Was excited about getting a steam oven in April 2015. I like to bake bread. Disappointed that top temp is 450 degrees F. Still, it makes nice (not great) bread. But really upset that the light bulb blows out because its glass enclosure has a seal made of crumbly black stuff that lets the steam right in. When I tried to order replacement gaskets, I was told I had to order the entire glass cover, as well. Rip-off! In this century, gaskets like this should last for Years!

This is an amazing refrigerator! We have had it for about 15 months now and absolutely love it. One caveat: You must defrost the automatic ice maker periodically or it will freeze up and stop working. It is very easy. Just lift it out and let the ice that forms around the outside of the icemaker mechanism itself thaw, then put it back in. I would buy this appliance again.

In 1993 a 30 dual fuel RDSS30 was installed in a custom home. We bought the house in 1998. Within 2 years the front panel would start to blink. This turned into the panel shutting down. We were told back then that we could not get the computer panel. My husband just happened to find a floor model of the same stove so we purchased another RDSS30 not realizing this was a chronic problem with Thermador. Within a year the computer panel would start blinking then the oven would just randomly shut off. We never even used the self clean feature being afraid the extra heat would make it worse. Now it is to the point where the number are so dim you cannot see them unless you are in the dark. The oven will not heat beyond around 300. It shuts off without warning. How can a 5 year old $5000 stove not be able to be fixed? There are outside companies that offer the service to rebuild the boards. So why cant Thermador? I will tell you why. They do not give a damn.

I purchased $8000 Thermador oven that is worthless. The broiler function has never worked, and it does not heat evenly. The top igniter unit does not work. I have spent over $1500 in repairmen claiming they fixed the problem when in reality they never fixed anything. With a gas oven, how does one know if it is truly fixed? Do not buy Thermador. The company, the appliance center where we purchased the oven, and the repairmen were all of no help. Now we are stuck with this expensive oven that we cant even use. All items come out burnt on the bottom and completely raw on top.

Great if they work-HORRIBLE SERVICE IF THEY DONT. I recently purchased 33k worth of Thermador appliances from Ferguson. I took delivery of the appliances and just had the 12k+ range installed. I am in the middle of my move and eager to be settled. It is defective and I tried calling your service line. After being on hold over 25 minutes Teresa answered the line and was brusque in manner. She informed me that I could wait until September 22 for service. That is quite a distance away, so I asked for an alternative. She said I could call one other authorized service technician in the Los Angeles area that is permitted to service your brand. I am unfamiliar with this process so I asked if it is I that would call, and if your company would be taking care of the payment, and she replied “if you would let me finish I would tell you”. I was merely asking about the process. SO rude. I thought you were meant to be a luxury brand.Certainly your call center missed the service piece of that experience. I said that I was “trying to get clear about the process and that she needn’t be rude about it- that I was unfamiliar with this process as I had not done it before”. Teresa curtly answered that if I didn’t like her manner that she would turn me over to another agent and before I could protest she promptly hung up on me. I am frankly appalled and I plan on putting this company on blast all over the internet for the lack of service, and ridiculous treatment.I have an expensive product that is defective, am in the middle of a move, and am merely trying to get something fixed. Now I have to spend additional hours chasing this down while working full time and attending to various other obligations. I would hope to get some assistance. We recently purchased a home that has a Thermador range in it. I love to cook and believed this unit was a high end range, just waiting, waiting for an opportunity to use it. Well, the first time I turned it on, the igniter did not work. That was replaced however, the oven door does not close all the way. In reading the numerous reviews, it seems the hinges are faulty. All I can say is, of all the ranges I owned, I have never had to replace either the igniter or the oven door hinges. Appears Thermador, maybe resting on its laurels, or what used to be.

We are now two months without a working freezer. I cannot stress enough how bad our experience has been. My wife is on the phone nearly everyday with customer service reps, but nothing gets done. They have sent the same incompetent repair people four times to no avail. They cancel appointments and reschedule without informing us. The corporate headquarters are in Germany, so there is no one else to talk to. At the same time, they have wanted to charge us $1,500 in labor costs. Can you imagine paying $1,500 for a job not done? I might add we have seven Thermador appliances in our kitchen! I would not recommend Thermador to anyone.Updated on 08/01/2016: We have now entered our fourth month without a freezer. It is very clear to us that Thermadors game plan is to frustrate the customer so that he/she will eventually give up. To recapsulate: we had repairmen out four or five times unable to fix the problem. On four occasions, the company cancelled the appointment without informing us and we had to reschedule. This caused additional delays. Without exaggerating, I would say my wife has been on the phone with customer service more than 30 times. Now they have offered us a new freezer at a discount, but will not provide any kind of installation or delivery into the house; nor will they remove the old, non-working freezer. The installers they recommend refuse to remove the old unit for insurance reasons. They also refuse to bring the new unit into the house from the curb. So here we are: it will cost us nearly the price of the freezer to have the new one installed if we could find someone to do it.My wife is in tears with frustration and anger. We have not been able to speak with anyone outside of customer service. It is a German company with apparently no executives here. I want to restate that our unit remains under warranty. I cant think of a worse example of customer service in my 55 years. Next step: New York State attorney general.

We recently bought a Thermador cooktop that comes with a downdraft exhaust. This was around the end of June 2017. The Range fit in fine, however the exhaust piece was broken and did not work, so they said they would order a replacement for us. We waited for the next piece for more than two months to come in. After which the company would give excuse after excuse about the piece not coming in or the installer not being available. After which the installer finally came, early October. And again the piece was faulty and did not fit nor did it work. Now after talking to customer service multiple times, they keep giving excuses and apologies, telling us to wait a few weeks for the installer to come out. In addition, have not tried to remedy the service by offering us any prompt service and refuse to offer any alternative cooktop/range set. The set cost $2000+ and we have been without the exhaust for three months now.

We spent a lot of money on a 6-burner, double oven range about $5,000, 15 years ago. One of the burners doesnt work and the oven on indicator light will not go off. When we called for service, we were told that parts would be difficult to find. The technician will charge $100 to come out and tell us that there arent any parts for this appliance because it is so old. Really, the customer service rep (and supervisor) think that this is completely acceptable since the lifetime of the appliance is about 14 years. Why pay so much money for something that will be replaced in that period of time? I have a Maytag washing machine that is 25 years old and the couple of times it needed repairs, I was never told that its so old, parts may not be available. Im writing to advise people that you may as well go with a cheaper brand that supports their product rather than a Thermador that considers their own brand disposable. Service is a disgrace. Save your money.

