extreme hardship as I need the truck to tow our trailer to Houston for my Husbands cancer treatments and it has been a financial burden driving and paying for Hotels as well as compromising my Husbands health by staying in Hotels, etc. All we want is a truck to replace the Lemon Truck we have so I can keep my Husband safe in our own trailer.

Tedd Britt Chevrolet (Sterling, VA) and General Motors has given me the run around. They have shown gross negligence by refusing to replace my newly purchased 2020 Silverado 1500. I have been tossed around from manager to manager, from advisor to advisor. Nobody wants to be the one caught with the customer (me) in a potential lawsuit:I have put less than 15,000 miles on the vehicle, hardly owned six months. First owner. The vehicle has been in FIVE TIMES for various electrical issues including brake system failures (x3), and most recently the vehicle shut off while I was traveling +60mph. I fear for my safety. See attached invoice photos. Their staff sees you as a number - a price tag. Their “Customer Experience Manager” did not even look at me, he talked over me, and downright refused to help me - would not even give me the customer service phone number. He said it was not his problem. Incredible. Don’t waste your time, or your safety. Buy a Ford.

Driving 42 Years I have always owned a GM Vehicle. After I finish paying off this 2016 Lacrosse I will never purchase another GM Vehicle again. I took my Car into Elk Grove Buick twice in two weeks suspecting a Transmission problem. They did their little computer check which showed nothing but I was still having the same issues. I took it to a independent service provider DK Automotive 712 E 18th St Antioch, CA 94509 and they listened and found the issue an internal problem with the transmission but they couldnt do the work because its still under the powertrain warranty but they did get in contact with a Chevrolet in Concord CA and I had the car transferred to them and they Concurred With DK after doing their own testing. Spoke with the Dealership today and they wont have the Car ready until Tuesday. Oh I also had to pay DK $150.00 to do the work that Elk Grove Buick should have done. I also was working with ** of GM PH# 866-790-5600 EXT ** who was going along with Elk Grove Buick and was willing to be a go between but wasnt pushing the envelope then had the nerve to tell me today that at least we found the issue. No (I) with my persistence, Footwork, and money found the issue. She also told me the rental Im forced to drive is not covered because its not a GM vehicle and they only cover three days of rental even though its taking more than three days to fix the vehicle. So Im done with GM. They just Kicked a long time customer to the curb.

I took my 2016 Terrain into a dealership because there was a vibrating in the front when I braked. They said all the rotors were warped and had to be replaced under warranty but the pads were not covered. I asked if we could leave the pads and just do rotors. They said there was lots of pad left but it was uneven wear because of the warped rotors and if I didn’t change them it would void warranty if anything else happened. So I had no choice. I said, Fix it. Replacing both sets of pads was $410 and I called GM multiple times and they keep telling me it’s a wear and tear item and it’s not covered but in this case it’s not wear and tear. It was their defective rotors that ruined the pads. They won’t listen to me. They keep saying it’s wear and tear and they won’t cover it. I am absolutely frustrated and fuming. GM is trying to brush this off but it’s not going to happen! I am not going away!

