Check the Contents: Make sure there are no metal objects or utensils inside the microwave. Metallic items, such as aluminum foil, metal containers, or utensils, can cause sparking and should never be placed inside a microwave.


Examine the Interior: Carefully open the microwave door and inspect the interior. Look for any signs of damage, burnt spots, or foreign objects that might have caused the sparking.


Remove Debris: If there are any food particles or debris inside the microwave, clean them thoroughly. These particles can lead to sparking if they are left unattended.


Inspect the Waveguide Cover: Most microwaves have a waveguide cover that protects the microwave's magnetron (the part responsible for producing microwaves). Ensure that the waveguide cover is clean, not damaged, and properly installed. A damaged or dirty waveguide cover can cause sparking.


Avoid Using the Microwave: If the sparking continues or you suspect there might be an internal issue with the microwave, it's best to avoid using it until it has been inspected and repaired by a qualified technician.