We purchased a new Thermador range 1 1/2 yrs ago and have had serious problems from the very first time we used it. The major problem is Thermador has a Help number to call but it is staffed by many young girls who know NOTHING about the range. I asked over and over again to speak with a tech to describe the problems and it was not allowed. (My husband and daughter are Engineers.) One of these Help girls actually told me she did not think 2 hrs to warm an oven was excessive and also there is no reason why this range would not last us 4 or 5 years! The oven would not warm up beyond 100 degrees and I ruined many meals. The repairman finally came and had to replace a couple of parts. He had to replace the computer again (which is located under the griddle and on top of the oven/broiler). Common sense tells me that is not good. Six months later problems again, the computer had to be replaced a second time along with many other parts. This week when we tried to self-clean the oven for the first time the mechanism worked for about 30 minutes and stopped. The repairman came again. Cant find anything wrong, didnt fix the problem. For the $11,000 range I would not even think of purchasing a Thermador product again. As I said the biggest problem with the company is when the oven would not work and there were 12 people in my dining room waiting for a Christmas Brunch there was no one to call who knew anything about anything (morons answering the phone)! It is extremely important to have a Help number with a competent tech person on the other end every day all day because youll need it and Thermador doesnt have it!!!The CEOs name is not to be found anywhere so no letters to write either. This unit has too many functions operated by the computer which is located in an area between a HOT oven and a HOT griddle. A computer that does not work because of being excessive heat bound. Fighting a faulty computer in a $10,440 oven while trying to make dinner isnt worth it. My advice buy another brand without computers.

I have had a dual fuel range for nine years. I have put two panels, replaced the igniters two times, and I am lighting them with a lighter once again. Ive replaced the door lock for the clean cycle, the bottom element once, and now it is bad again. When is enough? I have to give up investing in this horrible appliance. Thermador does nothing to help.

We are in the middle of installing a new kitchen with all new Thermador appliances. We bought Miele for the dishwasher instead of the free Thermador. At this point, we wish we went all Miele for everything and here is why. Nothing has been used yet since we are awaiting countertops and water but we have electricity to the appliances. Right out of the box, one of the Thermador ovens has a defective main circuit board. The drawer microwave has a defective control panel. What is Thermadors response? Call a repair shop. Which we did, waited a week, tech shows up and yup its defective. Now we are waiting 4 weeks for the parts and then a week later, maybe they will repair our brand-new, never used, just installed Thermador appliances.Thermador is a brand name owned and managed by the same folks that make Bosch which is sold at Home Depot, etc. Thermador has splashy ads in high-end magazines, etc. but it is all hype. The product quality and service is abysmal. We were flabbergasted that Thermador would not let our kitchen designer/dealer replace the defective units. If you are considering premium appliances we would recommend Miele. Check out the information online before you buy. Miele is a private, family-owned company that is uncompromising in their focus on quality. They cost more than Thermador but they are worth it. We have three Miele dishwashers at other properties. Previously, we had a Thermador cooktop downdraft that the blower motor died after two years.

I had purchased Thermador double ovens in 2015 for a kitchen renovation & it was excellent. Moved & purchased Thermador double ovens for a kitchen renovation in 2017 & the NEW DESIGN is HORRIBLE! A fan constantly blows hot air into the kitchen until the oven is turned off & completely cooled down. There are alerts during cooking but the explanation disappears in a split second so if you are not right in front of it, you have no idea what the alert is! The oven timer bings low at its highest setting & ONLY ONCE! The baking mode bakes unevenly so everything needs to be rotated! I’m so incredibly disappointed! Customer service is as disappointing as the double ovens!

We bought a house with Thermador appliances already in it. The oven has never worked properly and I have had it serviced 3 times. It never heats up to the set temp and does not hold the heat. It is impossible to cook with. Thermador was no help. In fact they stated that I would have to replace the whole unit as they are not separate units. So, instead of spending $1600 to replace the oven, I would have to spend $6500 to replace the whole unit even though the micro & warming drawer do work. Well, I will not replace it with Thermador and will never buy any of their products ever again. Awful customer service.

I live in British Columbia, Canada. I have a Thermador gas stove PRSG304 which I love when it is working. It is the heart of my house. HOWEVER it requires replacement of switches and the BK igniter about every two years at a cost of about $300. So now we are looking at about $1,000 in repairs since I have had it. I have sucked that up, but now I cant even get service. This year, the local authorized repair guy took three weeks to come out, said hed order the parts and then never came back despite phone calls. The second authorized repair guy could also not get out for three weeks and then did not show up for scheduled appointments twice, also despite calls and confirmation, so I gave up on him. I finally got in touch directly with Thermador Canada. They sent out a guy three weeks ago who said he would provide me with an estimate and order the parts. Still no estimate for the repair. They say hes coming back on November 15th but I have no idea of what its going to cost. I have phoned them 4 times and still nothing even though they commit to getting back to me. I have now been without two burners and my oven for several months. Why on earth would I ever buy Thermador again???? All I have is a beautiful piece of junk in my kitchen.

Remodeled kitchen 3 yrs ago & installed all Thermador appliances. Even though the built-in refrigerator didnt work from the time they installed it they would not replace it until they tried to repair it! So we basically went without a refrigerator for 2 months because it was not repairable and had to order a new one! The microwave went out a month after the warranty expired. Thermador did agree to honor the warranty. Repairman had to order part which took 6 wks. I was out of town when he came to repair. My son was home. When I returned I noticed dark spots & small dents on the front. After trying to clean spots off with no luck, I asked my son if he saw him work on the microwave and if he was rough with it to cause the damage. My son said he brought another microwave in. I called Thermador. After giving the serial # I was informed the unit was a 2008 model. My oven was a 2011. They asked for pictures of damage which was sent. No one from Thermador came to look or call me about complaint. I get a call saying the claim was closed because from the pictures I sent they couldnt see the damage. I asked about the fact that I got a used 2008 damaged unit. They said it was brand new! I told them that was fine but I would be warning others! Finally the Thermador rep called & asked what I wanted. I said, My microwave back and fixed. They did replace it with a new one. However exactly a year later the clock has stopped working which is what quit before the entire unit quit. Soooo, 2 weeks ago our gas oven quit working! I told my husband I refuse to call any of Thermadors licensed repairman and to just rip it out & go buy a Kenmore!!! He got online and chatted with someone that told him what could be the problem & how to repair himself. Ordered the part and tore the oven apart & fixed it himself!

I purchased the side by side fridge and freezer in 2011. The ice maker immediately stopped working so it was replaced. The new ice maker would then jam up and cause me to take the drawer out and manually break up the ice. Ive spent over $500 in repair costs to try to get this fixed and nobody has an answer. Now, 8 years after I bought it, I still have to pull the drawer out and manually break up the ice every couple of days. Thats hundreds of times now since I bought it. I get more annoyed each time I have to do it as you could imagine. Ive contacted Thermador support multiple times on this matter. Each time they deny my request for action on their end. My Thermador manual shows the reason for F-24/25 appearing means someone leaned against this panel for over sixty seconds. Ive never seen this before. We followed the directions to correct. Nothing happened. I called the Thermador Service ph#. Thermador sent a Technician Monday, Nov. 24th. This Thermador Technician said my manual is wrong, and the problem is the Cooling Fan broke. Then, Im informed it will be Dec. 11th, before this part is in. This is a part Thermador makes! I have a turkey in the fridge for Thanksgiving this week. If the other 300+ poor reviews dont deter you, perhaps this one will. I purchased a 6 burner range top from Pacific Sales along with a double convection oven. Out of the box, one of the burner keeps clicking and sparking. I phoned Thermador customer service immediately, they gave me an authorized tech. I called, he came and determined it must be a spark module problem. He returned to basically disassemble the entire stove, replacing not only the spark module, but wires as well. Took over 2 hours of trying to figure out the problem That didnt work. I felt I had the right as a customer to not have my new kitchen torn apart to figure a problem that lies with the manufacturer. I called and wrote to supervisors to evoke lemon law. No, they tell me that I needed to allow them 3 to 4 times to willy-nilly take apart the range and not figure out the issue. I rejected this. After 2 weeks of letter writing, emailing, and phone conversations, I agreed to let them do another repair. The tech they sent has been here for over an hour as I write this review, still trying to figure out the issue as if my stove is some sort of test for the tech. Really Thermador? Im just waiting for them to make good on their promise of replacing the range. Oh the tech they sent just knocked over a part and scratched up my brand new cabinet.