I purchased a 2015 Silverado from Advantage Chevrolet in Bolingbrook, Il. After a short time I began to notice a vibration in the truck. When traveling between 45 mph and 55 mph and more so when traveling between 65 mph and 75 mph. The vibration is noticeable as the water bottle in the center council shakes and the hood and rear view mirror vibrate. This is a new truck, currently less than 6,000 miles. I am a long time GM owner, have purchased somewhere around 15 new GM vehicles and owned at least another 5 used vehicles. I am 54 years old and consider myself to be a long and faithful GM customer. This very well may change in the near future.I took my vehicle back to the dealer for service, they said it was operating within normal tolerances. I asked how that could be and how they came to that conclusion? I was told they hooked it up to monitors and compared it to another vehicle (same make and model) and they both gave the same results. After much discussion and me expressing my displeasure, I was told that there was a bulletin out from GM dated 6/23/2016 that tells the dealerships to not attempt to fix the issue any longer as they have changed tires, rotated tires, balanced tires and replaced rims with no success at eliminating the problem. The GM bulletin states that they are aware of the issue and trying to come up with a fix.I called a customer service number (800-222-1020) and created a case number (**). I was told by the dealer that this would create a case and it would elevate until it was resolved. I was told by the complaint line that they would contact the dealer and get back to me with their findings within 48 hours. When they got back to me (approximately 51 hours later) I was told that the dealer had done everything they could and the case was closed. I asked to speak with a higher level manager from the organization and was turned over to a senior consultant (Crystal). She reaffirmed that the case was resolved and that I could not speak to anyone else and have no other options. I attempted to call back to other times and speak with someone else, once I spoke with James who assured me that the case would be re-opened and Crystal would not be involved any longer. James also stated that Crystal should have let me speak to another consultant and what she did was wrong. In the end, the case went back to Crystal and she closed the case with no resolution.Needless to say, I am a very dissatisfied GM customer (soon to be a former GM customer) and am finding it very hard to get in contact with anyone at GM and seems to care about the customer. $40,000.00 truck that vibrates, a company that knows they have a problem as they sent out a bulletin but does not want to speak to the customer about the issue. The sad thing is, I just want to know what they are doing to try and identify the issue and fix it. Unfortunately, I will not own the truck much longer, will not buy GM products any longer and will lose money due to their poor customer service and lack of commitment to their customers. GM apparently doesnt need repeat customers. If by chance a GM Representative reads this, please contact me. I would love to discuss this issue and the extremely poor customer service representatives you have fielding your complaints at the 800 number above. I can say some of the representatives were trying to help. The senior rep should be in another line of work.

My dashboard is caving in. I contacted GM. They asked me to take it to a dealer, which I did. Now, they are telling me that this is due to the age of my vehicle. I have owned plenty of vehicles and never have I experienced my dashboard to cave in. My vehicle has 120,000 miles. They are telling me it is no longer covered. My vehicle is a 2007. Ive owned vehicles with 200,000 miles and Ive never had my dashboard cave in. This is a safety concern. The airbag cover is popped out. And there are two cracks around the airbag. I dont feel safe to have people in the passenger seat of my vehicle. The door handles are also chipped, and have cut myself and passengers in my vehicle. Because of provisions in the special campaign, they are refusing to correct the problem. GM didnt have a problem financing me for 7 years, or taking my $30,000 plus when I purchased my vehicle. But now, they are refusing to fix their faulty product.

I called GM customer service to get an understanding to why the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix have not been recalled. My ignition cylinder, ignition switch & wiring had to be replaced, the wiring had melted which could have resulted in a fire. I expressed this with the customer service, moreover the overwhelming complaints found on the internet. The best they could do was note it in their computer system and IF they decided to recall the year I would be notified. It is a sad and sick day when a company who is already being sued for not acknowledging safety issues previously will continue to turn a blind eye to such a massive issue. It says a lot about how much they value business and safety of their products and customers.

Where do I begin? GM Canada is a joke. I bought a 2019 GMC elevation blacked out edition in summer of 2019 and the first 500 km the tailgate started falling on me for no reason so I went to Prouse Motors in Sault Ontario to get warranty for the tailgate. They got ahold of gm Canada and they told them they will not fix the tailgate BC there was no known issues with them yet (forgot to mention I had my utility trailer on the back and the jack stand scratched and dented the ** outta the tailgate) so basically they said I was ** and the only way I would get a new tailgate is if it drops when someone from prouse motors was driving it. What a joke right? So after 4 times they had my truck it finally dropped. Took close to 5 months to get a new tailgate after that and Ive been back 3 times because of the paint job on it and tailgate being loose. While all that crap was going on I started to have transmission problems and its been to the dealer many many times and still to this very day its still not fixed. Then at 4000 km the steering column locked up on me and they had to put a new column in and the speakers on the passenger side of the truck went all ** on me. Ive either called or been to the dealership every week since I own this truck this truck has been nothing but a nightmare. I tried to plead my case and to get gm to buy the truck off me and put me in something else BC the truck is a LEMON. The only thing they would do is give me 2000$ towards a trade in so they expect me to lose my ** on the trade in and Pay more monthly for a plain Jane p.o.s I never in my life had such piss poor service than gm and the dealer. I will NEVER in my lifetime own another gm product. I will go buy a Ford or a Dodge before Ill even think about gm piss poor trucks... Before you buy a truck from gm I recommend take the time and read all the review. The only review I noticed that have 5 stars is the people who only owned the truck for couple weeks to a month. Steer away from GMC or Chevy. Dont make the same mistake I did. One pissed off GMC truck owner

