Avanti Range Troubleshooting

Surface burners do not light.
• Surface control has not been completely turned to the ON position. Push in and turn control to the ON position until burner ignites, then turn control to desired flame setting.
• Burner ports are clogged. Use a small gauge wire or needle to open ports.
• Burners not positioned properly. Verify that the burners are positioned properly on the orifice hoods and the burners are sitting flat on the burner support with tabs engaged in slots.
• Range not set for appropriate gas input.
• Pilot lights won’t light due to power failure. Light pilots manually.
• Range power cord is disconnected from the outlet. Be sure power cord is plugged into grounded outlet.
Flame burns halfway round.
• Burner ports are clogged. Use a small gauge wire or needle to open ports.
• Moisture is present after cleaning. Lightly fan the flame and allow burner to operate until flame is full.
• Range is not set for appropriate gas input
Flame is orange.
• Dust particles in main line. Allow burner to operate for a few minutes until flame turns blue.
• Range is not set for appropriate gas input.
Oven light does not work.
• Burned out or loose bulb. Tighten or replace oven light bulb.
Oven or broiler does not heat.
• Range is not set for appropriate gas input.
• Temperature control not set properly. Make sure temperature control is set at desired temperature.
• Pilot light will not light due to power failure. The oven or broiler cannot be lit during a power failure.
• House fuse has blown or circuit breaker has tripped. Check/reset circuit breaker and/or replace fuse. Do not increase fuse capacity. If the problem is a circuit overload, have it corrected by a qualified electrician.
• Range cord is disconnected from outlet. Be sure the power cord is plugged into a grounded outlet.
Oven temperature is inaccurate.
• Oven capillary bulb not positioned properly. Verify that capillary bulb is snapped in clips straight and not touching sides or coated with oven cleaner or food.
• Temperature control not set properly. Make sure the temperature control knob is set at the desired temperature.
• Improper use of foil. Keep foil clear of holes in oven bottom and off of oven sides.
• Vent blocked. Keep vent on back guard clear.
• Range not set for appropriate gas input.
Smoke or odor on initial oven operation.
• This is normal.
Range is not level.
• Poor installation. Place oven rack in center of oven. Place a level on the rack. Adjust leveling legs.
• Weak or unstable floor. Be sure floor is level and can adequately support range. Contact carpenter to correct sagging or sloping floor.
• Kitchen cabinet misalignment may make range appear to be unlevel. Be sure cabinets are square and have sufficient room for range clearance. Contact cabinetmaker to correct problem.
Oven smokes excessively.
• Meat too close to broiler burner. Reposition the broiler pan to provide more clearance between the meat and the broiler burner.
• Meat not prepared properly. Remove excess fat from meat.

I'm so happy that I upgraded my old stove to this newer model in my smaller basement flat. It has closed-door broiling which is nice and storage underneath for pans. I like that it has an electronic ignition for gas so that it is more energy efficient. I haven't made anything on it yet but hope to get a lot of use from it.
I love this stove! I should've posted a review earlier, but it fits in my little kitchen, and it matches my Samsung fridge and other appliances perfectly!
If you turn a burner's valve on you will receive gas ! Even if you don't light the burner with the ignitor or a match you will receive gas. Just be smart. It fits in my tiny kitchen and in years it's worked like a champ. I couldn't be happier with this buy. I especially like the top burner broiler, just like it's bigger brother's broilers. And it's ready for propane too. This is a buy and hold recommendation.
Very handsome unit. Safety features (read: clicking) to make you aware of flowing gas is annoying but all new ranges do that, I think. This range seems to have all the same features as any full size top of the line gas range. It feels sturdy. The unit was missing a screw for the railing of a bottom drawer. Rats. I called Amazon and they said they couldn't help with the screw but would gladly take the range back. For a twenty cent screw?? Nope. However, they insisted on extending my Prime when I declined a discount. The rep's idea, not mine. Then I called Avanti. With two minutes they took my shipping info and said they'd send out a whole new drawer assembly because they don't carry the screw. All in all, this speaks awfully well of both Amazon and Avanti. I hope this was helpful.
Great stove! Easy to set up for propane. I have done many propane conversions from frigerators to dryers and this was one was by far easier. I have read all the negative reviews and every one of the issues mentioned could have been solved just by following the simple instructions on how to install and also adjust the flame if need be. My stove made it all the way to Alaska without a scratch or dent, and yes even thou your box showed no damage, just flip it side ways or up side down like the freight companies do and you can damage the stove and yet the outside box still looks fine.
I own one of these refrigerators theyre so cheap made, that the doors wont even stay tightened, and it’s not as cold on the inside as it should be. Even turned all the way up. I own the stove and dishwasher too and theyre not any better, big nightmares if you ask me, don’t waste your time.