I spent THOUSANDS on what Id expect to be high end appliances which included a column fridge/freezer/wine cooler, ovens, range and range hood. From day one when the installer came to install, parts were missing, for the freezer, the range hood had parts that were not correctly fabricated, the fridge had broken trays as well as a faulty motor which operates the push door for opening and closing. Contacted CS to explain and have them resolve. They sent a Tech out to verify the issues. He said the parts would to be ordered. This was in May and now we are in June and I still do not have these resolved. In my first follow up call, I was told the parts had arrived and I should be receiving a call from the Tech to schedule an appointment. A week late, no call so I called CS again and asked to speak to a Supervisor. I was told the part never came and he didnt know why I was told it had. He then proceeded to tell me the part is still on order and it may take another few weeks. In the meantime, one of the parts (fridge tray) had been in the Techs possession way back in June. I proceeded to ask if the Tech could come and install the tray but was told that it would cost Thermador an unnecessary expense and they would send the Tech out once the other parts are received. He made no attempts to accommodate nor had sympathy.Considering all the crap that I have experienced, and patiently, I expected far more service and accommodation than was given. I purchased high-end appliances at a high cost expecting top-rated service, but it has not been anywhere near that. Its one thing to have bad products but to have horrific service too!!! From the reviews Ive read on this site, it appears Im not alone.

ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream
ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream of my wifes, which now has turned out to be her worst NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! We had it installed in our remodeled kitchen. Looks really nice, but for the most part so does a bookend. The range part works well but the oven is a joke. The only thing it cooks good is our bank account...! The wonderful people at Thermador thought they had better way to light a oven, putting a delay of so many seconds on the gas valve, before it lights... Thus filling your oven full of gas and when it lights, which you have a 50/50 chance that it might, the door on the oven jumps out a bit as it is now lit... For how long it stays going is a crapshoot. If you are cooking a roast that will take over a hour, forget it. It wont relight to keep at temp. But the fun part of it is the temp on the dial shows whatever the temp you set it at! Open the oven and its around 100 degrees. NICE! It is what it is and thats JUNK!We had a company who was great repairing the Wonderful PRO-Grand, new name should be PRO Crap, but anyway the repairman found a missing part in the oven. Called the Company and got the repair tech on the phone, who stated, We do not sell that Part... Now three weeks later the repair company going to bat for me, got the people at Thermador to send us the part. Which in fact they forgot to install at the so-called Factory! Wonderful the problem fixed right?????? NOPE! Installed that part and the oven is still doing the same thing...! Anyway not wanting to see the Nice repairman again for awhile we started using the barbecue as our new oven!Works great keeps the temp right and it only cost $300.00. Pro Grand $6000.00 Plus.... Is there something wrong with this picture????? Now we are getting close to the end of this Saga.....! Bit the bullet and called the Nice Repairman. Was like old home week for the first three minutes, but he got the Pro Grand apart could not figure it out and call the Factory Tech. His name is Mr. Confused. Was told what was happening and he could not figure it out either.....! So the Nice Repairman asked, Why do we need this delay on the gas and light it like the broiler lights? which is right now... Absolutely stunned at the extreme cost of this and the poor quality of the product. Thermador positions their products as being high-end and good quality, but their products including this freezer are the worst quality I have experienced. The freezer was brand new three months ago but wouldnt come out of demo mode which meant we couldnt use it. They had to send their repairman to come out and take it out of demo mode. He did that and then it turned on but the freezer doesnt get cold enough (meaning liquid ice cream), alarm keeps going of even when the doors are closed, and the ice maker and water system dont work. I called customer service again and they sent a repair guy. He tried some things but couldnt get it all to work so he said he had to leave for his next appointment so suggested we try something else ourself and if that didnt work itd have to be replaced. Guess what? Still didnt work. (And him leaving without resolving it should give you some idea of the customer service support you can expect.) Even after numerous repair appointments, its still not functioning and never has. Its brand new and we have a warranty on it and bought the extended warranty too (since they are so expensive.) Their customer service team has literally been zero help continuing to tell me that they will get back to me with a decision from management within 48 hours. A decision on what? --Whether or not they are willing to replace it or if they are going to send another repair person. Ive heard that line every few days for almost two months. Ive been without a working freezer since it was installed three months ago. After calling to check on the decision, they continue to say they will let management know I called and get back to me with a decision in 48 hours. They are a company that has no intention of honoring their warranties or in providing great quality products like they try to position them as. They dont work, their repair team is not knowledgeable and the customer service team will give you the runaround. Absolutely NOT worth the cost. I will never buy one of their products again.

We recently purchased a new Thermador oven Model MSD301WS/01. The user interface is horrible as it uses a display panel that is located about 2 feet off of the floor and requires you to swipe the menu options (like a smartphone) to make your selections. I literally have to kneel down on the floor to read the display and the text swipes so quickly that I have to carefully swipe word by word to find what I want to do. I never thought that turning on an oven to bake something would be so difficult and uncomfortable! The oven comes with WiFi capability that is impossible to connect to your router. It is so bad (not even sure if it works) that there are 3 places you have to get instructions to try and connect it - the user manual, a special home connect instruction pamphlet, and the app you have to install on your smartphone. After spending several hours trying to connect to my router (I come from the IT industry) I finally called customer support. We spent almost an hour trying to get it connected while he gave me step by step instructions from 2 different instruction sources. We could never get it connected so we decided I need a service call. He told me that if the problem is due to connectivity from my router then I would have to pay for the service call. My router works fine but I think that this is really poor customer service! I discourage anyone looking at new ovens to buy this one. I will probably send mine back.

Microwave wave generator broke for no apparent reason after 3 years of moderate to low use. It cannot be fixed so the microwave unit is worthless now. According to Thermador there is no way to replace just the microwave. What?????? So they want me to spend another $6,500 to replace the whole unit????? Total BS. I will never buy another thing from Thermador even again. This is pure extortion.Just FYI - you can buy the current built-in microwave ($900) alone and rig it to fit in the space of the old microwave in the tower. The faceplate (another $350) is different and were still working on getting to look as good as the original, but at least we dont have a big unfinished hole in the wall over the oven. It still cost us $1,400 total by the time we were done which is also a huge amount just for a microwave. The whole experience was total crap. Never again.

The refrigerator lost the freezer part at 5 yrs. I paid the service company they sent out to replace compressor, lines. Took 3 weeks to fix. 3 months later it goes again. 1 week out for a service. He comes today and says theres a contaminate? Or blocked line? I said, Well lets evacuate and recharge it?? He did and the door wouldnt close. I mentioned it and was told oh when the freezer reaches temp the door will suction close?? Ok the door doesnt close and the light is on. I called service again. No clue if its going to reach temp because the door doesnt close. Ive lost all the food in the freezer twice now. And waiting a week for a tech is absurd. No clue if its fixed but now the door doesnt work.

