I have been waiting for my car to be repaired for 13 weeks (Since October). The company still has NO CLUE when the parts will be made or shipped. They did not provide a vehicle to use or ANY LEVEL of actual helpful information. They answer off a script in vague.. were doing everything we can BS. So if you dont mind waiting 3 or 4 months to have a working car, by all means, buy GM...

Calling GM customer service is a waste of time and effort. Little to nothing is accomplished describes their service, not to mention the misinformation and poor, poor customer care. Better to file a formal complaint with the FTC. People who buy GM vehicles beware. There is relatively zero customer service, from the GM perspective. Consumers deserve better.

This is what happened - On November 11, 2015 the tow truck took my truck to Rudolph Chevrolet which they diagnostic my truck with a non working cam and lifters. My truck is well maintained with 107k miles. I did my research and I realized there are many cases identical or similar to my situation. The dealership quote $4K repair (parts and labor). I placed a complain at GM customer service and they contacted the dealership and both decided they will help with $950 which doesnt look fair to me specially when I know there are other GM customers facing a similar case. Today 11/16/15 I called GM customer service and spoke to a unprofessional representative named Alicia. She denied to transfer me a supervisor stating the supervisor was not available since she was at lunch time. After arguing for another 8 minutes she place me on hold for over 10 minutes until the supervisor answered. Supervisor said there was nothing else to do. I asked her if there was somebody else I could talk to and she said NO, I asked her if there was another department I could place a complain, and she said NO. Supervisor said since my warranty expired there was nothing else she could do. Im only asking for help, I bought my truck in good faith and Im only asking to GM to provide help to a loyal customer.

I talked to a GM ambassador about getting off-warranty work done this month
I talked to a GM ambassador about getting off-warranty work done this month. My 2005 GMC Canyon warranty was extended to 2013 or 160,000km because of valve problems. My vehicle had 108,946km on it when the check engine light came. A Tirecraft shop examined the truck and said I had burnt valves. I phoned the GM rep and was told to take it to a GM dealership to confirm that. The dealership charged me $368.98 to confirm what Tirecraft had diagnosed for only $221.66. The dealership said that they would only knock 5% off the $6000 repair bill. GM knows how much these repairs cost so the company rep should have been up front with me about what could be done before I took the truck in. I wasted my time as the repairs are more than my truck is worth. GM had no plans to help me even before I brought my truck in.

PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN PURCHASING A 2020 GENERAL MOTORS PRODUCT. GM has no available parts to fix them, should you have an accident or something breaks. My 2020 GMC Terrain has been sitting in an auto body repair shop waiting on a rear left door since June 1st of 2020. My rental car insurance coverage has met the policy maximum as of June 26th, and now Im having to pay an additional $200 a Week for a rental, while my car sits waiting on a GM part. Their response to me was we have no parts available with no date of when parts will be available. I was informed by the repair shop it could be next week it could be 6 months, could be a year from now. GM is unable to provide a date when they expect to manufacture parts. GM is costing $800 of my monthly net income and has provided no customer service of any type. Ive called GM directly with no response other than the parts are on backorder. Ive filed a Customer Complaint with GM and with the Federal Trade Commission. - Hope this helps save someone a good deal of expense and aggravation. Thank you and take care.

If there’s one person who gets injured or killed because of the incompetence of someone or a company then that’s too many. There are too many people having trouble with vehicles that are defective before they are purchased, including me. General Motors should pay everyone who purchases a vehicle of theirs that is faulty for repairs, injuries, etc.

I purchased a used 2010 Traverse from Peruzzi GMC. When I test drove it, it was fine. We go to leave the dealer with the vehicle and the check engine light was on! The salesman tells me, oh its probably just a gas cap, drive it and it will go away. I refused to take the vehicle without having something in writing. Good thing because we left and the light never went off. A few days later I had my wife bring it back and the code was for the timing chain! Dealer had no choice but to replace it being as I had it in writing although they act like they did us a favor...Apparently they changed the chains and never bothered changing the oil which had bits and pieces of debris from failing pieces in it. Not even 4,500 miles after purchasing the engine seized without any warning with my wife and 4 kids in the car on our way home. GM denied any responsibility and only went to the shop to try and find reasons as to why they wouldnt help. The service manager told me the motor failed because I didnt change the oil. Mind you, when replacing the chain the dealer should have changed the oil and didnt... Even still, the manual says to change it according to the light or if it has gone 1 year. Neither situations occurred. The oil life was still at 74%. I ended up paying $6500 out of pocket to have the motor replaced. Then a fuel injector fails and renders the vehicle un-drivable 4 miles after getting a new motor. Then the A/C stopped working. Only hot air. Dealer tells me its probably the evaporator which is behind the dash and is another few thousand to fix! After some diagnostic and research I found it to be the blend door actuator, a $50 piece and 30 minutes of my time. Huge difference and Im not the GM mechanic... THEN a coil pack goes bad. Need to remove the intake plenum to get to it. Another $330. Few days later, CEL AGAIN! Now its the catalytic converter and the dealer wants THOUSANDS to fix! The rear wiper stopped working, had to replace 2 front speakers. Since the purchase, I have spent just as much money fixing it as the vehicle cost me. GM takes no responsibility since I refused the extended warranty through some 3rd party company which Ive dealt with before and denied every claim submitted. Its a joke. GM and Chevrolet should be ashamed as a company with these products representing them. Ive owned 17 cars in my time and this is by far the WORST vehicle I have every purchased. Worse than my BMW 745Li which is one of its most problematic vehicles! I will NEVER purchase another Chevy and will recommend any and everyone to do the same. They produce junk vehicles with junk parts and force the consumer to pay for their cut corners! While enduring all of these issues Ive done a lot of research and come to the conclusion that most people who own these vehicles experience these problems which SHOULD lead to a class action suit. Even the re-manufacturing company where I purchased my motor said that motor is their top seller. They move more of those 3.6L v6 motors for GM than all others combined!

I leased a 2012 GMC Terrain back in 2012.. It is 30 month lease. I recently sustained a medical problem with a year left on the lease.. I cannot drive anymore and sought to turn in the vehicle early as I cannot drive it. Balance owed on lease was/is not an issue.. what I was told by leasing affiliate--ALLY Auto... I would have to retain the vehicle for the duration of the lease period and carry full coverage with insurance for the duration of lease even though I cannot drive and my license has been placed on hold by State DMV. My complaint here is based upon the fact that the vehicle will be stored on my property, not being driven for over a year (I am a retired senior living alone) and I will be forced to pay over $2,000 in insurance premiums just so the lease calendar can expire as they will not allow me to turn in the vehicle now. I accept paying off the remaining lease value, but to keep it anyway at my expense for mandatory insurance coverage is an outrage... as it seems punitive. I advise all that seek leases keep this in mind... have an unforeseen event that disallows any more driving and you are screwed. Clearly, GM business model is based upon for every customer lost, we get 5 new ones so why care? If I ever get back on the road again... uncertain at this point... it wont be with a leased GM product. Screw me once, shame on them.. screw me twice, shame on me for being a loyal customer.

I purchased a 2020 Yukon Denali at the end of December 2019. I have purchased a new Yukon or Tahoe every year since 1996. My experiences in the past have been generally great since Im always driving a vehicle with very low mileage and always still under warranty. This 2020 model had only 7000 miles on it when several service lights started to appear on the instrument panel. These included ABS braking system, Stabilitrack, Forward collision system, Cruise control, and Trailer brake system. Any of these can be serious safety issues. I brought it in immediately to my dealer in Branson, Missouri, Pinegar GMC around the first week in July. They checked it out and said it was a faulty module of some sort that controls all those things and they should have the part in a few days. It has been 2 months and they not only still do not have the part but cannot say when it will ever show up. My question is why cant they get one off the assembly line since they are obviously building these cars every day and must need these modules to keep production going? Very poor communication and customer service.

