Coupled with the Ecobee thermostat, the system is much quieter than any HVAC system that we have ever had. So far we've only needed our (master) bedroom to be cold and thats what it does. Our room is smaller than 500 sq ft, (apartment living yaaay. ) Some reviews mentioned that its loud but it's not like what i expected. The black box fan from Walmart is louder than this. It fit vertically in our window. The only eye sore is the hoses but its fine. Id rather be cold with an eyesore than melting with no ac. We can't say enough nice things about Continental. Our AC went out on a Saturday night and we asked to have someone come out the next day. They were there on time and gave us several options to fix our issue. We opted to have the whole heating/cooling system upgraded and it was completely finished Monday afternoon. Payne is a good air conditioner company, their HVAC systems seldom let you down. When I read reviews about it though I found a lot of negative reviews and wondered if the quality had been watered down. I ignored most of it though because sometimes the installation is the problem. I replaced my old Ruud ac with Payne and so far it has only proven me right. The system was installed about a year and a half ago and all I have done is routine maintenance.