My Saturn Ion has a recall on it due to ignition problems. I was assured by the GM customer service people that I would get a loaner vehicle while my car is being serviced. I called the dealership to make an appt as instructed only to be told I would not get a loaner but instead a shuttle would be provided to and from home..which does not work for me since we only have one vehicle for a family of 5 and I have tons to do on a daily basis. I depend on my vehicle. Yesterday afternoon the ignition on my car completely locked and therefore could not drive anywhere. This happened late afternoon so I called GM. I was able to get an appt set up but was told the part needed would not be available until a week later. I called customer service and I was told not to worry about it since I would be able to get a loaner car. By the end of the day I got a call from the dealership telling me they had a part and my car could be fixed in an hour however since my car would not turn on I had to call Roadside assistance. I was told they had to tow it to the nearest dealership which turned out wasnt the place I had been in contact with. So I called GM customer service back. I was told not to worry my car would be towed and I could go either that afternoon or early next morning to pick up a loaner car. Turns out that afternoon the service manager from the dealership was gone therefore I could not get a loaner car but I was assured by the customer service rep to call in the morning and everything would be taken care of . I called early morning and after 45 minutes of being given the run around, I was told I should get a call back within 24 hours..wow..I said well by then it will be too late..I need a car now since I have several appts today . One of them being a long awaited appt (4 months wait) at my sons Autism clinic.. Customer service rep said okay I will call you back as soon as I get something resolved for you. An hour later I called the dealership to see what was going on...I was transferred to the general manager who was extremely rude. He advised me that GM never provided loaner cars and that if they did they have to pay and send him an email authorizing. I was told the night before by customer service that the email had been sent. So I called GM customer service back after an hour I was told Sorry maam but whoever gave you that information gave you incorrect information. We do not lend out loaner cars. The dealership has to do it at their own discretion. I am beyond angry at this point... I dont understand why we have to have our lives disrupted and turned upside down because GM couldnt get it together and put in the right parts. So now here I am years later paying the price for their incompetence. What really makes me mad is all that flip flopping that I got from customer service... You either do or you dont. There shouldnt be any maybes or I thinks from such a big company. In the meantime because of that, my husband lost a days pay which is a lot for someone living paycheck to paycheck and my sons autism therapy has been pushed back two and half months. Thanks a lot GM.

I have a 2010 and repeatedly have issues. It has been to the dealer as it completely lost power in rush hour. Car dash said Service ABS, power, saver mode, traction control, service ESC and then died. I took to shop and they replaced the PCM is what they told me. Car has since had lose of power, sluggish, dies periodically, and now almost 3 years after thousand dollar repair not to mention the air bag light that is on that they are telling me will cost at least 1000 dollars as well to repair as my car is out of warranty and that it is a safety concern. My car died again while coming through a intersection and the P0341 has come up and been replaced four times since February 2019. This car is a danger and I am forced to drive it when it runs as I have so much money invested I cant afford a new one. I have also replaced the throttle body and just about every sensor under the hood including spark plugs and battery and car is still acting up. Why are they not helping us. Someone is going to get killed. It stalls suddenly and with little to no warning. I am terrified to transport my kids in this car. Please help us…