I called the customer service line for General Motors, to inquire about financial assistance with my 2003 GMC Savanna 2500 cargo van. I advised the customer service represenative Stephanie that the van was a 2003 with 47,000 miles and i had bought it from a private individual approximately 4 weeks earlier. I advised her that i was driving it and it sounded like something broke in the engine. She advised me i would need to take it to a GM dealer to have it diagnosed, and they would then see if they could provide me some type of finicial assistance. I payed to have my vehicle towed to nearby Chevrolet dealership, where it sat for a week before being looked at. The service manager then advised me they would need authorization either from me or GM, to tear it down, to determine the exact problem. I told the service Manager i would not be able to afford that added expense, not knowing if GM would provide any finicial assistance in their final determination. The next call i received was from Stephanie at GM customer service, she proceeded to advise me that GM would not be able to provide me any finicial assistance, due to the fact that the van was a 2003 and that i had not purchased it from a GM dealer. I then requested a answer as too why she did tell me this during our initial conversation, seeing how she was privy to that information during our first conversation. She did not give me a answer to that question, only replying she was sorry.

I have owned GM products since the early 80s, including 2 Buicks, 2 Corvettes, a Malibu, an Envoy and now a Terrain Denali. This included a full navigation system that listed at over $400. Just over a year after the purchase the navigation system stopped working, but since I did not use it, I did not bring it in to get to get fixed. I did bring it in just past the warranty period of 2 years and they were unable to service it that as the particular service tech that worked on these systems was not in. Finally got it in yesterday, 3 years after purchase and they want $728 to replace a interface control module. Yes its over the 2 year warranty period, so they are correct, but this is just too much. So much for customer loyalty. I have redeemed over $19,000 of the GM Card on new products and now I am cancelling and will never buy another GM product. Currently have over $3k credit on the card and cant use that to fix the navigation system either. This module also runs the ON-STAR system.

Two weeks ago my engine light came on on my 2004 Chevrolet SSR. I took it in for routine maintenance and to have the light checked. About 10 days later, the Dealer contacted me and told me that they were unavailable to obtain the part needed and consequently, the engine light would not go off. The result of the lights staying on is that I am completely unable to use my eight year old vehicle which has fewer than 80,000 miles! I am unable to get the vehicle inspected, unable to sell it and if I were to drive it and something major went wrong I wouldnt know it because the light stays on!General Motors solution was to give me a list of internal websites? in order for me to search for the part myself. I had previously searched approximately twenty sites and a friend who owns a salvage yard is searching salvage yards for me. I have now searched another 29 internet sites GM provided to me and six salvage yards. When I bought this vehicle, I paid between $50,000 and $60,000 for it. It was the first vehicle I had ever bought by myself (following my husbands death). I am wondering if anyone has experience with suing GM over something like this. I consider this vehicle completely unusable and had planned to keep it until passing it down to a child of mine.

Bought a 2017 Silverado from Clark’s, after 8 month agonizing experience with a dealer who ran me around with excuses, charged me for repairs which had nothing to do with the flawed product they sold me, even though it was under warranty, which is a joke by the way. They kept telling me they didn’t know what was wrong with the vehicle and after many trips there basically told me it’s up to me and GM to solve. By all the reviews I’ve read about this treatment of their customers it sounds like it’s a trend. I wouldn’t recommend a GM product to anybody with this lack of concern about their customers or their product in which they do not stand behind. Id rate them a negative 5 stars.

Transmission began to malfunction after having the vehicle for one week. I went several months and Lumberton Chevy continuously refused to fix it. Finally they decided to fix the vehicle after me calling GM corporate office. GM called the dealership in Lumberton NC requesting that they pick my vehicle up for repair and they didnt! GM called roadside assistance and had my vehicle picked up. They kept my vehicle for two weeks and it took them a week to get me into a replacement vehicle. Im self employed and GM caused me to lose money. I asked to be reimbursed and they refused to reimburse me anything. I was told that they were going to pay my car payment for a few months, now they have refused to do anything. The district manager was supposed to call me in reference to the poor customer service that I have received and I have yet to hear from the district manager. I spoke to a lady by the name of Charisma on today and she stated that she was told that they would not allow me to trade the vehicle for another one neither are they willing to reimburse me for money that was lost during this time. There is no way that anyone could ever talk me into buying a GM vehicle. The customer service is past poor. They only care about themselves and how many cars they can sell. I have never ever experienced customer service like this. I traded my 2013 Fusion to get the traverse because I needed a third row vehicle, but at this point, I will be trading this poor excuse for a vehicle for a new Ford Explorer. I will never have anything to do with GM again. When you purchase a new vehicle, you expect to not have to worry about anything and if you do you expect to have excellent customer service. If you purchase a GM vehicle you will not get customer service. If you purchase a GM vehicle our just stuck!

I own a 09 Saturn Vue and have been pretty happy with it till now. My Saturn seems to be having transmission problems, the gears keep getting stuck which causing the engine light to come but after a day or two it goes away on its own. I experienced this problem now twice. Found a letter from Saturn stating some models had a fractured wave plate which would cause tranny to slip gears, low 3rd or 4th gear etc. I took my car to GM to drop-off service. Advisor tells me I would pay 120 if it wasnt the wave plate. I get a call today stating they need me to authorize a 1600 charge for them taking apart my transmission which it could be under warranty or it could be not. Long story short I would not authorize that since I was never told that when I first came in. The manager was arguing with my boyfriend and I left with my Saturn Vue being untouched. They didnt even care that my car could possibly have that issue and they would have to honor that at no charge. So they try to get money another way. Sneaky GM. Its sad they wont even look at the car thats a Product of their GM motors. Horrible!

My husband and I purchased a 2013 Chevy Malibu in Nov 2013. New car. No issues until April 2015. First, my Service Parking Brake light came on now and then. Took it in and they said it was a fuse box. Ordered a new one at our expense. Two days later the engine locked up. Got it towed and dealership ordered a new engine. Replacement engine was knocking after just being installed! Second new engine installed and runs fine. Still had Service Park Brake light on after replacing the fuse box. 250 miles later, engine started knocking! Took it back again and dealership left torque converter bolts loose. They claim to have tightened them and replaced the fuse block.Started a case with GM to get the car bought back because its obviously a lemon. No longer have the light on, but now the car idles rough and shifts terrible. GM will not allow the dealership to work on the car unless there is a code on their computer when they hook it up. Its not throwing any codes and no lights on the dash, so we wait. This is absurd! I have talked to a senior rep at GM several times, and she said we have to go through this and they will probably not ever buy it back. Not happy and never buying Chevy again!

I have a 2014 GMC Terrain. I was heading to Cooperstown NY with my 15 year old son for a baseball tournament. I was driving at 70 mph on I87 in the passing lane in a driving rainstorm. I put my wipers on high and they quit working! I got myself to the breakdown lane (SCARY). I tried a couple things to fix the situation but it didnt work so the rain let up and I followed a friend 5 miles to the nearest GMC dealer. There they told me the wiper transmission broke and it would cost 450.00. so I am vulnerable position so I had to paid and had to move on! Now when I got back from my trip I researched my issue and went to dealer that I bought my car and no one could help me (no recalls and my mileage was too high (67000)). I didnt realize that I had my wipers on for 67000 miles?? This part is not a serviceable part and also how many miles have I really used those wipers?I am more disappointed in GM CUSTOMER SERVICE in how they are handling this. They do not understand the magnitude of the situation! I researched this and in 2013 GM recalled the same things and in Canada GM recalled 2010-2017 Terrain for the same part number and issue. And also my Terrain was mfg in CANADA but once it is driving in the US it is not covered under the recall of Canada! I was looking for complete payment of 450.00. GM does not treat customers fairly. My husband and I bought a 2004 Pontiac used but in great condition. We owned the car for less than 6 months. One morning on my husbands way to work, it went up in flames. Fortunately, my husband managed to get out alive. Two days after it caught on fire, we received a recall notice in the mail. Guess what? The recall was for possible engine fires caused by oil leak onto the manifold. After starting a claim with GM, and being told to keep the vehicle in storage so they can have an inspector come inspect the vehicle, they decided to make us an offer for the vehicle more than three months later. The offer was for less than half of the vehicles worth, and they refused to pay for the tow, road clean up (because the car melted to the street) and the storage fees totaling more than $3300.00 because they said it was our choice to have the vehicle towed and stored somewhere. (No one chooses to have their car go up into flames while they are driving it, and when it melts to the street you have no other option but to have it towed by police orders). We only did what we were told to do, and in the end we are paying the price. We are not even getting enough money to cover the cost of the storage so all that is having to be paid out of my pocket when I did not choose for my car to go up in flames. How is that right? I will never recommend GM to anyone, and I will always tell people not to buy GM due to how they do not take care of their customers.