DO NOT BUY THERMADOR PRODUCTS!!! I bought my expensive double oven, cost $8000, 9 years ago. I have had over 18 appointments to repair it. It has cost me thousands. The electronic panel is right under the burners. Moisture constantly seeps in and shorts it out. Electronic panels cost $1100. I had to pay to have this done 3 times! Eventually I had to have a metal part designed at a sheet metal shop in Fullerton, installed to deflect the moisture and to lift it up off the bottom. I havent had a problem since. Went to clean the glass inside the oven and it shattered. I called and they said I had to buy a whole new door at a cost of $1100! Are you kidding me? I HATE MY OVEN! Now I am having NOTHING but problems with my expensive refrigerator! I have spent thousands on it as well. The list is endless: compressor out twice, heater once, ice maker three times. Rubber seal twice, it goes on and on!!! NO one cares at the customer service desk. NIGHTMARE!!!

Thermador 48 double oven ,4 burner, grill and griddle - We remodeled our kitchen in 2005, and I purchased what I thought was the best cooking appliance available. I was sadly mistaken. The small left side oven no longer works properly and can only be used as a warming drawer. The temperature will no longer go above 120 degrees. The part needed to repair this I am told is $900 plus labor. I doubt if I have used this oven more than 25 times since it was installed. I’m very dissatisfied since the oven we replaced (not Thermador) had worked perfectly since 1986.

We purchased Thermador double ovens for a brand new custom kitchen about 13 yr ago. We called Eatontown appliance of Eatontown NJ for service since we purchased the ovens there. It was $100 service call to inform us 2 days later that they cant get the parts as Thermador no longer carries them. So I called Thermador itself and they were very polite but totally unapologetic. You might be able to get them for a parts store on Internet (did not work). So unless you plan to throw out your ovens if you have a or any Thermador product I recommend you buy some other product. Eatontown wasnt much help either unless you want new ovens. Definitely not from them.

We had a Thermador double oven installed (built in) in 1999. We have had two major issues in that time. First was the control panel replacement - the electric panel needed to be switched out with a new one (2006). Now the convection feature for both ovens is not working (the bake, broil, self-clean are working properly - thats the good news!). So I called Customer Service and did you know the life of a Thermador oven is roughly 13 years? My message is, dont be fooled by Thermador!

Many functions for the fridge and love the stainless steel. Has nice drawers that are interchangeable and a new modern design. Have purchased and would recommend to anyone looking for a new fridge. The refrigerator has a nice variety of settings to adjust the temperature. It also runs excellent and make lettuce and meats always stay crisp. The refrigerator has beautiful stainless steel door with a movable compartments so you can put a cake in there. The amount of room really helps because I can pack a fridge. Made it easier to have a lot of more storage and flexible cooling settings. Ever since my old refrigerator, Ive been looking to replace it since the late 90s. My old one was horribly outdated and didnt seem to hold my valuable food anymore. Purchasing this new one has changed my life for me and my family. This product was so high quality my aunt went and purchased one from one of the retailers. Amazing drawer spaces and high end LED lighting along with French doors. Perfect for my huge home gatherings and keeps beer cold.

Bought a new Thermador refrigerator from Ferguson’s in May 2014. This being Hawaii, had to wait for delivery. You learn patience in Hawaii, so I was ok with that. But I had to pay full price plus shipping upfront. Not too happy about that. Finally got the refrigerator installed in July 2014. Loved it. Didnt care that it was $10,000, since it worked great and ease of use. Icemaker was efficient and made plentiful ice. Then, in late October, the icemaker just stopped working. Only one repair shop would come to our side of the island (20 min drive). I had to wait a month for the appointment. Still, I have learned patience, so I waited. Repairman was great. He found that there was a factory defect - a short in the electrical wiring inside the wall of the freezer unit. Cant be repaired, so he called Thermador and told them (actually he insisted) that they needed to replace the refrigerator. He told me they would be contacting me. I wait another month. Today I get a call from Thermador (message on my phone) that they cannot replace the refrigerator, as they cannot be expected to ship it to Hawaii. WHAT?? They will give a credit for the unit to Ferguson’s. Excuse me? I paid for the refrigerator, I called for the repair. This does not bode well. Is this just another way of forcing me to pay for shipping and installation again? I dont really want to deal with Ferguson’s again, as once the sale is made, its like a personality change on the salesmen. This credit thing should be interesting..... I know Im screwed. Ah well, the refrigerator still works, as does the freezer. I just buy bags of ice at the grocery and dump them in the ice bin. A previous complainant mentioned a class action lawsuit. Im in. I anticipate a major run-around on this. Customer service is terrible and they dont back up their product. And everyone on this website paid a lot more than was needed for the appliance that has failed them.

Bought a full kitchen suite of commercial grade Thermador products in 2013. Got the one-two-free promotion so a great price point and other leading brands had equal pro/con review. Have had continual problems since day one; oven has been repaired 4 times for motherboard, temp dial, heating consistency, burners not igniting; freezer ice maker repaired 3 times for clogging ice buildup which shuts down the ice maker and needs to be re-set. Still clogs and quits but I have stopped calling for expensive repair visits and now turn off the freezer for 10 minutes to re-boot the ice maker every time it clogs (about every other month); refr has salad makings consistently condense and rot with water after two days.Read all the manuals, following instructions. Today needed to change out a bulb in the oven and find the lamp housing installed backwards in the very back of the oven, making it almost impossible to get a screwdriver in to pry the glass lens off (well, actually havent got this accomplished yet so maybe it is impossible). The auto-shut off for warming drawer (as part of range) has never worked. Repairman said he could replace drawer for $1,000 - think I will place a $.01 post it note on it for turn-off reminder. Products all look great - but look for other brands! I would not buy Thermador again and as an architect I have my clients look at any other brand first.

I am an experienced baker of 35 years. We finally finished building our dream house and purchased a Thermador double oven in 2015. It has done nothing but ruin everything Ive baked. Had the service repairman out and was told I wasnt using the settings right. After using the times and settings according to the manual, baked goods turned out worse!I have wasted countless hours and ingredients trying to make something turn out right, adjusting temperatures, times, settings and rack placements. What a huge waste of money and disappointment with this oven. If I could afford to replace it, I would. No help from store we bought it from or Thermador manufacturing. Do not buy a Thermador oven. I would never recommend any products from this company after this experience. For many years, I baked in cheap ovens with great results. This $1,800 appliance has ruined my baking ability since we are now unable to replace it with something that works and unfortunately, it is built into the wall in an expensive cabinet.

Not even approved Thermador service companies will work on this unit. It requires two men to take it out to work on it. No one wants to do it. So far, I have paid one Thermador service company $359.66 upfront for half of the repair bill to repair the oven which is burning all the food and the microwave which hasnt work since the first year I purchased the unit. The repair told me after promising to show up two different times that he could not get anyone to help him remove the oven unit and it was too heavy for him to do his own. He has not returned my money. Next, my interior designer called the Thermador headquarters in Dallas. They charged me $59.99 upfront and said they would have a company approved repairman contact me. He contacted me but never came to the house. He too said he could not get anyone to help him take out the unit to work on it. He is no longer following up with me. I am currently using my 30 years old Black and Decker toaster oven which still works great. I am a Realtor for 26 years and homeowner here in The Woodlands. Many high-end homes use Thermador. Big mistake. My experience with Thermador has been expensive, time-consuming and hugely disappointing - a total waste of money.