I purchased a 2014 Chevy Equinox on 7/3/14, and traded in my 2012 Equinox for it. I loved my 2012 and wanted to upgrade from the 4 cyl. to the 6 cyl. Since the purchase date, I have had it in the shop 4 times for the same problem. 3 were with one dealership, the other one with another place to get another opinion. My complaint has been with the steering. It feels loose and non-responsive, and I also experience a terrible groaning noise and vibration at low speeds when making turns, backing out of my driveway, or trying to make normal parking lot maneuvers. On the first visit, they said a bulletin indicated a replacement of the alternator and a hose was necessary to quiet the groaning noise and vibration, so they had to order the parts and they sent me on the way. Within a few days the car was back in, to have those parts replaced. Needless to say that did not remedy the problem. After a short time passed, I took it back in complaining of the same problem. I have argued with the service departments, and begged them to just start changing parts to try and eliminate the issue. They have checked the steering pump, the hoses, the steering rack etc. and always say they cannot find a problem. It was suggested after the 2nd time in the shop, to contact GM customer service to get them involved. So I did. I explained the issue, was told someone would contact me in 24-48 hours, and needless to say, no one contacted me back at that point. For the 3rd visit, I took it to another dealership. Its amazing how everyone can hear the noise and feel the shutter in the steering but each time since the first visit, I get the same story about nothing being wrong. The dealerships say they cant just simply switch out parts that arent defective to try to remedy the steering looseness and the groaning noise. They can only do what GM allows them to do.Before making yet another call to GM and to ensure that I wasnt crazy, I decided to test drive another model just like mine. I did not encounter the same problems in the one I test drove, like I do with my own. And, for yet another opinion, I contacted a family member who also has the same model year as mine, and again she confirmed her vehicle does not have the same issues, but does indeed have its own set of issues with the A/C and safety warning systems.Since nothing came from my 3rd visit, and I could at least challenge that the issues with my vehicle are not normal cause it doesnt happen with others, I made another call to GM, this was 8/27/14. Again I was told my issue would escalated and someone would call me back. I also stopped in to the dealership again, and said I was bringing the vehicle back in, and the noise and shutter were getting worse. They scheduled my appointment for 9/3/14. On 8/28/14 I received a call back from Cecelia. I have never experienced someone so short spoken, heartless and condescending. I argued every point I could with her. Recalling the issues in detail, the conversations I have had with the dealerships, the fact that they say parts cant be replaced unless defective because GM wont let them, the fact that other vehicles like mine do not have the same issue etc. Cecelias response was simple and short You have an appointment with the dealership on 9/3 to diagnose your vehicle. There is nothing else we can do. She didnt care at all about the matter.I dont know how much more effectively I could have communicated that diagnosing the vehicle had been attempted and that I was asking for someone to take ownership in the repair needs and let the dealership start replacing parts. In the end, Cecelia said I am closing your case, and I said that they would hear from my attorney and the media, and she hung up.Today is 9/4/14, and needless to say, I once again got the call from the service dept. saying nothing is wrong, and that they are sorry they cant do anything to help me. On Monday, when the dealership owner returns, I will be working with him to get out of this vehicle and either back into my old Equinox, which they still have and I know I can trust, or finding an entirely different car. I am deeply saddened that I had to experience this trouble. I thought for sure one Equinox to the next, I would love the vehicle the same.I think GM needs to fire Cecelia. I saw another post from someone else complaining about her too. Perhaps she can only do so much, but for her to not even pretend to care about the safety of me and my family (or anyone elses) is inexcusable and makes GM looks even worse.

On October 13, 2014, I took my 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo to Harbor Chevrolet in Michigan City IN for the ignition recall. Sixteen days later on 29th of October, my car would not start. Key found, not turn. I had the car towed to Sauers Buick GMC in LaPorte IN. I was told the ignition needed to be replaced. $881.00 that cost. Car ran good, but in one week check engine light was back on. Took it back on the 10th of October. This time I was told that it was an emissions problem, and another $49 for a gas cap. I was assured this was the problem, even though I didnt think there was anything wrong with the gas cap. By the 14th, just 4 days later, the Check engine light is back on. I called and again was told to bring the car in. Returned and left car on October 24 for the afternoon. This time I am told its a vent valve leaking that is defective and this is going to cost over $300 dollars to fix. I declined this repair. Enough is enough already. I think each time I take the car in, they will keep finding something wrong...or making something wrong. I feel I am being taken for a ride in my own car, and its not a ride I am enjoying. This all started with that recall, and turned into a $900 ride. And they still want more. I doubt that there is a vent valve leak. I am sick of getting screwed. Highly doubtful I will be buying another GM car if this how they treat customers.