I am absolutely stunned by the way GM handled my case. Yes, my car was out of the 5yr/100,000 mile warranty. Only by 2 years. Car ONLY had 55,000 miles on it, before the transmission went out. After 55,000 miles!!! Yup, you guessed it, GM wants me to eat this one in $4,000 in repairs!!! GM is a joke. Didnt even offer to help compensate, no discount. NOTHING. I will never buy another Chevy EVER again. I will also warn others to steer clear of Chevy. Worst experience ever. Not to mention they provided parts/equipment to the German army in WW II. Makes sense now.

I am SO frustrated with Buick - Shenandoah Motors - and my 2010 Enclave right now!!! Thousands of $ in repairs since September (like in the neighborhood of $6500) - not including the usual oil changes and new tires. Went to pick it up today after a new transmission installation and the car is whining like crazy. Do they even test drive these things before they turn them loose for customers to take out on the road?? This has been an ongoing issue and finally GM Corporate agreed to pay $1111.23 of this most recent repair (not included in OUR $6.5k to date). Now its back in the shop (fortunately we didnt even drive off the lot before we went right back in and said something was wrong - AGAIN). Called GM Corporate but its after 5:00 so my rant will have to wait until tomorrow when they call back. CRAPPY SERVICE @ SHENANDOAH MOTORS.

Just wondering if anyone else who had this recall done ran into a situation where the low beam headlights had to be replaced at the owners expense. This situation is ridiculous. Let me first state the I accept partial blame for not taking my car in as soon as I received a recall notice. When my low beam lights went out I took my car to JohnBear to have the HDM recall addressed. I picked up my car after the recall work was done and went in to work for night shift.Leaving work the next day I found I had no low beam headlights and now no dash lights. Took it back to JohnBear where I was informed that both my low beam headlights had burnt out at the exact same time(?) and that had nothing to do with the recall(?). Ive dealt with a service rep at Buick (Sheri) that I must apologize to for letting my frustration get the better of me. I was charged $373.40 for two installed low beam headlights(?). In my mind and 3 or 4 mechanics I have spoken with this is excessive and should have either been tied to the recall or the original work performed at the dealership. Yet no one is taking responsibility.

I purchased a 2012 Chevy Cruze in February of 2012 with 15 miles on it and have had it on the garage 3 times for major repairs. The first being a thermostat and seals on the coolant lines. Then had to have all the coolant seals replaced after it overheated again. All of this happened before the first 30000 miles. Most recently my check engine light came on so I took it in and found that a wire for the valve intake to the emission system had broken. All of this on a car barely 3 years old. Contacted GM with my concerns and was told that they would contact the dealership so that the dealership or GM would cover a portion of the repair expense. Was contacted 2 days later by dealership. They said it wasnt their problem that they did their part and would forward my concerns back to GM since my problem was with the car not the service I was given. Was contacted by GM the following day to be told that GM would not be covering anything because I was said to be bad mouthing GM by saying there was a problem with the car they made. How is stating that GM sold me a car that has been nothing but problems bad mouthing anyone. I was stating facts. I bought a new car to avoid these problems and got more than I could have imagined. GM you should take more concern in your customer satisfaction. At this point in time if I could I would trade in this car and never purchase a GM product again. Your company has done nothing to take care of my concerns or problems. All that has been done is a personal attack on me as a customer with your claims of bad mouthing. So now customers cannot speak negative of a product for fear of your company deciding to not help them. I will tell everyone I know what terrible service I received from GM.

Ive had my (purchased brand new in 2016) 2015 GMC Sierra held hostage at the local dealership for a total of 38 days so far while GMC makes up their mind to replace or completely rebuild the transmission. The decision has been made to rebuild so I can expect it to be in at least another couple weeks while parts are ordered. Huge inconvenience for my family as we had to cancel a family vacation which required the truck to tow our travel trailer. So far the truck has had 4-5 recalls and warranty replacement of the A/C unit and a radiator. The dealership Shop Manager told me GMC does not care about their customers if they can save themselves a few dollars. This will be the last GM product myself and my business will be purchasing. Go with Toyota if you want a quality product and service. I should never have made the switch. Shame on you GMC...

Dart motors are american made. We used Chevy Crate motors for power, 454 cu. in. V8 Big-Blocks, but as all things Chevy it was recast differently to save monies, thinner casting. Then the blocks started to crack, vertical lines in the cylinders after approx. 100 hours use. No junk. Time to move on now to 350 CID v8, burns oil out the box on fire up. Use approx. one qt. oil every 20 to 30 minutes. Called Victory Chevy in Ft. Myers, FL for warranty: No you need to call GM at ** This was a joke. Was told it is my intake gasket. I have been building same products, same parts for 25 plus years. Said needed to pull intake and take photos of intake gasket on motor. Pulled intake, no oil in intake runners, gasket perfect so I pulled heads, oil on top of #s 3-5 and 7. Piston #7 the worst, so pulled piston meat on, piston between ring lands, broke out 3 inch piece. This has happened on two of the last 4 motors. We now use only Dart Motors, no more problems. Other problems to watch for, rings hammered into cylinder, no bolts in cam timing, gear lifters come apart. 100 hrs. no impeller in water pump or impeller spins on shaft. This is poor quality control. Have now learned what GMC stands for: General Mexican Crap. Good bye Chevy!!! Captain Mitch.

I took my vehicle (2012 Equinox) to the dealership to have my piston rings replaced due to a recall. After having them replaced there was a noise coming from under the hood. I asked the dealership what was this noise, after having my vehicle for a month I was told that the noise is coming from a Vacuum which comes from the pistons not working properly. I was told that I must pay for this to be fixed because its not under warranty. My problem is that if the piston rings caused this and theres a recall for this, then the Vacuum problem should be in recall as well. I contacted GM and they told me the same thing the dealership said but added that this has not been seen in all vehicles. How many have to have this problem for GM to make it their priority? Not fair to pay for something that was caused by a recall!!!

I filed an complaint with GM online for a problem I was just became aware of on my own. My check engine light went on several months ago and found out that it was flagging a problem with my Cam Shaft intake sensor. When my oil was checked they found out that I had NO OIL in my car. I was well under my 5000 miles due for an oil change and NEVER had a warning signal go on from my vehicle while the oil was burning low. It was confirmed that my car had NO leaks. So something else was causing my oil to burn. I went online to try to find other cases of this and found out that GM knows about this issue with my exact Model and year vehicle (2011 Chevy Equinox LT 2.4 liter 4 cyl) and as a result increased the coverage for this problem for these vehicles from 85000 miles to 120,000 miles. After speaking with the dealership and a manager at GM CAC, they said they could only cover 50% of $4048 needed to fix this problem. The fix for this KNOWN problem is to replace the pistons and rings and gasket, etc. A very invasive job. Which indicates to me this is a very serious problem. Unfortunately, my car is at 139,000 miles (all highway) and they said that this is the best they can do for me. They agreed that there was no other way for me to know my vehicle was burning oil unless someone checked it regularly. The car uses Dexos oil (a synthetic blend) known to have less cases of burning oil. I have made regular oil changes on time for the almost 6 years Ive owned my vehicle and all services including the 100,000 mile services were performed at the dealership. I have been diligent with all required maintenance and now GM / Chevrolet and saying there is nothing more they can do because I am over the 120,000 allowable coverage. When I filed the complaint I was at about 137,000 miles. They will make no exceptions for my case. Even after I am able to prove that ALL required maintenance has been performed on the vehicle. The Manager that I spoke with Craig was short and condescending with me. He said YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHECKING YOUR OIL ON A WEEKLY BASIS. Seriously? Who does that today and why should I if I am diligent on my vehicle care. I was insulted and extremely dissatisfied with the answer and support GM is offering for this very serious issue. I now have a vehicle that is damaged as a result of a known issue that GM did not deliver to any of the dealerships or to the consumers of these 2011 Equinox LTs.I had a much more pleasant experience with Nissan when I found out my daughters 2003 Nissan Altima had a problem with the ECM and it needed to be replaced. After I found that there was an issue with the ECM for that model year of Nissan Altima and brought it up to their attention and filed a case online with Nissan CAC, they agreed with the dealership to cover 90% of the $1400 cost to replace the ECM. The car was a 2003 with 92000 miles and well over the warranty period, but they still made good for us the customers since it was a previously known issue for that model year. If only GM, the company Ive been loyal to for over 30 years would have made the same consideration for me and my Equinox. Extremely disappointing and unfair to their consumers.