We have a Duel Fuel Thermador range. We bought it about 4 years ago. But due to construction, we have only been using it for a little over three years. At a minimum, we have replaced two circuit boards, two fan motors in the hood and most recently the boiler coil has caught on fire and appears to have partially melted. Just read about the experience of another consumer of thermador oven appliance. I had the same experience about 6 years ago with my relatively new thermador wall oven (MEDES/01). During a cleaning cycle, the bottom oven glass completely shattered. Could have been dangerous if I had been nearby. Shame on Thermador for not fixing this problem! Otherwise the oven has been good, even if a bit confusing at times to use due to the electronic panel (which also had to be replaced early on). Now after about 6 years, the lower oven heating element has stopped working, so I have called a local repair company. No problems with my Thermador warming oven! I love it!

We purchased a Thermador convection 30 inch built in microwave double oven
We purchased a Thermador convection 30 inch built in microwave double oven when we did a complete remodel of our home back in 2001. The microwave broke the first day we used it. Broken glass ended up in my food. Service people replaced the glass, which subsequently broke again the second time we used the upper microwave. I was then informed by Thermador that the microwave actually was not meant to cook the food but just to keep it warm. I did not bother to fix the microwave again. The convection oven never worked welI. We tried multiple times and the food did not cook completely. The upper oven door is very heavy due to the combo microwave feature. The doors have broken three times over the years. We have replaced the hinges twice times since 2001: Once in Feb 2008 and again in Jan. 2014. We were informed by an independent service man that the Thermador hinges are defective and that the company has known about this for years but has failed to inform the consumer. The new hinges that I just purchased apparently are the same defective hinges that I purchased prior. The company has made better hinges because the doors are too heavy, but they do not sell these to consumers. All I asked Thermador was to replace the defective hinges with the improved version but they refused. When our oven broke on New Years Eve, we had a house full of guests. Our oven was 350 degrees and would not close would not close, and it was a hazard to our guests. Our neighbors helped us tie up the oven with rope to keep it from burning the children. We feel strongly that the Thermador oven is an inferior product.

I bought a $4000 professional 36 oven/stove. The power outage just fried the circuit board. This was the only time a power outage has ever damaged anything we own. Their response was to call service department if power cycling for 15 minutes doesnt do anything. Then to talk to the power company about fixing the issue with power (like they can control weather). I have Thermador cooktop, hood, warming drawers and double ovens since 2001 in my kitchen and I have been satisfied but very disappointed that they just keep replacement parts for 8 years and if you need repairs the technician have to search all over the country for a replacement part. Then we decided to have a winter home and they offer me an appliance package from Thermador that it was hard to pass. What a mistake! We bought a very high end Thermador dishwasher, DWHD630GCM, about 20 months ago. Four weeks ago, its lower pan completely broke so we called their repair service. The repairman told us that its not reparable, but Thermador should replace it because the hinge is not broken and hence the pan could not have been broken by us. We called Thermador to replace this dishwasher, but they flatly refused by saying that there is no manufacturing defect in this dishwasher. In 2013 I bought my dream kitchen appliances, paying close to $18,000.00 with a $2,000.00 install. I have had nothing but multiple problems with them. First, I called Thermador for a repairman. They gave me a number to a company that had closed their doors. It took several calls before I could find another repair dealer that was actually open. Repairs became constant. Microwave: Interlock switch replace, adjusted, again and again. It now blows my fuse. Freezer/Fridge: Freezer went out losing all food. Double oven: Replaced element and control panel and had to have it calibrated. Downdraft Vent Hood: Replaced motor (cost more than it is worth). Dishwasher: Grinding and error codes, leak, replaced sump. Some of these problems occurred over and over, costing us an amazing sum because Thermador only stands behind their products for two years. They claimed I only had called them for the microwave; but I registered all my products with them and called them multiple times, as did the repair dealer. They will do nothing to help make it right. Also, the company I bought them from, Orson Gygi in Utah, will not do anything either. They just feel sorry for you...tough luck. Don’t pay for expensive ‘dream’ kitchen appliances. You will have a great looking kitchen that is non-functional and cost you a lot of money. **The only appliance I have not had problems with is the magnetic cooktop that is glass. While I have a small chip in it, it is super easy to clean and so far, so good. It is beautiful. The ONLY product I am impressed with.

Our 7 year old built in fridge stopped keeping its temperature. A Thermador vetted tech found 2 gas leaks that were not repairable but explained that Thermador should provide us with a credit towards a new one. Customer service was nonexistent, they refused to provide a contact person and various agents kept asking for the same documents for over a month and a half (which were provided on day 1 with a confirmation of receipt) and not addressing our file. When we got tired of sending the same documents repetitively and getting the run around, we got angry and pushed for an answer. They offered us an insulting discount on the new model of our fridge. I expect some repairs to appliances but dont expect a 15k with tax fridge to not be repairable after 7 years and to have such a poor customer service experience from a luxury appliance company. Class action lawsuit, baby! Ive owned a dual heat convection range for 6 years. Ive had the motherboard replaced twice. The convection motor would not stop running. It almost caused a fire. I’ve had both oven elements replaced. They are unreliable. The grill and griddle heat unevenly. The only item of this oven that has not been repaired is the burner. Enough of this **! How do you sue these crooks!? When I see their slick print ads I see red!

We purchased a top-of-the-line Thermador CM302 double oven in 2004; since then, we have had to replace the Relay Board 3 times. The first time was covered under warranty, the second they paid for 10% of the part cost. We paid entirely for parts and labor after the 3rd failure. Now, it has failed again. Thermador Customer Service is unwilling to do anything about it; and to top it off, they tell me the relay board is no longer available. All they would do is give me the name of a company that might rebuild the board. No help as to who might remove and replace it for us, nor any support to get a new one. The oven wont operate properly - again. Their customer service associate was rude and arrogant. We own several Thermador, Bosch and Gaggenau products. NEVER AGAIN! I strongly suggest that anyone looking for premium appliances avoid EVERYTHING this company makes. Buy them at your own risk...

Dont buy Thermador ranges. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND A LOT OF IT. Weve had the ProGrand garbage for 1 year. Excluding previous problems, the most recent is the oven lights no longer function. Called Thermador for assistance. They stated that while still under warranty, the oven bulbs (2 of them) are a routine consumer maintenance issue and a tech would not be assigned. So, I spent $40 for a bulb. Despite I specified that no lights function in the oven, Thermador sent me only 1 light. With much difficulty, I replaced the defective bulb in the lower right of the oven. Powered the oven back up, AND NOTHING. Removed the new bulb and placed it into the upper left socket. After powering back up, AND NOTHING.Frankly, Ive never had to replace an oven bulb in a 10 year old oven, you know, the far cheaper commonly found brand names of Kenmore, Amana, Frigidaire or other LOW END ovens. But for $10,000 you can buy a Pro Grand and have all kinds of fun calling for support, technicians, and an oven that is pure, bonafide garbage. Get this, in preheating mode, the oven will on occasion never reach set point. Rebooting the power supply seems to help. The racks are a dream too. They are extremely difficult to interchange to a new height setting. And they DONT CARE.On a prior occasion speaking with Thermador support, I asked if I could convey my dissatisfaction with their quality group. Specifically, they have some serious quality control issues. I was told that was not possible. This oven, and the lack of Thermadors concern is all the reason a consumer needs to know that this product is garbage and very expensive at that, relatively to conventional offerings. STAY AWAY, DONT BUY A THERMADOR OVEN.

