Smeg Range Troubleshooting

If you're looking for help fixing your Smeg Range, look no further! Our comprehensive Smeg Range Troubleshooting guide will explain common issues, provide tips, and show you how to read your model's error codes.

Step 1
Turn on the oven if your kitchen is fitted with power switches for major appliances if the oven is completely unresponsive. Slide the oven away from the wall and ensure the power cable is connected to the outlet if you recently moved the appliance to a new location. Reset the circuit breaker or fuse protecting the oven's circuit if the oven if the outlet isn't working.

Step 2
Turn the child lock off if "Bloc" appears on the display when you press a button. Hold down the "Function/Thermostat" knob for five seconds to enter the oven's "Secondary Menu"; tap the dial until "Bloc" appears on the display then turn the dial until "Off" is displayed. You can temporarily turn off the child lock by holding the "Function/Thermostat" for five seconds. The lock returns when the oven is left inactive for more than two minutes.

Step 3
Turn off "Showroom Mode" if "SHO" appears on the display or if the oven fails to heat up. Hold down the "Function/Thermostat" knob for five seconds and tap the dial until "SHO" appears on the display. Turn the dial until the display show "Off." Showroom mode is designed to exhibit the oven's features while on display in a store. The controls are functional but the oven doesn't heat up.

Step 4
Turn off the power limited if "PO" appears on the screen or if the oven doesn't reach the desired temperature. The power limiter makes the oven use less electricity but causes it to take longer to warm up. Hold down the "Function/Thermostat" button for five seconds and tap the dial until "PO" appears on the display. Turn the dial until "Off" appears and use the oven as normal.

Step 5
Turn the oven off and re-enter your cooking instructions if "ERR4" appears on the display. This code indicates problem with the oven door lock usually caused when the door is opened just before the lock is engaged. Keep the door closed while the oven is programmed and heating up.