I purchased a 2006 Impala with 160,000 miles in 2011. Recently, I have been getting a Service Traction Control on my dash, as well as a Reduced Speed/Low Oil pressure message. When this happens, my car will not increase speed and it has little to no power at all. When this happened the first time, I drove directly to Bale Chevrolet here in Little Rock, Arkansas. I left my vehicle and warranty information with the service department. I received a call a day later telling me it isnt covered under warranty and isnt a recall issue. Mind you, I have read hundreds of post with Impala drivers saying the exact same thing; just something out of the blue happened on their car. The representative told me my car would cost over $400.00. I agreed to pay it. At that time, I felt good about Bale Chevrolet being able to fix the issue. Why not? I bought a 20003 Impala from them in 2004. I went and paid for it. Mind you that this was on 4/25/13; I am writing this on 5/16/13. So, I get in my car on lunch yesterday and my check engine light is on. Then later, when I had got off the Service Traction Control light error, the Low Oil pressure lights are right back on; and my car is doing the exact same thing it had done in April before it had been alleged to have been repaired. When this happened again this morning, my child was riding with me. I made a left turn and was almost side swiped because my car wouldnt accelerate at all. I called the Service Department at Bale and was told they will look at it and it may be a multiple issue problem. I had my car fully diagnosed back in April, so if it was a multiple issues thing, those multiple issues shouldve been addressed before allowing me to leave with a patched up car. He also told me I would be responsible for any new parts pertaining to the Service Traction/Low Oil Pressure issues. Also, I was told that I will have to wait until Monday before anybody can look at the car. Ive already paid for the repairs which werent done properly and now I have to wait 2 days before it can even be looked at. It is sad (me and my family are long time Chevy buyers) to be treated like this at a lot where Ive bought more than one car; to be told get in line and wait after my car when it wasnt fixed properly the first time. I am 100% sure that I, nor my immediate family, will ever purchase another Chevy car or truck as long as I live. This is from a company that my tax dollars helped to bail out. I still purchased from them to now be treated like a number. I almost had my car totaled out because of issues that should be a recall in the first place. Second, I paid to have it fixed. I know this email won’t be responded to, but I hope others will read and strongly consider not purchasing a GM vehicle at all. I will be trading my poor Impala for a Honda as soon as I have money to pay Bale Chevrolet a second time to fix what shouldve been fixed in April. Google Bale and you will see all the complaints about them having to fix the same problems two to three times, with the customer ending up paying more and more just to get something that shouldve been correctly diagnosed and fixed the first time.

Service center completely scammed me. If I could give it a zero I would. Took my car in a year ago because it was stalling. They said they fixed it for $400 which some was covered under warranty. They replaced timing chain and gaskets. Still stalling so recently I had aftermarket solenoids put in. It was still stalling and check engine light came. Took it to Gordon’s and John ** told me it would be $542 and that’s it’s because I had aftermarket solenoids. I was hesitant, but he convinced me it would be running good after. Next day he calls me and tells me it will be over $1400. But at this point they already changed the solenoids and that didn’t work. They misdiagnosed the problem. I tell them forget it and pick up my car. On the work order for the 1400 they have timing chain, gaskets and actuator. The same things they supposedly fixed a year ago. They still charged me $500 for the solenoids. Paid $500 for absolutely nothing and check engine lights still on. Nothing fixed for $500. I will be putting in a complaint through the state of Michigan. We actually have also talked to our cousin who is a lawyer. I feel like they took advantage of me because I am a woman. Also when I questioned him he hung up on me!

My 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, while still covered by GM’s Factory
My 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, while still covered by GM’s Factory Power Train Warranty, had two frayed injector wire connectors that were repaired/replaced by GM Authorized dealers using Genuine GM Parts (that come a one-year warranty). A couple months later I pulled into Casper Buick GMC Cadillac (“CASPER GMC”) and was told that 2 injectors had failed but they would be covered 100% by my warranty. Therefore, I approved the work. Later when I went to pick up my truck they told me it would not be covered by warranty and that I needed to personally pay them $2,231.04 or they would not give me my keys or release my truck to me.For two months since then, I’ve made repeated unsuccessful attempts to get a satisfactory resolution and have experienced:(i) Repeated broken promises from Matt **, of CASPER GMC and from and Jay from GM Customer Care (“GM”) to get back to me;(ii) CASPER GMC’s and GM’s willful disregard of the promises made to owners like me in GM’s Factory Power Train Warranty;(iii) CASPER GMC’s repeated and unwarranted refusal to file my warranty claim with GM, despite the fact that my truck is still under GM Factory Warranty for both the injectors (GM Factory Power Train Warranty), and the connector wires (GM Genuine Parts Warranty); and(iv) I was told by Jay at GM Customer Care that if I sought guidance from my attorney, even if such guidance did not include my filing suit, he would no longer be able to speak with me about this issue.(v) I was told by Casper GMC to contact GM Customer Care and was told by GM Customer Care to contact Casper GMC.Casper GMC and GM Customer Care do a good job of watching each other’s back but totally ignore the backs of customers like me.If this sounds like fun to you, please go straight to Casper GMC and buy a truck. My truck had a problem where all 4 of my brakes locked up and the brake pedal would not depress at all. I had to drive from 2 to 4 miles to get where I was going with the accelerator pedal fully depressed and going 35 miles per hour. The brakes were all four very hot and smoking. Within 2 hours the brakes were back to normal. This happened approximately 5 times before I was able to get into a gm authorized dealer. They let me use a loaner until they could test drive my truck. They called me and told me that they found the problem with the front brakes. I confronted the service manager and told him that they had not found the problem because when the problem occurred all four brakes locked up. He quoted me a price of $850.00 to make the repairs the mechanic thought would solve the problem. I told him that he had not found the problem and If I agreed to the costs and the repairs and it continued he would have to absorb the cost of the necessary repairs. He stated I would do that anyway. I authorized the repairs and within two weeks the brakes all locked up again. I asked him if he could call technical services about the problem. He said he only had one mechanic who was authorized to call the gm technical service dept.I wanted me to return the vehicle for them to test drive it again. In the meantime I found another source of information and was told all I needed to do was replace the brake fluid reservoir cap and the problem would never happen again... I was promised a loaner vehicle while they test drove my truck. While I was for the loaner car I casually told the mechanic about the cap possibly could be the cause of the problem. Without my knowledge and without telling the service manager he changed the cap before they started test driving the truck. After a week I called to find out about my truck and they had had no failures. I returned the loaner car and spoke to the mechanic while they were making out the paperwork for my truck and the loaner. He told me that he had changed the cap and raised the hood to show me a new cap had been installed. I have filed a complaint with the dealership and asked for some relief on the cost of the repairs to my truck. I was told that he had met with the service manager and the mechanic and they believe that the cap was not the problem.I have driven the truck for over 3 months since the cap was replaced. As I was leaving the dealership I met the service manager and I asked him if he had called their technical service department about the problem. He stated that he and the mechanic did not believe the cap and since my truck was over 10 years old with over 175,000 miles he would not bother technical services with my trucks problem. I told him if he felt that way HE WAS AN IDIOT. He said thank you and turned and walked away. I really would like to know how to contact someone from GMC who can explain to me how the brakes are affected by the brake fluid cap. Thank you for your time and concern about my problem.