I bought a Thermador refrigerator (T360T810NS) in August 2014. It cost almost $8000.00. As other reviews have stated, it is noisier than I would have liked but that was tolerable. However, in May, 2019 (less than 5 years of service), the temperature sensor for the ice maker went out and had to be replaced ($420.00). Then it was determined that it was not the problem. It would have cost me another $500 to figure out what it was so I decided not to fix it. However, my major disappointment is in the response from Thermador when I tried to contact them. The people on the telephone were nice and did provide an email address after I waited over a month to get a response from the contact email on the website and after other calls. I sent that email over a month and havent heard a word and it did not bounce back. For high end appliances, they should have better consumer service. I will not buy another Thermador product.

Thermador -Unless you enjoying seeing F-34 codes on the panel, do not buy! Their products are suppose to be a higher end brand of appliances and the cost goes right along with that. I have a Thermador built in double wall oven. I cannot tell you how many control panels I have had replaced at $486 each plus labor! Tack on the relay and touch panel replacements, Ive clearly spent more on the repairs than the outrageously priced oven. I had an authorized Thermador service company here. After following the advice of THERMADOR tech. (who was on speaker phone,) they decided to replace the control panel. That was done but it did not fix the problem. So now trying a display panel BUT once an electronic part is opened it cannot be returned. So $486 down the drain. When panel was connected something happened with electric and everything went out. Now they say I need relay, control and display! NO THANK YOU!!I have never written a negative comment on any appliance before and probably would not have bothered with this, but the poor customer service was worse than the actual horrible oven. When I called customer service, I can tell that she was not interested in what I had to say. All service call copies were emailed to the email address given with a case number she gave me. I followed up 3 days later and of course they said customer service gave me the wrong email address. Back to square 1. No working oven, in the middle of a pandemic with a family of 6 and only a cooktop and microwave. Thank goodness my cooktop is a Viking. Never had a service call on it. I am purchasing a new wall oven. I would love to drop this off at Thermadors doorstep. Purchasing a new oven. Needless to say it will not be a Thermador.

I was sitting in my kitchen in March, when I heard a loud explosion... It was very scary. I did not know where the sound had come from. Later, when I opened my Thermador oven as it was on the Cleaning Cycle, the entire inside glass was broken in large cracks. When I opened the door, little powder flakes went on the floor. When I cleaned the floor, little pieces came into my skin. No blood or anything, it felt like slivers in the skin. They worked out in a week. So no serious damage, just hurt and bothered me. I dont think any oven glass should break. It was a very expensive downdraft in the counter island type stove. I consider it a serious safety issue. I called Abt to let them know what happened, I was referred to Thermador and it took many calls back and forth. I offered to send them photos of the damaged oven. But, they wanted a repairman to come. So, I lost time waiting and having a man come to say, Yes. It is broken glass. A repair man came out for no charge from Abt paid for by Thermador. Abt repairman said it was a thermo blast and not uncommon. Later Abt said they would submit a claim to Thermador. The door and glass were not available any longer and no other contact was made. I waited several weeks, called back regarding the claim and was told by Abt that Thermador was doing nothing. End of Story. Abt said that Thermador said my stove was too old. It was 20 years old. I understand things do not last forever, however, should glass explode for no reason and their product should last as long as it is maintained and cared for correctly, which it was.I was surprised that Thermador did not write me a postcard or email or call to say that they didnt care what happened... Too bad. But instead, they took no responsibility for their oven exploding. Never ever said, Oh sorry, just really indifferent. I am writing as I do not think that Thermador stands behind their product. This stove of mine had every bell and whistle and was supposed to be top of the line. I was surprised that I was not offered a small discount on a new stove, or even an apology letter. Their customer service is definitely not very good to their customers and they do not stand up for service or care to the consumer. Thank you for your time and I appreciate it if others were made aware of Thermadors lack of customer service and that also to expect a glass explosion in the oven without warning. Watch out when baking if small children are nearby.

I purchased a complete set of Thermador appliances, double oven, microwave oven, dishwasher and refrigerator three years ago for my kitchen remodel. Every appliance has stopped working at least once. This Thanksgiving 2011, while cooking dinner for 25 family members, the ovens went out again. The oven and refrigerator has quit three times. They were repaired once under warranty and I have paid over 1600.00 for the other repairs. This stuff is junk. The service hotline was unhelpful and kept giving me service companies that would not work on their product anymore. I will never recommend or purchase anything from this manufacturer again.

I remodeled my kitchen in July 2015. I was so excited when my Thermador Range arrived and was put into place. My daughter and I couldnt wait to use it! She started by baking cookies. She is an amazing baker. The cookies she baked in the Thermador came out very different. They were done on the outside and raw on the inside. Same thing every time she baked after that. She really thought she was losing her touch. Yesterday was Thanksgiving and I had 8 people coming for dinner. I couldnt wait to show off my new range! I put the Turkey in the oven at 11:30 on 325. At 5:30 it looked done on the outside but was raw on the inside. It was thoroughly thawed when I put it in the oven. As a matter of fact everything took twice as long to cook as it should have. After everyone went home and I was cleaning the kitchen I decided to put the self cleaning on. About 20 minutes later there was a big crash and shattered glass all over my kitchen floor!! The interior glass exploded!! I was so scared and in such shock! I started researching and realized there are so many problems with Thermador! I dont want to fix it. I just want it out of my house. I contacted an attorney and Im hoping I can give it back. I called the appliance place I bought it from and asked them to take it back. I told customer service I would purchase a Wolf and pay the difference. She laughed and said What are we supposed to do with the Thermador? Why Thermador is still in business I dont understand! I will never make a big purchase again without seeing the reviews first. I hope this saves someone else from making the big mistake I did.

We built our custom home in 2007 which was completed January 2008. We were living in California and spent five months out of the year in our future retirement home in Washington State. In 2014 we sold everything in California and moved permanently to Washington. In 2014 and 2015 we spent nine months of the year in Washington and the rest traveling and in Portland. My control panel went out on my double Thermador oven three weeks ago. I contacted Thermador and requested that they give us a discount on our oven part as we were not here using it as we lived in California and were not retired yet. The management told us that it was too long since it was installed. This doesnt sit well with my husband and I at all. We have had Thermador products for the past 35 years with a double oven and single in California as well as a stove top. We WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. This oven cost almost $4,000. The appliance people who diagnosed the problem had a terrible time finding this part. This is not acceptable either. Thermador is not a company that we will recommend to anyone with the outcome of this problem. Their management SUCKS.