I am contacting you in reference to my vehicle. Unfortunately the service manager William has showed and made it very clear he does not want to service my vehicle at all. He told me that he did not know 100% what was wrong with my car unless they tear it down and that his techs dont want to do that and he dont want to pay them to do it. I had took my car to a front end specialist and got a second opinion and they suggested struts and strut mounts. He told me that if my warranty cover my struts, he would have them changed and I was going to pay for the strut mounts to be put on, which he said would be an extra $56. He also stated I needed a timing belt which is going bad for the second time around. I know when I bring my vehicle in, the parts that I am told are bad are covered under my warranty. He told me my warranty denied my struts but when I called come to find out, they never mentioned the struts at all being needed to repair. He also made a big deal about my warranty not covering my timing belt and they do, its in black and white and plus I asked them myself. Well, he called my warranty and told them that I dont need any struts and there is nothing wrong with my timing belt so they could block my repairs and he did not have to pay the techs out his pocket to do the work. I always come there for service to my vehicle from oil changes I paid for on up. I have never had to fight and bicker to get my car serviced there before at all. This unprofessional matter and stunt he pulled was uncalled for, all he keeps doing is wanting me to come out my pocket for repairs. Why should I if I have a warranty to pay for the labor and repairs? He tells me if they pull my front end apart, I will have to pay the tech out my pocket to do it. I am past fed up with his attitude and unwillingness to repair my vehicle. On top of that, lying to my warranty company so they can block the repairs so I can pay for them myself and basically, his way to show me that he is not going to fix my car and he is not going to let his tech either. Timing belt is a major repair issue. This is my only mode of transportation and for him to lie about it so he want have to do anything to my car - WOW. I have never seen this type of service before at all. If I know my parts are not under warranty, I would not bring my car in to have techs fix it when I know they have to be paid. Plus, warranty cover labor and parts and all this service manager does is throw in my face about he not going to pay the techs and someone has to pay the techs and he not paying them out his pocket. Customer service should be this service manager main priority and not how much money you can spend for parts that are all ready under warranty, makes no sense at all. Stop throwing temper tantrums when its work that need to be done and you dont want to do it. Its part of your job to work and make sure the customer car does not leave the same way it came in, which mine has every time I took it in to be serviced. This is not the first time I have had to get my front end looked at. One time they charged my warranty people and come to find out when I got the car back same way it went in. No work was done to my vehicle at all. The tech admitted that he never changed anything on my car that he had another car like mine and did that work to it. This service department and service manager are very unprofessional and wants to take the easy way out of things. Then he told me that he can spray some lubrication on the parts and that will take care of the noise as well as how my main concern should not be the noise, it should be the oil leak that I have never seen in my drive way - which is more than likely from my cover gaskets I paid out my pocket to have changed.

I purchased a 2012 Chevy Sonic in 2012 and this was my husband and I first vehicle from GM. We were excited to have gotten our very first vehicle and I thought we were getting a good car. In 2013, we were in the process of moving and expecting another child and we received a recall letter in the mail. In March of this year, we took our car to the dealer and suddenly we have a leak with oil and we had no oil. We were able to get a rental car for a little over a week. Last week I was driving my car to the train station and car begins to shake and I wasnt able to accelerate and operate my car. I usually get on the expressway with my daughter every morning and thank God this didnt happen on the expressway because I could have gotten in a serious car accident. Im very unsatisfied with this vehicle and I dont feel safe at all. Now, its been a week and I was told its a trans problem but they will have to see what happened to cause the trans to go out. I dont believe this will be the only issue that will come up and I dont want to find out what else is going to go wrong. We have a high interest rate and Im starting to feel this was just a bad deal altogether.