I purchased a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LS in 2011. l loved the car at first sight. A few weeks after purchase, notice that the transmission would jerk at certain miles per hour, and fluctuate at certain speeds and when the cruise control is engaged, it fluctuates also hmmmm... So I called GM in April of 2012, had them look up my warranty and they said I was in luck. My power train was still in effect WOW. Was so happy to hear that so I took my car to the local Saturn Cadillac hummer dealership which also was owned by GM back then. They kept my car overnight and have me a rental. I was so happy.Called them up the next afternoon, car wasnt ready. Called them the next morning, they told me they didnt see anything wrong and said I can come and pick up the car. They told me the car is running as design hmm.. I wasnt satisfied with that answer so I took it to Ed Morse Chevrolet, a next dealership that doesnt know whats wrong with my car. First they told me it was the solenoid. They have me a rental that happens to have the same engine and transmission and that car drove perfectly, so a few days later I picked the car up. That next day, I notice the car was still doing the same thing. I misunderstood my warranty statement, also it said 100k or September 14 2013. Silly me, I thought it was my option lol, so before all of that occurred I was back and forth with this dealership.GM and GM customer service specialist who in my opinion is a waste of time, it took them after my warranty expires to diagnose my car with a bad torque converter which GM would split the bill with me. OK that was $850 dollars. Wow. I was furious it took me and GM 2 weeks to come to a conclusion that I would have to pay half so I saved up my portion, took the car over there and they didnt want to give me a rental and I just had a baby girl. I was furious and still am. OK I left the car over there for three days, picked it up and the car was still doing the same thing and just three weeks ago they told me they want to keep the car for another 24 hours, thats 3 working days. Ive had enough. I talked to another GM dealership. They told me that Ed Morse should of had recommended the new transmission since they dont repair they replace the issue should have been corrected. They quoted me over $3500 for a new transmission with installation, but according to them if I can get GM to give me a deductible cost for over $1400, that sounds good but I thought about it. Why should I pay when I was trying to get them to fix my car for 2 years? Im gonna sue this dealership in a few weeks, wish me luck. Going to the judge, will see things my way and see the incompetence and lack of respect that has for their customer! Cant put order number, dont know which one to put got like three of them.

Purchased used vehicle in 2015. 1 year later transmission failed (2008 Saturn Vue XR). Turns out to be 3-5-r waveplate. Part was not heat treated to spec in this year’s vehicle (faulty part). Should have been a recall for this problem. GM finally honored coverage of said repairs but only 120,000 miles or less. My vehicle had 123,000 miles when this happened. GM would not honor repairs even though the said faulty part was installed into transmission during assembly.

I bought a used Equinox in 2015, it was a 2011 model. I loved the SUV. It was my dream ride, lovely interior. Sound ride. Within a year and half, had to replace the transmission, but I was under warranty. Other issues arose where the repairs came out of my pocket. Recently the car was using excessive amounts of oil. I took it to the Waldorf, MD dealership, found out there was an oil consumption issue, the dealership wanted to charge me 6000 to 8000 to repair or replace the engine. The representative on the phone quoted those prices like I could just dig into my unlimited funds and pay this amount. Apparently the assumption is that we all had reams of money laying around to spend. Apparently, the car had a warranty for this issue which expired at 120,000 miles or 7 years. The SUV only had 98,000 miles, but unfortunately for me the clock started on the 7 years the day it was put in the showroom, and not the day I bought it. I reached out to GM and was informed the best they would offer me is 10 percent off the repair work. In the meantime I looked up my issue, and found GM had agreed to settle a lawsuit dealing with this issue, but the suit had not been finalized as of my complaint 10/7/2019. Its, shameful that a company as big as GM, who touts its reputation on producing top notch cars/SUVs and providing excellent customer service, would basically say 10 percent is the best I can do, when there is an outstanding lawsuit. Way to go GMs, you should be proud of yourselves.

We purchased a oil pump through a local car dealership. We had to pay our mechanic to install the oil pump. The car was still having issues. We had to pay to take the vehicle to a dealership to run diagnostics to find the issue. It was confirmed the oil pump was defective and needed to be replaced. We were able to return the part and exchange for a new one with the original dealership. I asked that dealership about getting our expense on having to replace the oil pump and the diagnostics testing ($850) refunded. I was told the dealership would not issue any refund on that and to contact GM. I called GMs customer support line and was told because the mileage exceeded 36,000 miles, they would not offer any assistance on getting a refund on our expenses incurred from the defective part.

It would seem that General Motors doesn’t understand customer satisfaction. Before today, if you would ever ask me what car to buy, I would always recommend a GM vehicle. It will be long time before I do that again. Through my local dealer I ordered a part 2 weeks ago, for which they took my money to order it, the part has shipped to one of the GM warehouses, who doesn’t seem to have any urgency to release to the dealer from which I purchased it.Even the dealer has no luck requesting the release of the part and GM customer service says I have to work through the dealer to get the part released because once it has shipped from GM, GM is no longer responsible for it, even though, according to my local dealer, this warehouse 75 is the GM centralized distribution center. I am now waiting on a supervisor from GM customer service to call me back. 24 to 48 hours although in the meantime I am stuck driving on a cracked GM rim that could go out at any time. Being a GM owner all my adult life, this has me frustrated and has developed a true regret in standing by GM all these years. General Motors, you have lost a long term supporter.

Just before my 36,000 mile warranty expired my aluminum rims on my company truck were corroding and heavy discoloration and instead of replacing them tho choose to have a 3rd source try to repair them. He got the corrosion off but left rough surfaces on the rims. When I brought it back less than 6 months later because they were corroding again, they gave me the run around. I went there 2 times and finally on the 3rd time the refinishing guy said he only did the edges and blamed it on everyone else. The service manager took me over to some replacement wheels and rims that he would change out on my truck, but of course that never worked even though he said it was cheaper than replacing my wheels. I can buy them on line for $185 each and that was too expensive. Next thing I knew the service manager closed out my complaint. So I went and started a new complaint. They called me days later and offered me $1000 they said, do you need running boards, bug shield, topper? I said, “Just replace my 4 wheels $740”, but would not do that or give me the money to buy them.

GM customer care and service department are awful. On May 20th, I purchased a 2016 Camaro 2SS with 2700 miles on it. By May 30th it was acting up and in the shop for warranty work. It is now June 16th, and the dealership still has my car. And that is GMs fault. After a week the dealership was stumped and began requesting assistance from GM. After two weeks of still being stumped, the dealership began requesting a field engineer, since they had not been able to diagnose the issue in over two weeks. GM will not give them an answer. Its a less than one year old car with 2700 miles on it and its been in the shop now for three weeks straight and counting, dont you think at this point its an issue worth expediting? Its not an old car. It has very low mileage and should not have any issues. Its an almost $50,000 car for goodness sake. But in GM fashion they wont move until my attorney contacts them about a lemon law suit, and a civil suit for car payments, registration, taxes, loss of use, and being overall terrible to work with. Oh well, I guess GM doesnt care about another lemon on their record and another lawsuit lost.

My dealership attempted to assist me in filing a claim with GMC warranty department regarding my rims peeling. My bumper to bumper warranty expired a few hundred miles ago. I only have 36,000 miles on my vehicle and I havent even owned it for two years. GMC is attempting to state that I used harsh cleaner and will be responsible for replacing the rims. My dealership doesnt agree and believes it is a manufacturing defect.I researched the internet and found that many people have had the same issue. Those that still had a warranty were able to get them replaced but those that reported it after the warranty period were denied. Carla with GMC warranty was very rude and disrespectful. I asked to speak to management or another person and she stated rudely I am the final decision. Is this really how you treat your customers? While fighting this issue my gear shifter went out in my vehicle. This vehicle has more issues than my Toyota ever had with 75,000 miles on it! I do not recommend the 2017 Arcadia Denali to anyone.

At the beginning of 2015 at 121,000 miles on my Traverse it was diagnosed with timing chain issues. A couple of weeks (end of Jan 2015) later I received a letter from Chevy extending the warranty on the timing chain (mind you the letter was dated for Nov 2014) to 120,000. However because I was 1,000 miles over the warranty there was nothing they would do for me. Repairs would start at $3,000. After calling GM on a few occasions still there is nothing they will do. Then there comes more warranty extensions for Throttle Position Sensor that is part of the Throttle Body again pass the allowable miles.I am at a loss how a company can have know about these issues for years then when knowing that most of these 2009 vehicles are probably past the mileage warranties they extend warranties to prevent a recall. As of right now my 2009 Chevy Traverse is now a $32,000 paperweight. The catastrophic break down of the timing chain has happened. Looking for some remedy for a mutual satisfaction my auto technician has told me that with all the issues that motor has (which GM has been aware of for sometime now) it is not worth putting that kind of money and work into it and suggests a used motor as the more reasonable remedy.