We have the stainless steel model with the side by side oven racks and double top cooking ranges and let me just say it looks absolutely stunning in my kitchen. Very sleek and modern look that would make any kitchen look spectacular. The overall size was just perfect for what I needed. First a little background. We own 2 homes and in them we have 3 Bosch dishwashers, 2 Thermador Cooktops and Thermador oven. All purchased new within the last 5 years. So with our one cooktop [$1,530 purchase price] one burner wasnt working and the burner cap had fallen down into the unit. We contacted the local AUTHORIZED Thermador repair center. They came out and said the end caps had fused on due to heat and the cooktop couldnt be taken off to do the repair. They said it would have be drilled out and a new cooktop installed. We then contacted where we had purchased it and they said this was a common problem with Thermador and suggested we contact them. We contacted Thermador and opened a claim. They asked us to get an invoice showing we purchased the cooktop new, verification of the diagnosis by their authorized repair center, and the new cooktop invoice and installation receipt. While I was gathering all of those invoices we received a call back saying they would not do anything to assist us because we hadnt contacted them to see if it could be repaired. In fact we had and contacted their repair center. We hadnt contacted while the problem had occurred. In fact we had and opened the claim the day the repair was being done. We even spoke with a supervisor [Vanessa] who simply said they do not help in these cases. If this is how they treat a customer who had purchased what we had [and all high end products] I cant imagine how they treat everyone else. There will be no Bosch or Thermador going back into our home.

I purchased 3 Thermador appliances in 2015 when I remodeled my first Thermador kitchen, which I LOVED. First: the new wall oven, model MED271JS, the narrowest oven they make at 27 wide, does not heat properly. It beeps that it has reached the set temp., but actually is 50 degrees (more or less) below the set temp. Baking cookies is a crap shoot as to whether they will be flat, indicating too low an oven temp. and that is what I usually get...flat cookies. I have not been able to consistently correct this problem. Roasting is also unpredictable. I have ruined many of very expensive meals due to the temp problem.I have had our local Thermador repair people out 3-4 times to address the inconsistent heating problem. They were unable to correct the issue and told me that new ovens now take longer (up to 30 minutes) to preheat an oven, and that this oven was operating as it should. Also, the oven cannot be set to start at a later time. It does have a Sabbath mode, but that has to be scheduled the day before I want to start up the oven, which for me is useless. So the oven does not heat properly and has no TIME BAKE setting. I will not purchase a Thermador product for my new house that we are building.Second: the cooktop SGSX365FS, cooks beautifully. Temps are easy to control, but cleaning is a bear. The star shaped burners make cleaning far more difficult than round ones, but the shape does cover the bottom of pots better than round ones. And the glass plate under the knobs is not sealed to the cooktop, and is not removable to clean spills that flow underneath it! Now there is thoughtful engineering. I use a pipe cleaner to sort of clean the under surface. Lastly, the micro-convection microwave-oven combination unit, model MCES, works as expected. We often use it to bake small meals and the temp is far more predictable than in the main oven... It does not bake bakery very well but that is not recommended by Thermador. My first Thermador kitchen was beautiful and fabulous to use. Current Thermador products are sorely lacking. Sad.

We bought Thermador appliances throughout four years ago when re-modeling our kitchen. Never again. Thermador is junk, its priced two or three times what a normal appliances cost, and they dont last as long as a typical Hotpoint. Our double wall ovens, model PODC302, ($5,700) have had temperature-accuracy problems after a year of use. Weve had thermostats replaced. We will likely need the control panel to be replaced (thats $1,500). The ovens currently either heat to 500+ degrees when set to 250-300 or they dont heat at all, ruining another holiday dinner. Our microwave, model MBES, ($1,500) has a door-open button made out of taffy -- replaced twice so far and failing again. The dishwasher works, and the $11,000 built-in fridge/freezer only required two service calls to work properly. So far. So thats 50% of the stuff that doesnt work. Never, ever buy Thermador. Their products are astronomically-priced trash, their support is nonexistent, and their replacement part costs are straight out of the Porsche parts-pricing school. Live and learn.

4 year old ovens. We have been having problems baking and cooking things in the ovens. Seemed inconsistent. Supposedly quality product but finally clued in that we should check the temperature. So we checked set to 350. Oven heats and beeps and says its 350 but its only 275. Do same 400. Beeps goes to 350. Not consistent and gauge lies. Called Thermador. Said they would send a tech. No mention of a fee until 1 week wait and 10 minutes before arrival. Pay $120 plus $60/15 minutes. Turns out not even the first 5 minutes was included... Cheesy. So he determined the ovens are fine as they turn on. Called Thermador. They say they will eventually creep to a higher temperature. Nothing they can do. Useless ovens as they heat to different temperatures and different settings and the gauges are not correct and seems they are cheating on when the temperature is at its set level. Never thought we would have this issue with what we thought was a quality brand and am very disappointed with their lack of wanting to take any responsibility. Absolutely will never buy a Thermador product again and will enjoy telling others to avoid it.

I Purchased Thermador Appliances for my Kitchen (Microwave, Refrigerator, Stove, Oven, Dishwasher) for a second home that I live in two times a year for a short period of time. Microwave died, repairing it would cost over $600. No option to replace it because it is discontinued and no other microwave will fit the built in space in my kitchen. Customer services pretty much gave me the only option of remodeling my kitchen as a solution, or to spend another $1000 in the same old microwave purchased from a distributor that still has it on stock.I asked if they were really advising me to purchase a microwave they obviously discontinued because it was defective....they said yes! Grace, the manager I spoke with was absolutely the worst employer at Thermador. She hang up on me. Barret a customer service representative was nice initially but after speaking to his supervisor (Grace) came back to me lying and telling me I had no alternatives but to remodel. Barret I feel for you for having a boss like that.Aside from the microwave, the dishwasher door also broke.... The parts I ordered to fix it dont match my old parts. I contacted Thermador for this as well and again....no solution. They dont know what is going on and nothing they can do. I do advice to stay away from this company. I purchased a whole kitchen of appliances in 2019. My pride purchase was a Thermador 36 inch gas 4 burner with a grill in the middle. 7149.99 stove alone. The meat probe from the oven was never used until that Thanksgiving when I was going to cook my first turkey with my Thermador stove probe kit. Seems simple right? They just decided that they would replace my stove. The replacement is the stove prg366wh which is 1000.00 dollars less. They refuse to reimburse even a fraction of the amount claiming Ive had the stove over a year, even though my call for service was less than 6 months after owning the stove. Ive declined, Im off to court. Somethings are a matter of principle. Bottom line, Thermador is no longer able to support their past reputation. One last thing I discovered during this problem. The parts are made in China, so how do they claim the quality when everything is being made for all at the same sweatshop. Stay away from Thermador. Worst purchase Ive made in 20 years.

Built a new home 5 years ago and paid the price to install Thermador major appliances. The oven failed twice during warranty and was out of service about 10% of the first year of operation. Most recently the main circuit board in the refrigerator failed. The fridge is 5 years old and Thermador doesnt make or keep any spare parts. My options are to try to find someone who can rebuild the board or buy a new refrigerator. We are trying to get the board repaired by a free lance computer jock. Well see how that goes. Dont buy Thermador.