I own a 2013 GMC Terrain. The car was part of a lawsuit against GM for excessive oil consumption. My car was 4qt low on oil, NO oil light ever came on. The car now needs $2,500 in repairs and GM is refusing to pay for it although the lawsuit states they are responsible for it and are to pay for it! Myself and my family have always driven GM vehicles. I’m the last one in the family left driving one and now I know why. They do not stand behind their products and do not support their customers. Customer service from GM just keeps say, We are working on this. Give us two days and we’ll call you. It’s been 3weeks!!! I’m paying for a rental out of my pocket and making a car payment. GM is useless. DO NOT BUY ONE!

I own a 09 Saturn Vue and have been pretty happy with it till now. My Saturn seems to be having transmission problems, the gears keep getting stuck which causing the engine light to come but after a day or two it goes away on its own. I experienced this problem now twice. Found a letter from Saturn stating some models had a fractured wave plate which would cause tranny to slip gears, low 3rd or 4th gear etc. I took my car to GM to drop-off service. Advisor tells me I would pay 120 if it wasnt the wave plate. I get a call today stating they need me to authorize a 1600 charge for them taking apart my transmission which it could be under warranty or it could be not. Long story short I would not authorize that since I was never told that when I first came in. The manager was arguing with my boyfriend and I left with my Saturn Vue being untouched. They didnt even care that my car could possibly have that issue and they would have to honor that at no charge. So they try to get money another way. Sneaky GM. Its sad they wont even look at the car thats a Product of their GM motors. Horrible!

I am writing to complain about Ed Morse Buick GMC Mazda Autoplaza 10133 US
I am writing to complain about Ed Morse Buick GMC Mazda Autoplaza 10133 US Highway 19 Port Richey, FL 34668 727-862-5411. My 81-year-old mother purchased her Buick from the dealership and returned for just motor oil and a cabin filter service at 34k miles and was sold more service than the automobile needed completed. The total bill should have come to $107.95 but she was sold and charged $657.06 for work that was not required. My mother trusted the service adviser and was misled the car needed service performed that would not be required until 150k miles based on GM standards. I feel Ed Morses service adviser took advantage of an elderly customer that relied on a trusted source for car service similar to relying on a financial adviser for advice. The company policy seems to be to recommend service to unaware elderly people concerned for their cars care and then not to offer customer coupons on their website for a savings. The 2012 Buick is new with only 34,387 miles and the service attendant sold automatic transmission fluid replacement, brake fluid replacement, induction service repair work and tire rotation on 3/31/2016 that when only an oil change was needed. The service attendant did not offer the customer coupons for free tire rotation with purchase of oil, $10 off cabin filter or the spend and save offer for the service performed for $75.Since I help manage my mother with her monthly bills and when I learned of a motor oil and filter charge of $657.06 I was beside myself and went to confront the Service Manager for taking advantage of an elderly lady just needing an oil and filter change. We discussed that the replacement of automatic transmission fluid, brake fluid and induction service was not required and my mom was misled into purchasing these services for a 34k mile car. The service manager affirmed she would be refunded with a check of $189.86 plus a free oil change. My expectation was to be credited $486.76 for work not required for misleading an elderly lady on service. At this time we have not received credit to resolve this issue and expect $486.76.

I bought a brand new 2019 Chevy Silverado. My new $50,000 truck has been in for warranty 3 times. Truck has 1400 miles on it and has been in twice for check engine light and the last time was for a backup camera that is all static at night time. I have been told by the dealership that there is no fix for the camera and that all of the Silverados are doing it. Pretty sad when youre told that a safety feature on a brand new vehicle has failed and there is no fix. Also not happy about my time being wasted by taking the vehicle to the dealer and being told nothing can be done. Now Im being told by GM that they are waiting for details from the dealership and the dealership is telling me theyre waiting on GM. What a joke. Very very unhappy customer.