From the day we took delivery of this new Hummer H2, it has been nothing short of a nightmare of repairs. The roof seam leaked from day 1 and it took at least a dozen trips to the dealer to fix. The check engine light was next and 2 trips to the dealer fixed that, a new fuel filler neck assembly. Next the speedometer quit working and we had to drive the truck for a year with no idea what the speed was before the parts were available at the dealer to fix. At the same time, the ignition switch failed and was replaced with 1 trip to the dealer. After that the climate control system quit working correctly, blows heat out of one side and A/C out of the other when in the A/C mode. A part called an actuator fixed the passenger side but now the drivers side is blowing heat out like the passenger side. The climate control system has never worked right and never will. Theres nothing like a family summer vacation with the heat on in a $52,000 truck. We have had to just roll the windows down and suck it up until you get home. I have lost tens of thousands of dollars in lost work time taking this truck to be repaired. Would I buy another GM product? I would not take it if you gave it to me. I cant afford the time off work or the repair bills. This truck is a 2004 with 54,000 miles on it and is garage kept, never been off road. It still has the original tires on it and they are only about 70% worn. The customer service dept stated that GM would buy the truck back during the dozen roof repair attempts, but the amount they wanted to give us back should have been a criminal offense after what we paid for this truck.

I paid thousands for the GM extended warranty protection plan to get denied on a catalytic converter that is shot. The vehicle is 2 years old and under the federal emissions act warranty and even under my extended warranty. Nowhere on that protection plan paperwork states this would not be covered. I called GM direct and got a run around stating the vehicle was used and that is why it’s getting denied. Then their next excuse was in their records I was a third owner of the vehicle which is not fact. Im the only owner of the vehicle. Then I get “We cannot help you due to you exceeded the miles by 6K so sorry.”Now I have a bill in the thousands after shelling thousands out upfront first so I would be protected from incidences like this. My vehicle is a 2014 Chevy Cruze with 86K miles. I purchased it certified used with 8k miles. I have an extended GM warranty that covers up to 108K miles. Instead GM and the GM Extended Warranty Protection Plan denied my case. I am now seeking the attorney general. Also GM refused to give me my case number.

Why is it when the recalls on Pontiac hit the news, oh GM did this and GM did that but the other problems are for people who have these cars financed? You go through KBB or Auto-trader for a quote on what your car is worth and its nowhere near what you owe on the car even with a less than 4% finance rate. Even with your car being in great shape, you still cant get what its worth but then you check the dealerships for the same car and its 4000, 5000, even as much as 6000 more than your KBB and Auto Trader and these cars arent in as good of shape as yours. This is another problem that GM has caused and the dealerships are being paid to fix the cars by GM and then clearing $4000.00 or more on the sales of these cars. Its not right to the persons who have to pay for these cars to never get back what the cars are worth. Come on, GM. Step up and buy these cars back and then you try to sell them and see how quick your mistakes are putting the blue collar man in the hole.

On October 13, 2014, I took my 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo to Harbor Chevrolet in Michigan City IN for the ignition recall. Sixteen days later on 29th of October, my car would not start. Key found, not turn. I had the car towed to Sauers Buick GMC in LaPorte IN. I was told the ignition needed to be replaced. $881.00 that cost. Car ran good, but in one week check engine light was back on. Took it back on the 10th of October. This time I was told that it was an emissions problem, and another $49 for a gas cap. I was assured this was the problem, even though I didnt think there was anything wrong with the gas cap. By the 14th, just 4 days later, the Check engine light is back on. I called and again was told to bring the car in. Returned and left car on October 24 for the afternoon. This time I am told its a vent valve leaking that is defective and this is going to cost over $300 dollars to fix. I declined this repair. Enough is enough already. I think each time I take the car in, they will keep finding something wrong...or making something wrong. I feel I am being taken for a ride in my own car, and its not a ride I am enjoying. This all started with that recall, and turned into a $900 ride. And they still want more. I doubt that there is a vent valve leak. I am sick of getting screwed. Highly doubtful I will be buying another GM car if this how they treat customers.

The vehicle has been in FIVE TIMES for various electrical issues including brake system failures (x3), and most recently the vehicle shut off while I was traveling +60mph. I fear for my safety. See attached invoice photos. Their staff sees you as a number - a price tag. Their “Customer Experience Manager” did not even look at me, he talked over me, and downright refused to help me - would not even give me the customer service phone number. 9/15/17- Purchased 2014 Chevy Equinox, also paid $2500 for an extended warranty with CNA National. 7/18/18 - Vehicle just shut off while driving for maybe 10 minutes. It felt as if the battery had died. Please note I had no other issues prior to this with the vehicle. Tried to start it, and it sounded as if someone was playing the drums under my hood. Pushed car to safe location, and went home for the evening.7/19/18 – I got a ride to the vehicle with hopes of it starting. Same thing happened. So, I reached out to my warranty company (CNAN) and was told that I can have the vehicle towed through their Roadside Assistance to a repair shop of my choice, and once an estimate was prepared, they would pay over the phone with a credit card. I had the vehicle towed to Quality Buick GMC in Alton, IL. 7/20/18 - Received a call from Quality that timing chain was busted, along with several other items, and engine was full of sludge. They stated I was still covered under GM Powertrain warranty and they submitted all of the information to GM, and got me a rental through Enterprise.7/24/18 - Received a call from Quality stating that GM declined repairs, and now extended warranty company would not pay for the rental I had for days. I contacted GM and requested a supervisor to discuss options. Supervisor stated that they would review case and contact me within 2 days. With the vehicle having under 100,000 miles, she didn’t see any reason why they wouldn’t cover it. She asked where the vehicle was located and I started Quality Buick GM in Alton, after searching their database, she said they were not certified to do the repairs, and the vehicle would have to be towed to another location. She reached out to Jack ** in Wood River, and also as a courtesy, reached out to Chevy Roadside assistance to do a Dealer to Dealer transfer at no cost to me. I was very grateful for that. She said the roadside assistance company would reach out to me within 20 minutes, and gave me a number to call if they did not. 45 minutes went by and I called Chevy Roadside Assistance to follow up on the transfer. Of course, they had no information, and was not eligible for the transfer. I contacted GM Warranty again, and they said she was not allowed to do that, and there was nothing they could do at that moment, and case was re-opened and pending investigation. Reached out to CNAC (extended warranty company) and Roadside Assistance wasn’t available with them either until 7 days from last time used. Frustrated, I hang up, and look for other options online. I received a call from Allstate Ins. that they were attempting to pick up the vehicle, but there was a $300 balance with Quality Pontiac before vehicle could be transferred. They stated they were called out by Chevy Roadside Assistance, who just told me they had no information for transfer. So, I reached out to Quality for information on balance owed. They stated $100+ for opening up the engine, and the remaining balance was for the rental. Also, vehicle would not be released until balance was paid. I explained to them that GM Warranty needed a Certified Dealer to estimate repairs, and they informed me they are a certified dealer. I called GM Warranty back to let them know what was going on, and they said the other person I talked to must be new, or not know what she is doing, because Quality is a certified dealer. I would only be getting charged more money by having another dealer open up the engine to do the estimate. I explained to them I would be leaving the vehicle at Quality, and gave them the contact info for the service department for investigation on repairs.7/26/18 - Received a call from GM Warranty that repairs would not be covered due to it not being a manufacturer defect. That was their final answer. I spoke with 2 different service departments, Quality, and Jack ** and they stated there is no way the sludge in the engine could have been caused in the 10 months I’ve had the vehicle. Oil changes were always done on time, and I have proof of that. So, how it is that I now have a car with $6000+ damages, and a 14,000 balance on, $600 balance for rental + Quality doing estimate, and I’m responsible. I drive my car to make a living, and not only am I without a car, I’m now also without a job. I am beyond frustrated, and any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

I took my vehicle to the dealer over a month ago with what I thought was transmission problem. Was told that I needed a torque converter and would be covered under warranty. Again, this was over a month ago and still no parts. I called GM to see if they could help. After about 7 days of waiting on a response from GM, was told that there was nothing they could do and should continue to reach out to the dealer. So I call the dealer back to be told that they have over 40 other vehicles on their lot that they can’t service because they can’t get parts from GM. I think this is the most ridiculous thing that GM cannot get parts to the dealers do that the vehicles they sell can be serviced or repaired. WHAT A JOKE. And they can’t blame it on the strike. I purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado in February 2017 with only 26 test drive mileage. I have always kept up with my OnStar diagnosis report which never had any major concerns just alerts when we need oil change or minor stuff i.e. tire needs air. The vehicle had no accidents or major repairs ever done to it so Im not understanding how the service department tells me I need to pay $4,600 for new transmission. I called GM customer relations and advised them of this but 2 weeks after all the back and forth no one to this day has resolved anything. Im still being asked to pay my normal monthly truck payment and no one is even hearing my main concern which is if such a new vehicle (2017) needs a transmission it has to be a faulty transmission in the vehicle all along. I kept up with my oil changes, the vehicle never had any accidents or off the market parts placed on it.