We remodeled our kitchen before moving into our, new to us, but older home, back in 2014. When it was time to choose appliances, I was extremely excited, being a baker especially wanting to enjoy our new oven. The existing gas stove in the home was a Thermador so I thought I would get the same brand for the oven. The salesman wasnt very helpful so I just chose the double convection oven. Surprisingly, the convection aspect was not useful in controlling odors emanating from the oven, as I was told it would.Recently, the control panel went out, affecting many functions of the oven, the main one being only ONE oven would turn on at a time. The repair person explained the two year warranty and although this was a very expensive repair; upwards of $600, Thermador would not reimburse me for that reason. The oven also heats food is quite unevenly. Additionally we paid for the upgraded glider shelves, which do not glide appropriately. Then I discovered part of the shelf is bent, which explains the poor function, yet also indicates poor quality control. Overall, I am not impressed with this brand and would not recommend them.

My Thermador dual-fuel range has never worked properly. The oven will not heat at the same time as the griddle, despite repeated service calls. For the second time, the oven will not heat above 200 degrees. Today, I was stood up by their authorized service dealer, Appliance Masters. I took off a half day of work but just received their message saying they cant come during that time.

My Thermador double oven is only 3yrs old. The first problem I had was to replace the clock. It had stop working. Thank goodness it was still under warranty that time. Now after 3 years having the oven, my stress level had sky rocket. First, it took over a month to finally to get an authorized technician to come out to look at it. So, I had 3 technicians to tell me what parts I need to replace it. Thermador have given me 50% off the price of the parts. Well I guess the management felt sorry for me since it took over a month to get a Technician out here. So, the technician ask me to order the first two parts which was the wire harness & module control. Well it still didnt work. So I order the 3rd parts; it still didnt work. Then I finally order the 4th part which is the power supply. My oven is still not working! For the fourth time of replacing this parts. This oven is totally curse. This is beyond me. I have never in my life had never run into this kind of problem. Worse than a vehicle. This issue has been going on for 5 months now. Please if someone is reading this or had the same similar incident. I need help!

The Thermador dishwasher was installed in the summer of 2012 (7 years ago). I have had to replace the computer as the lighting wasnt working (within 2 years). Shortly after replacing the same problem re-occurred. Now the dishwasher does not turn off and it runs and runs with no water. Thermador stated that I should get it serviced - no concern whatsoever that this product was costly to purchase and costly to repair. Thermador DWHD630IFM. No more products from Thermador.

Wow. We have had so many problems with our gas range since purchased. We have a service warranty for 5 years and were lucky visits were covered. The experience of 2-3 visits per year for multiple problems is a nightmare. Burners out, potentiometers out, sparking constantly, oven burners out or shot. Wait for parts weeks at a time..... Like others, pretty range sits not of any use. Help....

We purchased a Thermador T18IF900SP3 which is a stand alone freezer column
We purchased a Thermador T18IF900SP3 which is a stand alone freezer column in November of 2017. Periodically the high temp alarm would go off with readings around 29-33 degrees. It happened intermittently for several months so I finally called Thermador and connected us with their service representatives in our area, St Louis Appliance Repair. Visit one was exploratory and a new board needed and ordered. A week-ish later part comes in and we schedule a visit in a few days. The tech comes out for visit two but the board did not work properly so the old one was put back in and another one ordered. The freezer continued to work with an occasional high temp warning. Visit three is a mirror image of visit 2. Yes a second board that does not work at all apparently. The old one is put back in (again) and the freezer works as good as before. On visit 4 (Tuesday before Memorial Day) the new board is installed and supposedly works because the tech leaves it in but says the molex connector has a crimped connection. He takes pictures and sends to Mike ** at Thermador which is apparently Bosch or owned by Bosch. The next morning the high temp alarm is ringing away and the freezer is 60 degrees and food melted so we chuck it all out. It is now Friday - 4 days later - and Mike ** has apparently still not gotten back to St. Louis Appliance Repair. I have called both S.T.A.R. and Thermador every day since Wednesday only to get another person saying Im sorry... or Were sorry... but we are awaiting for a decision from the factory, we are awaiting a decision from management on replacement, we are awaiting on a decision from Mike **, we are awaiting a decision for the tech, we dont have your proof of purchase, No we dont need your proof of purchase as St. Louis Appliance Repair will send it, (said Nakia) but they did NOT so I sent it, We dont have the notes from St Louis Appliance Repair says Thermador... What a never-ending run-around of poor customer service and process malfunction. So if you ask me if you should go with Thermador for your new kitchen? I WOULD SAY NO!!! And Bosch? If you own Thermador then how about Bosch for your new kitchen? PLEASE DONT! We spent a fortune on all Thermador appliances. I would NEVER do it again. So here we are about 5 weeks after St Louis Appliance Repairs first visit with the freezer working worse than before I made that fateful call for help. Will it ever get fixed? Not sure. Our family is coming in for Memorial Day Weekend for Moms 90th Birthday and to see the new kitchen. Thermador your broken freezer will be propped open and shut off so it doesnt smell like mildew. Thanks.

We bought all Thermador appliances when we remodeled our kitchen. The double ovens have been nothing but trouble. We have had to replace the ignitors twice on the small oven and twice on the large oven. When I tell you the larger oven may have been used 10 times in between replacements, I might be exaggerating. Thermador refuses to do anything. When you call they are happy to note your concern in the account and that is it! We should have gone with Wolf.

We purchased our Thermador gas range and oven when we remodeled our kitchen
We purchased our Thermador gas range and oven when we remodeled our kitchen in 2005. We purchased a 48 professional range because I cook and bake a lot and have a lot of family to accommodate. This Thanksgiving my oven would heat but not hold a temperature. We had a repair tech come out and it is the thermometer. It shuts off the heating element when it reaches the desired temp. This part is discontinued by Bosch/Thermador rendering our perfectly good oven useless. The one part has made this oven and range obsolete. The companys customer service rep was awful and basically had nothing to say but that we should get a new one. I will NEVER buy a Thermador, Gagganau or Bosch product again. An $8000.00-$10,000 item rendered useless by a part and no customer service recourse.

I wish Id never bought it. This Thermador range has very finicky computer boards under the two X-LO simmer burners which are the first to go. My stove was delivered in September; the first burner broke in November, the next one in December, a third one in January, and in February, the original broken one broke again. I had 7 service appointments in the first 6 months for 4 out of 5 burners, and I wanted to return the stove. Its a lemon, or a bad design. But neither the appliance store nor Thermador would hear of it. Thermador extended my warranty another year, and that first burner just broke again. So Ive had 10 service calls now in two years. I told my friend who was shopping not to get this stove, but she ignored my advice, got a Thermador, and had to call service for repair in the first couple months. Choose a Wolf or Viking instead!

Buy any other brand other than Thermador for refrigeration! Fortunately we only purchased the under counter drawers but 2 motherboards have been replaced and it still is pinging 3 times every time the compressor goes on. First problem- the drawers just stopped cooling - first motherboard replacement after 4 months of waiting for them. Second problem- the pinging that happens when you accidentally leave the doors ajar, once it went off, it would not stop even though closed. Motherboard #2 replaced and the control panel after 3 weeks of waiting. Repair guy left, and now it is still pinging 3 times when the compressor goes on. What a friggin nightmare for $6000 bucks. Should have bought a sub zero or any other brand. This thing is a lemon, and going out of warranty soon- would never buy a Thermador again! A company that does not understand how to do refrigeration has no business selling them.