We bought a 2005 Buick Rendevous in 1-1-2005. We, and two different servicemen, have never been able to remove the spare tire, when needed. The cabin heat controls dont work properly, a fuel filter and sensor has to be removed for service periodically, and be replaced. The radio wont pick up stations, as well as my 1999 F350, and when my wife took it to Deters in Atlantic, Iowa, she was treated rudely. From reading the complaints of others, I dont believe I am interested in another GM product! It doesnt sound like you take care of your complaints. I will be buying a new 1 ton crew cab diesel pickup in 2012, but it doesnt look like Ill even consider GM.

I bought this car last year and before the year was over, I had to take it back to the dealership at the very least four times. I complained to GM, and they said that in order to be able to POSSIBLY HELP ME, I had to take it to the dealership again! Was four times not enough! I am traumatized to drive that car, and I do not recommend to ANYONE!

I went to Beck service department in Palatka to have my transmission looked
I went to Beck service department in Palatka to have my transmission looked at on my Chevy Silverado 2500 6.0, it started slipping last week out of OD when going uphill and wouldnt go back into OD, I had to pull over, put the car in park, shut it off, let the computer reset, turn back on then be on way and it would be fine until next hill. My truck shifted smoothly in all gears and sounded fine until I got it back from the transmission check. Now the shifting is hard. Almost impossible from park to reverse and back to park and other gears are hard shifting transmission was not running hot. Now it is and someone apparently used inside driver door panel to yank door closed causing issues there. Now door sounds like tin can closing when window down, not to mention the vibration it has that it didnt have before bad and when it does shift from park to reverse the whole truck jerks and whining sound, vibration in the accelerator pedal and shaking as if they adjusted the shift linkage wrong but service check was only for that a check $85 but something happened even if it were in the test drive and it was shifted improperly or ran too hard at high RPM. Now the tranny is worse than before. I needed it to hold out for a while but they did it in now. Im screwed $4000. They say for new one because of tcc and say metal in tranny. But was still drivable. Now not so much, I contacted the service department they are refusing responsibility of doing anything and it is much much worse. Since I picked it up they claim they didnt do anything to the transmission. I didnt have problems shifting before. PLEASE HELP!!!

Im soo disappointed! Ive loved my Chevy up until now. It has been knocking for over 2 years. I know several others that own or have owned the same model as myself. They all have had the same issues! Horrible knocking of the motor. Found out May 8th there is a class action lawsuit against GM for piston wear, causes excessive oil use and knocking. I am within the mileage for repairs at no cost, but they have escaped repairing my vehicle due to the fact they did not send my letter sooner! Now I have a 4000.00 bill! I had planned on purchasing GM again. But never will I never. Ive had 3 recalls and damaged motor due to their production. They do not back their product. This should be handled by them. Please do not purchase GM. They do not take care of their buyers. If I had received my letter sooner It would be covered. Because of them I have a broken car, I have to fix.

I purchased a 2013 GMC Sierra new and always had the truck serviced at the selling dealer. Last Oct. my drivers side door handle came off in my hand. This has never happened to me with any vehicle I ever owned, and I have owned many. Colonial GMC in Charlottesville, Va. was my selling dealer so I went there and requested it be replaced under the extended warranty that I purchased good for 100,000 miles. Was told it wasnt covered under that warranty and had to pay to have it replaced. Bill was in excess of $300. Ok, paid and moved on.4 months later another door handle broke off on the rear door and was even being used much. Thinking this was an unusual I researched this problem and to my surprise realized these door handles have been breaking on Silverados and Sierras routinely, but to date GM has not had a recall or a TSP for this problem. Contacted GM and they told me I would receive a callback to resolve the issue. 3 days later I got a call from the dealer telling me I was out of luck, they would not do anything unless I paid the full price. Ok, I thought, I paid $63000 for a truck and they wont help with a door handle. I bought and $40 to install it. Bottom line is I will go back to buying a Ford or Dodge, had good service from them. Done with GM for a $17 door handle.