I own a 2013 Chevy Equinox that was part of a class action suit for excessive oil consumption. The suit was settled, but Poage Chevrolet and GM will not honor the warranty. The vehicle was under 120,000 miles when the suit was filed but is over 120,000 by the time the suit was settled. According to the settlement, they should be repairing the engine. However, they are saying that because the vehicle is now over 120,000 miles they will only pay half. I also had a $1,000 repair I paid before this suit was filed. Im not sure how they would expect miles not to be put on during the 5 months of litigation - I still had to drive it. Car has since had lose of power, sluggish, dies periodically, and now almost 3 years after thousand dollar repair not to mention the air bag light that is on that they are telling me will cost at least 1000 dollars as well to repair as my car is out of warranty and that it is a safety concern. My car died again while coming through a intersection and the P0341 has come up and been replaced four times since February 2019. This car is a danger and I am forced to drive it when it runs as I have so much money invested I cant afford a new one. I have also replaced the throttle body and just about every sensor under the hood including spark plugs and battery and car is still acting up. Why are they not helping us. Someone is going to get killed. It stalls suddenly and with little to no warning. I am terrified to transport my kids in this car. Please help us…

The gold part of my front Chevy bowtie emblem fell out on its own a few weeks ago, for no reason. The piece is gone. Car is out of warranty but like new. Called dealer/service... $40 for part, $100 for labor. The part fell out on its own. Submitted an email to GM customer care. After a week of phone tag all they did was call same dealer and confirm repair cost. The part is available online for $19. Chevy, GM and their dependent businesses all lost me as a customer today. Complete waste of time. No discount offered... NOTHING! Do not buy GM cars. They dont care about their customers after the sale at all. GM has no pride in their product.

I own a 2012 GMC Terrain that is covered by a GMPP. The vehicle is 5 years old and has 28K miles on it. I noticed some mold growing in the carpet. The cause turned out to be a broken drain tube in the sunroof. The GMPP is a bumper to bumper coverage not covering maintenance items or wearables. This part is neither, yet GM refuses to warrant the repair in any way. Anyone who purchases a GM product has rocks in their head. This is my last GM product.

I had 49,500 miles in my Chevy Silverado and had a catastrophic engine fail
I had 49,500 miles in my Chevy Silverado and had a catastrophic engine failure. A lifter collapsed and damaged the camshaft when I took off from a streetlight. No engine should fail with less than 50,000 miles on it. GM offered to pay 10% of the repair costs which is inadequate given this engine is obviously a lemon and is unreliable from the factory. Taking a several thousand dollar loss and going back to Toyota. I should have never strayed from Toyota. Because GM does not stand behind their defective engine, I also sold my Tahoe and purchase a Tacoma. I was also able to convince a family member to not purchase a Corvette. I will also work to convince as many people as I can to not purchase a GM product.

Chevy Corsa 1.4i, vehicle not repaired properly - I bought a brand new vehicle. Three days later, I contacted the dealer and reported a faulty air con. I straightaway asked for a new car and was told that it has to be repaired and that it was the air con unit box in the dashboard. After a month and a half, I was told my car is ready for collection. On inspection, my fuse box cover was damaged and was replaced by a demo vehicle. The front of my bumper was damaged and had to go to the panel beaters for a re-spray after one of the workshop guys (unprofessional) try to touch it up with paint, causing more damage. After I received it back, I returned it within 24 hours complaining my left mirror cover is not lining up like the right hand side. One of the guys tried to repair it (not the same guy who assembled the job) after I received it back, they broke the right hand side leaving it out of its bracket and a big gap. I was told then, that I must return the vehicle in two weeks when the guy who assembled my car will be back from leave. When I try and put my car in reverse, the gears are scratching badly before it goes in. I feel that my car was not worked on by professional and my life is in danger with the gears scratching believing it might jam while I am driving or leave me stranded.

I brought my 2014 Chevy cruze with less than 8000 miles into the lake Elsinore Chevy dealership service department 31201 auto center drive 9/3/14. I had recently picked up my vehicle from the same service department for a drive train recall. My cruze had been in the service department for roughly 10 weeks and it was shortly after picking it up, experiencing extreme symptoms. Excessive down shifting accompanied with vibration and power failure. A week later I was called and asked to pick up my cruze. I was told the issues could not be identified, addressed and or resolved. That I needed to continue driving until symptoms became more severe. Being uncomfortable driving vehicle in said condition, I contacted GM via email and phone pleading for assistance. After lengthy discussions and numerous denials for relief, it was insisted upon me that I pick up my vehicle. Prior to taking possession on 10/25/14, I opened a claim with GM # ** . Less than a week later on 10/31/14, my vehicle was totaled in a collision. Just as I was experiencing the very symptoms for which my cruze was in service, I could not stop or get out of the way of the brake lights in front of me. On 11/1/14 after contacting my insurance, I contacted GM via phone and email seeking temporary transportation relief while we figure this out. After lengthy discussion and numerous denials for assistance and or relief, I am on my own and left high and dry by GM. To date, I am without a vehicle and cannot generate income. My insurance cannot pay off due to an ongoing investigation. Banks will not back me for an auto loan until my current loan is paid off. As a customer, GM has refused to assist me get into a new vehicle and apparently is content watching me go down financially.DEC. 24, 2014 UPDATE: I am currently seeking legal representation in regards to my previous review about GM. I have documentation detailing their refusal to assist my concerns and forcing me to drive an unsafe vehicle resulting in a collision that totaled my vehicle on 10/31/14. As I stated previously, I dropped off my car with less than 8000 miles at the Lake Elsinore Chevy service department after experiencing complete power failure. My 2014 Chevy Cruze had just recently been in service for 10 weeks for a drive train recall and I had only driven it a short time before experiencing negative symptoms such as excessive vibration and sporadic down shifting escalating to complete power failure. I bought this car in January 2014 and it has been in service for a longer period than in my own drive way. Service tells me they cannot identify the issues and that I need to drive the car further until the symptoms become more severe and to pick up the car. Prior to picking up my car I called GM telling them that the car was unsafe and pleaded for assistance. After two weeks of being assigned to three different case managers it was insisted upon me that I pick up my vehicle and was referred to the advice of the service department. Less than a week later on my way home from work I experienced power failure and slammed into brake lights in front of me. The next day after contacting my insurance company I contacted GM seeking assistance and transportation relief. To date GM has offered no assistance and/or relief and I am stuck with a deductible and no transportation. Prior to picking up my 2014 Cruze and prior to the collision I opened a case with GM of objection #**. As I stated I have documentation of all described and am seeking legal representation to file a negligence case against the dealer and service department and a product liability case against GM. I have not worked and/or generated income since the collision due to lack of transportation. GM has been made aware of my situation and politely refuse to assist me as a customer in any form. After attempting and failing at diplomatic resolution with GM, no choice but to write reviews and let the public know whats going on here. After driving a new car with full coverage insurance, is it really possible to go all the way down financially after a collision because the responsible party refuses to step up and have your back?

I contacted what I thought was customer service to lodge a concern but all I see is its in the comment section on the website. Potentially, this is the reason why I havent been contacted but still surprised that a possible negative comment made didnt get a reply. So now, I need to get serious before the conflict gets out of hand. I do want to be fair but Im concerned that the car was purchased and not leased. Because I wanted it to be my last large purchase, it wont outlive me and will only start being a headache for both of us. Please reply and lets discuss options for both parties.

GM provides a full bumper to bumper warranty on their new cars as well as 2
GM provides a full bumper to bumper warranty on their new cars as well as 24-hour roadside assistance program if your car happens to break down. As a consumer you are entitled to a tow and transportation to your home, work, or dealer. As I read in my contract after buying a new car from GM. My new car unfortunately broke down in an extreme way at only 300 miles due to water pump failure and engine overheat. Naturally I cannot drive the car anymore and have to pull over to side of the road and call GM 24 roadside assistance. This breakdown is a bummer, but it happens. Overall the call goes well. I am told a tow truck is on its way as well as a cab to take me home. Sounds fine. Except none of this happens.I call again after over an hour. Apparently there is no record of the tow trucks being sent or the cab. They apologize and resubmit the requests for me. Okay, mistakes happen. Again I wait for a tow and cab, but they never come. I call a third time. Same issue. So my request is resubmitted. I wait again, nothing comes. Its getting near 10pm now. Real bummer for me. Eventually I get a tow truck though. No cab. Reason? Cab cant be located. Weird. I get a cab via my phone app shortly afterward. That was a fun 5 hours.Since my car wasnt picked up till after 10pm, dealers are closed and I could not be given a loaner car (which you are entitled to if your car breaks down under warranty) to take me to work the next day. This is fine though since I am told GM can provide transportation to either the dealer or my work the next morning. Next morning I call GM roadside assistance. They say they will get me a ride to work. They call back 30 minutes later, they cannot provide me a ride to work. I ask for a ride to the dealer. They say okay. They call back 45 minutes later and say they cannot get me a ride to the dealer. I call my local dealer rather than 24 roadside assistance - they come pick me up and provide me with a loaner. Guess I shouldnt rely on promised services from GM directly. Conclusion: GMs 24 roadside assistance has obligations that they failed to meet in my situation. I do not understand why. If something is promised, but not provided, there should be accountability. I have not the time or resources to hold GM accountable, but the fault does not vanish. If GM cannot execute on obligations then they should not be stated to the consumer when vehicle is being purchased. One main reason I purchased a new car was the security of a warranty and assistance from GM if poor car operation became an issue. The car issue happened unfortunately, but GM failed to rise to its promises.GMs problem: big on promises, poor on execution. It was cheaper to screw me then to make good on a promise of service. As one person, what can I reasonably do? How can I reasonably prove lack of service effort on GMs part? GM knows the average consumer has neither the time or awareness on how to stand up for themselves. Thanks GM, you swindled me good. Even after going through bankruptcy, which as I recall we citizens paid for, GM still stutters about on cost savings of value proposition. Thanks US government, you made us pay for it. Next time, let capitalism run its course.

I bought a new vehicle 2014 Chevy Camaro with a v6 3.7 engine and GM didnt think it was necessary to install a low oil sensor in their engines. Recently I changed my oil as I have always on time when prompted to. And replaced oil filter cap and the o-ring did not seal properly so needless to say without any warning lights or anything the engine pumped out 5 1/2 quarts of much needed 6 total of my oil. Didnt realize anything was wrong until the engine started making a loud noise. Of course GM says theyre not responsible for this mistake because I changed my own oil. But I ask GM why I can buy a $99 lawn mower with a low oil sensor in the engine to protect my investment but a $26,000 Camaro does not have a low oil sensor in the engine to protect my investment. I said even if I fix the car myself this can happen again.I have always been a Chevy man but this just makes no sense to me why they would not invest another $20-$30 to protect what the dealer said will cost me now at least $9500 for a new engine, which I totally disagree with because its only ticking and may not need a new engine but for now and the next 4-5 yrs. Ill be paying very high payments on a yellow lemon yard ornament... this should be a recall. Theres no excuse for this type of manufacturing, very disappointed in the brand Ive bragged about for many years. If this is their best they can build for consumers, they should stop building cars. At this point, I can promise I will always tell people about the warning of the disrespect for consumer investment that GM does not care one damn bit about you after you purchase their product. Thank you, Rick... a very disappointed consumer.

I have bought 2 Chevy Cobalts and I will never buy another one in my life.
I have bought 2 Chevy Cobalts and I will never buy another one in my life. First one I bought was about 3 years ago. I was on my way back from GA and a semi hit me and I spun out on the highway and totaled my car. Well my airbags did not deploy. No big deal. No one was hurt. I called Chevy to let them know that the airbags did not deploy. I heard nothing back from them. I bought my 2nd Chevy Cobalt in May. I let my niece drive my car and she pulled out in front of a car going 50 mph. Car spun out hit another car. GUESS WHAT. The airbags did not deploy... Everyone that was in the car was treated at the hospital. Called Chevy and reported it. LOL. Guess what they said the airbags will only deploy if they are hit head on. WOW really. So because the car was hit on the side and the back of the car, the airbags did not deploy. Getting hit at 50 mph should have deployed the airbag. But my claim DENIED because they were not hit head on. Thank God that they were not hit head on because I probably would not have my niece, son, nephew or grandbaby. I will NEVER buy a Chevy nor will any of my friend and family. What a joke this company is.

2008 gmc denali radio control tire censor. What a stupid total waste of money. Cost me another 300.00 to get the stupid aluminum junk parts replaced. I never seen such a total stupid unnecessary device in my life. I had one tire worked on 3 times and they found nothing wrong but it still leaked. Most tire dealers drop the nut off the sensor and let it drop into the tire not wanting to tell you it cost another $80.00 a tire to fix the problem the junk sensor. I happen to get an honest dealer and explained the stupid engineering retarded situation. Thanks for the stupid extra expense. I grew up when a car had an ignition switch and an oil gauge and was happy. I own a tire gauge and can see a low tire that does not cost an extra $300.00 from my social security.I called gmc customer service 5 times and got nothing but the run around. I was disconnected and put on hold several times. Rep 1 was foreign, could not understand me. Rep 2 I was disconnected. Rep 3 wanted me to spell sensor three times, said he had never heard of that type of auto part. Rep 4 asked for my first name then put me on hold then rep 5 asked for my last name, then my address and I said 6867, only my house number then she asked me to spell it. So I said six eight six seven. Then she started to explain why I had to spell. I never got my whole address out she kept talking over me. The whole experience was like a comedy routine saturday night live. Smartest man movie.

Leased a 2019 Colorado crew cab long box 4x4 on Dec 12, 2018. Fuel gauge has not worked properly since taking possession. Has been back to dealer 2 times now with no resolve. Truck has now developed a nasty rumbling sensation (like driving over rumble strips) at all speeds with it being more noticeable at 55 or above. Dealer states that this is due to the wrong transmission fluid being used in the 8 speed transmission but they (dealership) does not have the required tools to drain and replace fluid. Gas gauge issue is still not resolved. Requested a GM buyback of vehicle three weeks ago. (Truck has under 1000 miles on it) Have finally heard back from GM and they agree to buy back the truck. Now I have to figure out what to buy. Note: I also leased a 2019 Traverse LT for my wife the same day. I am thinking that these will be my last GM products.

GM has a major design flaw in the 2.4 ltr engine. They have issued a TSB 14882 to extend the warranty to 10 yr 120,000 miles on a few series of motors for the stated problems. They are refusing to cover the other series of 2.4 engines that are experiencing the same issues with the explanation that they have not seen this issue in the engines not listed. But if you look on the web you will see hundreds upon hundreds of customers who are left with major engine repair bills for a known issue on the 2.4 ltr engine.

I purchased a 2013 GMC Terrain. It had 74000 miles on it when I bought it. 50000 miles later I have spent 2500 dollars on it. Hub replacement, wheel sensor replacement, leaking gasket causing strong fuel odor in the vehicle. Now, to top it all off I have an oil consumption issue. Its using a quart every thousand miles. When the oil gets low no warning lights come on. The dealer says it will be a minimum 3000 dollars to fix and very its very possible the motor would have to be replaced. I have 2 friends that own Chevy or GMC SUVs and they have had the same issue. GM is not the quality it used to be. Dont buy it.

I purchased a new 2019 Chevy Blazer in June 2019. In October 2019 another driver ran a red light and hit me. My car had front end damage that I have now been waiting over 4 months for repair on. GM cannot tell the dealership or the repair shop when the parts will be in and will not assist in putting me in a replacement vehicle in the interim. I started a claim within their customer service department at corporate and cannot get anyone to assist me or return my calls. I have been waiting over a month to speak to an actual person to help me. In the interim I have no vehicle and am out of pocket almost $5,000 in rental car fees. GM has forgotten the customer in customer service and as someone whose last 4 vehicles were GM, it is disappointing to see. I will not be a return customer anymore after this horrible ongoing experience. Stay away. They cannot meet the demand for parts on anything, nor do they care.
